- 0:01Speaker 1: Allelujah, Amen, Allelujah, please help me appreciate pastor Portune.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Thank you so much with dear wife. Let's pray, Father
- 0:23Speaker 2: speak to our hearts tonight, and I pray that you
- 0:28Speaker 2: walk mightily in our meet this night.
- 0:32Speaker 3: To the glory of the name of Jesus.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I pray, Oh God, that your world will come with
- 0:38Speaker 2: power and with clarity. And I pray that the sick
- 0:42Speaker 2: will be healed tonight. Let your pressed be delivered, and
- 0:47Speaker 2: let Jesus be glorified. In Jesus' name, I pray, God,
- 0:53Speaker 2: bless you. Please be seated. It's my joy too. Again
- 1:03Speaker 2: bring the word of the Lord tonight. We're looking at
- 1:06Speaker 2: the subject of God's mercy, and I pray that the
- 1:09Speaker 2: Lord would open our eyes the more tonight in Jesus' name.
- 1:20Speaker 2: At my initial session yesterday, we began to talk about
- 1:24Speaker 2: a few things. I want to make a very quick recap.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Number One, I said, to truly understand the subject of
- 1:35Speaker 2: God's messy, we will need to examine. Number one, the
- 1:40Speaker 2: nature of God. That it is difficult to truly understand
- 1:45Speaker 2: the subject of messy until you understand the nature of God.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Number two that you need to understand the nature of man.
- 1:56Speaker 2: There is something about man being the chief recipient of
- 2:01Speaker 2: God's messy. You will have to understand the nature of
- 2:05Speaker 2: man to help you understand his messy.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Allelujah.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Theologically speaking or doctrinally speaking, you would need to really
- 2:15Speaker 2: understand theology, the study of God his nature, anthropology, the
- 2:21Speaker 2: study of man, and then so teriology, the entire exegesis
- 2:26Speaker 2: of the subject of salvation beginning from the fall of man,
- 2:30Speaker 2: for you to fully comprehend the subject of God's messy.
- 2:36Speaker 2: And we also discussed the fact that the messy of
- 2:41Speaker 2: God is predicated upon his love, his compassion, that the
- 2:47Speaker 2: messy of God is a derivative of his compassion, his love.
- 2:53Speaker 2: That it is impossible to be able to show messy
- 2:56Speaker 2: until you have compassion. Messy is the of compassion. Are
- 3:01Speaker 2: we together very important to understand this? And then we
- 3:06Speaker 2: did establish yesterday how that there are two expressions to messy.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Number one has to do it forgiveness and withholding punishment
- 3:16Speaker 2: from he or she that is guilty, worthy of condemnation,
- 3:21Speaker 2: worthy of destruction. The first expression of messy has to
- 3:26Speaker 2: do it forgiveness and then withholding punishment from him that
- 3:30Speaker 2: it is due. But the second expression of messy has
- 3:35Speaker 2: to do with alleviating pain. You have to understand that
- 3:39Speaker 2: it has to do with providing relief. And the recipient
- 3:44Speaker 2: of that dimension of messy does not have to be
- 3:47Speaker 2: someone who has cause offense. Anybody who is weak, incapacitated,
- 3:53Speaker 2: and not sustaining the ability to help himself is deserving
- 3:57Speaker 2: of messy.
- 3:58Speaker 3: From that angle, Are we together?
- 4:00Speaker 2: It is very important that we understand this dimension, so
- 4:03Speaker 2: that number one, we can posture ourselves properly to be
- 4:09Speaker 2: recipients of God's messy to the fullest. And then that
- 4:13Speaker 2: in communicating messy we know the dimensions that are required
- 4:17Speaker 2: of us to give. Are we together? Until now, the
- 4:20Speaker 2: subject of messy is always looked at from the angle
- 4:23Speaker 2: of the sinner and one who is deserving or in
- 4:29Speaker 2: need of forgiveness.
- 4:31Speaker 3: But that is only one expression of messy.
- 4:34Speaker 2: If we approach messy just from a standpoint of pardon
- 4:38Speaker 2: and withholding punishment from the guilty, it would not fully
- 4:43Speaker 2: capture the.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Essence of the subject of messy.
- 4:47Speaker 2: So from a broad a broad perspective, you see that
- 4:51Speaker 2: everyone requires the messy of God to make progress in life.
- 4:57Speaker 2: If the guilty and the sinner, then you require pardon.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Is that true?
- 5:02Speaker 2: And then if weak and inadequate, you require strength that
- 5:07Speaker 2: will be able to push you forward. In the name
- 5:10Speaker 2: of Jesus Christ, the Lord will help us tonight. And
- 5:15Speaker 2: I told us that for my session, I'll be looking
- 5:17Speaker 2: at two things. Number one, the concept of messy. Can
- 5:21Speaker 2: you just put the volume down a bit please, it's
- 5:24Speaker 2: still loud, thank you? No, not the volume of the
- 5:27Speaker 2: keyboard now, yeah, Hallelujah, prays the name of the Lord.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Number one, we have to understand the concept of messy.
- 5:37Speaker 2: And then number two, and that's what I'll be doing
- 5:39Speaker 2: in this session, the system of administering messy. I told
- 5:43Speaker 2: us that it is not just enough to understand the concept.
- 5:47Speaker 3: You must understand the.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Administration of messy, how messy is administered from God to
- 5:55Speaker 2: men and from men to men. Because if we only
- 5:59Speaker 2: understand the concept, we will appreciate it but never be
- 6:02Speaker 2: able to experience it. There is a spiritual technology for
- 6:07Speaker 2: administering messy, and this is what I hope that we'll
- 6:11Speaker 2: understand tonight.
- 6:13Speaker 3: In the name of Jesus Christ.
- 6:20Speaker 2: There is a weakness in man, especially the falling man,
- 6:24Speaker 2: by reason of the falling nature and the consequences of
- 6:30Speaker 2: the falling nature upon man. There is a weakness that
- 6:34Speaker 2: is inherent in man that will perpetually necessitate the messy
- 6:39Speaker 2: of God if we are ever to thrive and rise
- 6:42Speaker 2: to the fullness of our prophetic potential. This has nothing
- 6:47Speaker 2: to do necessarily with the fortitude to sin or to fall.
- 6:51Speaker 2: It is just an inherent limitation that is in all men,
- 6:56Speaker 2: the reality of the humanity of men.
- 7:00Speaker 3: The humanity of men, you would.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Notice in Revelations and Ezekiel also had that vision of
- 7:06Speaker 2: what we call theologically the four living creatures. These are
- 7:10Speaker 2: a capture of the full dimensions that must find the
- 7:14Speaker 2: expression in man to fully reveal the glory of God.
- 7:17Speaker 2: The four Living creatures stand before the Throne as a
- 7:21Speaker 2: representation of all of the dimensions that represent holistic spiritual development.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Number one is the face of the lion, talks of
- 7:31Speaker 2: dominion and power and royalty. But if that is the
- 7:36Speaker 2: only dimension you know, one have the side effect to
- 7:40Speaker 2: manifest in that dimension.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Alone is pride. The next face becomes a balance to.
- 7:46Speaker 2: The first face, the face of a calf, that the
- 7:49Speaker 2: purpose of power and authority is service away together now.
- 7:54Speaker 2: But if you have these two dimensions alone, it also
- 7:57Speaker 2: has a side effect, because being a alone will weary
- 8:01Speaker 2: you to death. So it reminds you with the third
- 8:04Speaker 2: face that even though you are servant, you are also human,
- 8:08Speaker 2: the face of the man. It puts a balance so
- 8:12Speaker 2: that you do not stretch yourself above and beyond your capacity.
- 8:16Speaker 2: And then when it reminds you that you are human,
- 8:19Speaker 2: chances are excellent that if you dwell on your humanity,
- 8:22Speaker 2: you will give own restrained access to the flesh. Then
- 8:26Speaker 2: it reminds you that although you are human, you are
- 8:29Speaker 2: also divine the face of the flying eagle. So these
- 8:33Speaker 2: are dimensions that must be captured in a Christian experience
- 8:37Speaker 2: to be balanced and to be holistic in.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Our spiritual development.
- 8:43Speaker 2: But then I'm interested tonight for the purpose of our
- 8:46Speaker 2: discussion on the reality of our human nature. There is
- 8:52Speaker 2: something about the weakness of man that if an assisted
- 8:58Speaker 2: cannot produce the glory of God. The Bible is very
- 9:01Speaker 2: clear as to the frailty of man. We considered that yesterday.
- 9:06Speaker 2: That's something about our weaknesses, our limitations. You find that
- 9:11Speaker 2: expressly detailed in some fifty one. Please give us some
- 9:15Speaker 2: fifty one. This was a very honest expression of the
- 9:20Speaker 2: weakness of man. Can we look at that for a minute,
- 9:24Speaker 2: have messy upon me, Oh God, according to thy loving kindness,
- 9:29Speaker 2: according onto the multitude of thy tender messies. It's blot
- 9:32Speaker 2: out my transgressions. Uh huh, it's a long reading. Please
- 9:35Speaker 2: be patient, Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse
- 9:42Speaker 2: me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, and
- 9:47Speaker 2: my sin is ever before me before, against thee thee.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Only have I seined and done this evil in thy sight,
- 9:54Speaker 2: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest and be clear,
- 9:59Speaker 2: when thou jodge just five, behold, I was shapen in iniquity.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Remember we consider this yesterday, and in sin did my
- 10:07Speaker 2: mother conceive me. He's saying, there is an inherent flaw
- 10:12Speaker 2: that has nothing to do with me acting out any scene.
- 10:15Speaker 2: There is a limitation that is enshrined in my humanity
- 10:21Speaker 2: that cannot allow me to glorify God or assisted. The
- 10:26Speaker 2: reality of the humanity of men is a factor that,
- 10:31Speaker 2: if not examined, we will never appreciate the necessity for
- 10:36Speaker 2: His messy, and we will never also be able to
- 10:39Speaker 2: rise to our full prophetic potential.
- 10:41Speaker 3: If you're with me, please say amen.
- 10:44Speaker 2: God's messy, therefore, is a system of advantage that was
- 10:49Speaker 2: given to man to help man rise and bring glory
- 10:54Speaker 2: to the name of the Lord.
- 10:55Speaker 3: In spite of all.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Of these defects that are enshrined in men, God had
- 11:00Speaker 2: to put in this factor of his messy so that
- 11:05Speaker 2: regardless the limitations of men, we will still be able
- 11:08Speaker 2: to beat the purposes of God away together. Now, yes,
- 11:17Speaker 2: by the provision that his messy gives and provides, we
- 11:21Speaker 2: will be able to rise and become full expressions. I
- 11:26Speaker 2: wrote here of his expectations, regardless our humanity. So a
- 11:33Speaker 2: quick recap that the messy of God is a derivative
- 11:37Speaker 2: of his love and his compassion. It is impossible for
- 11:42Speaker 2: messy to find the expression without compassion, alle Lujah. Oftentimes
- 11:46Speaker 2: you read in scripture that Jesus was moved with compassion.
- 11:50Speaker 2: And I told us yesterday that messy is an action word.
- 11:53Speaker 2: You can feel the pain of another, that is compassion.
- 11:57Speaker 2: But when it has to do with messy all through
- 11:59Speaker 2: scre it is half messy or show messy.
- 12:03Speaker 3: There is nothing like feel messy.
- 12:05Speaker 2: In scripture, messy is always action, allelujam. But tonight I
- 12:15Speaker 2: am particularly concerned about the administration of messy. Because as
- 12:20Speaker 2: powerful and as cheap, as free as the messy of
- 12:24Speaker 2: God is, you will be surprised that there are individuals
- 12:28Speaker 2: in desperate need of his messy who may never, never
- 12:31Speaker 2: be able to receive of his messy because they do
- 12:34Speaker 2: not understand his system of administering messy.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Please follow very carefully. My teaching begins.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Now. We need to understand how God designed his messy
- 12:46Speaker 2: to be administered. Several people have received, for instance, the
- 12:55Speaker 2: COVID vaccine, or any kind of vaccine at all. When
- 12:58Speaker 2: you come to receive vaccine, there is a system of
- 13:02Speaker 2: administering it.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Is that true?
- 13:04Speaker 2: Yes, you don't bring your head and say can you
- 13:07Speaker 2: put the syringe? Just any part of my body? The
- 13:09Speaker 2: most important thing is that it should get into my body.
- 13:11Speaker 3: You may have a problem. Is that true?
- 13:15Speaker 2: Yes, there is a system. So just because it is
- 13:18Speaker 2: the messy of God does not mean it works Anyhow.
- 13:21Speaker 2: We have to understand his system of administering mercy, and
- 13:28Speaker 2: we find it scuttered through scripture. Let's go to Palm
- 13:34Speaker 2: fifty one and verse seventeen. Let me hurry for sake
- 13:36Speaker 2: of time Some fifty one and verse seventeen. The Bible
- 13:42Speaker 2: gives us a very interesting condition that defines a spiritual
- 13:46Speaker 2: state that a man must assume to be a recipient
- 13:51Speaker 2: of God's mercy. The sacrifices of God, it says, are
- 13:55Speaker 2: a broken spirit, a broken spirit, he says, a broken
- 14:01Speaker 2: and a contrite heart, or God, thou will not despise.
- 14:07Speaker 3: That means God.
- 14:08Speaker 2: In my studying you, I have found out that you
- 14:11Speaker 2: are vulnerable to a kind of people. There is a
- 14:14Speaker 2: kind of man that when you see, you cannot run
- 14:17Speaker 2: away from. It's almost like a if I would use
- 14:21Speaker 2: that expression for want of what a weakness in God
- 14:25Speaker 2: that the psam is. In studying God, he found a
- 14:27Speaker 2: weak point that, no matter how much God hardens his
- 14:31Speaker 2: heart towards man, there is a posture spiritually that when
- 14:35Speaker 2: you take immediately you get his attention. And he says,
- 14:40Speaker 2: anyone who assumes the position of a broken and a
- 14:43Speaker 2: contrived spirit, He says, Oh, God, thou wilt not despise?
- 14:47Speaker 2: Are we together now? So not everyone will truly and
- 14:53Speaker 2: sadly be a recipient of God's mercy. There is a
- 14:56Speaker 2: posture that any man must assume every way in scripture
- 15:01Speaker 2: you see the administration of God's mercy. For running the
- 15:05Speaker 2: delivery of God's mercy is brokenness.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Please write it down. Brokenness is the name.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Given to the spiritual state that any and every man
- 15:15Speaker 2: must assume to be a recipient of God's mercy. Some
- 15:23Speaker 2: thirty four and verse eighteen. Some thirty four and verse eighteen,
- 15:29Speaker 2: the Bible says, the Lord is nigh onto them that
- 15:33Speaker 2: are of a broken heart. He said, and say that
- 15:37Speaker 2: such as be of a contrite spirit. Is that in
- 15:41Speaker 2: your Bible the Lord it is impossible for him to
- 15:46Speaker 2: be far from those that are of a broken heart,
- 15:50Speaker 2: And that those who will experience His salvation expressed as
- 15:54Speaker 2: is messy, are those who are of a contrite spirit
- 16:00Speaker 2: now scattered through scripture. The way we study scripture, as
- 16:04Speaker 2: you know, the Bible essentially helps us to know God
- 16:10Speaker 2: by revealing three components. Number one, the promises of God.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Number two the principles of the Kingdom, what we call
- 16:20Speaker 2: the mysteries of the Kingdom. Then number three prophecies. So
- 16:24Speaker 2: every time you open your Bible to learn God, you
- 16:26Speaker 2: find captured in scripture the promises of God, a representation
- 16:31Speaker 2: of the boundaries of his commitment to the believer. Because
- 16:35Speaker 2: God cannot be committed to the believer outside of the
- 16:38Speaker 2: allowance that scripture provides. He is mighty and he is great,
- 16:42Speaker 2: but he limits his dealings with men to the provisions
- 16:46Speaker 2: that scripture allows.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Are we together? Now?
- 16:49Speaker 2: That means it is not just what you want that
- 16:51Speaker 2: God does. It is what you want that is consistent
- 16:55Speaker 2: with the provisions that scripture allows. And He has exalted
- 16:59Speaker 2: his word even above his name. So you find promises
- 17:05Speaker 2: Number two, you find principles, the modus operandi of the kingdom.
- 17:10Speaker 2: It gives you a capture of the ways of God,
- 17:14Speaker 2: the methodologies of the kingdom, captured in stories, captured in parables,
- 17:19Speaker 2: captured in similitude, so that when you study these parables
- 17:24Speaker 2: and these stories behind the stories, are a revelation of
- 17:29Speaker 2: the ways of God. Are we together? The Bible says
- 17:32Speaker 2: the things that are written afore time, It says that
- 17:35Speaker 2: they are for our learning, so that we, through the
- 17:38Speaker 2: comfort of scripture, might find hope. Are we learning tonight?
- 17:44Speaker 2: We're going to examine very quickly a story that captures,
- 17:48Speaker 2: in my opinion, it is the most detailed capture of
- 17:53Speaker 2: rebellion against authority, and then how the see of God
- 18:01Speaker 2: is administered. I want you to follow me very quickly
- 18:04Speaker 2: as we go to Luke chapter fifteen and examine a
- 18:07Speaker 2: very popular story. We know it to be the story
- 18:11Speaker 2: of the prodigal son. Look fifteen. Let's begin our reading
- 18:17Speaker 2: from verse eleven. The Bible says, and he said a
- 18:24Speaker 2: certain man had two sons follow the story closely, the
- 18:28Speaker 2: Bible says, and the younger of them said to his father, father,
- 18:33Speaker 2: give me the portion of goods that fall led to me,
- 18:38Speaker 2: And the Bible says, and he divided onto them his living.
- 18:42Speaker 2: And not many days after, the younger son gathered all
- 18:47Speaker 2: together and took off his journey into a far country,
- 18:52Speaker 2: and there wasted his substance with riotos living. There's no
- 18:57Speaker 2: point to deal with this story and show you all
- 18:59Speaker 2: the lessons that should be learned. But maybe I should
- 19:02Speaker 2: just take a few seconds to explain something. This was
- 19:06Speaker 2: the first decision he took outside the influence of his father,
- 19:10Speaker 2: and it was disaster. That meant that all his results
- 19:14Speaker 2: was credited to his connection to his father. The devil,
- 19:18Speaker 2: knowing that his immunity and his strength was connected to
- 19:21Speaker 2: his relationship, insisted to dissociate him from his father, and
- 19:25Speaker 2: the first decision that he would take out of the
- 19:28Speaker 2: influence of his father landed him in trouble. Same thing
- 19:32Speaker 2: happened to Abraham and Lot. God called Abraham, and the
- 19:36Speaker 2: Bible says, and Lot went with him. The first decision
- 19:40Speaker 2: Lot would make outside of.
- 19:42Speaker 3: The influence of Abraham landed him in sodom. Allelujah. Let's
- 19:47Speaker 3: read on verse thirteen.
- 19:52Speaker 2: The Bible says, he went and wasted his substance with Riotos,
- 19:56Speaker 2: living fourteen now, and when he had spent all, there
- 20:01Speaker 2: arose a mighty famine in the land, and he began
- 20:05Speaker 2: to be in want. He went and joined himself to
- 20:10Speaker 2: a citizen of that country, and he's sent him into
- 20:15Speaker 2: his field to feed with swine. Look at the gradual decredation, degradation,
- 20:20Speaker 2: and dicadence.
- 20:21Speaker 3: That was happening to this man.
- 20:23Speaker 2: And then the Bible says verse sixteen, and he would
- 20:27Speaker 2: fain have filled his belly with the husk that the
- 20:30Speaker 2: swine did eat, and no man gave onto him. Next verse,
- 20:36Speaker 2: when he came to himself. This is a very powerful
- 20:41Speaker 2: revelation of what God put in man. The Bible never
- 20:44Speaker 2: said the Holy Girl spoke to him. The Bible never
- 20:47Speaker 2: said an angel appeared before him. That means it is
- 20:50Speaker 2: within the power of man to come to himself. You
- 20:53Speaker 2: may not be able to help yourself, but you can
- 20:56Speaker 2: come to the realization that you need help. Follow closely,
- 21:00Speaker 2: this is the protocol of the administration of messy.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Please keep that scripture there.
- 21:05Speaker 2: He came to himself, and then he said to who
- 21:10Speaker 2: now himself, how many hired servants of my father's have
- 21:16Speaker 2: bred enough to eat and to spare, and I perish
- 21:21Speaker 2: with hunger. Can you see that sometimes hunger is a
- 21:24Speaker 2: blessing because it's sustains a unique ability to make you
- 21:28Speaker 2: come to There would be no need for this kind
- 21:32Speaker 2: of intelligent discussion if there was plenty. The Bible says
- 21:37Speaker 2: he came to himself, followed closely verse eighteen. I will arise.
- 21:43Speaker 2: He's speaking to himself now, so he had that ability.
- 21:47Speaker 2: I will arise and go to my father, and I
- 21:51Speaker 2: will say unto him, Father, I have seen against heaven
- 21:56Speaker 2: and before thee It took a lot of thoughtfulness to
- 21:59Speaker 2: get to that point to know the extent of his sin.
- 22:03Speaker 2: That I've not just seen against you, I have seen
- 22:06Speaker 2: against heaven and against you. I am no more worthy
- 22:10Speaker 2: to be called thy son. Make me as one of
- 22:13Speaker 2: thy highert savants say brokenness. Every Where you find the
- 22:18Speaker 2: messy of God a minister, you always find a broken
- 22:23Speaker 2: and a contrite heart.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Please keep that story there. Let's finish up.
- 22:26Speaker 2: It says, I am no more worthy to be called
- 22:28Speaker 2: your son. Make me as one of the highert savants twenty.
- 22:33Speaker 2: The Bible says he are rose. He would have thought
- 22:35Speaker 2: to himself and remained there. It is within your power
- 22:40Speaker 2: to come to yourself, and it is within your power
- 22:43Speaker 2: to begin to take a step that demonstrates brokenness. The
- 22:46Speaker 2: Bible says, he are rose, And he came to his father.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Watch this now. But when he was yet a great
- 22:53Speaker 2: way off, his father saw him and had there you
- 22:58Speaker 2: see our terminology again. He never said he had messy,
- 23:02Speaker 2: because messy always flows from compassion. The father had compassion Iran,
- 23:10Speaker 2: and fell on his neck and kissed.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Him Verse twenty one.
- 23:16Speaker 2: And the son said to him, father, can you see
- 23:19Speaker 2: that he was really determined? He said what he said
- 23:22Speaker 2: to himself. He would say to the father, I have
- 23:25Speaker 2: seen against heaven and in thy sight, and I am
- 23:28Speaker 2: no more worthy to be called your son. In the
- 23:32Speaker 2: presence of such welcome from his father, many people will
- 23:36Speaker 2: keep quiet and not say what they said, they would say.
- 23:39Speaker 2: But now he said, not even your honor would distract me.
- 23:43Speaker 2: I am that broken. I have to let you know.
- 23:46Speaker 3: That I am broken. Twenty two But the father said
- 23:52Speaker 3: to his servants.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Bring forth the best robe, this is the character of MESSI,
- 23:58Speaker 2: and put it on he.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Hi.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Do you know he never said above him? He said,
- 24:05Speaker 2: bring forth I don't care what condition. All that I
- 24:08Speaker 2: need to see I have seen there is brokenness. Bring
- 24:12Speaker 2: forth the best role. Put it on him, and put
- 24:15Speaker 2: it ring a symbol of authority. Put it on his hand,
- 24:18Speaker 2: and shoes on his feet, and bring hither the fatted calf,
- 24:25Speaker 2: and kill him, and let us eat and be merry.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Why for this my son was dead? What was the
- 24:35Speaker 2: father talking about? Dead? What killed him? When you read scripture,
- 24:43Speaker 2: don't rush. A man is talking to a son who
- 24:47Speaker 2: is alive. And hear what the father is saying. This
- 24:50Speaker 2: my son was dead. That means you don't need to
- 24:53Speaker 2: die to be dead. This, my son, there is a
- 24:58Speaker 2: condition that is equal to death, even when you are alive.
- 25:02Speaker 2: This young man satisfied that condition that the Bible calls death.
- 25:07Speaker 2: What is it? Separation? Is that not in your Bible
- 25:12Speaker 2: that God's idea of death is not just cessation from living.
- 25:16Speaker 2: That once you are outside of your connection with your source.
- 25:19Speaker 2: The word abbamin source sustain, a defender, protector. Once you
- 25:25Speaker 2: caught away, you are dead. This my son was dead.
- 25:28Speaker 2: What was the death he left me? And the Bible says,
- 25:32Speaker 2: now he's alive. What gave him life? The connection he
- 25:39Speaker 2: was lost and is found And they began to be married.
- 25:43Speaker 2: And we're learning tonight twenty five. Now we're about to
- 25:48Speaker 2: learn another lesson. His elder brother was in the field,
- 25:53Speaker 2: and he came and drew nigh to the house, and
- 25:57Speaker 2: he heard music and dancing for loc.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Assume you are the elder brother. And he called one.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Of the servants and asked what things what these things meant?
- 26:09Speaker 3: And he said, unto.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Him, thy brother is come, and thy father had killed
- 26:13Speaker 2: the fatted calf because he had received him safe.
- 26:17Speaker 3: And sound, and he was.
- 26:25Speaker 2: He was angry and would not go in Derefore, came
- 26:31Speaker 2: his father out and entreated him. What a good father.
- 26:36Speaker 3: We talk about the children and forget the father. The
- 26:40Speaker 3: father was good.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Next verse and he answered and said to his father,
- 26:47Speaker 2: now these many years, do I serve thee neither transgress
- 26:52Speaker 2: I any time at thy commandments, and.
- 26:56Speaker 5: Yet thou never gavest me messy?
- 27:01Speaker 2: How could I have been so close to you as
- 27:04Speaker 2: far as some concern, I fulfill the condition that would
- 27:07Speaker 2: have made me a recipient of your messy, And as
- 27:10Speaker 2: close as I was with you all these years, in
- 27:13Speaker 2: spite of proximity, I never truly benefited from your messy.
- 27:19Speaker 2: You can be so close to the point of messy.
- 27:23Speaker 3: But if you do not fulfill. He made one mistake.
- 27:26Speaker 2: This was his mistake. I have served you, and I
- 27:29Speaker 2: did not transgress. It's called self righteousness. So he believed
- 27:35Speaker 2: that I am deserving of your messy by reason of
- 27:38Speaker 2: my flawlessness, he might script greater himself, and demanded an
- 27:44Speaker 2: award called messy. The father is about to correct the
- 27:47Speaker 2: young man. Now are we learning now? And yet you
- 27:51Speaker 2: never gave me a kid that I may make merry
- 27:54Speaker 2: with my friends. But as soon as this thy son
- 28:01Speaker 2: was come, which had devoured thy living with harlots and
- 28:07Speaker 2: had killed for him. Look at how he's complicated. Are
- 28:10Speaker 2: you seeing the detail he's reminding the father? In case
- 28:13Speaker 2: you are forgotten, let me help you understand the kind
- 28:16Speaker 2: of person you are showing messy to. He didn't say
- 28:21Speaker 2: a one who was feeding with the swine. He found
- 28:24Speaker 2: the most dangerous part of the story and brought it
- 28:26Speaker 2: before the father. Thou hast killed for him the fatted
- 28:33Speaker 2: calf that he won, and he said, unto him, son,
- 28:39Speaker 2: thou at ever with me, and all that I have
- 28:43Speaker 2: is dying.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Look or please?
- 28:47Speaker 2: He said, It was meant that we should make mary
- 28:50Speaker 2: and be glad for this. Thy brother was dead and
- 28:55Speaker 2: is alive again. Remember his definition of death now.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Was lost and is found.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Let me ask you a question, how many of the
- 29:07Speaker 2: man's sons were dead? Because we see that the results
- 29:20Speaker 2: that follow those who die was.
- 29:23Speaker 3: On both the elder and the younger.
- 29:28Speaker 2: The only difference was that one acted out his rebellion
- 29:31Speaker 2: and his anger by leaving the other. One remained in
- 29:35Speaker 2: the house, but he was not broken. You need to
- 29:39Speaker 2: understand this. When you understand this condition, you will know
- 29:43Speaker 2: why so many people you prefer and say, Lord, are
- 29:46Speaker 2: you blind? Are you not seeing this person? And yet
- 29:49Speaker 2: it looks like they cannot. The condition for messy is
- 29:52Speaker 2: not service. No, he was serving in the house. The
- 29:59Speaker 2: condition for message not flawlessness. The young man did it
- 30:04Speaker 2: the moment the sun satisfied that condition. I will arise
- 30:11Speaker 2: and I will go to my father and I will say, Father,
- 30:14Speaker 2: there is something I have recognized my inadequacy.
- 30:19Speaker 3: I have recognized my need for your influence.
- 30:22Speaker 2: I have recognized that I cannot help myself. The Father said,
- 30:26Speaker 2: You've satisfied the condition. Stop believers. Let me tell you
- 30:30Speaker 2: here in lies the mystery behind God's supposed commitment to
- 30:36Speaker 2: the life of others. And it looks like God seems
- 30:39Speaker 2: to handpick a few people. And you're wondering, God, why
- 30:42Speaker 2: are you investing your time, your attention, your resources on
- 30:46Speaker 2: dispersing And I'm there, and it's as if you are
- 30:49Speaker 2: passing me. And I'm a Christian, I'm a tranchegoer. I
- 30:53Speaker 2: love you, I love my pastor. And it looks like
- 30:56Speaker 2: things are not working. I'll show you the system of administering.
- 31:00Speaker 2: When the strength of God comes, and it finds strength,
- 31:04Speaker 2: it will go back. The strength of God comes looking
- 31:07Speaker 2: for brokenness.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Do you know what brokenness is?
- 31:16Speaker 2: Brokenness is a state of admittance of your inability to
- 31:21Speaker 2: help yourself out of your personal resources that you are
- 31:24Speaker 2: inadequate by default, by reason of the fallen nature. You
- 31:28Speaker 2: don't have to wait to act it out and learn
- 31:31Speaker 2: it lessen from your pain that by default you recognize
- 31:35Speaker 2: that if at any point you are unassisted by Heaven,
- 31:39Speaker 2: the result will always be disaster. So you don't have
- 31:42Speaker 2: to wait until you act and then surprise yourself. It
- 31:45Speaker 2: is a revelation that is ever before you that God
- 31:49Speaker 2: is not just the matter of Christianity. God is not
- 31:52Speaker 2: just the matter of Church. Is your life. If at
- 31:56Speaker 2: any point you are separate from His influence, whatever decision
- 32:02Speaker 2: that is made from that standpoint, like the prodigal song,
- 32:06Speaker 2: like lot, will always take you to disaster. Brokenness, the
- 32:13Speaker 2: messy of God is ever searching for brokenness, brokenness among preachers,
- 32:20Speaker 2: brokenness among business people, brokenness.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Among all kinds of people.
- 32:25Speaker 2: So you can find out that a young man can
- 32:27Speaker 2: be smoking and drinking and lying down under a breage
- 32:32Speaker 2: and wondering, but in his heart he's saying, if there
- 32:35Speaker 2: is a God, I know, I do not deserve to
- 32:39Speaker 2: see your face. Suddenly Jesus will leave a prayer warrior
- 32:43Speaker 2: who is rolling in a room and come and appear
- 32:47Speaker 2: before someone who is under a bridge, and say, I
- 32:49Speaker 2: am Jesus, whom thou persecutest. If you do not know
- 32:58Speaker 2: what God looks for in men to help men. We
- 33:01Speaker 2: can continue shadow boxing in self righteousness and hoping that
- 33:06Speaker 2: we will find his help.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Are we learning.
- 33:18Speaker 2: In Daniel Chapter four, let me hurry for time Daniel
- 33:21Speaker 2: chapter four.
- 33:22Speaker 3: Let's look at verse thirty four.
- 33:23Speaker 2: This was the story of Nebukednessa. Remember he had a
- 33:29Speaker 2: dream about himself and the disaster that was going to
- 33:32Speaker 2: come to him. At the end of the days eye
- 33:34Speaker 2: Nebuckardnessa lifted up mine eyes on to heaven, and my
- 33:38Speaker 2: understanding returned to me. And I blessed the most High
- 33:43Speaker 2: Am praised and honored him that lived forever. This was
- 33:46Speaker 2: after seven years of becoming an animal.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Remember, he was so haughty.
- 33:51Speaker 2: He lifted himself and believed that he was God until
- 33:55Speaker 2: he was turned to an animal for seven years. This
- 33:58Speaker 2: was the prayer of a penitent man. Watch brokenness, even
- 34:02Speaker 2: from a king, are you ready? And I praised and
- 34:07Speaker 2: honored him that lived forever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion,
- 34:12Speaker 2: and his kingdom is from generation to generation. Next verse Please,
- 34:17Speaker 2: and all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing.
- 34:22Speaker 2: And he do it according to his will in the
- 34:25Speaker 2: army of Heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth,
- 34:29Speaker 2: and none can stake his hand or say unto him,
- 34:33Speaker 2: what do us thou. At the same time, my reason
- 34:39Speaker 2: returned on to me, and for the glory of my kingdom,
- 34:42Speaker 2: my honor and brightness return on to me and my counselors,
- 34:46Speaker 2: and my Lord sought onto me, and I was established
- 34:49Speaker 2: in my kingdom. An excellent majesty was added to me
- 34:53Speaker 2: when he acknowledged that truly there was a God above him.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Let me tell you this, many many believe unable to
- 35:01Speaker 2: receive of the messy of God, because there is something
- 35:05Speaker 2: about the nature of man that would not admit that
- 35:08Speaker 2: you are limited. There is something about the pride of man,
- 35:17Speaker 2: especially in the presence of seeming results, it is very
- 35:21Speaker 2: difficult to admit. I wish I had time would have
- 35:29Speaker 2: examined the story. One interesting story in the Bible the
- 35:33Speaker 2: story of Jonah. When you reach chapter one, the Bible
- 35:36Speaker 2: tells us Jonah's encounter with the Lord and you were
- 35:40Speaker 2: sent to Ninivate to warn them of your sins. The
- 35:42Speaker 2: Bible says, Jonah run away. He ran away and straight
- 35:47Speaker 2: into the value of the fish. He caused people to
- 35:49Speaker 2: lose their properties. When you go to verse two. Verse
- 35:52Speaker 2: two in its entities the prayer of Jonah. Jonah was
- 35:55Speaker 2: praying in the belly of the fish. You see brokenness
- 35:57Speaker 2: in the value of the fish too, Is that true?
- 36:00Speaker 2: And Jonah prayed onto the Lord he is God, out
- 36:03Speaker 2: of the fish's belly. Let's look at two and three.
- 36:05Speaker 2: I cried by reason of my affliction onto the Lord,
- 36:09Speaker 2: and he heard me out of the belly of hell,
- 36:12Speaker 2: cried I, and doubt heard us my voice. And when
- 36:15Speaker 2: you read on, you would see that Jonah continued to
- 36:19Speaker 2: express brokenness. And the moment brokenness was in place, the
- 36:24Speaker 2: fish could not eat Jonah again.
- 36:26Speaker 3: It brought him out.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Verse three.
- 36:27Speaker 3: God comes to him. Chapter three. He comes to him
- 36:30Speaker 3: a second time and says, Jonah.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Now you go and warn the people that in forty
- 36:37Speaker 2: days I'm coming to destroy them. And let me show
- 36:41Speaker 2: you what happened. Are you ready? Now he arose and
- 36:45Speaker 2: went to Nineveh. According to the world of the Lord.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Now Niniveh was an exceeding great city of three days Johnny.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Jonah began to enter into the city a day's johnny
- 36:55Speaker 2: and cried and said, yet forty days and Niniveh shall
- 36:59Speaker 2: be over on you will see why Jonah ran away
- 37:03Speaker 2: from God? So the people of Nineveh believed God and
- 37:06Speaker 2: proclaimed a fast shut brokenness, and proclaimed a fast and
- 37:14Speaker 2: put on sacklot, from the greatest of them even to
- 37:19Speaker 2: the least of them. For the word came onto the
- 37:23Speaker 2: King of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and
- 37:27Speaker 2: he laid his rope from him and covered him with
- 37:30Speaker 2: sacklot and sat in ashes. And he caused it to
- 37:35Speaker 2: be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh, by the decree of
- 37:39Speaker 2: the king and his nobles, saying, let neither man nor
- 37:43Speaker 2: beast hurt, nor flock taste anything. Let them not feed
- 37:48Speaker 2: nor drink water. But let man and beast be covered
- 37:51Speaker 2: with sackcloth and cry mightily onto God. Yay, Let them
- 37:57Speaker 2: turn everyone from his evil way and from the violence
- 38:01Speaker 2: that is in their hands. Results Who can tell if
- 38:05Speaker 2: God will turn and repent and turn away from his
- 38:09Speaker 2: fierce anger that we perish not. God saw their works,
- 38:15Speaker 2: that they turned from their evil way, and God repented
- 38:19Speaker 2: of the evil, and that he had said he would
- 38:22Speaker 2: do unto them, and he did it not.
- 38:28Speaker 3: But Jonah, just.
- 38:30Speaker 2: You see why Jonah ran away. There was something about God.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Jonah neil. He said, God don't waste my time. I'm
- 38:36Speaker 2: not ready to be insulted by these evil people, only
- 38:39Speaker 2: for you to now turn as though you were I
- 38:41Speaker 2: was a false prophet. I need punishment that validates that
- 38:45Speaker 2: I'm a genuine prophet. And I know this. If you
- 38:48Speaker 2: find brokenness as evil as these people, only God knows
- 38:52Speaker 2: how many of Jonah's relatives were victims of your wickedness.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Chapter four and verse one. Please go to verse one.
- 39:02Speaker 2: But it please Jonah exceedingly. And he was very angry.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Why was he angry? Guess what he said? He's talking
- 39:10Speaker 2: to God now. And he prayed onto God and said,
- 39:13Speaker 2: I pray thee Oh Lord. Was not this my saying
- 39:17Speaker 2: when I was yet in my country. Therefore I fled
- 39:20Speaker 2: before onto Tashis, for I knew that thou at a
- 39:24Speaker 2: gracious God and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness,
- 39:30Speaker 2: and repented day of the evil. Jonah said, there is
- 39:33Speaker 2: this information I know in my dealing with you, I
- 39:37Speaker 2: have learned that there is a weak spot when you
- 39:39Speaker 2: find broken people, individuals, families, churches, territories, even nations. You
- 39:46Speaker 2: can't turn against your prophet for the sake of brokenness.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Jonah said, I know this about you. You sent me,
- 39:54Speaker 2: and now I'm looking like a liar. Oh the what's
- 40:06Speaker 2: that song?
- 40:07Speaker 4: Over welming never rending? Oh jesues me down? Fight still
- 40:21Speaker 4: found leave the nineteen.
- 40:25Speaker 3: I couldn't earn it.
- 40:28Speaker 2: I don't deserve steal.
- 40:31Speaker 6: You gave yourself away. Oh the other welly never rending.
- 40:47Speaker 2: You see that Jonah was a genuine prophet. There was
- 40:50Speaker 2: something about the nature of God he understood. He said, God,
- 40:54Speaker 2: you are sending me to these people. Don't waste my time.
- 40:57Speaker 2: I'd rather run away. I know you. When you find brokenness,
- 41:01Speaker 2: nothing can stand your messy. So that it does not
- 41:07Speaker 2: matter what my father did, what I did.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Here's how the Bible puts it.
- 41:13Speaker 2: If my people, which are called by my name, they
- 41:20Speaker 2: will never see healing. No, just because I am merciful
- 41:24Speaker 2: does not mean they will receive it. There is a
- 41:26Speaker 2: condition on your own part Number one, they shall humble themselves.
- 41:31Speaker 2: Number two, they shall pray. Number three, they shall seek
- 41:36Speaker 2: my face. Four turned from their wicked ways. It says,
- 41:40Speaker 2: then we like hear from heaven, and I will forgive
- 41:43Speaker 2: their sins, and I will heal your lands.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Here is the balance, believers, hear me.
- 41:49Speaker 2: There are many people who believe that just because they
- 41:53Speaker 2: are aware of the extent of God's love and benevolence,
- 41:57Speaker 2: that awareness will immediately imp that messy to them.
- 42:01Speaker 3: That is serious error.
- 42:03Speaker 2: There are many people who continue to jump and claim
- 42:06Speaker 2: the messy of God without a state of brokenness.
- 42:10Speaker 3: Here is the balance that we must learn.
- 42:13Speaker 2: As powerful as the messy of God is, there is
- 42:16Speaker 2: a state. This is not only true for God to man,
- 42:22Speaker 2: it is also true from man to man. How many
- 42:27Speaker 2: people are so desperately deserving of messy and yet you
- 42:31Speaker 2: do not find brokenness in them. How many workers to
- 42:36Speaker 2: their bosses, How many spouses to themselves? How many leaders
- 42:40Speaker 2: in church and business? How many people are so deserving
- 42:44Speaker 2: of messy that messy would travel to come and meet them.
- 42:48Speaker 2: The Bible says come before the throne of grace. If
- 42:51Speaker 2: you want to obtain messy, you have to take the step.
- 42:54Speaker 2: The prodigal son never met his father at home, but
- 42:57Speaker 2: the father never met him in the place of his men.
- 43:01Speaker 2: They met somewhere in the place of his brokenness and obedience.
- 43:10Speaker 2: If we want to experience the messy of God in
- 43:12Speaker 2: our lives, we must understand that it is a broken
- 43:18Speaker 2: and a contract spirit. Let me wrap up with one
- 43:22Speaker 2: more scripture, Look eighteen. Let's read from verse nine. Jesus
- 43:29Speaker 2: began the discussing Look eighteen, teaching on the ministry of prayer. Remember,
- 43:33Speaker 2: he spake a parable to the end that men ought
- 43:35Speaker 2: always to pray and not to faint. And then he
- 43:39Speaker 2: gives the parable of the unjust George and the weak woman.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Then when we get.
- 43:43Speaker 3: To verse nine, verse nine, now.
- 43:45Speaker 2: He now talks about the danger of self righteousness. Watch
- 43:50Speaker 2: this carefully. He spake this parable onto certain which trusted
- 43:56Speaker 2: in themselves. Are you there? That they were right choice
- 44:00Speaker 2: and despise others. So this was the morale of the parable.
- 44:05Speaker 2: He was teaching the danger of self righteousness.
- 44:09Speaker 3: Verse ten.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Two men went up to the temple to pray. They
- 44:13Speaker 2: were not doing evil. It was prayer. One a pharisee
- 44:19Speaker 2: and the other a publican. The pharisee stood and prayed
- 44:23Speaker 2: thoss with himself ready here the prayer of the Pharisee, God,
- 44:29Speaker 2: I thank THEE. I am not as the other men,
- 44:33Speaker 2: which are number one extortionists us adult trust or even
- 44:39Speaker 2: as these publicans standing by my side. He's talking to God. Now,
- 44:44Speaker 2: I first twice in the week I give tithes of
- 44:47Speaker 2: all that I possess, and the publicans standing afar off
- 44:55Speaker 2: would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Who is speaking here? Geejesus. Jesus is teaching something. When
- 45:03Speaker 2: Jesus is talking, you listen to him. He's the wisdom
- 45:06Speaker 2: of God. He lifted his eyes to heaven, he says,
- 45:10Speaker 2: but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful on
- 45:15Speaker 2: to me a sinner. I tell you this man went
- 45:22Speaker 2: down to his house justified rather than the other. For
- 45:26Speaker 2: everyone that exalted himself shall be abased, and he that
- 45:32Speaker 2: humblet himself shall be exalted. Still look chapter eighteen.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Let's go to verse thirty five.
- 45:46Speaker 2: And it came to pass that as he was come
- 45:49Speaker 2: nigh to Jericho, a certain blind man. According to Luke's account,
- 45:54Speaker 2: he calls him a blind man, orther synoptic accounts would
- 45:57Speaker 2: give him the name blind Batamio. And a certain blind
- 46:03Speaker 2: man sat by the wayside, becking and hearing the multitude
- 46:10Speaker 2: passed by, he asked what it meant follow carefully now?
- 46:15Speaker 2: And they told him that Jesus of Nazareth passed by,
- 46:20Speaker 2: and he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, please
- 46:26Speaker 2: finish it up for me. He never said, heal me,
- 46:31Speaker 2: because healing is an expression of mersy. The entirety of
- 46:36Speaker 2: the healing ministry is God's expression of messy. The man
- 46:45Speaker 2: was not clear what exactly he needed, but he knew
- 46:48Speaker 2: that whatever it is that would be the cure for
- 46:51Speaker 2: my weakness is under the department of God's messy. I
- 46:55Speaker 2: told you that there are two expressions of messy. Do
- 46:57Speaker 2: not forget. Number one has to do it forgives and
- 47:01Speaker 2: providing pardon. Is that true over one who is guilty
- 47:08Speaker 2: an offender. But that there is another expression of it
- 47:12Speaker 2: that has to do with providing relief for one who
- 47:15Speaker 2: is weak, one who is beggarly and incapacitated. Every one
- 47:20Speaker 2: of us here under the sound of my voice will
- 47:23Speaker 2: require one or more of these expressions for the rest
- 47:26Speaker 2: of your life.
- 47:29Speaker 3: H please, let's finish up the story.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Look, he cried, saying, Jesus, thou, son of David, have
- 47:40Speaker 2: messy on me. The Bible says, and Day which went
- 47:44Speaker 2: before rebuked him that he should hold his peace. But
- 47:48Speaker 2: he cried so much the more, Thou, son of David,
- 47:52Speaker 2: have messy on me. And Jesus stood, are you saying that?
- 47:59Speaker 2: By this thing act? Jesus confirmed that he was an
- 48:02Speaker 2: expression of God. Because remember what the Psalmi said, a
- 48:06Speaker 2: broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
- 48:10Speaker 2: So if Jesus was truly the invisible image or the
- 48:14Speaker 2: express image of the invisible God, he should not see
- 48:18Speaker 2: brokenness and pass. So he stopped and commanded him to
- 48:23Speaker 2: be brought to him. When he was come near, he
- 48:27Speaker 2: asked him, saying, what will thou that I shall do?
- 48:33Speaker 2: Unto thee it looks like sarcasm. What should a blind
- 48:37Speaker 2: man want? And he said, Lord, that I may.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Receive my sight.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Just what he said, receive thy sight. Thy faith has
- 48:48Speaker 2: saved you. Immediately he received his sight and followed him,
- 48:55Speaker 2: glorifying God.
- 48:56Speaker 3: And all the people when they saw it, they gave
- 49:00Speaker 3: race to God messy.
- 49:03Speaker 2: Have you seen that? Everywhere you see the manifestation and
- 49:07Speaker 2: the administration of God's messy to individuals, to nations, to territories,
- 49:13Speaker 2: it always comes in response to brokenness. Therefore, if you
- 49:23Speaker 2: embrace brokenness as your default state, now you understand what
- 49:28Speaker 2: Jesus was saying in his beatitude when he said, blessed
- 49:32Speaker 2: a day that hunger and thirst. He was not finding
- 49:37Speaker 2: joy in their predecament. He was trying to describe his
- 49:42Speaker 2: state that if you are aware of your inadequasis, you
- 49:48Speaker 2: will always be filled.
- 49:50Speaker 3: It's a reward.
- 49:54Speaker 2: Listen as any man of God has, any business man,
- 50:01Speaker 2: as anyone who has experienced the grace and the glory
- 50:05Speaker 2: of God in their lives, their ministries, and their endeavors.
- 50:09Speaker 3: If they are to be honest with you, they.
- 50:12Speaker 2: May not even be able to articulate the basis of
- 50:15Speaker 2: such investment of God's attention upon their lives. I'm giving
- 50:19Speaker 2: you the theological explanation that there is something about their
- 50:23Speaker 2: work with the Holy Ghost that has brought them to
- 50:25Speaker 2: a perpetual state of brokenness. Brokenness is not self condemnation, No,
- 50:32Speaker 2: not at all. Brokenness is a state of awareness. Was
- 50:36Speaker 2: this not what happened to Isaiah in chapter six? When
- 50:39Speaker 2: Isaiah beheld the glory of God, here's what he said.
- 50:42Speaker 2: He said, woe is me.
- 50:43Speaker 3: For I am undone.
- 50:44Speaker 2: He said, I am a man of on clean lips,
- 50:47Speaker 2: and I dwell amidst the people of on clean lips.
- 50:50Speaker 2: From my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Host.
- 50:55Speaker 2: As a result, he was now ushered in to experience
- 50:59Speaker 2: the messy of God. One of the sheroops the seraphs
- 51:03Speaker 2: had a life call and he touched him, and he says,
- 51:06Speaker 2: your iniquity has been taken away from you. Believe us.
- 51:13Speaker 2: I don't know about you, but you see this man
- 51:16Speaker 2: standing before you. It's a product of God's mercy. When
- 51:20Speaker 2: I hear people brag and celebrate their achievements and everything,
- 51:24Speaker 2: I stand back and I know that, in all fairness,
- 51:29Speaker 2: would I be honest with myself to credit the results
- 51:33Speaker 2: on my life today to my performance?
- 51:36Speaker 3: Connection?
- 51:37Speaker 2: Is that true?
- 51:38Speaker 3: Would I be honest?
- 51:41Speaker 2: It's not just because I've read it in the Bible.
- 51:43Speaker 2: I am aware of the limitation of my state, sociologically, etc.
- 51:49Speaker 3: You see that.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Be careful less when you build houses. Deuteronometer to eight.
- 52:01Speaker 2: It was a warning when everything is in place for you,
- 52:05Speaker 2: that you will say my power and the might of
- 52:08Speaker 2: my hand. That is the side effect of success. That
- 52:12Speaker 2: it is possible that when you succeed and the spotlight
- 52:15Speaker 2: is on you, it becomes embarrassing to credit the honor
- 52:19Speaker 2: to another. There is something about men and each and
- 52:23Speaker 2: desire to be celebrated. Why would I turn the attention
- 52:30Speaker 2: of the world to me, we say, and now suddenly
- 52:33Speaker 2: turn it to another.
- 52:38Speaker 3: Let me tell you this.
- 52:40Speaker 2: There are men and women that will rise in these
- 52:42Speaker 2: end times. You will add them up and see that
- 52:45Speaker 2: as an equation. They don't add up. You will look
- 52:48Speaker 2: for where the wow factor is and not find it
- 52:51Speaker 2: is hidden in the messy, the messy of God invested
- 52:55Speaker 2: in their lives. At the instance of their brokenness. You
- 52:58Speaker 2: will see entrepreneur rise that when you sit and talk
- 53:02Speaker 2: with them, you will feel you are wasting your time.
- 53:04Speaker 2: Yet you cannot deny the results that come from their lives,
- 53:07Speaker 2: because behind your frailties there is the jealousy of a
- 53:12Speaker 2: great God back in them. You will see this in preachers.
- 53:17Speaker 2: You will see this in ordinary men. You will see
- 53:20Speaker 2: this in mothers. You will see this in children. Listen
- 53:25Speaker 2: to me. When you understand the entire theology of God's messy,
- 53:30Speaker 2: then you will now know how to be messiful to others.
- 53:34Speaker 2: You will know what to look for also in administering messy.
- 53:37Speaker 2: So no one just blackmails you spiritually. So messy, No,
- 53:42Speaker 2: I must, like God, find brokenness. If I do not
- 53:45Speaker 2: see brokenness, there is no point communicating messy. I was
- 53:55Speaker 2: glad when they said unto me. The Bible says, let
- 53:58Speaker 2: us go to the house of the Lord. You only
- 54:00Speaker 2: find this in the house of God, the wisdom of
- 54:03Speaker 2: God that strengthens us. Now as a leader, as a
- 54:07Speaker 2: business man, you know what to find in administering messy
- 54:10Speaker 2: to your people. Perfection is exhausting and unnecessary. Search for
- 54:16Speaker 2: brokenness among the many factors that you put us your
- 54:22Speaker 2: basis for lifting people. If you do not find the
- 54:26Speaker 2: component of brokenness, do not waste your time. A genuine
- 54:30Speaker 2: broken and a contrite heart.
- 54:33Speaker 3: Is what God looks for.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Question when we make the altar call, why do we
- 54:39Speaker 2: oftentimes at those who have admitted to stand up to
- 54:43Speaker 2: come and stand before everyone and make that declaration. Does
- 54:47Speaker 2: it really make any different spiritually if they just sit
- 54:50Speaker 2: back there and say, well, here is this prayer, go
- 54:53Speaker 2: home and go and say it between you and God?
- 54:55Speaker 3: Does it stop him from hearing all that they do?
- 54:58Speaker 2: That entire activity is just a way of helping them
- 55:02Speaker 2: to establish their brokenness before God, so they command stand.
- 55:09Speaker 2: Are you ashamed of him to stand before men? You
- 55:16Speaker 2: see why that coronation happened for Jesus. It was not
- 55:19Speaker 2: just because he was Lord. Find out what happened to him? Philippians,
- 55:23Speaker 2: chapter two, from verse five puts it very expressly. It says,
- 55:28Speaker 2: to permit this mind to be in you, which was
- 55:30Speaker 2: also in Christ Jesus. And then it says verse six,
- 55:33Speaker 2: as we wrap up, it says, who've been in the
- 55:35Speaker 2: form of God taught it not robbery to be equal
- 55:38Speaker 2: with God. What happened? Watch this? He made himself of
- 55:42Speaker 2: no reputation, watch the protocol now, and took upon himself
- 55:47Speaker 2: the form of a servant, and was making the likeness
- 55:51Speaker 2: of men, and being found in fashion as a man.
- 55:57Speaker 2: He humbled himself here it is, and became obedient onto death.
- 56:03Speaker 2: Now you understand our concept of death first separation before
- 56:07Speaker 2: cessation of living. As far as the three dimensional remis concern,
- 56:13Speaker 2: even the death on the cross, the death of the
- 56:15Speaker 2: cross is how cost people die. Wherefore, because that condition
- 56:21Speaker 2: of brokenness was established, do you know that when Jesus
- 56:26Speaker 2: walked upon the earth, he never called himself father Jesus.
- 56:33Speaker 2: He acknowledged perpetually that there was an authority above him.
- 56:37Speaker 2: Even as Jesus, he was comfortable being called.
- 56:41Speaker 3: Son Messiah, not father.
- 56:45Speaker 2: I can of my own self do nothing as the
- 56:48Speaker 2: word he did not think it was an embarrassment that
- 56:54Speaker 2: even though his original name was and still remained the world,
- 56:59Speaker 2: and that the Bible says, without him was not anything
- 57:03Speaker 2: made that was made. Yet he would say, I can
- 57:06Speaker 2: of my own self do nothing by reason of that brokenness.
- 57:11Speaker 3: Please back to Philippians chapter two.
- 57:14Speaker 2: It says, wherefore God had so highly exalted him and
- 57:19Speaker 2: given him an office that is above and greater than
- 57:23Speaker 2: any other office. And then he says, at that name,
- 57:29Speaker 2: every nie should bow of things in heaven, things in earth,
- 57:34Speaker 2: and things under the earth, and every tongue should confess
- 57:40Speaker 2: that that Jesus, who was the Christ at his baptism,
- 57:43Speaker 2: has now become Lord. The office that was given to
- 57:49Speaker 2: him is Lord, the absolute owner. So the psalm is
- 57:54Speaker 2: by the Spirit says the earth is the Lord's and
- 57:58Speaker 2: his fullness dearof. He sits in that office, not just
- 58:03Speaker 2: as Christ, but as Lord. This was the message of
- 58:05Speaker 2: Peter on the day of Pentecos. Let it be known
- 58:08Speaker 2: to you that that same Jesus whom you crucified, has
- 58:11Speaker 2: today been exalted as Lord and Christ. I show you
- 58:19Speaker 2: a mystery and a deep secret in the spirit behind
- 58:24Speaker 2: the mysterious rising of many, behind the investment of God's
- 58:29Speaker 2: jealousy and power and grace upon seeming people who are
- 58:34Speaker 2: seemingly not qualified. In all your diligence, in all your
- 58:41Speaker 2: being productive, in all your contending for knowledge, in all
- 58:46Speaker 2: your executions, remember that there is a state of inadequacy
- 58:52Speaker 2: in man, that our very best is still short. I
- 58:57Speaker 2: believe in productivity. I believe in deals. No visionary leader
- 59:02Speaker 2: will use the subject of God's messy to produce laziness
- 59:05Speaker 2: out of his people. No, the subject of God's messy,
- 59:09Speaker 2: if not understood, will make it look like there is
- 59:13Speaker 2: no need to be productive, There is no need to
- 59:15Speaker 2: submit yourself to learning and all of those things. I
- 59:17Speaker 2: told you that the messy of God is a system
- 59:19Speaker 2: of advantage that is based on the awareness that the
- 59:23Speaker 2: best of man has been examined with time, and it
- 59:26Speaker 2: has still been found to fail. Yesterday I wrapped up
- 59:29Speaker 2: with a scripture in John twenty one. The Bible says
- 59:32Speaker 2: that how Peter said, I go a fishing frustrated by
- 59:37Speaker 2: the transition of Jesus or the death of Jesus.
- 59:40Speaker 3: He said, so I.
- 59:41Speaker 2: Don't do two zero since I lost being a disciple.
- 59:44Speaker 2: Let me go back to what I was doing I
- 59:46Speaker 2: go a fishing and they said, we go with the
- 59:49Speaker 2: the Bible says, And they went forth and entered into
- 59:52Speaker 2: a ship immediately, and that night they caught was Peter
- 59:57Speaker 2: a good fisherman? Help me? Was his boat?
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: Was his net?
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Well?
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: Where do you find fish?
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: So he was in the right location, with the right tools,
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: having the right mind, yet no results. There are times
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: everything is right, yet no results. If you want to
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: find fish, you should be at sea. If you really
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: need to catch fish, you should have a functional net.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: There are times all business man, there are times a
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: man of God. There are times all family man that
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: from the standpoint of men's system, everything is in place,
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: yet you will surprisingly not catch fish. At that point
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: you do not need your skill again, leave the boat
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: and look for Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: little children, have you any catch. Peter would have been
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: angry to say, I'm older than you, Little children, Your
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: agemates were killed already, So everybody who was older than
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: Jesus was older than him, but at least two years,
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: he said, Remember his agemates were cute. Now he's calling Peter,
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: who is married, little children. Peter said, I accept, I
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: am a child, because if I'm not a child, I
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: should understand the dynamics.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: That will be able to produce fish.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: And since I am that incapacitated, your verdict about me
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: will not be taken for an insult. I accept. He
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: was ready for fish. He said, cast your net to
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: the right side. Since you pass that test and you're
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: not insulted by my assessment of your weakness, cast your
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: nets to the right side. The Bible says, he cast
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: his net to the right side, and all of a
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: suddenly he caught fish. Spend me a minute or twoards
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: we wrap up. Because someone came to church wondering, Lord,
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: I love you. I've been around church, remember the elder son,
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: I've been around you. What is it about me that
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: I've been in this church for five years and I
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: may not have that much testimonies?
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: A stranger comes.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: In and before the salmon is already crying, and he
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: leaves back with his healing.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: He leaves back with his breakthrough.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Two weeks afterwards, beck is returning with a buffet of testimonies.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: I show you the missing link. Could it be that
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: you have not understood that the best of man is
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: still limited? The mercy of God provides forgiveness, pardon for
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: the guilty and for the sinner, but it provides a
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: system of advantage to remedy for your inadequasis and remedy
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: for your limitations by reason of wearing a mortal body.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: This is what makes him a high priest who has compassion.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: I define compassion as the ability to be touched with
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: the feelings of our infirmities. Jesus today is seated at
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: the right hand as a man, not just as God.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: He went with his body the man Jesus, and he
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: makes intercession because God does not pray, only men pray.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: Pray is for men, so Jesus can pray because he's
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: still in heaven as a man, he makes intercession for us.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: The basis of his intercessory ministry is the fact that
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: he has felt the reality of our humanity. There's no
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: record of God being hungry, but when Jesus walked upon
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: the earth, he was hungry. One day he looked at
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: a tree that layered him. He came thinking green grass,
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: men fruit, or green leaves, and not finding any, he
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: costs the tree. The Bible did not hide the frustrations
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: of Jesus. The Bible did not hide the limitations that
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: even though God one time he came to the temple
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: and found men buying and selling, he whipped them. It's
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: in your bile. Jesus was angry. He wept that funerals.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: He was sad the reality of that human nature. Now
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: he captured that experience together, and he's seated at the
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: right hand, so he can tell the Father, I know
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: what it means to stand alone as a preacher from
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: a family where nobody believes you. I know, I know
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: what it means, Brothers and sisters. It is on the
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: strength of the awareness of God's messy that we are
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: also strengthened to communicate messy to others. The fortitude for
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: messy would not just come because you read it in scripture.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: You must have illumination and understanding. There is something intrinsic
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: about the nature of man that should not surprise you. Again,
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: the best of a man is still flawed. All it
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: takes to reveal that flow is time. Remember the story
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: I gave us yesterday, the woman caught in adultery. The
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: conviction started from the eldest, the one who had lived longest.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: No wonder our loved ones. The older they become, they
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: become like children. All their anger of youthfulness just erodes
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: with time, because by the time there are sixty seventy eighty,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: their life is full of stories and memories, and they
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: can look at you over something and say, just go
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: it's all right. My time isself. We're going to do
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: two things. One we're going to pray and asks the
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: Lord to perpetually keep us in a state of brokenness.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: Brokenness means that you acknowledge that an assisted by the
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: help of the spirit, you are inadequate and your best
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: is still shot, and that when God finds brokenness, you
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: are ready to be a bona fide recipient of his messy.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: Please rise upon your feet or whatever position you find comfortable,
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: because please lend me two three minutes my request so
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: that we pray. I don't know how you're going to
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: talk to the Lord tonight many following online.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: I like you to cry to your maker and my Maker.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: Do not make the mistake of praying the prayer of
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: the Pharisee. He came as a narrow gant one to
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: stand before God and was listing all his human credentials
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: in hope that those credentials will find him a space
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: in God's messy, But there was one who came standing
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: from a point of brokenness. Lift your voice in one minute,
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: cry to he that hears the prayers of broken people.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: It says, if I cherished iniquity in my heart, the
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Lord would not have hurt me.
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: Pray, Oh, the oh fawhelming, never randing, reckless love of God.
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: Oh he chases me, he leaves the ninety nine. I
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: couldn't earn it, and I don't deserve it.
- 1:07:20Speaker 8: Still you give yourself away, Ah, the overwhelming, never rending,
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: reckless love of God.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Make sure you're praying. Are you praying? Let it be
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: from the depth of your heart. I come before you
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: with brokenness, with the awareness that honor assisted. There is
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: frailty in my nature that will not allow me bet
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: the purposes of God accurately. It is based on this understanding.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: I come to you. Are you praying? No?
- 1:08:05Speaker 9: Shadow, you will light up mountain, You won't climb up
- 1:08:10Speaker 9: coming after me, No you won't kick down, lie, you
- 1:08:18Speaker 9: won't tear down coming after me?
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: Shallah Baco sad brand le Cara. In the name of
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Jesus Christ, the name of Jesus Christ.
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: Can I speak over your life.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: And that also doubles for those of you who are
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: trusting God for one healing miracle or the other.
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: I just want to take a minute to speak over
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: your life. Healing flows from His messy.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: It's a system of advantage to preserve your body, because
