A century-and-a-half-old book, “Antiquities of Athens,” mysteriously resurfaced in a Kiama library’s fireplace during renovations—lost since the library opened in 1872. Found by Ross Simmons, who suspects his great-great-grandfather may have borrowed it, the book could’ve racked up a $19,500 fine under old rules.
