- 0:01Speaker 1: The Epstein files. I heard there's no files.
- 0:04Speaker 2: I heard it's a hoax, and then all of a
- 0:07Speaker 2: sudden he's going to release the files.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Well, I thought there was no files. May he wants
- 0:10Speaker 1: an investigation. Now listen, like, what is going on?
- 0:14Speaker 3: Okay, Joe Rogan isn't buying the President's shifting positions on
- 0:18Speaker 3: the Epstein files. We'll have the latest on the new
- 0:22Speaker 3: investigation that could stall the release of those documents. Will
- 0:27Speaker 3: also bring you expert analysis on two major legal cases,
- 0:30Speaker 3: starting with the stunning development in the indictment of James Comy. Meanwhile,
- 0:36Speaker 3: I federal judge says he plans to restart criminal contempt
- 0:40Speaker 3: proceedings against Trump administration.
- 0:43Speaker 1: He wants it to move fast. There's been long enough delay.
- 0:46Speaker 3: And we'll dig into more polls showing the president's approval
- 0:49Speaker 3: rating slipping on key issues.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Bet I'll tell you what you look. I saw something
- 0:54Speaker 1: yesterday Willie generic ballot tast and we've been talking about
- 0:58Speaker 1: how badly thinks have been going for a Republicans over
- 1:00Speaker 1: the past two three, four weeks. I will say, in
- 1:04Speaker 1: all my years in politics, and of course it goes back,
- 1:08Speaker 1: why seventy five years after we came back from the war,
- 1:11Speaker 1: just a couple of kids starting our own calling out fit.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Now trying to get on a gallop. No, and all
- 1:18Speaker 1: the years I've been in politics, I think gallop was
- 1:21Speaker 1: around in nineteen forty seven, I've never seen this big
- 1:25Speaker 1: of a spread. I've never seen one party with this
- 1:29Speaker 1: high of a number. And I think you would probably
- 1:32Speaker 1: have to go back to maybe post Watergate days. This
- 1:37Speaker 1: is staggering.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Fourteen point spread. That's the generic ballot. The question is
- 1:40Speaker 4: if the midterms were held today, there'll be a year
- 1:42Speaker 4: from now, who would you vote for? Fifty five percent
- 1:44Speaker 4: of Americans say Democrats, forty one percent say Republican, a
- 1:48Speaker 4: massive split. Obviously, the alarm bells went off two weeks
- 1:51Speaker 4: ago because of those elections Virginia, New Jersey and places
- 1:55Speaker 4: across the country. And now you're seeing what Americans are
- 1:58Speaker 4: saying is we're not happy with the way things are
- 2:00Speaker 4: going in this country right now.
- 2:02Speaker 1: We want to change.
- 2:02Speaker 4: And we'll get into some of the other poley, including
- 2:04Speaker 4: from Fox News, which shows the present deeply underwater on
- 2:08Speaker 4: the economy, for example, even on immigration, which was his
- 2:11Speaker 4: key issue. Americans don't like what they're seeing right.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Now, not at all. In John, you know you had
- 2:16Speaker 1: great peace in the Atlantic last night saying Trump two
- 2:18Speaker 1: point zero is suddenly looking like Trump one point Oh.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Michael Schmidt and I had been saying for some time.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I'd been saying, you know, when he said, man, they
- 2:27Speaker 1: really seemed to be clicking and hitting their stride on everything.
- 2:31Speaker 1: And there's so I said, wait till one hundred and
- 2:33Speaker 1: first day, because again I go back to contract with America.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Newton knew exactly what he was going to do one
- 2:38Speaker 1: hundred days and we just rolled over Democrats. They just
- 2:41Speaker 1: sat there, were helpless. At one point I remember walking
- 2:44Speaker 1: over to what I think it was Patrick Kennedy, I go,
- 2:46Speaker 1: are you guys gonna at least put up a fight?
- 2:48Speaker 1: And he started laughing, Sai huh. I asked to get
- 2:51Speaker 1: part the same thing, and basically were like, you know what,
- 2:56Speaker 1: you guys go. But it ended up being like Napoleon's
- 2:59Speaker 1: march to Mosca. We got to Moscow, they burned the
- 3:02Speaker 1: city and then we were in a cold bloody retreat
- 3:05Speaker 1: for the next three months. Well, they've got one hundred
- 3:07Speaker 1: days in and now they don't have any plans. Donald
- 3:12Speaker 1: Trump's knocking down the White House he's making these wacky
- 3:16Speaker 1: deals with Argentinean beef people. He's got the saudy prints
- 3:22Speaker 1: coming in. There's just again, the feeling is a huge disconnect.
- 3:27Speaker 1: What's the difference between now and back during his first term. Well,
- 3:31Speaker 1: the economy was chugging along pretty well during the first term.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Today and we look at all these numbers. The president
- 3:39Speaker 1: can say it's a hoax. People can't young people define,
- 3:44Speaker 1: but people under forty can't buy homes. Grocery prices are
- 3:50Speaker 1: still going up. Maybe they're only going up two or
- 3:52Speaker 1: three percent, but that's on top of everything that happened before.
- 3:56Speaker 1: And I think the reason why Democrats mother shut down
- 4:00Speaker 1: healthcare bills are going to be the hidden and we
- 4:04Speaker 1: talked about this yesterday. It's going to be the hidden
- 4:07Speaker 1: issue that when people are paying more and more for
- 4:10Speaker 1: their policies, doctors are telling them they need procedures, and
- 4:14Speaker 1: then healthcare companies that make billions and billions of dollars
- 4:18Speaker 1: are saying, no, you can't get what your doctor says
- 4:20Speaker 1: you need to have, And then after you get home,
- 4:23Speaker 1: you have hidden costs that hit you weeks later. This
- 4:27Speaker 1: is all adding up with your car payment and to
- 4:31Speaker 1: have a President say, yeah, healthcare, we're signing thirty four
- 4:36Speaker 1: to sixty four. So caraff's very low. Foreign policies okay,
- 4:42Speaker 1: Immigration's okay. But anyway, on the economy of Fox News
- 4:45Speaker 1: poll has him down in the thirties.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's supposed to be his signature issue. President
- 4:52Speaker 2: Trump and has seen had four years out of power
- 4:54Speaker 2: and with the help of Project twenty twenty five and
- 4:56Speaker 2: other matters, they came back with a game plan and
- 4:58Speaker 2: experience to how to use the levers of government, the
- 5:00Speaker 2: levers of power.
- 5:01Speaker 1: And they did.
- 5:02Speaker 2: They were a steamroller on nearly every issue four months.
- 5:05Speaker 2: But that has really changed. They we saw the voters
- 5:09Speaker 2: deliver their votect at the election a couple of weeks ago.
- 5:11Speaker 1: We've just we ticked through the polls.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Getting worse for the president by the day. There's a
- 5:15Speaker 2: real sense that he is distracted, he's lost focus. He
- 5:18Speaker 2: is thinking about things like the East Wing rather than
- 5:20Speaker 2: driving down prices. Even there's a hallmark of Trump one
- 5:24Speaker 2: point zero the first term, a lot of chaos and
- 5:26Speaker 2: infighting that started up again.
- 5:27Speaker 1: We've had a Robert F.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Kennage Universus Susie Wilds feud in recent days.
- 5:32Speaker 1: By the way he did get He's gotten his vaccine
- 5:34Speaker 1: BULLSHITU on the CDC site now.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yeah, so at least in that case, the MAHA agenda
- 5:41Speaker 2: has won the anti vax stuff.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Uh.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And we've also.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Seen two For a president who really prides himself and
- 5:47Speaker 2: never retreating, we've seen two significant walk backs in the
- 5:50Speaker 2: last week because of a political vulnerability.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Tariffs.
- 5:53Speaker 2: He rolled back a few because it was an acknowledgment
- 5:56Speaker 2: food prices, coffee, bananas, a handful of things.
- 5:59Speaker 1: It's just too high.
- 6:00Speaker 2: So it's a signature, it's his plan. They rolled it back,
- 6:02Speaker 2: and now we had the Supreme Court expressing skeptism whether
- 6:05Speaker 2: he can do it at all. And now the Epstein matter,
- 6:07Speaker 2: something he fought fiercely. He could try to spend it
- 6:09Speaker 2: in the last couple of days, but I've talked to
- 6:11Speaker 2: people in and outside of the building. He had to
- 6:14Speaker 2: go along with it because he was going to get rolled.
- 6:15Speaker 2: This is a new vulnerability for the president. And we've
- 6:18Speaker 2: seen Democrats for the first time this year, be emboldened,
- 6:20Speaker 2: and we've seen Republicans start to be willing to challenge him,
- 6:24Speaker 2: which in his mind hasten that lame Duckstadt.
- 6:26Speaker 4: And we heard that voice through Joe Rogan yesterday where
- 6:29Speaker 4: he said, I speak for a lot of people who
- 6:30Speaker 4: supported you, Donald Trump, this is not a hoax. This
- 6:33Speaker 4: is a serious issue we care about. You can't wish
- 6:35Speaker 4: it away. And just quickly back to the economy. In
- 6:37Speaker 4: that Fox News poll, sixty percent of people said this
- 6:41Speaker 4: is Donald Trump's economy. You can't keep saying I inherited
- 6:44Speaker 4: a mess from Joe Biden. I inherited a mess. Sixty
- 6:47Speaker 4: two percent say it's Donald Trump's. And on the question
- 6:49Speaker 4: of affordability, which Donald Trump also has called a hoax
- 6:52Speaker 4: and a con job, eighty five percent of people in
- 6:55Speaker 4: this Fox News poll say, my grocery prices have gone up.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Can't tell me your driving prices down and that it's
- 7:02Speaker 4: not a problem, and it's a con job. I am
- 7:04Speaker 4: paying more at the grocery store, say eighty five percent
- 7:07Speaker 4: of it.
- 7:07Speaker 3: I was blaming Biden or immigrants. It seems that people
- 7:10Speaker 3: are getting a little tired of.
- 7:11Speaker 1: It, and Republicans are Now we're talking about Democrats saying, hey,
- 7:15Speaker 1: well you know what, maybe you know, we think we're
- 7:18Speaker 1: doing okay, We're going to be all right. Now you
- 7:20Speaker 1: have Republicans going on the House floor, criticizing the House speaker,
- 7:23Speaker 1: why did you keep us out so long? Right? Like,
- 7:26Speaker 1: they see one of the most historic gaps between Republicans
- 7:32Speaker 1: and Democrats, and they know they're in trouble. They all
- 7:35Speaker 1: know they're in trouble. So and speaking of trouble, I
- 7:38Speaker 1: mean you look at what's happened down in Texas. I
- 7:40Speaker 1: mean again, DOJ mistakes. You could do a top five
- 7:43Speaker 1: bone headed moves by the DOJ exposed this week so far,
- 7:49Speaker 1: and I mean it they all have massive consequences. I
- 7:52Speaker 1: know we're going to talk about one in a second.
- 7:54Speaker 1: But in the redistricting wars, Texas was the reason California
- 7:59Speaker 1: moved forward. Texas got five, California got five. Now because
- 8:03Speaker 1: DOJ lawyers misread the law. A judge is saying, I
- 8:11Speaker 1: think it was a Trump judge is saying, we're going
- 8:15Speaker 1: to throw this out. And they said the drafting of it,
- 8:19Speaker 1: it was like one hundred monkeys with one hundred crayons,
- 8:23Speaker 1: were like, we're drafting letters that. I mean, they even
- 8:27Speaker 1: even Republicans that were on the DJ side, we're saying
- 8:31Speaker 1: this is incomprehensible, it's incompetent, and this could cost Republicans
- 8:36Speaker 1: five seats.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I'll just read one line from the judge's opinion. It
- 8:39Speaker 2: says it was quote challenging to unpack all of the factual,
- 8:43Speaker 2: legal and typographical errors in that DOJ missive just saying
- 8:47Speaker 2: this is ridiculous. This is not based on anything that
- 8:51Speaker 2: we can support that would stand up in court. And
- 8:53Speaker 2: now the politics of this is if these seats go
- 8:55Speaker 2: away California, that seems enshrine. That's the voters did that, yeah,
- 8:58Speaker 2: and then the Democrats are eyeing things like Virginia in Maryland.
- 9:01Speaker 2: We've also seen Indiana tell the president know that this
- 9:05Speaker 2: is going to be.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Done, Kansas told the President no
- 9:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Democrats are going to come out break even, and
- 9:10Speaker 2: potentially it started to look like come out ahead in
- 9:13Speaker 2: the Britishing Wars
