The roots of atheism and evolution can be traced back the Greek philosophy of materialism popularized by Epicurus, but it gained massive momentum during the enlightenment as a form of social and political rebellion against the corrupt church-state systems controlled by the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Churches. As Bible believers, we need to be able to be equipped to give proper answers to the legitimate questions atheists and evolutionists bring to the table for discussion.
