- Lucas: Välkommen tillbaka, allihopa. This is Learn Swedish with Fexingo, episode 75. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Lucas, I'm so excited about today's topic. I've been wanting to go to a museum here, but I don't know the Swedish for it. Lucas: That's perfect, because today we're learning phrases for visiting a museum. Imagine you're at the ticket counter. What do you say first? Luna: Umm... 'How much is the ticket?' I think I know 'hur mycket' from previous episodes. Lucas: Exactly. 'Hur mycket kostar biljetten?' Let's break it down. 'Hur mycket' means 'how much', 'kostar' means 'costs', and 'biljetten' is 'the ticket'. So: Hur mycket kostar biljetten? Luna: Hur mycket kostar biljetten? Lucas: Good. Now a common follow-up: 'Vilka tider har ni öppet?' That means 'What times are you open?' 'Vilka tider' — 'what times', 'har ni' — 'do you have', 'öppet' — 'open'. Vilka tider har ni öppet? Luna: Vilka tider har ni öppet? Lucas: Perfect. Now, you're inside. You want to find a specific exhibit. You can ask: 'Var är utställningen?' — 'Where is the exhibition?' 'Var är' is 'where is', 'utställningen' is 'the exhibition'. Var är utställningen? Luna: Var är utställningen? Lucas: And if you want to see art specifically: 'Jag vill se konst.' — 'I want to see art.' 'Jag vill se' — 'I want to see', 'konst' — 'art'. Jag vill se konst. Luna: Jag vill se konst. That's easy. But what if I want to take photos? I've seen people with cameras. Lucas: Good question. You can ask: 'Kan jag ta kort?' — 'Can I take a photo?' 'Kan jag' — 'can I', 'ta' — 'take', 'kort' — 'photo' or 'picture'. Kan jag ta kort? Luna: Kan jag ta kort? Lucas: Exactly. Now, you know when you go to a museum, sometimes they have free entry on certain days. So asking about that is useful. But let's stick to these five phrases today. Let's practice all of them together. First, Hur mycket kostar biljetten? Luna: Hur mycket kostar biljetten? Lucas: Vilka tider har ni öppet? Luna: Vilka tider har ni öppet? Lucas: Var är utställningen? Luna: Var är utställningen? Lucas: Jag vill se konst. Luna: Jag vill se konst. Lucas: Kan jag ta kort? Luna: Kan jag ta kort? Lucas: You're doing great. Now, let's imagine a little scene. You're at the museum entrance. You walk up to the counter. What do you say? Luna: Hej! Hur mycket kostar biljetten? Lucas: The person says, 'Hundra kronor.' And then you ask about opening hours? But you already know they're open, so maybe you ask about the exhibition instead. Luna: Okay. Var är utställningen? Lucas: They point and say 'Där borta.' You walk in and see beautiful paintings. You say, 'Jag vill se konst.' And you pull out your camera and ask, 'Kan jag ta kort?' The guard says, 'Ja, det går bra.' Perfect. Luna: Ohh, I love that. I can already imagine myself there. Lucas: If Fexingo has been helping you make actual progress with Swedish, you might appreciate that we deliberately don't run ads on these episodes. Remember, these phrases will work in any museum in Sweden. Let's do a quick review. Repeat after me: Hur mycket kostar biljetten? Luna: Hur mycket kostar biljetten? Lucas: Vilka tider har ni öppet? Luna: Vilka tider har ni öppet? Lucas: Var är utställningen? Luna: Var är utställningen? Lucas: Jag vill se konst. Luna: Jag vill se konst. Lucas: Kan jag ta kort? Luna: Kan jag ta kort? Lucas: Tack för att du lyssnade, and remember to practice these phrases. Vi ses nästa gång! Luna: Hej då!
