• 0:03
Speaker 1: Our next one will be in a couple of weeks.
• 0:05
Speaker 1: I think it's before the BU series, towards the end
• 0:09
Speaker 1: of the month. Bob Joyce, Mike Kavanaugh, Adam Jerdino with you.
• 0:13
Speaker 1: Coming up. Thomas Cineo and Ryan Tattle will be our
• 0:15
Speaker 1: player interviews coming up, starting with Tom in the next segment.
• 0:18
Speaker 1: A lot of new faces. But let's start defensively, because
• 0:21
Speaker 1: obviously Thomas Cineo is now the old man in the defense.
• 0:25
Speaker 1: But what you got out of your freshman duo of
• 0:27
Speaker 1: Janverrea and Scott playing together late in the season, especially
• 0:30
Speaker 1: on the man advantage, was just so huge for the
• 0:34
Speaker 1: help of this team. Now John Spetts has gone, obviously
• 0:37
Speaker 1: you've brought in a couple of young guys to help
• 0:39
Speaker 1: on the defensive side. But what's that whole group look
• 0:42
Speaker 1: like going into the season opener?
• 0:44
Speaker 2: Yeah, we have two new defensemen, you know, well, in
• 0:51
Speaker 2: some ways three because Kevin Fitzgerald didn't last year, but
• 0:54
Speaker 2: he was around and it's not like he's new to
• 0:58
Speaker 2: the program. He understands how we play and what we
• 1:02
Speaker 2: want to do. So I don't really consider him, you know,
• 1:05
Speaker 2: a rookie so to speak.
• 1:07
Speaker 1: And by all accounts it sounds like he worked his
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: tail off too.
• 1:09
Speaker 2: He did. He's a lot of credit to Ed Blair
• 1:12
Speaker 2: and our training staff too to get him back. He
• 1:16
Speaker 2: and then we have Brendan Dunfie and Anthony Elaine Samaki,
• 1:21
Speaker 2: two newer players. And you know, Brendan's a big kid.
• 1:25
Speaker 2: He's six', five can, skate he's, long kind of in
• 1:29
Speaker 2: the mold Of. Viking and Then anthony is he's a
• 1:34
Speaker 2: good sized kid, Too he's probably six,' two, effortless skater,
• 1:39
Speaker 2: you Know From. Montreal quebec both both of them are going,
• 1:42
Speaker 2: to be, you know counting on them to play minutes
• 1:45
Speaker 2: for us this year and be a big part of our.
• 1:47
  Speaker 2: Defensive corps wait.
• 1:50
Speaker 1: A, minute adam there, you GO am, I, on yeah
• 1:52
Speaker 1: you aren't all right perfect in terms.
• 1:54
Speaker 3: Of finding these different pieces. THAT fit, i think, you
• 2:00
Speaker 3: know Seeing A brendan dunfie and seeing that he's, six'
• 2:04
Speaker 3: five what else in his skill set jumps out at
• 2:08
Speaker 3: you besides just the obvious of oh big, guy back
• 2:12
Speaker 3: there who you know we want him to? Block a
• 2:14
Speaker 3: shot he? Takes, up space yeah.
• 2:15
Speaker 2: He's certainly a. Great penalty killer he makes a really,
• 2:18
Speaker 2: good first, pass defends, well you Know. Much, like viking
• 2:24
Speaker 2: yeah Very. Similar to viking so where you know you're
• 2:28
Speaker 2: always trying to you Don't want six kaijian variers and
• 2:32
Speaker 2: you Don't want six viking right type players like you
• 2:36
Speaker 2: got to, have a mix and that's what we try
• 2:38
Speaker 2: to do when we build.
• 2:39
Speaker 1: Our defensive core what will People See from kevin fitzgerald
• 2:43
Speaker 1: on the ice when he's a.
• 2:44
Speaker 2: Really good skater he, Defends extremely well he's an. Excellent
• 2:52
Speaker 2: penalty killer he can jump into the playoffensively when, he
• 2:55
Speaker 2: has to but he makes his living defending and he's
• 3:01
Speaker 2: excellent feet and he.
• 3:01
Speaker 3: Defends very well, and from defense do you think backbone?
• 3:06

• 3:34
Speaker 2: he brings a wealth of experience and A pedigree that
• 3:39
Speaker 2: i think is really advantageous for our players because he

Speaker 2: has been in pro hockey for eight years and he
• 3:45
Speaker 2: understands what it takes to. Be SUCCESSFUL there so i like.
