- 0:10Speaker 1: Kiddy Fern simon your favorite Ethiopian suit so low. Yeah,
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna say do it with that smile. Directly, I
- 0:18Speaker 1: was like, don't mind the list, it's not really I
- 0:20Speaker 1: didn't really hear him this. I didn't hear I can
- 0:22Speaker 1: feel it. Maybe maybe it doesn't sound like it, but
- 0:25Speaker 1: I can definitely feel it and say something with an S.
- 0:28Speaker 1: There's like a weird like bubble, like a Smit bubble.
- 0:33Speaker 1: So I just been is it like? Is it? Is it? Well?
- 0:36Speaker 1: This is week too? Um, this this particular set of
- 0:40Speaker 1: trades hurt like hell, you got a headache and this
- 0:42Speaker 1: is your how many number of trays is three? Or
- 0:44Speaker 1: this is my second second train? So you know they
- 0:47Speaker 1: say it'll be many steps first to three days. Ten
- 0:50Speaker 1: that's ten trays you'll get. Well, some of the trades
- 0:53Speaker 1: are just for a week, some could be for two weeks.
- 0:55Speaker 1: So you sound good because I was listening, I had
- 0:57Speaker 1: a lisp. Well last week it's real bad. I I
- 1:00Speaker 1: think I probably just got a little used to it
- 1:02Speaker 1: by now. And you have to talk for a living,
- 1:03Speaker 1: so you gotta figure it. Yeah, because if you don't
- 1:07Speaker 1: keep a man for the amount of time. It's just
- 1:08Speaker 1: two well twenty to twenty two, but they want you
- 1:11Speaker 1: to wear him for twenty two hours, so they already
- 1:14Speaker 1: been awful for Are you feeling a difference. I am
- 1:18Speaker 1: feeling the pain and pressure in my mouth and my head,
- 1:20Speaker 1: and my temple's hurt, and and I'm hungry and one
- 1:24Speaker 1: tooth at a time. Sometimes time it feels like they're
- 1:26Speaker 1: all moving. Okay, it feels like, you know, at the
- 1:30Speaker 1: end of this is an amazing smile, you're gonna be
- 1:32Speaker 1: just not that you didn't smile already, but you're just
- 1:35Speaker 1: gonna be gone with I am super excited. It was
- 1:37Speaker 1: a low rough at brunch with these on this past
- 1:40Speaker 1: Sunday because I was scared I was going to accidentally
- 1:43Speaker 1: drool in front of somebody spen on I don't know whatever.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Y'all time. Shout out to the girls with the Cocktails podcast,
- 1:54Speaker 1: Kiki and Medina. They came through the brunch. I heard
- 1:57Speaker 1: somebody in ball Nation hit you said they was coming
- 1:59Speaker 1: from Seattle. It was amazing. Yeah, I got an email
- 2:02Speaker 1: from someone and Seattle. I'm excited for her to come
- 2:04Speaker 1: and experience it. Um did he Emma came through and
- 2:07Speaker 1: did her afro burlesque. Jamison came in and spent some money.
- 2:11Speaker 1: We did a couple of shots shows. It was high energy. Yeah,
- 2:15Speaker 1: it was high energy. Had the strip of post I
- 2:16Speaker 1: saw somebody of my my friend Mark Jackson was there. Yes, yes,
- 2:23Speaker 1: our friend left dance. I'm gonna yep. He enjoyed it too. Yeah,
- 2:28Speaker 1: welcome to Sunday Brunch. What is your favorite meal there?
- 2:30Speaker 1: Because I'm coming to get it this Sunday. I'm going
- 2:32Speaker 1: to be in town. I'm saying that again. I'm not
- 2:35Speaker 1: missing this Sunday. Right? Would you go with me? Would you?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Would you come meet me and go with me? Well,
- 2:39Speaker 1: since you asked, the French houses bomb. But the chicken
- 2:42Speaker 1: and waffles, honest to guy, y'all is the best waffle
- 2:44Speaker 1: I've ever had in my life. Okay, So that's what
- 2:46Speaker 1: we're giving this Sunday. What time? What time is good
- 2:49Speaker 1: to come? Like eat without all the turn up? A
- 2:50Speaker 1: good time to come and eat without the turn up.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I would say, like two, you won't be there. I'm
- 2:56Speaker 1: there from open and clothes every Sunday. You better be dedicated.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I'm there. I do it all reservations trying to get
- 3:03Speaker 1: my chickens. Okay, like Robins said, give them coining doggers. Rory,
- 3:12Speaker 1: how was your weekend? You mine was good? H you
- 3:14Speaker 1: know out hearing these screets doing my thing, sir, stuff
- 3:19Speaker 1: you got. You gotta award your peers honored Champ talking
- 3:25Speaker 1: about my peers honor me one time for the A
- 3:29Speaker 1: till twenty dinner. Um, Brandon, appreciate you, my guy and
- 3:33Speaker 1: the whole crew. I know he was him and his partner.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Appreciate everybody. Carmen, thank you for influencer award um in
- 3:42Speaker 1: my particular field. That's right, So that was cool. Shout
- 3:45Speaker 1: out to the other winners and people that got recognized too.
- 3:48Speaker 1: That was super dope. That's awesome. Baby is doing man,
- 3:51Speaker 1: The babies are good. Man. Potty training is kicking my ass.
- 3:54Speaker 1: But she'll poop in the potty one day and then
- 3:58Speaker 1: the pooping her panties the next day because we think
- 4:02Speaker 1: she ready. And yeah, outside of that, es actually looks
- 4:05Speaker 1: she don't want to be messing soon enough. Trust ladies
- 4:10Speaker 1: and gentlemen. I went to Indianapolis this weekend. Yeah, I
- 4:14Speaker 1: haven't been to Indie. I don't think they have a
- 4:17Speaker 1: really nice downtown Indianapolis. Really, I mean it's cool. And
- 4:20Speaker 1: they had this thing called Party Graw P A R
- 4:24Speaker 1: D I graw like Marty Grab Party Grow And it
- 4:28Speaker 1: was like two thousand plus people in this joint I'm
- 4:30Speaker 1: talking about when I say party. I was just so impressed.
- 4:34Speaker 1: And they had a whole give back component. Big shout
- 4:36Speaker 1: to Jeff and we liked the party A party p
- 4:39Speaker 1: A r D s I think the Instagram, but they
- 4:41Speaker 1: were giving out money to you know, local influence the
- 4:44Speaker 1: companies and doing their thing. It was a whole cultural thing.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I really had a really really good time Indianapolis. Oh
- 4:49Speaker 1: and I spoke in Virginia Union y'all, so that I
- 4:52Speaker 1: sent you all the clip. I had this this o G. Yeah.
- 4:57Speaker 1: The o G was like, you know, I speak all
- 4:59Speaker 1: the time. I mean I know that, you know, the
- 5:01Speaker 1: connection is there with the people that you know come
- 5:04Speaker 1: to see me. But this guy was like five cameras
- 5:06Speaker 1: over here. They were like really taping this stand, Like
- 5:08Speaker 1: who are the cameras? Like it's the new anyway. So
- 5:11Speaker 1: it's this older gentleman behind the camera and he was
- 5:14Speaker 1: literally like fidgety, like making me nervous, fidgety, right, and
- 5:18Speaker 1: I'm like, why does he keep pacing around? So we
- 5:20Speaker 1: got the Q and a portion and he like tried
- 5:21Speaker 1: to jump and they had this whole thing schedule with
- 5:23Speaker 1: people in the audience with the mic. They were he
- 5:25Speaker 1: just came like, you want to ask you a question?
- 5:27Speaker 1: And they were like wait wait, can you you know,
- 5:29Speaker 1: wait till other people answer their question or ask their questions.
- 5:31Speaker 1: So when they finally got back to the O G
- 5:34Speaker 1: as a question, please, I got them know I need
- 5:37Speaker 1: to know. So he was like, um, you know, we
- 5:39Speaker 1: had the Richmond thirty fourth thing today and I just
- 5:41Speaker 1: don't understand basically why so many people in here listening
- 5:44Speaker 1: to you and they weren't at the Richmond thirty fourth thing.
- 5:46Speaker 1: The mind you Richmond thirty four were activists that went
- 5:49Speaker 1: to Virginia Union and they sat in at the War
- 5:52Speaker 1: Wars downtown and they had like this whole sitting thing.
- 5:54Speaker 1: One was peaceful, the other time they got arrested. But
- 5:57Speaker 1: he was so like charged. I'm like, well, and the
- 6:00Speaker 1: energy he was given, I just I felt like, you know,
- 6:03Speaker 1: cutting them up really quick. Oh he was, he he was,
- 6:09Speaker 1: but you know I did I can't like I was
- 6:12Speaker 1: I was. I felt compassionate. I have felt I have
- 6:15Speaker 1: felt like this is the time I can bridge the gap.
- 6:18Speaker 1: And this is what I said, Well, the one thing
- 6:21Speaker 1: your generation has to do is honor this history. And
- 6:25Speaker 1: I think living in that mindset keeps us startling. But
- 6:30Speaker 1: that is something we honor and we respect and we
- 6:33Speaker 1: will never forget. But it's something we have to grow from.
- 6:37Speaker 1: You know, I was serving this conversation with the brothers
- 6:40Speaker 1: this morning, and since it's this morning, you know, I
- 6:43Speaker 1: feel racism now more than I felt as a child.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And I think it's because hip hop saved so many
- 6:50Speaker 1: of us, and to not honor that like you honor
- 6:54Speaker 1: the civil rights leaders, is injustice to this generation. And
- 6:57Speaker 1: if you can't speak to them in the way that
- 6:59Speaker 1: they can receive, there's no growth for our culture. We're
- 7:03Speaker 1: gonna honor our culture, this historical black houge. Then that
- 7:05Speaker 1: they're here because of your generation is offering. In in
- 7:08Speaker 1: the thirty four is offering, but we have to be
- 7:11Speaker 1: conscious of what's going to connect. I spoken to class today,
- 7:15Speaker 1: Um the professor, I said the exact same thing. I
- 7:18Speaker 1: just said it in a more relatable way. And there's
- 7:20Speaker 1: no disrespect to structural teaching and you know, textbook teaching.
- 7:24Speaker 1: But the Kenny Burns way happened to connect in a
- 7:28Speaker 1: different form. So I appreciate that. But we don't have
- 7:31Speaker 1: to doell on that anymore. We have to honor it.
- 7:33Speaker 1: We also have to speak to them in a way
- 7:35Speaker 1: that they can grow well. Y'all have to want to do.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Y'all tend to live in a time period instead of
- 7:42Speaker 1: living in today's society. Mentally, I'm just gonna keep it
- 7:46Speaker 1: a buck. So but anyway, I felt I felt like
- 7:51Speaker 1: o g needed a hug. I felt like he needs
- 7:53Speaker 1: to understand why it's hard for them, how it was
- 7:56Speaker 1: hard for them to connect with us because that generation
- 7:59Speaker 1: put all their years on us. That generation spoke all
- 8:02Speaker 1: of the tribal and tri relation they went through on
- 8:06Speaker 1: us like they spoke it like it was not like
- 8:08Speaker 1: this happened to us, And we're gonna move forward and
- 8:10Speaker 1: you're gonna be a bigger, better, you know, offering of
- 8:13Speaker 1: our generation. That's what we're doing, Like my generation is
- 8:15Speaker 1: I'm touching every soul I could touch, giving them the information,
- 8:21Speaker 1: making sure they are equipped to go forward. That generation didn't.
- 8:24Speaker 1: So it was it was a good I think it
- 8:26Speaker 1: was a good moment and it resonated because it went
- 8:28Speaker 1: viral um and people were posting it. Yeah. But anyway,
- 8:30Speaker 1: so big shout out of the Virginia Union University. I
- 8:33Speaker 1: will be back and I'm on this college tour now,
- 8:36Speaker 1: guys called what matters most and what matters most to
- 8:39Speaker 1: me now in my forty year of life. It's just
- 8:44Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, like sharing all the information.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I want you to have the information ball the nation. Anyway,
- 8:50Speaker 1: now it's time for in case you missed, ladies and gentlemen,
- 8:58Speaker 1: arrest in peace to the goat Obe and Gianna Brian
- 9:01Speaker 1: all the pastors lost yesterday they had a ceremony at
- 9:05Speaker 1: Staples Center and Claude had merchant When I say, Vanessa
- 9:09Speaker 1: Brian might be the strongest human man I'm talking about.
- 9:13Speaker 1: But you know what, I'm glad that they waited like
- 9:15Speaker 1: at least a month out because I think earlier she
- 9:18Speaker 1: couldn't have done that. I had to process. I was
- 9:20Speaker 1: crying the whole time. Oh my god. I mean there
- 9:24Speaker 1: was literally not one dry eye in the room. Everyone
- 9:28Speaker 1: was emotional at one point because they failed her. She
- 9:32Speaker 1: said she never be able to walk her down the
- 9:34Speaker 1: aisle and try to drive a car. Just little things,
- 9:37Speaker 1: like little things when you talk on the way home.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Things people take for granted the moment every day. And
- 9:42Speaker 1: she said this is what this one made me tear
- 9:43Speaker 1: it when she said that guy had to take them both.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Basically they wouldn't have been okay with I should other hill.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I mean like when I when I say rint gut
- 9:51Speaker 1: rink the cry right now. But on the light of no.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Michael Jordan's was very emotional. Yeah, he was very emotionally.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Din't tear me up because I kept thinking about the
- 10:01Speaker 1: mean when I looked in his face and when he
- 10:03Speaker 1: said that they're gonna have another phone year, some me crying.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I died. But if you look at it, though, his
- 10:09Speaker 1: tears like fall the same way every time. I was like, guys,
- 10:15Speaker 1: like he doesn't wipe his face. Yeh's crying. It's just
- 10:18Speaker 1: like he just let it all fall. Let it go
- 10:21Speaker 1: his face, let it go. But Shack was funny too.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Shock said, he said, we came out to Hoddle. It's like, Yo,
- 10:30Speaker 1: Kobe not passing the ball, so sad, I'm gonna talk
- 10:32Speaker 1: to him. You go to Kobe, says Kobe. You know
- 10:33Speaker 1: there's no Iron team he said, what is that? That
- 10:40Speaker 1: was perfect to them and tells them to just catch
- 10:43Speaker 1: him on a rebound because he's not passing the ball exactly.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Gave light to his personality. And you know, and I
- 10:49Speaker 1: think that that that's what that's what was needed because
- 10:52Speaker 1: I think with all the people their morning, you know,
- 10:55Speaker 1: it was just a thing where it was like, we
- 10:56Speaker 1: need some light heartedness because I swear to you every
- 11:00Speaker 1: like swipe up every I'm seeing too, I'm seeing g
- 11:05Speaker 1: I'm seeing him and it's getting depressed, and like, I
- 11:07Speaker 1: just I want to know. I wanted to laugh, and
- 11:09Speaker 1: I'm glad it gave us those humorous moments. But you know,
- 11:12Speaker 1: one last thing I enjoyed. I didn't judge Yance, but
- 11:14Speaker 1: I really enjoyed Alicia Keys. I didn't performers played debethoven
- 11:20Speaker 1: um piece that he learned. He learned it for Vanessa
- 11:25Speaker 1: and he taught it to himself by ear and he
- 11:28Speaker 1: played it for her and Alicia Keys would be able
- 11:30Speaker 1: to play it back the last time. That's really awesome. Well,
- 11:33Speaker 1: you you mentioned Beyonce, and I actually read a story
- 11:36Speaker 1: on the way in here today that people are calling
- 11:39Speaker 1: her a diva because she would not allow photographers to
- 11:43Speaker 1: snap any photos of her during her performance, and they
- 11:46Speaker 1: were like, you know, the other celebrities or performers didn't
- 11:48Speaker 1: request that she's such a diva. I actually think the opposite.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I think she didn't want them to exploit her images
- 11:54Speaker 1: and make the headlines about her more so than it
- 11:57Speaker 1: was about their memorial service. Exactly going away strictly for
- 12:02Speaker 1: Vanessa and the family her throughout the whole entire process
- 12:09Speaker 1: of the memorial and it was she was just there
- 12:11Speaker 1: for her friends. I think that yea, like whenever she performed,
- 12:16Speaker 1: she's going to automatically like command respect, right. I think
- 12:20Speaker 1: she just felt like like she taking about me, and
- 12:23Speaker 1: she know who she is, so she was like, you
- 12:24Speaker 1: know what, y'all, y'all just keep And by the way
- 12:27Speaker 1: it's being stream live on you know, every time they
- 12:31Speaker 1: put the camera on her too, she would like put
- 12:33Speaker 1: her head down or you know, she'll be holding Vanessa.
- 12:36Speaker 1: You know, you could just tell she was just there
- 12:38Speaker 1: strictly for her friends alone. I loved how the NBA
- 12:43Speaker 1: legends the current player I just everybody and and and
- 12:47Speaker 1: if I would say Michael Jordan said it right, a
- 12:49Speaker 1: piece of all of us died like I mean, if
- 12:51Speaker 1: you had any you know, my kids like I love
- 12:54Speaker 1: Michael Jordan, my kids love Kobe. You know what I'm saying.
- 12:56Speaker 1: So it's definitely a sad time. But rest in peace
- 13:00Speaker 1: Kobe and Gianna Briant. We love you, we miss you. Um.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Also rest in peace to Katherine Johnson y'all, one of
- 13:06Speaker 1: the NASA mathematicians to pick it and hit and figure
- 13:09Speaker 1: that's character exactly. And also b Smith, a famous chef,
- 13:13Speaker 1: and Archbready. The older we get, man, it's just like,
- 13:16Speaker 1: I mean, every week, every week, it's just like tim
- 13:20Speaker 1: is flying so fast and stuff is happening left and right.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Were just like trying to keep up with the time,
- 13:26Speaker 1: man like or slow time down. But it's like moving
- 13:30Speaker 1: at the whirlwind. I've never felt like I was surrounded
- 13:33Speaker 1: by death this much. I mean culturally, they don't take
- 13:37Speaker 1: us to the funerals that we're not allowed to go
- 13:39Speaker 1: as children, so I didn't really understand, you know, I
- 13:41Speaker 1: didn't have that full grasp of it. The older you get,
- 13:44Speaker 1: I'm just like, wow, this really happens every day? Yes,
- 13:46Speaker 1: every day, yes man. And rest in peace to Harvey Weinstein. No,
- 13:51Speaker 1: he is not dead, but he will rest in jail. Well, bars, Bars, Well,
- 13:58Speaker 1: let's come on, man, let's see what happens. Because one
- 14:01Speaker 1: of the charges he can face only like up to
- 14:03Speaker 1: five years, and the other one I think it's up
- 14:06Speaker 1: to five. So let'st's see how much you see him
- 14:11Speaker 1: on the walker. He tried to do cripple and all
- 14:15Speaker 1: that stuff. Look at him now. Didn't work, But let
- 14:18Speaker 1: me know, he looked like he is the cheerier rating.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I think that was I think that was the purpose.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Try to look off real and old and stuff, so
- 14:25Speaker 1: like have pity on the old man. I'll get your
- 14:28Speaker 1: ass in jail him. Absolutely. Yeah, shut up, win Stein
- 14:37Speaker 1: Stein whatever, the old dusty nasty wine wine. Take your
- 14:42Speaker 1: answer to Cell Block sevent ladies and gemmen, rest in
- 14:51Speaker 1: peace to the Atlanta club scene. Uh. You know, I've
- 14:54Speaker 1: been seeing I mean the O G. Frankski. I saw
- 14:57Speaker 1: Stuart Rock and DJ actual least something the other day,
- 15:01Speaker 1: and I want to have this conversation with um, you
- 15:04Speaker 1: know frank Ski a couple of weeks. But I mean,
- 15:06Speaker 1: and you know, people have been saying this. I mean
- 15:08Speaker 1: there's been you know, little things said here and there
- 15:11Speaker 1: about the Atlanta club coach of the DJs. The host
- 15:14Speaker 1: of promoters. Um, but Frankski notably said recently, like you know,
- 15:19Speaker 1: he's he's coming at all DJ. He like the art
- 15:21Speaker 1: of DJ and has gone. He just you know, in
- 15:23Speaker 1: respect to frank Ski, he had one of the most
- 15:25Speaker 1: popular nights ever in Atlanta with northern exposure. Um yeah
- 15:29Speaker 1: he actually yeah due to the brown he wasn't leaveing
- 15:32Speaker 1: the A t l M back then. But um, but
- 15:35Speaker 1: he had a point, right, So then you yesterday I
- 15:37Speaker 1: saw um Stuet Rock um picture of Stuet Rock and
- 15:40Speaker 1: DJ Cash and some other gentlemen were having a discussion,
- 15:44Speaker 1: you know, about the Atlanta and how you know, and
- 15:46Speaker 1: so they were talking about and this. Never mind you
- 15:49Speaker 1: a lot of people say, we've often talked, you know,
- 15:51Speaker 1: on air and off air about what's not happening in
- 15:54Speaker 1: the A t l club scene. And I think it
- 15:56Speaker 1: was just a shift, right my personal opinions, there's a
- 15:59Speaker 1: shift culture. Like it's like, you know, at a certain
- 16:02Speaker 1: point you outgrow you know what I'm saying, that box
- 16:05Speaker 1: And I call the club a box because you get
- 16:07Speaker 1: really you're put in the box when you're in there,
- 16:09Speaker 1: like for forever. It's taking me to get the stigma
- 16:13Speaker 1: of the party guy off of me as I've transcended
- 16:16Speaker 1: into corporate partnerships and actually hosting television shows and being
- 16:22Speaker 1: a real host outside of the party host. And I
- 16:25Speaker 1: wanted to further the conversation because it made a lot
- 16:28Speaker 1: of sense with some of the things they're saying, um
- 16:30Speaker 1: promoters promoters. When I started, they had no choice because
- 16:36Speaker 1: it wasn't happening right, so they had to pay. And
- 16:38Speaker 1: as you grew, your money grew. But then people like
- 16:41Speaker 1: myself who started like influencer programs, thing that you added
- 16:45Speaker 1: on to your piece of the pie, and then it
- 16:49Speaker 1: demanded a certain level of pay right, And things I
- 16:52Speaker 1: hear from you when you first started, things I heard
- 16:54Speaker 1: from you when you first started, and the things I
- 16:56Speaker 1: listen to them say yesterday is so true because now
- 16:58Speaker 1: you could pay somebody to the three hundred dollars they're
- 17:01Speaker 1: gonna take that, you know what I'm saying. But it's
- 17:03Speaker 1: fucking the game up because these people aren't as qualified
- 17:08Speaker 1: to keep the energy right because first and foremost, if
- 17:11Speaker 1: you make it two three hundred dollars, you're sick. You
- 17:14Speaker 1: can you could just buy Jordan's like you can't. Literally,
- 17:16Speaker 1: And I think they quote I'm quoting I think Stewey Rocks, Yes,
- 17:20Speaker 1: but like, but at the same time, you gotta start somewhere.
- 17:24Speaker 1: But what what the what the promoters are doing. They're
- 17:27Speaker 1: doubling down on it, you know what I'm saying, because
- 17:29Speaker 1: they figured, like, I could pay this little money still
- 17:31Speaker 1: get the shot Out'll still get the mentions and whatever
- 17:33Speaker 1: I need. But what do y'all think about that piece?
- 17:35Speaker 1: And we'll go on to the next that. What do
- 17:37Speaker 1: y'all think about the promoter? I think a big problem
- 17:39Speaker 1: is I think promoters are really selfish, and it's about
- 17:42Speaker 1: what they look like. Um, it's about the perception more
- 17:45Speaker 1: so than it is about actually giving the audience a
- 17:48Speaker 1: genuine experience. So if you're willing to pay somebody a
- 17:53Speaker 1: dirt cheap price to host and and that is actually
- 17:56Speaker 1: going to reflect in the performance, but you're you're happy
- 17:59Speaker 1: with it because and he's still gonna shout your name out,
- 18:02Speaker 1: it's selfish. You're you literally come off as if you
- 18:05Speaker 1: only care about how many times people hear your name
- 18:08Speaker 1: on the mic more so than is he actually getting
- 18:11Speaker 1: the crowd going. I think, Um, for me, when I
- 18:14Speaker 1: first started working at the clubs, I was nineteen working
- 18:17Speaker 1: at the doors, and I remember there were promoters and
- 18:20Speaker 1: there were sub promoters. The sub promoters were like your
- 18:23Speaker 1: street team. They are responsible for getting girls, taking them
- 18:26Speaker 1: to the bar, Like we give you drink tickets. Take
- 18:28Speaker 1: the girls to the bar, make sure they're having a
- 18:29Speaker 1: good time. Go outside, make sure you, you know, solicit
- 18:32Speaker 1: people to come in. Then all of a sudden, I
- 18:35Speaker 1: start seeing the sub promoters inside on the couches drinking
- 18:37Speaker 1: out of bottles. I'm like, what the hell y'all doing,
- 18:40Speaker 1: like promoting or not? Like what you think that you're
- 18:45Speaker 1: bringing twenty people in here? Justifies you coming in here
- 18:48Speaker 1: acting like this, like demanding a table. I gotta have bottles,
- 18:52Speaker 1: I gotta do this. I think they're very selfish and
- 18:56Speaker 1: it shows in their behavior. But most people I didn't
- 19:00Speaker 1: really notice because I was getting my price when I
- 19:02Speaker 1: was hosting, well, when I became a dj um, I
- 19:07Speaker 1: first started opening, and when I was opening, I was
- 19:12Speaker 1: I had a price because I'm over here, like I'm
- 19:13Speaker 1: not taking anything less than three or fifty to open,
- 19:16Speaker 1: because I'm still you know what I'm saying. So I
- 19:19Speaker 1: understood that, and then I was getting it in certain
- 19:21Speaker 1: places and in some places they would not try to
- 19:23Speaker 1: offer it to me, and then I would see that
- 19:25Speaker 1: they would have other DJs to do it for lesson.
- 19:27Speaker 1: And it wasn't until last year summer two thousand nineteen summer, Um,
- 19:33Speaker 1: I did this one spot. You know, I'm saying, they
- 19:35Speaker 1: gave you my fee and I was like, yeah, so
- 19:38Speaker 1: what's up with every Thursday? It was like, nah, I
- 19:40Speaker 1: got somebody that's gonna do it for two fifty the
- 19:42Speaker 1: whole night. And I said what I said, you got it.
- 19:46Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. So now I'm over here
- 19:47Speaker 1: like damn, okay, why is it like this? So I
- 19:50Speaker 1: in my in my mind, I'm over here like there's
- 19:52Speaker 1: no DJ union, there's no party host like entertainment union.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I would love to start like a union where we
- 19:59Speaker 1: could all meet and then we can all set the market,
- 20:03Speaker 1: because that's needed. I like that. But the only problem
- 20:06Speaker 1: is it's gonna be it's always somebody that needs quick,
- 20:09Speaker 1: fast money that's going to do it for cheaper. So
- 20:11Speaker 1: I don't know how effective it could be. But if
- 20:14Speaker 1: everybody went up a hundred and fifty dollars on their price,
- 20:17Speaker 1: we can start hitting in that direction. You know, I
- 20:19Speaker 1: think you know what I think fucked up the market Hookah. No,
- 20:24Speaker 1: I mean there's a lot of variables, right the wires man,
- 20:27Speaker 1: But the sus point, I think the sub promoters fucked
- 20:29Speaker 1: the game up because let me tell you what happened.
- 20:32Speaker 1: No dance floor either though. No, But let me tell you,
- 20:34Speaker 1: like what Sue said was was very very important for
- 20:37Speaker 1: you to hear. When you're a sub promote, when you're
- 20:40Speaker 1: sub anything, you're at a certain level where you have
- 20:43Speaker 1: to prove a point, right, And I think that what
- 20:47Speaker 1: has happened because of table service, bottle service, because of
- 20:52Speaker 1: you know, the enormous size of the venues. At one point,
- 20:55Speaker 1: certain things had to be done to fill the room.
- 20:58Speaker 1: And now what you're seeing is because the mega clubs
- 21:02Speaker 1: aren't as popping and more boutique situations are popping. That's
- 21:06Speaker 1: because the person you taught went and did something on
- 21:09Speaker 1: their own and are doing it without you. Right now,
- 21:12Speaker 1: let me tell you what this messages up the market. One,
- 21:14Speaker 1: because you're spreading everybody so thin that you can't really
- 21:19Speaker 1: you know, have a consistent crowd, you know what I mean.
- 21:22Speaker 1: The only venue in Atlanta that is a novelty and
- 21:24Speaker 1: people come to Atlanta and know about is the compound,
- 21:27Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, the world famous compound, which
- 21:29Speaker 1: I named it. But at the at the same time,
- 21:32Speaker 1: I think, like, you know, when you look at like
- 21:35Speaker 1: what it used to be, it was because everybody congregated together,
- 21:39Speaker 1: and if we were congregating, you know, compound on this night,
- 21:42Speaker 1: if we were congregating and go on this night, we
- 21:46Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So I think that that
- 21:47Speaker 1: was kind of the thing. Now, the thing you all
- 21:49Speaker 1: were saying about, and I want to get to the
- 21:50Speaker 1: host portion is because obviously before me there were no hosts, right,
- 21:54Speaker 1: there were no hosting like this, right, But I think
- 21:58Speaker 1: that it became less of about the party and the
- 22:02Speaker 1: people and it came more about individuals and I you know,
- 22:06Speaker 1: and the one thing I pride myself and I try
- 22:08Speaker 1: to teach all of the hosts that I mentor have
- 22:11Speaker 1: had a conversation. I can said, if I had a
- 22:13Speaker 1: conversation with you in a lengthy capacity and gave you
- 22:16Speaker 1: some game, I feel like you should have took it,
- 22:19Speaker 1: made you know, use what you needed, and made your bones.
- 22:21Speaker 1: But I feel like a lot of people are so
- 22:24Speaker 1: self centered and can't get out their own way that
- 22:27Speaker 1: that becomes the focus, not the party. You know what
- 22:30Speaker 1: I'm saying. And it's like, you know, there's things you
- 22:33Speaker 1: can do for inflection, there's things you say and things
- 22:35Speaker 1: you highlight for capturing moments, and I just feel like
- 22:38Speaker 1: that's that's lost. It's like the bottle culture um, you know,
- 22:43Speaker 1: in the hookah culture causes you to stand still. Then
- 22:46Speaker 1: you have this voice and DJ because we cannot not
- 22:50Speaker 1: blame DJs on a certain level because you get stuck
- 22:53Speaker 1: into these dope boys want to hear this and they
- 22:55Speaker 1: got to hear this record. If you don't play, tell
- 22:58Speaker 1: y'all students, right, y'all, students of the game. Y'all grew
- 23:02Speaker 1: up in it. Y'all have become who y'all are by
- 23:03Speaker 1: being stupid. Where have you ever seen it successful? Anything
- 23:07Speaker 1: happened when it's all about you gotta do this. If
- 23:10Speaker 1: you don't do it right now, it's gonna fair. Like
- 23:12Speaker 1: I don't come from that kind of party day. And
- 23:14Speaker 1: I would like to say before suego, I do a
- 23:17Speaker 1: party on Saturday, I do compound, and I leave and
- 23:19Speaker 1: go to Tiger, Tiger and Marietta. There's a big gas
- 23:23Speaker 1: dance floor, minimal sections. Nobody comes to the DJ booth
- 23:27Speaker 1: to bother me, Nobody requests me to play any records.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Everyone comes in there to have a great times. Me
- 23:34Speaker 1: also know where the issue is. The issue isn't sometimes
- 23:40Speaker 1: it's also that celebrity, a whole bunch of hookahs, a
- 23:44Speaker 1: whole no dance floor. I'm telling y'all because I'm actually leging.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I leave one party where everyone's a fish bowl and
- 23:50Speaker 1: just staring at you, and I go to another party
- 23:54Speaker 1: where I can play a fucking uh, I can play
- 23:58Speaker 1: suave Mende and everybody's in the mom because they're coming
- 24:02Speaker 1: to the party with no intention of a celebrity my bad.
- 24:05Speaker 1: They're coming in there just to have a good time. Yeah,
- 24:09Speaker 1: So I think something's funked it up. All those sections
- 24:12Speaker 1: there trying to kick it. So now I'm seeing that,
- 24:18Speaker 1: oh wow, there are other parties and they pay me
- 24:20Speaker 1: my feet period are large amount, and they put me
- 24:23Speaker 1: in the middle of the flyer. They promote that I'm coming.
- 24:27Speaker 1: I can I get there, I get I get ushered
- 24:30Speaker 1: to the DJs right there. I ain't going nowhere. You
- 24:36Speaker 1: have like the luxury brand, and then you have the
- 24:38Speaker 1: store brand, right like something you want to go. There
- 24:40Speaker 1: are different markets for for different things. So when it
- 24:42Speaker 1: comes to the club, a compound person is going to
- 24:45Speaker 1: more than likely be either a table customer or they're
- 24:48Speaker 1: going to be in a table with the they paid
- 24:50Speaker 1: for the table. It's going to be one of those
- 24:54Speaker 1: great breakdown what you're talking about, Like you know, right
- 24:57Speaker 1: outside of the city or these smaller places like like
- 25:00Speaker 1: ty Tig. I haven't been there before, but I can
- 25:02Speaker 1: imagine like that crowd is almost like the anti club club,
- 25:06Speaker 1: but they want to be there to have fun, but
- 25:08Speaker 1: they don't want to feel like they're in a club environment,
- 25:10Speaker 1: which most of the time means bad customer service. Security
- 25:14Speaker 1: is too rough, you can't get to the bar, or
- 25:16Speaker 1: the bartender won't look up to even take your order.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I mean, there's so many things that go into that.
- 25:21Speaker 1: But the market has definitely changed. Like millennials don't care
- 25:24Speaker 1: about buying bottles. Millennials will sit at the bar and
- 25:27Speaker 1: still spend two. But think about millennials, they'll come back
- 25:32Speaker 1: over and over and over again. This table person, you
- 25:34Speaker 1: might see them onst every three months, depending on who
- 25:36Speaker 1: they are, unless unless you're giving them some com bottles
- 25:41Speaker 1: or discounting it. Like you're having to come out of
- 25:43Speaker 1: your pockets kind of come out. She did, right, And
- 25:46Speaker 1: that's why I wanted to have this discussion because I
- 25:48Speaker 1: just feel like there's like you know, and also people
- 25:50Speaker 1: are jumping out there for cloud like everybody, nigga, you
- 25:53Speaker 1: not that DJ, You're not that whole. Some of you
- 25:55Speaker 1: can't even join the conversation, like sit down. You know
- 25:58Speaker 1: what I'm saying. And I also want to say, is
- 26:00Speaker 1: you're the reason the markets sucked up. You know what
- 26:03Speaker 1: I'm saying, y'all running around here acting like y'all more
- 26:05Speaker 1: than y'all are not putting in the work. Y'are using
- 26:07Speaker 1: social media to amplify nothing. And I tell people all
- 26:11Speaker 1: talk you know what I mean, y'all seen come and go.
- 26:13Speaker 1: You know. One bad problem too is you know, people
- 26:19Speaker 1: started a cap on things like the tables and tickets
- 26:22Speaker 1: and all that stuff. When a customer finds out that
- 26:25Speaker 1: you when a customer finds out that you just kept
- 26:29Speaker 1: on them for a few hundred dollars, do you think
- 26:31Speaker 1: they want to come back? They're not coming back. So
- 26:34Speaker 1: now customers on a weekly basis, But that and I
- 26:38Speaker 1: know you will episode no, no, this is but I
- 26:41Speaker 1: know you won't go all the way there because of
- 26:43Speaker 1: the people you're but I can go there. And robbing
- 26:48Speaker 1: Peter to pay Paul has never been the look. It's
- 26:51Speaker 1: never but I folk, you'll always wonder why we're in
- 26:54Speaker 1: a position I insult you this. I don't. I mean
- 26:57Speaker 1: everybody I don't host in Atlanta force specific reason, for
- 27:01Speaker 1: a specific reason. I cost too much. You know what
- 27:06Speaker 1: I'm saying. I'm not gonna be I would never be
- 27:08Speaker 1: in the club four nights a week like I was
- 27:09Speaker 1: seven years ago. You know what I'm saying. But even
- 27:12Speaker 1: seven years ago, I was making fift dollars a night
- 27:15Speaker 1: for like and this is like, yeah, four times a week,
- 27:19Speaker 1: like you understanding? And I had to look at up.
- 27:21Speaker 1: So it's like when people get into the conversation like
- 27:23Speaker 1: you can't talk to me about that. I can. You
- 27:24Speaker 1: can talk to me if you want to, like pure
- 27:26Speaker 1: advice or you want some information, but don't come talking
- 27:30Speaker 1: to me, including yourself in my level of convertence, like
- 27:33Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, like what I've contributed, And
- 27:35Speaker 1: that's and that's what I think is missing to like Alex,
- 27:39Speaker 1: who taught all these promoters out here the game right,
- 27:42Speaker 1: anybody who has a club right now or is involved
- 27:47Speaker 1: on a high level has learned from him. You know
- 27:50Speaker 1: what I'm saying. No, but every one of them, And
- 27:55Speaker 1: all I'm saying is is like I wish the AWL
- 27:58Speaker 1: could have had control, but see, there's certain level of
- 28:00Speaker 1: personality that needs to come with that, so you can't
- 28:04Speaker 1: keep control. So I and I and I and I
- 28:06Speaker 1: want to say this too. Everybody keeps talking about there's
- 28:08Speaker 1: no no place to do it, or just said one
- 28:12Speaker 1: I created Cassette. You can't tell me that, right, but
- 28:15Speaker 1: I'm saying or in others, you with your brunts, other
- 28:18Speaker 1: people have created things that you keep up. So what
- 28:23Speaker 1: I want exactly, but what I want to stop is
- 28:26Speaker 1: and I wanted to start it off with me because
- 28:27Speaker 1: it was it was cash for the whole episode today's
- 28:29Speaker 1: episode with IP, So I said, you know, RP to
- 28:33Speaker 1: the club scene because yeah, the way we know it
- 28:36Speaker 1: is dead, like Sue said, you know what I'm saying,
- 28:39Speaker 1: And it's fine because I'm an old head. There's nowhere,
- 28:42Speaker 1: there's nowhere around it. Same time though, it's just time
- 28:45Speaker 1: for new blood. They do things differently, but it's not
- 28:49Speaker 1: It doesn't mean that they can't do it the right way,
- 28:51Speaker 1: it doesn't mean they don't want to do it the
- 28:52Speaker 1: right I'm sure there are pockets. You know, we had
- 28:55Speaker 1: that big discussion at the Hot Museum and then they
- 28:57Speaker 1: had a whole another separate thing instead of coming to
- 28:59Speaker 1: the High Museum. Why wouldn't y'all have come if you
- 29:02Speaker 1: felt like you weren't invited, you felt like you were
- 29:05Speaker 1: left out, come have the conversation, you know what I'm saying.
- 29:08Speaker 1: So I just think that we as a city of
- 29:11Speaker 1: real creatives, real passion, the creators, real you know what
- 29:14Speaker 1: I'm saying, like influencers of the world. This is this
- 29:17Speaker 1: is Atlanta influences the world. There's no pun intend to
- 29:20Speaker 1: shout out to the person who owns that, but like
- 29:22Speaker 1: that's no pun intended. So get with the gatekeepers because
- 29:25Speaker 1: you gotta understand there are gatekeepers. And you know what
- 29:28Speaker 1: separates us from y'all is the money. You can't have
- 29:33Speaker 1: nothing without the money. You can have all the creativity
- 29:35Speaker 1: you want, but unless we support you, and we want
- 29:38Speaker 1: to support you and any one of y'all that I've
- 29:40Speaker 1: mentor no that I'm about my word, I'm about putting
- 29:43Speaker 1: my money behind people. But you can't continue to have
- 29:47Speaker 1: conversations like you're really curating something and not being in
- 29:51Speaker 1: like Sue has been in it, or has been in
- 29:52Speaker 1: the Bocy Corey with the case. There's people that have
- 29:56Speaker 1: been in it, learned and have the respectable way to
- 29:58Speaker 1: do the business in the some type of like Rory said,
- 30:02Speaker 1: some type of need to check some balances. Man, we
- 30:04Speaker 1: need some union to I think what you said is
- 30:06Speaker 1: so fire like creates did everybody? Can you some money?
- 30:11Speaker 1: It's a whole bunch of money out here, but paying everybody.
- 30:15Speaker 1: It's just it's sad that everybody wants to last thing
- 30:18Speaker 1: last say that again, there's enough money for everybody, yet
- 30:24Speaker 1: everyone wants to do the same to get money like that.
- 30:27Speaker 1: But you DJs well, ain't no camera, but he looked
- 30:30Speaker 1: for camera. You should feel a certain type of way
- 30:34Speaker 1: when they do a thousand dollar Halloween contests and you're
- 30:36Speaker 1: only getting three fifty, period, you should feel uncomfortable about that.
- 30:42Speaker 1: But how do they demand it? Let's give them answers
- 30:44Speaker 1: and I have I haven't answered, but how did they Okay, well,
- 30:46Speaker 1: I got a perfect example. But to your point, tell
- 30:48Speaker 1: you what I do. But to your point, though you
- 30:50Speaker 1: said that somebody else is willing to do it. Give
- 30:53Speaker 1: how do you demand and then get your paper. You
- 30:57Speaker 1: know I'm a different breed. I come from Kenny Burns,
- 31:01Speaker 1: Gray Street, big Tigger, all them treat I got a
- 31:04Speaker 1: lot of old g s that keep me on point.
- 31:06Speaker 1: I get our perfect example, and I say they damn,
- 31:08Speaker 1: there's eleven forty five last week, I've seen a whole
- 31:12Speaker 1: bunch of extra bottles being order because I was playing
- 31:14Speaker 1: the right songs. I took my ass to the back
- 31:16Speaker 1: so I know y'all made extra money tonight. I need
- 31:18Speaker 1: two extra tonight. That's right. When you're talking about right,
- 31:22Speaker 1: I said, I need to ft the extra plus my feet. Yeah.
- 31:26Speaker 1: He just looked at me crazy that. I was like, bro,
- 31:29Speaker 1: I'm the one person. Hey, y'all had me in this
- 31:31Speaker 1: bitch thirty minutes extra. I need extra tonight. What they're
- 31:35Speaker 1: gonna tell me? Motherfucker pulling this podcast and gave you
- 31:38Speaker 1: my little extra bread. We'll see that that is that
- 31:40Speaker 1: is important. I'm gonna tell you why that's important because
- 31:43Speaker 1: you are demanding your work. These motherfucker's are scared to
- 31:46Speaker 1: walk away, and I know you not, so he wouldn't
- 31:49Speaker 1: put out there you willing to walk? Yes, okay, y'all
- 31:53Speaker 1: know me. I find all the time they always come
- 31:58Speaker 1: back around. Literally, no subpromoters anymore, Like thank God for growth.
- 32:02Speaker 1: A lot of the guys that I know that came
- 32:03Speaker 1: up as you know, I guess the smaller promoters and
- 32:06Speaker 1: the sub promoters. Um his squad has always been great
- 32:09Speaker 1: with my guys. And you know they've gone, they've moved
- 32:12Speaker 1: on to Oak. But now it's like, who's promoting Oak? Yeah? Right?
- 32:17Speaker 1: But but but they don't need See this is my
- 32:19Speaker 1: problem with sub promoter. And we'll go on because this
- 32:21Speaker 1: is a whole show, is um. But and big shot.
- 32:25Speaker 1: There are people that came up in the system that
- 32:29Speaker 1: are on top of the game. If you will right
- 32:31Speaker 1: the promotions game. You can't have sub promoters anymore. I'm
- 32:36Speaker 1: gonna tell you why. Because they don't have your best
- 32:39Speaker 1: interest in mind. I mean in mind. Sub promoters do
- 32:43Speaker 1: not have your best interest in mind. Their goal is
- 32:45Speaker 1: to get where you're at, cap cap cap in any
- 32:49Speaker 1: time someone wants your position. And in this day and
- 32:52Speaker 1: age now back in the day, you give a mother
- 32:55Speaker 1: like me a shot and I'm gonna make you the million,
- 32:58Speaker 1: and then I'm gonna be ready when it's time for
- 33:01Speaker 1: me to make mine. I'm not trying to come in
- 33:02Speaker 1: and step on your feet off top, and I think
- 33:04Speaker 1: that's what these sub promoters, hosts and DJs do. D
- 33:07Speaker 1: DJ ain't coming and trying to be like everywhere I
- 33:10Speaker 1: go in the country. It's not even the Atlanta problem.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Everywhere I go in the country, everybody trying outdo everybody.
- 33:15Speaker 1: You know, Kenny Burns up next. You can play whatever
- 33:19Speaker 1: records you think you need to play, Nigga, because I
- 33:21Speaker 1: will change the entire room and I will say this
- 33:25Speaker 1: and big shout to the girl I want to shout
- 33:27Speaker 1: out because she's a dope DJ. But before I got
- 33:29Speaker 1: on and DJ band camp was up to jan because
- 33:32Speaker 1: he was rocking with me, she played all the hits. Now,
- 33:36Speaker 1: mind you, this ain't the christiando or the party they
- 33:38Speaker 1: sain't they play, But that's what that's what dn't want
- 33:40Speaker 1: to do. But guess what I did when I came on.
- 33:42Speaker 1: I played slow jams. So my point is like, you
- 33:45Speaker 1: gotta be ready in verse two. You know what I'm saying.
- 33:49Speaker 1: But like real hosts, real DJ's, real promoters, they're not
- 33:53Speaker 1: gonna let nothing sway their movement and we gotta have control.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Back in Atlanta, Rory, I love the point of creating
- 34:00Speaker 1: some type of union because I've been thinking about that
- 34:03Speaker 1: for the past. There has to be law. There has
- 34:04Speaker 1: to be law on all these It has to be
- 34:06Speaker 1: like it has to be some game that people follow
- 34:09Speaker 1: because they're not. It's why I was out here. Anybody
- 34:11Speaker 1: to a party, anybody could be a host, anybody could
- 34:14Speaker 1: be a DJ, because you gotta have that to stay
- 34:18Speaker 1: in my lane. Like I go to people's parties, I support,
- 34:22Speaker 1: I have fun I post where I'm at, like I
- 34:24Speaker 1: don't do any of that funny stuff. I tag you.
- 34:26Speaker 1: But how about this after October, I'm just doing saturdays.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Oh wow, I'm out. But it's time, you know, And
- 34:35Speaker 1: I want to say this last year. You have to grow.
- 34:37Speaker 1: As long as you're in something and you're comfortable, you
- 34:41Speaker 1: will not grow. So I challenge everybody in a t
- 34:44Speaker 1: to get in where they fitling, but I also challenge
- 34:46Speaker 1: you to do it respectfully. Speaking of respect, I think
- 34:49Speaker 1: Fury earned his respect by whooping. While you know, I
- 34:54Speaker 1: do say he whooped him. And while they're trying to
- 34:57Speaker 1: say it's to suit what you have in I don't like.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I don't like. Excuse not everybody's going in on this
- 35:06Speaker 1: look man, and I love I love wild I'm a
- 35:10Speaker 1: big Wilder fan. My thing is, come on, bro, just
- 35:12Speaker 1: take the ale come back. I'm not even matter all that.
- 35:15Speaker 1: I think he threw the fight. But my first thing,
- 35:17Speaker 1: he threw the fight, I don't think he I think
- 35:19Speaker 1: he lost off. No, of course not. I can't want
- 35:21Speaker 1: to sist sis. My thing is he got his ass
- 35:24Speaker 1: beat every round. Honestly, the suit ain't that nothing to
- 35:27Speaker 1: do with his ass? Not even moving out the guy
- 35:29Speaker 1: damn way he was getting wrong. He did an interview
- 35:31Speaker 1: before he said that he doesn't run because he like,
- 35:34Speaker 1: he doesn't do a lot of cards like running because
- 35:36Speaker 1: he doesn't run and he's a boxer. But okay, maybe
- 35:39Speaker 1: it was bleeding out his ear. I need him to imagine, right,
- 35:44Speaker 1: what I heard was that, you know, his ear druma
- 35:47Speaker 1: or something man busted even imagine like any might have
- 35:50Speaker 1: been a concussion after that, like all messed up on
- 35:55Speaker 1: top of having a little skinny legs. Is anybody his body, okay?
- 35:59Speaker 1: Anybody looking out the tire around his waist, Is anybody
- 36:02Speaker 1: looking at the building here? He is a boxer. Wilder
- 36:05Speaker 1: is a hitter, like all he do is hit you.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Because the last fight that they had it was a
- 36:09Speaker 1: draw only because knocked them down two times in the fight.
- 36:14Speaker 1: For the most part he was losing while it was
- 36:16Speaker 1: gonna lose that one too. Really, Yeah, I didn't even
- 36:19Speaker 1: watch either fight. I just saw the clip his blood. Yeah,
- 36:23Speaker 1: tell me where he's rocking his ass. I believe this
- 36:28Speaker 1: is six rounds even round because he said an wanted
- 36:31Speaker 1: to taste blood. So that's a boxer ship right there.
- 36:35Speaker 1: There ain't no boxer tis here. Cannibal Tyson bit off
- 36:43Speaker 1: somebody on the blinking like he's looking at Clincheress. He
- 36:47Speaker 1: licked his neck blood like it was a clincherest, did
- 36:52Speaker 1: he not? Lady and German? Speaking of Clitteress, Steven Spielberg's
- 36:57Speaker 1: daughter is going to the Wars that that's kind of crazy.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Her panty is a big time film executive. Remember when
- 37:08Speaker 1: a fishburn starter with that was short lived? And what
- 37:12Speaker 1: do you think that people just got so much paper
- 37:14Speaker 1: that just go left with this because she said, and
- 37:16Speaker 1: she said in an interview that she can never use
- 37:19Speaker 1: her body the way she wanted to, and this is
- 37:21Speaker 1: something she was tired of not being able to capitalize
- 37:24Speaker 1: off her body. Okay, girl, that last name, her last
- 37:30Speaker 1: name is enough to capitalize. She's like getting tossed up.
- 37:35Speaker 1: She has these films in her mind that she wants
- 37:38Speaker 1: to see. She she wants you all to see her work.
- 37:40Speaker 1: I just I get confused. It wants to be the
- 37:43Speaker 1: Spielberger porn alrights from our sponsors. That's the time for
- 37:54Speaker 1: baller man. Me and my baby daddy both two years old.
- 38:00Speaker 1: We have a two year old son. We have data
- 38:03Speaker 1: since high school. Well, here's the issue. I want more
- 38:06Speaker 1: and he doesn't. He said he doesn't want to commit
- 38:10Speaker 1: right now, and he doesn't want me to date anyone else.
- 38:14Speaker 1: What type of excuses that my dad said? I shouldn't
- 38:18Speaker 1: have high expectations from a twenty two year old young man.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Should I let him go and just work on me?
- 38:24Speaker 1: Or do I fight for our relationship? And they got
- 38:26Speaker 1: a job to have a child two years? Let me
- 38:28Speaker 1: tell you what you do, little cis you put him
- 38:31Speaker 1: on his head. You have control, you have the baby,
- 38:35Speaker 1: and yeah, make them grow up. You know you gotta
- 38:39Speaker 1: hold these young men responsible. You cannot allow them to
- 38:42Speaker 1: just run all over You gotta and trust what I
- 38:44Speaker 1: tell you. Human beings don't like to be put in
- 38:47Speaker 1: the corner or put on time out and put on end.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Know that men do not like that. If you got missing,
- 38:52Speaker 1: if you went from the loved DEVI is super thoughtful
- 38:55Speaker 1: person you are to I don't funk with you. That's bruises,
- 38:58Speaker 1: that's bruises. A go, that's gonna bruise his ego before
- 39:02Speaker 1: you go soon? Wait soon, wait, because I know you
- 39:07Speaker 1: love sooner to go in, I know Soper to go in. Uh,
- 39:11Speaker 1: you're dealing with the immature young man, and he's not
- 39:13Speaker 1: ready to uh be a father. Seems like he's not
- 39:17Speaker 1: ready to be a father, be responsible. He want to
- 39:19Speaker 1: go out here in these streets and do his thing
- 39:21Speaker 1: and put his penis inside other vaginas. Um, he's not
- 39:25Speaker 1: he's not ready to be exclusive to you. And if
- 39:27Speaker 1: he's not ready to be exclusive to you, you should
- 39:29Speaker 1: move on and you should worry about yourself and your child.
- 39:31Speaker 1: As long as he's a great father, don't nag him
- 39:34Speaker 1: about anything else other than just being a great dad.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Block his ass on the ground, block him on all things,
- 39:40Speaker 1: and put your butt on the sink. Take a picture
- 39:42Speaker 1: and post it now put your butt on the sink
- 39:45Speaker 1: and post that ship on the ground block. She said
- 39:49Speaker 1: that she was, you know, concerned about the relationship and
- 39:52Speaker 1: doesn't know if she should let it go. The relationship
- 39:54Speaker 1: that y'all have currently is not the relationship that you're
- 39:57Speaker 1: looking for, so that should be easy to let go of,
- 39:59Speaker 1: say like, he's not your man. She got a whole
- 40:01Speaker 1: child taking her mind and they're having raw sex. That
- 40:05Speaker 1: man has told her that he does not want to
- 40:07Speaker 1: be in a committed, exclusive relationship with her. He wants
- 40:10Speaker 1: her to exist. It's all about control. He's not He
- 40:14Speaker 1: doesn't genuinely care about being in a family oriented relationship
- 40:18Speaker 1: right now. But don't you think their measures to put
- 40:21Speaker 1: in place where he could learn his lesson that this
- 40:23Speaker 1: is who I was? Is there any way to salvage this?
- 40:27Speaker 1: I think he got to go finish playing because he
- 40:29Speaker 1: still want to play, and him go do that while
- 40:33Speaker 1: you continue to grow yourself, you know, allow yourself to date.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Allow women know what they want. Man, you want to
- 40:40Speaker 1: be with She don't. She clearly don't know she wants
- 40:43Speaker 1: to be with him. She wants more, she knows she
- 40:45Speaker 1: wants She thinks she wants to be with him. Okay,
- 40:47Speaker 1: she said it, So you're not in her head and
- 40:49Speaker 1: dates someone who's going to hold doors and really be
- 40:52Speaker 1: there and communicate with her to realize mo ship. But okay,
- 40:56Speaker 1: would you not like to would you not like to
- 40:57Speaker 1: try to instill that in your man? Or would you
- 41:00Speaker 1: just want your baby daddy? Exactly because I had baby daddy.
- 41:04Speaker 1: We do not want to teach you what you said something.
- 41:06Speaker 1: If she wrote us on the Ball Alert Show podcast,
- 41:09Speaker 1: she hadn't already been trying this, Okay. I think if she,
- 41:20Speaker 1: if she knows what she wants, they're measures she can
- 41:24Speaker 1: put in place to get it. That's all I'm saying.
- 41:25Speaker 1: I don't. I don't believe in quinn. I know for
- 41:27Speaker 1: a fact that if there's something I like, I gotta
- 41:31Speaker 1: tell Jessica. I think there's something she likes, she gotta
- 41:34Speaker 1: tell me. If something we won't, she got to tell
- 41:36Speaker 1: me we can't. Just as soon I know this couple.
- 41:39Speaker 1: I know this couple uh in high school that I
- 41:42Speaker 1: wasn't high school. I graduate two to damn. But they
- 41:45Speaker 1: still together. She was ready to like get married and
- 41:49Speaker 1: like Tim Grady when they met, and he was like,
- 41:53Speaker 1: what are you talking about? But now they're married, but
- 41:55Speaker 1: she knew she wanted to marry her before he has
- 42:00Speaker 1: in high school. My sister, my older sister, has been
- 42:04Speaker 1: with my brother in law since high school. That's the
- 42:07Speaker 1: only boyfriend she's ever had. Here's a major key. If
- 42:09Speaker 1: you are affectionately in a relationship, meaning you have sex
- 42:12Speaker 1: with someone, you're attracted, you feel like they want you,
- 42:16Speaker 1: there's a way to put everything you need in place,
- 42:20Speaker 1: and that's lack of attention. If someone is not giving
- 42:24Speaker 1: the equal amount that you you know what I'm saying,
- 42:27Speaker 1: give I promise you try falling back and see how
- 42:31Speaker 1: much of mother can call you. Try. Falling is awesome. No, no,
- 42:35Speaker 1: dick your significant especially when women do it. I'm just saying,
- 42:39Speaker 1: I'm just saying in that ration, I'm not saying stop
- 42:42Speaker 1: having sex. If you know what I'm saying, I'm just saying,
- 42:44Speaker 1: but you gotta prove a point. Sometimes I just feel
- 42:47Speaker 1: like what you know what I'm saying? Okay, baby? And
- 42:52Speaker 1: that a word from our sponsors, creep creeping, and now
- 43:01Speaker 1: it's tigned for comment creeping creep creep. All right. So
- 43:05Speaker 1: Twitter was on fire this weekend. I know everybody was
- 43:08Speaker 1: trying to keep up with the beef between Alexis Guy
- 43:11Speaker 1: and Ari Fletcher. Who is I'm trying to keep up myself. Okay?
- 43:14Speaker 1: So are used to be with herbo? Right? R is
- 43:18Speaker 1: with money bag Yo? They have a baby together her
- 43:23Speaker 1: and g Herbo correct? Cool okay, so okay, okay, cool. Well,
- 43:33Speaker 1: alex this guy and Ari had been going back and
- 43:35Speaker 1: forth on Twitter. It was intense. They started talking about
- 43:39Speaker 1: each other's children and how much money they have, and
- 43:41Speaker 1: how many men they've been with, and all types of
- 43:43Speaker 1: crazy things that women should just not say to each other.
- 43:47Speaker 1: But Alexis said something that might have got somebody else
- 43:50Speaker 1: a little rottled up. She said, you bitches are weird
- 43:54Speaker 1: as fun. I'm in my own lane. I don't hate
- 43:56Speaker 1: no I don't hate on no one. All these trolls
- 43:59Speaker 1: tagging me and ship saying I'm trying to be like
- 44:01Speaker 1: this person. Let me make something clear. I love myself.
- 44:04Speaker 1: I'm beautiful inside and out. I've been real humble. I
- 44:07Speaker 1: paved the way for these bitches. She woke a lot
- 44:11Speaker 1: of people like what she said, a lot of people.
- 44:15Speaker 1: So Miss Melissa Forge, you know she doesn't hit the ground,
- 44:19Speaker 1: y'all know she's like Melissa says, paved the way with
- 44:26Speaker 1: multiple question marks. People need a history lesson. But you
- 44:29Speaker 1: know what, l O, l let me just chill over
- 44:31Speaker 1: here with my greenery in my I don't even know
- 44:33Speaker 1: how to pronounce this in my convalescent home. What does
- 44:36Speaker 1: that mean? A convalescent homes? How you saying they they
- 44:42Speaker 1: must have been clowning on Oh, she said, y'all a
- 44:45Speaker 1: little young homes don't know nothing. Boy, that thing was
- 44:49Speaker 1: all that thing was all day. It was too much.
- 44:52Speaker 1: I could not sit here and refresh over and over
- 44:55Speaker 1: and over. I was like, you know what on ball her.
- 44:58Speaker 1: I barely use Twitter. I know you too on me
- 45:00Speaker 1: all the time. I'm gonna get it together again. I'm
- 45:04Speaker 1: gonna tell you all you can watch pornos on Twitter. Okay,
- 45:07Speaker 1: we know you've been watching them. I mean all my
- 45:10Speaker 1: timeline if I scrolled, so I happen to scroll, I mean,
- 45:12Speaker 1: I'll look at little ten seconds. That's beliefs. Not get
- 45:20Speaker 1: yourself wrapped up in this young drama for her. But
- 45:23Speaker 1: her facial expression when she hit that thing, you don't
- 45:25Speaker 1: tell me about the way she just looks like like
- 45:28Speaker 1: like really like you just like the little girls. That's
- 45:32Speaker 1: how Melissa. Yeah, and I never I never ever ever
- 45:37Speaker 1: saw Melissa going online. And I mean she was popping
- 45:41Speaker 1: before social media clearly. But you know what I'm saying,
- 45:43Speaker 1: I just never seen her and that that's what if
- 45:46Speaker 1: you're gonna be about that life, you know, seriously, And
- 45:49Speaker 1: I'm not saying Melissa fort Is, I'm saying, but if
- 45:51Speaker 1: you're gonna be about that life, how are you putting
- 45:54Speaker 1: it all on social media? But it seems that these
- 45:57Speaker 1: young is just taking it in with it. You know.
- 45:59Speaker 1: I'm just still now getting used to FaceTime and people
- 46:03Speaker 1: because I don't FaceTime nobody but my kids. But I
- 46:06Speaker 1: think a lot of younger people that's all they do.
- 46:11Speaker 1: You speak. If you speak to my Olivier, my six
- 46:14Speaker 1: year old, they don't even call. They FaceTime only. They
- 46:19Speaker 1: don't even talk on the phone, like, hey, how you doing?
- 46:22Speaker 1: You know you could call somebody. Yes, they only FaceTime,
- 46:26Speaker 1: So like this's just ship. That's different. Fan, It's like
- 46:30Speaker 1: I call you, like, yeah, they just put it down,
- 46:35Speaker 1: So what do you face tithing call text just in
- 46:40Speaker 1: case they need you to see me. Now, I'm a
- 46:41Speaker 1: big Texter. I have texted all that. I don't even
- 46:44Speaker 1: like talking. But you know, back to what you were saying.
- 46:47Speaker 1: You know some of these people they gotta event on
- 46:50Speaker 1: social media. Yeah, but do you really pay attention to
- 46:53Speaker 1: what you're doing. You're talking to your phone. How is
- 46:57Speaker 1: that helps people on there? But you you are talking
- 47:00Speaker 1: to your phone. Now, I think some people could. I
- 47:03Speaker 1: think you can't find therapy socially. But the things that
- 47:06Speaker 1: they're doing is not progressive. It's what's therapeutic is them
- 47:10Speaker 1: getting justified or people are like justifying them that's online
- 47:15Speaker 1: that they don't even know. Someone don't even know these people.
- 47:17Speaker 1: I want co sign I need to be I even
- 47:19Speaker 1: posted something the other day. They want to feel better
- 47:21Speaker 1: about their decision. A whole bunch of strangers that don't
- 47:24Speaker 1: know you. And I was like, being authentically you. You
- 47:27Speaker 1: don't gotta see validation like you're you, like you said,
- 47:31Speaker 1: be comfortable in that, like every this app makes these people.
- 47:36Speaker 1: So that's what lets me know. I was like, damn, man,
- 47:39Speaker 1: I just I wish I could have thought about that.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Instagram doesn't provide anything. We provide the content to Instagram.
- 47:47Speaker 1: It's just an app that has nothing in it unless
- 47:50Speaker 1: the users provide that we actually made it the platform
- 47:54Speaker 1: that they created the app for us, but we actually
- 47:56Speaker 1: made it a platform and every one of y'all out
- 47:58Speaker 1: there are not Cardi b okay next, And now it's
- 48:01Speaker 1: time for a Confucius says, ladies and gentlemen, I just
- 48:08Speaker 1: want to say, check on your people. Mind. You know,
- 48:11Speaker 1: at the end of the day, life is so short
- 48:13Speaker 1: that you really really don't know what's next. You really
- 48:16Speaker 1: don't know, and the older you get, the more people
- 48:19Speaker 1: you lose. So please find solace in knowing that you
- 48:24Speaker 1: are loved, and more importantly, that you love your people.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Go forward, all the nation peace. It's real.
