- 0:07Speaker 1: This is Chuck's Cantina podcast where anything and everything is
- 0:13Speaker 1: up for discussion. And now here's your barman, Chuck O'Donnell,
- 0:19Speaker 1: you sound.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Perfect, actually her Mike's very good, very very mindful, very demure, nice,
- 0:25Speaker 2: nice nice. Your makeathhone is very mindful, very might as
- 0:31Speaker 2: well get into it, very demure. This might just be
- 0:35Speaker 2: the best podcast.
- 0:36Speaker 3: This might just be anoka enough gonna say for certain,
- 0:40Speaker 3: but I'm gonna say this possibly quite might be. Episode
- 0:44Speaker 3: one seventy nine could be the greatest, the best episode
- 0:49Speaker 3: of Chuck's Cantina to dates, all the size, all the
- 0:53Speaker 3: jokes that are coming in.
- 0:56Speaker 4: We express our own opinions.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Does anyone can in this cantina? This is going on
- 1:01Speaker 2: for quite a fucking one.
- 1:03Speaker 5: That feels much much less fun to do the voice.
- 1:08Speaker 6: Now, I'm not gonna lie here.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Here here's what I say.
- 1:11Speaker 2: If Patrick knows I am not a political person od patron.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Oh but welcome text Cantina. Here's what I'll say. Okay,
- 1:22Speaker 2: we obviously have not talked about the presidential election.
- 1:26Speaker 4: On this podcast.
- 1:27Speaker 2: We have we have, well no, but hold on, we've
- 1:31Speaker 2: made quite a few jokes about it. We have done
- 1:34Speaker 2: quite a few personations. Well, I mean you have to.
- 1:36Speaker 2: We have done quite a few personations on it, whether
- 1:41Speaker 2: you are four or against. Who won the presidential election.
- 1:46Speaker 2: The results came in Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, the
- 1:49Speaker 2: sun came up. Obviously, we'll see what happens in the
- 1:52Speaker 2: coming years.
- 1:55Speaker 4: This is why I always say to.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Anyone, whatever you support or whatever you think, just check
- 2:03Speaker 2: with your local And I understand the whole the scarcity
- 2:06Speaker 2: of like whatever side you want, like how affect and national.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I understand that, but whatever, but when it comes to you,
- 2:10Speaker 2: just make sure also you look at the whole local thing.
- 2:14Speaker 2: And again I'm not I'm gonna say it's on here,
- 2:16Speaker 2: probably shouldn't say I'm gonay this's on here. This is
- 2:18Speaker 2: the first election I voted in ever.
- 2:21Speaker 6: Really, huh.
- 2:22Speaker 4: I hate politics, but.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Obviously this election that is a little crazy.
- 2:31Speaker 4: But you know, there's the.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Thing that again, this is one of those things you
- 2:34Speaker 2: gotta take a step back and like think about it too,
- 2:36Speaker 2: or like take it like and actually look at the stuff.
- 2:38Speaker 4: There's other things you can vote.
- 2:39Speaker 5: On, absolutely, I mean, like alone in Indiana had so much,
- 2:44Speaker 5: so much shit on it, right, so many people to
- 2:47Speaker 5: vote for, so many policies to vote for.
- 2:49Speaker 2: We had in the area I'm in. I won't say where.
- 2:51Speaker 2: We had three major policies to vote for. Shockingly, they
- 2:55Speaker 2: all got approved. I'm not not surprised, but like it's
- 3:00Speaker 2: one of those things where like I'm reading this and
- 3:02Speaker 2: I'm like, and here's the thing, Like I'm not like,
- 3:03Speaker 2: I'm not you know, I'm not like the Gilmore Girls
- 3:05Speaker 2: where I'm going to the town halls each fucking Tuesday night,
- 3:07Speaker 2: although I should really should, because if it's anything like
- 3:09Speaker 2: the gill More Girls, that's ben some fun ship. But
- 3:11Speaker 2: it's not gonna be anything like that. It's like a much
- 3:13Speaker 2: of old people just yelling at each other anyway. People
- 3:17Speaker 2: only people were gonna get that reference if you were.
- 3:18Speaker 2: By the way, it's fall season, trying to fucking Gilmore
- 3:21Speaker 2: Girls before this sever comes.
- 3:22Speaker 7: Anyway, it's a great fight. It's a great show anyway.
- 3:26Speaker 7: It's running out, running out, All the leaves are on
- 3:30Speaker 7: the ground. Do it watch the Gilmore Girls. Do we
- 3:32Speaker 7: get coffee before the before the snow tends all the
- 3:35Speaker 7: even though snow is a huge part of the show,
- 3:37Speaker 7: but it's.
- 3:37Speaker 2: A fall show anyway. Yeah, there were three majors, like
- 3:42Speaker 2: there are three major things on there, and I'm like,
- 3:44Speaker 2: oh shit, you know what I should read about this?
- 3:48Speaker 2: And of course then I'm like trying to read about
- 3:49Speaker 2: the other people like got my ball at like for
- 3:51Speaker 2: that local ship, I'm like and I'm like, huh wait,
- 3:53Speaker 2: I've heard that name before, Like oh hey, I've never
- 3:55Speaker 2: heard that name before, or or huh what is this
- 3:59Speaker 2: fun category? Because you're the thing. If you don't fill
- 4:04Speaker 2: out your bout all the way, he gets rejected well
- 4:08Speaker 2: for the most part. But and can I just say
- 4:11Speaker 2: one thing, but yes, this is my first time I voted.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I'm proud of it that I did it. I've always
- 4:19Speaker 2: been a person I don't know if I ever talked
- 4:20Speaker 2: to you about this. I've always been a person that like,
- 4:23Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say throw back.
- 4:24Speaker 4: In people's face.
- 4:24Speaker 2: And people say, you have the right to vote, and
- 4:26Speaker 2: it's like, no, but I also have the right not
- 4:27Speaker 2: to vote. This election, obviously, I felt I had to
- 4:31Speaker 2: say my piece when I voted. I'm proud of what
- 4:34Speaker 2: I did, but I'm also proud of the things I
- 4:37Speaker 2: voted for that affect my my community.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Unity right and again, like I agree with you, that's
- 4:44Speaker 5: on a on a you know, on a bigger scale.
- 4:47Speaker 6: That's that's what affects your life.
- 4:49Speaker 5: More right, more so, I mean, it depends on the
- 4:53Speaker 5: type of person you are, and you know, unfortunately we
- 4:56Speaker 5: live in a day and age where you know, it
- 4:59Speaker 5: depends on what gender you are. But uh yeah, I
- 5:03Speaker 5: mean that's the kind of stuff that matters more so
- 5:07Speaker 5: and again over the recent years, I don't blame you
- 5:09Speaker 5: for not wanting to vote, to not to not want
- 5:12Speaker 5: to invest in politics, because it's been a fucking circus, right,
- 5:17Speaker 5: you know what I mean. It's become unfortunately, like you
- 5:21Speaker 5: don't have to get into all the MAGA bullshit, but
- 5:25Speaker 5: like it's become just a popularity contest the whole.
- 5:30Speaker 2: It's the old phrase, who booked this ship? It's like
- 5:32Speaker 2: eventually we wrote some of the ship that's gone to
- 5:33Speaker 2: the last twelve years.
- 5:36Speaker 5: Say that, because like, isn't Linda McMahon. Wasn't she part
- 5:39Speaker 5: of his Donald Trump's cabinet at one point?
- 5:41Speaker 6: Oh yeah, yeah, weird.
- 5:46Speaker 8: Al But besides, why did she tell me running the
- 5:52Speaker 8: Why did you tell me.
- 5:57Speaker 2: The real main event of the United States of America
- 5:59Speaker 2: would be Linda McMahon versus Nancy Pelosi Anyway.
- 6:03Speaker 8: Why don't you tell me why Hulk Hogan's endorsing the
- 6:05Speaker 8: Republican Canada. Did you.
- 6:09Speaker 2: See the video? Not the one from one of Milwaukee
- 6:12Speaker 2: redid the promo? The other one where he could rip.
- 6:14Speaker 6: The shirt in the in Madison Square Garden.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Wasn't MSG, because I know I know MSG.
- 6:20Speaker 5: But there was one before that, like it was his
- 6:22Speaker 5: first appearance where he the.
- 6:23Speaker 2: First appearance, I believe it was in Milwaukee, which I
- 6:25Speaker 2: was like, damn it, that's not far from me.
- 6:27Speaker 8: I gotta I gotta go on and see a whole
- 6:29Speaker 8: on host more time, dude.
- 6:33Speaker 2: But no, yeah, I think it was MSG. He could
- 6:34Speaker 2: have ripped the shirt. I think he eventually got it.
- 6:39Speaker 6: But too many of those American whatever the beers.
- 6:42Speaker 2: The American loggers.
- 6:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm you.
- 6:44Speaker 5: Know, here's something that name not taken, by the way,
- 6:46Speaker 5: I don't know what's that. How has nobody had a
- 6:49Speaker 5: beer called the American Loggy?
- 6:51Speaker 4: I guarantee you two things.
- 6:53Speaker 2: One there probably has been, or two there probably is,
- 6:56Speaker 2: but it's probably like a lower entity. You I mean,
- 7:01Speaker 2: like Okay for example, like Okay, you know, like Burger Kane.
- 7:03Speaker 2: You know there's actually a different Burger Kane, I.
- 7:06Speaker 9: Had no idea.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's like it's a one. It's no, but
- 7:09Speaker 2: it's one restaurant and Burger Kane allegedly has tried to
- 7:12Speaker 2: sue them and get rid of the name, and to
- 7:14Speaker 2: which the courts are like, actually they were around before you,
- 7:18Speaker 2: so actually.
- 7:19Speaker 5: If they had enough money, they'd be suing you away.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so they're just like fine whatever, But anyway, point being,
- 7:28Speaker 2: as a famous storytober once said, move al on, but
- 7:32Speaker 2: fair the sun will come out tomorrow. Obviously, if you
- 7:36Speaker 2: have your if you agree, even disagree. Obviously as Americans,
- 7:40Speaker 2: you can voice your opinions for those outside the United
- 7:42Speaker 2: States who are probably going to sitting in their pop
- 7:44Speaker 2: on their couch with their popparre going this ship's fucking wild.
- 7:48Speaker 5: Yes, one of those fucking crazy people that were betting
- 7:50Speaker 5: on the election.
- 7:51Speaker 2: That to me like, okay, and that's I know we're
- 7:54Speaker 2: trying to a little but that's a crazy me. You
- 7:56Speaker 2: actually really quick for the funny thing bench not is
- 7:58Speaker 2: it Ben Shapiro, not not the not the political commentator.
- 8:03Speaker 2: I think it's his name is Ben or No, Mark Shapiro,
- 8:05Speaker 2: one of the head execs of T T O pretty
- 8:07Speaker 2: much came out and said, yeah, we're not gonna allow
- 8:09Speaker 2: people to bet on wrestling like obviously like draft Kings,
- 8:12Speaker 2: like like oh yeah you can bet, like what move's
- 8:14Speaker 2: gonna happen, but like, yeah, we're not gonna like like
- 8:16Speaker 2: really promote it other than that way. Yeah, it's fucking
- 8:20Speaker 2: wild that people can bet. Like and here's the thing,
- 8:22Speaker 2: and gambling obviously like gambling if you have gambling diction
- 8:24Speaker 2: please obviously you know, see console that stuff. But like
- 8:27Speaker 2: I mean, like you can bet gamble on n anything now,
- 8:30Speaker 2: Like I mean, one of the most the biggest bets
- 8:32Speaker 2: all year would would you take take a gander what
- 8:35Speaker 2: it is?
- 8:36Speaker 6: If it's gonna rain today?
- 8:39Speaker 2: What will the color of the gatorade be at the
- 8:41Speaker 2: Super Bowl?
- 8:42Speaker 4: What?
- 8:43Speaker 2: That is one of the most popular things to bet
- 8:46Speaker 2: on all year round.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Lasers.
- 8:48Speaker 2: I swear to got anyone who's not in the States
- 8:49Speaker 2: or just does no gambling not look it up. It
- 8:51Speaker 2: is insane. And actually I don't know if it was
- 8:53Speaker 2: this year last Super Bowl, it was one one the
- 8:55Speaker 2: Chiefs won. In the last two years they've they had
- 8:57Speaker 2: a two they they're on a two pee right now.
- 9:00Speaker 2: One of the two years they won, they missed the
- 9:02Speaker 2: shot of the gatoryd yes, so people are freaking So
- 9:08Speaker 2: people are freaking out what because because they literally get
- 9:12Speaker 2: they show Andy Reid he soaked on live television. He's soaked,
- 9:15Speaker 2: So people like, what's the game? What's the color? And
- 9:17Speaker 2: of course, uh, sources are posting what it was, but
- 9:20Speaker 2: the other place like, no, it was purple. And then
- 9:22Speaker 2: like and there's this huge fucking uproar of like what
- 9:25Speaker 2: was the fucking color? And like the NFL literally had
- 9:27Speaker 2: to release a video and I think it was like
- 9:29Speaker 2: hours later of the gatorade because they missed it. But
- 9:33Speaker 2: because there he bombarded with I need an official video
- 9:37Speaker 2: of what the fuck the color of the gatorade was.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Oh no, dude, if I swear again, it's like one
- 9:42Speaker 2: of those things of like like like like gambling is insane.
- 9:45Speaker 2: But and the household and again reminder, house always wins.
- 9:47Speaker 2: I don't care if you walk out with like three
- 9:49Speaker 2: thousand dollars or five million dollars. Somehow the house won. Anyway,
- 9:54Speaker 2: not really moving along, Yes, the sun will come out tomorrow.
- 9:57Speaker 2: But here's the one that I want to say about
- 9:59Speaker 2: the election, especially United States. We have obviously this thing
- 10:03Speaker 2: called freedmom speech. We have the right to voice our opinions.
- 10:06Speaker 2: We have the right to say, we have righty to
- 10:07Speaker 2: tell someone to go fuck themselves. Patrick, you have the
- 10:09Speaker 2: right to tell me to go fuck myself now that
- 10:11Speaker 2: you're going to or I'm going to too, because with
- 10:15Speaker 2: all the craziness that's gone on, and I've said this,
- 10:19Speaker 2: and I said and it's it's kind of comparison, but
- 10:21Speaker 2: it's not. I say, I'm part of the two worst
- 10:23Speaker 2: fandoms at all of culture, that being wrestling and Star
- 10:26Speaker 2: Wars in kind of the same thing. It's like, look,
- 10:28Speaker 2: we can express our opinions, we can save this things,
- 10:29Speaker 2: we can say how we feel, but the end of
- 10:31Speaker 2: the day, we don't have to literally get to the
- 10:32Speaker 2: point where we're going to get into fights or it's
- 10:35Speaker 2: literally like you know, like this awful toxicity where and
- 10:38Speaker 2: I was and here's the thing too, hindsight twenty twenty,
- 10:40Speaker 2: Like I remember I once heard someone say like, oh
- 10:43Speaker 2: my god, I never I never, I've never seen so
- 10:45Speaker 2: much hate. You should never be this bad, to which
- 10:47Speaker 2: I said, No, there wasn't just much. There wasn't just
- 10:50Speaker 2: so many ways for you to see it. There's a
- 10:52Speaker 2: drastic difference.
- 10:53Speaker 6: So many ways for people to talk about it.
- 10:54Speaker 2: So many ways people report it too. So it's just
- 10:56Speaker 2: like again, it's one of those things like the whole
- 10:57Speaker 2: I remember, be kind, rewinded, just let's just hate, just
- 11:00Speaker 2: be kind, be kind, And I'm I'm gonna and we'll
- 11:05Speaker 2: get to I'm gonna tell you about my experience. I
- 11:07Speaker 2: went to go visit our friend Drew in Virginia, and
- 11:10Speaker 2: I gotta tell you about this experience we had with
- 11:12Speaker 2: the good people of the DC area, which had hapen
- 11:15Speaker 2: to be a week before the election. I know last
- 11:17Speaker 2: week it was, I know that was that. That wasn't
- 11:20Speaker 2: the last week's episode was with the good people Kansas.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Scott from the Hating Hat the Hayter Barcon podcast, please
- 11:26Speaker 2: make you guys go.
- 11:27Speaker 6: Check that out before we again. Yeah, definitely checked them out.
- 11:31Speaker 2: But you were saying, but like.
- 11:32Speaker 5: Oddly enough d C voted blue. It didn't matter obviously,
- 11:36Speaker 5: but uh, I wonder if the good people of Washington's
- 11:40Speaker 5: APTC saw what happened last election and we were like,
- 11:45Speaker 5: let's run it again. Let's see what happens again. January sixth,
- 11:49Speaker 5: Last time Crazy.
- 11:52Speaker 6: The sequel crazy.
- 11:54Speaker 5: I'm not saying that that because that obviously like a
- 11:56Speaker 5: scare tactic. They wouldn't just vote read because they wanted
- 11:59Speaker 5: to have something like that, but they definitely were we
- 12:02Speaker 5: rolling some dice. At least, you know, before you get
- 12:06Speaker 5: into your story, Chuck, at least you've voted in a
- 12:09Speaker 5: state that went blue for me. I essentially flushed my
- 12:15Speaker 5: vote down the toilet. So if I ever toilets, well,
- 12:22Speaker 5: fucking Indiana went red, like immediately they called it. It
- 12:25Speaker 5: was one of the first states they called for. I
- 12:27Speaker 5: didn't watch it old Orange forty seven. But uh no,
- 12:33Speaker 5: I I kind of you want to sorry, Eventually, I
- 12:43Speaker 5: want to move to a state that's going to be blue.
- 12:45Speaker 5: So at least when I waste my vote, I'm wasting
- 12:46Speaker 5: it in the right direction anyway, quote unquote that's my opinion,
- 12:52Speaker 5: the right direction. It really depends on the candidate. But
- 12:55Speaker 5: go on, put a nail in that coffee.
- 12:59Speaker 6: The end of the day, it was.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Said, well and look, and before we put the nail
- 13:03Speaker 5: on a coffin, I'm gonna take a reach my hand
- 13:06Speaker 5: home sh it away.
- 13:08Speaker 6: You talked about freedom of speech.
- 13:10Speaker 5: I think that's what people outside of the economy, outside
- 13:14Speaker 5: of like abortion rights.
- 13:16Speaker 6: And you know, economic everything.
- 13:19Speaker 5: I think that's what people are really scared about because
- 13:21Speaker 5: of a lot of the rhetoric of like I'm going
- 13:23Speaker 5: to jail my political opponents, they should be locked up,
- 13:27Speaker 5: they should be shot whatever. You know, that's really unnerving
- 13:33Speaker 5: for people that look into it and see and have
- 13:37Speaker 5: a historical mindset of where that could go. Even the
- 13:40Speaker 5: idea of America as for Americans, like that is rhetoric
- 13:44Speaker 5: that's been used in other contexts historically to you know,
- 13:49Speaker 5: really propagate uh, you know, political movements that are looked
- 13:55Speaker 5: on pretty poorly by the vast majority of people in
- 13:58Speaker 5: this world for good reason, they have been used to
- 14:01Speaker 5: justify some really heinous things. So, you know, I think
- 14:05Speaker 5: that the next four years are going to be fairly
- 14:10Speaker 5: tense for people. I mean, there might be some there
- 14:14Speaker 5: might be some benefits we see sure, like with economic.
- 14:18Speaker 6: Recovery and things like that, but you.
- 14:20Speaker 5: Know, there's gonna be there's a lot of people that
- 14:24Speaker 5: might be listening even but a lot of people in
- 14:27Speaker 5: our country that are really scared, and for good reasons,
- 14:31Speaker 5: so their canteenas support goes out to them. But again,
- 14:36Speaker 5: we're all in this boat together. Some of us are
- 14:41Speaker 5: just possibly gonna feel our feet getting a little wetter
- 14:45Speaker 5: sooner than others.
- 14:46Speaker 6: So that's all. That's all.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Band together, Let's be kind and if you have to
- 14:50Speaker 5: have a tough conversation with somebody and your family, just
- 14:53Speaker 5: know that like they're not playing with all the information,
- 14:57Speaker 5: you know what I mean, and the really is important
- 15:00Speaker 5: to do your own research.
- 15:03Speaker 4: It's like there's there's no expression.
- 15:04Speaker 2: I can't I can't think exactay it goes, which is
- 15:06Speaker 2: probably not go way to say there's no expression, but essentially,
- 15:07Speaker 2: you know, like there's there are many things, like we
- 15:09Speaker 2: said at dinner table to them should not be religion
- 15:11Speaker 2: or politics.
- 15:12Speaker 6: And that's fair.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I obviously people can obviously express their opinions on it.
- 15:16Speaker 2: But it's just like here, here's here's a perfect example. Okay,
- 15:21Speaker 2: we obviously have Turkey Day coming up, Thanksgiving.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Ladies and gentlemen, gobble gobble, and.
- 15:30Speaker 2: I am not and you and Patrick, sure as hell
- 15:32Speaker 2: knows he could ask my mom should home that I
- 15:34Speaker 2: have said this too. There have been times I've been
- 15:36Speaker 2: at family functions and things like politics come up, and
- 15:40Speaker 2: I will be the first guy to stand up and
- 15:41Speaker 2: say cut that ship out. There's no fucking point to
- 15:45Speaker 2: talk about it. What's not and it's not me saying
- 15:48Speaker 2: what's done is done bit to me saying not here,
- 15:50Speaker 2: not when all the kids are here. Now, let's like
- 15:52Speaker 2: like essentially like you know, catch me outside, like take
- 15:54Speaker 2: that take that ship outside.
- 15:56Speaker 5: There is no reason, especially if you can't, if you
- 15:59Speaker 5: can't remain so which like especially over the last four years,
- 16:02Speaker 5: never has And again like my family, my dad, I
- 16:05Speaker 5: don't know if he's ever had a civil conversation. It's
- 16:10Speaker 5: just something he's definitely mellowed out a ton since the
- 16:14Speaker 5: grandkids have come around. And I guess that's just you know,
- 16:18Speaker 5: almost a fucking trope at this point.
- 16:22Speaker 2: But uh, but you're gonna build it out.
- 16:24Speaker 6: It's tough.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sorry about fifty minutes in here. What are
- 16:28Speaker 2: you drinking?
- 16:30Speaker 6: Well, I had a drinking the orange kool aid.
- 16:36Speaker 5: Well, I did have some nice ginger peach tumor tea
- 16:39Speaker 5: with some honey. Oh, you know, this time of year.
- 16:42Speaker 6: Through it's a little dry. But I've got a nice,
- 16:46Speaker 6: hardy glass.
- 16:46Speaker 5: Of you know, your finest high quality h too well decent,
- 16:50Speaker 5: I said glass, But it's more of like a bottle.
- 16:52Speaker 5: It's one of those aluminum refellable bottles. Yeah, so I've
- 16:56Speaker 5: been I've been hoarding these things.
- 16:59Speaker 2: So I've been talking it on here a little bit.
- 17:01Speaker 2: How I've been trying to avoid plastics and stuff like that.
- 17:03Speaker 2: But here I am drinking of a plastic.
- 17:05Speaker 6: Bottle I am drinking.
- 17:08Speaker 2: I am drinking a Prime Oh which.
- 17:11Speaker 4: Fla cherry freeze.
- 17:13Speaker 6: How do you think of that?
- 17:15Speaker 4: Now, here's what I'm gonna saying.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Obviously, like you know, as Drew comes, as our shag
- 17:19Speaker 2: Zilla has said on here, you know, obviously don't say sponsor.
- 17:21Speaker 2: They're not paying, which I hear, but obviously they're a subject.
- 17:23Speaker 2: We'll talk about him. Here's what I'll saying about Prime. Okay,
- 17:29Speaker 2: I have yet to have a flavor of theirs that
- 17:32Speaker 2: I don't like.
- 17:33Speaker 6: Yeah, care.
- 17:35Speaker 2: And as I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I
- 17:38Speaker 2: went to the doctor and other than he says, joke.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Your healthy. Just lose them a couple of pounds.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Thank you, doc. I've always been very I've been the
- 17:51Speaker 2: last couple years. You obviously get older, try something from
- 17:53Speaker 2: like the high sugar drinks. And obviously I do like
- 17:57Speaker 2: to have, you know, like a little coke every once
- 17:59Speaker 2: in a while. I mean McDonald coke and Sprite. I'm sorry, man,
- 18:01Speaker 2: those are those are my two? Like not Duran, I
- 18:03Speaker 2: don't care like those are those are automatically and whatever.
- 18:06Speaker 4: I'm here what dynam on?
- 18:08Speaker 2: But anyway, these are low sugar, and I get to
- 18:12Speaker 2: have one that tastes like that doesn't taste good. They
- 18:15Speaker 2: all taste really good. Yeah, and I'm not here's for example.
- 18:21Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say I say I haven't talked about
- 18:23Speaker 2: where I worked. Let's just say, whoever, someone in our
- 18:27Speaker 2: company was smart. We recently launched a certain something that
- 18:31Speaker 2: is not obviously in the hydration department or field, if
- 18:36Speaker 2: you will, and they were clever and said, hey, how
- 18:39Speaker 2: about we buy everyone a bottle of yellow lemonade prime.
- 18:44Speaker 4: To go with our to go with our launch, which
- 18:46Speaker 4: was kind of funny.
- 18:47Speaker 2: But I'm not really a lemonade guy.
- 18:52Speaker 4: I'm not gonna lie to you.
- 18:54Speaker 2: It fucking slapped.
- 18:56Speaker 8: It's good.
- 18:57Speaker 5: The first time I saw it, I was like, oh,
- 18:58Speaker 5: let me try it.
- 18:59Speaker 6: Oh my god.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:01Speaker 2: I have yet to have one. I mean I've I've
- 19:03Speaker 2: had one. I've had a couple where I'm like, okay,
- 19:04Speaker 2: like this one better than the other. But you know,
- 19:07Speaker 2: I think they're very good, like and again like and
- 19:10Speaker 2: you know, there's all here's the one thing I gotta
- 19:12Speaker 2: give I love, Like when companies, how would I describe primes?
- 19:17Speaker 2: Like social media? So okay, Like they're like Wendy's when
- 19:21Speaker 2: he's not afraid to call when they go yeah, but
- 19:23Speaker 2: like okay, like logan Paul and I see this on
- 19:26Speaker 2: and I see this on like on TikTok stuff like that.
- 19:29Speaker 2: People will post shit about Prime. Mm hm, oh it's bad.
- 19:34Speaker 2: There's this, there's that. Obviously he's probably had, he's probably
- 19:38Speaker 2: got lawyers and people that work there to help him
- 19:39Speaker 2: with the video content all this stuff. He'll post like
- 19:41Speaker 2: a three minute video essentially saying why this person, by
- 19:44Speaker 2: the way, is full of shit, not just saying it
- 19:46Speaker 2: just to say he pulls like he shows documents, text
- 19:49Speaker 2: messages like all this ship and it's just like the
- 19:52Speaker 2: more you're reading it, like like and like and the
- 19:54Speaker 2: wrestling fan and me, I'm like, dude, stop this man,
- 19:57Speaker 2: Like you're going babyface here, and by the way, you're
- 19:59Speaker 2: not gonna be a good baby. Everyone hates you, like yeah, yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 2: but no, it's just it's funny. It's good. It's funny
- 20:07Speaker 2: content because it's like he's like because like he's just
- 20:10Speaker 2: like yeah, like he's like, all right, I'm gonna wait
- 20:11Speaker 2: till they get enough clout with all this ship. They're
- 20:13Speaker 2: posting a but our company and then he posts like
- 20:15Speaker 2: a two minute video and destroys the person. Now aways
- 20:19Speaker 2: just saying like here's why you're wrong, and it's just
- 20:23Speaker 2: it's like, that's that's why I love. That's why I'm saying, like,
- 20:25Speaker 2: that's why I love. That's why one loves Wendy's because
- 20:28Speaker 2: they literally like will just go after everyone on their
- 20:32Speaker 2: social media and just it's just the most hilarious ship.
- 20:35Speaker 6: So have you been to a Wendy's recently?
- 20:37Speaker 2: I have not been to a Wendy's in a long time.
- 20:40Speaker 6: Though the price is way yep.
- 20:42Speaker 4: If I'm not mistaken, well with me, I'm kidding no.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I mean obviously a lot of things went up, but
- 20:45Speaker 2: like I mean the Krabby Patty thing, like I mean that,
- 20:48Speaker 2: I mean like there's not there is a Wendy's near me,
- 20:50Speaker 2: but it's not like I can get there in five
- 20:52Speaker 2: minutes kind of drive. But when the crabby thing happened,
- 20:55Speaker 2: I mean, the drive through was just like like like Okay,
- 20:59Speaker 2: let me say this. Krabby the Krabby Petty off a
- 21:04Speaker 2: major highway by my house. It's right off there. There
- 21:08Speaker 2: were literally cars stuck in a four way median because
- 21:12Speaker 2: they're all.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Trying to get in the wing.
- 21:14Speaker 6: It's a fucking Hamburger.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Guys, don't fucking Hamburger with with a tenier shittier version
- 21:20Speaker 2: of a thousand island dressing like a super formula. No,
- 21:23Speaker 2: it's not a fucking secret formula. It's it's like it's
- 21:25Speaker 2: like the Big Mac, Like, what what's the big suddressing?
- 21:27Speaker 2: So it sounds dressing.
- 21:29Speaker 4: They probably put some chili flakes in there.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Some bullshit.
- 21:32Speaker 6: Ye I don't even know if they did that.
- 21:33Speaker 5: I think it's just just go rob at McDonald's get
- 21:36Speaker 5: off their max sauce.
- 21:38Speaker 6: Speaking of poop, I'm gonna go take ship for real.
- 21:40Speaker 9: Oh yeah, Jesus, hello there held.
- 21:52Speaker 6: Well, I feel fucking refreshed.
- 21:55Speaker 4: It's it's the sound more than refreshed. What do you
- 21:58Speaker 4: mean nothing?
- 22:02Speaker 6: I don't gotta tell you man, I talk about it.
- 22:06Speaker 6: I gotta tell you man.
- 22:08Speaker 5: Living with a Benglic girl Indian girl who insists on
- 22:13Speaker 5: installing a bed day, It's changed my life, notably my asshole.
- 22:24Speaker 6: In the podcast to you better know Americans. We are
- 22:28Speaker 6: behind on a lot of things.
- 22:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna leave you going to the bathroom one, but
- 22:32Speaker 2: I'm gonna leave them the day one.
- 22:33Speaker 5: Here, dude, it's gonna be a hard shift if people
- 22:37Speaker 5: just g if you cut talking about.
- 22:41Speaker 6: No man for me?
- 22:42Speaker 2: Two more ship.
- 22:44Speaker 5: Literally the day, get you one. It's easy to install,
- 22:49Speaker 5: super easy, and it changes your fucking life.
- 22:52Speaker 6: Man.
- 22:53Speaker 5: You get up in there, spray the ship out and
- 22:55Speaker 5: use a little toilet paper to wrap it up.
- 22:58Speaker 6: Try it out.
- 22:59Speaker 4: What the fucking what the fuck am I gonna title
- 23:00Speaker 4: this episode?
- 23:02Speaker 5: I don't know ship America is in the toilet.
- 23:06Speaker 2: America's shitter anyway.
- 23:14Speaker 6: Oh, talking about your recent travels?
- 23:15Speaker 2: What about recent travels? Yes, so that wasn't ship well
- 23:19Speaker 2: except for a certain part. So yes. I went to
- 23:23Speaker 2: go visit Shagzilla in Virginia, myself in arg Joe, who's
- 23:27Speaker 2: been here a couple of times as well, and our
- 23:28Speaker 2: friend Trevor. Actually you've never met Trevor unfortunately you guys,
- 23:31Speaker 2: you guys like he's a great guy. Anyway, we were
- 23:35Speaker 2: do Virginia. I talked about on the podcast when og
- 23:38Speaker 2: Patri was on a couple of weeks ago how the
- 23:41Speaker 2: game for the Bears and the Commanders got flexed, which
- 23:44Speaker 2: means that they're like, oh, hey, both these teams are
- 23:46Speaker 2: really good. We're gonna put We're gonna put a better
- 23:49Speaker 2: time slots. So the whole nace you can see it
- 23:51Speaker 2: because obviously in certain regions it's blacked out.
- 23:54Speaker 4: So trip was good.
- 23:56Speaker 2: I ate some phenomenal food. I'm not lying to you.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I had the best pizza I've had outside of the
- 24:01Speaker 2: state of Illinois. No bullshit, good drinks, good vibes, good people,
- 24:08Speaker 2: good food, the whole nine yards.
- 24:10Speaker 4: We went to the game on Sunday.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Okay, it's about two hour drive from Richmond to the
- 24:19Speaker 2: It isn't Maryland technically, it's the Washington Commanders, right, It's
- 24:24Speaker 2: like right over the border of DC. So we drove by,
- 24:26Speaker 2: we drove over a bridge. I saw the White House
- 24:28Speaker 2: in the Washington Monum for maybe like five seconds anyway,
- 24:33Speaker 2: from very far anyway, and if you obviously, if you
- 24:37Speaker 2: know about the Bear's Commanders game, we.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Know exactly where I'm going with it story.
- 24:39Speaker 6: Oh yeah, So.
- 24:42Speaker 4: Unlike Chicago and the Soldier Field, it's literally in the
- 24:45Speaker 4: middle of fucking nowhere.
- 24:47Speaker 2: It's Marina. No, I'm not Jiddio. We get off the
- 24:50Speaker 2: highway and I see some like houses. I see like
- 24:53Speaker 2: a couple like little like warehouses things. Okay, let me
- 24:55Speaker 2: we have I mean, obviously we're getting closed with tramsy
- 24:57Speaker 2: and backed up.
- 24:58Speaker 4: We get off the highway and make a left.
- 24:59Speaker 2: There's all these tree everywhere, and then we drive like
- 25:02Speaker 2: another like little like office building. Like I'm not like
- 25:04Speaker 2: like if you drive Throughkenosha, they you know, talk like
- 25:07Speaker 2: you're driving a something like oh here's a little tiny
- 25:08Speaker 2: office building. Oh here's a little warehouse like that that
- 25:11Speaker 2: tiny that out of nowhere. Drive by his little warehouse
- 25:14Speaker 2: or little office building, a couple of trees, and I said, oh,
- 25:17Speaker 2: there's just a giant fucking stadium in the middle of no,
- 25:21Speaker 2: in the middle of the parking lot.
- 25:23Speaker 1: My god.
- 25:24Speaker 4: We started laughing like like like everyone like everyone talks
- 25:28Speaker 4: like a who like green Bay.
- 25:29Speaker 2: It's like, oh, it's too old nowhere. No, green Bay
- 25:31Speaker 2: is an actual town. There's houses, restaurants, business, the whole.
- 25:34Speaker 4: Nope, this is just all right.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I'm gonna dig I'm gonna I'm gonna do all these
- 25:37Speaker 2: trees here. I'm gonna put a circle in the middle
- 25:40Speaker 2: of East Trees. I'm gonna put a stadium right in
- 25:42Speaker 2: the smack gambling. That's literally what this arena was. Anyway,
- 25:47Speaker 2: I'll get to the fucking shitty part in a second.
- 25:50Speaker 2: I just gotta say this, because we're talking about good
- 25:52Speaker 2: people and stuff like that. Everyone in Washington, all these
- 25:56Speaker 2: Commander fans. That's the name of their team. Although some
- 25:59Speaker 2: people call it you used to be called I'm not
- 26:00Speaker 2: gonna say that because I want certain people.
- 26:02Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, they're.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Trying to get it back and it's got overwhelming, overwhelming
- 26:10Speaker 2: positive petition. But anyway, all these people were like, I
- 26:14Speaker 2: got a few Chicago people and I had this conversation
- 26:17Speaker 2: I'm not showing you. I saw kind of like a
- 26:19Speaker 2: dozen times. Why are you people so fucking nice?
- 26:25Speaker 4: And I'm like, what do you mean?
- 26:26Speaker 2: And they're like like like and they're like, look, you're
- 26:30Speaker 2: not like Dallas fans, because I obviously Washington's one of
- 26:32Speaker 2: ray remibles is Dallas and plus also I hate most
- 26:35Speaker 2: most of every other fucking team in the world hates
- 26:37Speaker 2: Dallas Cowboys.
- 26:38Speaker 4: And they're like, you guys are so nice like that.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I told a Bear fan like fuck you, and he's
- 26:43Speaker 2: like and he and the one guy says he literally
- 26:44Speaker 2: said fuck you and then offered me a shot. Like
- 26:50Speaker 2: that's how we do it. I'm like, that's how we
- 26:52Speaker 2: do it. I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, literally,
- 26:54Speaker 2: it's like this, like, hey, we get a fight, next
- 26:56Speaker 2: thing you up.
- 26:56Speaker 4: After the fight, we're both in a bar having a
- 26:58Speaker 4: beer together.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Like that's why we do it. So it was a
- 27:02Speaker 2: great time. We sat and give you might. I want
- 27:05Speaker 2: to full disclosure, we bought these We bought these seats
- 27:08Speaker 2: way before the season actually started. So at the time
- 27:14Speaker 2: the Bears, before this season started, they had the first
- 27:16Speaker 2: row all pick and the commanders of the Second World
- 27:18Speaker 2: we're all pick the Bears. There's different circumstances of how
- 27:20Speaker 2: they got that pick. They were still in the top ten,
- 27:22Speaker 2: but essentially what that means is, uh, you fucking suck.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Here's here's an early picked to good a good player,
- 27:29Speaker 2: to hopefully change your change your.
- 27:31Speaker 4: Ways and your woes.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Anyway, so we got these tickets and we got uh
- 27:35Speaker 2: we were thirteen rows behind the in the end zone,
- 27:39Speaker 2: so we're pretty damn close to the field and I've
- 27:41Speaker 2: never been to not even just a pro football game,
- 27:43Speaker 2: any football game.
- 27:44Speaker 4: You obviously see this giant stay on.
- 27:46Speaker 2: TV, eighty five thousand people, ninety thousand people, seventy five like,
- 27:50Speaker 2: obviously all these people and stuff like that.
- 27:53Speaker 4: It's actually not that big.
- 27:55Speaker 2: It's not.
- 27:56Speaker 4: It really isn't.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Once you're actually like in the seats and we were
- 27:59Speaker 2: about you can see everything almost from anywhere. So anyway,
- 28:02Speaker 2: we're in this end zone, and uh, the game was
- 28:06Speaker 2: what it was. The game was pretty shit on both sides.
- 28:11Speaker 2: And then the Bears scored with the minute left. Nice,
- 28:15Speaker 2: they took the lead. We're all fucking jumping with joy.
- 28:20Speaker 2: We're I mean, I am like small, like my mouth
- 28:23Speaker 2: was hurt. My face is hurting, my mouth, my face
- 28:25Speaker 2: is hurting so much. How hard I was smiling because
- 28:29Speaker 2: we played like dog shit. Wait wait, like I was
- 28:31Speaker 2: on the field, but I mean I probably could have
- 28:33Speaker 2: done a better block in some of those guys. Anyway,
- 28:35Speaker 2: oh my god, armchair quarterback anyway, doing this, and then
- 28:40Speaker 2: the Commanders and by the way, the end zone I'm
- 28:42Speaker 2: in is the opposite the end zone the Bears is
- 28:44Speaker 2: scored in. So the Commanders are now driving down towards us.
- 28:49Speaker 2: They get a thirteen yard player is a seventeen yards
- 28:52Speaker 2: that's done there fucking happy because the coach so went
- 28:54Speaker 2: to call a time out that's besides the point. And
- 28:56Speaker 2: then the next play happens, and while the quarterback on
- 29:00Speaker 2: the Commanders is running for his life, one of the
- 29:02Speaker 2: defensive backs is talking shit to the fans to the
- 29:06Speaker 2: point where even we're like, fucking turn around.
- 29:10Speaker 6: Oh my god.
- 29:12Speaker 2: So the guy gets into the play, the quarter that
- 29:16Speaker 2: throws the ball a good fifty something yards. It happened
- 29:20Speaker 2: right in front of me, the tip right into Noah Brown.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Yes I know his name, Noah Brown's arms. Thus one
- 29:29Speaker 2: of the loudest reactions. And I'm not joking, the biggest,
- 29:33Speaker 2: the worst loss I've ever experienced in my life happened
- 29:37Speaker 2: right before my eyes. And I'm not joking. But I
- 29:40Speaker 2: tell you, Drew, I mean we talked to you. Actually
- 29:42Speaker 2: we gave him shit. He's a Packer fan, but like
- 29:44Speaker 2: he was, he was a good sport. He had a
- 29:45Speaker 2: good time. He was freaking out because he's like, we
- 29:48Speaker 2: just saw I Hail Mary right in front of our eyes.
- 29:51Speaker 2: And as a tip myself, Joe and Trevor, I'm not joking.
- 29:54Speaker 2: The three of us were speechless and it wasn't like
- 29:56Speaker 2: what we were trying to see who we talk for us.
- 29:58Speaker 2: We physically could not speak.
- 30:01Speaker 6: It was start breaking.
- 30:03Speaker 2: There's a video and I don't know, I don't know
- 30:07Speaker 2: who posted it. I can't remember the guy's name. This
- 30:09Speaker 2: is individual. There was literally right next to us. He's
- 30:11Speaker 2: a bare season together. It was a great, great guy.
- 30:13Speaker 2: He posted the video where he got his reaction and
- 30:15Speaker 2: he got the play literally right next to this guy,
- 30:18Speaker 2: and like my dad saw it. He said to me
- 30:20Speaker 2: and he's like, is this the guy? I'm like yah,
- 30:22Speaker 2: And I literally had my focus. He sent it to
- 30:23Speaker 2: me and shit like that, and it like is the
- 30:29Speaker 2: video doesn't do it justice of just how close they
- 30:31Speaker 2: actually looked, And it was I've you and I have
- 30:36Speaker 2: experienced a lot with sports shows, like we've experienced a
- 30:40Speaker 2: lot of woes and highs. That was one of the
- 30:43Speaker 2: lowest lows I've ever experienced.
- 30:45Speaker 5: But compared to that, and no wonder the election, I
- 30:48Speaker 5: didn't hit you so hard.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Yeah, because I had I had a really far but anyway,
- 30:56Speaker 2: beside the point I want to get to and kind
- 30:58Speaker 2: of going back to Washington after that, the all the
- 31:03Speaker 2: fans there could not have been any nicer.
- 31:05Speaker 4: Obviously during the game talking ship. We're all talking ship,
- 31:08Speaker 4: that's all we do. We're all talking shit. Actually, this
- 31:11Speaker 4: Commander fan who was making fun of Chicago people. Once
- 31:14Speaker 4: a beartt scored, he fucking left. So jokes on you,
- 31:17Speaker 4: dick weed, you missed the touchdown. Not true fan, if
- 31:20Speaker 4: you don't stay from from the first whistle. Yeah he missed.
- 31:24Speaker 2: He missed. Probably the biggest place ever happened in that stadium.
- 31:27Speaker 2: And this was an older guy too, and actually the
- 31:29Speaker 2: finny thing too. I literally, I'm not joking. It was
- 31:31Speaker 2: so random. We saw like we saw a cowboy fan,
- 31:34Speaker 2: which of course this guy walked it and he got
- 31:35Speaker 2: boot out of the building. I sat next to uh
- 31:38Speaker 2: and I mean, if you have me listening, I told
- 31:39Speaker 2: him the show Greg, nice to meet you. There was
- 31:41Speaker 2: some guy next to meet some older gentleman wearing all
- 31:43Speaker 2: Detroit Lions gear. That was fucking Random's enough fans everywhere.
- 31:51Speaker 2: It's like like, hey, like there are my team's not
- 31:52Speaker 2: playing here, but I got tickets. I'll go away, you
- 31:54Speaker 2: know what I mean. So anyway, yeah, they could not
- 31:58Speaker 2: have been nicer. And this is the funny thing. So
- 32:02Speaker 2: I won't talk about the crow ride home shags. We'll
- 32:04Speaker 2: just say, uh, a little too much of drink. Anyway,
- 32:07Speaker 2: this is the funniest part. The NFL change are scheduling
- 32:12Speaker 2: a couple years go to seventeen games. It's been weird
- 32:15Speaker 2: how they schedule shipping now, it's been very fucking weird.
- 32:18Speaker 2: So this year they played in Washington. Okay, last year
- 32:22Speaker 2: they played in Washington the day after the three or
- 32:27Speaker 2: we all took the day off because the whole thing
- 32:29Speaker 2: fucked up our stairs. Well, we all the fly out
- 32:31Speaker 2: Tuesday because it was insane amount of money to fly
- 32:33Speaker 2: back home on a Monday, So we were fly back Tuesday.
- 32:36Speaker 2: That Monday. Joe, Trevor and I are still in a
- 32:44Speaker 2: very shitty mood.
- 32:47Speaker 4: Not shitty, but like in a not.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Like at least we're not like, you know, like let's
- 32:50Speaker 2: get going kind of especially og Og Patron knows me.
- 32:55Speaker 2: I am a guy where if you're on time, you're late.
- 32:58Speaker 2: We were supposed to be on a brunch the time
- 33:01Speaker 2: we're supposed to leave, I hadn't even showered yet. Now
- 33:06Speaker 2: it wasn't just me that was being slow. I want
- 33:08Speaker 2: to make that clear. So anyway, the funny thing was.
- 33:11Speaker 2: So we're in the car, we're driving to brunch. And
- 33:13Speaker 2: this is why I'm saying good, This why I'm saying
- 33:15Speaker 2: Richmond was a beauty. It was beautiful. It was a
- 33:17Speaker 2: beautiful place, really nice people. So we're driving to this restaurant. Okay,
- 33:22Speaker 2: and we had restaurant or we had restaurant. We had
- 33:25Speaker 2: brunch with you know, uh, Drew and so his friends
- 33:28Speaker 2: out there, his new girlfriend, she's very nice, Okatie, nice
- 33:30Speaker 2: to meet you. And Trevor was wearing a bear's hat.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Now I'm gonna say this, this is like an old
- 33:38Speaker 2: school kind of diner. Like it's literally like it's lily
- 33:40Speaker 2: Got like the fifties, like lights and all that shit
- 33:42Speaker 2: kind of like like that's literally their theme. Obviously we're
- 33:46Speaker 2: there on a Monday, early afternoon, so it's pretty much
- 33:49Speaker 2: just you know, a bunch of kids in their twenties
- 33:51Speaker 2: and one guy in his thirties.
- 33:53Speaker 4: And I had to say that now, no, there's other
- 33:57Speaker 4: person that are in their thirties.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Was I wasn't the only one? And uh, a bunch
- 34:01Speaker 2: of you know, older people. So we're having a good
- 34:06Speaker 2: time and like we're not trying to be rude, like
- 34:08Speaker 2: at some points we're just laughing. You know, if you're
- 34:10Speaker 2: at the far corner and you're just like a person
- 34:12Speaker 2: trying to enjoy your you know, your early bird launch,
- 34:14Speaker 2: you might get a little annoying. I'm not gonna lie.
- 34:16Speaker 2: And uh, all of a sudden, our waiter comes up
- 34:21Speaker 2: and goes, uh, guys, and I think there were nine of.
- 34:24Speaker 4: Us or ten of us. They said, uh, someone took
- 34:28Speaker 4: a liberty and paid your check.
- 34:32Speaker 6: No ship.
- 34:32Speaker 4: You know, my first reaction was fuck a bot more
- 34:40Speaker 4: excuse me, Jesus ron pipe.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Anyway, and so we're convinced that someone that, but we're
- 34:48Speaker 2: convinced that someone saw Trevor's hat and did as a
- 34:50Speaker 2: whole like they felt bad.
- 34:53Speaker 4: The point all going back to.
- 34:54Speaker 2: How nice point going back to where the weird schedule
- 34:56Speaker 2: with the Bears and the Watchington Commanders.
- 34:58Speaker 4: They played there for the last two years.
- 35:00Speaker 2: So we're driving, uh the night this night before I
- 35:03Speaker 2: don't way back, we're winding way back home from the game.
- 35:05Speaker 2: We're kind of like or that this is that night.
- 35:07Speaker 2: We're kind of we're we're a better moon.
- 35:09Speaker 6: Now.
- 35:09Speaker 2: We went we went uh not go karting, Actually we
- 35:12Speaker 2: went go karting. Uh, we went mini golfing all this stuff,
- 35:15Speaker 2: and then we also went to uh we did top golf.
- 35:17Speaker 2: It was a really fun day. We're driving back there
- 35:20Speaker 2: back to Drew's house, and of course I think Trevor
- 35:23Speaker 2: make that coming is like, you know, like shit, like
- 35:24Speaker 2: we gotta like, we gotta do this. It's gonna be
- 35:26Speaker 2: an annual boys trip, like we got this every year,
- 35:28Speaker 2: Like what we're gonna do next year? And I just
- 35:30Speaker 2: so have to look at the Bear schedule and for
- 35:33Speaker 2: some fucking reason, for three straight fucking years, they're gonna
- 35:37Speaker 2: be in Washington again next fucking year, to which Trevor's like,
- 35:42Speaker 2: holy shit, we're doing this again next year, to which
- 35:44Speaker 2: my response is, why why are we doing this to ourselves?
- 35:50Speaker 2: I don't wanna fucking do this again. Out with the guys.
- 35:53Speaker 2: What happened? Because I am not shating you. That was
- 35:55Speaker 2: the That was like I'm not joking, I says, top
- 35:57Speaker 2: five worst feelings have ever fell in my life.
- 36:00Speaker 4: It was that bad.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Now Here's I'm a football fanatic, and I can admit
- 36:05Speaker 2: what I saw was badass.
- 36:07Speaker 4: That was cool to see right before my eyes.
- 36:10Speaker 2: It just had to be against my all time favorite team.
- 36:15Speaker 6: Yeah. That that dampens the kind of kind of.
- 36:18Speaker 4: Dampens the mood a little bit.
- 36:20Speaker 2: But I will say, yeah, know, and I just gotta
- 36:22Speaker 2: give it cheers, and I shut out the people of
- 36:25Speaker 2: the Richmond, Virginia in the Washington DC area, or the
- 36:27Speaker 2: commanders Maryland or whatever. They only want to call it
- 36:30Speaker 2: super nice, super cordial. Yeah, seriously, like I could not.
- 36:35Speaker 2: I have been at some Bear games at Soldier Field,
- 36:41Speaker 2: and I'm not joking. I have dealt with some assholes.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Of course, even when we lose. I have dealt with
- 36:48Speaker 2: some assholes. Like one time, like some guys, like I
- 36:51Speaker 2: was at a Giant They played the Giants and we
- 36:53Speaker 2: clabbed them. It was the end of the season. Both
- 36:55Speaker 2: teams were ass and we clobbered himself. And I'm in
- 36:58Speaker 2: the bathroom and some guy just go and some guy
- 37:00Speaker 2: just goes fuck you. And I'm like, I'm like, what
- 37:04Speaker 2: the fuck like me talking about you?
- 37:08Speaker 6: Listen right now, I'm trying.
- 37:09Speaker 2: To get piss.
- 37:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 37:12Speaker 2: No, I like the nicest people, and like what we
- 37:15Speaker 2: didn't just interact with like one side fans. We interact
- 37:17Speaker 2: with fans in the in the stadium, are seats, the
- 37:20Speaker 2: parking lot. Hell, even just walking around like could not
- 37:23Speaker 2: have been nicer. Obviously they're in a bet room because
- 37:25Speaker 2: they're actually playing really well right now the guy who
- 37:27Speaker 2: owner because the last owner was an asshole. That's not alleged,
- 37:29Speaker 2: look it up. The guy was a dick.
- 37:31Speaker 4: But like, yeah, it's all good vibes. So but yeah,
- 37:34Speaker 4: that was that was the Richmond trip. It was all
- 37:38Speaker 4: fine and dandy.
- 37:38Speaker 2: It was a great Probably do it again next year,
- 37:42Speaker 2: but uh yeah, I.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Don't want to.
- 37:44Speaker 9: I don't.
- 37:44Speaker 2: I mean, I'll go to the game, but I swear
- 37:46Speaker 2: to god, there's a Hail Mary attempt again. I'm fucking
- 37:48Speaker 2: I'm not even the stick.
- 37:49Speaker 6: I'm fucking lea leave it.
- 37:51Speaker 2: I'm fucking I'm pulling out DiCaprio, but instead of I'm
- 37:53Speaker 2: not fucking.
- 37:54Speaker 10: Leaving reverse DiCaprio, I'm pulling over verse the cap or Yes,
- 38:02Speaker 10: oh but yes, that was that was the highlight.
- 38:05Speaker 2: But anyway, I know we would we kind of been
- 38:07Speaker 2: going into between, like different things. What's going on with you?
- 38:10Speaker 2: Anything crazy? Exciting?
- 38:12Speaker 5: Ah, you know, choking away at the master's degree. Yeah,
- 38:17Speaker 5: using the day's getting up in there, you know what
- 38:19Speaker 5: I'm saying, getting all of it out, you know what
- 38:23Speaker 5: I mean?
- 38:23Speaker 6: It's a good feeling.
- 38:25Speaker 8: No.
- 38:25Speaker 5: Recently I went and saw the family for my nephew
- 38:29Speaker 5: second birthday party. It's always good. It was cars themed
- 38:33Speaker 5: and everybody was shilling out lightning queens and ship and
- 38:37Speaker 5: car tracks and all that. Got to hold my younger
- 38:40Speaker 5: nephew for the first time.
- 38:41Speaker 4: I believe.
- 38:43Speaker 5: He's he's a hefty boy. He's gonna be a big kid,
- 38:49Speaker 5: you know. And surprisingly, all the people that were there,
- 38:52Speaker 5: you know, family, extended family, no repeat gifts, no repeat cars.
- 38:55Speaker 5: I was really worried about it, but I did end
- 38:58Speaker 5: up getting the same bag from Target that somebody else did.
- 39:02Speaker 6: I got a little nervous and.
- 39:03Speaker 5: Same exact card as well, so it was a little funny,
- 39:08Speaker 5: but you know what, there was a good time.
- 39:10Speaker 6: A little guy loved his gifts. He's uh, you know,
- 39:15Speaker 6: wishing him well.
- 39:16Speaker 5: He caught a little cold from his little brother, so
- 39:19Speaker 5: he's he's not feeling one, but he's getting back to it.
- 39:23Speaker 5: I'm excited to see everybody again for Turkey Day. Let's
- 39:28Speaker 5: see Kat is doing great. New cat we went before.
- 39:32Speaker 4: Did we decide on the name to forgot?
- 39:34Speaker 8: We did?
- 39:34Speaker 5: We did decide on the name. I has been I've
- 39:36Speaker 5: been reserving it for the podcast. Original name was Princess.
- 39:42Speaker 5: Had to change it. I'm not going to be thirty
- 39:47Speaker 5: one and yelling Princess around my host. Princess, come get
- 39:51Speaker 5: your dinner, get off, get off the fucking biting me,
- 39:56Speaker 5: stop scratching everything. No, so we went with Pebble Pebble.
- 40:00Speaker 5: That was my girlfriend's idea. We looked up shades of
- 40:04Speaker 5: gray and pebble was close and she's starting to respond
- 40:07Speaker 5: to it. I ended up getting fleas, uh somehow awesome way.
- 40:12Speaker 5: The original owner is like, none of my other cats
- 40:14Speaker 5: have fleas. Were like, okay, go, yeah because you don't.
- 40:19Speaker 5: Just because you don't check doesn't mean they don't have
- 40:21Speaker 5: fleas anyway. But we got that taken care of, got
- 40:24Speaker 5: that deal dealt with. I got that dealt with and
- 40:28Speaker 5: taking it to the vet.
- 40:29Speaker 6: Later this month.
- 40:30Speaker 9: So olling all good.
- 40:33Speaker 5: She's a little bundle of joy. She's losing her kittting
- 40:37Speaker 5: features and getting her cat bob.
- 40:39Speaker 6: So yeah, she's grown. She's grown. She's bigger than when
- 40:43Speaker 6: we got her, for sure.
- 40:44Speaker 5: It's not been that long.
- 40:47Speaker 6: Let's see what else is going going on.
- 40:50Speaker 5: Oh, work's been going good. Work's been going fine, driving
- 40:55Speaker 5: a lot listening to a lot of good audiobooks, running
- 40:58Speaker 5: out of audiobook out on Spotify. Right as I'm about
- 41:03Speaker 5: to finish each one of these books, I've noticed a
- 41:04Speaker 5: trend and I've got to wait over two weeks to
- 41:06Speaker 5: finish the book, so just enough time to actually forget
- 41:09Speaker 5: what the fuck is happening. Halloween was fun. Went to
- 41:14Speaker 5: a little get together. So my my girlfriend is as
- 41:19Speaker 5: I mentioned once already in this podcast, but she's from
- 41:22Speaker 5: West Bengal and she knows a lot of other Bengales
- 41:26Speaker 5: uh people that go to her college, her university. So
- 41:32Speaker 5: we had a little get together, had some good food.
- 41:34Speaker 6: I got to, you know, hang on with some new people.
- 41:39Speaker 5: Let's see the other close friends in town had their
- 41:42Speaker 5: their first baby recently, so gonna go visit them soon.
- 41:46Speaker 5: Trying to run down the list here, you know, all
- 41:50Speaker 5: in all, all in all, just yeah, just man, just
- 41:53Speaker 5: chilling watching some shows here and there. Rogerster and I
- 41:59Speaker 5: just finished this Korean cooking show called Culinary Cuisine War
- 42:06Speaker 5: or some shit like that, Culinary Class War, And basically
- 42:11Speaker 5: the concept is they took one hundred people and the
- 42:14Speaker 5: twenty of them were world renowned chefs from across the
- 42:18Speaker 5: across the globe. Well no, not across the cub from Korea,
- 42:22Speaker 5: but a lot of them had international influence. There's a
- 42:24Speaker 5: guy from Italy, guy Edward Lee, who's one iron chef.
- 42:28Speaker 5: He's Korean American. But then the other eighty were all
- 42:32Speaker 5: these you know, owners of small restaurants or there was
- 42:36Speaker 5: a lunchel eighty. Basically there was you know, all these
- 42:39Speaker 5: different people and they had them compete and it was
- 42:41Speaker 5: a really intense cooking show. Really great to learn about
- 42:45Speaker 5: Korean cuisine, but also just really great cooking crazy challenges too,
- 42:52Speaker 5: But it was just phenomenal. You know, we like we
- 42:55Speaker 5: like cooking shows. I mean, I don't know if you
- 42:58Speaker 5: dip your toe in that water at all, but every
- 43:01Speaker 5: now and then, well this was basically it felt like
- 43:05Speaker 5: squid Games, but for a food competition show.
- 43:09Speaker 6: It was intense.
- 43:11Speaker 5: And yeah, one of the last challenges was called Infinite
- 43:16Speaker 5: Cooking Hell, which basically it was they had one challenge
- 43:20Speaker 5: where the winner of that challenge got one of the
- 43:22Speaker 5: final spots, and then the other seven I think it
- 43:24Speaker 5: was seven or eight people had to make dish after
- 43:29Speaker 5: dish after dish after dish. They ended up cooking for
- 43:31Speaker 5: almost three hours straight. Each round a person was getting eliminated.
- 43:36Speaker 5: But the main ingredient that they lowered from the ceiling
- 43:39Speaker 5: of this this production, this production area was just this
- 43:44Speaker 5: giant palette of tofu, just like slabs upon slabs of tofu.
- 43:50Speaker 5: And imagine like having a one make anything on a
- 43:56Speaker 5: high standard level, but using tofu again and again and
- 43:59Speaker 5: again trying to come up with different ways to make it.
- 44:02Speaker 5: And uh, no spoilers, but uh the finale was phenomenal,
- 44:07Speaker 5: and uh yeah, it was great.
- 44:09Speaker 6: It was great.
- 44:13Speaker 5: But I think tonight, if we have time, or if not,
- 44:17Speaker 5: then tomorrow night or the weekend, we're gonna end up
- 44:20Speaker 5: checking out that movie that came out recently, Late Night
- 44:23Speaker 5: with the Devil. Didn't end up seeing a lot of
- 44:26Speaker 5: really good scary flicks this Halloween season, but really really
- 44:31Speaker 5: excited for that one streaming on Hulu.
- 44:35Speaker 6: Shout out Hulu.
- 44:36Speaker 5: No, I'm just kidding, but we did watch that movie,
- 44:41Speaker 5: Don't Move, that's on Netflix, and it.
- 44:45Speaker 6: Was super cheesy.
- 44:47Speaker 5: Almost turned it off a couple of times, but it
- 44:50Speaker 5: has it has a satisfying ending overall.
- 44:54Speaker 6: A little mid not gonna lie, a little mid mid
- 44:57Speaker 6: hope higher hopes for Late Night the Devil.
- 45:01Speaker 5: It's got the guy from you know he was in
- 45:05Speaker 5: Dark Knight. Uh, he was in Suicide Squad. I'm gonna
- 45:10Speaker 5: just google his name really quick. Suicide Squad, late night
- 45:14Speaker 5: with the Devil.
- 45:15Speaker 6: He was poking out man.
- 45:18Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I could not.
- 45:20Speaker 2: I could never get his name right.
- 45:21Speaker 4: No, I've heard David.
- 45:22Speaker 5: That's Smelki and yes, great, great, little great actor got
- 45:30Speaker 5: his start in a little little movie called The Dark Knight.
- 45:34Speaker 6: That was his first That was his first movie. I
- 45:35Speaker 6: don't know if you know that.
- 45:36Speaker 2: You remember his name in the movie, No shift Thomas.
- 45:43Speaker 6: Yeah, way to break into the scene Dark Knight.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Fucking fucking Batan or whatever. And there is one thing
- 45:50Speaker 2: I want to know, never say his name. It's the
- 45:53Speaker 2: only scene then when he gets tackled at the fucking funeral,
- 46:00Speaker 2: there is one they want to talk to you about. Actually,
- 46:03Speaker 2: I think we can say this well, I mean it's
- 46:04Speaker 2: kind of timely obviously.
- 46:08Speaker 8: You know me.
- 46:08Speaker 4: I'm a Star Wars junkie.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Uh did you see the news today.
- 46:13Speaker 6: I think I've heard that.
- 46:15Speaker 4: Oh that a Star Wars. So okay, I'm going to
- 46:21Speaker 4: do an episode someday about the.
- 46:26Speaker 8: Wait.
- 46:26Speaker 2: I'm probably gonna wait till after this year because Skeleton
- 46:28Speaker 2: Crew is about to come out, and I'm very psyched
- 46:30Speaker 2: about that. I mean, I don't know if I wan't
- 46:32Speaker 2: see the trail. I you didn't see the trailer. It's
- 46:33Speaker 2: literally it literally looks like Goonies but Star Wars, which
- 46:36Speaker 2: I'm like, what the what?
- 46:38Speaker 1: What?
- 46:38Speaker 2: Wait?
- 46:38Speaker 4: How could you fuck that up?
- 46:40Speaker 6: Like come on you baby ruths.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Yeah, baby Ruth that was my nickname to buke Ayowa.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Don't ask why anyway?
- 46:50Speaker 6: Did they have to do with the bidet?
- 46:52Speaker 2: No, it's just some one guy thought I looked like
- 46:54Speaker 2: the fucking monster.
- 46:56Speaker 6: That's fucked that that guy.
- 47:00Speaker 2: But I'm like, no, not at all anyway, Oh.
- 47:05Speaker 6: Hate me?
- 47:06Speaker 4: What do the guy? The guy was just he was
- 47:08Speaker 4: the toorist for just giving like being a dick, like
- 47:11Speaker 4: in a funny way.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Anyway, that's pretty brutal. I'm it's like one of like
- 47:19Speaker 2: I'm not saying it is it has It didn't sick because.
- 47:21Speaker 4: I no one really calls me TV Ruth anymore, but.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Like it was like one of those ones was like,
- 47:25Speaker 2: uh no, it's a reach bud, a little bit of
- 47:28Speaker 2: like if I was fuggly looking, yeah, sure, but now
- 47:29Speaker 2: this new haircut is Beard look anyway, So I'm gonna
- 47:34Speaker 2: do an episode someday about I had a conversation now
- 47:37Speaker 2: with Joe's me in the podcast, my other buddy, Joe,
- 47:39Speaker 2: one of my childhood friends that you've met Joe a
- 47:41Speaker 2: couple of times, and uh, there's obviously a huge divide
- 47:47Speaker 2: between disneype people think about how Disney's handled Star Wars.
- 47:51Speaker 2: So today it was announced and this has not been
- 47:53Speaker 2: it for my Lucas or Star Wars, but I'm gonna
- 47:55Speaker 2: say it is right now whatever. A major trade pretty
- 47:57Speaker 2: much releases that they pretty much have concrete sources to say, hey, look,
- 48:01Speaker 2: it's pretty much gonna be announced sooner and like and coincidentally,
- 48:04Speaker 2: there's a Disney event tomorrow in but Aziel, and uh,
- 48:11Speaker 2: they essentially announced. And this is the same about the article.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Like you'll read things where it's like, oh, here's what's happening,
- 48:16Speaker 2: here's the here's the here's the leak. This article goes
- 48:19Speaker 2: in details saying like we can't confirm it's episode ten
- 48:23Speaker 2: through twelve, but essentially they said a new trilogy is
- 48:27Speaker 2: coming out and it's more likely ten.
- 48:30Speaker 4: Through twelve, but they can't.
- 48:33Speaker 5: It would make sense, I know, I mean, but people
- 48:37Speaker 5: like this is negative two to zero.
- 48:39Speaker 6: You can't really I mean, technically.
- 48:40Speaker 2: They did three, four five and then the Earth right, yeah,
- 48:43Speaker 2: then they did one too, or they did four five
- 48:45Speaker 2: six and then they did one two three.
- 48:46Speaker 5: Yeah, So I mean I would it would be dope
- 48:49Speaker 5: to kind of go even farther back in time.
- 48:51Speaker 2: Well that's what they kind of with They tried to
- 48:53Speaker 2: do with Acolyte, but that did not work well. I mean,
- 48:55Speaker 2: I'm I'm not to admit I enjoyed Acolyte, but there
- 48:59Speaker 2: was there was a lot wrong with it.
- 49:00Speaker 4: I could be the first to admit that shocking.
- 49:03Speaker 2: Charlie said something negative about Star Wars critique. This is
- 49:08Speaker 2: my cannon event.
- 49:09Speaker 6: Anyway, Yeah, I wasn't good. I didn't like it.
- 49:13Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say it wasn't good, but like there
- 49:14Speaker 2: was some parton I was like, I mean, they had Lightsabers, right, Oh,
- 49:18Speaker 2: I had a funckout a Lightsabers was great. The fights,
- 49:20Speaker 2: the choreography, the fight scenes, badass music, badass other than
- 49:24Speaker 2: like the one weird voice scene that was fucking weird. Anyway,
- 49:27Speaker 2: So they announced three movies and the reason I want
- 49:30Speaker 2: to bring this up, Okay, the guy they hired to
- 49:34Speaker 2: write this.
- 49:35Speaker 4: There's a lot of backlash.
- 49:37Speaker 2: Okay, backlash. Have you ever seen a movie and I'm
- 49:41Speaker 2: gonna I want to and I want to pull up
- 49:42Speaker 2: this guy's history, okay, because people are just focusing on
- 49:46Speaker 2: this thing. He did one thing, just one thing.
- 49:50Speaker 4: Have you ever seen a movie called.
- 49:53Speaker 2: X Men Dark Phoenix?
- 49:56Speaker 8: No?
- 49:57Speaker 4: I did not, you were a lot of people is
- 50:00Speaker 4: it either? But it's regarded as of one of the
- 50:03Speaker 4: worst X Men films.
- 50:05Speaker 6: Okay, that's when they were really bad.
- 50:07Speaker 2: They were. That was I think I think that was
- 50:09Speaker 2: either the last one or the second to last one.
- 50:12Speaker 2: Actually that was the that was the final one of
- 50:14Speaker 2: the Fox in the Fox umbrella.
- 50:17Speaker 6: They went out with.
- 50:18Speaker 2: They went out like they went out like Hayne Manny
- 50:22Speaker 2: in Super fifty. Just couldn't throw the ball more than
- 50:24Speaker 2: two fucking feet anyway, Still one though, hurts.
- 50:28Speaker 4: So this guy is a very successful writer and producer.
- 50:34Speaker 5: Okay, how are you saying he's successful if that's this
- 50:38Speaker 5: that is the.
- 50:39Speaker 4: Only movie he's ever directed. Oh, this guy, And I
- 50:44Speaker 4: want to clear he is not directing, he is writing.
- 50:47Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm going to read to you.
- 50:49Speaker 2: I'm going to read to you some of the things
- 50:51Speaker 2: this guy wrote, okay, read him off. Now I'm gonna
- 50:54Speaker 2: tell you there are some things on here, and you're like,
- 51:05Speaker 2: so all right. The first thing he wrote was Triple
- 51:07Speaker 2: X State of the Union. That's the ice Cube one.
- 51:10Speaker 6: Hell yeah.
- 51:13Speaker 2: In the Shake. Right after that, right after that, he
- 51:17Speaker 2: wrote Mister Missus Smith. Now that's a badass movie. Okay.
- 51:21Speaker 2: He then did X Men The Last Stand, which is divided.
- 51:24Speaker 2: He did that Hayden Christensen movie called Jumper. He did
- 51:27Speaker 2: the Sherlock Holmes movie, which is badass with Robert Downey.
- 51:33Speaker 4: Rob He did This Means War.
- 51:36Speaker 2: It's a decent comedy. He did Days of Future Pass,
- 51:38Speaker 2: which is a very good fucking movie.
- 51:39Speaker 6: That's great.
- 51:40Speaker 2: That one that that I'm not that's the end of
- 51:44Speaker 2: the X Men movies for me.
- 51:45Speaker 4: That's it.
- 51:45Speaker 2: I mean obviously, like obviously with the ship with.
- 51:49Speaker 6: Looking at the IMDb.
- 51:50Speaker 2: Now, yeah, so he's got some he has some uh,
- 51:56Speaker 2: very big hits. He's bad.
- 52:00Speaker 4: I'm gonna say, you know, he's batting two fifty.
- 52:03Speaker 2: But here's the thing. When he hits, he hits big.
- 52:07Speaker 6: When he does what's that invasion? Was that any good?
- 52:12Speaker 2: Never heard of it?
- 52:15Speaker 6: It's an Apple TV drama.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Oh but he was evolved, but he was involved with
- 52:19Speaker 2: movies like Deadpool, the Martian, Ridley Scott's, Matt Damon's Mars movie,
- 52:25Speaker 2: involved with Logan, the Deadpool.
- 52:26Speaker 5: Movies, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. He did scripture visions on
- 52:32Speaker 5: that should have kept it closer.
- 52:33Speaker 6: To the book.
- 52:36Speaker 2: But here's the here's the key thing.
- 52:37Speaker 6: He was God Chuck.
- 52:39Speaker 5: He did scripture visions on Electra and Catwoman.
- 52:43Speaker 2: But here's the thing, and this is the point, the
- 52:45Speaker 2: thing I want to make clear. Okay, this guy is
- 52:49Speaker 2: a star Wars.
- 52:52Speaker 5: Freak, Star Wars fucking nerd.
- 52:55Speaker 4: He was one of the head people involved with the
- 52:57Speaker 4: show Rebels. Yes, Adam ad series.
- 53:00Speaker 2: Everyone always sings Dave Filoni, Yes, but this was the
- 53:03Speaker 2: guy behind Dave Filoni with Rebels.
- 53:06Speaker 4: He also did, Yeah, he did. He did, you know,
- 53:09Speaker 4: some other television shows and stuff like that.
- 53:12Speaker 2: The point I'm trying to make here is.
- 53:18Speaker 4: People need.
- 53:20Speaker 2: This is kind of the thain that this is kind
- 53:22Speaker 2: of going to like what's going on right now in
- 53:23Speaker 2: our country. I understand, hold On, I understand there's reason
- 53:31Speaker 2: to think about the negatives one thousand percent. You can't
- 53:35Speaker 2: talk about a positive without a negative, and vice versa.
- 53:39Speaker 2: But what I can say wholeheartedly is that this guy
- 53:45Speaker 2: I think is a perfect fit for this. Now we'll
- 53:48Speaker 2: see what happens, because the point I was trying to
- 53:50Speaker 2: hear that, but I'm gonna do what episode on some
- 53:51Speaker 2: day is like they did not No one's confirmed this,
- 53:54Speaker 2: but three movies were announced today. This guy's be writing
- 53:57Speaker 2: and producing. We'll be directing. But here's what you can Okay, okay,
- 54:00Speaker 2: if you look at all of these movies that he's written,
- 54:03Speaker 2: anytime a director with a decent credibility has done it,
- 54:08Speaker 2: or at least he's been in or at least he's
- 54:10Speaker 2: been involved with it, the movie is a slam Dunk Okay,
- 54:13Speaker 2: Days of Future Pass. Slam Dunk Mister and Missus Smith
- 54:16Speaker 2: wrote it. Slam Dunk tried to do a show off it.
- 54:19Speaker 2: It got decent ratings, but now they're gonn to reaboo
- 54:21Speaker 2: again because the people are coming back. Deadpool, hit, Deadpool two,
- 54:26Speaker 2: Hit Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter?
- 54:31Speaker 6: Did you see it?
- 54:33Speaker 4: Believe or not?
- 54:34Speaker 2: I was supposed to, but thankfully I got pulled out
- 54:35Speaker 2: the last minute. I remember that because I don't know
- 54:39Speaker 2: why someone I was, someone I was a friend of
- 54:42Speaker 2: mine really wanted to see it, and their girlfriend at
- 54:45Speaker 2: the time came with him, and I'm like, why are
- 54:46Speaker 2: we seeing this movie? And thankfully I just I didn't
- 54:48Speaker 2: see it. I pulled out last.
- 54:50Speaker 6: Minute Google cgi horse seen Abraham Lincoln.
- 54:59Speaker 2: CGI horror scene.
- 55:02Speaker 5: Or I found a video horse fight Abraham Lincoln.
- 55:07Speaker 6: Yeah what am I? Oh?
- 55:10Speaker 2: No, what what am I watching? What am I watching here?
- 55:15Speaker 4: What the fuck I'm watching Abraham Lincoln Vampire hunter horse fight?
- 55:21Speaker 8: What?
- 55:23Speaker 6: What the fuck?
- 55:27Speaker 8: What do I what?
- 55:28Speaker 5: What the fuck you're watching exactly what it sounds like
- 55:33Speaker 5: is Abraham Lincoln chasing out a vampire in a stampede
- 55:38Speaker 5: of horses with an axe, the vampires jumping at him
- 55:43Speaker 5: from the horse.
- 55:46Speaker 2: With some of the fucking worst horse c g I
- 55:48Speaker 2: you'll ever.
- 55:49Speaker 6: See absolutely.
- 55:52Speaker 2: Horse that's as funny as ship.
- 55:57Speaker 10: The horse.
- 55:57Speaker 4: Take him out there we go.
- 55:59Speaker 5: No, he's gonna Oh are you getting Oh, just stay tuned.
- 56:02Speaker 6: It gets better.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Did this guy? Is this guy fucking tossing a horse?
- 56:10Speaker 5: Toss a horse but then the horse gets right back up,
- 56:18Speaker 5: But it gets better?
- 56:21Speaker 4: What the fuck horse?
- 56:24Speaker 2: What the fuck I missed this movie?
- 56:29Speaker 6: Yeah, dude, is this exactly what you came out?
- 56:34Speaker 2: Not too long actually, after the Dan Lewis Lincoln movie,
- 56:38Speaker 2: which is fu hilarious.
- 56:39Speaker 6: Actually it's surprisingly close.
- 56:42Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my god, I think it's better. I think
- 56:45Speaker 2: day Lewis actually won the Oscar for that movie.
- 56:49Speaker 6: I think they meant to give it to this guy.
- 56:51Speaker 2: Probably they probably just.
- 56:52Speaker 6: Got the name. This got confused.
- 56:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I mean hockey up.
- 56:55Speaker 2: When when you got Abraham Lincoln park houring over a
- 56:57Speaker 2: stampedo horses, it was some of the worst.
- 56:59Speaker 6: You seeing him jump from horse to horse.
- 57:00Speaker 4: Yes, it's like fucking Neo and the Matrix.
- 57:03Speaker 6: It's incredible.
- 57:04Speaker 2: This horse and this vambit is in a backflip onto
- 57:07Speaker 2: the horse with Abraham and he's on behind trying to
- 57:08Speaker 2: bite his ass.
- 57:11Speaker 5: What the no horses were harmed in the filming of
- 57:15Speaker 5: this movie.
- 57:16Speaker 2: When the fuck did they get to the cliff?
- 57:23Speaker 6: It's called horsepower, single horse power a little bit, this.
- 57:27Speaker 4: Would be This would be a great like Dodge or
- 57:30Speaker 4: for commercial I mean the Vampire. The Vampire graphics are
- 57:34Speaker 4: pretty good.
- 57:34Speaker 2: I'll give it that.
- 57:36Speaker 4: Oh god, Oh that's I.
- 57:38Speaker 2: Take back what I just said. And he's an executive
- 57:40Speaker 2: producer on this. Apparently the axe is a gun.
- 57:45Speaker 6: What the fuck the axe is a gun. The axe
- 57:49Speaker 6: is a gun.
- 57:51Speaker 2: Anyway, tell me how this doesn't look.
- 57:53Speaker 6: Like a younger.
- 57:56Speaker 5: Version of Liam Neeson somehow I read a little bit,
- 58:01Speaker 5: a little bit right.
- 58:02Speaker 4: I have a very particular shot of Skill Craig.
- 58:05Speaker 2: That his kid shut the fuck up anyway.
- 58:12Speaker 6: Wow, I can Bradley Neeson.
- 58:15Speaker 2: Jesus Christ.
- 58:16Speaker 6: Yeah, I can't die there anyway. So that's the if.
- 58:20Speaker 5: That's the kind of that's the level of a fight
- 58:22Speaker 5: scene choreography we can expect.
- 58:25Speaker 2: Well, Okay, here's what I'm trying to me.
- 58:26Speaker 6: I'm I'm going to shop for shot remakes's.
- 58:30Speaker 2: People just need to like take a step back and
- 58:32Speaker 2: think about as clickie click and I talk.
- 58:35Speaker 4: About this podcast and we'll get out here in a second.
- 58:38Speaker 2: Star Wars can literally make a movie about a ship
- 58:43Speaker 2: sandwich and Nana will try to justify why it's decent.
- 58:46Speaker 2: We at least someone enjoy it. Okay, this is a guy.
- 58:52Speaker 2: Here's a here's a guy right here. This is a
- 58:54Speaker 2: guy that whenever he has a good director, the movies
- 58:57Speaker 2: are badass. Obviously sometimes with other ones not great. But
- 59:00Speaker 2: here's the thing I'm trying to make the problem was
- 59:02Speaker 2: the problem that everyone has with the last sequel movies
- 59:06Speaker 2: with the Ray Daisy Ridley with Ray and Drivers Kylo,
- 59:10Speaker 2: all that ship.
- 59:12Speaker 4: And you And I'm a fan of a man to
- 59:13Speaker 4: admit there was no plan. There was no plan, not.
- 59:19Speaker 5: Really something you have to take accountability for them.
- 59:22Speaker 2: But here's the thing though, that's because they have different
- 59:24Speaker 2: writers come in, directors and back and forth. This is
- 59:26Speaker 2: a guy now who's literally given he's been given the
- 59:29Speaker 2: book to go, write me three movies back to back
- 59:32Speaker 2: to back, give me a story.
- 59:34Speaker 4: Great Now, am I excited for it? Yes? Here's this guy.
- 59:37Speaker 2: A fan of it?
- 59:38Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 59:39Speaker 2: The only thing I'm scared about is the person upstairs
- 59:41Speaker 2: because how many times have we come on this spot
- 59:43Speaker 2: because and go, yeah, here's the thing that's coming off
- 59:44Speaker 2: with Star Wars and all we have is animated ship,
- 59:49Speaker 2: a show about the goonies and.
- 59:53Speaker 4: That's it.
- 59:55Speaker 2: Or or of course they really needs.
- 59:57Speaker 5: To be in on this writing stuff. Who Sam, wait
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: where he's a Star Wars nerd and he's been in
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: a bunch of Star Wars stuff lately.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, he's a Star Wars like he's corrected
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: Filoni and shit. But like the point, the point I'm
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: trying to make is like, yeah, like it's one of
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: those things where and I and I hate to say it,
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: and I again, I hope these movies are great.
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: I really do.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: But I really think the reason these movies are getting
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: pushed is probably because the person in the castle.
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: Oh is like, hey, hm hm, we haven't had a
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: movie in.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Five years, and you've only produced one movie that just
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: apparently wrapped filming, but it's not going out for like
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: a couple of years, and everything else you've put on
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: Disney Plus has been drastically criticized. Essentially, you're not making
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: as money. What the fuck are you doing? And I
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: think that they're getting scared. That's why they're like, hey,
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: three movies.
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: Here we go.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Because they said they were going to go back to
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: the Skywalker shit, but it looks like you're going back
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: to the Skywalker. So I'm for it. But you know what, again,
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: see what happens. Because again I've talked I got this
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: podcast quite a few times, and how many things have
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: I talked about or anything? Go back to the two thousand,
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: I think it was twenty nineteen or twenty Disney Investors
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Call where they showed all these scenes that Lucasfilm was making,
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: and I think out of like the fifteen they announced
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: four of them have come out, and one of them
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: wasn't Star Wars. It was Willow. You are Willow? Who
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: were kids?
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: I never watched it the movie, I do remember. No,
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: I never watched it, but you know what I do
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: remember watching it at your place? What oddly enough?
- 1:01:38Speaker 6: Remember that movie? What was it Legacy with Tom Cruise?
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: And like that is that Tim Curry is Tim Carey
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: is the Double Demon?
- 1:01:47Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: Crazy?
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: I remember eating like some what was it Chinese food
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: or something at your your old house. Oh, random memory, random,
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: random memory.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: Random member very just fucking unlocked. Yeah, no remember, And
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: like that's the thing, like you don't have to complicate it,
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: like just give us a good ass story. But like
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: and again I hope they take it outside of the
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: Skywalker ship because like nothing, I'm not saying I'm always
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: down for it. But like the problem is, like I said,
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: Star Wars is such a jig.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: It's it's a galaxy explore.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: That's why people love the game so much, why people
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: love Mandalorians so much, because they're going to planets and
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: things they've never seen before. I mean this podcast about
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: how the almost ship my pants in the Fallen Order
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: game when the Giant Spider comes out of nowhere. But
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: I found a glutch on how to beat without doing
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: it and Patrick that was full of shit, not fullshit,
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: but he thought really and then I showed him just
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: and it was just it was just, yeah, the footage,
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: make this ship, now, don't make it with spiders.
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: But I feel like, no, don't avoid that if you can.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: Please, But like aphobia, for God's sake, I feel like with.
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: Star Wars you're always going to be caught between wanting
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: to do something new and then wanting to adhere to
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: like all the tropes and stuff, wanting something that feels
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: like Star Wars. And it's like if you can look
- 1:02:59Speaker 5: at something and identified as Star Wars and that's to me,
- 1:03:02Speaker 5: that's enough tell a good story. But like I think
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: Mandalorian showed us that you can have a different feel
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: like on a genre level and still be Star Wars right.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: Like it was almost Western esque in the way the
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: Mandalorian was portrayed. It was like that mysterious stranger you
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: didn't really talk much, but like you could tell through
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: the portrayal of the character and the story beats like
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: you unders good his motives and stuff, but like it
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: didn't necessarily have to lean into like overt comedy or
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: like have to be super sci fi esque, and it
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: almost wasn't even fantasy. Like I think Star Wars is
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: a blend of sci fi and fantasy. Like, yeah, it
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: takes place in space. There's spaceships, there's lasers, all this shit,
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: but it's almost like a fantasy esque, you know, or
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: at least Jedi are like almost like these mystical wizards
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: and shit, and they have these swords and whatever.
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: Anyway, but.
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: Like, yeah, no, I make it like fucking spectacular, but like,
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: don't make it too trophy, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: I don't know what I want from these new movies,
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: you know. And I think, again, I'm not a huge
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: Star Wars and I think I think, like, even like.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: The most base of it, they still want to have
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: their insult tage because there, like the whole somehow Palpatine return.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: It's like, really, that's how he returned. To the Star
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: Wars shows, they're gonna they're gonna show how you returned.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: If you've seen the episode of Man, you know exactly
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: what fucking I'm talking about. Like like the second thing
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: walk into a certain room, You're like, what the fuck
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: is this? It's like, oh, here we go, but boyd
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: be nothing.
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: To like you could you talk about Sorry, well no,
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: I'm saying, like, make it make sense, you know, show
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: us how the bread is made or whatever the fucking
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: expression is. But like, yeah, don't insult people's intelligence, you know,
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: And again, like you know, it's Disney. They're gonna want
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: a fucking shoehorn in some fucking opportunities to sell a
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: bunch of toys to kids. There's gonna be some weird,
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: cute little animal, there's gonna be some fucking you roight
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: side kick. It's like people are tired of that unless
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: you make it make sense.
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: Right over under how many focals from those movies?
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: By bye?
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: Oh dude, do you wanna Do you want a kind
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: answer and you want to know the best friend answer?
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: I want the best friend answer probably fifteen.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: I would go twenty something. If there's stormtroopers, then that's
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: that's that's who fucking.
- 1:05:27Speaker 6: Knows know thyself, Charles know thyself.
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: At any rate?
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: Add an addition under the house, Yeah, we're gonna have
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: to knock down this wall.
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: Sorry, good.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Anyway, that's actually that's kind of a little ironic.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: What's what's going right now?
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: Anyway? Anyway, Oh God, I want to thank you. I
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: was wanting me to do that. I want to think

- 1:06:12Speaker 2: were gone anyway, right, I want to quickly say and
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: then stated earlier. You know, there's that whole kind of
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: like just be kind, be kind to thy neighbor and
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: stuff like that. There's no reason to get into like
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: okay anything. The biggest arts we should be getting into
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: is like, hey, fuck your team and fuck your just
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: ship like that, like come on, like, no.
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: Reason for it. So remember what country we're in, people.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: Right, Well, you know, as my father once told me,
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: it's like, hey, regards whatel's going on in this country,

- 1:06:42Speaker 2: and it's like that's true. But anyway, yes, so as

- 1:07:50Speaker 6: Jesus, yeah, yeah, she can do it.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: She's done it before. She's a badass. I have nothing
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: but faith in her.

- 1:08:37Speaker 2: They kind of like split up and kind of like
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: do certain things. And yes, it is a dizzy adults podcast,
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: but like even if you're not a dizzy adult, like
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: you'll definitely have fun. Like I actually said it to
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: my was my mom. Yeah, since I told my mom
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: with someone of the episodes, and she was cracking up,
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: like they're just funny. There's funny skits and shit they
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: do on there too sometimes anyway. Yeah, trust Cantangia dot
