Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Another time, opportunity, and accomplishment and accolade for the Jonas Brothers.
- 0:04Speaker 1: By the way, a few weeks ago, not too long ago,
- 0:07Speaker 1: they just were named Disney Legends at the D23 Convention
- 0:12Speaker 1: of Fans in Anaheim.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Congratulations, Jonas Brothers. Very fun.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 0:19Speaker 2: And when you think about a thing that was.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Kevin, Nick, Joe, to be a legend already and still
- 0:25Speaker 1: the youth of America at the same time, that's an
- 0:28Speaker 1: intersection of pop culture yet to be achieved.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Wouldn't you say, Joe? Absolutely.
- 0:32Speaker 4: I mean, I think working with Disney all these years
- 0:36Speaker 4: and to share the room with Anne Hathaway and The Rock,
- 0:40Speaker 4: formerly known as Dwayne Johnson, it really is special to
- 0:45Speaker 4: receive something such like a high honor.
- 0:47Speaker 5: It really is a beautiful room and we're so excited,
- 0:50Speaker 5: you know, to continue kind of doing more projects with them.
- 0:52Speaker 5: I mean, we just released Camp Rock 3 only a
- 0:55Speaker 5: few weeks ago as producers, which is kind of wild.
- 0:59Speaker 3: And so maybe more in the future.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Have you read Dwayne's contract? Because that language that you
- 1:05Speaker 1: recited is exactly what I think is in his vocabulary
- 1:10Speaker 1: of his deal. Dwayne The Rock Johnson, formerly known as
- 1:13Speaker 1: The Rock Dwayne Johnson.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I think you have to say that every time.
- 1:16Speaker 3: That's his Wikipedia now, yeah.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Nick, what would you say if you were to distill
- 1:21Speaker 1: this down, the Jonas brothers secret to the magic, the
- 1:26Speaker 1: secret to the success year after year, what would you
- 1:29Speaker 1: distill it down to?
- 1:30Speaker 4: I mean, I think it's hands down the fans.
- 1:33Speaker 6: Um, it's just been incredible to watch over the last,
- 1:36Speaker 6: you know, 20 years at this point, um, how they've
- 1:40Speaker 6: stuck by us, grown with us now introduce their kids
- 1:42Speaker 6: to the music and, and looking out at these shows,
- 1:45Speaker 6: you know, seeing new fans, um, and, and fans that
- 1:49Speaker 6: have been there forever.
- 1:50Speaker 7: Just means the world to us.
- 1:51Speaker 3: And I think it's also a testament to our, our
- 1:56Speaker 3: love for working with each other and getting to do
- 1:57Speaker 3: what we do together.
- 1:58Speaker 7: It's, it's really incredible to get to share these, these
- 2:01Speaker 7: moments with family and to still be having these new experiences.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Jonas Brothers with us. So Kevin, I think about this often, right?
- 2:08Speaker 1: Like what is the magic? What is it that you
- 2:11Speaker 1: guys do? Obviously you're, you're talented. You perform amazingly. You
- 2:15Speaker 1: reach people all over the world. But to me, there's,
- 2:16Speaker 1: there's an equation Kevin of like, you bring in new
- 2:19Speaker 1: fans with the excitement of new things, but I feel
- 2:22Speaker 1: like you reward, like you, you reward those who have
- 2:26Speaker 1: been there for a long time.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Do you ever think about it like that?
- 2:30Speaker 3: Uh, I, we, I don't know about reward. I feel
- 2:33Speaker 3: like I'm, we're rewarded.
- 2:34Speaker 8: Uh, honestly, like the last thing we just did obviously
- 2:37Speaker 8: was the, uh, burn it up tour all over again.
- 2:40Speaker 8: And the three shows at MSG and being able to
- 2:42Speaker 8: do that and relive that tour. And then, um, bring
- 2:46Speaker 8: that back to life after all, you know, I don't
- 2:48Speaker 8: even remember exactly guys, how many years is it actually?
- 2:51Speaker 2: It's like, what?
- 2:52Speaker 3: It's a 16 years. It's enough years.
- 2:55Speaker 7: Okay.
- 2:56Speaker 6: 35, 33, 35.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:57Speaker 8: Um, bringing that back since 2008 and actually like reliving
- 3:01Speaker 8: it all. And then of course being able to play
- 3:03Speaker 8: new music at the same time as well. Like, it's
- 3:05Speaker 8: just kind of like, how are we still able to
- 3:08Speaker 8: do this? It's, it's a beautiful thing.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Do you all use electric toothbrushes or do you use manual?
- 3:15Speaker 2: I'd like to know for each of you.
- 3:16Speaker 7: Thank you, I was dying to answer this question.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Yeah, this is really important.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Mike, why don't you start? I'm using a Bruch right now, B-R-U-S-H.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Are you familiar?
- 3:23Speaker 3: Tanya knows all about the Bruch. I know, I love
- 3:26Speaker 3: the Bruch.
- 3:27Speaker 2: We know about the Bruch. Yeah, we love the Bruch.
- 3:28Speaker 3: I like a multi-setting toothbrush. Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 9: Nick's got like a whole closet of, he's got a
- 3:37Speaker 9: pharmacy in his drawers. at the guest room i'm just
- 3:41Speaker 9: running through all the free ones the ones from like
- 3:43Speaker 9: hotels you bring back i'm sorry but nick and joe
- 3:46Speaker 9: sharing a headset is literally sending me.
- 3:49Speaker 3: No we're not i actually i i tried to get him.
- 3:51Speaker 10: To borrow the other ear but he refused actually if
- 3:55Speaker 10: you watch the video it looks like they're flying together
- 3:57Speaker 10: as a couple on the airplane watching the same movie
- 4:00Speaker 10: but only packed one set of headphones yeah kevin.
- 4:03Speaker 1: What do you got what for the dental hygiene You know, Danny.
- 4:07Speaker 8: Got us on these new water picks that are really
- 4:09Speaker 8: pretty great. I like a water pick. But I like
- 4:12Speaker 8: the Oral-B. Well, sure, but the water pick does all
- 4:17Speaker 8: the work for you.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It does. He's right. I have a battery-powered one. It's
- 4:19Speaker 2: like a cannon. That thing sprays my mirror.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, like it just clears it all out.
- 4:23Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I feel like I lose a tooth.
- 4:27Speaker 2: No, it's great.
- 4:27Speaker 1: You would not believe the herbs that pop out when
- 4:30Speaker 1: you use this thing.
- 4:31Speaker 2: There's herbs?
- 4:31Speaker 3: People need to know. The stuff's stuck in his teeth.
- 4:37Speaker 2: But electric or manual on the toothbrush?
- 4:41Speaker 3: Oh, we go electric. Yeah, we're an Oral-B family. Ryan,
- 4:46Speaker 3: what about you? This is what the people need to know.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I have both. I have both. I have the electric.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I have the water pick, which is a charger dealio.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I mean, it's like a can in that thing. And
- 4:56Speaker 1: I travel with it. It's big to travel with. And
- 4:59Speaker 1: I have a manual on because sometimes I need the
- 5:01Speaker 1: sensation of feeling something.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Like I did when I was a kid, you know?
- 5:06Speaker 3: Right. It's good to remind yourself like you're alive.
- 5:10Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 5:11Speaker 2: It's good to have these nostalgic moments. All right.
- 5:13Speaker 1: We have some unbelievable new music from the Jonas Brothers
- 5:16Speaker 1: that I got to play this track.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Coming up next.
- 5:18Speaker 2: You're going to love the vibe. It's next on Kiss FM.
- 5:22Speaker 3: You're on air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 5:25Speaker 6: On 102.7.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Kiss FM.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Jonas Brothers with us. Listen when sad is out tonight.
- 5:32Speaker 1: And listen to Hey Jonas wherever you get your podcasts.
- 5:34Speaker 1: It's now available on Hulu, Disney +, and the Jonas
- 5:37Speaker 1: Brothers are here. I'm about to play this track, which
- 5:41Speaker 1: is a new track for you, but it has nostalgic
- 5:45Speaker 1: tones and textures to it, inspired by some of those
- 5:48Speaker 1: early 2000s days.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Yeah, this is so exciting for us. This song is
- 5:53Speaker 2: finally out.
- 5:54Speaker 3: We wanted to tap back into that early sound.
- 5:57Speaker 7: Our kind of breakthrough album in 07, self-titled, went a
- 6:01Speaker 7: little bit longer, and Just that time in our lives
- 6:04Speaker 7: when everything was new and exciting. We were writing about
- 6:07Speaker 7: things that were happening to us in real time. And
- 6:09Speaker 7: so we re-teamed with John Fields, our producer from those records,
- 6:14Speaker 7: to give it that feel, nostalgic feel. But also this
- 6:17Speaker 7: lyric is all about those endless summers you have when
- 6:20Speaker 7: you're 16 and you feel like you've got the world
- 6:22Speaker 7: at your fingertips and it kind of just goes by
- 6:25Speaker 7: in a flash.
- 6:26Speaker 3: And, you know, it's exciting for us.
- 6:29Speaker 7: To you know, get this out there now and to
- 6:32Speaker 7: also have a lot of announcements coming in the next
- 6:36Speaker 7: few days, but kicking this thing off.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 6:41Speaker 6: Okay.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Do you remember the summer of 69, Nick?
- 6:46Speaker 7: Hmm.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Yes, that was a, by the way, that was a
- 6:50Speaker 3: great event.
- 6:50Speaker 2: You crushed on the host.
- 6:51Speaker 3: In July 4th.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 6:53Speaker 3: It was too hot. It was just too hot.
- 6:56Speaker 2: It was so hot.
- 6:57Speaker 1: It's still, it was so hot that, but that's one
- 7:00Speaker 1: of the great, when I think of like summer rock
- 7:02Speaker 1: and roll and you did a cover of that, that's
- 7:04Speaker 1: the one that stands out as like defining to me.
- 7:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:08Speaker 7: I think, you know, this, this song hopefully will give
- 7:11Speaker 7: everyone the feels, you know, it's, it's, it's that time
- 7:15Speaker 7: in all of our lives when, when you feel like
- 7:17Speaker 7: you can do anything and, and, and, you know, you
- 7:20Speaker 7: look up and all of a sudden you're talking about,
- 7:22Speaker 7: Which toothbrush you're using.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Exactly. Let's roll it. We got to play. Let's go.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Kevin, Nick, Joe with us. Jonas Brothers. Listen to this
- 7:28Speaker 1: new music. 102.7. Kiss FM. Jonas Brothers there.
- 7:36Speaker 6: 102.7.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Kiss FM.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Thanks, guys.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Sweating.
- 7:41Speaker 2: I can picture the venue, Kevin, when you're singing that song.
- 7:44Speaker 2: You're out on the road. And the lights go up
- 7:47Speaker 2: on the audience's face.
- 7:48Speaker 1: And you just watch dudes and girls singing that back,
- 7:52Speaker 1: like wide open mouth, singing that back to you.
- 7:55Speaker 8: Right?
- 7:55Speaker 3: That is what they can do that. Yeah.
- 7:58Speaker 7: Burning up tour all over again, kicking off September 25th
- 8:01Speaker 7: in Boston.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:03Speaker 2: But isn't that, that's a song.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Those dates, Nick.
- 8:06Speaker 2: It creates that moment.
- 8:07Speaker 3: I'm trying to be ambiguous before, but I'm just, I just.
- 8:10Speaker 3: You're too excited.
- 8:10Speaker 2: About it.
- 8:12Speaker 8: Yeah, no, it really does. I think this song is
- 8:14Speaker 8: one of those, it brings this right back. It's definitely,
- 8:16Speaker 8: you hear it the first time we were like working
- 8:18Speaker 8: on it, going back and working with John Fields on
- 8:19Speaker 8: this again, like it feels quintessential Jonas Brothers, you know,
- 8:24Speaker 8: from the early, you know, 2009, 2008 era. But it
- 8:27Speaker 8: also feels now, and it speaks to that time where
- 8:30Speaker 8: we were all burning CDs, maybe Gen Zs and Alpha,
- 8:33Speaker 8: not sure what that is, but you know, they'll figure
- 8:35Speaker 8: it out.
- 8:36Speaker 1: But I'm trying to think of like, if we threw
- 8:37Speaker 1: that on back in early 2000s, in the mix with
- 8:41Speaker 1: the strokes are in the mix with switch foot.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Uh, death. What is it? Death cab? Q dashboard.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Confession.
- 8:50Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I mean, like it would go.
- 8:53Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Paramore. I love it.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 8:55Speaker 3: They, they said it went number one back then too.
- 8:59Speaker 3: So yeah.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Number one, you're reliving the number one. Once again, end
- 9:04Speaker 2: of September in Boston, it kicks off. Yes. Gentlemen, thank
- 9:09Speaker 2: you so much for coming on. We really love it.
- 9:11Speaker 2: You guys are the best. Sounds great.
- 9:12Speaker 3: You guys are always the best.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Always great to see you. Yeah, love you guys. See
- 9:16Speaker 2: you next time. Thanks, guys.
- 9:17Speaker 3: We'll see you soon.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Thanks, Ryan.
- 9:18Speaker 6: Bye.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Bye, guys. Bye-bye.
