- 0:00Speaker 1: And take care of my community and things like that
- 0:04Speaker 1: depends and and to my entrepreneurship journey.
- 0:14Speaker 2: So tell me a little bit about your entrepreneurship journey
- 0:19Speaker 2: and what you said give back to your community. How
- 0:23Speaker 2: are you giving back to your community and what makes
- 0:25Speaker 2: you want to give back to your community.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Well with the entrepreneurship, I'm in twenty one started my
- 0:42Speaker 3: LLC and Black Collection, and I focused on pretty much
- 0:48Speaker 3: the Black community women be the product, you know how
- 0:53Speaker 3: black women. I about the peace and stuff like that.
- 0:57Speaker 3: And so when I started my LLC, I really folk
- 1:03Speaker 3: beauty and hair and the overall just look and feel
- 1:09Speaker 3: of being beautiful for a woman because it's very important
- 1:13Speaker 3: to her, you know, especially moms.
- 1:16Speaker 4: You know, we have just had babies.
- 1:19Speaker 3: And stuff like that, you know, struggling to feel pretty
- 1:22Speaker 3: and just like you know, struggle with loss and stuff
- 1:30Speaker 3: like that. So I focused a lot of my.
- 1:35Speaker 5: Airs.
- 1:37Speaker 3: I helped into getting like.
- 1:39Speaker 6: Hair sprays and hair.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Masks and lotions and stuff like that. So it was
- 1:45Speaker 3: a big learning process and it was a manager way
- 1:50Speaker 3: to connect with my community. And then when my baby
- 1:53Speaker 3: girl into why I wanted to give back the because
- 2:01Speaker 3: my baby girl had looked like you know, like I
- 2:06Speaker 3: had my kids like a lot of different things and
- 2:11Speaker 3: stuff like that, you know what I'm saying. And I
- 2:14Speaker 3: found so much like overflow that I and of the
- 2:21Speaker 3: people like you know, they didn't have it because I
- 2:25Speaker 3: was that helped to get it for my kids. My
- 2:28Speaker 3: kids had you know, support coming from them and them
- 2:34Speaker 3: supported me and with my children like mental support, physical
- 2:38Speaker 3: support and and stuff like that. So when like I
- 2:45Speaker 3: I thought that it was very important to help out
- 2:51Speaker 3: where I can because I mean, people know me when
- 2:54Speaker 3: they really didn't have to. So it was like when
- 2:57Speaker 3: I got the even the slightest big I do, so
- 3:05Speaker 3: I got that help. You know they say back out
- 3:10Speaker 3: they do, so that's a given to just pay it
- 3:15Speaker 3: forward a bit, you know what I mean. And so
- 3:17Speaker 3: that was really really because they can and starting up
- 3:23Speaker 3: like to just like even when my whether with my
- 3:26Speaker 3: baby grew up in in the hospital and and stuff
- 3:29Speaker 3: like that, I was like, she's mother baby has been
- 3:33Speaker 3: in the hospital community a year now, and so like
- 3:36Speaker 3: when holidays broke around, like like Valentine's Day, I made
- 3:42Speaker 3: balanced time back to give out to the little ward
- 3:45Speaker 3: that she's in for all the Davis Now, I mean.
- 3:48Speaker 4: It's a few little beny babies, like.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Little basics, but I still gave back, let her be
- 3:54Speaker 3: fellartle back to all of those all of these homes
- 3:57Speaker 3: and stuff like that. And it was just something that
- 3:59Speaker 3: was superfort for me to do because you know, it's
- 4:03Speaker 3: just why not, you know what I'm.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Saying, break So if you would, because a lot of
- 4:12Speaker 2: people are probably wondering where are you and why are
- 4:17Speaker 2: you in the hospital, why are your babies in the hospital,
- 4:20Speaker 2: if you could share a little bit of your backstory
- 4:24Speaker 2: to while you are in the hospital and why you've
- 4:28Speaker 2: had to have people to sew into you like that,
- 4:31Speaker 2: if you would mind sharing that.
- 4:37Speaker 4: But and.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Last year in August, we found out that my daughter,
- 4:45Speaker 3: my baby girl, my three year old, her heart was failing,
- 4:48Speaker 3: and like it all just started with her just she
- 4:53Speaker 3: wouldn't eat, right, just what kind of kicks us into action,
- 4:58Speaker 3: But she just wouldn't eat. And my baby loves to eat.
- 5:01Speaker 3: So that was kind of John to me and her
- 5:03Speaker 3: dad like she's gonna eat, Like he was Saanda pressuring,
- 5:07Speaker 3: pressuring me, and I was kind of, you know, paying
- 5:10Speaker 3: attention to a pressure him, like yeah, you know, it's
- 5:12Speaker 3: getting kind So one day at home, I just made
- 5:16Speaker 3: the decision to take us to the er and just
- 5:19Speaker 3: because she wouldn't eat. And when I was took us
- 5:22Speaker 3: to the er, they ran a number of tests Ona
- 5:25Speaker 3: and stuff like they asked questions and stuff like that,
- 5:27Speaker 3: and they.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Was running a number of tests Ona, and the.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Doctor just told me after he had ran the number
- 5:34Speaker 3: of tests and he ran and they was all just
- 5:36Speaker 3: coming back like with with no results. He said he
- 5:41Speaker 3: had one more tests around but he was like, I'm
- 5:42Speaker 3: pretty sure I get the result I'm looking for after
- 5:45Speaker 3: I run his test. And when he ran it, you
- 5:48Speaker 3: know he did. He actually did get the results and
- 5:51Speaker 3: he said he didn't he first of all, he didn't
- 5:54Speaker 3: come out and just blurted out like that. He sent
- 5:56Speaker 3: me down and he said her heart was feeling well,
- 6:03Speaker 3: Dean and sending me down in the Sheffield So like
- 6:05Speaker 3: I hit the floor because I just it was just
- 6:08Speaker 3: something that I couldn't take. I started wailing and he
- 6:13Speaker 3: left out at the hospital room or whatever, and I
- 6:16Speaker 3: called her dad. I remember trying to get it out
- 6:19Speaker 3: to him and kind of yelling at him. And because
- 6:24Speaker 3: he wasn't with me, he was on the road he
- 6:26Speaker 3: worked a lot or whatever. So I remember trying to
- 6:29Speaker 3: get it out to him and tell him what was
- 6:31Speaker 3: going on.
- 6:32Speaker 6: And I love I called her the.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Doctor, her guardian angel. She somehow the doctor was connected
- 6:41Speaker 3: out there and they got her from the hospital that
- 6:43Speaker 3: she was in to the very first hospital that she
- 6:46Speaker 3: the emergency Roman that she's excuse me, to the hospital
- 6:50Speaker 3: that she went and spent about a week at in
- 6:53Speaker 3: the city of Chicago, the Genre's Hospital at High Park.
- 7:00Speaker 6: And you know, like her journey started in August, the
- 7:05Speaker 6: thirteenth of August last year.
- 7:07Speaker 3: So eventually, like you know, like we gotta diagnosis Sotty quickly,
- 7:15Speaker 3: but eventually we were told that she would need a transplant.
- 7:19Speaker 3: And after we were told that she would need a transplant,
- 7:25Speaker 3: her heart of transplant because her heart was enlarged and
- 7:29Speaker 3: she had dealt with a number of different like cares
- 7:35Speaker 3: and pneumonia, septis, like she dealt was quite a big
- 7:40Speaker 3: you know, being in the hospital, she was intubated for months.
- 7:43Speaker 3: You know, she couldn't see for a very long time.
- 7:47Speaker 3: So she wanted to do a lot and you know,
- 7:49Speaker 3: her daddy in the world a lot. And at one.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Point in time, Miche, I don't know what happened. I
- 8:08Speaker 2: can't hear you.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Over there a line of over right now? So are
- 8:12Speaker 5: you ever trying to figure that out at this time?
- 8:16Speaker 2: Wow?
- 8:17Speaker 3: And I'm going with bills at first. You know, they
- 8:22Speaker 3: came and helped us out with resources and like even
- 8:29Speaker 3: a foundation across the Richie Purvin Foundation. They helped us
- 8:32Speaker 3: with like Christmas gifts for my kids and stuff like that.
- 8:35Speaker 3: So if it's like when I say they poured into us,
- 8:40Speaker 3: they really did. Wow, it really did that.
- 8:48Speaker 2: That that's amazing and and thank you for sharing that.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I can only imagine what you're going through. I I
- 8:57Speaker 2: remember us having that conversation Leche. She has been a
- 9:03Speaker 2: part of the things that I do for quite some time,
- 9:06Speaker 2: so she's like family to me. So when she told
- 9:09Speaker 2: me this, we've yet been praying for her in her
- 9:12Speaker 2: her whole family. So now we are in the process
- 9:16Speaker 2: of trying to help her raise fund so that her
- 9:21Speaker 2: baby can get a heart transplant. There is a link.
- 9:26Speaker 2: We've been sharing it across social media. We are also
- 9:30Speaker 2: hosting an event fourteenth in Chicago. We're gonna share the information.
- 9:37Speaker 2: We'll be sharing the location and things of that nature.
- 9:40Speaker 2: But it's gonna be an opportunity for you guys to
- 9:42Speaker 2: come out support. It's an author event, so there's gonna
- 9:46Speaker 2: be some authors there. Of course, Lechee is an poet,
- 9:50Speaker 2: amazing poet. She has some some literary work. Out have
- 9:55Speaker 2: an opportunity to display that work. But you will have
- 9:58Speaker 2: an opportunity to don't cannot be in and you're letting,
- 10:05Speaker 2: you're tuned in, and you will donate. She actually has
- 10:10Speaker 2: a link uh that web about that organization. They actually
- 10:16Speaker 2: have a link of so you guys can donate. I
- 10:19Speaker 2: think what may be small to you, every little bit helped.
- 10:25Speaker 2: And I honestly don't know what this young lady has
- 10:29Speaker 2: gone through and what she's yet dealing with because she
- 10:32Speaker 2: has four other babies that she has to also take
- 10:36Speaker 2: care of. So as a community, I just hope that
- 10:40Speaker 2: we can rally around her and show her some support.
- 10:44Speaker 2: If nobody but her guys can come together and at
- 10:50Speaker 2: least show her some support and show her some love.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I truly would appreciate that, Lache, if you would please
- 10:56Speaker 2: share with them that website that they can go to.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Ah.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I actually have the website. It is mh it is
- 11:22Speaker 2: the qult dot org and the cult it is spelled
- 11:27Speaker 2: c O t A and it stands for children Organ
- 11:32Speaker 2: Transplant Association and it's at dot org and it's backslash
- 11:39Speaker 2: cult for Cash Heart and that is k A s H.
- 11:48Speaker 2: It's heart and that is cash. If you are on
- 11:53Speaker 2: social media and you're come across my page, I have
- 11:57Speaker 2: shared that link. Hopefully I'll be able to share that
- 12:01Speaker 2: link so that you guys can get it again. It
- 12:05Speaker 2: is the cult. It's ce dot org and it stands
- 12:11Speaker 2: for Children's Organ Transplant Association. If you Google, just put
- 12:17Speaker 2: in cash heart and it's k A s H S Heart.
- 12:25Speaker 2: You will see a beautiful little picture of a little
- 12:27Speaker 2: girl with some glasses and there's a pretty little picture
- 12:32Speaker 2: of her right there, and it says Mama's pretty little girl,
- 12:36Speaker 2: and it says hashtag heart awareness. That is on the
- 12:41Speaker 2: very front page. So you guys can go over and
- 12:46Speaker 2: support support Lache Lache. How can I want you to
- 12:51Speaker 2: stick around though? But how can people follow you and
- 12:55Speaker 2: support the things that you are doing.
- 12:59Speaker 4: It?
- 13:00Speaker 2: If you would please share that. But I want you
- 13:02Speaker 2: to stick around because later on after I bring up
- 13:05Speaker 2: the other two yet, ladies, we're gonna open up the
- 13:07Speaker 2: lines and individuals are gonna be able to call in
- 13:09Speaker 2: so people may want to talk to you, So I
- 13:11Speaker 2: want you to stick around. If you can, I understand.
- 13:13Speaker 2: If you can't, I understand because I know that you
- 13:17Speaker 2: are at the hospital. So if you would please tell
- 13:20Speaker 2: individuals how they can follow you, how they can reach
- 13:24Speaker 2: out to you, how they can get in touch with you.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Facebook. Can you say that's the guy? I gotta make
- 13:55Speaker 3: sure Kay Underscore also Underscore writers on Instagram.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Of my.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Yeah Facebook instag.
- 14:31Speaker 2: You cannot get in contact with her, y'all know that,
- 14:34Speaker 2: all of them, I guess if you can't get in
- 14:36Speaker 2: contact with them at any time, you always can reach
- 14:39Speaker 2: out to me and I will be able to directly
- 14:42Speaker 2: connect you guys, because that's what I do. I like
- 14:45Speaker 2: to make sure that I'm able to stay connected with
- 14:47Speaker 2: those that are part of what I do, so I
- 14:50Speaker 2: will stay connected. So if you guys cannot get in

- 14:56Speaker 2: will directly connect you guys. Because guess what, I got
- 14:59Speaker 2: the digit so I can call her up and let
- 15:01Speaker 2: her know you need to get in contact with her.
- 15:03Speaker 2: So lache, hang around and we may have some questions
- 15:11Speaker 2: for you later on around If you can and bring
- 15:16Speaker 2: up Sunshine and keep it moving so we can open
- 15:21Speaker 2: up the line and get some questions going, Sunshine, are
- 15:24Speaker 2: you d ask we holler on?
- 15:26Speaker 4: Uh? I am here, yes, Queen and Jill uh get
- 15:32Speaker 4: some of my fellows.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Yes, all with shame. I'm so inspired by your keeping on, sister,
- 15:42Speaker 3: and you have my support and my love and my blessing,
- 15:46Speaker 3: and I know that God, by Jesus strikes we're healed,
- 15:51Speaker 3: and so I am. During an extra prayer.
- 15:54Speaker 2: For your daughter, Amen, Amen, I tell you I thank
- 16:01Speaker 2: you for that we call her name out every single day.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I tell your prayer powerful. And I tell you when
- 16:12Speaker 2: you understand and know the it can mountains and you
- 16:18Speaker 2: are definitely a living testimony. You you have a testimony
- 16:24Speaker 2: that I tell you just make you want to just
- 16:27Speaker 2: run around the building and just shout. And I just
- 16:31Speaker 2: want you to just let people know who you are, Sunshine.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Like that that that's a name. That how did you
- 16:43Speaker 2: get that name?
- 16:46Speaker 3: Say how I got this name? I've been carrying a
- 16:49Speaker 3: name to.
- 16:53Speaker 4: My family.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Okay, Lord fatuity to do a lot of volunteer at
- 17:04Speaker 3: my daughter's high school. And I walked in there one
- 17:08Speaker 3: day in Principe. Look at you coming in here like
- 17:14Speaker 3: a big old ball of French shine. Can I call
- 17:16Speaker 3: you Sunshine? And ever since that day in two I
- 17:21Speaker 3: have been sunshine. I have always have let my light shine.
- 17:26Speaker 3: But you know, for somebody to recognize it, I wore
- 17:32Speaker 3: that title. Probably, Yes, that's how I became the sunshine
- 17:36Speaker 3: in two thousand and eight.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Wow, So a little more about you, because you are
- 17:42Speaker 2: a woman of many hats, many gifts, many talents. So
- 17:47Speaker 2: if you would outside being an author, who is Sunshine?
- 17:55Speaker 3: Who am first and foremost? I am a child o God,
- 18:02Speaker 3: to God be all the glories for the things that
- 18:04Speaker 3: he has done for me. I am a wife, I
- 18:09Speaker 3: am a mother.
- 18:11Speaker 4: I am a proud ge mama.
- 18:14Speaker 3: I got my first biological grandson and so my days
- 18:19Speaker 3: and free time is spent just loving on him. I'm
- 18:24Speaker 3: also a labor union leader. That's my day job. I've
- 18:29Speaker 3: been doing that for twenty four years now. And I'm
- 18:34Speaker 3: also a licensed professional real estate agent, a motivational speaker.
- 18:41Speaker 3: I'm entrepreneur. I helped my husband with his T shirt business,
- 18:45Speaker 3: and I just love people and I love God.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Wow, that's that's truly amazing. Your testimony is definitely one
- 18:59Speaker 2: day that I tell you, it's one that just It
- 19:06Speaker 2: is amazing. It just shows the power of God, and
- 19:11Speaker 2: I'm just grateful to be connected to some amazing women
- 19:17Speaker 2: we have. I've been sharing a lot across social media,
- 19:22Speaker 2: so I've been telling people that there's two things that
- 19:24Speaker 2: brought us together, and that was the first thing was
- 19:28Speaker 2: that we all have a story. And the second thing
- 19:31Speaker 2: was we all decided to share that story, whether it
- 19:35Speaker 2: was through poetry or it was through a book. We
- 19:39Speaker 2: all decided to become authors. To to be able to
- 19:42Speaker 2: share our story, to be able to be the authors
- 19:44Speaker 2: of our story, to be able to leave that legacy,
- 19:47Speaker 2: to be able to leave that blueprint so that we
- 19:50Speaker 2: can tell our own stories and nobody has to tell
- 19:53Speaker 2: it for us. So that alonge a lot. They want
- 19:58Speaker 2: to become authors, but they took that step. But you
- 20:02Speaker 2: guys took that step. What has that?
- 20:08Speaker 3: Okay?
- 20:08Speaker 6: I tell you that my.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Earn't from pain and can save me from all to
- 20:21Speaker 3: keep it to myself. Like we are all exangelists, we
- 20:25Speaker 3: are all called to share the good news about Jesus Christ.
- 20:31Speaker 4: And so after have just overcame.
- 20:35Speaker 3: So many obstacles, so many challenges. I feel like I'm
- 20:39Speaker 3: not the only one that's out there that has experienced
- 20:43Speaker 3: and other people, other women need to know that if
- 20:48Speaker 3: God did it for me, that same God, that same
- 20:52Speaker 3: he can do it also for them. Like I survived
- 20:58Speaker 3: sexual abews, I convised the nestic violence I survived. You know,
- 21:05Speaker 3: I had surgery last year and I ended up with
- 21:09Speaker 3: classing my lune. So I survived that. I remember being
- 21:13Speaker 3: in a room that atv accident and I'm just so
- 21:17Speaker 3: favorable God that I lost consciousness and when I was
- 21:21Speaker 3: able to wake up, I have broken risks, but I
- 21:25Speaker 3: can still stand up on my own two feet and
- 21:28Speaker 3: walk away from that. When I had my twins twenty
- 21:33Speaker 3: six years ago, I almost died from that. My organs
- 21:40Speaker 3: was shutting down. I had complications from PIH and preatwamsia
- 21:45Speaker 3: And just through all the valleys that I have been through,
- 21:49Speaker 3: Jesus has never left my side. He said, He's never
- 21:53Speaker 3: leaved enough for safety. And I am a recipient of
- 21:57Speaker 3: God's witness nurds each race and love, and I just
- 22:02Speaker 3: think it's my job to walk in my purpose and
- 22:05Speaker 3: walk in my victory and share that with others that
- 22:09Speaker 3: may be having a simular journey, and if it's just
- 22:13Speaker 3: to let them know that God is able to do
- 22:16Speaker 3: exceedingly abundantly of anything that we can act. And as
- 22:23Speaker 3: long as you have breath in your body, there is hope.
- 22:26Speaker 3: And so that's what I think. I carried the sunshine.
- 22:30Speaker 3: But it's about like hope and and also like when
- 22:34Speaker 3: you said in the beginning, is that I needed to
- 22:37Speaker 3: figure out what live for my children and my children's children,
- 22:44Speaker 3: because we're supposed to do that as well. And I said, well,
- 22:48Speaker 3: it's more better to do it than to share my
- 22:50Speaker 3: story empower people. And you know, I love talking, I
- 22:55Speaker 3: love meeting people, and why not do something with and
- 23:01Speaker 3: create a legacy.
- 23:03Speaker 2: That's it, and that's that's that's what we do. That's
- 23:08Speaker 2: that's four things that call it four seeds. He dropped
- 23:12Speaker 2: it in my spirit going into twenty twenty five on
- 23:17Speaker 2: the three e's, which was educating, power, and encouragement. That's
- 23:21Speaker 2: what I own is I think two thousand and four
- 23:25Speaker 2: seeds going into twenty twenty five with the one hundred
- 23:29Speaker 2: author movement, and it was connect, collaborate, create, and community.
- 23:34Speaker 2: We have to get back to being creative and back
- 23:38Speaker 2: to that community mentality. Thinking about our brothers and our sisters.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I'm grateful for Lashee being able to share her testimony
- 23:48Speaker 2: and how her community helped rally around her and in
- 23:53Speaker 2: her time on needs. And we need to know that
- 23:55Speaker 2: that's still out there. Because of a lot of stuff
- 23:58Speaker 2: that we see going on, a lot of people think
- 24:01Speaker 2: that they're still not that community mentality out there, but
- 24:05Speaker 2: there are still a lot of people that still have
- 24:07Speaker 2: a heart, they still have morals, they still have values,
- 24:11Speaker 2: and they believe in family. And we're not just talking
- 24:14Speaker 2: about blood family, but we're talking about family, our brothers
- 24:17Speaker 2: and sisters, because the Word says that we're supposed to
- 24:19Speaker 2: love our brothers and sisters, our neighbors as our brothers
- 24:23Speaker 2: and sisters, and we're supposed to love them. So I'm
- 24:28Speaker 2: grateful for the testimonies that I'm able, we're able to
- 24:32Speaker 2: share his goodness and people are able to see him
- 24:36Speaker 2: at work and they can go wherever they are. And
- 24:40Speaker 2: I want people to know that no matter where you are,
- 24:43Speaker 2: know that you are where you're supposed to be. Even
- 24:46Speaker 2: if you're going through something understood, there's a lesson in
- 24:50Speaker 2: that there's something that you're supposed to be getting, Get
- 24:53Speaker 2: it and keep going, but know that there's always an
- 24:57Speaker 2: opportunity because he said, we've been doing for a night,
- 25:01Speaker 2: but Jorde coming in the morning. Your morning may not
- 25:04Speaker 2: be today. Your morning may be five days from now,
- 25:08Speaker 2: it may be a week from now, it may be
- 25:10Speaker 2: five months from now. But know that it's coming because
- 25:13Speaker 2: his word is not gonna return to him bore. And
- 25:16Speaker 2: we got to learn how to speak that in our lives.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Definitely got to learn how to speak that in our lives.
- 25:27Speaker 2: You you've mentioned that you had you were ill and
- 25:34Speaker 2: you had to have surgery. So what was that journey
- 25:39Speaker 2: back to Helen?
- 25:43Speaker 4: Oh, a lot of.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Knowing. It was what if I was down for about
- 25:50Speaker 3: six months? But prior to my surgery was the task
- 25:53Speaker 3: that came when I really had to believe on God
- 25:58Speaker 3: the decision my life, you.
- 26:01Speaker 4: Know, just like a woman in the Bible.
- 26:03Speaker 3: And chapter thirteen we actually spoke about that a couple
- 26:08Speaker 3: of Sundays ago and I was like, that is me,
- 26:11Speaker 3: that is my story. I was indent over as long
- 26:14Speaker 3: as she was for eighteen years, but I was this over.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Sometimes I had to cross to the bathroom. It was
- 26:23Speaker 4: just really a bad.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Situation and there was no other option for me to
- 26:28Speaker 3: have surgery, and so I just thank God for being
- 26:32Speaker 3: there with the surgeon.
- 26:34Speaker 4: I had a final season my L three.
- 26:37Speaker 3: All the ways to my F one. It was not
- 26:41Speaker 3: a small thirty at all. I wasn't basically, I think
- 26:45Speaker 3: it was like five hours they told me it was.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Then I was recovering. I thought I was, you know,
- 26:51Speaker 3: recovering well, and just the ton and in disar I
- 27:00Speaker 3: sayin that I ended up going back to the EMERGENCYOM
- 27:06Speaker 3: and when they did the CPS is when they discovered
- 27:09Speaker 3: the closing along. So I just thank God, said the faint.
- 27:14Speaker 3: I wrote the whole thing about it like the power
- 27:17Speaker 3: of the Saints, because I had not stay it. I
- 27:20Speaker 3: could have just laid in that bed and just went
- 27:22Speaker 3: on the glory at that moment. And so through that
- 27:26Speaker 3: process I found new found purpose in my life. I
- 27:30Speaker 3: was like, God just continuing to keep me on this
- 27:34Speaker 3: earth for a reason. Let me walk in that reason.
- 27:38Speaker 4: Let me help other people and reads a.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Good news more. And through these platforms like your podcast
- 27:48Speaker 3: and the community that she talked about, I have that
- 27:52Speaker 3: opportunity to do just that because there's somebody out there
- 27:57Speaker 3: that needs to hear. You know, we me in Jesus,
- 28:02Speaker 3: we know we believe in divine healing. But we also
- 28:06Speaker 3: believe that God put doctor. Jesus is not threatened by
- 28:11Speaker 3: nobody with no doctor's degree. And if you're out there
- 28:15Speaker 3: and you are just over, please seek medical attention so
- 28:20Speaker 3: you can straighten up. And once you straighten up, jump
- 28:23Speaker 3: up and down and gives God all the trades, because.
- 28:25Speaker 5: That's what I do.
- 28:25Speaker 4: I was like, I couldn't do this last year, but right.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Now one all of this turks because all glories really
- 28:31Speaker 3: goes to God. And even Luke who wrote that scripture
- 28:36Speaker 3: about the this over woman, was a physician. All uh,
- 28:41Speaker 3: somebody needs to hear that that's okay to listen to
- 28:45Speaker 3: your doctor and through your doctors, Jesus can deliver healing
- 28:51Speaker 3: to you. And so yeah, I'm just excited to be
- 28:55Speaker 3: able to just share my testimony, to share my story
- 29:00Speaker 3: and let people.
- 29:01Speaker 4: Know that God can do all things.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Yes, And you know what, I'm glad you said that
- 29:08Speaker 2: because a lot of a lot of people they'll they'll
- 29:12Speaker 2: tell you to go pray and they'll tell you to
- 29:13Speaker 2: just do this and do that. But God made all
- 29:16Speaker 2: of these different positions, He made all of these different people.
- 29:20Speaker 2: You know, he knew what we was gonna need, so
- 29:22Speaker 2: he made them available and we we we have to
- 29:26Speaker 2: use wisdom too. He give us wisdom and all things.
- 29:28Speaker 2: So we have to identify what it is that we're
- 29:31Speaker 2: praying for. So if we don't go to somebody that
- 29:33Speaker 2: can identify the things that is going on with our
- 29:36Speaker 2: body and telling us what's going on, that we can,
- 29:40Speaker 2: you know, uh, call it out and then we can
- 29:43Speaker 2: call it by name, and we can give it a
- 29:44Speaker 2: name because God has given it a name. But we
- 29:47Speaker 2: all know that the name of Jesus is so much powerful.
- 29:50Speaker 2: So if we know what we're what we're putting to
- 29:54Speaker 2: the name, hum, that's what we got to know. We
- 29:56Speaker 2: can know what we put into the name. So I
- 29:59Speaker 2: thank you for sharing that, Yes, thank you.
- 30:03Speaker 3: And I always say that you know and work is
- 30:07Speaker 3: the dynamic because we already know that for what you know, faith,
- 30:12Speaker 3: you have to have faith, but you got to put
- 30:15Speaker 3: in the work for it to fai. Without without work,
- 30:19Speaker 3: that doesn't doesn't work. It doesn't work.
- 30:21Speaker 4: They go hand and hand faith and work.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Exactly that believes and work the team. And you got
- 30:29Speaker 3: to have faith and you gotta have work.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and and and and and the good thing about
- 30:35Speaker 2: it is he tells us that we have we all
- 30:38Speaker 2: we need is the faith the size of a mustad seed.
- 30:41Speaker 2: And if for everybody that knows the size of a
- 30:43Speaker 2: mustle seed, know that it is very small. It's something
- 30:46Speaker 2: that you can only see under a microsoft. So that's
- 30:48Speaker 2: just telling you if you just have that much faith,
- 30:51Speaker 2: and that's just a little faith, if you just believe
- 30:53Speaker 2: just a little what he can do. But then you
- 30:57Speaker 2: know you have to put in the work. But see
- 30:59Speaker 2: a lot of us don't want to put it in work.
- 31:01Speaker 2: That's that's that's that's where the issue come in, the
- 31:04Speaker 2: problem come in. We got all kinds of faith, we
- 31:06Speaker 2: got more faith than than than we really need, but
- 31:10Speaker 2: we're not doing the work. And that's where we are
- 31:13Speaker 2: hindered because we are waiting for something to drop out
- 31:15Speaker 2: the sky. We're waiting for something to happen. And it's
- 31:18Speaker 2: it's like insanity. We're doing the same thing and and
- 31:21Speaker 2: and nothing is happening, and we won't change up. But
- 31:25Speaker 2: that's an a whole nother story. I want you to
- 31:29Speaker 2: stick around because there's gonna be a session where we're
- 31:32Speaker 2: gonna open up the lines and we're gonna have some
- 31:34Speaker 2: callers to call in, hopefully, and we'll be able to
- 31:38Speaker 2: continue this conversation, we do have another.
- 31:42Speaker 5: With us.
- 31:43Speaker 2: She is one of the authors a part of the
- 31:45Speaker 2: one hundred author movement along with us. And for those
- 31:48Speaker 2: that do not know what the one hundred author movement is,
- 31:52Speaker 2: it is a movement under a Spirals magazine where we
- 31:57Speaker 2: focus on the four season that is connect, Collaborate, create,
- 32:02Speaker 2: and community building. We believe in connecting, we believe in
- 32:07Speaker 2: working together and being supportive, and we don't believe in competition.
- 32:11Speaker 2: So we have a chat, we have a group, we
- 32:16Speaker 2: have a couple of We really share resources, we share
- 32:21Speaker 2: through challenges, we share through doing shout outs. We do
- 32:25Speaker 2: different things to promote each other and uplift each other.
- 32:28Speaker 2: We even pray for each other when individuals are going through.
- 32:32Speaker 2: We have a sister that's tuned in right now. She's
- 32:35Speaker 2: in the hospital and she's been sharing and we've been
- 32:38Speaker 2: praying for her, and just different things that go and
- 32:42Speaker 2: take place inside of the one hundred Author movement. Sunshine,
- 32:49Speaker 2: before we go to when if you would please tell
- 32:54Speaker 2: people how they can support you, how they can follow you,

- 34:25Speaker 3: More, then they can order the book. But I do
- 34:28Speaker 3: have a digital download that's dropping on June first, and

- 35:13Speaker 3: will find it really freeing because it's not your typical
- 35:18Speaker 3: weight loss book. And it's gonna be I believe because
- 35:23Speaker 3: I prayed about it, something that's gonna be powerful. And
- 35:26Speaker 3: the title of it is called more than a number,

- 36:59Speaker 2: share with those that are tuned in them.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Yes, Hi, My name is an author of two books.
- 37:10Speaker 3: The name My first book is Wini above and that's
- 37:14Speaker 3: about my brother who died in the least custody in
- 37:16Speaker 3: two thousand being because Shackle and the fucking book is
- 37:22Speaker 3: about the infosum magnetic Michael Away frequency called Halana syndrome
- 37:26Speaker 3: that Obama c Havana Sydom when he was accused of
- 37:28Speaker 3: out of sixteen and Biden and signed into law called
- 37:31Speaker 3: the Havana Actress twenty twenty one, but only the military people.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Let me tell you a little bit about myself. Well,
- 37:39Speaker 3: the things that I love to do that I can
- 37:41Speaker 3: do with the most is writing books, and I love
- 37:43Speaker 3: doing my podcast called Win the Vow Break because is
- 37:45Speaker 3: also after I bo going to the Vow Break. And
- 37:49Speaker 3: also like reading, writing, coloring exercise in Viking traveling, which
- 37:54Speaker 3: I'm doing right now. I'm out of town. I'll actually
- 37:57Speaker 3: be picking up the trash of my bad who've got
- 37:59Speaker 3: a police custody because we adapted a highways flying for him,
- 38:03Speaker 3: and in order to keep it up every year, we
- 38:05Speaker 3: have to pick up trash with the twice a year.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Don't could be kept up for free. So today I
- 38:10Speaker 3: had to do my civil duty. I took up trash
- 38:12Speaker 3: for him in his honor. So I'm out of down
- 38:17Speaker 3: onthing else about me. I'm five to three. I'm goout
- 38:21Speaker 3: one hundred and fifty pounds. And my favorite foods are
- 38:25Speaker 3: steak and eggs. I love eggs, you little eggs, and
- 38:29Speaker 3: down the supermarket, I said a little eggs. Okay. So
- 38:35Speaker 3: definitely said I want to get back to this my book.
- 38:37Speaker 3: We said above break and then we'll talk about a
- 38:39Speaker 3: little bit about me. And hid the twenty site with
- 38:42Speaker 3: my second book. Yeah. My brother Pray call him Ray
- 38:47Speaker 3: because they was never It was a Collie town where
- 38:50Speaker 3: I met right now with the boss Virginia, with the
- 38:53Speaker 3: sublus western part of Virginia. And he was in a
- 38:58Speaker 3: hotel and he was years of help. He hung out
- 39:02Speaker 3: with the knight he had. He was a little taking
- 39:04Speaker 3: and he did a little cocaine was a.
- 39:07Speaker 4: Zero point one ounce like four hourss of wie.
- 39:10Speaker 3: And when the systems went, his rousing what he called
- 39:14Speaker 3: my only one.
- 39:15Speaker 4: Three times for help, and they finally located his room.
- 39:19Speaker 3: And when he located his room, officers three officers, a
- 39:22Speaker 3: female officer. He was black at the time, but you
- 39:24Speaker 3: couldn't tell about a video unless you unless you're black,
- 39:28Speaker 3: and even with black hair looks like one no matter
- 39:30Speaker 3: how light your skin is. When you got a certain
- 39:32Speaker 3: type of coil of hair, you know that he's black.
- 39:36Speaker 3: That's the only one you could tell that she was
- 39:37Speaker 3: black from the video. The two other white male officers,
- 39:41Speaker 3: and they asked him to take a handcuff him because
- 39:44Speaker 3: he called not one one three times. And when he
- 39:47Speaker 3: finally continue in help, he want them to take him
- 39:49Speaker 3: to the hospital. And when he finally reached his room
- 39:54Speaker 3: and help, his hands behind his back, and he asked
- 39:58Speaker 3: him the faker, if they could take him to the hospital,
- 40:02Speaker 3: could get his medical evaluation, and he said yeah, sure.
- 40:05Speaker 3: So when they took him to the hotel to get
- 40:06Speaker 3: a medical evaluation, he was pulling old Clary harder decided
- 40:10Speaker 3: that the Havana sent the plane fright. But he just
- 40:14Speaker 3: was totally ramping up inside of going and making us
- 40:17Speaker 3: feel all the tree with every stuff. The people asked
- 40:20Speaker 3: him to fight. When he was in the hotel. He
- 40:22Speaker 3: said he'd killed people and put them the side of
- 40:24Speaker 3: the roof and the super I mean the Super eight motel.
- 40:28Speaker 3: If you're on the first floor, there's no roof. You
- 40:31Speaker 3: got four on the floor the fire of the four
- 40:33Speaker 3: of the w but there's no people he could have killed.
- 40:35Speaker 3: But those are the thought that he was going to
- 40:38Speaker 3: when he was on went to hospital. So he fills
- 40:39Speaker 3: out the door door. The buck are then to just
- 40:42Speaker 3: one of the police.
- 40:43Speaker 4: Balls open the door for him.
- 40:45Speaker 3: He ran into this flying glass doors. They didn't because
- 40:47Speaker 3: only personnel nursing and hospital personnel could go through those
- 40:51Speaker 3: glass doors with an id bay that you have to
- 40:54Speaker 3: put the overtop. Marquis or the chief had will open
- 40:58Speaker 3: up the glass door to you. So if they weren't
- 41:00Speaker 3: for again with his hands with the tears coup behind
- 41:03Speaker 3: his back and he keeped the glass door until back
- 41:06Speaker 3: for when he felt backwards, he hit his head on
- 41:09Speaker 3: the side of the hospital door. Was caused him the bleed.
- 41:12Speaker 3: So they're calling him the bleed. They start paying him
- 41:15Speaker 3: twenty times to front of the hospital.
- 41:18Speaker 4: Younger.
- 41:18Speaker 3: What I said earlier in my story, he called nine
- 41:21Speaker 3: one one time, this is America that we're talking about country.
- 41:27Speaker 4: This is not a foreign land.
- 41:28Speaker 3: It's not on some island. This is the United States
- 41:31Speaker 3: of America that we're talking about. We're talking about healthcare
- 41:34Speaker 3: where they have freeom care and turned the country, and
- 41:38Speaker 3: not only free healthcare. The murgency room was next door.
- 41:41Speaker 3: All he had to do was taken to the murdency room.
- 41:43Speaker 3: There was three square cards, three twenty hundreds, and three
- 41:46Speaker 3: star cards. And the one way that tastes in the
- 41:49Speaker 3: twenty seventeen times, according to the FBI, or was the
- 41:53Speaker 3: woman who looked like she's white, but she's black. And
- 41:56Speaker 3: the crazy thing about her story is that my cousin
- 42:00Speaker 3: is married to her cousin, but in the way she's
- 42:03Speaker 3: married to the family. And we live in a small
- 42:06Speaker 3: town where slattery came from a people married to marriage family.
- 42:10Speaker 3: First cousin married first cousins, and they all married the
- 42:13Speaker 3: people who kill your old cousins in police custody. So
- 42:18Speaker 3: when my brother was ramping up with his anxiety, that
- 42:21Speaker 3: made me start connecting the ducts. When I wrote my
- 42:23Speaker 3: second book on hitting the playing site Ya, he died
- 42:27Speaker 3: at the House of the Things when they paid him
- 42:29Speaker 3: twenty times. They also put them back into the squad
- 42:32Speaker 3: car with the krongs and his chest was an ona round.
- 42:35Speaker 3: They try to pull him out of his chest without
- 42:38Speaker 3: a nurse or a doctor there, and he's supposed to
- 42:40Speaker 3: have a position on site, and we're gonna take those
- 42:43Speaker 3: songs out of the life. Jest, you don't jerk him
- 42:46Speaker 3: out of his chest before one of the white officers
- 42:48Speaker 3: jerked it out of his depths and looked in their leading.
- 42:51Speaker 3: And when we made it the odds of the fort,
- 42:53Speaker 3: he had those three black birthmarks in his chests. When
- 42:56Speaker 3: they opened his steps up with our tops, I'm said,
- 42:59Speaker 3: now sick that it is. And so with that.
- 43:04Speaker 5: And I had to read all of this, and I
- 43:05Speaker 5: had to.
- 43:06Speaker 3: Look at the video. If you go on YouTube and
- 43:08Speaker 3: you look at Linwood stand.
- 43:09Speaker 4: Which with phille l I n w O T lambord
- 43:13Speaker 4: l A f e e r T, you.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Can see the few video with CNN with ours the
- 43:18Speaker 3: video and that's a police show that the police show
- 43:21Speaker 3: is showing you that there are fun fred cops out
- 43:23Speaker 3: here and there's some bad cops out here. And we
- 43:25Speaker 3: all know that with the frequency, is hard to distinguish
- 43:28Speaker 3: between the two which is being bad, which is being good.
- 43:31Speaker 3: So when I realized that what was happening about me
- 43:35Speaker 3: happened to my brother because the frequency burnt my hair out,
- 43:37Speaker 3: and Obama called a Ranto center and by the time
- 43:40Speaker 3: the loss for those who are in the military empathy.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Then give you a backdrop of that. When Obama went
- 43:47Speaker 3: to Chief one twenty fifteen, my brothers act just out
- 43:49Speaker 3: of thirteen. It's best fine. That is our attorney for
- 43:54Speaker 3: my brother's case. That's how we ended up on seeing

- 49:34Speaker 2: she is definitely doing amazing things on this network. Her
- 49:40Speaker 2: journey has not been one of resilience, and her testimony
- 49:45Speaker 2: is one that it's definitely needed to be shared, y'all.
- 49:51Speaker 2: It's sharing it as well as keeping us aware of
- 49:55Speaker 2: things that we as black and brown people need to

- 50:46Speaker 2: have thought I would be doing any of the stuff
- 50:50Speaker 2: that I'm doing, Because I tell you, I was not
- 50:55Speaker 2: someone that would even thought I was worthy enough to
- 50:59Speaker 2: even talk about the Word of God, yet alone to
- 51:02Speaker 2: get on and want to share it with somebody, or
- 51:06Speaker 2: even do half of the stuff that I'm going. Never
- 51:07Speaker 2: thought that I would be an author. Yet I have
- 51:10Speaker 2: over one hundred and I think it's set one hundred
- 51:12Speaker 2: and forty five when I uploaded my last book on today.
- 51:16Speaker 2: So who would have thought this little country girl from
- 51:19Speaker 2: leveland South Carolina would have the opportunity to do half
- 51:25Speaker 2: of the stuff that I'm doing. So I'm just grateful,
- 51:28Speaker 2: and I'm grateful for the amazing people that allow me
- 51:32Speaker 2: to be a part of their lives and allow me
- 51:34Speaker 2: to share them with my platform. So thank you, guys.

- 52:05Speaker 2: apart as we go into our final thoughts, what does
- 52:10Speaker 2: being set apart means to you guys? And we're gonna
- 52:14Speaker 2: start with when first, and then we're gonna go backwards
- 52:19Speaker 2: ending with Lache. So we're gonna have Sister Gwen share
- 52:24Speaker 2: what does it mean to be set apart? Then Sister Sunshine,
- 52:29Speaker 2: and then Lache and then I'm gonna share, and then
- 52:32Speaker 2: we're gonna go into engosy time. So, Sister Gwen, what
- 52:37Speaker 2: does that word set apart means to you?
- 52:41Speaker 3: And set apart from your rest along with Queen and
- 52:52Speaker 3: other queens out here, also means apart from all is
- 53:02Speaker 3: I don't take our stories that you could be told

- 54:40Speaker 3: first said that, the word chosen talk into my mind.
- 54:46Speaker 3: You know, I remember are saying that people used to
- 54:50Speaker 3: say that the most talented people are actually in the
- 54:53Speaker 3: grain yard, and a part is talking in your purpose.
- 55:00Speaker 3: It's like it's like walking to your colleague and not
- 55:04Speaker 3: being afraid. But even if you're afraid, you're doing it
- 55:08Speaker 3: aFrame the chosen. What's the saying about the children A few?
- 55:15Speaker 4: Uh?
