- 1:12Speaker 4: they were a whizz So, yeah, it's too bad, but
- 1:16Speaker 4: what did you expect. It's a podcast called twenty five Whistline.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Oh blow the whistle there. Okay, so this is coming
- 1:26Speaker 1: out on Friday. We actually recorded this Wednesday afternoon before
- 1:31Speaker 1: we went to Thanksgiving, So anything that said if it
- 1:35Speaker 1: happens on Thanksgiving Day, we didn't know to hold that
- 1:37Speaker 1: against us. I said, let's all get together on Thanksgiving.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Nobody wanted to.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Do it, so I know I was behind you too, man,
- 1:43Speaker 3: Kevin and Casey and Reid didn't want was bring in
- 1:45Speaker 3: the turkey.
- 1:47Speaker 1: H So anyway, that's what's up. We're happy to get
- 1:48Speaker 1: an episode up because we got some really cool stuff
- 1:51Speaker 1: we're doing here talking about. But we recorded this like
- 1:54Speaker 1: not on Thursday afternoon on Wednesday afternoon, So don't don't
- 1:59Speaker 1: hold it against Do you want to predict the winners
- 2:01Speaker 1: and the Thanksgiving games that happened yesterday? Yes, Bears and Lions,
- 2:05Speaker 1: Lions a ten point favorite. The Lions won, but it
- 2:09Speaker 1: was weird to see Klabi Yams regress and he had
- 2:11Speaker 1: as bad.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I know, man from a couple of good games.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Good.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree, but the Lions looking strong again. Many
- 2:17Speaker 3: they're unbeatable.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Right, and they played in leather helmets, which I thought
- 2:20Speaker 1: when they came out, I thought it was weird.
- 2:23Speaker 3: It was the Lions versus the monsters of the Midwest.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Thought it was weird, but they did it and they
- 2:27Speaker 1: want it. Giants and Cowboys. Now, the Cowboys went into
- 2:31Speaker 1: this a four point favorite, Eddie. What was your favorite
- 2:33Speaker 1: part of the game, the Cowboys winning? Dude, I mean
- 2:35Speaker 1: it's just, you know, two wins in a row, like
- 2:38Speaker 1: what happened? Are we gonna make the playoffs now?
- 2:41Speaker 3: Doubtful?
- 2:41Speaker 1: Okay, Now there's fantasies and they're super fantasy. But he
- 2:44Speaker 1: just went into super fantasy.
- 2:46Speaker 3: But then I went real again. It's very doubtful.
- 2:49Speaker 1: No, but it really is not. It's a no, it
- 2:51Speaker 1: is a no, it's not a doubtful.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Well no, if they win every game from here on out,
- 2:55Speaker 3: it's definitely possible.
- 2:57Speaker 1: You're not even a fan. We've already had this, you
- 2:58Speaker 1: already gave up on them. Yeah, right, Packers Dolphins.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Game, best game of the day.
- 3:04Speaker 1: That was good. Yeah, it was crazy to see Roger
- 3:06Speaker 1: suit up for the Packers again all of a sudden.
- 3:09Speaker 5: That was when he came out in the smoke.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Didn't expect it, didn't expect it. But uh yeah, good
- 3:14Speaker 1: Packers victory there.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Did you know that Vince Lombardi lived right in one
- 3:18Speaker 3: of those houses right by the stadium when he coached.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I did not know that.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I don't know what. I think it came out like
- 3:25Speaker 3: on Sunday Night football or something they had and after
- 3:27Speaker 3: games he would throw parties at his house, like literally
- 3:29Speaker 3: right across from the parking lot. Legend that'd be pretty cool.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Anyway, I guess I'm not I'm trying to think how
- 3:36Speaker 1: I'm like processing. I guess I'm not surprised. That's not
- 3:39Speaker 1: one of those factor are like wow, but you're also
- 3:42Speaker 1: like huh about that?
- 3:42Speaker 3: Well, I just you know, they show the stadium and
- 3:44Speaker 3: then they show the little houses that are right across
- 3:46Speaker 3: the street and people parking the yards and everything, and
- 3:48Speaker 3: I never thought much about it, but now it's like, wow,
- 3:50Speaker 3: head coach, probably some players live there and you just
- 3:52Speaker 3: walk to work every day. Pretty cool.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's mildly cool.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's about it.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Games tonight, Chiefs and Raiders. Chiefs should run that one. Yeah,
- 4:04Speaker 1: so we can do college football, which is a little
- 4:06Speaker 1: more entertaining because there are a bunch of rivalry games
- 4:11Speaker 1: that actually could matter. I mean, this is the points
- 4:13Speaker 1: present gigantics like Boise State's gonna kill Oregon State.
- 4:18Speaker 3: That just happened.
- 4:21Speaker 5: It's Friday games.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Oh.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I was like, I the schedules all weird. I was like,
- 4:25Speaker 1: it didn't just happen because I don't know the score, right,
- 4:28Speaker 1: so we have to guess that one. Yeah, Alabama Auburn ship.
- 4:32Speaker 1: It doesn't matter anymore, does it. It doesn't matter USC
- 4:34Speaker 1: Notre Dame is interesting. When does that game happen?
- 4:37Speaker 5: That's Saturday.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Okay, I'm done. Rivals, We're not doing that. I'm not
- 4:41Speaker 1: guessing what day's games are guess all of Yeah. No,
- 4:44Speaker 1: I just expect there to be a bit of mayhem
- 4:46Speaker 1: that happens. So anyway, we got a good show here.
- 4:48Speaker 1: We're gonna let's go to our interview. First to Greg
- 4:51Speaker 1: Rosenthal because this will make the most sense. So he's awesome.
- 4:55Speaker 1: He's been working with the NFL since twenty twelve. He's
- 4:57Speaker 1: had numerous shows, including the one he hosts now called
- 5:00Speaker 1: NFL Daily Podcast. It's a great NFL podcast. You can
- 5:03Speaker 1: download a where we listen to podcasts. If you listen
- 5:06Speaker 1: to us and you're like, I get all my NFL
- 5:07Speaker 1: information from twenty five whistles, don't.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Go check out Greg ros We don't recommend that.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yes, you can follow him on Twitter at Greg Rosenthal.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Here he is Greg Rosenthal.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Okay, Greg?
- 5:17Speaker 1: First off, squon is he the MVP right now?
- 5:20Speaker 6: No, I wouldn't.
- 5:21Speaker 7: I wouldn't mind if someone voted for him, but we
- 5:24Speaker 7: got what six seven weeks left of the season. I
- 5:26Speaker 7: would still go Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen, but he
- 5:29Speaker 7: would be in my top three. You got to do
- 5:30Speaker 7: a top five now he would be number three on
- 5:32Speaker 7: my list.
- 5:33Speaker 1: So you would go right now, say it again, Josh Allen. Two.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson won Saquon at three with a few games left.
- 5:39Speaker 7: Is that what I heard, yeah, and it's more than
- 5:41Speaker 7: a few games left. I've remembered so many of these
- 5:43Speaker 7: MVP races. There was that year where Tom Brady was
- 5:45Speaker 7: unanimous with three weeks left of the season. Everyone was like, hmm,
- 5:48Speaker 7: is Michael Vick the MVP now? After one good game?
- 5:51Speaker 7: And it tends to really start at Thanksgiving, I think
- 5:54Speaker 7: when people really nail it down, if Saquon keeps us up,
- 5:57Speaker 7: he is right in the mix. But I would probably
- 5:59Speaker 7: take a quarterback playing at a super high level, which
- 6:02Speaker 7: I think Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson have done over
- 6:04Speaker 7: Saquon Barkley. If it was last year where we were
- 6:07Speaker 7: kind of searching for an MVP, I think Saquon would
- 6:09Speaker 7: be in a better shot.
- 6:10Speaker 1: No, I think he nailed the two because one of
- 6:11Speaker 1: our friends is like, bet a thousand bucks on Dak
- 6:13Speaker 1: do the MVP, and I did, and then Dak wasn't
- 6:14Speaker 1: the MVP and he flamed out last year and I'm
- 6:16Speaker 1: still angry, angry at that thousand bucks. I've bet on
- 6:18Speaker 1: that one. So yeah, I felt that talk about the
- 6:21Speaker 1: Eagles because every sense he shaved his head, they've won
- 6:24Speaker 1: eight in a row. Are the Eagles for real?
- 6:26Speaker 7: They are, and I was worried because I don't know
- 6:28Speaker 7: if you noticed this, but he kind of took it
- 6:30Speaker 7: back again before the Sunday night game against the Rams.
- 6:33Speaker 7: He got it trimmed up, and I just thought, don't
- 6:35Speaker 7: don't mess with what's working that you had that hospital
- 6:39Speaker 7: look that he went with, but it still worked. He
- 6:41Speaker 7: always does something goofy, like the way they ended that
- 6:44Speaker 7: first half, and yet they're just so talented on both fronts.
- 6:48Speaker 7: I always that's what I look for at the beginning
- 6:50Speaker 7: of the season. Who's good on the offensive line in
- 6:52Speaker 7: the defensive line, and you can kind of find maybe
- 6:55Speaker 7: who are going to be the surprising teams. I think
- 6:56Speaker 7: Denver is one reason they've been so good this year
- 6:59Speaker 7: is because of that. And right now Philadelphia I think
- 7:01Speaker 7: is number one. If you just combine offensive line defensive line,
- 7:04Speaker 7: they're the best in the league.
- 7:05Speaker 1: You bring up Denver, I'm a big bow Knicks guy.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Early on, even when he sucked, I was like, man,
- 7:09Speaker 1: he sucks, but he sucks hard, meaning like he went
- 7:12Speaker 1: for it constantly. When he was terrible, he was terrible,
- 7:14Speaker 1: but I love that about him. And now bo Nix
- 7:17Speaker 1: has come on, where Jayden Daniels probably ribs still a
- 7:20Speaker 1: little banged up. They haven't won. Is Jaden Daniels still
- 7:24Speaker 1: the rookie of the Year right now in your mind?
- 7:27Speaker 7: Yes, And I actually don't think it's that close. BONNICKX
- 7:30Speaker 7: has played awesome, He's in a great spot, his coaches
- 7:33Speaker 7: getting open receivers for him.
- 7:35Speaker 6: And if he keeps this up.
- 7:37Speaker 7: And Jayden Daniels keeps playing worse, then yes, by the
- 7:40Speaker 7: end of the season. But at this point we've only
- 7:41Speaker 7: played eleven or twelve weeks. In the first six weeks
- 7:44Speaker 7: of the season, I think Jayden Daniels could have been
- 7:46Speaker 7: the MVP.
- 7:47Speaker 6: So to me, that weighs heavy enough.
- 7:49Speaker 7: That bo Knicks, who started slow, hasn't caught up to
- 7:53Speaker 7: him yet. But if it continues like this, I'm not
- 7:55Speaker 7: giving Jaden Daniels that rib excuse because I just think
- 7:58Speaker 7: we struggled in the media at the talk about that
- 8:00Speaker 7: after the rib injury, he played two really good games
- 8:03Speaker 7: and then yesterday people probably would have blamed it on
- 8:05Speaker 7: the rib, But then he made a lot of great
- 8:07Speaker 7: plays in the fourth quarter, So like, was the rib
- 8:09Speaker 7: not hurting then?
- 8:10Speaker 6: I don't really know.
- 8:11Speaker 7: All we can evaluate is what we see and he
- 8:12Speaker 7: hasn't been playing as well lately, but I think that
- 8:15Speaker 7: lead he built up in the beginning of the season
- 8:17Speaker 7: is still enough for him to be the.
- 8:18Speaker 6: Rookie of the Year.
- 8:19Speaker 1: You know a lot more than me. You're very much
- 8:20Speaker 1: an insider. However, I've had the theory all year that
- 8:24Speaker 1: the commander sometimes will just look in the mirror and
- 8:26Speaker 1: they reminded that the commanders, so eventually they would suck again. Thoughts.
- 8:31Speaker 6: I hate to think that's true.
- 8:33Speaker 7: Maybe it's just the other teams are looking at the
- 8:36Speaker 7: plays that they run and say, oh, this is Cliff
- 8:38Speaker 7: Kingsbury's offense. It's the exact same as as Week two,
- 8:41Speaker 7: as Week three. Even you saw in that Cowboys game
- 8:44Speaker 7: they weren't adjusting to this blitz that Michael Parsons was
- 8:47Speaker 7: running over and over in this game.
- 8:48Speaker 6: And that's coaching.
- 8:49Speaker 7: So I think that might be more of the problem
- 8:51Speaker 7: of what they see in the mirror as Cliff Kingsbury, and.
- 8:53Speaker 1: We've seen over I don't know, the last ten years,
- 8:56Speaker 1: regardless of where Cliff is, it always seems like the
- 8:59Speaker 1: second half for the season, Cliff falls off a cliff, like,
- 9:03Speaker 1: what is even happening there? What are they finding figuring
- 9:06Speaker 1: out scheming about Cliff that he can't figure out.
- 9:10Speaker 6: I think it's about adjustments.
- 9:12Speaker 7: Compared to other NFL offenses, they're certainly static, like they
- 9:15Speaker 7: don't get Terry mcclurein open They do a few things,
- 9:19Speaker 7: and they do them really well, and they tend to
- 9:21Speaker 7: be really well coached that coming into the season, But
- 9:24Speaker 7: once other teams figure out what they're doing, they don't
- 9:27Speaker 7: seem to have a plan B.
- 9:28Speaker 6: And I think that's what's happened.
- 9:29Speaker 7: If you watch that game against Dallas, who was not
- 9:31Speaker 7: playing great defense going into that game, there were not
- 9:34Speaker 7: many open receivers.
- 9:34Speaker 6: And that's what I've seen with Jaden Daniels.
- 9:36Speaker 7: He's a guy who needs to see it to throw
- 9:38Speaker 7: it sometimes, and he had open receivers early in the
- 9:42Speaker 7: season and he just not has not seen him lately.
- 9:44Speaker 1: We've talked about Jadon Daniels a bunch. I want to
- 9:46Speaker 1: bring up one more thing ausse early in the year,
- 9:47Speaker 1: it was, well, they're running very much a college offense
- 9:50Speaker 1: for Jadon Daniels to they're integrating that integrate in the
- 9:54Speaker 1: NFL style into his game a bit. Is it possible
- 9:58Speaker 1: that they have decided to go more NFL complex and
- 10:01Speaker 1: he's struggling with that.
- 10:02Speaker 7: No, I don't think so. If anything, it's more that
- 10:05Speaker 7: they need to do that. I think what they did
- 10:08Speaker 7: early in the season was rely a lot on the
- 10:10Speaker 7: screen game and the short passes and these manufactured throws,
- 10:14Speaker 7: and I don't even know if that's college or how
- 10:16Speaker 7: the NFL is now. Miami runs a lot of plays
- 10:19Speaker 7: like that too, but you need to be able to
- 10:21Speaker 7: hit the intermedia and the deeper throws more often. There's
- 10:24Speaker 7: not a lot of real drop back passing game and
- 10:26Speaker 7: that hasn't been developed. I want to see more of that,
- 10:29Speaker 7: if anything, because I think Jane Daniels can handle it.
- 10:31Speaker 7: He's an older starter, like Bo Nicks for a rookie,
- 10:34Speaker 7: but right now he's not seen a lot of open receivers.
- 10:36Speaker 1: When you talk about older starters, that's kind of funny.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I was reading the Anthony Richardson thing, where Anthony Richardson
- 10:40Speaker 1: is like twelve, and everybody else, even some of the
- 10:42Speaker 1: college guys are like older than Anthony Richardson is now.
- 10:46Speaker 1: And do you know, he's played a little better with
- 10:47Speaker 1: the Colts after he got benched. What are your feelings
- 10:50Speaker 1: on Anthony Richards' long term success.
- 10:52Speaker 6: I think he's gonna be okay.
- 10:53Speaker 7: He's gonna be boom or bust in a best case scenario.
- 10:57Speaker 7: He's a Cam Newton type. Can he get there consit
- 11:00Speaker 7: instantly enough? As a passer, he just loves to throw
- 11:03Speaker 7: the ball downfield. I think he will. I think he's
- 11:05Speaker 7: going to be a fun long term quarterback. I would
- 11:07Speaker 7: take Drake May over him, though, I would take Jay
- 11:08Speaker 7: and Daniels over him. I just feel like they have
- 11:10Speaker 7: a stronger base to work fro him.
- 11:12Speaker 1: You didn't say Caleb Williams I would throw.
- 11:15Speaker 7: I would definitely take KYLEB. Williams over him, too, who
- 11:17Speaker 7: has looked incredible the last two weeks. I feel like
- 11:19Speaker 7: that's sort of gotten lost in the shuffle. I thought
- 11:21Speaker 7: it was his best game as a pro last two
- 11:22Speaker 7: weeks ago, and then it was even better on Sunday.
- 11:24Speaker 6: It's almost perfect for Bears fans.
- 11:26Speaker 7: I think, if you're a Bears fan, you want Caleb
- 11:29Speaker 7: Williams to look like this so you feel better about
- 11:31Speaker 7: your pick. But you also want to get Matt Eberflus fired.
- 11:34Speaker 7: So I feel like these two games have been perfect.
- 11:35Speaker 6: If you're a Bears.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Fan, did you feel too that at times when Kayleb
- 11:38Speaker 1: Williams was really playing well the last couple of weeks,
- 11:42Speaker 1: he was getting rid of the ball quickly. In the
- 11:44Speaker 1: times he would get in trouble, it seemed to me
- 11:45Speaker 1: like when he was trying to create again these Caleb
- 11:49Speaker 1: Williams type plays and that would result in a big
- 11:52Speaker 1: sack he shouldn't take. Is that still a bit of
- 11:54Speaker 1: the struggle in what he's doing day to day.
- 11:57Speaker 7: Yeah, you saw it in the overtime sack that he took,
- 12:00Speaker 7: which was a bit of a disaster. Then again, he
- 12:02Speaker 7: had that throw to Swift where he evades the rushers
- 12:05Speaker 7: and makes just a ridiculous Patrick Mahomes type of throw
- 12:08Speaker 7: for a forty yard played down in the side.
- 12:10Speaker 6: But I think you're right.
- 12:11Speaker 7: Overall in that game, the best throws that he had
- 12:14Speaker 7: were in rhythm, getting the ball out quickly. I thought
- 12:17Speaker 7: it was the throw he made with twenty seconds left
- 12:19Speaker 7: after they recovered the on site kick to get them
- 12:21Speaker 7: into field goal range. From the original view, it looked
- 12:24Speaker 7: like a good throw, but when you see the all
- 12:26Speaker 7: twenty two how he had to layer it over the
- 12:28Speaker 7: top of the linebackers but in front of the safeties,
- 12:30Speaker 7: but with some real pop on his throw, like that
- 12:33Speaker 7: is a number one overall pick type of throw.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Let's talk about New York. I don't know who would
- 12:37Speaker 1: you rather be, the Jets of the Giants.
- 12:41Speaker 7: I'd rather be the Giants just because it's tough. I
- 12:46Speaker 7: lived in New York for ten years. They were bad
- 12:48Speaker 7: for most of that, although you had the Eli pop
- 12:50Speaker 7: up and they've been as bad as the Jets. But
- 12:53Speaker 7: I do feel like it's a more stable building. Ultimately,
- 12:56Speaker 7: you read some of the reports that have come out
- 12:58Speaker 7: about the Jets, and that just seems like it's doomed
- 13:00Speaker 7: to keep failing over and over and over again.
- 13:04Speaker 1: What do they do at quarterback? Both and so I
- 13:06Speaker 1: can ask individually. So let's go with the Jets first.
- 13:09Speaker 1: What are they gonna do?
- 13:12Speaker 7: I think they cut Aaron Rodgers if they can't find
- 13:16Speaker 7: a trade partner for him. It's clear that ownership is
- 13:19Speaker 7: not on board with Rogers and the coaching staff is
- 13:21Speaker 7: going to be totally different.
- 13:23Speaker 6: So he could probably get a job next year.
- 13:25Speaker 7: But you're gonna draft someone and you're gonna find some
- 13:28Speaker 7: second tier quarterback to kind of hold it down.
- 13:32Speaker 6: In the meantime. The Giants are all in on this. Draft.
- 13:35Speaker 6: I mean, they don't have anyone on their roster.
- 13:36Speaker 7: I think that's going to be a quarterback for them
- 13:38Speaker 7: a year from now unless Tommy DeVito is number two
- 13:41Speaker 7: or number three, and they're checking that out right now.
- 13:43Speaker 6: And it did not look good on Sunday.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Is it time to give up on the forty nine
- 13:46Speaker 1: ers for this season?
- 13:48Speaker 6: I think so.
- 13:50Speaker 7: I think that was one of the biggest takeaways from Sunday.
- 13:52Speaker 7: First of all, we got to see what's up with
- 13:54Speaker 7: brock Perty shoulder. When you get a second MRI, it's
- 13:56Speaker 7: late in the week. They thought he might play early
- 13:58Speaker 7: in the week, then he didn't. That says to me
- 14:01Speaker 7: that it could be a longer term issue. They have
- 14:03Speaker 7: the Bills this week. If they lose that, they're five
- 14:05Speaker 7: and seven. I know it's not a good division, but
- 14:07Speaker 7: they're just missing a lot, not just in terms of injuries,
- 14:10Speaker 7: but I think they were going to struggle to make
- 14:11Speaker 7: the playoffs, be right about on the borderline, even if
- 14:14Speaker 7: they were healthy. And if Perdy misses one or two games,
- 14:17Speaker 7: you're not going to win any games without brock Perty
- 14:19Speaker 7: with the schedule.
- 14:20Speaker 3: That they have.
- 14:20Speaker 1: When Terrell Owens was talking about Deebo and he was like,
- 14:23Speaker 1: Deebo's too distracted by off the field issues. When Terrell
- 14:25Speaker 1: Owens is saying that, is that is that significant or
- 14:28Speaker 1: is just to just talking?
- 14:30Speaker 6: He probably knows something.
- 14:31Speaker 7: I know, I don't know what he's talking about when
- 14:33Speaker 7: he speaks about that. I'm not glad that Teo said that,
- 14:37Speaker 7: but I have noticed Deebo Samuel is not a difference
- 14:40Speaker 7: maker that he used to be. He's just not as
- 14:43Speaker 7: explosive as a runner. You can just look at his
- 14:45Speaker 7: rushing stats. It's a great indicator because they used to
- 14:47Speaker 7: use him in the running game and he would be
- 14:50Speaker 7: a nice change of pace. Now he's one of the
- 14:52Speaker 7: least effective runners in the league, and I think that
- 14:54Speaker 7: speaks to him not making a ton of plays on
- 14:57Speaker 7: his own. Still a good player, but not a premier player.
- 15:00Speaker 7: I think he's going to get traded in the offseason.
- 15:02Speaker 7: He will absolutely have a market. What that is, whether
- 15:04Speaker 7: that's a second round pick something like that, we'll see.
- 15:07Speaker 7: But I do not expect him to be on the
- 15:08Speaker 7: forty nine ers next year.
- 15:10Speaker 1: The Lions the clear cut team number one in the
- 15:12Speaker 1: NFL in your mind.
- 15:13Speaker 7: I would say the Eagles and the Bills, and certainly
- 15:16Speaker 7: the Chiefs, you got to throw in there in the mix.
- 15:18Speaker 7: But when I watch Detroit every week, it's crazy. They
- 15:20Speaker 7: can just beat you so many different ways. On Sunday,
- 15:23Speaker 7: they beat you by running on third and log I
- 15:25Speaker 7: mean they hit three different third and long runs for
- 15:29Speaker 7: first downs on drives that quickly turned into touchdowns. Just
- 15:32Speaker 7: no other team has that pitch, you know what I mean.
- 15:36Speaker 1: We stopped talking about Aiden Hutchesson because they keep winning,
- 15:38Speaker 1: right so, you know, for a while, it was what
- 15:40Speaker 1: are they going to do? Are they going to go
- 15:41Speaker 1: after Max Crosby? All these dream scenarios right that people
- 15:44Speaker 1: just we just like to talk about it because it's fun.
- 15:47Speaker 1: But I feel like their offense is so effective that
- 15:52Speaker 1: possibly they can take the hit on not having that
- 15:55Speaker 1: on defense and still feel like they can win games.
- 15:57Speaker 7: Yeah, I think they can win the Super Bowl without
- 15:59Speaker 7: Aiden Hutchinson. They are hopeful maybe he'd come back for
- 16:02Speaker 7: the super Bowl if they got that far. I do
- 16:04Speaker 7: think when they play the best of the best teams
- 16:06Speaker 7: in the in the offensive lines that they have, I'm
- 16:09Speaker 7: thinking about Philadelphia, I'm thinking about Buffalo, and certainly if
- 16:13Speaker 7: the Chiefs make the Super Bowl, that's going to be
- 16:16Speaker 7: difficult because I don't think their pass rush has been
- 16:18Speaker 7: great this year. But the difference, Bobby is that I
- 16:21Speaker 7: think their defense has improved dramatically from last year to
- 16:24Speaker 7: this year despite losing Hutchinson. Just the rest of the
- 16:28Speaker 7: group is so much better, especially in the secondary. They're
- 16:31Speaker 7: one of the best defensive backfields in the league and
- 16:33Speaker 7: they were one of the worst a year ago. So
- 16:35Speaker 7: can they still be a top ten to twelve defense?
- 16:37Speaker 7: I would say yes, And if you have the best
- 16:39Speaker 7: offense in the league, you can win the Super Bowl
- 16:41Speaker 7: that way. But it would really help to have Hutchinson back,
- 16:43Speaker 7: especially for that Philadelphia matchup. You're not going to get
- 16:46Speaker 7: any pressure on Jalen Hurts without him.
- 16:48Speaker 1: How would you describe the regression of the Texans really disappointing?
- 16:53Speaker 7: I actually think their offense has been consistent this year,
- 16:56Speaker 7: like consistently bad.
- 16:57Speaker 6: I've just been waiting and waiting.
- 16:58Speaker 7: My son became a Texans and for some reason, I
- 17:01Speaker 7: live in Los Angeles, but he just likes CJ. Stroud
- 17:03Speaker 7: so much. He jumped on board and he's dying each
- 17:06Speaker 7: and every week. And I've said from the beginning, I
- 17:08Speaker 7: just said eventually they might turn around, But they just
- 17:11Speaker 7: don't look like a good offense. You look at their
- 17:13Speaker 7: efficiency metrics, they're twenty fifth, twenty six, They're down there
- 17:16Speaker 7: with some of the worst teams in the league. They
- 17:17Speaker 7: have a good defense overall, but at a certain point,
- 17:20Speaker 7: you kind of are the team that you show yourself
- 17:22Speaker 7: to be. It's offensive line, it's really bad run blocking.
- 17:25Speaker 7: You have talented players in Nico Collins and Mixing, but CJ. Stroud,
- 17:30Speaker 7: I'm as shocked about him regressing and losing confidence and
- 17:35Speaker 7: being in his own head as I am about literally
- 17:37Speaker 7: anything that's happened in the NFL. I'm stunned because I
- 17:40Speaker 7: would have said, about six weeks ago, if you can
- 17:43Speaker 7: give me a.
- 17:43Speaker 6: Quarterback to start my team with. CJ.
- 17:45Speaker 7: Stroud is very close to the top of the list,
- 17:48Speaker 7: and right now he's just going through some growing pains.
- 17:51Speaker 1: If we're flipping that over to quarterbacks who are gaining confidence,
- 17:53Speaker 1: would you say that you have liked what you've seen
- 17:55Speaker 1: from Bryce Young over the past couple of weeks since
- 17:57Speaker 1: he's back.
- 17:58Speaker 6: Yeah. Absolutely.
- 18:01Speaker 7: Had a conversation NFL Daily one of our reporters with
- 18:04Speaker 7: Vance Joseph after that Broncos Panthers game, and I watched
- 18:09Speaker 7: that one, I thought, wow, Bryce Sung is being more aggressive.
- 18:11Speaker 7: That was his first game after Dalton got hurt in
- 18:13Speaker 7: the car accident, and he just looked like a different player.
- 18:17Speaker 6: Maybe he had nothing to lose.
- 18:18Speaker 7: Maybe he just was more confident in what he was
- 18:20Speaker 7: seeing and the numbers weren't quite there, and then each
- 18:22Speaker 7: week he stacked up to the point where now if
- 18:25Speaker 7: he continues playing like this, and he played really well
- 18:27Speaker 7: on sundaygainst Chiefs, there's no question they will go into
- 18:29Speaker 7: next year with him as their quarterback, which I just
- 18:32Speaker 7: didn't expect. And he's starting to look like a valuable
- 18:35Speaker 7: NFL quarterback now. Whether the ceiling for him is Alex
- 18:39Speaker 7: Smith or it's something higher, we need to find out.
- 18:41Speaker 7: But it's a really good development story for them considering
- 18:44Speaker 7: where he was at early this season.
- 18:46Speaker 1: If you were a starting quarterback, would you rather play
- 18:48Speaker 1: for the Panthers or the Jets.
- 18:51Speaker 6: The Panthers, yeah, because they.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Right.
- 18:55Speaker 6: I mean, they have a young, energetic coach, they have a.
- 18:58Speaker 7: Pretty good offensive line in a decent running game, and
- 19:01Speaker 7: the Jets like no matter what happens. I have so
- 19:04Speaker 7: many friends that are Jets fans, and I used to
- 19:06Speaker 7: live in New York, and no matter what happens, like the.
- 19:08Speaker 6: Rot just start taking over. It's been fourteen years.
- 19:11Speaker 7: Bobby, the whole and a point of the NFL, my employer,
- 19:14Speaker 7: is to even out the playing field so everyone gets
- 19:18Speaker 7: to go to the playoffs.
- 19:18Speaker 6: It's been fourteen years.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel that we have a Jets guy here
- 19:22Speaker 1: on our show too, Bill Belichick. Does he coach next year?
- 19:25Speaker 3: If so?
- 19:25Speaker 1: Where?
- 19:27Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't have a great prediction. Jacksonville has been
- 19:31Speaker 7: talked about. That makes sense to me about as much
- 19:34Speaker 7: as anyone. I actually think Tampa Bay would be a
- 19:38Speaker 7: really logical place if Todd Bowles didn't get them to
- 19:42Speaker 7: the playoffs. The problem is, I think that's an underrated
- 19:44Speaker 7: team that has a really good offense, good offensive coordinator,
- 19:48Speaker 7: and has a chance to go on a run here
- 19:50Speaker 7: with a very easy schedule. So I actually think they're
- 19:52Speaker 7: gonna end up with a winning record and probably get
- 19:54Speaker 7: to the playoffs. That one would make a lot of
- 19:56Speaker 7: sense based on the history and Jason light being the GM.
- 19:59Speaker 6: Who used to work with with Belichick back in the day.
- 20:01Speaker 1: What about the Dolphins they're playing now too, Can they
- 20:04Speaker 1: make a late season push?
- 20:06Speaker 6: I think they can. They are.
- 20:08Speaker 7: He is playing at a really high level right now
- 20:11Speaker 7: and doing it in the way that people used to
- 20:13Speaker 7: accuse him of doing just a lot of short stuff.
- 20:15Speaker 7: It's really nothing down the field, but extremely effective, accurate.
- 20:19Speaker 7: McDaniel said, he went to a next level this Thursday night.
- 20:22Speaker 7: You know, Thanksgiving game is huge for them. They play
- 20:25Speaker 7: the Packers in Green Bay. It's all the demons that
- 20:28Speaker 7: they've had. They don't close the season, well, it's the
- 20:30Speaker 7: cold weather. If they can win that game, and they've
- 20:32Speaker 7: won three straight, looking very impressive doing so, the rest
- 20:35Speaker 7: of their schedule is easy. I think they'll be favored
- 20:38Speaker 7: in every game the rest of the season. Their only
- 20:40Speaker 7: game that's challenging is the Texans, and that Texans teams
- 20:43Speaker 7: taking on a lot of water, and other than that,
- 20:45Speaker 7: it's a lot of Jets and Patriots and yeah, this
- 20:47Speaker 7: team could win a lot of games your Broncos if
- 20:49Speaker 7: you're into Bow next. I don't know if they'll lose
- 20:51Speaker 7: enough though, that's the problem, Like you might need eleven
- 20:53Speaker 7: wins to get into the AFC playoffs, which is is
- 20:56Speaker 7: a big ass for that Miami team.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Do you think with two al and the Dolphins losing
- 21:00Speaker 1: so much and again two has been scrutinized since before
- 21:04Speaker 1: Mike McDaniels even got there. Then he was a system quarterback.
- 21:07Speaker 1: But then TWOA was out and they couldn't win. It
- 21:09Speaker 1: didn't matter if snoop, it didn't matter who was in.
- 21:11Speaker 1: But now the two is back again. If anybody could
- 21:14Speaker 1: run the system, well, anybody would have run the system
- 21:17Speaker 1: and they were not able to. Now that two is back.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Do you think that a bit some of the naysayers
- 21:22Speaker 1: have to realize they possibly could have been wrong.
- 21:26Speaker 7: Yes, I think Tua has grown each every year. This
- 21:29Speaker 7: is what young quarterbacks do. He is a much different
- 21:32Speaker 7: player than he was two years ago. Certainly three years ago.
- 21:34Speaker 7: He's the best version and he's been in this offense now.
- 21:37Speaker 7: I think it was terrible coaching, terrible front office work.
- 21:40Speaker 7: You can't collapse to the worst offense in the league
- 21:43Speaker 7: when you go to your backup, especially when your backup
- 21:46Speaker 7: had been in the building for three years. So that's
- 21:48Speaker 7: on Mike McDaniel and Chris career if they don't make
- 21:50Speaker 7: the playoffs. But it does show how valuable too it is.
- 21:53Speaker 7: Maybe it wouldn't be that valuable for every team, but
- 21:56Speaker 7: for that team, it's the difference between an eleven win team,
- 21:59Speaker 7: I think this year twelve win team and one of
- 22:01Speaker 7: the worst offenses in the NFL.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Three teams we're gonna talk about we're gonna do Chiefs,
- 22:06Speaker 1: We're gonna do Vikings, And I got a guy here
- 22:08Speaker 1: that once ask Cowboys, and we'll do Chiefs. First ten
- 22:11Speaker 1: and one? Do you DeAndre Hopkins? You know we're in Nashville,
- 22:15Speaker 1: and you know DeAndre Hopkins here not much of a
- 22:19Speaker 1: threat because no one could get him the ball. What
- 22:22Speaker 1: is his ceiling? I mean, could he be the guy
- 22:24Speaker 1: that actually makes that offense happen? Because that offense really
- 22:28Speaker 1: wasn't happening, Not that it is now so much either,
- 22:31Speaker 1: and they're really relying on their defense. But could he
- 22:33Speaker 1: be a key factor into them actually winning three in
- 22:36Speaker 1: a row?
- 22:38Speaker 7: Yes, because they just needed competent players that are quality starters.
- 22:44Speaker 7: Now he doesn't help their biggest issue, which is that
- 22:46Speaker 7: they are slow, and they were one of the slowest
- 22:49Speaker 7: teams in the NFL. When it's him and Juju Smith,
- 22:53Speaker 7: Schuster and Justin Watson on the field, and the and
- 22:56Speaker 7: the tight ends like Noah Gray, their second tight end
- 22:58Speaker 7: is their most explosive, explosive players. To me, that is
- 23:00Speaker 7: an issue, but you know he's gonna do it. He's
- 23:04Speaker 7: gonna make some red zone plays, He's gonna have some
- 23:06Speaker 7: key third down conversions. And the numbers may not be crazy.
- 23:08Speaker 7: They have n't been crazy. He's having a lot of
- 23:10Speaker 7: games like five for sixty, but I can just see
- 23:13Speaker 7: him in big moments giving Patrick Mahomes a guy that
- 23:16Speaker 7: he trusts in the red zone. I don't know if
- 23:19Speaker 7: it's a difference between him being a great offense and
- 23:21Speaker 7: a bad one. But I don't know if they need
- 23:22Speaker 7: to be great if their defense is playing well.
- 23:24Speaker 1: What about Worthy in Kansas City. I mean, he's explosive,
- 23:26Speaker 1: but it's the only running one way. I mean, it's
- 23:28Speaker 1: just go.
- 23:31Speaker 7: It seems to be a mental thing. I at least
- 23:34Speaker 7: was wrong about how he's going to be as a rookie.
- 23:36Speaker 7: I thought he did more in college than people gave
- 23:38Speaker 7: him credit for. But mentally, you can tell they don't
- 23:42Speaker 7: trust him. And he makes a big mental error almost
- 23:45Speaker 7: every week. So he's only playing twenty five snaps and
- 23:48Speaker 7: they try to manufacture things, but it's not really working
- 23:51Speaker 7: for him. It might be till year two that he
- 23:53Speaker 7: makes a bigger impact.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Two Vikings questions, what's the ceiling for the Viking? Nine
- 23:58Speaker 1: to two? Now? How good can be?
- 24:01Speaker 7: I know Vikings fans are so annoyed with everyone just oh,
- 24:04Speaker 7: that's nice, you're nine and two. I mean, it is
- 24:06Speaker 7: pretty impressive that they beat all the teams that they
- 24:09Speaker 7: have to, and they have a coaching staff that in
- 24:11Speaker 7: any one game season in which the playoffs are, they
- 24:15Speaker 7: can beat you with their game plans on both sides
- 24:17Speaker 7: of the ball. It's a really good offense and Sam
- 24:19Speaker 7: Donald has played well the last couple of weeks.
- 24:21Speaker 6: So they're dangerous. But are they dangerous enough to win
- 24:24Speaker 6: three road games?
- 24:25Speaker 1: No?
- 24:25Speaker 7: Do I think they're gonna win the division over the lines? No,
- 24:28Speaker 7: so they it's they're at a tough spot. If they
- 24:30Speaker 7: were in any other division other than the AFC West
- 24:34Speaker 7: with the Chiefs, they'd be winning it. But ultimately they're
- 24:36Speaker 7: gonna be the five or the six seed and that's
- 24:38Speaker 7: going to be a tough road.
- 24:39Speaker 1: So then next season J. J. McCarthy comes back, although
- 24:43Speaker 1: he wasn't actually ever there excepting like body, because he
- 24:46Speaker 1: didn't play. Sam Donald has really shined. Like what happens
- 24:51Speaker 1: in the quarterback room there, let's.
- 24:53Speaker 7: Say it just continues as is. I think Sam Donald
- 24:56Speaker 7: gets a nice contract. It'd be hilarious, by the way,
- 24:59Speaker 7: if it was the Jet or the Giants for that matter.
- 25:01Speaker 7: I think he gets a nice contract. A Geno Smith
- 25:05Speaker 7: or Baker Mayfield type of bridge quarterback. You're not one
- 25:10Speaker 7: of the top quarterbacks in the league, but you're somewhere
- 25:12Speaker 7: in between. And we might draft a kid in the
- 25:14Speaker 7: second round elsewhere because Minnesota's not going to pay that money.
- 25:17Speaker 6: They're going to be all in on JJ McCarthy. From
- 25:19Speaker 6: everything I hear, all.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Right, we're gonna go to our Cowboys guy, and I'm
- 25:22Speaker 1: sure he's gonna have a couple. Just brace yourself. He
- 25:24Speaker 1: is a diehard Cowboys fan. He is a delusional eddie.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Whenever you ready, what's up?
- 25:29Speaker 3: Greg? You know? Yeah, like you said, I do love
- 25:32Speaker 3: my Cowboys, Dallas Cowboys for life. Right, But is it
- 25:35Speaker 3: time to hand off the America's team titled to someone else? Now?
- 25:41Speaker 7: Yes, I mean it's been beyond time. What a marketing
- 25:44Speaker 7: employee that was. I don't I think NFL films actually
- 25:47Speaker 7: called them that way back.
- 25:48Speaker 6: In the day.
- 25:49Speaker 3: They do.
- 25:49Speaker 7: They do get the numbers though, that's the problem. Like
- 25:52Speaker 7: people don't want to hear about it. It's the reason
- 25:54Speaker 7: why First Take talks about him so much, or they're
- 25:57Speaker 7: on network so much.
- 25:59Speaker 6: And it's true, people really do watch them.
- 26:01Speaker 7: I did see something that I didn't listen to it yet,
- 26:03Speaker 7: but I was looking at my podcast feed this morning.
- 26:05Speaker 7: I saw Bill Simmons. It was like, is Dallas back?
- 26:09Speaker 7: It's like, no, they're definitely not back. Now they might
- 26:11Speaker 7: beat the Giants. I thought that's what you were going
- 26:13Speaker 7: to ask me, Are they back? Defense is playing a
- 26:15Speaker 7: little better though. I'll give them credit to get have
- 26:17Speaker 7: a nice win on.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Side, But I will ask you though about the coaching situation,
- 26:20Speaker 3: like McCarthy's done right and then what do we what
- 26:23Speaker 3: do we do now?
- 26:24Speaker 7: Yeah, it's not going to be Belichick. There's no way
- 26:27Speaker 7: that Jerry Jones, I think would want to give up
- 26:29Speaker 7: that much power.
- 26:29Speaker 6: And I don't think Belichick would want to be anywhere
- 26:31Speaker 6: where he didn't have the power.
- 26:34Speaker 7: So if they're smart, they'll pay top dollar for the
- 26:39Speaker 7: best candidate out there, who I think is Ben Johnson
- 26:41Speaker 7: with the Detroit Lions. I mean it like, show us
- 26:45Speaker 7: Jerry you got you got Jerry World. You're collecting all
- 26:47Speaker 7: that money for those tours that are coming around, like
- 26:50Speaker 7: spend it because Ben Johnson, I think is going to
- 26:52Speaker 7: make more money for a first time head coach than
- 26:56Speaker 7: anyone we've ever seen because the bidding war for him.
- 26:59Speaker 7: I think since an if they don't make the playoffs,
- 27:01Speaker 7: they're not going to get into a bidding war.
- 27:02Speaker 6: But that would be an interesting spot.
- 27:03Speaker 7: If I'm Ben Johnson, I want a really good quarterback,
- 27:06Speaker 7: and I think he could be intrigued about coaching Dak Prescott.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Who are the Cowboys draft. Let's say they have a
- 27:10Speaker 1: top seven or eight pick. Who are they drafting?
- 27:14Speaker 6: Oh Man?
- 27:14Speaker 1: Is it best available for them?
- 27:18Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 27:18Speaker 7: There's actually not a lot of positions that they couldn't
- 27:20Speaker 7: use help. And if they hadn't given back that contract,
- 27:23Speaker 7: you'd even think quarterback would be possible. But this isn't
- 27:26Speaker 7: the draft for it. There's some good tackles in this draft.
- 27:29Speaker 7: There's certainly good defensive players. I don't know if there's
- 27:31Speaker 7: a wide receiver that you would take that high. So
- 27:35Speaker 7: it's almost best available. I mean, what position on that
- 27:38Speaker 7: roster couldn't use some help. It's not a deep roster.
- 27:43Speaker 7: It's a very top heavy roster with seven or eight
- 27:45Speaker 7: really good players, but offensive line especially this year, has
- 27:48Speaker 7: been quite disappointing.
- 27:49Speaker 1: You guys, check out Greg's podcast. It's great. I listened
- 27:51Speaker 1: NFL Daily Podcast wherever you listen and on YouTube check
- 27:55Speaker 1: it out on YouTube. You did a whole thing where
- 27:59Speaker 1: the Seahawks, and like the Seahawks have kind of saved
- 28:02Speaker 1: their season, but what's the ceiling on the Seahawks.
- 28:07Speaker 7: I think winning a playoff game, winning this division at
- 28:10Speaker 7: this point, I would be surprised if the division winner
- 28:13Speaker 7: is not the Seahawks or the Cardinals.
- 28:15Speaker 6: And I think that Commander's loss on.
- 28:17Speaker 7: Sunday pointed out that that last wild card spot that
- 28:20Speaker 7: we kind of were just penciling in for Washington, that
- 28:24Speaker 7: that division gets two teams in. It could be the
- 28:27Speaker 7: Bucks or the Falcons, or it could be second place
- 28:29Speaker 7: in the NFC West. So this defense has really turned around.
- 28:32Speaker 7: I think they have enough talent. Mike McDonald has them
- 28:35Speaker 7: playing well and he can scheme it up.
- 28:37Speaker 6: I mean he sent some crazy blitzes out there.
- 28:39Speaker 7: You have a quarterback that I really trust in Geno Smith,
- 28:42Speaker 7: in the talent around him. It's not a good offensive line,
- 28:44Speaker 7: so they're not a complete team, but I think they
- 28:46Speaker 7: can get the three seed, or maybe if the Cardinals
- 28:49Speaker 7: win that division, get the seventh seed and be a
- 28:51Speaker 7: tough out. To me, the NFC is very much Philadelphia,
- 28:55Speaker 7: Detroit and everyone else. The other teams are fun, but
- 28:57Speaker 7: I don't really see them going to the super Bowl.
- 29:00Speaker 6: Think it's going to be Detroit Philly.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Check out. We'll put all Greg's information, including you can
- 29:04Speaker 1: go watch this podcast down on our notes. We mentioned
- 29:06Speaker 1: it before. You came on as well, and follow him
- 29:08Speaker 1: on Twitter at Greg Rosental. Greg, you're the best. We
- 29:10Speaker 1: really appreciate the time. Hope you have a good rest
- 29:12Speaker 1: of the week.
- 29:12Speaker 6: Appreciate it, Bobby anytime.
- 29:14Speaker 1: All right, let's build to parlay here. Last week we
- 29:17Speaker 1: went over four. I thought it'd be fun if we
- 29:18Speaker 1: could pick all losers instead of all winners, but it'd
- 29:21Speaker 1: be the same thing. We just wouldn't do it. Yeah,
- 29:25Speaker 1: so let's just pick three, and I don't care if
- 29:28Speaker 1: it gets up on the app because it's just humiliating
- 29:30Speaker 1: when we lose over again. So, Edie, do you already
- 29:34Speaker 1: have a game or do you mean to pick all three?
- 29:36Speaker 3: No? I mean I have the Notre Dame. I do
- 29:38Speaker 3: believe Notre Dame will win that game.
- 29:40Speaker 1: It's just like, right now, the spread is at only
- 29:44Speaker 1: six and a half.
- 29:44Speaker 3: Yeah, six and a half, and I think that's good.
- 29:46Speaker 3: But I think that's gonna move at some point, So
- 29:47Speaker 3: get on it asap.
- 29:49Speaker 1: But they can't a sap because this is a day later.
- 29:51Speaker 3: You can as soon as you hear this, get on it.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Notre Dame six.
- 29:54Speaker 1: I'm just gonna hit one without you, guys, because I'm ready.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Tennessee minus eleven at vander Built. We like Vanderbilt, but
- 30:01Speaker 1: Tennessee's playing not to get in the SEC Championship game.
- 30:04Speaker 1: They're just playing to get in the College Football Plaoff,
- 30:05Speaker 1: which is kind of the best place to be. They
- 30:07Speaker 1: win this game the rent. So it's not even moneyline.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Bet Tennessee minus eleven. Boom book it. I'm also going
- 30:13Speaker 1: South Carolina money line. Now, South Carolina's getting plus two
- 30:17Speaker 1: and a half. A screw at South Carolina plus two
- 30:18Speaker 1: and a half. We'll take the points, make it even
- 30:21Speaker 1: Why make it even harder myself? I would to pick
- 30:23Speaker 1: South Carolina win up. Why make it even harder on myself?
- 30:25Speaker 1: So we're going South Carolina plus two and a half.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Take that one and go. I really want to I
- 30:32Speaker 1: really want the Texas Texas A and M game. Like
- 30:34Speaker 1: I'm but I can't let my bias. I feel my
- 30:38Speaker 1: bias cloud again. Well, I want A and M to win.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm going.
- 30:46Speaker 1: A and M plus five and a half.
- 30:47Speaker 6: Let's go.
- 30:48Speaker 1: I'm letting the bias cloud. They're playing in at Kyle Field.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Huge rivalry. They happen in a lot of a lot
- 30:55Speaker 3: of your team.
- 30:56Speaker 1: We're not like one hundred. Since he was living outside
- 30:58Speaker 1: of Sam of Green Bay.
- 30:59Speaker 3: I think they said Justin Tucker was kicking when the
- 31:01Speaker 3: last time they played.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember that. I think he made the kick
- 31:04Speaker 1: to win the game.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Did Yeah?
- 31:05Speaker 1: I think we run Austin.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Gosh, that's crazy. Oh that's right, because I saw him
- 31:09Speaker 3: in the parade.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I'm taking Texas A and M plus five and a half.
- 31:13Speaker 1: There you go. I can't rely on you guys anymore.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Also can't rely on me because I've missed every week too. Right.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Hey, it's all on you now.

- 31:54Speaker 1: Okay, so here's the thing again. We did this before Thanksgiving,
- 31:58Speaker 1: so if any of our quarterbacks we are not starting anymore,
- 32:02Speaker 1: which I think mostly we're there forgive us. But we
- 32:04Speaker 1: did the worst quarterback draft, meaning if we had to
- 32:08Speaker 1: draft the best quarterbacks, we'd go Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson.
- 32:12Speaker 1: But instead we drafted the worst and try to make
- 32:14Speaker 1: the worst quarterback team. So here is this means segment.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I felt bad after we did that segment. Oh
- 32:20Speaker 3: you did yeah, just a little bit. I liked it.
- 32:22Speaker 1: They're millionaires. I don't care. We're gonna do a reverse draft,
- 32:26Speaker 1: meaning you're gonna draft the absolute worst starting quarterback. Oh,
- 32:33Speaker 1: so the first round pick will be the of every
- 32:36Speaker 1: starting quarterback with everybody every team listed who you would
- 32:39Speaker 1: want the least. Okay, we'll do four rounds and then
- 32:45Speaker 1: we'll put a graphic up on Instagram Bobby Bone Sports
- 32:48Speaker 1: and see who people think has the worst team, and
- 32:51Speaker 1: we'll do snake. So somebody can volunteer to go first,
- 32:54Speaker 1: or I can go first, and we're gonna do snake.
- 32:56Speaker 1: It's gonna even itself out.
- 32:58Speaker 6: Let's do it.
- 32:59Speaker 3: He's interesting. I'll go first, go ahead. Uh, for the
- 33:02Speaker 3: first pick of the worst quarterback, were starting quarterback, worst
- 33:06Speaker 3: starting quarterback team, Go ahead. I'm going to go with
- 33:11Speaker 3: Will Levisnes.
- 33:13Speaker 1: It's terrible, good, bad pick.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you?
- 33:20Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah, okay, okay, So I'll be
- 33:23Speaker 1: second here. Oh, it's tough. For the second overall pick
- 33:32Speaker 1: the commissioners out there, I'm gonna go Tommy de Vito.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Probably he probably shouldn't even be starting. He should be
- 33:40Speaker 1: the backup, because I felt like he was the third
- 33:43Speaker 1: string quarterback. But I'm taking Tommy DeVito as the second
- 33:46Speaker 1: overall worst quarterback. Kevin dang.
- 33:50Speaker 5: I was gonna trade up and try to get Tommy from.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Because true Locke, I think is a better quarterback than
- 33:56Speaker 1: to Vito. It's a better story though, And I don't
- 33:58Speaker 1: think they want to win. I think they want the
- 33:59Speaker 1: bad draft pick.
- 34:00Speaker 5: Yeah, go ahead, Okay, now for the sake of this,
- 34:03Speaker 5: So we're gonna go with Trevor Lawrence or Mac Jones.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence is the start, Okay, okay, because unless he's
- 34:08Speaker 1: out the whole year.
- 34:09Speaker 5: Yeah, that's fair. Okay, then, sorry, Eddie, I gotta do
- 34:16Speaker 5: it going with your boy Cooper Rush.
- 34:17Speaker 3: It's a smart pick. That's a smart pick.
- 34:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:19Speaker 1: I don't even think a he hates that one. I
- 34:21Speaker 1: don't not your real quarterback.
- 34:22Speaker 3: He's our backup, so no, no offense.
- 34:25Speaker 1: But would i'd rather have Cooper Rush or Will Levis?
- 34:28Speaker 1: I think under the Cooper Rush probably, but Cooper Rush
- 34:32Speaker 1: is older. I don't know that's a good pick. Okay,
- 34:34Speaker 1: So snake drop, now you go backward, Okay, Kevin, let's
- 34:37Speaker 1: do it four rounds here. Yeah, So who is your
- 34:40Speaker 1: next bad quarterback pick?
- 34:43Speaker 5: Well, we all love him, love his hair, love his style,
- 34:47Speaker 5: love his stash. But I'm sorry, I gotta do it
- 34:49Speaker 5: to Gardner Minshew.
- 34:50Speaker 3: Good pick.
- 34:51Speaker 1: I mean he's usually a backup, that's who I had taken. Yeah,
- 34:53Speaker 1: good season with the Colts, but also probably a product
- 34:56Speaker 1: of his environment, like right or suck. Yeah, this is
- 34:59Speaker 1: an organization they suck, So it's not like you're gonna
- 35:02Speaker 1: have great quarterback play out of a tweener anyway. Or
- 35:05Speaker 1: if he went to a good organization, like if he
- 35:07Speaker 1: was playing with Kansas City, he'd probably be a pretty
- 35:09Speaker 1: good quarterback like he was with the Colts when he
- 35:11Speaker 1: was a pretty good quarterback. Yeah, good pick though, Okay,
- 35:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna go Jamis. I like him big one over
- 35:23Speaker 1: the Steelers. I do. I like him a lot, but
- 35:25Speaker 1: I think of the remaining quarterbacks on the list, there's
- 35:30Speaker 1: there's a reason he's a backup. Yeah, I'm gonna go
- 35:32Speaker 1: Jameis Winston Cleveland Browns for my second round pick.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Yeah, we're getting We're getting to the point here where
- 35:39Speaker 3: you're gonna fend someone. I know this is tough, but
- 35:43Speaker 3: for my second pick, I think I'm gonna go with
- 35:47Speaker 3: Bryce Young. You're not gonna like it bones, but I
- 35:49Speaker 3: think I'm gonna take Bryce Young.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Hate that for you. He's gonna be a star.
- 35:52Speaker 3: No, I know, but right as of now, I have
- 35:55Speaker 3: to putzation. I hear you.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Oh that hurts me. Got a lot of rookie cards.
- 36:01Speaker 6: I no.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Okay, two rounds in Eddie Snake drafts, so you'll go
- 36:05Speaker 1: first this round, so you have the next pick.
- 36:06Speaker 3: Okay.
- 36:07Speaker 5: Dang, it's getting tough.
- 36:08Speaker 3: This is getting really tough.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Because overall we're each taking four quarterbacks, so that's twelve.
- 36:15Speaker 1: I mean, it's basically a third of the league. We
- 36:17Speaker 1: have to pick a third of the league in this.
- 36:20Speaker 3: I think he's going to be okay, he's showing improvement,
- 36:25Speaker 3: but all the hype coming in with Caleb Williams, I
- 36:28Speaker 3: think that I need to pick him because as of.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Now, Oh my god, the number one pick.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Wow, I take Caleb Williams.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Wow.
- 36:35Speaker 6: Look at the laws on that.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Dude.
- 36:37Speaker 6: I'll talk about you.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Wow. Not that hard guy.
- 36:42Speaker 1: I don't hate hate it. I just kind of hate
- 36:45Speaker 1: it because there's a lot of potential there and I
- 36:47Speaker 1: think people hold that against you.
- 36:48Speaker 3: I agree, But dude, it's a rough spot right now
- 36:50Speaker 3: because you're dealing with quarterbacks that are okay, but you
- 36:53Speaker 3: got to pick the worst of the okays.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why my next pick is going to be
- 36:59Speaker 1: rough Wilson. Wow, he's not good. He's fine. It was snowy, dude, fine, snowy,
- 37:09Speaker 1: but just generally he's fine.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Yeah. Right, and he's getting older.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and with what I have to deal with here,
- 37:17Speaker 1: that's good. I think I take Russell Wilson as the
- 37:19Speaker 1: next worst quarterback.
- 37:22Speaker 5: Okay, all right, yeah, third round pick, Kevin Higgins getting
- 37:26Speaker 5: slim here.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I had to pick a Super Bowl champion on him.
- 37:29Speaker 5: He was just gonna say, I know, but I feel
- 37:31Speaker 5: like anyway, go ahead, Okay, I'm gonna go. Anthony Richardson
- 37:35Speaker 5: got bench brought back. There's a reason for it.
- 37:38Speaker 3: Trevor Lawrence stayed alive.
- 37:40Speaker 1: He's still alive. Wow, we have them around.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, we have another round, four round, so it's
- 37:45Speaker 3: even for everybody. Dang, Okay, okay, who.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Anthony Rison may be a little too early for that one,
- 37:49Speaker 1: but but who would okay.
- 37:53Speaker 3: Naked snaked?
- 37:54Speaker 5: All right, now we're going again.
- 37:55Speaker 1: One more round to go. Okay, are you taking pride
- 37:57Speaker 1: that nobody's picked? Drake may heck yeah, being a nobody
- 38:00Speaker 1: even touched the AFC East in general. Well not yet, yeah,
- 38:04Speaker 1: not yet? Oh no, not yet. Oh you're going with
- 38:07Speaker 1: Drake huh hey.
- 38:09Speaker 3: I'm thinking about it. I'm thinking about it.
- 38:11Speaker 8: To okay, talk, Let's go with the guy that's gotten
- 38:16Speaker 8: a lot of whack throughout his career, a lot up
- 38:19Speaker 8: and down, Derek Carr.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's a good pick. Solid pick, solid, terrible pick.
- 38:28Speaker 3: This is so mean.
- 38:29Speaker 1: It is they make millions of dollars and it's like
- 38:31Speaker 1: they're not even real. It's like their cartoon characters. They're
- 38:33Speaker 1: not even real people.
- 38:34Speaker 3: They're not listening, and also like we're not one.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Hundredth of the athlete they are, and we're like they suck. Right, Okay,
- 38:43Speaker 1: my last pick, my fourth round pick for the worst quarterbacks?
- 38:53Speaker 3: Are you between two?
- 38:54Speaker 1: I don't even want to talk about who in between
- 38:56Speaker 1: becuse I don't want to give it to you.
- 38:58Speaker 3: Well, I have my two that that I already have
- 39:00Speaker 3: queued up.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I have two and a half queued up. Are your
- 39:05Speaker 1: two one in the AFC South yeah, and one of
- 39:10Speaker 1: the FC East?
- 39:11Speaker 3: Yeah? Oh we might we might have the same too.
- 39:17Speaker 3: So whatever you take, whatever you don't take, I can
- 39:19Speaker 3: take it.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I don't know that we're on the same page here,
- 39:21Speaker 1: but I'm going Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, yeah, we're on the
- 39:23Speaker 1: same Okay, I'm going after Aaron Rodgers.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Yea, it is crazy. He sucks.
- 39:27Speaker 1: They suck.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Do you have two Super Bowl champs?
- 39:30Speaker 1: Yeah, but they're also old, right, so who oh, I'm
- 39:33Speaker 1: left with Trevor Lawrence.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I'd get him out of here. I mean, I mean,
- 39:37Speaker 3: welcome to my team, Trevor Lawrence.
- 39:40Speaker 1: You were last picked a being not the worst. So
- 39:44Speaker 1: then let's look at who made Who made it? Josh Allen,
- 39:47Speaker 1: Tua and Drake may made it. Questions lamar Borough, Stroud, Mahomes,
- 39:54Speaker 1: Justin Herbert bo Nicks made it as a rookie, Jalen Hurts,
- 39:57Speaker 1: Jade and Daniels, Jared Golf, Sam darn Old made it.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Yeah, look at that you turn it around.
- 40:02Speaker 5: Redemption Air Rodgers didn't and Sam Darnold did.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Wow.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Jordan Love Kirk Cousins, Baker Mayfield, that's redemption. He had
- 40:12Speaker 1: to go to your last year. But I'm saying he's
- 40:14Speaker 1: fought back the garbage. Can Murray Stafford, Gino Smith and
- 40:17Speaker 1: Broock Purty.
- 40:18Speaker 3: Kyler Murray too. Kyler Murray, Like I think a lot
- 40:22Speaker 3: of people wrote him off.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah with the Cardinals. Yeah, I just can't see
- 40:26Speaker 1: him when he wrote him off. I just I couldn't
- 40:30Speaker 1: see everybody. I could see his.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Head when he runs. It's so funny to see.
- 40:35Speaker 1: It's like maybe the Colors have something to do with that.
- 40:38Speaker 1: I don't know. Maybe it's their uniforms make him look smaller. Somehow,
- 40:40Speaker 1: I think it's just him.
- 40:42Speaker 3: Do you remember rb I baseball? Yes, like you remember
- 40:44Speaker 3: when you're the guy gets out, like whenever he gets
- 40:47Speaker 3: till he runs back to the dugout. That's what he
- 40:50Speaker 3: looks like to me.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Again, we're not near the end. No, no, no, no,
- 40:54Speaker 1: we're better than them and anyway, because you're fast, dude, Yeah,
- 40:59Speaker 1: it is. He's so little. Yeah, in real life, what
- 41:02Speaker 1: do you think he is?
- 41:03Speaker 6: Five?
- 41:04Speaker 1: Five ten, five eleven? Oh? I think I think he
- 41:07Speaker 1: can't be five nine. No, chances five nine. He's gotta
- 41:09Speaker 1: be taller than that.
- 41:10Speaker 5: You sure five ten?
- 41:12Speaker 3: Max?
- 41:12Speaker 1: Really? Max? I never met him, like we met Bryce Young,
- 41:16Speaker 1: and I would say Bryce Young is five eleven to
- 41:17Speaker 1: six foot.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I would say that I think he was my height
- 41:20Speaker 3: and I'm your five eleven six foot.
- 41:22Speaker 1: You're not six foot? Okay? Then okay, fair, you're gonna
- 41:25Speaker 1: make a deal here, Yes you can be six foot.
- 41:29Speaker 3: You're not giving that to me. The doctor gave that
- 41:32Speaker 3: to me.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Just listen to ideal. This is what i'd like to
- 41:35Speaker 1: suggest here the question I'm going to ask you, and
- 41:37Speaker 1: I would like your honest answer. Am I taller than you?
- 41:40Speaker 3: Yes?
- 41:41Speaker 1: If you're six foot, you're six to one? Okay, and
- 41:44Speaker 1: my driver's license sys six to one? Am I legitimately
- 41:47Speaker 1: six to one? No, I'm probably like six foot and
- 41:49Speaker 1: a half.
- 41:50Speaker 3: There we go. Yeah, but so we're both right because
- 41:53Speaker 3: you are taller than me.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Can you I'm gonna give you six foot if you
- 41:55Speaker 1: give me six one? And I'm saying, unilaterally, why can't
- 41:58Speaker 1: you do six and a half, because it's stupid to say, yeah,
- 42:01Speaker 1: and my driver's license. If you're gonna use doctor, I
- 42:03Speaker 1: can use driver's license. But this is this is the
- 42:05Speaker 1: pact we have to make right here and right now.
- 42:07Speaker 3: No, but the doctor's off. Wait, the doctors is legit.
- 42:10Speaker 1: So it's this driver's license.
- 42:11Speaker 3: No, you tell them what to put on that they
- 42:12Speaker 3: don't measure you.
- 42:13Speaker 1: My doctors to measure me to measure my height in years.
- 42:18Speaker 5: Wait, yes, when's the last time to take your height
- 42:20Speaker 5: at the doctor?
- 42:21Speaker 3: I mean probably ten years ago? But what I didn't
- 42:23Speaker 3: get any shorter? That's not true.
- 42:25Speaker 1: Okay, let me say this. I like to present one
- 42:27Speaker 1: final time. Come on, not just here, but in life.
- 42:30Speaker 1: I will protect you from being six foot tall. If
- 42:33Speaker 1: you say six foot out, you will not hear me
- 42:34Speaker 1: raise my hand to go. No chance, I will not
- 42:37Speaker 1: say that is not true. If somebody says no way,
- 42:39Speaker 1: I will fight for you. But you got to give
- 42:42Speaker 1: me the same respect for six to one. And if
- 42:44Speaker 1: you want to make that deal, I will make it
- 42:46Speaker 1: with you right now. But it's not just this room.
- 42:48Speaker 1: It's every room for the rest of our lives.
- 42:49Speaker 3: Okay. I can no longer say you're not six to.
- 42:51Speaker 1: One, not just that. If someone tells me stop saying
- 42:55Speaker 1: you're six to one, be like, no, he's six one
- 42:57Speaker 1: is okay?
- 42:57Speaker 5: You got to stick up for him.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and vice versa for each other. If it comes
- 43:01Speaker 1: to it, you will say that. And this never gets
- 43:03Speaker 1: addressed again either, like this like fight. We don't even
- 43:05Speaker 1: talk about this conversation anymore. It only lives on this podcast.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Is proof that it happened, but we never mentioned it again.
- 43:13Speaker 1: And if you're good with it, I'm good with it.
- 43:16Speaker 1: But but we are what we're saying we are as
- 43:19Speaker 1: of today. You're not six foot tall.
- 43:21Speaker 3: You are six to one.
- 43:22Speaker 1: No, I'm not. Yes, you are, if own, but you
- 43:25Speaker 1: didn't agree. If you said if you.
- 43:26Speaker 5: Lock it in, yeah, you never said yes.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Yeah, you never like officially locked it in.
- 43:30Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like we're both going to benefit here,
- 43:33Speaker 3: lock it in because I have no problem in modion
- 43:36Speaker 3: that you're taller than me. So bones, I am going
- 43:37Speaker 3: to lock it in and.
- 43:40Speaker 5: I'm locked into and I'm six four guys.
- 43:43Speaker 3: No, no, you are not part of.
- 43:47Speaker 1: How tall are you?
- 43:48Speaker 5: Six to two? No, I'm the same. It goes up
- 43:53Speaker 5: an inch for all three of us. I'm like six'
- 43:56Speaker 5: one in a quarter. Okay when I say six.
- 43:58Speaker 1: To two, he said, whatever you want. Uh, okay. Good
- 44:02Speaker 1: job on the game, guys.
- 44:02Speaker 3: That was fun.

- 46:06Speaker 5: TikTok is my fantasy app.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Why don't have TikTok? Huh?
- 46:11Speaker 5: No, I just try. I just there's a lot of
- 46:13Speaker 5: social media, and I like social media just as much
- 46:16Speaker 5: as anybody else. But I also hate it just as
- 46:18Speaker 5: much as anybody else, and I just try to keep
- 46:20Speaker 5: my time as limited as possible.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Great, super healthy. I think TikTok to me is the

- 47:47Speaker 1: a podcast.
- 47:47Speaker 3: Okay, explain. I loved to see it. You're met. So
- 47:53Speaker 3: there you go.

- 48:02Speaker 5: That is not nicker Wagran. Uh. We're gonna have to

- 48:38Speaker 5: Not Dawn connect, Okay, team.
- 48:40Speaker 1: I can't believe that the heat passed on him at fifteen.
- 48:44Speaker 1: So four that storm dude stream doesn't count.
- 48:50Speaker 3: About the sports dude, here's five hundred, but it's time.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm five hundred and sports related algorithm feeds.
- 49:00Speaker 3: You're gonna beat me, for sure. I bet you. I
- 49:03Speaker 3: get two out of ten just because I'm so diverse.
- 49:06Speaker 3: You know there's gonna be some fishing in there.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Okay, well that's that'd be a sport. That's a sport.
- 49:11Speaker 3: Oh really, so like a guy trying to catch an Now.
- 49:14Speaker 5: You go to state for Fortnite, after you can go
- 49:16Speaker 5: to fish.
- 49:18Speaker 1: I sponsored my school state fishing. Yes, let's go, baby,
- 49:21Speaker 1: I need to see though.
- 49:21Speaker 3: Okay, here we go, pulling it up.
- 49:24Speaker 1: I grow them, I grow them.
- 49:26Speaker 3: Challenge First one speaking language, gonna become friends with your daughter?
- 49:30Speaker 1: I don't know that some guy. Oh for one, go ahead,
- 49:34Speaker 1: that's an ad. Okay, that's chaboozie country music. No sports
- 49:41Speaker 1: over two.
- 49:42Speaker 3: We like it though, commercial Chanelle Lunch of the In
- 49:46Speaker 3: and Out.
- 49:47Speaker 5: I'm not hungry.
- 49:48Speaker 3: That's just from Chevy Chase.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Oh for three.
- 49:55Speaker 3: Oh that's the guy from Minute Work.
- 49:58Speaker 1: He looks old. Yeah, Colin Hayes, Wow, I mean he
- 50:01Speaker 1: is old, but we're all going to get on. It's
- 50:03Speaker 1: pretty good though, man, So far over four dorm dudes? Okay,
- 50:08Speaker 1: what's what's the clip?
- 50:09Speaker 3: Let's go? Portland fans were going wild after Yuki. I
- 50:13Speaker 3: mean a lot of Yuki oh from Memphis Yuki for
- 50:15Speaker 3: the Memphis Kid.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, okay.
- 50:25Speaker 3: I don't know, dude, I don't know what that is.
- 50:29Speaker 3: That's an ad uh some my home video for I
- 50:36Speaker 3: don't know. I don't know what this is? One for seven? Oh, well,
- 50:38Speaker 3: it's Lebron Jason Williams versus Randy Moss ad.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Okay, okay o, that counts that baby.
- 50:46Speaker 3: Okay, what is this? I don't know?
- 50:50Speaker 1: Somebody playing guitar flamiko.
- 50:52Speaker 3: I don't know who that is?
- 50:53Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, musical now yeah, it looks like I don't
- 50:57Speaker 1: know too, right, I don't know what that is? Two
- 50:59Speaker 1: more left?
- 50:59Speaker 3: Okay, two more? Here go for Following Your Dream. That
- 51:02Speaker 3: a lot of ads so that's ESPN. Guy had no
- 51:08Speaker 3: clue he was chatting with Kyler Murray. That's it, go
- 51:11Speaker 3: back all right?
- 51:12Speaker 5: Three for nine.
- 51:13Speaker 1: He didn't know who the young child was talking to him.
- 51:15Speaker 3: That's funny kids playing football.
- 51:20Speaker 1: That's okay. Podcast. That counts four okay? Four?
- 51:24Speaker 3: Ten? Not bad, that's pretty good. That's pretty good.
- 51:26Speaker 1: I mean only one lesson me, two more than he thought.
- 51:28Speaker 3: That was a risk And no, fishing fishing didn't didn't
- 51:31Speaker 3: pop up there.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Maybe you don't like fishing.
- 51:33Speaker 3: No, man, I get a lot of deep fishing.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Are you are you doing that that? Five K?
- 51:38Speaker 3: Well, here's the thing. My family's coming into town. I
- 51:41Speaker 3: got like, my mom's coming, my sister's coming, my brother's coming,
- 51:44Speaker 3: and they're all coming for Thanksgiving. I'm thinking that'd be cool,
- 51:46Speaker 3: you know, in the morning, Thanksgiving morning, we can all
- 51:48Speaker 3: do the turkey trot. Five K. I google it, look
- 51:51Speaker 3: it up to register. It's fifty dollars a person. There's
- 51:55Speaker 3: six of us plus them three. I mean that's nine people.
- 51:58Speaker 3: We're not gonna pay fifty dollars. So have you ever
- 52:02Speaker 3: done this?
- 52:02Speaker 1: Yes?
- 52:02Speaker 3: You ever done the turkey trot?
- 52:03Speaker 1: Yes?
- 52:04Speaker 3: Did you know you did?
- 52:05Speaker 1: I did in Texas did you know you had to pay?
- 52:07Speaker 1: I signed up for it.
- 52:08Speaker 3: I paid for it. Yeah. Is there any way we
- 52:10Speaker 3: can just show up and.
- 52:11Speaker 1: Just walk it? Yes, they don't own the street, yeah,
- 52:15Speaker 1: but it's enclosed. I think you can. It's a good
- 52:21Speaker 1: question because you know, I think yes, I think they
- 52:23Speaker 1: can't keep you off the street.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Maybe maybe we do, like three people and it's like
- 52:27Speaker 3: one hundred and fifty bucks and whatever charity it goes to,
- 52:29Speaker 3: we've donated one hundred and fifty bucks, but then the
- 52:31Speaker 3: rest of.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Us Just so you know, you're not going to donate
- 52:33Speaker 1: the money. Let's be honest, you're gonna do it. You're
- 52:35Speaker 1: not gonna donate the money too.
- 52:36Speaker 3: Well, if you tell me that, I won't get caught.
- 52:38Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, we'll just walk up there.
- 52:39Speaker 1: I don't think anybody's going to enforce step Mike, you're
- 52:42Speaker 1: a runner.
- 52:43Speaker 5: I don't know how much they enforce it for five k's,
- 52:45Speaker 5: but for marathons, if you don't have a bib, there
- 52:47Speaker 5: are people that look out to find people who don't
- 52:49Speaker 5: have bibs and make them get off the street.
- 52:51Speaker 1: But I don't know about a five marathon is much
- 52:52Speaker 1: more serious. It's more expensive too, everyone's dressed like a
- 52:54Speaker 1: turkey like. Also, the costumes, yeah, yeah, they're not going
- 52:58Speaker 1: to see the bib.
- 52:59Speaker 3: So if I wear a costume, I'm gonna be like ya,
- 53:02Speaker 3: my bib's under here.
- 53:03Speaker 1: I don't think you even have. What would be the
- 53:06Speaker 1: integrity way to play this would be to pay for it, Okay,
- 53:11Speaker 1: but that's a lot of money. I also understand that
- 53:13Speaker 1: there's a lot of money. Why not do your own
- 53:14Speaker 1: turkey trot run the neighborhood. Yeah, you could do that.
- 53:17Speaker 1: That's integrity based, But part of it's.
- 53:19Speaker 3: The vibe of everyone dressed.
- 53:20Speaker 1: Like so you want to experience what they paid for
- 53:25Speaker 1: having to pay for it. I mean that's really the question.
- 53:27Speaker 3: I guess that's kind of it.
- 53:28Speaker 1: So a little less integrity play here is to do
- 53:31Speaker 1: a partial sign up or a partial donation.
- 53:35Speaker 3: So three of us sign up.
- 53:36Speaker 1: But do I think that you're going to get caught
- 53:38Speaker 1: and like run out of town? No, I think you'll
- 53:41Speaker 1: be fine.
- 53:42Speaker 3: Let me run in by my mom because my wife
- 53:45Speaker 3: and I were on board. I mean, she's just like,
- 53:47Speaker 3: there's no way we can pay all that for everyone,
- 53:49Speaker 3: So she's on board and maybe sneaking in my mom.
- 53:52Speaker 3: I don't know she gets embarrassed.
- 53:54Speaker 1: By but it's not sneaking in. You're in public.
- 53:56Speaker 3: But don't they have a route? Don't they kind of
- 53:58Speaker 3: like lock it up, Mike, don't they kind of.
- 53:59Speaker 1: Just like and then they barricade. They can't barricade all
- 54:01Speaker 1: the miles. It's like a starting line and an ending
- 54:04Speaker 1: finish line. You could hop in a tenth of a
- 54:06Speaker 1: mile into it and they would not know. That would
- 54:08Speaker 1: cost a lot. If they barricaded the whole thing, that'd
- 54:10Speaker 1: be amazed, that'd be amazedly.
- 54:12Speaker 3: You're right, didn't I shut it down for a five K?
- 54:14Speaker 1: Yeah? All right, I think you could regardless, you can
- 54:18Speaker 1: go do it. You and your family can go do it.
- 54:19Speaker 3: Okay, we have your blessing.
- 54:21Speaker 1: No, I don't give my blessing unless you pay for
- 54:23Speaker 1: it because it's for a charity, right yeah?
- 54:27Speaker 3: Is it for a charity? Mic or do they give
- 54:29Speaker 3: that just to the people at the barricade costs? It's
- 54:31Speaker 3: usually a charity. Yeah, okay, maybe I donate to the charity.
- 54:35Speaker 3: Like fifty is a lot, though I thought it'd be
- 54:38Speaker 3: like fifteen dollars a person or something.
- 54:40Speaker 1: You definitely can do it without paying. You can as
- 54:42Speaker 1: in you, you'd be able to. No one's going to
- 54:44Speaker 1: enforce a rule on you. If you feel good about that,
- 54:48Speaker 1: you go for it.
- 54:49Speaker 3: You guys want to talk a trot with us?
- 54:51Speaker 1: No, But if you finish and you're like, dang it,
- 54:54Speaker 1: you could then just go make a donation to the charity.
- 54:56Speaker 1: That's not even the full price for all the people
- 54:57Speaker 1: that is a lot of money.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Yeah, you could just.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Go don't on a hundre bucks to whatever the charity is.
- 55:01Speaker 1: And I think that would even be a move, okay,
- 55:03Speaker 1: because I think they'd rather have the one hundred bucks
- 55:05Speaker 1: and you come and cheat the system, then you not
- 55:06Speaker 1: show up at all and then not get the hundred bucks,
- 55:08Speaker 1: right like, I think that's a win for the charity.
- 55:10Speaker 3: Yes, Now, if I do get caught, do I tell
- 55:13Speaker 3: them that? No, it's playing on donating at the end.
- 55:15Speaker 1: The problem with getting caught is your kids are with
- 55:17Speaker 1: you and they're gonna see you lie.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Correct, correct, And kids watch everything we're doing.
- 55:22Speaker 1: So if you get caught out, just run, yes, run faster,
- 55:26Speaker 1: run away. Yeah, you can't get cont front of your kid.
- 55:29Speaker 1: But I don't think anyone's going to care enough to
- 55:30Speaker 1: catch them, right mate?
- 55:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think so. Okay, Okay, I.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Think the move is because it is a bit unrealistic
- 55:35Speaker 1: feet to pay nine times fifty Yeah, right, nine people,
- 55:39Speaker 1: fifty nine people do? The math is how much money?
- 55:42Speaker 3: I can't do that, ma, calculator four to fifty nine
- 55:44Speaker 3: times five forty five? How did you do that?
- 55:46Speaker 1: Nine times five forty five at the zero?
- 55:47Speaker 3: Got it?
- 55:48Speaker 1: I don't think that's any I'm not.
- 55:49Speaker 3: Sure I would be the shortcut.
- 55:52Speaker 1: How would you have done that the same way?
- 55:53Speaker 3: Okay?
- 55:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I think if it's for a charity, they would
- 55:58Speaker 1: rather people that have massive families that cannot pay the
- 56:01Speaker 1: four and fifty bucks to all still do it, but
- 56:03Speaker 1: pay something better than getting nothing. That's my suggestion, Kevin.
- 56:09Speaker 5: Yeah, that's probably your best bet.
- 56:11Speaker 1: No one's gonna catch you, No one's gonna call him out.
- 56:12Speaker 5: No, they're not gonna care that much.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Especially if when they don't win the race, you can't
- 56:18Speaker 1: finish like top ten year age group or anything, then
- 56:21Speaker 1: then that's here comes the leader.
- 56:23Speaker 3: Yeah, you can say he doesn't have a.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Bit blend in.
- 56:26Speaker 5: Blend in.
- 56:28Speaker 1: Yes, you can't win, so pull that. Well, go ahead,
- 56:30Speaker 1: I'm sorry to interrupt.
- 56:31Speaker 3: No, No, that's it.
- 56:32Speaker 1: That's it, because if you're like on the internet as
- 56:35Speaker 1: one of the people the winner of the Turkey truck
- 56:37Speaker 1: or like top, you can't do any of that.
- 56:39Speaker 3: And then the news you know, interviewed me.

- 56:44Speaker 1: place here.

- 56:49Speaker 1: have a great few days of watching football. I got

- 56:56Speaker 1: speculating if the game's even happened, right right, if we're safe.
- 57:02Speaker 3: If we're still a lot.
- 57:04Speaker 1: So I'm saying we might be dead right now, right
- 57:06Speaker 1: So that's weird of like bad Turkey. I don't think
- 57:09Speaker 1: gonna die from them.
- 57:10Speaker 5: We're not coming to your house.
- 57:11Speaker 1: I don't think so are you. What are you doing for? Wow,
