- 0:11Basic Black after darn All new podcast show with your host Black Diamond. Hey
- 0:38everybody, this is Black Diamond from the Crew Network and you're listening to Basic
- 0:43Black After Dark podcasts. This is the show that meets you where you are
- 0:47and gives you what you asks for. Entanglement It's not a word that you
- 0:53hear in everyday conversation. However, it has become known during conversations when we
- 0:58talk about sex, relationships and deceit. And I know that some of you
- 1:03have been listening to certain public people talk about entanglement well. Entanglement is a
- 1:14word often used to describe a situation where something is or someone is caught up
- 1:19in a complicated situation. For example, if one thing entangled itself with another,
- 1:26the two things become caught together very tightly. It can also refer to
- 1:30physical objects that are twisted nodded together, making it difficult to separate them.
- 1:38So, how many of you been in an entanglement and didn't know it?
- 1:44So we're going to talk about that and her new novel Danny Nicole introduces you
- 1:49to characters who give you entanglement, which is a whole new meaning. In
- 1:55her novel Entangled with deceit. Please welcome Danny Nicole to Basic Black after Dog.
- 2:06Good evening. Thank you for having me, No, thank you for
- 2:10being here. Thank you. It is a pleasure. So you I'm gonna
- 2:16go right into it. You talked about your main character, Victoria. Yes,
- 2:21the church girl. Is this book a church girl meets a bad boy?
- 2:24Novel with a twist? It? Yes, you know what it can
- 2:30be it? Yes, yes, I would say yes, uh, definitely,
- 2:38good girl meets bad boy. But the thing is the male character.
- 2:46You don't think he's bad. You know, he presents himself. He's charming.
- 2:51You know, he's good looking, he speaks well, he's educated,
- 2:55he goes to church, so he looks great. He doesn't come off as
- 3:04a bad boy. That's the difference. M hm. So maybe she's the
- 3:08day boy. But so Vitoria appears to be a smart, educated woman with
- 3:15goals. But it seems as if she's looking for a little bit adventure.
- 3:20Is that aure entanglement? It's both yes, so again kind of yes or
- 3:29no? I mean, she she moves to this new city she's been you
- 3:35know, she's got this new job. But a couple of years have gone
- 3:38by and she wants to date and she's like, Okay, I have this
- 3:42dream job, I have this great life, but I need I need a
- 3:46man in need. I feel like she feels like she needs a man to
- 3:53kind of enhance or fill that void of lonely loneliness or companionship. You know.
- 4:01I love that you bring in other characters to your story. Take Victoria
- 4:05and her mother. Is is she a close bond? Is that all they
- 4:11share is a close bond? Uh? Yes? So Victoria is an only
- 4:18child, and so when she moved, you know, her mom was was
- 4:25devastated because that's her baby, that's like her only child. You know,
- 4:29she raised her as a single mom, so they were close. And so
- 4:32finding out that now Victoria's got this opportunity to leave the city she's at and
- 4:39pursue a career that she's always wanted. God, you know, makes makes
- 4:44the mom a little protective of her only child. Yeah. Before I delve
- 4:50deeper into your book, I ask myself if there could be a little competition
- 4:55between mother and daughter, or if there is jealousy between the two because she
- 5:00it's the only child, she's raised by herself, and she's off doing her
- 5:04life right. So I'm not sure when I was reading, they had to
- 5:10go back and forth. If she jumps up her daughter, is she happy
- 5:13for a daughter? Was there some kind of competition for a daughter? You
- 5:16know, I don't know. I just said I'm gonna have to keep going
- 5:18back and forth, back and yeah to see what right right? And so
- 5:27I didn't. I didn't touch much on that relationship, which could be another
- 5:31book, but her right. But I can see that now that you've mentioned
- 5:39that, because right, that's my that's her only daughter. She wants her
- 5:43to be here, you know why she living and trying to pursue something elsewhere,
- 5:48So they could be a tiny bit being that that they all they had
- 5:53was each other. For some time I was I was flipping through wondering if
- 5:58she was gonna move state the Victoria, and I said, Mom probably got
- 6:01her dads or packed. And by the time she sat playing down here,
- 6:08mom walking through. Right, you want to talk about Jackie. Some people
- 6:15have friends like Jackie, And what was the real reason you brought Jackie into
- 6:20Charlotte. I bought Jackie into Charlotte. So like me, like I moved.
- 6:29When I moved to Charlotte, I wanted to meet people and and and
- 6:36make friends and and find you know, a couple of ladies I can hang
- 6:41out with. So Jackie to Victoria, is that friend that's feeling the feeling
- 6:49the void because her mom's not there, you know what I mean. So
- 6:53she needs this lady and woman in her life to be there with her and
- 6:58be a friend to her. And they become best friends, just like it
- 7:02was almost meant to be. Yeah, my best not to read too much
- 7:09into Jackie because I was like, Okay, I'm always the one that take
- 7:12characters and I'm suspicious. Yeah, characters. So that's why answer, Okay,
- 7:17Jackie, where you come from? Then it seems to be a lot
- 7:21of women working in the office right right exactly. With all these women in
- 7:27one place, it could be a recipe for disaster because I we know how
- 7:32some women can get and if you're in the office, you just chatter,
- 7:36chatter, chatter. Yes, a lot of things can happen. My question
- 7:42is, yes, do a lot of those women that's in our office attend
- 7:46the same church that Victoria do? And do Jackie attend that church? So
- 7:57actually the the the co workers do not attend the church and Jackie. I
- 8:09don't believe Jackie does either. Initially, like, so the book was written
- 8:13like in twenty seventeen, and so I finally put it out there last year
- 8:20and got the editing, you know, the book, the proof readings and
- 8:24things like that. So now Ericson. The thing is is that Ericson the
- 8:30gentleman who's probably talking about to him. He the church. The church is
- 8:35his family's church, so he's the church boy. So this is I was
- 8:41kind of going there with him. There was one part of the book I
- 8:45needed some clarity on, and that was Victorian Ericson. They met, Yes,
- 8:48she gave a speech, and they seem to admind one another. Ericson
- 8:54mentioned that they would meet more when they are both back in Charlotte, and
- 8:58I was one of the how did he know she was from Charlotte? And
- 9:01was this their first time meeting or did he have an agenda by running into
- 9:05her at this meeting? So those are all the kinds of questions. That
- 9:07was when I said, Okay, did I miss something because he's saying that
- 9:13he wants to meet her back in Charlotte. How did he know? Did
- 9:16she say something in her her meeting and her speech that she was from Charlotte?
- 9:22Is the accent that she had that he picked up on. I'm just
- 9:24sitting there saying, like, ericson, how did you know that she was
- 9:28from Charlotte or did you follow this woman or did mom send you there to
- 9:35watch her? So you see where my mind was going. Everywhere I was
- 9:41And that's good. That's that's exactly That's exactly what is going on. That
- 9:54is exactly it. Yes, I was just there. I was like,
- 9:58already I picked up one Victoria being my friend. I'm in protective vogue for
- 10:05Victoria. I'm already suspicious of Jackie people in the office. What's going on
- 10:09with mommy? Now here comparison from what I read so far, I seemed
- 10:13when when Victoria falls for a man, she falls hard or is that act?
- 10:18Is she acting? So she gives her heart? Yes, she falls
- 10:28hard, she gives her all, she puts her all into it. Yes,
- 10:33she fell hard in love like that's it. He's the one. Yes,
- 10:39that is exactly who she is. Okay, so he said it was
- 10:43the family church and that's how she got to meet him. I'm curious would
- 10:46you have considered the relationship between Victoria and Erics entangled and not an entanglement.
- 10:54Would you had rather for it to be tangled, because I know it's an
- 10:58entangled with deceit, But would you have also thought about it being tangled and
- 11:03not an entanglement. Yes, I could see that because because Victoria has now
- 11:13is going to be getting tangled up in the feelings because she fought so hard
- 11:16for this man, and then that's just right now she's tangled. Now when
- 11:22you start reading, you you're you're following her journey because now she's deciding what
- 11:28should I do? You know I care about him this way things are going
- 11:33to be going on, and yes, she's tangled up. So I kind
- 11:37of feel that, you know, I was like, here, go to
- 11:41Spider's web, Victoria rights sitting right in the middle of it, and all
- 11:46of these things are happening around you. Girl, wake up? Are you
- 11:48aware of any of these things? To tell you the truth, I'm looking
- 11:52at it as it's on television and whatnot, So I usually wait till the
- 11:56end before I ask these questions. But when can we expect part two of
- 12:01Entangled with the Sea. That is a possibility. I no, no,
- 12:07I'm not accepting a possibility. You want it. You need to know that,
- 12:13I need I need, I need to see part two because I need
- 12:16to see what's gonna happen with her or not. And I'm dying for Mom
- 12:20to come through there somewhere along the line, not telling me how to write
- 12:22your book, but seeing some stuff. And I'm asking these questions, and
- 12:26I wonder what's going on and where you at? And Jackie, what's what's
- 12:31going on? Help your sister out in it's just a lot that I'm just
- 12:35like, I write no notes on the side of pages, and yeah,
- 12:39I got a question. They got to flip back to another chapter that I
- 12:41missed something. Yes, yes, this book as you as you continue to
- 12:48read, you're gonna get some answers to your questions. And there's gonna be
- 12:54a twist at the end. If you hadn't got to the end yet,
- 12:58no, I haven't you you're gonna be surprised. I thought I was going
- 13:03to bed early tonight. But now some first time authors begin with a softer,
- 13:11gentler introduction of their writing style. After ten years of putting your words
- 13:16and thoughts down on paper, you completed your first solo book, a fictional
- 13:22novel, which is what we're talking about in Tangled with PC. But you
- 13:24came out not holding anything back. What does it feel like to release your
- 13:31first book I'm talking about. You came out. Most people would come out
- 13:33with maybe no offense to this title I'm going to say, or maybe Poppins
- 13:39kind of book, but you did not. You came. You came with
- 13:43the title, with the characters. You just came right out with it.
- 13:46And I'm like, is she really a first time Yeah, there's some spices,
- 13:54some stuff up in here. Yes, And I already never thought that
- 13:56you were a first time author. It's just my this is my first fictional
- 14:01novel. And I've been, like I said, I've been sitting down since
- 14:07twenty seventeen. And when I got here in Charlotte, I don't know if
- 14:11it was just the environment, but I had to. It was like a
- 14:18birth. I just had to get it out. And I worked hard for
- 14:24the for the whole year in twenty twenty three, just trying to get it,
- 14:30you know, to be a good read and for people to be able
- 14:33to follow and and and I mean people don't so the book honestly, even
- 14:41though it's fiction, it is fiction, so but there are I took some
- 14:46past experiences as a young lady because I was young and I've experienced some entanglements.
- 14:54I was going to go there. I was definitely going to go there
- 14:56with you, Like, like, what were some of the biggest challenge just
- 15:00write and entangled with the scene. Well, I switched up the manuscript a
- 15:07few times. I took a whole bunch of things out. Then I put
- 15:11a whole bunch of things in, because, like you said, I wasn't
- 15:15sure if I wanted to take the subtle route or just hit it at once
- 15:18and just say, you know what, this is my this is the first
- 15:22Let's just go all in. Let's just go all in. Let's just give
- 15:26him, give him something that they want to read and keep reading all or
- 15:31nothing. And you did a great job with it. Now you're married.
- 15:35What did your husband think when he learned you titled your book entangled with the
- 15:39scene. He thought it was about him? He did, I said,
- 15:46I kind of thought that that. I asked the question his husband. I
- 15:50had to question because titled didn't tangled with the seat, so I was wondering
- 15:58thinks talking about him? He did, and this is the way we think
- 16:03he did. I said, babe, no, no, I can promise
- 16:07you that was some past when I met him, and you know what,
- 16:12I think that's kind of what inspired me because our relationship when when we met
- 16:18and when we got together, I felt like I had found the one and
- 16:23so I could now get out the past experiences into this fictional book. But
- 16:30I told him, it's not you, babe, don't worry about here quickly.
- 16:38It is not you. It is not you somebody else. It's fiction.
- 16:44Maybe it's fiction so that that that shit makes some peace in the house
- 16:49tonight. So what set your work apart from other fiction authors? I would
- 16:57say because I'm original, I'm authentic, I'm true to myself, and my
- 17:04experiences are different, you know than the anyone else and their writing as well.
- 17:12So you know I have I mean, we've all experienced some past hurts,
- 17:19betrayals, things like that. But my story is different from your story,
- 17:26and this book is just my true, authentic self. Want to share
- 17:32my story, well a story on some that entangrament is real and there is
- 17:37deceit. I'll here for men and women. Yeah, yeah, even the
- 17:44women not deceiving the men men not deceiving women. I mean, it's it's
- 17:49only new it's on TV every day. Yes, certain, as you were
- 17:56saying, magazine. But certain magazines we see while we shop, and you
- 17:59know, just standing online in certain stores, you standing there saying and people
- 18:04saying, you know, I'm trying to do that and tell you to go
- 18:07ahead. But by the time for you to go ahead, they have picked
- 18:10up the book too and nook through magazine. Because that you're seeing couples celebrities
- 18:15all over the place. Yes, yeah, it's a lot of deceit we're
- 18:18going on. Some people have been in marriages for thirty forty years for whatever
- 18:23reason, they stayed together. But there's some deceit there. You can't write
- 18:27fiction, should we expect something in other genres? Yes? So I would
- 18:34love. I would love to write a horror and I have. I have
- 18:40a horror, and I have a suspense Victoria's mother. No, no,
- 18:48no, change his mother. I'm just kidding. Yes, suspense. So
- 18:56I have my next book. I got to decide because the next book is
- 19:00called mid Wife Crisis. That's the book. Mm hmmm, yeah, Middlewife,
- 19:11middle Wife Crisis. Mm hmmm. So that's Tyler. Perry just told
- 19:21you he was going to make your book into a movie, and he gave
- 19:25you the job of choosing the leading lady and leading man. Who are your
- 19:29choices? Oh? Who are my choices? You know what? I think?
- 19:38I think Kelly Rowland could play Victoria. I've seen her in the last
- 19:45Netflix and a Job, and she did she did a heck of a job.
- 19:52She did a heck of a job. Yeah, I see it.
- 19:56Mm hmmm, I see it. The man, her bestie, Kelly bestis
- 20:04mother could play that. Yeah, that mother, because she looks like she's
- 20:12the type that could play that mother. Yes, Oh my goodness, it's
- 20:19so many, there's so many men out here. Well, I don't know,
- 20:26you know what. Huh. He's in the church. He's steeling from
- 20:32the church. So we gotta think on that level of who it could be.
- 20:37Yeah, wow, you know what I would have to I would have
- 20:41to ask Tyler because Tyler has some good looking men in his movie Fine the
- 20:48Man, But he's coming from with them, man, I have never even
- 20:53heard of Yes, interesting, look, Yeah, I'm just thinking where he
- 20:59come from. Because the last movie that Kelly was in The Goblet where you
- 21:03come from? Yes, and I hope he keeps coming because he was very
- 21:07good, very good actor, very good acting job with that with that movie,
- 21:11I had to watch it without anybody around. And that's one of my
- 21:15things that I do on a Sunday. Certain movies I watched Sunday morning because
- 21:18it's quiet in my house. You get a chance to watch it without any
- 21:22interruptions. Yes, that's so. Were you Were you thinking about the kind
- 21:27of audience you wanted to read your book or was it something you had to
- 21:33give off your chest? So at first, I think that's why it took
- 21:41me so long, because I as I got to learn and and enjoying,
- 21:48you know, Facebook groups of authors and things like that, I hadn't really
- 21:52at first thought about the audience. But as I began to write more and
- 21:57think about releasing it, it made me think more. You know that this
- 22:02is a middle aged man or woman who's been through a relationship that's entangled like
- 22:11like and and when you think about it, even young people, I mean,
- 22:15any any one over eighteen who's been in a serious relationship, whether it's
- 22:21man or woman. If you haven't experienced an entanglement, lived long enough,
- 22:27or you might know someone, they may not use the term entanglement. They'll
- 22:36say he cheated on me, Yeah, yeah, that's or something you know
- 22:40that they may not understand that And some of them may not mind being in
- 22:45a relationship with a guy who's already in a relationship with somebody I guess,
- 22:51some baby mama or whatever it is, and not realize that's an entanglement.
- 22:56Yes, that is so, there's a lot that I was young sisters need
- 23:00to understand terminology. We've been through that. We just use different words now,
- 23:06so in a few years they're gonna probably change the tablem into something else.
- 23:10Yeah, yeah, it happens. I noticed that you and Victoria have
- 23:18something in common. But you were born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but now
- 23:22resides in the upcoming city of Charlotte, North Carolina. This is where the
- 23:26story takes place. Is there something you want to tell us about Victoria that
- 23:32your boy doesn't mention? Is Victoria someone you know? Yes, Victoria?
- 23:38You, Victoria was me sometimes Victoria all of us some time ago. YESI
- 23:52to be honest, Yes, Victoria is exactly And that's when I wrote the
- 23:57book. Be the thing like everyone, even even men, men and women
- 24:03have experienced some entanglement at one time or they know someone. And that's why
- 24:08I say that again with the men, that they can experience entanglement too,
- 24:15because women cheat as well, as a woman. I'm not going to sit
- 24:18here and say that women don't. They just cry their way out of it,
- 24:26out of it, that's how they get. Some of them get out
- 24:30of it and then become very mellow after a while. But right see,
- 24:34I'm gonna say there's a way that you can be an entanglement and when you
- 24:40get caught, you can be out of it and still come out on top.
- 24:44And I ain't gonna share how you can do that podcast, I'm not
- 24:48going to tell you how you can get out of it. You know,
- 24:52I was raised brothers seen it on They told me a lot of stuff.
- 24:56So I learned from watching and crying and getting out and still being on top
- 25:03without feeling right. But that wasn't my story, but I knew how to
- 25:06do it. So before you said, what is some part of you?
- 25:11Oh yeah, yeah, especially well so I am a woman of faith and
- 25:22being in that environment as a young lady seeking a companionship. M hm,
- 25:30you know that was that was the thing. He's got to be. He
- 25:36he needs to be the man in the church. He needs to be.
- 25:40But that's not I found out that's not because it's in the church. Don't
- 25:44make him right, hmm, Okay, the depo go to church sitting next
- 25:52to me and we but but that's the thing, because they show up what's
- 25:57in sheep's clothing, But that's the wool, it's the wolf in sheep's clothing.
- 26:03And then the charm and just the demeanor, and then you're all you're
- 26:10just head over heels, and then you then as you continue to get to
- 26:14know, you're finding out Okay, this isn't he isn't all he or she
- 26:19is? And all of their cracked up to me, so's to learn experience?
- 26:23Yes here or she wearings and all that makeup on and that perfume that
- 26:30you can smell a mile away, yet it could be heard too. Yes,
- 26:33yes, because knowing you already with somebody else, since she's coming in,
- 26:37there be an extra yes, I see woman. That's not always on
- 26:42the woman's side, because I know how we can get yes, And if
- 26:48I have to put it out there, I put it out there. Look,
- 26:49if you want to know what a woman will do or what a woman
- 26:53will say, and how we can get away with certain things, I'll be
- 26:57real. I'll tell you why. Because I wouldn't want somebody doing that to
- 27:02my brothers, So I tell them. But see they're older than me and
- 27:04they already know. But I would tell them. But I tell my sons
- 27:07what to watch for and know how they do it because some women now they're
- 27:12teaching their daughters these things. Yes, and that's that's where those entanglements come
- 27:18from, because some of them could have inherited, you know, right,
- 27:25or look at the social look at look at the social media. It's on
- 27:29there. Women are telling these young women, oh yeah, I sleep around.
- 27:33Oh I don't mind. I go to the ball games and I'm there
- 27:37to spectat and to find me a guy. And they're saying, it's cool.
- 27:41Look at the music. Look I mean, are young women. I've
- 27:45been a being, you know, sucked in even into the music nowhere.
- 27:51The women are like, yeah, you know, I get around and I
- 27:56need his money, and what can he do for me? They bring him.
- 28:00That's how a lot of these women brand themselves. They get onto stage
- 28:07half dressed. Maybe it's an era thing because they were they were fully clothed
- 28:15when I used to watch certain shows show not and then sometimes the skirts will
- 28:19get a little shorter. You know, that was okay because they had the
- 28:22boots and that was okay, but now all you seeing is the boots and
- 28:26nothing else, so you know, you become surprised at it. You know,
- 28:32I can't sit and say you should be ashamed of yourself because it's your
- 28:37time, right, you know, I've had my time in my era.
- 28:41It's your time, and I can't say whether that's acceptable or not. That's
- 28:48again, that's your time. And I'm not going to mention any names of
- 28:52some of these young ladies that's doing this, but it's their time. I've
- 28:56had my time in my decade and we wore clothes and did things the way
- 29:00we did it with our elders probably didn't like the stuff that we were doing,
- 29:04absolutely and the stuff we say, So I don't come down on them
- 29:08for that, you know. All allthough, I would say, is that
- 29:14be careful, yes, because what you're putting out there may not be the
- 29:19message that somebody else is getting and then you're just simply on the show they're
- 29:26thinking something, so that just be mindful of your And speaking of Brandon,
- 29:33you are entrepreneur and are building your brand. What is your brand? So
- 29:44you know I've had I've had time to think about that, and I'm still
- 29:49because I'm an author, but I want to be on the business side too.
- 29:55I want to do more than just right, you know. I want
- 29:59to talk with others who are new authors and share my journey because I'm sure
- 30:03they have a journey as well coming into this whole industry of becoming a published
- 30:10author, whether it's self published or traditional. And so I'm still working on
- 30:18figuring out the brand because it's new, it's it's kind of branded myself,
- 30:22so I'm trying to I'm still finding me and what the brand is going to
- 30:27become. So it's not all the way there. There's something you may want
- 30:33to try. It's called toast masters. Okay, you may want to try
- 30:38that and see how far you want to go with that. A lot of
- 30:44them do a lot of speaking. Sometimes you can figure out who you are
- 30:48within that organization and did just about everywhere. Okay, okay, places and
- 30:52programs are online, but be careful because some of them are not who they
- 30:57are there are you know this one of this AI thing that's going on which
- 31:03bothers the head out of me. If you're not AI part of the alphabet.
- 31:07I want to be bothered. Right. The only thing I want to
- 31:11know about a and I. So my kids say that's enough. I'm good,
- 31:17I'm old school, I'm good. I'm ready to do regular mail now
- 31:22because it's scared to death out of me abusing the computer because all of this
- 31:25AI stiff. Send it in the mail. But they'll find their way.
- 31:29Yes, your readers will get out of your book. What do you think
- 31:34that they take away will be from your work? Well, I want them
- 31:38to take away that I am passionate about my writing and that I'm being true
- 31:49to who I am. You know, I want to be authentic and I
- 31:56want to stay in my lane and write my book and continue to build my
- 32:02brand. But I want you to know I'm passionate about writing. I've been
- 32:06wanting to I've been writing since I was a young kid, well a little
- 32:10girl, but you know, I'm a seventies baby. So growing up and
- 32:15talking about writing and doing art, and you know, my family didn't see
- 32:21that as a way as an income stream. So I kind of didn't pursue
- 32:25that because it was go to get the diploma, go to college, get
- 32:30the job type of thing. And so it wasn't until I got older that
- 32:37I realized there's more opportunities now to share and write and write my book and
- 32:45you can make a living do writing being an author, and so and I
- 32:52was, and I'm passionate about what I'm writing and I want them to read
- 32:55the book and enjoy it. I want my readers to enjoy what I write.
- 33:00And and then we can talk and have a discussion on the podcast.
- 33:05Or to a great start with this book entangled with the see you're off to
- 33:10a wonderful start. And there's nothing wrong with changing lane sometimes as long as
- 33:16you know which lane you came from, there's nothing right lanes. Sometimes,
- 33:23you know, share without you and listen how they can connect with you.
- 33:29Yes, so you can follow me on Instagram, Facebook, and I'm on
- 33:35the red now at Danny Nicole the Author. My website is in construction because
- 33:43I had it revamped, but I'm at Danny Nicole the Author dot com as
- 33:51well, so you can follow me there. I'm doing some updates now that
- 33:54I'm getting out here more. I want to ask him things to the website
- 33:59so that the readers can get to know me also on that level as well.
- 34:06If you're in the Charlotte area on June eighth, I will be at
- 34:10the African American Book Festival, and I will be presenting my novel for purchase,
- 34:17So come see me there. If you're in the area. Well you're
- 34:22just want to fly out to Charlotte, you can do that too, but
- 34:28well sometimes it's worked the trip because the book is dead and it is on
- 34:34Amazon and it is on the Black Old Publishing website as well to purchase.
- 34:40So Danny, when the table to see part two come out, please let
- 34:45me know, yes, or Victoria's mother call your girl. I can do
- 34:51that. I can do that. We're sisters, now I can do that.
- 34:55I encourage you all to take a look at this book, not just
- 35:00look at the cove and say, oh, it's nice. Go through this
- 35:04book. Even you can do it with some groups of people. You can
- 35:08do second wives clubs, first wives clubs, however you want to do it.
- 35:15You can do it in groups because I think you might enjoy and doing
- 35:19it, because you may have a lot of questions. Yes, because I
- 35:22have, and I was able to ask the author. So that's how fortunate
- 35:24I was. Yes, the author. But you guys can get in there
- 35:30and you can do the same thing. You can get together or if you're
- 35:32doing it by yourself, you could jot your questions down on the pages that
- 35:37you want, email her, contact her, ask those questions and whatnot,
- 35:42so you too can ask the author. Yes, some food for thought.
- 35:45There's a big difference between entangled entangled, and if you are confused, don't
- 35:51worry. So was I. That was before I read a part of Entangled
- 35:54with the seat and spoke with the author, Danny Nicole. These two words
- 35:59are often used. They'll often use it interchangeably, but there's a subtle difference
- 36:05between them. I want to thank Danny for untangling my thoughts about it.
- 36:10Such as entangled and tangled refer to things that are twisted or knotted together,
- 36:17but entangled implies a more complex and difficult situation that than tangled. Entangled means
- 36:24that things are not just twisted together, but they're also difficult to separate or
- 36:30untangled. Tangled simply means that things are twisted together, but they may easily
- 36:36be separated or untangled. In other words, ladies entangled refers to something that
- 36:42is twisted or interwoven intercally. It can also refer to a state of being
- 36:46involved with a complicated or confusing situation or relationship. So remember that tangle refers
- 36:53to something that is twisted or knodded together in a disorderly manner. It can
- 37:00also refer to a state of being involved in a confusing or complicated situation or
- 37:07relationship. Either way, when that happens, you know it's time to get
- 37:12out and get away, and that it becomes twisted or interwoven in a messy
- 37:16way, so it can be very messy. I want to thank Danny Nicole
- 37:21for bringing us Entangled with deceit Thank you copy Yes side of Victoria was in
- 37:27an entangled, deceitful relationship, alright, nearly tangled and messy. Yes,
- 37:32join us on Thursday, May thirtieth. We are in for a good fight
- 37:37with Dimitria. Good after eighth after Dog. Thank you, Thank you so
- 37:45much. I truly truly appreciate you coming out and sharing this book. I
- 37:52appreciate you. Just one of the second books that I've read, and I've
- 37:58had a guest on that and looking forward to part two. You know,
- 38:02a case that I've read and i've had guests doing. And I'm not taking
- 38:07away from any of the books, but there's always that one character that I
- 38:12connect with in some kind of way, and Victoria is that character or for
- 38:19me and I have that other author that's gonna be coming up in a couple
- 38:22of weeks. Oh boy, I've been bugging her. Yes, I just
- 38:30I can't wait. I feel like that's a that's relatively mind already because we
- 38:34were here. Yeah, we're here, and I just can't wait to see
- 38:37what she was doing all summer long. So that's it for us tonight.
- 38:44Thank you so much for being a part of that show. Thank you,
- 38:45thank you so much for your book. Thank you. I'm glad I could
- 38:52share. I'm glad to any questions out there. Mm hmm. No,
- 39:08we got some hellos and a couple of responses, but I'm glad those those
- 39:15who have responded have come out to listen and join the podcast. Is they
- 39:22do a replay yes, ax questions, and I usually go into the replay
- 39:27and I respond with either let them know that they have to get that answer
- 39:30from you because I couldn't answer it. So yes, if you see the
- 39:34replay, just respond respond, Okay, I will can contact you, you
- 39:40know. Yes, don't give out your personal phone number because people right follow
- 39:46me on social media. Yeah right, I never get off the phone.
- 39:52I got a phone came my phone. I'm have to start charging you.
- 39:57I'm gonna be phone because I think that you're you're gonna you're gonna be very
- 40:00successful. And I appreciate that. I you know, and I appreciate that,
- 40:07you know. So in July I should have said this to so I'm
- 40:12coming up with something for everyone in July. I want to do a virtual
- 40:19book club. So we're going to talk about the book chapter by chatter.
- 40:27Put that on your social media. Yes, yes, you have to call
- 40:31Angela about doing the podcast. Yes, yes, So I don't think that
- 40:37you would have a problem with, you know, doing your podcasts and being
- 40:40one of the sisters. I I appreciate that. I enjoy you know.
- 40:47I was just talking to someone and publishing through Black Gold, and we we
- 40:54were messaging each other and she was so she's like a friend. Like I
- 41:01really enjoy talking with you, Patrice Angela, because I feel like your sisters.
- 41:06I don't have a sister. I'm a twin. I had a twin
- 41:09brother he passed about thirteen years ago. But I thank you. But I
- 41:15like the sisterhood and it makes me because feel good that you guys are my
- 41:21sisters. Like I just feel like we have this connection and the information you
- 41:25got you share. I'm taking notes. I'm the one. I'm the one
- 41:30that's taking a note. We share with each other. Sometime we work each
- 41:36other's nerves. I'm quite sure, but I'm quite sure work the nerves.
- 41:39But it's all in love because we want to pull the strengths out of each
- 41:45other, because we do come from different places, and I think what we
- 41:50do the best is challenge each other, yes, in a positive way,
- 41:53and that's just to bring out the best in each other. And this is
- 41:57what I appreciate about discreup here, and it's you know, it's not because
- 42:00it's Doug Crew, but a lot of people just don't understand this group and
- 42:05they don't really have to. You know, we understand each other and we're
- 42:08still here, right, so right right, And you're doing great things and
- 42:14you're offering a platform. I mean, as a new author, this was
- 42:17important to connect because especially now we're on the internet. I mean, everyone
- 42:25gets a chance to hear the story and it's because of you, it's because
- 42:30of the crew. So I appreciate the platform just being available to new authors
- 42:37or people promoting their business, because you're giving us a platform now to share,
- 42:44you know, because we otherwise wouldn't be able to share, you know,
- 42:47back in our time, back in my day, share what I have
- 42:51to call them up and be like I have to call up everybody. I'm
- 42:58not even gonna talk about mind, damn. Just don't let that go by.
- 43:01And so that I've experienced sometime and it's all good. Whatever I can
- 43:07share with anyone, I'm always open to share that. I don't feel that
- 43:13there's a reason to hide anything, to hold anything back. Each one can
- 43:19teach one and yeh, this is what we do. I've learned a lot
- 43:22from these ladies, you know, especially using this social media stuff, how
- 43:29to do certain things because I would have been at a loss. The only
- 43:31thing I know was use my computer. But I would have been at a
- 43:35complete loss without them with a lot of things and telling me terminology. I
- 43:39think I'm a little older than some of them and they're teaching me a lot
- 43:45and I appreciate it. So yeah, just you know, I just tell
- 43:50everybody, just do you. That's all you can do. When you're in
- 43:53this group, You're doing everybody because we're doing each other. And that's what's
- 43:58so special about everybody. I can go through everybody's names. But if I
- 44:01do, I have to tell you a little bit about everybody, and that's
- 44:04I could be here all night just talking about everybody. Everybody's very special to
- 44:07me. But I'm not gonna keep you. You know, Angela has she
- 44:13is busy. I'm getting ready for my next show, which would be in
- 44:20two weeks. Okay, And that's a lot. So yeah, that's that
- 44:23one is the Good Fight with Dmitria good in that it's something special. This
- 44:30is UH National Force to Kill until we're talking about abuse and a whole bunch
- 44:35of other things. So she got some great things going on. But I'm
- 44:37not gonna get too much away because I want her to be able to talk
- 44:40about herself and what she's got going on. And you said, Dimitri are
- 44:45good. I'll follow her, Okay, I'll follow you. Okay, yeah,
- 44:51please, do you so much. Yeah, I will do that.
- 44:53Thank you again for sharing your book for Victoria with everybody. Yeah, Victoria,
- 45:01I appreciate I appreciate you, Victoria, all the Victoria's out there.
- 45:06Yes, just you just stay in your lane and you were good. All
- 45:14right. Yes, that's a great night. Thank you so much. You're
- 45:17welcome. Okay, Bye, bye,
