- 0:03Speaker 1: Good morning, Good morning, family, God, God bless you. Welcome
- 0:05Speaker 1: back to the Morning Devo. It's Friday, so you already
- 0:08Speaker 1: know what it is. It's authentic Fridays. He as, so
- 0:11Speaker 1: Win is with his z dot org the celebrating a network.
- 0:14Speaker 1: So Win is with a z dot org live. That's
- 0:16Speaker 1: so Win is with a z dot org and streaming
- 0:19Speaker 1: on some social media platforms that allow the streams to
- 0:22Speaker 1: go because I know, I believe is X formerly known
- 0:26Speaker 1: as Twitter. I believe now you need to have a
- 0:28Speaker 1: subscription in order to live stream there. So I'm expecting
- 0:32Speaker 1: other platforms to follow suit because they need to make
- 0:36Speaker 1: that money or they want to make that money. So
- 0:38Speaker 1: we'll work that out when the time comes. If necessary,
- 0:41Speaker 1: we'll do what we have to do. Today we're talking
- 0:44Speaker 1: about parental authority on Authentic Immentationalogy.
- 0:47Speaker 2: This is episode number eighty eight. School is right.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Around the corner from the time of this recording, and
- 0:53Speaker 1: I'm a parent, and I know things are gonna be
- 0:55Speaker 1: different this year from my daughter a man as she
- 0:58Speaker 1: goes back into you school. She's still in elementary school,
- 1:04Speaker 1: you know, and I think third or fourth grade, coming
- 1:08Speaker 1: fourth grade. I forget times going by, so fast. But
- 1:12Speaker 1: she's in grade school and the people, especially the boys,
- 1:17Speaker 1: are gonna look at her differently this year because now
- 1:21Speaker 1: she's in developmental mode and she's developing into a young lady.
- 1:26Speaker 2: She's young.
- 1:28Speaker 1: But parental authority is the thing today for the theme
- 1:32Speaker 1: for today, because I believe that we have authority as
- 1:35Speaker 1: parents over our children and we could do some things
- 1:39Speaker 1: that are incredible according to the Word of God. So
- 1:43Speaker 1: we had to take parental authority. We had to pray
- 1:46Speaker 1: for our children, for the schools and everything. I had
- 1:49Speaker 1: a list. I'm not gonna find it now, of course,
- 1:52Speaker 1: but I printed it. That's what it is. It is
- 1:54Speaker 1: down in my wife's office. But we'll leave that for
- 1:58Speaker 1: another time. I want to set up a time for
- 2:00Speaker 1: parents to get together, we pray together. I'm set up
- 2:04Speaker 1: a call in line so we could do that together.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I probably do that Sunday. That's a good time to
- 2:09Speaker 1: do it. On my Sunday show at six pm every Sunday,
- 2:12Speaker 1: I do the Kingdom Call, So I guess I'll do that.
- 2:15Speaker 1: That'll be the theme. So welcome back for all those
- 2:18Speaker 1: who are with me and listening and watching and amen.
- 2:22Speaker 1: And I'm so glad that today came and we have
- 2:25Speaker 1: another day. Good morning's sister Joey and God bless you.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Good morning, God bless you. Welcome back to the morning. Degal.
- 2:31Speaker 1: It's good to see my sister. So listen, I had
- 2:35Speaker 1: such a week. It's been a week. Two people passed
- 2:41Speaker 1: on passed away, well, three people passed away that I
- 2:44Speaker 1: know of, just this week. My aunt Doty Jenny's on
- 2:49Speaker 1: with us. Good morning, God bless you. I' we're gonna
- 2:51Speaker 1: be praying for you as well as my aunt needs
- 2:55Speaker 1: prayer as well for our health.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Amen.
- 2:57Speaker 1: And it's just been a week of just back to
- 3:01Speaker 1: back news of things that we're going through. I'm suffering
- 3:07Speaker 1: with a stiff neck. I don't know what's going on
- 3:09Speaker 1: right here, Amen, so I have to pray that out
- 3:12Speaker 1: as well. Amen.
- 3:14Speaker 2: My car broke down, so we're having a week here.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Amen. So with that said, that's why I pray. It's
- 3:21Speaker 1: always important, Amen. We don't know what's gonna happen from
- 3:24Speaker 1: day to day. My younger brother asked me, how's everybody doing,
- 3:29Speaker 1: how's your day? I said, I've taken it day by day, amen,
- 3:32Speaker 1: day by day because we never know what's going to happen. Amen,
- 3:36Speaker 1: said that's why we pray parental authority. I wrote in
- 3:39Speaker 1: the details that parents should impart godly wisdom. It is
- 3:45Speaker 1: their responsibility. It's my responsibility to impart godly wisdom on
- 3:51Speaker 1: my daughters. My son is a grown man, he has
- 3:53Speaker 1: his own family. Amen.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I did my best.
- 3:56Speaker 1: He didn't get the best of me when he was young,
- 3:59Speaker 1: when he was kid, because I was out there in
- 4:01Speaker 1: the world doing all kind of crazy stuff. And then
- 4:04Speaker 1: when he was I think twelve years old or eight.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I always get the math wrong. But he was young
- 4:10Speaker 1: when I got saved, Amen, and it was like from
- 4:14Speaker 1: one man to a new man, and he didn't really
- 4:17Speaker 1: understand what was going on as a young kid. But
- 4:21Speaker 1: I believe he knows now where I stand in my
- 4:25Speaker 1: belief in the Lord. Amen. So I have another opportunity,
- 4:30Speaker 1: as long as God has me here on this earth,
- 4:33Speaker 1: I have another opportunity to impart golly wisdom in my
- 4:36Speaker 1: young daughters. Amen. I have a nine year old from
- 4:38Speaker 1: the timeless recording and a three year old from the
- 4:41Speaker 1: time of this recording. So keep me in prayer, amen,
- 4:44Speaker 1: as I'll pray for you and your family as well.
- 4:46Speaker 2: We'd be in.
- 4:46Speaker 1: First Thessalonians, Chapter number two, verses eleven and twelve. First
- 4:50Speaker 1: Thessalonian New Testament, Chapter two, verses eleven and twelve. And
- 4:54Speaker 1: before we pray, we have a common hand. Life is short.
- 4:58Speaker 1: You don't know what happen, anything happened. That's why you
- 5:02Speaker 1: do what you could do today. You don't worry about tomorrow.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Too many things are happening to me too, and all
- 5:10Speaker 1: the time think about everything. Why me? Why me? Why
- 5:13Speaker 1: my husband, why my son? I cannot stop thinking about everything.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I am so stressed out. My chest hurts me so bad.
- 5:22Speaker 1: So I know how it feels, especially when somebody goes
- 5:25Speaker 1: on that so much.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's true. Since Jamaine, I'm right with you.
- 5:30Speaker 1: And I saw a post this morning my spiritual daughters.
- 5:36Speaker 1: One of my spiritual daughters posts it says, instead of stressed, pray.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Instead of being stressed, pray ay man.
- 5:42Speaker 2: That's what we gonna do now.
- 5:43Speaker 1: If you have any questions, comments, concerns, prayer requests, don't
- 5:46Speaker 1: have to take to leave it on the live chat.
- 5:48Speaker 1: And also after we pray, we'll shut us out for
- 5:51Speaker 1: like sixty seconds, and then on the other side of
- 5:54Speaker 1: the sixty seconds we'll hit up. First Thessalonians Chatter number two,
- 5:58Speaker 1: Verses eleven and twelve. Let's pray Father, I thank you
- 6:01Speaker 1: for today, no matter what happens. I know I had
- 6:04Speaker 1: a rough week, and I know I'm not the only
- 6:05Speaker 1: one that's having a rough week. But Father God, I
- 6:08Speaker 1: asked Logan that you would continue or give us the
- 6:10Speaker 1: comfort and peace that you have promised us and offered
- 6:13Speaker 1: us by way of your son, the Lord Jesus. Thank
- 6:16Speaker 1: you lo God for your love, your grace and your mercy.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Thank you Lok God for guiding, guarding and protecting us
- 6:21Speaker 1: and keeping us safe in this evil world and keeping
- 6:24Speaker 1: us safe from the evil one that's really the prints
- 6:28Speaker 1: of the air, which is the devil himself. We come
- 6:31Speaker 1: against him. We come against anything the monded. We come
- 6:34Speaker 1: against any distraction, any stress, any ill to our body.
- 6:38Speaker 1: We lay hands right now on our head, right now
- 6:40Speaker 1: in Jesus name, that you would calm the soul and
- 6:44Speaker 1: relieve us from the stress and forgive us our sins
- 6:47Speaker 1: and heal our bodies in Jesus name. Thank you lo
- 6:50Speaker 1: God for your hedge of protection that you have sheltered us, me,
- 6:54Speaker 1: my wife, our family, our ministry, our organizations that we're
- 6:58Speaker 1: a part of. In Jesus Name, and I pray that
- 7:01Speaker 1: same very prayer over every single person that's connected now
- 7:04Speaker 1: and who will connect later.
- 7:05Speaker 2: In the powerful name.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Of Jesus, I pray for every single student that's going
- 7:09Speaker 1: back to school, including my children. I pray for every
- 7:12Speaker 1: single one of my grandchildren as well. In Jesus Name,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I pray, Lord God, that you would set forth archming angels,
- 7:19Speaker 1: ministering angels, warning angels, as you show us how we
- 7:22Speaker 1: could take parental authority in the spiritual realm as well
- 7:26Speaker 1: as the physical realm. And Jesus Name, I prayed. It's
- 7:29Speaker 1: by faith, knowing that you hear these prayers and your
- 7:32Speaker 1: answer them according to your purpose and plan for every
- 7:34Speaker 1: one of us. In Jesus' name, and those who agree,
- 7:37Speaker 1: we say amen and Amen, let it be.
- 7:39Speaker 2: So let's go for it. I'll be shut this out
- 7:42Speaker 2: for a minute.
- 7:42Speaker 1: When I come back, we'll get right into parental authority first.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Thessalonians chatter number two, Verses eleven and twelve. I'll be
- 7:50Speaker 1: right back, a man and man, we're back. Let's go
- 9:21Speaker 1: for it. Let's see what the Word of God has
- 9:23Speaker 1: for us today. Amen. Fridays, I try to focus things
- 9:27Speaker 1: differently on Fridays. Imitation authentic imitationology. Look at that. I'm
- 9:32Speaker 1: tongue tied today this morning. Amen, my mind has been
- 9:36Speaker 1: racing all night. I don't even think I slept. It
- 9:39Speaker 1: feels like my body was resting, but my mind was
- 9:41Speaker 1: going A man a thousand miles an hour. How many
- 9:44Speaker 1: people have gone through that? Amen, So authentic imitationology. But
- 9:49Speaker 1: I try to do is focus on imitating God, imitating
- 9:53Speaker 1: the most successful person who has ever lived on this
- 9:55Speaker 1: planet Earth, the Lord Jesus, and the Lord God himself.
- 9:59Speaker 1: The Lord Jesus himself would speak to his heavenly father
- 10:02Speaker 1: while he was here on earth physically, Amen. And he
- 10:07Speaker 1: was relying on his father's parental authority. So we as
- 10:11Speaker 1: well rely on the Father in heaven a man, to
- 10:14Speaker 1: show us how to be fathers here and parents here
- 10:16Speaker 1: on earth. And we take his we take his example,
- 10:22Speaker 1: and we move that into our lives as parents, and
- 10:25Speaker 1: we have parental authority.
- 10:27Speaker 2: It's not the.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Responsibility of the school or the church to impart godly wisdom,
- 10:33Speaker 1: Amen on our children. The church helps in that area,
- 10:36Speaker 1: of course.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I love the children's ministry.
- 10:38Speaker 1: And my church. They speak life into my daughters and
- 10:41Speaker 1: they teach them the word of God. But it's my
- 10:44Speaker 1: responsibility as a parent, Amen, to literally take my daughters
- 10:49Speaker 1: and speak to them, speak life over them.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Am I doing a great job at it?
- 10:52Speaker 1: I don't think so. I think I can do better, Amen,
- 10:55Speaker 1: But I'm working on it. I'm working on it, trust me.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Parental authority is a thing, is the power of God
- 11:01Speaker 1: in a parent to move our children into a golly lane.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Now they have to choose for themselves as they get older.
- 11:08Speaker 1: No one could force any one of our kids to
- 11:12Speaker 1: be believers in Christ. I can't force my daughters. I
- 11:14Speaker 1: can't force my son. I can't force my grandchildren to
- 11:18Speaker 1: believe in Christ.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Not forced.
- 11:20Speaker 1: It's not a forced thing, Amen, It's a choice that
- 11:22Speaker 1: they will make. But if they see good examples, and
- 11:25Speaker 1: they see people of God and parents that are trusting
- 11:29Speaker 1: and believing in a holy, loving, righteous God, and no
- 11:32Speaker 1: matter what happens, they still.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Go to God in prayer.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Even though I hope they don't think that we're supposed
- 11:39Speaker 1: to be perfect as Christians, but they see that when
- 11:42Speaker 1: we're going through stuff and we're struggling, or if we're
- 11:45Speaker 1: having a bad week like I had this week, Amen,
- 11:47Speaker 1: we're still going to be at peace and rely in
- 11:49Speaker 1: trust in Jesus, amen, and not go runn into alcohol,
- 11:53Speaker 1: drugs and whatever else comes our way. We run to
- 11:56Speaker 1: the Lord who is sovereign and in control of all things,
- 11:59Speaker 1: because we know we have a heavenly father, and that's
- 12:01Speaker 1: what we're gonna be on today, a parental authority.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Am the scripture. I stick to the script. There's no gimmicks.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Over here on these morning DeVos. So let's go for
- 12:11Speaker 1: Let me put on the screen. For those who are
- 12:12Speaker 1: just listening, welcome back, thank you for lending me your.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Ears as we move forward.
- 12:18Speaker 1: If you're on the radio, so one is with a
- 12:20Speaker 1: z Org which is the Celebrator Network, welcome back, thank
- 12:22Speaker 1: you so much. If you're listening from the podcast, thank
- 12:25Speaker 1: you for subscribing. If you're not. If you haven't subscribed yet,
- 12:28Speaker 1: please subscribe to the podcast so you can get all
- 12:32Speaker 1: the live podcasts that I do, and so that way
- 12:34Speaker 1: you can replay them as many times as you want,
- 12:37Speaker 1: and it would be a blessing to have you. Amen.
- 12:40Speaker 1: So let's go for Authentic Invinationlogy just episode eighty eight.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I can't believe how many episodes of Authentic Commentationology we've done. Amen,
- 12:48Speaker 1: God is good, He's faithful. First Thatsaloni Is Chapter two,
- 12:51Speaker 1: verses eleven and twelve. Amen, for you know how we
- 12:56Speaker 1: were exhorting and encouraging and imploring each one of you,
- 13:00Speaker 1: you just as a father does in dealing with his
- 13:03Speaker 1: own children, guiding you verse twelve, to live lives of honor,
- 13:10Speaker 1: moral courage, and personal integrity worthy of the God who
- 13:15Speaker 1: saves you and calls you into his own kingdom and
- 13:21Speaker 1: glory and men. So basically, Apostle Paul saying, listen, you
- 13:25Speaker 1: saw what we were doing. You know how we move.
- 13:27Speaker 1: We've seen and we were encouraging you. We wasn't tearing
- 13:31Speaker 1: you down. We were trying to build you up, employing
- 13:33Speaker 1: each one of you just as a parent does, just
- 13:37Speaker 1: as a father does in dealing with his own children
- 13:41Speaker 1: and men. So, spiritual children is a thing. I believe
- 13:44Speaker 1: that that you can have spiritual children, and you can
- 13:47Speaker 1: have spiritual parents as well, because ultimately we have a
- 13:51Speaker 1: heavenly father. And then because of our heavenly Father, we
- 13:55Speaker 1: know now how to love. We know how to treat
- 13:56Speaker 1: our children, we know how to treat one another, we
- 13:58Speaker 1: know how to be married, we know how to trust
- 14:01Speaker 1: God through the examples that the Lord Jesus showed us
- 14:04Speaker 1: through the scriptures. When he was here on this planet,
- 14:07Speaker 1: he was trusting God, he was trusting the process. He
- 14:09Speaker 1: was going forward all the way a man because he
- 14:12Speaker 1: knew that his father had the total authority, ultimate authority,
- 14:16Speaker 1: a man as a parent. And Jesus is the only
- 14:20Speaker 1: begotten son of God. And now we in turn become
- 14:24Speaker 1: as soon as we trust in Jesus, he puts his
- 14:26Speaker 1: spirit in us. Now we become children of the Living God.
- 14:30Speaker 2: You see that.
- 14:31Speaker 1: So we have our father in heaven, our son who
- 14:35Speaker 1: is the Son, his son who is the Lord and Savior.
- 14:38Speaker 1: And then we have Holy Spirit living inside of us.
- 14:41Speaker 1: So we are in communion with Jesus.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Amen.
- 14:45Speaker 1: And this scripture is just amazing because it shows us
- 14:48Speaker 1: that Apostle Paul was letting the people know. And that's
- 14:51Speaker 1: all like he was letting the Christians know to listen. Man,
- 14:54Speaker 1: we showed you, we encouraged you, we employed you as
- 14:58Speaker 1: our father does dealing with his own children. We were
- 15:02Speaker 1: being guid they were being guided. Right to live lives
- 15:05Speaker 1: of rtcheedness, No, we live lives of honor. Live, No,
- 15:12Speaker 1: to have moral courage, to have you know, a wildlife,
- 15:17Speaker 1: no personal integrity worthy of the God who saves you
- 15:22Speaker 1: and calls you into his own kingdom and glory. When
- 15:27Speaker 1: we use parental authority, we are basically telling the enemy
- 15:30Speaker 1: of our souls, stay away from our family, stay away
- 15:34Speaker 1: from our children, because we're building our children up in
- 15:37Speaker 1: the things of God.
- 15:38Speaker 2: And we'll pray.
- 15:39Speaker 1: So I'm ninety one, I believe that'll be the probably
- 15:42Speaker 1: probably be the theme for the kingdom called this Sunday,
- 15:45Speaker 1: Lord willingam Sunday comes from me, Amen, And as parents,
- 15:49Speaker 1: we should come together and pray over the school year,
- 15:52Speaker 1: over the teachers, the faculty, over every single person that's
- 15:56Speaker 1: going in and out of those buildings.
- 15:58Speaker 2: For our children. It's going to be a different year.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I feel it.
- 16:02Speaker 1: It's gonna be a different year because kids are getting older,
- 16:06Speaker 1: society is getting crazier, so we need to really impart
- 16:11Speaker 1: godly wisdom in our children. And it was crazy because
- 16:15Speaker 1: when my daughter wasn't going to first grade already, trying
- 16:17Speaker 1: to explain to her that every kid they meet is
- 16:20Speaker 1: not going to have a situation that she has. Every
- 16:24Speaker 1: kid she meets are not going to believe in Christ.
- 16:26Speaker 1: That's number one, not going to have a mother and
- 16:29Speaker 1: a dad home at home like she has. That's number two.
- 16:33Speaker 1: And they come in all shapes and sizes. You can't
- 16:36Speaker 1: judge nobody. You don't know this story. Not everybody's going
- 16:39Speaker 1: to be friendly. I tell her these things that way,
- 16:42Speaker 1: she's not totally shocked when she gets into school and
- 16:45Speaker 1: realizes that not everybody believes in God. Not everybody has
- 16:49Speaker 1: a dad and a mom living together. Not everybody has
- 16:52Speaker 1: married parents. Not everybody has God in their lives. Not
- 16:56Speaker 1: everybody has food in their fridge. Not everybody has a
- 16:59Speaker 1: house and a roof over their heads. Not everybody has
- 17:03Speaker 1: new sneakers and new clothes. Not everybody could go to
- 17:08Speaker 1: school outings because of lack of money or whatever the
- 17:11Speaker 1: case may be.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Not everybody has cars.
- 17:13Speaker 1: So I'm trying to let my daughter know show humility
- 17:17Speaker 1: and show love and kindness to all the students, no
- 17:21Speaker 1: matter if you know what she might think about them.
- 17:24Speaker 1: But the young age, what nine ten, you know, she's
- 17:28Speaker 1: getting to that age where trying my best to keep
- 17:32Speaker 1: cool and really trying to listen to what she's saying
- 17:37Speaker 1: and then respond accordingly. Like I said, I'm a work
- 17:41Speaker 1: in progress, a man. I'm older now, and I'm trying
- 17:45Speaker 1: to remain patient and trying to, you know, continue to
- 17:49Speaker 1: impart the wisdom a man the same way I impart
- 17:52Speaker 1: wisdom through the scriptures. As we get together as mostly
- 17:57Speaker 1: adults here on these morning DeVos. I have to I
- 18:00Speaker 1: have to take time a man out and really impart
- 18:04Speaker 1: this gollly wisdom into my daughters and to my spiritual children,
- 18:08Speaker 1: my grandchildren, and even my godsons. A man, I have
- 18:12Speaker 1: two godsns, Praise God, and I've got another god daughter. Amen.
- 18:16Speaker 1: But you know that's the story right there. I'm trying
- 18:19Speaker 1: to really reconnect, but it's difficult. I actually saw my
- 18:24Speaker 1: goddaughter's dad not too long ago and explain the same thing.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I said, Man, I'm trying to, you know, make this happen.
- 18:31Speaker 1: You know, he excused me, says the worry about it.
- 18:33Speaker 1: But I take being a god father seriously, man, I do.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I say it seriously because I know it's an opportunity
- 18:41Speaker 1: for me to help out in situations where the parents
- 18:45Speaker 1: might need help in those situations. Amen.
- 18:48Speaker 2: So that's what we have.
- 18:49Speaker 1: This That was the amplified version, and I know it's
- 18:51Speaker 1: a lot it's worthy. This version here says for you
- 18:55Speaker 1: know that we dealt with each other, which each of you,
- 19:00Speaker 1: as a father deals with his own children. Now that
- 19:03Speaker 1: might look a little different for you, might a little
- 19:06Speaker 1: be a little different for me, according to how you
- 19:09Speaker 1: were raised. A lot of people like my dad showed
- 19:11Speaker 1: me love, he encouraged me. He was a hard worker. Amen.
- 19:16Speaker 1: So I took those traits and I grew up like that.
- 19:19Speaker 1: My mom used to always say, You're just like your dad.
- 19:21Speaker 1: You look like him, you act like him. Amen.
- 19:24Speaker 2: But he was cut short.
- 19:25Speaker 1: His life was cut short because of some habits he
- 19:28Speaker 1: had that weren't doing well for his body.
- 19:33Speaker 2: And at fifteen years old, I lost him.
- 19:35Speaker 1: So I was like, oh, wait a minute, I'm only fifteen,
- 19:37Speaker 1: Like how do I do the rest of this stuff?
- 19:40Speaker 1: So I had to try to figure it out. My
- 19:42Speaker 1: oldest brother stepped in, but I was just like, my
- 19:47Speaker 1: mind was gone. I went into a rapid spiral of
- 19:50Speaker 1: anger and sex, drugs, alcohol, all that stuff because I
- 19:54Speaker 1: was hurt. Right. But he did the best he could
- 19:58Speaker 1: in the short time that he had, and to instill
- 20:00Speaker 1: some good things in my life. I'm a hard worker,
- 20:04Speaker 1: even though a lot of people think I don't work,
- 20:06Speaker 1: but I do work. I'm working pretty much every day,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and I have to try to maintain some kind of
- 20:13Speaker 1: like schedule so I could get rest, let me go.
- 20:16Speaker 2: I'll work twenty four to seven.
- 20:18Speaker 1: They meant, am I receiving enough to live off of
- 20:24Speaker 1: the ministry and off what I do with the mens
- 20:26Speaker 1: and all all that. No, I'm trying to put things
- 20:29Speaker 1: together to make it happen. But I learned that from
- 20:31Speaker 1: my dad. He knew how to put things together to
- 20:34Speaker 1: make things happen, to try his best to support his children.
- 20:42Speaker 1: So I had an opportunity to have a loving dad
- 20:45Speaker 1: well a little while, even though it was cut short
- 20:47Speaker 1: when I was only fifteen when he passed. But at
- 20:49Speaker 1: least I could say I had a dad that I knew.
- 20:52Speaker 1: There's a lot of kids growing up right now that
- 20:54Speaker 1: can't tell you, and they've grown men right now, and
- 20:57Speaker 1: they can't.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Tell you who their dad was.
- 20:59Speaker 1: They never met them, amen, And that's a tough situation.
- 21:03Speaker 1: So we have to be mindful of that as well,
- 21:05Speaker 1: and be kinds of people and listen to people stories
- 21:08Speaker 1: as we develop our parent parental authority, so Apostle Paul says,
- 21:17Speaker 1: as a father deals with his own children, encouraging comforting
- 21:21Speaker 1: and urging you to live lies worthy of God and man.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Not a forced thing, but really giving you the opportunity
- 21:30Speaker 1: to trust God who calls you into His kingdom and glory.
- 21:35Speaker 1: That's an amazing call, right, and amazing calls that come into
- 21:37Speaker 1: the Kingdom of God.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Deuteronomy Chapter six.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Deuteronomy chapter six, verses six and seven says, these commandments
- 21:45Speaker 1: that I give you today are to be upon your hearts,
- 21:49Speaker 1: impress them on your children, talk about them when you
- 21:55Speaker 1: sit at home, and when you walk along the road,
- 21:58Speaker 1: when you lie down, and when you get up. So
- 22:01Speaker 1: the conversation of God Jesus, the Lord as we have
- 22:04Speaker 1: him now, that was in an old covenant, So they
- 22:07Speaker 1: didn't have the Lord Jesus walking with them at that time.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Physically he was there, but physically he wasn't. Amen he
- 22:13Speaker 1: was showing up certain parts of the old Covenant. You
- 22:16Speaker 1: see you call it Christophany. I think they call it
- 22:18Speaker 1: when Jesus shows up as the Angel of the Lord
- 22:22Speaker 1: in certain parts of the scriptures. But we have the
- 22:26Speaker 1: physical example of the Lord Jesus and the New Covenant,
- 22:31Speaker 1: and he showed up, and he was the perfect example
- 22:35Speaker 1: of what to do, how to talk about the word
- 22:38Speaker 1: of God right, how to follow the commandments. He was
- 22:42Speaker 1: the only one that followed every single one of the
- 22:45Speaker 1: commandments to a tea. Never broke one commandment. I can't
- 22:48Speaker 1: say that. You can't say that, but the Lord could
- 22:50Speaker 1: say that all day, all day, every day a man.
- 22:52Speaker 2: He did it.
- 22:53Speaker 1: He satisfied the law, He fulfilled the law. Amen, how
- 22:57Speaker 1: about this one? Psalms Chapter seventy eight, Versus five, five
- 23:00Speaker 1: and seven. Psalms Chapter number seventy eight, Verses five to seven.
- 23:04Speaker 1: He decreed statues for Jacob and establish the law in Israel,
- 23:10Speaker 1: which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children so
- 23:17Speaker 1: the next generation would know them. So if we don't
- 23:20Speaker 1: teach our kids about the Lord, now, the next generation
- 23:24Speaker 1: won't know because they weren't taught. So we could lose
- 23:27Speaker 1: a generation by not imparting godly wisdom. Listen to this,
- 23:32Speaker 1: then they would put their trust in God and will
- 23:36Speaker 1: not forget his deeds, but will keep his commands. I
- 23:41Speaker 1: met people, so many people that grew up in church
- 23:44Speaker 1: and they left the church for whatever reason. They were
- 23:47Speaker 1: heard or the world looked too pleasing. Now they're living
- 23:51Speaker 1: in the sinful life and all that for whatever reason.
- 23:55Speaker 1: And then when you get to the end of the gritty,
- 23:57Speaker 1: they say, I grew up in church, so I know
- 23:59Speaker 1: the commandments, I know the word, I know this, that
- 24:01Speaker 1: and the third. So it's in them, right, It was
- 24:05Speaker 1: in them because someone imparted godly wisdom into them, their parents,
- 24:09Speaker 1: their pastors, mom and grandma's whoever it was, and part
- 24:14Speaker 1: of this wisdom. So it's there. The beautiful thing about
- 24:17Speaker 1: that is that they were raised under the commandments of God.
- 24:20Speaker 2: They were raised with the knowledge of who God is.
- 24:23Speaker 1: So at their worst of the worst, and I've seen
- 24:25Speaker 1: this from my own eyes, at the worst of the worst,
- 24:27Speaker 1: a lot of them come back to church all messed up.
- 24:30Speaker 1: But they realized one thing, knew I needed God. I
- 24:33Speaker 1: needed to hear this word. I had to come back
- 24:35Speaker 1: because they know out in the world they weren't doing well.
- 24:39Speaker 1: The world was beating them up. How many people ever
- 24:42Speaker 1: got beat up by the world system? Right, beat up
- 24:45Speaker 1: by the devil, and just were trapped into simple evil
- 24:49Speaker 1: desires of your flesh. Right, we battle the flesh every day,
- 24:53Speaker 1: and our kids will battle their flesh every day. We
- 24:57Speaker 1: can't leave them stranded not knowing what to do when
- 25:00Speaker 1: these simple desires and urgers come up, and then they
- 25:04Speaker 1: should be willing and able to talk to their parents.
- 25:07Speaker 1: And we have this parental authority that we could go
- 25:10Speaker 1: to the Lord on behalf of our children, on behalf
- 25:14Speaker 1: of our kids, right, and then God will give you
- 25:17Speaker 1: the wisdom he said, actual wisdom, and he will give
- 25:19Speaker 1: it to us liberally, the wisdom of God. And then
- 25:22Speaker 1: we could share that wisdom and part that wisdom on
- 25:26Speaker 1: our kids, so that way they can know growing up
- 25:29Speaker 1: about what we know, as we were learning as we
- 25:31Speaker 1: were growing up. This whole thing about perfect parenting that
- 25:36Speaker 1: doesn't exist. Nobody has the perfect parent method, but we
- 25:40Speaker 1: have the perfect God who instructs us what to do
- 25:43Speaker 1: concerning our children, how to use our parental authority. And notice,
- 25:48Speaker 1: nowhere is it saying that we're going to be a
- 25:50Speaker 1: perfect parent. Nowhere does it say that we have to
- 25:55Speaker 1: force our children to believe. Doesn't say it. It says
- 25:58Speaker 1: it's the commandment. Shoots and press them on your children,
- 26:05Speaker 1: not force them on your children, to talk about them,
- 26:09Speaker 1: not yell at them, see talk about them when you
- 26:13Speaker 1: sit at home. So that's outside of the church as well.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Don't just rely on a Sunday service or Saturday service,
- 26:23Speaker 1: or Wednesday or Tuesday or Thursday, whenever you're in service.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Don't just rely on the on the pastor to teach
- 26:29Speaker 1: your kids. Don't rely on the youth pastor to teach
- 26:31Speaker 1: your kids. Don't rely on the youth ministry. Don't just
- 26:34Speaker 1: rely on that's the help. That's a tool, and man,
- 26:36Speaker 1: it helps me out tremendously. Our daughters, the leader of
- 26:42Speaker 1: our children's ministry, we literally call her when my daughter
- 26:46Speaker 1: gets out of hand or any one of my daughters
- 26:48Speaker 1: get us out of hand, and said, we're gonna call
- 26:51Speaker 1: Sister Janet, and their eyes light up and they stop
- 26:55Speaker 1: and they think about it, and then they calm down,
- 26:58Speaker 1: right because they know that the woman of God that
- 27:03Speaker 1: imparts this wisdom in them, they should know better. And
- 27:06Speaker 1: she calls them out and tells them, you should know
- 27:08Speaker 1: better because they're being taught the word of God. That
- 27:12Speaker 1: being taught how to be kind and being taught how
- 27:14Speaker 1: to love, that being taught how to follow God and
- 27:17Speaker 1: trust God.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Right, they're not being forced.
- 27:19Speaker 1: And as parents we need to be totally responsible for
- 27:23Speaker 1: doing the rest of the work. We have helpers, but
- 27:27Speaker 1: as parents we need to be responsible and impart wisdom
- 27:30Speaker 1: on our children and use our parental authority. So hopefully
- 27:34Speaker 1: we could get together and pray for the school year.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Pray for our children, grandchildren, Harvard, you have family members
- 27:41Speaker 1: will pray for the school year because this year is
- 27:43Speaker 1: going to be different. I sense it and I feel
- 27:45Speaker 1: it right, So I thank you so much for hanging
- 27:47Speaker 1: out with me. Take first Thessalonians chapter number two. Read
- 27:51Speaker 1: the whole chapter for yourself. Meditate on that a man,
- 27:53Speaker 1: and see what you get. More of what you get
- 27:56Speaker 1: from the word right, and let me know how it
- 27:58Speaker 1: works out as you apply it today.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Okay.
- 28:01Speaker 1: So God bless you all. God keep you all, and
- 28:03Speaker 1: remember always that God is good. Peace.
