Speaker 1: I am here because Washington needs fighters, and Graham Platner
• 0:05
Speaker 1: is the fighter we need. You. Bet, I said to myself,
• 0:13
  Speaker 1: that's my kind of man. That's my that's my that's
• 0:18
Speaker 1: my kind of man. That's my that's my that's my
• 0:23
  Speaker 1: kind of man.
• 0:24
Speaker 2: Because that is a man.
• 0:27
Speaker 1: Who not only has the values, but a man believes
• 0:33
  Speaker 1: and accountability.
• 0:37
Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
• 0:40
  Speaker 2: Good Wednesday morning.
• 0:41
Speaker 4: It's so nice to have you with us on the
• 0:43
Speaker 4: forty seven Morning Update, and we've got two.
• 0:45
Speaker 2: Very big stories for you.
• 0:46
Speaker 4: First up, Grand Platner, Democrats turning on him, trying to
• 0:50
Speaker 4: get him out of the race. But if you think
• 0:51
Speaker 4: they've found their moral compass, we've got to tell you
• 0:54
Speaker 4: about another candidate they're backing with everything they've got, plus
• 0:59
Speaker 4: the president nights and it's America. He says he's had
• 1:02
Speaker 4: enough of Iran's threats monstead of Oremus and now has
• 1:05
Speaker 4: said sanctions are coming back on their oil and even
• 1:08
Speaker 4: strikes against Iran. Now, before we get to both those stories,
• 1:12
Speaker 4: I want to talk to you right now about how
• 1:14
Speaker 4: the stakes could not be any higher. We finally have
• 1:17
Speaker 4: a president and administration fighting hard for America first. But
• 1:21
Speaker 4: if conservatives like you and I lose focus now, the
• 1:24
Speaker 4: same people who created this mess are ready and waiting
• 1:27
Speaker 4: to resume their destruction their progressive agenda. And protecting this
• 1:31
Speaker 4: momentum takes more than votes. It takes every American like
• 1:35
Speaker 4: you staying in the fight for our rights and freedoms.
• 1:38
Speaker 4: And that's why more and more people I know are
• 1:42
Speaker 4: switching to Patriot Mobile. It is America's only Christian conservative
• 1:46
Speaker 4: wireless provider now, Patriot Mobile, which I use every day,
• 1:49
Speaker 4: and they're amazing. They offer premium priority nationwide service on
• 1:54
Speaker 4: all three major US networks, unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots,
• 1:58
Speaker 4: international roaming. They've got it all and I love their
• 2:02
Speaker 4: team because it's one hundred percent US based customer support.
• 2:05
Speaker 2: Switching has never been easier.
• 2:07
Speaker 4: You can do it in minutes while keeping your same
• 2:09
Speaker 4: phone and the same phone number you've got right now. Now,
• 2:12
Speaker 4: this is where the magic comes in. Unlike the other carriers,
• 2:15
Speaker 4: Patriot Mobile they put their money towards causes that defend faith, family,
• 2:20
Speaker 4: and freedom. They literally contribute millions of dollars each year
• 2:24
Speaker 4: to organizations on the front lines fighting for our God
• 2:28
Speaker 4: given rights, and that is why I.
• 2:30
  Speaker 2: Love Patriot Mobile.
• 2:32
Speaker 4: So, whether you've got a small business or a bunch
• 2:34
Speaker 4: of family lines, or just your phone number, switch it today.

Speaker 4: Ben forty seven, you're gonna get a free month of service.
• 2:52
Speaker 4: That's Patriotmobile dot com slash Ben forty seven or nine
• 2:56
Speaker 4: to seven to Patriot To make that switch today. It's
• 3:00
Speaker 4: a forty seven morning update and it starts right now.
• 3:03
  Speaker 3: Story number one.
• 3:05
Speaker 4: Democrats are turning quickly on Grand Platiner, not because of
• 3:09
Speaker 4: the latest accuser, but because they realize he can't win.
• 3:14
Speaker 4: The polling data is now showing that he is a
• 3:16
Speaker 4: lame duck candidate. And now Democrats do what they do well,
• 3:21
Speaker 4: They excommunicate you quickly. Even ms NOW, you know, formerly
• 3:26
Speaker 4: of MSNBC. They are suggesting that Platner's latest accuser is
• 3:31
Speaker 4: somehow quote more reliable because his other accuser, well, it
• 3:36
Speaker 4: was associated with right wing politics.
• 3:39
Speaker 2: That's their exact quote.
• 3:41
Speaker 4: So because they say that she's now this woman is
• 3:44
Speaker 4: a liberal. I guess you can believe her so much
• 3:47
Speaker 4: for a party that said literally believe all women, well
• 3:51
Speaker 4: apparently unless you're a Republican, you got it.
• 3:53
Speaker 2: This actually happened on MSNBC.
• 3:57
Speaker 5: To that comment about the sort of post me to
• 3:59
Speaker 5: Eras and the debate that sort of happened to the
• 4:01
Speaker 5: Democratic Party after the series of allegations around Graham Plattner.
• 4:06
Speaker 5: Part of I think what made it complicated for some
• 4:08
Speaker 5: Democrats to fully believe the woman who's at the center
• 4:12
Speaker 5: of the last round was that she was associated with
• 4:14
Speaker 5: right wing politics. But this woman, she I want to
• 4:18
Speaker 5: read part of what's out here. One of the reasons,
• 4:20
Speaker 5: she says to Politico, I didn't come forward sooner was
• 4:23
Speaker 5: the huge moral conflict that I had between supporting his politics.
• 4:26
Speaker 5: So she is saying, I actually agree with Graham Platner,
• 4:29
Speaker 5: his positions, his politics. She's clearly more on the left,
• 4:31
Speaker 5: but not supporting him as a person. I just want
• 4:34
Speaker 5: the truth out there. I just want people to have
• 4:36
Speaker 5: a whole scope of who he is as a person.
• 4:40
Speaker 4: So to be clear, the only women that Democrats will
• 4:43
Speaker 4: actually believe are radical lefties, and only when they've gotten
• 4:47
Speaker 4: their marching orders to come out and accuse of candidate
• 4:50
Speaker 4: that they believe is going to lose of something. This
• 4:52
Speaker 4: is very much like Eric Swallwell in California, and then
• 4:56
Speaker 4: we will say, okay, fine, you must drop out. Fetterman
• 5:00
Speaker 4: the only Democrat out there who actually is calling out
• 5:03
Speaker 4: Democrats for their hypocrisy. He said this on Fox News
• 5:07
Speaker 4: Channel about Bernie Sanders.
• 5:09
Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I refuse to overlook that, but honestly,
• 5:13
Speaker 6: I would really call Bernie Sanders to apologize for pushing
• 5:19
Speaker 6: this kind of predator more than anyone. He helped him
• 5:23
Speaker 6: elect and now apologize to the victims, especially the woman
• 5:27
Speaker 6: that she claimed that he raped her. So, I don't
• 5:31
Speaker 6: know why you want to keep pushing these kinds of people.
• 5:34
Speaker 6: Maybe he should consider set a few out and stop
• 5:37
Speaker 6: pushing these kind of communists and people and now people
• 5:41
Speaker 6: you know like p Hustle. Now he has been incredibly
• 5:45
Speaker 6: accused of rape and that's fairly recent too, that was
• 5:49
Speaker 6: only less than five years ago.
• 5:52
Speaker 5: Well, he said that allegations are untrue, but that he's
• 5:56
Speaker 5: basically reviewing his options obviously gonna drop out.
• 6:01
  Speaker 3: Correct.
• 6:02
Speaker 4: Now you listen to that from Fetterman, and what you
• 6:05
Speaker 4: learn is this the Democratic Party is not doing the
• 6:08
Speaker 4: right thing here. They're just trying to win a seat.
• 6:10
Speaker 4: Their moral compass is literally only what the polling data shows.
• 6:16
Speaker 4: And if you don't believe me, let me give you
• 6:18
Speaker 4: this fact. New audio has surfaced in another race. It
• 6:22
Speaker 4: is now audio that contradicts Abdul l Shaide's claim that
• 6:27
Speaker 4: he never backed the radical identity politics of defunding the police. Yes,
• 6:33
Speaker 4: that far left Muslim Michigan Senate candidate is now facing
• 6:36
Speaker 4: renewed scrutiny after this new audio showed him explicitly supporting
• 6:41
Speaker 4: efforts to defund the police departments completely. Now, in his
• 6:45
Speaker 4: previous interviews, Alseaeid had denied ever calling to defund the police,
• 6:51
Speaker 4: arguing that his old social media posts work just misrepresented
• 6:55
Speaker 4: after of course being taken out of context. But now
• 6:59
Speaker 4: a recording from just twenty twenty tells a very different story.
• 7:03
Speaker 4: In one interview from June twenty twenty, al Sayed said
• 7:06
Speaker 4: he believed police funding should be reduced while more taxpayer
• 7:10
Speaker 4: dollars should be directed towards schools, mental health services, and
• 7:13
Speaker 4: of course anti poverty programs, because remember, this is how
• 7:18
Speaker 4: you justify defunding the police. Alseeed said this as well.
• 7:23
Speaker 4: We are in a moment when a lot of our
• 7:25
Speaker 4: public conversation gets chewed down into two hundred eighty characters
• 7:29
Speaker 4: or less, and that is not the best way to
• 7:31
Speaker 4: talk about anything. So you'll note I didn't say defund
• 7:35
Speaker 4: the police. I just described what needed to be done.
• 7:38
Speaker 4: And I do think we need to be really focused
• 7:40
Speaker 4: on describing or explaining rather than sort of hedging on
• 7:44
Speaker 4: one side or the other behind a quote hashtag. He
• 7:48
Speaker 4: then said, defunding the police is disinvesting in the means
• 7:52
Speaker 4: of incarcerating someone or killing them on the streets, and
• 7:56
Speaker 4: investing more in the means of educating and empowering and
• 7:59
Speaker 4: in gauging communities with the means of being able to
• 8:03
Speaker 4: take on systemic poverty that we've allowed to fester in
• 8:06
Speaker 4: too many communities. Now again, these comments originally came out
• 8:11
Speaker 4: in twenty twenty, right as the quote defund the police
• 8:15
Speaker 4: movement was picking up major steam after the death of
• 8:17
Speaker 4: George Floyd. Alseed's campaign now has to admit and they
• 8:22
Speaker 4: have admitted that his views have quote changed since then.
• 8:27
Speaker 4: So instead of just straight applying to you saying I
• 8:29
Speaker 4: never said it, they're now saying, well, maybe he did
• 8:32
Speaker 4: say it, but well he didn't really mean it. Now
• 8:35
Speaker 4: the issue is coming up again because Elseed is currently
• 8:37
Speaker 4: leading the Democratic primary for Michigan's top US Senate seat.
• 8:42
Speaker 4: The new polls that have come out earlier this May
• 8:45
Speaker 4: showed him out in a twenty eight point lead. Yeah
• 8:48
Speaker 4: that's big, so Alseed, Well, now he's getting people that
• 8:53
Speaker 4: are actually looking at what he believes in and he
• 8:55
Speaker 4: is another radical communists. Now this is again the Democratic park.
• 9:00
Speaker 4: This is the candidates they keep choosing. It doesn't matter
• 9:03
Speaker 4: if they lie to your face. It doesn't matter. If
• 9:06
Speaker 4: they've abused women. It doesn't matter if they lie about
• 9:09
Speaker 4: anything in their past. As long as they think they
• 9:13
Speaker 4: can win. It doesn't matter if you've abused women, hit them,
• 9:16
Speaker 4: rape them, it doesn't matter. This is the Democratic Party.
• 9:20
Speaker 4: Win it all costs. But if the polling data changes,
• 9:24
Speaker 4: well they'll excommunicate you as fast as they did Eric
• 9:27
Speaker 4: Swalwell and now Grand Platner.
• 9:30
Speaker 3: Next story Number two.
• 9:31
Speaker 4: President Donald Trump twenty four hours ago issued a stark
• 9:35
Speaker 4: warning to Iran, declaring the US is prepared to completely
• 9:39
Speaker 4: dismantle the country's infrastructure in a small part of an
• 9:43
Speaker 4: afternoon if a diplomatic deal cannot be reached.
• 9:47
Speaker 2: The President saying this from the Oval Office. Look, we're
• 9:51
Speaker 2: gonna win one way or the other.
• 9:52
Speaker 7: We're either going to make a deal. We're going to
• 9:54
Speaker 7: finish the job, okay, And it won't be tough to
• 9:57
Speaker 7: finish your job. I'd rather make a deal because I
• 10:01
Speaker 7: don't want to affect ninety one million people. We can
• 10:03
Speaker 7: knock down their bridges in one hour. We can knock
• 10:07
Speaker 7: out their energy supply. All of those big plants that
• 10:11
Speaker 7: they built, big beautiful modern plants, had a lot of money.
• 10:14
Speaker 7: They don't have any money now.
• 10:16
Speaker 2: We haven't given them any money.
• 10:18
Speaker 7: But we can knock out their electricity and power generating plants.
• 10:23
Speaker 7: And I would say a small part of an afternoon,
• 10:28
Speaker 7: every plant will be gone.
• 10:30
Speaker 4: And they know that, the President saying that from the
• 10:32
Speaker 4: Oval Office. Well, just twenty four hours after that, President
• 10:36
Speaker 4: Trump has ordered a new round of US military strikes
• 10:39
Speaker 4: against Iran. Why because Iranian forces, well, they decided to
• 10:44
Speaker 4: go after shipping commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz,
• 10:48
Speaker 4: one of the most strategic and important waterways on the planet. Now,
• 10:52
Speaker 4: at the same time, the Trump administration is also reversed
• 10:55
Speaker 4: course on sanctions relief. They have instantly reimposed restrictions on
• 11:00
Speaker 4: Iranian oil exports and what officials described as a direct
• 11:04
Speaker 4: response to Tehran's actions. Now, the strait is the world's
• 11:09
Speaker 4: most critical oil choke point, and it's extremely important to Iran.
• 11:14
Speaker 4: Roughly one fifth of the global traded oil moves through
• 11:17
Speaker 4: the narrow stretch of water, and when Iran threatens or
• 11:20
Speaker 4: attacks ships there, it's not simply a regional issue. It
• 11:23
Speaker 4: has the potential and does in fact affect energy markets,
• 11:27
Speaker 4: gasoline prices, inflation, and the global economy. Now, according to
• 11:32
Speaker 4: US officials, Iranian forces attacked multiple commercial vessels, including oil
• 11:38
Speaker 4: and liquid natural gas tankers, using projectiles near the Strait
• 11:43
Speaker 4: of Hormuz, and in response, the President went back to
• 11:47
Speaker 4: maximum pressure strategy. He authorized a significantly expanded military operation.
• 11:54
Speaker 4: US forces reportedly struck more than eighty Iranian military targets,
• 11:58
Speaker 4: including missile launch sites, command and control facilities, surveillance systems,
• 12:04
Speaker 4: and dozens of fast attack boats believed to have been
• 12:07
Speaker 4: involved in threatening the shipping channel. Now, the administration says
• 12:11
Speaker 4: these were defensive strikes designed to restore freedom of navigation
• 12:15
Speaker 4: and deter traditional attacks, not the beginning of a broader war.
• 12:20
Speaker 4: US officials have continued to say they remain open to
• 12:23
Speaker 4: negotiations even while responding militarily, because again, this is peace
• 12:28
Speaker 4: through strength. Now, the second major move may have just
• 12:32
Speaker 4: as much long term significance as well, the Trump administration
• 12:36
Speaker 4: revoking the temporary authorization that it allowed Iran to legally
• 12:40
Speaker 4: sell oil under the recent diplomatic understanding between Washington and Tehran.
• 12:47
Speaker 4: Treasury officials say Iran's attacks on commercial shipping made continuation
• 12:52
Speaker 4: of those waivers unacceptable. The wine down period for Ranian
• 12:56
Speaker 4: oil sales has been dramatically shortened, as well, off the
• 13:00
Speaker 4: key source of revenue for the Iranian government that they
• 13:03
Speaker 4: desperately need, and that is significant because oil exports are
• 13:07
Speaker 4: the financial lifeblood of Iran's economy. The administration's message appears
• 13:13
Speaker 4: to be well yet again straightforward. If Iran attacks international shipping,
• 13:19
Speaker 4: it will not simultaneously receive economic relief from the United
• 13:22
Speaker 4: States of America. Iran, meanwhile, is also doing what they
• 13:26
Speaker 4: do well as a terrorist country, accusing Washington of violating
• 13:30
Speaker 4: them recent memory of understanding that had temporarily reduced tensions.
• 13:35
Speaker 4: Iranian officials argued the US strikes and renewed sanctions represent
• 13:39
Speaker 4: breaches to that agreement. Now US officials contend it was
• 13:43
Speaker 4: I Ran that first violated the understanding by literally attacking
• 13:47
Speaker 4: commercial vessels and actually giving warnings on the radio to
• 13:52
Speaker 4: multiple ships that you either stop and turn around or
• 13:55
Speaker 4: you will be attacked. Now, the financial markets, they're also
• 13:59
Speaker 4: reacting immediately. Oil prices have jumped more than five percent
• 14:04
Speaker 4: as traders worried about additional instability in the Persian Gulf,
• 14:07
Speaker 4: and investors understand that any prolonged disruption in the Strait
• 14:11
Speaker 4: could also have worldwide consequences for energy markets and energy supplies.
• 14:17
Speaker 4: The broader question now is whether this has become another
• 14:20
Speaker 4: short lived military exchange or the beginning of another dangerous
• 14:24
Speaker 4: cycle of retaliation. Iran has already come out at this
• 14:28
Speaker 4: hour condemning the strikes and warned of major consequences. The
• 14:32
Speaker 4: United States says it remains prepared to defend American forces
• 14:37
Speaker 4: and international shipping if additional attacks occur. So that's where
• 14:41
Speaker 4: we are right now. President Trump has responded to the
• 14:44
Speaker 4: attacks on commercial shipping with both military force and renewed
• 14:48
Speaker 4: economic pressure. The President clearly saying exactly what he said
• 14:53
Speaker 4: days in advance and actually sticking to those words, showing
• 14:57
Speaker 4: peace but also military strength when he needs to.
