- 3:50Speaker 6: the Canal Charleston Humane Association. Hannah, good morning, welcome to
- 3:53Speaker 6: the show.
- 3:54Speaker 9: Good morning, I'm here.
- 3:55Speaker 6: Morgan is here as well.
- 3:57Speaker 7: Good morning, Hannah morning.
- 3:59Speaker 6: Let's good you are adopt me. Please put of the
- 4:01Speaker 6: Week has always picture posted at Dave Allen Radio on
- 4:04Speaker 6: Facebook and The Day Valence Show on Twitter x whatever
- 4:06Speaker 6: you call it. Now tell us all about Champagne, Hannah.
- 4:11Speaker 9: All right, Well, Champagne is a very handsome nail dog.
- 4:16Speaker 9: He is fixed already, so he's ready to go home.
- 4:20Speaker 9: He's ready to be in a yard playing around. He
- 4:24Speaker 9: is a little bit bashful and you very first to
- 4:26Speaker 9: meet him, but he warms up rather quickly. He's a
- 4:31Speaker 9: foster candidate as well, So if you wanted to foster
- 4:34Speaker 9: and see how it goes for a couple of days
- 4:36Speaker 9: and then adopt, or maybe even if you're just not
- 4:39Speaker 9: ready for that commitment and you just want to get
- 4:40Speaker 9: him out of the shelter for a little bit, he
- 4:42Speaker 9: is a foster candidate, so you could do that. He
- 4:46Speaker 9: does like other dogs. He prefers playful dog because he
- 4:49Speaker 9: is very playful himself. He's very rough, playful dog. So
- 4:54Speaker 9: you would want to make sure that you know your
- 4:56Speaker 9: dog is okay with another dog that is more of
- 4:59Speaker 9: like a mouthy, rough player. But he's very very good.
- 5:03Speaker 9: He is what we consider a weekend adventure because he
- 5:08Speaker 9: likes to He loves to be out on the leash.
- 5:11Speaker 9: He loves to be just out and about doing things.
- 5:13Speaker 9: He really likes being out in the play yards. So
- 5:15Speaker 9: I'm sure he would benefit from someone who maybe had
- 5:19Speaker 9: a little bit of a yard to give him so
- 5:21Speaker 9: he can run around and play in the yard. I
- 5:24Speaker 9: do know that he likes toys as well, so I mean,
- 5:27Speaker 9: if you're willing to throw a ball for a while,
- 5:29Speaker 9: he'll play with you. He is fixed already and during
- 5:34Speaker 9: Bastile this week we are doing ten dollars adoptions for
- 5:40Speaker 9: bis will and see the shelter. But if they are
- 5:42Speaker 9: staymotered already, then they are zero. So where he is
- 5:46Speaker 9: already fixed, he would be zero and you could take
- 5:48Speaker 9: him home, and like I said, you could foster, or
- 5:52Speaker 9: you could just straight up adopt him. He's a very
- 5:55Speaker 9: very good boy. He's very very sweet. He loves to
- 5:58Speaker 9: play in the water a pool out in the playard,
- 6:02Speaker 9: like a dog bone shaped pool, and he absolutely loves
- 6:05Speaker 9: being that And if he's not in that, and if
- 6:08Speaker 9: the hose is running, then he's wanting to play in
- 6:10Speaker 9: the water with the hose. So he definitely is a
- 6:12Speaker 9: water dog for somebody.
- 6:14Speaker 7: I love this.
- 6:15Speaker 8: He has almost like a dating profile. His picture is
- 6:17Speaker 8: so cute. He looks like he's actually smiling. He's in
- 6:20Speaker 8: the water, and I feel like you said he's a
- 6:23Speaker 8: weakened adventurer. I feel like his dating profile would say
- 6:25Speaker 8: has passport, will travel.
- 6:28Speaker 7: That's a picture Champagne.
- 6:30Speaker 8: He likes the finer things in life, including pools.
- 6:33Speaker 6: Water hose bottles.
- 6:35Speaker 7: Yeah, water hoses. String him the hose. He's so cute.
- 6:38Speaker 6: What kind of dog is he?
- 6:39Speaker 9: Do you?
- 6:40Speaker 6: Guys? I mean, I know, Morgan, you're you're more of
- 6:42Speaker 6: a dog person than what I am. And any guess
- 6:44Speaker 6: or Hannah, you want to weigh in on what kind
- 6:46Speaker 6: of dog you think Champagne is.
- 6:48Speaker 9: Gosh, I shouldn't tell you. I definitely think just by
- 6:52Speaker 9: like seeing him in person and stuff and his face
- 6:55Speaker 9: shape that he is possible he could have like pity
- 6:58Speaker 9: or lab or something. He's got those years like a
- 7:01Speaker 9: like reminds me of a little bit like a pity,
- 7:04Speaker 9: But you know. It's I've been so wrong so many
- 7:07Speaker 9: times when people go and dnasas them. So I think
- 7:10Speaker 9: it would be really interesting to know what he is.
- 7:13Speaker 8: Yeah, he looks like a West Virginia champagne dog. He's
- 7:15Speaker 8: not necessarily a brown dog. He's a champagne dog. That's
- 7:18Speaker 8: what he looks like to me. But I agree, I
- 7:19Speaker 8: think there's some pity in there. He just looks like
- 7:21Speaker 8: a happy boy who wants some room to play, a
- 7:24Speaker 8: family to play with, and to have a great time.
- 7:27Speaker 9: Yes, and he is around eighty nine pounds, so he's
- 7:30Speaker 9: a bigger boy, but.
- 7:32Speaker 6: He's pretty much he's pretty much stopped growing, I mean
- 7:35Speaker 6: at this point, right yeah, other than other than getting
- 7:38Speaker 6: fight or like look like myself and they other than that, right.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Right.
- 7:43Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 9: So he's about to be three years old, so he's
- 7:46Speaker 9: fully grown and like you said, he might fill out
- 7:49Speaker 9: more depending on how you feed him. But he's he's gonna.
- 7:52Speaker 6: Get What about somebody actually in the building asked me,
- 7:55Speaker 6: do we know how he is with cats?
- 7:58Speaker 9: No, we do not. I always it's just advised caution
- 8:01Speaker 9: with that. Now, we do have an animal behaviorist on
- 8:03Speaker 9: site who can tell you if she thinks that he
- 8:06Speaker 9: has more of a prey drive or not. But with
- 8:11Speaker 9: that being said, even if we think that they have
- 8:13Speaker 9: more a prey drive, we've still seen some of them
- 8:15Speaker 9: that have a very high pray drive but go home
- 8:17Speaker 9: and live perfectly with cats. So it's really just a
- 8:22Speaker 9: correct introduction for you to try on at home.
- 8:26Speaker 6: Tell us about and we'll go back to Champagne here
- 8:28Speaker 6: in a moment. Tell us about this borrow a Buddy
- 8:30Speaker 6: program that you've got going on.
- 8:33Speaker 9: Yeah, so we do have the borrow a buddy we
- 8:36Speaker 9: are calling it. It's it's kind of you could do
- 8:40Speaker 9: like a day out with him, or you could do
- 8:43Speaker 9: a foster for a while, but it's it's a borrow
- 8:45Speaker 9: a buddy of program where pretty much if you're not
- 8:48Speaker 9: ready to adopt or it's kind of it's really just
- 8:51Speaker 9: kind of like fostering. However, you don't have to commit
- 8:54Speaker 9: to keeping them overnight if you don't want to. You
- 8:56Speaker 9: can also just take them out for a day or
- 8:59Speaker 9: go to a park or for a puppetino or car
- 9:02Speaker 9: ride just to get them out of the shelter for
- 9:04Speaker 9: a little bit.
- 9:04Speaker 8: I think it's great here because you get to learn
- 9:06Speaker 8: more about the dogs. I saw the adventure with Granny
- 9:09Speaker 8: Smith that she took yesterday or the day before, I think, and.
- 9:13Speaker 7: It was just so sweet.
- 9:14Speaker 8: They get a day out, they get toys and pop
- 9:16Speaker 8: cups and walks and all the fun things, a little
- 9:18Speaker 8: bit of cuddles, and you guys get to learn a
- 9:20Speaker 8: little bit more about the dog's behavior personality so you
- 9:23Speaker 8: can share that with with future families. What an amazing
- 9:26Speaker 8: idea and what a great way to get the dogs
- 9:28Speaker 8: out of the shelter and having a great day.
- 9:31Speaker 9: Yeah, it's definitely something we've enjoyed and a lot of
- 9:34Speaker 9: people have been doing. Actually, we've gotten a lot of
- 9:36Speaker 9: them to go out on the borrow a Buddy program,
- 9:40Speaker 9: and like you said, Granny Smith is a great example
- 9:42Speaker 9: of that. She gets the car ride out, she got
- 9:45Speaker 9: a puppetino. I think they took her to a pet
- 9:48Speaker 9: store and got her a toy, and she got to
- 9:51Speaker 9: walk on the boulevard. So that's an all around great
- 9:53Speaker 9: day for a dog.
- 9:54Speaker 8: It is, And you probably find some great foster failures,
- 9:57Speaker 8: which I am one of.
- 9:59Speaker 7: I'm a foster failing.
- 10:00Speaker 8: Your Stella was just supposed to come home with us
- 10:02Speaker 8: for a few days at Thanksgiving and well now it's
- 10:04Speaker 8: seven years later, we're still looking.
- 10:07Speaker 6: For seven hours turned into seven years. Yes, yes, And
- 10:12Speaker 6: any of you folks who are also looking for some
- 10:13Speaker 6: help up there doing some hiring, is that right?
- 10:16Speaker 9: Yes, we are doing some hiring. I believe we are
- 10:19Speaker 9: hiring for an adoption counselor, which is someone who is
- 10:24Speaker 9: more so at the front of the building where you
- 10:26Speaker 9: are helping them go through the adoption process after they've
- 10:29Speaker 9: already found who they're looking for. And we're also hiring
- 10:33Speaker 9: for animal care attendant, so helping and clean some of
- 10:37Speaker 9: the kennels and puppy rooms stuff like that. And then
- 10:42Speaker 9: I believe maybe also admission so helping the animals when
- 10:45Speaker 9: they come into the shelter from a humane officer or
- 10:49Speaker 9: a member of the public or something like that.
- 10:52Speaker 6: And you've kind of referenced this earlier, and I want
- 10:54Speaker 6: you to follow up on that. This Abyssal Pet Foundation
- 10:57Speaker 6: empty the shelters and this is something that the Bissle
- 11:01Speaker 6: Company does every year nationwide and that's still going on
- 11:03Speaker 6: for a little while.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Is that right?
- 11:06Speaker 9: Yes, So it's Thistle Pet Foundation and Kathy Bissel. They
- 11:11Speaker 9: basically sponsor a portion of the adoption fee, and then
- 11:16Speaker 9: there's a portion of it left. So as this week
- 11:19Speaker 9: we are doing the ten dollars adoption fee and then
- 11:22Speaker 9: if they are already six, they are going home at
- 11:25Speaker 9: zero dollars. So that does include their say neuter, their vaccines,
- 11:29Speaker 9: their dew warmer, please take medicine, and then coupon's the
- 11:32Speaker 9: pet crow as well. So it's definitely worth it.
- 11:35Speaker 6: I got a text here for you, Hannah. Does the
- 11:37Speaker 6: program apply to cats and kittens? It seems like every
- 11:40Speaker 6: conversation promotion is about dogs.
- 11:44Speaker 9: For the Borrow Buddy program, we spe typically don't.
- 11:48Speaker 6: I don't know what they meant and if they want
- 11:50Speaker 6: to text back and clarify that, I don't know if
- 11:52Speaker 6: they meant that program or the bistle I mean, the
- 11:55Speaker 6: thing about cats is is you know, it's it's all
- 11:58Speaker 6: in all animals are different. You guys know that, but
- 12:00Speaker 6: it is kind of difficult. Cats just don't. They don't
- 12:03Speaker 6: think like dogs, do you know, as far as going
- 12:05Speaker 6: into another.
- 12:05Speaker 7: Hole in their daily activity.
- 12:08Speaker 6: Yeah, So I don't know which program they're talking about,
- 12:10Speaker 6: but let's I'm going to assume maybe they're talking about
- 12:13Speaker 6: the the the Bissele program. So is that part of
- 12:17Speaker 6: this is what our cat's part of that as well.
- 12:19Speaker 9: Yes, so it's adult cats, kittens, puppies and dogs, so
- 12:22Speaker 9: it's everybody in.
- 12:23Speaker 6: The shelter right now, Okay, it Actually they just text
- 12:26Speaker 6: it back and said no, they meant the buddy with
- 12:27Speaker 6: the borrow buddy program, and again it was it would
- 12:30Speaker 6: be very I mean, I understand it, and again I'm
- 12:32Speaker 6: a cat person. I would understand exactly what the texture
- 12:34Speaker 6: is saying, but it would be difficult to do that
- 12:36Speaker 6: with most cats, not all. Some cats are you know, cat,
- 12:39Speaker 6: Every cat is different. They're not like dogs, and so
- 12:42Speaker 6: I think it might be difficult to do that with cats.
- 12:44Speaker 6: Would you agree with that, Hannah?
- 12:46Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, cats are their stress is a little bit
- 12:49Speaker 9: different than dogs. Dogs enjoy getting out and doing different things.
- 12:52Speaker 9: They've got a lot of energy, most dogs at least,
- 12:56Speaker 9: and then cats they are a little bit more freaked
- 12:58Speaker 9: out when they go into new area. So it's definitely
- 13:01Speaker 9: harder for them to do a foster slash burrow a
- 13:04Speaker 9: buddy program, unless you know it's something that's like foster to.
- 13:08Speaker 6: A doct right, yeah, exactly. All right. I'll tell you
- 13:11Speaker 6: a quick story before we let you go. Something happened
- 13:13Speaker 6: to my wife and I This was going back, you know,
- 13:15Speaker 6: a long time ago. My wife and I were going
- 13:17Speaker 6: to go on vacation and we had one cat. This
- 13:19Speaker 6: was the first cat we had ever had together. I'd
- 13:22Speaker 6: had cats growing up. Most of my cats were outdoor cats.
- 13:24Speaker 6: Our cat was a complete outdoor I mean, I'm sorry,
- 13:26Speaker 6: an indoor cat. And so my wife and I are
- 13:28Speaker 6: going to go out of stayed on vacation. So I
- 13:30Speaker 6: got the bright idea said, well, we'll just take our
- 13:32Speaker 6: cat to my mother's house and my mother can keep
- 13:36Speaker 6: the cat, not knowing that that wasn't a thing that
- 13:39Speaker 6: you do with cats, and so we put the cat
- 13:41Speaker 6: in the carrier, took the litter box and everything to
- 13:43Speaker 6: my mother's. It was the worst experience ever. The cat
- 13:46Speaker 6: freaked out being in another house. Yeah, it was. It
- 13:50Speaker 6: was not good. So at least and again, all animals
- 13:52Speaker 6: are different, and Morgan, you guys know that, but I
- 13:55Speaker 6: think that was probably not something that's recommended. They don't
- 13:58Speaker 6: like when you screw with their routine.
- 14:00Speaker 7: Yeah, so traumatic for the kiddie.
- 14:02Speaker 6: And an hour later we were back at the house.
- 14:04Speaker 7: Oh my gosh.
- 14:05Speaker 8: Well, I'm not a cat person, but I inherited a
- 14:07Speaker 8: cat when I married my husband who he had bottle fed,
- 14:10Speaker 8: and this cat lived to be twenty three years old.
- 14:12Speaker 6: I think it was crazy.
- 14:13Speaker 8: Twenty three years old, this cat. This cat, I swear
- 14:19Speaker 8: she would disappear for a few days and I would
- 14:21Speaker 8: start to freak out because my husband was very connected
- 14:24Speaker 8: to this cat, and I would think she's gone off.
- 14:25Speaker 8: You know, they like to have their privacy at end
- 14:27Speaker 8: of life. I'm like, she's gone off some I'm trying
- 14:29Speaker 8: to console bin. Three days later, she would kick that
- 14:32Speaker 8: door open, come in, like she just got nine more lives.
- 14:35Speaker 7: This cat. I swear we'll go out. She would Was she.
- 14:38Speaker 6: Going away to a spot or something?
- 14:40Speaker 8: Honestly, she was like dancing naked under the full moonlight.
- 14:43Speaker 7: She was drinking the blood of other cats. I don't
- 14:46Speaker 7: know she was.
- 14:48Speaker 8: She was truly a legend. But twenty three years Wow,
- 14:52Speaker 8: she lived.
- 14:54Speaker 6: That's that's got to be I mean, I don't know
- 14:55Speaker 6: what the record is, but that's it's close. That's got
- 14:58Speaker 6: to be close.
- 14:58Speaker 7: She was not happy one day.
- 15:00Speaker 6: All right, Hannah, we will let you go. I appreciate
- 15:02Speaker 6: you being here. We'll talk again next week. Thanks a lot,
- 15:04Speaker 6: Thank you, and a gardener for the Charles Newmain association
- 15:07Speaker 6: with our DoPT mey please Pet of the week and
- 15:10Speaker 6: it's Champagne, almost three years old, male neuter. Adoption fee
- 15:15Speaker 6: has been waved so he's free. Can be a little
- 15:18Speaker 6: bit bashful of first, loves other playful dogs. Loves the water,
- 15:21Speaker 6: loves his pool, loves his water hose. She loves his
- 15:24Speaker 6: water and was surrendered due to no fault of his own.

- 19:29Speaker 3: This is season twenty. This is week number nine. Next
- 19:31Speaker 3: week is Multifest not considered a Live on the Levee,
- 19:35Speaker 3: and then we'll have one more on August to ninth.
- 19:37Speaker 3: That'll be a big night. It's back to school, lots
- 19:39Speaker 3: of kiddo's down there. UC night, the West Virginia State
- 19:43Speaker 3: University Night should be a big night. The final one
- 19:45Speaker 3: might be fireworks. I gotta confirm that. But tonight tonight
- 19:49Speaker 3: we have an all West Virginia theme going on at
- 19:52Speaker 3: six thirty down and hadad Riverfront Parka taking center stage
- 19:56Speaker 3: on the show, and bomb stage will be Grace cam
- 20:00Speaker 3: gracing the stage. Grace Campbell. She hails from West Virginia.
- 20:04Speaker 3: She has a really unique, charming voice. She's a brilliant
- 20:09Speaker 3: songwriter from what I understand. So she may play a
- 20:11Speaker 3: few covers, but I'm sure she'll play a couple of
- 20:14Speaker 3: her own tunes. She'll play for about sixty minutes or
- 20:18Speaker 3: so till seven thirty, would take a little break. We
- 20:20Speaker 3: think all the sponsors, We let the charity say a
- 20:23Speaker 3: few words. Of course, the charities. We do this charity
- 20:26Speaker 3: thing every Friday night. The levy is great fun for
- 20:28Speaker 3: a great cause, and we help those charities and then
- 20:31Speaker 3: at seven forty five for two forty five minute sets.
- 20:34Speaker 3: I love the description of this band that I know,
- 20:36Speaker 3: Matt Mullins. I don't know if I know the Bringdowns,
- 20:38Speaker 3: but Matt Mullins and the Bringdowns are ay alternative dad
- 20:43Speaker 3: rock band. Y'all alternative dad rock band. I love alternate alternative.
- 20:48Speaker 3: And it's a dad rock band out of Beckley and
- 20:51Speaker 3: Matt Mullins. And they're great. There's about four or five
- 20:53Speaker 3: guys and they seem to really like each other and
- 20:55Speaker 3: they really feel like they have found themselves with this band.
- 20:59Speaker 3: They have that unique sound and they synchronize and harmonize together.
- 21:02Speaker 3: They play a few covers. I think they play a
- 21:04Speaker 3: couple of their own tunes as well. They're just going
- 21:07Speaker 3: to be extremely entertaining. And as I say every Friday,
- 21:11Speaker 3: I'm a broken record. But folks, if you haven't heard
- 21:14Speaker 3: these folks, don't think they don't think that they're not
- 21:16Speaker 3: very good. Every band that we've had at the Live
- 21:19Speaker 3: Levee this summer has been amazingly gifted and talented and entertaining.
- 21:24Speaker 3: And last week was no different, the week before that,
- 21:26Speaker 3: and tonight will be no different as well. If for
- 21:30Speaker 3: no other reason, come down, listen to a little bit
- 21:32Speaker 3: of music, but enjoy some of the most delicious food
- 21:34Speaker 3: on the boulevard. We've got like fifteen twenty food trucks
- 21:37Speaker 3: down there, some great dessert trucks, and get a spirited
- 21:40Speaker 3: beverager two stay hydrated. Speaking of hydration and spirited beverages.
- 21:45Speaker 3: The weather, I think your sister station over here, your
- 21:48Speaker 3: buddy Steve Bishop, he's trying the jinxes. We've had great
- 21:51Speaker 3: weather all summer, no rain outs whatsoever. Tonight's going to
- 21:54Speaker 3: be picture perfect, a little bit warm, but no humidity,
- 21:57Speaker 3: nice breeze off the Canal River. It's going to be
- 22:00Speaker 3: great weather wise tonight, so we hope to see a
- 22:02Speaker 3: lot of boats on the Kanal River. We hope to
- 22:04Speaker 3: see lots of bicycles down there, lots of cars parked
- 22:07Speaker 3: in the garage all over town. We want to see
- 22:09Speaker 3: town buzzing. Get down there to have that riverfront park
- 22:12Speaker 3: six thirty to nine thirty, and it should be, could be,
- 22:15Speaker 3: the could be. We could have the makings of an
- 22:17Speaker 3: epic night weather wise, and just a nice crowd. I
- 22:20Speaker 3: think for a couple of weeks they've been good crowds,
- 22:23Speaker 3: and I think we may have we may have had
- 22:25Speaker 3: a little for gotta hangover. I think the hangover should
- 22:27Speaker 3: be out of our system now and it's time to
- 22:29Speaker 3: replenish and get back. Get down there and enjoy some
- 22:32Speaker 3: live music and a bike deat and and a beverage,
- 22:35Speaker 3: enjoyed the fellowship of the evening with your neighbors. There's
- 22:37Speaker 3: going to be lots of folks, as always, from out
- 22:39Speaker 3: of town, out of state. I know we have some
- 22:41Speaker 3: guests at the Airbnb right now from the Netherlands who
- 22:44Speaker 3: will be there tonight. Like when you and I go
- 22:47Speaker 3: over to the Ireland, you know, for a week. They're
- 22:49Speaker 3: in America traveling and they're at the Airbnb right now,
- 22:54Speaker 3: and I said something about the Levey. Oh no, we've
- 22:56Speaker 3: already we researched that we're going to be there tomorrow night.
- 22:58Speaker 3: I said, I'll give you.
- 22:59Speaker 4: A shout out there, like exciting.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Really it was. It was really pretty cool. And five
- 23:04Speaker 3: of my cousins are coming down from willing tonight, just
- 23:06Speaker 3: driving down for the levee and literally driving home after
- 23:08Speaker 3: it's over, not even spending the night. So it should
- 23:10Speaker 3: be a great night to come down to the Levey.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Lots of folks from out of town, out of state,
- 23:14Speaker 3: out of country. We've gone international.
- 23:16Speaker 8: Now we've gone international. We've made a big well Jim.
- 23:18Speaker 8: I ran into Matt Mullins last night.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Okay, he's in town.
- 23:21Speaker 8: He brought his girls, his girls basketball team. He brought
- 23:24Speaker 8: them to the Empower Her event. They participated in the panel.
- 23:29Speaker 8: Matt is such a wonderful human being. And I'll tell
- 23:31Speaker 8: you the excitement he has to be headlining the levee.
- 23:35Speaker 3: He's losing, he's losing his cookies.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I know.
- 23:37Speaker 7: Yes, it was so it.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Was a genuine he was so.
- 23:39Speaker 8: Authentically authentic or so genuine. He's so passionate about what
- 23:42Speaker 8: he does. And I'll tell you what, He's just so
- 23:44Speaker 8: much fun. So if you haven't seen Matt Mullins and
- 23:46Speaker 8: the breakdown, his little bare feet running around up there
- 23:49Speaker 8: on stage, get down there and see it.
- 23:50Speaker 7: Do yourself a favor.
- 23:51Speaker 3: If you would have known, you would have said something
- 23:53Speaker 3: about y'all turn up to Dad Rocks band.
- 23:55Speaker 7: I know, I love that I did not so.
- 23:58Speaker 6: Your guests from the Netherlands. Is the alternative scene really
- 24:01Speaker 6: big in the Netherlands?
- 24:02Speaker 3: We we will find out tonight when I ask him.
- 24:06Speaker 6: With you, Jim, what's that? Should have brought him with you?
- 24:07Speaker 3: I should have brought him with me, and I don't.
- 24:09Speaker 6: Think we've had any on our show in the past.
- 24:13Speaker 3: On the deck there they love overlooking the city of Charleston,
- 24:16Speaker 3: looking down here at the studio, and I should have said, hey,
- 24:18Speaker 3: come on with me, y'all.
- 24:19Speaker 7: Y'all need to.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Have a nice little twang about him. It's a different
- 24:23Speaker 3: twang than ours.
- 24:26Speaker 6: So again, no live on the levee next week because
- 24:29Speaker 6: next week is Multifest. Will be talking about that and
- 24:30Speaker 6: then wrap up for good for the summer the week
- 24:34Speaker 6: after that. But tonight, get on down and check out
- 24:37Speaker 6: Matt Mullins and to bring downs along with Grace Campbell
- 24:40Speaker 6: and his Jim. I don't know who it is that
- 24:42Speaker 6: you bribe with the weather. God's fingers crossed, but it
- 24:45Speaker 6: seems like even going back the last couple of years
- 24:48Speaker 6: that you've had very jinks.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Either fortunate. There was a there was a couple of
- 24:53Speaker 3: years back, three or four years back it was really
- 24:55Speaker 3: iffy almost every Friday. We got most of them in,
- 24:59Speaker 3: but we had the the drops. We had to wait
- 25:01Speaker 3: for a minute. It was black and we thought it
- 25:04Speaker 3: might rain, and it was just this year we haven't
- 25:08Speaker 3: had really a threat. For the most part. It's been wonderful,
- 25:11Speaker 3: warm every week and again tonight warm. But the amenity
- 25:15Speaker 3: starting to drop is the I know we still have
- 25:17Speaker 3: two more months of summer, but it feels August gets here,
- 25:20Speaker 3: then it starts to be coming back to school in
- 25:22Speaker 3: football season, starts to feel like fall. You can smell
- 25:24Speaker 3: some fall in the morning. I could this morning just
- 25:27Speaker 3: a little bit. The humanity's dropping tonight. But we've been
- 25:29Speaker 3: very fortunate. It's been a great, great boat season. It's
- 25:32Speaker 3: been a great season with the folks coming down. It's
- 25:37Speaker 3: been a wonderful season with the elexity of that a
- 25:40Speaker 3: word of the of the music. We've had really great
- 25:44Speaker 3: music of all different types. So the genres have been
- 25:48Speaker 3: all over the board and people are like, I've never
- 25:50Speaker 3: heard of them. I'm like, I haven't either, But I'm
- 25:53Speaker 3: here to tell you. The band selection committee for the Levee,
- 25:56Speaker 3: they have well over two hundred and fifty to two
- 25:58Speaker 3: hundred and eighty bands to choose. They know what they're doing.
- 26:01Speaker 3: They're selecting folks who are really talented and I've said
- 26:04Speaker 3: it before. They're gifted, and they're really neat to listen to,
- 26:09Speaker 3: and they're just they're so good. And Matt will be
- 26:12Speaker 3: no different, Grace Campbell will be no different. Come down.
- 26:15Speaker 3: I haven't had a chance to thank our sponsors yet.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Of course it's Moses Auto Group, so we thank Moses
- 26:19Speaker 3: all often. But it's brought to you by the City
- 26:21Speaker 3: of Charleston. I want to thank Brewer and Company, along
- 26:24Speaker 3: with lou Wendell Marine the health Plan. We have a
- 26:28Speaker 3: WHSTV eight night tonight, and of course this station right here,
- 26:31Speaker 3: Talk Radio fifty eight and your morning show, and I
- 26:34Speaker 3: know the afternoon show. This whole station does a good
- 26:36Speaker 3: job promoting all the good I know. After I get done,
- 26:39Speaker 3: I think Jk's out there waiting in the wing. I
- 26:41Speaker 3: just want to put a quick plug in. I'll let
- 26:42Speaker 3: you talk to JK. But tomorrow Retrofest music almost all
- 26:46Speaker 3: day at the Slack Plaza from like what it was
- 26:48Speaker 3: at More eleven o'clock. Jk'll give you the details, but
- 26:52Speaker 3: there's so much to that's just music. And I've got
- 26:55Speaker 3: I've looked at my calendar for tomorrow. I'm going to
- 26:57Speaker 3: like five or six places. I'm like on a side
- 27:00Speaker 3: or did July twenty seven again, I'm gonna say this
- 27:03Speaker 3: to them out you can't find anything to do in
- 27:04Speaker 3: this community. It's your own dagon fault. It's on you,
- 27:08Speaker 3: not me. We're doing the best we can providing things
- 27:11Speaker 3: and we do.
- 27:11Speaker 6: I got Jim, I got a texture for you that
- 27:13Speaker 6: says great doctor hook reference.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Oh how about that?
- 27:16Speaker 6: Now that one came to my personal phone. That's from
- 27:18Speaker 6: my good buddy Jeff Campbell. You know jeffe radio guy
- 27:22Speaker 6: House of Delegates member, listening to us in Greenbrier County.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Right, nice's hook. There you go.

- 31:48Speaker 4: Morgan, Hi, how are you fantastic?
- 31:51Speaker 8: Dave was talking about how amazing your voice is, and
- 31:53Speaker 8: I just hear it now and it is.
- 31:54Speaker 7: It's smooth like Betta.
- 31:55Speaker 4: I never said his voice was amazing. I can never

- 32:01Speaker 6: I did say, though, those of us that have done

- 32:07Speaker 6: like you, I'm like, gosh, I wish I had that voice.
- 32:10Speaker 6: I simply don't have it. And maybe when I hit
- 32:12Speaker 6: puberty I'll get it.
- 32:15Speaker 7: There's still time, so retro.
- 32:18Speaker 6: Fest three, Yes back, What is Retro Tomorrow.
- 32:20Speaker 16: It's a celebration of retro music and retro stuff, Retro
- 32:24Speaker 16: Thangs starting tomorrow at City Center at Slack Plaza at
- 32:28Speaker 16: eleven am until about nine thirty. We've got live music
- 32:31Speaker 16: entertainers like Joey Stepp, comedy magician, also an aerialist called
- 32:36Speaker 16: Andy de Boord. I'll be spending tunes early in between
- 32:40Speaker 16: the band breaks. And we've got tons of stuff, tons
- 32:42Speaker 16: of stuff to give away this year, well over one
- 32:45Speaker 16: thousand dollars worth of gift certificates to local restaurants and such,
- 32:49Speaker 16: and non stop music man and beautiful weather to tomorrow,
- 32:53Speaker 16: low humidity, very little chance of rank. It's gonna be hot,
- 32:57Speaker 16: but we're gonna have plenty of hydration spots there.
- 33:00Speaker 4: So this is all It's fight claws, Yes, that's correct.
- 33:03Speaker 16: All within the footprint of a city Center at Slack Plaza,
- 33:06Speaker 16: right and year three.
- 33:07Speaker 6: Yes, I remember when you first met with us, like
- 33:10Speaker 6: a couple of years ago, year one, and you were
- 33:13Speaker 6: planning it, and I thought, well, this is really really
- 33:16Speaker 6: a cool event because you know, there's so many different
- 33:19Speaker 6: things we talked about with Straw and that go on
- 33:21Speaker 6: in Charleston and the surrounding areas. But something like this
- 33:23Speaker 6: that celebrates the retro aspect the field the field. So
- 33:28Speaker 6: when you say retro, you know, retro means different things
- 33:31Speaker 6: to different people, depending on where you are in life.
- 33:34Speaker 6: What give me an example of some of the things
- 33:36Speaker 6: or some of the music or whatever that will be
- 33:38Speaker 6: featured tomorrow. Well, I'm going to try to play off
- 33:40Speaker 6: of the bands they do, mostly classic rock from the seventies, eighties,
- 33:44Speaker 6: and the nineties, and I'm going to try to slip
- 33:46Speaker 6: in some R and B and some other classic hits
- 33:50Speaker 6: too from that period those decades.
- 33:52Speaker 8: I've seen some amazing musicians on your line of including
- 33:55Speaker 8: some really great female rockers, which I'm so excited to
- 33:58Speaker 8: see them represented. What a great day, Like you said,
- 34:01Speaker 8: it starts at ten am, right, eleven am starts at
- 34:04Speaker 8: eleven am. A great way for families to come out
- 34:06Speaker 8: to you and start introducing their kids to some classic
- 34:09Speaker 8: rock and I love that.
- 34:11Speaker 16: And a tree, yes, free of charge, absolutely free, non ticketed.
- 34:15Speaker 8: Wonderful. What other vendors will you have there? Is there
- 34:18Speaker 8: going to be food, beverages, things like that for.
- 34:20Speaker 16: Food and plenty of ice, cold beer, also cold water,
- 34:24Speaker 16: for those who want to rehydrate after they have a
- 34:26Speaker 16: couple of a barley sodas, I like to call them
- 34:29Speaker 16: and let.
- 34:30Speaker 6: Me tell you something. All beer is is cereal in
- 34:33Speaker 6: a can. If you look a look at the ingredients
- 34:36Speaker 6: right wheat barley, you're drinking total. That's basically that's all
- 34:41Speaker 6: it is.
- 34:42Speaker 7: It's healthy.
- 34:43Speaker 16: Good point is that's right, grains, grains.
- 34:48Speaker 6: But I didn't mean to interrupt you, but be talked
- 34:50Speaker 6: about the vendors.
- 34:51Speaker 16: Yes, yes, we've got a number of vendors. There, tons
- 34:55Speaker 16: of food vendors. We just added several yesterday.
- 34:58Speaker 4: I had that.
- 34:58Speaker 16: They all don't come to mind at the moment, but
- 35:00Speaker 16: if you guys want to look it up online retrofest
- 35:03Speaker 16: dot com and also Retrofest twenty twenty four, if you
- 35:08Speaker 16: guys want to do that quick search. I would like
- 35:11Speaker 16: to talk for a moment about our musical artists tomorrow. Yeah,
- 35:14Speaker 16: Landra Johnson, she's does a guitar solo act and she's
- 35:18Speaker 16: going to do some Fleetwood mac and artists like that
- 35:20Speaker 16: from the what I call the retro period. And also
- 35:24Speaker 16: a Neil Curry, a guitarist extraordinaire, maybe on the same
- 35:28Speaker 16: level as your slide guitarist.
- 35:30Speaker 6: It's going to be here, so yeah, yeah, maybe Neil
- 35:33Speaker 6: Curryes from Putnam County. Is he that is correct?
- 35:35Speaker 4: I do you believe that's correct?
- 35:36Speaker 6: He teaches, he teaches.
- 35:38Speaker 7: Yeah, I see him all over the place. He's very talented.
- 35:40Speaker 4: Oh yeah yeah.
- 35:41Speaker 16: And of course Non Friction the big rock yeah, glam
- 35:45Speaker 16: rock kind of an arenaa rock band. They're going to
- 35:47Speaker 16: be jamming on stage from seven thirty. They're a headliner
- 35:49Speaker 16: for the evening seven thirty to nine thirty. Those guys
- 35:52Speaker 16: are fantastic. We had them in year one and they
- 35:55Speaker 16: are great.
- 35:55Speaker 6: I worked the Food Truck Festival in Putnam County a
- 35:58Speaker 6: couple of years with Non Friction. There are fantastic.
- 36:01Speaker 4: Yeah, really sure, tight band, no kidding, Yeah, they're very good.
- 36:04Speaker 8: It's such a fun night because you can go out,
- 36:06Speaker 8: you can hear songs that you know, sing along with them,
- 36:08Speaker 8: introduce yourself some really talented local artists, and like I said,
- 36:12Speaker 8: expose the next generation to this amazing music that we've
- 36:14Speaker 8: had a taste of for several decades. Y.
- 36:16Speaker 16: Yeah, I can't wait to get my hands on the
- 36:18Speaker 16: wheels of steel Man. It's gonna be fun.
- 36:21Speaker 6: I got a text here for you, JK. Your fans
- 36:24Speaker 6: want you uh oh, you're doing court oh and I'm
- 36:26Speaker 6: sorry for the money for retrofests as a textra. How
- 36:30Speaker 6: far back are we talking? I'm a gen xer, so
- 36:32Speaker 6: you know I love my nineteen eighties, but my parents
- 36:35Speaker 6: also raised us on fifties and sixties too, like Elvis,
- 36:38Speaker 6: the Beatles and classic motown. So will that be played
- 36:41Speaker 6: even if it's just by DJ.
- 36:43Speaker 4: Not just yes, but heck yes, yes absolutely.
- 36:46Speaker 5: I love it.
- 36:47Speaker 6: And I wanted to bring this up too, because Morgan,
- 36:49Speaker 6: you are substantially younger than I am. I don't know
- 36:51Speaker 6: what yeah I do? What is what is retro?
- 36:54Speaker 2: To you?
- 36:55Speaker 6: When someone says to Morgan Robinson, what is retro? What
- 36:58Speaker 6: would you say? Because because I'm I want to throw
- 37:00Speaker 6: something out that's going to make you want to go
- 37:02Speaker 6: take a nap somewhere.
- 37:03Speaker 15: Go ahead.
- 37:03Speaker 7: This, Yeah, retro to me is like seventies and up.
- 37:06Speaker 9: Now.
- 37:06Speaker 8: I was raised on vinyl from fifties, sixties all that,
- 37:10Speaker 8: so I feel like I have a very wide catalog
- 37:12Speaker 8: in my brain. But when I think retro, I think seventies,
- 37:16Speaker 8: maybe sixties.
- 37:17Speaker 7: And and up to maybe eighty five.
- 37:21Speaker 8: I don't want to say ninety because then that makes
- 37:23Speaker 8: me feel like I need to take a nap.
- 37:24Speaker 6: I bring this up because this is not something that
- 37:27Speaker 6: people want to hear. But retro, of course, retro lies
- 37:32Speaker 6: within the ears, eyes, and head of the individual person. Yes,
- 37:35Speaker 6: but retro in its truest form of the word is
- 37:40Speaker 6: about twenty years ago. Shut up, same, So welcome to
- 37:43Speaker 6: the retro world of two thousand and four. No, that's
- 37:47Speaker 6: I mean, And seriously, seriously, when you talk about I mean,
- 37:50Speaker 6: and Jak's gonna do everything as he said from Elvis
- 37:53Speaker 6: to you know, the nineties and whatever. But retro in
- 37:57Speaker 6: its truest sense from it. And I take everything from
- 37:59Speaker 6: an average times in marketing standpoint, as I'm sure you
- 38:02Speaker 6: do as well. Yeah, it means about twenty years ago.
- 38:05Speaker 6: So so now two thousand and four, two thousand and
- 38:08Speaker 6: three to early two thousands, get your razor phone ready?
- 38:13Speaker 4: Is now retro your BlackBerry?
- 38:16Speaker 6: Yes?
- 38:17Speaker 8: Oh my gosh, Yeah, your slide start text and Nelly
- 38:20Speaker 8: on Excel like Kelly Rowland did in that video.
- 38:22Speaker 7: Oh my gosh.
- 38:23Speaker 8: So what I will say is that actually does make
- 38:26Speaker 8: sense because when you said it exists like within the
- 38:28Speaker 8: person's brain retro to me is twenty years before I
- 38:31Speaker 8: was born.
- 38:32Speaker 7: Okay, so that would make sense. I was born in
- 38:34Speaker 7: eighty three, so retro would be in the sixties.
- 38:36Speaker 4: That's not going to tell you when I was born.
- 38:40Speaker 4: We can't go there, sorry, JK.
- 38:42Speaker 6: And I have the headphones that were.
- 38:44Speaker 8: Made before, but I do like that, and I cannot
- 38:48Speaker 8: imagine going to any event called retro and listening to
- 38:51Speaker 8: like in Sync from two thousand and four.
- 38:54Speaker 7: Listen, I guess that's where we are.
- 38:55Speaker 4: We may hit that.
- 38:56Speaker 6: Listen. We just did one of the sponsors of our
- 38:59Speaker 6: studio here part our stores just did the They were
- 39:02Speaker 6: doing the Adelphia Summer Concerce series of Marietta and just
- 39:05Speaker 6: a couple of weeks ago they had people from bb MAC.
- 39:08Speaker 6: Chris Kirkpatrick from en Sync was there. Ryan Cabrera. I think,
- 39:14Speaker 6: and I mean, you've got to understand that people that
- 39:17Speaker 6: were listening to that music of your age.
- 39:20Speaker 7: We finally have money.
- 39:21Speaker 6: They're in their thirties and forties now we finally paid
- 39:24Speaker 6: off for Nobody wants to think about that, but it all,
- 39:27Speaker 6: it all changes, and you know, in what we are
- 39:31Speaker 6: talking in, the music and movies and television of today
- 39:34Speaker 6: will be retro in twenty years correct the mundo.
- 39:38Speaker 7: All right, I'm about to hang up these headphones.
- 39:39Speaker 6: And just where did this whole idea come from to
- 39:43Speaker 6: do retrofest?
- 39:44Speaker 16: Well, man, I just I love the chance to play
- 39:46Speaker 16: older music. A lot of the venues where I do
- 39:48Speaker 16: play they demand a more current lineup of songs, and
- 39:52Speaker 16: I thought, man, I would love to be able to
- 39:54Speaker 16: go to a venue and play some sixties and seventies
- 39:57Speaker 16: and maybe even stick a toe into the fifties waters.
- 40:00Speaker 16: But it's just exciting to me to be able to
- 40:02Speaker 16: play those genres because I just don't get the opportunity
- 40:06Speaker 16: to do so much anymore so. And let's face it,
- 40:09Speaker 16: where we are a rapidly aging and the median age
- 40:13Speaker 16: in this area is a little higher than I'd like
- 40:15Speaker 16: to admit, So I figured that would to go hand
- 40:17Speaker 16: in hand.
- 40:18Speaker 6: All right, do you want to throw this in there? Today?

- 46:56Speaker 8: a wonderful night celebrating some of the amazing female leaders
- 46:59Speaker 8: in our community. We had a fabulous panel prior to
- 47:02Speaker 8: the game where we talked about leadership, confidence building, self esteem,
- 47:06Speaker 8: things like that. Our panelists were Jess Hudson from Dress
- 47:09Speaker 8: for Success River Cities, which now has a Charleston location,

- 47:33Speaker 8: announcer in the State of West Virginia. So just an
- 47:36Speaker 8: all star panel which was absolutely amazing and great audience
- 47:40Speaker 8: as well. We had some amazing leaders in the audience
- 47:43Speaker 8: including Mayor Amy Goodwin, Beth Casey from the Girl Scouts,
- 47:47Speaker 8: the Women Westertian Women's Alliance.
- 47:49Speaker 6: So just we were serious thought it would be.
- 47:52Speaker 8: It was everything I thought it would be. Ammore I
- 47:54Speaker 8: would say, Charleston showed up. We had a great crowd.
- 47:57Speaker 8: As Jim was saying, we had wonderful weather a little bit,
- 48:00Speaker 8: but I'll take that over rain. And we were able
- 48:02Speaker 8: to acknowledge fourteen women in the community who are making difference,
- 48:06Speaker 8: including a nine year old from Putnam County who has
- 48:09Speaker 8: been working for three years on a lemonade stand that
- 48:13Speaker 8: she gives all the prosty to the Putnam County Animal Shelter.
- 48:16Speaker 6: Well, that's awesome.
- 48:17Speaker 8: I know at six years old she has a business
- 48:19Speaker 8: already that's benefiting animals throughout Petnham County.
- 48:22Speaker 7: And what was I doing at six picking my nose.
- 48:25Speaker 6: Perfectly, building your retrofest, building my retrofst memories. Speaking of

- 48:55Speaker 6: I think I'm gonna do sports Line live from there.
- 48:57Speaker 7: Oh that's uh.
- 48:58Speaker 6: And Tony will be joining us on the show on
- 49:00Speaker 6: Monday to talk about that it's a big event and

- 49:05Speaker 6: so we'll have Tony on the show on Monday. Also,
- 49:07Speaker 6: Chris Reid, who is a candidate for Congress in District one,
- 49:11Speaker 6: will be joining us on the show Monday as well.
- 49:13Speaker 6: I want to get back to this retro thing though. Yeah, okay,
- 49:16Speaker 6: all right, now you said you were you've already I
- 49:18Speaker 6: wasn't going to put your age out there, but you
- 49:20Speaker 6: were born in nineteen eighty three.
- 49:21Speaker 7: Eighty three, and what month were you born in February.
- 49:24Speaker 6: Okay, fabr of nineteen eighty three. I was in seventh grade, Okay,
- 49:27Speaker 6: all right, So I don't want to talk about Ryan
- 49:29Speaker 6: because I don't think Ryan was around in nineteen eighty three.
- 49:32Speaker 7: Hellace.
- 49:35Speaker 6: But again, everybody, and I have this discussion with people
- 49:39Speaker 6: all the time. People will say things like, well, that's
- 49:42Speaker 6: not really old why don't you play some oldies? And
- 49:45Speaker 6: we don't play music on this station, but well, you
- 49:48Speaker 6: know it's twenty years ago. That's what oldies are. If
- 49:50Speaker 6: you're going to do oldies right now, you're gonna be
- 49:51Speaker 6: playing early two thousands. And nobody wants to hear that.
- 49:54Speaker 6: But that's what it is.
- 49:55Speaker 7: Nobody wants to hear. But it's absolutely true. Age year's oldies.
- 49:59Speaker 8: Retro is re you know, it depends on who you are,
- 50:01Speaker 8: where you grew up, how you grew up, what.
- 50:03Speaker 7: You listened to, all those things. So yeah, but it does.
- 50:06Speaker 8: It gives me a high blood pressure and heartburn, which
- 50:08Speaker 8: I probably had already in addition.
- 50:10Speaker 6: To acid reflux and all the other things.
- 50:13Speaker 8: Instead of cracking open a beer during retrofest, I want
- 50:15Speaker 8: to be drinking insure. Like if two thousand and four
- 50:18Speaker 8: is considered retro by today's standards.
- 50:20Speaker 6: Then everything goes back basically twenty years. As I said,
- 50:23Speaker 6: And if you think about it, I'm a kid of
- 50:25Speaker 6: the seventies, Okay, that's when I was a kid. Was
- 50:28Speaker 6: in the seventies. The fifties were all the rage. You know,
- 50:30Speaker 6: Happy Days, shone on Off. You remember that there's an
- 50:34Speaker 6: old reference area Greece. You know that it was all
- 50:37Speaker 6: and then as we moved to the eighties, then they
- 50:41Speaker 6: had the anniversary of Woodstock in the Summer of Love,
- 50:43Speaker 6: and that was a big thing. So everything basically is
- 50:46Speaker 6: twenty Everybody you know romanticizes about what was twenty years ago.
- 50:51Speaker 6: Twenty years ago, folks was two thousand and four.
- 50:54Speaker 8: It is wild because and you're exactly right, you know,
- 50:56Speaker 8: growing up, I was a kid in the late eighties,
- 50:58Speaker 8: early nineties, and that seventies show, right, that was like
- 51:02Speaker 8: one of the huge shows back then.
- 51:03Speaker 7: We were starting to get in back.
- 51:05Speaker 8: Into like disco and abbat and like you said, we
- 51:07Speaker 8: had the Woodstock ninety nine as well, so we were
- 51:10Speaker 8: even pulling a little bit further.
- 51:12Speaker 7: But I don't know, we always looked back at the.
- 51:15Speaker 8: Past with rose collar glasses, especially when it comes to
- 51:17Speaker 8: pop culture.
- 51:18Speaker 6: It does, it does, and you look back in the
- 51:20Speaker 6: nineteen eighties, is this when I was a teenager graduated
- 51:23Speaker 6: from high school to nineteen eighty eight, And when you
- 51:24Speaker 6: look back, you think, gosh, the eighties was such a
- 51:27Speaker 6: good time. But but was it really?
- 51:28Speaker 8: It was?
- 51:29Speaker 2: It?
- 51:29Speaker 11: Really?
- 51:29Speaker 6: Was it?
- 51:30Speaker 2: Really?
- 51:30Speaker 6: I remember when we first we had our first VCR
- 51:33Speaker 6: and I thought it was the greatest thing. We paid
- 51:35Speaker 6: like two thousand dollars probably for it. We thought it
- 51:38Speaker 6: was the greatest thing in the world to be able
- 51:39Speaker 6: to record programs while you were watching one another and
- 51:43Speaker 6: then CDs and I was having a conversation and we'll
- 51:45Speaker 6: wrap it up with this with one of our sales weasels.
- 51:48Speaker 6: The other day, I said, one of the greatest days
- 51:50Speaker 6: of my life was when I got a dual cassette player,
- 51:53Speaker 6: because then I could make I could make my own mixtape.
- 51:55Speaker 7: That's what I was going to say. You can record
- 51:57Speaker 7: from the radio and make your mixtapes. It was absolutely amazing.
- 52:00Speaker 6: But I was the kid that was recording the commercials
- 52:02Speaker 6: and the jocks talking. I had no interest and I
- 52:04Speaker 6: had very little interest in the music. I was so
- 52:07Speaker 6: all right, we gotta go live on the Levee tonight
- 52:10Speaker 6: at six point thirty had that Riverfront Park. Moses Auto
- 52:13Speaker 6: Group Live of the Levee. Retro Fest is tomorrow in Charleston,
- 52:16Speaker 6: and tomorrow you're invited, Morgan, if you want to come out.
- 52:19Speaker 6: All of our stations are going to be an eight
- 52:20Speaker 6: to zy outlet in Saint Albans with par of Mars stores.
- 52:22Speaker 6: We're gonna give away five hundred gallons of free gasoline.
- 52:26Speaker 6: I had to get that gasoline here. Let me tell
- 52:28Speaker 6: you it's hard hauling all those all those gas cans
- 52:30Speaker 6: down here. All right, we gotta go. Tony Coreedy on
- 52:33Speaker 6: the show Monday, as well as several other things. Chris Reid,
- 52:37Speaker 6: Canada for Congress will be on the show. Hi yourself
