- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:24Speaker 1: the Hawkgirl energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:28Speaker 1: Happy Wednesday, Welcome back to another episode. I apologize in
- 0:33Speaker 1: advance for not posting anything last week because if you
- 0:38Speaker 1: guys follow our Instagram page or if you guys follow me,
- 0:41Speaker 1: I was very lucky to be invited on a brand trip,
- 0:44Speaker 1: very unexpectedly, and I invited my sister and it was
- 0:48Speaker 1: so much fun, but again very last minute. And I
- 0:50Speaker 1: think I'm starting to realize that as I get invited
- 0:53Speaker 1: more and more on these trips. When it comes to
- 0:55Speaker 1: brands and all that, usually it is a very last minute,
- 0:58Speaker 1: which me I I'm not like that at all, especially
- 1:02Speaker 1: when it comes to travel. I like to know at
- 1:04Speaker 1: least like a month or two in advance, because let's
- 1:07Speaker 1: face it, there's so much that comes to planning for
- 1:09Speaker 1: outfits and just travels in general, and I don't know,
- 1:14Speaker 1: it's been a lot of just like two weeks out
- 1:16Speaker 1: kind of thing and I'm not complaining, very grateful, it's
- 1:20Speaker 1: just very much so last minute for me, and I
- 1:23Speaker 1: get a lot of anxiety around it, but hey, is
- 1:25Speaker 1: what it is. I will never say no to a trip,
- 1:28Speaker 1: and I'm always very grateful for these brands that are
- 1:31Speaker 1: willing to, you know, bring me on these opportunities, and again,
- 1:34Speaker 1: would not trade it for the world. It's just I'm
- 1:36Speaker 1: sure if you're like me, where you're maybe a type
- 1:39Speaker 1: a person where you feel like everything needs to be
- 1:41Speaker 1: planned and just booked ahead of time and all that,
- 1:45Speaker 1: that's how I feel. And sometimes I just get a
- 1:47Speaker 1: little stress when they're last minute. But that's something I'm
- 1:50Speaker 1: working on, and you know, I'm sure there'll be future
- 1:53Speaker 1: brand trips with the same situation where it's just very
- 1:55Speaker 1: last minute and just got to kind of go with
- 1:58Speaker 1: the flow. But it was very fun. My sister came.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I ended up actually paying for her to come. I
- 2:03Speaker 1: was supposed to go by myself, but I was like,
- 2:05Speaker 1: you know what, I'd rather have my sister there, and
- 2:07Speaker 1: because she works with me, it was just a good
- 2:09Speaker 1: opportunity to get photos taken and you know, capture some content,
- 2:13Speaker 1: do some fun things together. And it was actually my
- 2:15Speaker 1: sister's graduation gift as well, because my sister just finished
- 2:19Speaker 1: her masters, so I'm like, you know what, I'll just
- 2:20Speaker 1: pay for her flight and she can come with me.
- 2:23Speaker 1: And yeah, it was Honestly, it's such a fun trip.
- 2:25Speaker 1: It was very short. We were just there for four
- 2:27Speaker 1: days and three nights, and yeah, we made the most
- 2:30Speaker 1: of it. Did a lot of fun places that we
- 2:32Speaker 1: love to do Lake Sunlfe, we did a hike, we
- 2:35Speaker 1: went to a pilates class, we did some shopping while
- 2:37Speaker 1: we were there, we went to one of our favorite restaurants.
- 2:40Speaker 1: So I think the only thing we didn't do was
- 2:42Speaker 1: airwon and we wanted to try community goods along with
- 2:46Speaker 1: doing a target run, just because I feel like that's
- 2:48Speaker 1: essential when you're in the States, especially as a Canadian girly,
- 2:51Speaker 1: we do not have a target, so I always love
- 2:53Speaker 1: to hit up a target when I'm in the States,
- 2:55Speaker 1: but unfortunately we did not have the time to do so.
- 2:58Speaker 1: So anyways, we tried to maximize as much as we
- 3:00Speaker 1: could in the short period of time that we were there.
- 3:02Speaker 1: But it was a very fun trip. But I'm happy
- 3:04Speaker 1: to be back and getting back into the swing of things,
- 3:07Speaker 1: so that is why there was no episode last week,
- 3:10Speaker 1: but this week we have one up, and I have
- 3:12Speaker 1: a fun episode today because, as you can see by
- 3:14Speaker 1: the title, we're going to be talking about propaganda's and
- 3:17Speaker 1: I'm sure you've seen the trend on TikTok or Instagram,
- 3:20Speaker 1: but I thought it'd be a fun episode to share
- 3:23Speaker 1: just some of the things I'm falling for along with
- 3:26Speaker 1: the things that I'm not falling for, because I feel
- 3:28Speaker 1: like this is something that maybe you guys can relate
- 3:31Speaker 1: to when it comes to just the health and wellness
- 3:34Speaker 1: industry and just lifestyle and all that. And there's obviously
- 3:37Speaker 1: a lot of things that go around that I think
- 3:40Speaker 1: people either fall for or they don't, and this is
- 3:43Speaker 1: kind of just like a mix of things, you know,
- 3:46Speaker 1: a lot of health and wellness things that I fell
- 3:49Speaker 1: for or I'm not falling for, a lot of lifestyle
- 3:51Speaker 1: things like fashion related, skincare related, all that. So we're
- 3:55Speaker 1: going to get into it, Okay, We're going to start
- 3:57Speaker 1: off with the propagandas that I'm falling for. The first
- 3:59Speaker 1: thing that I I fell for was early morning routine.
- 4:02Speaker 1: So I'm one hundred percent a six am morning routine girly.
- 4:05Speaker 1: As you guys know, lately, I've been wanting to wake
- 4:07Speaker 1: up even earlier. I've been wanting to aim for a
- 4:10Speaker 1: five am morning routine, so we'll get into that in
- 4:13Speaker 1: the next episode for June. But I think I want
- 4:15Speaker 1: to make one of my goals for June to wake
- 4:17Speaker 1: up a little bit earlier and start walking as soon
- 4:20Speaker 1: as I wake up before my workout class, which really
- 4:23Speaker 1: seems ambitious to me, to be honest, but who knows.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I think I could probably do it. I think it's
- 4:28Speaker 1: just creating a new little routine for myself. It takes
- 4:31Speaker 1: some time and adjusting to do so, but I feel
- 4:34Speaker 1: like I could get another walk in early in the
- 4:36Speaker 1: morning before I start my day. And you know, sometimes
- 4:39Speaker 1: I have a hard time getting all the walks in
- 4:41Speaker 1: that I want to get in throughout the day since
- 4:43Speaker 1: work can get busy. So I'm trying to make it
- 4:45Speaker 1: a June goal to wake up earlier. So the five
- 4:48Speaker 1: am morning routines, the six am morning routines, I'm falling
- 4:51Speaker 1: for it. I'm one hundred percent a routine girly and
- 4:53Speaker 1: I literally just love having a structured routine every single morning.
- 4:59Speaker 1: When I travel, I obviously try and adapt to a
- 5:02Speaker 1: different type of routine. Obviously, I sleep in a little
- 5:04Speaker 1: bit more. I always try and get some movement in,
- 5:06Speaker 1: always try and walking, still try and get some healthy
- 5:09Speaker 1: breakfast in me all that like, I try and continue
- 5:12Speaker 1: similar habits when I'm traveling, but at the same time,
- 5:15Speaker 1: you obviously have to make adjustments. But when I'm home,
- 5:17Speaker 1: I am sticking to a routine. I'm doing my basics,
- 5:21Speaker 1: and I feel good when I actually stick to it.
- 5:23Speaker 1: So if you're not a routine early, maybe think about
- 5:26Speaker 1: creating one, because it truly has changed my life, and
- 5:29Speaker 1: I do think it's impacted a lot of people in
- 5:32Speaker 1: the best possible way because it creates some structure in
- 5:35Speaker 1: your everyday life. Another thing that I'm falling for is
- 5:37Speaker 1: mocktails instead of cocktails. I've talked about this in previous episodes,
- 5:41Speaker 1: but I am trying to definitely try and not drink
- 5:44Speaker 1: as much as I used to. I don't want to
- 5:46Speaker 1: cut it completely out of my life because I think
- 5:48Speaker 1: I've talked about it before, but I truly do enjoy
- 5:51Speaker 1: having a glass of wine or an apparell sprits, and
- 5:53Speaker 1: I think that's very normal to have the occasional glass
- 5:57Speaker 1: ever so often, depending on the occasion, so you know,
- 6:01Speaker 1: for me, I kind of like the idea of having,
- 6:03Speaker 1: you know, a cocktail out for dinner with friends, and
- 6:05Speaker 1: then instead of ordering a second drink, I would order
- 6:08Speaker 1: a mocktail instead. Or you know, if I'm not feeling
- 6:11Speaker 1: like having an apparall spreads on a Wednesday night during
- 6:14Speaker 1: the week, like I'm more of a weekend drinker, I
- 6:15Speaker 1: don't really drink during the week, I would order a
- 6:18Speaker 1: mocktail instead of a cocktail. And I think that needs
- 6:20Speaker 1: to be normalized more because at the end of the day, everybody,
- 6:24Speaker 1: you know, has pros and cons when it comes to
- 6:26Speaker 1: consuming alcohol, and not everybody loves it for themselves and
- 6:29Speaker 1: the way that they feel. So I feel like, you know,
- 6:32Speaker 1: other people need to realize that this is such a
- 6:34Speaker 1: common thing that you know, people don't always drink all
- 6:38Speaker 1: the time or for every occasion. And I think, honestly,
- 6:41Speaker 1: I see more and more restaurants adding more options for
- 6:44Speaker 1: mocktails or just again normalizing the fact that if I
- 6:48Speaker 1: want a mohido that's virgin, it should be like not
- 6:51Speaker 1: something that should be a conversation at the dinner table
- 6:53Speaker 1: about because at the end of the day, like it's
- 6:55Speaker 1: all of our own choices. And the other point is
- 6:58Speaker 1: having fun without drinking, Like you don't need to drink
- 7:01Speaker 1: in order to have a good time. I feel like,
- 7:03Speaker 1: you know, there's some people where I think they kind
- 7:05Speaker 1: of rely on drinking in order for them to socialize
- 7:08Speaker 1: in a big environment and all that. And maybe I
- 7:10Speaker 1: feel that way because I am a social person in general,
- 7:13Speaker 1: So even without alcohol, I feel like I can still
- 7:15Speaker 1: have a good time and not have to like rely
- 7:18Speaker 1: on alcohol to allow myself to have a fun time.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Like I actually do know people that heavily rely on
- 7:24Speaker 1: booze in order for them to have a good time,
- 7:26Speaker 1: Like they won't come to events if they can't drink,
- 7:28Speaker 1: so it's a thing. And again it could be something
- 7:31Speaker 1: that might help their social anxiety and that's why they
- 7:34Speaker 1: need to have a drink to kind of cut the
- 7:35Speaker 1: anxiety off. But for me, I feel like I can
- 7:39Speaker 1: have fun without drinking and you know, enjoy myself. And
- 7:42Speaker 1: I also don't feel judged when I'm around those kind
- 7:44Speaker 1: of people. Like I think you have to go in
- 7:46Speaker 1: with that mindset that you shouldn't care what other people
- 7:49Speaker 1: think because at the end of the day, you're doing
- 7:50Speaker 1: it for yourself and It's all about becoming the better
- 7:53Speaker 1: version of yourself. It's not about caring what these other
- 7:55Speaker 1: people think. So I've definitely been in our group of
- 7:58Speaker 1: friends a lot more lately without drink, and I'm feeling
- 8:00Speaker 1: very confident in that decision. And nobody has ever judged me,
- 8:03Speaker 1: which I think is a very good thing in a
- 8:05Speaker 1: friend group to always be supportive with everyone's decisions and
- 8:08Speaker 1: never judge someone for not doing something that everyone else
- 8:11Speaker 1: is doing. And yeah, so definitely having fun without drinking
- 8:16Speaker 1: is something that I'm falling for. Another thing is romanticizing
- 8:19Speaker 1: my life. You guys know that I'm going to romanticize
- 8:22Speaker 1: anything when it comes to cooking at home, even just
- 8:25Speaker 1: having my morning coffee. I'm going to romanticize the shit
- 8:28Speaker 1: out of my life because, let's face it, we only
- 8:31Speaker 1: live one life. We might as well live it the
- 8:32Speaker 1: way that we want to live it. Live your life
- 8:34Speaker 1: like a freakin' movie who freakin cares. So that's kind
- 8:38Speaker 1: of the mindset that I always have. I always love
- 8:39Speaker 1: to glamorize things, lighting a candle. I always buy weekly
- 8:43Speaker 1: florals for my home, like I want to feel like
- 8:46Speaker 1: my life isn't a movie. So I'm going to romanticize
- 8:48Speaker 1: the shit out of it. Another thing I'm falling for
- 8:50Speaker 1: is in Fred's saunas. You guys know that I've been
- 8:52Speaker 1: incorporating hot pilates into my routine and I truly do
- 8:56Speaker 1: think it's made a huge impact in my mental health,
- 8:58Speaker 1: like I'm not even kidding, and also just my skin.
- 9:01Speaker 1: How I've been feeling Like the sweat that you get
- 9:04Speaker 1: in an Infred sauna is like no other. I can't
- 9:07Speaker 1: even describe it. I have been going twice a week
- 9:10Speaker 1: and I just feel like it's been a huge game
- 9:11Speaker 1: changer in my mood, how I've been feeling, and all
- 9:14Speaker 1: in all, there's just so many amazing benefits to doing it.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I would obviously love a normal sauna in my house
- 9:21Speaker 1: without having to do a workout and do that every
- 9:23Speaker 1: single day, But your girl ain't there yet. We're not
- 9:27Speaker 1: there yet. This house is not prepped and ready for
- 9:30Speaker 1: a sauna. So one day I will have one. It's
- 9:33Speaker 1: my dream to have one. I'll be putting it on
- 9:35Speaker 1: my Christmas list as soon as you know, we find
- 9:38Speaker 1: a spot for one. But for now, I'm enjoying the
- 9:40Speaker 1: Infred Sauna workout classes that I've been doing with oxygen,
- 9:44Speaker 1: and I feel like that's kind of my way to
- 9:45Speaker 1: get a sauna session in. Another thing I'm falling for
- 9:48Speaker 1: is getting my steps in daily. So the ten to
- 9:51Speaker 1: fifteen k steps, you guys know that that was my
- 9:53Speaker 1: goal for me. If you're wondering how it's going, I
- 9:56Speaker 1: would say, on average, I'm hitting around between like ten
- 10:00Speaker 1: to fifteen, some days under ten. To be honest, not
- 10:03Speaker 1: every day is consistent, and I think that's very normal
- 10:06Speaker 1: for everyone. I think there's obviously days that we're really
- 10:09Speaker 1: busy with work. And if you're the kind of person
- 10:10Speaker 1: that you know doesn't have a job where you're constantly
- 10:13Speaker 1: walking all the time, like Zach my husband. He's in
- 10:17Speaker 1: the construction field, so he's getting ten to twelve thousand
- 10:19Speaker 1: steps daily because he's constantly walking on the track getting
- 10:23Speaker 1: stuff done all that. Whereas me, I constantly work from
- 10:26Speaker 1: a computer or my phone, so I find it a
- 10:29Speaker 1: little difficult to always get my steps in. But there's
- 10:33Speaker 1: always options, like getting a walking treadmill in the house.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I obviously have one. I don't, unfortunately have a desk
- 10:39Speaker 1: to accommodate it. I tried my kitchen island and it's
- 10:42Speaker 1: still not the perfect height for it, so it's definitely
- 10:45Speaker 1: something that I'd like to work on, is trying to
- 10:48Speaker 1: figure out something especially for the winter. I know I'm
- 10:50Speaker 1: going to want to use that treadmill a lot, and
- 10:52Speaker 1: being able to work and use it at the same
- 10:54Speaker 1: time is obviously essential. But with it being really nice
- 10:58Speaker 1: the weather, obviously with the summer, I've been definitely getting
- 11:00Speaker 1: outside more, walking a lot more. I usually go for
- 11:04Speaker 1: a walk in the morning and then one usually midday,
- 11:07Speaker 1: and if I have the time, I'll do one in
- 11:09Speaker 1: the evening as well, But not every day is consistent,
- 11:13Speaker 1: to be honest with the walking schedule, just because every
- 11:15Speaker 1: day is different. In some days it's busier than others.
- 11:18Speaker 1: So I think right now my average would be ten
- 11:21Speaker 1: thousand steps. But you know, my goal for May was
- 11:23Speaker 1: to hit fifteen thousand, and I definitely had days where
- 11:26Speaker 1: I have hit it and then days that I hadn't.
- 11:28Speaker 1: But it's definitely a big goal to hit fifteen but
- 11:33Speaker 1: I'm pretty happy with reaching anything over ten thousand. I'm
- 11:36Speaker 1: very happy with and I'm proud of myself. And also
- 11:38Speaker 1: i'm tracking on my phone, so I don't know how
- 11:40Speaker 1: accurate that is, To be honest, I probably should have
- 11:42Speaker 1: purchased a fitness watch or something for the month of
- 11:46Speaker 1: May if I really wanted to be like accurate with
- 11:47Speaker 1: my tracking. But I do want to purchase one, as
- 11:50Speaker 1: you guys know, to track other things as well. So
- 11:53Speaker 1: I've had mixed reviews about the or ring lately, and
- 11:55Speaker 1: now I'm unsure if I want to get it because
- 11:58Speaker 1: I talked about it on my YouTube video and if
- 11:59Speaker 1: you guys watch on YouTube videos and you probably saw it,
- 12:02Speaker 1: but I was talking about like what I should get.
- 12:04Speaker 1: But I did talk about how I do have pretty
- 12:06Speaker 1: bad anxiety, not when it comes to like my health journey,
- 12:09Speaker 1: but just in general, and a lot of people in
- 12:11Speaker 1: my YouTube video commented that, you know, their anxiety spiked
- 12:14Speaker 1: when they got the oar ring because you see a
- 12:16Speaker 1: lot more detail than you would expect when it comes
- 12:19Speaker 1: to like your heart rate, your fever, your body temperature,
- 12:23Speaker 1: how many hours you're sleeping on average, and it kind
- 12:25Speaker 1: of creates this anxiety where you feel like you're not
- 12:28Speaker 1: doing enough. And you know, I've never had anything track
- 12:33Speaker 1: my sleep or body temperature or anything, so obviously this
- 12:36Speaker 1: is like new to me and could potentially trigger some
- 12:38Speaker 1: things that I don't want to trigger, So I'm unsure
- 12:42Speaker 1: if I'm going to do that now because of that.
- 12:44Speaker 1: So I might just get like a fitbit or something
- 12:47Speaker 1: just to strictly track my steps and that's it. You know.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I do want to track my cycle. I think that's
- 12:52Speaker 1: a big one. But I do think there's a lot
- 12:54Speaker 1: of apps out there that I could rely on, and
- 12:57Speaker 1: as long as I'm on top of it with tracking
- 12:59Speaker 1: my cycle, and I should be okay knowing you know,
- 13:01Speaker 1: what I'm ovulating when I'm in my luteal phase all that.
- 13:05Speaker 1: So I think I might opt for that us getting
- 13:07Speaker 1: the ring. But I have heard amazing things from other
- 13:11Speaker 1: people about the oor ring that might work for them,
- 13:13Speaker 1: but it's maybe realized that it might not work for me,
- 13:16Speaker 1: and it just doesn't work for everybody. Another thing I'm
- 13:18Speaker 1: falling for is machas. As you guys know, I am
- 13:22Speaker 1: recently a macha girl. I'm obsessed. I wouldn't say I
- 13:26Speaker 1: love every macha that I've tried, but when I do
- 13:28Speaker 1: find one that I'm like, WHOA, this is insane. I'm
- 13:31Speaker 1: very happy with my decision and I've been loving Strawberry
- 13:34Speaker 1: machas lately. I think that's personally my favorite. Having it
- 13:37Speaker 1: without any tip of sweetener is not my fav But
- 13:40Speaker 1: I can honestly say the same thing about coffee, right,
- 13:43Speaker 1: Like I don't love a black coffee. I need a
- 13:45Speaker 1: coffee with either you know, milk or oat milk, with
- 13:48Speaker 1: at least some tip of sweetener. So I would treat
- 13:51Speaker 1: macha the exact same way. I need a sweetener. I
- 13:53Speaker 1: can't just do it the way it is. So I
- 13:55Speaker 1: think that's kind of why I wasn't liking macha, because
- 13:58Speaker 1: I think I thought that you couldn't really sweeteners. And
- 14:01Speaker 1: maybe at the time when macha just like kind of
- 14:03Speaker 1: became a big thing, there wasn't much like sweet and options.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I would say, like throughout you know, coffee shops and
- 14:10Speaker 1: all that. But now it's like so normalized. Everybody's doing macha,
- 14:14Speaker 1: And yeah, I'm obsessed with it, and I love having
- 14:17Speaker 1: a new drink and it's fun to try different ones
- 14:20Speaker 1: as well. Another thing I'm falling for is green juices.
- 14:24Speaker 1: You guys know, I love juicing. I love love using
- 14:26Speaker 1: my blender as a juicer. I do not own a juicer.
- 14:30Speaker 1: You can use a blender and just strain it if
- 14:32Speaker 1: you don't want the pulp I personally keep the pulp
- 14:35Speaker 1: just for the extra benefits, but I do love using
- 14:38Speaker 1: my blender and just throwing in anything and everything vegetables, fruit,
- 14:43Speaker 1: coconut water, you name it. It's one of my favorite
- 14:45Speaker 1: things to do, and I usually always do it in
- 14:47Speaker 1: the summer, and I've recently gotten back into it and
- 14:50Speaker 1: it's been a fun little thing to have in the
- 14:52Speaker 1: morning and just love getting the benefits in as well. Obviously,
- 14:55Speaker 1: another thing I'm falling for is meal prepping, except in
- 14:59Speaker 1: a different way. I don't love meal prepping for myself
- 15:02Speaker 1: just because I don't like eating the same thing every
- 15:05Speaker 1: single day. Except for my breakfast. I will eat the
- 15:08Speaker 1: same breakfast, oh in the same dessert every single day.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I don't know why when it comes to like lunches
- 15:13Speaker 1: and dinners, I cannot have the same thing back to back.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I don't know if anyone else is like that, But
- 15:18Speaker 1: you know, I thought about maybe just prepping the protein,
- 15:21Speaker 1: so whether just cooking chicken or ground beef, and then
- 15:23Speaker 1: creating different recipes throughout the week with it. But I'm like,
- 15:27Speaker 1: you know what, I don't know. It just doesn't seem
- 15:30Speaker 1: like it's something I want to do right now currently.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Maybe my mind will change two weeks from now, three
- 15:35Speaker 1: weeks from now, who knows. But for right now, I've
- 15:37Speaker 1: been really enjoying the prepping of bagels. I've been making
- 15:41Speaker 1: the Greek yogurt high protein bagels. You guys say to
- 15:44Speaker 1: try cottage cheese, which we're gonna talk about cottage cheese
- 15:47Speaker 1: and the next one because I'm not a big cottage
- 15:50Speaker 1: cheese girl. Okay. The only tip of cottage cheese that
- 15:53Speaker 1: I would consider that I like is ricotta. I know
- 15:55Speaker 1: it doesn't have the same amount of protein, and I
- 15:57Speaker 1: think it is a little bit higher in fat for ricotta,
- 16:01Speaker 1: But I don't know the cottage cheese. For me, it's
- 16:03Speaker 1: the texture, like I truly cannot do it. Maybe if
- 16:07Speaker 1: it's blended in a recipe, I can get away with it,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and so I could probably get away with it honestly
- 16:12Speaker 1: in the bagels. But like eating cottage cheese the way
- 16:15Speaker 1: it is, it's truly not my thing, Like I really
- 16:17Speaker 1: can't do it. So I've been doing the Greek yogurt
- 16:19Speaker 1: bagels and they've been turning out so well. I've been
- 16:22Speaker 1: doing different types. I've done the everything bagel, the jalapino
- 16:27Speaker 1: cheddar I've been wanting to do cinnamon, raisin and blueberry
- 16:30Speaker 1: as well, so I'm hoping to try that next week.
- 16:32Speaker 1: But the Klapino cheddar has been my recent addiction and
- 16:35Speaker 1: I've been having that literally every single morning for breakfast
- 16:37Speaker 1: and it's been a complete game changer. Another thing I
- 16:40Speaker 1: just recently made for meal prepping is I made cookie
- 16:43Speaker 1: dough protein bark. Oh my goodness, guys. I did not
- 16:47Speaker 1: share the recipe yet because I wasn't sure if it
- 16:50Speaker 1: was going to be good or not. And it was insane.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I was actually shocked it actually didn't have protein powder
- 16:55Speaker 1: in it, but then I decided to add it, so
- 16:58Speaker 1: it was mainly just all my flour. I decided to
- 17:01Speaker 1: do happy amount of almond flour and then the other
- 17:03Speaker 1: half was protein powder and it was just like a
- 17:04Speaker 1: vanilla protein powder and it literally tastes insane. So if
- 17:08Speaker 1: you guys want the recipe, I will share it. It
- 17:10Speaker 1: was so good. And I don't really eat protein bars,
- 17:13Speaker 1: and I think because just the ingredients I don't find
- 17:16Speaker 1: are the greatest. And I'm like very much an ingredient girl.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I really do care about what I'm putting inside my body,
- 17:22Speaker 1: and I you know, I'm always down the TikTok train
- 17:25Speaker 1: or Instagram train when it comes to like ingredients you
- 17:27Speaker 1: should be avoiding and anyways, so protein bars are not
- 17:31Speaker 1: something that I love to buy, so I usually try
- 17:33Speaker 1: and find ways by incorporating it into different kinds of recipes.
- 17:38Speaker 1: And I know protein powder isn't also the greatest, but
- 17:40Speaker 1: I do try and buy the cleanest brands that I
- 17:43Speaker 1: could find without any added ingredients and such like that.
- 17:47Speaker 1: So anyways, loving that. And then another thing is the
- 17:51Speaker 1: Ninja creamy. We've done a lot of protein ice cream
- 17:53Speaker 1: which has been so good. Oh my god, I finally
- 17:56Speaker 1: figured out how to use Ninja creamy. And the only
- 17:58Speaker 1: thing that I would say is that I don't like
- 18:02Speaker 1: how the tub is so big with the Ninja creamy.
- 18:04Speaker 1: And then you know, I don't eat it all in
- 18:06Speaker 1: one sitting. I'll put it in my freezer wanting to
- 18:08Speaker 1: have it the next day, and it's like so frozen
- 18:12Speaker 1: that you can't even eat it. So what I usually
- 18:14Speaker 1: have to do is I have to take it out
- 18:16Speaker 1: of my freezer before I eat dinner. That way, it's
- 18:18Speaker 1: fully like melted into frosted and I can actually put
- 18:21Speaker 1: my spoon in it. And eat. So anyways, it just
- 18:24Speaker 1: gets like really frozen fast, and I can't eat it
- 18:27Speaker 1: in all in one sitting because it is truly a
- 18:29Speaker 1: lot of ice cream. And even when I split it
- 18:31Speaker 1: with Zap, Zac's like like I can't eat anymore. I'm like,
- 18:34Speaker 1: well I can't either. So anyways, it's just not the
- 18:36Speaker 1: greatest when it comes to how frozen it gets after
- 18:40Speaker 1: the second time. But again, we've kind of found a
- 18:42Speaker 1: solution by just leaving it outside of the fridge or
- 18:45Speaker 1: outside of the freezer sorry for a bit, and then
- 18:48Speaker 1: we can have it after dinner. So it's not a
- 18:49Speaker 1: huge problem, but it was just something that I noticed
- 18:51Speaker 1: with the challenge of it. But other than that, it's
- 18:55Speaker 1: so great to make your own ice cream. And yeah,
- 18:57Speaker 1: it was such a nice Christmas gift that Zach got
- 18:59Speaker 1: me and now we're finally using it a lot. And
- 19:01Speaker 1: I think also because it's hot outside, I've been craving
- 19:04Speaker 1: ice cream, whereas in the winter I don't usually crave
- 19:06Speaker 1: ice cream just cuse it's freezing. So yeah, I've been
- 19:09Speaker 1: loving it. Another thing I'm falling for is over priced lattes.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Of course, I always treat myself to an ice coffee.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I want to say at least once or twice a week.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I actually talked about this topic on YouTube and I
- 19:20Speaker 1: was like, how often do you guys actually buy a
- 19:22Speaker 1: coffee every single week? Like I'm curious for you guys
- 19:25Speaker 1: as well, like how often do you actually do because
- 19:27Speaker 1: for me, I do it once or twice a week,
- 19:29Speaker 1: because I think that's very normalized. On average, I probably
- 19:32Speaker 1: spend around seven dollars a coffee, which was Canadian pricing,
- 19:36Speaker 1: and then if you added up, you know, once a
- 19:38Speaker 1: week for four weeks, it's like twenty eight bucks. So
- 19:41Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, I'm paying twenty eight dollars a month
- 19:43Speaker 1: for my little sweet treat. I think that's very reasonable.
- 19:46Speaker 1: But if you're spending seven dollars like five to six
- 19:48Speaker 1: times a week for a coffee, okay, yeah, I get
- 19:51Speaker 1: why you'd want to cut back. I think that's going
- 19:53Speaker 1: to average out to almost like two hundred bucks a
- 19:55Speaker 1: month with coffee, which is ridiculous. So definitely look at that.
- 19:59Speaker 1: But I'm I'm always gonna fall for an overpraise coffee date.
- 20:02Speaker 1: You know, if someone comes to Pilottis of me and
- 20:04Speaker 1: they're like, oh, you want to get a smoothie. After
- 20:06Speaker 1: a coffee, I'm gonna be like, Okay, yeah, twist my arm.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna come. But yeah. Usually I try and make
- 20:11Speaker 1: it like a minimum amount of times that I go
- 20:14Speaker 1: throughout the week, just so I'm not spending a stupid
- 20:16Speaker 1: amount of money when I can make an amazing coffee
- 20:18Speaker 1: at home that I truly enjoy. So I think it's
- 20:21Speaker 1: all about just mastering your coffee routine at home, and
- 20:23Speaker 1: once you've mastered it, then you don't need to rely
- 20:25Speaker 1: on spending all this money on lottes all the time.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Another thing I'm falling for is the no mass scarra trend.
- 20:32Speaker 1: I started wearing no mass scarra. I want to say,
- 20:35Speaker 1: like two years ago, I made it a goal for
- 20:37Speaker 1: the year to wear less mescara because you know, I
- 20:40Speaker 1: love doing my makeup every single day, but I will
- 20:42Speaker 1: say that taking off my mescara at night is one
- 20:45Speaker 1: thing that I absolutely hate, Like I just I hate it.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I hate the feeling on my eyes, and I honestly
- 20:50Speaker 1: feel like not doing mescara every single day has actually created,
- 20:54Speaker 1: you know, stronger lashes. I feel like my lashes have
- 20:56Speaker 1: also grown, and I also just feel like I've really
- 21:00Speaker 1: raised how much I actually like my face with more
- 21:03Speaker 1: of a minimalistic makeup look. I think you kind of
- 21:05Speaker 1: just fall in love with your natural features, kind of
- 21:08Speaker 1: like how I'm feeling right now with my natural hair.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I would say that's another propaganda I'm falling for, is
- 21:13Speaker 1: just using very minimal product to create your natural hair
- 21:16Speaker 1: just to feel a bit, you know, better about yourself
- 21:19Speaker 1: and all that. I'm definitely feeling more confident in myself
- 21:21Speaker 1: with doing my natural hair and no mascara, And I
- 21:24Speaker 1: think that's just such a beautiful thing to really fall
- 21:27Speaker 1: in love with your natural features. And I think, you know,
- 21:30Speaker 1: people who have like pined straight hair might say like, oh,
- 21:33Speaker 1: I'm feeling so blessed and so lucky, and like when
- 21:35Speaker 1: I was a kid, I always wanted to get my
- 21:38Speaker 1: hair like permanently straightened. I wanted a perm essentially. My
- 21:40Speaker 1: Mom's like, Nope, you're gonna regret that one day. And
- 21:43Speaker 1: you know, I'm so happy I didn't change the way
- 21:46Speaker 1: my natural features are with my hair and anything like that,
- 21:49Speaker 1: because it truly does make a difference. When you get older,
- 21:52Speaker 1: you realize how much you appreciate the little things that
- 21:55Speaker 1: you were born with, right so Anyways, No, mas Scara
- 21:58Speaker 1: has definitely been one of my favorite things. And I
- 22:00Speaker 1: literally don't wear a muscara ever unless I'm actually going
- 22:03Speaker 1: out or taking photos. So every day though I do
- 22:06Speaker 1: not wear muscara. Another thing I'm falling for is the
- 22:08Speaker 1: Kitten heels, which is the flip flop p heels. I
- 22:11Speaker 1: literally wear these every single day. Like I'm not even
- 22:13Speaker 1: over exaggerating going to the grocery store with flip flop
- 22:16Speaker 1: p heels. Maybe not to pilates but or a walk,
- 22:19Speaker 1: but like anywhere I'm going when it comes to an erin,
- 22:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna be putting these on literally the smallest heel,
- 22:24Speaker 1: but it looks so put together. It essentially just looks
- 22:27Speaker 1: like a flip flop but with a small heel. And
- 22:30Speaker 1: I find them so comfortable. I find them so stylish.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I feel like I look really put together when I'm
- 22:34Speaker 1: wearing them. And yeah, so you could get like I
- 22:38Speaker 1: think they're like fifty dollars off Zera, like you can
- 22:39Speaker 1: get a cheap pair anywhere, and they're just so comfortable,
- 22:43Speaker 1: And I literally love these heels so much. Another one
- 22:46Speaker 1: is natural hair. As I said, I'll move on to
- 22:48Speaker 1: the next one just because I kind of already talked
- 22:49Speaker 1: about that topic. And the last one when it comes
- 22:52Speaker 1: to things that I'm falling for, is Korean skincare. Love
- 22:56Speaker 1: Korean skincare. I believe I linked a few products in
- 23:00Speaker 1: a previous episode that we talked about of Korean skincare
- 23:03Speaker 1: products that I'm obsessed with, so I will still link
- 23:06Speaker 1: the same LTK that showcases those products if you guys
- 23:09Speaker 1: are interested in knowing which ones I've been using. A
- 23:12Speaker 1: lot of the ones that I found are strictly through TikTok,
- 23:14Speaker 1: but I'm obsessed with them and I use them literally
- 23:17Speaker 1: all the time, and it's by far, Yeah, one of
- 23:20Speaker 1: my favorite things that I've added into my skincare routine. Okay,
- 23:23Speaker 1: let's talk about things that I'm not falling for. I
- 23:25Speaker 1: don't really have too much for this one. I had
- 23:27Speaker 1: more things that I was falling for, But for things
- 23:29Speaker 1: that I'm not falling for, I kind of already said it.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Cottage cheese, I can't do it. The texture is just
- 23:34Speaker 1: not for me. If you guys have recipes or ways
- 23:38Speaker 1: to include it that would actually make me like it,
- 23:41Speaker 1: or maybe brands that you like in particular of the
- 23:44Speaker 1: cottage cheese, please message me and let me know I
- 23:47Speaker 1: personally prefer ricotta. And it's so funny because tonight Zach
- 23:50Speaker 1: and I are actually making the I think it's the
- 23:53Speaker 1: viral cottage cheese avocado, beef and sweet potato taco bowl,
- 23:59Speaker 1: except is that of cottage cheese we're gonna use for cotta,
- 24:02Speaker 1: which I don't know if it's going to be the
- 24:04Speaker 1: same or not, to be honest, but I just I
- 24:06Speaker 1: can't do the cottage cheese. I just can't do it.
- 24:08Speaker 1: So we're basically attempting to make this viral ble in
- 24:12Speaker 1: a different way, and I'm sure it will still be good,
- 24:15Speaker 1: but anyways, the cottage cheese, I just I can't do.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Another thing I'm not falling for is the coconut cult.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I did purchase this a few months ago, and I
- 24:24Speaker 1: think I talked to you guys about it, and in
- 24:26Speaker 1: the beginning I thought it was it was good and
- 24:29Speaker 1: all that. Then after taking it for a few weeks,
- 24:31Speaker 1: I started to deal with stomach issues along with my
- 24:34Speaker 1: hair shedding a lot, and I was like, you know what,
- 24:37Speaker 1: the one thing that I've added to my routine that
- 24:39Speaker 1: could create this issue is the coconut cult. So it
- 24:42Speaker 1: almost did like the opposite effect on me. And again
- 24:46Speaker 1: not saying that it doesn't work for everyone. I would
- 24:49Speaker 1: say a lot of people actually rave about the coconut
- 24:51Speaker 1: cult for them and how it's really transformed you know,
- 24:53Speaker 1: their gut, health, their skin or anything like that. But
- 24:55Speaker 1: unfortunately for me, it really did not work for me.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Another thing that didn't really work for me, and maybe
- 25:00Speaker 1: I'm doing it wrong, is the castor oil trend where
- 25:04Speaker 1: people you know, put it in their belly button and
- 25:06Speaker 1: then they tape their belly button and that's that. But
- 25:09Speaker 1: people notice a lot of deeploating and all that after
- 25:12Speaker 1: using it, and to be honest, for me, again, i
- 25:14Speaker 1: woke up with the stomach ache. So I'm like, I
- 25:17Speaker 1: don't think I'm doing it right or maybe it's just
- 25:19Speaker 1: not for me. The best thing that's really been helping
- 25:22Speaker 1: me with deploating is taking deeploat pills from Array. It's
- 25:26Speaker 1: a Canadian brand, and it's truly changed my life. Like
- 25:29Speaker 1: I'm not even over exaggerating. I bloat when I eat dairy,
- 25:33Speaker 1: and whenever I have like a very heavy filled day
- 25:37Speaker 1: of dairy, I'll take one of these deploat pills and
- 25:40Speaker 1: literally my stomach transforms within hours, Like it's actually crazy. So, yeah,
- 25:45Speaker 1: the castor oil for me is not working out. But
- 25:48Speaker 1: I've found other alternatives to help me out with any
- 25:51Speaker 1: bloating or anything like that. But yeah, definitely the castor
- 25:55Speaker 1: oil patches and then the coconut culture two things that
- 25:57Speaker 1: I would say have been like heavily influenced in the
- 26:00Speaker 1: social media space for like a health and wellness thing,
- 26:03Speaker 1: but they just honestly haven't really been working for me.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Another thing that I'm not falling for is napping. I'm sorry, guys,
- 26:09Speaker 1: I'm not a napper. Is that crazy? I don't know.
- 26:12Speaker 1: When I go on vacation and I'm in the sun
- 26:14Speaker 1: for like, you know, four to five hours, usually people
- 26:17Speaker 1: would say, oh, I'm gonna take a nap before you know,
- 26:19Speaker 1: we go out for dinner. I cannot do that. If
- 26:21Speaker 1: I'm taking a nap, I'm taken like I'm going to bed,
- 26:23Speaker 1: like I'm not gonna be waking up. I cannot just
- 26:26Speaker 1: like nap for an hour and then get the day going.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Maybe the only time actually that I would is if
- 26:32Speaker 1: I'm dealing with a time change in Europe, because I'm
- 26:34Speaker 1: dealing with like an eight hour time difference might be
- 26:37Speaker 1: able to do that because I'm actually overly exhausted from
- 26:41Speaker 1: you know, either not sleeping on the plane or not,
- 26:43Speaker 1: you know, dealing with the time change well. But other
- 26:45Speaker 1: than that, I'm not gonna just like randomly nap on
- 26:48Speaker 1: the weekend or randomly nap after something. It's just not
- 26:51Speaker 1: for me. But my husband's a napper, and I know
- 26:55Speaker 1: a lot of my girlfriends that are nappers as well.
- 26:57Speaker 1: So if it works for you, great, but for me
- 27:00Speaker 1: it does not work. Another one is people pleasing. I
- 27:03Speaker 1: don't really think I need to get into that. I
- 27:04Speaker 1: think we all know what people pleasing means, but I
- 27:06Speaker 1: am not falling for that. Another thing I'm not falling
- 27:10Speaker 1: for is tanning without SBF. We need to be wearing SBF, ladies.
- 27:15Speaker 1: It's so so important, specifically on your face as well.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I highly recommend looking at face sunscreens because I do
- 27:21Speaker 1: think it's super important to be wearing that every single day,
- 27:23Speaker 1: regardless if it's a cloudy day or not. And also
- 27:27Speaker 1: anytime you plan on tanning outside, it's important to where
- 27:30Speaker 1: at least SBF, I think thirty or fifty on your
- 27:33Speaker 1: body every single day. I love tanning, but I know,
- 27:36Speaker 1: tanning is not for everyone. There's obviously a lot of
- 27:37Speaker 1: people who have fair skin. I am Italian, so I
- 27:41Speaker 1: do get tanned very easily. And you know, I'm still
- 27:44Speaker 1: always applying sunscreen just for safety reasons obviously, And yeah,
- 27:48Speaker 1: so it's really really important to consistently wear your SBF.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Another thing I'm not falling for is shaming people on
- 27:55Speaker 1: the Internet. I don't know why people think it's okay
- 27:58Speaker 1: to be a troll and comment on other people's videos
- 28:02Speaker 1: or create a Reddit page about someone or anything like that.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Like I have never in my life gone on Reddit
- 28:08Speaker 1: to like bully someone else or literally rip someone else apart.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Like I have never done that in my life, And
- 28:14Speaker 1: I don't really understand why someone would do that. Like
- 28:18Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe it's just because I'm that kind
- 28:20Speaker 1: of person where I'm like, you do you like you
- 28:23Speaker 1: do what makes you happy. I think everyone should have
- 28:25Speaker 1: that mentality of like, everyone's gonna have different beliefs, everyone's
- 28:28Speaker 1: gonna have, you know, different political view and all that,
- 28:31Speaker 1: and at the end of the day, like let's just
- 28:33Speaker 1: all be nice to each other. Like I don't understand
- 28:34Speaker 1: why we have to be so disrespectful for things, And
- 28:37Speaker 1: there's just obviously so much going on on social media
- 28:40Speaker 1: right now, and I just see how rude some people
- 28:42Speaker 1: are about certain situations, and I'm just like, this is
- 28:46Speaker 1: not the time and place and not even a situation
- 28:49Speaker 1: you should even be commenting on. It's just crazy to
- 28:52Speaker 1: me how people can be so mean through you know,
- 28:56Speaker 1: social media without showing their face, right, Like usually the
- 29:00Speaker 1: majority of time, when someone like decides to troll me
- 29:03Speaker 1: or say something rude, you click their profile and they
- 29:05Speaker 1: don't have a single video up or a single picture,
- 29:07Speaker 1: and it's like, you're literally here just to like bother
- 29:11Speaker 1: people and just say rude things about people, And like,
- 29:13Speaker 1: how do you feel about doing that? Like in all honesty,
- 29:16Speaker 1: Like what makes you feel good doing that? Because it's
- 29:19Speaker 1: truly the meanest thing you can do. When I was
- 29:22Speaker 1: in high school, I actually got cyber bullied. I've never
- 29:25Speaker 1: actually talked about this, but I had someone who broke
- 29:28Speaker 1: into my MSN. If you guys know, you know, if
- 29:31Speaker 1: you're a nineteen ninety six baby like me, or you know,
- 29:35Speaker 1: just in the MSN world, you guys get it. But
- 29:37Speaker 1: someone like signed into my MSN and they basically decided
- 29:43Speaker 1: to message all these guys and girls and like completely
- 29:45Speaker 1: made me look like a really mean person and just
- 29:48Speaker 1: like said awful things to these people. And these people
- 29:50Speaker 1: came up to me in class the next day saying
- 29:53Speaker 1: like what the fuck, Like why did you send me
- 29:54Speaker 1: those messages and all that, and I'm like, I have
- 29:56Speaker 1: no idea what you're talking about. Like I was not
- 29:57Speaker 1: on MSN last night, and I found I note that
- 30:00Speaker 1: it was a group of girls from my high school.
- 30:02Speaker 1: They ended up, I guess, finding out my password, and
- 30:04Speaker 1: like literally it got involved with the principal. Like it
- 30:08Speaker 1: became a huge thing because there was so much hate
- 30:10Speaker 1: towards me, and my mom said to this day, like
- 30:13Speaker 1: she's never seen me so like broken and felt like
- 30:17Speaker 1: so alone in the situation, and people like the girls
- 30:20Speaker 1: that did it had to come to my house and
- 30:21Speaker 1: apologize to me. And anyways, it was a whole shit
- 30:24Speaker 1: show of a situation. But all in all, like I
- 30:26Speaker 1: do not support cyberbullying at all. So whenever there's trolls,
- 30:29Speaker 1: I'm just like they're obviously unhappy and they just you know,
- 30:32Speaker 1: need something to do. But I just do not support
- 30:35Speaker 1: this and will not be falling for it. I'm all
- 30:38Speaker 1: about positivity and I always want to try and create
- 30:40Speaker 1: a positive environment and say positive things to people. Another
- 30:43Speaker 1: thing I'm not falling for is skipping meals. I am
- 30:46Speaker 1: not a huge intimate fasting kind of girl. I don't
- 30:48Speaker 1: really believe in that stuff. I'm always eating my breakfast,
- 30:51Speaker 1: my lunch, my dinner. I love my meals, I love
- 30:54Speaker 1: my healthy desserts. I love eating in general, so I
- 30:57Speaker 1: will never be skipping a meal. The last thing I'm
- 30:59Speaker 1: not falling for is being overdressed. I think you can
- 31:02Speaker 1: be overdressed anywhere and everywhere. It does not matter. I
- 31:05Speaker 1: think at the end of the day, if you feel
- 31:06Speaker 1: confident in yourself, that's all that matters. And I love
- 31:09Speaker 1: dressing up for every occasion, and you know, it's all
- 31:12Speaker 1: about your style as well. I feel like if you
- 31:14Speaker 1: love to dress up, that's totally okay. And I don't
- 31:17Speaker 1: think people should be judging people for what they're wearing, because,
- 31:20Speaker 1: let's face it, people are dressing up to feel more
- 31:23Speaker 1: confident in themselves. They feel good. You do you. I
- 31:26Speaker 1: would never judge anyone for what they're wearing because at
- 31:28Speaker 1: the end of the day, I do think it's everyone
- 31:30Speaker 1: has their own unique style and I feel like people
- 31:33Speaker 1: should dress up for any occasion. All right, guys, That's
- 31:35Speaker 1: all I have for the propaganda's I'm not falling for
- 31:40Speaker 1: and things that I'm falling for currently. But I hope
- 31:43Speaker 1: you guys enjoyed this episode. If you guys aren't aware
