- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show, the world's most trusted conspiracy
- 0:16Speaker 1: theory podcast, with your hosts, Adam Todd Brown and Olivia Hidar.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy The Show. I'm your host,
- 0:38Speaker 2: Adam Todd Brown and I'm Olivia Hidar, and that makes
- 0:41Speaker 2: us both your hosts. That does Olivia, how's it going.
- 0:45Speaker 2: We're recording in person at studios that we're trying to
- 0:51Speaker 2: get rid of right now. I know, arguably this might
- 0:54Speaker 2: be the last episode we record here.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's kind of huge. I'm really I'm really on
- 0:59Speaker 3: there to be a part of this moment. I mean,
- 1:02Speaker 3: you know, these landlords, we've had troubles with them. I
- 1:06Speaker 3: mean I love their politics. Yeah, but you know, it
- 1:10Speaker 3: seems like they're building management skills. Leave a lot to
- 1:12Speaker 3: be desired.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I missed the Trump DeSantis sign.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Oh, I really wish that that was still there.
- 1:19Speaker 2: That's high comedy, expecting that Trump and DeSantis like each
- 1:22Speaker 2: other enough to go together in twenty twenty four.
- 1:25Speaker 3: That was always the funniest part.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're going to be that militant about your politics,
- 1:30Speaker 2: at least like know how they work.
- 1:32Speaker 3: I mean, it's just a sign that says fuck you
- 1:36Speaker 3: in big that's literally all that combination of words means. Yeah.
- 1:42Speaker 2: So but that sign has gone away and we will
- 1:45Speaker 2: too soon. But in the meantime, oh man, have people
- 1:50Speaker 2: been clamoring for us to cover what we're covering today.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Absolutely, I'm not surprised. I mean, this is right up
- 1:57Speaker 3: our alley.
- 1:58Speaker 2: It is prime cospiracy, the show content.
- 2:02Speaker 3: It is, even though I heard about it and I thought,
- 2:06Speaker 3: I feel like, if there was actually anything do this,
- 2:09Speaker 3: I would be hearing even more, and yet there wasn't.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Yeah. One of the reasons we haven't jumped on this
- 2:18Speaker 2: as quick as people want is because I'm kind of
- 2:21Speaker 2: tired of hearing the government being like, hey, look at
- 2:25Speaker 2: these videos they mean something well like yeah, I get it.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, and especially and this one is like, I mean,
- 2:31Speaker 3: we'll get into it, but it's mostly just the newest
- 2:34Speaker 3: one was mostly just a guy who heard a thing yeah,
- 2:38Speaker 3: or says he heard a thing yeah, Like that is
- 2:42Speaker 3: just not that compelling on its own.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like this because it happened on TV
- 2:51Speaker 2: in front of the government. Yeah, people are a little
- 2:54Speaker 2: more excited about it than they maybe need to be.
- 2:58Speaker 3: But like, you know, a lot of people have gone
- 3:02Speaker 3: in front of Congress for a lot of dumb things.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Yeah, like steroids in baseball.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Oh exactly, Yeah, we need to be promoting steroids in baseball.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I think I think that was the point. Okay, I was,
- 3:15Speaker 3: I was trying to figure out the Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Of course, a House Oversight subcommittee held a hearing on
- 3:23Speaker 2: UFOs aka UAPs, which, up until researching this, I thought
- 3:31Speaker 2: UAP meant unidentified aerial phenomena.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Oh does it does not?
- 3:37Speaker 2: It means unidentified anomalous phenomena.
- 3:41Speaker 3: That that has to be new, that must be that
- 3:46Speaker 3: has to be a change, because I have heard the
- 3:49Speaker 3: aerial part.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe for me when we were recording.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Maybe no, but separately.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Because I think I just always I mean, that makes sense.
- 4:01Speaker 3: But also though on the other hand, and look, you know,
- 4:06Speaker 3: I call them UFOs because I am a child of
- 4:09Speaker 3: the X Files, you know, I of course, I'm just
- 4:12Speaker 3: it's not gonna stop. But like I understand, wanting to
- 4:15Speaker 3: be more specific, and a lot of these things aren't
- 4:19Speaker 3: just aerial, so it makes sense that it's not unidentified
- 4:23Speaker 3: aerial phenomenon.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Yeah, they sometimes go in the water, exactly, so it
- 4:29Speaker 2: could be unidentified amphibious yes, phenomena exactly, or aerial phenomenon,
- 4:36Speaker 2: so you just go with anomalists.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Yeah, or anomalists yeah.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Finally the government makes a decision.
- 4:43Speaker 3: I agree on.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I mean, sure we are on the same page.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I've got way more things to be mad about than
- 4:50Speaker 3: what we're calling.
- 4:53Speaker 2: So this hearing happened at the end of July. This
- 4:58Speaker 2: is a quote from Rep. Representative Robert Garcia, who was
- 5:02Speaker 2: the top Democrat on the subcommittee. This is from his
- 5:07Speaker 2: opening statement.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Are the sheer number of parts.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Wait, I don't know why I made him a pirate?
- 5:14Speaker 3: Sorry, sorry, legitimately, just.
- 5:19Speaker 2: To carry over from the band podcast we record called
- 5:23Speaker 2: you don't even like this band, where anytime I read
- 5:27Speaker 2: a Mick Fleetwood quote, I assume.
- 5:29Speaker 3: That he's talking like a pirate's pirate voice.
- 5:32Speaker 2: You might let me let me try that again. The
- 5:35Speaker 2: sheer number of reports, whistleblowers and stories of unidentified anomalist
- 5:41Speaker 2: phenomena should raise real questions and warrant investigation and oversight.
- 5:48Speaker 2: And that's why we are here today. UAPs, whatever they
- 5:53Speaker 2: may be, may pose a serious threat to our military
- 5:57Speaker 2: or civilian aircraft in that must be understood. Sure, what
- 6:02Speaker 2: I love about all of this is For the longest time,
- 6:07Speaker 2: people have been like, well, once aliens come to the planet,
- 6:12Speaker 2: and once UFO starts showing up, we're all going to
- 6:15Speaker 2: be completely united, Like that's just going to bond humanity together. Sure,
- 6:22Speaker 2: and even before they're really here, there are already two
- 6:27Speaker 2: very distinct camps right when it comes to what's happening. Yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 2: right now, there's this camp, which is that, hey, we
- 6:35Speaker 2: need to study these because they're probably a threat. And
- 6:40Speaker 2: then there's like Stephen Greer who's like, no, those people
- 6:44Speaker 2: who are telling you that these are a threat, they're
- 6:47Speaker 2: the real threat.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Well, and that's fair also, And that's the thing. I
- 6:52Speaker 3: don't trust anyone.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I don't really trust Stephen Greer, and I oh, obviously
- 6:59Speaker 2: don't trust the government. Course, like it all feels like
- 7:04Speaker 2: k fabe, like aliens are turning into the WWE, where
- 7:12Speaker 2: there's one side that's saying one thing, another side saying
- 7:16Speaker 2: the other thing, and it feels like everyone's kind of pretending.
- 7:20Speaker 3: It's more like it's just turning into a thing that
- 7:25Speaker 3: is talked about in America, which is by definition means
- 7:28Speaker 3: it's gonna like bring out people from every angle, which
- 7:33Speaker 3: is right, the American dream kind of.
- 7:37Speaker 2: It's the American way. It is, like it's not a
- 7:40Speaker 2: thing that is uniting us. It's a thing that we
- 7:44Speaker 2: are finding ways to be divided over.
- 7:47Speaker 3: It's one of the things I really liked about. Do
- 7:49Speaker 3: you ever watch or read Contact? First of all, No, Yeah,
- 7:54Speaker 3: I saw the movie Contact. It's a great movie, and
- 7:57Speaker 3: that is what it's about. Like, you know, everybody's gonna
- 8:01Speaker 3: kind of look at this a different way, and you know,
- 8:05Speaker 3: you just kind of hope that there'll be enough Jodie
- 8:08Speaker 3: Foster's looking for the truth, that we'll figure something out
- 8:11Speaker 3: and we won't, you know, kill each other over something stupid.
- 8:14Speaker 2: But we're gonna kill each other over something stupid, I.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Mean, absolutely, just but hopefully not this probably.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Yeah. So these hearings they were very long, like we
- 8:25Speaker 2: might get into more of them later. Like I didn't
- 8:28Speaker 2: watch all of it, but I don't know, I'm already
- 8:31Speaker 2: so tired of this.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I think we're at a point. You know,
- 8:36Speaker 3: we've kind of since you know, it was twenty nineteen
- 8:39Speaker 3: that the big releases of twenty seventeen, there was a
- 8:44Speaker 3: time six years that's weird. No, So it's been since
- 8:48Speaker 3: then that the big the Navy videos came out and
- 8:53Speaker 3: we kind of had a big step forward in our
- 8:57Speaker 3: collective understanding of this phenomenon, right, And now we're just
- 9:05Speaker 3: at a point where until another big thing with interesting
- 9:11Speaker 3: evidence comes out, you know, there's just not much else
- 9:15Speaker 3: is gonna come out until you know, like we just
- 9:19Speaker 3: need the next big thing, if there's gonna be one.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Yeah, we're kind of at that point where a lot
- 9:26Speaker 2: of people who dismissed the idea of UFOs, right, their
- 9:31Speaker 2: dismissal always centers around, well, where's the evidence? Right, and
- 9:35Speaker 2: it's like, well, now you're seeing it like this is
- 9:38Speaker 2: actually the government coming out and being like, look.
- 9:41Speaker 3: At this thing, right, this is some weird thing that
- 9:43Speaker 3: we don't know what it is specifically.
- 9:46Speaker 2: And even still there are people like, all right, well
- 9:49Speaker 2: what's the evidence?
- 9:50Speaker 3: Well yeah, and the thing is there.
- 9:53Speaker 2: We do still need.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Like much more concrets as compelling. Is a lot of
- 9:58Speaker 3: these things that we've seen been you know, we're still
- 10:01Speaker 3: waiting on the defining the Oprah shot, you know to
- 10:05Speaker 3: quote Nope, like we're still waiting on that. We don't
- 10:08Speaker 3: have that yet. We've got a lot of really compelling
- 10:10Speaker 3: things where if you are already in on UFOs or
- 10:14Speaker 3: on the fence. You're seeing this and you're like, well,
- 10:17Speaker 3: that's that's something that I've not seen before. This is
- 10:21Speaker 3: this is very compelling, but like the average person, like,
- 10:25Speaker 3: you know, it doesn't give enough of a shit to
- 10:27Speaker 3: like Ford to move their dick, you know, like they're
- 10:30Speaker 3: just they're staying.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Flaccid, and like that's understandable. Yeah. Absolutely. If the American
- 10:36Speaker 2: government really is like pulling off some kind of false
- 10:41Speaker 2: flag thing here and they were hoping that seeing this
- 10:46Speaker 2: footage was going to like unite us in some way
- 10:50Speaker 2: or like become our defining problem in life, they shouldn't
- 10:55Speaker 2: have made the rest of life so shitty for so
- 10:59Speaker 2: many people. Yeah, exactly, because there are so many people
- 11:03Speaker 2: in this country. I would argue me among them, and
- 11:06Speaker 2: I'm doing fine. Sure, Like I don't have nearly the
- 11:10Speaker 2: struggles that so many people in this country have, right,
- 11:14Speaker 2: but even I have enough that I'm like, yeah, fuck
- 11:16Speaker 2: a UFO, Like that's just like a metal bird to
- 11:20Speaker 2: me at this point.
- 11:21Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, like, look, I would love for aliens
- 11:26Speaker 3: to come to Earth and kill me specifically, that is
- 11:32Speaker 3: what I would like for. You know, I'm the I'm
- 11:35Speaker 3: the girl from an Independence day who goes up with
- 11:38Speaker 3: her sign to the the LA is like, yeah, beat
- 11:43Speaker 3: me up, baby, just immediately killed. Like that's my vibe
- 11:49Speaker 3: when it comes to aliens. And until that point, you know,
- 11:52Speaker 3: I got fucking bills to pay. Yeah, Like it's tough, man.
- 11:56Speaker 2: It's like, just if you need to start your one
- 11:59Speaker 2: world govern just fucking do it. Just don't bother me
- 12:02Speaker 2: with this UFO shit.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Absolutely. Will it take care of my student loans? Will
- 12:08Speaker 3: it give me healthcare? Okay, I don't care. Yeah.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Yeah. When we first saw these videos in twenty seventeen,
- 12:14Speaker 2: it's like, are they gonna impeach Trump?
- 12:17Speaker 3: Exactly?
- 12:18Speaker 2: If not, I don't give a fuck what they're here for.
- 12:21Speaker 3: They've actually got the cure for COVID up there, but
- 12:23Speaker 3: we keep shooting them down exactly.
- 12:26Speaker 2: So we are talking about these hearings, so we should
- 12:30Speaker 2: get into them, Yes, And we're just gonna talk about
- 12:33Speaker 2: some of the big takeaways from this that everyone is
- 12:38Speaker 2: talking about. And the first one, the big one, is
- 12:42Speaker 2: that the American government is quote absolutely in possession of UAPs,
- 12:49Speaker 2: and that comes from David Gruscious, a former US intelligence official,
- 12:55Speaker 2: So you know you can trust him.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Yeah, and he's thirty six years years old and looks
- 13:01Speaker 3: like he has a lot of experience.
- 13:04Speaker 2: I'll he says, thirty six going on my age.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Like look, as we're recording, I turned thirty six tomorrow,
- 13:13Speaker 3: and it really I saw a picture of this guy
- 13:15Speaker 3: and it really made me feel better about where I'm at,
- 13:18Speaker 3: you know, looks wise.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's because you don't watch sports, That is probably it,
- 13:25Speaker 2: because if you watch sports, you would hear thirty six
- 13:28Speaker 2: year olds being described as the most heroic people of
- 13:32Speaker 2: all time for just getting themselves out there. It's like,
- 13:37Speaker 2: can you believe this guy's still walk? Yeah, he's got
- 13:39Speaker 2: his walk thirty six and it's like, fuck, I would
- 13:42Speaker 2: kill to be thirty six. Yeah, I was in so
- 13:46Speaker 2: much better physical shape.
- 13:48Speaker 3: I thought you were saying that I look better because
- 13:52Speaker 3: I don't watch swoms.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Like probably that too, probably maybe especially you're from Indiana.
- 13:58Speaker 2: All your teams suck right now, so yeah, it'd be
- 14:01Speaker 2: wead times.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Literally would not know they would gun to my head.
- 14:07Speaker 2: So you're not a big Benedict Metherin fan.
- 14:10Speaker 3: I mean, well I love Ben, you know, but just
- 14:13Speaker 3: personally I don't know his work.
- 14:17Speaker 2: So yeah, the American government is in possession of UAPs,
- 14:22Speaker 2: Like yeah, like.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Probably if one has crashed, we probably didn't have it.
- 14:28Speaker 2: The problem with this and it's not a problem, but
- 14:32Speaker 2: like Harry Reid said this in twenty seventeen, Yeah, like
- 14:36Speaker 2: he when we first got these articles about these UFO videos,
- 14:41Speaker 2: that was one of the main talking points was Listen,
- 14:44Speaker 2: we got all this stuff in a storage facility, and
- 14:48Speaker 2: if anyone can say they know where it came from,
- 14:52Speaker 2: they're lying. Sure, Like that's I'm paraphrasing, but that was
- 14:56Speaker 2: Harry Reid's general quote. Yeah, and it really does, at
- 15:02Speaker 2: this point feel like the government is giving us the
- 15:06Speaker 2: same information over and over and over and expecting us
- 15:12Speaker 2: to react to it differently at some point. Yeah, kind of.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Although you know, again I have a hard time lumping
- 15:21Speaker 3: David Grush and his testimony in with that because you know,
- 15:27Speaker 3: of how scanty what he says actually is.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Yes, Yeah, it seems like Harry Reid had a little
- 15:34Speaker 2: more like actual hands on knowledge, yes, of what was happening.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Yeah, He's been like trying to figure this shit out
- 15:42Speaker 3: for decades.
- 15:43Speaker 2: That's the big problem with this testimony. When people are
- 15:47Speaker 2: getting so excited about it, like, hey, the government just
- 15:50Speaker 2: said UFOs are real. It's like, nah, this one guy,
- 15:54Speaker 2: this single guy, UFOs are real, right, And that's a big,
- 16:00Speaker 2: big difference, and not just that he admits in his
- 16:05Speaker 2: testimony he's never seen any of this. Yes, it's just
- 16:11Speaker 2: him conducting interviews, yes, with people who've seen it. And
- 16:16Speaker 2: at that point it's like, well, why haven't you seen it?
- 16:18Speaker 3: Right? And why are you here? Why are you the
- 16:21Speaker 3: one like blowing the whistle on this hearsay?
- 16:26Speaker 2: And you couldn't get a single one of those people
- 16:29Speaker 2: to come forward and testify, like, not one like your
- 16:34Speaker 2: courage under fire didn't inspire someone else, Like I don't
- 16:39Speaker 2: trust this guy.
- 16:40Speaker 3: I absolutely don't trust this guy.
- 16:42Speaker 2: He testified that he led a Defense Department effort to
- 16:47Speaker 2: analyze UAP sightings and reports and was informed of a
- 16:53Speaker 2: multi decade Pentagon program that collected and attempted to reconstruct
- 17:00Speaker 2: crashed UAPs. So he led that Defense Department effort, right,
- 17:06Speaker 2: but also has never seen a UAP?
- 17:09Speaker 1: Right?
- 17:10Speaker 2: So who did? Right?
- 17:12Speaker 1: Like?
- 17:12Speaker 2: Who saw him that exactly? That's that's a good question,
- 17:15Speaker 2: like your your underling, Sam, but like you just like
- 17:19Speaker 2: didn't get to see him. That makes zero sense.
- 17:21Speaker 3: You know, he's like, well, they requested the anonymity or whatever.
- 17:24Speaker 3: It's just like, I'm sorry, this is not going to
- 17:27Speaker 3: pass muster for me. I've heard this enough from better
- 17:31Speaker 3: sources than you, Like I'll take a you know, we
- 17:36Speaker 3: can't disclose from a Harry Reid or whatever, but I
- 17:41Speaker 3: don't know who you are, buddy.
- 17:43Speaker 2: He did say that this program is above congressional oversight
- 17:49Speaker 2: and bankrolled by a misappropriation of funds, which that doesn't
- 17:53Speaker 2: sound like our intelligence community at all.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, that could be describing any number of things.
- 18:01Speaker 2: But also that is kind of the thing like we've
- 18:05Speaker 2: heard so much about like black budgets and like black ops. Yeah,
- 18:09Speaker 2: so now this guy can just be like, well, it's
- 18:12Speaker 2: black ops. It's above Congress. That's why you don't know
- 18:15Speaker 2: about it. And I don't doubt that there are projects
- 18:19Speaker 2: like this, they exist above the scope of Congress.
- 18:21Speaker 3: I don't doubt that there are projects like that. But
- 18:25Speaker 3: do you think that UFOs would be one of them.
- 18:28Speaker 3: I feel like they'll put that on like whatever crazy
- 18:32Speaker 3: neutron bomb or whatever the fuck they're building, like that's
- 18:36Speaker 3: what they're going to be keeping away from Congress. I
- 18:38Speaker 3: don't know that they give enough of a shit to
- 18:40Speaker 3: keep UFOs away. But I don't know.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I think the only reason they would And this is
- 18:47Speaker 2: obviously a big argument that people who are interested in
- 18:51Speaker 2: this make, which is that we've recovered technology from alien
- 18:56Speaker 2: crashes that would like fix our client change issues. Sure,
- 19:02Speaker 2: and we've just kind of suppressed that so we can
- 19:05Speaker 2: keep selling oil for all these years, and like people
- 19:08Speaker 2: have died in the process.
- 19:10Speaker 3: It's just that My problem with that is my problem
- 19:14Speaker 3: with a lot of the way that people think about
- 19:16Speaker 3: UFOs is I just don't understand how you think that
- 19:19Speaker 3: we would be able to use any alien technology if
- 19:22Speaker 3: they're traveling across galaxies, you know, Like.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Well, I think it's more the propulsion systems. Sure, in
- 19:32Speaker 2: the crafts themselves, right, How.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Would we know how that works?
- 19:37Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know exactly, but I also don't
- 19:40Speaker 2: doubt that.
- 19:40Speaker 3: I mean people will be studying it, definitely, people.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Who would study it and figure it out. And the
- 19:46Speaker 2: thing is, if we did figure that out, like in
- 19:50Speaker 2: like the fifties or sixties, yeah, and we were like,
- 19:53Speaker 2: but we got all these engines that run on gas
- 19:57Speaker 2: that we need, sure, like keep selling that would be
- 20:00Speaker 2: a pretty huge scandal. But at the same time, what
- 20:04Speaker 2: would we the people do about it? Right, Like if
- 20:06Speaker 2: the government came out and was like, listen, we've actually
- 20:10Speaker 2: had the means to fix climate change for decades and
- 20:13Speaker 2: we just didn't do it. I feel like as a country,
- 20:17Speaker 2: on both sides, our response would be, oh, so you
- 20:20Speaker 2: can fix climate change, Yeah, it would be great, Please
- 20:23Speaker 2: do it. Then, Yeah, it wouldn't be oh but all
- 20:26Speaker 2: these people died and now we have to like try
- 20:29Speaker 2: you as war criminals, like that never happened.
- 20:32Speaker 3: That would be secondary.
- 20:34Speaker 2: I think everybody's first reaction.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Would be please, please keep the planet from its.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Yeah, Like people like us would be like, oh but
- 20:43Speaker 2: all those yeah, like people probably died from climate change.
- 20:47Speaker 3: I mean it's tough to say. People get mad about,
- 20:50Speaker 3: you know, horrific crimes against humanities. True, so we don't know,
- 20:56Speaker 3: but I think everybody's first reaction would definitely be please,
- 21:00Speaker 3: if you would not mind.
- 21:02Speaker 2: And I've said it before that has always been like
- 21:06Speaker 2: my secret hope about climate change is that, like, we
- 21:11Speaker 2: have the technology to fix it, but also rich people
- 21:14Speaker 2: are like, well, we're not just gonna waste all this oil,
- 21:16Speaker 2: right right, Like we're gonna raid this fucking planet before
- 21:19Speaker 2: we fix it, right, And maybe that's where every society
- 21:24Speaker 2: before us has gotten to the point where they're like,
- 21:27Speaker 2: all right, we're gonna raid the planet for as long
- 21:29Speaker 2: as we can and then we'll fix things. Yeah, and
- 21:32Speaker 2: then like a minute before they fix things, the planet
- 21:35Speaker 2: just explodes.
- 21:36Speaker 3: I mean, look, that's probably what will happen.
- 21:41Speaker 2: That is almost certainly what will happen. Anyway, we'll be
- 21:45Speaker 2: dead by then, hopefully maybe all Right, the next big
- 21:51Speaker 2: takeaway non human biologics. He said that, like Trump, we're
- 21:59Speaker 2: found at a crash site. And this is where the
- 22:03Speaker 2: problems with Grutch's testimony come into play, right, because he
- 22:08Speaker 2: straight up says he's never seen a UAP, He's never
- 22:12Speaker 2: seen these non human biologics. But he did interview a
- 22:18Speaker 2: bunch of people who told him about this.
- 22:20Speaker 3: But I and again, I, you know, I just don't
- 22:23Speaker 3: see how that's any different than so many of the
- 22:28Speaker 3: reports that we've heard in the past, like somebody heard
- 22:32Speaker 3: from somebody else who said they saw an alien or whatever.
- 22:36Speaker 2: It's kind of how Stephen Greer's stuff works, absolutely, like
- 22:41Speaker 2: so much of it is, well, yeah, a source told me,
- 22:44Speaker 2: and it's like you are making a documentary right now.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Show me something right that that source showed you that
- 22:52Speaker 2: has convinced you that this is real. Yeah, and so
- 22:56Speaker 2: much of this guy's testimony is just well, yeah, I
- 22:59Speaker 2: interviewed people and they told me it's like they might
- 23:02Speaker 2: be lying. Y.
- 23:03Speaker 3: I mean, look, man, like this is the thing we've
- 23:05Speaker 3: had blue Book since the fifties. Yeah, so like you've
- 23:09Speaker 3: got to come at me with a little bit more
- 23:12Speaker 3: of a solid testimony than Project Bluebook from the fucking fifties.
- 23:17Speaker 3: I'm sorry it's been seventy years because yeah, this is.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Kind of the same claim from Roswell, which is yeah,
- 23:25Speaker 2: oh yeah, Roswell people, jesus, yeah, we found alien bodies
- 23:29Speaker 2: in one of these crashes. Yeah, and now this is
- 23:31Speaker 2: just another guy saying that, but he's saying it to Congress, right,
- 23:36Speaker 2: So now people are like, oh, the government just admitted
- 23:39Speaker 2: aliens are real, and it's like, nah, this guy did.
- 23:43Speaker 3: I'm blaming c Span. They started all this, They showed
- 23:46Speaker 3: us all of the stupid shit that happens at Congress
- 23:49Speaker 3: all day, and so now we just expect that it's
- 23:53Speaker 3: all newsworthy.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's all real, and so yeah, I don't know it.
- 23:58Speaker 2: It really does to me feel like there could be
- 24:01Speaker 2: some like Richard Dody Mirage, man, shit happening here, I
- 24:05Speaker 2: mean maybe where this guy is like on the forefront
- 24:10Speaker 2: of this and so people are coming to him and
- 24:13Speaker 2: being like, yeah, man, you're not gonna believe what I saw.
- 24:16Speaker 3: But is he Like I get that's definitely drue and
- 24:21Speaker 3: he's definitely the target of that shit now, But like,
- 24:25Speaker 3: I had never heard of this fucking guy until he's
- 24:28Speaker 3: and I keep up with this stuff to an extent,
- 24:31Speaker 3: you know, doing this show. So yeah, I don't know.
- 24:35Speaker 3: I mean, it could be. It could also just be.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Congress has a long history of hearing testimony from whack ups.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Yeah, for lack.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Of a more sensitive term.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Where's Tom DeLong in all this? Oh, why isn't he
- 24:49Speaker 2: being interviewed?
- 24:50Speaker 3: Exactly? This guy's thirty six years old? What's his age again? Huh?
- 24:56Speaker 2: Tom DeLong? Fucking alien? Are real from playing guitar while
- 25:03Speaker 2: he's testifying? That would be great, I mean it'd be fine.
- 25:06Speaker 2: I was never a big Bunk one eighty two fan.
- 25:08Speaker 3: I mean I was ever huge, but I like their
- 25:10Speaker 3: famous songs.
- 25:14Speaker 2: So yeah. He at one point testified that what he
- 25:19Speaker 2: and his wife had seen was very disturbing, but also
- 25:22Speaker 2: had testified at other points that he hadn't really seen anything.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean it sounds like he's saying that what
- 25:29Speaker 3: he's using what he's seen to mean what he has
- 25:33Speaker 3: read and heard from these eye witnesses, which to me
- 25:38Speaker 3: is not accurate.
- 25:40Speaker 2: And when he was asked for more details, he was like, well,
- 25:43Speaker 2: I can't share them because they're too sensitive. Of course,
- 25:47Speaker 2: but then there's all these like magazine interviews with him
- 25:50Speaker 2: before this where he goes into a whole bunch of detail,
- 25:54Speaker 2: but something about being like in front of the government
- 25:58Speaker 2: and being under oath. I don't even know. Was he
- 26:01Speaker 2: under oath?
- 26:01Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 26:02Speaker 2: But now all of a sudden, it's all, oh, it's
- 26:06Speaker 2: too sensitive right for me to talk about.
- 26:09Speaker 3: And I'm sorry, I'm sorry. That's again this is not
- 26:13Speaker 3: passing for me. I'm not accepting it's too sensitive anymore. No.
- 26:18Speaker 2: It reminds me of when Congress finally tackled the real
- 26:22Speaker 2: issue plaguing America, which is steroids in baseball, and Sammy
- 26:28Speaker 2: Sosa testified in front of Congress and was like, knowing, glace,
- 26:34Speaker 2: I know, no, No, I have baseball been very, very good,
- 26:38Speaker 2: and it's like I've seen you in commercials where you're like, hey,
- 26:41Speaker 2: I'm Sammy Sosa for Chicago land Ford Dealers, and then
- 26:46Speaker 2: you get him in front of Congress and he's like, Eh,
- 26:48Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. But
- 26:51Speaker 2: like this guy too, Like you've given all these interviews
- 26:54Speaker 2: and now you get in front of Congress and you're like,
- 26:56Speaker 2: it's too sensitive for me to talk about I mean
- 26:59Speaker 2: you talk it to Vanity Fair, right, where is.
- 27:03Speaker 3: The better place to talk about these sensitive matters? If
- 27:07Speaker 3: it's that sensitive, they'll make sure it doesn't leave the
- 27:11Speaker 3: congressional hearing room, right, you know, Like it's fine, man,
- 27:17Speaker 3: You're in front of the people who need to hear
- 27:19Speaker 3: the stuff.
- 27:20Speaker 2: So the next big takeaway, very dramatic moment, Gretch testified
- 27:26Speaker 2: that he'd been the subject of quote, very brutal retaliation
- 27:31Speaker 2: as a result of his allegations.
- 27:33Speaker 3: He could barely walk into the hearing.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's like again, citation needed, right, what do
- 27:38Speaker 2: you mean?
- 27:39Speaker 3: Yeah, how about it's clearly wasn't physical retaliation. So what
- 27:44Speaker 3: what happens?
- 27:46Speaker 2: Yeah, Like did you lose your job? Did? Like we're
- 27:51Speaker 2: government agents following you, Like what just tell us right,
- 27:55Speaker 2: what you mean and.
- 27:57Speaker 3: If it happened, yeah, and if it didn't, then what
- 28:00Speaker 3: are we talking about this?
- 28:02Speaker 2: And he also claimed to have knowledge of quote, people
- 28:05Speaker 2: who have been harmed or injured in the course of
- 28:08Speaker 2: government efforts to conceal UFO information And again, well, who
- 28:15Speaker 2: are they who? And you know, I'm like sure, because
- 28:19Speaker 2: maybe all I have been confronted with for the past
- 28:24Speaker 2: six years at least, is person after person making documentary
- 28:30Speaker 2: after documentary about what the government is up to and
- 28:35Speaker 2: how dangerous it is to talk about this. And it's like, well,
- 28:39Speaker 2: why are there fifty fucking Amazon documentaries about this? Why
- 28:45Speaker 2: isn't Stephen Grier dead? Why isn't this guy dead? Why
- 28:50Speaker 2: aren't all of these luminaries in the field fucking dead?
- 28:55Speaker 2: And don't tell me it's because they're too high profile?
- 28:59Speaker 2: The government murdered fucking RFK Malcolm x Fred Hampton. There
- 29:06Speaker 2: is no such thing as someone being too high profile
- 29:10Speaker 2: for this government to fucking murder. Yeah, so why are
- 29:14Speaker 2: none of these people dead?
- 29:15Speaker 3: Well? And I'm like, you know, it's like he claims
- 29:18Speaker 3: that people have been harmed or injured. I'm like, yeah, probably,
- 29:21Speaker 3: but I need more than that. I need more than
- 29:24Speaker 3: you saying that it happened. I need a name or
- 29:27Speaker 3: an event.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Like can we never get names? No, we get whenever
- 29:33Speaker 2: there's like a famous UFO sighting, we get the names absolutely,
- 29:37Speaker 2: Like we know the people who saw it, like what
- 29:40Speaker 2: they experienced.
- 29:41Speaker 3: Eddian Barney Hill.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Give me the name of one person murdered by the
- 29:46Speaker 2: government over their UFO knowledge.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Well you know, of course you're not going to know
- 29:51Speaker 3: their names because the government never let them get to
- 29:55Speaker 3: that point. You know, they found out that it was
- 29:57Speaker 3: actually that all those other sightings they were fake, but
- 30:00Speaker 3: the real ones that that's who they kill.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I just I want to believe.
- 30:05Speaker 3: That's free, by the way, you can have that. I
- 30:10Speaker 3: want to believe me too that this is all true.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but it all like on both sides. On the
- 30:19Speaker 2: side this guy's on, which is that aliens are real
- 30:23Speaker 2: and we need to investigate them as a threat, and
- 30:26Speaker 2: then the Stephen Greer side, which is, well, aliens are real,
- 30:30Speaker 2: but there's not a threat and the government is just
- 30:32Speaker 2: telling us they are a threat. And it's like, I
- 30:35Speaker 2: don't know, have you met all the aliens? Like some
- 30:38Speaker 2: of them might show up and fuck you up, pal, maybe,
- 30:41Speaker 2: But either one of those sides is lying or everyone's lying, right,
- 30:48Speaker 2: and this is just all the government. And I'm kind
- 30:52Speaker 2: of leaning toward this just being all the government, Like.
- 30:56Speaker 3: I think it's a dash of that and the dash
- 30:59Speaker 3: of you know, this is a long running enterprise, like
- 31:02Speaker 3: people are have been making money making UFO claims for
- 31:06Speaker 3: decades and it's not gonna stop anytime soon. And you know,
- 31:10Speaker 3: maybe some of these people are telling the truth and
- 31:12Speaker 3: maybe they're not, but you know, that's just gonna keep going.
- 31:15Speaker 3: And that's fine. But you know, when you're in front
- 31:19Speaker 3: of Congress, that's where I say, I need a little
- 31:22Speaker 3: bit more than you might put in your book.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Yeah, or at least say the same stuff you say
- 31:29Speaker 2: in interview, right, Like, how are you comfortable saying it
- 31:32Speaker 2: in the press but not in front of the government
- 31:35Speaker 2: where you're encouraging other whistleblowers to come forward.
- 31:39Speaker 3: I mean, let me, you know, I might be wrong,
- 31:42Speaker 3: but I don't know if you can get perjured in
- 31:46Speaker 3: a vanity fair interview.
- 31:48Speaker 2: That's true. That's a very good point. And yeah. Congressman
- 31:52Speaker 2: Tim Burchett asked Grush if he has any personal knowledge
- 31:58Speaker 2: of people who'd been murdered over this, and He said
- 32:01Speaker 2: he quote directed people with that knowledge to the appropriate authorities.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Who are the appropriate authorities?
- 32:06Speaker 3: Yeah in that case, what does that mean? Yeah, like legitimately,
- 32:12Speaker 3: I need to know what that means.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Yeah, Like you're saying that.
- 32:16Speaker 3: You know that people have been harmed or injuries. You
- 32:19Speaker 3: said that, and then now once somebody's say asking you
- 32:22Speaker 3: to verify, you're like, well, I directed people who knew
- 32:27Speaker 3: that to the right place. Yeah, I don't actually know that.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it's sketchy, it's some sketchy testimony.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:37Speaker 2: There was also testimony from Ryan Graves, a former Navy pilot.
- 32:43Speaker 2: He told the panel that he felt military pilots are
- 32:46Speaker 2: not adequately briefed on UAPs and are unprepared to respond
- 32:52Speaker 2: to encounters with them.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Sure.
- 32:54Speaker 2: He claimed that commercial airline pilots have spotted UAPs also,
- 32:58Speaker 2: which I mean, and that would stand a reason.
- 33:01Speaker 3: If it's happening as frequently as people are claiming, then
- 33:03Speaker 3: sure probably.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Yeah they're up in the sky. Also, So in light
- 33:08Speaker 2: of all this, he wants some kind of official reporting
- 33:12Speaker 2: process for UAP sidings. This is a quote. There has
- 33:16Speaker 2: to be a safe and transparent reporting process for pilots,
- 33:20Speaker 2: both on the commercial side, and the military side to
- 33:24Speaker 2: be able to report UAPs, and I don't disagree with that, Like,
- 33:29Speaker 2: if this is a real thing, absolutely obviously.
- 33:31Speaker 3: I mean I think it makes sense that, regardless of
- 33:35Speaker 3: what it is, if you see something that you can't
- 33:39Speaker 3: explain while you're flying an airplane, you should be able
- 33:43Speaker 3: to report it to someone without fear of judgment or
- 33:47Speaker 3: persecution or whatever, regardless again of what the thing is.
- 33:52Speaker 2: And that's the whole thing he brings up that there
- 33:55Speaker 2: is absolutely a stigma around Yeah, being a person who's like, hey,
- 34:00Speaker 2: I saw a UFO and I want to tell someone, Yeah,
- 34:04Speaker 2: it makes it.
- 34:04Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, people frown on that, they cast your
- 34:09Speaker 3: aspersions on your judgment, and so I think that's totally fair. Like, again,
- 34:14Speaker 3: regardless of whether it's aliens or whatever, this just makes sense.
- 34:17Speaker 3: It's air safety.
- 34:19Speaker 2: And that's kind of the pushback I always have when
- 34:22Speaker 2: people are like, well, I'll believe UFOs are real when
- 34:26Speaker 2: I see some evidence, and it's like, but lots of
- 34:28Speaker 2: people have come forward with what they say is evidence,
- 34:31Speaker 2: and you're like, no, I don't, like that's obviously fake. Sure,
- 34:36Speaker 2: And it's like, well, who is it going to take
- 34:38Speaker 2: to tell you that UFOs are real before you're like,
- 34:41Speaker 2: all right, I believe it, Like, is it going to
- 34:43Speaker 2: have to be like Jesus.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Well, sure, I think for most people. I think most
- 34:48Speaker 3: people would say they would need to see it for themselves,
- 34:53Speaker 3: which I don't agree with necessarily.
- 34:56Speaker 2: But no, like I've never I don't know. I don't
- 34:59Speaker 2: think I've ever seen an elephant like in real life.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Really yeah, I don't think so, but I know they're real.
- 35:05Speaker 3: They are real.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Like I've never seen a giant squid.
- 35:08Speaker 3: I have never seen a giant squid, but they are real.
- 35:10Speaker 2: They exist. They didn't get one on camera for like
- 35:13Speaker 2: a long, long long.
- 35:14Speaker 3: Time until like I was in high school basically very recently,
- 35:19Speaker 3: very recently.
- 35:20Speaker 2: I trust that they're real. Yeah, it was cool, Like
- 35:23Speaker 2: that can't be the thing. It can't be. Well, I've
- 35:27Speaker 2: never seen one, so I know that they're fake. Like
- 35:30Speaker 2: I don't know. There's lots of things I've never seen
- 35:32Speaker 2: that I know are real.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Yep.
- 35:34Speaker 2: So I don't know, but I understand the risk, Like
- 35:37Speaker 2: I understand like even science, it's been a thing that's
- 35:41Speaker 2: been talked about a bunch where like you kind of
- 35:44Speaker 2: just don't investigate stuff like this otherwise your peers are
- 35:47Speaker 2: going to be like, oh, so you're a crazy person.
- 35:51Speaker 3: Yeah, sometimes, you know, obviously there are more open minds
- 35:56Speaker 3: than others.
- 35:56Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah, and yeah, right now, the FAA, if
- 36:01Speaker 2: you contact them and you're like, hey, I saw UFO
- 36:05Speaker 2: in the sky, they refer you to like citizen run groups,
- 36:09Speaker 2: which I'm assuming means moof on.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Maybe that would be weird though.
- 36:14Speaker 2: But I mean, who else, Like they're the main one,
- 36:17Speaker 2: maybe sei, Yeah, but Seti's just like fucking dishes. It's
- 36:24Speaker 2: got to be move on. I don't know who else
- 36:26Speaker 2: it would be, Like the government didn't the government sort
- 36:30Speaker 2: of set up move on, Like move On is referenced
- 36:34Speaker 2: in like really early it's a it's the oldie it's
- 36:38Speaker 2: government UFO things and they're still around, Like I can't.
- 36:41Speaker 3: They should really go by move app now they should?
- 36:44Speaker 2: They should, And yeah, it's got to be them. I
- 36:49Speaker 2: can't imagine who else it would be. But it does
- 36:52Speaker 2: stand to reason that the government should have some sort
- 36:55Speaker 2: of mechanism.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Again, it just makes sense. You know, when you're flying
- 36:59Speaker 3: a specially for commercial airlines, like your main priority is
- 37:05Speaker 3: the safety of your passengers and not being able to
- 37:08Speaker 3: report on something that you've seen for fear of stigma
- 37:11Speaker 3: contributes to an unsafe environment. Yeah.
- 37:14Speaker 2: So there was also testimony from a former Navy commander
- 37:20Speaker 2: named David frav Yeah, he's one of the pilots you
- 37:23Speaker 2: hear houton and hollerin in those UFO TICTAC videos right
- 37:29Speaker 2: that the Navy released. He said when he spotted one
- 37:32Speaker 2: of those, his plane was above it and he started
- 37:36Speaker 2: descending to see what it was, and that when he
- 37:39Speaker 2: did that, this tic TAC shaped craft, which isn't it
- 37:43Speaker 2: just an oval?
- 37:44Speaker 3: That's fine, sure, but it's the saying tic TAC.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess a tic TAC in an oval art.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Right, Like it's oval, but it's describing a three D
- 37:53Speaker 3: oval a capsule, Yeah, capsule, a capsule craft. Oh man,
- 37:58Speaker 3: that makes it sound like dragon Ball is invading us.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Nice.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Anyway, he said this craft started ascending toward him. He
- 38:06Speaker 2: said it had no visible rotors, wings or exhausted right.
- 38:09Speaker 2: He said it started approaching his fighter jet and then
- 38:14Speaker 2: it vanished and then reappeared a few seconds later sixty
- 38:19Speaker 2: miles away, Which that's pretty neat if it's true. Yeah,
- 38:24Speaker 2: this is a quote. The technology that we faced is
- 38:28Speaker 2: far superior to anything that we had, and there's nothing
- 38:32Speaker 2: we can do about it.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 38:34Speaker 2: That's kind of cool.
- 38:35Speaker 3: It's a good line.
- 38:36Speaker 2: It's got like, if there really is nothing right, we'll
- 38:40Speaker 2: just do it and let me watch exactly, like, destroy
- 38:43Speaker 2: Earth while I'm alive, please, absolutely, like I want to
- 38:48Speaker 2: see that.
- 38:48Speaker 3: I don't want Earth to keep going after I'm gone.
- 38:52Speaker 2: No, why would I want that? People just live in
- 38:57Speaker 2: their lives acting like they're happy even though I'm not
- 39:00Speaker 2: around it. How could those two things both be true
- 39:04Speaker 2: at the same time. I don't get it.
- 39:07Speaker 3: Yeah, it makes no sense.
- 39:08Speaker 2: So what are the government's thoughts right on this? A
- 39:12Speaker 2: top Pentagon official named doctor Sean Kirkpatrick called these hearings insultant.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Okay, whatever you say, Sean.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Yeah, he is also a career military intelligence officer, so
- 39:25Speaker 2: you know, pick your lesser of two evils here. He
- 39:29Speaker 2: was named a year ago to lead the Pentagon's All
- 39:32Speaker 2: Domain Anomaly Resolution Office aka ARROW.
- 39:37Speaker 3: You know, I know that that is probably evil, like
- 39:43Speaker 3: fundamentally evil, but it's it's a pretty cool name.
- 39:47Speaker 2: It's a pretty great name, no doubt about.
- 39:50Speaker 3: The All Domain Anomaly Resolution Office.
- 39:54Speaker 2: And here's where I'm skeptical. Apparently this Department was inten
- 40:00Speaker 2: to just centralize investigations into UAPs. Sure, and it's like, oh,
- 40:06Speaker 2: so you mean the space CIA, because that's what the
- 40:10Speaker 2: CIA was intended to be also, and it's like I
- 40:14Speaker 2: don't trust that that much. Sorry.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Sure.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Kirkpatrick issued this condemnation by way of a letter posted
- 40:22Speaker 2: on his personal LinkedIn page. This is a quote, cannot
- 40:26Speaker 2: let yesterday's hearing pass without sharing how insulting it was
- 40:32Speaker 2: to the officers of the Department of Defense and Intelligence
- 40:36Speaker 2: community who chose to join ARROW, many with not unreasonable
- 40:42Speaker 2: anxieties about the career risks this would entail. They are
- 40:47Speaker 2: truth seekers, as am I. But you certainly would not
- 40:50Speaker 2: get that impression from yesterday's hearing.
- 40:53Speaker 3: That's that's quite an impression. You know his name, Sean Kirkpatrick.
- 40:56Speaker 3: I'd probably go with I couldn't let yesterday's hearing pass
- 41:00Speaker 3: without sharing how insulting it was.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Either way, I don't trust On. No, I don't trust
- 41:08Speaker 2: On at all. Like he's kind of confirming what this
- 41:13Speaker 2: guy's saying. For one thing, He's like, well, the anxiety
- 41:16Speaker 2: is over researching this. Those aren't unreasonable, Sure, And it's like, well,
- 41:21Speaker 2: that's what grush is saying in this hearing.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Too kind that's part of it.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, it's it's also that same thing as
- 41:30Speaker 2: when like there's a police shooting and that same police
- 41:34Speaker 2: department is like, all right, we're gonna investigate it and
- 41:37Speaker 2: get to the bottom of it. It's like, all right,
- 41:38Speaker 2: but can someone else do it also?
- 41:41Speaker 3: Nope?
- 41:42Speaker 2: And like this is the Pentagon being like, don't worry,
- 41:45Speaker 2: we're looking into what the Pentagon knows about UFOs. It's like,
- 41:49Speaker 2: I bet you are.
- 41:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, look, I don't trust anybody who's job
- 41:55Speaker 3: title is career intelligence officer.
- 41:57Speaker 2: No. No, And that's the problem. Like everyone on every
- 42:01Speaker 2: side of this is at least kind of US intelligence officer.
- 42:07Speaker 2: It's like, ah, what if you're all wrong. So let's
- 42:11Speaker 2: close by talking about a internet rumor that came out
- 42:17Speaker 2: of these hearings, which is the idea that Congress was
- 42:21Speaker 2: read a letter that was written by aliens. Sure. This
- 42:26Speaker 2: is a claim that started spreading shortly after the hearings ended.
- 42:31Speaker 2: It is accompanied by video, which makes it very convincing.
- 42:36Speaker 2: And the claim was that the letter in question warned
- 42:40Speaker 2: about the Earth's eventual destruction by way of climate change,
- 42:45Speaker 2: and that this letter was read during these UFO hearings.
- 42:50Speaker 2: It all started with a tweet, like so many other
- 42:53Speaker 2: bad things in the world do, that claimed to show
- 42:56Speaker 2: video of that letter being read at this hearing. And
- 42:59Speaker 2: it's pretty convincing stuff, provided you did not watch the hearings,
- 43:03Speaker 2: because if you had, you would recognize immediately that it's
- 43:07Speaker 2: a completely different hearings, not from these UFO hearings. The
- 43:12Speaker 2: video is from an event that happened ten years ago
- 43:17Speaker 2: at the National Press Club in Washington, DC called the
- 43:20Speaker 2: Citizen Hearing on UFO Disclosure. Yeah, the Washington Post reported
- 43:27Speaker 2: on it at the time. It was not Congress. It
- 43:31Speaker 2: was a group of six former Congress members who were
- 43:36Speaker 2: paid twenty thousand dollars each to sit down and listen
- 43:41Speaker 2: to thirty hours of UFO testimony from UFO experts, who
- 43:46Speaker 2: then filmed it and put it online. And they were like, listen,
- 43:50Speaker 2: Congress is taken this seriously. Finally, but the letter in
- 43:56Speaker 2: question is actually a thing, like we'll link to one
- 44:02Speaker 2: of the articles that debunks this, and yes, what they
- 44:07Speaker 2: point out is that this letter in question is from
- 44:09Speaker 2: a book. It's from a book called The Keepers, An
- 44:13Speaker 2: Alien Message for the Human Race by a guy named
- 44:17Speaker 2: Jim Sparks.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Sure.
- 44:18Speaker 2: And the thing about Jim Sparks and what makes this
- 44:22Speaker 2: so interesting to me, there was a point where Jim
- 44:25Speaker 2: Sparks was like one of the pre eminent experts not
- 44:30Speaker 2: only on UFOs and alien abductions, but also the notion
- 44:36Speaker 2: that the government is suppressing alien technology that could help
- 44:42Speaker 2: us with climate change. And he made these claims way
- 44:47Speaker 2: way back in I think it's ninety six or ninety seven,
- 44:53Speaker 2: Like he was saying all of the same things that
- 44:56Speaker 2: like Stephen Greer and people of the like are saying now, right,
- 45:00Speaker 2: But Jim Spark seems to have just completely disappeared. I
- 45:05Speaker 2: can't find anything about him dying. I can't find anything
- 45:10Speaker 2: about like work he's done since then. He was interviewed
- 45:14Speaker 2: by Art Bell. There's an interview out there, like you
- 45:18Speaker 2: can still find that on YouTube. But then he just
- 45:22Speaker 2: kind of like vanishes the book he wrote, like the
- 45:26Speaker 2: publishing company doesn't mention it anymore. The publishing company also
- 45:32Speaker 2: at first it looks like a publishing company still, but
- 45:34Speaker 2: then you scroll down and now they're selling watches. There's
- 45:38Speaker 2: just like no information out there about this book anymore.
- 45:42Speaker 2: But there was a time where people were like this
- 45:45Speaker 2: guy seems like he's not crazy, and if you listen
- 45:48Speaker 2: to his interviews, he doesn't. He's very matter of fact
- 45:51Speaker 2: sure about everything.
- 45:53Speaker 3: You know, maybe he just went off the grid. If
- 45:57Speaker 3: he's that much of a climate like hardcore climate guy,
- 46:01Speaker 3: maybe he like it could be Yeah, maybe he's just
- 46:04Speaker 3: like chilling.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Yeah, his name's again Jim Sparks. If you're listening, Jim,
- 46:10Speaker 2: reach out, because for sure, I want to know what
- 46:13Speaker 2: happened to you. It's the same thing as in it.
- 46:15Speaker 2: It's the same thing as the guy who wrote the
- 46:18Speaker 2: book that we based all of the Jonestown episodes on, right,
- 46:22Speaker 2: guy named Michael Myers.
- 46:24Speaker 3: Not that one no relation, wait, but the other one both.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Yeah, he's actually secretly related to both government just doesn't
- 46:31Speaker 2: want to let you know. And like that guy too,
- 46:34Speaker 2: like he's just like in the wind now, Like we
- 46:38Speaker 2: talked to the publisher of that book for that episode
- 46:41Speaker 2: and the guy's like, yeah, he just like showed up
- 46:44Speaker 2: and kind of dropped off his book and we've never
- 46:47Speaker 2: fucking heard from him again. It's like, so, is that
- 46:50Speaker 2: guy the conspiracy or is Jonestown the conspiracy? And it's
- 46:55Speaker 2: the same thing here, Like who the fuck is Jim Sparks.
- 46:58Speaker 2: It's just like gone now. So one of the things
- 47:02Speaker 2: I've been kind of kicking around for possible bonus episodes
- 47:08Speaker 2: for the subscribers is to do like a book club
- 47:12Speaker 2: kind of thing where we read a book and talk
- 47:16Speaker 2: about it. And, as luck would have it, Jim Sparks book.
- 47:19Speaker 2: It's not super easy to find. Yeah, but by that
- 47:23Speaker 2: I just mean if you stop at Amazon, it's not
- 47:26Speaker 2: super easy to find. You can still get it on
- 47:28Speaker 2: paperback there, yeah, but you can also get it on
- 47:31Speaker 2: Barnes and Noble as an ebook for like seven ninety nine.
- 47:34Speaker 2: And again the book is called The Keepers, An Alien
- 47:38Speaker 2: Message for the Human Race by Jim Sparks.
- 47:40Speaker 3: Now, is there an audio book?
- 47:42Speaker 2: There might be. I have not.
- 47:44Speaker 3: I'll have to look that up.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Hit.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Maybe I could just find some crazy person who's read
- 47:49Speaker 3: it all out loud at then.
- 47:53Speaker 2: Yeah, there might be an audio book also. I mean
- 47:56Speaker 2: Amazon and Audible are both essential Amazon, so might not be.
- 48:02Speaker 2: But let's look.
- 48:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I was gonna say, there's no way that that
- 48:05Speaker 3: title hasn't been used a a billion time.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a true crime show also.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Maybe search for uh the author Jim Sparks Time Travel
- 48:15Speaker 3: is Jim Sparks The Keepers? That can't be it. It's
- 48:19Speaker 3: only an hour in twenty six minutes. This is a podcast.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, but also it seems like it's from twenty
- 48:26Speaker 2: twenty three, so maybe Jim Sparks is alive and well
- 48:30Speaker 2: maybe either way. I think on our next episode we're
- 48:34Speaker 2: going to cover that book totally. And uh, if you
- 48:37Speaker 2: the people at home want to follow along, just go
- 48:41Speaker 2: find that book and read it and hell yeah, we'll
- 48:43Speaker 2: all talk about it on the next episode. Until then,
- 48:46Speaker 2: I think we did it. I think so, I think
- 48:49Speaker 2: we I think we covered these UFO hearings.
- 48:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm convinced, Oh totally. I wish there was more,
- 48:55Speaker 3: you know, Like I said, when I saw people getting
- 48:57Speaker 3: all riled up about new a testimony, I was like,
- 49:01Speaker 3: oh cool, I can't wait to see what new evidence.
- 49:05Speaker 2: And it really is just a lot more of the same. Yeah,
- 49:09Speaker 2: like a lot of what we've heard, but kind of
- 49:13Speaker 2: a little bit less. So Olivia, thank you so much.
- 49:16Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Do you have anything to plug before we get out
- 49:19Speaker 2: of here.
- 49:20Speaker 3: You can find me on X there. People hate people
- 49:26Speaker 3: get mad at me when I get mad at you
- 49:29Speaker 3: when I when I call it X and when I
- 49:31Speaker 3: talk about xing, I find it.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Yes, that's what they're calling it now, well else he's
- 49:37Speaker 2: supposed to call it. It's not Twitter anymore. Baby on
- 49:40Speaker 2: Blue Sky, you call it skeet.
- 49:41Speaker 3: Well, no see, and that's one that I refuse. I
- 49:46Speaker 3: will never see.
- 49:48Speaker 2: And uh yeah, I don't think I have anything to plug. Yeah,
- 49:50Speaker 2: fucking whatever, Let's get out of here, Olivia say goodbye, bye,
- 49:54Speaker 2: goodbye everybody. We love you. People of Earth. Your planets
- 50:03Speaker 2: have to be destroyed.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Stretched, stretch, your planets have to be destroyed.
