- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's pray and we'll get started.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Father God, thank you so much.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: We thank you for this church.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: We thank you for the Word of God and how much we can learn from it.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: And Father, I just pray that you would quicken our thoughts to grasp all the things that you want us to grasp tonight.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: And we just invite you, Holy Spirit, to come and manifest yourself here amongst us and in our discussion and just in every way possible, Lord.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: We love you and we thank you for this time.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: In Jesus' name, amen.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm so glad you're here.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: There is a poignant scene that takes place after Jesus' baptism and his temptation when he went back to Nazareth and he goes to the synagogue.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: I love this portion of scripture.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: It's found in Luke chapter 4.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written, The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: He began by saying, saying to them, Today, today, this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: Love, love, love that.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Now, Jesus was quoting from Isaiah chapter 61.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: And there's some things that he left out.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Isaiah 61, to says to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of the vengeance of our God.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: That's the part that he left off.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: How cool is that?
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: It's so interesting because he stopped with the year of the Lord's favor.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: Why did he do that and not mention the day of vengeance?
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Because it was the day of grace, the day of God's favor during this church age.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: And that's what he was coming to do was to set the captives free to proclaim the good news.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: All of that, and all of that is what he did.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: The day of grace had come, but the day of vengeance was going to come.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: There is another poignant scene that takes place this time in heaven.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: And we read about it in Revelation 5, 6 and 7.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: Then I saw a lamb looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: He went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: I watched as the lamb opened the first of the seven seals.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: So another scroll is handed to Jesus.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: And this time it introduces the day of vengeance of our God.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Tonight we're going to look at the seals and the first half of the tribulation.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Let me mention that on your sheet, your hand, your homework, is about the Antichrist, the false prophet, and I hope that you can do that because I'm not going to go into it a lot next week because there's so much for us to see.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: So try to do your homework if you can.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: Before we get into those seals, though, I want to give some structure and give some information about the book of Revelation.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: A key to unlocking the book of Revelation is to understand that the main theme of the book is the second coming of Christ and the events that immediately precede and follow it.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: The word revelation is apocalyptic, however you say that, which means to unveil, uncover, or disclose something that was hidden.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: The purpose of this book is to reveal, uncover, or take the lid off of the future events.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Revelation 1.7 gives the theme of the book.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: So shall it be.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: And then Revelation 1.19 gives us the divinely inspired outline of the book of Revelation.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: Write therefore what you have seen and what is now and what will take place.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: So it's divided up into these three sections: the things that John had seen, the things that are now, and the things that we're seeing are Revelation 1, verses 9 through 20.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: The things that are now happening is Revelation 2 and 3, and that's the seven churches section.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: And then the things that will take place, that's Revelation 4 through 22, the whole rest of the book.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: The book of Revelation can also be seen in this way, and it's on your sheet as well.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Chapters 1 through 3 is the church age, and there we don't know how many number of years the church age is because it's going to end with the rapture.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: So that is a mystery.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Chapters 4 through 19 is the tribulation, and that's seven years.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Chapter 20 is the kingdom age, and that's a thousand years, the millennial reign.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: And then chapters 21 and 22 is the eternal age and it's endless years.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: The book of Revelation is really hard to understand, right?
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: How many of you have it have it figured out?
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Me neither.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: Me neither.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: But I'm learning a lot.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: But part of the reason it's difficult is because of the way that John, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote it.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Mark Hitchcock, and I love this description, and I think this is really important.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: He says there are two key patterns to pay attention to in Revelation.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: John structures the book to alternate back and forth.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: Like a long play, Revelation progresses and then it pauses for an intermission.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: Then it progresses some more and then it pauses for another intermission.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: And also like a play, Revelation switches scenes, alternating between heaven and then on earth.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: And understanding that alternating pattern helps us make sense out of what we're reading.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: You see, the scene on earth, that's the first three chapters, and then a scene in heaven, and then the scene in earth, and then the scene in heaven, and then the scene in earth, and then the scene in heaven, and then the scene in earth on earth.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: And it goes back and forth like that.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: How crazy.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: So you're just like, where am I now?
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: I kind of like how I feel like whenever I read through the prophet.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: But Revelation chapter six starts telling the story in order of the seals as the seals are open.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: So it's Revelation chapter six starts the story.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: But soon there is an intermission between the sixth and the seventh seals to fill in some information.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: The main action returns in Revelation 8 and 9 with the seventh seal, which contains the seven trumpets, then, because that's when that starts.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: Then there is another intermission between the sixth and seventh trumpet with more fill-in information from chapters 10 through 15.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: Then the main action resumes in chapter 16 with the seven bold judgments, which we're going to look at the trumpets and the bold judgments next week.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: And then there's one final intermission describing the destruction of Babylon in chapters 17 and 18.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: And then the main action restarts with the second coming and the millennial kingdom.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: So that's that's kind of how it's laid out.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: So if you get lost, come back to these notes and go, oh yeah, that's what's going on, maybe.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: I mean.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: But this alternating pattern, and this is also on your sheet, reassures us that the chaos that is being experienced on earth is being controlled in heaven.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: God is on his throne and he is superintending all that is happening on earth.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: And that's the takeaway from all of that.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: The tribulation will be that terrifying period of seven years when God pours out his wrath on the rebellious and unbelieving people.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: Now that may sound harsh, right?
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: As he heaps these catastrophes on innocent men and women, but we have to remember once again, they have already rejected Christ, and therefore they are not completely innocent.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: There will be innocent people who will suffer during the tribulation.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Absolutely for sure there will be.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: But they have already rejected him, and they are probably following that world system or the new world order or Satan.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: Basically, they're following Satan at this time.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: And they're either doing it through ignorance because they just don't know, or outright rebellion, which we know that there's a lot of that that goes on in the tribulation.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: The worldwide chaos during the tribulation will be used and may even be designed by God to wake people up, to shake them enough, to get them awake, and to get them from to stop trusting in their false sense of security, because it really that's what it will be.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: And they may, it may be what causes them to look to him for deliverance.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: That's what he wants.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: You know, it's it it reminds us of Noah.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: You know, Noah's building the ark for 120 years, and he's employ he's begging people to come into the ark.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: And when God shuts the door, it's over.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like that.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: And that's what he wants in the the outcome for the tribulation, and we're gonna see that more clearly next week.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: But but that is important.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: Many will turn to him and be saved during that time.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: And for some, this time of distress is going to make them angry with God because they've probably already been angry with God.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: So they'll just be angrier with him and make them even more rebellious.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: For some, it will lead them to repentance.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: And the choice is theirs.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: The choice is ours now, and during the tribulation, the choice will be theirs.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: Do they see everything that's going on and make it turn to God or does it harden their hearts even more?
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: It's a time of terrifying judgments and the wrath of God, but it's also a time of long-suffering grace and mercy.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: That's people are going to experience that from God during this time.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: And only God can hold those two extremes in balance, the great long-suffering grace and mercy and the wrath.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: He can do that, and that's what he does during this time.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: Amir Safari says the tribulation is for Israel's salvation.
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: And that's also what we have to keep in mind here.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: Others will come to Christ, of course, but it primarily it is for Israel, like we've seen each week.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: Things are bad now, and they have been bad for the last two years, probably way longer, but they are bad now.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: But they are nothing compared to what it's going to be like during the tribulation.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: There is nothing to compare it from the past nor the future.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: It will stand alone in how terrible it is.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: Jesus told us that we would see wars and rumors of wars, right?
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: Earthquakes, natural disasters, etc., etc.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: What he's told us in Matthew 24 and in Luke 21.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: But things are bad, but they will get worse.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: George Eldon Ladd says all of history is moving toward this grand climax, the kingdom of God on earth.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: That's what revelation is all about.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: Christ coming to inherit the kingdom.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: Revelation shows us that all of history is under God's control, that history is headed somewhere, that it is all tied to the person and work of Jesus Christ.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: Apart from the person and redeeming work of Jesus Christ, history is an enigma.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: Christ and Christ alone is the key to the meaning of human history.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: Apart from the victorious return of Christ, history is going nowhere.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: And going nowhere fast, right?
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: Jesus referred to this first three and a half years as birth pains.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: We saw that in Matthew 24, verse 8.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: And the events described before that midpoint of the tribulation are the seal judgments, and that's what we're going to look at now.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: But first, let's look at the heavenly vision.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: This was on your homework last week.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: You looked at this.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: And in and it was a glimpse into the throne room of God.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Revelation 4.1.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: Where's that door?
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: In heaven.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: It's standing open in heaven.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, Come up here, and I will show you what must take place.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: So John is transported from earth to heaven, to the throne room of God, and he sees many things, but one of the most significant things that he sees is the transfer of the seven-sealed scroll, which is handed from God the Father to God the Son.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: Chuck Swindah says, Only one person in heaven and earth was found worthy to take that scroll, to open its seals, and to begin the step-by-step process of snatching control of the world from evil and forever vanquishing sin and death in Jesus Christ.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: The steps necessary for preparing the world for his kingdom on earth, however, involve a period of unparalleled judgments.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: So these chapters, chapter four and five, form the backdrop of everything else that happens.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: And I'm it's so gracious of God to give us this view of the throne room and to see where this is coming from.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: It introduces all the things that we see from here on out.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: So the seven sealed scroll.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: I said that, okay.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: These Roman documents were sealed with six seals, each of which bore the name of the sealer.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Only the sealer could open the document.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: And then Mark Hitchcock says, The scroll must be opened for the Son to receive his inheritance from the Father.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: After the scroll is completely opened, Jesus takes the throne.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: The kingdom is now his.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: This sealed scroll represents the messianic kingdom that was promised in the Old Testament in Psalm 2.8 and Daniel 7.14.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: By receiving the scroll, Jesus is receiving his inheritance to be the king over his kingdom.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: Isn't that cool?
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: If the scroll is not opened, then there is no protection for God's children in the hours of bitter trial, no judgment upon a persecuting world, no ultimate triumph for believers, no heaven and earth, no future inheritance.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: So we see how important this scroll is.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: This is his inheritance.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: So first, the first seal.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: The first seal is the rider on the white horse.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: Revelation 6, 1 and 2.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: I watched as the lamb opened the first of the seven seals.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, Come, I looked, and there before me was a white horse.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: So the lamb, who looked like it had been slain, is the one who opens the seals.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: And of course, that's Jesus, right?
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: The judgments which are coming upon the earth during the tribulation are his doing.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: This is the judgment of the Lamb.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Since Jesus is the one who is opening the seals, it doesn't make sense that he's also the rider on the white horse, right?
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: We know he comes as on the white horse at the end at the second coming.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: But that is not who this is now.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: Since evil is associated with each one of these horses, we have to assume that the rider on the white horse is the Antichrist.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: And remember, the tribulation begins after the signing of the seven-year peace treaty with Israel.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: And so that has taken place at this point.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: Daniel 9, 26 explains that.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: Sorry, let me get to that.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: He will confirm a covenant with many for one seven.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: In the middle of the seven, he will put an end to sacrifice and offering.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: So this world leader who will become the Antichrist is the one making this peace covenant agreement.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: And in the midst of global upheaval and of turmoil, he comes on the scene as a man of peace.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: He's going to fix the world's problems.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: That's probably how he's going to put it.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: And he is the rider on the white horse.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: So he comes first as peace, as a peaceful man.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: Don Stewart said, This man is a wicked parody of Jesus.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: In other words, he will mimic Christ in a number of evil ways.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: In addition, though, this beast will establish a worldwide rule by force.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: He will first appear on the stage of history as a man of peace.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: This rider on the white horse will be the ultimate pretender.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Indeed, he will be a man of peace who turns out to be a horrible monster.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: And then Mark Hitchcock says, he wears a victor's crown and has a bow but no arrows.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: This indicates he wins a bloodless victory at the beginning of his career, at the beginning of that seven years.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: Antichrist is able to gain victory through diplomacy and peaceful negotiations.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: And that's how the tribulation starts.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: The second seal is a fiery red horse, and it represents war upon the earth.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Revelation 6, 3 and 4.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, Come.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: Then another horse came out, a fiery red one.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: To him was given a large sword.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: This sword represents death.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: Something that will happen, and something's going to happen that will cause people to want to kill each other.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: We don't know what that is, but Jesus even warned that that would happen, right?
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: In Matthew 24, 6 and 7, he said, You will hear of wars and rumors of wars.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: Make sure you are not alarmed, for this must happen, but the end is still to come, for nation will rise up in arms against nation and the and kingdom against kingdom.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Boy, do we need to hear that right now.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: It's hard not to be alarmed.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: It's very hard to not be alarmed right now with everything that has happened.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: And I'm so glad that Jesus addressed this for us.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: He wanted us to be aware so that we could prepare.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: He wants us to be, he doesn't want us to get gut punched and and and and go, oh my gosh, what just happened?
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: He's told us so that we can prepare.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: And how should we prepare?
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: By making sure that we are leaning into him and grounding ourselves in him more than we ever, ever, ever have before.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: That's how we prepare for what's in the future for us.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: And that's what he wanted us to do.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: He's able to give us peace and comfort and perspective that we are going to desperately need during this time and moving forward.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: But do not be alarmed.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: Make sure that you're not alarmed.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: These things are going to happen, and they are a sign of the end times.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: The third seal is a black horse, and it represents famine.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: Revelation 6, 5 and 6.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, Come, I looked, and there before me was a black horse.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures saying, Two pounds of wheat for a day's wages and six pounds of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: These scales could represent several things, but I think they they represent famine and inflation.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: And this inflation-induced famine will be worldwide.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: Everyone is going to experience this.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: And we very well could be seeing the beginning of it, even right now.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: And again, Jesus told us in Matthew 24 that there would be famines that would come on the earth.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: Just an aside, food is as cheap as it is probably going to get.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: And so stock up on some food.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: Because if inflation keeps going up and up and up, get it now.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: The fourth seal, a pale horse.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: And it represents death in Hades.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: Revelation 6, 7 and 8.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: When the lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, Come.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: I looked, and there before me was a pale horse.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine, and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: This pale horse has a greenish, pale green appearance, kind of like a human corpse or zombies.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: Whatever.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: Just throwing that out there.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: Sonic Light says, God gave death and Hades authority to take one-fourth of the world's population.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: This evidently is the total number that will die as a result of all of these catastrophes that are predicted so far.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: So just the just up to this point.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: These catastrophes are war, the resulting famine and disease, traditional disasters that follow divine judgment, attacks by wild beasts, which I don't understand that one, but it talks about it, is also going to contribute to the death rate.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: And presently the world's population is at 7.9 billion people, and these calamities will reduce the population by one and a half billion people.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: Just this one.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: But then we know later on there's even more.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you know this, but the World Economic Forum, which is basically the New World Order, has on their goal, as their goal, to significantly reduce the number of people on the planet.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: It is absolutely written in their books.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: You can read it, you can see it.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: And if you don't know what I'm talking about, then I encourage you to research it and look at Klaus Schwab and what he's written and what the World Economic Forum is doing, because it's absolutely one of their agendas is to depopulate and use eugenics to do it.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: I believe that that organization and others like it is part of the reason that this judgment is going to come from God.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: What was the organization?
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: World Economic Forum.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: WEF.
- 26:43SPEAKER_00: The fifth seal are the souls under the altar.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: Revelation 6, 9 through 11.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: They called out in a loud voice, How long, sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed, just as they had been.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: These souls under the altar are evidently those who have come to faith during this first part of the tribulation after the rapture.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: And they have been martyred for their faith in Jesus during that first half.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: That's who this represents.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: And some believe that they will be Jewish martyrs, which makes a whole lot of sense.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: Jesus warned that this would happen to those living in this time.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: Matthew 24, verse 9 says, Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: What are these souls asking for?
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: What are they asking God for?
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: To avenge, to avenge their blood.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: Remember how we we talked in the past about our desire to see God bring justice and judgment on these people who are doing incredibly wicked things all around the world.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: It's that kind of request that they are making, but it's a much huger ask because they have been martyred for their faith.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: They have lost their lives.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: And they've been faithful unto death.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: And that is exactly what God is doing in the tribulation.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: He is avenging their blood.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: And remember what we saw in Isaiah 61, that Jesus is coming and that day of vengeance is what we're seeing in tribulation.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: Why did they have to wait a little longer until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed, just like they were?
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: This is so hard to hear, isn't it?
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: More people would experience martyrdom and join them there under the altar.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: He's giving them rest from all of that.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: They are resting from all that's that's happened, and he's going to judge.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: But we have to understand that he will avenge their blood.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: He will absolutely avenge their blood.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: It's interesting that John did not see the resurrected bodies of these martyrs because God had not resurrected them yet, which is also why they have to wait a little longer, because after he comes at the second coming, then will be the resurrection of the Jew, of the Old Testament Jews and the tribulation Jews or believers.
- 29:57SPEAKER_00: The sixth seal is cosmic upheaval.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: Revelation 6, 12 through 14.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: I watched as he opened the sixth seal.
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: There was a great earthquake, the sun turned black like sackcloth, made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: The heavens receded like a scroll, being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves, and among the rocks of the mountains they called to the mountains and the rocks, fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sets on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: So this earthquake is going to shake the entire world.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: I imagine that all those Teutonic plates are just going to be shifting and going crazy.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine the tsunamis and everything else that's going to happen because of that?
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: It it'll um and then and then it'll feel like everything is coming apart, and then you look up in the sky and you see everything dropping.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: It's gonna feel like everything is just coming apart at the seams.
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: How incredibly terrifying this is gonna be.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: Sonic Light says, the reaction of every category of humanity all over the world is amazing.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: They hid themselves in caves and mountains.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: It indicates that the unbelieving people's perception of God, Him who sets on the throne and the wrath of the Lamb in heaven, will be far more terrifying to them than the physical consequences of this judgment.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: Whereas the martyrs cry, avenge us, the unbelievers will cry, hide us, hide us from Him.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: Everyone will not only know that it is a divine judgment, but they will act like it by seeking death in order to hide from God.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: Not just to escape from these calamities.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: The judgments of the sixth seal appear to be a foreshadowing of the similar but even greater judgments that will come at the end of the tribulation, just before Jesus Christ returns to the earth.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: So the people are experiencing this.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: They will want to die.
- 32:25SPEAKER_00: They will not want to keep living.
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: The seventh seal is silence in heaven.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: And this seal is so ominous.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: Revelation 8, 1 and 2.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: So it's at this point then that the seven trumpets comes into play.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: But the seventh seal is different than the other ones, because it has no content of its own.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: Instead, it introduces us to another group of judgments, the trumpets, and others in the second half of the tribulation.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: Mark Hitchcock says, Up to this point the mood in heaven has been that of shouting and playing of harps.
- 33:16SPEAKER_00: Suddenly it all changes dramatically with the opening of the seventh seal.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: As Bible commentator Earl Palmer says, it is the silence of mystery and intense waiting.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: There is communicated in a very dramatic way in this quietness the full and awesome authority of God.
- 33:34SPEAKER_00: Everything must wait for his kingly move.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: Everything is on hold, pausing for what comes next.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: The next kingly move occurs when seven angels are given seven trumpets to sound.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: This response in heaven is breathless anticipation of what's coming, a holy hush before all hell breaks loose on earth.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: Can you even imagine?
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: John MacArthur says, After all the loudness, as the full fury of the final judgment is about to be released, silent silence falls on the heavenly scene.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: The implication is that when the judgment about to happen becomes visible as the seventh seal is broken and the scroll is fully unrolled, both the redeemed and the angels are reduced to silence in anticipation of the grim reality of the destruction they see written on the scroll.
- 34:33SPEAKER_00: It is the silence of foreboding, the intense expectation of awe that God is about what God is about to do.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: So they see it unroll and they see what's written on it, and all they can do is stand there in silence.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: Which it seems has also intensified in heaven during this time, right?
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: At this point, the demons and Satan know their time is short, seven years.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: They know that as soon as that treaty is signed, that they only have seven years, and they are bent on doing as much damage as they can possibly do.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: The information on the scroll is for God's angelic host, too, to help them understand what their new what their role is.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: When the seventh seal is opened, Jesus' inheritance is secured.
- 35:35SPEAKER_00: When it's opened, the seventh seal unleashes those seven more judgments.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: The worst is still to come.
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: This sobering realization brings total silence to heaven.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: But all of it is under God's control, right?
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: That's what we need to rest on.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: All of this is under God's control.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: Can we know all the ins and outs of it?
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: No, we cannot.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: We only have this perspective from Scripture, but it's enough to help us realize there is so much horror that's going to come.
- 36:23SPEAKER_00: So let's pray.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: Father God, we just cannot even imagine.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: But we know, Lord, that you will be faithful to those who are your own all the way through this.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: When they stand to be martyred, you will be with them.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: Just as you have been for all time.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: We thank you for that.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: We thank you that we can trust you.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: Lord, you know how easy it is for us to be alarmed about everything that is happening.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: We don't understand it.
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: And we never completely will.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: But we can trust you.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: And you are the only sure foundation in all of this shifting sand, Lord.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: So Jesus, make us more aware of you, make us more focused on you so that we won't be alarmed.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: Give us that peace that passes understanding.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: And just that deep, deep knowing that you are in full control.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: We bless you and thank you for that truth.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: We thank you that you are eternal and that we will live with you forever.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: And we so look forward to that day, Lord Jesus.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: So come snatch your bride away.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: We pray and cry out for that.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: In the name of Jesus, amen.
