- TAYLOR SOLO CRASHOUT VAULT EP4: Welcome, welcome, my deranged divas. I'm Taylor Coker and you're listening to Casually Crashing Out Because sometimes our inner monologues require a microphone. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening to you all. Depending on what time you're listening, of course. Either way, the most important thing is you are still listening, which means more than you will ever know, guys. I recently went through a little bit of a funk regarding this podcast, believe it or not. I can't really tell you why. It's just the way my anxiety works. But I felt very, very overwhelmed all of a sudden. I felt like I had made too much of an obligation to myself that I wasn't sure I could fully commit to. Like I was hyping myself up and everyone else around me up for something that I was so sure about at one point, but you know, self-doubt creeps in. You know how that goes. I wanted this to be something that was fun and an outlet, but Once you get going, you obviously want to engage with listeners and stay relevant and you want to feel like what you're doing is helping people or at the very least entertaining people. But I think I started putting pressure on myself to make this podcast into something. isn't that what I do? We can't just enjoy something. We immediately have to figure out how we're gonna grow it, make it successful, get followers, get engagement. Like I can't just make a podcast because I have shit to say. And then you start looking at other podcasts and you're like, well, they're posting three times a day. They've got forty-seven thousand followers and they're doing merch and they've got sponsors. And suddenly what I was supposed to be doing for fun feels like it's fucking homework. so yeah, I got a little discouraged just overwhelmed a bit with all of it But I had a really good, encouraging talk from some good friends, and not to mention my husband is my number one hype man. He is the real one. So Yeah, I guess I would say I have a really great support system in my corner and they know how to hype a girl up and give her some pep in her step. With all that being said, can we fucking normalize being in a funk though? Like, can we not make ourselves or others feel guilty for needing a break? Can we cut ourselves some slack? Life is hard enough, bitch. And we are all going through our own shit. It's all heavy in its own way and affects us all differently. you ever get to the point where you're like, I'm not sad, I'm not depressed, I'm not even necessarily unhappy, I'm just fucking tired, like exhausted. And then instead of resting. You just start mentally listing everything you should be doing. I should clean the house. I should record. I should answer that text. I should do laundry. I should bitch. Sit down. Because that's literally what I was doing. I would sit down to record and I would immediately start thinking about everything else that I could be doing. Not to mention my dogs. Every time I sit down in general, they want to have a WWF smackdown in the living room. Like with the most loudest, most insane, gnarly sounding growls. There's no fucking way that I can record while that is going on. Believe that. Sometimes you need alone time. Sometimes you need to reflect and recharge. And sometimes you just need to put on a new podcast episode. What can I say? Speaking of recharging, can we just talk about this weather, guys? I am sitting here, all windows open. It is inspiring. And if you say it isn't, you are a sociopath. Okay. I hate it when I walk outside and it's literally the most beautiful, perfect temperature. The sun is out, a slight breeze across your bosom, if you will. Not a cloud in the sky. And you're always gonna have that one person that's like, ugh, I hate this weather. Like, what? What is wrong with you, ma'am? Go somewhere else. Go move to the desert if you like hot so much, okay? I feel like people are either weather people or they don't give a single fuck. Like some people wake up and immediately check the weather. I am absolutely that person. And some people, they don't know that we're having a tornado until they're literally inside of it. So it's just how it goes. this week's Crash It of the Week submission comes from Kelsey from Louisville. I read this submission and it was too relatable, immediately within the first five lines. I was like, Yup, reading this one. We're stopping here. this one's called Hungry, hormonal, and highly offended. Taylor, I need you to tell me if I overreacted, because my husband and I may have officially ruined our marriage over a fucking container of leftovers. And before anyone judges me, I was on my period, like day two, the day where you don't want to be alive. I also had the worst day. I overslept. I spilt my coffee on myself. I got stuck behind someone doing 20 miles an hour under the speed limit on my way to work. My boss pissed me off. I cried in my car on my lunch break. And then when I finally got home, I realized I had forgotten to pick up my prescription. So I was done. But there was one thing getting me through the entire day. My leftovers. Not just any leftovers. Saturday night, my best friend and I went to this little Italian restaurant we love. don't we all have a little Italian restaurant that we love? they have this pasta dish I swear to God, I dream about it. It's creamy, it's garlicky, there's chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, parmesan. It's a beautiful example of God's work I purposely didn't finish it because I was already thinking about eating it Sunday night. I even told my husband before I went to bed, don't eat my pasta. I'm saving it for tomorrow. He said, Okay. I put it in the fridge. I went to sleep. Fast forward to Sunday night. I get home after my horrible, no good, very bad day, changed into sweatpants. Took my bra off, which honestly was the highlight of my day, and I walk into the kitchen thinking about my pasta. I open the fridge. Gone. I immediately knew. I turned around and said, Where is my pasta? My husband goes, I ate it. I just stared at him. He said, What? I said, You ate the pasta that I told you not to eat. I told you I was saving it. And this man, this absolute fucking psychopath of a man, says, Well, you didn't put your name on it. And then he laughs. Taylor, I lost it. I said, do I need to put my name on the eggs too? Do I need to label the milk now? Should I start putting fucking property tags on all of my food so you don't eat it? He started laughing. Harder. Harder. I was about to have a full-blown Mental breakdown, He goes, You're seriously this mad over pasta? No. I am mad because it was the one thing that I had to look forward to all day. I'm just reading it because it's in capital. I'm trying to read it like it's written. Anyways, I ordered myself a $32 DoorDash meal on his card out of spite and then ate half of it while staring directly at him. He has since apologized. He has also bought me two desserts. So I guess we're staying married for now. But I need to know am I the asshole? Okay, so before we even get into whether she's overreacting, men, why do you always eat the fucking leftovers? Why? I mean, isn't there some unwritten marital law when it comes to leftovers? If someone specifically says, I'm saving that, that food is no longer in talks for community property. Okay. Don't touch. Don't even look at it too long. again, that story is too, too relatable. I understand the struggle when it comes to a husband eating your leftovers. I love my husband so much. He does way more good than harm. But one of the harms is he always eats my fucking leftovers. He took me to this really fancy dinner one night. This was recent, by the way. We've been together for 10 years. He took me to this fancy dinner the other night. And we I got the most like I don't ever treat myself when we go out to dinner. I don't really like spending a whole bunch of money on my meal because I know my husband's gonna spend a lot of money on his meal, and I know we're gonna get appetizers and I know we're gonna get drinks. So I always try to like try to save money where I can. But this night he was like, get whatever you want. Don't even look at the price. Just get whatever you want. So I did. I got myself a filet. I got myself risotto. I got myself this macaroni and cheese. And by the way, this is like a five-star restaurant. So this food was incredible. It was incredible. But we had filled up on bread and we had drank quite a bit too. It was date night. and then he got dessert. And I just I it was so good that I wanted to take it home and eat it later or the next day. I ended up getting very sick that night. One too many dessert martinis, if you will. And I threw up everywhere, all on the side of the highway, in the trash came next to my bed all night long. I felt terrible the next day. It was it was not a good morning. But And we all know this, we can all relate. After I had slept it off, I woke up extremely hungry because I had puked everything out of my stomach. So all I wanted was like a Gatorade and just food. And I go into the fridge and I'm I just get I'm like, my God, I got my macaroni and cheese in there, my risotto, my filet all in there wrapped up. So I get up and I go to get them and I'm like, Did did you get the leftovers? Did you get the leftovers out of the car? And my husband just, you could tell those words just went through him like daggers. He was like, What what? what? he's like, no, no, I think, I think I might have left him there. I'm like, no, we didn't leave him there. We brought him. I remember putting them in the car. I mean, and finally, finally it came out that he had eaten my leftovers. I think I found the leftovers in the trash, actually. And I was like, you don't know where they went? You left them? And then he was like, I'm so sorry. I didn't I knew you were gonna be so mad. I'm like, Why did you eat them? Guys, he literally ate them that night when as I was puking, he ate them. He's like, Well, I didn't think you were gonna want them. I was like, I obviously wasn't gonna want them while I was puking. Obviously. But maybe the next day, I don't know. It was a $78 meal. You could have left me a freaking crumb. God. No wonder he was like, get whatever you want. He knew whatever I didn't eat, he was gonna take home and eat. Yeah, so I know that it's all too relatable. And I just really thought that the world needed to hear it. So thank you, Kelsey. Love it. And keep listening. I'm so thankful for your for your submission. It's crazy because the weather change and the season change is very nostalgic to me. But the weather never changed in Florida. So a lot of people don't really understand that. but the thing is, I used to watch a lot of movies as a kid. I was very like in my head as a kid. I had a big imagination. so I I would watch movies and I would completely engage myself in these movies where the seasons would change or on the holidays. I was very invested in this world of imaginative, I don't know, I was just a happy kid. But so seeing it in real life now is is nostalgic to me. And that's the best way I could put it. We're all for seasons around here. I remember waking up on Christmas so many mornings and it was just so humid outside. Or it was like raining and dreary and depressing. I moved to Kentucky. The second year I was here, I saw a white Christmas. Can you imagine my little Florida girl heart? that's a funny story, actually. I remember I was completely alone that Christmas too. I had just moved here, so all my family was back in Florida. And Jason had to work that morning, so I was all alone on Christmas morning. Doesn't that sound so terrible? You'd think I would have been sad, but y'all, it was fucking snowing. And not just any snow, it was the most perfect, beautiful, soft snow. I felt like I was in Narnia. I watched Home Alone with my cat, like all the Home Alones all day long, and I was the happiest camper. I remember that Christmas because it was my first white Christmas. It's the weird things you carry with you forever. Speaking of, Jason and I are going to the DR the week before Christmas this year. So that will be interesting. Apparently, my husband has friends in the DR from the last resort we stayed at while we were down there. Because my husband makes friends wherever he goes. He has never met a stranger in his life. But yeah, his friend's name is Johan. And I doubt Johan will ever hear this podcast, but on the off chance, he does. Shout out, Johan. He was great. He wanted to take Jason off the resort to like the clubs down there. And of course, my husband was all for it. I'm over here like absolutely not. i had just done like four shots of tequila, like planning our night out on the town with locals. And I'm like, Jason, go go sit down, honey. Go go take a nap. Not that I wouldn't want to explore different areas, but you know, maybe not after 10 PM, with zero idea where we're going or who we're going with. My husband is a very trusting guy. He's very trusting of others, I don't know. What would you do? I guess it depends on what type of vacation person you are, right? I mean, I think we all have our little quirks while we're on vacation, like who we are as vacation people. My husband is just the big, tattooed, happy, teddy bear. Everyone loves him. He's just ordering everyone's shots, getting the party started. He's like the most social guy. And then there's me. I am pretty fun, but I'm on vacation to relax. So yes, from the hours of, dare I say 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., I am game for whatever. But I can't promise you. After partying all day after 5 p.m., I'm gonna be of any use. Like, I go to bed early on vacation. My husband is talking about making dinner reservations. I'm like, I don't know if I'm gonna make it to dinner. I don't know. I think we all should just play it by ear. Room service. I'm pretty sure me and Jason. Have ordered room service almost every night we've ever stayed in an all-inclusive. Even if we go to dinner that night, we still come back to the room and get room service just because it's free. But yeah, I'm gonna be singing jingle bells in the Caribbean with a pina calada in hand. I cannot wait. Lord knows we need this vacation. And I'm sure it will be even more needed after the stress that is the holidays. I love them. I do, I do. But I would be lying if I said they didn't also make me want to vomit when I think about them at the same time. Is that just me? Just me. just the amount of traveling and money it all takes, especially us where we live, we have zero family near us. So it's either we seclude ourselves and act like Christmas isn't here, like Ebenezer Scrooge, or the alternative. We spend a bunch of time, money, and effort on doing it up. And we all know me, right? By now I hope you would. Skipping Christmas ain't an option over here, babes. You tell yourself it's all worth it in the end, right? We do it for the memories. if I haven't expressed it enough, I was a weird little child growing up. Had a bunch of strange little quirks, if you will. So for this week's Why Am I Like This segment, I thought it would be fun to take you guys back to my way younger years and tell you guys some fun little tidbits. Why am I like this tidbits for y'all to chuckle at at my expense? Because why not? fun fact number one. My little sisters and I used to l have hamsters against my mom's better judgment. I don't even know how that was a thing. I think our dog had run away and We had gone to look at this local shelter because they said they had found a stray. And we went in so excited, thinking we were gonna find her. And to our dismay, it was not her. So we were all very, very sad. And my mom took us to a pet store for some reason. I don't know what she was thinking. Taking three sad kids to a pet store. But yeah, she took us to a pet store and we all left with hamsters. My dad was not happy. and we used to have hamster fight matches in our playroom. Like underground hamster fight matches, and we would bet on who would win. They never hurt each other, I don't think. at least I don't think so. We would let them walk towards each other and they would just roll up in a ball really quick and roll around and then they would just like spring off of each other. my god, is this terrible? Am I going to help? But yeah, we'd invite our friends over, all secretive through the back door and take bets for the underground hamster fights. And my mom would bring us snacks. Like, what are y'all kiddos getting into back here? She truly had no idea. Moving on. Fun fact number two, I one time tried out for my talent show. It was either fourth or fifth grade, so not my finer years, looks-wise. I was a fro haired chunk. But as always, some sort of false sense of confidence always shines through, baby. And I tried out for my talent show to a Michael Jackson song. And I went in there wearing my black dress pants and my button-up white dress shirt that I wore for chorus. And just completely winged it, just full on. Like I must have quote unquote moonwalked 20 times in that dance. And then I tried to do the tiptoe thing too, the thing Michael Jackson does, if you guys know what I'm talking about. But let me be clear, I could not do any of these dance moves. But in my head, I was like, my God, this is gonna look so cool. People are gonna be like, is that Michael Jackson? why? Why did my mom let me freaking do that? Mom, why didnt you say I refuse to let my daughter embarrass herself like this? Just nope. Just have a good day, sweetie. You're doing amazing, sweetie. That poor music teacher, she was just like, let's give it up for Taylor. Just riding so hard for me. Yeah. but yeah, I didn't make it. I didn't make the talent show that year. Go figure. Fun fact number three. I was weirdly, obsessed with the Titanic as a child. Like wildly, weirdly obsessed. I would watch it and it would put me in a three day depressive episode as an eleven year old. It's that's pretty intense, you know? Like those feelings of despair for those people that died are so real and raw. The movie still gets me worked up. The story still gets me worked up because it's such a tragedy. But as a child and experiencing it and seeing it with your own eyes, I mean, plus Leo DiCaprio on top of it. I mean, come on. My little teeny bopper heart could not take it. I was like, damn it, Rose! Why couldn't you just move your fat ass over and make room? Yeah. Well, I think I've embarrassed myself enough for the day. Plus I gotta save some for the other episodes, so Mental health check on a scale of one to 10 and go. I think I would put mine at a seven today. My dogs are driving me nuts lately. If I have to clean my floor one more time, I'm not getting that's the one thing that I would tell anyone thinking of getting a golden retriever. Invest in a good mop vac cleaner. it will be your saving grace. They love to wrestle and they love mud. So we actually had a mobile groomer come out to the house the other day. I will spare you guys the details of what we paid because it's honestly embarrassing at this point. They have rolled around in the mud probably a hundred times since said bath. So I'm really glad we did that. Love that for us. also my dog is an asshole who hates blow dryers. So she was like lunging. At the groomer, I guess. I had to tip her extra because that's the way my anxiety works. I'm like, if I don't tip her crazy amount, she will never come back. She will never come back. And she'll tell everyone there that our dogs are assholes. My husband's like, you tipped her what? I'm an overtipper regardless. My husband just hands me the receipt now because he's afraid. I'll yell at him for being stingy in front of everybody. Just one of the undiscussed traits of being a bartender. You have no choice but to treat your fellow service industry folks like royalty. Because y'all have an unspoken understanding that if you don't, you're a piece of shit. Okay. I don't make the rules. I just follow them. I'm a people pleaser. What can I say? I love my fellow bartenders and surfers. Y'all the real ones. No one knows what we go through unless you've gone through it. One night of the trenches, baby, and your whole view on humanity is tainted forever. I I do love what I do, and I love my job. I got very lucky. I work with the most amazing group of people who have all. been around since the beginning and we've all just kind of become like our own little family. And I think that's really special to us because I think it's rare that you find that. speaking of work, I have this idea and it's something I've thought about since I started the podcast, but I want to do a mini segment called bartender crash outs. I have portable mics and I want to bring them to work on a busy Friday or Saturday night and put them in the side closet. And whenever someone pisses us off, which isn't that hard by the way, on a busy night, it could it could really be anything. we would just go in the back and let it out on the microphone. I think it's genius. I don't know who wouldn't want to hear my girlfriends and I crash out over a crazy Karen and her frozen margarita that isn't strong enough. That's the thing, guys. There's so many elements of crash outs that make up my day. I'm still trying to figure out how to incorporate all of it into the podcast as best as I can to give you guys a real solid look into the shit show that is my life. So yeah, that is an ongoing project, and please stay tuned for that. Time for your favorite controversial crash out segment. Don't come for me. Okay, so I want to start this off by saying I am a firm believer in donating to those who truly need it. if I have the means to help, of course I will help. I also believe that you should never feel ashamed asking for help either if you truly need it. However, with that being said, I was scrolling on Facebook the other day, and I keep coming across the same person who goes online and literally makes a GoFundMe every other week. I'm not joking, guys. One time they said they were laid off, one time they said they were in the hospital, one time they said they were. just not working enough hours that week and needed help with bills. Like, yeah, same, sis. Same. They'll also post their Cash App and their Venmo like regularly, asking for money for literally every occasion. Their birthday, their spouse's birthday, their engagement, their anniversary. Like, dude, Why are you on the internet asking strangers for money? And why do you feel so comfortable asking us for money for every single little thing? Like it's one thing to genuinely need help. But when I see you going out to dinner and taking trips and buying new toys, and then you want to post online that you're low on cash for bills? And that part I guess is controversial. Because I think there's a huge difference between saying, hey, I'm struggling and I genuinely need help and making your financial problems everyone else's responsibility. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm wrong. that's why it's called Don't Come For Me. You know, what do I know? Sorry, baby. I have never asked anyone online for money. And I never will. My husband and I have way too much pride. It's probably to a fault. We will become homeless before we go online and set up a GoFundMe asking for bill money. That's how I feel. I'm sorry if it's controversial, but hey, free will. Turn this shit off if it bothers you. I don't know why it would, unless you're the ones doing it, but anywho. So lately I've actually been getting some listener feedback. And one of the things I was asked to do more of was the marriage crash outs. Y'all seem to really like the episode with my husband and I. So I figured, why not bring him back to make a cameo? After all, he is my number one hype man. Wouldn't be here without him. No, literally, I wouldn't be doing this without him. He literally paid for all my equipment. And he hooks up All of it for me. I was literally asking him right before we recorded to hook up his mic because I have no idea how to do it. So he has a lot of faith in his wife, though, that's for sure. Honey, I love you so much. I love you too. How are you doing today? Mental health check. I would say I'm a solid eight. Eight is great. That's good. Eight great. Yeah. How did you start your day? How did it go? Woke up this morning, said a prayer. As I've been doing every morning and night. Today was a really beautiful day. I told them about our DR trip earlier. Are you excited about it? I'm very excited about it. I told them about Johan. Well, you gotta be careful because Johan, he's kind of a secret weapon. I didn't mention Versace though. And I didn't mention how she gave you a poolside fresh aloe face rub. Yes she did. And on your fresh sunburn. Because I was the reddest white boy out there. I don't know. I think it's just 'cause you got it like that. No, I think it is because She's like, maybe this man will tip me. Of course, I played it off like I got it like that, but we all knew why she is doing it. They felt bad for you. She was a little party girl. right before this recording sesh, my husband told me that my dog farted in my face last night while I was sleeping. So that's cool. She did. But you also texted me while I was at work to tell me that Rivers stuck her head between your legs while you were peeing and you peeed on her nose on accident. my god, that was so weird. I just seen this little nose pop up. The fun of having two golden retrievers. They really are our children. Our children who fart in our faces and stick their head between our legs while we pee. And then I was like trying to pee and also grab a towel and get it around her nose as fast as possible because I knew I just peed on her nose. You scarred our child for life. The other day you were walking around naked and I was looking at them and I just w I watched their heads like follow you and I was like, You are Those those are your daughters. Like how dare you? No, no, first of all Don't you feel like a don't act like I do that all the time, but most likely I needed a towel that was on the other side of the house and it just happened. But trust me. Are you trying to convince me or the audience that you don't walk around the house without pants on all the time? So we both know the answer to that. Yeah, but I do I do feel guilt when I when I see the the dog. Yeah. They just look at you so weird. yeah. It's like don't look at me. Yeah. Look the other way. Yeah. always looking at you, they're always watching. They're so nosy. it's been a rough ride with two of but I I love them so much. Are you trying to convince yourself or the audience? I love them so much. I love that. Well. I would die for them. So I thought about trying to think of a recent crash out me and you have had as a married couple because I thought that would be funny, but I feel like we don't really have them anymore. We used to, but we don't really anymore. Well, I feel like we have crash outs, but I feel like Because we're silly. We don't need to be arguing over half the stuff that we argue about. It could be that. Or, you know, it could be just I'm listening to what my dad said and she is always right. That's what he said. Even if she's not. So I just kinda go with that, you know. I don't know. I feel like I sound like a kind of a wuss. I feel like that's really what love is. Realizing that arguing with your life partner ain't worth the headache. Like you're stuck with this person, so why make yourself miserable? You know? What do you think true love is, honey? I don't know Keynette Gallery of True love really uses the word stuck. I mean, I don't know. Maybe that's the first thing we're that's the first thing there. Yeah. I don't think anybody is truly and I was really stuck together, but I don't know, maybe I don't know. I don't know. I'm old school. I mean, I promised my I promised myself in front of God to you, so I'm stuck here. There's I can't we're here. I'm riding it out, maybe. Stuck is such a a harsh word. Yeah, but I feel like if you don't say st if you don't make it like that, people just try to get out of it so quickly. Like the first sign of trouble and they're like, we're like, we're out, we'll just get a divorce. Like, no, bitch. Like, no, you are stuck. Like, you stuck. Sorry. Sorry. It ain't they don't look at it like that anymore though. Why get married if you're gonna get out of it? Me, I'm permanently placed. Yes. Not stuck. He's like, I would never say I stuck. I would never say stuck. I'm permanently placed with this too close. Goddess of a woman. She's a goddess. what do you think about Gypsy Rose's baby daddy dying? What are your thoughts on that? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Which one was the baby daddy? The one he left the the the guy that no, All right. So No, you can say that. Me and Jason have been having talks about the overly sized gentleman got stuck. Okay. It was the yeah, the overweight guy. I made him watch this series with me. He's one that passed. No. He is still alive. the guy she was the guy she left him for, who she said was her soulmate. And then they ended up not being together and all of a sudden he dies. How'd die? She's saying it was an overdose. Apples don't fall far from trees. I mean, I'm just saying. How long was he sick? Listen, I don't know anything about anything. All I know is what I've seen on social media but what I do know is everyone wants to say it's her. Yeah. And I can't confirm nor deny, but like she did murder someone before, you know? So it's not like totally out of the realm of possibility that she would do it again. That's my take, but what do I know? I don't ever want to just jump on the train of accusing somebody of something. But again, I mean she's killed someone before. So it's just I don't want to say it's out of the realm of possibility. I mean, That's about what I got on it. Yeah. I figured you're like, I don't really give a shit. I think we're gonna wrap up this mini segment with the true secret to making a healthy marriage last. I have learned in the last couple weeks that that is Vita Mahong. What does that mean? Sex? The game. The domino game. yeah. Listen to me. I'm sorry, guys. I'm obsessed. I don't know if any of y'all have played it. It's like this matching domino game, right? Jason got me into it. He plays it for money. I just play it for fun. I may or may not be on level two hundred and three. Yeah, I I play it for therapy. If I'm ever overstimulated and like trying to unwind, And it it really sets the tone too. And I feel like everybody's doing it. Yeah, it's like it's like semi glutide. I There ain't nothing like a zero gravity mode setting and a murder mystery with some Vita Mahong. Well, first of all, the zero gravity setting is i is for the birds, let me explain zero gravity to you. It's going to take the end of the bed and it's going to lift your ankles all the way up above your head. Okay. And then it's gonna take the head of the bed and it's going to Lift it up about forehead height to your ankles. And you're just gonna be like it looks like a you're kinda like a s like a taco. Like a folded piece of paper. But it takes all the pressure off your back. But then the airlets out to where you just sink, which makes your forehead touch, actually touch the back of your heels. No, you don't. You are so full of crap. That's what it feels like. It's not. Here's the deal It takes all the pressure off of your back. So it's real comfortable when you're watching TV. Yes. Are you doing something? Like taking a nap. my gosh, it's the best nap you'll ever take 'cause you won't move. But yeah, probably at nighttime when you're laying there for eight hours because you literally can't move. And then it's probably not the best idea. And then you do roll over and now you're like when you when you turn over on your stomach, it's like you're it's like you're doing a belly flop. Yeah, it's like you're doing a belly flop. Like a backwards cannonball. But only your sne but you only had a little hole of water to do it in. And the only thing that hit the water was your belly. Your feet and your head just hit the concrete folded up. Yeah. Well that was pretty intense. Yeah. You probably edit that out. We sounded so annoying right there. Like, my god, have you ever slept in zero gravity button on your sleep number bad? Man, I tell you what you go. So basic white bitch. Zero gravity boom. Speaking of basic white bitch, I had my first pumpkin spice latte of the season today. Huh? My first PSL. Say that three times real fast, and I'll listen to the My first PSL of the season today. It's kind of like the way that you open the season, you know, of fall. Your first pumpkin spice latte you have to save for like that's a girl thing. I'm not really into all the pumpkin spice. Yeah. I mean, it would be kinda weird if you were. I would be a little concerned if you were like, Guess what us pumpkin spice latte today. I'm No, I will tell you Christmas though. Peppermint mocha. Salty snowman. girl. Salty Snowman. That sounds like a freaking sex movie. I'll have a salty snowman, please. Iced. Shaken. Thank you. Ew. my lord. do you wanna say anything to the listeners before we sign off? Stay black one. All right, you heard it from Jason Coker. Stay black. One. This week's Pause for Perspective is about being grateful. I love my life lately, y'all. I really do. And I feel like it's okay to say that. I shouldn't feel bad for having a life I fucking love. For building a life that I fucking love. I have an amazing husband, a beautiful home, a great job with great coworkers. My beautiful fur babies. I'm not rich money-wise by any means, but I am filthy, stinking rich when it comes to the rest. I'm so, so blessed. Can't complain, even though I probably still do. But seriously, every day I count my lucky stars for God putting all the right things in my life and saying that. Have y'all thought about what you're grateful for lately? The holidays are coming fast. And it's usually about the time we all start thinking about that stuff, right? Someone once told me, if you ever get sad, just think about the way life your dog probably does. Like if someone asked your dog, hey, how's life? Are you happy with things? Are you grateful for what you have? Are you kidding? My dogs would be like, my God, I thought you'd never ask. Well, let's just say we have the best mom. She's so cute and so gorge. And she's the most perfect chef that curates the most delicious five-star gourmet meals for us two times a day. We also have the biggest yard they're good to chase all the stray kitty cats out of and bark at the loud neighbors next door. We have the most comfy couch that me and my sister play on, but mom for some reason is always scrubbing it and yelling, get off. Our dad is so fun, he plays fetch with us all the time, and he's got the best belly to snuggle on. Did like my dog voice, by the way? Is that a good impression? all for the sake of of the segment. But seriously, like why can't we all just learn how to look at things and be grateful instead of dwelling on things that in the grand scheme of life really don't fucking matter? I guess what I'm saying is I just hope for anyone that's finding it hard to feel fulfillment and gratitude in this time, especially around the holidays, do me a favor. Look around. The very air you're breathing is a reason to be grateful. The chair you're sitting in is a reason to be grateful. The person sitting across from you that is still here with you today is a reason to be grateful. And you know, maybe that's what gratitude actually is. Not pretending everything is perfect. It's being able to look around at your life and say, Yeah, some shit sucks. Obviously, but look at all the shit that doesn't. And on that note, I think it's time to wrap up the episode Spiral Squad. But before I go, I have to leave you with this because apparently my husband has decided that he can do a better job than me at this podcast.
