  The goal is the transformation.
• 0:07
I'm listening to Joanna Penn's podcast, and she was just saying how she was at a wedding and some woman said, hey, I just wrote a book. Fantastic. Joanna Penn, by the way, has written dozens of books, has a podcast with 800 episodes, and she's sort of the queen bee in the industry.
• 0:24
And so I very much respect her and in fact, sort of almost idolize her in her way of.
• 0:31
The goal is to create, which is very much what I talk about. Right. And so this woman had said. I'm gonna paraphrase the story here. The woman said, hey, I had some ideas and I had ChatGPT write it. And Joanna said, that's great.
• 0:48
And she. It was interesting. She honestly meant it. It wasn't, oh, you're cheating, or, oh, that's not really you writing, or whatever.
• 0:55
But. But she didn't. So the woman didn't actually write the book, of course. Right. The. The chat did, and she just had the ideas together. So in a way, it's. It's great. I mean, for her, she had the ideas, put them together, and a book is. A book was created.
• 1:14
Now, Joanna's point is that the transformation comes from the writing of the book.
• 1:22
Right? It comes from the person doing the work. Right. And the reason I mentioned, I'm out here, I'm in Ljubljana in Slovenia, and I am running. Right.
• 1:36
By the way. No, I'm not gonna say it by the way. I was gonna say my. My shirt smells so bad. I don't know what it is with this, like, fabric, but it's. It's. I can't even. I can't only smell myself. Okay. Hello. Sidetracked.
• 1:49
Why. Why am I running? Right? Am I trying to beat the marathon times? Am I trying to win the race against the others? No, there's. There's nobody here.
• 1:59
  Nobody here but me.
• 2:01
So I'm doing this running for me.
• 2:05
And the process of writing a book or creating a video or creating art or drawing or painting or writing an article or a post or an audio book or a podcast episode or a video, 10 minute video, or the video I'm doing right now, I mean, yes, I'm doing it for you, but I'm more reminding myself, why am I running? Why am I jogging? And by the way, I am so slow. I get the little updates of my. Of my time. And sometimes it even says, are you done with the workout? No, I'm not. I'm just really slow and I'm trying to get 10 cakes. I'm doing a 10k in Utrecht in October. And I'm just. I'm just really slow, right?
• 2:56
And. And that's okay, because you know who I am faster than?
• 3:02
I'm faster than the guy who's still sitting on the couch, right, Having coffee with his wife, which I am not doing right now. She's on. She's sitting.
• 3:13
  Sorry, Saskia. She is.
• 3:15
She's on in a cafe having a coffee and reading her book, which is awesome, because you know what she wants to do? She wants to read her book and have coffee. By the way, she works out three times a week. She's the one who kicks my butt and gets and takes me to the gym three times a week. So.
• 3:31
But there you go. There's my accountability partner. By the way, I do not have Pepper here. Pepper, I hope you're doing okay, MD Bergen. I know he's in good hands. And here I am.
• 3:40
So just like that woman. Like, did she. Did she write a book? Not really.
• 3:45
But did she feel good about it? Yeah. Is. Is her book awesome? I don't know. It's probably pretty good. I mean, ChatGPT is getting better, right?
• 3:54
So what is the transformation? Where is the transformation? You know, what is the transformation you're looking for and what does that mean for you? Right? Is the transformation the act of the writing the book, like jogging? I could. I could write a ChatGPT prompt to talk about the benefits of jogging on a Saturday morning in Slovenia, but it would not be the same as me doing it, obviously. But if you bring that same idea to the idea of writing or creating, then I see it as the same thing, right? No, I can't create it for you. No, I can't write the book for you. I mean, I could, but it's not the same transformation. So what are we really looking for? We're looking for the transformation.
• 4:48
And then I had a conversation yesterday and he said, oh, Bradley, are you still trying to convince people to do stuff? No, I. I'm not. I am very clear on this channel that I do this for me.
• 4:59
And if you want some help, if you want to do it for you, you want some guidance, you want a framework, you want some ideas, I am all for helping you, but I am not the one who's going to see this beginning to interesting verbs inspire you or motivate you to go do the thing right? You need to want to do the thing on your own. And the goal of the doing the thing ideally is for the transformation.
• 5:31
And that's. So what's the transformation that I have Running one morning.
• 5:36
And. And is it huge? No. Do I. Do I feel better? Yes. Did I complete the 10k run? No. Did I qualify for something or other? No. Did I beat the team? No. There's not even anybody out here, right? It's just me.
• 5:50
So I'm doing it for me, and I want you to do it for you. That's it. That's really it. It's pretty simple. And so what is it that I want you to do? Well, I don't want you to do anything. I want you to do it because you want to do it. And what is it that you want to do then? What is it? Like? I don't. I can't know that for you, right?
• 6:08
  I can't know.
• 6:12
The chills, there's birds. It's like singing over here.
• 6:17
I can't know what it is that that thing is that you want to do that will bring that transformation for you. I don't know. You know, and you do know, and your gut knows.
• 6:29
Go. GO knows your gut. Whether it's Gary or Gerard or Gibraltar, whatever your gut is called, your gut knows. You know.
• 6:42
  GO knows.
• 6:44
There we have it. That's it. That's all we're doing. All right. I gotta go. I have things to do. I got, like, runs to finish and.
• 6:50
And times to improve on, and the only ones I'm gonna improve it on are the ones from me from last week or whatever.
• 7:00
  That's it.
• 7:02
  So what's the transformation?
• 7:04
Transformation with running for me is I feel better. I have more energy. I feel better.
• 7:10
I am flies flying around my face because they want to be with me.
• 7:17
So that's it. How. Why. What is the transformation going to look like for you? Right? Like, why. Why are you doing the thing. What do you know what it looks like when it happens? Will you know what it looks like when it happens? I think this is important because otherwise, then we just keep going. And why. Why are we doing.
• 7:36
Like, with running, it's so easy. I am losing weight, which I can count on a scale. I feel better. I just. That you can calculate by how you feel during the day. And I feel so much better. I want to eat better, which is super kind of cool, because then I don't eat crap.
• 7:53
And yeah, I feel better. I look better.
• 7:59
My body looks better. My body feels better.
• 8:02
I'm just feeling better. I'm more confident. Well, I have more clarity, courage, and confidence right there. And it all comes. Not all of it, but a lot of it comes from jogging and. And exercise. But the biggest Transformation for me comes from creation, which is why I cannot not hit record in the woods in Ljubljana, which I can't spell, by the way. Every time I do it, I do, like, L, U, B, L. And then I wait for the spell check to kick in because I can't figure out how to spell it. There's a lot of L's and Y's and A's and stuff.
• 8:36
  Ljubljana.
• 8:37
Little soft pitch there. It is enchanting. I know. I was in Antwerp the other week, and I think I said that too, but wow. Ljubljana is like, whoa, it's awesome.
• 8:49
Okay, I gotta go watch that. There's a lot of noises going on here.
• 8:55
I feel like, what is following me?
• 8:59
Probably something like tiny little bird.
• 9:02
It's just rustling a lot of leaves and sounds really big. Then, of course, some, like, giant saber tooth tiger jumps out of the woods.
• 9:11
But, hey, it's all part of the transformation, right?
• 9:14
All right. Oh, my. I swear, there's so many noises. All right, now I'm getting paranoid. All right, I gotta go. Hey, if. If this video posts and you never hear from me again, could you, like, find my location and look me up? I'm in. I'm in the middle of Slovenia. I'm in Tivoli park, which is a much bigger park than I realized, and it's fantastic here. All right.
• 9:33
Hey, thanks. What is the transformation that you are seeking?
• 9:37
What is the creation that you can do to bring on that transformation?
• 9:45
And then when are you gonna get started, and when are you gonna tell me about it?
• 9:49
Because that's all I really want to know. I want to know that you got started, but I want to know if you're finished, too. But I wanted to know if I can help you get started. All right, signing out.
• 9:57
  Peace. Bye for now.
