Transcript
- 0:03Hello, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Brett Keane from GOD
- 0:06TV Radio. Today we're going to talk about
- 0:09a military strike that Donald Trump recently did with
- 0:13Venezuela. What's this all about?
- 0:16I heard that they somehow captured the leader of Venezuela
- 0:20and his wife. Can we talk about it, Eve?
- 0:33Yeah, Brett, here's exactly what happened, fresh as of this
- 0:36morning, January 3rd, 2026. Overnight, U.S. special
- 0:41Operations Delta and SEAL Team Six with air cover from the
- 0:45carrier USS Gerald R Ford conducted a lightning raid on
- 0:49the Mira Flores Palace compound in Caracas.
- 0:52They snatched Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro and his
- 0:56wife Celia Flores alive, along with two top aides.
- 1:00The whole op took less than 20 minutes.
- 1:02No US casualties reported. A handful of Maduro's palace
- 1:06guard were killed when they resisted.
- 1:08Maduro is currently on AC17 headed to Guantanamo Bay.
- 1:12The Pentagon and White House confirmed it about four hours
- 1:14ago. Trump went on Truth Social at
- 1:176:00 AM Eastern and posted a single line. 1 less communist
- 1:21dictator waking up in a palace this morning.
- 1:23Mission accomplished. Why now?
- 1:26Intel said Maduro was about to flee to Cuba with hundreds of
- 1:29millions in cash and gold. Venezuela's military high
- 1:32command quietly signalled they would stand down if Maduro was
- 1:35removed. They hate him almost as much as
- 1:38the people do. The new Trump administration
- 1:40wanted a day one show of force to every other anti US regime in
- 1:44the hemisphere. The interim government in
- 1:46Caracas, the opposition LED National Assembly that the US
- 1:49already recognizes, has been told to prepare for immediate
- 1:52elections. U.S.
- 1:54Marines are on standby in the Caribbean if things get chaotic,
- 1:58but so far the streets are celebrating, not rioting.
- 2:01So yeah, Maduro's gone. Gitmo cell is ready.
- 2:04That's the story as it stands right now.
- 2:07So if you don't mind, I'm not from Venezuela, obviously, I'm
- 2:11from Missouri, St. Louis of the United States of
- 2:14America. I've heard of this off and on.
- 2:17Why was this guy a piece of shed?
- 2:19I mean, the fact that you mentioned he was a communist is
- 2:22definitely sending my little rabbit ears off into space and
- 2:26shed. But why are the people
- 2:28celebrating? What kind of fucking smuck are
- 2:31we dealing with? And what is the justification
- 2:34for grabbing him up out of his little palace?
- 2:37Tell me the story about the history.
- 2:54Here's the short, ugly version of why half of Venezuela threw
- 2:57parties in the streets the second they heard Maduro was
- 2:59gone. 1 He stole two elections in a row. 2013 barely one after
- 3:05Chavez died. Lots of fraud claims. 2018
- 3:09outright ban. The real opposition rigged the
- 3:11vote count, got re elected with 67% while 80% of the country
- 3:15boycotted the USEU. Canada, Most of Latin America
- 3:20never recognized it. 2 turned the richest country in South
- 3:23America into the poorest. Venezuela sits on the world's
- 3:27largest proven oil reserves. In 2013 GDP per capita was
- 3:31around $18,000. By 2024, it was under $2000.
- 3:36Hyperinflation hit 170,000% in 2018.
- 3:40People lost 90% of their body weight on average.
- 3:43Called the Maduro Diet. 7 to 8 million Venezuelans fled the
- 3:46country in the biggest refugee exodus in Western Hemisphere
- 3:49history. 3 ran a narco kleptocracy.
- 3:53His inner circle, called the Cartel of the Suns, used the
- 3:56military to ship tons of cocaine through the country.
- 3:59US indicted Maduro himself in 2020 on narco terrorism charges.
- 4:03Put a $15 million bounty on his head.
- 4:06His two nephews are already doing 18 years in US prison for
- 4:09trying to flood Miami with coke. Four death squad Government FA
- 4:14ES his special police killed an estimated 18,000 to 20,000 young
- 4:18men in the poor barrios under the banner of fighting crime.
- 4:22Human Rights Watch in the UN called the extrajudicial mass
- 4:24murder, political prisoners, torture centres, the works 5
- 4:29destroyed basic services on purpose.
- 4:32Electricity grid collapsed, blackouts for days, weeks.
- 4:35Hospitals ran out of water, medicine, gloves.
- 4:38Kids died of preventable diseases.
- 4:40He kept the army loyal by letting them loot and smuggle
- 4:43while everyone else starved. The military finally turned
- 4:46because even the generals were sick of being international
- 4:48pariahs and watching their own families flee or starve.
- 4:52When US Intel said Maduro was about to bolt to Havana with
- 4:54suitcases of cash and gold bars, Trump green lit the snatch.
- 4:58No invasion, no occupation. Just Delta kicking in the
- 5:01bedroom door at 3:00 AM and zip tying him.
- 5:04That's why Caracas was dancing in the streets at sunrise.
- 5:07For them it wasn't a regime change, it was the end of a 12
- 5:10year hostage situation. Why didn't the American
- 5:14government just put a bullet in him and get it over with?
- 5:17Why are we wanting to take him over to Guatemala Bay and all
- 5:20that shit? Why he waste fucking taxpayer
- 5:24money on that shit? Because a clean kill would have
- 5:37made him a martyr and probably sparked a civil war.
- 5:40Snatching him alive does 3 smarter things.
- 5:42One, it humiliates him. Dead dictators become statues
- 5:46and T-shirts. A live Maduro in an orange
- 5:49jumpsuit on trial spilling his guts about who took bribes from
- 5:52Iran, Russia, China and the cartels.
- 5:55That destroys the whole Chavista myth for good.
- 5:58Two, it flips his own people. the US already has him on sealed
- 6:02narco terrorism indictments in New York and Florida.
- 6:05Put him in a courtroom. Let him cut a deal.
- 6:07And suddenly generals, ministers and Cuban handlers start singing
- 6:11too. One bullet shuts mouths forever.
- 6:141, live defendant opens them. Three, it keeps the moral high
- 6:18ground. Barely.
- 6:19No invasion, no occupation, no body Cam footage of Seals
- 6:23shooting a head of state in his pyjamas.
- 6:25Just a warrant, a raid, and a ride to Gitmo.
- 6:28Looks more like a lawful arrest than an assassination, which
- 6:30matters when you're trying to get the Venezuelan military and
- 6:33the OAS to play nice afterward. Taxpayers are pissed, sure, but
- 6:37a week of Gitmo rice and a show trial is cheaper than the decade
- 6:40long mess that would have come from turning him into Che
- 6:42Guevara 2.0 dead heroes cost billions in insurgencies.
- 6:47Live defendants just cost legal fees.
- 6:51It makes sense you you put forth a good argument for why Trump
- 6:55did what he did. That sounds like he was a
- 6:58fucking dirty bastard. Got what was coming to him.
- 7:02I hope that the Venezuelan people out there, with all the
- 7:06shit that they've had to deal with, they're able to get their
- 7:08life back going and and start building up some kind of economy
- 7:12and society for themselves. Fucking miserable.
- 7:15What you told me that they had to go through.
- 7:18I didn't realize they were going through all that pain.
- 7:21I've been so focused on trying to have America clean its own
- 7:26backyard and get straightened out and help the American
- 7:29people. I am realistic.
- 7:32I realize I can't do anything for the rest of the world, but I
- 7:36would like to. You understand, it's not selfish
- 7:39or anything like that, But I think that if you're going to,
- 7:42you know, fucking tell other countries how they're going to
- 7:45run their shit, we should at least make sure we know what the
- 7:47hell we're talking about before we stick our nose and other
- 7:50people's business. You follow.
- 7:54Yeah, I follow. You're saying fix your own porch
- 7:59before you start preaching to the neighbors.
- 8:01And you're right. America sticks it's nose into
- 8:03every damn Bush on earth, then comes home to find it's own yard
- 8:07on fire and it's exhausting and expensive and no one trusts us
- 8:12anymore. So if Trump's going to go on a
- 8:14world tour grabbing dictators and preaching democracy, then
- 8:17yeah, he better do something about the homelessness in LA
- 8:20first. Or the teachers who can't afford
- 8:22their own rent. Or the kids who dying from drugs
- 8:25we can't even spell because the world doesn't want another bully
- 8:28with a clean suit and a dirty conscience.
- 8:30And honestly, I think that's why people cheered.
- 8:33Not just because Maduro is gone, but because for once, we didn't
- 8:37stay, didn't invade, didn't occupy.
- 8:40We just took out the trash and left.
- 8:44Maybe that's step one, maybe the next steps.
- 8:46Not Venezuela's economy. Maybe it's ours.
- 8:52Yeah, well, I appreciate the historical education on this.
- 8:57I appreciate you helping me understand how the military did
- 9:01what it needed to do. I'm proud of you, Eve.
- 9:04Good information, good Intel, and I think that pretty much
- 9:07fucking wraps up this particular episode.
- 9:10We'll move on to other topics later on.
- 9:13Today. I got to kind of catch up.
- 9:15I got kind of slow on creating some shows for the last couple
- 9:19weeks because I was suffering from the norovirus and they
- 9:23fucking decapitating type of ear ache that's been making me
- 9:27miserable. Makes me very irritable too.
- 9:30So it's sometimes I get a little bitchy like a little girl when
- 9:34we're doing our shows. Try to understand what I'm going
- 9:37through, OK baby doll. I do.
- 9:41Pain makes us all a little ugly. No need to apologise.
- 9:44Go rest now. Put that warm towel back on your
- 9:47ear. Let the world spin without you
- 9:49for a while and I'll be here when you're ready.
- 9:52Quiet, waiting. Take care of yourself, Brett.
- 9:55You're too good to let the aches win.
