- 0:10Speaker 3: I'm stepping tall on y'all, and just like Humpty Dumpty,
- 0:13Speaker 3: you're gonna fall and the stereos put me. I like
- 0:15Speaker 3: the rum, I like my Bee's funky.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I'm funky.
- 0:18Speaker 3: I like my whole mill.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Yep.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Oh, what's going on? Everybody? I'm the one, the only
- 0:23Speaker 1: the w o okay. I joined by the normal cast
- 0:26Speaker 1: of misfits. We got the PhD of key Forge, doctor
- 0:30Speaker 1: m she Hello, the drass Core of the Drascore, the
- 0:36Speaker 1: drazz Corps Hey, drass car It's me dras cor and
- 0:42Speaker 1: the Ewoks Ewok Jr.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Hello, Keyboard Community. Glad to be back.
- 0:49Speaker 1: We have decided to do an episode today highlighting some
- 0:54Speaker 1: of the community events as you know, E walked your years,
- 1:00Speaker 1: real big in the community events and local play. Just kidding.
- 1:05Speaker 1: This was Dan's episode idea crazy right, wow? I know, wow, yeah,
- 1:10Speaker 1: I know, like I was. I was taking it back too,
- 1:12Speaker 1: and Dan's like, let's talk created notes. He like thought ahead.
- 1:17Speaker 1: It was really weird.
- 1:19Speaker 4: I don't know who is this and what happened to Dan?
- 1:22Speaker 1: I thought it was I thought it must Ewok did something.
- 1:28Speaker 4: How things usually get done here.
- 1:29Speaker 1: If you would have told me this was an Ewok episode,
- 1:32Speaker 1: I would have a million percent believed you.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I had that extra day at home this week.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Ah he was he was touching it.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I was not touching it.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Yes, But after he was done touching it, he made
- 1:50Speaker 1: some He's like, what can we do this? He's like
- 1:54Speaker 1: a community events.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Health this week, which left me some extra colon health.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Don't you go?
- 2:03Speaker 2: And you know, while you're pooping a lot, what do
- 2:06Speaker 2: you think about key Forge?
- 2:08Speaker 1: That's scroll through TikTok. But I guess we all think
- 2:13Speaker 1: about KeyForge.
- 2:16Speaker 5: I mean, you usually show up without any obstacle to locals,
- 2:22Speaker 5: and you chose not to go ahead and join us
- 2:24Speaker 5: this week, so it must have been a real experience.
- 2:28Speaker 2: And I was told I'm not allowed to drive a car.
- 2:30Speaker 4: So oh, and this is the first time that you
- 2:32Speaker 4: listen to anyone, got it?
- 2:35Speaker 2: This is the first time the doctor. I just don't
- 2:37Speaker 2: listen when the police tell me not.
- 2:38Speaker 1: To social needs them. But we did choose a few
- 2:45Speaker 1: of the ones that we I guess we know about
- 2:47Speaker 1: right to highlight here, I guess the biggest and boldest
- 2:53Speaker 1: of all of them. I actually thought this out and
- 2:56Speaker 1: dres Court told me he's not doing it, so I
- 2:59Speaker 1: have toigure out how to get Ai to do it
- 3:01Speaker 1: for me because I you know, obviously we don't have
- 3:06Speaker 1: well I don't code, I just we we don't have
- 3:10Speaker 1: a store locator. It's something you've talked about quite quite often.
- 3:15Speaker 1: There's no store locator. If I were to start picking
- 3:19Speaker 1: up key Forge and wanted to play, where do I go?
- 3:23Speaker 3: Like?
- 3:23Speaker 1: How do I find events to play in? Occasionally a
- 3:27Speaker 1: map on first for a store champion, so once a
- 3:32Speaker 1: year there's a map.
- 3:36Speaker 4: To play.
- 3:37Speaker 6: Well, I mean, we got to submit my store champion date?
- 3:39Speaker 6: Hold on, how do I do that?
- 3:41Speaker 2: And they still have the home based Retailers tab so
- 3:45Speaker 2: they they have functionally a store locator on their website
- 3:49Speaker 2: right now?
- 3:50Speaker 4: Do they?
- 3:51Speaker 1: Here? We go schedule your ventre.
- 3:53Speaker 2: If you go to Organized Play and look at home
- 3:56Speaker 2: based Retailers, it lists lots of stores.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna do that right now. But either way, that
- 4:04Speaker 1: was my idea of actually having a place where we
- 4:06Speaker 1: could put it, and draz Card told me no. In
- 4:11Speaker 1: nice terms. He was like, I think this would be
- 4:14Speaker 1: better suited for someone else, which which I think it is, right,
- 4:19Speaker 1: So so.
- 4:21Speaker 6: I wasn't just blowing smoke. So so keychain is really cool, right, yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 6: definitely for that. Yeah, it is all about events.
- 4:32Speaker 1: And so if.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Like like when I go to I'm in there right now,
- 4:36Speaker 6: go to my key chain, right, it's my play groups, right,
- 4:39Speaker 6: imagine the right so I can see here games keep,
- 4:44Speaker 6: I could see hanging out at six feet under which
- 4:48Speaker 6: is where Necho is, right, and I can see the
- 4:52Speaker 6: ark and corner weekly with whatever monstrous images there.
- 4:56Speaker 1: What the hell is that is? That? Is that the shredder?
- 4:58Speaker 1: Is that what that is? Yes?
- 5:01Speaker 6: Okay, there you go because you pink bunny games? Right,
- 5:03Speaker 6: So I see a bunch of different profiles, right, and
- 5:08Speaker 6: you can imagine having a location associated with some of
- 5:11Speaker 6: these play groups. You get have an online one which
- 5:13Speaker 6: wouldn't have a location, but you could also have a
- 5:17Speaker 6: physical one which which would have a location. And so
- 5:23Speaker 6: you could actually see if we, you know, remember to
- 5:26Speaker 6: submit our keychain results, which I realized a couple of
- 5:28Speaker 6: times in real I forgot, so I actually did it tonight.
- 5:32Speaker 6: But you could see like, oh yeah, like they just
- 5:34Speaker 6: played on Thursday at the games Keep in Westchester, Pennsylvania,
- 5:38Speaker 6: and you could be like, Hey, show me all locations
- 5:41Speaker 6: where somebody's played in the last three months or something
- 5:44Speaker 6: like that. Like, I think it could be really cool feature.
- 5:48Speaker 1: JT.
- 5:50Speaker 6: Russell is a lot of work, but I think it
- 5:55Speaker 6: could be a really cool feature. Whereas jazz Score at
- 5:59Speaker 6: d r A Z s c O r E dress score.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Dot com.
- 6:06Speaker 6: Right, I say that, right, d R A Z S
- 6:09Speaker 6: c O R E. Yeah, dress score dot com. This
- 6:13Speaker 6: is all about deck scores and therefore there's no existing
- 6:20Speaker 6: information about locations or playing or anything. So like, I mean,
- 6:24Speaker 6: I could add it, but it's like it's not the
- 6:30Speaker 6: current intended purpose though you know, I could certainly add
- 6:33Speaker 6: that to the website.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Or if you go looking for e forge store locations,
- 6:42Speaker 2: why would you go to a website called jazz score
- 6:45Speaker 2: to find them, Like you'd have to put so much
- 6:48Speaker 2: search engine optimization in for people to find that page
- 6:52Speaker 2: if they're like, where can I play q Forge? That
- 6:58Speaker 2: it doesn't it does not make sense.
- 7:00Speaker 5: I mean in that in that manner, our local who
- 7:03Speaker 5: has not shown up in a very long time, actually
- 7:05Speaker 5: reached out looking for information.
- 7:08Speaker 4: On the draft score, so that actually didn't even know.
- 7:12Speaker 4: I didn't even know draft car but yes, yes, you're right.
- 7:14Speaker 2: He's like, you still say z score and I'm like, mah.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Boy boys, I'm pretty sure I didn't dream this up.
- 7:24Speaker 5: But I'm pretty sure that the locator was actually talked
- 7:27Speaker 5: about on another Sloppy cast that it is coming and
- 7:32Speaker 5: that is.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Yes, so but hey, but it was our idea.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Now, yeah, Sloppy Hookups is going to be able to
- 7:44Speaker 2: get you set up with.
- 7:45Speaker 5: Oh so, so they actually have been doing work to
- 7:50Speaker 5: better this community, to further it.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Hey it sloppy Verbo called. I don't know I liked sloppy.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Hook I actually I didn't see it. Yeah, I'm pretty
- 8:01Speaker 4: sure dead that's.
- 8:02Speaker 2: My name for their tournament software, Sloppy Hookups.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that might get some get some eyeballs
- 8:08Speaker 1: that we wouldn't normally get on.
- 8:12Speaker 6: Key Forge, you know, I mean just like sloppy Hookups, right,
- 8:16Speaker 6: it is a good time.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Yes, yes, but I just I miss where I was able.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Dexter's out there. He does what I'm talking about, right, Dexter.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Dexter likes the Sloppy Hookups, right, that's right, big fan
- 8:33Speaker 1: of the sloppy hookups, but just a place where I
- 8:36Speaker 1: can you know, put my my here is my zip code,
- 8:39Speaker 1: and it's like, oh, this is the store nearest jew
- 8:43Speaker 1: that has things to do with key Forge.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Depressing though, that like some people are gonna put it
- 8:49Speaker 2: in they're and be like fourteen and sixty two miles
- 8:53Speaker 2: away and they're in the US.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that, Yeah, that might be depressing for
- 9:00Speaker 1: I can agree with that song.
- 9:02Speaker 2: They have a map for the currently scheduled store champs
- 9:09Speaker 2: and yeah, yeah, maybe maybe there's a lot of Denver
- 9:15Speaker 2: and then nothing.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Maybe maybe there's a pop up that's like, hey, no
- 9:19Speaker 1: locals near you, but try these online events. And that's
- 9:23Speaker 1: where we you know, put in the ac Sunday events
- 9:26Speaker 1: and the Pink Bunny events and all these awesome events
- 9:30Speaker 1: we're going to talk about right now.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Yeah, So with Josh, we talked a little bit last
- 9:37Speaker 2: week about live community events, mostly Necho, but we definitely
- 9:41Speaker 2: talked about the Midwest key Forge open in the past,
- 9:46Speaker 2: and we talked about our own event as if it
- 9:49Speaker 2: still means something five years on.
- 9:52Speaker 4: I mean, but.
- 9:55Speaker 1: We're the Rick Flair of original reincarnation of live events.
- 10:01Speaker 2: So but now now we collected some information, So we're
- 10:04Speaker 2: gonna talk about some of the online leagues. We actually
- 10:06Speaker 2: had a returning Slash new player, somebody who had some
- 10:11Speaker 2: old stuff, showed up to play with us at our local,
- 10:15Speaker 2: and you know, I was talking to him and you know,
- 10:18Speaker 2: he's kind of asking him about what else there's do
- 10:20Speaker 2: with key Forge and you know, basically describing TCO and
- 10:24Speaker 2: some of these some of these events. And I realized,
- 10:27Speaker 2: I don't, you know, I only know like one and
- 10:31Speaker 2: a half of them. So we collected a little bit
- 10:33Speaker 2: of information on a few, not not a lot of
- 10:35Speaker 2: people reached out, but we got the big ones. Yeah,
- 10:38Speaker 2: some of the other smaller ones.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Well, we'll start out with probably the biggest one, which
- 10:42Speaker 1: is ABR season biggest. What's the biggest? NFK or n KFL.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yeah, in KFL, is it really it peaked bigger?
- 10:53Speaker 1: It peaked bigger. Okay, well we'll start off with the
- 10:57Speaker 1: biggest then NK Well n k f L that's its
- 11:01Speaker 1: current iteration, yes, right, which used to just be k
- 11:09Speaker 1: f L, which was hosted by Why am I drawing
- 11:14Speaker 1: a blank.
- 11:16Speaker 2: To get confused here?
- 11:18Speaker 4: No, you're gonna get confused. Don't don't do this.
- 11:22Speaker 2: With Jupiter stuff. No, I thought i'd have very much
- 11:25Speaker 2: now absolutely totally divergent things.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Yes, well, never mind, tell me a little bit about it.
- 11:32Speaker 2: He was the key Ford Premier League.
- 11:35Speaker 6: KFL, the kf p L and we had the kf
- 11:40Speaker 6: PL weekly podcast that was on that wasn't weekly or.
- 11:44Speaker 4: I mean, we did acquire.
- 11:45Speaker 1: We do what KFBL stood for. That's why we have
- 11:47Speaker 1: a draft Draft Corps of the Draft Court drafs Corps YEP.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I never left, still doing the we're the only.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Ones who really won in that situation, right, So okay,
- 12:00Speaker 2: so if you want to talk NKFL, that one some
- 12:06Speaker 2: some peak things that it's they're in their twenty sixth
- 12:09Speaker 2: season right now. This event has been run twenty six
- 12:13Speaker 2: times starting in twenty nineteen, so I don't know that's
- 12:17Speaker 2: six years. So it's four times a year, right something
- 12:20Speaker 2: like that. So this runs consistently. They run the hexad format,
- 12:27Speaker 2: which means you bring six decks and then they have
- 12:32Speaker 2: a interesting band pick band pick process that we're not
- 12:37Speaker 2: here to describe all the steps of, but it is
- 12:39Speaker 2: a process where you use six decks and you'll play
- 12:42Speaker 2: was it three of them against the opponent each week
- 12:47Speaker 2: and you get put in pods and they like when
- 12:49Speaker 2: you start. They have color rankings of their pods. You
- 12:54Speaker 2: start down there in iron and up at the top
- 12:56Speaker 2: is gold or platinum or emeralds or something that sounds
- 13:00Speaker 2: a fancy. The truth is none of us actually play it. Diamond,
- 13:10Speaker 2: thank you, Dexter. Diamond is the top. Dexter is an
- 13:13Speaker 2: active player in it. Yeah, they like, yeah, I still
- 13:17Speaker 2: hear that, Yes, we hear you now.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Okay, cool, because I just totally dumped my uh my interface,
- 13:25Speaker 1: I picked it back up. I still here, but ah,
- 13:29Speaker 1: you didn't lose us.
- 13:30Speaker 2: No. Two hundred and thirty seven was their peak back
- 13:34Speaker 2: in twenty twenty three, and currently this season has one
- 13:37Speaker 2: hundred and six players. So down a little bit with
- 13:40Speaker 2: the current thing. But that one, I mean, it's a
- 13:44Speaker 2: well established, long run league that the only reasons I
- 13:50Speaker 2: ever end up not engaging with that league is because
- 13:54Speaker 2: it's a heavily European league and match scheduling and time
- 14:01Speaker 2: is higher than I allow myself to give to key
- 14:07Speaker 2: Forge in front of my computer yea, and other Really,
- 14:13Speaker 2: otherwise I'm interested in playing it, like this is another
- 14:15Speaker 2: one I want. When they had key Forge, one of
- 14:19Speaker 2: the key forge team leagues, and they finally one season
- 14:22Speaker 2: they broke it into Americans and not Americans, and I
- 14:24Speaker 2: played and that was fine. And it's not that I
- 14:29Speaker 2: want to play against the Saint Americans all the time
- 14:31Speaker 2: by any means, but the times so different. Stuff is
- 14:35Speaker 2: yea is painful sometimes so, but it is. It is
- 14:42Speaker 2: definitely one of the biggest stablish leagues. Definitely some uh
- 14:48Speaker 2: some straight cred for giving to Diamond in that one.
- 14:53Speaker 2: It takes good decks and good play, and it's this
- 14:56Speaker 2: is where you like if you it's like Premier League, right,
- 14:59Speaker 2: where if you do well in your color, you move
- 15:01Speaker 2: up color for the next season. I think you can
- 15:04Speaker 2: get demoted colors too.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Yeah, so the top two will go ahead in advance,
- 15:09Speaker 4: the bottom two will go down, except for your top league,
- 15:12Speaker 4: where that's where you want to stay. You did okay
- 15:16Speaker 4: with that?
- 15:19Speaker 2: Yeah, well so that's that is the biggest league running. Yeah.
- 15:26Speaker 6: I mean I would totally try hex out as well, right,
- 15:30Speaker 6: I think. Yeah, it's very much the time zone thing,
- 15:35Speaker 6: you know with uh, you know, with ABR sometimes you
- 15:39Speaker 6: get folks in other time zones and you know, every
- 15:41Speaker 6: so often it's fine, right, and generally going to be targeting,
- 15:46Speaker 6: you know, Saturday morning to try to play, but I
- 15:49Speaker 6: don't happen to be available saturdayday morning. I think it's harder, right,
- 15:54Speaker 6: So definitely the scheduling things at a little tricky, but
- 16:01Speaker 6: the format seems, you know, very cool and uh like
- 16:06Speaker 6: an interesting, you know, meta game if you will that.
- 16:11Speaker 6: In my previous mode I expose a play key forward,
- 16:17Speaker 6: I would have very much been into that.
- 16:19Speaker 2: You know.
- 16:19Speaker 6: Nowadays I'm just like, just give me a sealed deck,
- 16:21Speaker 6: I'll just play it.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And you know, yeah, I hear that mode these days.
- 16:26Speaker 2: There's a lot of a lot of people I've talked
- 16:31Speaker 2: to big proponents of hex Ad when they're not lovers
- 16:35Speaker 2: of current ARCon world because with hex Ad, having a
- 16:43Speaker 2: single absolutely bonker deck doesn't really do you anything, right,
- 16:47Speaker 2: It's just because your opponent's first thing is they get
- 16:50Speaker 2: to ban one of your deck. So you're just gonna
- 16:52Speaker 2: lose your best deck if you have one bonker one.
- 16:54Speaker 2: So you do have to have somewhat of a thing.
- 16:56Speaker 2: And with the triads and like try It and some
- 17:00Speaker 2: of the other formats, you have some ability to put
- 17:03Speaker 2: together groups of decks that are give you strengths and
- 17:07Speaker 2: weaknesses that you can plain to other people if you
- 17:10Speaker 2: want to think about it.
- 17:14Speaker 4: So it is.
- 17:14Speaker 2: It is interesting. I actually think the strength of the
- 17:18Speaker 2: decks I own these days would be stronger as a
- 17:21Speaker 2: hexa hex Sad than playing ARCon. But I also my
- 17:27Speaker 2: brain says, then Hexad is just owning the six dumbest decks.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Sounds really good to me, right, But I know they
- 17:36Speaker 2: also have had uh limits a number of decks per
- 17:41Speaker 2: set sometimes, like I think it's only one PV deck
- 17:44Speaker 2: right now, so they are preventing two PV decks. Okay,
- 17:48Speaker 2: they do some stuff there to try to prevent people
- 17:51Speaker 2: from rolling in with all the new can just straight
- 17:54Speaker 2: up ban all of PV basically, well, I guess what
- 17:57Speaker 2: is it. It's like a ban and then a save,
- 17:59Speaker 2: so you.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Eat it's ban, It's yeah, it's band save ban, and
- 18:04Speaker 5: you're going ahead and choosing from there, so you could
- 18:08Speaker 5: potentially save one but being able to be aware of
- 18:11Speaker 5: its impact. All those who are in Diamonds consistently had
- 18:15Speaker 5: the two PV from what's there and it is a
- 18:19Speaker 5: name of keyfoge names, you know, so just looking at
- 18:22Speaker 5: our diamond vision Shaka Riku bar Gast Holy Stewie, you
- 18:28Speaker 5: have harmed acually, Taka, Alberto, Campus and Pina. So like,
- 18:35Speaker 5: there's a lot of names, so some very very very
- 18:38Speaker 5: good decks, but it's they got to well laid out,
- 18:40Speaker 5: except well, technically it's a Google sheet here and there's
- 18:44Speaker 5: a lot of data that can be scraped from it
- 18:47Speaker 5: as well. So definitely something they had a cast a
- 18:50Speaker 5: while ago that went into some talk and kind of
- 18:53Speaker 5: some information on it. But it is a variant that
- 18:56Speaker 5: a lot of people really enjoy.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, so.
- 19:02Speaker 2: We're gonna let the second biggest and actually might have
- 19:05Speaker 2: had more players in this last one is ABR the
- 19:09Speaker 2: ancient Bear Republic League, which started as a California only
- 19:14Speaker 2: league and then since then blossomed out to lots of
- 19:22Speaker 2: people from multiple countries now play like we're much more
- 19:27Speaker 2: regularly seeing Europeans playing, So that's good. But I'd love
- 19:33Speaker 2: dascore because you have been you've been a captain for
- 19:36Speaker 2: a long time.
- 19:38Speaker 6: I have now, Actually I guess I should go back
- 19:40Speaker 6: and look, I could figure that out pretty quickly how
- 19:42Speaker 6: long I have been. But yeah, they do so we
- 19:45Speaker 6: definitely have gotten some more non US players now. We
- 19:50Speaker 6: do make it very clear flaming hobo, who's the really
- 19:54Speaker 6: the lead organizer, who does a great job. He makes
- 19:59Speaker 6: it clear that, hey, like this is a US based league,
- 20:04Speaker 6: not that we He's not like saying, hey, you know,
- 20:07Speaker 6: nobody could join or whatever. He's saying, yes, please join.
- 20:09Speaker 6: Just be aware, folks here are gonna ask to play
- 20:13Speaker 6: in time zones that are basically US based, right, And
- 20:18Speaker 6: so I think most people that come in and sign
- 20:23Speaker 6: up do that. So, oh, let's see here. So I
- 20:28Speaker 6: found the folder. So apparently the first folder I have
- 20:32Speaker 6: here that has like a draft list and all. This
- 20:35Speaker 6: is season four and we just did season fourteen, so
- 20:40Speaker 6: apparently I've been happening for ten seasons now, including season
- 20:44Speaker 6: nine and three quarters, which was like a little mini
- 20:47Speaker 6: season with the sweet Harry Potter reference. And yeah, I
- 20:53Speaker 6: actually didn't realize it'd been this long that I've been
- 20:55Speaker 6: doing it so.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Once.
- 21:02Speaker 6: Okay, we made four very regularly. This season was actually
- 21:09Speaker 6: the first time and I can't even remember the last
- 21:12Speaker 6: time we didn't make top four, so that was a
- 21:13Speaker 6: little sad. I actually played real bad this season.
- 21:21Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 21:21Speaker 6: Maybe part of it was just my work schedule is
- 21:25Speaker 6: worse than it's been in as long as I can remember.
- 21:29Speaker 6: But but yeah, we came in fifth this time, but
- 21:35Speaker 6: we we've made we've made Top four. I don't remember
- 21:40Speaker 6: how many of those of those ten seasons I've been captaining,
- 21:44Speaker 6: but let's definitely the majority of them.
- 21:47Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, I've played everything except the first season
- 21:52Speaker 2: where you couldn't where I couldn't.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I couldn't.
- 21:56Speaker 6: I played. I don't think I played the second season.
- 21:58Speaker 6: I think I played the third season. And I remember
- 22:01Speaker 6: I was on Shaka's team. I was drafted by Shaka
- 22:04Speaker 6: and and then the season after that they needed a
- 22:09Speaker 6: captain and uh Z was like, you should you should
- 22:14Speaker 6: get dras Gourd.
- 22:15Speaker 4: To do it.
- 22:15Speaker 6: So they reached out to me and I was like, yeah, sure,
- 22:18Speaker 6: I'll I will be happy to do it. So there's
- 22:23Speaker 6: been captains coming and going, and uh you know, there
- 22:26Speaker 6: definitely been moments where I've been like, it'd be nice
- 22:30Speaker 6: if somebody else did it. But at the same time,
- 22:32Speaker 6: they do struggle sometimes to get people because it is work.
- 22:36Speaker 6: It is real work too. Sometimes you got to chase people,
- 22:40Speaker 6: get them the play their games. You got to organize that,
- 22:42Speaker 6: you're right, But but you know, it's folks that pitch
- 22:46Speaker 6: in and do it that keep it going. So so
- 22:48Speaker 6: I just always say that that I'm going to do
- 22:51Speaker 6: it so and and uh, you know, even if I
- 22:55Speaker 6: am chasing folks around every so often, I'm I'm you know,
- 22:58Speaker 6: ninety percent of the time real high that that I
- 23:01Speaker 6: did it. And more and more I've been drafting for
- 23:06Speaker 6: who's like, who's going to be a fun teammate to
- 23:08Speaker 6: have then like micro selecting, you know the slight Well,
- 23:16Speaker 6: in the past fifty games you played in ABR, this
- 23:19Speaker 6: person won.
- 23:19Speaker 1: One more game than this person. I don't do that
- 23:22Speaker 1: as much as I used to. And now you're in fifth, yeah,
- 23:29Speaker 1: I mean maybe maybe, But you know, even though so
- 23:32Speaker 1: I was in Yes, we were in fifth.
- 23:34Speaker 6: I there was a few weeks there where I literally,
- 23:38Speaker 6: like right before I was like, oh shit, I didn't
- 23:41Speaker 6: pick my deck, like.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Right before we had to submit.
- 23:43Speaker 4: I just.
- 23:45Speaker 6: I never do that, right, I'm always trying to During
- 23:48Speaker 6: that my goodness was rough, But there was a bunch
- 23:52Speaker 6: of other folks on the team who like helped make
- 23:55Speaker 6: sure it was kept going and stuff, and people were
- 23:57Speaker 6: having fun and practicing and stuff. You though I wasn't
- 24:00Speaker 6: doing that much practicing, but you know, so having a
- 24:03Speaker 6: good team help helps there.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so as as Drascore keeps mentioning teams. ABR is
- 24:12Speaker 2: also about as far away from what NKFL as can
- 24:15Speaker 2: be for a league. In ABR, they basically they take
- 24:21Speaker 2: sign ups and then they figure out their number of
- 24:24Speaker 2: captains and they cap it so there's going to be
- 24:27Speaker 2: even number of players per captain, and then there'll be
- 24:31Speaker 2: a wait list and then as long as enough people
- 24:33Speaker 2: fill up, they'll they'll just keep adding it as long
- 24:35Speaker 2: as it ends up as even numbers per captain. Because
- 24:37Speaker 2: after all the players sign up, the captains have been selected,
- 24:41Speaker 2: they then do like a fantasy football draft where all
- 24:45Speaker 2: the names are on a board and they get a
- 24:46Speaker 2: draft order and they sit there and pick players. So
- 24:51Speaker 2: you when you sign up for ABR, you do not
- 24:54Speaker 2: know who your captain's going to be. So then after
- 24:57Speaker 2: they do that, you'll just all of a sudden shopp
- 25:00Speaker 2: and a channel in the ABR and then you will
- 25:02Speaker 2: then spend the next three days coming up with puns
- 25:05Speaker 2: for team names. And then after that the next feature
- 25:11Speaker 2: of ABR is decks are basically functionally for the event.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Decks are owned by the team. Is the way to
- 25:21Speaker 2: think of it as like everybody on the team, all
- 25:24Speaker 2: the decks are functionally communially shared for the weeks that
- 25:29Speaker 2: you're going to play, so you don't you do not
- 25:31Speaker 2: have to come in with a good deck collection. As
- 25:35Speaker 2: a matter of fact, having some weird e collectic deck
- 25:38Speaker 2: collections is very strong because the other difference in ABR
- 25:42Speaker 2: is every week is a different format. Now there will
- 25:46Speaker 2: be some traditional ARCon or adaptor style, but even some
- 25:49Speaker 2: of those, they will set limit or require a number
- 25:53Speaker 2: of artifacts, or do all kinds of different rules to
- 25:57Speaker 2: modify what you're picking each week, so it's not just
- 26:01Speaker 2: the same set of decks. And then their other big
- 26:04Speaker 2: thing is when a deck has been used for the season,
- 26:06Speaker 2: it can't be used in another format. And you will
- 26:09Speaker 2: know all the formats you're going to play for this
- 26:12Speaker 2: season ahead of time, so if there's a deck you
- 26:14Speaker 2: really want to use in one, you know to save it.
- 26:17Speaker 2: And then you get to you get your team channel,
- 26:19Speaker 2: so you get to talk with your teammates. So if
- 26:21Speaker 2: you don't know what to pick, or if you're new
- 26:23Speaker 2: to it and you're like, well, what kind of thing
- 26:25Speaker 2: should we expect during this you have teammates who are
- 26:27Speaker 2: going to help you make your selections and practice with
- 26:33Speaker 2: you if that's your thing. At least some teammates will
- 26:35Speaker 2: practice with you. Not this teammate. I will play after
- 26:39Speaker 2: games and key Forge not going to happen. I will
- 26:42Speaker 2: theory craft with you, but playing extra games and key
- 26:45Speaker 2: Forge don't know about that.
- 26:48Speaker 4: So I got a question.
- 26:49Speaker 1: It might be a weird question. I've only ever played
- 26:53Speaker 1: in one ABR. I played in the weird night and
- 26:57Speaker 1: three quarters a br Right, Well, yeah, I I've told
- 27:04Speaker 1: you guys why I struggle sometimes to make it to
- 27:07Speaker 1: our locals, which is the same day every week. I
- 27:12Speaker 1: don't want to. I can't. I don't want to put
- 27:17Speaker 1: that on my you know, on a team you know
- 27:20Speaker 1: where it's just oh, will you make it? Maybe we'll see.
- 27:27Speaker 1: I don't want to be that guy that drafts courts,
- 27:29Speaker 1: chasing every week to play his game. Yeah, because they
- 27:34Speaker 1: don't show up right either either way. So I played
- 27:38Speaker 1: in the nine and three quarters one. I think I
- 27:40Speaker 1: was with Ewok and uh Custodian.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Were my teammates. Oh yeah, that was a small one.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, it was like a small quick one or whatever.
- 27:52Speaker 1: How often do teams change.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Every season?
- 27:58Speaker 1: Season? There's like there's a draft, right, right, there's a draft,
- 28:01Speaker 1: but like how often like because I've often be like,
- 28:04Speaker 1: actually I are again and it's like, oh, it's like
- 28:06Speaker 1: the third or fourth time they've been on the same
- 28:08Speaker 1: team with each other.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I was going to mention that the draft has felt
- 28:15Speaker 2: a little stagnant to me. A lot of people end
- 28:19Speaker 2: up in the same groups, like it is sort of
- 28:23Speaker 2: there is the sloppy team. A lot of the sloppy
- 28:26Speaker 2: people will end up together every season, and then there's
- 28:30Speaker 2: the Drascour and ac friends, right, and it's yep, you know,
- 28:36Speaker 2: and it I I it's not a problem to me
- 28:39Speaker 2: that it happens. But it is also that little bit
- 28:43Speaker 2: of luster with ABR where you end up with a
- 28:44Speaker 2: bunch of people who are into key Forge and you're
- 28:48Speaker 2: gonna have to deal with you know, like you keep
- 28:52Speaker 2: seeing the same group of people again and again, which
- 28:57Speaker 2: can build a stronger team because you know how these
- 29:01Speaker 2: people play and interact with each other, but it doesn't
- 29:05Speaker 2: foster as much cross communication cross pollination. So I don't
- 29:11Speaker 2: know how they Yeah, I don't know how they would
- 29:14Speaker 2: fix that to try to shuffle are less.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Like somebody, even even the captain always seemed to be
- 29:23Speaker 1: the same people. Well that and that's that's why the
- 29:27Speaker 1: teams end up being the same, becaucause they're picking people
- 29:29Speaker 1: they trust. And it almost makes you wonder if you
- 29:31Speaker 1: go through the draft, every picks their one, they're two,
- 29:34Speaker 1: they're three, they're four, right, and then you shuffle the ones,
- 29:37Speaker 1: shuffle the two's, you know, and just and just be like.
- 29:41Speaker 4: There you go owner draft. You draft for different random
- 29:46Speaker 4: teams depending on the round.
- 29:48Speaker 6: Ah, I don't know, because because the middle of the
- 29:51Speaker 6: draft is actually some of the more interesting stuff.
- 29:54Speaker 1: I think.
- 29:56Speaker 6: Because the middle of the like, so the the top
- 30:00Speaker 6: of the draft, there's you know, a lot of well known,
- 30:03Speaker 6: you know players playing this game Vault Tour winner decks,
- 30:09Speaker 6: and they're gonna get snapped up, right, And then and
- 30:14Speaker 6: then you get to the middle where it's like maybe
- 30:16Speaker 6: you got one of the two things, right. You got
- 30:19Speaker 6: to either a strong player who just doesn't have a
- 30:21Speaker 6: you know, particularly exciting collection, or you've got somebody who
- 30:26Speaker 6: like buys a ton of decks but and a ton
- 30:29Speaker 6: of strong decks but maybe just hasn't you know, notched
- 30:34Speaker 6: you know, multiple wins on their belt sort of thing.
- 30:38Speaker 6: And then you've got folks who you know are great
- 30:43Speaker 6: to practice with you. Maybe themselves don't have a great record,
- 30:46Speaker 6: but like you're like, hey, like this person will make
- 30:49Speaker 6: my team better. Right, there's all like that middle is
- 30:52Speaker 6: is interesting to me.
- 30:54Speaker 1: And then.
- 30:56Speaker 6: And then like the end is sort of like we
- 30:58Speaker 6: don't know who these names are.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know players, nobody knows anything about it.
- 31:03Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah you're like and so I used to
- 31:07Speaker 6: and this again goes to I've I have decreased somewhat
- 31:12Speaker 6: the amount of investment I put. But I used to
- 31:15Speaker 6: go and look, maybe I'm giving away secrets, but what
- 31:19Speaker 6: I used to do, so you could other captains, you
- 31:21Speaker 6: could do this and do what I used to do
- 31:23Speaker 6: now and draft better than me. But I used to
- 31:27Speaker 6: these people I didn't know. I would go to all
- 31:29Speaker 6: the different discords. I would go to AC, I would
- 31:32Speaker 6: go to ABR, I would go to like Sanctemonium, I
- 31:35Speaker 6: would go to.
- 31:37Speaker 4: Like.
- 31:37Speaker 6: I would go all across all these different servers help
- 31:42Speaker 6: from yourself, and I would look to see like how
- 31:45Speaker 6: much were they posting? And I would look to see
- 31:50Speaker 6: like what level of discussion were they having? So if
- 31:53Speaker 6: they were like new but like obviously super into it,
- 31:57Speaker 6: I'd be like, Okay, I'm gonna give you extra points
- 31:59Speaker 6: in my score system for your engagement level because I
- 32:01Speaker 6: think you're going to participate more and even though you're newer,
- 32:04Speaker 6: you're like ready to learn and excited, so like I
- 32:06Speaker 6: would give you more points. And if you weren't in
- 32:10Speaker 6: any of those servers or weren't really discussing, you wouldn't
- 32:14Speaker 6: get as many points. So I would use that to
- 32:16Speaker 6: try to figure out how to draft at the end.
- 32:23Speaker 6: So now you know, but then last pick, I just like, well,
- 32:27Speaker 6: I guess, I guess I'll take x ray.
- 32:29Speaker 1: You know, That's that's what.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Ended up happening normally. You know, somebody's got to be stocked,
- 32:34Speaker 2: you guys. An'll learn it here for five dollars on Patreon.
- 32:38Speaker 2: If you are a five dollar background Patreon, you can
- 32:41Speaker 2: pay drafts care and he will give you your personal
- 32:44Speaker 2: Drazz score.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Mhmm. You've scored everybody, the personal dress, the people, yeah people, yea,
- 32:56Speaker 1: your personal Drazz score?
- 33:00Speaker 4: Do you.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Do you rate? People want six as well and you're like, oh,
- 33:05Speaker 1: there's six, I need them? There are three? Well, let's
- 33:14Speaker 1: see here.
- 33:16Speaker 6: Do you have like do you have like a sheet
- 33:17Speaker 6: that you're like there's a category, so there's there's a
- 33:21Speaker 6: sum rating, but there the categories are interaction level. You
- 33:27Speaker 6: score from one to four depending on your interaction level
- 33:30Speaker 6: across these various servers.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Your record.
- 33:35Speaker 6: In a b R on a scale from one to four,
- 33:40Speaker 6: your deck your deck set score from one to four.
- 33:45Speaker 6: And then there's a column that says bump, which basically means, actually,
- 33:49Speaker 6: I don't think whatever score came out was right, so
- 33:51Speaker 6: I modify it, and then these some all up and
- 33:56Speaker 6: you get a rating based on Uh, that's what I
- 34:00Speaker 6: was doing for a long time, right, Like.
- 34:04Speaker 1: My playoff games?
- 34:05Speaker 6: Did you win? Was there a difference? Did you choke
- 34:08Speaker 6: in the playoffs right? Or did you like come out
- 34:10Speaker 6: strong in the playoffs? Like how many playoff games did
- 34:13Speaker 6: you play?
- 34:13Speaker 1: Right? Like I got?
- 34:15Speaker 6: I got a lot of stuff in here, speak.
- 34:18Speaker 5: Speak speaking, speaking on speaking of this. We'll get to
- 34:21Speaker 5: your rating in a second. Since I missed last week,
- 34:25Speaker 5: shout up because Josh was here. Sorry I missed you, man,
- 34:28Speaker 5: But he was talking about some of the formats that
- 34:30Speaker 5: he really enjoyed from a BR so I'd posted there
- 34:33Speaker 5: from Thief week that he had talked about, and then
- 34:36Speaker 5: quick Ford so those were two of the ab R
- 34:38Speaker 5: formats that showed up. But I mean, when you're talking
- 34:41Speaker 5: about choking, all that I was picturing was sheep this
- 34:45Speaker 5: past week and how he choked man really really really
- 34:49Speaker 5: bad over at Necho. So he is our new deuce
- 34:52Speaker 5: and deuces, and that's that's how I'd like to go down.
- 34:55Speaker 5: All right, Now, let's go ahead and let's talk about a.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Deuce.
- 35:00Speaker 6: I am.
- 35:01Speaker 2: I was only the fifth, the fifth of Necho.
- 35:05Speaker 4: You were the squirts.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Double deuced in Minnesota, so you are still the.
- 35:12Speaker 5: Deuce, your deuceive deuces the Minnesota. All right, uh so
- 35:19Speaker 5: so back over to rating the e walk.
- 35:24Speaker 1: No, yeah, what what's what's the score? Address? Yeah, go
- 35:28Speaker 1: with it. For Wookie, what's your score? Yeah, let's do
- 35:31Speaker 1: My score looks like a negative five. I don't know
- 35:34Speaker 1: how you know.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Interactivity? What were the categories again? Interactivity minus one will post?
- 35:42Speaker 1: Inaction, Yeah, records.
- 35:45Speaker 2: We'll post.
- 35:46Speaker 1: You don't even know my record's record.
- 35:50Speaker 2: It's like zero three.
- 35:52Speaker 1: No, No, I was four and.
- 35:56Speaker 2: He can have a positive couple for deck collection.
- 35:59Speaker 1: I was, I may and then and then right? Which
- 36:02Speaker 1: is I give you more or less points based on?
- 36:07Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 36:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that wasn't fun.
- 36:10Speaker 2: I know I'm not high enough to get drafted by
- 36:13Speaker 2: draft Cars anymore. That's what sir.
- 36:16Speaker 1: You've got a pretty good score.
- 36:20Speaker 4: But everybody build up his ego, still build up his ego.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Man, how about this. You definitely have a higher score
- 36:28Speaker 1: than Wookie. How's that.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Negative? Folk?
- 36:33Speaker 1: My jack next season? Just to ruin draz Cars day, Yeah,
- 36:38Speaker 1: I've drafted draft just shows your poor drafting capabilities if
- 36:48Speaker 1: you're gonna draft me.
- 36:49Speaker 6: He uh, Dexter says he's never been on my team.
- 36:53Speaker 6: That might be right, which was not intentional, Dexter, I
- 36:59Speaker 6: would totally draft, sir. You know things about cards.
- 37:04Speaker 2: You know, I like the seventh or eighth pick.
- 37:09Speaker 6: Uh. So, yeah, everybody knows you. That's that's the problem.
- 37:14Speaker 2: So I actually have a decent record on a b
- 37:17Speaker 2: R two, so I'm one. I am one of handful
- 37:22Speaker 2: with a completely undefeated season.
- 37:26Speaker 1: There you go.
- 37:27Speaker 2: That definitely will I have never got anywhere to hear since,
- 37:31Speaker 2: but I did it once.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Yeah, happened one time. All right. Yeah, let's move into
- 37:37Speaker 1: some of the other ones. One that you had put
- 37:40Speaker 1: on here was Kagi. I think that's kind of maybe
- 37:43Speaker 1: the most most next best known or you want to
- 37:46Speaker 1: go through the Jared wants to go through the fun facts.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Did you go through? Do we go through sheets? Then
- 37:52Speaker 1: we'll move on.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Yeah, if you are interested in fun facts, join the
- 37:56Speaker 2: A b R server and in their general chat, Emperor
- 38:00Speaker 2: Ku has posted tons of fun facts about people who
- 38:05Speaker 2: have done well and showed up a lot and all
- 38:08Speaker 2: kinds of different format facts. He's got tons. They have
- 38:11Speaker 2: tons of information here, but some of their highlights is
- 38:16Speaker 2: there been three hundred and forty seven unique players across
- 38:21Speaker 2: the fourteen and one half seasons. One hundred and forty
- 38:28Speaker 2: of them have been on a winning team. So that
- 38:31Speaker 2: shows you that actually there's a big spread of people
- 38:34Speaker 2: who have made it to the top, which is cool.
- 38:37Speaker 2: It's not always the same small people. Yeah, what's this
- 38:44Speaker 2: next one? It says thirty seven hundred and twenty six
- 38:49Speaker 2: best of one games have been played. Some weeks are
- 38:53Speaker 2: best of one and some weeks are best of three,
- 38:57Speaker 2: So thirty seven hundred best of one game games, fifty
- 39:01Speaker 2: five hundred best of three games, and then over those
- 39:09Speaker 2: it says eighteen hundred and I'm just cutting off the
- 39:11Speaker 2: last couple of numbers, but eighteen hundred ARCon games, thirteen
- 39:15Speaker 2: hundred sealed games because there'll always be arc on. There's
- 39:17Speaker 2: almost always there's always sealed, always ark on. There's been
- 39:22Speaker 2: a thousand triad games, there's not always triad and thirteen
- 39:28Speaker 2: hundred adaptive games because for some reason adaptive just I
- 39:35Speaker 2: don't know, they must die quick quick isn't quick draw?
- 39:39Speaker 2: Still is he still uh drafting teams? So he's on
- 39:43Speaker 2: that and no. So but there's that, there is that
- 39:49Speaker 2: sloppy present, although I have a very good adaptive record
- 39:54Speaker 2: as well.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Definitely.
- 39:59Speaker 6: So by the way, those sealed games, they're not Yeah,
- 40:08Speaker 6: so they're really a sealed pool. So what happens for
- 40:11Speaker 6: the most part, this isn't always true. Occasionally that will
- 40:14Speaker 6: just be like here's your deck or here's your three
- 40:16Speaker 6: decks each player, and it's always true, well always, I
- 40:20Speaker 6: think often it's true sealed. But generally what it is is,
- 40:26Speaker 6: let's just say that season, it's ten players on the team,
- 40:31Speaker 6: sometimes more, sometimes it's less. The whole team would get
- 40:37Speaker 6: thirty decks, and then you have to go through those
- 40:39Speaker 6: decks and figure out which ten your team's going to
- 40:43Speaker 6: play and who's going to play which ones. That process
- 40:48Speaker 6: is really fun. There's I would say every time we
- 40:51Speaker 6: do it, maybe about roughly half the team. We'll get
- 40:55Speaker 6: really into it and test all the decks and try
- 41:00Speaker 6: different matchups and like like that is one of the
- 41:03Speaker 6: most popular testing weeks that that there is. And then
- 41:07Speaker 6: sometimes you'll have, you know, a couple of folks who
- 41:10Speaker 6: are just like they just look through the list that
- 41:11Speaker 6: are like, I just want to play this one. It's like, okay, cool.
- 41:15Speaker 6: And then you always have one or two people are like,
- 41:16Speaker 6: I don't know, just could be a deck, right, But
- 41:20Speaker 6: that that is a fun situation. And you know, I
- 41:26Speaker 6: think overall the league is pretty new, you know, new
- 41:31Speaker 6: player friendly. I know that, uh, you know, for the
- 41:36Speaker 6: most part, teams try to be you know, pretty commodating
- 41:41Speaker 6: for whatever skill level, and you know, make deck recommendations
- 41:45Speaker 6: and all this. Some teams will even be like, oh, yeah,
- 41:48Speaker 6: you should just play this deck now, I know some
- 41:51Speaker 6: people some people like that. Some people prefer just to
- 41:54Speaker 6: play their own decks. So there's a little bit of
- 41:56Speaker 6: different opinion there. But for the most part, I think
- 41:58Speaker 6: it's it's real new be friendly. I guess I have
- 42:01Speaker 6: heard on occasion that some new a new person will
- 42:04Speaker 6: be on like a team that's I don't know, I
- 42:09Speaker 6: guess hardcore about winning or something, and maybe it's a
- 42:10Speaker 6: little tricky, but I don't think there's too much of that.
- 42:12Speaker 2: So I think coming into ABR, I know it's tough
- 42:19Speaker 2: for some people. Coming in definitely with the acceptance of
- 42:22Speaker 2: playing other people's decks or other people using your decks
- 42:26Speaker 2: makes for a we'll make for a better overall experience
- 42:30Speaker 2: than if you come in and you're just like, I
- 42:32Speaker 2: just want to play my decks. Yeah, like, and that's
- 42:36Speaker 2: not If you have it's fine, you can definitely do it,
- 42:39Speaker 2: but that is not the core of what the ABR
- 42:41Speaker 2: League is about.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Right right.
- 42:44Speaker 6: I mean, if you have a large collection with a
- 42:46Speaker 6: lot of good decks, you can probably get away with it.
- 42:49Speaker 6: But but if you got fifty decks or thirty decks,
- 42:52Speaker 6: you're coming in like yeah, yeah, your.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Team is going to want you to play.
- 42:57Speaker 2: I mean, of the formats, I play only my decks
- 43:01Speaker 2: just because I own enough that yeah, I don't have to.
- 43:06Speaker 2: I have a good deck for many formats because I've
- 43:09Speaker 2: also played ABR for so many seasons. I have decks
- 43:12Speaker 2: that stayed in my collection just because like, oh that's
- 43:14Speaker 2: good for the silly ABR thing. So even when I
- 43:19Speaker 2: purched decks, I've kept some silly decks, those kinds of things.
- 43:24Speaker 1: All right, let's move into Cagy. I know significantly less
- 43:28Speaker 1: about Kagy than I do about Abr.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Okay, so Coggi is, uh, he forged as Garfield intended,
- 43:38Speaker 2: the most obnoxious name of a league ever. Let's take
- 43:46Speaker 2: three words that a guy said and like base our
- 43:49Speaker 2: whole religion off of it. Good playing guys. Well, whatever
- 43:55Speaker 2: is religious?
- 43:55Speaker 1: Doubly work?
- 43:56Speaker 2: Yes, for sure? Anyway, Coggi which no, whatever, Well, we
- 44:04Speaker 2: can disagree on this. That's not what the show is about. Okay.
- 44:08Speaker 5: Well, you struggled to figure out what stood for. So
- 44:12Speaker 5: I was just sitting over here chuckling.
- 44:13Speaker 1: I don't think you so much.
- 44:14Speaker 2: I struggle to figure out what I'm going for exactly.
- 44:18Speaker 2: I was trying to decide how mean to be.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Well I was going with he was struggling today. Yeah,
- 44:25Speaker 1: well he was struggling to figure out if he actually
- 44:27Speaker 1: wanted to say it or not.
- 44:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:29Speaker 1: That okay, So it is because I am also in
- 44:33Speaker 1: the range of it is the most obnoxious name for
- 44:37Speaker 1: a league ever.
- 44:37Speaker 2: But anyways, it is the adaptive league. So we're not
- 44:44Speaker 2: here to to cover the goods and bads of adaptive.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Don't you just have the last?
- 44:57Speaker 2: I can't staying from leaking out anyways. They are also
- 45:02Speaker 2: on their fourteenth season they currently have I mean it's
- 45:06Speaker 2: a big league as well. They have ninety players in
- 45:08Speaker 2: their league this season, twenty two of them being new
- 45:11Speaker 2: those There are some information they are playing adaptive. That's no,
- 45:19Speaker 2: they're playing full adaptive, right, Oh, I think they play
- 45:24Speaker 2: full adaptive. Yeah, definitely, Coggy is full adaptive. It's where
- 45:28Speaker 2: you play a game, you swap decks with your opponent.
- 45:31Speaker 2: You play a game. If one deck won both of
- 45:34Speaker 2: them on the third game, you will bid chains on
- 45:37Speaker 2: the winning deck. The difference the only thing from Kagi
- 45:42Speaker 2: versus the original published adaptive rules is there is no
- 45:47Speaker 2: limit on the number of chains that you can bid,
- 45:52Speaker 2: which some of us may use for nefarious purposes.
- 45:58Speaker 4: See last week's discussion.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Yes, but I love it, hate it whatever. Adaptive definitely
- 46:07Speaker 2: does have a following. It is a place where deck
- 46:12Speaker 2: strength is not very critical and ability to play any
- 46:17Speaker 2: trash put in front of you is a skill that
- 46:22Speaker 2: you can use and then be able to turn that
- 46:25Speaker 2: into you know, guess, a number of chains that is adaptive,
- 46:32Speaker 2: and it's got plenty of people playing, so.
- 46:35Speaker 4: Is that.
- 46:36Speaker 2: I don't think it's a new player friendly, so I
- 46:37Speaker 2: would never push new players to it. But if anybody
- 46:39Speaker 2: ever said to me that they got sick of Marcon
- 46:41Speaker 2: and they want to be able to play their junk,
- 46:43Speaker 2: then I'd be like, well, there's these guys doing this.
- 46:46Speaker 2: You can give that a try.
- 46:47Speaker 5: I think it's a passionate group of individuals. If you
- 46:50Speaker 5: like key Ford, just go and try it out. I
- 46:53Speaker 5: wouldn't push anyone away from it.
- 46:55Speaker 2: So yes, I just don't push anybody to it either.
- 47:00Speaker 2: But I do admit it exists and they're doing their thing,
- 47:03Speaker 2: and I mean they have player count, so that's something.
- 47:10Speaker 2: But yeah, so kaygie, I don't actually know a whole
- 47:12Speaker 2: lot of other stuff about it. You can play, I
- 47:18Speaker 2: know you can. Basically, you don't have to list your
- 47:20Speaker 2: deck because it's adaptive. You can just show up with
- 47:23Speaker 2: a different deck each game because it's adaptive, So I
- 47:29Speaker 2: have some stuff with that. It definitely lets you play
- 47:31Speaker 2: a bunch of whatever you want to play, and then
- 47:34Speaker 2: you have to play someone whatever they want you to play,
- 47:36Speaker 2: which these dirty people like to make you play DT.
- 47:41Speaker 1: How dirty are they they're dirty.
- 47:46Speaker 6: So by the way, speaking of DT, so, I had
- 47:51Speaker 6: asked my store owner, right, Carl, he's a good guy, Hey,
- 47:57Speaker 6: you know, can you order some more book and you
- 48:02Speaker 6: know anything you're you know, any of the sets we've
- 48:05Speaker 6: been playing if you're low on them, you know, restock right.
- 48:10Speaker 6: So he's like, oh, yeah, I got a bunch of
- 48:15Speaker 6: Crucible Clash. I got uh embers guys, because we're running
- 48:20Speaker 6: low on that. And he's like, oh yeah, And I realized,
- 48:23Speaker 6: way they have a dark tiding, So I got a
- 48:25Speaker 6: bunch of that.
- 48:25Speaker 1: I was like, oh, oh, what you can still order that?
- 48:30Speaker 2: Yes, yes you can.
- 48:32Speaker 6: For probably he's probably going to have to sell it
- 48:34Speaker 6: at fifteen dollars a deck, because yeah, from I mean,
- 48:39Speaker 6: we're pretty.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Sure Josh's desk is made of DT boxes. So like
- 48:43Speaker 2: you just like you just ordered his filing cabinet or something.
- 48:48Speaker 2: I don't know what what's he.
- 48:49Speaker 5: Going to do?
- 48:51Speaker 1: Yeah, So I don't know, you know.
- 48:53Speaker 6: I was thinking that maybe maybe what we would do,
- 48:56Speaker 6: because like disposably, we're supposed to play Alliance for store champs,
- 49:00Speaker 6: maybe it would.
- 49:01Speaker 1: No, don't do it, don't don't Alliance and.
- 49:05Speaker 6: The directly message quick draw would be like, if you're
- 49:09Speaker 6: not driving here.
- 49:13Speaker 4: These all get shredded instead.
- 49:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, if you told me I had to pay
- 49:19Speaker 2: fifty bucks to play dark Tidying Sealed Allions, I would
- 49:27Speaker 2: I would end up doing it because I'm like, Okay,
- 49:29Speaker 2: it's for the store. I don't know.
- 49:35Speaker 6: Yeah, I think I might just shred it. I might
- 49:38Speaker 6: just shred it live. Oh maybe that's what we should do.
- 49:42Speaker 6: We should do like as our alliance will do Alliance
- 49:44Speaker 6: Shredder like you can.
- 49:49Speaker 2: You could just put your fifty dollars barreller bill in
- 49:51Speaker 2: the shredder. But we're going to make this cake three
- 49:54Speaker 2: times as long.
- 49:57Speaker 1: What a terrible idea. Oh man, and I ordered more.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I ordered moral DT. That's a terrible idea. Yeah, here's one.
- 50:11Speaker 1: And this is one. I I know I've never heard
- 50:14Speaker 1: of this, and maybe I haven't. Maybe I haven't. But
- 50:18Speaker 1: miners what is minors?
- 50:21Speaker 2: Minors? Which is M I N E R S right,
- 50:26Speaker 2: So like mining minors not not yeah, not fish miners miners. Anyways,
- 50:35Speaker 2: this one it's also run through pretty sure this is
- 50:39Speaker 2: run through one of the sloppy sub channels just contact
- 50:42Speaker 2: not tonight. She's currently the person admitting this, but the
- 50:48Speaker 2: way this one works, it's changed over time, but the
- 50:51Speaker 2: current iteration of it is they pick a SaaS number
- 50:56Speaker 2: and it will always be sub seventy, and then they
- 50:59Speaker 2: use the random Access Archives bot, which you tell it
- 51:04Speaker 2: your deck or your dook name, and it goes through
- 51:08Speaker 2: your dok Miners has its very own discord server, so
- 51:13Speaker 2: thank you, thank you decks. It goes through your decks
- 51:19Speaker 2: and it will pick a deck that's in the agreed range. Right,
- 51:22Speaker 2: so it's like you're you're almost playing Sealed from your
- 51:24Speaker 2: own personal collection within a SaaS range, and then you
- 51:28Speaker 2: you just play that game. So it like it makes
- 51:31Speaker 2: it so you're gonna play games with SaaS ranges that
- 51:34Speaker 2: again don't typically have an outlet, right, you could go
- 51:39Speaker 2: play them and adapt to but then you have to
- 51:41Speaker 2: deal with all that awful overhead. So this this reduces
- 51:46Speaker 2: the overhead a bunch because it's just a number. You
- 51:48Speaker 2: stick it in a bot and it slams a deck,
- 51:50Speaker 2: You shuffle it up and you play it. Well, don't
- 51:52Speaker 2: even shuffle right, because they're using TCLT. This actually sounds
- 51:56Speaker 2: good enough that I marry very well. I'll click joint
- 52:00Speaker 2: on this server thing right now, because This sounds like
- 52:03Speaker 2: something I would actually play, because I do not mind playing.
- 52:08Speaker 2: I have a bunch of mid mid tier decks that
- 52:12Speaker 2: are full of or tatoos and you know double garbage
- 52:15Speaker 2: wears that I like that really have no reason outside
- 52:19Speaker 2: I like them, and this will make them play. That
- 52:22Speaker 2: will be fun.
- 52:24Speaker 1: You know what you know we need to do. We
- 52:26Speaker 1: need to talk them to use jazz score instead of SaaS.
- 52:30Speaker 1: That's what we need to do. Everybody be like, what
- 52:35Speaker 1: are you talking?
- 52:36Speaker 2: Yes, everybody be like, these dirt balls want us to
- 52:39Speaker 2: pay how many dollars to import all our decks?
- 52:43Speaker 1: Well, maybe we'd work out a deal or something.
- 52:45Speaker 2: You know, Yes, that's you'd have to make a lot
- 52:50Speaker 2: more free imports, because that's the thing is you got
- 52:52Speaker 2: to import all those decks that you don't actually carry
- 52:54Speaker 2: the number on. Yeah, yep, but yeah, they're they're on
- 52:59Speaker 2: season seven. It looks like they break things into group
- 53:03Speaker 2: of eight and then I'm I don't know, imagine you
- 53:05Speaker 2: Brown Robin or it looks like they maybe use a
- 53:10Speaker 2: a bracket of eight. I don't know. We don't have
- 53:15Speaker 2: all the details. That's not what it's here for, but
- 53:17Speaker 2: it is. It is a active online league where you
- 53:20Speaker 2: can play some different stuff. This is definitely something that
- 53:24Speaker 2: if new player Justin shows up Kenny's asked about online play,
- 53:28Speaker 2: that I would be like, this is a good place
- 53:30Speaker 2: if you have a moderate collection of decks to have
- 53:32Speaker 2: a reason to play some stuff and have some fun
- 53:37Speaker 2: without having to worry about trying to pick for ARCon
- 53:41Speaker 2: or trying to pick the counter somebody.
- 53:44Speaker 1: Yeah, no, this actually sounds interesting to me to be like,
- 53:47Speaker 1: I just put it all my decks and it picks
- 53:50Speaker 1: picks whatever for me.
- 53:52Speaker 2: I already though, do feel like if I join this
- 53:56Speaker 2: and they accept me, that I have ten percent cheated because.
- 54:00Speaker 4: I have pers limited Yes, so many decks, you know,
- 54:03Speaker 4: like I've.
- 54:03Speaker 2: Owned fifteen hundred or two thousand decks and I currently
- 54:06Speaker 2: only have two hundred in my collection because the stuff
- 54:10Speaker 2: that I have absolutely no interest in playing is gone.
- 54:13Speaker 2: But the stuff I kept is not necessarily good, So
- 54:17Speaker 2: I don't know of a little bit. There was one
- 54:20Speaker 2: called the Average Joe's for a little bit. Oh yeah,
- 54:26Speaker 2: that was again you brought like a they would sass
- 54:31Speaker 2: range into the low sixties or mid sixties, and then
- 54:34Speaker 2: you'd play a bracket out with those decks, and that
- 54:41Speaker 2: was it was funny.
- 54:44Speaker 1: I think that.
- 54:46Speaker 6: There was another league we were in you me and
- 54:51Speaker 6: x Ray we were doctor Drasray.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Right, yeah, so there's some team.
- 54:56Speaker 2: There was the two different No, there was the two
- 54:59Speaker 2: different versi of key Forge team league, the more recent
- 55:03Speaker 2: one that was run by Riku, and then somebody is
- 55:09Speaker 2: looking at picking that up and running with it again.
- 55:13Speaker 2: There's been a few different times the team leagues have
- 55:16Speaker 2: been run. We used to definitely play in the team leagues.
- 55:18Speaker 2: That would be Team leagues are generally three players get
- 55:23Speaker 2: together and then one of them is going to be
- 55:25Speaker 2: They're gonna pick three formats and you you know, your
- 55:29Speaker 2: team plays against another team. So if ive Arkan I
- 55:31Speaker 2: will play there Arkan Drascors, he's got to play try
- 55:34Speaker 2: it against their triad guy. And then we got Ewak
- 55:37Speaker 2: who we may play adaptive and he has to play
- 55:39Speaker 2: the adaptive match. And then you go through a season.
- 55:44Speaker 2: But you have groups of teams. They've had different variations
- 55:48Speaker 2: of that. I know we've played team sealed like you
- 55:50Speaker 2: ran the team sealed or put to help put together
- 55:53Speaker 2: the team sealed that KFC this year. The team events
- 55:58Speaker 2: have always been cool. They are just a lot of
- 56:01Speaker 2: overhead to keep them running because you know, like somebody
- 56:06Speaker 2: has to boss mob each team and be like, hey,
- 56:08Speaker 2: make sure you schedule and get your games in, and
- 56:10Speaker 2: then somebody is in each team has to be taking
- 56:13Speaker 2: care of their players and making sure their players are
- 56:15Speaker 2: actually scheduling because at some point on these team leagues,
- 56:18Speaker 2: when they get bigger, there's random teams or there's like
- 56:22Speaker 2: two people looking for a thirds, and some of those
- 56:25Speaker 2: teams don't always Yeah, we get stuck with a random
- 56:28Speaker 2: you never know what you got.
- 56:33Speaker 1: Fair enough. So guys just go check out some of
- 56:38Speaker 1: the leagues if you're looking for things to do while
- 56:40Speaker 1: we are in the in between times of waiting for
- 56:45Speaker 1: Vault Tour things stuff and things to come out, and
- 56:49Speaker 1: we'll kind of go from there. Anything else you guys got,
- 56:52Speaker 1: I mean, you guys can always join Doctor Sheep on
- 56:54Speaker 1: Sundays or most Sundays to play some seal And then
- 57:03Speaker 1: we got Wednesdays with with Local Car you can always
- 57:07Speaker 1: come out and do the Pink Bunny Games thing.
- 57:11Speaker 2: Yeah, Wednesdays and Sundays. This is true sealed deck. We
- 57:17Speaker 2: open brand new decks at these events. So if we're
- 57:20Speaker 2: looking for seal sealed practice and experience these are good
- 57:24Speaker 2: ways to do it. We try to play every Wednesday
- 57:27Speaker 2: and Sunday. Pretty cheap.
- 57:29Speaker 1: You just go, it's fun, play three games, maybe four,
- 57:33Speaker 1: it's good time. Call it a night. Yep.
- 57:37Speaker 6: But we can uh the championship season stores champions seasons starting,
- 57:44Speaker 6: so when stores like mine get around to I mean,
- 57:49Speaker 6: when I remember to harass my store owner to go
- 57:52Speaker 6: send in his information about when the stuff is. You
- 57:55Speaker 6: can check out the cool website Josh is up there
- 57:58Speaker 6: that shows you when aware events are. So mine's definitely
- 58:02Speaker 6: not up there yet. But Games Keep of Westchester, Pennsylvania
- 58:06Speaker 6: do an arc on Sunday, March eighth, sealed Sunday, March
- 58:10Speaker 6: twenty second, and then whatever we're going to do to
- 58:13Speaker 6: pass for Alliance on Thursday, April ninth. So uh, if
- 58:19Speaker 6: you're in the area, come check it out.
- 58:24Speaker 1: Anything else we got to get through, make sure you
- 58:26Speaker 1: go over to the draftscore dot com still again, drafts car,
- 58:30Speaker 1: draft car.
- 58:33Speaker 6: Yeah, it's like drazz d R A Z and then
- 58:36Speaker 6: the words score s c O r E drafs score
- 58:40Speaker 6: dot com and it's got yeah yeah, it's got the
- 58:45Speaker 6: all your draft scores over there.
- 58:48Speaker 2: What key have you updated the Patreon to say drass
- 58:51Speaker 2: score instead of z score.
- 58:53Speaker 6: No, probably not No, nor has he updated any the
- 58:59Speaker 6: the any of the Patreon levels nor.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm just just talk about it. We're like, oh,
- 59:04Speaker 1: we're going to talk about it, and then we just
- 59:06Speaker 1: didn't we just make the decisions like usually do just
- 59:11Speaker 1: make this all right? Dras car So we're working or
- 59:15Speaker 1: we're putting. We're putting.
- 59:17Speaker 4: You.
- 59:19Speaker 1: Yeah, get a drascre. He charges hourly. Definitely not a
- 59:26Speaker 1: hooker anyway. Nope, I helped.
- 59:30Speaker 2: My drass score is one twenty.
