- 0:01SPEAKER_00: marketing,
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: and leadership, it's tempting to add a little extra to make our message stronger.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: But when it comes to God's Word, adding,
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: twisting, or trimming it to fit our agenda doesn't strengthen it, it weakens it.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: Today, our focus is Proverbs 30, 5 through 6, because it's the 30th day of the month.

- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Micro to Macro,
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: The Ripple Effect of Influence, written by yours truly and co-author John Kluter.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Well, today's emphasis is Chapter 30 because it's the 30th day of the month.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: So we're focusing on verses 5 through 6 from the CEV translation.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Everything God says is true, and it's a shield for all who come to him for safety.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: Don't change what God has said.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: He will correct you and show that you are a liar.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: You know, it's really tempting to use scripture selectively.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Especially in our workplace and the marketplace.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: And we use it to correct others sometimes or to justify personal objectives
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: without fully understanding the context or honoring its context.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: And sometimes we distort or disobey or deny God's wisdom.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: In his word,
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Proverbs 30,
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: 5 through 6 reminds us that God's word is pure and potent and Regardless
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: of our preferred translation,
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: it doesn't require embellishment or manipulation to achieve results.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Adding to it for selfish purposes only leads to correction.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: And I remind you that I am not here to preach doctrine.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: I'm just sharing how I have used Different verses or particular verses from Proverbs
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: through the years and how I have applied them in my work in interacting with others
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: in the marketplace.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: That brings us to Isaiah 55, 1 through 11.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: It underscores this truth.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: In this passage,
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: God invites all of his children to come and drink from his abundance
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: and Promising his word will accomplish his purpose
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: and bear fruit wherever it is sent.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: I'm a big believer in reading the John Maxwell Leadership Bible.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: I have two versions, the New King James Version and the NIV.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: And John gives commentary on most of the chapters from a leadership perspective,
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: an organizational leadership perspective.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: And John writes,
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: God says that at the rain and snowfall from the sky and do not return
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: without watering the earth,
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: so his word will also accomplish the goals he sets for it.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: God's word will bear fruit.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: I agree with that.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: This is the foundation of of gospel-centered customer success mastery.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: God's word is sufficient to guide and equip us to add significance to others.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: We do not need to alter or embellish it to serve our customers or fulfill our roles
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: as customer success masters.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Instead,
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: we're called to align our communication and actions with the principles found
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: in God's word.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Trusting that it will provide the tools, resources, and outcomes necessary for success.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: I believe God's word always gets results.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: God's word directs our paths when we seek wisdom to serve and add significance to others.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: God's word always provides tools and resources.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: Scripture equips us to meet the needs of those we serve if we just read it and listen.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: And God's word always meets our needs.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: When we align with God's principles, we satisfy our needs.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Our personal, business, and professional needs as well as our customers' needs.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: God's Word always performs His will.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: His Word accomplishes exactly what He intends.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: And God's Word satisfies.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: Those who hear, believe, and accept His Word find fulfillment in peace.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: As gospel-centered customer success masters,
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: we must ask ourselves,
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Do our words build trust, foster relationships, and bear fruit?
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: Or do they create barriers and misrepresent God's intent?
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: we're not to be Bible-thumping,
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: holier-than-thou, King James Version Bible-carrying people in our briefcase.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: We're to model Christ in us.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: And when we model Christ,
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: That in our communication and presentations on the principles of God's word,
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: we serve with integrity and we create a ripple effect of influence,
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: becoming both faithful stewards of the marketplace and the relationships entrusted
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: to us.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Today's customer success code,
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: our words gain power when they align with God's word
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: because his truth is Never needs our spin to succeed.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Lord God, thank you for the purity of your word.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: And forgive me for times that I've twisted or softened it to suit my purpose.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: Teach me to speak with humility, truth, and alignment to your will.
