- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven?
- 0:07Speaker 2: Or how did you get to be Monday? Already? We
- 0:12Speaker 2: got a lot to get to. We'll get to the
- 0:14Speaker 2: New York Jets. Should they be allowed to even continue
- 0:16Speaker 2: the season? Maybe they should just fourth in the whole season.
- 0:19Speaker 2: We'll get to President Trump. We'll get to the Mid East.
- 0:22Speaker 2: We'll get to George Santos, We'll get to we'll get
- 0:26Speaker 2: to the Maryll Race in a moment in great detail,
- 0:29Speaker 2: Cuomo sliwa, Mom, Donnie. We'll get to the shutdown. We'll
- 0:33Speaker 2: get to James Komi. We'll get to that. What was
- 0:35Speaker 2: that thing called the No Kings marched? The No Kings March?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Did you see it look like Halloween at the Senior Center?
- 0:46Speaker 2: They said, well, the good thing is there was no violence,
- 0:49Speaker 2: no kidding. Everybody was over sixty five. It was people
- 0:52Speaker 2: in their seventies eighties. How much violence did you expect
- 0:55Speaker 2: from them? Anyway, we'll get to that coming up. Now.
- 0:59Speaker 2: You may have noticed President Trump. This is the first
- 1:02Speaker 2: time so far that he's gone to mar A Lago.
- 1:06Speaker 2: You know, mar Alago closes in the spring, closes for
- 1:09Speaker 2: the summer because it's unbearably hot all summer down there.
- 1:14Speaker 2: You might want to bear that in mind if you're
- 1:15Speaker 2: thinking of moving there. So it's about to reopen, and
- 1:19Speaker 2: President Trump went down there for the first time first
- 1:21Speaker 2: weekend at Mar Alago in many, many, many many months. Now,
- 1:25Speaker 2: you may have noticed when he got off Air Force
- 1:28Speaker 2: One in Florida, he used the little baby stairs, not
- 1:31Speaker 2: the big grand stairs he come down, but the little
- 1:35Speaker 2: baby stairs that Biden used. Now, in the case of Biden,
- 1:38Speaker 2: he was unable to walk down the stairs without falling
- 1:40Speaker 2: and tripping and looking ridiculous, so they switched him to
- 1:43Speaker 2: the baby stairs. Now, the reason Trump has switched in Florida,
- 1:49Speaker 2: it's only in Florida, was a huge security threat. They
- 1:54Speaker 2: found what they think might have been another assassination attempt.
- 1:58Speaker 2: What's called a hunting stand, which is a platform that's
- 2:02Speaker 2: put up in a tree. They found one right near
- 2:06Speaker 2: the Palm Beach Airport where Trump lands. And that stand,
- 2:11Speaker 2: if you were a hunter, where to sit up there
- 2:12Speaker 2: in that stand or lie up there in that stand
- 2:15Speaker 2: would have a line of sight to the President coming
- 2:18Speaker 2: down the stairs of Air Force one. It's a line
- 2:21Speaker 2: of site right to where Air Force one lands. So
- 2:24Speaker 2: Luckily no one was there, but they found that and
- 2:27Speaker 2: as a precaution, they had Trump come down the little
- 2:30Speaker 2: baby stairs, which is on the other side, and it's
- 2:34Speaker 2: much safer now. When he came back to Washington. Of
- 2:36Speaker 2: course in DC it's an Air Force base, they used
- 2:40Speaker 2: the big, big stairs. But interesting that there was another
- 2:43Speaker 2: assassination plot foiled there against President Trump. So the mayoral race,
- 2:49Speaker 2: a lot is going on. It's interesting, Cuomo. No one
- 2:54Speaker 2: knows if he's actually in this campaign. He has still
- 2:57Speaker 2: not opened a campaign headquarters. Fifteen days left and he
- 3:01Speaker 2: hasn't opened a campaign headquarters yet, and he's not been campaigning.
- 3:05Speaker 2: He's done nothing for the last ten days. He basically
- 3:08Speaker 2: left the race. No campaigning. He is doing a lot
- 3:11Speaker 2: of TV interviews. He was on MSNBC this morning. He
- 3:14Speaker 2: even went on Fox this morning with Bill Hemmer. So
- 3:18Speaker 2: he is doing interviews, but he's not actively campaigning. I
- 3:21Speaker 2: don't know why in a race where you're behind, I
- 3:26Speaker 2: don't know why you wouldn't be out there campaigning like crazy.
- 3:29Speaker 2: But he's not. He's just not running a campaign. No
- 3:31Speaker 2: campaign headquarters, no campaign stops, no rallies, no no anything.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Just these TV interviews which you're pretty easy, you know.
- 3:38Speaker 2: You do these TV interviews, it's five minutes, it's ten minutes,
- 3:42Speaker 2: and that's it. So he does a couple of those
- 3:43Speaker 2: nothing else. And you got to remember a lot of
- 3:47Speaker 2: those TV interviews. If you're on Fox or you're on MSNBC,
- 3:51Speaker 2: about ninety eight percent of the people watching aren't in
- 3:54Speaker 2: New York City, so they can't actually vote for you.
- 3:56Speaker 2: So I don't know what he thinks he's doing with
- 3:59Speaker 2: these TV interview is the vast majority of the viewers
- 4:02Speaker 2: can't vote for him. So there's a poll that came out.
- 4:06Speaker 2: You might have read it, and it's in the New
- 4:07Speaker 2: York Post that says, you know, Cuomo was within striking distance.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Now if Curtis were out of the race, if your
- 4:14Speaker 2: poll just Mom, Donnie and Cuomo, Cuomo's got a shot,
- 4:18Speaker 2: He's almost caught up. Well, don't take that poll too seriously.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It's not a real poll. It's one of these cheap,
- 4:24Speaker 2: flimsy public polls. It's very few people in the poll,
- 4:27Speaker 2: and it was done before the debates, and it used
- 4:30Speaker 2: the wrong model. It uses the twenty twenty one model
- 4:35Speaker 2: where Eric Adams went because in that model, only eighteen
- 4:37Speaker 2: percent turned out to vote. It's not a good model
- 4:40Speaker 2: to use, so it's got a lot of flaws in
- 4:42Speaker 2: that poll. Now, Cuomo and these TV appearances today, has
- 4:46Speaker 2: basically been attacking Curtis like crazy. For the last two days,
- 4:52Speaker 2: he's been attacking Curtis. He's not so much going after
- 4:55Speaker 2: Mom Donn. He's just going after Curtis like crazy.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Curtisly cannot in the race. I believe he's there as
- 5:02Speaker 3: a spoiler because the Republican party bosses want to sez
- 5:06Speaker 3: or On Mondomie win for their own political purposes.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't really call him a spoiler because he
- 5:12Speaker 2: is a major party nominee. There was a Democratic primary.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Cuomo ran in that Democrats totally rejected him. He was
- 5:19Speaker 2: wiped out by a lot of votes. Had nothing to
- 5:22Speaker 2: do with the RNG choice, just in straight popular vote.
- 5:25Speaker 2: He really got wiped out. Cuomo lost the Democratic nomination,
- 5:28Speaker 2: Curtis got the Republican nomination. So those are your two
- 5:32Speaker 2: major party candidates. Curtis the Republican candidate, Mamdani the Democratic candidate.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Those are the two major party candidates. Cuomo shows up
- 5:41Speaker 2: on some third party, the independent party, whatever that is.
- 5:45Speaker 2: It's a third party, so he would technically literally be
- 5:48Speaker 2: the spoiler. He's the third party candidate, not a major
- 5:51Speaker 2: party candidate. He's been attacking Curtis Atlee and the other thing.
- 5:54Speaker 2: He could call him a shock jock. He's been doing
- 5:57Speaker 2: that for a couple of days now, jock on local radio.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Many of you probably listened to Curtis for years. He
- 6:06Speaker 2: was the number one morning show in New York for
- 6:09Speaker 2: like twenty years. He's done a lot. I don't think
- 6:13Speaker 2: anybody in their right mind would ever call him a
- 6:15Speaker 2: shock jock. He's, you know, a guy who all of
- 6:18Speaker 2: his radio career is talking about news and politics. Not
- 6:21Speaker 2: a shock jock by any stretch of the imagination. So
- 6:24Speaker 2: it's a compliment to Curtis that Cuomo in attack and
- 6:27Speaker 2: has to make up all this stuff spoiler now he's
- 6:30Speaker 2: actually a major party candidate. Shock jock never happened. So
- 6:36Speaker 2: if Cuomo's got a resort to that kind of lying,
- 6:38Speaker 2: it's a good sign for Curtis. Now, crime is a
- 6:43Speaker 2: big issue. Nobody better on that than Curtis. But Cuomo
- 6:46Speaker 2: now saying he would ask Jessica Tish to stay. He's
- 6:49Speaker 2: now come out and said that Curtis has said absolutely
- 6:52Speaker 2: he would. Mom Donnie said he's actively considering it, which
- 6:56Speaker 2: means you'll get rid of her in a second. Mom
- 6:59Speaker 2: Donnie's got a problem now because he was caught posing
- 7:02Speaker 2: with one of the ninety three World Trade Center attack guys,
- 7:09Speaker 2: his imam pal, who, by the way, has a history
- 7:12Speaker 2: of the most awful, disgusting, homophobic anti gay comments, calling
- 7:16Speaker 2: for violence against gays, calling for all courts of the
- 7:20Speaker 2: horrible things happen to anybody that's gay. This is who
- 7:23Speaker 2: Mam Donnie is posing with. Now. One thing in that poll,
- 7:28Speaker 2: that flimsy little pole that came out, it still shows
- 7:31Speaker 2: Cuomo losing to Mam Donnie, even if Curtis is out
- 7:34Speaker 2: of the race, But it does show we're hoping for
- 7:38Speaker 2: more turnout this this is a turnout race with the
- 7:40Speaker 2: Deblasio he got in because you only got eighteen percent turnout.
- 7:45Speaker 2: In the good old days, where Giuliani would get in,
- 7:47Speaker 2: you got eighty one percent turnout, So that's what we're
- 7:51Speaker 2: looking for, a huge turnout. This poll does show that
- 7:54Speaker 2: the undecided vote is mostly over fifty older people. Now
- 7:59Speaker 2: those are it would probably not go for Mam Donnie,
- 8:01Speaker 2: So there's a huge undecided vote. Out there. So if
- 8:04Speaker 2: there's huge turnout, Curtis has a chance. I don't know. Cuomo,
- 8:08Speaker 2: I could say, has a chance. But the problem is
- 8:10Speaker 2: every time you put Cuomo in a race against Mam Donnie,
- 8:14Speaker 2: he loses two debates, he lost badly the popular vote
- 8:18Speaker 2: in the Democratic primary, lost that badly. The other thing,
- 8:21Speaker 2: Cuomo was attacking Curtis, but it's a perpetual candidate. I
- 8:26Speaker 2: actually just ran once before. I think Clomo's run seventeen times,
- 8:30Speaker 2: and a couple of times it went badly and he
- 8:33Speaker 2: dropped out of the race. But Cuomo then attacking the
- 8:37Speaker 2: President Trump and again these attacks. He was going after
- 8:42Speaker 2: President Trump for indicting Komi, indicting Bolton, and he said,
- 8:47Speaker 2: prosecuting our enemies, that's what Putin does. That's not what
- 8:51Speaker 2: we do. That's Putin. We don't prosecute our enemies. Where
- 8:56Speaker 2: was he last year Trump was indicted and forced it,
- 9:00Speaker 2: four indictments, four different cities at the same time. Where
- 9:03Speaker 2: was he when they put the Bannon in jail, or
- 9:05Speaker 2: Peter Navarro in jail? Or did that ridiculous Normandy invasion
- 9:09Speaker 2: up the lawn of Roger Stone's house to arrest and
- 9:12Speaker 2: all we did was prosecute political enemies for four solid years,
- 9:16Speaker 2: a thousand times more than what's going on now. Hey,
- 9:19Speaker 2: that no King's rally yesterday. You know how if the
- 9:24Speaker 2: president says something, NBC, all the networks they reported the
- 9:29Speaker 2: President claimed without evidence. The president claimed, he claimed without evidence.
- 9:33Speaker 2: They keep using that phrase. So you'll watch these same
- 9:37Speaker 2: exact anchors, same exact networks tell you seven million people
- 9:41Speaker 2: marched in the parade yesterday, according to organizers. According to
- 9:46Speaker 2: the organizer, who that would trust them, they're not objective.
- 9:50Speaker 2: You're supposed to go to the police or somebody like that.
- 9:53Speaker 2: The police department get a crowd estimate, according to organizers,
- 9:56Speaker 2: seven million. I didn't hear once. I didn't hear any
- 9:58Speaker 2: of them say. Organizers claimed without evidence that there was
- 10:02Speaker 2: not seven million in these parades. There were police and
- 10:06Speaker 2: officials actually estimate about a million people, which means ninety
- 10:11Speaker 2: nine point nine percent of America didn't show up for
- 10:14Speaker 2: this thing. So they call it no Kings. They don't
- 10:17Speaker 2: be fooled by the name. Obviously there's no we don't
- 10:20Speaker 2: have a king. First of all, they proved that they
- 10:23Speaker 2: one good thing about these rallies. It proved we have
- 10:25Speaker 2: no king, that Trump's not a king. If there was
- 10:28Speaker 2: a king, you wouldn't have been able to have the rally.
- 10:29Speaker 2: You wouldn't have been able to disrupt major cities all over America.
- 10:32Speaker 2: You wouldn't have been able to shut down huge cities,
- 10:36Speaker 2: downtown towns. You wouldn't be able to shut them down
- 10:38Speaker 2: just like that and protest all day if there was
- 10:40Speaker 2: a king. So they proved, I guess we could thank
- 10:43Speaker 2: you for that. They proved absolutely that there is no king.
- 10:47Speaker 2: But again, they were all in costumes and everything, and
- 10:50Speaker 2: it looked like Halloween at the Senior Center. Now, every
- 10:55Speaker 2: one of the cities where there was big turnout, Philadelphia, DC, Chicago,
- 10:58Speaker 2: New York, Boston all had one thing in common. Huge
- 11:01Speaker 2: crime problems, bad bad, bad neighborhoods, ghettos. There no marching
- 11:08Speaker 2: against that, no protesting of that. They're just protesting Trump.
- 11:12Speaker 2: They want to preserve everything in their cities, the chaos,
- 11:15Speaker 2: the robberies, the homeless. They're fighting to preserve that. Now,
- 11:21Speaker 2: how do you know there wasn't as big a turnout
- 11:22Speaker 2: as they claim, Well, because they got caught on TV
- 11:26Speaker 2: using fake video showing enormous crowd, enormous crowds, But it
- 11:31Speaker 2: turned out that video was from twenty seventeen. It wasn't
- 11:35Speaker 2: the right video. A CNN look at this. CNN reported
- 11:40Speaker 2: seeing a lot of Mexican flags at the parade in
- 11:43Speaker 2: La Okay, and there were a lot of celebrities there.
- 11:46Speaker 2: John Cusack had a message for Trump and his masked
- 11:50Speaker 2: goons on behalf of his hometown of Chicago. Go to hell,
- 11:55Speaker 2: you masked goons. That's the way they talked to a
- 11:57Speaker 2: law enforcement A bunch of masked goons. President Trump some
- 12:03Speaker 2: great memes. There's one he had a million memes with
- 12:05Speaker 2: him as a king and a robe and a crown
- 12:07Speaker 2: and all that. The most amazing one was where he's
- 12:11Speaker 2: air dropping feces all over the protest. It's a nineteen
- 12:15Speaker 2: second clip. They're pretty amazing. He's got a couple of
- 12:18Speaker 2: people now that do this AI stuff for him and
- 12:21Speaker 2: pretty amazing stuff. So the no kings are out listen.
- 12:25Speaker 2: It's first of all, it has nothing to do with kings.
- 12:28Speaker 2: They don't think he's a king. This is the bottom line,
- 12:30Speaker 2: and all this it's not it. They don't think he's
- 12:33Speaker 2: a king. They don't. They've just run out of names
- 12:36Speaker 2: to call him. They called him Hitler, a fascist. They
- 12:39Speaker 2: call him every name in the world. They've just run
- 12:40Speaker 2: out of name, so that's just no Kings. But what
- 12:42Speaker 2: it really was, it's just a Trump derangement syndrome. March.
- 12:46Speaker 2: It's just a hate Trump parade, that's all it is.
- 12:50Speaker 2: It's a Trump derangement syndrome. March. It's a hate Trump parade,
- 12:55Speaker 2: that's all it is. It's just a way of the
- 12:57Speaker 2: hate Trump. And if you look at him, you might say, well,
- 13:00Speaker 2: why they're so old, these people, it's all senior citizens mostly.
- 13:06Speaker 2: It happens with senior citizens a lot. They have nothing
- 13:08Speaker 2: to do all day. They're not working anymore. They got
- 13:10Speaker 2: too much free time. Now, some might become obsessed with
- 13:14Speaker 2: sports and watching baseball and sports day in it, but
- 13:17Speaker 2: many of them they got nothing to do, so they
- 13:19Speaker 2: become obsessed with politics and they pick a side and
- 13:22Speaker 2: they sit there. And if you're on the left and
- 13:23Speaker 2: you're watching MSNBC all day or CNN, you're watching a
- 13:27Speaker 2: hell of a lot of fake news. You're getting all
- 13:29Speaker 2: fired up, and they've got nothing else to do. And
- 13:32Speaker 2: if you hang out with people in their thirties or forties,
- 13:34Speaker 2: they never discuss politics. Ever, they're talking about what club
- 13:38Speaker 2: they went to, what restaurant, who they're going out with.
- 13:40Speaker 2: They've got all sorts of stuff to tell, their problems
- 13:42Speaker 2: at work, they talk about everything. If you're hanging out
- 13:45Speaker 2: with people in their sixties, seventies, eighties, they're talking about politics.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Because they're not leading active lives. They don't have a
- 13:50Speaker 2: lot to talk about. So they become obsessed with this
- 13:53Speaker 2: and they've all decided they're now political experts, and they
- 13:58Speaker 2: just get obsessed with it. And that's why you see
- 13:59Speaker 2: a lot of these older people out there marching like crazy. Hey,
- 14:04Speaker 2: speaking of the Merrill race, I should have pointed this out.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Next debate, final debate is Wednesday night. It's Wednesday night.
- 14:12Speaker 2: It'll be on New York One, which nobody sees, but
- 14:14Speaker 2: hopefully it'll be all over online. YouTube all of that
- 14:19Speaker 2: and get seen. Cuomo did badly in the first debate,
- 14:23Speaker 2: Mam Donnie was. He's a good debater, but he was
- 14:26Speaker 2: trying to be very neutral on things, trying to be
- 14:28Speaker 2: very word slady, deliberately not to take any extreme positions. Curtis,
- 14:33Speaker 2: everybody believes won the debate, but nobody knows if anybody
- 14:37Speaker 2: noticed that he won the debate, So that's the problem.
- 14:39Speaker 2: But the final debate, second debate is this Wednesday, and
- 14:42Speaker 2: then early voting starts on Saturday. Election begins on Saturday. Hey,
- 14:48Speaker 2: by the way, some people say, well, I look at
- 14:50Speaker 2: those betting markets, you know, the poly markets I check that.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Don't ever take those seriously. They change constantly. It might show,
- 14:58Speaker 2: you know, Curtis wednds Bay fifty points. The next week,
- 15:01Speaker 2: it'll show Curtis loses by twelve points. Next week it'll
- 15:04Speaker 2: show Curtis wins by thirty. They just go up and down.
- 15:07Speaker 2: And remember, the only people betting are amateurs. It's just
- 15:10Speaker 2: a bunch of amateur opinions. And the problem is those
- 15:13Speaker 2: betting markets have a very bad track record. They're not
- 15:16Speaker 2: very accurate. They've been wrong many, many, many times. You
- 15:19Speaker 2: could list thousands of times selections they just got wrong.
- 15:22Speaker 2: The other problem is it's about money. People bet money,
- 15:26Speaker 2: so whoever's got the most money totally changes the bet.
- 15:31Speaker 2: So they've found when they've researched these the polling market,
- 15:34Speaker 2: for instance, four accounts basically control the whole thing. Four
- 15:38Speaker 2: major accounts by a French trader who has tons of
- 15:41Speaker 2: money in there, so he can change the numbers and
- 15:43Speaker 2: the odds just like that, so it's not an accurate
- 15:46Speaker 2: reflection of anything. And each of those betting markets, there's
- 15:49Speaker 2: a couple of guys who are the major major players
- 15:52Speaker 2: with massive amounts of money. They change the odds up
- 15:55Speaker 2: and down, so it doesn't reflect the public in any way. Hey,
- 15:59Speaker 2: we'll take some calls in the eight hundred three two
- 16:01Speaker 2: one zero seven tennis the number eight hundred three two
- 16:05Speaker 2: one zero seven ten.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Set up said on the iHeartRadio app to do wo
- 16:10Speaker 1: R to hear Mark live. Set another for Mark's podcast
- 16:14Speaker 1: to hear him anytime.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Now back to Mark Simone on wo R. Hey, let's
- 16:21Speaker 2: take some calls eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 16:25Speaker 2: tennis number. Let's go to Mara in Nevada. Mara, how you.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Doing so good? I'm talking to you chow Vincent Mark,
- 16:33Speaker 4: I made warn a Wolf, a member of the Marx Goldenovis.
- 16:38Speaker 4: He said he was eighty eight. So now, and this
- 16:41Speaker 4: is why I called, did you watch Boston Blue?
- 16:45Speaker 2: Yes?
- 16:46Speaker 4: What did you think? Copycat? It was so Turkey?
- 16:52Speaker 2: It's good. It's no, it's no blue Bloods. It's not
- 16:55Speaker 2: even close.
- 16:56Speaker 4: It's not Come on, So now, they have set out
- 17:00Speaker 4: of day Jennis, so because they jewsed No, Well, I
- 17:03Speaker 4: like Danny Warlburg. I will watch it none other time.
- 17:06Speaker 4: But I'm gonna watch the reruns of Bonnie Miller. Another
- 17:10Speaker 4: very good cop show.
- 17:12Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling. Yeah, blue Blood's is gone
- 17:16Speaker 2: an institution. A great show, Boston Blue This one Danny
- 17:19Speaker 2: Reagan Wahlberg. He goes to Boston. Something happened his son.
- 17:23Speaker 2: It turns out the plot is his son has become
- 17:26Speaker 2: a Boston police officer. He gets injured, so Danny Reagan
- 17:31Speaker 2: goes up there to help, and he becomes very close
- 17:33Speaker 2: to the Boston Police Department. I guess this is the
- 17:36Speaker 2: plot that he'll eventually join the Boston Police Department. It's okay,
- 17:40Speaker 2: it's not It's not Blue Bloods. It's not even close.
- 17:46Speaker 2: But what are you gonna do? The reruns around all
- 17:49Speaker 2: the time, blue Blood's reruns, so you can just watch those.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Let's go to Bill in Brooklyn. Bill, how you doing good?
- 17:55Speaker 5: Mark? How you doing good? I'd just like to say
- 17:59Speaker 5: I've been people. Stay away from these polls.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Don't listen to them.
- 18:04Speaker 6: They are there to deceive.
- 18:06Speaker 2: And well, it's not to wmuch that it's they're cheap.
- 18:09Speaker 2: They're cheap, cheap, cheap, flimsy polls. A real poll is
- 18:13Speaker 2: what the candidates would use. These public polls cost about
- 18:17Speaker 2: four or five thousand bucks to do. They're cheap. The
- 18:19Speaker 2: real polls that the internals, those are like a million
- 18:22Speaker 2: dollars a month. Now, no campaign has done them. Nobody's
- 18:26Speaker 2: spent the money this time, so we don't have the
- 18:28Speaker 2: real polls. These are cheap. This latest one that came
- 18:31Speaker 2: out today uses the wrong turnout model. It's not likely voters.
- 18:36Speaker 2: It's got all kinds of problems with it. So the
- 18:39Speaker 2: you know, they'll tell you it's a margin verius four percent,
- 18:41Speaker 2: it's more like thirty percent on these cheap public polls.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Let's go to Steve in Manhattan.
- 18:46Speaker 5: Steve, how you doing, man, Damny, No jails, no bail,
- 18:51Speaker 5: no police.
- 18:52Speaker 7: We'll go with Curtis Baby.
- 18:54Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling. Let's go to Kevin in Charlotte, Kevin,
- 18:58Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 19:00Speaker 5: Hi?
- 19:00Speaker 2: Mark?
- 19:01Speaker 8: My question is why would Mikey Cheryl want disgrace President
- 19:06Speaker 8: Obama's endorsement. He's typically the kiss of death to any
- 19:10Speaker 8: politician he endorses.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a good point, Mikey Schall got Barack Obama.
- 19:14Speaker 2: He wouldn't come endorse her. He wasn't worth flying in
- 19:17Speaker 2: for her, but he made a video or something like that.
- 19:19Speaker 2: But you're right, every time Obama endorses a candidate, I
- 19:23Speaker 2: think it's like ninety nine point eight percent of the time,
- 19:25Speaker 2: they always lose. So not a good move for her.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Let's go to John and New Jersey. John, how you doing.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I'm good going.
- 19:35Speaker 9: So my opinion on the mayor's race doesn't mean much
- 19:38Speaker 9: to you, but from Jersey, Cuomo is in the race
- 19:42Speaker 9: to help Mondami.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Now Coloma's in the race because he has nothing else
- 19:46Speaker 2: to do, nowhere else to go. You got to give
- 19:49Speaker 2: him credit just for Utzbahan when was less of He
- 19:53Speaker 2: saw a guy leave office in total disgrace, has to
- 19:56Speaker 2: resign because of threats of indictment, the attorney General's after
- 20:00Speaker 2: from the ethics committees that he has to relieve in
- 20:02Speaker 2: total disgrace, and then he runs again. You know, even
- 20:05Speaker 2: Nixon went and hid for a few years and he
- 20:08Speaker 2: eventually made a comeback, but it was you know, many
- 20:11Speaker 2: many many many years later. But Cuomo had nowhere else
- 20:14Speaker 2: to go, and I you know, he's politics is all
- 20:19Speaker 2: he knows. I'm sure if you asked him, I'll tell
- 20:21Speaker 2: you that's my business. Politics. I don't do it well.
- 20:23Speaker 2: He's even got a TV commercial where he says that
- 20:25Speaker 2: this is all I know how to do is politics.
- 20:28Speaker 2: But you could also make the case he doesn't do
- 20:30Speaker 2: it very well. As a governor, he was the most
- 20:33Speaker 2: left wing kook with his no bail, no jail, closed
- 20:35Speaker 2: the prisons, all that crazy left wing stuff, and then
- 20:39Speaker 2: got himself run out of office, had the Flea Albany
- 20:41Speaker 2: and resign and disgrace. So you could argue, hey, maybe
- 20:45Speaker 2: he's not so great at this. I want more. Called
- 20:47Speaker 2: Pete in the Bronx. Pete, what do you want to say? Yep,
- 20:51Speaker 2: wait a minute, Pete, go ahead. I got to hei Mark.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I gotta agree with the last caller.
- 20:57Speaker 5: The Dems are smart. They're keeping Qualm will win the
- 21:00Speaker 5: race simply to get mom Dommi elected and to split
- 21:03Speaker 5: the vote anyone else.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that could be, but they're not keeping him the race.
- 21:05Speaker 2: He has nothing to do with the Democrats. He's a
- 21:07Speaker 2: third party candidate and they can't get rid of him.
- 21:10Speaker 2: But you remember there are only two major party candidates.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Curtis the Republican Mom Donnie the Democrat. Cuomo is actually
- 21:18Speaker 2: a third party candidate, which is always the spoiler of
- 21:21Speaker 2: the third party candidate. If he dropped out of the race,
- 21:24Speaker 2: maybe Curtis would have a much, much, much better shot
- 21:27Speaker 2: at this. Hey, Michael Goodwin is away. He's on vacation.
- 21:31Speaker 2: But when we come back, Liz Peak the Brilliant Columnist,
- 21:34Speaker 2: we'll fill in for him and we'll talk to her
- 21:37Speaker 2: next on seven to ten. WR, you're ahead of the
- 21:41Speaker 2: game just for being here.
- 21:43Speaker 1: He smarks himone on sevent ten wor.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Hey, Michael Goodwin away this week, Liz Peak the Brilliant Columnist.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Check out our website every day lizpeak dot com, Great
- 21:56Speaker 2: news columns, information lizpeak dot com, and you get all
- 22:00Speaker 2: over columns there, of course, you see all over Fox
- 22:02Speaker 2: and all over television. Liz Peek. How you doing.
- 22:06Speaker 5: I'm terrific.
- 22:06Speaker 10: Thank you for having me.
- 22:09Speaker 2: You did March yesterday? Did you in the No Kings March?
- 22:12Speaker 11: No? No, I didn't.
- 22:15Speaker 10: I'd forgotten my Mickey Mouse costume, so I really wasn't prepared.
- 22:19Speaker 2: It did look like a Halloween at the Senior Center,
- 22:21Speaker 2: didn't it. Yeah?
- 22:23Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean really it was ridiculous. But you know, Mark,
- 22:27Speaker 10: it's kind of a sad moment because you sort of
- 22:32Speaker 10: I actually have a piece that I'm sending in a
- 22:34Speaker 10: Fox in a minute about what are they protesting? Are
- 22:38Speaker 10: they protesting Trump going after the fentanyl importers who've killed
- 22:44Speaker 10: so many young Americans? Are they protesting the fact that
- 22:47Speaker 10: we now have a border.
- 22:49Speaker 5: That is secure?
- 22:51Speaker 10: Do we have an education Department that has a new
- 22:53Speaker 10: mandate which is actually to teach black and brown kids
- 22:57Speaker 10: how to read? I mean, you kind of go through
- 22:59Speaker 10: all all the stuff that the Trump White House is doing,
- 23:03Speaker 10: not you know, importantly, including reshoring, manufacturing and trying to
- 23:10Speaker 10: make American companies competitive overseas, and you kind of say,
- 23:14Speaker 10: what is it all about? What are they so angry about.
- 23:16Speaker 10: What they're really angry about is that we elected the
- 23:20Speaker 10: majority of the country elected somebody that don't like That's
- 23:23Speaker 10: what it comes down to.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it's different. You know the same thing with George
- 23:27Speaker 2: Bush that you know, they always went after him a little,
- 23:29Speaker 2: but Trump really riles them up, doesn't he. I guess
- 23:32Speaker 2: he does it deliver it.
- 23:35Speaker 10: They hate him, and partly it's because he just doesn't
- 23:38Speaker 10: play by the rules. You know, he goes after his opponents.
- 23:41Speaker 10: He's rough, he's crude sometimes, and because he gets stuff done.
- 23:47Speaker 10: I mean, I think that's why they hate him. Actually,
- 23:49Speaker 10: I think it's because, number one, he got elected in
- 23:53Speaker 10: spite of an all court legal press to make sure
- 23:58Speaker 10: that he was unelectable, which failed monumentally, and he won
- 24:04Speaker 10: in spite of all that. And I think they just
- 24:08Speaker 10: they really can't handle it because now that he's president
- 24:12Speaker 10: and that he has both Houses of Congress, he's going
- 24:16Speaker 10: after all the fraud and the waist and the NGOs
- 24:21Speaker 10: that Elon Musk called out for being basically money launderers
- 24:26Speaker 10: and all these things. And you know, most Republicans just
- 24:29Speaker 10: don't go there. They're afraid to go there, and he
- 24:32Speaker 10: is not.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, the mayoral race only fifteen days left. The
- 24:37Speaker 2: problem is Andrew Cromo is so unlikable. And I mean,
- 24:43Speaker 2: it'd be great if we had one candidate, but we
- 24:46Speaker 2: got two major party candidates Kuoma the third party. But
- 24:50Speaker 2: and you watch the debate. He was not too great
- 24:52Speaker 2: in that debate.
- 24:53Speaker 10: Oh, he was better than he was in the primary
- 24:57Speaker 10: debate when he was just like totally out to lunch.
- 25:01Speaker 10: But even then, this one, I mean, this is pretty incredible.
- 25:04Speaker 10: He really didn't look prepared to answer the obvious questions.
- 25:09Speaker 10: He didn't have you know, Mom Donnie came with prepared
- 25:13Speaker 10: sound bites. Curtis Leewa had prepared sound bites. Sound bites.
- 25:18Speaker 10: But here's the really tragic thing. A poll that's just
- 25:22Speaker 10: new shows that it's possible that Cuomo could win if
- 25:26Speaker 10: Curtis Leewa gets out of the race. I don't I
- 25:30Speaker 10: don't like Andrew Cuomo. I think he's horrible. He was
- 25:33Speaker 10: a horrible governor, but he's better than Mom Donnie. And
- 25:36Speaker 10: Curtis Leewa has no chance of winning.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so very view a very flawed poll. John McLaughlan
- 25:44Speaker 2: pointing out the ust the wrong model in that poll.
- 25:45Speaker 2: It's only a few hundred people, so but go ahead.
- 25:49Speaker 10: Well, at the end, we don't really have any better
- 25:51Speaker 10: information to go on, and no one has been able
- 25:54Speaker 10: to make the case that Sleewa can pull this out.
- 25:57Speaker 5: But by the.
- 25:57Speaker 10: Way, the only guy that really made any sense or
- 26:01Speaker 10: displayed any deep knowledge of the city and its problems
- 26:05Speaker 10: was Curtis sleewat that debate. I think that is a
- 26:08Speaker 10: fair statement. I just don't think he probably can win.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Yeah, now, if you ask Curtis, if you said that
- 26:13Speaker 2: to Curtis, he'll say, well, yeah, you guys are all
- 26:15Speaker 2: doing that to me. It's like you're creating the whole
- 26:17Speaker 2: myth that I can't win.
- 26:18Speaker 10: But well, it's possible. It's possible.
- 26:23Speaker 6: You know.
- 26:23Speaker 10: We had him on the morning since Maria showed it
- 26:26Speaker 10: this morning, and he had a great line talking about
- 26:30Speaker 10: Andrew Cuomo, saying, you know, because of him, we're locking
- 26:34Speaker 10: up the you know, products at CVS instead of the criminals.
- 26:39Speaker 10: And he's totally right. I mean, look, Cuomo's terrible. I
- 26:42Speaker 10: don't want to vote for him. I just don't want
- 26:44Speaker 10: mom Donnie to be our mayor, and sadly it looks
- 26:48Speaker 10: like he probably will be. But Sleewah raises a good point.
- 26:52Speaker 10: If we all weren't out there saying please drop out,
- 26:55Speaker 10: maybe he would be doing better.
- 26:56Speaker 2: I don't know what a mess. Hey, did you know
- 27:00Speaker 2: there's still I didn't realize that there's still a government shutdown?
- 27:03Speaker 2: Do you think anybody notices this?
- 27:04Speaker 9: Ah?
- 27:05Speaker 10: Isn't that something?
- 27:08Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 27:08Speaker 10: And you know, supposedly Democrats were waiting for No King's
- 27:12Speaker 10: Day to get together and vote in favor of the
- 27:18Speaker 10: government reopening. I think there's a really good question about
- 27:21Speaker 10: how that's going to be perceived by the far left.
- 27:24Speaker 11: Are they going to be.
- 27:25Speaker 10: Happy that the government reopens if the Democrats have nothing
- 27:29Speaker 10: to show for their shutdown?
- 27:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 27:33Speaker 10: I think this is risky for Democrats, but it goes
- 27:36Speaker 10: on and on, and you know, I don't really know
- 27:41Speaker 10: what they're accomplishing. Maybe they are accomplishing having more focus
- 27:46Speaker 10: on the Obamacare subsidies. I think that's probably a fair statement.
- 27:50Speaker 10: But you know, I think the Republicans are going to
- 27:54Speaker 10: be pretty wary of letting those healthcare premiums go through
- 28:00Speaker 10: the roof anyway, and a lot of red states are
- 28:03Speaker 10: going to really see big increases in the cost of Obamacare,
- 28:08Speaker 10: and so my guess is there's rooms to negotiate there,
- 28:11Speaker 10: but you know, shutting down the government is not the
- 28:14Speaker 10: way to do it.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we'll see. Lot's going to happen this week,
- 28:19Speaker 2: and the next debate is Wednesday night, mayoral debate. Well, yeah,
- 28:23Speaker 2: Liz Peak great stuff. Now tell everybody about lizpeak dot
- 28:27Speaker 2: com who puts that all together. It's very well written
- 28:30Speaker 2: stuff there.
- 28:31Speaker 10: Thank you, thank you. Well, mostly it's me, but I
- 28:34Speaker 10: also have some people helping me just keep the information coming.
- 28:38Speaker 10: So I appreciate your talking about it.
- 28:40Speaker 2: That's what's great. Thank you, very good news. Sight. Add

- 29:28Speaker 2: Hey, not bad today, not bad. The rain is over.
- 29:31Speaker 2: It should be nice for a few It's gonna be
- 29:33Speaker 2: in the sixties all week, in the fifties. Sixties, all right,
- 29:36Speaker 2: that's fall, that's autumn. Yeah, it's good for you. You get that,
- 29:39Speaker 2: you get your other clothes out now. Anyway, we got
- 29:42Speaker 2: a lot to get to it in the next hour.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Scotch Shannon will be with us. Lots to talk about
- 29:47Speaker 2: with him. We'll get to the back to the mayoral race,
- 29:49Speaker 2: We'll get to James Comy, We'll get to Amazon. The
- 29:54Speaker 2: cloud went out, disruption of airlines, all sorts of stuff.
- 29:59Speaker 2: We'll get that in the next hour. And don't forget.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I'm here every day ten to noon or or you
- 30:06Speaker 2: can listen to any time you want. Just get the
- 30:08Speaker 2: podcast that way. You can listen anytime day or night
- 30:10Speaker 2: wherever you get your podcasts. Otherwise ten to noon, live
- 30:13Speaker 2: here every day, be back right after the news on
- 30:16Speaker 2: seven to ten WOR.
- 30:18Speaker 12: News breaks out in every show, Mark Simone on seven
- 30:23Speaker 12: ten wor, Hey.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Lots to get to this hour. You know, a lot
- 30:33Speaker 2: of stuff is up there on that Amazon cloud. A
- 30:36Speaker 2: lot of business and all sorts of stuff operates through
- 30:39Speaker 2: that Amazon cloud. So there was a widespread disruption early
- 30:44Speaker 2: this morning of the Amazon Cloud computing service that took
- 30:48Speaker 2: out dozens of major airline services. Social media sites went us.
- 30:53Speaker 2: You know that Snapchat went out. Did you know there
- 30:57Speaker 2: still was a Snapchat? You know that somebody was still
- 31:01Speaker 2: using Snapchat. Fortnite video games were disrupted the Chat app signal,
- 31:06Speaker 2: which is that's used by a lot of government officials.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Three it took three hours totally out and that slowly
- 31:14Speaker 2: started to recover and came back. Online outages included Snapchat Fortnite,
- 31:22Speaker 2: the McDonald's app down detector. Well that's the problem. Everything,
- 31:29Speaker 2: you know, goes more and more and more digital. You
- 31:31Speaker 2: canno got more stuff with one bad outage. So the
- 31:36Speaker 2: mayor all race. Hey, there was a mayor old debate.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Is this Saturday Night Live? Yeah, Saturday Night Live. You know,
- 31:42Speaker 2: it was the first week on Saturday Night Live where
- 31:45Speaker 2: the opening sketch, the cold open, as they say, not political.
- 31:49Speaker 2: It wasn't Trump bashing. It's the first time in years
- 31:51Speaker 2: they didn't do any Trump bashing on it. But then
- 31:54Speaker 2: the there's only two things anybody watches, that opening sketch
- 31:57Speaker 2: and then that fake newscast weekend update. This is from
- 32:01Speaker 2: weekend update.
- 32:02Speaker 13: During the first New York mayoral debate, Andrew Cuomo attacks
- 32:05Speaker 13: are on mom Donnie's saying that he once gave the
- 32:08Speaker 13: finger to the Columbus Day statue, whereas Cuomo snuck up
- 32:12Speaker 13: behind the statue and grabbed about hips.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the thing. Even these Democrats can't stand Cuomo.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Remember he lost by a lot. He lost the Democratic primary.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Democrats rejected him in the primary. He's running as a
- 32:26Speaker 2: third party candidate now although we say running, but he's
- 32:30Speaker 2: not actively campaigning. There's been no there's no campaign headquarters sheet.
- 32:35Speaker 2: He's taken like ten days off from the race. Now
- 32:37Speaker 2: here's Cuomo right away.
- 32:39Speaker 3: First one hundred days in office. Five thousand new police officers,
- 32:43Speaker 3: fifteen hundred in the subway, number two. We're gonna start
- 32:46Speaker 3: construction on eighty thousand new affordable units. The only way
- 32:50Speaker 3: you're gonna get the rents down is by increasing the supply.
- 32:54Speaker 2: That's what has happened.
- 32:55Speaker 6: We have suppling rents on short term before you start building.
- 32:58Speaker 3: You can't no now without a gimmick that comes back
- 33:02Speaker 3: and bite you in.
- 33:02Speaker 2: That took us later on. Yeah, see, he got all
- 33:05Speaker 2: kinds of plants. First hundred days, first one hundred day.
- 33:07Speaker 2: One of the reasons is he tends to leave office
- 33:10Speaker 2: early in disgrace. Last time hesing off the hat to
- 33:12Speaker 2: leave early in disgrace. So that's why the first hundred
- 33:14Speaker 2: days is important. You know, they keep talking about this
- 33:16Speaker 2: affordability problem, Housing affordability, this is the problem. It's a crisis,
- 33:20Speaker 2: big crisis affordability. Then why would you vote for the Democrats.
- 33:25Speaker 2: They've been running everything in New York for fifteen years.
- 33:28Speaker 2: The mayor, the governor, the legislature, the City council, everything
- 33:31Speaker 2: is Democrat. If they've created such a crisis, switch parties.
- 33:36Speaker 2: That's enough. President Trump. I think it's a joke. I
- 33:40Speaker 2: looked at the people.
- 33:40Speaker 6: They're not representative of this counjact.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Oh, he's talking about the No King's rally. I think
- 33:45Speaker 2: it's a joke. I looked at the people. They're not
- 33:47Speaker 2: representative of this COUNJAYT. Yeah, it was mostly senior citizens.
- 33:51Speaker 2: It's the people in the nursing homes that survived Cuomo.
- 33:54Speaker 2: They were the ones out there with the No King stuff.
- 33:59Speaker 2: That Trump is not a Curtis fan. He does not
- 34:01Speaker 2: like Curtis. But remember on the radio for years, Remember
- 34:05Speaker 2: Curtis had like the number one morning show for twenty
- 34:08Speaker 2: years and he was bashing Trump all the time, and
- 34:11Speaker 2: Trump was listening. So he hasn't forgotten that this is
- 34:13Speaker 2: Trump on Sleiewey.
- 34:14Speaker 6: Am I a big fan. This isn't exactly idea where
- 34:18Speaker 6: he wants to make Gracie mansion a home for the cats.
- 34:21Speaker 6: You know, Gracie Mansion is a magnificent home of Fiorello
- 34:26Speaker 6: LaGuardia and the Great Mayor's Rudy Rudy Julien here, Rudy
- 34:29Speaker 6: Giuliani was the greatest mayor in the history of New York.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Well, if that's the case, Rudy is telling everybody to
- 34:36Speaker 2: vote for Curtis. Rudy is saying that Curtis will keep
- 34:40Speaker 2: going what he started. Rudy Giuliani has one thousand percent
- 34:44Speaker 2: endorsed Curtis. So, now, as far as sending the National
- 34:49Speaker 2: Guard or troops into cities into states, why that's awful.
- 34:52Speaker 2: It's unheard of. Trump talking about using the Insurrection Act.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Why that's unheard of. That's ridiculous, that's unlawful. If you
- 35:01Speaker 2: check the record, it's done all the time. Every president
- 35:05Speaker 2: has sent troops into cities and states. Every president has
- 35:08Speaker 2: used the Insurrection Act. It's done all the time. You
- 35:13Speaker 2: could just google it. How many president Google how many
- 35:15Speaker 2: presidents have used the Insurrection Act? You'll get hundreds and
- 35:18Speaker 2: hundreds of answers. How many times as a president send
- 35:21Speaker 2: troops into a city or a state. You'll get hundreds
- 35:24Speaker 2: and hundreds and hundreds. You know, when Kennedy wanted it,
- 35:28Speaker 2: was having trouble with these schools in the South. They
- 35:30Speaker 2: wouldn't let black students in. Even the Southern governors would
- 35:34Speaker 2: stand in the doorways to block it. When Kennedy was
- 35:37Speaker 2: fighting that, at one point he had to send seventy
- 35:40Speaker 2: five thousand troops into the Southern States military to get
- 35:46Speaker 2: that done. So it's done all the time. You can
- 35:48Speaker 2: find almost every president in a riot in all sorts
- 35:52Speaker 2: of situations. You remember the George Floyd riots, for the
- 35:55Speaker 2: troops were sent into many, many cities in those cases.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Here's Trump on the Insurrection Act.
- 36:01Speaker 6: But don't forget I can use the Insurrection Act. Fifty
- 36:06Speaker 6: percent of the presidents almost have used that, and that's
- 36:10Speaker 6: unquestioned power. I choose not to. I'd rather do this,
- 36:15Speaker 6: but I'm met constantly by fake politicians, politicians that think
- 36:22Speaker 6: that you know, it's not like part of the radical
- 36:25Speaker 6: left movement to have safety. These cities have to be safe.
- 36:31Speaker 6: Are cities that are Democrats run exclusively just about our
- 36:36Speaker 6: unsafe cities.
- 36:38Speaker 2: So we'll see no kings. I think they enjoyed themselves.
- 36:43Speaker 2: They get to give them something to do. These angry,
- 36:45Speaker 2: crazy left wingers, mostly senior citizens. They were out there
- 36:48Speaker 2: yelling and screaming and chanting, maybe you shood every week.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Let me give them something to do every week. Set
- 36:53Speaker 2: up like a No King's field where they can go
- 36:56Speaker 2: do this every week. They did it all over the place.
- 36:59Speaker 2: If you're out in the suburb, you'd see it near
- 37:00Speaker 2: your town. Connecticut, there was a No King's rally in Greenwich, Connecticut,
- 37:05Speaker 2: where the governor himself Ned Lamont, left wing Democrat, although
- 37:09Speaker 2: very often a common sense Democrat, but there he was
- 37:12Speaker 2: leading the No Kings march. It was quite something. It
- 37:17Speaker 2: must have been I don't know, thirty people, forty people,
- 37:20Speaker 2: It was quite a march right in front of Restoration
- 37:24Speaker 2: Hardware there rh store. Lasted a couple hours, then they
- 37:28Speaker 2: went home. Hey you know Twitter, of course, you know
- 37:31Speaker 2: Twitter x. When Elon Musk bought it and he took
- 37:37Speaker 2: away the censorship under the old owners, conservatives were getting
- 37:42Speaker 2: censored what they call shadow ban you. They make sure
- 37:46Speaker 2: nobody saw your feed. I had that happened to me.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Everybody had it happened to them. And then there was
- 37:51Speaker 2: out and out censorship where they removed people's accounts. The
- 37:54Speaker 2: New York Post. They took away their account because the
- 37:57Speaker 2: Post published the story about Hunter's laptop. So let me
- 38:00Speaker 2: think about this. This is hard to believe this kind
- 38:03Speaker 2: of censorship could exist in America. They literally took down, banned,
- 38:08Speaker 2: took away the New York Post Twitter account. Even President Trump,
- 38:12Speaker 2: the actual president of the United States, they took away
- 38:14Speaker 2: his Twitter account. This unbelievable censorship. So Elon Musk bought
- 38:18Speaker 2: it and took away the censorship, the bias, and made
- 38:22Speaker 2: it fair balanced. Well, this drove liberals nuts. They wanted
- 38:26Speaker 2: no part of this, so they went and formed their
- 38:30Speaker 2: own Twitter. It's called blue Sky. Most of the left
- 38:33Speaker 2: wing people, most of the liberals, most of the Democrats,
- 38:35Speaker 2: don't go on Twitter anymore. They go on blue Sky.
- 38:38Speaker 2: That's their version of Twitter, left wing Twitter. So this
- 38:42Speaker 2: will be interesting to watch what happens here. President Trump
- 38:46Speaker 2: this weekend for the first time, opened an account on
- 38:48Speaker 2: Blue Sky and started tweeting on Blue Sky. He made
- 38:53Speaker 2: his debut. He took some of his best memes and
- 38:57Speaker 2: clips and put him into a montage that was his opening.
- 39:00Speaker 2: He wrote, what's up blue Sky? We thought you might
- 39:03Speaker 2: have missed some of our greatest hits. So we put
- 39:04Speaker 2: this together for you. Now, this is taunting liberals. It'll
- 39:07Speaker 2: be interesting to see what Blue Sky does. Do they
- 39:10Speaker 2: ban him, do they remove his account? Do they shadow
- 39:14Speaker 2: man him? Which means they leave you there. But they
- 39:16Speaker 2: can fix the algorithm so your feed doesn't go to anybody,
- 39:21Speaker 2: So keep an eye on that. James call Me, his
- 39:23Speaker 2: defense will make their first motions today in court. Looks
- 39:29Speaker 2: like with John Bolton, they absolutely have him convicted. If
- 39:32Speaker 2: you look at all the evidence, it looks like there's
- 39:34Speaker 2: no way out of this for Bolton. Looks like a
- 39:36Speaker 2: very easy conviction. Call Me should be convicted, but you
- 39:41Speaker 2: never know, it's a smaller charge. There may be more
- 39:44Speaker 2: charges coming against call Me. He's a very bizarre guy.
- 39:50Speaker 2: You know, he's a former communist. You've seen that Rush
- 39:53Speaker 2: Limbaugh clip that's going around the internet. Yeah, he was actual,
- 39:57Speaker 2: he became he called himself a Republican. Now most people
- 40:00Speaker 2: think he was never ever really a Republican. He just
- 40:03Speaker 2: declared himself a Republican at one point, but that was
- 40:06Speaker 2: so he could be in the Bush administration, and it
- 40:10Speaker 2: was more for you know, for his job prospects to
- 40:15Speaker 2: become a Republican. At that time, Republicans were in power,
- 40:18Speaker 2: so he declared himself a Republican, but he admits he
- 40:21Speaker 2: was actually an active Communist to member the Communist Party.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Same thing with James Clapper, you know, the CIA director,
- 40:29Speaker 2: And these are two guys that were responsible for all
- 40:31Speaker 2: the dirty, sleazy stuff that went on in the Deep State.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Clapper was an actual member of the Communist Party. He
- 40:37Speaker 2: admits he voted for the Communist candidate for president, so
- 40:41Speaker 2: Comy as well. They were both actual members of the
- 40:43Speaker 2: Communist Party. We're just goes to show you we came
- 40:46Speaker 2: a long way from Joe McCarthy. Used to be if
- 40:49Speaker 2: you went to a meeting of the Communist Party, were
- 40:51Speaker 2: banned from everything forever. Now you can be an actual
- 40:54Speaker 2: registered Communist like Comy or Clapper, and then you become
- 40:58Speaker 2: the FBI Director of the Director. So things have definitely changed.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Government shutdown continues. I just mentioned that because most people
- 41:05Speaker 2: won't notice. The Democrats kept saying, well, right, we can't
- 41:10Speaker 2: do anything until the No Kings March. Well they did
- 41:12Speaker 2: the No Kings March. Let's see if they make any
- 41:15Speaker 2: progress this week. The New York Jets, should they be
- 41:19Speaker 2: allowed to continue to play? There's a debate going on.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Should the New York Jets just stop playing? Give up?
- 41:28Speaker 2: Nobody knows what to do. There's an actual movement. The
- 41:31Speaker 2: problem is Woody Johnson is a very nice guy and
- 41:34Speaker 2: does a lot of great things in the real world.
- 41:37Speaker 2: But he bought the New York Jets years ago, and
- 41:39Speaker 2: he is, without question, I think everybody agrees on this,
- 41:42Speaker 2: the single worst owner in the history of sports. Nobody
- 41:46Speaker 2: has been. There's never been an owner this bad. They
- 41:50Speaker 2: just lose every game this season. They're zero to seven.
- 41:54Speaker 2: There are people yelling and screaming in the sports world
- 41:56Speaker 2: that there should be some mechanism to remove a team
- 42:00Speaker 2: from its owner, to force an owner out if he
- 42:04Speaker 2: really stinks as an owner, and it wouldn't be a
- 42:07Speaker 2: bad thing for Woody Johnson. I think he bought the team.
- 42:09Speaker 2: I think for I think it was six hundred or
- 42:12Speaker 2: seven hundred million, and they say now the team is
- 42:17Speaker 2: probably worth eight billion, possibly ten billion, So it'd be
- 42:22Speaker 2: a great deal for him to get out. Were people
- 42:24Speaker 2: were praying Trump would appoint him to something or make
- 42:28Speaker 2: him an ambassador, just to give him the hell out
- 42:29Speaker 2: of here, but that won't work either. Last time that happened,
- 42:32Speaker 2: His son took over, and the son was just as
- 42:34Speaker 2: bad as an owner. But it's a total disaster, zero
- 42:37Speaker 2: and seven. They lose every game, doesn't matter, he said, well,
- 42:40Speaker 2: maybe they should get some better players, doesn't matter. Whoever
- 42:44Speaker 2: they get, they ruin them. Remember Aaron Rodgers or whoever
- 42:46Speaker 2: they bring in, they ruin. It's it's just the worst
- 42:50Speaker 2: owner ever, the worst team ever. Hey, George Santos, this
- 42:54Speaker 2: was surprised to everybody. President Trump commuted his sentence. A
- 42:57Speaker 2: lot of people were pressuring him to do it. Santos.
- 43:02Speaker 2: It's a nice guy. He's a cute guy. Santos. He
- 43:06Speaker 2: you know, he lied in the race. He lied about
- 43:08Speaker 2: his resume, lied about everything. Well, so that Tim Wattz.
- 43:11Speaker 2: But and the problem was in the congressional race he
- 43:15Speaker 2: was in. He was up against a whole bunch of
- 43:17Speaker 2: amateurs who there was no real opposition, and they forgot
- 43:21Speaker 2: to do opposition research. They were just would have discovered
- 43:24Speaker 2: these lives, but they didn't until he got elected. Then
- 43:27Speaker 2: people started looking at him. But the bad part was
- 43:29Speaker 2: he did stuff where he defrauded people to get money
- 43:35Speaker 2: out of them. He did defraud people get money. So
- 43:37Speaker 2: that's the criminal problem. And that's the criminal charge. But
- 43:40Speaker 2: he went through hell in prison for a month or two,
- 43:43Speaker 2: a couple of months, three months, I think, and apparently
- 43:45Speaker 2: the warden had it in for him and was really
- 43:49Speaker 2: rough on him. People were appealing to President Trump over
- 43:51Speaker 2: and over, political people, congress people, friends. Finally Trump decided
- 43:57Speaker 2: the guy was being traded to tree it humanly in prison.
- 44:01Speaker 2: So commuted is sentenced.
- 44:03Speaker 5: Now.
- 44:03Speaker 2: The other thing that got commuted, he did have to
- 44:06Speaker 2: pay a six hundred thousand dollars fine that got commuted
- 44:09Speaker 2: as well. So may have been a little over commuting there.
- 44:12Speaker 2: But here's Georg Santas. He got out of prison, and it.
- 44:15Speaker 14: Was thank you to President Trump for clemency and for
- 44:19Speaker 14: having such an amazing will for second chances.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:24Speaker 14: So I've made some poor choices in my life, but
- 44:27Speaker 14: nothing would warrant an insane, arbitrary sentence. But on top
- 44:32Speaker 14: of that, a sentence that no one else would have gotten,
- 44:35Speaker 14: a treatment that no one else would have gotten, forty
- 44:38Speaker 14: one days in isolation in the shoe.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Yeah, they put him in solitary for forty one days.
- 44:43Speaker 14: I understand people want to make this into a he's
- 44:46Speaker 14: getting away with it, right, I'm not getting away with it.
- 44:49Speaker 14: I was the first person to ever go to federal
- 44:52Speaker 14: prison for this type of civil FEC violation. These are
- 44:56Speaker 14: usually solved in penalties, and I don't want to focus
- 45:00Speaker 14: on trying to rehash the pass. I want to take
- 45:02Speaker 14: this experience and do good and move on with the future.
- 45:05Speaker 14: Repentance is an understatement. It's like I have been dealt
- 45:09Speaker 14: a second chance. I have a lot to prove to
- 45:13Speaker 14: a lot of people, and I have to make sure
- 45:15Speaker 14: President Trump understands that I am not going to disappoint him.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Now. He did, you know, defraud people get a lot
- 45:23Speaker 2: of money, and he spent it on luxuries, on clothes,
- 45:27Speaker 2: on cars, on watches, all this stuff. But he has
- 45:31Speaker 2: been telling people after he got out of prison now
- 45:33Speaker 2: that it changed everything as far as wealth goes. And
- 45:37Speaker 2: he realized, you know, when you get out of prison,
- 45:39Speaker 2: he said, just to have your own toilet, just to
- 45:42Speaker 2: have your own bathroom, to be able to go to
- 45:43Speaker 2: the bathroom in private and closed doors, to have your
- 45:46Speaker 2: own shower and do it privately, and to have eat
- 45:49Speaker 2: actual real food instead of the worst food in the world.
- 45:54Speaker 2: To be able to, you know, go to bed when
- 45:56Speaker 2: you want. And he said they realized that that's the
- 46:00Speaker 2: real wealth. It changed everything. He no longer cares about
- 46:03Speaker 2: the material luxuries that he understands what real wealth is,
- 46:06Speaker 2: have your family, your friends with you. So, uh, it's
- 46:10Speaker 2: an interesting lesson for everybody to remember. Hey, we'll take
- 46:13Speaker 2: some calls in a moment. Eight hundred three two one
- 46:16Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three two
- 46:19Speaker 2: one zero seven ten that Marsham wor Hey, let's take
- 46:26Speaker 2: some calls. Let's go to uh, Jimmy and New Milford. Jimmy,
- 46:30Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 46:32Speaker 5: Good morning, Mark haw Way, I'm good Mark.
- 46:37Speaker 9: Did you know Shelley Fireman? What do you had at
- 46:39Speaker 9: ten Lsey Steakhouse?
- 46:40Speaker 2: Well, a little before my time, but I knew Shelley
- 46:43Speaker 2: Fireman very well. He was one of the great restaurant
- 46:45Speaker 2: tours in New York. He owns the Red Eye Grill
- 46:47Speaker 2: Trotteria de Larte Fiorrella bonds forty five and he just
- 46:52Speaker 2: died at the end of ninety three. Yeah, it was
- 46:54Speaker 2: a great guy.
- 46:56Speaker 5: What happened.
- 46:57Speaker 9: Marky had a two rosy car center of the restaurant,
- 47:02Speaker 9: and at the time I was dating my wife, so
- 47:04Speaker 9: to be a big shot. What I did is I
- 47:07Speaker 9: got my wife and her parents tickets to the theater
- 47:11Speaker 9: and dinner at the Tenzy restaurant. And what happened when
- 47:16Speaker 9: Shelley knew that it was me who was making the arrangements.
- 47:20Speaker 9: He sat them in the king Living. Her parents said
- 47:25Speaker 9: to me, not to me. I said to Barbera, the Barbara,
- 47:29Speaker 9: that guy's a winner. For him to have the owner
- 47:32Speaker 9: in a restaurant, do it is for us? He has
- 47:34Speaker 9: to be great.
- 47:35Speaker 5: Wow, that was fifty three years ago.
- 47:37Speaker 2: He is great. That's a little again, a little before
- 47:39Speaker 2: our time, but he is great. Is Shelley Fireman? He
- 47:42Speaker 2: just passed away last week, ninety three years old. You know,
- 47:45Speaker 2: at ninety three he was still working every day, going
- 47:47Speaker 2: to work every day. In fact, he just opened a
- 47:48Speaker 2: new restaurant called the Paris Bar. It's on fifty seventh
- 47:53Speaker 2: between sixth and seventh. But going to work every day.
- 47:56Speaker 2: I saw him a few months ago. He's very, very
- 47:58Speaker 2: active and his restaurants are still great. Trotteria del Arte
- 48:03Speaker 2: is great, Red Eye Grill, Fiorella Cross from Lincoln Center,
- 48:06Speaker 2: Bond forty five. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 48:09Speaker 2: how you doing? Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 48:13Speaker 15: I just wanted to mention that today.
- 48:16Speaker 5: Would Mickey Mantle's ninety fourth birthday.
- 48:19Speaker 15: So now my fellow in New Yorkers would appreciate that.
- 48:23Speaker 15: I'm sure old number seven.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Yeah. That his restaurant on fifty ninth Street, Mickey Mantons.
- 48:29Speaker 2: Remember I did my show from there for one year
- 48:31Speaker 2: every day for Live from Mickey Mantles. We used to
- 48:34Speaker 2: have an audience every day. Mickey was there every day.
- 48:36Speaker 2: I saw him in there a couple of times. Yeah,
- 48:39Speaker 2: times I was there. We could never put him on
- 48:40Speaker 2: the air because he was no he was taste testing
- 48:46Speaker 2: the product. Yes, thanks for calling. Yeah, I did my
- 48:49Speaker 2: show there live every day for a year, and people say,
- 48:52Speaker 2: why don't you have Mickey Manlin, Why didn't you ever
- 48:53Speaker 2: have Mickey Maylon. It was a no shape to go
- 48:56Speaker 2: on the air, but he was there every day with us,
- 48:58Speaker 2: and it was always an inspiration. You know, you're on there,
- 49:01Speaker 2: but you can look over there and sitting there was
- 49:04Speaker 2: Mickey Mantle. I mean his head was kind of slumped over,
- 49:08Speaker 2: but it was Mickey Mantle. Nonetheless, let's go to Rich
- 49:10Speaker 2: and Myrtle Beach.
- 49:11Speaker 5: Rich, how you doing, Thanks Mark, That brings that good memories.
- 49:14Speaker 5: I was born in the Bronx. I remember seeing Mickey play,
- 49:17Speaker 5: you know, some of those terrible Yankee teams in the
- 49:19Speaker 5: early seventies and late sixties. You know this, George Santo's
- 49:23Speaker 5: pardon was the greatest fu to the Democrats, Bloomenthal, Biden,
- 49:27Speaker 5: all these Plagiariyes and Lion Democrats and Liberals, And it
- 49:31Speaker 5: was just a big, you know, f you to all
- 49:33Speaker 5: those people, trumped an awesome thing by that. I couldn't
- 49:35Speaker 5: be happier for that guy, you know.
- 49:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know.
- 49:37Speaker 5: They've a't done the same thing. They'ven't done the exact
- 49:39Speaker 5: same thing and got away with it.
- 49:41Speaker 2: No, he does a lot of these FEUs to the liberals,
- 49:43Speaker 2: but you got to be careful. You don't want to
- 49:44Speaker 2: do too many of them. But what do I know?
- 49:46Speaker 2: I mean, every time I tell him he's gone too far,
- 49:48Speaker 2: as too much, he always turns out to be right
- 49:51Speaker 2: in the end. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 49:53Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 49:54Speaker 15: Good morning, Mark, Good morning Mara. As far as George
- 49:58Speaker 15: Santo's getting out of the joint, there the forty days
- 50:01Speaker 15: he was in forty days in solitary confinement. As George
- 50:06Speaker 15: Santo said it the cell had bed bugs and lice,
- 50:11Speaker 15: and eating that crappy food is you pointed out that
- 50:14Speaker 15: I'm sure every cook and every handler in the kitchen,
- 50:20Speaker 15: you know, spit in his food. So doing forty days
- 50:24Speaker 15: in solitary confinement is like doing four months and better.
- 50:29Speaker 15: And I believe he really got a good taste of
- 50:33Speaker 15: no pun intended, what it's like being in the joint Mark.
- 50:38Speaker 15: I'm no fan of Andrew Cuomo, but in response to
- 50:42Speaker 15: what Zora and Mandani said, it that stupid debate the
- 50:46Speaker 15: other night when he leans across the podium the table
- 50:51Speaker 15: and goes, how many mosques have you visited?
- 50:54Speaker 7: Andrew? Well, conversely, zorin how many synagogues have you gone in?
- 51:00Speaker 10: To?
- 51:00Speaker 7: Have you gone into the biggest synagogue in New York
- 51:03Speaker 7: City down on the east the Parkway.
- 51:04Speaker 2: We had a sap pot Vincent. That's a brilliant point.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Why didn't Cuomo think of that?
- 51:09Speaker 7: That's probable, Well, because his brain is as you said,
- 51:12Speaker 7: he's taken too many of those shots, and I think
- 51:15Speaker 7: it's actually shrinking the size of his brain, not only.
- 51:19Speaker 2: His Uh, we got the picture.
- 51:22Speaker 7: And another thing I want to say. Saturday, I'm listening
- 51:26Speaker 7: to one of the shows up the dial, a financial show,
- 51:30Speaker 7: and this economist sometimes he's like, comes on your show
- 51:35Speaker 7: and his sick liberal that was thrown off all the
- 51:38Speaker 7: other shows at night, the overshows at night. The guy's
- 51:41Speaker 7: about seventy four years old from the Bronx, a Jewish
- 51:44Speaker 7: liberal fins gets on the economist show. I'm not going
- 51:50Speaker 7: to mention his name and start screaming everything in the world.
- 51:54Speaker 7: Trump is this, that and the other, and then the
- 51:56Speaker 7: last one, Trump weaponizes the justice to go after his
- 52:02Speaker 7: are these individuals and this economist says, I'm against tariffs
- 52:08Speaker 7: and I'm also against weaponizing the judge.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Yeah, but let me just explain that's not lawfair. Lawfairs
- 52:14Speaker 2: when you get in dited, lawfairs, when you get in
- 52:16Speaker 2: did yeah, lawfairs when you're getting dieted in four cities
- 52:19Speaker 2: at the same time.
- 52:20Speaker 7: That's one may can I say that he forgets to
- 52:23Speaker 7: mention that all these companies and the countries are putting
- 52:27Speaker 7: twenty seven thirty fifty percent tariffs on us. And also
- 52:32Speaker 7: the fact that.
- 52:33Speaker 2: Vincent, we got we gotta go though, because we got
- 52:35Speaker 2: a great call. We got the greatest living DJ in
- 52:38Speaker 2: the world waiting, and we're going to talk to Scott

- 53:02Speaker 2: DJ Scott Shannon of course the true Oldies channel. You
- 53:05Speaker 2: can listen to that and it's great to happen with us.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Scott Shannon, how you doing.
- 53:10Speaker 11: I'm so happy to be here on seven ten wo
- 53:14Speaker 11: or home of the Sean Hannity Show and the legendary
- 53:18Speaker 11: Mark Simoon.
- 53:19Speaker 2: And you are the voice of the Sean Hannity Show
- 53:22Speaker 2: of course every day.
- 53:24Speaker 11: But he's a neighbor of mine, you know.
- 53:27Speaker 2: Oh you mean in Florida. Yeah, yeah, I.
- 53:30Speaker 11: Mean I don't live right down the street from him,
- 53:33Speaker 11: but I'm close by. Let's put it that way. It's
- 53:35Speaker 11: a different area, let's put it that way.
- 53:39Speaker 2: And when you're near his house, tell us about the noise,
- 53:41Speaker 2: the loud parties? Is that what's going on there?
- 53:43Speaker 11: No, there's nothing going on. By the way, I thought
- 53:47Speaker 11: about you the other night. I was my wife's birthday
- 53:51Speaker 11: was on Saturday, and we went to eat probably a
- 53:56Speaker 11: place you go to La Penguin.
- 53:59Speaker 2: Penguin is the Greenwich, right.
- 54:03Speaker 11: That's correct. Yes, Well, we were going in there and
- 54:07Speaker 11: I noticed the guy's sitting on the table next to me.
- 54:10Speaker 11: He kept looking at me and he said, aren't you
- 54:12Speaker 11: Scott Shannon? I said yeah, And I thought he might
- 54:16Speaker 11: listen to me on the True Oldies channeler an old
- 54:20Speaker 11: PLJ Listen. I listened to you all the time on
- 54:23Speaker 11: Mark some own show.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Well, you see that's our audience, that very upscale, well
- 54:29Speaker 2: to do Love Penguin type crowd.
- 54:30Speaker 11: That's who listens to That's amazing, I said, yeah. In fact,
- 54:35Speaker 11: I'm going to be on there coming Monday.
- 54:38Speaker 4: I said.
- 54:39Speaker 11: You know, we often discussed the power of the Swifties. Yeah,
- 54:44Speaker 11: and you're always amazed at how popular she is and
- 54:48Speaker 11: how many albums she sells. But now this is kind
- 54:53Speaker 11: of weird. Did you hear about the museum in Germany? No, Well,
- 54:58Speaker 11: there's a big the famous museum there. I don't know
- 55:02Speaker 11: what the name of the place is, but they have
- 55:05Speaker 11: a picture of the Shakespeare character Ophelia and there's a
- 55:11Speaker 11: song now on her album, you know, the very popular
- 55:15Speaker 11: Life of a Showgirl, and it's the first single, I
- 55:17Speaker 11: believe Ophelia. And that's all these Swifties are flocking to
- 55:24Speaker 11: the museum to take pictures and to be there and
- 55:27Speaker 11: look at Ophelia.
- 55:29Speaker 2: Hey, how does that log?
- 55:32Speaker 8: You say?
- 55:33Speaker 5: No?
- 55:33Speaker 11: And also she's doing she has a video of it
- 55:36Speaker 11: that they've had like I don't know, some like seventy
- 55:40Speaker 11: million views already. In the video she becomes she plays Ophelia,
- 55:47Speaker 11: and she's, you know, has some kind of white gown
- 55:50Speaker 11: and she's in a bed of water lilies and all that.
- 55:54Speaker 11: And I take the play the museum Weissboden, Do I
- 55:58Speaker 11: say that?
- 55:58Speaker 15: Right?
- 55:59Speaker 2: Yeah? Oh yeah?
- 56:01Speaker 11: But just more more proof that these Swifties are such
- 56:06Speaker 11: big fans.
- 56:07Speaker 2: So how does this work? They make an album, there's
- 56:09Speaker 2: twelve songs, and then they tell all the radio stations
- 56:11Speaker 2: this will be the first single, this is the one
- 56:13Speaker 2: we want you to play.
- 56:15Speaker 11: That's how it works. However, believe it or not, I
- 56:18Speaker 11: think she occupied the top ten places with singles from
- 56:23Speaker 11: the album, just songs from the album.
- 56:25Speaker 2: Yeah. So, but there have been cases where you guys,
- 56:29Speaker 2: like a smart guy with great ears like you'll hear
- 56:33Speaker 2: another cut and said, wait a minute, this is the
- 56:34Speaker 2: one and you'll play that and that'll be coming hit
- 56:36Speaker 2: without the That happened.
- 56:37Speaker 11: That's happened to me several times in my life. Wan
- 56:40Speaker 11: involved the group that's been in the headlines lately.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Kiss.
- 56:45Speaker 11: Yeah, you know. I left the radio business for a
- 56:50Speaker 11: short period back in the seventies. I was young and
- 56:53Speaker 11: crazy and wanted to live in la I didn't know.
- 56:56Speaker 11: I didn't understand what a hell hole. But I got
- 57:02Speaker 11: a job at Casa Blanca Records, which had Kiss on
- 57:05Speaker 11: their label. I happened. I knew the CEO, the owner,
- 57:10Speaker 11: Neil Bogar, you know his name. They had a movie
- 57:13Speaker 11: about him that was a big flop I had. When
- 57:16Speaker 11: Kiss first started. He want All he wanted to do
- 57:19Speaker 11: was get Kiss played on top forty radio. So I
- 57:23Speaker 11: suggested that they record this song I thought to be cute.
- 57:26Speaker 11: It was an oldie from the sixties done by maybe
- 57:31Speaker 11: you remember Bobby Rydell and Kissing Time.
- 57:34Speaker 2: Yeah. Bobby Rydell's still around, isn't he.
- 57:37Speaker 11: No, he's passed. I'm sorry.
- 57:39Speaker 2: A couple of years ago he was still around.
- 57:41Speaker 11: But the group Kiss actually we had to record that
- 57:45Speaker 11: because I said that, and Gene Simmons never let me
- 57:49Speaker 11: forget that. He said, yea a year the ay hole
- 57:52Speaker 11: made us record that song, Kissing Time. And I also
- 57:57Speaker 11: actually toured with the He put me on the road
- 58:01Speaker 11: with the band to go around the different cities and
- 58:05Speaker 11: get them interviewed on the radio stations and possibly they
- 58:10Speaker 11: would play their music and we were doing and you
- 58:14Speaker 11: got to understand, Ace Frehley was a different kind of musician.
- 58:19Speaker 11: He was, you know, he was a little wacky, but
- 58:23Speaker 11: he a little bit more whacky, but he was a
- 58:28Speaker 11: great guitar player. Ace Frehley was an awesome guitar player.
- 58:34Speaker 11: And as you know, he just died at the age
- 58:36Speaker 11: of seventy four. He fell at his home. He's got
- 58:39Speaker 11: a home studio, and he got a brain bleed and
- 58:44Speaker 11: they kept him alive like four or five weeks, and
- 58:47Speaker 11: he finally passed away on Friday. But he was a
- 58:53Speaker 11: very special guy. And the funny part about it is
- 58:56Speaker 11: the guys who actually threw him out of the band
- 59:00Speaker 11: all of a sudden love him. They put out these
- 59:02Speaker 11: statements about Ace Frehley and and Gene Simmons and the
- 59:07Speaker 11: singer Paul Stanley actually run that thing, you know, that's there,
- 59:12Speaker 11: that's their baby. And if you were, if you worked
- 59:16Speaker 11: in the band, you had a salary. But they they
- 59:19Speaker 11: owned the band, so to speak.
- 59:21Speaker 2: I didn't know. Now this year, you spent a year
- 59:24Speaker 2: on the road with him. I imagine, do a concert,
- 59:26Speaker 2: go right back to hotel, go right to sleep. Right. No,
- 59:28Speaker 2: there were no parties nothing.
- 59:31Speaker 11: They had parties every night. I don't remember that song
- 59:34Speaker 11: rock and roll all night and party every day. That's
- 59:37Speaker 11: kiss and And it's a funny thing about it too,
- 59:41Speaker 11: that the Ace Ace and Peter Chris the drummer, both
- 59:46Speaker 11: had problems in certain areas. All right. Every every time
- 59:53Speaker 11: I'd go out with Ace Frehley to the radio station,
- 59:56Speaker 11: he always had a bottle of Blue Nun, remember that wine.
- 1:00:02Speaker 11: He would carry the blue Nun bottle with him everywhere
- 1:00:05Speaker 11: he went and just sip off of it. And I
- 1:00:08Speaker 11: remember we were we were doing an autograph party in Atlanta,
- 1:00:13Speaker 11: remember the Peaches record stores. They were huge, and we
- 1:00:19Speaker 11: were doing a personal appearance. And back then, they wore
- 1:00:22Speaker 11: all those kiss outfits everywhere they went. That was what
- 1:00:27Speaker 11: they did. So they get up and get they wanted
- 1:00:29Speaker 11: to be famous and successful so bad. They had makeup
- 1:00:33Speaker 11: artists and make up do all their makeup and get
- 1:00:36Speaker 11: in those big stupid boots and they would it would
- 1:00:39Speaker 11: go to the station with me, and also I would
- 1:00:42Speaker 11: take them to We set up this big, big promotion
- 1:00:46Speaker 11: at the Peaches store. So there was probably five thousand
- 1:00:52Speaker 11: kids in line to meet Kiss and all of a
- 1:00:56Speaker 11: sudden they got ready to leave. They had a couple
- 1:00:58Speaker 11: of limos out front, and Jean Simmons says, Hey, Scott,
- 1:01:03Speaker 11: where the hell is Ace. I said, I don't know,
- 1:01:06Speaker 11: I don't know where Ace is. Let me look around.
- 1:01:09Speaker 11: So I found him. I came back out and he
- 1:01:11Speaker 11: was talking to the manager of the Peaches store and
- 1:01:15Speaker 11: they were sitting in his blue nun bottle back in
- 1:01:17Speaker 11: the in the storeroom. And I came back. I said, Ace,
- 1:01:21Speaker 11: it's time to go, and Jean says, he's going to
- 1:01:24Speaker 11: leave without you're taking the limos. So sure enough, Simmons
- 1:01:29Speaker 11: just took off and took the other two members Peter
- 1:01:33Speaker 11: and Paul, but left Ace in full uniform in the
- 1:01:37Speaker 11: back room at the Peaches with me.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Hard to hail a cab dressed like that.
- 1:01:42Speaker 11: So were I was going to get a cab. He's
- 1:01:45Speaker 11: got those big boots and he says, nah, it's right
- 1:01:47Speaker 11: down the street. Let's just walk down there. So we're
- 1:01:51Speaker 11: in right on Peachtree Boulevard in Atlanta, walking down the
- 1:01:56Speaker 11: street and some kids come by. They were they, I guess,
- 1:02:00Speaker 11: at the thing and they had like this little Ford,
- 1:02:04Speaker 11: I don't know what it was, a very small Ford
- 1:02:08Speaker 11: Falcon or something like that, and say, you guys want
- 1:02:10Speaker 11: to ride? He said, yeah, we'll go with you. And
- 1:02:15Speaker 11: he had to put his friend in the back seat
- 1:02:17Speaker 11: because Ace couldn't sit back there because they had the
- 1:02:20Speaker 11: big boots on. So we're going there's only two blocks
- 1:02:23Speaker 11: down the road and the kid says, hey, you're funny.
- 1:02:26Speaker 11: You dressed up like Ace Frehley to come to the
- 1:02:29Speaker 11: Beaches store. I said, no, no, this is Ace, and
- 1:02:33Speaker 11: the kid swat. He pulled the car over and he says,
- 1:02:38Speaker 11: oh my god, A'ce Fraley's in my car and he
- 1:02:40Speaker 11: looks over him and they can't even talk at that point,
- 1:02:43Speaker 11: and so finally they drop us off at the hotel.
- 1:02:47Speaker 11: That was pretty funny. And you got to remember when
- 1:02:50Speaker 11: when Kiss finally got fairly successful, they all four put
- 1:02:55Speaker 11: out solo albums that was Neil Bogart's idea. They put
- 1:02:59Speaker 11: out so albums and kiss I mean and A's had
- 1:03:03Speaker 11: the only one that really sold. It was the biggest
- 1:03:06Speaker 11: of all four. He had the biggest following and the
- 1:03:09Speaker 11: only and the only big hit. You remember that song
- 1:03:12Speaker 11: called back in the New York Group.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: I love that song. That's right huge it. Hey, we
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: got to We're out of time, but can we continue
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: this next time?
- 1:03:20Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:03:20Speaker 11: I got a lot, I got I'll go I got
- 1:03:23Speaker 11: Britney Spears News.
