- 0:00Speaker 1: Now this is the Mark Simon Show on sevent ten.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Wo Hey, well, we got a lot to get to.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Caroline Levitt leaving the White House? Why who will replace her?
- 0:14Speaker 1: We'll get to all of that. We'll get to Iran,
- 0:17Speaker 1: We'll get to Howard Stern. We'll get to by President
- 0:20Speaker 1: Trump visiting Long Island tomorrow. It's going to be a
- 0:22Speaker 1: traffic mess out there. We'll give you all the details
- 0:25Speaker 1: and a whole lot more to get to. We'll get
- 0:27Speaker 1: to the latest on the Crazy Mom Donnie CBS leaving
- 0:31Speaker 1: New York. Well, we'll get to all of that coming up.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Caroline Levitt leaving the White House. It kind of stunned everybody.
- 0:39Speaker 1: It's a tough job. It's a very intense job being
- 0:42Speaker 1: that White House press secretary. You know, most of us
- 0:46Speaker 1: just all we see is the briefing, which is a
- 0:49Speaker 1: half hour an hour every day, and that's brutal too.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I mean, you're talking to the worst people in the world,
- 0:53Speaker 1: the slimiest, dirtiest, fake news people that are out to
- 0:58Speaker 1: get you every second. But that briefing is just a
- 1:02Speaker 1: tiny fraction of the job. They don't realize the rest
- 1:05Speaker 1: of the day. For a press secretary White House press secretaries.
- 1:08Speaker 1: This brutal all day long. You've got all these departments
- 1:12Speaker 1: you got to run, you got to meet with everybody
- 1:14Speaker 1: all day long, gather all the information, go over everything
- 1:17Speaker 1: with everybody. Just it's an intense job. And I guess
- 1:21Speaker 1: she just had enough. There's nothing, you know, behind the scenes,
- 1:26Speaker 1: intrigue or any She just wanted to leave. She just
- 1:29Speaker 1: had her second child, got a young baby at home,
- 1:32Speaker 1: wanted to spend more time with her. And again, it's
- 1:34Speaker 1: a brutal, intense job. A lot of press secretaries leave
- 1:38Speaker 1: after two years. This is a year and a half.
- 1:42Speaker 1: And the only surprising part here is normally you would
- 1:45Speaker 1: wait till after the midterms and get through that and
- 1:48Speaker 1: then do it towards the end of the year. That
- 1:52Speaker 1: would be normal. But she just wanted to get out fast.
- 1:55Speaker 1: President Trump, you know, loves her, praises her all the time.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Good.
- 2:03Speaker 1: You know when she goes on television Fox like I mean,
- 2:07Speaker 1: they dominate, they dominate. When she gets up there with
- 2:10Speaker 1: that beautiful face and those lips that don't stop but
- 2:13Speaker 1: up up.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Like a little machine gun.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Well she is good. Her training is radio. Years in radio,
- 2:19Speaker 1: worked for Howie car for years and it did run
- 2:24Speaker 1: for Congress once. Expect her to do that again. She
- 2:27Speaker 1: will run for something again. She's great with the reporters.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Many have a criminal record versus those who are just
- 2:33Speaker 2: in the country illegally, all of them because they illegally
- 2:36Speaker 2: broke our nation's laws, and therefore they are criminals as
- 2:38Speaker 2: far as this administration goes. I know, the last administration
- 2:41Speaker 2: didn't see it that way. So it's a big culture
- 2:43Speaker 2: shift in our nation to view someone who breaks our
- 2:45Speaker 2: immigration laws as a criminal. But that's exactly what they are.
- 2:47Speaker 2: They all got a criminal record, and welcome to the
- 2:51Speaker 2: if they broke our nation's laws, yes they are criminal.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yeah, now you see, give a nice explanation, logical explanation,
- 2:57Speaker 1: and then these vultures. I mean, how many times can
- 3:03Speaker 1: you sit through that every day? So a lot of
- 3:05Speaker 1: press secretaries don't last more than a year and a half,
- 3:07Speaker 1: for two years, But who will replace her? Well, the
- 3:11Speaker 1: President's putting together a list of names. High on the list.
- 3:15Speaker 1: High on the list is Elena Haba, who was he
- 3:20Speaker 1: had nominated her to be the US attorney in New Jersey.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Elena Habba high on the list. Breitbart Washington Bureau chief
- 3:29Speaker 1: Matthew Boyle. He's on the list, and there's a few
- 3:32Speaker 1: others they're looking at. No word yet, there's an assistant
- 3:36Speaker 1: press secretaries and all that. They'll do it in the meantime.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And remember when she went on attorney leave. A couple
- 3:41Speaker 1: of times, they just had cabinet members fill in jd
- 3:45Speaker 1: vance one day. Ruby Rubio was brilliant at it. He's
- 3:49Speaker 1: a little too busy to do that every day, but
- 3:51Speaker 1: Rubio was great. Scott Besstt was great at it. So
- 3:54Speaker 1: you'll see a new White House Press secretary. Precist. Caroline
- 3:58Speaker 1: Levitt is thirty two. She's married to a guy. He's
- 4:02Speaker 1: about sixty. There's a big age difference, big age difference,
- 4:06Speaker 1: very wealthy, successful real estate guy, investor. She's married to him,
- 4:10Speaker 1: and again, just had a second child, young baby at home.
- 4:15Speaker 1: So twenty eight, she's twenty eight. Oh wait, no, wait
- 4:18Speaker 1: a minute, twenty eight twenty eight to sixty, that's an
- 4:21Speaker 1: even bigger way. That's a thirty two year age difference.
- 4:24Speaker 1: That's a big age difference. But I mean it seems
- 4:28Speaker 1: like a really good marriage, solid marriage. Now she will
- 4:32Speaker 1: run for something in the future. You'll see her run
- 4:35Speaker 1: for something in the future. So we'll see who the
- 4:38Speaker 1: president picks. It'll it'll probably be a couple of weeks.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Will the President run for a third term? He does
- 4:46Speaker 1: throw that out. He has hats with Trump twenty twenty
- 4:49Speaker 1: eight on it. He loves to throw that out because
- 4:52Speaker 1: you crazy sick Trump derangement syndrome people. Yeah, it's okay
- 4:58Speaker 1: not to like President Trump, but that Trump arrangement syndrome
- 5:00Speaker 1: where you go nuts and start yelling no Kings, Nazi. Oh.
- 5:04Speaker 1: He loves to rally up. You know. It's like when
- 5:06Speaker 1: you're in the zoo and you like to rattle the
- 5:07Speaker 1: cage a little and watch the animal go nuts. That's
- 5:11Speaker 1: what he likes to do. So, but people ask him
- 5:14Speaker 1: all the time about a third term. Everybody asked me
- 5:17Speaker 1: that question, and you know that the law's very strong
- 5:20Speaker 1: on that. I'd love to run, but the law's very strong.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I get asked by every well, even tonight, they're screaming
- 5:26Speaker 1: at the event twenty twenty eight. Now, everybody wants me
- 5:30Speaker 1: to do it, but the law's very strong. Yeah, so
- 5:34Speaker 1: he'll keep taunting everybody with that. Hey, by the way,
- 5:36Speaker 1: he's coming to Long Island tomorrow. If you're in Long Island,
- 5:39Speaker 1: if you're going to Long Island Tomorrow's Friday. It's going
- 5:42Speaker 1: to be a traffic nightmare at times. He's going to
- 5:46Speaker 1: an event that starts at three o'clock. He loves Bruce Blakeman.
- 5:53Speaker 1: He would endorse Bruce Blakeman in a second, but I
- 5:56Speaker 1: guess they've studied the matter and decided he should not
- 5:59Speaker 1: just out and out endorse Bruce Blakeman. If that gould
- 6:02Speaker 1: Hell obviously to help a lot of people, but it
- 6:04Speaker 1: might hurt with other people. So there will be no
- 6:07Speaker 1: formal announcement endorsement, but this will be kind of an endorsement.
- 6:10Speaker 1: He's going to come out to peer with Blakeman. He's
- 6:14Speaker 1: going to make a big, big speech, gonn be a
- 6:16Speaker 1: huge audience, will be like a thousand people in the audience,
- 6:19Speaker 1: It'll be It'll be a great speech about law enforcement,
- 6:23Speaker 1: about the progress they've made on crime, and about the
- 6:28Speaker 1: new FBI report, new crime statistics will come out, so
- 6:31Speaker 1: it'll be it'll be a pretty important event. It's going
- 6:34Speaker 1: to be. Long Island has a magnificent police Academy police
- 6:38Speaker 1: training center in Nassau County. It's just just east of
- 6:44Speaker 1: Garden City near Eisenhower Park, so that's where the President
- 6:47Speaker 1: will be. He's going to land at Kennedy Airport around
- 6:50Speaker 1: two o'clock and then go from Kennedy out to this
- 6:55Speaker 1: police academy. Now that's going to be a traffic nightmare.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Although I'm not sure if they're going to use a
- 6:59Speaker 1: Hello chapter, but most likely to be the motorcade, so
- 7:02Speaker 1: there'll be a lot of street closures, and then starts
- 7:05Speaker 1: at three o'clock, massive speech, huge crowd. I don't know,
- 7:09Speaker 1: figure gets done at four four point thirty. So by
- 7:12Speaker 1: the time he's ready to leave, it's going to be
- 7:14Speaker 1: rush hour in Long Island, So traffic nightmare tomorrow. He's
- 7:18Speaker 1: going to go from that place near Eisenhower Park back
- 7:21Speaker 1: to Kennedy Airport, So just beware of that tomorrow if
- 7:25Speaker 1: you're on Long Island. Hey, the President with the switching
- 7:30Speaker 1: of Air Force One, he was in Turkey, he was
- 7:32Speaker 1: going to leave. They said there was a threat against
- 7:34Speaker 1: Air Force one, and that's why they switched to the
- 7:38Speaker 1: old Air Force one because it had better missile defense
- 7:41Speaker 1: systems on it. And I remember they smuggled him out
- 7:44Speaker 1: of the Air Force one, put him on a military
- 7:46Speaker 1: plane and knuck him out of Turkey. What was the
- 7:48Speaker 1: actual threat. It was from Israeli intelligence. Israeli intelligence found
- 7:55Speaker 1: out there was a threat against Air Force one that
- 7:58Speaker 1: day from a shoulder fired missile, which would be somebody
- 8:02Speaker 1: on the ground. It would be as the plane took off,
- 8:05Speaker 1: shoulder fired missile. They're saying an unidentified person was actually
- 8:10Speaker 1: seen with a shoulder fired missile somewhere in the area.
- 8:13Speaker 1: This was the annual annual conference of NATO Heads of
- 8:16Speaker 1: State and now US intelligence. The CIA says they don't
- 8:21Speaker 1: put a lot of credibility on that threat. But if
- 8:27Speaker 1: you had to do, who would you If you had
- 8:30Speaker 1: to decide, who would you go with, Israeli intelligence or
- 8:33Speaker 1: the CIA. I remember, the CIA has been wrong about
- 8:36Speaker 1: a lot of things. Boy have they gotten a lot
- 8:39Speaker 1: of stuff wrong through the years, including weapons of mass
- 8:42Speaker 1: destruction and all that. Israeli intelligence pretty good. So that's
- 8:48Speaker 1: the reason they made the switch. The president snuck off
- 8:50Speaker 1: the plane and took a military jet. Now they did
- 8:54Speaker 1: let the plane take off with reporters, senior aides if
- 8:57Speaker 1: there was such a such a threat on the plane
- 9:01Speaker 1: that was being threatened with Scott Bessen, Marco Rubio, Stephen Scheng,
- 9:06Speaker 1: a lot of staff, Dan Scavino. Oh, actually no Scavino.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You know what, it's fascinating. So with this big threat,
- 9:13Speaker 1: the President snuck off to get on a safer plane.
- 9:16Speaker 1: He took Pete Hegxas with him and Dan Scaffino, Dan Scavino,
- 9:20Speaker 1: Deputy chief of staff. So that was the threat. No
- 9:26Speaker 1: more word on whether they actually caught anybody or found anybody. Hey,
- 9:30Speaker 1: when it comes to Iran, here's what they're also detecting.
- 9:35Speaker 1: You remember, this is Israeli intelligence, US intelligence. Israeli intelligence
- 9:39Speaker 1: is very good over there. What they're detecting now is
- 9:43Speaker 1: that this is just sort of coasting along now in
- 9:46Speaker 1: a stalemate. Although Iran suffering unbelievable suffering with their economy.
- 9:52Speaker 1: They're absolutely broken out of money. Inflation is three hundred
- 9:57Speaker 1: percent in Iran right now. People are starving. I don't
- 10:00Speaker 1: know how they're going to survive like this. But apparently
- 10:03Speaker 1: what they're plotting and planning. They've got some missiles left,
- 10:07Speaker 1: some that were hit, they buried in an air strike.
- 10:12Speaker 1: They're going to dug them out of the ground. What
- 10:14Speaker 1: they want to do is just before the midterms, Iran
- 10:18Speaker 1: wants to launch a huge counter offensive against the US.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Just fire anything and everything. They desperately want the Republicans
- 10:27Speaker 1: to lose in the midterms. They want the Democrats to
- 10:30Speaker 1: take over Congress, and they're thinking is the Democrats, and
- 10:35Speaker 1: they're not wrong about this, will go crazy trying to
- 10:38Speaker 1: stop the war once they if if they had control
- 10:41Speaker 1: of Congress, they'll pass a million laws that Iran wars
- 10:45Speaker 1: illegal and has to stop immediately. They'll impeach President Trump
- 10:49Speaker 1: every day of the week. So that's what Iran's counting on.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So just before the midterms, they're plotting a massive, aggressive attack.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Whatever they got they'll throw at us in an attempt
- 11:01Speaker 1: to screw up President Trump for the midterms. A lot
- 11:06Speaker 1: of people in the military aware of this and figuring
- 11:10Speaker 1: out now how to just crush that and stop that
- 11:14Speaker 1: before it happens. Straight of hor Moose will keep that
- 11:17Speaker 1: closed for two reasons. One is it completely shuts down
- 11:24Speaker 1: a ram's economy. They have absolutely no income or revenue
- 11:27Speaker 1: with the Straight ofhr Moose closed. And the other thing
- 11:30Speaker 1: is price of oil has not reacted that badly to that.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Let me just check again, price oil right now eighty
- 11:37Speaker 1: one dollars a barrel. It's a little higher than usual,
- 11:39Speaker 1: but that's not real high. That's not bad. That's way
- 11:43Speaker 1: below the Joe Biden years. Eighty one dollars of barrel's
- 11:46Speaker 1: not bad. I know, it looks like five dollars a
- 11:48Speaker 1: gallon here. That's just here in New York or California.
- 11:52Speaker 1: That's all state local tax. Rest of the country it's
- 11:55Speaker 1: around three ninety four dollars a gallon. So the other
- 11:58Speaker 1: reason besides we can withstand this oil wise, is we're
- 12:03Speaker 1: the biggest producer of oil in the world. Right now,
- 12:06Speaker 1: we are pumping so much oil thanks to President Trump,
- 12:09Speaker 1: he opened up the drilling everywhere. We are pumping so
- 12:13Speaker 1: much oil that we could never even use it all.
- 12:14Speaker 1: We've got more oil than we can ever use, and
- 12:17Speaker 1: so we're becoming a big exporter of oil, bigger than
- 12:21Speaker 1: Saudi Arabia, bigger. Nobody has more oil than we do,
- 12:24Speaker 1: and nobody can export more oil than we do. So
- 12:27Speaker 1: with the Straight of hor Moose closed, more and more
- 12:31Speaker 1: countries are now buying from US, so it's increasing business
- 12:34Speaker 1: into the US. Countries from all over the world are
- 12:37Speaker 1: starting to buy from US because they can't get any
- 12:39Speaker 1: out of the Straight of hor Moose now, and they're
- 12:40Speaker 1: also starting to think it's better to buy from US
- 12:44Speaker 1: because the straight of horm Moose, even in the future,
- 12:46Speaker 1: will be unreliable, and they better start buying from US.
- 12:49Speaker 1: So it's helped the US a lot. Now. The other
- 12:51Speaker 1: thing is, within two years there will be no more
- 12:54Speaker 1: oil and the straight of hormose, we won't need it anymore.
- 12:58Speaker 1: All the Gulf States right now are preparing to totally
- 13:01Speaker 1: ditch the straight oh hor moose. They're building pipelines frantically,
- 13:05Speaker 1: day and night, building pipelines to other places. So the
- 13:08Speaker 1: oil within two years of becoming out of the Gulf
- 13:11Speaker 1: States without ever needing the straight oh horn moose, and
- 13:14Speaker 1: Iran will never again be able to use it as
- 13:17Speaker 1: a threat. Hey CBS, now you know there's this paramount
- 13:20Speaker 1: Skydance merger and everybody's not everybody, these crazy left wing politicians,
- 13:30Speaker 1: attorney general and all the crazy activists yelling and screaming
- 13:34Speaker 1: it'll be a monopoly. Now won't be a monopoly. It'll
- 13:38Speaker 1: be like the number five streaming service merging with the
- 13:41Speaker 1: number twelve streaming service. It's not going to be a
- 13:43Speaker 1: monopoly of any kind. But they're trying to stop this.
- 13:47Speaker 1: One reason is CNN is involved in this merger. So
- 13:51Speaker 1: I guess they think there'll be some kind of control
- 13:54Speaker 1: over it there. But the Attorney General here in New York,
- 13:58Speaker 1: Tish James, the Attorney General in California, they're all threatening
- 14:03Speaker 1: Paramount sky Dance and coming after them. So what do
- 14:08Speaker 1: you do about that if you're if you're the chairman
- 14:11Speaker 1: putting together this merger. Well, they did say it's very
- 14:16Speaker 1: possible they'll move CBS out of New York once. If
- 14:19Speaker 1: they actually moved CBS out of New York state, well,
- 14:23Speaker 1: then the New York Attorney General has no jurisdiction and
- 14:26Speaker 1: can't do anything. And this talk about moving them out
- 14:29Speaker 1: of California too, I don't think that's drastic because if
- 14:33Speaker 1: you move them out of CBS and out of California,
- 14:35Speaker 1: you save a fortune. It's a lot cheaper to operate
- 14:38Speaker 1: somewhere else, a lot cheaper. Do you move it to
- 14:43Speaker 1: another state, you're saving a fortune. So it's not a
- 14:47Speaker 1: crazy thing to do. And these businesses like CBS, they
- 14:51Speaker 1: don't make the money they used to. Viewership is way down,
- 14:54Speaker 1: revenue is way down. A CBS course, CBS building on
- 15:00Speaker 1: sixth Avenue, and then there's the massive facility fifty seventh
- 15:04Speaker 1: and twelfth. You know that you always drive by that
- 15:06Speaker 1: CBS building, which is quite a crazy building. I used
- 15:09Speaker 1: to work there. It's an old dairy farm, dairy factory
- 15:13Speaker 1: or whatever it was. And then they cut two or
- 15:15Speaker 1: three buildings together. It's a ridiculous maze. And if you're
- 15:19Speaker 1: in the studio and you try to go to the
- 15:21Speaker 1: men's room, you got a twist and turn on a
- 15:24Speaker 1: million hallways and then nobody can refine their way back.
- 15:27Speaker 1: It's like a hospital. They got a paint lines on
- 15:29Speaker 1: the floor so you know where to go. So they
- 15:34Speaker 1: could close that down, they could move. And now I
- 15:35Speaker 1: remember CNN in its early years came out of Atlanta.
- 15:41Speaker 1: It's easy to do. It became a big, successful, big
- 15:43Speaker 1: national network operating out of Atlanta. You don't have to
- 15:46Speaker 1: be in New York. And a lot of people say
- 15:48Speaker 1: that CNN was better in Atlanta because it's when they
- 15:53Speaker 1: got out of there and came to New York. That's
- 15:55Speaker 1: when they got more crazy left wing. You know, when
- 15:58Speaker 1: they were broadcasting from Atlanta was in the heartland real America.
- 16:02Speaker 1: They were more common sense. When they came to Manhattan,
- 16:06Speaker 1: you know, Upper West Side, where CNN was all of
- 16:09Speaker 1: a sudden it became more left wing. Everybody hired was
- 16:12Speaker 1: more left wing. A lot of that bias came from
- 16:15Speaker 1: leaving Atlanta. Hey, so we got a lot to get to.
- 16:17Speaker 1: We'll get the crazy mom, Donnie, and a whole lot
- 16:21Speaker 1: more just ahead on seven ten WR, Mark Simone here
- 16:25Speaker 1: nine to noon every day, nine am to noon every day,
- 16:29Speaker 1: right here on seven ten WR
