- 0:17Speaker 1: Hey, the whole tis amy and today here and we
- 0:19Speaker 1: wanted to wish you a very happy Fourth of July.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Might have heard it's big two hundred and fiftieth this year,
- 0:26Speaker 1: where it's kind of a big birthday.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Yeah, this is probably the biggest Fourth of July will
- 0:30Speaker 2: ever celebrate, and we're going to get to do it together.
- 0:33Speaker 2: We have big plans. We're gonna just be looking at
- 0:36Speaker 2: our window.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Yeah, our big plans are to stay home and do nothing.
- 0:39Speaker 1: We're actually doing something that's very cool this year. The
- 0:43Speaker 1: Parade of Ships. This year the Fleet Week they moved up.
- 0:46Speaker 1: We get to look out our window and watch all
- 0:48Speaker 1: these beautiful ships go by members of the military and
- 0:51Speaker 1: honor them and then ropes. There's a fireworks displayed that's
- 0:55Speaker 1: going to happen, and we might have the best view
- 0:57Speaker 1: in the city.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Yes, that's right. We just so happened to have a
- 1:00Speaker 2: view of the Statue of Liberty and the Hudson. We
- 1:03Speaker 2: feel very lucky. So we will have front row seats
- 1:07Speaker 2: to apparently what's going to be one of the biggest
- 1:10Speaker 2: fireworks displays ever on the Fourth of July. We were
- 1:13Speaker 2: going to have a bunch of people over, but then
- 1:15Speaker 2: we were told that my daughter is having a competing party.
- 1:19Speaker 2: So we'll see how many we end up with and
- 1:21Speaker 2: how many she ends up with.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Gotta be honest with you, I was happy to hear
- 1:24Speaker 1: that those all those folks were at a competing party.
- 1:26Speaker 2: When you say folks, you mean like rowdy early twenty somethings.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Well, you know people that eat you out of and
- 1:32Speaker 1: drink you out of house.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I eat you, drink you.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Out of here.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Yeah, those folks. So we got lucky. So our big
- 1:37Speaker 1: plan is boils down to this.
- 1:40Speaker 2: We're staying home, yes, popcorn and champagne and sitting on
- 1:43Speaker 2: the couch watching the fireworks right outside our window.
- 1:46Speaker 1: And some people might be doing it in all kinds
- 1:48Speaker 1: of different ways out at cookouts, family gathering something we
- 1:51Speaker 1: both kind of grew up with, and a lot of
- 1:53Speaker 1: people might be in DC as well. But wherever you
- 1:55Speaker 1: might be, we certainly wish you ate very happy and
- 1:59Speaker 1: a very safe birthday party for the US.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yes, Happy two hundred and fiftieth America.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Hey, iHeartRadio. Happy fourth of July. It's Kelly ben Simone.

- 2:44Speaker 4: my celebration.

- 2:49Speaker 7: We are going to be in the Hamptons.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Yes, I can't wait.
- 2:52Speaker 4: I wanted to be in an area where, you know,
- 2:54Speaker 4: where my kids grew up, and just something that's really
- 2:57Speaker 4: like reflective of like who we are as a fan
- 3:00Speaker 4: family celebrating this beautiful birthday.
- 3:02Speaker 5: What's kind of your favorite Fourth of July tradition?
- 3:06Speaker 4: I love fireworks My one of my favorite traditions. I
- 3:09Speaker 4: love fireworks. My oldest daughter used to call them fireworkings,
- 3:12Speaker 4: and I just always call them fireworkings because of that.
- 3:15Speaker 6: And I just.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Really love just family and friends together just because you
- 3:22Speaker 4: were celebrating this great holiday weekend and it's like it's
- 3:25Speaker 4: really one of those holidays where people don't really fight.
- 3:28Speaker 4: No one's fighting about the cooking, no one's fighting about family.
- 3:31Speaker 4: It's just people are just like, hey, happy Fourth.
- 3:34Speaker 7: I'm like, yeah, you too.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a very it's a very easy, breezy holiday.
- 3:39Speaker 5: It's very me it is. You've got a cute little dog,
- 3:45Speaker 5: Tarzan does. Tarzan like the fireworks.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Tarzan does not like the fireworks, but he definitely likes
- 3:50Speaker 4: the hot dogs.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Speaking of hot dogs, what's your favorite Fourth of July food?
- 3:57Speaker 4: I'm a big chicken nugget kind of person.
- 4:00Speaker 2: So chicken nuggets, I know, I love.
- 4:03Speaker 7: Kids chicken nuggets. I'm like, I'll take some of those.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Anything I'm not allowed to have, that's what I want.
- 4:09Speaker 4: I don't want steak, I don't want your hot dogs.
- 4:11Speaker 4: I want like kid's chicken nugget, any kid's food.
- 4:14Speaker 5: You know what I think is a quintessential Fourth of
- 4:16Speaker 5: July food?
- 4:18Speaker 7: What is it?
- 4:19Speaker 3: Potato salad? I love potato salad. Why do we only
- 4:23Speaker 3: eat potato salad in the summertime? We should be eating
- 4:27Speaker 3: potato salad in the wintertime.
- 4:29Speaker 5: I love it.
- 4:31Speaker 7: It is definite vibe.
- 4:32Speaker 4: So is corn of the cob.
- 4:33Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm quite a big chicken nugget person.
- 4:36Speaker 5: I learned something new about you all the time. Chicken.
- 4:39Speaker 6: Have you met me?
- 4:39Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm like, I'm literally like, elf, I'm this
- 4:43Speaker 4: child in this adult's body.
- 4:47Speaker 3: So you're hanging out with the fam this fourth July.
- 4:49Speaker 3: I love that you're in the Hampton's. It's gorgeous, it's easy, breezy.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Just speaking hypothetically, would you ever have a first date
- 4:58Speaker 3: on the fourth of July?
- 5:00Speaker 4: Would I bring a guy to a Fourth of July
- 5:03Speaker 4: party and it was our first date?
- 5:05Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 5:05Speaker 5: Would you ever do that?
- 5:06Speaker 4: I mean if I kind of like saw him at
- 5:08Speaker 4: the hardware store and I'm like, you're hot, Like, okay,
- 5:12Speaker 4: why not? I mean my kids, My kids would be
- 5:15Speaker 4: like mom, I'd be like, girls, who care? Is our
- 5:21Speaker 4: older I met? I met a cowboy at home depot.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Why can't I bring some guy that met the hardware
- 5:26Speaker 4: store to Fourth July party?
- 5:29Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 5:29Speaker 3: Would you be scouting this Fourth of July? Are you looking?
- 5:33Speaker 3: Where are you right now in the dating landscape?
- 5:36Speaker 8: You mean?
- 5:36Speaker 4: Am I going to hardware stores all across No?
- 5:41Speaker 3: But like listen, fourth of July a lot of people
- 5:44Speaker 3: parties hanging out at the beach, like, are you looking?
- 5:48Speaker 5: Are you talking to somebody already?
- 5:50Speaker 7: What?
- 5:51Speaker 3: We haven't gotten an update on your dating status in
- 5:54Speaker 3: a minute, right.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Okay, So here's the update on my dating. I am
- 5:59Speaker 4: now open to really dating. I just finished filming a
- 6:03Speaker 4: new show and i just feel really good about my
- 6:07Speaker 4: life and I'm just very relaxed and I am open
- 6:13Speaker 4: to you know, meeting you know, just different kinds of people.
- 6:18Speaker 4: I always had this thing in my head, Heather. Before
- 6:20Speaker 4: it was like when I got divorced. Originally I was like,
- 6:22Speaker 4: I want to get married now when I have more kids.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Like I was like marriage and kids, marriaging kids. And
- 6:26Speaker 4: then I was like, Okay, maybe I should get married.
- 6:28Speaker 4: And then I'm like that after all of that, now
- 6:31Speaker 4: I'm just like, I just want to enjoy my life.
- 6:34Speaker 4: And I feel like because I'm open to that kind
- 6:39Speaker 4: of those feelings, I've you know, I've been meeting some
- 6:42Speaker 4: really nice people, really really nice people, nice gentlemen. But
- 6:48Speaker 4: I am open to a guy from a hardware store.
- 6:50Speaker 5: I love it. Happy Hunting this fourth of July.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Happy Hunting, have a wonderful holiday and.
- 6:58Speaker 5: Have a happy fourth Kelly.
- 7:00Speaker 6: Thanks Heather, you too, happy.
- 7:01Speaker 7: For Hey guys.
- 7:12Speaker 9: Happy Fourth of July at Cheryl Burke from I Do
- 7:15Speaker 9: Part Two And I Am gonna just be relaxing with
- 7:19Speaker 9: my dog. My parents are coming in from out of
- 7:21Speaker 9: town to visit me, and we're gonna watch a bunch
- 7:23Speaker 9: of fireworks and eat lots of barbecue because you know,
- 7:28Speaker 9: this is my car blowed up day, so we just
- 7:31Speaker 9: eat whatever we want and then regret it the next day.
- 7:34Speaker 6: So obviously I'm a dog mom.
- 7:35Speaker 9: And my dog actually doesn't even flinch when it comes
- 7:39Speaker 9: to fireworks, which kind of scares me. I had to
- 7:42Speaker 9: get her hearing check, but she's really chill. She'll just
- 7:46Speaker 9: eat the crumbs from our barbecue that we're gonna most
- 7:48Speaker 9: likely have, and she will just she said, happy dog.
- 7:52Speaker 7: She's a happy but spoiled dog. So she will need walks.
- 7:55Speaker 7: We'll do like two long walks. Then we're gonna hit
- 7:58Speaker 7: the streets and go to the movie theater.
- 8:00Speaker 9: So other things that I'm excited for this Fourth of
- 8:02Speaker 9: July is just to really spend time with my family.
- 8:06Speaker 9: My stepdad, he loves watching anything to do with like
- 8:09Speaker 9: aliens or murder, so we're either going to watch a
- 8:14Speaker 9: bunch of documentaries on Netflix at my house, or we're
- 8:18Speaker 9: going to go to the movie theater, which I haven't
- 8:20Speaker 9: been to a movie theater since before COVID.
- 8:21Speaker 7: I'm not even kidding.
- 8:22Speaker 5: And we're going to watch Disclosure.
- 8:24Speaker 9: I think it's a Steven Spielberg movie about how there
- 8:26Speaker 9: are aliens currently on this planet Earth.
- 8:30Speaker 7: So that'suld be interesting. So happy for.
- 8:36Speaker 10: Hey, it's Kathy and Joan and we're here talking about
- 8:40Speaker 10: the fourth of July.
- 8:41Speaker 6: What are you up to, Joan for this fourth?
- 8:44Speaker 7: Uh?
- 8:45Speaker 8: Well, you know I live in DC, so we have
- 8:48Speaker 8: a huge celebration going on. We bought tickets. We're going
- 8:52Speaker 8: down to the National Mall. There. There are tons of activities,
- 8:56Speaker 8: but I'll tell you like my favorite, other than the fireworks,
- 8:59Speaker 8: which I love fire works, I think everybody does. They're
- 9:02Speaker 8: doing a big flyover, so there's gonna be f sixteens
- 9:05Speaker 8: and like all the new aircraft, the Blue Angels are
- 9:07Speaker 8: coming so that's gonna go on all day. So we're
- 9:10Speaker 8: going down early and bringing my two grandsons, my daughter
- 9:13Speaker 8: and her husband. It's their kids. The five of us
- 9:16Speaker 8: are going. I'm gonna be the fifth wheel, but I'm
- 9:17Speaker 8: okay with that because they're gonna need help for those
- 9:19Speaker 8: little babies and yeah, we're going down the mall, National Mall, DC.
- 9:23Speaker 8: Here a come, how about you?
- 9:25Speaker 6: Well, this is a big one. It's two hundred and
- 9:26Speaker 6: fifty years. I think.
- 9:28Speaker 10: My favorite thing this year, I of course always go
- 9:31Speaker 10: and watch the fireworks. I go on like Austin with
- 9:35Speaker 10: friends and they shoot them off and it's beautiful over
- 9:37Speaker 10: the water.
- 9:39Speaker 6: But you know what I love the most about Fourth
- 9:42Speaker 6: of July.
- 9:43Speaker 10: It's it's the one day where everyone's patriotic. It's Americana.
- 9:49Speaker 10: Everybody's red, white and blue. Everyone has the parade, small
- 9:53Speaker 10: town parades, hamburgers, hot dogs.
- 9:56Speaker 6: Family.
- 9:56Speaker 10: To me, it's just it's it's you know they say
- 9:59Speaker 10: Chris miss in July. It's that. To me, It's so
- 10:03Speaker 10: much about family and friends and just spending time together.
- 10:07Speaker 8: And it makes you so proud. I'm just so proud
- 10:10Speaker 8: of our nation if you think about how it evolved
- 10:13Speaker 8: and how where it all started, and those super wise
- 10:16Speaker 8: men who wrote that constitution, that we still live by
- 10:19Speaker 8: those words and they keep us, you know, on the
- 10:21Speaker 8: straight and arrow.
- 10:22Speaker 6: I love that.
- 10:23Speaker 8: I'm so proud of our country. I'm so proud to
- 10:24Speaker 8: say that I'm American always and.
- 10:28Speaker 10: And yet We're only two hundred and fifty years old,
- 10:31Speaker 10: and when you look at countries in Europe, we've come
- 10:33Speaker 10: a long way.
- 10:34Speaker 6: Baby, we have come. Okay, what is your favorite thing
- 10:38Speaker 6: to eat down on the fourth of July?
- 10:40Speaker 4: Oh?
- 10:40Speaker 8: God, Like, it's such an American holiday. It's American like
- 10:43Speaker 8: burgers and hotdogs and apple pie and watermelon. And you
- 10:48Speaker 8: know somebody will make one of those big sheet cakes
- 10:50Speaker 8: that looks like the flag with the strawberries and wipperies.
- 10:53Speaker 6: I have to have it.
- 10:54Speaker 8: That's just part of the day.
- 10:56Speaker 10: Okay, I gotta tell you everything. I'm with you one
- 10:58Speaker 10: hundred percent. Hams have you gotta have the potato chips
- 11:01Speaker 10: and the dyl ralish. You have to have that apple
- 11:04Speaker 10: pie ice cream. The one thing I got it. You're
- 11:07Speaker 10: gonna laugh. Do you know the one thing I never
- 11:10Speaker 10: eat and clothing I never eat on the fourth of
- 11:13Speaker 10: July is watermelon. Don't like it?
- 11:15Speaker 8: You don't like watermelon. I'm obsessed with watermelon.
- 11:18Speaker 6: No, everyone is. In fact, I have.
- 11:20Speaker 8: I just looked at an Instagram post about how to
- 11:22Speaker 8: pick a good watermelon, and I like studied it. I'm like,
- 11:25Speaker 8: because you know, when you get home, you have a
- 11:26Speaker 8: new watermelon. You cut it open and it's bad. It's
- 11:29Speaker 8: so mad. So now I think I know how to
- 11:31Speaker 8: pick out the perfect watermelon. DM me. If you want
- 11:34Speaker 8: to know, I have the whole I have the whole
- 11:35Speaker 8: Instagram thing. So I'm a huge watermelon person.
- 11:38Speaker 10: Okay, Well, the only thing I like about watermelons is
- 11:42Speaker 10: when you throw me to a pool and they're greased
- 11:44Speaker 10: and you have to score a goal.
- 11:45Speaker 8: You know, I know, it's hilarious. I used to lifeguard
- 11:48Speaker 8: and I did that one time and one of the
- 11:51Speaker 8: kids almost dround. I had to jump in and save them.
- 11:53Speaker 8: So we don't do that anymore.
- 11:54Speaker 10: Okay, so let's so eat the watermelon, do not drive
- 11:57Speaker 10: on the pool. Okay, Joe, I know you're with Chop,
- 12:01Speaker 10: but would you ever ever have had a date, And
- 12:07Speaker 10: you can ask me the same question on the fourth
- 12:08Speaker 10: of July?
- 12:09Speaker 6: Would you ever do a first date on the fourth
- 12:10Speaker 6: of July.
- 12:11Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm trying to figure out why you wouldn't. It's
- 12:13Speaker 8: such a fun it would be such a fun date.
- 12:16Speaker 8: I mean it's kind of like ironic. It's Independence Day,
- 12:19Speaker 8: and yeah, maybe seeking not being independent, But other than
- 12:23Speaker 8: that irony, I think it's like there's so much to
- 12:26Speaker 8: do and and like it's kind of like a no
- 12:28Speaker 8: pressure date. You already know where it's going to end up. Oh,
- 12:32Speaker 8: fire works, until you know ten o'clock at night, and
- 12:34Speaker 8: then you're both gonna be tired and you're gonna go okay,
- 12:37Speaker 8: So about you.
- 12:38Speaker 10: Well, you know, I can see both sides of the same,
- 12:41Speaker 10: you know, fifty cent piece, here's the deal.
- 12:44Speaker 6: On the one hand, yes, why wouldn't you want to
- 12:46Speaker 6: go on a date? Why wouldn't I want to go
- 12:48Speaker 6: on a first date on the fourth of July?
- 12:50Speaker 10: Here's the problem for me, Mostly it's with family and
- 12:55Speaker 10: can you imagine going on a first date and rolling
- 12:59Speaker 10: them in with my kids, my grandkids. So I couldn't
- 13:03Speaker 10: do a first date because I spent it with my kids.
- 13:08Speaker 6: So I would not do a first date. But I
- 13:10Speaker 6: agree with you.
- 13:11Speaker 10: It's a great idea because so much is going on,
- 13:14Speaker 10: you don't feel the pressure of having to, you know,
- 13:18Speaker 10: get into serious conversation. You could just have fun, but
- 13:22Speaker 10: not around my kids, not my grand kids, not a
- 13:25Speaker 10: first day.
- 13:26Speaker 8: Totally agree with you. I think at this point in
- 13:27Speaker 8: my life I feel the same way that I would
- 13:29Speaker 8: never do a first date. And you know exactly that
- 13:32Speaker 8: you couldn't do it in front of your family, but
- 13:35Speaker 8: what a great one when we were younger would have been.
- 13:37Speaker 8: I don't think I ever did one. Did you ever
- 13:39Speaker 8: do one? I think I ever went on a first July?
- 13:42Speaker 10: Well, well, remember I was married forever. So no, I
- 13:45Speaker 10: never did have a first date on the fourth of July.
- 13:47Speaker 6: But I do.
- 13:49Speaker 10: I'm so looking forward to this one because I really
- 13:52Speaker 10: do feel like it's going to be an amazing celebration
- 13:56Speaker 10: of our countries.
- 13:57Speaker 8: I remember, I bet you do too.
- 13:59Speaker 6: Nineteen, I sure do.
- 14:02Speaker 8: Two hundred and I were, you know, announcing our age
- 14:05Speaker 8: the world that we're old enough to remember that. I was,
- 14:09Speaker 8: you know, I was thirteen, and I remember it perfectly.
- 14:12Speaker 8: I remember going to a prey down in DC with
- 14:14Speaker 8: my parents and staying and watching the fireworks.
- 14:16Speaker 10: I also went to the fireworks, but I'm from Boston,
- 14:20Speaker 10: and you know they have the tall ships and they did.
- 14:23Speaker 6: The thing going through the harbor.
- 14:25Speaker 10: Its just again, I just have to run this out
- 14:29Speaker 10: by saying that fourth of July is the time when
- 14:33Speaker 10: not only can you be patriotic, it feels great to
- 14:36Speaker 10: be patriotic on the fourth of July.
- 14:38Speaker 8: I agree, We're all proud. No matter where we stand
- 14:40Speaker 8: with the politics, we're all proud to be Americans.
- 14:42Speaker 6: Get out your red, white, and blue. Get ready for
- 14:44Speaker 6: the day.
- 14:45Speaker 8: I have male get already ready. Enjoy your fourth I'm sorry,
- 14:48Speaker 8: I'm not going to be we can't be together.
- 14:51Speaker 10: Well we will, but we'll see each other soon. Happy
- 14:53Speaker 10: fourth jown to you and your family.
- 14:55Speaker 8: You too, Bye, sweetie.
- 15:00Speaker 7: It
