Nintendo Reveals Digital Sales Up 90% Compared To Last Year, Switch 2 Units Top 23 Million, And More
Nintendo has released its latest financial earnings report, covering the first quarter of the fiscal year, which encompasses April through June 2026. In it, the company has revealed that digital sales revenue is up 90% year-over-year, that the Switch 2 sold nearly 4 million units in those three months, and that, unsurprisingly, Mario Kart World continues to be the best-selling game on the console. According to Nintendo, digital sales totaled 132.7 billion yen (or roughly $837 million), up 90% year-on-year, "mainly due to an increase in sales of downloadable versions of packaged software."…
