- 0:00Speaker 1: I'm going to regret this.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Welcome to the Node party.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Hi.
- 0:06Speaker 3: This is Nick and Astasu, story editor on Star Wars,
- 0:10Speaker 3: the Clone Wars and Star Wars bad Batch. And you
- 0:14Speaker 3: are listening to aggressive negotiations.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Thank you, Nick.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Yes, it's aggressive negotiations. The Star Wars podcast that dares
- 0:33Speaker 4: to delve deeper than any other in the known galaxy,
- 0:36Speaker 4: or any other galaxy for that matter. I am one
- 0:39Speaker 4: of your hosts, John Mills, and I am just absolutely humbled, pleased,
- 0:46Speaker 4: and absolutely grateful for the co host with the most
- 0:51Speaker 4: Jedi master, Matthew Rushing. Matt, are you ready to delve
- 0:55Speaker 4: deep into the dark sectors of the Star Wars galaxy?
- 1:00Speaker 1: See?
- 1:01Speaker 2: You know, John, I'm actually thinking maybe today we dive
- 1:06Speaker 2: into another galaxy. I mean, you know, we spend so
- 1:10Speaker 2: much time in this one. Maybe maybe we should visit
- 1:13Speaker 2: another galaxy far far away.
- 1:15Speaker 4: What an intriguing thought, Matt. That's you know what. In fact,
- 1:20Speaker 4: I think that's the seat of a question there that
- 1:22Speaker 4: you have for me. So I'm guessing you're talking about
- 1:26Speaker 4: the other galaxy we know of, the one that we
- 1:30Speaker 4: see in Ahsoka.
- 1:32Speaker 1: So what are we going for here? What's your question? Yeah?
- 1:35Speaker 2: So this is something that I've been kind of thinking
- 1:38Speaker 2: about more and more, especially as you know, I know
- 1:41Speaker 2: that we're hopefully getting season two of Ahsoka next year,
- 1:44Speaker 2: and you know, we've got Mandalorian and Crogu that's going
- 1:48Speaker 2: to be coming out next year.
- 1:49Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:50Speaker 2: So this, this part of the universe seems to be
- 1:53Speaker 2: alive and well. And some of the things about the
- 1:58Speaker 2: other universe have been sticking with me in the sense
- 2:01Speaker 2: that we know that the Pergol travel back and forth,
- 2:06Speaker 2: we know that the dath Mary witches to seem to
- 2:09Speaker 2: originate on this planet, and we know that there is
- 2:14Speaker 2: a massive Argonauth like statue to the Father from the
- 2:21Speaker 2: Mortis trilogy, right, And so it makes me wonder, you know,
- 2:27Speaker 2: we've we've read about, you know, some of George Lucas's
- 2:30Speaker 2: ideas of kind of wanting to delve deeper into the
- 2:34Speaker 2: just the mythology of the force itself, mediquarians, all these
- 2:38Speaker 2: type of things, and and so I'm wondering, are we
- 2:42Speaker 2: going to be pulling the idea that some of the
- 2:47Speaker 2: things that we've already seen have actually been glimpses possibly
- 2:51Speaker 2: of pieces are parts of that universe. So Mortis, we
- 2:56Speaker 2: don't really know where it's from or whether or not
- 2:59Speaker 2: it or you know, is it like the wormhole in
- 3:03Speaker 2: Deep Space nine where it's like it pops you into
- 3:05Speaker 2: that universe and then it can pop you back out,
- 3:10Speaker 2: you know it does the place at this I guess
- 3:13Speaker 2: the center of our galaxy that Yoda travels to, does
- 3:17Speaker 2: that also transport us to another universe or does that
- 3:21Speaker 2: have some connection? So it's like, I wonder if we're
- 3:24Speaker 2: going to start to be you know, bringing some of
- 3:26Speaker 2: these threads together.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Okay, first and foremost, I want to point out Yoda
- 3:32Speaker 4: doesn't go to the center of the galaxy because a
- 3:35Speaker 4: rock monster pretending to be God would be there. All
- 3:39Speaker 4: apologies to Captain Kirk. Oh, and what does cited with
- 3:41Speaker 4: the starship exactly right? Exactly right, And that's why Yoda
- 3:45Speaker 4: was able to jump out of his starship when he
- 3:47Speaker 4: got to that origin point.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Exactly That's why he left the starship outside of that
- 3:51Speaker 2: because he just knew, you know, this is not the
- 3:54Speaker 2: place or the time exactly right.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Yeah, he did not, you know what, and since there
- 3:59Speaker 4: was a long time ago, Captain Kirk really should have
- 4:01Speaker 4: learned a lesson from him.
- 4:02Speaker 1: But you know what would should have.
- 4:06Speaker 4: I mean it, but it it gives me hope that
- 4:09Speaker 4: Sybock going in and fighting the blue energy beam means
- 4:13Speaker 4: that somehow he traveled over to the Star Wars galaxy,
- 4:16Speaker 4: which would make me the happiest boy in the world.
- 4:19Speaker 4: But you know that's head cannon that I can write
- 4:21Speaker 4: for myself for all time and you can't stop me.
- 4:24Speaker 4: But in terms of that origin point in the galaxy
- 4:28Speaker 4: that Yoda goes to, what you're proposing is basically that
- 4:33Speaker 4: between the two galaxies, that it wasn't necessarily the Pergol
- 4:39Speaker 4: travel but the world between worlds that may have opened
- 4:44Speaker 4: this gateway between galaxies, and that's the entry point between
- 4:49Speaker 4: the two, or that somebody traveled with Pergol and then
- 4:56Speaker 4: wound up over here and then opened the world between
- 4:59Speaker 4: worlds to get back over you're proposing either that the
- 5:04Speaker 4: Mortise gods and the witches started over in that other
- 5:08Speaker 4: galaxy that's new to us, came over here and then
- 5:11Speaker 4: found their way back, or that they opened the doorway
- 5:14Speaker 4: from here and then figured out that the Pergol were
- 5:17Speaker 4: another way, or something like that, like which one.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Are you proposing?
- 5:20Speaker 2: I'm I'm wondering. So this is the thing I'm wondering
- 5:24Speaker 2: if the especially just the let's we could tackle maybe
- 5:29Speaker 2: at one time, but like the Mortise gods specifically, right,
- 5:32Speaker 2: you know, the place in which we see them seems
- 5:35Speaker 2: to be kind of outside of space and time as
- 5:38Speaker 2: we knew it.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Right, Yes, that's for sure.
- 5:41Speaker 2: And so it did make me wonder was that planet
- 5:47Speaker 2: possibly a planet that was in that other universe?
- 5:53Speaker 1: Right?
- 5:53Speaker 2: And that maybe that the reason to which we see
- 5:57Speaker 2: the planet in a soca that we land on and
- 6:00Speaker 2: this universe kind of almost feel, you know, not as
- 6:04Speaker 2: alive and vibrant as the universe we come from, is
- 6:08Speaker 2: because there has been a disruption in the family. And
- 6:12Speaker 2: hmm and so and again this was just me thinking
- 6:16Speaker 2: through like all of these different ways in which some
- 6:20Speaker 2: of the weird out of the way things that we
- 6:23Speaker 2: just saw in the Clone Wars, if they will come
- 6:27Speaker 2: to play in more to what we saw in the
- 6:34Speaker 2: what we see too coming in in Ahsoka, because of course,
- 6:37Speaker 2: like you said, you know, we've already seen as well
- 6:39Speaker 2: the world we tuned worlds, and that also makes sense
- 6:42Speaker 2: is a way in which you could possibly even switch galaxies,
- 6:49Speaker 2: because who knows what you could do in that space.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I'm wondering.
- 6:53Speaker 4: See the thing is now I'm starting to go down
- 6:56Speaker 4: a road of is it possible that we're dealing with
- 7:01Speaker 4: a mythology that I mean, obviously there's a lot of
- 7:03Speaker 4: Tolkien inspiration.
- 7:04Speaker 1: All over the place here like that. There's no secret
- 7:07Speaker 1: about that. And of course C. S.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Lewis too with the Magician's nephew, and there was legitimately
- 7:13Speaker 2: a wood between the worlds.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Yes, And.
- 7:18Speaker 4: So where I'm going in my brain is is it
- 7:22Speaker 4: possible that the Mortis the Mortise gods simply existed, and
- 7:30Speaker 4: you know, the laws of physics as we understood them
- 7:32Speaker 4: were different because they're pure force all of that, But
- 7:35Speaker 4: they are the literal embodiment. They are a holy Trinity,
- 7:39Speaker 4: literal embodiment. Is it possible that what the witches of
- 7:46Speaker 4: Dathimir are are people that the Sun the Trickster managed
- 7:52Speaker 4: to contact in some way or manage to they managed
- 7:56Speaker 4: to break through and contact him, and him being him.
- 8:00Speaker 4: He encouraged that that would therefore make the Jedi a
- 8:07Speaker 4: response to the witches to bring balance around to everything,
- 8:12Speaker 4: which I think could be interesting. I mean, it would
- 8:14Speaker 4: upend everything that we understand from the expanded universe again,
- 8:19Speaker 4: which is not a bad thing necessarily, because we're dealing
- 8:23Speaker 4: with entities that are beyond time, So whatever, man, But
- 8:29Speaker 4: what would have been the impetus for travel between the
- 8:33Speaker 4: galaxies to happen? Was it simply observation of the pergole
- 8:37Speaker 4: and going with them at first? Or were the doorways
- 8:40Speaker 4: opened and the pergole simply exists as evidence that the
- 8:46Speaker 4: natural world got there before we did, you know, like
- 8:49Speaker 4: every new way we invent to do something, the natural
- 8:52Speaker 4: world was there in the earlier age, before before us.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Again a very Tolkien idea.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, because I love the idea of that
- 9:02Speaker 2: it having to do something with the pergle, That the
- 9:05Speaker 2: pergl are actually the inspiration obviously for hyperspace, and that
- 9:11Speaker 2: the laws of hyperspace travel are based off of, you know,
- 9:16Speaker 2: study of the pergol themselves right in the way in
- 9:19Speaker 2: which they they generate this energy and so, and that
- 9:25Speaker 2: you know, societies studied them and then were able to
- 9:29Speaker 2: craft a technology to which allowed them to travel between
- 9:33Speaker 2: these distances. Now, you know, the most interesting thing when
- 9:36Speaker 2: you think about, like Ahsoka, right, the energy and the
- 9:41Speaker 2: size of the engines needed to transport one self without
- 9:47Speaker 2: a pergl to another galaxy was just astronomical, right, we
- 9:52Speaker 2: saw that, And so it makes me wonder if was
- 9:57Speaker 2: there a point in time, you know, way far away
- 10:02Speaker 2: in the galaxy, far far away, that you actually had
- 10:09Speaker 2: more travel between these universes And because the thing that
- 10:13Speaker 2: maybe start thinking about all this stuff right was was
- 10:16Speaker 2: was really just the fact that you know, we jumped
- 10:20Speaker 2: to that planet in Ahsoka, and you know, that world
- 10:24Speaker 2: seemed so not alive compared to all the other worlds
- 10:31Speaker 2: that we've you know, witnessed in the Star Wars universe, right,
- 10:37Speaker 2: you know, I mean, even Tatsowen seems to have more
- 10:40Speaker 2: life on it than this planet does. And maybe that's
- 10:44Speaker 2: just a byproduct of us not getting to spend a
- 10:46Speaker 2: lot of time on there, but it just didn't seem
- 10:51Speaker 2: all that alive. And so maybe start asking these questions,
- 10:54Speaker 2: is maybe did something happen in the universe that was
- 11:00Speaker 2: possibly connected with something like what happened with Mortis and
- 11:04Speaker 2: all that to explain that? And is that possibly even
- 11:10Speaker 2: the reason why you know, Baron Skull is traveling to
- 11:14Speaker 2: that universe to try and rectify what happened in you know,
- 11:22Speaker 2: the Mortis trilogy with Anakin abdegating his role to fix something.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Well, I definitely think we're moving along the line. Who
- 11:32Speaker 4: knows if it will resolve this way of Anakin taking
- 11:36Speaker 4: over as the father and then Ahsoka taking over as
- 11:41Speaker 4: the daughter, and then Balin's skull slotting in as the son.
- 11:46Speaker 1: That would make sense to me.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Excellent thought, I think.
- 11:50Speaker 4: And I think that your idea of things going back
- 11:55Speaker 4: balance being discovered regardless of what anybody's motive is. It
- 12:00Speaker 4: seems like that's another hallmark of the Lucas style storytelling
- 12:06Speaker 4: that Yoda seems to accept, even during the Clone Wars,
- 12:10Speaker 4: where he's like, you know, honestly, even if we lose
- 12:13Speaker 4: this one, things will balance back out. You got to
- 12:17Speaker 4: take a longer view of history than anything else.
- 12:21Speaker 3: But what.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Puzzles me, because I want to go back to something
- 12:26Speaker 4: you were talking about. We see the size of the engines,
- 12:28Speaker 4: the technology necessary to be created to do what the
- 12:31Speaker 4: pergol do naturally.
- 12:35Speaker 1: What is it.
- 12:38Speaker 4: That prevents Bailn's skull and or Morgan Elsbeth from opening
- 12:48Speaker 4: doorways that they know exist? Is there some sort of
- 12:53Speaker 4: subtext about the fact that they know and idolize the past,
- 12:59Speaker 4: but they've lost the ability to access it. Do you
- 13:02Speaker 4: think there's some sort of subtext with that going on.
- 13:07Speaker 2: So, yeah, I mean, I think that's a great question,
- 13:10Speaker 2: you know, whether the idea of like being able to
- 13:13Speaker 2: open the doorway or maybe you know, have something like
- 13:17Speaker 2: possible world between worlds to travel to this this other universe. Yeah,
- 13:22Speaker 2: I mean, I think the world between Worlds feels like
- 13:25Speaker 2: a place that very few people actually know about. It
- 13:30Speaker 2: seems to be a pretty heavily guarded secret in the
- 13:32Speaker 2: universe itself, you know. And to me, this also feels
- 13:38Speaker 2: like a place to be able to kind of dig
- 13:40Speaker 2: into the relationship between Qui Gon, what he was able
- 13:44Speaker 2: to find out Yoda, what he gets taught, what Obi
- 13:48Speaker 2: Wan gets taught by you know, Qui Gone as well
- 13:52Speaker 2: as well as Yoda. And you know, because we know
- 13:56Speaker 2: that Yoda is able to connect from the World between
- 13:59Speaker 2: world with Ezra in Rebels and so therefore he learned
- 14:06Speaker 2: something from Qui Gon that allows him to be able
- 14:09Speaker 2: to do this, and that there are so few Jedi,
- 14:11Speaker 2: it seems like who had ever had this ability really
- 14:15Speaker 2: to tap into the nether region of the force, right,
- 14:20Speaker 2: And you know, I think Morgan Elsbeth is just somebody
- 14:23Speaker 2: who in some ways is too greedy for her own
- 14:26Speaker 2: good to have learned something like that. Baron Skull though,
- 14:29Speaker 2: seems to be the type of Jedi who has a
- 14:32Speaker 2: bit of that Dooku nature in him, but also seems
- 14:36Speaker 2: to have a bit of the Qui Goni ness right
- 14:39Speaker 2: where he is truly interested in these esoteric things of
- 14:43Speaker 2: the force. And it does make me wonder. So you
- 14:46Speaker 2: bringing up the whole idea of is he going to
- 14:50Speaker 2: you know, replace himself be the sun or yeah, be
- 14:54Speaker 2: the son and Nohsok will be the daughter and even
- 14:57Speaker 2: because she already is the daughter, really right, you know,
- 15:00Speaker 2: Anakin then becomes the father.
- 15:03Speaker 1: You know in it in the end too.
- 15:05Speaker 2: This is another connection then with Lewis, with the Chronicles
- 15:11Speaker 2: of Narnia and the four you know, uh thrones at
- 15:15Speaker 2: care Paravel that need to be filled by daughters of
- 15:20Speaker 2: Even and sons of Adam, and so that there needs
- 15:24Speaker 2: to be this filling of this place in the role
- 15:27Speaker 2: of the galaxy for the galaxy to truly hold together.
- 15:31Speaker 2: And do we explain then why Star Wars continues to
- 15:35Speaker 2: be war all the time because these roles had been
- 15:40Speaker 2: abdegated and in the sense of like when Anakin said
- 15:45Speaker 2: no and then the Father died, it continued this process
- 15:51Speaker 2: much longer than should have ever been needed.
- 15:55Speaker 4: I think that's I think that's an interesting thought.
- 15:58Speaker 2: I mean, I don't feel if that's the case. I'm
- 16:00Speaker 2: really just spitballing at this point.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I think I think it's an interesting thought. I
- 16:04Speaker 4: think more the Star Wars, because we know that there
- 16:09Speaker 4: was the war between the Jedi and the Sith and
- 16:10Speaker 4: the past, and there's the war between the Jedi and
- 16:12Speaker 4: the Sith and the Clone Wars, and there's the war
- 16:14Speaker 4: between the Jedi and the Sith and the and it
- 16:16Speaker 4: goes on and on so consistently. You know, it's everybody
- 16:21Speaker 4: loves to make fun of the line, but it's like poetry.
- 16:26Speaker 4: It rhymes, yes, And I think that there is instead
- 16:31Speaker 4: a desire. I don't know how they can possibly bring
- 16:34Speaker 4: it back together, but we know that part of what
- 16:38Speaker 4: Lucas was talking about with the sequels, based on his
- 16:41Speaker 4: interview with James Cameron, was going to deal with this
- 16:44Speaker 4: idea of determining whether what happened in the physical world
- 16:50Speaker 4: was just an extension of the fight of the metaphysical world.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Yeah, and were we just an.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Extension of that that battle that never dies because we
- 17:02Speaker 4: see in the Mortise Gods that there's a constant state
- 17:07Speaker 4: of conflict, but it's evenly matched conflict, so nobody ever wins,
- 17:13Speaker 4: and the Father's job is to basically make sure nobody does.
- 17:17Speaker 4: So I agree with you that Anakin not assuming the
- 17:23Speaker 4: role of the father does throw things completely out of whack. Yeah,
- 17:30Speaker 4: but is it possible that we could read it as
- 17:35Speaker 4: the thing that causes Luke's downfall in the sequel era?
- 17:42Speaker 4: And would that you know, I'm going to load this
- 17:44Speaker 4: question up, as uncomfortable as it is to deliver, would
- 17:49Speaker 4: it ameliorate any of the I don't want to say
- 17:52Speaker 4: ill will, but the disappointment you have or might have.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I don't want to make any assumptions.
- 17:58Speaker 4: Of where Luke and up by the time of the
- 18:02Speaker 4: sequel trilogy. To understand that everything that was going on
- 18:06Speaker 4: in the mortis realm up to and including what's going
- 18:09Speaker 4: on with ah Soska and Anakin and Balen's skull throws
- 18:13Speaker 4: things so out of balance and disrupts the way it
- 18:17Speaker 4: was quote unquote supposed to go. That that's why Luke
- 18:21Speaker 4: right winds up not successful.
- 18:23Speaker 2: So I think that that would be an incredibly interesting
- 18:26Speaker 2: thing to do. The thing that makes that difficult, though,
- 18:29Speaker 2: is the fact that from what we've seen, we are
- 18:33Speaker 2: years before that stuff goes down in that universe. And therefore,
- 18:39Speaker 2: now the way that you could ameliorate that quite easily
- 18:43Speaker 2: is that the esoteric nature of what could happen in
- 18:48Speaker 2: a force type world could have repercussions than outside of
- 18:52Speaker 2: time and space. That you see what I'm saying that
- 18:56Speaker 2: make that.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Possible to do?
- 18:58Speaker 4: Is it possible to tie things in in such a
- 19:01Speaker 4: way that Palpatine is somehow involved with something having to
- 19:07Speaker 4: do with that's how he extends his life or something.
- 19:09Speaker 4: I don't know the mechanics of it, but I'll get
- 19:12Speaker 4: to the punchline to sign.
- 19:14Speaker 1: To make you laugh. Is Balin's skull going to be snoke?
- 19:21Speaker 2: I don't think Balen skull is gonna be snoke. I
- 19:23Speaker 2: think you have a much better chance of him, like
- 19:25Speaker 2: he's tall, being the sun. And you know, I also
- 19:32Speaker 2: you know the whole idea too, of the nature of
- 19:38Speaker 2: exagal and how you get there, you know, going through
- 19:42Speaker 2: this very strange you know, Nebula and everything. You know,
- 19:47Speaker 2: that's a whole other thing in this that kind of
- 19:49Speaker 2: leads to lots of questions that with this whole other
- 19:53Speaker 2: universe could could be expounded on and made much more interesting.
- 19:57Speaker 1: But I don't I see what you're saying.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I got to go back though to what you I
- 20:03Speaker 2: really think forgive me listeners, but nothing is really ever
- 20:07Speaker 2: going to make the mess of the sequels better. But
- 20:13Speaker 2: story wise, moving forward beyond that, you could find a
- 20:19Speaker 2: way to have the landing pad of Ray and what
- 20:23Speaker 2: happens next be much more interesting. Uh, you see what
- 20:28Speaker 2: I'm saying. Like you, you could actually help exactly to
- 20:32Speaker 2: make that something that fans become more interested in, because
- 20:37Speaker 2: it is able to, in some ways almost like divorce
- 20:41Speaker 2: itself from the mess that you created, while at the
- 20:46Speaker 2: same same time not overwriting it or or making it unnecessary. Right,
- 20:52Speaker 2: You're you're not doing any of that. You're you're still
- 20:55Speaker 2: paying homage to it and everything, and yet it allows
- 20:59Speaker 2: you to forward with more clarity and understanding and focus
- 21:04Speaker 2: than into the future which you know it. This is
- 21:08Speaker 2: one of those places where you know now that Dave
- 21:10Speaker 2: is the chief story officer of Lucasfilm. It makes sense
- 21:17Speaker 2: then as to how you would want these things to happen.
- 21:21Speaker 2: You would want to kind of try and bring as
- 21:23Speaker 2: much as the of the universe together as you possibly can.
- 21:27Speaker 2: You would want to create as much cohesion as possible, right,
- 21:30Speaker 2: so that people want to continue to spend time in
- 21:34Speaker 2: this universe. And so, honestly, you know why they haven't
- 21:39Speaker 2: hired us as story writers. I don't understand John. I mean,
- 21:43Speaker 2: you know, we've been giving him what this is episode
- 21:46Speaker 2: for twelve I mean, just.
- 21:48Speaker 4: To twelve episodes of pure Gold, absolute contre.
- 21:52Speaker 1: For you folks.
- 21:54Speaker 2: And and so the thing about this is, and the
- 21:57Speaker 2: reason I've just been thinking about it in the first
- 22:00Speaker 2: is there really does seem to be so many fascinating
- 22:06Speaker 2: story possibilities here. You know, as our friend from that
- 22:10Speaker 2: other Star franchise loves to say, there are always possibilities.
- 22:15Speaker 2: And if you're pulling from references like you know, Tolkien
- 22:20Speaker 2: or Lewis, you know, you're just rife with ideas here
- 22:25Speaker 2: that could really make this interesting and special, especially as
- 22:32Speaker 2: you kind of lean into the more esoteric nature of
- 22:36Speaker 2: the storytelling and the universe that you've created. And so yeah,
- 22:42Speaker 2: I mean I'm really hopeful that you know, I don't
- 22:47Speaker 2: care if any of those these ideas ever really come
- 22:49Speaker 2: to fruition, but I am excited, you know when we
- 22:52Speaker 2: talk about something like this at the storytelling potential right right,
- 22:56Speaker 2: and it makes me excited about what could come next
- 22:59Speaker 2: in Sie Star Wars. And that's you know that it's
- 23:02Speaker 2: one of the fun things that we as fans have
- 23:04Speaker 2: loved to do. I mean we talk about, you know,
- 23:06Speaker 2: the joy of what we had in the EU and
- 23:09Speaker 2: and all the speculation that fans had in those early
- 23:12Speaker 2: days of the of of message boards and stuff, and
- 23:16Speaker 2: that was really the joyful stuff. And we're kind of
- 23:18Speaker 2: in a season where that's the case again, right, because
- 23:23Speaker 2: we're not getting as much content and therefore it allows
- 23:27Speaker 2: for a more fertile ground for fans to just be
- 23:30Speaker 2: able to enjoy speculating about the story and and diving
- 23:34Speaker 2: deep into the story and and all that kind of stuff.
- 23:36Speaker 2: And it, in some ways I think is beneficial almost
- 23:40Speaker 2: to the franchise to have had this fallow time where
- 23:45Speaker 2: you can hopefully then rekindle the garden with some some
- 23:50Speaker 2: some good fertilizer and then really you know, craft a
- 23:53Speaker 2: story that just explodes for people, uh and and and
- 23:58Speaker 2: makes us excited about this franchise again.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Well, as loaded as it may be to suggest that
- 24:05Speaker 4: they use fertilizer and all of the jokes that could
- 24:08Speaker 4: be written by Weisenheimer's on the internet on hearing that
- 24:12Speaker 4: if somebody wants to suggest some fertilizer to you, Matt,
- 24:16Speaker 4: where can they find you online?
- 24:17Speaker 2: Well, you can find me all over social media under
- 24:20Speaker 2: the name Matt Rushing zero two. Just look me up
- 24:22Speaker 2: on any of the different platforms. If you type in
- 24:25Speaker 2: that name and I'm there, I'm there. If you type
- 24:28Speaker 2: in that name and I'm not there, I'm not there.
- 24:31Speaker 2: So you can also find me here on the network
- 24:34Speaker 2: with a show called Alpost talking about every single chapter
- 24:36Speaker 2: the Harry Potter series, one chapter of a time, which
- 24:39Speaker 2: is timely is that new show will be coming soon.
- 24:43Speaker 2: And then of course you can also find me over
- 24:45Speaker 2: on the TFM network with a bunch of shows. One
- 24:47Speaker 2: is the six h two Club. John's a frequent guest
- 24:49Speaker 2: over there, and we talk about all the franchises we
- 24:52Speaker 2: love outside of Star Trek. And then there's a lot
- 24:54Speaker 2: of great Star Trek talk over there as well. Do
- 24:57Speaker 2: that with my friend Chris Jones and we're talking enterpri
- 25:00Speaker 2: Are Sat Strange New Worlds or you know the Voyager
- 25:05Speaker 2: d Space nine. All of these things per card. Check
- 25:08Speaker 2: it all out there. But John, if people you know,
- 25:11Speaker 2: wanted to speculate about the wacky, crazy universe that is
- 25:14Speaker 2: Star Wars with you, where would they find you.
- 25:16Speaker 4: Well, they wouldn't want to find me, Matt, because my
- 25:18Speaker 4: ideas are just a little bit too weird and wacky
- 25:21Speaker 4: even for my own liking. But if they want to,
- 25:23Speaker 4: they can find me as Kessel Junkie. Like you said,
- 25:26Speaker 4: if I'm on a network, my username is Kessel Junkie,
- 25:29Speaker 4: so look for Kessel Junkie, or you can also find
- 25:32Speaker 4: me here on this network, co hosting a show called
- 25:34Speaker 4: house Lights where we look at the work of film directors.
- 25:37Speaker 4: I know trailblazing to have a podcast about movies, but
- 25:41Speaker 4: you know what, we figured, somebody has to do it,
- 25:43Speaker 4: and we think you'll have a time if you come
- 25:45Speaker 4: on over and listen to us as well. But Matt,
- 25:49Speaker 4: I got to tell you that I think I left
- 25:52Speaker 4: the door open on my portal to the Other Galaxy
- 25:56Speaker 4: back in my room at the Jedi Temple. So I
- 25:58Speaker 4: think it's time that we close these negotiations.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Oh man, the Purgle's in again. Negotiations are closed.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Join the Revolution, Join the Nerd Party.
