- 0:00Speaker 1: It is time for me to go over the five
- 0:02Speaker 1: things that I need to see in this game. Number
- 0:06Speaker 1: one is that, I think this is my number one
- 0:09Speaker 1: by like a mile. Don't have an Ole Miss hangover.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Ole Miss was an emotional game. The Swamp was insane.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Florida jumped into the top 10. Now you're going to
- 0:18Speaker 1: get a less glamorous environment. against a team that just lost.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Championship-level teams don't need a big-game atmosphere to bring big-game intensity.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Missouri has had issues starting slowly themselves. They fell behind
- 0:32Speaker 1: Mississippi State 14-0 in the first quarter last week. Florida
- 0:36Speaker 1: should make them doubt themselves immediately. So I need a
- 0:40Speaker 1: fast start. No sleepwalking, no 10-0 Missouri lead while Florida
- 0:44Speaker 1: figures out where it is or what it wants to do.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Start with your foot on the gas. Number two is
- 0:50Speaker 1: keep feeding Jaden Baugh, but also don't become one-dimensional. Baugh
- 0:54Speaker 1: has 600 rushing yards this season, five consecutive 100-yard games
- 0:57Speaker 1: dating back to 2025, 142 yards and three touchdowns against
- 1:02Speaker 1: Ole Miss. He's averaging 173.2 rushing yards during that five-game streak.
- 1:07Speaker 1: And they should absolutely want to test Missouri's front. But
- 1:10Speaker 1: here's the next evolution. If Missouri starts selling out against Baugh,
- 1:15Speaker 1: make them pay immediately with Philo. You don't want eight-
- 1:19Speaker 1: and nine-man boxes becoming a reason the offense gets bogged down.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Let's see. Hey, Allie, I can't wait until we get
- 1:26Speaker 1: 10 games so the other podcast fans you're on can
- 1:30Speaker 1: eat crow. Guys, I literally cannot wait until Florida wins
- 1:33Speaker 1: this game and I can go on State of the
- 1:35Speaker 1: State and rub it into Miami fans' faces. It's going
- 1:39Speaker 1: to be glorious. All right, my number three, limit the
- 1:42Speaker 1: explosive passing plays. I think this is Missouri's cleanest route
- 1:46Speaker 1: to making this game uncomfortable. Austin Simmons has thrown 11
- 1:50Speaker 1: touchdown passes, and he has no interceptions. He should have
- 1:52Speaker 1: had some last week. Caden Lee last week, 11 catches,
- 1:55Speaker 1: 156 yards, and two touchdowns. Mississippi State won, but Missouri
- 2:01Speaker 1: still threw for almost 300 yards. Florida's defense has created
- 2:05Speaker 1: some havoc, but the pass coverage hasn't been as dominant
- 2:09Speaker 1: as the front seven. So I need our defense to
- 2:12Speaker 1: make Missouri earn 10 and 12 play drives. Don't give
- 2:16Speaker 1: Simmons easy 40-yard chunks, Make it hard. Number four, this
- 2:22Speaker 1: is a big one. Win third down. Both on offense
- 2:24Speaker 1: and defense, but especially defensively. Florida has had moments this
- 2:27Speaker 1: season where third down has kept opposing offenses alive. Missouri
- 2:32Speaker 1: cannot be allowed to string together long drives. Keep ball
- 2:35Speaker 1: on the sideline and turn this into a possession game.
- 2:38Speaker 1: And then offensively, third and two needs to feel automatic
- 2:42Speaker 1: with this offensive line and this running back room. Stay
- 2:45Speaker 1: out of third and long. Stay ahead of the sticks.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And then number five, clean up the penalties. This is
- 2:52Speaker 1: something that I have been watching really closely. Florida is
- 2:55Speaker 1: averaging roughly 89 yards per game in penalties. That is
- 3:00Speaker 1: among the highest totals nationally through four games. You can
- 3:03Speaker 1: survive against FAU and Campbell. You even survived it against
- 3:07Speaker 1: Ole Miss and Auburn. But on the road, a holding
- 3:11Speaker 1: penalty that turns second and four into second and 14
- 3:13Speaker 1: is can completely change a drive. So I need no
- 3:18Speaker 1: pre-snap nonsense, no unnecessary personal fouls, no giving Missouri free
- 3:22Speaker 1: possessions or free field position. Clean up the penalties. We're
- 3:29Speaker 1: going to get into the keys in the game in
- 3:30Speaker 1: a minute, but I just want to look at some
- 3:32Speaker 1: of the interesting things about this game. You know, first
- 3:36Speaker 1: of all, Jaden Baugh, Heisman Ross here, we've mentioned that
- 3:38Speaker 1: 600 yards rushing through four games. He is only the
- 3:41Speaker 1: third player ever, along with Emmitt Smith and Fred Taylor,
- 3:43Speaker 1: to rush for 100-plus yards in five consecutive games. That
- 3:47Speaker 1: is such a cool stat, such awesome company that he's in.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Looking to see him add to that total for sure.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Missouri leads this series all-time 7-6 since they joined the
- 4:00Speaker 1: SEC in 2012. Actually, I take that back. They lead
- 4:03Speaker 1: all-time 7-6 since joining the SEC. They're actually 6-6, but
- 4:08Speaker 1: they have the lead in Columbia. They have won four times.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Florida has won twice on the road there. And the
- 4:14Speaker 1: last trip, Missouri won 33-31. It's that field goal at
- 4:19Speaker 1: the end that we talked about earlier in the show.
- 4:21Speaker 1: So Florida has lost its last two games in Columbia combined.
- 4:25Speaker 1: by three points. The first meeting in this series was 1966.
- 4:30Speaker 1: It was in the Sugar Bowl following the 1965 season.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Missouri went up 20 to nothing before Steve Spurrier, yes,
- 4:37Speaker 1: that Steve Spurrier, nearly engineered a massive comeback. Florida ultimately
- 4:41Speaker 1: lost 20 to 18, but Spurrier was 16 of 23
- 4:45Speaker 1: for 198 yards in the fourth quarter alone. So apparently Florida,
- 4:49Speaker 1: Missouri has been weird since day one. Right now, this
- 4:52Speaker 1: line is somewhere between 4.5 and 5.5 points, depending on
- 4:56Speaker 1: what your favorite Vegas site is to check. The over-under
- 4:59Speaker 1: is 56.5. Okay, so let's see my three keys to
- 5:05Speaker 1: the game. Number one, run the damn ball. It's not complicated.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Florida's averaging 260 rushing yards per game, 5.9 yards per carry.
- 5:14Speaker 1: And against SEC competition, 272.5 rushing yards through two conference games.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Missouri knows it's coming. Run it anyway. Jaden Baugh, Clark,
- 5:25Speaker 1: Philo if it's appropriate. Make Missouri prove for four quarters
- 5:30Speaker 1: that it can handle Florida physically. Number two, make Austin
- 5:34Speaker 1: Simmons uncomfortable. You can't allow him to stand in a
- 5:37Speaker 1: clean pocket. So far, 11 touchdowns, zero interceptions. We need
- 5:42Speaker 1: some sacks. We need some pressures. Florida doesn't necessarily need
- 5:45Speaker 1: five sacks, but they do need hits and tip balls
- 5:48Speaker 1: and forced rollouts, hurried throws, negative plays, and most importantly,
- 5:52Speaker 1: make him put the football in danger. The longer his
- 5:56Speaker 1: zero interception streak continues Saturday, the better Missouri's chances get. Now,
- 6:01Speaker 1: key number three, this is the last key, win the
- 6:04Speaker 1: first and last five minutes of each half. We talk about,
- 6:08Speaker 1: we call it the middle eight on this show, but
- 6:10Speaker 1: you could look at the first you know, the five
- 6:12Speaker 1: minutes going into halftime, the five minutes coming out of halftime.
- 6:16Speaker 1: This is a road game formula that I love though.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Missouri trailed Mississippi state 14, nothing after the first quarter.
- 6:23Speaker 1: And then they were outscored 14, nothing in the fourth quarter.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Don't let Missouri hang around. Florida has enough offensive firepower
- 6:30Speaker 1: right now that a 10 or 14 point run can
- 6:32Speaker 1: completely change the personality of this game. Start fast, finish halves,
- 6:37Speaker 1: step on them when you have the chance. That is
- 6:39Speaker 1: my biggest regret about the Auburn game is I felt
- 6:41Speaker 1: like Florida kind of took their foot off the gas
- 6:44Speaker 1: a tiny bit and it let them back in. That
- 6:47Speaker 1: game was never in peril. If you watch the entire thing,
- 6:51Speaker 1: I feel like the box score feels very different than
- 6:53Speaker 1: it felt when we watched the game. But never take
- 6:56Speaker 1: your foot off the gas. Let me check your guys' comments.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Punch them in the mouth early. I hope Florida wins
- 7:01Speaker 1: the coin toss and defers. Yeah, because then they can
- 7:03Speaker 1: have that ball coming out of halftime. Get Duke Clark
- 7:06Speaker 1: more carries. Special teams. I think special teams is really
- 7:08Speaker 1: worth mentioning. I think special teams was such a crucial
- 7:12Speaker 1: part of that Ole Miss game. When they instrumented a
- 7:14Speaker 1: 13-play drive that took more than five minutes to bring
- 7:17Speaker 1: it within three, and then Florida has a kickoff return
- 7:20Speaker 1: for 74 yards eight seconds later, scores three plays after that,
- 7:24Speaker 1: incredibly demoralizing. Florida's special teams have started to become a weapon,
- 7:30Speaker 1: not a liability, and it's a good day over here
- 7:33Speaker 1: when that happens. Want to keep live shows going? Make
- 7:36Speaker 1: sure you're subscribed. Yes, Tim, make sure you subscribe. Like
- 7:40Speaker 1: every video. I appreciate it. If you are in this
- 7:43Speaker 1: live broadcast right now and you are not subscribed to
- 7:45Speaker 1: this channel, what are you doing? About 50% of people
- 7:48Speaker 1: that watch our videos aren't subscribed to the channel. It's free.
- 7:51Speaker 1: It takes two seconds. So please, please, please do it
- 7:53Speaker 1: for me. Brian says, kick return, touchdown incoming. Got to
- 7:58Speaker 1: throw it to their secondary is not good. Pass defense
- 8:00Speaker 1: is awful. And Florida is going to turn it in
- 8:02Speaker 1: the seventh gear against them. We're going to see. All right, guys,
- 8:05Speaker 1: drum roll, please. I actually am predicting a low-scoring game.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I have Florida winning 24-20, and maybe this is just
- 8:13Speaker 1: me being incredibly hopeful. I want Florida to have to
- 8:16Speaker 1: win an uncomfortable battle now when they are playing a
- 8:20Speaker 1: team that I do think they are stronger than and
- 8:22Speaker 1: they can overcome. I want some adversity for Aaron Filo.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I want this team to maybe have to win differently
- 8:30Speaker 1: than with Jaden Baugh. I think it's a little bit closer.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I think the weather may play a part in it
- 8:35Speaker 1: as well. And so that's something to watch. Most of
- 8:37Speaker 1: the Southeast is going to be very wet on Saturday.
- 8:41Speaker 1: So whether or not that plays a role remains to
- 8:44Speaker 1: be seen, but it's definitely a possibility. Before we get
- 8:47Speaker 1: out of here, I want to give some love over
- 8:49Speaker 1: to Alumni Hall. Guys, So many of you have been
- 8:52Speaker 1: using the code. We got our numbers today, and it

- 9:22Speaker 1: Allie sent you. Use the code PEAK15. We appreciate Alumni
- 9:25Speaker 1: Hall for all their support. All right, guys. We're going
- 9:28Speaker 1: to read the last couple comments and we're going to
- 9:30Speaker 1: get out of here. Florida keeps the 50 streak alive. 8310UF. Neo,
- 9:34Speaker 1: if that happens, we're going to take this comment and
- 9:37Speaker 1: we're going to play it all week long next week.
- 9:40Speaker 1: We win by two or three scores. Brian says Missouri
- 9:42Speaker 1: is in the Midwest. They are technically in the Midwest.
- 9:44Speaker 1: But when I looked at the weather, it looked like
- 9:46Speaker 1: it was going to go all the way through the
- 9:47Speaker 1: southeast up into the Midwest. So we shall see. We
- 9:50Speaker 1: win by two or three scores. It's a defense-driven victory.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I think that it will be, and I am excited
- 9:55Speaker 1: to see that. Going to see a block punt for
- 9:57Speaker 1: Gator Nation. You know that that's my favorite. They could
- 10:00Speaker 1: never hold us to 24, not that defense. Well, we
- 10:03Speaker 1: shall see. We shall see for sure. But I appreciate
- 10:06Speaker 1: all of you guys for tuning in. As always, go Gators.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Make sure you tune in the rest of the week
- 10:11Speaker 1: because I have a lot more content coming your way.
