- 1:44Speaker 1: is what it is. That's what they say, is to.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Do, that's what they do. Say all right, you just
- 1:47Speaker 2: put this one in the can and save it till

- 2:41Speaker 1: and I normally I do not normally work. I'm not.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I'm not in one of these roles where I'm working
- 2:47Speaker 1: like people are like, oh, I work like sixty hours
- 2:49Speaker 1: a week or something. No, I work my forty and
- 2:52Speaker 1: I'm usually done. But every once in a while, like
- 2:55Speaker 1: every every probably every six weeks or so, I have
- 2:59Speaker 1: a lot of stuff that is due all at the
- 3:01Speaker 1: same time, and people move schedules and so. Anyway, so
- 3:05Speaker 1: I had to work till seven last night, and then
- 3:07Speaker 1: I had to drive to New Mexico today, which is
- 3:09Speaker 1: just exhausting.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Yawn, Yon, I gotta say yon, because I yawned. You
- 3:17Speaker 2: didn't Oh, I.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Didn't say I thought you were just saying what I
- 3:20Speaker 1: was saying was boring. It is, okay, Well what'd you
- 3:23Speaker 1: do today? Stupid?
- 3:24Speaker 2: Move on? I clean the pool, yawn, took the children out.

- 4:28Speaker 1: and so let's go ahead and get into this week's
- 4:31Speaker 1: episode Out of Texas. So with this episode, we meet
- 4:35Speaker 1: Brian Cargill. Now, Brian was born in Wichita Falls, Texas.
- 4:39Speaker 1: His parents did divorce after three years of marriage and
- 4:43Speaker 1: he ends up living with his mom full time. Now
- 4:45Speaker 1: his mom, she was a single mother. They struggled and
- 4:49Speaker 1: they just moved a lot. They moved around a lot.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Yeah, he went like twenty damn schools between elementary and
- 4:54Speaker 2: high schoolers.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Well it wasn't twenty it was he ended up in
- 4:57Speaker 1: six different schools by the time time he graduated.
- 5:01Speaker 2: I thought he went six and elementary, and then he
- 5:03Speaker 2: moved like three times and jail.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Maybe it was nine and then another No, I thought
- 5:08Speaker 1: he said it was like he moved a whole He
- 5:10Speaker 1: moved like a not a normal amount of time.
- 5:12Speaker 2: We didn't watch the same episode.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Then, okay, whatever, God, the one, the one?
- 5:18Speaker 2: What do I don't know? Whatever it was, I don't remember.
- 5:21Speaker 1: The Brian laundry one. You said that they said something
- 5:25Speaker 1: and I was like, I didn't catch that anyway. So
- 5:28Speaker 1: basically though, he his mom was a single mother. You know,
- 5:31Speaker 1: she's having to move around, change your jobs, things like that.
- 5:33Speaker 1: They moved schools a lot. Stu's doing the single lady
- 5:37Speaker 1: dance over there. He just be thankful. This is an
- 5:43Speaker 1: audio program. There are no cameras rolling right now.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Yes, we have faces made for audio podcasts.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Did you just say that about me?
- 5:52Speaker 2: No, you said we have said. I said me have
- 5:57Speaker 2: faces you I would never Okay.
- 6:03Speaker 1: So Brian took a real interest in buildings and structures
- 6:07Speaker 1: and decided to study architecture in college. After graduation, he
- 6:11Speaker 1: ended up working in Dallas, Texas. Now, Brian he always
- 6:14Speaker 1: wanted a stable life with a good career, and just
- 6:17Speaker 1: like that traditional nuclear family. And this was a dude
- 6:21Speaker 1: to a lot of how he grew up. He just
- 6:23Speaker 1: craved like stability, you know, get married for life, have
- 6:29Speaker 1: a baby, live in one place, things like that. So
- 6:34Speaker 1: he did end up marrying young, but just after a
- 6:37Speaker 1: few years, his wife she's.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Like a one out going to the club, buddy.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I'm getting out. Well, he was very upset about this
- 6:46Speaker 1: and just felt like he was, you know, part of
- 6:48Speaker 1: another broken family, which they did not have children yet,
- 6:50Speaker 1: so there's that plus as they got out before then, well,
- 6:54Speaker 1: Brian went through the divorce and about nine months after
- 6:57Speaker 1: it was finalized, his friend at him up on a
- 7:01Speaker 1: blind date with a woman named Kimberly West.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Now.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Kimberly was a twenty seven year old receptionist. His friend
- 7:07Speaker 1: said she was pretty and vivacious and he they just
- 7:10Speaker 1: thought that they would be just a great match. And
- 7:13Speaker 1: when Brian showed up for the date, he was pleasantly
- 7:15Speaker 1: surprised because she was good looking. You know, he didn't
- 7:18Speaker 1: have to you know, pretend, and you know, and Brian
- 7:21Speaker 1: is like so so when they showed the pictures, I
- 7:25Speaker 1: think he looks better now that he's older. In the
- 7:28Speaker 1: in the in the episode. Yeah, but when it was younger,
- 7:31Speaker 1: he looked like he played dungeons and dungeons and dragons.
- 7:34Speaker 1: That's all.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna cheetos.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Yeah, so cheetos?
- 7:40Speaker 2: Is that what they eat when they're playing dungeons?
- 7:42Speaker 1: I have no idea what I mean. I'm I'm into
- 7:45Speaker 1: Harry Potter and stuff, but I draw the line at
- 7:47Speaker 1: dungeons and dragons. Is it called D D, D and
- 7:51Speaker 1: D yes? Okay, did you play it? Okay?
- 7:57Speaker 2: Requires effort.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Uh. One of my brothers, some of his friends were
- 8:02Speaker 1: a little weird and they played it and everything. One
- 8:05Speaker 1: of them wore like a trench of coat, you know,
- 8:07Speaker 1: which was bad timing because of you know, Columbine and everything,
- 8:10Speaker 1: like not a good.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Nath Yes, oh, thank goodness.
- 8:15Speaker 1: The other guy, he the one guy had a brother.
- 8:17Speaker 1: I'm not even going to go into it because it's disturbing.
- 8:21Speaker 1: We won't talk about it. So anyways, so he meets
- 8:25Speaker 1: Kimberly and on this blind date and she's pretty fun.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Everything that he was expecting. Well, they also had just
- 8:33Speaker 1: a you know, like quite a few things in common
- 8:35Speaker 1: because Kimberly was recently divorced and she was going through
- 8:40Speaker 1: a custody battle, so he could relate to that he
- 8:42Speaker 1: was just divorced and everything like that. Now, over the
- 8:45Speaker 1: next few weeks, Kim and Brian they continue to grow close.
- 8:47Speaker 1: They were talking on the phone all the time. Well,
- 8:50Speaker 1: he said that he started to fill this connection with
- 8:52Speaker 1: Kim that he just didn't have with his ex wife,
- 8:55Speaker 1: and he felt that it was a very romantic relationship.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I think he was very a tracted tours.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Basically, he was.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Lusting actual Kimberly. So they end up going after they're
- 9:08Speaker 1: talking on the so they go on the first date.
- 9:09Speaker 1: They're talking on the phone a lot. Over the next
- 9:11Speaker 1: few weeks, they decided to go on this second date,
- 9:13Speaker 1: but it.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Was actually at a divorce support group is where they
- 9:16Speaker 3: decided to go.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Like, why the fuck now.
- 9:19Speaker 2: No red flag? Red flag?
- 9:22Speaker 1: There's a lot of red flags.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I thought it was a circus.
- 9:30Speaker 1: They say, red flags just look like flags whenever you
- 9:34Speaker 1: got your rose colored glasses on. Really, yes, you get that,
- 9:38Speaker 1: you understand, Okay, So he's there's there's some red flags
- 9:43Speaker 1: going on. But they have decided to go to this
- 9:45Speaker 1: divorce support group. I guess because they both were coming
- 9:48Speaker 1: out of divorce and this was just something they were
- 9:50Speaker 1: going to go do together. Start dating at the divorce.
- 9:53Speaker 2: So maybe he was dating for a marriage, and he's like,
- 9:55Speaker 2: I got to go do the things she's interested in doing.
- 9:57Speaker 1: And maybe because it was her group, because you're gonna
- 10:00Speaker 1: here soon, it was her group, So Brian, he gets
- 10:02Speaker 1: there early and he goes in like a normal person.
- 10:05Speaker 1: He grabs a seat. He saves one next to him
- 10:07Speaker 1: for Kimberly. Uh, we're gonna start calling her Kim because
- 10:10Speaker 1: that's what I typed, because I couldn't because Kimberly is
- 10:13Speaker 1: much longer name than you know. I shortenessed to Kim anyway,
- 10:17Speaker 1: So Kim, he seats.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Are you sure Kim is okay with us?
- 10:20Speaker 1: O can fuck what Kim wants to. Maybe we should
- 10:25Speaker 1: care though she's crazy, So he puts he saves the
- 10:29Speaker 1: seat next to him, like a normal a normal thing
- 10:32Speaker 1: that you would do well. Kim arrives and immediately Brian
- 10:37Speaker 1: knows there's something off about this whole thing. She was
- 10:41Speaker 1: visibly angry when she walked in.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Been there, I've seen that.
- 10:47Speaker 1: She's visibly angry. And she goes in and she doesn't
- 10:50Speaker 1: sit next to him in the seat that he's says,
- 10:51Speaker 1: she sets across from him and then just glick. I
- 10:55Speaker 1: can imagine with her arms crossed. It's something similar I would.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Do to stew Yes.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Stu's felt that those daggers before coming out. I'm just
- 11:04Speaker 1: I could see.
- 11:05Speaker 2: The whole thing, but I just poke in pride.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I know. Stu just continues to poke and prode until
- 11:10Speaker 1: I like snap, and then I'm on snapped, and then
- 11:13Speaker 1: I'm on knives with wives, and then you're not worried
- 11:16Speaker 1: about who the bleep did I marry? You're like, this
- 11:17Speaker 1: bitch has got a knive and she's snapped. Anyways, go
- 11:23Speaker 1: on with what I'm just working in all the names
- 11:26Speaker 1: of the shows. Oh, Deadly Affairs, that's the one that
- 11:30Speaker 1: Susan Lucci host. Is she still alive?
- 11:36Speaker 2: Maybe?
- 11:38Speaker 1: Anyways, So afterwards, Kim confronts Brian in the hallway of
- 11:44Speaker 1: this like outside you know, it's usually they're meeting at
- 11:46Speaker 1: like a church or a schools there in this hallway
- 11:49Speaker 1: or whatever, and she confronts him saying that it was
- 11:53Speaker 1: her group, and then he should have not gone in
- 11:55Speaker 1: without her. He should have waited, He should have stood
- 11:57Speaker 1: out there and waited. Maybe she's right, you know, I'm
- 12:00Speaker 1: sorrying to think maybe she was right. She then just
- 12:02Speaker 1: grabs his face. He says, she grabbed my face. She
- 12:07Speaker 1: kisses him, and then she storms off like he should
- 12:11Speaker 1: have exited stage left immediately after this. He should not
- 12:16Speaker 1: have stayed around.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Sounds exciting to me.
- 12:18Speaker 1: That's well, that's what I was saying. He was a little,
- 12:21Speaker 1: you know, dorky looking, and Kim was you know, uh pretty.
- 12:25Speaker 1: We didn't see a lot of pictures of her when
- 12:27Speaker 1: she was younger, but she was attractive.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll kicked this cup.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Yes, and so this is like probably some like passionate excitement.
- 12:35Speaker 1: That's what he made it sound like they had this
- 12:37Speaker 1: kind of passionate relationship, and so he was. He was
- 12:40Speaker 1: there for it, even though it was crazy. Well, he
- 12:44Speaker 1: does think this is weird. However, he does.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Give him a chub sounds like a half chubb. Might
- 12:52Speaker 2: be a fall on chub, we don't know, but he
- 12:54Speaker 2: sounded when he was talking about it, he sounded a
- 12:57Speaker 2: little excited about the story, like it was going back
- 13:00Speaker 2: to it and thinking.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Yeah, he was. He was into it for sure, a
- 13:06Speaker 1: little bit a little rough, you know. So he continues
- 13:09Speaker 1: to see her and they didn't even really talk about
- 13:12Speaker 1: this incident, which I can I can imagine.
- 13:15Speaker 2: They just never talked about it ever again got on
- 13:17Speaker 2: this show.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Oh no, imagine it's just like this uncomfortable moment, and
- 13:23Speaker 3: so he's just like, I'm not gonna bring it up,
- 13:24Speaker 3: or she's not gonna bring.
- 13:29Speaker 1: My chob was.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Was in her leg, Okay, I was. I don't know
- 13:38Speaker 3: why I felt this so funny. Anyways, get it together,
- 13:42Speaker 3: get it together, okay. So le Stu was saying. Brian
- 13:47Speaker 3: said that it just awakened passions in him, that these
- 13:51Speaker 3: were his words that he did not know he had,
- 13:53Speaker 3: and he quickly fell in love love. I think he
- 14:00Speaker 3: was thinking with a different head.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Yes, Carrington, I remember we went and watched that. We
- 14:08Speaker 1: went to that comedy show, didn't we yat on Rouge.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Stud's getting after me about my TikTok. I just want
- 14:17Speaker 1: to say, if an entire government is out to get me,
- 14:19Speaker 1: how am I supposed to? Stuart? You spend all your
- 14:24Speaker 1: time on the stupid build a blog thing or whatever,
- 14:27Speaker 1: build a bear or whatever it is, the little screwing
- 14:31Speaker 1: things and unscrewing things and like moving things.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm building the gate, I'm building the gazebo. I'm
- 14:41Speaker 2: painting things, and yes I play.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Well, I'm doing other things too, but sometimes I like
- 14:46Speaker 1: to just mindlessly scroll. Stewart, Okay, I'm writing a podcast episode,
- 14:51Speaker 1: all right, just just get on with it.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, fine. Brian and Kim are a few months
- 14:58Speaker 2: and of their relationship. Kim's going through her custody battle
- 15:01Speaker 2: with her ex, and she asked Brian to come and
- 15:03Speaker 2: be a character witness on her behalf in the courtroom
- 15:07Speaker 2: red flag, probably at least number two that we know,
- 15:10Speaker 2: probably fifteen that he hasn't said anything about.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I just feel like, maybe if you're trying to
- 15:17Speaker 1: get your child, why would you bring in your boyfriend
- 15:21Speaker 1: for the last couple of months. Yeah, and why don't
- 15:24Speaker 1: you have other people to be the character witness ones?
- 15:27Speaker 1: You don't have to like trap with your you know, Vagina.
- 15:33Speaker 2: You're Kitty, your Jingo taking the skin boat to tune
- 15:38Speaker 2: it down.
- 15:41Speaker 1: That's a quote from what was it? Okay?
- 15:46Speaker 2: Can we just get that Brian agrees for some reason.
- 15:50Speaker 1: We know why, Stewart, we know why. I see previous
- 15:54Speaker 1: line awaken passions in him.
- 15:58Speaker 2: So he's there at the courthouse m H. And Kim's
- 16:02Speaker 2: other friend is there to support her friend.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I would like to use the bunnies.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Around that bunny quotes. Yeah, yes, because this friend slips
- 16:11Speaker 2: Brian Kim's psychological profile. He said it had a ton
- 16:16Speaker 2: of words and diagnoses, diagnoses that he did not really understand.
- 16:21Speaker 2: But he did say that she was diagnosed with borderline personalities.
- 16:25Speaker 1: It also said he also said it said narcissism. And
- 16:28Speaker 1: it's like, those are not those are not a big,
- 16:31Speaker 1: you know, therapy psychiatrist's words. Those are everyday things that
- 16:35Speaker 1: people I understand. I don't have to be a psychiatrist be.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Like borderline personality disorder that's not good, narcissists, that's not good.
- 16:46Speaker 3: But he was.
- 16:47Speaker 1: He acts like he was so confused by it all,
- 16:49Speaker 1: all the big words.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Yes, So he immediately showed it to her and he's like,
- 16:53Speaker 2: I ain't doing this no more. We're breaking up. Just kidding.
- 16:56Speaker 2: He did not. He was not so sure or he
- 17:01Speaker 2: believed the friend are he believed what wait, no, wrong?
- 17:06Speaker 1: Kim told her that told him that that her ex
- 17:09Speaker 1: paid off the psychiatrist to falsify the results. Yes, the profile, yes,
- 17:15Speaker 1: which like wait a minute, yeah.
- 17:18Speaker 2: There's another red flag. I mean, what's Brian.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Thinking, yeah, Brian's thinking Stu.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Yeah, Brian, He's not sure he's believing Kim. But since
- 17:29Speaker 2: Kim lost in court that day she lost custody to
- 17:32Speaker 2: the ex, He's like, hey, I ain't got to do nothing. Now,
- 17:35Speaker 2: He's like, I ain't got to bring it up. She
- 17:37Speaker 2: don't want to talk about it. I don't want to
- 17:38Speaker 2: talk about it.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I want to get late.
- 17:40Speaker 2: I want, you know, some some comfort sects tonight. Yeah.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Brian and Kim continue to date, but according to Brian,
- 17:49Speaker 2: Kim became very volatile in this relationship and he felt
- 17:53Speaker 2: like he had to walk on eggshells around her so
- 17:56Speaker 2: that he didn't set her off and she wouldn't be like,
- 17:58Speaker 2: why are you so stupid? Like all the time?
- 18:03Speaker 1: Shut up?
- 18:09Speaker 3: He's saying that because because I just said.
- 18:12Speaker 1: That off air, off recording. He's so annoying.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Why just because I got lost on where my when
- 18:26Speaker 2: I was raiding? Yes, Finally, after five months together, Brian
- 18:34Speaker 2: decided he was going to break it off.
- 18:35Speaker 3: This is only five months, people, We're only We're only
- 18:38Speaker 3: five months. He's been through divorced support group, He's been
- 18:42Speaker 3: assaulted in the hallway with the aggressive kissing and the
- 18:45Speaker 3: face holding.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Probably penis grabbing, but he didn't say that she probably
- 18:49Speaker 2: grabbed his penis when she did it too.
- 18:52Speaker 3: He was trying to keep it pg for the kids.
- 18:54Speaker 3: He's gone to court for her custody battle to be
- 18:57Speaker 3: a character witness. Found out she's crazy. All of this
- 19:00Speaker 3: is all in five months. I mean, she really packs
- 19:03Speaker 3: it in.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you can't say she's not trying.
- 19:06Speaker 1: No, she's trying to make it on a Discovery channel,
- 19:11Speaker 1: a true crime episode.
- 19:12Speaker 2: That's what it sounded like to me. So Brian decides
- 19:15Speaker 2: he's going to break it off, but he done broke
- 19:17Speaker 2: it off and Kimberly won too many times stuid because
- 19:21Speaker 2: she says I'm pregnant Brian, oh, and he's like he
- 19:27Speaker 2: was like, oh Jesus. So he immediately has a sense
- 19:30Speaker 2: of dread, and he had a bad feeling about the
- 19:32Speaker 2: future with this woman. But he didn't want to walk
- 19:35Speaker 2: away from his girlfriend, who was now pregnant with his child.
- 19:39Speaker 2: He didn't necessarily want to marry him, and he told
- 19:42Speaker 2: her that they didn't have to get married, but she
- 19:44Speaker 2: said that if he didn't marry her, he would never
- 19:47Speaker 2: see her or the child ever again.
- 19:50Speaker 1: So they became engaged.
- 19:54Speaker 2: She won yes, So they got engaged in June of
- 19:58Speaker 2: nineteen ninety four, married in a small ceremony in New Mexico.
- 20:02Speaker 2: It was Brian's mother's house.
- 20:04Speaker 1: I was just a New Mexico stud probably passed Brian's
- 20:07Speaker 1: mom's house.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Did you wave?
- 20:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Brian put on a brave face, but he was not
- 20:13Speaker 2: excited about the wedding.
- 20:16Speaker 3: After the nuptials, I can't believe he admitted this one.
- 20:20Speaker 2: He admitted that he went to the back of the
- 20:22Speaker 2: house somewhere and he just wept.
- 20:25Speaker 1: He said he had a good cry. God bless him.
- 20:29Speaker 2: But I wouldn't tell anybody that let me take that
- 20:32Speaker 2: one to the grave. Yeah, I would if nobody saw
- 20:35Speaker 2: me doing it. And they couldn't say no, I really no.
- 20:38Speaker 2: I don't know what you're talking about. Sometimes the fan
- 20:42Speaker 2: sounds like someone crying.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Anyway. So a few months after the wedding, Kim gives
- 20:49Speaker 1: birth to their son. And this son's name is Jamie.
- 20:52Speaker 1: And at first there wasn't There was like a time
- 20:55Speaker 1: of peace. It was short lived, but it was even Yeah,
- 20:59Speaker 1: a little short time of peacefulness right after the baby came,
- 21:03Speaker 1: and he's got you know, they're a little high from
- 21:05Speaker 1: having the baby. Maybe this is gonna work. Maybe she
- 21:08Speaker 1: just you know, she has the child, Maybe she's gonna
- 21:11Speaker 1: straighten up, be different.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Yeah, because hormones and a after birth are just they
- 21:16Speaker 2: just level right on out.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Yeah, they do. STI Stuve's been in the receiving end of.
- 21:22Speaker 2: End of I don't even know what you're like. What
- 21:25Speaker 2: I don't even remember what you're actually like when you're
- 21:27Speaker 2: not pregnant and hormonal.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Probably this right now, Stuart, Oh.
- 21:32Speaker 2: This is the best it can as good as it's
- 21:35Speaker 2: gonna get.
- 21:36Speaker 1: No, because I tried to explain to Stuart that they
- 21:40Speaker 1: say it takes two years for your hormones to level
- 21:44Speaker 1: out after you have a baby. Well, I just kept
- 21:46Speaker 1: getting pregnant and everything, and then I was pumping the
- 21:50Speaker 1: whole time.
- 21:51Speaker 2: So that's your I was pumping, I guess, Oh.
- 21:54Speaker 1: My god, Jesus Christ. Okay, moving on, moving on. So
- 22:01Speaker 1: they have this a little bit of time that it's peaceful,
- 22:03Speaker 1: but it didn't last long, and just a few weeks
- 22:05Speaker 1: later they had a major incident. So Brian just decided
- 22:10Speaker 1: he had he'd been having a day, you know, with
- 22:13Speaker 1: old Kim. So he goes and locks himself in a
- 22:15Speaker 1: room just trying to get away from the arguing. And
- 22:18Speaker 1: this is when Kim picks up a hammer threw it
- 22:21Speaker 1: at the wall where it lodged in there.
- 22:23Speaker 2: That's not true. What she came kicking the door. She's like,
- 22:26Speaker 2: you get your ass out of the motherfucker. So she
- 22:29Speaker 2: was banging on the door, kicking the door.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Is that?
- 22:31Speaker 1: What is this really happening? Just making this up?
- 22:33Speaker 2: Okay, because he was locked in the room, so she
- 22:35Speaker 2: was kicking the door.
- 22:37Speaker 3: She did.
- 22:37Speaker 2: He's like, fine, he walks out, and he walks out,
- 22:39Speaker 2: and then she whips the hammer at him.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Oh, I thought she whipped the hammer in the wall
- 22:44Speaker 1: while he was still in there and he came out.
- 22:45Speaker 2: No, he said, it almost missed his head. Oh, it
- 22:49Speaker 2: did miss his head, almost hit him, whizzed by his
- 22:52Speaker 2: ear or something embedded in the wall.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Yeah, And then she told him that not to remove it.
- 22:58Speaker 1: He was going to take the hammer out. She said, no,
- 23:00Speaker 1: don't take it out, as if it was just to
- 23:01Speaker 1: be left there as a warning.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Thinking that's the warning. Yeah, and every time you walk
- 23:06Speaker 2: by that, remember what this bitch is capable of doing.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Yeah, and doing all this with like a newborn baby
- 23:12Speaker 1: in now it's just insane. So a few more months
- 23:15Speaker 1: passed and it finally all came to a head when
- 23:17Speaker 1: Kim punched Brian in the face. They were in the car.
- 23:20Speaker 1: She just punches him and he immediately files for divorce
- 23:25Speaker 1: to He's like, okay, I'm at my that was like
- 23:28Speaker 1: the last straw. Okay, she's actually she's punched me. Now, baby, no, baby,
- 23:33Speaker 1: I got to get out of this this thing now.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Brian would now go through a tough custody battle as
- 23:40Speaker 1: the other exes went through, and Kim was just to
- 23:45Speaker 1: the point where she was just harassing Brian at work,
- 23:48Speaker 1: calling him incessantly. He sat up to fifty times a
- 23:51Speaker 1: day she was calling. And then you know, back then
- 23:55Speaker 1: she's calling and it's going through a yeah, like a raceist.
- 24:00Speaker 1: It's not like he's she's blowing up his iPhone or whatever.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I mean, we don't even have desk phones at work anymore,
- 24:06Speaker 1: Like we don't have those phones. Nobody has those. So
- 24:11Speaker 1: she's actually having a contact receptionist to buzz through to him,
- 24:15Speaker 1: and so the everyone at work.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Knows it's your wife.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Again, Brian, could you please stop telling your wife to
- 24:22Speaker 1: call from calling the office. Yeah, So it's it's becoming
- 24:26Speaker 1: awkward for him at work and everything, and everybody knows
- 24:28Speaker 1: he's having.
- 24:29Speaker 2: To deal with this and he's having marital issues.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Yes, I'm sure that at that point he had to
- 24:34Speaker 1: tell everybody at works, Hey, this bitch is crazy. I'm
- 24:37Speaker 1: trying to divorce her, but she has my baby.
- 24:39Speaker 2: So and I no, I ain't got no money for
- 24:41Speaker 2: an attorney to fight the custody.
- 24:43Speaker 1: So yeah, well, no, he had, he had money, but
- 24:46Speaker 1: he was. The problem was is that Kim wasn't working
- 24:50Speaker 1: and Brian was paying her rent for her to live in.
- 24:54Speaker 1: About seventy five percent of his paycheck was going to her,
- 24:57Speaker 1: leaving him only a small portion for him to live
- 25:00Speaker 1: in an apartment. Stuff. So he was I don't know
- 25:03Speaker 1: if he wanted to go to the point at that point.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I don't know if he was ready to do the
- 25:08Speaker 1: full you know, cut you off, get a lawyer, because
- 25:13Speaker 1: the problem is she had the baby. You know, that's
- 25:16Speaker 1: in bitches.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Back then, mama always get the mama's Well, she lost custody.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Other one, so no, they don't always get it. But
- 25:24Speaker 1: she had to be pretty fuck up pretty hard to
- 25:27Speaker 1: lose one, especially back then, because I don't feel like
- 25:30Speaker 1: they gave the it's more today they see that there's
- 25:34Speaker 1: two sides of the story. But I feel like there
- 25:36Speaker 1: was a time when it just was always default the mom,
- 25:38Speaker 1: unless the mom was really terrible.
- 25:42Speaker 2: In nineteen ninety five, the custody battle was finally settled,
- 25:45Speaker 2: Brian and Kim ended up with shared custody. Kim quickly
- 25:49Speaker 2: started using the sun as a way to control Brian,
- 25:52Speaker 2: as bitches will do be like, bitches be doing that. Yeah,
- 25:56Speaker 2: he said that he would go to pick him up.
- 25:59Speaker 2: She wouldn't let him. She'd call him out of the
- 26:01Speaker 2: blues like, hey, you're gonna come get him when it
- 26:03Speaker 2: wasn't his time. When it was his time, she'd withhold him.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Just basically happen with him. Now. As the years went on,
- 26:13Speaker 2: Brian was concerned for his son's safety because Kimberly was
- 26:16Speaker 2: a ratic and he wasn't sure what he could do.
- 26:20Speaker 2: It's not like he can go without an incident. You
- 26:23Speaker 2: can't just go to the judge and say, how I
- 26:25Speaker 2: just want to redo custody because it could go either way.
- 26:28Speaker 2: After you spend a shit ton of money.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and unless he has, you know, it seems like
- 26:34Speaker 1: it does take a lot, even if the child is
- 26:36Speaker 1: saying that something's happening. I don't feel like they take
- 26:39Speaker 1: the kids, you know, because they could be or they
- 26:42Speaker 1: could be one of them could be manipulated by the
- 26:44Speaker 1: other parent and everything that. So he doesn't have any actual.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Dad gives me chocolate after dinner. Mom done.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'm gonna go. Yeah. So they don't know which,
- 26:53Speaker 1: you know, I guess they have to kind of determine
- 26:58Speaker 1: whether the if he would have to go one to
- 27:00Speaker 1: go down that whole route of his son now being
- 27:02Speaker 1: interviewed by like CPS things like that, which is probably
- 27:05Speaker 1: traumatizing in and of itself.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Well, then there's Kim. So one day Kim decides to
- 27:12Speaker 2: snap and she attacks.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Decides to snap. Well, she made a decision.
- 27:18Speaker 2: And know what was that thing you said the other day?
- 27:20Speaker 2: That was, I don't know what I'm going to do
- 27:23Speaker 2: with this, but I have plans for it.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Yes, you think for I made a video about my
- 27:29Speaker 1: Goodwill purchases and I.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Said, I don't know why I bought this ball, but
- 27:35Speaker 2: I have plans for it.
- 27:36Speaker 3: I said, I don't know why I bought this ball.
- 27:38Speaker 3: I'm not sure what I'm doing with it. And then
- 27:39Speaker 3: I turned around and said, but it was a good deal.
- 27:42Speaker 1: But I have plates. No, I don't. I don't know
- 27:46Speaker 1: what my plans are, but they will. They're there, They're
- 27:50Speaker 1: floating in the universe.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Okay, Well, Kim deciding to snap a sarcas.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Oh my god, that this cat just busted up into
- 27:55Speaker 3: this room and scared this shit out of me. I
- 27:58Speaker 3: swear to god, I thought we.
- 28:01Speaker 2: We're going to be on an episode of a true
- 28:03Speaker 2: crime podcast.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Yes, okay, we got to go handle Jinks because he's crying.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Yes, So Kim snaps and she attacks the eleven year
- 28:16Speaker 2: old kid. So we've gone eleven years now from the
- 28:18Speaker 2: time that he was like, effet, I'm out of here
- 28:21Speaker 2: to this point in time. Now. What she actually does
- 28:24Speaker 2: is she takes a belt and she slips it over
- 28:26Speaker 2: his neck with the belt through the buckle part and
- 28:30Speaker 2: just starts pulling on it, choking the kid from behind,
- 28:34Speaker 2: and he's like blacking out and he finally gets away,
- 28:38Speaker 2: tells his dad about it. Brian's like what the hell.
- 28:41Speaker 2: He calls CPS. They have physical evidence. He's got bruising
- 28:45Speaker 2: on his arm, bruising on his necks from where she
- 28:47Speaker 2: attacked him, and the judge finally gives Brian full custody
- 28:52Speaker 2: of his son, but in the infinite wisdom of the judge,
- 28:57Speaker 2: they give Kim unsupervised visitation.
- 29:00Speaker 3: How is that?
- 29:01Speaker 1: Even I don't understand. This is what I feel like.
- 29:04Speaker 1: This is one of these judges, the way that they're
- 29:05Speaker 1: letting her because remember she lost custody with the previous one.
- 29:10Speaker 1: But this judge seems to be like one of these
- 29:12Speaker 1: that no matter what the mother does, we're just going
- 29:14Speaker 1: to side with the mother. Yeah, because there is no
- 29:17Speaker 1: way in hell they would give a dad unsupervised visitation
- 29:22Speaker 1: if he choked out one of his children. There's no,
- 29:25Speaker 1: absolutely no way.
- 29:26Speaker 2: No, you're going to get a supervised vegetation at a
- 29:28Speaker 2: facility or somebody's got to be there or something. Yes,
- 29:33Speaker 2: So Brian's worrying for his son every time he had
- 29:35Speaker 2: to drop him off with Kim. In the meantime, in
- 29:38Speaker 2: the interim, Brian somehow has time to meet another woman
- 29:42Speaker 2: and gets remarried again for the third time.
- 29:45Speaker 1: This is the love of his life, he says, which
- 29:48Speaker 1: I yes, which I think I think you would know, Stu.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I think.
- 29:58Speaker 2: What next time? No, No, this time is the charm.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Kim just gave up on men altogether. I mean, actually no,
- 30:12Speaker 2: she didn't. She got in another relationship, got her another sucker,
- 30:17Speaker 2: had another child, and then ended up getting divorced or
- 30:21Speaker 2: on our way to divorce, and in a custody battle
- 30:23Speaker 2: with that fella as well.
- 30:25Speaker 1: I mean, we're on rinse and repeat. At this point,
- 30:27Speaker 1: we're just literally the same story, different chapter, We're not.
- 30:31Speaker 1: She does the same thing, and I can't believe these
- 30:33Speaker 1: guys keep falling for this. I guess she maintains it
- 30:37Speaker 1: under the wraps for but she was crazy with Brian
- 30:40Speaker 1: right off from the beginning, I feel like, and he
- 30:42Speaker 1: just shows.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Him like he was a little excited about it.
- 30:45Speaker 1: I know he was. She must pick a certain type
- 30:47Speaker 1: of guy that's gonna fall for this. You know.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Well, she didn't throw the hammer at their head until
- 30:51Speaker 2: they're already married.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Well, she's already had the baby.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, she's just got them on lock down with
- 30:57Speaker 2: the rain, got the baby out, and then she chucks
- 30:59Speaker 2: the hand were at him, and it's like, oh shit,
- 31:01Speaker 2: what did I do?
- 31:02Speaker 1: Yeah, So Brian is now not the only person that
- 31:05Speaker 1: Kim was trying to make miserable. So she has, you know,
- 31:08Speaker 1: her first ex she has her next ex, and then
- 31:11Speaker 1: now she has her new ex husband and custody battle
- 31:14Speaker 1: to focus on.
- 31:14Speaker 2: She's got a lot of shit to spread around, a
- 31:16Speaker 2: lot of hatred to spread around. So not everybody's feeling
- 31:18Speaker 2: the full brunt of it.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Yes they are still concerned, but they're not feeling it
- 31:23Speaker 1: full force. Now she's going through the custody battle. She
- 31:28Speaker 1: had primary custody of their child, which I can't believe. Again,
- 31:32Speaker 1: why are we not referencing the other situations.
- 31:35Speaker 2: But maybe the fellow didn't know, or maybe he was
- 31:38Speaker 2: more fucked up than she was.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Somehow I doubt it. So she needed to find a
- 31:43Speaker 1: babysitter for the four year old while she was at work,
- 31:46Speaker 1: because she did go in to school and become a
- 31:49Speaker 1: registered nurse. She actually did go get a job. At
- 31:53Speaker 1: some points, I can't.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Imagine being land in the hospital room and she rolls
- 31:56Speaker 2: in there.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Yeah, so a friend mentioned a woman named Walker who
- 32:01Speaker 1: might be able to help. Cherry was a thirty nine
- 32:03Speaker 1: year old woman that was mentally operating at a sixth
- 32:07Speaker 1: grade level, but she was capable of watching, you know,
- 32:10Speaker 1: a child for a short period of time to make
- 32:12Speaker 1: some money.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Yes, she actually lived by herself.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Yeah, she lived on her own everything, So she was
- 32:18Speaker 1: she she was capable. She just but she did have
- 32:21Speaker 1: she did have to have an aid that would stop
- 32:23Speaker 1: by the house daily. But she was independent and she
- 32:27Speaker 1: was capable of taking care of a child. Now, Kim
- 32:31Speaker 1: quickly took advantage of Cherry because she was, you know, mentally,
- 32:35Speaker 1: you know, operating at that sixth grade level. And so
- 32:37Speaker 1: she this is like prime picking for all crazy Kim
- 32:42Speaker 1: over here. So she starts leaving with her son with
- 32:45Speaker 1: Cherry for days at a time, not paying her, not
- 32:48Speaker 1: leaving any food. Cherry was on a fixed income, so
- 32:52Speaker 1: she would often have to just not eat so that
- 32:55Speaker 1: the child could eat. Like she was a really nice
- 32:57Speaker 1: lady and she she but she didn't understand the full
- 33:00Speaker 1: capacity of what this woman was was doing. So this
- 33:03Speaker 1: aid is still stopping by at this time, but they
- 33:06Speaker 1: didn't really go into that dynamic. But I'm guessing the
- 33:10Speaker 1: aid she is an independent adult, so I mean, there's
- 33:14Speaker 1: only so much the aid can do. She can come
- 33:15Speaker 1: by and see. But if Cherry says it's okay with
- 33:18Speaker 1: the son, that she leaves the sun with me for
- 33:20Speaker 1: several days and she's okay with it, she's an adult,
- 33:24Speaker 1: and there's only so much I would say.
- 33:26Speaker 2: I got it.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Yeah, So what Kim was doing with the child, dropping
- 33:31Speaker 1: him off and everything like that and leaving him for
- 33:33Speaker 1: days on end got back to the ex husband because
- 33:37Speaker 1: Cherry did eventually stop watching the child, and then the
- 33:41Speaker 1: ex husband found out about it. They're going through this
- 33:43Speaker 1: custody battle. So Cherry is actually subpoenaed to testify about
- 33:48Speaker 1: Kim's treatment of the child, the dropping him off, not
- 33:52Speaker 1: leaving food, just her general behavior.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Now, how long have you left her? How long was
- 33:57Speaker 2: she leaving the child with you? And blah blah blah.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Yeah, so Cherry was like, oh shit, Yeah, she's in
- 34:03Speaker 1: a She's like, oh shit.
- 34:04Speaker 2: I'm about to get about it's the third child.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Yeah, which I don't understand. She doesn't, but I do
- 34:09Speaker 1: understand though she doesn't care about these children. She cares
- 34:12Speaker 1: about the power that these children hold over these men,
- 34:15Speaker 1: is what she cared. She could care less about the kids, obviously,
- 34:18Speaker 1: not care less. Could not care less, you know, stud.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Say, child support and the power.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Yes, I think she mainly she really enjoys she gets
- 34:27Speaker 1: off on that power trip that she gets.
- 34:29Speaker 2: I'm sure she wanted the cash too.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 34:32Speaker 2: On June eighteenth, twenty ten, I may sixty days before
- 34:36Speaker 2: Karen Stuart met Kim twenty ten for the History Books,
- 34:41Speaker 2: Kim began frantically calling Cherry and she called her seventy
- 34:44Speaker 2: times in one day. She is also frantically calling Brian
- 34:49Speaker 2: and he let it go to boysmail. She left a
- 34:51Speaker 2: message asking if he had been subpoena and what he
- 34:54Speaker 2: was going to say. Now. Brian didn't think much of this,
- 34:58Speaker 2: and he went about his weekend like whatever.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Yeah, because he was actually in the car with his
- 35:03Speaker 1: you know, new wife, and they were headed off for
- 35:05Speaker 1: a weekend together. So he's like, I cannot I cannot
- 35:08Speaker 1: deal it.
- 35:08Speaker 2: I love making, okay.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I cannot deal with this crazy right now. Center to voicemail.
- 35:13Speaker 1: I'm not today, Satan you know.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that'd be terrible. He'd be talking her on the phone.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Drive off the road, die because your ex wife is
- 35:21Speaker 2: calling you. You know what I'm saying, No, I don't.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Can you relate?
- 35:29Speaker 2: No? I cannot Okay, I did not die. On June nineteenth,
- 35:33Speaker 2: a pizza delivery guy came upon a body on the
- 35:35Speaker 2: side of the road in White House, Texas. Police arrive
- 35:39Speaker 2: at the scene and find a badly charred body. They
- 35:41Speaker 2: assess the crime scene and see that there is an
- 35:43Speaker 2: unburned coffee creamer on the ground by the body, one
- 35:47Speaker 2: of the little ones you get at the gas station
- 35:49Speaker 2: or at the hotel or whatever.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, I used to drink the little creamers
- 35:55Speaker 1: at the luby. We used to go to Luby's for
- 35:57Speaker 1: Sunday or whatever, and they used to have those creamers.
- 36:01Speaker 2: You'd drink the half and half right out of the
- 36:02Speaker 2: little content. Oh.
- 36:03Speaker 1: I used to drink those things. Yep, that was my fate. Yes, Stuart,
- 36:08Speaker 1: I still remember doing that, and it was they were
- 36:10Speaker 1: so good. That's wrong with me? It might be I
- 36:13Speaker 1: don't know. Maybe, well, because I'm an adult, I'm like,
- 36:15Speaker 1: maybe I shouldn't drink half and half creamers, you know,
- 36:18Speaker 1: at a table at a restaurant. That's inappropriate. Maybe I should,
- 36:23Speaker 1: But I can get the kids to do it.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Stop it. The body was unidentifiable due to the state
- 36:30Speaker 2: of the victim. They put out information to the public
- 36:34Speaker 2: to see if they can find out who this might be.
- 36:36Speaker 2: If there's anybody who's got somebody missing, they ain't seeing
- 36:39Speaker 2: it in a while. They can't find them Meanwhile, a
- 36:41Speaker 2: pastor and his wife Gethrie and run Walker had contacted
- 36:46Speaker 2: police because they had not heard from their daughter in
- 36:49Speaker 2: more than twenty four hours, Cherry or They're saying that
- 36:52Speaker 2: their daughter is normally in contact with them multiple times
- 36:56Speaker 2: a day. Police tell them about a body that was found.
- 37:01Speaker 2: They're in the worst. They head to the police station
- 37:04Speaker 2: and through dental records, they discover that it was their daughter, Cherry.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Now, while this is going on, Brian is contacted by
- 37:11Speaker 1: Kim's mother.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Even Kim's mother no bitch is crazy.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Yeah, telling him that she believes that Kim may have
- 37:17Speaker 1: had something to do with Cherry and is worried for
- 37:19Speaker 1: Brian and Jamie's safety. They decided to go into hiding
- 37:24Speaker 1: until they can find the police, can find Kim and everything,
- 37:26Speaker 1: because this could be an escalation. She's just gone off
- 37:29Speaker 1: the rails, you know when they could be next.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Yes, they're in the show. Yeah, Brian says this. He's like, yeah,
- 37:36Speaker 2: me and Jamie had to go on hiding for her safety.
- 37:38Speaker 2: He didn't mention the new wife things like, I mean
- 37:40Speaker 2: she had to bring her with her too.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I don't know. She seems to really just
- 37:44Speaker 1: focus on the men and the children. I don't she
- 37:46Speaker 1: doesn't seem to have any crazy behavior whenever they move on.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. If they can't find them, maybe
- 37:52Speaker 2: I'll just get her.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Well anyways, well she might he might have went with them.
- 37:57Speaker 1: She might have went. Maybe she was I don't know
- 38:00Speaker 1: mention it.
- 38:00Speaker 2: So I'm just curious.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Yeah, we did note that that they didn't say that
- 38:05Speaker 1: the whole family went into hiding, just Brian and Jamie.
- 38:09Speaker 1: So please go to Cherry's apartment and they find messages
- 38:12Speaker 1: on her answering machine from a woman that sounded a
- 38:15Speaker 1: bit frantic. They play the voicemail for the AID and
- 38:19Speaker 1: she immediately identifies the voice as coming from Kim. Now,
- 38:22Speaker 1: the AID was worried for Cherry. She had confided in
- 38:26Speaker 1: her that Kim was upset about the subpoena because the
- 38:29Speaker 1: AID stops by every day, so she'd stop by that day.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Cherry's talking to her about it, and Cherry told the
- 38:34Speaker 1: AID that Kim wanted to take her to dinner that night. Well,
- 38:37Speaker 1: they say it's like, hey, Cherry, don't just stay away
- 38:42Speaker 1: from this woman. Lock your door, don't go to dinner,
- 38:44Speaker 1: don't talk to her, and that I'll see you in
- 38:47Speaker 1: the morning and we'll we can go we'll talk this
- 38:51Speaker 1: out and everything at that, but just just lock your
- 38:53Speaker 1: door and don't go anywhere with Kim.
- 38:55Speaker 2: So this is all the aide's fault. The aide should
- 38:58Speaker 2: have called her parents and like, hey, this crazy bitch
- 39:01Speaker 2: is calling your daughter. She wants to take it.
- 39:02Speaker 1: I don't know if they called the parents, though.
- 39:04Speaker 2: They know the aid did not call the parents or
- 39:07Speaker 2: would have came over. They would have came over. So
- 39:10Speaker 2: this AA should have called the parent.
- 39:12Speaker 1: She should have been a little more proactive. Yes, proactive,
- 39:16Speaker 1: and maybe maybe she felt it was inappropriate, but she
- 39:18Speaker 1: should have just called the parents been saying, hey, there's
- 39:21Speaker 1: an issue with this crazy Kim lady.
- 39:23Speaker 2: M hmm.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Yeah. So that ends up being the aid was actually
- 39:27Speaker 1: the last person besides the person who did it. Cherry Alive.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Police call to Kim's house and she refuses to speak
- 39:38Speaker 2: them to them without a lawyer present, and she will
- 39:42Speaker 2: not let them search the home without a warrant. They leave.
- 39:45Speaker 1: But the good decision Kim, though, just saying is don't
- 39:48Speaker 1: let police just come in your house start looking for shit.
- 39:50Speaker 1: You better come even me if I was you need
- 39:53Speaker 1: to have a search warrant. I ain't gonna let you
- 39:55Speaker 1: just stop through my house. Have you seen after the
- 39:57Speaker 1: search warrants? Now they tear up your house and they don't.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Put anything, just yank drawers out, dump on flipping. No,
- 40:02Speaker 2: I don't give two shoes.
- 40:03Speaker 1: You're not coming in and destroying my house. You better
- 40:05Speaker 1: have a judge sign off on that exactly.
- 40:08Speaker 2: And no, I'm not going to do a light detector test.
- 40:11Speaker 1: No, definitely don't do a light detector test.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Police leave, but they keep an eye on Kim while
- 40:17Speaker 2: they work to get the search warrant signed. Kim leaves
- 40:21Speaker 2: her house because she's frantic. Yeah.
- 40:24Speaker 3: I don't even think they had to keep much of
- 40:25Speaker 3: an eye on her. I think they were literally sparked
- 40:28Speaker 3: down the block trying to call the judge to get
- 40:30Speaker 3: the search warm in.
- 40:31Speaker 2: This bitch, this sting dong. She just like leaves the house.
- 40:38Speaker 2: She's frantically driving. She runs a stop sign, so now
- 40:41Speaker 2: she's given them probable cause to pull her over, which
- 40:44Speaker 2: they do, and they see one of those exact coffee
- 40:47Speaker 2: creamers that was found at the crime scene on the
- 40:49Speaker 2: floorboard in her car. With probable cause, they seize her car.
- 40:55Speaker 2: They take it in to be processed. With a search
- 40:58Speaker 2: warrant in hand. They had to cat house when they
- 41:01Speaker 2: enter the home, it's disgusting. There's food everywhere. This isn't
- 41:04Speaker 2: like messy people. This isn't like dirty laundry.
- 41:07Speaker 1: This is like hoarders.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Yeah, this is she's horders. Like she's not horder, but
- 41:13Speaker 2: maybe the beginning of a horder. This has got just
- 41:16Speaker 2: empty food containers and plates and just grosser.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Trash, just everything all over. Just the bed she was
- 41:22Speaker 1: sleeping in was just trashed in the.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Mad months since the sheets have been washed. It's ever
- 41:28Speaker 2: laundry is completely piled up in the laundry room.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it's and she had a four year old son
- 41:35Speaker 1: like living there with her in this filth.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Yes, So this house is disgusting. Everything is just like
- 41:43Speaker 2: you don't want to touch it unless you got gloves on.
- 41:46Speaker 2: But there is one item in the washing machine.
- 41:49Speaker 1: And I haven't done a laundry in a year, but
- 41:50Speaker 1: there's one item.
- 41:51Speaker 2: There's a Yes, there's a sheet. They take it in
- 41:55Speaker 2: for processing. Other items they were able to cut to
- 41:59Speaker 2: cut connect to the crime scene where tire marks on
- 42:03Speaker 2: the dirt road that match those on Kim's car. They
- 42:06Speaker 2: were identical, identical, the coffee Cramer little capsule, and the
- 42:13Speaker 2: fact that she had picked up Cherry for dinner the
- 42:17Speaker 2: night before yeap. So all these things lead them to
- 42:20Speaker 2: believe that she did this. Kim is their primary suspect.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Yeah. So on July thirty first, twenty ten, Kim was
- 42:29Speaker 1: charged with capital murder and they were going after the
- 42:31Speaker 1: death penalties.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Do because that's what I'm talking about.
- 42:34Speaker 1: This was just terrible. This is the woman that was
- 42:37Speaker 1: that was okay uh, This was a woman that had,
- 42:42Speaker 1: you know, mentally disabled things like that, and she's taken
- 42:46Speaker 1: advantage of her and then on top of it, kills
- 42:49Speaker 1: her to try to protect herself. They believe that Kim.
- 42:53Speaker 1: This is what they've had to surmise from because again
- 42:55Speaker 1: the body was burned very badly to where it was
- 42:59Speaker 1: hard to get any type.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Yes, there was an accelerant use then, so all the
- 43:03Speaker 2: physical evidence on the body was destroyed.
- 43:06Speaker 1: And the manner of death and everything. So they believe
- 43:09Speaker 1: that Kim strangled Cherry, wrapped her in that sheet that
- 43:12Speaker 1: she had in the washing machine, then dragged her to
- 43:15Speaker 1: her car and drove her out to dispose of and
- 43:18Speaker 1: then burned the body to cover it up now. During
- 43:21Speaker 1: the trial, Kim argued this was their the defense's argument. Yes,
- 43:25Speaker 1: Kim argued that Cherriot had a seizure while she was
- 43:29Speaker 1: driving to dinner with her and she couldn't save her.
- 43:32Speaker 1: She had a seizure, couldn't save her. Keep in mind,
- 43:35Speaker 1: Kim is a nurse, So I mean, yeah, So this
- 43:39Speaker 1: is what where we're going to go with is that
- 43:41Speaker 1: she was afraid she was going to be accused of
- 43:43Speaker 1: the murder, so she tried to well accused of that
- 43:49Speaker 1: she died under her watch and that Kim was going
- 43:51Speaker 1: to be blamed for it. So but if she had
- 43:53Speaker 1: a seizure, then you could if this were in fact
- 43:56Speaker 1: trick and passed away from that. So it's all bullshit.
- 44:02Speaker 1: I can't believe it. Defense attorney even.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Was like, we're hi, Kim, there's a bunch of I'm
- 44:08Speaker 2: still I can't Yeah, I can't believe some of the
- 44:11Speaker 2: defenses attorneys use.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Defenses attorneys use yes, yeah, defense attorneys, defenses attorneys use yes. Yes.
- 44:22Speaker 2: I got what she said because it sounded like defense
- 44:24Speaker 2: attorneys use yes.
- 44:26Speaker 1: Anyways, Yes, it sounded like that, and then I was
- 44:30Speaker 1: repeating it back to hear it in my head and anyways,
- 44:35Speaker 1: but yes, this is what this is the best they
- 44:37Speaker 1: could do. All the evidence was pointing to her, this
- 44:39Speaker 1: is the best they could come up with. Well, it
- 44:42Speaker 1: did not work. They the jury did not buy it,
- 44:46Speaker 1: and on May twenty twelve, she was found guilty and
- 44:49Speaker 1: the jury did recommend the death penalty. Now currently though
- 44:53Speaker 1: Kim is still sitting on death row, she's I mean
- 44:56Speaker 1: that's been We're thirteen years almost. That's just freaking just
- 45:01Speaker 1: do it already.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Okay, that's what I'm talking about. Yeah, get all sparky
- 45:05Speaker 2: fired up, let's go.
- 45:06Speaker 1: Well, I think it's lethal injection at this point.
- 45:09Speaker 2: That's a good thing. I'm not in charge of the
- 45:10Speaker 2: death penalty stuff because everybody knows this. Listeners for a while.
- 45:15Speaker 2: I'm all about it.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Yes, you're all about it.
- 45:17Speaker 2: We know. And if we can get the chair going
- 45:20Speaker 2: or the fire and squad. They got the fire and
- 45:22Speaker 2: squad up in Utah.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Anyways, this is just this was a kind of a
- 45:28Speaker 1: kookie story with Brian and Kim and everything like that.
- 45:31Speaker 1: But it's just we weren't sure. Whenever you start the episode,
- 45:34Speaker 1: you're not sure where it's going to go. And I
- 45:35Speaker 1: was like, oh my God, is she going to kill
- 45:37Speaker 1: the like where I was afraid she's going to kill
- 45:39Speaker 1: like the child or something. Yeah, but it's just I mean,
- 45:43Speaker 1: she's just a terrible person.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Of all the people that she did, they always kill
- 45:46Speaker 2: somebody in these things? Are they? Sometimes they're just crazy.
- 45:49Speaker 1: And I think they always kill somebody? Yeah? Uh no,
- 45:54Speaker 1: sometimes it's not. One of the ones was the lady
- 45:58Speaker 1: found out her husband was like this a rapist that's
- 46:01Speaker 1: been large for you know, years that they've been trying
- 46:05Speaker 1: to find she found out that's who.
- 46:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we were watching that one on the guy
- 46:08Speaker 2: trying to hang his wife to get rid of her,
- 46:11Speaker 2: but he failed.
- 46:12Speaker 1: I remember that he felt. Anyways, my point was is
- 46:15Speaker 1: that of all the people that Kim's gone through her
- 46:17Speaker 1: whole entire life just being a terrible person, just terrible mother,
- 46:23Speaker 1: all these ex husbands and everything, and this poor lady
- 46:26Speaker 1: is the one that ultimately she's already seen me.
- 46:29Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know what access she asked to
- 46:31Speaker 2: other presidents in gin pop and where she's at if
- 46:33Speaker 2: she does, Oh.
- 46:34Speaker 1: She's running a she's running a block. I can tell
- 46:36Speaker 1: you that she's.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Hey, girl, let me get your commissary. Yeah, I'll give
- 46:41Speaker 2: you a little something, give me some commissary.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Yeah. So anyways, all right, well that's our episode for
- 46:46Speaker 1: this week. STU, do you have a y'all need Jesus?
- 46:49Speaker 2: I always have a y'all need Jesus.
- 46:51Speaker 1: He doesn't actually have one now, but we're going to
- 46:53Speaker 1: go find one.
- 46:54Speaker 2: I got it, you have it, I got it.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Okay, whip it out, Jesus. What's wrong with you? Oh
- 47:07Speaker 1: my god? Okay, let's do this.
- 47:12Speaker 2: Woman accused of attacking man with a gardening tool after
- 47:17Speaker 2: he canceled plans with her. According to police, was it
- 47:20Speaker 2: a hoe? It might have been. You were just I
- 47:25Speaker 2: saw you jump up when I said gardening. Told you're like, oh,
- 47:27Speaker 2: this is my shot. This Florida or not Florida, Not Florida,
- 47:33Speaker 2: Florida woman oh Man Coming to us from Fox News
- 47:37Speaker 2: by Elizabeth Pritchett, published February seventeenth, A Florida woman is
- 47:42Speaker 2: behind bars after she allegedly attacked a man with a
- 47:45Speaker 2: garden hoe. Oh it was a ho for canceling. Ho
- 47:49Speaker 2: with a hoe for canceling plans? Whether the Polk County
- 47:55Speaker 2: Sheriff's office said Melanie Davis, aged forty seven, girl, your
- 47:59Speaker 2: tool for the show. Had plans to hang out with
- 48:02Speaker 2: a man last week when he canceled on her, according
- 48:06Speaker 2: to Fox thirteen Tampa Bay. Upset by his decision, Davis
- 48:11Speaker 2: allegedly went to his home in Frostproof Frostproof, Florida at
- 48:17Speaker 2: around three am on a Tuesday night and began yelling
- 48:20Speaker 2: at him from outside.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Girl, you were too old to be shouting at people
- 48:24Speaker 1: on a Tuesday night at three am.
- 48:25Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 48:26Speaker 1: This isn't even It would have been better at least
- 48:29Speaker 1: it was a Saturday or Friday. Tuesday.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Yeah, just a random Tuesday. The alteredication escalated when Davis
- 48:37Speaker 2: climbed the fence to his property, pushed through a door,
- 48:41Speaker 2: and began punching him. Investigator said, this girl is serious.
- 48:46Speaker 2: At some point she grabbed the gardening tool and hit
- 48:49Speaker 2: him with it, which caused a serious cut on his arm.
- 48:52Speaker 1: She grabbed the hoe, which was the house.
- 48:57Speaker 2: The man was taken to the hospital while Davis was
- 49:00Speaker 2: taken to jail. She has charged with arm burglary with battery,
- 49:04Speaker 2: aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, simple battery, and criminal mischief.
- 49:08Speaker 1: And hoe and around.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Davis has a long history with the Polk County Sheriff's office,
- 49:14Speaker 2: dating back to nineteen ninety seven, when she was first
- 49:17Speaker 2: charged with battery at age nineteen years old.
- 49:21Speaker 1: Well, she just needs to be put away. We don't
- 49:22Speaker 1: not need this terroristic.
- 49:25Speaker 2: Anger management class, or she needs a sandwich.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Or something, or an exorcism.
- 49:30Speaker 2: Jail record show she has been arrested in Polk County
- 49:33Speaker 2: twenty seven times prior to last week's incident. Her previous
- 49:38Speaker 2: charges ranged from petty theft to battery causing serious injury.
- 49:43Speaker 2: The last time she was booked into Polk County jail
- 49:45Speaker 2: was in March twenty twenty four, when she was charged
- 49:48Speaker 2: with domestic pop isolence on a person over the age
- 49:51Speaker 2: of sixty five.
- 49:53Speaker 1: Oh, there's extra charges for the elderly.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Well, she got out because that was March last year.
- 49:59Speaker 1: This is ridiculous because at some point she's gonna escalate
- 50:01Speaker 1: it up to where she kills somebody. You know. It's
- 50:04Speaker 1: like that Kim lady we just talked about. It's gonna
- 50:07Speaker 1: she's gonna do it at some point. They need to
- 50:09Speaker 1: stop letting her out. They got all these people on
- 50:11Speaker 1: like petty petty, like drug charges and stuff sitting in there.
- 50:15Speaker 1: I'm worried about this crazy bitch.
- 50:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like twenty seven times domestic abuse and all
- 50:20Speaker 2: this other stuff. It's like the person I got for
- 50:22Speaker 2: their Yeah, we arrested him for a six d UI.
- 50:24Speaker 2: It's like, why is this motherfucker stop driving?
- 50:26Speaker 1: These people need to be in jail, not to not
- 50:29Speaker 1: to because you had some some drugs, you know. Not
- 50:33Speaker 1: worried about you. I'm worried about the d w I
- 50:37Speaker 1: guy and crazy yeah or not? What her name wasn't Kim.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Melanie and Kim?
- 50:43Speaker 1: Yes? All right, well that is our episode for the week.
- 50:47Speaker 1: And yeah, check all the stuff I said at the
- 50:50Speaker 1: beginning and rate review, subscribe. I'm getting tired. I'm fading quickly, guys,
- 50:55Speaker 1: I'm fading. I gotta go to bed.
- 50:57Speaker 2: Yeah you did?
- 50:58Speaker 1: Yeah, Stuart? What no go to sleep? Anyways?
- 51:03Speaker 2: All right?
- 51:03Speaker 1: Well yeah yeah, yeah, alright, well shoot, what do we say?
- 51:09Speaker 3: All right?
