- 0:03Speaker 1: Cynthia, thank you for joining us to Australia.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Australia, and now tell me one of you have been
- 0:10Speaker 2: here before, and we've been here before.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Long time decades ago? Okay, how long are we talking ago?
- 0:18Speaker 3: I came off.
- 0:19Speaker 4: I came here for about four months in nineteen eighty nine.
- 0:24Speaker 1: It's very different then.
- 0:25Speaker 3: I stayed in Double Bay. Okay, very nice there, and
- 0:29Speaker 3: it was summer.
- 0:29Speaker 2: I always say when people come to Australia, you really
- 0:32Speaker 2: want to come in summer and get the real Australian experience.
- 0:35Speaker 3: But it's pretty amazing. It's pretty much for the winter. Right.
- 0:38Speaker 3: We were not to shoot in front of the Opera
- 0:41Speaker 3: House yesterday and.
- 0:42Speaker 2: It was.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Unbelievable.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Is there anything you don't like about Australia? Everyone's always
- 0:48Speaker 1: very complimentary or something you find a little bit weird
- 0:52Speaker 1: to be here?
- 0:53Speaker 5: I think it's kind of I'm so like curious as
- 0:57Speaker 5: to why like all the Australians that I meet, or
- 0:59Speaker 5: so like happy like you guys are like generally and
- 1:02Speaker 5: a really good move.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Yeah what are we having?
- 1:04Speaker 5: I'm super friendly like you guys, so happy. I love it,
- 1:07Speaker 5: Like we need to take some of that back.
- 1:10Speaker 3: The weather plays a big part. In Australia, I feel
- 1:13Speaker 3: like the sun is out.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I lived in the UK for a couple of years
- 1:16Speaker 2: there and I remember everyone looking quite.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Depressed and like, yeah solid.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I think it has something to do with the dark
- 1:24Speaker 2: gray clouds.
- 1:25Speaker 4: But you do feel like in Australia it's a little
- 1:27Speaker 4: bit like old school, like you're still stuck in another time.
- 1:31Speaker 1: So what year would you if you just landed here?
- 1:33Speaker 1: What year would you say?
- 1:34Speaker 3: Australia the eighties?
- 1:36Speaker 4: Wow, Like if I saw someone doing aerobics, like we
- 1:39Speaker 4: saw someone in a band like Dracula someone and they
- 1:42Speaker 4: had on and out and I think I wore Halloween
- 1:44Speaker 4: when I was OK.
- 1:46Speaker 1: But that's what you find.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Your animals seem to appear to be more like stuffed animals.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Everything's cute. They're cute and fuzzy, and they have cute ears. Yes,
- 2:00Speaker 3: they're all huggable.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Let's talk about the housewives stuff. Do you think it's
- 2:04Speaker 1: hard to be married on the show. There's always a
- 2:06Speaker 1: lot of separations.
- 2:07Speaker 3: I think it's hard to be married.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Yeah, in general.
- 2:10Speaker 5: Yeah, to be honest, I've been through two marriages, two
- 2:13Speaker 5: divorces on the show, and I don't think the show
- 2:17Speaker 5: was the issue in either of those marriages.
- 2:20Speaker 3: I just think the show just brings it.
- 2:22Speaker 5: To maybe highlighted some of the issues, and we ended
- 2:25Speaker 5: up having conversations maybe we would not have had had
- 2:28Speaker 5: we not been on the show. So I will say
- 2:31Speaker 5: that marriage is not easy.
- 2:32Speaker 2: But I love love, and yeah, I love the idea
- 2:35Speaker 2: of almost being able to go back and watch some
- 2:37Speaker 2: certain episodes and like do some reflecting with said partner
- 2:41Speaker 2: and be like, see, see look.
- 2:42Speaker 3: At your behavior here. But I think we do that generally.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I think I think that that's the beautiful thing about
- 2:48Speaker 3: the show.
- 2:48Speaker 4: You can watch yourself and you can actually learn a
- 2:50Speaker 4: lot about yourself you don't know, and grow from it.
- 2:54Speaker 4: And you see, you see that over time with Housewaves,
- 2:56Speaker 4: I've been on you know, four or five, six, seven years,
- 2:59Speaker 4: how they you know, they transition a little bit and
- 3:01Speaker 4: tweak it or or growing confidence or you know.
- 3:05Speaker 3: It really is sort of like a weird, uh social experiment.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:09Speaker 5: I never like the way I sound, Like the sound
- 3:11Speaker 5: of my voice, Like if I'm somewhere, If I'm somewhere
- 3:14Speaker 5: and I hear myself on TV, I'm like, is that me?
- 3:17Speaker 4: Talk?
- 3:17Speaker 2: Me? Like?
- 3:17Speaker 5: What in the world?
- 3:18Speaker 3: I couldn't believe how much I use my hands.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Oh, I a hand user.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I know now you're doing that much better now, But
- 3:25Speaker 3: in the beginning, I mean I talk more with my
- 3:27Speaker 3: I can't talk without my hands.
- 3:28Speaker 1: It's not funny because you know, doing so many eas
- 3:30Speaker 1: and writinggo you get used to your own voice.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but I didn't really think of that.
- 3:34Speaker 1: You would have watched yourself heard yourself for the first time. Like,
- 3:37Speaker 1: do you both watch old episodes.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Or just no?
- 3:40Speaker 5: Yes, I actually just started watching the super old ones,
- 3:43Speaker 5: like the Need to Life there old ones, but they
- 3:47Speaker 5: have to be like three or four years ago. I
- 3:49Speaker 5: don't watch them like right away. I watched we get
- 3:51Speaker 5: screeners for the episode, so I watch it like one
- 3:54Speaker 5: time to see like I was like, well, I just
- 3:56Speaker 5: watched my parts mostly see like what I said and
- 3:59Speaker 5: what I did, And after that I pack it away
- 4:02Speaker 5: for like two or three years and then I watch it.
- 4:04Speaker 5: But I really love I started Real Housewives of Atlanta
- 4:06Speaker 5: season three. I love going all the way back to
- 4:08Speaker 5: season three because that's scary to go back and look
- 4:10Speaker 5: that far. I'm like, what in the world was I wearing?
- 4:17Speaker 2: Well, you guys are both kind of housewives royalty if
- 4:21Speaker 2: you had your time again, would you say yes to
- 4:23Speaker 2: going on the show?
- 4:24Speaker 5: Oh?
- 4:24Speaker 3: Absolutely, Yeah, you've loved Csia. Cynthia is still on.
- 4:28Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm actually a friend on Atlanta, a friend of
- 4:31Speaker 5: the inventor of the friend contract. So yeah, I kind
- 4:35Speaker 5: of manifested that whole thing. Yeah, I was like, let
- 4:38Speaker 5: me make sure I have this in the world in
- 4:40Speaker 5: case I need to go back, as you know, in
- 4:42Speaker 5: a different capacity. But I love it here.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Basically being able to just live your life and getting
- 4:48Speaker 2: essentially paid for being a reality.
- 4:52Speaker 3: It can't be stressful.
- 4:53Speaker 4: There's a lot of self exploration you're doing, you know,
- 4:56Speaker 4: a lot of difference.
- 4:57Speaker 1: It was like therapy.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Yeah, well I therapy.
- 5:00Speaker 4: I always said that, you know, because I wouldn't on
- 5:04Speaker 4: right after my husband passed, and I think I worked
- 5:07Speaker 4: out a lot of my grief on the show and
- 5:10Speaker 4: being able to talk about it, and then it kind
- 5:13Speaker 4: of became a teaching tool for other people.
- 5:15Speaker 3: I would agree with that.
- 5:17Speaker 5: I think that when we're going through you know, we
- 5:20Speaker 5: show like our real lives. The ups announce the dark,
- 5:23Speaker 5: the lows and all the things, and I feel like
- 5:25Speaker 5: when you're going through real stuff, the show is a
- 5:28Speaker 5: really great distraction to kind of just because you've still
- 5:31Speaker 5: got to get up and get it together, Robi have conversation.
- 5:36Speaker 5: Whereas if you're not on a platform like this, if
- 5:38Speaker 5: you're not on TV, you can just kind of sit
- 5:40Speaker 5: in it where we're not really allowed to sit in our.
- 5:42Speaker 2: And not like that.
- 5:43Speaker 3: You realize very quickly that you're not the only one.
- 5:47Speaker 4: So people are like, oh my god, I'm so happy
- 5:49Speaker 4: you spoke about that, because I too blah blah blah
- 5:51Speaker 4: blah through it, and it just opens up a conversation
- 5:54Speaker 4: that maybe some people feel isolated or uncomfortable.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I will say, I've got a girlfriend of mine, Derinda,
- 6:01Speaker 2: who is obsessed with you so much so she actually
- 6:04Speaker 2: named her business after a line that.
- 6:08Speaker 5: You say, make it nice, Made it nice, Made it nice.
- 6:12Speaker 3: So she makes these incredible change.
- 6:15Speaker 2: World and her entire business online everything is called Made
- 6:19Speaker 2: It Nice Creations.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Here in Sydney. She's here in Sydney, Paris, send a
- 6:24Speaker 3: cake over.
- 6:25Speaker 5: I shouldn't run Saturday. We're going to you know, the
- 6:28Speaker 5: beginning ding is on Saturday. Yeah, take a.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Picture with it. You know I'm on a radio show
- 6:34Speaker 3: for it.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Yeah you do radio?
- 6:36Speaker 2: We don't.
- 6:37Speaker 3: And what kind of show is it.
- 6:39Speaker 4: It's called Reality Checked with my partner Kim or Nick,
- 6:42Speaker 4: and it's on radio and serious exam and I have
- 6:45Speaker 4: to I love radio.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Well.
- 6:47Speaker 1: We are glad that you hear in the country and
- 6:50Speaker 1: we look forward to your big events on the weekend.
