- 2:54Fire Department is now better equipped to care
- 2:56for animals affected by smoke exposure thanks
- 2:59to a generous donation of pet oxygen masks from
- 3:03local veterinarian Dr. Lauren Atkins and Natasha
- 3:06Quinones of Paws Finding Peace. These masks,
- 3:10which can be attached to existing oxygen tanks,
- 3:13come in various sizes to accommodate pets ranging
- 3:16from hamsters to Great Danes. Atkins, who has
- 3:20been a veterinarian since 2007, emphasized the
- 3:24importance of serving the community through her
- 3:26practice, which frequently donates veterinary
- 3:28equipment. This initiative was made possible
- 3:31through a partnership with Massachusetts Veterinary
- 3:34Medical Association Charities, which helps identify
- 3:37towns needing these essential supplies. Now on
- 3:46to sports. Lionel Messi could have ended all
- 3:50debate over who is the greatest player of all
- 3:52time by winning another World Cup with Argentina
- 3:55on Sunday, but he was left in tears following
- 3:58Spain's 1 -0 win. Messi, now 39, dragged the
- 4:03holders to another final, scoring eight goals
- 4:06and providing two assists in the dramatically
- 4:09comeback against England in the semi -finals.
- 4:12However, the dream of lifting the trophy again
- 4:15ultimately proved too good to be true. 10 -man
- 4:19Argentina struggled and faced a huge challenge
- 4:23when Enzo Fernandes was sent off in stoppage
- 4:25time. Messi touched the ball only 54 times and
- 4:30never looked like scoring. He became only the
- 4:33second player to appear in three World Cup finals,
- 4:36matching the achievement of Brazil Great Café
- 4:39in local sports. The Red Sox are on an absolute
- 4:43tear. They completed a sweep of Tampa Bay yesterday,
- 4:48winning 6 -1 behind Sonny Gray's brilliant outing,
- 4:52and are now riding a 13 -game winning streak,
- 4:55second longest in franchise history. Wilson Contreras
- 4:59homered and drove in two runs as Boston stayed
- 5:02hot. Tonight they host Baltimore at Fenway to
- 5:06open a three -game series with first pitch at
- 5:097 -10. The Orioles arrive on their own seven
- 5:13-game winning streak, so something's got to give
- 5:16in what shapes up as a crucial AL East matchup.
- 5:20Both teams are chasing the Yankees and Rays,
- 5:23and whoever takes this series grabs major momentum
- 5:26heading into the stretch run. Meanwhile, the
- 5:30Bruins announced a historic moment. The team
- 5:33will retire Patras Bergeron's number 37 on December
- 5:371st, before the game against Colorado. Bergeron
- 5:42spent his entire 19 -season career with Boston,
- 5:46captained the team, and won the Stanley Cup in
- 5:492011. That ceremony will be one of the marquee
- 5:53events at the Garden this December. Over on the
- 5:56gridiron, the Patriots training camp gets rolling
- 5:59this week. Veteran players report Friday with
- 6:03the first public practice, Saturday at 10 .30.
- 6:06The first time that's happened on a Saturday,
- 6:09since the team moved camp to Gillette Stadium
- 6:1224 years ago. Drake May's been working with A
- 6:16.G. Brown, and owner Robert Kraft gave his full
- 6:20backing to head coach Mike Frable, calling May
- 6:23really special. In top news, Josh Kerr of Britain
- 6:29breaks the men's mile world record that stood
- 6:32since 1999. On Saturday, Kerr ran the mile in
- 6:37three minutes. 42 .66 seconds, breaking the 27
- 6:41-year -old record set by H .M .L. Garridge. Kerr
- 6:45celebrated with a lap of honor at London Stadium.
- 6:49He stated, It was just me, my shoes and the track.
- 6:54Finishing more than three seconds ahead of second
- 6:56-place Yerd Nuguz, Kerr expressed that the crowd
- 6:59support was just incredible. With his previous
- 7:03best time at three minutes, 45 .34 seconds, Kara
- 7:08made the mile his key target. In business news,
- 7:14World Cup champion Spain just won 50 million
- 7:16dollars and the Internal Revenue Service gets
- 7:19a cut. The statement, it does not make a difference
- 7:23who wins the game, highlights that the Internal
- 7:26Revenue Service will get a piece. The World Cup
- 7:29is the globe's largest sporting event and this
- 7:32time it is also a major tax event for the Internal
- 7:35Revenue Service. Even before Sunday's championship
- 7:39match between Spain and Argentina, there were

- 9:04accusing the AI company of a pattern of misconduct
- 9:07aimed at getting current and former Apple employees
- 9:10to share confidential information. In response,
- 9:14OpenAI stated it is not aware of any evidence
- 9:17that this complaint has merit. On a recent episode
- 9:21of TechCrunch's Equity podcast, the host debated
- 9:24whether this lawsuit will impact OpenAI's plans
- 9:27to enter the hardware business. OpenAI's potential
- 9:31mobile smart speaker is at stake. and delays
- 9:34could arise from the lawsuit. With OpenAI's initial
- 9:38public offering on the horizon, the implications
