- 2:28Speaker 3: What condition? Condition?
- 2:43Speaker 2: Welcome everybody that doctor crips natural health hours. It is
- 2:48Speaker 2: the twenty ninth of October. It has blown by unbelievably,
- 2:53Speaker 2: and we actually hit some cool weather this morning. When
- 2:56Speaker 2: I woke up, it was in the fifties and right
- 2:59Speaker 2: now it's probably sixty something outside in the front. I'm
- 3:04Speaker 2: not sure about the back, but I think we hit
- 3:06Speaker 2: about fifty four today, a little cooler. We had some
- 3:10Speaker 2: rain yesterday, so the time has come for Susie to
- 3:16Speaker 2: start cooking those warm soups of herds and chilies. Anyway,
- 3:21Speaker 2: we got Susie, Bill, myself, producer Steve behind the curtain,
- 3:26Speaker 2: and we're all here tonight. Susie and Bill. If you
- 3:28Speaker 2: guys like to say Hello.
- 3:30Speaker 6: Hi, everybody, totty folks.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Here we go and producer Steve as always, the curtain
- 3:39Speaker 2: is open. You're welcome to join in anytime you like.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Well we got tonight. We're talking about aches and pains
- 3:48Speaker 2: and all those things that lead people to taking medicines
- 3:53Speaker 2: they shouldn't and many times leading people to get knee
- 3:59Speaker 2: replaceds and hip replacements, and I've seen shoulder and wrist
- 4:05Speaker 2: and it's just unbelievable what people do. And one of
- 4:10Speaker 2: the saddest that I just saw it today from somebody
- 4:14Speaker 2: that I know, but they live in Connecticut and they
- 4:19Speaker 2: went and got carpal tunnel surgery, which is absolutely ridiculous.
- 4:27Speaker 2: In just a few minutes, I can make a tremendous
- 4:32Speaker 2: difference on that. You have three main nerve roots that
- 4:38Speaker 2: come through your wrists where all the carpal bones and
- 4:42Speaker 2: the owner and the radio are. What happens is sometimes
- 4:47Speaker 2: if you're using them a lot, you get kind of
- 4:50Speaker 2: all an inflamed area, or you get where the everything's
- 4:56Speaker 2: extended a little bit and it'll compress those nerves and
- 5:01Speaker 2: getting them cut on. They go in there and they
- 5:03Speaker 2: just rote a root a little bit, and that didn't
- 5:05Speaker 2: fix anything. It's usually a repetitive use injury kind of thing,
- 5:12Speaker 2: and it's just your body saying, hey, you did some
- 5:14Speaker 2: work and you're a little sore there, but it usually
- 5:18Speaker 2: will clear up. But I can get in there with
- 5:22Speaker 2: my thumb and then I do some ultrasound and some
- 5:24Speaker 2: laser and then give you some things to take on
- 5:27Speaker 2: the inside. The first thing I ever do with anybody
- 5:32Speaker 2: in pain, and I get a lot of knee pain, elbow, wrist,
- 5:39Speaker 2: hip pain, that kind of stuff. If it's if it's recent,
- 5:44Speaker 2: you know, like real cute, then I always do cataplex ACP,
- 5:50Speaker 2: which is very good for inflammation, swelling and repairing soft tissue.
- 5:56Speaker 2: And then I'll do legaplex one or legoplex two. Depending
- 6:01Speaker 2: on whether it's a disc related spinal issue, I might
- 6:06Speaker 2: go ligaplex one. If it's joint health in general, I'll
- 6:11Speaker 2: probably go ligaplex two. And usually with those two products
- 6:18Speaker 2: and a treatment or two, everything clears up pretty quick.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I've never had those things fail me. Now there are
- 6:27Speaker 2: times when we have more issues and then we get
- 6:30Speaker 2: more aggressive, but those two, especially legoplex two and cataplex ACP,
- 6:37Speaker 2: they have never ever let me down. But a couple
- 6:41Speaker 2: of things we use, like we use osterplex by standard
- 6:45Speaker 2: process and just like the name, it is more for
- 6:49Speaker 2: osteopenia osteoarthritis. Then we have Rooumaplex same thing, room type
- 6:58Speaker 2: issues where you you know you're with rheumatoid problems. And
- 7:03Speaker 2: then we have Glucosamine Synergy, which I like this one
- 7:08Speaker 2: especially maintaining things because it's got some legaplex two. It's
- 7:14Speaker 2: got glucosamine to hydrate to join, and it's got boswelia
- 7:21Speaker 2: to help heal, so it's a pretty good product. And
- 7:24Speaker 2: then for like say you've just got pain and we
- 7:27Speaker 2: need to help calm that pain down, saladjsy by many
- 7:32Speaker 2: herb is a good thing. And again the cataplex ACP
- 7:37Speaker 2: getting rid of that inflammation and swelling a lot of
- 7:40Speaker 2: times will work. Boswellia complex very important. So there's a
- 7:46Speaker 2: lot of things you can do. And what happens to
- 7:49Speaker 2: a lot of people is they exercise too much and
- 7:53Speaker 2: that damages your immune system anyway. But what will happen
- 7:57Speaker 2: is somebody will decide they're going to work out and
- 8:00Speaker 2: they haven't done it in a long time, and the
- 8:04Speaker 2: next day they can't move. So we have to deal
- 8:08Speaker 2: with that and a lot of it's just from working
- 8:11Speaker 2: out or doing something you haven't done well. You might
- 8:13Speaker 2: have played a sport, ride your bike, jog and all
- 8:17Speaker 2: those kind of things, and the next day your body's
- 8:20Speaker 2: going to raise hell because it's not happy it didn't
- 8:23Speaker 2: want to go on a bike ride or job. So anyway,
- 8:31Speaker 2: a lot of good products. There's a big debate with
- 8:35Speaker 2: people that will always tell me I put heat on it. Well,
- 8:39Speaker 2: you don't want to put heat on anything in the
- 8:45Speaker 2: beginning because heat will feel good initially, but it brings
- 8:51Speaker 2: all the inflammation and swelling to the spot you put
- 8:54Speaker 2: that heat on, which is going to make it hurt worse. Initially.
- 8:59Speaker 2: We want to do ice, and nobody likes that because
- 9:02Speaker 2: it's like, oh my god, that's cold. But you put
- 9:06Speaker 2: ice and it has a numb nest and cut down
- 9:12Speaker 2: on the feeling a little bit and it gets rid
- 9:17Speaker 2: of all the inflammation and swelling and that helps a lot.
- 9:24Speaker 2: And you can some people say can I alternate ice
- 9:27Speaker 2: and heat? You can, And after you've got past that
- 9:32Speaker 2: acute face, ice and heat. Ice will get rid of
- 9:37Speaker 2: the bad eyes. Heat will bring blood flow and nutrition
- 9:41Speaker 2: to try to heal that area. But in the beginning
- 9:45Speaker 2: not good. And what I see a lot too. Like
- 9:51Speaker 2: years ago, I had a lot of patients that rode
- 9:54Speaker 2: that MS one point fifty. And you know, I like
- 9:58Speaker 2: riding a bicycle to the mailbox and that's about it
- 10:02Speaker 2: unless it's got a motor on it, and then I
- 10:04Speaker 2: like riding it anywhere. But those people that rode that
- 10:08Speaker 2: MS one point fifty when they got back and a
- 10:11Speaker 2: bunch of them came to see me, they were just miserable.
- 10:16Speaker 2: They'd overworked everything because they only do that once a year.
- 10:21Speaker 2: And guess what, the body is not happy and it
- 10:25Speaker 2: will punish you accordingly. So there's a lot of things
- 10:30Speaker 2: we can do. It's pretty important if you're going to
- 10:33Speaker 2: do any kind of exercise, workout anything different, you want
- 10:39Speaker 2: to choose some cardioplus and maybe a cataplex B or
- 10:44Speaker 2: becore with that, and that makes sure you've got plenty
- 10:47Speaker 2: of blood flow and nutrients to all the muscle tissue
- 10:52Speaker 2: and good circulation because the heart is a muscle and
- 10:56Speaker 2: cardioplus benefits the heart, all your muscles, all that circulation.
- 11:03Speaker 2: And so if you're going to be doing some exercise
- 11:06Speaker 2: that you don't normally do, that's a good thing to do,
- 11:10Speaker 2: and it really helps the athlete. If you're trying to
- 11:12Speaker 2: get in shape for certain sport, things like cardioplus and
- 11:18Speaker 2: cataplex B or bcor very good to start fine tuning.
- 11:23Speaker 2: You get your muscles plenty of blood flows so they
- 11:26Speaker 2: could function properly. I had a gentleman want me to
- 11:31Speaker 2: treat his son who was in college playing football, and
- 11:36Speaker 2: he was very upset that his son needed an extra
- 11:41Speaker 2: step or two in speed, at least he thought he did.
- 11:45Speaker 2: But his son had already made the team, so he
- 11:48Speaker 2: must have been pretty good. But he wanted me to
- 11:52Speaker 2: take his son down steroid row so that they gave
- 11:56Speaker 2: him that edge. And I told him, I said, first off,
- 12:00Speaker 2: you don't understand that you might get some glory out
- 12:03Speaker 2: of that in the beginning, but it's going to destroy
- 12:05Speaker 2: your son. And I said, I don't think that's what
- 12:09Speaker 2: you want. To pump him up full of bad stuff
- 12:13Speaker 2: so you get maybe a little glory in college. And
- 12:17Speaker 2: then one of the bad things about steroids they cause
- 12:22Speaker 2: long term joint degeneration. And nobody tells you that because
- 12:26Speaker 2: it's big business and it's like taking a big giant ass.
- 12:30Speaker 2: When you get immediate relief, but then you suffer later.
- 12:34Speaker 2: So anyway, I offered to help his son be a
- 12:38Speaker 2: better athlete nutritionally, and that man got so mad at
- 12:42Speaker 2: me because I would not help him get steroids and
- 12:47Speaker 2: things that didn't belong in his son's body. So I
- 12:51Speaker 2: guess he went shopping around for another doctor. But I
- 12:55Speaker 2: felt good that I did not cave into that pressure
- 12:58Speaker 2: because I didn't want that on my conscious that we
- 13:02Speaker 2: didn't help the kid. And he, like I said, he
- 13:04Speaker 2: already made the team. He's in college playing ball, so
- 13:08Speaker 2: it must not be that he too far off. But
- 13:11Speaker 2: his dad seemed to me to be living through the
- 13:15Speaker 2: sun and wanted to pat himself on the back every
- 13:19Speaker 2: time his kid did something good. But if you do sports,
- 13:23Speaker 2: if you do any kind of exercise, if you do
- 13:26Speaker 2: a job that you haven't done around your home, like
- 13:28Speaker 2: landscape being her cutting the grass, and your sore, that's
- 13:33Speaker 2: when we want to come in with cataplex ACP and
- 13:38Speaker 2: legoplex two in most cases. And how I do that
- 13:41Speaker 2: on DOTCHDI is I will start with three cataplex ACP
- 13:46Speaker 2: three times a day and two legoplex two. And like
- 13:52Speaker 2: I said, it has never ever let me down and
- 13:57Speaker 2: lgaplex two is very important. You may hear chiropractic doctors
- 14:02Speaker 2: say they can't hold an adjustment, and the Lgoplex two
- 14:08Speaker 2: is very good for that problem because it helps with
- 14:11Speaker 2: the tendons, ligaments, disc and that's the problem when you're
- 14:16Speaker 2: adjusting somebody and it doesn't take very well. They're not
- 14:22Speaker 2: healthy nutritionally in the ligaments, tendons, and disc So you
- 14:27Speaker 2: can move them all you want, but you're not doing
- 14:30Speaker 2: a lot of goods. So I know a few doctors
- 14:33Speaker 2: you know, walked in their office and they do an
- 14:38Speaker 2: exam and then they say, here, you're going to take
- 14:40Speaker 2: this Legoplex two before you come back, because you could
- 14:44Speaker 2: hold an adjustment with a vice script. So it's a
- 14:48Speaker 2: good thing to take it on a regular basis, Like
- 14:52Speaker 2: right now, I think in my cabin that I'm taking
- 14:55Speaker 2: glucosamine synergy. It's got a little ligaplex two, a little
- 14:59Speaker 2: bust and the glucosamine. So it's a nice thing on
- 15:04Speaker 2: a regular basis. And what people forget, the people that
- 15:09Speaker 2: haven't been doing a much exercise or working out or
- 15:12Speaker 2: any of that stuff is a lot of times by
- 15:15Speaker 2: the time you feel a pain and I'll ask, well,
- 15:19Speaker 2: what do you know, have you done anything? Do you remember?
- 15:22Speaker 2: Answers know what happened? Is it takes sometime six months
- 15:26Speaker 2: to a year before something shows up that's been coming,
- 15:31Speaker 2: depending on what's going on. And so that's why I
- 15:35Speaker 2: like to do a little bit of things on the
- 15:37Speaker 2: maintenance side of life, like the boss Welia complex or
- 15:42Speaker 2: the glucosamine synergy to keep the joints healthy, and then
- 15:47Speaker 2: the cardio plus always for good circulation cataplex B or becre.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Those two work together because cataplex B the B vitamins
- 15:59Speaker 2: and the B are the part of the B vitamins
- 16:02Speaker 2: that vaso constrict and so they help when you don't
- 16:07Speaker 2: have good B vitamin in there to get the things
- 16:12Speaker 2: to contract and muscles to flex and do what you
- 16:15Speaker 2: need them to do. And then the cardioplus has got
- 16:19Speaker 2: the other part of the B vitamins that vaso dilate
- 16:22Speaker 2: and make sure you get that blood flow in there.
- 16:25Speaker 2: So between the two of them you do really well.
- 16:28Speaker 2: A lot of times when you hear about things like, oh,
- 16:35Speaker 2: the heart has a fib problem, usually that's a B
- 16:39Speaker 2: vitamin efficiency and those B vitamins get in there and
- 16:43Speaker 2: they constrict and they help the nutrients for the heart
- 16:47Speaker 2: to be able to pump better. And so you've got
- 16:51Speaker 2: cardioplus with its B vitamins that vaso dilate cataplects B
- 16:56Speaker 2: constricting and together they'll make very heart healthy heart and
- 17:01Speaker 2: muscle and good circulation. So that's a great thing, all right, Susie.
- 17:06Speaker 5: Anything, Yeah, Well, I've taken all those things in and
- 17:12Speaker 5: they're they're very effective. You know, last week we talked
- 17:17Speaker 5: about you know, what to keep in your in your
- 17:19Speaker 5: first aid kit, and uh, you know, one of the
- 17:23Speaker 5: things that I like is UH FLEXI Flexi cold k
- 17:29Speaker 5: O L D. I'll put a link in UH in
- 17:33Speaker 5: the rumble comments and the reason I like it. And
- 17:37Speaker 5: these things are like five years old and I got too,
- 17:41Speaker 5: So you know, if it's kind of a you know,
- 17:43Speaker 5: a serious situation, if you've got two, then you've got
- 17:49Speaker 5: to back up. Of course, I know you say the
- 17:52Speaker 5: you know, limit the amount of time that that you
- 17:57Speaker 5: use it for. But there it's it's a gel cold
- 18:03Speaker 5: pat and so it's flexible and they have it in
- 18:10Speaker 5: all different sizes. I mean, they've got one that's like
- 18:15Speaker 5: for Nick. They've got some that's like for that has straps,
- 18:20Speaker 5: and I just I think it's a it's a good
- 18:24Speaker 5: product and longevity so far. Like I said, I think
- 18:30Speaker 5: they're about five years old.
- 18:32Speaker 2: I'm glad you brought that up because I forgot. In
- 18:35Speaker 2: my office, I use sombra. It's a liquid roll on,
- 18:40Speaker 2: and after I treat people, the last thing I do
- 18:43Speaker 2: is put some somber on there, and it comes in
- 18:47Speaker 2: cold and warm. But I, like I said, I like
- 18:50Speaker 2: the cold the best unless they're pretty well healed up,
- 18:53Speaker 2: and then warm just feels better. But h pretty similar
- 18:57Speaker 2: to what you're talking about, and I had forgot totally
- 19:00Speaker 2: to mention that, so thank you.
- 19:02Speaker 5: But this is actually a cold pack, ye that you
- 19:07Speaker 5: keep in your freezer.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I have those. I have several on my freezer
- 19:13Speaker 2: and I have a shelf of them because patients choose
- 19:15Speaker 2: to get them from me, and it just like you said,
- 19:17Speaker 2: it's wonderful. And I used to if somebody came in
- 19:21Speaker 2: with a disc compression and they were lit up in
- 19:26Speaker 2: miserable pain when we finished, I put that right on
- 19:30Speaker 2: there and I strapped it on whether some kind of strap,
- 19:34Speaker 2: even their own belt, so they could wear it take
- 19:37Speaker 2: it home. And you're right, they last a long time,
- 19:42Speaker 2: So thank you for bringing that up, because I totally
- 19:45Speaker 2: forgot all right, Bill anything.
- 19:50Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm glad you're brought up the heat and cold
- 19:54Speaker 6: applications because people seem to have that just reverse. I
- 19:59Speaker 6: remember what. I used to go to the gym a lot,
- 20:02Speaker 6: and I hear all these everybody that goes to the
- 20:04Speaker 6: gym is an expert, you know, and it was just, uh, yeah,
- 20:10Speaker 6: it was wrong and they were wrong. They were wrong,
- 20:13Speaker 6: and which of course you're not going to correct them.
- 20:16Speaker 6: You're not going to change anything because they know more.
- 20:19Speaker 6: But understanding how to treat a particular kind of injury
- 20:25Speaker 6: can make all the difference on them. Where do you
- 20:27Speaker 6: heal up or not?
- 20:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that's very true, and you're right. Uh, I hate gems.
- 20:34Speaker 2: The only thing I liked about the gym was the
- 20:36Speaker 2: pool and this and uh hot tub or not hot tub,
- 20:40Speaker 2: but uh the steam room. Yeah, the steam rooms. Some
- 20:46Speaker 2: had wet, some had dry. But that was a wonderful feeling.
- 20:50Speaker 2: And but and I worked out with machines because I
- 20:53Speaker 2: like that. Too many people do free weights, and free
- 20:56Speaker 2: weights are bad for your poor body. But I'm I'm
- 21:00Speaker 2: with Winston Churchill on that though. All that exercise he
- 21:04Speaker 2: used to say that. They asked him did he do exercise,
- 21:08Speaker 2: and he said, nope, none, not anytime ever. And he said,
- 21:13Speaker 2: I get enough exercise carrying all my friend's coffins that exercised,
- 21:19Speaker 2: and he was true. He went to a lot of
- 21:22Speaker 2: funerals and they all worked out and did all that.
- 21:25Speaker 2: And you know, you take a look at people today.
- 21:28Speaker 2: They don't understand. And like Bill said, they all at
- 21:32Speaker 2: the gym. Everybody knows everything, and you're not going to
- 21:36Speaker 2: convince them of anything, so it's better don't get in
- 21:38Speaker 2: those conversations. But they'll work out too hard and they're
- 21:44Speaker 2: destroying their own immune system, and then they can't figure
- 21:47Speaker 2: out what's wrong because I worked out and I did
- 21:51Speaker 2: all this, and they get pumped up and they start
- 21:54Speaker 2: looking in the mirror and seeing all that. We had
- 21:56Speaker 2: an instructor when I was in medical school that look
- 22:00Speaker 2: like Hulk Hogan for a little while, and then he
- 22:03Speaker 2: quit working and he stopped the workouts and he started
- 22:08Speaker 2: looking shrinky, upy and flabb and I felt bad for him,
- 22:14Speaker 2: but he'd quit all that. And too many times the
- 22:17Speaker 2: guys that you see bulking up too quick, and women
- 22:21Speaker 2: are doing steroids or even if it's a natural form
- 22:25Speaker 2: of the steroids, and it's just not good for you,
- 22:28Speaker 2: and I'm sorry. You know, there's better things to do
- 22:33Speaker 2: in life than hanging out at the gym, because you
- 22:35Speaker 2: think nobody's going to like the way you look if
- 22:38Speaker 2: you don't, and they get obsessed. And boy, so many
- 22:43Speaker 2: of them that I worked on did their own damage
- 22:46Speaker 2: at the gym. And I have a little home gym
- 22:53Speaker 2: kind of thing that I work out with maybe I
- 22:56Speaker 2: think just once a week just to kind of stay tone,
- 23:00Speaker 2: but it's a nice little home thing and it's all
- 23:04Speaker 2: where you're sitting. There's no free weights, and I don't
- 23:06Speaker 2: like anything with free weights, but I know how people feel.
- 23:10Speaker 2: You can hurt yourself and not realize that doing a job.
- 23:14Speaker 2: I can't remember how many times I've talked to Bill
- 23:17Speaker 2: and he played Tarzan working on the top of his
- 23:21Speaker 2: trailer and cut forty acres of grass, and then he
- 23:26Speaker 2: wondered why he was sore The next day. I said, damn, Bill,
- 23:32Speaker 2: you work tarder than a twenty five year old kid.
- 23:35Speaker 2: What do you expect? Do you remember those conversations? Bill? No, yeah, no, Yeah,
- 23:45Speaker 2: he's the only guy I know that works that hard.
- 23:50Speaker 2: You know, most most people don't mess with that stuff.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Like he gets up there and waxes top of the camper.
- 23:57Speaker 2: I guess that's what it is, waxing A lot of
- 24:01Speaker 2: hard work. I was tired when he told me about it.
- 24:05Speaker 5: Sounds like my husband.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Oh oh, oh funny, Hey, Susy, you'd be proud of me.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I actually cooked spaghetti and meatballs the other day.
- 24:19Speaker 5: And meatballs. See I love meatballs, and my family doesn't.
- 24:23Speaker 5: They're like they want the ground meat just pounded into shreds.
- 24:28Speaker 2: You know, that's funny. But see, I'm not much on pastas,
- 24:36Speaker 2: but I like spaghetti and meatballs. And I like to
- 24:39Speaker 2: put slices of jalapeno or some kind of hot yellow
- 24:43Speaker 2: peppers in there that are not too fiery, but just
- 24:46Speaker 2: enough to give it a little spice kick. I like that.
- 24:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I like that, and I like the red pepper flakes.
- 24:52Speaker 5: But yeah, I was much. I wasn't much on pasta either,
- 24:57Speaker 5: until you know, I found the Ironcore pasta and yeah,
- 25:06Speaker 5: that's that's that's fabulous.
- 25:09Speaker 2: And I'm going to try that thing. Bill. You were
- 25:11Speaker 2: talking about putting a little bit of chocolate and the chili.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Have you tried it yet? No, nope. And how much
- 25:19Speaker 2: do we put in?
- 25:21Speaker 6: Not very much. I'm talking about maybe half a teaspoon.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Oh okay, so I got on age. Yeah, just break off,
- 25:32Speaker 2: just break.
- 25:32Speaker 6: Off of it, because you'll be able to tell the
- 25:35Speaker 6: difference in the taste. Another thing that really makes a
- 25:37Speaker 6: difference that cooking is and I know I've talked about
- 25:40Speaker 6: on your stew of bitters, which is what they use
- 25:42Speaker 6: in Manhattan's. But if you have a stew, a stew
- 25:48Speaker 6: or a soup and literally one drop one drop, not
- 25:53Speaker 6: too one drop, you can't taste it, But everything tastes better,
- 25:59Speaker 6: everything taste more intense. It's just.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Wonderful. I think there's a lot of drinks they use bitters.
- 26:10Speaker 2: You know, in the old days, everybody drank bitterers before
- 26:15Speaker 2: a meal because it started getting the juices ready for digestion.
- 26:23Speaker 2: And now somehow it worked its way into drinks over
- 26:25Speaker 2: the years.
- 26:27Speaker 6: But if you are one of Italian drinks is or
- 26:31Speaker 6: one of those kinds of pre apple or pre food
- 26:34Speaker 6: appetizer kind of things, is chizeno. It has bitters in it,
- 26:38Speaker 6: but it's a kind of calms your stomach and get
- 26:40Speaker 6: everything ready for what's coming along.
- 26:42Speaker 2: And what was that called again.
- 26:45Speaker 6: Gizon c I n's g A n O chiz.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I don't remember that. I was in Naples. Maybe they
- 26:53Speaker 2: didn't do that in Naples. Of course I drank.
- 26:56Speaker 6: They probably don't do a lot of things in Naples.
- 26:59Speaker 6: You never know about neopallops.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's totally a different world there. Yeah, bitterers is
- 27:06Speaker 2: a big thing. I've got some bitters because I make
- 27:09Speaker 2: a martini every once in a while and it calls
- 27:12Speaker 2: for bitterers and I forget how many drops. It's not
- 27:15Speaker 2: very much like you said, and I usually you can't
- 27:19Speaker 2: tell us in there, but it's supposed to make everything better. Yeah,
- 27:23Speaker 2: So I do not know, Susie. Have you ever tried
- 27:28Speaker 2: bitters in anything?
- 27:31Speaker 5: Yeah? I think I made the martini one time, and
- 27:34Speaker 5: I don't think that Dean Martin would have approved.
- 27:39Speaker 6: I've never heard of anybody putting bitterers. It's a very
- 27:43Speaker 6: dark liquid, very dark brown. I've never heard of ever
- 27:48Speaker 6: using that as a clear drink. It's not like bitters. Oh,
- 27:53Speaker 6: what's the name of it. It's kind of like a
- 27:54Speaker 6: beer or an ale. Uh. It's called bitters, and it's
- 27:58Speaker 6: kind of one of those mildly permitted British strikes, which
- 28:05Speaker 6: I never had. But Guinness is stout is part of
- 28:09Speaker 6: that that family, I think. But they have a glass
- 28:13Speaker 6: of bitters. It like a glass of beer. Yeah, but
- 28:17Speaker 6: it's not the same.
- 28:19Speaker 2: I remember the old days. Yeah, the old days they
- 28:22Speaker 2: did it. They would, they said that, And I think
- 28:27Speaker 2: I learned about this in one of the classes in
- 28:30Speaker 2: medical school for Christian that they would drink bitters in
- 28:34Speaker 2: the old days and kind of like you said, with
- 28:37Speaker 2: that stuff in Italy to get the system ready for
- 28:41Speaker 2: the meal. It was like what they had right for
- 28:43Speaker 2: the meal, and somehow we ended up with it now
- 28:47Speaker 2: where we've put it in Manhattan's and martinis and things
- 28:50Speaker 2: like that. So, Susie, did you like the martini?
- 28:56Speaker 5: Well, no, not really. A restaurant in Austin that makes
- 29:04Speaker 5: some Mexican martini and I like that for some reason.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Bill, you have ruined her, she says no, And yes,
- 29:11Speaker 2: just like you do. She didn't used to be nice.
- 29:15Speaker 6: Nice to get to my age and learn that I
- 29:17Speaker 6: could still corrupt a woman. Yeah, that's hilarious.
- 29:22Speaker 2: That's funny. Bill. Do you have a favorite drink mixed
- 29:27Speaker 2: drink dope water?
- 29:30Speaker 6: And I like a glass of milk that's about thirty
- 29:33Speaker 6: eight degrees.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I like. I like my beer and my milk
- 29:37Speaker 2: very cold.
- 29:39Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 29:40Speaker 2: I keep glasses in the freezer just for that kind
- 29:42Speaker 2: of stuff.
- 29:44Speaker 6: I tell you. When I was in England, though, I
- 29:46Speaker 6: got used to drinking beer that was warm, and I
- 29:49Speaker 6: really had gotten so I prefer that. Unless it's like
- 29:52Speaker 6: living in Southeast Texas, when you know there's a cool
- 29:56Speaker 6: days one hundred and ten, then a cold beer is good. Yeah,
- 30:00Speaker 6: you can't even drink it after you pour it all
- 30:01Speaker 6: over you.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I was in England, I was in Portsmouth, London, and
- 30:11Speaker 2: I dated a girl from Bristol, and so that fish
- 30:15Speaker 2: and chips I loved. But warm beer ain't happening. I
- 30:20Speaker 2: did not like that, and they have a lot more pain.
- 30:26Speaker 6: Yeah. I remember a limerick once it started about there
- 30:29Speaker 6: once was a girl of Bristol, but I can't remember
- 30:31Speaker 6: the rest of it.
- 30:35Speaker 2: All right, guys, well we're at break time. This is

- 34:00Speaker 7: single Vince song, Tail Season any else?
- 34:22Speaker 2: All right, we are back. Welcome back to Doctor Cooper's
- 34:25Speaker 2: Natural Health Hours. It is the twenty ninth of October,
- 34:31Speaker 2: and uh, if you're a baseball fan, the World Series
- 34:34Speaker 2: is on.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Uh.
- 34:36Speaker 2: The Blue Jays and the La Dodgers are tied to too.
- 34:42Speaker 2: We've got Bill, Suzzy, producer, Steve behind the curtain, and myself.
- 34:46Speaker 2: We're all here. And that song reminds me that I
- 34:50Speaker 2: do take requests. I just don't play them. Uh, but
- 34:55Speaker 2: it's nice to hear from you. Anyway. That was a
- 35:00Speaker 2: song by Susie, So I'm just teasing her, and I
- 35:03Speaker 2: think it was one of her first questions Kid Rock.
- 35:07Speaker 2: So we are back and we were talking about aches
- 35:11Speaker 2: and pains and a lot of times we've inflicted it
- 35:15Speaker 2: on ourselfs or we did too much. One of the
- 35:19Speaker 2: bad things I've noticed about me is I'll start doing
- 35:22Speaker 2: something and even if I'm tired or I'm wore out,
- 35:26Speaker 2: I just keep going. I want to get it done.
- 35:29Speaker 2: And then when I get it done, I can't move.
- 35:31Speaker 2: So I have to take care of that. And I've
- 35:35Speaker 2: learned to slow down a little bit and try to
- 35:39Speaker 2: do everything a little more paste and I make sure
- 35:43Speaker 2: that I have some organic gatorade to keep hydrated, especially
- 35:48Speaker 2: in the summertime in Houston, where you could stand outside
- 35:51Speaker 2: and feel like you're taking a shower at three in
- 35:53Speaker 2: the morning without moving. So anything else, Susie on aches
- 35:59Speaker 2: and pain and stuff like that.
- 36:03Speaker 5: Are you saying that you do not like kid Rock?
- 36:06Speaker 2: Oh, there's are things about Kid Rock. I like some
- 36:09Speaker 2: of his songs.
- 36:10Speaker 5: Yeah, Well the old stuff's pretty bad, but but he's
- 36:15Speaker 5: grown up.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Yeah, but you got to remember even some of that
- 36:20Speaker 2: stuff that you might say is bad or I might
- 36:22Speaker 2: not like, or Bill might not like, or producer stieve
- 36:26Speaker 2: there's somebody that liked or he wouldn't have been come
- 36:29Speaker 2: so damn famous. Yeah, well there's always somebody.
- 36:35Speaker 5: Well it's interesting. He's a different man now.
- 36:38Speaker 9: But you know, it's kind of like like having a
- 36:43Speaker 9: nephew that you always saw potential in and and and
- 36:48Speaker 9: he just.
- 36:48Speaker 5: Kept rooting him on because you saw potential. And you
- 36:52Speaker 5: know what I like about him, And I know I'm
- 36:55Speaker 5: going off the rails here what I like about him
- 36:59Speaker 5: called like John Rich he told Nashville in the corporate uh,
- 37:05Speaker 5: you know, record makers that they could pound sand and
- 37:08Speaker 5: that they could be successful without them anyways, eggs and pains. Yeah, well,
- 37:18Speaker 5: I don't do weights. Sometimes I wonder if I if
- 37:21Speaker 5: I should. But you know, my thing is a swimming pool,
- 37:26Speaker 5: and I think it is the easiest on the body
- 37:30Speaker 5: at the same time getting results.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree. I tell everybody walking, bicycle, riding, swimming
- 37:42Speaker 2: and you can walk into pool like you do. That's
- 37:44Speaker 2: a great exercise. Uh, but all the a lot of
- 37:47Speaker 2: the other stuff is it is too hard on the
- 37:50Speaker 2: body and people will just wear theirselves out.
- 37:53Speaker 6: Uh.
- 37:54Speaker 2: I've seen so much damage from people going to the gym.
- 37:58Speaker 2: They they it became an addiction like a drug. And
- 38:02Speaker 2: if they don't go to the gym and push themselves
- 38:05Speaker 2: beyond belief, they feel like they did something wrong. And
- 38:10Speaker 2: so I'm glad I don't have that disease bill anything
- 38:15Speaker 2: to add.
- 38:18Speaker 6: Yeah, I remember there are running into how many people
- 38:23Speaker 6: that said, you know, no pain, no gain, and they're
- 38:26Speaker 6: the ones that's got no joints left, right, What's that
- 38:31Speaker 6: a marijuana joke? Yeah, it was.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Well, you know what always was sad for me is
- 38:38Speaker 2: how many people got talked into hip and knee and
- 38:44Speaker 2: different replacements. And it's because it's so easy. There's so
- 38:49Speaker 2: much money to be made. But oh my god, what
- 38:52Speaker 2: they go through and then usually ten to fifteen years
- 38:56Speaker 2: down the road, they tell you you're going to have
- 38:58Speaker 2: to redo it. I just can't understand that. There's so
- 39:03Speaker 2: many things we can do, and we can shift gears
- 39:07Speaker 2: and find out what your body needs, and there's things
- 39:11Speaker 2: that you can do in the way of a lot
- 39:14Speaker 2: of people should not jog, they do it anyway. Walking
- 39:18Speaker 2: is good, the swimming, all those kind of things. Bicycle riding.
- 39:22Speaker 2: There's a lot of good exercises people can do that
- 39:27Speaker 2: you don't destroy your body. And I do not agree.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Unless you've had a horrible bot of cancer and the
- 39:36Speaker 2: joint is ate up beyond repair, we can probably fix it.
- 39:41Speaker 2: We can probably make a big difference. So I don't
- 39:45Speaker 2: like to see hip replacements and need replacements. There's too
- 39:49Speaker 2: many things we can do. And a lot of times
- 39:52Speaker 2: when people come in your office, they have the IT
- 39:56Speaker 2: band which is on the outer side of your leg
- 40:01Speaker 2: and close runs between the knee and the hip area,
- 40:06Speaker 2: and a lot of times that IT band is pulled
- 40:09Speaker 2: spasm tight, causing the knee problem. And the reason it's
- 40:14Speaker 2: doing it is something in the low back locked up,
- 40:17Speaker 2: shifted turned, and so it's trying to protect you. Well,
- 40:21Speaker 2: if you go to the wrong guy and he doesn't
- 40:23Speaker 2: understand about joints and moving things and freeing stuff up
- 40:28Speaker 2: and getting it to heel, they're going to find a
- 40:31Speaker 2: way to cut and replace. And I don't like that
- 40:35Speaker 2: at all. So all right, it is that wonderful time
- 40:40Speaker 2: of night for some of these great great jokes. But
- 40:43Speaker 2: I had a political thing before we jump into that.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Bill Gates, who I should not say a whole lot,
- 40:53Speaker 2: because Mama said, if you can't say something nice, don't
- 40:55Speaker 2: say anything. Turned around just recently and is now telling
- 41:01Speaker 2: people that climate stuff is not the catastrophic things that
- 41:08Speaker 2: he was telling people before. That just came up this week.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Now he's telling people you ought to look into food
- 41:18Speaker 2: and other things, and you know, sustainable stuff, But he
- 41:24Speaker 2: said that climate stuff is not the catastrophic stuff that
- 41:28Speaker 2: I was saying. Also, car chases my cops. I seen
- 41:35Speaker 2: the other day where a cop got killed. I seen
- 41:40Speaker 2: where an innocent bystander got killed, and I seen where
- 41:44Speaker 2: the guy they were chasing got killed, all in one week.
- 41:48Speaker 2: And then there's a channel on Roku that is dedicated
- 41:54Speaker 2: to nothing but police chases all day long, twenty four
- 41:58Speaker 2: hours a day. And I'm thinking, in this modern era,
- 42:04Speaker 2: where you've got helicopters and you've got addresses and you've
- 42:08Speaker 2: ran plates, why are they putting everybody's lives at risk,
- 42:14Speaker 2: including their own chasing some guy. And there was one
- 42:19Speaker 2: the other day where it was just a traffic thing
- 42:23Speaker 2: and they ended up chasing him and probably he was scared,
- 42:26Speaker 2: maybe he had some other stuff, maybe he had drugs
- 42:30Speaker 2: in the car. Who knows, but he ran and that
- 42:34Speaker 2: puts him in danger. Somebody else could get killed that
- 42:38Speaker 2: he runs into. And we've had too many issues where
- 42:44Speaker 2: cops got killed or hurt or hurt somebody else. So
- 42:48Speaker 2: I'm thinking, why would you be chasing these people in
- 42:52Speaker 2: this modern era? You don't need to do that. There's
- 42:56Speaker 2: just no reason for it. Sissy, what you think.
- 42:59Speaker 5: Oh great, there was something recently this week. I think
- 43:08Speaker 5: card chase ended up being an illegal up to speeds
- 43:14Speaker 5: of one hundred miles an hour. Just absurd.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Yeah, bad news, bill.
- 43:21Speaker 6: Way, you think, Yeah, we have mixed mixed feelings about
- 43:27Speaker 6: all that. I've uh, I kind of want to get
- 43:30Speaker 6: into this for for what I was going to talk
- 43:32Speaker 6: a little bit about, but so much of that that
- 43:36Speaker 6: stuff is cultural. People are a particular group of people
- 43:43Speaker 6: think that if if you're you got to run, no
- 43:46Speaker 6: matter what, you got to run, you will get away,
- 43:50Speaker 6: and it just makes the problem worse. On the other hand,
- 43:53Speaker 6: not very many people are going to say, oh, there's
- 43:55Speaker 6: a red light, I think I better pull over, and
- 43:59Speaker 6: it persists. It's a cultural anomally that that has been
- 44:04Speaker 6: an issue and has become worse in the last couple
- 44:08Speaker 6: of decades, But yeah, there's it doesn't seem to me
- 44:13Speaker 6: that there needs to be that kind of a dramatic chase.
- 44:16Speaker 6: I mean, police car's got radios.
- 44:19Speaker 2: In them, blocked the road off a mile down.
- 44:23Speaker 6: Some guys going on hunt. Yeah well yeah, but you know,
- 44:28Speaker 6: you just don't hop in a helicopter and take off,
- 44:31Speaker 6: and there's there's a lot of air traffic stuff that's
- 44:34Speaker 6: involved with that, and there's those mechanical problems with these things,
- 44:37Speaker 6: or mechanical warm up times of these things, and they
- 44:40Speaker 6: don't keep choppers running. They got to go in and
- 44:44Speaker 6: start them up, and it takes a few minutes to
- 44:47Speaker 6: do that, by which point the guy is where. So
- 44:51Speaker 6: you know, if you got a chopper in the air
- 44:53Speaker 6: and he's available and there's clear air traffic is clear,
- 44:57Speaker 6: that's one thing. But otherwise there's just too much, particularly
- 45:00Speaker 6: in large cities with major airports, there's just too many
- 45:04Speaker 6: aircraft around to be going doing that kind of stuff.
- 45:07Speaker 6: It's a great idea though, some time ago, that the
- 45:11Speaker 6: car people were the manufacturers were putting a device in
- 45:15Speaker 6: automobiles that enable the police to basically turn the engine off.
- 45:21Speaker 6: Oh yeah, yeah, Well, you know, there's pluses and minuses
- 45:28Speaker 6: for that. If some guys you know, got a hostage
- 45:31Speaker 6: in the car or is held up someplace and is
- 45:34Speaker 6: trying to take off and you can shut his car down,
- 45:36Speaker 6: it beats having a high speed chase.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I think they get an adrenal rush. And I've
- 45:46Speaker 2: seen so many bad videos that I think a lot
- 45:49Speaker 2: of these people are watching these videos on things like
- 45:54Speaker 2: YouTube and they're seeing like there was a thing just
- 45:58Speaker 2: the other day where the lady just got out of
- 46:02Speaker 2: the shower, she's naked, and they broke down her door
- 46:07Speaker 2: and it was the wrong house. So they've got her naked,
- 46:11Speaker 2: wouldn't even let her grab a towel, handcuffed and she's
- 46:15Speaker 2: trying to tell him you got the wrong house. We're
- 46:17Speaker 2: not anything to do with that kind of stuff. And
- 46:21Speaker 2: they're tearing her house apart, running all over the place.
- 46:25Speaker 2: So people are afraid. And I know a lot of
- 46:28Speaker 2: cops and there's a lot of good guys that I know,
- 46:30Speaker 2: and I've met some bad ones, and people are scared
- 46:34Speaker 2: to death they see these videos. Guy gets pulled over
- 46:38Speaker 2: because his taillight was out and the cop didn't like
- 46:41Speaker 2: the way he was talking. I saw one recently where
- 46:45Speaker 2: the cop did not know that the rookie riding with
- 46:48Speaker 2: him was undercover because they had complaints about this cop.
- 46:54Speaker 2: And he's telling the rookie, you just write down what
- 46:58Speaker 2: I tell you, because how here there's not any rules.
- 47:01Speaker 2: It's what I say. So people are afraid, and I
- 47:04Speaker 2: think that's why they run too. But chasing them in
- 47:08Speaker 2: this modern era with all the traffic, just gets somebody killed.
- 47:12Speaker 2: And there's got to be a better way to do it.
- 47:15Speaker 2: And they got they got the radios that usually they've
- 47:18Speaker 2: already got the tags. Somebody saw that car. You can
- 47:22Speaker 2: block the road, do something, but don't know.
- 47:27Speaker 5: I'm itching to say this. Me and Bill could have
- 47:30Speaker 5: a good, healthy debate. I think over the automatic you know,
- 47:36Speaker 5: shutting off cars. You know what if someone's abducted? You know,
- 47:43Speaker 5: how about carrying a handgun with you? I just I
- 47:48Speaker 5: was raised up, and then I raised myself up even
- 47:52Speaker 5: more for personal responsibility. Uh, if those cops, and this
- 47:59Speaker 5: might be too much information, but if I'm here alone
- 48:02Speaker 5: and I'm taking a shower, guess where my handgun is,
- 48:07Speaker 5: like little table right outside my show shower. I can
- 48:11Speaker 5: grab it really quick and yeah, not in the shower.
- 48:17Speaker 5: I will shoot you dead naked with soap in my
- 48:23Speaker 5: hair if I don't know who you are, and and
- 48:27Speaker 5: then I'll dry my hair. I'm not even put on
- 48:30Speaker 5: some makeup, and then I'll call nine one one and
- 48:34Speaker 5: and say, yeah, bring it back. But but no, I
- 48:39Speaker 5: don't like the setting off of the car thing. I see.
- 48:49Speaker 5: It's not a good option.
- 48:50Speaker 6: If we could put those devices in the cars of
- 48:53Speaker 6: bad guys, it'd be a lot simpler.
- 48:55Speaker 5: Yeah, of course, But it's like the Patriot Act. You know,
- 48:59Speaker 5: it's to keep you safe, to keep you safe, to
- 49:01Speaker 5: keep you safe, and I'm like, I keep myself safe.
- 49:05Speaker 6: Yeah, well, you know, you used a word that I
- 49:11Speaker 6: wanted to get into any way a little bit. But
- 49:13Speaker 6: it's and that's taking responsibility for yourself because we we
- 49:18Speaker 6: because of particular politics, all responsibility is off. We don't
- 49:25Speaker 6: have to take responsibility for anything we do because something
- 49:28Speaker 6: is always somebody else's fault and we're all victims, so
- 49:31Speaker 6: whatever we do is okay. We've got to learn to
- 49:34Speaker 6: take responsibility for ourselves, right.
- 49:37Speaker 5: And to my point about carjacking, you know, unless you're
- 49:44Speaker 5: walking to your car, and I would be wearing a gun,
- 49:48Speaker 5: so good luck with that. And I'm a better shot
- 49:51Speaker 5: than most men. Now, I have not been in a
- 49:56Speaker 5: crisis situation full blown. I was in a minor one
- 50:02Speaker 5: at a gas station in Houston, of course, and some
- 50:06Speaker 5: man just kept walking towards me. It was interesting because
- 50:10Speaker 5: I was concealed cary and you know, women, Oh my gosh,
- 50:17Speaker 5: my dad used to complain about this. You open the door,
- 50:21Speaker 5: or you get back in your car from the convenience
- 50:23Speaker 5: store grocery store, and you leave your door open while
- 50:26Speaker 5: you fiddle, you know, with your keys and your purse
- 50:30Speaker 5: and this and that and check your hair, and your
- 50:33Speaker 5: door's open. I mean, hello. So when when I get
- 50:39Speaker 5: out of my vehicle to pump gas, I lock it
- 50:43Speaker 5: as soon as I get in. I lock it before
- 50:48Speaker 5: it does off locks. You know, you have to get
- 50:52Speaker 5: up to I don't know what, ten miles an hour
- 50:56Speaker 5: before I hear the locks click. So I mean, I'm
- 51:03Speaker 5: not I don't live in Daily Fair, but I live
- 51:07Speaker 5: in I don't want to shoot someone, I really really don't.
- 51:14Speaker 5: So if I do these certain things and it's habit now,
- 51:19Speaker 5: the likelihood of me having to send someone to their
- 51:22Speaker 5: maker is much more slim.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Good stuff.
- 51:30Speaker 6: I still think you. I think, yeah, I've told people
- 51:33Speaker 6: for the first thing that you do when you get
- 51:35Speaker 6: in a car, the first thing you.
- 51:37Speaker 2: Do is lock the door, right.
- 51:40Speaker 6: And leave it locked, like you said, leave it locked
- 51:42Speaker 6: at they get Yeah, And the only thing I take
- 51:44Speaker 6: out of the car is the car that I use
- 51:47Speaker 6: to splod in the in the gas pump to pay
- 51:50Speaker 6: for I don't take my wallet with me out of
- 51:51Speaker 6: the car, but I lock it as soon as I
- 51:53Speaker 6: get out the door.
- 51:54Speaker 5: Well, and that's a and that's problematic too, and we
- 51:58Speaker 5: can go down so many rabbit holes. I don't remember
- 52:02Speaker 5: three years between three and four years ago, I bought
- 52:06Speaker 5: gas in Kervell, used my card and then I'm getting
- 52:12Speaker 5: online to check uh, you know, bank account and and
- 52:16Speaker 5: there's like twenty five hundred dollars and five or six
- 52:23Speaker 5: transactions to Happy Cellular. I got Patriot Mobile. I don't
- 52:29Speaker 5: had no Happy Cellular. And so I showed Huntley and
- 52:33Speaker 5: I was like, oh great, how did this happen? So
- 52:37Speaker 5: we immediately called the bank. They shut down the car.
- 52:40Speaker 5: Then then we you know, start the investigation. And then
- 52:44Speaker 5: they're they're dragging their their heels and they don't want
- 52:48Speaker 5: to reverse these fraudulent charges. And then I mean they
- 52:53Speaker 5: ultimately did after they made the mistake of saying to us,
- 52:58Speaker 5: do you really want the bank to have to eat this?
- 53:02Speaker 5: Yes we do, Yes we do. And so the very
- 53:08Speaker 5: next day we went and opened up another bank account.
- 53:12Speaker 5: And here's the absurd part about it. We opened that
- 53:15Speaker 5: account in Dallas in eighty six, and so, of course
- 53:23Speaker 5: the bank sold and changed hands over all the years,
- 53:28Speaker 5: but we never officially changed bank accounts. We just had
- 53:33Speaker 5: it for that long. And so we opened up another
- 53:36Speaker 5: bank account. And what we found out was when they
- 53:40Speaker 5: finally decided to investigate, they could tell, they literally could
- 53:47Speaker 5: tell what gas station there was a skimmer in. So
- 53:55Speaker 5: now I take my card if it's a manned place,
- 54:00Speaker 5: HGB has the little cubicle thing, and I'll take my
- 54:03Speaker 5: card and I'll say I'm gonna fill up on number one,
- 54:06Speaker 5: and she just takes the card and does a preapproval.
- 54:09Speaker 5: But I do not. I hope no one else puts,
- 54:12Speaker 5: especially debit cards into gas pops.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Yep, bad things, all right, well, good stuff. I still
- 54:22Speaker 2: think when it comes to the police chasers and all
- 54:24Speaker 2: that stuff, we need to get back to protect and
- 54:27Speaker 2: serve and peace officers, and that'll solve a lot of
- 54:30Speaker 2: it all right. A couple of jokes. A wife. A
- 54:34Speaker 2: wife went in and hit her husband husband over the
- 54:38Speaker 2: head with the skillet, and he said, what was that for?
- 54:43Speaker 2: And she said, I just found a piece of paper
- 54:46Speaker 2: in your laundry with the name of Jenny on it.
- 54:50Speaker 2: And he said, oh, that was a horse I bet on.
- 54:54Speaker 2: And the next day he's in the living room and
- 54:57Speaker 2: she comes in and wax him again with one of
- 54:59Speaker 2: them Ryan vans, and he said, what was that for?
- 55:04Speaker 2: And she said, your harsh just text you so that
- 55:10Speaker 2: he ain't get away with that no more, all right.
- 55:13Speaker 2: Once upon a time a guy asked the girl to
- 55:17Speaker 2: marry him. She said no, and he lived happily ever after.
- 55:26Speaker 2: I like that. I like that all right. The guy
- 55:30Speaker 2: got fired from his job because he was asking each
- 55:34Speaker 2: customer which do you want smoking or non smoking? And
- 55:39Speaker 2: he said, apparently the politically correct is do you want
- 55:44Speaker 2: cremation or burial? That was good. I don't care who
- 55:50Speaker 2: you are, all right.
- 55:54Speaker 5: Do you see do you see the place? Matt right now?
- 55:58Speaker 5: That much? She's okay, yeah.
- 56:00Speaker 2: It looks good.
- 56:02Speaker 5: I didn't do that.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Well, I don't know what you guys, I don't know
- 56:06Speaker 2: who does what, But I can. I like watching them change.
- 56:09Speaker 2: And between the two of you you've become some evil,
- 56:12Speaker 2: mad people. So that's pretty good. All right, Oh we
- 56:19Speaker 2: got here right.
- 56:19Speaker 3: Oh.
- 56:20Speaker 2: Bank robber goes in and he's just finished robbing the
- 56:25Speaker 2: bank and he's getting ready to leave. They're getting ready
- 56:28Speaker 2: to make their escape, and he asked a guy, did
- 56:31Speaker 2: you see my face? And the guy said yeah, and
- 56:33Speaker 2: he's shot him. Then he goes over to this other
- 56:37Speaker 2: guy and he said, did you see my face? And
- 56:41Speaker 2: he said, no, sir, but I think my wife did.
- 56:45Speaker 6: Oh no, where do you Where do you get these.
- 56:50Speaker 2: Dark web They just come to me? They just all right.
- 56:56Speaker 2: So lady goes to the doctor and she's telling the doctor,
- 57:00Speaker 2: my husband talks all night long in his sleep. What
- 57:06Speaker 2: can I do? And the doctor said, you might let
- 57:10Speaker 2: him talk during the daytime. That was That was so good.
- 57:16Speaker 2: You gotta love that. You gotta love that. All right.
- 57:21Speaker 2: That covers them pretty much. My My favorite was the
- 57:25Speaker 2: skillet where your your heartsh just text you. That didn't
- 57:30Speaker 2: work out well for him. All right, Well, we're just
- 57:33Speaker 2: about at break time, going back to Oh I got it,
- 57:39Speaker 2: I got one more. Uh. The guy's at a funeral
- 57:44Speaker 2: at the church, and he asked the priest what's the
- 57:49Speaker 2: WiFi password? And the priest looks at him and he said,
- 57:54Speaker 2: have some respect for the dead. And the guy said,
- 57:58Speaker 2: is that small letters are capital? That was great. I
- 58:07Speaker 2: thought that was great. But anyway, going back to the
- 58:11Speaker 2: police stuff, I think we need to quit police chases.
- 58:16Speaker 2: Bad guys most of the time get caught somewhere, and
- 58:22Speaker 2: nowadays there's enough technology to catch them. And there's too
- 58:26Speaker 2: many videos where mistakes were made and people see this
- 58:32Speaker 2: and they're scared, and it's really sad because I remember
- 58:35Speaker 2: growing up as a kid, we knew the deputy sheriff
- 58:39Speaker 2: to patrol the neighborhood. He was friendly and nobody ever
- 58:43Speaker 2: had any fear growing up like that. It was just
- 58:45Speaker 2: a normal. He was just another one of the people
- 58:48Speaker 2: that worked in the county, and my mom worked at
- 58:52Speaker 2: the courthouse, so what I had a whole different kind
- 58:56Speaker 2: of thing there. But nowadays it is scary. I don't
- 59:01Speaker 2: care who you are. If you look up in your
- 59:03Speaker 2: rearview mirror and you see a cop, unless he's a relative,
- 59:08Speaker 2: people just scared. They have a little Booker factor. I
- 59:12Speaker 2: remember the deputy here in the neighborhood. Remember I told you, guys.
- 59:16Speaker 2: I stopped and talked to him one day about the
- 59:19Speaker 2: dogs attacking us, and I asked him, I said, are
- 59:24Speaker 2: you know are you one of them guys that considers
- 59:27Speaker 2: yourself a peace officer, protect and serve? And before I
- 59:33Speaker 2: could even say law enforcement, he said, peace officer, protect
- 59:40Speaker 2: and serve. He said, I'm old school. And I love that.
- 59:43Speaker 2: I mean, because somehow we got into this thing about
- 59:47Speaker 2: law enforcement and everybody says it, and I just think
- 59:51Speaker 2: it's wrong. I don't want guys enforcing laws. I want
- 59:55Speaker 2: them public servants, peace officers, protect and serve, And we
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: have so much better world if that's the way it worked.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: All right, Well, we are at break time. This is
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: doctor Cooper's Natural Health Hours. It is October twenty ninth

- 1:02:27Speaker 4: Woman, she don't be me she bed, I've had a
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: comment to me, but I wanted in that way.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: I think that any of its should do it, so I.
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: Don't undernet.
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: That they would be bun house and said nothing yet.
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: Baby, just it's nothing yet.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: There's something that's you're never get from a baby.
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: You just think yet that's what can you at?
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: It around?
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: And now I'm man and.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: Gods I found down the shore.
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: She's coming.
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: We do it doctor and he put me up of you.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: They said that ending up is good enough. So I
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: think what I could get, there's what I could get
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: in and s could be remembered. But that it's it.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: You may say nothing again from.
- 1:03:54Speaker 8: A baby, there's something, there's something you forget.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: You know, you know, you know, you're just nothing yet.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: All right, we are back, Welcome back to everybody did
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: Doctor Grouper's Natural Health Hours bill. It is too bad
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: you can't see the placemat at the moment because Mushy
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: outdid himself. It is so cool looking. It's got a
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: wheel and it says bad joke. I've never heard that
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: on our show. And Mushy song and stop me blair
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: Pad song. It's just it's just downright ridiculous. I just
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: can't imagine anyway. We are back and it is that
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: time for Bill to jump into the weekly topic. So
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: Bill take it away.
- 1:04:56Speaker 6: Yeah, Okay, I was, And that's something I've been been
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: kind of mulling around for several weeks, but it kind
- 1:05:03Speaker 6: of got pulled into focus this week. I don't know
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: if you guys have ever heard of a college called
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: Hillsdale College. It's up in Wisconsin's a very conservative school
- 1:05:15Speaker 6: and they put out a monthly publication that is usually
- 1:05:20Speaker 6: a synopsis of a speech that was given on campus,
- 1:05:24Speaker 6: and this one it kind of caught my eye because
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: I thought it was right on its kind of what
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: we were talking about a little bit before before we
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: went on on the air. But it was really a
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: cultural issue that's kind of come up to the front.
- 1:05:48Speaker 6: And this particular speech, which was given in September of
- 1:05:53Speaker 6: this year by a woman whose name is Miranda Divine
- 1:05:59Speaker 6: and he writes for a couple of national newspapers as
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: well as in uh in Australia as well, where she lived.
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: But this particular speech is called Wawlessness is a choice.
- 1:06:19Speaker 6: Lawlessness is a choice. And it started off by I'm
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: not sure if it was a paraphrase or a quote,
- 1:06:29Speaker 6: but a representative from the federal from from from the
- 1:06:35Speaker 6: House of Representatives, the federal government, a woman from Texas
- 1:06:39Speaker 6: and I'm thinking Southeast. I don't know where this woman's
- 1:06:42Speaker 6: district is, but her name is Jasmine Crockett said, just
- 1:06:50Speaker 6: because someone commits a crime, it doesn't make them be
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: a criminal.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:00Speaker 6: It's kind of an interesting idea because if you look
- 1:07:03Speaker 6: up criminal in the dictionary, it says a criminal is
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: someone who commits a crime. What this brought to mind
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: was this governmental liberal push to decriminalize everything. And you
- 1:07:21Speaker 6: look at the bozo who's running for mayor in New
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: York who wants to make absolutely nothing be a crime
- 1:07:29Speaker 6: because you know, the only reason people do this is
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: because they need it. You know, they need whatever they steal.
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: But to the whole, the whole concept of not understanding
- 1:07:45Speaker 6: what the fundamental one of one of the several fundamentals
- 1:07:49Speaker 6: of civilization is is a sense of stability, a sense
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: of law and order, and a sense of everybody agreeing
- 1:08:04Speaker 6: that there are certain behaviors that are not acceptable and
- 1:08:08Speaker 6: that there should be a reciprocity for that. There's the
- 1:08:14Speaker 6: difficulty with that is that in most of it. You
- 1:08:18Speaker 6: look back at most of the major civilizations in the
- 1:08:21Speaker 6: world where it was European or even as Tecan or
- 1:08:25Speaker 6: the Incas, or the Romans, or the Greeks, or the
- 1:08:32Speaker 6: Egyptians or the Mesopotamians, that the whole concept of what
- 1:08:37Speaker 6: constitutes a civilization is pretty much determined by the majority
- 1:08:44Speaker 6: of people. There is always a group of people in
- 1:08:51Speaker 6: any one of those our civilization included. And I make
- 1:08:54Speaker 6: a difference between American civilization and European civilization, although they're
- 1:08:59Speaker 6: both Western civilisations. There's always a group of people who
- 1:09:04Speaker 6: know they don't do that, they think that they don't
- 1:09:07Speaker 6: need to do that. This is this is kind of
- 1:09:12Speaker 6: what the focus of this saying thing. Well, you know,
- 1:09:15Speaker 6: if just because you commit a crime doesn't mean you're
- 1:09:19Speaker 6: a criminal. Yeah, it does basically. And it is the
- 1:09:27Speaker 6: problem that I have with the title of the speech.
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: If lawlessness is a choice, I think for people who
- 1:09:37Speaker 6: maintain that semblance of civilization, lawlessness is a choice. But
- 1:09:45Speaker 6: for people who live within that cultural structure, who do
- 1:09:49Speaker 6: not conform to the strictures of that particular civilization, it's
- 1:09:58Speaker 6: not a man If it is a true choice, it's
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: what I call a default choice. It's like, you know,
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: if you decide not to make a choice about something,
- 1:10:07Speaker 6: you've made a choice, but you've decided that you're not
- 1:10:10Speaker 6: going to make a choice here, I'm not going to
- 1:10:12Speaker 6: do this. And so certain behaviors in certain groups of
- 1:10:16Speaker 6: these people. And we find this more in inner cities
- 1:10:20Speaker 6: than we do any place in large metropolitan areas, and
- 1:10:22Speaker 6: inner cities particular then we do in other parts of
- 1:10:25Speaker 6: our culture. It's because the whole concept of theft or
- 1:10:33Speaker 6: violence or hatred are not seen as aberrations from that
- 1:10:42Speaker 6: particular microculture, of that particular way of looking at things.
- 1:10:46Speaker 6: So to say that they make a choice to be lawless,
- 1:10:51Speaker 6: I don't think that's right. I think they're just adhering
- 1:10:54Speaker 6: to their own set of rules, which is in conflict
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: with the larger cultural matters that you describe our civilization.
- 1:11:01Speaker 6: And you look at the civilizations of Rome, or Egypt,
- 1:11:04Speaker 6: or Mesterta, even even the as Texts, even even the Mayans,
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: those civilizations ultimately dissolved and disintegrated because of either invasion
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: by a more primitive society or from more more primitive
- 1:11:23Speaker 6: societies already within that culture. And we're looking at I
- 1:11:28Speaker 6: think a lot of what we're seeing today in terms
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: of violence in UH in the cities is essentially an
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: extension of a tribal culture. I think there are ethnic
- 1:11:42Speaker 6: groups tend to tend to live together, tend to hang
- 1:11:44Speaker 6: out together. They have their own sub rules that are
- 1:11:49Speaker 6: maybe occasionally in accord with the larger cultural values, but
- 1:11:55Speaker 6: maybe maybe not so much. And so I'm thinking that
- 1:12:00Speaker 6: that while the lawlessness is something that occur, I don't
- 1:12:04Speaker 6: I don't think I have ever met anybody who, at
- 1:12:06Speaker 6: some point or other has not broken a law. Either
- 1:12:12Speaker 6: run a red light, or you go too fast, or
- 1:12:15Speaker 6: you inadvertently walk out of a store with something that
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: you've forgotten to pay for. We do a lot of
- 1:12:21Speaker 6: that kind of stuff. But that's not really to be
- 1:12:25Speaker 6: a kind of uh concerted effort to be lawless. It
- 1:12:34Speaker 6: just kind of happens that we're still bringing the law.
- 1:12:37Speaker 6: And if we if we go too fast, we get
- 1:12:40Speaker 6: pulled over, we we're going to get fined. There, We're
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: going to get a ticket, and we're going to pay
- 1:12:45Speaker 6: the fine, and we accept that responsibility. And I think
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: this is another aspect. And I think to the larger point,
- 1:12:52Speaker 6: what the what mster I was talking about in her
- 1:12:55Speaker 6: speech was the government politicians not so much, but politicians
- 1:13:05Speaker 6: in order to get reelected and become softer and softer
- 1:13:08Speaker 6: on crime. They've put judges in place that let people
- 1:13:10Speaker 6: out of jail that don't they don't prosecute them. We've
- 1:13:14Speaker 6: got prosecutors that go after folks that they really shouldn't
- 1:13:17Speaker 6: be wasting their time on. The whole system has kind
- 1:13:21Speaker 6: of bogged down in a sense that nobody can do
- 1:13:27Speaker 6: anything wrong because there really isn't any wrong. Everything's fine
- 1:13:30Speaker 6: no matter what you do, you've got a reason for it,
- 1:13:32Speaker 6: and society is to blame for it the whole, the
- 1:13:39Speaker 6: whole aspect of And I think we're taught this early
- 1:13:42Speaker 6: on in school.
- 1:13:43Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:13:45Speaker 6: You as a kid, I has grown up. If I
- 1:13:48Speaker 6: if I'm going to do something stupid, I know there's
- 1:13:50Speaker 6: going to be a consequence for it, and I'm going
- 1:13:52Speaker 6: to have to accept the consequence or I don't do
- 1:13:54Speaker 6: this stupid thing. I don't think that works anymore. And
- 1:13:59Speaker 6: I and I think that the part of the difficulty
- 1:14:02Speaker 6: that we're experiencing is a culture is and we're seeing
- 1:14:05Speaker 6: it basically in a top down situation. It's starting when
- 1:14:09Speaker 6: our politicians are government officials who, in an effort to
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: get re elected all the time are being software on this,
- 1:14:16Speaker 6: and software on that, and more tooler than this. There's
- 1:14:19Speaker 6: no moral compass. There's no moral compass. I was thinking today, you'd,
- 1:14:28Speaker 6: being an old former Navy guy, you know how many
- 1:14:31Speaker 6: cardinal points there are on a compass card. So is
- 1:14:37Speaker 6: there right or wrong?
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:14:39Speaker 6: Our culture determines pretty much right, what's right, or what's wrong.
- 1:14:42Speaker 6: And that's what laws are all about. One of my
- 1:14:49Speaker 6: favorite authors has remarked several times in his books that
- 1:14:55Speaker 6: laws are meant to give us freedom. It gives us
- 1:15:02Speaker 6: freedom from fear. And you said, you talked a moment
- 1:15:05Speaker 6: ago about how we're afraid.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: We all are.
- 1:15:07Speaker 6: Yeah. I think a lot of people are afraid. And
- 1:15:10Speaker 6: I think that they're afraid of the stuff they see
- 1:15:13Speaker 6: on TV, because that's all pretty much slanted anyway. We
- 1:15:19Speaker 6: don't hear about successful thwartings of robberies, or we don't
- 1:15:27Speaker 6: hear about bad guys being apprehended right away on the
- 1:15:32Speaker 6: commission of a crime. We hear about all the bad
- 1:15:34Speaker 6: stuff that happens. And I think if we look at
- 1:15:38Speaker 6: at how the reporting of these incidents is done, we
- 1:15:41Speaker 6: begin to see a pattern that supports the whole thing
- 1:15:45Speaker 6: that the bad guys are the victims. You know, bigod
- 1:15:51Speaker 6: guys aren't the victims or the purpse. It's not a
- 1:15:55Speaker 6: tough concept. And how do we within our own our
- 1:16:01Speaker 6: own sense of self, how do we how do we
- 1:16:04Speaker 6: begin to find a sense of balance with working our
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: way through all this stuff? You know, our politicians are corrupt.
- 1:16:14Speaker 6: How many times has a bill been put forth in
- 1:16:18Speaker 6: a federal Congress to eliminate insider trading? Half a dozen
- 1:16:26Speaker 6: dozen and it gets voted down every time. I just
- 1:16:28Speaker 6: read the other day on the internet that right before
- 1:16:32Speaker 6: the major investigation of a large corporation, Nancy Pelosi sold
- 1:16:37Speaker 6: a huge amount of stock to about an eight plus
- 1:16:42Speaker 6: profit and that investigation hit the news. The stock would
- 1:16:48Speaker 6: a tank that's called insider trading. Congress won't do that.
- 1:16:56Speaker 6: So if there are very role models in the government
- 1:17:02Speaker 6: have no sense of moral compass, no sense of honor
- 1:17:07Speaker 6: or decency. That's one of the things I really began
- 1:17:10Speaker 6: to notice this first with Bill Clinton's presidency, and actually
- 1:17:16Speaker 6: it went back farther to John Kennedy, but go go
- 1:17:19Speaker 6: back that far back. But here is a man who
- 1:17:22Speaker 6: was the president of our country, who's supposed to be
- 1:17:25Speaker 6: an optimal role model for everything that's good and decent
- 1:17:29Speaker 6: and right, and our country comes first, and you know,
- 1:17:33Speaker 6: there's honor, and there's there's trust, and yeah, here he
- 1:17:39Speaker 6: is with Monica Lewinsky in closets in the White House.
- 1:17:42Speaker 6: I what the hell is that all about? And people
- 1:17:45Speaker 6: wonder why we don't have any trust in government. You
- 1:17:48Speaker 6: look at how many people go into government, get elected
- 1:17:51Speaker 6: to government offices that are broke. You know, in a
- 1:17:55Speaker 6: couple of years they're millionaires. We don't hear much about
- 1:17:59Speaker 6: that in the press. Used to be we would back
- 1:18:03Speaker 6: when they had newspapers, they had real reporters. But the
- 1:18:08Speaker 6: lack of moral a moral fiber has been a long
- 1:18:14Speaker 6: process at the generation. They've been going on for fifty
- 1:18:17Speaker 6: sixty years. I think really after now, maybe after the
- 1:18:22Speaker 6: Korean War, but certainly after the Second World War, things
- 1:18:25Speaker 6: began to be different and essentially has progressed. Back back
- 1:18:34Speaker 6: to her point about lawlessness is a choice. No being
- 1:18:41Speaker 6: following the law is a choice. Lawlessness is just let's
- 1:18:47Speaker 6: take what we can get in the hell and everybody else.
- 1:18:51Speaker 6: And I think if the people are afraid I'm much
- 1:18:54Speaker 6: more afraid of of being like Sudan said something at
- 1:19:00Speaker 6: the gas station, or having a home invasion or something
- 1:19:06Speaker 6: about that, than I am being hassled by a cop.
- 1:19:12Speaker 6: Yes there. In fact, the other day I was I
- 1:19:16Speaker 6: was coming back to the house here and I happened
- 1:19:18Speaker 6: to look in my mirror, and Doc's favorite scenario was
- 1:19:21Speaker 6: all I could see was red and blue light slashing
- 1:19:24Speaker 6: and all right, and he was right on my tail.
- 1:19:27Speaker 6: So I pull over and a guy comes up, and
- 1:19:32Speaker 6: I don't know how long he'd been back there. He
- 1:19:34Speaker 6: could have been back there a couple of blocks, I
- 1:19:36Speaker 6: don't know, but anyway, he kind of walked up on
- 1:19:38Speaker 6: the past your side, the nicest guy. He said, first
- 1:19:41Speaker 6: of all, I want to tell you you're not in trouble.
- 1:19:44Speaker 6: I said, okay. First of all, why'd you pull me over?
- 1:19:48Speaker 6: And he said, well, okay. He said, you've got a
- 1:19:51Speaker 6: plastic license plate cover on your rear license and it
- 1:19:54Speaker 6: doesn't look like you have any license plate at all,
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: which is what I saw when you went by. Was
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: here's a with no license plate, and I will pull
- 1:20:02Speaker 6: you over and tell you to get a license. And
- 1:20:05Speaker 6: I saw you had it, and it's because of this
- 1:20:07Speaker 6: particular kind of cover and just get rid of the
- 1:20:10Speaker 6: plastic cover, and that's good, but he says, somebody's going
- 1:20:13Speaker 6: to really hammer you hard if you if you keep
- 1:20:15Speaker 6: driving with that, have a nice day. Okay, got rid
- 1:20:21Speaker 6: of the plastic cover, no problem. I had no idea.
- 1:20:25Speaker 6: The guy at the autopart store said, no, this is
- 1:20:27Speaker 6: a good cover because there are plastic covers that can
- 1:20:30Speaker 6: seal the license plate from the cameras on the toll roads,
- 1:20:35Speaker 6: and apparently this was one of them. But the guy
- 1:20:37Speaker 6: at the car parks store told me it wasn't. How
- 1:20:39Speaker 6: am I supposed to know? So how do we how
- 1:20:44Speaker 6: do we maintain a sense of a balance with all
- 1:20:50Speaker 6: of this kind of stuff? It's very hard. I've talked
- 1:20:52Speaker 6: all off about this for weeks, that trying to maintain
- 1:20:55Speaker 6: a sense of balance when things are so screw it up.
- 1:21:01Speaker 6: And now I'm starting to get all the junk and
- 1:21:03Speaker 6: the mail about vote for me, vote for this, vote
- 1:21:05Speaker 6: for that, is coming to the election time, and all
- 1:21:07Speaker 6: the bs is starting. Yeah whatever, you know, I just
- 1:21:13Speaker 6: don't believe any of it. These guys are in it
- 1:21:16Speaker 6: for whatever they can get out of it, and I
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: don't like to be that cynical about these kinds of things.
- 1:21:22Speaker 6: I like to be cynical about other things, but not
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: about these kinds of things. I think the government should
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: be here for government by and for the people, not
- 1:21:31Speaker 6: just a few. But lawlessness. Lawlessness is not, as I said,
- 1:21:41Speaker 6: it's a default choice. It's a choice that you made
- 1:21:43Speaker 6: by making, not by not making a decision to obey
- 1:21:48Speaker 6: what our culture stands for and what our society expects
- 1:21:52Speaker 6: of us. I think we make the mistake of figuring
- 1:21:54Speaker 6: that everybody, everybody has the same values as we do.
- 1:21:59Speaker 6: Everybody in this country has the same values. No, they
- 1:22:01Speaker 6: don't for some values. For some people, their values of
- 1:22:06Speaker 6: domestic violence or assault or robbery, or that's not a problem.
- 1:22:13Speaker 6: That's not a problem. But it is. And when their
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: values that are so antagonistic to what I think most
- 1:22:25Speaker 6: of us grew up believing in this country was all
- 1:22:27Speaker 6: about when those values become so intrusive. We watch the
- 1:22:33Speaker 6: news in the morning, nothing but bad news, nothing but
- 1:22:39Speaker 6: bad news. As well as this Randolph first said, good
- 1:22:43Speaker 6: news don't sell newspapers. But I think just the incessant
- 1:22:52Speaker 6: exposure to bad news, to evil, to the wrong things
- 1:22:56Speaker 6: that are going on in this country. Where's this out.
- 1:23:01Speaker 5: There?
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: You go, well, I don't know how you thought about it,
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: because you said that he was nice to you when
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: he talked to you. But I'm sitting here thinking what
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: part of protecting, serve, public service and peacekeeping? Did pulling
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: you over to enforce the law that he couldn't read
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: the plate? And you know, it's just why is.
- 1:23:29Speaker 6: It a law if we're not going to enforce the law? Doc,
- 1:23:32Speaker 6: why haven't Well?
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: Right, but when you're out there, it should be protect
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: and serve, public servant and keeping the peace. How did
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: pulling you over for the wrong plate qualify for any
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: of that? And that's how I grew up. That's that's
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: what it was.
- 1:23:54Speaker 6: A protect he's serving the culture, he's serving the law.
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: In fact, if you ask almost any cop out there
- 1:24:02Speaker 6: if they believe in protecting terms, they tell you yes.
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: But it's a different value than when you and I
- 1:24:08Speaker 6: grew up. I mean, you're talking fifty years ago. Things
- 1:24:12Speaker 6: have changed a lot. Bad guys are really bad guys.
- 1:24:16Speaker 6: If you pull a couple of of car over at
- 1:24:18Speaker 6: night and there are five guys in there, did they
- 1:24:22Speaker 6: have guns? Probably everybody's a bad guy down on the
- 1:24:28Speaker 6: ground now. But again you don't ask them, oh, because
- 1:24:32Speaker 6: you please get on the ground. I need to ask
- 1:24:34Speaker 6: you a couple of questions about why you're out late
- 1:24:36Speaker 6: at night driving around with five guys in the car. No,
- 1:24:39Speaker 6: everybody's a bad guy until you find out who's who.
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: But see, uh, what if you're out and your family
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: just got in from the airport on a very red
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: eye flight, just because you got the family in the
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: back of the car, they should assume you're bad until
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: proven different.
- 1:24:59Speaker 6: What were you doing. Were you driving eighty five miles
- 1:25:02Speaker 6: an hour in a thirty five mile an hour zone.
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's that's different. Then then you're doing something
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: that could hurt somebody. But my whole point is, too
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: many times we're enforcing laws that are silly little things.
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: I watch people get a ticket for having their windows
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: tinted too dark. But every cup, but every cop car
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: has got their windows tended as dark as possible.
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: Is there, but they were within the legal limit. And
- 1:25:35Speaker 6: you can get your tent windows tended that are almost
- 1:25:37Speaker 6: impossible to see out of as well as to see into.
- 1:25:42Speaker 6: And if you pull a car over like that at
- 1:25:44Speaker 6: night and you don't know how many folks are in
- 1:25:45Speaker 6: that car or who's in there. Yeah, that's not a
- 1:25:48Speaker 6: good thing. Yeah, well, I never got your vision is
- 1:25:52Speaker 6: so inhibited. Your your vision is so Have you ever
- 1:25:55Speaker 6: driven in a car with those kinds of titted windows
- 1:25:58Speaker 6: that are almost black, can't see out of them? You
- 1:26:01Speaker 6: think that's not a danger to the rest of us? Well, yeah,
- 1:26:04Speaker 6: but how do I know?
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: There was a guy just recently dressed up as a cop,
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: fake cup car, pulled up, knocked on the door, and
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: killed a whole bunch of people. How do I know
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: what the dark tinted windows if it's really a cop.
- 1:26:26Speaker 6: You don't have a bunch of guns. How do you?
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: How do you?
- 1:26:28Speaker 6: Nobody knows? Yeah, yeah, I don't know, I cos I
- 1:26:34Speaker 6: just cocise to that.
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I understand what you're saying. I just I
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: guess I don't like worrying about enforcing laws. A good
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: friend I used to work as the supervisor over the
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: school security for one of the largest schools in the city,
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: and then later on they got their own police force,
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: and he was still in charge of all that, and
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: he said their main jobs were to protect the schools
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: and if there was an alarm, to go check that out.
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: And he said too many times we would call them
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: and they were doing a traffic stop and said, I
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: can't go get that, I can't go do that. Well,
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: he eould remind them that their job is not traffic stop.
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: But that's what they liked. There was a certain power
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: to that. I told you, not too far from where
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: I live, there was a school and I saw all
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: the cop cars sitting out there and I'm driving down
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: the road and they pulled me over about the school
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: zone and it wasn't even the right time yet, And
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: when it happened, they didn't even say I'm sorry, sir. Uh,
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: they just walked away. So we've got a we've got
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: a problem with the mentality that. Yeah, I'm sure they
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: deal with a lot of bad guys, but people are
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: scared because too many things happen to good people, like
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: that naked lady in handcuffs, me getting pulled over for
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: no reason at all because it wasn't time yet. You
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: and a silly plastic license plate is worth pulling you
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: over for, I'd see. I don't agree with that. I
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: think we need to be doing more things to make
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: neighborhoods good again. And and let everybody know you're you're
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: if you've got you patrol the neighborhood who you are
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: and get to know that.
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: I think that's I think if that could happen, that
- 1:28:52Speaker 6: would be great. I don't think it'll ever happen.
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you're probably right, So is he anything?
- 1:29:00Speaker 5: My hand's only about to explode or you know, your
- 1:29:06Speaker 5: house getting raided based upon a h a swatting call,
- 1:29:12Speaker 5: which is where someone wants to to cause you harm,
- 1:29:16Speaker 5: so they call nine one one, supposedly anonymously, you know,
- 1:29:22Speaker 5: and h then the police come and invade your home.
- 1:29:26Speaker 5: So you know, am am I a back to blue person.
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: Absolutely not.
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: I don't.
- 1:29:35Speaker 5: I don't back an entire industry or community or everything's
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: on an individual basis. And I might as well go
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: ahead and say the controversial thing though I haven't said
- 1:29:50Speaker 5: in a long time, Dad gumm it, I don't believe
- 1:29:54Speaker 5: in city police. Uh, they are not bound by the
- 1:30:00Speaker 5: constitution and that they should not exist. County sheriffs is
- 1:30:10Speaker 5: all that a community should have, whether you're in the
- 1:30:15Speaker 5: city limits or not. And to prove my point, your
- 1:30:24Speaker 5: county sheriff is elected by the people, Your police department
- 1:30:30Speaker 5: is hired by your mayor, and your city council. So
- 1:30:35Speaker 5: they are not a.
- 1:30:36Speaker 6: Count political political so that's why.
- 1:30:39Speaker 5: They act the way that they do. Usually I get
- 1:30:43Speaker 5: looked at like I have a third eye in the
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: middle of my head when I say that. But what
- 1:30:49Speaker 5: I do is I look at the person who doesn't
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: understand my point, like they have a third eye in
- 1:30:56Speaker 5: the middle of their brainwashed head. And so so, yeah,
- 1:31:02Speaker 5: there should be absolutely no such thing as city police.
- 1:31:06Speaker 5: And that doesn't mean if you like in Gillespie County.
- 1:31:12Speaker 5: I haven't looked in a while, I don't know how
- 1:31:14Speaker 5: many deputy sheriffs there are. So what you do is,
- 1:31:20Speaker 5: if let's say there's a dozen, there's probably more, okay,
- 1:31:26Speaker 5: And let's say we got rid of the city police
- 1:31:29Speaker 5: in Fredericksburg, please God, So you would have to hire
- 1:31:36Speaker 5: more deputy sheriffs, and the city would be assessed, I'm
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: just I'm thinking out loud, would be assessed their portion
- 1:31:53Speaker 5: of what it would cost to have you know, sheriffs,
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: you know, in the city within the city limits. And
- 1:32:02Speaker 5: I watched lastly, I watched the video. I think we're
- 1:32:05Speaker 5: past break, but I watched a video about a year
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: or so ago that absolutely blew my mind. And there's
- 1:32:14Speaker 5: this guy that's teaching city police, their police chief, uh,
- 1:32:24Speaker 5: their their you know, their beat cops, their squad car cops, whatever,
- 1:32:30Speaker 5: the most radical information. They are the enemy. Remember, the
- 1:32:38Speaker 5: people are the enemy. All that matters is that you
- 1:32:42Speaker 5: come home okay, and here's the tactics that you need
- 1:32:46Speaker 5: to use to brutalize the people that you encounter. And
- 1:32:51Speaker 5: then I went and I did dougs further to see
- 1:32:55Speaker 5: what municipalities were hiring this man and his little crew
- 1:33:00Speaker 5: to teach police departments. And when we had the opportunity
- 1:33:06Speaker 5: to get rid of Buddy Mills here, I literally talked
- 1:33:12Speaker 5: to the candidate that ultimately won and I say, Chris,
- 1:33:17Speaker 5: I want you to watch this video, all of it,
- 1:33:22Speaker 5: and then get back in touch with me and tell
- 1:33:25Speaker 5: me if you're going to allow any of this evil,
- 1:33:32Speaker 5: demonic brown shirt stuff to take place within our sheriff's department.
- 1:33:39Speaker 5: And he literally did. He watched it. He was floored.
- 1:33:42Speaker 5: He never heard of this guy. But there are people
- 1:33:45Speaker 5: out there making a living teaching cops how to brutalize citizens.
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: Yep, yep, and we are past bread that. I wanted
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: to say one thing, Sheriff Mac who we've had on
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: the show before, and he used to be a sheriff,
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: and he used to be his local copy did all
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: that stuff. He said, one of the things that made
- 1:34:10Speaker 2: him quit, the local police stuff is because all they
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: wanted him to do was ruin people's lives by pulling
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: them over and writing tickets so they could get more funding.
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: And he said, too many times he pulled over people
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: and it just it was terrible, and he just felt
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: so bad, so he finally quit. But my thing is
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: today you've got too many cops that have probably dealt
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: with a lot of bad people, a lot of illegal immigrants,
- 1:34:43Speaker 2: and so they're thinking the worst on everybody they pull
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: over before they even talk to him. And you've got
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: an awful lot of people who are scared to death
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: and they've seen all the videos and all that stuff,
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: and it's really bad. And that's why I think we
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: need to get away from this mentality of law enforcement
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: and go back to peacekeepers and public servants and protect
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: and serve. I think that would make things a lot better. Anyway.

- 1:37:28Speaker 3: me out. Of course, she's too so long hothering know.
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: Mother, you know, all right, we are back. What a
- 1:37:52Speaker 2: what a great thing, mother in law. I love it,

- 1:38:01Speaker 2: there is that time of the night where Tequila Susi
- 1:38:04Speaker 2: needs a little help with the name and of her company,
- 1:38:07Speaker 2: and then she's gonna take us down recipe road.
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: The name of the company is Rocks and Dirt Construction, Susie.
- 1:38:19Speaker 5: Clothes. It has something to do with houses too, renovation

- 1:38:40Speaker 5: new construction, and we can also be reached at eight
- 1:38:45Speaker 5: three zero one.
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: All right, take it away, Susi.
- 1:38:52Speaker 5: Okay, oh no, Probably American listeners will remember this recipe.
- 1:39:00Speaker 5: It's pretty big, you know, in the late eighties and
- 1:39:04Speaker 5: the nineties, and that was sausage balls. However, I think
- 1:39:09Speaker 5: maybe this was an invention, if you will, bis Quick,
- 1:39:14Speaker 5: so they could sell more bis Quick. And I do
- 1:39:18Speaker 5: have a recipe where you can make your own Bisquick
- 1:39:22Speaker 5: instead of you know, the poison stuff. But that's for
- 1:39:25Speaker 5: another another show. So this is iincorn sausage balls. And
- 1:39:33Speaker 5: my kids used to love this stuff. I would literally
- 1:39:37Speaker 5: put it together at night and put it on in
- 1:39:44Speaker 5: the morning and it worked out fine that way. So
- 1:39:49Speaker 5: you could do that, you know, like for Christmas morning,
- 1:39:53Speaker 5: and mix it up ahead of night. So you need
- 1:39:58Speaker 5: one pound. This says mild breakfast style sausage. Well, I
- 1:40:03Speaker 5: don't know why it's got to be mild. Do you
- 1:40:05Speaker 5: pick spicy mild? Eight bounces of cream cheese, a cup
- 1:40:10Speaker 5: of shredded cheddar cheese, and two cups of all purpose
- 1:40:16Speaker 5: iron corn flour and preheat your oven to three point
- 1:40:22Speaker 5: fifty and then just put parchment paper on a baking sheet.
- 1:40:27Speaker 5: And I find the easiest way to do this is
- 1:40:31Speaker 5: in a stand mixer. When you put the paddle attachment on,
- 1:40:36Speaker 5: it just helps break all that up. You might want
- 1:40:39Speaker 5: to crumble your sausage in there by hand, because that
- 1:40:43Speaker 5: can be you know, a little hard to break apart.
- 1:40:47Speaker 5: And then your softened cream cheese and then your cheddar
- 1:40:53Speaker 5: cheese and your iron corn flour. Do this on a
- 1:41:00Speaker 5: medium speed until it's all mixed, all combined well, and
- 1:41:06Speaker 5: then using like a medium sized cookie, scoop or spoon
- 1:41:11Speaker 5: or whatever you know, make yourself, you know, some little
- 1:41:15Speaker 5: balls and play something about two inches apart. They don't
- 1:41:21Speaker 5: really spread or rise that much, and then bake them
- 1:41:28Speaker 5: for twenty five minutes. And I mean this could be,
- 1:41:34Speaker 5: you know, for a football game, and I don't know,
- 1:41:37Speaker 5: I don't guess anyone's gonna care about basketball, uh wink wink,
- 1:41:43Speaker 5: they probably will. And or just you know, a yummy treat,
- 1:41:51Speaker 5: a healthy treat if you will, especially with the iron
- 1:41:54Speaker 5: corn flour for your kids, for yourself, and they all
- 1:42:00Speaker 5: so well if you put them in an air airtight container,
- 1:42:07Speaker 5: and I cannot imagine having any leftover. Let's see how
- 1:42:13Speaker 5: many of this recipe makes. It doesn't tell you. It
- 1:42:19Speaker 5: says twenty. And so, like always, I will put this
- 1:42:24Speaker 5: in the chat and the comments section at our rumble
- 1:42:30Speaker 5: by the way, that is doctor d R. Krupa's Natural
- 1:42:35Speaker 5: Health hours at Rumble. And we're kind of stuck on followers,
- 1:42:41Speaker 5: so if y'all want to head over there and give
- 1:42:43Speaker 5: us a follow, it's free, and it helps, you know,
- 1:42:47Speaker 5: get our fabulous show out to more people. And that's
- 1:42:52Speaker 5: it pretty simple.
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: Sounds good. Kind of reminded me. Of those Scotch eggs
- 1:42:59Speaker 2: used to get it runners out. It was all sausage,
- 1:43:04Speaker 2: and I think they had an egg in a aried center.
- 1:43:07Speaker 5: Yeah, a hard boiled egg generally in the center of
- 1:43:11Speaker 5: the sausage on the outside. There's a place here in
- 1:43:16Speaker 5: Fredericksburg that sells them. I think it's called the Brewery.
- 1:43:20Speaker 5: I had them there once. I tried to make them
- 1:43:22Speaker 5: at home and no one really liked them. But the
- 1:43:26Speaker 5: sausage balls, yeah, these are very you know, I cannot
- 1:43:33Speaker 5: believe these words are coming out of my mouth, but
- 1:43:36Speaker 5: the sausage ball recipes, especially the bis Quick one is vintage.
- 1:43:44Speaker 9: Yikes.
- 1:43:46Speaker 2: Well they sound good makes me hungry just thinking about them.
- 1:43:50Speaker 5: They are, and they're super easy. And I've even, like
- 1:43:54Speaker 5: you talked about on your meatballs, minced up jalapeno really
- 1:44:00Speaker 5: fine and mixed it in there. And uh yeah, those
- 1:44:06Speaker 5: that are old enough listening probably remember sausage balls. I mean,
- 1:44:10Speaker 5: whose mama didn't whip out, you know, a box abyss
- 1:44:15Speaker 5: Quick and sausage and Chadary cheese and what the sausage does.
- 1:44:20Speaker 5: And yes it's raw, that's why you're cooking it for
- 1:44:22Speaker 5: twenty five minutes. It kind of holds everything together.
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: Sounds good, Bill, anything, No.
- 1:44:33Speaker 6: It does shelp. It does sound good. It's just yeah,
- 1:44:37Speaker 6: I haven't heard of those for Oh, I don't want
- 1:44:41Speaker 6: to use your word vintage, but it's been decades.
- 1:44:45Speaker 2: Well, you gotta remember she's she's a little self conscious.
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: She just had a birthday. And then I played that
- 1:44:51Speaker 2: wonderful song for.
- 1:44:54Speaker 5: Yeah, it sucks game old.
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: I love that song. It starts off what a drag
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: it is getting old?
- 1:45:02Speaker 5: I heard of drag.
- 1:45:05Speaker 2: There's an old song that you, guys and Mushi would
- 1:45:09Speaker 2: really like this. It says I was looking back to
- 1:45:12Speaker 2: see if you were looking back to see if I
- 1:45:14Speaker 2: was looking back to see if you were looking back
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: at me. That tell me that hate country. Funny stuff.
- 1:45:25Speaker 2: Funny stuff. Oh, Bill, And I forgot to tell on
- 1:45:30Speaker 2: her last week. So I want to make sure that
- 1:45:33Speaker 2: you know that she has cheated on us and she
- 1:45:37Speaker 2: got caught. She actually confessed to sending care packages, but
- 1:45:43Speaker 2: not to you and me, and far be.
- 1:45:46Speaker 6: It from me.
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: Well we're special, she said, Oh, I guess I told
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: on myself, didn't I? I said, yeah, you did. I
- 1:46:02Speaker 2: like them sausage balls. That would be a good thing
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: for her to make her pennance. I always love you
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: go to a Catholic church and you go to the confessional,
- 1:46:14Speaker 2: and you could say I murdered forty three thousand people,
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: drove over the sky's farm, burned his house to the ground.
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: My son say five Hail Mary's and a couple of
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: our fathers, and don't do it again. That was always
- 1:46:36Speaker 2: funny to me. That's something that I gave up on
- 1:46:40Speaker 2: very quick when I wasn't in school and they made
- 1:46:42Speaker 2: me do that stuff it. I quit that quickly. Any
- 1:46:46Speaker 2: of you guys ever do that? Go to a Catholic confessional.
- 1:46:50Speaker 5: I never confessed to a man, a man who puts
- 1:46:53Speaker 5: his pants on the same way I do.
- 1:46:58Speaker 2: I'm kind of worried how you know how he puts
- 1:47:00Speaker 2: his pence on?
- 1:47:01Speaker 5: But that's one.
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: How about you, Bill? Did you ever go to a.
- 1:47:09Speaker 6: Why Why would I do a thing like Why would
- 1:47:13Speaker 6: I do a thing like that?
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. You used to work play in
- 1:47:16Speaker 2: the organ. I didn't know if he ever did it
- 1:47:18Speaker 2: in a Catholic church.
- 1:47:19Speaker 6: They have those in Protestant churches too.
- 1:47:24Speaker 2: Oh, I've never seen one in them, of course, I've
- 1:47:26Speaker 2: never been in very many.
- 1:47:29Speaker 6: Uh not confessionals. I'm talking about organs. Oh, you're the
- 1:47:34Speaker 6: only people that apparently need to confess. I guess they just,
- 1:47:38Speaker 6: you know, don't need to confess.
- 1:47:41Speaker 2: I always thought it was funny they say, you're supposed
- 1:47:44Speaker 2: to go in and say, bless me father, for I
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: have sinned? How much time you got?
- 1:47:50Speaker 5: How many times did the father sand well the earthly mother?
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: Can I have some of that wine? That's what I
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: wanted to ask, But I really didn't like wine, so
- 1:48:03Speaker 2: that wouldn't go over well. But I'm sure they had
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: good booze.
- 1:48:07Speaker 5: Well, I don't know why you didn't ask me all
- 1:48:10Speaker 5: of a sudden what the temperature was.
- 1:48:12Speaker 2: Oh, you know, I forgot all about that. You were
- 1:48:15Speaker 2: hoping for cold weather, did you get it?
- 1:48:19Speaker 5: It has been so windy all day long, and fifty
- 1:48:23Speaker 5: three degrees at the start of show, and so we're
- 1:48:27Speaker 5: supposed to get down to thirty eight degrees tonight and
- 1:48:30Speaker 5: someone's going to have to tap me out of building
- 1:48:32Speaker 5: a fire in the fireplace.
- 1:48:34Speaker 2: How cool? Yeah, we were at literally eighty four this morning. Now,
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: my front door one is always warmer than the back
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: because it's sits closer to the house, so it's a
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: sixty five, but that means it's usually cooler out there,
- 1:48:50Speaker 2: thirty percent humidity. Uh, but we didn't have thirty eight
- 1:48:55Speaker 2: in the forecast. It's funny. It's been real windy here too, Bill,
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: real windy where you're at. Oh yeah, yeah, that's a
- 1:49:06Speaker 2: pretty big front that can make it windy from Susy
- 1:49:10Speaker 2: and Steves area all the way down here. Kind of crazy.
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: Maybe our government, yeah, maybe our government's working on the
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: weather up there at that uh, those towers and nothing
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: would surprise me. And you know what's funny, The weather
- 1:49:33Speaker 2: people and the far left crazies are so upset that
- 1:49:39Speaker 2: they don't have a hurricane hitting land and killing a
- 1:49:43Speaker 2: bunch of people and flooding everything. And I mean you
- 1:49:46Speaker 2: could just hear them. They're talking about that that Earth,
- 1:49:49Speaker 2: I mean, that hurricane that's in the Caribbean right now
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: and it's making a sharp uh. I guess it's making
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: a right turn and looks like it's gonna did some
- 1:50:03Speaker 2: damage to some islands, but nothing like what they were
- 1:50:06Speaker 2: hoping for. And they just all look so disappointed when
- 1:50:10Speaker 2: they talk about it. And I'm thinking, thank you God,
- 1:50:13Speaker 2: don't let it hit animals, people, homes, businesses, or property.
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: So it's been a real quiet season. That's another wonderful thing.
- 1:50:23Speaker 2: And I'm grateful for it because I don't like them storms.
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: And living here in Houston is not cool. About that
- 1:50:31Speaker 2: we're only about maybe fifty miles from the ocean. That's
- 1:50:37Speaker 2: not good. Not good. All right, So anything on your mind, Sissy,
- 1:50:43Speaker 2: you want to talk about before we close up?
- 1:50:45Speaker 5: Oh that's dangerous.
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: Yeah, but we're used to.
- 1:50:53Speaker 5: I can't think of anything yet, it'll happen. You should
- 1:50:58Speaker 5: ask Bill.
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: All right, Well, ask Bill, And just so you know, says,
- 1:51:02Speaker 2: anytime I ask you those questions, we put a rubber
- 1:51:06Speaker 2: force field around you so you can't hurt anything.
- 1:51:10Speaker 5: It should be a rubber force field around me so
- 1:51:14Speaker 5: that I don't hurt me.
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: Yeah, you have tried to commit suicide by jumping off
- 1:51:21Speaker 2: a four foot deck fifteen times and it didn't work.
- 1:51:26Speaker 5: No, just once.
- 1:51:29Speaker 2: That, Bill, you got something up your sleeve you want
- 1:51:34Speaker 2: to talk about before we close up.
- 1:51:37Speaker 6: Yeah, you haven't said anything about Halloween. And I was thinking,
- 1:51:44Speaker 6: it's always seemed to be such a funny, a funny name, Halloween.
- 1:51:50Speaker 6: But the day after Halloween is all Hello's Day, all
- 1:51:55Speaker 6: Saints Day, and Hello essentially means sacred or holy. This
- 1:52:01Speaker 6: hallowed Ground I think was in the Gettysburg address sacred ground.
- 1:52:07Speaker 6: But all all Hallows Eve is All Saints Day, and
- 1:52:12Speaker 6: Halloween is really a contraction of Hallows Even and Hallows
- 1:52:19Speaker 6: Even before All Saints Day, the evening before even they
- 1:52:23Speaker 6: talked about eventide or evening, and Halloween is just kind
- 1:52:28Speaker 6: of a and it used to be pre Christian time.
- 1:52:32Speaker 5: It was.
- 1:52:33Speaker 6: It was one of the two major festivals in Druid
- 1:52:39Speaker 6: England and Europe. It was a harvest festival. It was
- 1:52:42Speaker 6: a very big, very big festival, and like so many
- 1:52:46Speaker 6: other pagan festivals, that was taken over by the Church
- 1:52:51Speaker 6: and sort of transition would be a little smoother, and
- 1:52:54Speaker 6: a lot of the sacredness was taken out of Hallows
- 1:52:59Speaker 6: Eve and Sacred Evening and I and I think it's
- 1:53:04Speaker 6: it's kind of kind of a special day if we
- 1:53:08Speaker 6: can kind of get back into that understanding of really
- 1:53:14Speaker 6: what it is and where it came from. And it's
- 1:53:16Speaker 6: just not kids walk around with stupid costumes on eating
- 1:53:21Speaker 6: a bunch of bad candy. It's it really was was
- 1:53:24Speaker 6: a much more significant event than that we that's but
- 1:53:29Speaker 6: as I say, I haven't had any anybody talking about
- 1:53:32Speaker 6: Halloween is coming up in a couple of days.
- 1:53:37Speaker 2: Well, you know, when you don't have little kids anymore,
- 1:53:39Speaker 2: it's not that big of a deal. And unless you
- 1:53:42Speaker 2: are a little kid, is not But and and most
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: of the world, isn't that day of the Dead celebrating
- 1:53:51Speaker 2: the dead?
- 1:53:53Speaker 6: Well, I think that's a different day. I might be
- 1:53:55Speaker 6: wrong about that, but I think that's a different day.
- 1:53:58Speaker 2: Oh, I was thinking that was.
- 1:53:59Speaker 6: How celebrating Yeah, no, this is celebrating the Saints, All Saints.
- 1:54:04Speaker 2: Day, Okay, because I always remember Da Delos.
- 1:54:11Speaker 6: Or something of that nature, and I thought that was
- 1:54:16Speaker 6: Halloween Spanish is interesting. Yeah, No, I don't think it is.
- 1:54:20Speaker 6: I think that Day of the Dead is a different
- 1:54:22Speaker 6: a different time, a different holiday.
- 1:54:25Speaker 2: Well, I think you're probably right, because I've never heard
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: anybody say that. I don't think much about Halloween since
- 1:54:33Speaker 2: we don't have kids anymore. Little kids, when you were little,
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: it was fun and you get to get all that
- 1:54:39Speaker 2: candying and everybody was excited. It was it was that
- 1:54:44Speaker 2: nobody had any idea why they celebrated Halloween, but it
- 1:54:47Speaker 2: was fun for the kids.
- 1:54:50Speaker 6: Yeah, kind of like Christmas.
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the only Christmas is so cool when you
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: can watch the little kids. Yeah, that's that's a fun thing.
- 1:55:04Speaker 2: And I remember growing up we used to go to
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: on Christmas Day. We'd go to one grandparents house and
- 1:55:12Speaker 2: and then the other grandparents house. And the one grandparents
- 1:55:16Speaker 2: did not drink or do anything like that. So the
- 1:55:19Speaker 2: grandparents house that we went to last was the ones
- 1:55:23Speaker 2: that drank and watch football, you know all that stuff.
- 1:55:31Speaker 2: I remember my uh, the man that raised me his
- 1:55:34Speaker 2: the family was all German, and then on my mom's side,
- 1:55:39Speaker 2: I guess they were Scottish because it was hill And
- 1:55:43Speaker 2: I know this. People from Scotland used to come to
- 1:55:46Speaker 2: Missouri all the time. So a lot of a lot
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: of good drinking people in them countries.
- 1:55:56Speaker 5: What was it?
- 1:55:56Speaker 2: Ben Franklin said that God truly loves us, he gave
- 1:56:00Speaker 2: gave us beer, and thanks to Winston Churchill, we have
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: a cigar that's called the Churchill which I'm going to
- 1:56:13Speaker 2: have one of those in a little while. See, you
- 1:56:19Speaker 2: got to have some vices. You guys that don't have vices,
- 1:56:21Speaker 2: I feel bad for you. We don't have to go
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: to confession though, Yeah, I don't go to confession anyway.
- 1:56:30Speaker 2: When I was a kid, we were in Catholic school,
- 1:56:35Speaker 2: and I made it to the sixth grade and I
- 1:56:38Speaker 2: couldn't take it no more, and I begged my parents
- 1:56:43Speaker 2: to put me into public school. Had a real cool
- 1:56:46Speaker 2: junior high, real new It was just fabulous. They had
- 1:56:50Speaker 2: a softball team. I got to play, and it was
- 1:56:54Speaker 2: just great. Of course, my grades went right to hell,
- 1:56:58Speaker 2: but I had a great time and I made made
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: the softball team and got to travel and do all
- 1:57:02Speaker 2: that with the team. It was a lot of fun.
- 1:57:05Speaker 2: But Catholic school was rough. I mean you had to
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: go to church every single morning, and if you got
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: out of line, them nuns could handle it.
- 1:57:18Speaker 3: You were not.
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: I mean they still dressed in the traditional nuns where
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: and they did not tolerate anything. You messed up, the
- 1:57:27Speaker 2: pointer came out and you got whacked.
- 1:57:31Speaker 5: That's horrible.
- 1:57:33Speaker 2: Well that was what it was. I'm pretty sure no
- 1:57:42Speaker 2: terrorists would have ever overtaken the school because them nuns
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: would have been them. It had never made it.
- 1:57:53Speaker 5: My mother used to say, y'all, cut it out. They're
- 1:57:57Speaker 5: I'm going to beat you within it into your life.
- 1:57:59Speaker 5: And I never knew what that meant, and she never
- 1:58:03Speaker 5: beat us, but it always scared me.
- 1:58:06Speaker 2: I bet it.
- 1:58:07Speaker 5: I mean, what does it mean within an inch of
- 1:58:09Speaker 5: your life, you know, not two inches? Within an inch?
- 1:58:15Speaker 5: So but she would also say cut it out, or
- 1:58:19Speaker 5: I'm going to pinch your head off.
- 1:58:21Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I've heard that.
- 1:58:23Speaker 5: She never pinched our heads off, but we took it seriously,
- 1:58:28Speaker 5: so I don't know. We were a bunch of gullible little.
- 1:58:33Speaker 2: My neighbor's dad used to say knock it off, or
- 1:58:38Speaker 2: I'm going to cut your water off, and I had
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: never heard that before. That was different.
- 1:58:45Speaker 5: Well, I mean I've heard it all. Cut it out,
- 1:58:47Speaker 5: or I'll give you something to cry about, or Susney Lane,
- 1:58:51Speaker 5: you know better. I mean, it really did suck being
- 1:58:55Speaker 5: the oldest because I didn't want to know better.
- 1:59:03Speaker 2: And Bill, you were an only child, so I bet
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: you got away with murder. Yeah right, there's only one kid.
- 1:59:12Speaker 2: They can watch everything you do. When you have brothers
- 1:59:15Speaker 2: and sisters, you could spread it around a little bit.
- 1:59:20Speaker 6: Yeah, but our mom would get that hair brush out,
- 1:59:23Speaker 6: and I knew it was about to get ugly.
- 1:59:28Speaker 2: It's so funny when you look back to the way
- 1:59:30Speaker 2: we all grew up. They used to smoke in the house,
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: they used to drink when they were pregnant funny times,
- 1:59:39Speaker 2: and we all kind of survived, all right. I heard,
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: I heard the cuckoo clock. Any last thing, Suzzy before
- 1:59:46Speaker 2: we start shutting it down.
- 1:59:49Speaker 5: Yeah, no seatbelts and we rode in the back of pickups.
- 1:59:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I hate seatbelts. You ride a motorcycle and
- 1:59:58Speaker 2: they tell you what you're in the car though you
- 2:00:00Speaker 2: need a seatbelt. I mean absolutely crazy and I'm certainly
- 2:00:04Speaker 2: not wearing a seatbelt on a motorcycle. All right, Well,
- 2:00:07Speaker 2: ladies and gentlemen, we thank you so much. Again. This
- 2:00:10Speaker 2: week we had twenty something nations listening to us. It
- 2:00:16Speaker 2: was just absolutely fabulous. We even had something pop up.
- 2:00:22Speaker 2: You know how we always get different nations. Well, this
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: time the very bottom one says other. I don't know
- 2:00:30Speaker 2: what that means, not enough people to have their own country.
- 2:00:36Speaker 2: They caught somebody in the middle of the ocean listening
- 2:00:39Speaker 2: on his boat. I don't know, but it said other,
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: and that was kind of funny. Let me see if
- 2:00:45Speaker 2: I can pull it up and I'll just mention it
- 2:00:48Speaker 2: real quick before we disappear. Yeah, right right before Uruguay,
- 2:00:55Speaker 2: it says other. And they had a half a percent
- 2:00:59Speaker 2: listening to us. That's kind of cool. So maybe wherever
- 2:01:03Speaker 2: you are, yeah, whoever you are, another, we're glad you're here.
- 2:01:08Speaker 2: All right, Well, what listeners, So wherever they're at, it's
- 2:01:16Speaker 2: got to be a certain percent to show up, Like
- 2:01:19Speaker 2: right now, we have forty eight oh no, excuse me,
- 2:01:23Speaker 2: twenty eight percent in Brazil, about five in Australia and England,
- 2:01:33Speaker 2: and it goes all the way down. But there's a
- 2:01:36Speaker 2: few of them that it's half a percent listening to us.
- 2:01:40Speaker 2: So anyway, ladies and gentlemen, I am so grateful you're here.
- 2:01:43Speaker 2: We have a wonderful team. When you check out the graphics,
- 2:01:48Speaker 2: Susy and our producer do them. And Susy said tonight
- 2:01:52Speaker 2: he did most of them. They're very cool, always making
- 2:01:56Speaker 2: fun of me. I have my feelings hurt. But anyway,
- 2:02:02Speaker 2: I know you love these guys as much as I do.
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: It's a great team. We have a lot of fun.
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: Hopefully we bring you some things that you didn't know,
- 2:02:11Speaker 2: and some great recipes and weekly topics and just a
- 2:02:16Speaker 2: little bit of everything. So anyway, may God bless you
- 2:02:20Speaker 2: all with health and happiness, keep your lives peaceful, free
- 2:02:27Speaker 2: and safe. And very importantly, it is time for good Scotch,
- 2:02:32Speaker 2: good cigars, and good night.
- 2:02:37Speaker 5: At all, Good night everyone, God bless.
- 2:02:41Speaker 11: Seems the love I've known has always been the most
- 2:02:45Speaker 11: destructive kind. Guess that's why now I feel so old
- 2:02:52Speaker 11: before my time. Yesterday, when I was, the taste of
- 2:03:02Speaker 11: life was sweeper as rain upon my tongue. I teased
- 2:03:07Speaker 11: at length, as if it were a foolish game, the
- 2:03:12Speaker 11: way that even breathes may tease a candle flame. The
- 2:03:17Speaker 11: thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I plan
