Speaker 1: All right, well here at one of the gout Blex Sports.
• 0:02
Speaker 1: I haven't even gotten a chance to react with you
• 0:05
Speaker 1: about what happened Tuesday night, but I want to real
• 0:08
Speaker 1: fast before Game two tonight. So I'm at Yankee Stadium
• 0:13
Speaker 1: watching the Yanks and hoping they get their thirtieth win.
• 0:17
Speaker 1: I mentioned that on Tuesday night I would go to
• 0:19
Speaker 1: the stadium to begin my new chapter of this life,
• 0:22
Speaker 1: and it felt good. I reconnected with Bernardo, my buddy
• 0:26
Speaker 1: Bernardo from the Radio World. Now he's a Bronx at TV.
• 0:29
Speaker 1: So Sam Teveres from Viscardi hung out with all thirty Egos.
• 0:34
Speaker 1: You can follow him on Instagram as well, and just
• 0:40
Speaker 1: felt so in the moment at Yankee Stadium until I
• 0:48
Speaker 1: get the alert with the Yanks up about five to
• 0:52
Speaker 1: four or something like that. I mean, it was a
• 0:54
Speaker 1: close game Tuesday night. I get the alert from the
• 0:58
Speaker 1: real app. All right, check out the poll for the
• 1:00
Speaker 1: Knicks Calves. So they do in game polls where people
• 1:04
Speaker 1: are voting one way or the other one the Knicks
• 1:07
Speaker 1: come back, will they not. I look at the score
• 1:10
Speaker 1: at the end of the third quarter, eighty three sixty
• 1:14
Speaker 1: nine Calves eighty three sixty nine Calves. At one point,
• 1:23
Speaker 1: the Knicks were down twenty two points until Jalen Brunson
• 1:28
Speaker 1: once again carried that team on his back. And look,
• 1:36
Speaker 1: I'm gonna say something a little controversial right now, but
• 1:40
Speaker 1: I feel I have to say it. I love Aaron Judge.
• 1:46
Speaker 1: I really do. I think this team could do something
• 1:52
Speaker 1: special once they get all the pieces back. I really do.
• 1:57
Speaker 1: They just have a different energy than they did last year.
• 2:01
Speaker 1: But when it comes to the postseason, you cannot deny
• 2:07
Speaker 1: that Jalen Brunson is the captain of this city. You
• 2:12
Speaker 1: cannot deny that thirty eight points for Brunson, thirty eight
• 2:19
Speaker 1: points and a stretch of about in that eighteen one
• 2:24
Speaker 1: running he made like twelve or fifteen of those points,
• 2:27
Speaker 1: blazing hot fifteen points of the eighteen to one run,
• 2:36
Speaker 1: fifteen and two assists, and he played nine minutes of
• 2:43
Speaker 1: that fourth quarter. But that is Jalen Brunson. He is
• 2:50
Speaker 1: captain clutch. He did it in the Hawk series, he
• 2:56
Speaker 1: did it in the sixer series. He does it again,
• 3:00
Speaker 1: and I am so curious to see how tonight goes.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: And I gotta say, Mike Brown saving his ass too.
• 3:08
Speaker 1: Mike Brown is saving his ass by playing the bench Shammitt.
• 3:12
Speaker 1: I mean, let's go to Shaman's numbers real fast, thanks
• 3:16
Speaker 1: to again the real App, and I believe I could
• 3:19
Speaker 1: be a real App affiliate, but I'll share it with you.
• 3:23
Speaker 1: But let's go to Shammitt who went nine points and
• 3:29
Speaker 1: Ot had a couple. He had three in that run.
• 3:32
Speaker 1: He had six points in the fourth. A key bench player.
• 3:39
Speaker 1: And that's the point I said to begin the postseason,
• 3:43
Speaker 1: and I'll say it now. Mike Brown's use of this
• 3:47
Speaker 1: bench will not only save his job, but it could
• 3:52
Speaker 1: propel the nixt of Greater Heights. Why were we injured
• 3:55
Speaker 1: the last two or three years when it came to
• 3:57
Speaker 1: this very series, the Conference finals. Yeah, the Haliburton shot
• 4:02
Speaker 1: was traumatic and traumatizing and never wants that to happen again.
• 4:07
Speaker 1: But why were we burned out? Because Thibs would play
• 4:11
Speaker 1: these guys and play these guys and play these guys,
• 4:14
Speaker 1: and the bench wouldn't really be used that much. But
• 4:18
Speaker 1: on Christmas Day, Tyler Kullak's the star Tyler Kolek, And
• 4:24
Speaker 1: that was the day I realized Mike Brown uses his
• 4:29
Speaker 1: bench in a good way, all right up and down January.
• 4:34
Speaker 1: But then they start heating up again, and then they
• 4:36
Speaker 1: make that trade for Alvarado, which I think is one
• 4:38
Speaker 1: of the biggest moments the Knicks have had this year.
• 4:41
Speaker 1: And look, when I talk to friends about this, I
• 4:44
Speaker 1: don't feel like I'm an expert at it, but I
• 4:46
Speaker 1: follow it. I don't feel like I know basketball as
• 4:50
Speaker 1: much as I know baseball and know the inside baseball.
• 4:56
Speaker 1: But I think from a perspective of a sports fan
• 4:59
Speaker 1: and someone who reads the headlines and sees what's going on,
• 5:04
Speaker 1: I get so common that I notice. I notice when
• 5:11
Speaker 1: these guys come off the bench and produce. I noticed
• 5:14
Speaker 1: when mccallbridge is, who was absent most of that Hawks
• 5:17
Speaker 1: series until someone puts something in his gatorade. I don't
• 5:20
Speaker 1: know what. He goes on fire against the Hawks, and
• 5:23
Speaker 1: he goes on fire against the Sixers, and then on
• 5:25
Speaker 1: Tuesday Night he had an incredible steal to seal Game
• 5:28
Speaker 1: one in overtime. That's the McCall bridges. The Knicks thought
• 5:32
Speaker 1: they were getting right. But from my perspective, and honestly
• 5:45
Speaker 1: because of football, because of baseball postseason heading in November now,
• 5:53
Speaker 1: I typically follow the Knicks and Rangers in January onward.
• 5:58
Speaker 1: I think that's when it gets good, or at least
• 5:59
Speaker 1: by Christmas for the Knicks. I think that's when it
• 6:02
Speaker 1: gets really good, when the crunch time happens. And then
• 6:07
Speaker 1: I just continue to follow and look, did I want
• 6:11
Speaker 1: them to win the last game of the year. Absolutely,
• 6:13
Speaker 1: I did you want to go into the postseason with
• 6:15
Speaker 1: some momentum like that. Then they win Game one, then
• 6:22
Speaker 1: they get that horrible I mean absolutely horrible loss against
• 6:29
Speaker 1: the Hawks, and then going down to one. I think
• 6:33
Speaker 1: that did fire them up to just straighten out and
• 6:36
Speaker 1: get it done. I thought Mike Brown was gonna be
• 6:40
Speaker 1: a one year coach for a little bit because Dolan
• 6:46
Speaker 1: says championship or bust. Right. But then, but then the
• 6:52
Speaker 1: Knicks not breeze. But they they have an easier time
• 6:57
Speaker 1: to get to the conference semifinals, and they sweep, They
• 7:02
Speaker 1: sweep the Sixers, and now this now they have a
• 7:07
Speaker 1: chance to totally take over the series. They have a
• 7:12
Speaker 1: chance to carry that momentum from a twenty two point
• 7:18
Speaker 1: deficit to an eighteen to one run to an overtime
• 7:21
Speaker 1: victory in Game one of the Conference finals. And again
• 7:24
Speaker 1: I've called this a combatant Conference Finals because I feel it.
• 7:28
Speaker 1: But they have a chance down to come into the
• 7:29
Speaker 1: garden tonight and build off of what happened on Tuesday night,
• 7:37
Speaker 1: not regress from it, but build on it. And I
• 7:43
Speaker 1: think they can, and I think they can. But the
• 7:51
Speaker 1: masterminding that's ending up happening here of rotating these guys
• 8:01
Speaker 1: playing Cat playing Hart playing Brunson, and then you throw
• 8:06
Speaker 1: in the Mitchell Robinson's. You can throw in thee the
• 8:09
Speaker 1: McCall bridges, you throw in the Alvarados, you throw in
• 8:12
Speaker 1: the Shamans. Brunson's got a supporting cast that will feed
• 8:18
Speaker 1: off that energy, that captain clutch energy and take it
• 8:22
Speaker 1: to the finish line every night. And so here are
• 8:25
Speaker 1: one ling up Alex Sports. As I mentioned in a
• 8:28
Speaker 1: while ago on my on my main channel, one lying
• 8:30
Speaker 1: up Alex Media. If you have a chance to go
• 8:33
Speaker 1: up two ozho here, and then if you have a
• 8:35
Speaker 1: chance to go up three to oh. I don't think
• 8:38
Speaker 1: any nick fan should be hoping for a loss just
• 8:41
Speaker 1: because of the glitz and glamour and glory of clinching
• 8:44
Speaker 1: Game five in New York. No, if you have a
• 8:46
Speaker 1: chance to clinching in Cleveland, get it done in Cleveland.
• 8:49
Speaker 1: We shouldn't waste time. If you have a chance to
• 8:52
Speaker 1: clinch in Cleveland. Clinch in Cleveland. Let the seven game
• 8:57
Speaker 1: series or the six game series or whatever it's gonna
• 9:00
Speaker 1: happened between the Thunder and the Spurds. Let them go seven.
• 9:05
Speaker 1: But if you can lock up this series and carry
• 9:11
Speaker 1: that momentum into Cleveland, you take care of business in Cleveland.
• 9:18
Speaker 1: Because yeah, it'd be cool, all right, they clinch the
• 9:21
Speaker 1: conference finals, they go to the NBA Finals, they clinch
• 9:23
Speaker 1: to New York. Yeah, that would be cool. But in
• 9:27
Speaker 1: my view, that would have meant you lost Game four
• 9:28
Speaker 1: because I think they could have win games two and three.
• 9:31
Speaker 1: And if you go up three to Oho, Ryan, if
• 9:34
Speaker 1: you go up three to oh in Cleveland, you should
• 9:39
Speaker 1: clock it out and knock it down right there in
• 9:42
Speaker 1: game four. Don't let it come back to New York
• 9:45
Speaker 1: because the momentum, it doesn't shift, but it dies down
• 9:49
Speaker 1: a little bit. I can see them winning games two
• 9:52
Speaker 1: and three. I really can setting up for an epic
• 9:56
Speaker 1: possibility of another sweep back to back series. Maybe I'm
• 10:01
Speaker 1: wrong tonight, I don't know, but the momentum. I saw,
• 10:04
Speaker 1: the momentum we all saw on Tuesday night, And yes
• 10:09
Speaker 1: I know, I was at Yankee Stadium during a pivotal
• 10:12
Speaker 1: first game of the conference finals. I get that, but
• 10:15
Speaker 1: I wasn't not following because damn right, I want to
• 10:18
Speaker 1: know what's going on. But I wasn't really. I was shocked,
• 10:26
Speaker 1: but I thought, Okay, fourth quarter, let's see what happens,
• 10:30
Speaker 1: and they came back for one of the biggest wins
• 10:34
Speaker 1: in the next franchise history. Even I would say up
• 10:39
Speaker 1: there with Willis Reed's Game seven. But the Knicks could
• 10:44
Speaker 1: win two and three, and if that's gonna happen, close
• 10:51
Speaker 1: it out in game four. And imagine, imagine what would
• 10:56
Speaker 1: happen if they did unleash Tyler Kohlik on the same
• 10:59
Speaker 1: calves and he dominated on Christmas Day. He was the
• 11:03
Speaker 1: back page on Zebra twenty sixth. He was the back
• 11:08
Speaker 1: page and the star, and for good reason. Now imagine
• 11:14
Speaker 1: you unleash him again in this series, or you wait
• 11:18
Speaker 1: to unleash him if they do advance, which they should.
• 11:21
Speaker 1: I don't want to speak too soon, but I got
• 11:23
Speaker 1: a good vibe. If they unleash him before the finals,
• 11:29
Speaker 1: boy he could work on those calves again. But if
• 11:33
Speaker 1: he gets in more rest and then gets unleashed in
• 11:36
Speaker 1: the finals, who we could be looking at something pretty
• 11:41
Speaker 1: dangerous and something pretty hopeful for the next but clock
• 11:48
Speaker 1: it out early. If you go up two games, try
• 11:53
Speaker 1: and go up three games. If you go up three games,
• 11:55
Speaker 1: seal the deal in Cleveland, and most importantly, carry the
• 12:01
Speaker 1: momentum from Tuesday and make this a very confident Conference
• 12:06
Speaker 1: finals for Nick fans. And that's my message at one
• 12:11
Speaker 1: look of Alex media
