- John Adams: Welcome to another episode of the Health Tech and Wellness Podcast. I'm John Adams. Crystal Nevedale: And I'm Crystal Nevadale. John Adams: And Crystal, I just kind of was doing some homework for today's episode and I tripped over something that was kind of fun and I kind of got in a little deeper than I probably should have, but I was like, you know what? This really could be perfect for our app or for this episode. They were trying to figure out what your mental age is with these questions and there was 15 of them and not really your age, not are you like 50 or 80, just what your mental age are. 50 and you're mentally 13 or whatever, right? But as I started doing it, I started thinking to myself, I don't know if it's really your age or not, but let's, get into it. So kind of here's what we want to do. It's going to tell us how we react to things. It's going to kind of make us think about a few things. And I'll be honest at first, I thought that this was just going to be one of those random things online again. But like I said, when I got into this, was like, We have to talk about this. So here's what we're gonna do. I wanna take and I'm gonna give the whole list of questions. I've got them on my phone. And we're gonna go through the questions and I'm gonna read them out loud. And I'm gonna give answers, multiple choice. A, here's the answer. B, here's the answer. C, here's the answer. D, here's the answer. And I want all of our listeners to think about their answer. And then me and Crystal are going to also answer. Now, we're going to say our answers live on here. But don't listen to our answer and change your answers. Don't overthink it. don't... There's no right answer. There's no wrong answer. Basically, you know, be honest with yourself because at the end of the day, if you're not honest about this, it doesn't do you any good. But I think that we're all going to learn something about ourselves if we do this the right way. So ⁓ basically as I read each one, I'm gonna give you guys, our listeners, a chance to kind of just sit and listen and think for a second. And then Crystal will give her answer, then I'll give mine, and then we'll go all the way through all the answers, and then I'll tell you what this all means at the end, right? So here's what I wanna do. I'm gonna go ahead and I'm gonna read the very first question. It says, you finally get a completely free day off. No responsibilities, no kids at home, no grandchildren to chase after. You even had food show up at your front door. You've got nothing to do today. What are you doing? A, staying in and recharging. B, Getting something productive done, C, going out and doing something spontaneous, or D, doing nothing and probably scrolling through your phone. So, I want, before you answer, before I answer, I just kind of want to give just a, you five, six seconds. I want everybody listening to think about that. I'm gonna repeat the question and the answers. And this will give you guys time to go back through it. You finally get a completely free day off. No responsibilities. What are you doing? A, staying in and recharging. B, getting something productive done. C, going out and doing something spontaneous. or D, doing nothing at all and probably scrolling. So Crystal, where do you fall in that? Crystal Nevedale: A and C. So that's a rough one because usually if I don't have anything to do, I'm working, say I have one day off out of seven, then I'm obviously going to want to do something fun that I can't do on any of those other days because I'm working. So that would be first. However, if I had a couple of days off, I might recharge before or after that. So that was a hard one. I'm kind on the fence with A and C. If I had to pick my favorite, it would be C. It would be adventure. John Adams: Yeah, so I was torn between A and B because I've got so much going on right now that I'm building. If I was out of the building phase and in the Okay, I've got nothing to do and I can't even think of something productive to do, then I would probably be between A and C. ⁓ Probably more on the A side, especially right now, which is so much that I've got going on. ⁓ But, ⁓ so, I'm gonna take B, because right now in my life, that's where I would be. So if you want to write down B for me, and then you said you were gonna lean on C, which is going out, okay, perfect. Crystal Nevedale: I'm gonna do C.E.I. John Adams: So keep track of ours and everybody listening, please write these down because I think you're going to realize something at the end of this. So question number two. Something goes wrong in your life. Your first instinct is A. Why is this happening to me? B. How do I fix this? C. What can I learn from this? Or D. I'll deal with it later. I'll repeat. Question number two, something goes wrong in your life. Your first, not, your always, your first instinct when something goes wrong. A, why is this happening to me? B, how do I fix this? C, what can I learn from this? And D, I'll deal with it later. Don't overthink it. Give me your first answer, everybody. Write these down because this is. going to go somewhere. So don't overthink this. Don't listen to me and Crystal and change your mind. But go ahead, Crystal, where do you think you fall? Crystal Nevedale: ⁓ Of course, always what can I learn from this? It's always my first thing. John Adams: I will agree now. ⁓ Previously in my life, it was A, because that's how it felt. From the day I fell from the train to the day everything just kept piling up, that's how life felt. I will not lie, but I've learned, I've grown, and I've built habits, I've built ways to deal with things, and I've learned how to get in touch with myself. So yes, now I would say what can I learn from ⁓ So I will take C because that is me now, but previously no, I will be honest. I live 20, 30 years of my life going... Why is this happening to me? I'ma be honest. Crystal Nevedale: So for me psychologically, when I was younger and things were like, like you talked about what you were before, I've always been this way. Like I've always had a different life. ⁓ And that's been my coping mechanism is to find out why, what can I learn from this situation? So this is not a new me, like that's an all, that is how I have survived coming up. John Adams: Yeah. And that's why I picked you. Because it's no seriously because that does compliment because at the end of the day I wasn't this right and I'm still growing and we're both still growing but but you were previously you've lived you know this a lot longer. ⁓ So question number three is everybody ready I hope everybody's got their answers written down. Question number three you see some now this is going to be a fun one. Crystal Nevedale: Aww. For sure. John Adams: You see someone doing better than you. A, feel like you're behind. B, feel motivated. C, feel happy for them. D, compare quietly but say nothing. Now, I'll go first on this one. I'm torn between B and C because I'm always going to be happy for somebody that I love and somebody that I care for success. But anytime I see somebody that's in my shoes, in my lane, in my, what I'm doing and they're doing great, it just motivates me. It doesn't motivate me in a bad way. It motivates me in a good way to go, man, you know what? I got to get there. What can I learn from them? How can I get there, right? So, for me it's hard. I will say I'm always gonna be happy for somebody though, whether I know them or I don't know them. So I'm gonna go with C, but I'm kinda leaning into the B and C category, but I'll take C. Crystal Nevedale: So see what motivates. John Adams: Crystal. No, B is feel motivated. C is, cause I would always be happy for them. I'm not always going to be motivated by somebody doing better than me because they might be in a different lane. See what I'm saying? If they're in a completely different lane than I'm in, look, I'm not motivated by Bill Gates cause I'm not as smart as him, right? I'm never going to be able to design Microsoft computer. You know what I mean? So I'm not always motivated by everybody, but I'm always going to be happy for somebody that's doing better than Crystal Nevedale: Right. Right. Yeah. Right. And that's so that's C. John Adams: But it does motivate me. Yeah, C is feeling happy. So you want me to re- Okay. Let me repeat the question, because I don't think I repeated this one so our listeners can hear it. You see something- you see somebody doing better than you. A. Feel like you're behind. B. Feel motivated. C. Feel happy for them. And D. Compare quietly. And you said C also? Awesome. Perfect, perfect. Yeah, and I apologize. You were saying, yeah, you're always going to feel happy for them, right? Crystal Nevedale: That's the same thing for me. I'm the same thing. Okay. Yeah, and so ⁓ I always feel happy for him because like you said, like, just because somebody is doing something in my lane that's maybe considered better than me doesn't mean I want to be on that bus. Doesn't mean I want to commit that kind of time. Doesn't mean I want to give up my freedom. So I'm going to stick with happy for them. John Adams: I just noticed that my phone was completely blowing out my face and you didn't see it because it was on your phone so I fixed it. My whole face was lit up like I was a horror movie or something. Every little nook and cranny of wrinkle on my face was probably showing. Question number four. Your phone usage looks like. A. Consistently checking. B. Persephone. Crystal Nevedale: Ha John Adams: Purposeful use, C, controlled and intentional, or D, wait, how long have I been on here? Let me repeat this. Question number four, your phone usage looks like this. A, constantly checking, B, purposefully using, C, controlled and intentional, or D, wait, how long have I been on here? I'll answer again since you did two in row, I'll do two in a row. I now am in the controlled and intentional. I use focus modes a lot. I'm constantly, you know, making sure that yes, I'm giving myself time to look at social media posts, you know, do that stuff, but I try not to be on too long. I'm not as good as you with setting alarms, ⁓ but I try to use my focus modes as best as possible and not be on every waking minute. I can't say I'm purposefully using it because there's a lot of times where I could be getting work done on my phone, but I prefer to wait until I get in front of my computer where I have a bigger screen. And I think purposefully using in my opinion would be when I can work on it instead of waiting and getting things done, I would work on it. So I'll say C, controlled and intentional. And you? Crystal Nevedale: Mine is the same, see. John Adams: Perfect. There might be a pattern starting, Crystal. Question number five. You have a really big life decision. Life altering. Life changing. You're starting a brand new store and quitting being a nurse. You're leaving your nine to five where you're making a standard paycheck. Crystal Nevedale: No, right. John Adams: you know, salary as a manager and you're gonna drive rideshare until you fix your health and maybe you might start a podcast or something later on. So you have a really big life-changing decision. stress and overthink. B, make a plan. C, trust your gut. And D, avoid it as long as humanly possible. And it's your turn. Crystal Nevedale: Just go buy a ski to my pants. John Adams: Yeah, so. I used to, or no, the seat of your pants is ⁓ the, yeah, C, yeah, trust your gut and go buy the seat of your pants. I used to say that was me, I'm an over planner now, ⁓ just because. guess back to that phase of my life where I'm just trying to make sure everything is smooth and that's kind of part of living 95. I just try to make sure it goes, I want it to be like breathing. ⁓ So I would say I lean more to B than C. So if you want to jot that down for me. Question number six. Your energy lately feels like. A. Drain. Drained. B. Focused. C. Balanced. Or D. All over the place. I'll repeat that. Question number six. Your energy lately feels like A. Drained, B. Focused, C. Balanced, and D. All over the place. Go ahead, Crystal. Crystal Nevedale: This one, I am an absolute D. I am all over the place. I'm owning that too. I have a big trip coming up. I got a lot going on. John Adams: Yeah, so. This one was tough for me. And I have the benefit of having these questions a little longer than you, and it's still tough for me. ⁓ Recently I have been extremely focused but extremely all over the place because I'm building so much all at once ⁓ I'm still trying to make sure I don't overwhelm myself But I'm bouncing back and forth and back and forth and then I'll get into one thing My ADHD is really kicking in because I'll get into one thing and then okay I'm in it for a minute and then okay I get bored for I get bored with that and then I over here so Crystal Nevedale: You're all over the place, my friend. John Adams: Yeah, okay, D. You answered it for me. There you go. Crystal Nevedale: But you know what, like being all over the place doesn't mean that you can't be focused too. So that we can be both things at the same time. This for the, for the questions we have to answer them this way, but really in real life, it's both ways. You can be both in the same day. can be both in the same hour. John Adams: Yeah, I agree. 100%. For the purposes of the question though, we do have to answer it only one way. D all over the place. Okay. Back to my turn again. Question seven. When you fail, A, take it personally, B, try again quickly, C, reflect and adjust, or D, avoid trying again. I'll repeat that. Crystal Nevedale: Yes. Right. John Adams: When you fail A. Take it personally B. Try again quickly C. Reflect and adjust and D. Avoid trying again I'm gonna say strongly C, but I take it personally Will always try again not quickly though. I'm gonna reflect on it and figure out where the hell I messed up ⁓ But I also take it personally so I'm gonna say see Because I will always adjust and try again But I definitely take it personally when I when I mess up it when it's on me I'm not saying what it's on somebody else, but when it's on me, I take it personally, but I always adjust Crystal Nevedale: I do it again. I do it quickly again because if not then I'll, yep, because if not then I might not do it. I might find it, yep, yep. John Adams: Quickly again, wow. Okay. Okay. So you're afraid you're gonna dwell on it and talk yourself out of it? Okay. I like that. Okay. That's honesty. Question number eight. Your relationship with time. A, never enough. B, structured. C, flexible but intentional. And D, where did the day go? Cindy says it all the time, I'm gonna be early to my funeral. D, where did the day go? Crystal Nevedale: That's yours, Dee. John Adams: Yep. I think that's my first D. But when it comes to time, your relationship with time, meaning when you're dealing with just your day and time, there's never enough. B, it's structured. C, flexible but intentional. And then D, where did the day go? Like you were just so busy, the day's gone. Never enough means that you don't get enough done. Crystal Nevedale: Read it one more time. Yep, that's me for sure. these for me. John Adams: Perfect. Same as me. Yeah, I'd say these all the time. I mean, I would rather be like early somewhere and helping them set up because I mean, I'm just that... Move, move, move, move. I think that's part of my ADHD. Question number nine. You start something new. A. Do you doubt yourself? B. Do you push through? Crystal Nevedale: That's my usual, yeah. ⁓ John Adams: C. Do you stay consistent? Or D. Quit early? I'll repeat this. This is a bad question. You start something new. A. Do doubt yourself? B. Do you push through? C. Do you stay consistent? And D. Do you quit early? So, I'll reflect on this one again. ⁓ I stay consistent now. mean, that's just my life. That's living 95. That's what I've built. That's where I feel like I've been very comfortable over the last three, four years of my life. But A, was me for 20 years of my life. I'm just not gonna hide it. I doubted myself regularly. You know, am I enough? Am I doing the right thing? Am I where I should be? know, blah, blah, blah, blah. But now, today, I am stay consistent. Crystal Nevedale: And that's letter B. John Adams: C C Charlie Crystal Nevedale: You're going to kick my bottom, but I need to hear those options one more time. Don't worry about the question with the options. John Adams: No. Yep. A, doubt yourself. B, push through. C, stay consistent. And D, quit early. Crystal Nevedale: be pushed through. I can't stay consistent because a lot of times I fall off the wagon and have to hop back on. John Adams: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean, I think we, yeah, see, and this is another one of the, that's why I said this is a hard question because it's another one of those where if you didn't have to pick just one, you could fall between B and C. ⁓ Question A, or question 10, I mean. So we got five more, guys. Your mindset towards growth. I want it, but I struggle. I'm working on it. I live it daily. Crystal Nevedale: Mm-hmm. There'd be a couple. John Adams: I think about it more than I do it. Let me repeat that. Your mindset towards growth. I want it, but I struggle. I'm working on it daily. Or I'm working on it, sorry, not working on it daily. I'm working on it, meaning you haven't even started, you're working on it. ⁓ I live it daily. Or D, I think about it more than I do it. Go ahead, Crystal. Crystal Nevedale: Live it daily. John Adams: That's me now, 100%. ⁓ Crystal Nevedale: Peace. Sorry. John Adams: Back, you know, you're good. ⁓ Back about, well, as recent as four years ago, ⁓ I wanted it, but I struggled regularly. I mean, I was constantly start and stop and quit and always wanted to make myself better and live a better life and be happier and everything, but I struggled regularly. But now, yes, So C is mine. Question 11. How do you handle stress? A, react emotionally. B, try to control it. C, process it. Or D, distract yourself. I'll repeat those. How do you handle stress? A, react emotionally. B, try to control it. C, process it. Or D, distract yourself. React Crystal. Crystal Nevedale: A, B, and C. So the first thing is I react. Hold on a second. Face, knock it off. There's a car outside. We're just going to have to wait a second. Let me put him in his cage. We're just going have to cut it out. Come on, in your cage. Come on. John Adams: Yes. Yes. That's fine. Take your time. You're good. You're good. Crystal Nevedale: Enough, lay down. Yeah, Emily had to get to work early. she takes him home. Stop it. Knock it off. When any time those trucks show up out there that do that beeping at the end, he loses his shit. Okay. John Adams: Your dog's sitting. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's fine. Okay, so I'll ask again just like as if we didn't even stop. So where you at with that one, Crystal? Crystal Nevedale: Okay, 11, ⁓ So, eight. Yep, so I'm gonna have to go with my initial thing is gonna be A, that's just how it is. My first is emotional. John Adams: Question 11. Yep. You said you were A, B, and C. Yeah, so I am B. I try to control it. I do get frustrated. And that's the whole stress piece. But I'm immediately looking for a way to deal with it. It might. And this is something I work with daily. And you've heard stories about family members that I would love to... ⁓ But I'm always thinking like, how can I deal with this? Right? I'm not like reacting emotionally and acting on it immediately and flipping out, but I'm always like, okay, I gotta fix this. Like, come hell or high water, I'm gonna fix, you know what mean? So that's me. I'm always trying to find a way to control it. So B. Crystal Nevedale: So I want to say one thing really quick about this because this happened in my life personally recently. So someone and I were having a conversation and the thing they told me about like hit me deep, like about it wasn't anything about the conversation, but it hit me in a deep spot. I kind of reacted verbally, not in the actual conversation, but from a place where I had pain. John Adams: Yeah. Crystal Nevedale: So we were driving and ⁓ I sat there for like 15 minutes and I was like, this has nothing to do with this conversation, nothing. This is like something in me. So I took like 15 minutes to process it then I came back and I was like, you know what? I really probably shouldn't have said that. And that person didn't even know that I said anything out of the way. You know, they weren't even aware, but it registered with me that it didn't feel good to me. John Adams: Yeah, that's funny. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Crystal Nevedale: What I said didn't feel good to the core of the person that I was. So it is like, you know, for me, is emotional first, then I'm looking at it, then I'm processing it, then I'm coming back and I'm gonna try to fix my problem. But yes, that was a tough one too. But I'm gonna go with A because that's me. John Adams: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah 100 % I get it perfect and that's the whole purpose behind this is what is that first? reaction okay question 12 your habits a inconsistent B improving C solid and D start stop cycle so I'm going to say I am Even though I've built Living95, even though I've done so much to fix my health, I'm still learning and I'm still growing. So I'm still going to say B. Even though 95 % of the time, Living95, I feel like I'm solid. I'm not going to lie to myself or our listeners and I'm going to still say B, I'm improving because I'm still learning every day. I'm still adapting. I'm still changing little things that Okay, this is working, but can it work better this way? Or, you know what, I've been doing this for this long and it's not working, so what do need to change? So I, to be honest with you, our listeners, and myself, I have to say B, improve. Crystal Nevedale: and I'm gonna have to stay inconsistent with me. ⁓ And that's just because I have a lot of life changes in the last three to six months and it's been very hard to juggle all of the changes. So I'm not at a flat line right now. I'm kind of doing this and trying to get my bearings back. So I'm definitely an A, it is what it is. I'm all over again. John Adams: But that's the great thing about life, right? And like we talked about, you know, it's not always perfect, right? But what you've built over your life of the great things when things are a little inconsistent, right? You still can do, instead of all or nothing, you can still do that, what's the best thing I can do today so that way it's not a waste, right? So that's, that's, that is it in a nutshell. So look. Crystal Nevedale: Right. something. John Adams: Yes, take your A and wear it proudly, right? Okay, question 13. When someone gives you advice, A, take it personally, B, consider it, C, reflect on it, or D, ignore it. Crystal Nevedale: Right. John Adams: Once again, when someone gives you advice, take it personally. B, consider it. C, reflect on it. And D, ignore it. So I'll take this one. ⁓ I have taken advice personally before and I realized rather quickly that not all advice is good advice. ⁓ So I'm at a point in my life where I will consider all advice. and I will consider if it's accurate advice, and if it is, then I will react to it and adjust or choose not to. But I don't take it personally anymore, like I used to. I mean, look, I'm going to be straightforward. That's why starting this podcast was so hard for me. When I was in my previous life where I'm 311 pounds, I'm smoking, drinking whiskey, I didn't care what I did, you know, and I'm... on a slow path to death or a fast path to death. I was smoking heavily. Cigars at home, cigarette cigars at work. And people would walk up and go, man, the best thing I ever did was quit smoking. I would say, shut the hell up. I don't care. I don't want to hear it. So I took it personally and took a fence at it and got angry, right? So definitely I am a considerate phase where I'm going to listen to all advice. I may not take it, but I'm going to consider it and weigh it. Is it good advice? Crystal Nevedale: And what letter was that? John Adams: B. So A is take it personal. Huh? Go ahead. Crystal Nevedale: So reflect on it. So what was the reflect on it? Like, what would that even mean? John Adams: Well, I would think reflect on it. don't know. B and C are probably identical in this question in my eyes. ⁓ so I don't know. Crystal Nevedale: That's what I was thinking. I would, okay, I'm gonna go with considerate, because I think that's what I, that's the best way for me to answer it. John Adams: Yeah, I think reflect on it would be closer to ignore it. Like, considering it, I think you're leaning more heavily towards, okay, maybe this is good advice. Reflecting on it, I think would be leaning more towards, I'm probably gonna ignore this, but I can't, I don't know. I can't answer that question. I didn't make the questions. I'm assuming consider it and reflect on it are very close. Honestly, I don't know. Okay. Crystal Nevedale: Yeah. Okay, I'm gonna do B. John Adams: Question and in the comments guys if anybody knows if one of those is better than the other tell us I have no clue But I would think consider it because I always consider everything I don't I'm not gonna sit there and I don't even know what reflect on it me Crystal Nevedale: Well, usually reflect on it is like recall, like recalling like your past reflecting. John Adams: Yeah. ⁓ yeah, like Amir. I don't know. Okay, I said B, I'm gonna stay with B. But in the comments, if anybody wants to argue that out, please, I would love it. We've had a few comments, but I'd love a few more. 14. Your current life phase feels like A, surviving. You notice a pattern here? Question 14. Your current life phase feels like Crystal Nevedale: but it's not really yet. It's okay. B's good. John Adams: B. Or A, surviving. B, building. C, growing. And D, stuck. Your current life phase feels like A, surviving. B, building. C, growing. And D, stuck. I think B and C are gonna be very close to each other, but I went with B because I'm building. And I mean literally building. I'm building a lot of things all at once. ⁓ So I'm going to go with B. Crystal Nevedale: I'm gonna go see. John Adams: So you're growing, perfect. You've built, you've got a lot built and you're doing very well. So now you're just growing, it's awesome. I stole your explanation, but I'm assuming that's where you were going. Crystal Nevedale: Yeah. You're pretty good. You got it. You might know me or something. John Adams: Ha ⁓ Right now in your life, you feel A, overwhelmed, B, driven, C, aligned, or D, disconnected. For me, I'm pretty much driven and aligned, but I've got to drive to see this that I've been building come to fruition and mean something and help people and... and turn into what I have this vision for. ⁓ So I would say driven, but I'm also aligned. Like, I'm not gonna curl up in a ball and cry if it doesn't work out. I'd be a little upset, but I'm gonna say be driven. Crystal Nevedale: and I'm gonna say C-aligned. John Adams: Awesome. Perfect. I thought you were gonna go with A, overwhelmed. Because you got so much going on. Crystal Nevedale: I mean, I could probably, we could probably fight on that one, but I'm gonna go with B. John Adams: Okay Okay, so here's what I want everybody to do. I want everybody to take a moment, and you can take a moment, Crystal, while I'm talking, and I want everybody to kind of look at what your average is. It should be pretty simple right now to figure out kind of where you leaned, right? And it doesn't have to be perfect, you know, I don't want everybody pulling out their calculators and trying to figure math out, but you should be able to see where you leaned more, right? I think we hit D once, you know? And I'm not even to keep in the notes, but at the end of the day look at your answers and see where you Hit most and here's what it says for each one So I'll read this out what they say and then crystal you can tell us where we both landed So if you got mostly A's You're reactive you're in a reactive phase of your life Life is probably feeling like it's happening to you but honestly though Is that weakness? I don't think it is. think that that's just where you are right now, right? And I think that's an okay thing. You just gotta learn to adjust, right? ⁓ If you got mostly Bs, you're in a building phase, you're trying to take control and you're putting in the effort, but you're still figuring things out. C. If you got mostly C's, you're in a growth phase. You're not perfect, but you're aware of where you are. And that awareness is what's going to change everything for you, right? And then if you got mostly D's, you're in a stuck or avoidant path. In that phase of your life. And they basically say it's not because you can't move forward, but because something's holding you back. Okay? And I think that's honest. That is perfectly true. If you're in that avoidance phase of your life, it's not that you can't get out of it. We all can get out of that phase. But you've got something that you feel is holding you back. And what can you do to kind of get out of that, right? So where did we both land, Crystal? Crystal Nevedale: So it looks like you did, ⁓ you had seven Bs. So that was your, which is the building stage. And mine was, I had eight Cs, so I'm in the growth phase. John Adams: Yep. Yeah, perfect. And I think that that aligns perfectly because you've built, right? You've been in this process of building for a long time and you're out of it now. So that's why I said this is so fun, because it literally hit us right head on, right? You've built your business. You're comfortable. You're right where you need to be. And you're now growing further. I'm building still, right? And that's where I think that this was Crystal Nevedale: Mm-hmm. It's in. John Adams: awesome and that's kind of why I kind of wanted to bring this on to this episode and talk with everybody because here's kind of where it's at. I don't think this is about our age anywhere shape or form even though they said it's supposed to be an age thing right it's about your phase in your life and the best part here is this you can shift phases up look you went through the building phase you're in the growth phase Crystal Nevedale: I John Adams: I was way, way, way back in the A territory of being stuck in D territory at one point in my life. It was just so much going back and forth. So if you notice, here's the thing. You can change any of those phases, good or bad. It just depends on the work you're gonna put in. If you're not gonna put the work in, you're not gonna move towards a better phase. And if you're gonna... Put the work in, you're gonna grow and you're gonna get to the growth phase and you're gonna get to awareness and you're gonna be perfect, right? Here's the thing, you don't have to do it all at once. Living 95 is all about that. Start small, but if you wanna make a shift in your life and get out of whatever phase you landed in, this is why I wanted you to be honest with those phases. If you're not happy that you landed in one of those phases, that's fine. You don't, let me move my mic for a second. But that's fine, you do not. have to stay stuck there. Start small, start now, and make those adjustments. But here's what I'd love for everybody to do, and I wanted everybody to be honest. Go into the comments, whoever you are, even if you're family or friends, I don't care. Put them in the comments. I'd like to know. What was your letter? You don't have to explain it. Just throw the A, the B, or the C, or the D in there. And just throw it in there. I'd like to see the comments full of letters. You don't even have to put a single thing. Just A, B, C, or D. And if you're honest, you'll probably learn something just from that alone, because you're going to see everybody else's answers, right? And you might see people that kind of fall into the same category as you if everybody's honest about it. And here's the interesting thing about this whole thing and all these questions. If you really paid attention, a lot of your answers, they're not random. They're patterns. And most of those patterns came from your environment and where you started from. And let's plug Crystal's little treasure box out in Vermilion again. That's actually a perfect example of it, right? She's built something that it's not just a store. It's actually a completely different environment. So when you walk into her store, you slow down, you breathe. Everything just feels a little different. You think a little clearer and you might just find that little trinket or item that you just don't, didn't even know you were looking for in the first place, right? And sometimes that's all it takes for you to shift how you feel in that moment. Maybe it can push you in the right direction. So if you're out locally in Vermilion, go check her out because sometimes changing your mindset starts the change in the place that you are today. And if that hits you as a creator too, and if you've been listening to this and going, I'd like to try this rambling thing that John Crystal do every week. ⁓ You know, you never know. ⁓ Here's the thing. Your environment that you're in right now isn't just a phase either. It's just a phase, right? And it's not physical, it's your workflow, right? Your setup, your processes. And creating content feels chaotic sometimes. It feels overwhelming. Guess what? Crystal Nevedale: Yeah. John Adams: That's why I created Amplify so I can help you get through those overwhelming situations and I can take it all on for you. I can do all the production. I can do everything for you. And guess what? If you really don't want any of that, but you're curious about the software that I talk about all the time on here and I talk about, you know, the fact that without Riverside, we probably couldn't do some of these podcasts because my internet was so bad recently. If you just want to learn about that, actually just, because I'd already been doing a few for other people and teaching them on that, I just launched that entire new program also. So if you go to theamplify.living95.com and go to Riverside Coaching, I've got an entire Riverside Coaching section now where you can book an hour session, a three hour session, a five hour session, or hours, but you know, one session, three sessions, or five sessions, or hour sessions. And the longer you book, the more you'll save. ⁓ But, I just wanted to kind of let everybody know that that's available for you if you're in that. And let's just wrap it up like we always do. As always, stay healthy. Crystal Nevedale: Stay balanced. John Adams: and keep driving forward. We'll see you next time. Crystal Nevedale: We'll see you next time.
