- 0:15Speaker 1: 31 Dear Lord, I know that you care just as
- 0:19Speaker 1: much about the why as you do the what. You
- 0:24Speaker 1: care about why I do things just as much as
- 0:28Speaker 1: what I do. Lord, I pray that you would daily
- 0:33Speaker 1: transform my heart so that everything I do, whether it
- 0:38Speaker 1: be eating, playing, or working, would be done for your glory.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I want every step I take to honor you. Inform
- 0:50Speaker 1: my heart through your word. and empower me through your Spirit.
- 0:57Speaker 1: In Jesus' name, amen. Thank you for joining me in prayer.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Stay tuned for today's free podcast, Meditative Prayers with Zach Clinton,
- 1:08Speaker 1: where you can draw close to God and find strength
- 1:11Speaker 1: in Him.
- 1:15Speaker 2: My friends, welcome to your meditative prayer on enjoying life.
- 1:18Speaker 2: To get the most out of your spiritual journey, use
- 1:20Speaker 2: Pray.com every day and make prayer possible. a priority in
- 1:23Speaker 2: your life. Again, our goal for today's meditative prayer is
- 1:26Speaker 2: all about enjoying life. So take a minute now just
- 1:29Speaker 2: to find a quiet and comfortable place, a place where
- 1:33Speaker 2: you can slow down and lean into this moment of reflection.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Close your eyes, breathe easy, and now turn your heart
- 1:43Speaker 2: and fix your attention to what God has for you.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Hear what the Holy Spirit has for you today. Today
- 1:51Speaker 2: we'll be meditating on 1 Peter 3 verses 8 through
- 1:54Speaker 2: 12 from the King James Version. They read, Finally, all
- 1:58Speaker 2: of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, and
- 2:02Speaker 2: be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil
- 2:05Speaker 2: or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing,
- 2:10Speaker 2: because to this you were called so that you may
- 2:12Speaker 2: inherit a blessing. For whoever would love life and see
- 2:16Speaker 2: good days must keep their tongue from evil and their
- 2:19Speaker 2: lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and
- 2:23Speaker 2: do good. They must seek peace and pursue it. For
- 2:27Speaker 2: the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and
- 2:29Speaker 2: his ears are attentive to their prayer. But the face
- 2:32Speaker 2: of the Lord is against those who do evil. My friends,
- 2:37Speaker 2: right now, let us just take the time to adore God. Jesus,
- 2:41Speaker 2: I praise you. for you are the perfect example to
- 2:44Speaker 2: us here on earth. You are all good, all peace,
- 2:49Speaker 2: and all righteousness. I praise you, Jesus, for you alone
- 2:52Speaker 2: conquered sin and paid its price. I extol you, God,
- 2:57Speaker 2: for you prepared your plans and purposes for me before
- 3:00Speaker 2: I was born. You reserved special works for me to
- 3:03Speaker 2: do on the earth. You are a faithful God and
- 3:07Speaker 2: you fulfill all your promises to me. So right now
- 3:10Speaker 2: I worship you For you sent the living word ahead
- 3:13Speaker 2: of me, Jesus, the Prince of Peace, that I might
- 3:17Speaker 2: see your goodness in the land of the living. The
- 3:20Speaker 2: two words we want to focus on today are purpose
- 3:24Speaker 2: and pledge. You see, God has given you an identity
- 3:27Speaker 2: and a purpose. You were put on this earth with
- 3:30Speaker 2: a specific calling, with works prepared ahead of you. And
- 3:34Speaker 2: God has special things prepared just for you to do.
- 3:38Speaker 2: God has promised you will have peace and and a
- 3:40Speaker 2: good life if you love him and follow his commandments.
- 3:45Speaker 2: For his ways are good, and all his paths are peace.
- 3:48Speaker 2: His law is in place for our well-being, to show
- 3:51Speaker 2: us what is right and healthy for us. God's commandments
- 3:56Speaker 2: are to be a blessing to us, and God's eyes
- 3:59Speaker 2: go to and fro throughout the earth, searching out those
- 4:02Speaker 2: who follow his words. When we trust God's words over
- 4:06Speaker 2: our own, God hears our prayers. So right now in
- 4:10Speaker 2: this moment, my friends, draw near to him and confess
- 4:13Speaker 2: your sins and inherit the blessing that God has for you.
- 4:21Speaker 2: And right now, let us take the time just to
- 4:24Speaker 2: thank God for his purposes and plans. Thank him for
- 4:28Speaker 2: giving you his word and access to the path of righteousness.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Thank Jesus that he formed each one of your days
- 4:35Speaker 2: before you exist in. Give thanks to God for hearing
- 4:39Speaker 2: your prayers and for sending his blessing on your life.
- 4:44Speaker 2: You see, God is present and he is listening to you.
- 4:48Speaker 2: He has determined your identity and written out your life
- 4:51Speaker 2: in his book. God is closer to you than you think.
- 4:56Speaker 2: So right now, this is your moment to reach out
- 4:58Speaker 2: to him. Ask God to reveal his plans to you,
- 5:02Speaker 2: to help you be obedient to them. Ask him for
- 5:05Speaker 2: the ability to keep his commandments Ask the Holy Spirit
- 5:09Speaker 2: to help you shun evil, do good, and seek peace.
- 5:15Speaker 2: And ask him to fill your heart with the promise
- 5:17Speaker 2: and assurance of the future to come. Remember, you should
- 5:22Speaker 2: endeavor to live in peace with others, to love them,
- 5:25Speaker 2: to be kind, and to be humble. For the Lord
- 5:28Speaker 2: sees those who do his commandments and looks to bless them.
- 5:32Speaker 2: God has made you to be uniquely you, my friend.
- 5:36Speaker 2: So trust in God and walk in the identity, the calling,
- 5:40Speaker 2: and the works that he has created for you. As always,
