Wes Enos Steps In for Iowa Senate Seat | Des Moines News
Iowa Republicans have a new Senate hopeful: Wes Enos, former mayor and top aide to Rep. Zach Nunn, is stepping in after Mike Bousselot pulled out to join the private sector. Though Enos lost their June primary 35-65, GOP leaders in Polk and Dallas counties picked him as the new nominee for District 23 — now open after retiring Majority Leader Jack Whitver’s brain tumor treatment.
