- 0:00Not everybody is in a relationship. Not everybody has that, you know?
- 0:03And not everybody absolutely needs it, you know? Some people are good not being with somebody else.
- 0:09Or what do you think, Jessie? On the other hand, they really want to be with
- 0:12somebody, and there's just nobody good out there. Nobody good? Yeah.
- 0:18Okay. So I know relationships are very, very, very tough.
- 0:24And we've been together for 15 years now, over 15 years.
- 0:30It will be our 16th this may but it's
- 0:33so it's been a while since i've been out on
- 0:36the playing field you know and so and same with you
- 0:39same with you but what do you what
- 0:41would you say to someone that is wanting to
- 0:45be in a in a relationship and i have a couple friends that
- 0:47are in that position and then they try to find go to
- 0:50church and find somebody there's nobody they try to
- 0:53do facebook dating and it's just creepers
- 0:57i mean they show their true colors
- 1:00so early on it's not they're not even trying to
- 1:03hide it you know like what are you
- 1:05talking about like why are they creepers i mean it's
- 1:08not creepers just just big turn offs like
- 1:11right away like no one's even trying to hide
- 1:14their true colors even in the beginning well
- 1:17i mean it's probably a good thing to cut them loose before you
- 1:20get too involved but and people i've
- 1:23been talking to lately they're saying like you don't set
- 1:26the bar too high you do show neglect the beginning
- 1:29so that you can make it better as you go along have
- 1:33you heard this is this a new fad or no i i just been hearing someone says that
- 1:38that's like andy bernard it did make me think of exactly like andy bernard yes
- 1:42well i like your dress but you could have better hair or something everything
- 1:47has to have another A backhanded comment. Yeah, backhanded comment. Don't do that.
- 1:52No, don't do that. And they might have just been saying it in jest. I don't know.
- 1:57But so with people out there that are seeking someone to be with,
- 2:01you know, because that is a real problem today is people feeling lonely and not having someone.
- 2:08And I mean, I wanted to kind of put this out there for everyone out that jumps
- 2:12in the chat that wants to put anything in there.
- 2:14Let us know what is your current relationship status? Are you single? Are you dating?
- 2:21Are you married? and then also where
- 2:25if you are married or with someone like a boyfriend or.
- 2:28Girlfriend where did you first meet and where.
- 2:31Did or where would you claim that you first met.
- 2:34At because i think that sometimes can be a little bit different because we
- 2:38met at a couple maybe a couple different places but usually the place
- 2:40we claim is the ymca that's usually
- 2:44where we started actually talking but we did kind
- 2:46of cross paths cross paths before then yeah so
- 2:50but i and then like because i mean some people
- 2:53are don't want to say exactly where they met because maybe they're
- 2:55not too happy about it you know like everybody's different you
- 2:58know but what do you think i'm yeah i'm thinking
- 3:01about like all right because if someone said i met my husband
- 3:04or wife at a bar would you think that's a bad thing
- 3:08i'd say that that like a bar is like a wonderful place
- 3:11to meet people it's just a restaurant yeah a restaurant yeah like
- 3:14or even a club or something like that like that because
- 3:17those places are are there for that
- 3:20purpose you know so so people can socialize and meet
- 3:22someone and i've heard like actual clubs
- 3:26and like loud environment the music blaring
- 3:29it does create the atmosphere of if
- 3:32to have to kind of get into that kind of personal space
- 3:35because you got to get closer you got to get closer so what'd
- 3:39you say what'd you say and like so i can actually hear you and
- 3:42that can actually that can be good because it breaks down that
- 3:45barrier where you can actually or that
- 3:48bubble yeah that some that people might have up yeah but
- 3:51what do you think is that yeah is that kind of awkward is that kind of no that's
- 3:54true like as far as places you don't like well admit you met them like it used
- 4:00to be it shouldn't be but for some reason some people like oh i met him online.
- 4:04On a dating site who cares most people are doing that now that's very common.
- 4:09I remember, wouldn't you think like a while ago, like it's kind of like I'm
- 4:13online or something like but it shouldn't be like that. It's like.
- 4:17That's where you go. People like-minded people go to find somebody. What's wrong with that?
- 4:22I, yeah, I don't, yeah, I, I, I know people that would feel like that,
- 4:26you know, like you feel like you are just,
- 4:29that's the only way that you can find someone is because it,
- 4:33I mean, it's tough to really meet someone like to actually start dating because it's not, you think,
- 4:38Oh, we just had a very serendipitous encounter at the grocery store or at church
- 4:44or at, or something or whatever.
- 4:46Or they just ran across each other or I met
- 4:49someone in London you know that like some weird
- 4:52place you know not what do you think about like soulmates
- 4:55is is Pete is a god
- 4:59kind of orchestrating this like are we meant to
- 5:01have one person in our life that's out there and I
- 5:05was taking a little bit deep what do you think about that yes but I
- 5:08mean some people meet their soulmate and then they might
- 5:11pass away and they meet someone else and they're just as happy with
- 5:15them you know I think that is tough that is very tough you know and what is
- 5:20like what is your definition of a soulmate and what is like what is like i guess
- 5:24like who you're just destined to be with destined i mean i guess or just who
- 5:29god wants you to be with who like i think of it as it's like you.
- 5:34You're that that person out there is the one who completes
- 5:37your heart like you you feel complete but i
- 5:40mean but it's always different it's but that's dangerous because as
- 5:45far as the christian mind worldview i guess you don't a
- 5:48person does not complete you you're complete in christ
- 5:51and that's why i think that's why people might are unhappy
- 5:54or unhappy in their relationships because they think that you're supposed to make
- 5:56me completely happy and you can't i can't make you completely happy only god
- 6:00can complete you that way yeah yeah i do think of that because That is a really
- 6:05good point because before it was weird in our relationship because I just became
- 6:10a Christian and then we met and started talking and hanging out.
- 6:14But like before that, I was always searching for someone and I'm sure you were
- 6:18too. You know, everybody is searching for someone.
- 6:20And I found that I wasn't ever.
- 6:23Going to be satisfied or like fulfilled in whoever I was finding.
- 6:28And I didn't ever feel at peace, whoever, like the time, the people I spent
- 6:32my time with and all that, like girls or whatever, because, and I think God maybe put it that way.
- 6:38He, because I needed to find my peace in him first and completeness in him,
- 6:42because if I'm just out there,
- 6:44just trying to fill that void of
- 6:48whatever it is loneliness in my heart without meeting
- 6:51him first if i'm just going to put it on another person that
- 6:55i'm going to be let down and even after you found him you're still going to
- 6:58be let down but yeah like what do you mean by that by me what do you mean we
- 7:04let each other down all the time it's just human nature no one can be completely
- 7:07whatever what you need to be yeah So what do you think?
- 7:12To me, marriage is definitely a, it's a furnace. It's a crucible. It's a testing.
- 7:19It can be. It can definitely be.
- 7:22Are you agreeing? or so kind of makes
- 7:25it sound bad but yeah it it but like
- 7:28i don't think like we we always think
- 7:31about everything has to be we're not happy until we find
- 7:34that person that makes us feel in love we're in that's our that's the thing
- 7:37i fell out of love as opposed to the christian mindset is you it's love is an
- 7:43action and it's like it's something you do it's not something that you just
- 7:47it's not a feeling it's something that you you carry out you live out you know daily you know,
- 7:53it doesn't, you might not feel it, but you still do it kind of thing.
- 7:56And I mean, I'm in our marriage. I would say apart from the grace of God,
- 8:01you know, we would not have not have made it.
- 8:04And, you know, and apart from the grace of God, we, you know,
- 8:06we going forward, you know, we need his grace daily.
- 8:09I mean, I always think about apart without Jesus, you know, we would easily
- 8:13fall, fall away, you know, and not because sometimes we want to kill each other, you know.
- 8:18But I don't think we should set people up for failure and put them in a light
- 8:23that like marriage is the end all be all be all and you're gonna find you're
- 8:27gonna be nothing's gonna go wrong it's like you're gonna have a honeymoon forever
- 8:30it's never gonna stop everything's perfect forever and ever whereas,
- 8:35that's why people do the whole marriage counseling before they get married i
- 8:40mean that's when we started kind of kind of seeing different seeing differently
- 8:44during the counseling or so that was big thing.
- 8:47I, it was tough. I loved the, the pastor that we did it with,
- 8:50you know, but it was, it was, it was definitely tough, you know,
- 8:55like just like, cause we were actually having to really actually talk this out.
- 8:59What are your wants? What are my wants? What are you like?
- 9:03And it did not, it was not completely smooth as I had hoped.
- 9:09It was, it was tough, you know? And I really remember our very first fights started happening.
- 9:14Like I can remember like probably six months before we got married.
- 9:18I remember it was at Christmas where I really like you went to your grandpa
- 9:22Moody's and grandma Moody.
- 9:24They're, they're like for Christmas or whatever. I remember we were fighting
- 9:27for some reason. You were, you were there with.
- 9:30No, I wasn't there. I wasn't, I wasn't, I wasn't there, but we were like, for
- 9:33some reason we were starting like kind of
- 9:35to disagree i don't know we were like
- 9:38five six months away from the wedding and
- 9:42we were starting to kind of see differently and
- 9:45it's tough you know it might be like when
- 9:48you're dating and stuff you want to put just your best foot forward and
- 9:50all we had to worry about was where are we going to eat and what movie are
- 9:53i'm going to see and i'd be like i don't care like i don't care you know
- 9:56what is there to fight about and then when you start
- 9:59to get like commitment in there you almost like almost pushing the boundaries like
- 10:01are you really gonna stick around you know and
- 10:04see how serious are you maybe yeah there's a
- 10:07lot of that definitely i mean there's a lot of that and then just remember
- 10:10when we were scanning for our wedding stuff what was it called the registry
- 10:14thing we started to see oh we have different opinions about things that's when
- 10:18you started getting an opinion well like i said what else is there to to have
- 10:23an opinion about when you're just you know going out or watching that show or whatever.
- 10:28Nothing i don't care about that you want to make the other person think that
- 10:32you are perfect you know you're just you're in a delicate flower you're an angel
- 10:37nothing you go with everything you are or whatever and when once you jesse once
- 10:43you said i do you just said now things are changing,
- 10:47no you didn't but but it did but it did things
- 10:51did get tough and i you know well everybody
- 10:54brings their baggage everybody brings
- 10:57their issues everybody's got issues you know i
- 11:00had no idea about how you were before about what just certain things yeah oh
- 11:07yeah oh yeah i'm i'm a go-getter though i'm a go-getter that's what you're that's
- 11:13what you're inspired by right that i don't know,
- 11:18but what do you so jesse valentine's day people were out there searching for
- 11:23someone you know what would you say to them?
- 11:26You know, what, what do you think? What, like, what should people be seeking
- 11:29and doing and how, how can they meet the right person if they have not yet?
- 11:34See, that's the thing. I always, not everyone is a Christian out there.
- 11:38Not everyone cares about what God wants and everything, but that's what I think about.
- 11:42So if someone's coming out from that angle, I'd be like, you just follow after God.
- 11:47You're walking on your path and you look to your right and your left and in life.
- 11:51And whoever's kind of doing the same thing alongside with you,
- 11:55that's who you can keep walking with.
- 11:57But it's not always that easy just to find somebody. Yeah.
- 12:02To me, I think of it, you can't even be looking for somebody.
- 12:05To me, you got to even almost, from what I remember, you got to be out of that
- 12:09mindset because if you're looking for, I mean, everybody's different.
- 12:12But to me, I think almost you got to be just looking towards Christ and living
- 12:18your life for him and going towards him and doing whatever.
- 12:22And like you said, God will bring the right person into your life.
- 12:25I agree with that. But then it's like, i
- 12:28always have this conversation with my friend molly like do you
- 12:31just in life do you just sit there and wait for him
- 12:34to be like okay you go to this college throw it in your face here
- 12:37here's your husband drop him in your lap or do you just go out and be like i'm
- 12:42gonna try this and see if it works out or date i mean that's how you why you
- 12:46date people is you kind of just try them out i mean they're like if you're not
- 12:52in college you don't you know you have a job that you go to let's Say you're
- 12:55a teacher. There's not many men there.
- 12:57How are you supposed to ever find anybody unless you look for somebody like online or something?
- 13:03Yeah, I mean, that's... Are you saying like, just don't be obsessed about it?
- 13:08And like, I got to find a man. I mean, I've had friends, boys and girls.
- 13:14They're like, I just want to find a good Christian girl or guy.
- 13:17But except they're different ages or something. I couldn't put them together,
- 13:20but... Yeah. I don't know.
- 13:23It's really sad to me. You have a good Christian, my girlfriends,
- 13:29a couple of them, who just wanted a good guy.
- 13:33And it just hasn't happened yet. It's been a very long time.
- 13:36It's very sad. We don't need to make it seem like the people,
- 13:40if they don't have someone, that their life is ruined, their life is a failure.
- 13:46It's not. But if they really want it, I mean. Because, I mean,
- 13:51the Bible makes it seem like it's almost a greater gift if you can go live your
- 13:56life without someone. It makes it seem like that, you know?
- 13:59I know. Paul says, I wish everyone was like I am. But he wasn't wanting a spouse.
- 14:05That's fine. But these people want it. And it's, you know, that companionship
- 14:09and that love, you know? Yeah. It's sad.
- 14:12Well, so say you're on a first date. And I wanted to actually even talk about dating in general.
- 14:19Do you because I've went back and forth about this about dating and
- 14:23Because we used to say courting. You're courting someone. You were the one.
- 14:26We never said that. You introduced me to that phrase. No, I didn't.
- 14:29I never heard of such a thing. But it made sense.
- 14:32It's just a more holy version of dating, I guess. Because I've went back and
- 14:37forth. I think it's good to date.
- 14:40And I don't know many people that disagree. But maybe some people do disagree with the dating of it.
- 14:47What does that mean? They throw another label on it.
- 14:50They call it courting. you know but in that i think it's the same thing well
- 14:55you're just you're going you're getting together someone you're learning if
- 14:58you see if you if you're compatible is it i don't know,
- 15:01there's got to be a definitely a difference this can't be just this thing that
- 15:05we create a different word for no reason it's got to be something yeah well
- 15:08either way i i think dating's good i think dating's good because i mean i the
- 15:13fundamental test of it is what would we promote for our children,
- 15:18you know, and are we going to let them just go out one-on-one with somebody
- 15:24as opposed to being in a group with people like,
- 15:27because you can trust your children all day long, but like, you don't know if
- 15:32you can trust the other people that they're with, you know? Yep.
- 15:36And I think guys, especially they are the gas pedal to the metal.
- 15:42Their mind is one thing, one thing only, you know, especially in high school.
- 15:47And especially, you know, I'm not going to like quickly, easily forget about
- 15:50it just because I have 20 years now of a different mindset.
- 15:56I can still remember what it was and how all the kids were, you know,
- 16:00and I'm sure they are like that still, you know,
- 16:03guys are like, if they're not in a fundamental or in a, I don't even say fundamental,
- 16:08just like in a Christian like community, they're just, all they are is influenced by the world.
- 16:14And that's they have the world's values you know and they see just what tv tells
- 16:19them what a relationship should be you know and it can be not so wholesome and
- 16:24good yeah so i mean we almost have to be protective of our children you know
- 16:28like in a sense you know like but.
- 16:31You know, like, how do you allow love to flourish? You know,
- 16:34how do you how do you do that?
- 16:36You know, like as far as like our kids growing up? Yeah, I think you almost have to. I don't know.
- 16:41They're in high school. I mean, what are they? I mean, yeah,
- 16:43people have high school sweethearts. They marry them sometimes. But I don't know.
- 16:48I'd be good if in high school, I go out in groups.
- 16:50And if he wants to come over here, that's fine.
- 16:55Yeah, because I think what even when we were dating together,
- 16:59like a lot of times I would come over to your parents house you know and
- 17:01that we would hang out there you know and mom would be like go out
- 17:05you're always here i didn't want to spend money
- 17:08we just wanted to hang out at home is it yeah i mean
- 17:10and that's and that's what's fun you know you just want to be with
- 17:14the person you know you don't want to be out you don't need to be like we we went
- 17:17out you weren't you weren't a person that oh yeah we went out occasionally but
- 17:20like you weren't a person that like needed to go out
- 17:23and spend money or anything like that honey you're a diamond in
- 17:26the raft is that what it's called rough a diamond
- 17:29in the rough yes okay yeah my mom
- 17:32got on to me about that today we're not shopping and like
- 17:35through lunchtime and i i didn't stop to eat anywhere
- 17:38because i like my own food and i didn't want people she's like
- 17:42yeah i just like you to save your money i brought snacks well
- 17:45that's that's how you are and i i'm i'm very thankful for that
- 17:48you know not not every not every guy has that a wife that is so careful with
- 17:54money you know it's a good thing you can say it what cheap you're not you're
- 17:59not cheap well i don't know that's okay you prefer frugal yeah you're good with
- 18:04money you care about money you know and i i'm the same way you know.
- 18:09Jesse don't let's not go down that road okay jesse so
- 18:12all right on so say people are dating now like let's go through we're gonna
- 18:18go through the top 10 questions to ask on a first date okay so i'm gonna go
- 18:23through these because it'd be funner to hear what your response would be okay
- 18:27jesse number one jesse number one what's something you're really passionate about,
- 18:33god okay all right should be more passionate about but because that's what i
- 18:37tell my friends who are trying to date around.
- 18:39Just put it right out there in the beginning. One of the first questions,
- 18:42where are they with God? And if they're not, you know? Yeah.
- 18:46But I think a lot of people aren't in that mindset. I know, and that's why I
- 18:50don't— You're like, who are you attracted to, you know?
- 18:53And you still need that if you're a Christian or not. But it's like,
- 18:57how are you coming at me with a question? I'm always kind of thinking about the Christian mindset.
- 19:01But I mean, if you're—I don't even know how to think the other way.
- 19:04I mean, just similar values, I guess.
- 19:07Which I don't even because I mean like if you that's got to be the biggest thing
- 19:12but like I think there is a difference between like maybe if you're just out
- 19:16there on the market and you want to find someone if someone says that they're.
- 19:21Not a Christian then that would be
- 19:24one thing as opposed to someone that like maybe just
- 19:27in name saying they're a Christian when like you might
- 19:29not be so sure I say if it might be a deal
- 19:32breaker at the beginning if they're openly not like
- 19:35a Christian at all you know if they just don't even want any part
- 19:38of it but yeah that is it is
- 19:41like we might seem all like hoity-toity or not
- 19:44really or just like it always comes across that
- 19:47way i understand you know uh holier than thou but
- 19:50like it is a huge thing it is like if you get that
- 19:53wrong that's going to set you up completely for.
- 19:56Failure you know and you're going to be unequally yoked to someone you
- 19:59know even if it's just for a short time maybe like maybe i guess it
- 20:02is who you marry you don't want to marry someone that you're off
- 20:05you're not aligned on that you know
- 20:08you have to be on the same page with god
- 20:11and in christ you know that's what i tell
- 20:14the kids like it's hard enough being married
- 20:17as a christian when you're both christians you know can
- 20:20imagine if you didn't have that holding you together
- 20:23even harder yeah but i
- 20:26mean the divorce rate in christians is just the same so i
- 20:29mean i've heard different studies about that i've heard that people say
- 20:32that and then but that could be just because a
- 20:35lot of people that are a christian in name only
- 20:38you know but they don't necessarily no one knows
- 20:40but god right you know but yeah that's that's definitely a
- 20:44tough one what would you say to that then what i'm passionate about
- 20:47yeah if i'm just just meeting you for the very first time yeah
- 20:49like which you already did you i i would say yeah what i'm passionate about
- 20:54yeah i'm a christian i'm passionate about christ like i would start off with
- 20:58that you know set it like set it how like the most important thing in my life
- 21:04i would start with that yeah do you remember right there in the finish floor yes yeah yeah.
- 21:09And I said, hey, Brandon, what's been going on?
- 21:12And what did you say? I said, I've had a lot of big changes in my life.
- 21:18And I was like, like what?
- 21:20And I said. I said, I just became a Christian. And I did like an Elaine to you,
- 21:24I think. I said, get out. I am too.
- 21:27And I probably was, I was setting like, I was saying, you're not getting through
- 21:32Matthew, to me, until you get through Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John,
- 21:35you know? And I'm like, they're my best friends.
- 21:36We're fine. because i did like i i probably
- 21:40i didn't know anything about you so i was really just
- 21:43throwing it out there i had no idea about you at all so i did set
- 21:46it you know i just you know i put it put it out there you know i because i that
- 21:51was the most important thing in my life that was like and i had just become
- 21:55a christian so that's all i was thinking about all i was taught like talking
- 21:59about that's all i cared about you know so so that was like it was definitely
- 22:02the most important That was almost like the fuel.
- 22:05I already kind of like Jane and everything, but fuel for the fire.
- 22:09Just learning that, you know.
- 22:11All right, number two. How do you usually spend your weekends?
- 22:15So these are good questions to ask if you're dating someone.
- 22:18Just out there. How do you usually spend your weekends? You're asking me? Yeah.
- 22:24Currently? Sorry, we're on a first date. I'm just asking you,
- 22:27how do you usually spend your weekends?
- 22:30Think about like... With our kids. No.
- 22:33No, we're not married. We're on a date. So back then?
- 22:37I guess. Or yeah. I'm going to watch the movies with my friends.
- 22:40That's what you would say? I guess.
- 22:42How do you usually spend your weekends? I would probably have said like,
- 22:46oh, I play some sports. I play basketball. I like basketball a lot.
- 22:49Because that was my thing.
- 22:51Probably basketball. I would probably try to make it sound cool.
- 22:54I go out and hang out with friends. I do stuff like that.
- 22:58All right, number three. What's the best trip you've ever taken? Our honeymoon.
- 23:02I'm just joking. best trip cruise with my family okay
- 23:05what i would say best trip i've ever taken oh gosh
- 23:09see i've never i've never been about a person about
- 23:12conventionality i that's my thing i'm not i can't just speak in conventional
- 23:16conventionalism like i got it like i it's it's painful for me to just i don't
- 23:22even know how to describe it but what you mean like like chitty chat yeah and
- 23:26just like I guess what is expected to say,
- 23:30like to be said in a certain sense and that people are good with talking or whatever,
- 23:34small talk and anything like that, or just something in general.
- 23:38If I feel like it's the thing of the moment to say, I can't say it.
- 23:43I have to force myself to say that because I'm not like that.
- 23:46I want to almost... Then nobody wants you to be like that.
- 23:49But a lot of people are a lot more personable and they're able to interact with
- 23:53people that have that capability. so but if you ask me that what best trip I've
- 23:59ever taken I don't know I'd probably say going down to Mizzou with a like.
- 24:04My class you know like to to the wrestling state championship
- 24:07and just doing that and hanging out with friends just something
- 24:11yeah all right four do you have a favorite book movie or tv show pearl harbor
- 24:17movie oh yeah i would probably know most of these for you scarface yeah jesse's
- 24:22favorite movie scarface no
- 24:23yeah my favorite movie is scarface oh yeah yeah tony montano Tony Montana.
- 24:31Yes. So, okay. You can't? That's okay.
- 24:35He's up there. He's always watching. He's looking down on us.
- 24:38Yes. So, yours would be Pearl Harbor.
- 24:42And TV show. I could probably say Friends. You would say Friends.
- 24:47Friends for you? Office. My favorite TV show?
- 24:51Maybe. That's tough. Maybe. I would probably default to Friends. Yeah.
- 24:55All right. So, number five. what's your
- 24:58ideal way to spend a free evening so
- 25:01what what's up what's your
- 25:04ideal way to spend a free evening my lady like by
- 25:07myself anything what do you got well i
- 25:10didn't have this 15 years ago but tiktok in
- 25:13front of the fire tiktok in front of a fire that's cool yeah
- 25:17i mean that i think that's most people today you know that's to me it would
- 25:22be just honestly right now it would be reading it would be reading and having
- 25:29I drink rock stars energy drinks that's my favorite thing in the world I love it you know,
- 25:35i mean yeah i love like the it's probably
- 25:38terrible for you and i i've seen you know
- 25:41horrific videos of people that drink energy drinks but
- 25:44it's got some good stuff in there i love i love i love it you know that and
- 25:48coffee i love coffee coffee and reading a book you and caffeine get along dude
- 25:53yeah but yeah so that's what you but you are you shy away from the caffeine
- 25:57i cannot believe it but i'm good with that you know it's keeping you the way
- 26:01you are you know it's keeping you Boring. Fresh.
- 26:04No, I mean, you should see her on caffeine.
- 26:08Remember the very first time, whenever I saw you on caffeine,
- 26:11she was pounding some tea, and she started going, da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da. Dancing a jig.
- 26:16Yeah, she was doing a jig right in front of me. Right in front of me.
- 26:20Unashamed. So, she didn't even know what she was doing, and I just called it
- 26:23out. I said, Jesse, do you know what you're doing right now?
- 26:25And she just started doing it.
- 26:26She was a little elf. I'm not done it. A little elf. Okay.
- 26:30Okay. All right, six. What's something new you've tried or learned recently?
- 26:36That's a tough one. That's definitely.
- 26:38The first thing that came to mind back then, I recently ran a barrel race I've never done before.
- 26:44Like riding a horse? Not just riding a horse, doing a barrel race on a horse.
- 26:48That's what you would say? I guess.
- 26:50Because I've never done it before. These questions are gold.
- 26:53What's something new I've tried recently or I've learned?
- 26:56Oh, man. And you're thinking back then? See, that's hard because that's a long time ago.
- 27:01Are you supposed to be answering it like you would back then yeah you're on
- 27:04you're on a date you're you can it can be any time of your life you know just
- 27:08you're on a date you're on what you say whatever you want you don't it can be
- 27:12anything you're there are no restrictions.
- 27:15Nothing is holding you back you are i it
- 27:18is because i can't answer now because everything is tied up with you
- 27:21guys that's sweet okay so nothing is
- 27:24my own yes but it's good
- 27:27it's good you marriage you get inner
- 27:30everything is interwoven everything is completely interwoven and
- 27:33it's just just the way it is but something
- 27:36i i wouldn't even know how to even answer that like i'd be like that's a good
- 27:40question i don't know what i would say to that what was the question what's
- 27:44something new you've tried or learned recently oh if it's like actually current
- 27:49all this techie stuff oh yeah that would be something yeah like for me currently
- 27:52yeah i would be like learning this type of stuff,
- 27:55learning how microphones and cameras and videos. Yeah.
- 28:02Yeah. All right. So number seven, if you could have dinner with any historical
- 28:07figure, who would it be and why? And you can't say Jesus.
- 28:11Why? And you can't say, no, you can't. Let's say, let's say you can't say Jesus.
- 28:15Cause that is, that's anyone who, who, who out there is not going to say Jesus. A lot of people. Yeah.
- 28:22But they would love to. Adam. Adam? Beginning of time. And why? Naming the animals.
- 28:28Yeah. Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve. So just Adam? That's a good one.
- 28:33I was even thinking like who I would say. You weren't thinking biblically. You were thinking.
- 28:39Yeah. I'm going to go George Washington. George Washington.
- 28:44I crossed my mind. The president. The first president of the United States.
- 28:47I want to know the real story. I want to know the...
- 28:52Okay, just leave it alone. That's all right. All right. We're having some technical difficulties.
- 28:56All right. So I would say George Washington, because there are so many things I would like to know.
- 29:01The founding of this country, what people say about you, what's correct,
- 29:06what's not. How was it really?
- 29:08You know, because, I mean, there are so many different stories that people can't
- 29:13get straight on. And he was, I mean, that's like only like 300 years ago?
- 29:16200 years? Like 250? 250. Pretty much 250. Yeah. And so. That's who I would
- 29:22say. It would be somebody interesting. George Washington.
- 29:25All right, number eight. What's a random fun fact about you that most people
- 29:30don't know? I'm not very fun, but fun fact.
- 29:33What's a random fun fact about you that most people don't know?
- 29:38I guess I'll go with my fourth grade arm wrestling champion.
- 29:41Lame, because I wasn't really in arm wrestling. Oh, that's a good one.
- 29:44I didn't arm wrestle everyone in the grade.
- 29:46So you were the strongest person in your fourth grade. Technically, no.
- 29:52Like but like boys boys too or yeah i remember were they letting you in was
- 29:56or was that real i mean at fourth grade everyone's the same everybody's about
- 29:59the same strength except i know there's a couple boys i didn't and they were
- 30:03like like they're really big ones.
- 30:05So but i was declared the champion i don't know that that is a good one that's
- 30:10a i don't even know what i would say what's a random fun fact about me that most people don't know.
- 30:16I've studied Greek and Hebrew. I've studied Greek and Hebrew.
- 30:19Most people don't know. And I don't normally share it. Typical language.
- 30:25But that was like, whenever early on when I became a Christian,
- 30:27I prayed to God. I wanted to learn the languages. I wanted to.
- 30:31And then I actually got to go to school for it.
- 30:35And I would always want to go back and take some more classes.
- 30:38I think it'd be so fun. Those are the funnest classes.
- 30:41School can be fun if it's something you love. All right.
- 30:44So nine. what's your favorite type of food
- 30:47or go-to restaurant i don't know like i said i
- 30:50don't i like to eat my own stuff at home so boring remember
- 30:54like uno's that pizza place but it went out of course oh yeah and then that
- 30:59was really good before that it was remember when we were younger chi chi's i
- 31:03can't believe you like chi chi's i cannot i cannot believe you like chi chi's
- 31:06don't say chi chi why what is it sounds dumb now but i mean i i don't think I knew that place.
- 31:13I don't ever, I ever remember really ever going to it.
- 31:16Oh. But like, but I, I don't know why.
- 31:19You just don't like Mexican now. Yeah, I guess I, I'm not a fan of too much.
- 31:22Unless it's Taco Bell. I love Taco Bell.
- 31:24I love Taco Bell. Taco Bell is awesome. That's not Mexican. That is Mexican to the core.
- 31:29We have a message from Sherry Lynn Fogle. What did she say?
- 31:35She said, I thought you'd pick all Brandon.
- 31:39Oh, I tried to pick something outside of the Bible.
- 31:43So if I did pick in the Bible, I would choose the Apostle Paul. Yeah.
- 31:49Hands down, the Apostle Paul. And then second to that would be King David.
- 31:53So those two right there. But the Apostle Paul, I mean.
- 31:57I'm old school. I'll just say Adam or Noah. I go way back. Yeah.
- 32:01Really? I mean. The inning of time. I know. Walking with God.
- 32:05Man. Naming the animals.
- 32:07And Noah. Like what? Yeah. Well. You're the only people left on the face of the earth.
- 32:13I've always wondered about that. Like, yeah, they're the only ones there.
- 32:17You would think that it would be easy to get along with everyone then.
- 32:22Because no one's really there. You know? And then the people that you are close
- 32:27to are your family, you know?
- 32:29But they still had strife. They still had battles within.
- 32:34But that would be a good one. Thank God someday we will be able to see.
- 32:39We're going to be going through and just talking to all these titans of the faith.
- 32:45And it doesn't have to be a person that's well-known. Everybody is bringing
- 32:49their own story into heaven, into the kingdom of God.
- 32:52We think, oh, heaven, that's just a fantasy land. That's fantasy land.
- 32:56You know but like that's as real as it gets baby
- 32:59heaven and god's throne room
- 33:01we are almost right now what we are experiencing this is
- 33:05like what you would call the dream state this is like more
- 33:08of a dream state of fantasy land than what
- 33:11god's presence is that is like like we
- 33:14think of physical like that this it's if
- 33:17it's physical it's real as opposed to i just
- 33:19think of the move or the book the great divorce by c.s
- 33:22lewis and he talks about when he goes like he takes that
- 33:25trip up into heaven and things just become
- 33:28so much more substantial there and it's like
- 33:31as opposed to here is kind of like the shadows and
- 33:34it's just like it's there's not really any like meat
- 33:37to anything you know it's just like it's all fluff here
- 33:41as opposed to that's where it gets real i know i get
- 33:43to go on a tangent but i love i love talking about that that's all
- 33:47i mean that's the most important thing that i care about you know
- 33:50it's all i would talk about and i think that's what heaven will be
- 33:53it'll be talking about just that kind of stuff and talking about
- 33:56things of god you know for eternity speaking of
- 33:59the flood though it says don baker hey don oh hey don we're gonna talk to don
- 34:05sometime about the flood oh that would be really cool in the impact geological
- 34:10impacts of the flood we're talking about and i'm just an idiot i know he's so
- 34:15smart what what did What did he say?
- 34:18I don't even. You don't remember.
- 34:21Yes. Don, he knows so much about the weather. Oh, yes. He's a meteorologist. That's what I'm saying.
- 34:27And he's super smart. And I got all of my. Storm chaser, too.
- 34:31He's a storm chaser. I got all my weather information from Don on Facebook. Yes.
- 34:35There's. Yeah. But yeah, he wants to talk to you about the flood stuff.
- 34:39Oh, that would be so cool. That would be absolutely awesome.
- 34:42All right. So. All right. And then. Oh, which one do we just do? Okay.
- 34:47Number nine. What's your favorite type of food or go to restaurant?
- 34:51Oh yeah that's where we went with that that was what we just did
- 34:54you said uno's i guess and we
- 34:56kind of know we derailed what it's kind of lame but chipotle
- 34:59it's pretty that's oh yeah that's what i would think of for you
- 35:02chipotle mine i i always go barbecue i
- 35:05a smokehouse or or jack stack though i
- 35:08i would go something barbecue that's what i'm that's probably
- 35:11my favorite you know i always used to say pizza
- 35:14yeah me too but like i'm over it i'm
- 35:17i'm more i'm not as it as into it
- 35:20as i used to be but uh so i would probably go
- 35:23more barbecue and then lastly uh what what's
- 35:26one goal you're currently working toward so now jesse we've we've we're not
- 35:31doing this anymore we're not doing this anymore okay it's whatever you wanted
- 35:35to be back then it was probably just get through college get a job now it's
- 35:40these online shops that we're doing oh yeah yeah yeah Yeah,
- 35:45I would do that as well.
- 35:47I would say, yeah, same thing. I like kind of just...
- 35:50The online stores and building things up on online and talking about that.
- 35:56And I would, I would love to like throw in there, you know, like I would love
- 35:58to go for another type of, even if it's not a full degree, you know,
- 36:03in biblical languages or, but something like that, you know,
- 36:07the next thing would be a P a doctorate, you know?
- 36:10And I don't think I would ever have time for that. That, that takes a lot of time.
- 36:14I mean, you have, and that's a lot of writing you have to do like a lot.
- 36:18I mean, that would be like a full-time job. people that go for that
- 36:21is like a full-time that's all they can
- 36:24do because you yeah you had the stuff to
- 36:27work you know but a lot of times it's their spouse that's having to work you
- 36:30know and do it during that time you're taking out a loan just to live you know
- 36:33which would be tough you know but pay off in the end if you're if you're doing
- 36:37what you love and you know kind of can make up for lost wages you know so yeah
- 36:42well that was that's very interesting i would say like Like,
- 36:45so what's one thing about, like.
- 36:48We would give to the people out there that are seeking a relationship.
- 36:51They're not in one, but they want to find the right person.
- 36:54I'm just, this is, like, to me, this is a real issue. And, like,
- 36:59I think of it now because I'm married with you, you know, a guy like you and a girl like me.
- 37:04No, but, like, so this doesn't just have to,
- 37:08and I'm not going to take it in a crazy way, but
- 37:11like this can also apply in guy to
- 37:14guy and girl to girl in a sense that finding a right friend out
- 37:17there somebody a person that you can connect with
- 37:21you know and i've heard something recently that i
- 37:24watched about like we think of it as weird like
- 37:26a guy can date a guy to in the sense of to find a real friend out there you
- 37:33know choose finding a friend or somebody that is like it's going to be on the
- 37:37same level with you that's going to be a person that you want to be with you
- 37:41treat it as like dating in a sense like have you heard this.
- 37:46Like they say a guy's a guy out there. We want to find other friends that are guys like that.
- 37:51You're going to actually jive with, you're going to connect with,
- 37:53you're going to want to like do things with treat it as almost dating. It is almost dating.
- 37:59You know, this was, well, I mean, just, this is one person's perspective,
- 38:02but this is something different that I'd never really even thought of.
- 38:05It seemed kind of weird when I heard it. Dating is seeing if you're compatible
- 38:08with, I don't know, same values and all that, you know?
- 38:12And if you, yeah, connect and friends or yeah. Yeah.
- 38:16Cause I'm all about like, I want to put the people in my life that I want to be around.
- 38:20I'm, I've really changed my mindset on that. Like that I used to like surrounding
- 38:24myself around with people that like lift me up.
- 38:28And like, if people are going to do say things and just like leave me in a bad
- 38:32impression, I want to kind of as much as possible, get them out of my life.
- 38:36You know, as much as, you know, Christianly as possible, you know,
- 38:40all that, all that good stuff.
- 38:44But this is a real deal because relationship is the name of the game it's a
- 38:50huge thing that people are experiencing in their life they're wanting to find
- 38:54people out there that are similar to them,
- 38:58I think everybody can find that just keep going but you have to almost have
- 39:03your mindset that you're going to look for Christ first let him feel the only
- 39:09thing that he can feel and then he'll maybe bring someone in your life that
- 39:11you can have a real connection with.
- 39:16I just feel so bad for those who want it so bad. I did too. I wasn't single
- 39:20all that long and it was lonely.
- 39:23And I would date people who I'm like, oh, I should not be dating them.
- 39:26But I was like, nah, we go out to movies or whatever, you know,
- 39:29because we're just wasting each other's time, you know?
- 39:34And it's like, you know, when you're the person that you're with,
- 39:37you, I just keep hearing like an echo in here or something like whatever.
- 39:41It's, do you hear that? It just keeps doing something. All right.
- 39:44So either way, I just think of the people that you like, like what you're saying.
- 39:49What did you just say? I lost my train of thought. What did you say?
- 39:52What did I say? take what's the what did you say that that noise is really throwing
- 39:56me off that's a dishwasher,
- 39:58don't say that it's not the dishwasher these are this is
- 40:01real life situation this is in real life IRL what's that mean it's not that
- 40:05it's not the dishwasher it's like almost it's all it sounds like a UFO almost
- 40:08it's like okay what did you just say Jesse he said like what'd she say Bonnie
- 40:16She wanted to marry someone so bad.
- 40:19Oh, yeah. She went to the movies, but... Wasting their time. Yeah.
- 40:24So many people. You felt like you're wasting their time and they're wasting yours?
- 40:28I knew I didn't want to be with them, but I wanted to go to World of Fun,
- 40:31or I wanted to go to the movies with them, or just... Just don't want to have to sit at home.
- 40:36Yeah. But I mean, but I knew they most likely liked me, but I don't know.
- 40:41I knew they weren't Christians.
- 40:43Yeah. I'm like, eh, I'm lonely.
- 40:45Okay. Not good. Well, all right. We'll close it out at that.
- 40:49So everyone out there, have a wonderful Valentine's Day.
- 40:52You know, keep going, you know, keep and find the right person that makes you happy.
- 40:58You know, that's the most important thing.
- 41:01All right. We'll leave it at that. Thanks, everyone. See y'all.
