- 0:43Speaker 1: Me well, come welcome, Well God the Sports Shot Show.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you
- 0:56Speaker 1: out there and listening. Land right off the back before
- 1:02Speaker 1: our raidar fan calls in and says that our technology
- 1:07Speaker 1: is not up the park. We try something new today.
- 1:13Speaker 1: A beautiful man that you see on your screen are live.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Two of them were kind of afraid of the work,
- 1:19Speaker 1: so we had to go to plan beat because Comanche
- 1:23Speaker 1: Gregg is scared of rain and the bad producer is
- 1:28Speaker 1: literally scad of everything. He plays tough, but all he
- 1:32Speaker 1: wants to do is find himself an association where can
- 1:36Speaker 1: shoot somebody. That's called fear. You know, some people have it,
- 1:42Speaker 1: some people don't. But I'm here with the guys. I
- 1:45Speaker 1: hope wherever you are you can hear us. We are clear.
- 1:52Speaker 1: We will have this and we will try this whenever
- 1:54Speaker 1: we can't get together, keep this in our back. I
- 1:57Speaker 1: can so here we go on this flush shot, on
- 2:02Speaker 1: this beautiful one day. The super Bowl is let me
- 2:07Speaker 1: let me you know, as you know, to my I
- 2:12Speaker 1: don't want to say, look like he's in his cigar room.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Is Big Kenny the funny man himself? Because which looks
- 2:20Speaker 1: kind of like a little sight of mayor.
- 2:23Speaker 7: Uh?
- 2:24Speaker 1: Is Gregg and bad producer who is kind of far
- 2:30Speaker 1: back so who knows where his lodgings are this morning?
- 2:36Speaker 8: Uh?
- 2:37Speaker 1: But is that a Georgia shirt on? I can't count
- 2:40Speaker 1: far back back there? It looks like a Georgia So
- 2:43Speaker 1: he's ready for college football season. But we are here.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Good morning, gentlemen. Can you hear me? I can? Good
- 2:51Speaker 1: morning everybody. Okay, okay, just want to make sure everybody
- 2:55Speaker 1: can hear everybody on the shoulders. The Boomer Bowl sixty
- 3:02Speaker 1: is set and and we will be heading to California.
- 3:08Speaker 1: My rams unfortunately came up a little short last night
- 3:13Speaker 1: to the Seahawks and then the Snow Bowl out there
- 3:16Speaker 1: in Denver. Uh. Just the crazy weather that just came in.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I'm quite sure as you if you saw the game.
- 3:25Speaker 1: The two touchdowns were without snow. Uh, and then it
- 3:29Speaker 1: became a snow bowl, a snow globe of teams just
- 3:34Speaker 1: trying to negotiate the weather. But gods, say, good morning,
- 3:38Speaker 1: how was your weekend? Did you enjoy sports? All of
- 3:40Speaker 1: you look kind of sad? Are you okay? I just
- 3:43Speaker 1: want to make sure with the weather? Are you all
- 3:45Speaker 1: on generators? Are you how you're working out? No sports jacket.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I'm on the same juice imballways don't okay? We did.
- 3:55Speaker 1: We did the four.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Very fortunate in my we didn't lose any power for
- 4:01Speaker 3: any amount of time. The streets relatively clear. I suppose
- 4:05Speaker 3: I hadn't been out trying to follow the orders of
- 4:08Speaker 3: the state and local governments. So but everything is good.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Excited for the Super Bowl. I was a little disappointed
- 4:17Speaker 3: with the Patriots, and and then for game in that
- 4:20Speaker 3: it became something that was h I'm not gonna say
- 4:25Speaker 3: hard to watch. But that Snow Bowl sort of diminished
- 4:29Speaker 3: what I thought was the excitement of the competition. So
- 4:35Speaker 3: you're not for.
- 4:38Speaker 1: No, no, it's just uh, maybe it was. I don't know.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I was looking for a lot more airing it out
- 4:46Speaker 3: between those two teams and when the snow started to come,
- 4:49Speaker 3: it became just strictly a ground and pound game, and
- 4:53Speaker 3: I respect that, but uh, you know, I was just
- 4:58Speaker 3: looking for something made a little more exciting with all
- 5:03Speaker 3: of the exciting football that we've had.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Leading up to these games. I was just looking for
- 5:10Speaker 1: something a little maybe a little more higher scoring. But
- 5:14Speaker 1: I thought it was.
- 5:15Speaker 3: I thought it was a great afternoon of football overall.
- 5:18Speaker 3: But I still and maybe I was disappointed that Denver
- 5:24Speaker 3: didn't win because I really wanted.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I just maybe maybe that maybe I wanted Denver
- 5:34Speaker 1: to win. Off to the Patriots. Nobody saw them here,
- 5:38Speaker 1: but uh, when Denver got this far, I just knew
- 5:42Speaker 1: it was going to be their year, and that didn't happen.
- 5:44Speaker 3: And then I think what was most disappointing to me,
- 5:48Speaker 3: or most surprising, is those conditions would have been perfect
- 5:52Speaker 3: for Denver had that been had they been playing Miami
- 5:55Speaker 3: or San Francisco. But they were playing some people who
- 5:58Speaker 3: come from a similar, uh geographically, so that the conditions
- 6:04Speaker 3: didn't affect them as you would have hoped. So they
- 6:08Speaker 3: just kept the business as usual and ended up pulling
- 6:11Speaker 3: it off.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Hatch off to the patent. Oh yeah, the games was great.
- 6:18Speaker 9: I was I wish the Rams would have won because
- 6:20Speaker 9: I wanted to see the Atlanta Super.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Bowl rematch the Rams in New England. That would have
- 6:26Speaker 1: been great to see that one again. Uh, because and
- 6:31Speaker 1: I'm happy for Mark may Drake May Mark he happy
- 6:42Speaker 1: for Mark Drake brother. Okay, thank you? Uh what you
- 6:50Speaker 1: think about the g.
- 6:55Speaker 10: I can enjoy every now and then a defensive struggle
- 6:59Speaker 10: with the the AFC Championship, Uh, it looked like Denver
- 7:04Speaker 10: had all the momentum after they scored that first touchdown.
- 7:08Speaker 10: But in that that kind of situation, I mean, you
- 7:13Speaker 10: can I give Stidham enough credit just to like just
- 7:17Speaker 10: to be out there and to like to give it
- 7:20Speaker 10: his best, like I don't think he really like folded.
- 7:24Speaker 10: And then with the NFC Championship, Uh, Seattle is a
- 7:28Speaker 10: lot better than people realize. They have the top scoring
- 7:34Speaker 10: defense in the league. And they and they've they've played
- 7:39Speaker 10: the ramp. This is the you know, this is these
- 7:41Speaker 10: are division rivals. So them playing a third time, Seattle,
- 7:44Speaker 10: you know, they knew some things and it was just
- 7:46Speaker 10: a matter of them making them plays themselves. And they
- 7:51Speaker 10: they kept the Rams enough, they kept them far away
- 7:54Speaker 10: enough to where they uh, they couldn't catch it. So
- 7:58Speaker 10: when they got a two possession lead, it was really
- 8:01Speaker 10: hard for the Rams to like get that extra stop,
- 8:04Speaker 10: make that extra play. But those are they were both.
- 8:07Speaker 10: They were both good games. And I like a snow
- 8:09Speaker 10: game too, so I had a good time watching.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Yeah. I love playing in the snow.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Uh.
- 8:19Speaker 1: It really tests all of everything, your concentration.
- 8:26Speaker 11: Uh.
- 8:26Speaker 1: You know, you saw the strategy between both teams that
- 8:30Speaker 1: they were willing just to sometimes throw the ball away
- 8:33Speaker 1: and live to see another play less punt because the
- 8:37Speaker 1: worst thing to do is to turn the ball over.
- 8:39Speaker 1: It becomes one of those games where everybody has to
- 8:43Speaker 1: try to keep their spling. And you watched the report.
- 8:47Speaker 1: You were happy when you started the game that there
- 8:50Speaker 1: was no snow because when that area the snow was
- 8:54Speaker 1: gonna come through here in Atlanta, they said it maybe snow.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I luckily it missed us here and all we got
- 9:01Speaker 1: was some rain and a little bit like that. So
- 9:04Speaker 1: but I thought the Rams and the Seahawks, as you said, Greg,
- 9:08Speaker 1: official rivals. Uh. If I want, I want to say
- 9:11Speaker 1: the Rams have won both meetings this year. Correct.
- 9:15Speaker 10: I thought they I think they I thought they split.
- 9:18Speaker 10: I thought they split the Yeah, I know they want.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I know the Ram because I watched it. I know
- 9:24Speaker 1: the Rams won one of the games.
- 9:26Speaker 10: Yeah, I think they split the games.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Okay and Seattle. Uh you know who just as one
- 9:34Speaker 1: of those teams when you look at him, Uh, they
- 9:36Speaker 1: don't have a brand name person, they don't have a
- 9:40Speaker 1: brand name coach, and the similar setto I think he's
- 9:45Speaker 1: always kind of been that way. We had a little
- 9:48Speaker 1: love for them with the Legion of Boom.
- 9:51Speaker 3: When they were the Legion of Boot there was only
- 9:54Speaker 3: one or two people that you really knew.
- 9:58Speaker 1: It wasn't like a team replete with the household names. Yeah.
- 10:04Speaker 1: And similar to the Patriots as well. Uh, most people
- 10:09Speaker 1: don't they know Tom Brady, they know Gronkowski, and then
- 10:13Speaker 1: you have to start piecing together when certain players were there,
- 10:18Speaker 1: Wes Walkers or was you know or Julian Elderman team.
- 10:23Speaker 1: You know, it was a lot of varioting on the
- 10:25Speaker 1: defensive side, you know sometimes other than Richard Seymour, you
- 10:29Speaker 1: didn't even know a lot of the defense guys throughout
- 10:32Speaker 1: the season. So uh, it makes it be a very
- 10:37Speaker 1: almost introduction to these two teams for Super Bowl sixty.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Can here's that producer. Is he back. I'm assuming he's
- 10:49Speaker 1: not saying any I mean that you hear us.
- 10:54Speaker 10: Well, I got him on the screen.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Sound like not only he has an oxygen tank or
- 10:59Speaker 1: something in the background. Is that your big PN Big Kenny,
- 11:05Speaker 1: Uh that that may be in the background. Here the
- 11:09Speaker 1: the the Heaton Working Well super Bowl six, Santa Claire
- 11:18Speaker 1: Levi Stadium, February eighth. Two teams that I think when
- 11:24Speaker 1: we come back, we talk about just miraculously made the
- 11:27Speaker 1: super Bowl. When you look at the Patriots for the
- 11:31Speaker 1: last two years four and thirteen. Uh, they got rid
- 11:35Speaker 1: of dry Mayo brought and Mike Rabel former teammate of
- 11:40Speaker 1: mine for two years with Stellers then on the other
- 11:44Speaker 1: side in his second year, Mike McDonald who used to
- 11:48Speaker 1: be the DC at Baltimore coming in, uh and in
- 11:53Speaker 1: two years getting this team after Pete Carroll who did
- 11:56Speaker 1: a great job Super Bowl there and his being able
- 12:02Speaker 1: to leave, come in in two years, getting the team two.
- 12:07Speaker 1: What they said last night was the fourth Super Bowl
- 12:10Speaker 1: for the Seahawks uh in their franchise history. So we're
- 12:15Speaker 1: gonna learn a lot of new names and new faces. UH,
- 12:19Speaker 1: some good players that just haven't been on people's radar, like,
- 12:24Speaker 1: what is his name? The receiver for the Seahawks Smith? Yeah, Jackson.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Is that his name? J Jackson, Jack the receiver that. Yeah,
- 12:36Speaker 1: that was doing a great job yesterday. Uh. And when
- 12:40Speaker 1: I saw him, every time I forget he's there. I
- 12:43Speaker 1: remember argue he, well, you went Ohio State, if I
- 12:46Speaker 1: remember correct, ye, even to Oyo State. So when I
- 12:52Speaker 1: saw him there, you know, and he I forgot that
- 12:56Speaker 1: he was out there. But then he reminded me last night.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Y'all must forget some of them catches. He was making
- 13:02Speaker 1: some of those places. Some of them places he made,
- 13:06Speaker 1: he was making us look shame that we forgot where
- 13:08Speaker 1: he was. But the biggest story as we come back
- 13:11Speaker 1: from break will be Sam Donald's. Uh, we've been doing
- 13:19Speaker 1: itself so long. I remember when you volunteered to drive
- 13:25Speaker 1: up to New York to help Sam Donald pass. Yeah,
- 13:30Speaker 1: that's how that's how bad you wanted him gone. Was
- 13:34Speaker 1: gonna put his stuff in the truck of my coffee.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I wouldn't gonna help him pack a truck. I was
- 13:41Speaker 1: going to help.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Move him personally. Look out trunk, Hi, go a little
- 13:45Speaker 3: money sandwich or something. But we're gonna have to get
- 13:50Speaker 3: you on up the road, so we'll be back.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Talk more about Super Bowl, Sam Donald's coaching hirings around
- 14:00Speaker 1: the NFL. H that much more on the Sports Shot Show.
- 14:06Speaker 4: To win, I thought to think and then I sink
- 14:09Speaker 4: get through the paper like I was in When I'm
- 14:12Speaker 4: right and I'm tapped in between the line, I skate
- 14:15Speaker 4: when I fantasy O brin, I got sold.
- 14:17Speaker 1: So so.
- 14:22Speaker 12: Don't go away.
- 14:23Speaker 13: More of The Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gandidias coming
- 14:26Speaker 13: up next.
- 14:29Speaker 6: Nobody had to tell your grandparents not to drive all
- 14:31Speaker 6: using their typewriters. Why should it be any different for
- 14:35Speaker 6: us kids and our cell phones. Distracted driving was the
- 14:39Speaker 6: cause of more than three thousand deaths in twenty twenty two.
- 14:43Speaker 6: Come on, we're smarter than this. Let's put down the
- 14:45Speaker 6: phones and focus on the roads.
- 14:47Speaker 14: Drive safe, everybody, don't drive distracted. A message brought to
- 14:52Speaker 14: you by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Project yellow Light,
- 14:56Speaker 14: and the AD Council.
- 14:58Speaker 5: And now let's talk about something excpt life insurance. Three
- 15:01Speaker 5: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 15:05Speaker 5: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 15:08Speaker 5: life insurance.
- 15:09Speaker 8: When I was twenty five, Me and my wife are
- 15:11Speaker 8: just getting started with our family and thought we live
- 15:13Speaker 8: forever life insurance. What's the last thing on my mind?
- 15:16Speaker 4: What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 15:19Speaker 8: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 15:21Speaker 8: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 15:23Speaker 8: survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 15:25Speaker 8: the insurance informant.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 15:29Speaker 5: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 15:32Speaker 8: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 15:34Speaker 8: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 15:36Speaker 5: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 15:38Speaker 5: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 15:41Speaker 5: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 15:43Speaker 5: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 15:46Speaker 5: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 15:51Speaker 5: Log on today benefits orbills dot Com. That's benefits orbills
- 15:56Speaker 5: dot Com.
- 16:00Speaker 15: When I smoke with I get lost in the music.
- 16:03Speaker 15: I'm like to isolate each instrument, the rhythmic base, the
- 16:07Speaker 15: harmonies on the piano with sticky melody.
- 16:13Speaker 16: Than he careful bab there's someone crossing the streets.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Sorry, I didn't see them there.
- 16:19Speaker 17: If you feel different, you drive different. Don't drive high.
- 16:23Speaker 17: It's dangerous and illegal everywhere. A message from NITZA and
- 16:27Speaker 17: the AD Council.
- 16:30Speaker 18: And now back to the Sports John Wayne Candy, the
- 16:36Speaker 18: Jock of the Day is sponsored by Mattress HEROESUSA dot
- 16:39Speaker 18: com the sleep you deserve at a price you can afford.
- 16:43Speaker 3: No, no, no, no.
- 16:43Speaker 18: Now it's time to present the Jock of the Day
- 16:46Speaker 18: on the Sports Jocksh's taken it.
- 16:48Speaker 1: To a completely different level.
- 16:50Speaker 5: This year where we highlight an appolte that has taken
- 16:53Speaker 5: their game to the next level.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Rick Round, It's to see.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Color, clarity, my clean.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Clean up, even good morning you got there and listening
- 17:34Speaker 1: plan we are throwing out against the wall. We're gonna
- 17:38Speaker 1: try UH a new concept for us. A lot of
- 17:44Speaker 1: people and a lot of events televised or broadcasts or
- 17:48Speaker 1: podcast or no through connecting through witcher or whatever. Brig
- 17:54Speaker 1: is using probably some homeboard network UH to make sure
- 17:57Speaker 1: we get the show off today. Due to all web
- 18:00Speaker 1: the restraints and Greg and bad producer's fear of driving
- 18:05Speaker 1: in bad weather. Big Kennedy funny man himself comanchie Greg
- 18:10Speaker 1: the bad producer super Bowl sixty is that the Patriots
- 18:15Speaker 1: will deal with the Seahawks. My grateful first year taking
- 18:20Speaker 1: a team that's been back for is the Baptist hand up? Yeah, yes, sir, okay,
- 18:28Speaker 1: you have something to say. Yeah, I didn't.
- 18:31Speaker 9: I didn't think I got to finish my statement about
- 18:33Speaker 9: the I was going for the Patriots, okay, and what
- 18:39Speaker 9: I thought about the because we got to cut off
- 18:42Speaker 9: and I was gonna ask I wanted to ask. And
- 18:44Speaker 9: it's been bothered me for like the last couple of
- 18:47Speaker 9: weeks since the Patriot's been in the Super Bowl.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Why we wasn't getting any Cardi b cutaways like we
- 18:58Speaker 1: were getting the Taylor swifts. Uh So, so with New England,
- 19:02Speaker 1: with New England.
- 19:03Speaker 9: Going down, we got a superstar singer and a football
- 19:09Speaker 9: player together, I mean, and then you know, I just
- 19:11Speaker 9: thought that the NFL would take advantage of that with
- 19:14Speaker 9: the Bad Bunny.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Situation, because I believe Cardigi has us all with Bad Bundy.
- 19:20Speaker 1: So you asked your own question, or you what, I
- 19:25Speaker 1: don't know, go ahead on you want to ask us
- 19:27Speaker 1: what I just thought I was wondering if y'all was
- 19:29Speaker 1: thinking the same thing.
- 19:30Speaker 9: Why we weren't getting any Cardi B sidings every thirty
- 19:33Speaker 9: seconds with Stefan Dee's called.
- 19:35Speaker 1: The ball or something. No, we were not thinking well,
- 19:39Speaker 1: first of all, Stefan Diggs. First of all, card B
- 19:43Speaker 1: is not taylors With to start there. Stephan Diggs is
- 19:48Speaker 1: not Travis Kelsey. Let's start there. Stephan Diggs has been
- 19:54Speaker 1: the media and being reported to have some difficulties with
- 19:59Speaker 1: different me. That's the crime. I don't know if you've
- 20:03Speaker 1: been keeping your eye on that. So I don't want
- 20:05Speaker 1: to see Gus wants to flash the guy that has,
- 20:09Speaker 1: you know, different domestic issues going on. Now we can
- 20:14Speaker 1: stop right there. Oh, we can spend the next seven
- 20:16Speaker 1: minutes uhaiting. But to me right there is enough for
- 20:22Speaker 1: you as the producer not to want to cut away
- 20:26Speaker 1: to bring that to life. Am I correct? Im? I wrong? Well? Hm,
- 20:36Speaker 1: yes and no, because it's a correct answer. And then
- 20:40Speaker 1: it's a what you said that could be a bad situation,
- 20:44Speaker 1: but you're making it too complicated.
- 20:46Speaker 3: He's just man because they didn't show Cardi B as
- 20:48Speaker 3: much as they showed the white girl.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Yeah, ain't that any bad? Just say that?
- 20:56Speaker 9: No, wh when you get when you got to inter
- 21:01Speaker 9: with She's an, she's Cardi B's the Internet, She's Puerto Rican,
- 21:05Speaker 9: she's got, she's cross old. She's a star. She may
- 21:10Speaker 9: not be Taylor's a star, but she is a star.
- 21:13Speaker 9: That Uh that that she when she says a lot
- 21:17Speaker 9: of things in America, it comes back out. I mean
- 21:20Speaker 9: it's regurgitated. Joe Biden interviewed her for when he was running. Uh,
- 21:27Speaker 9: there's a lot of interesting I'm just asking the question.
- 21:29Speaker 9: I'm just thinking if you want to get the women
- 21:31Speaker 9: in and you want to know we.
- 21:32Speaker 10: Like, we like to learn.
- 21:34Speaker 1: We like to learn stuffing from you as well. Sometimes
- 21:38Speaker 1: come here to prostitute us for information. We want to
- 21:42Speaker 1: hear and learn a few I just would imagine that
- 21:45Speaker 1: if me and you are producing a show a television
- 21:49Speaker 1: and Stepan dig for what he has put the last
- 21:52Speaker 1: couple of months for legal issues, are we supposed to
- 21:57Speaker 1: be broadcasting?
- 21:59Speaker 9: But okay, if that's the case, every time he catches
- 22:02Speaker 9: the ball, we shouldn't even say his name, did.
- 22:07Speaker 4: I mean, there's no if there's no.
- 22:09Speaker 9: Way you can't go without talking to mentioning him if
- 22:12Speaker 9: he's playing in the game, So go ahead and take
- 22:14Speaker 9: advantage other situations, CBS.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I don't have to add I don't have to add
- 22:20Speaker 1: in other stuff. And you are fifty six fifty seven
- 22:22Speaker 1: years old man, and sometimes you sound and this is
- 22:25Speaker 1: no offense. You are not trying to live the game
- 22:29Speaker 1: of life. First of all, there is no direct line.
- 22:34Speaker 1: I go out to dinner with a lot of guys.
- 22:37Speaker 1: People come up to the table, they ask for those
- 22:39Speaker 1: guys autographs. I played three or four times longer than them.
- 22:48Speaker 1: They played opposition that brought their fame. I'm witnessed. Man
- 22:54Speaker 1: doesn't know, but I sit with guys that's been in
- 22:56Speaker 1: trouble and guy and the fans walk right by them.
- 23:01Speaker 1: If me and you are a producer, we're not you.
- 23:04Speaker 1: You you are gonna get fired, Your rings are gonna low.
- 23:08Speaker 1: You live in that box of era. I think they
- 23:11Speaker 1: do a good job with Steph Vun Diggs. And you
- 23:17Speaker 1: sound crazy that I can't say his name in the game.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I'm a broadcaster, say the ball. I understand what you say.
- 23:26Speaker 9: I just I just asked the serious question as a
- 23:29Speaker 9: question that came up a lot when you got the
- 23:32Speaker 9: bad Bunny situation. He's gonna be performing Cardi B's Puerto
- 23:36Speaker 9: Rican like I said she has assault. She's been with
- 23:38Speaker 9: stephan On all season. Everybody know that. So they're in
- 23:42Speaker 9: the playoffs. Just thought, maybe you can get a little
- 23:45Speaker 9: Cardi B siting.
- 23:46Speaker 1: But that's fine. I understand. Well, Cardi B in her
- 23:50Speaker 1: own right, just got out of a marriage. A lot
- 23:53Speaker 1: of scrupin me about her being pregnant by another man.
- 23:57Speaker 1: You got all kinds stuff that does not actually line up.
- 24:01Speaker 1: None of that goes along with Kelsey and take and
- 24:04Speaker 1: towards sports Jack.
- 24:05Speaker 3: You just sounded like a boss of leading into the
- 24:09Speaker 3: top stories the bad producer. I don't think you understand marketability.
- 24:14Speaker 3: You're trying to market chaos and confusion. That's what that
- 24:19Speaker 3: demographic value. But the NFL is trying to market a
- 24:24Speaker 3: family friendly event. Family friendly. We are a that don't
- 24:30Speaker 3: say two baby daddies in six months and domestic violence,
- 24:35Speaker 3: and that does none of that rings Hey, Grandma, get
- 24:40Speaker 3: the kids and come watch this.
- 24:42Speaker 9: And well, okay, let's go back to the some of
- 24:45Speaker 9: the past performers.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Then people from the public eye and it's not that's all. Well,
- 24:52Speaker 1: let's go back to some of the past perform that's
- 24:54Speaker 1: not a new environment. You don't get to keep in
- 25:00Speaker 1: the past, for the past doesn't have anything to do
- 25:07Speaker 1: with it today. In this situation, Cardi b is not
- 25:12Speaker 1: performing at Super Bowl unless Bad Bunny brings her out
- 25:16Speaker 1: with Now, I'm quite sure she called to try to
- 25:18Speaker 1: get on. If she wasn't on, what about their situation
- 25:24Speaker 1: makes for good production?
- 25:28Speaker 9: Oh, it would have been It would have been great, right,
- 25:31Speaker 9: It would have been great. Raised people would have talked
- 25:33Speaker 9: about it if they would have just flashed to her.
- 25:36Speaker 9: I know, I'm just saying it would have It would
- 25:38Speaker 9: have made a difference. It just as if you flashing
- 25:43Speaker 9: to anyone else in the statement are these people?
- 25:47Speaker 1: These people? Now? I'm just saying I just thought.
- 25:50Speaker 9: It and if it's a part of the entertainment, and
- 25:54Speaker 9: I'm being serious, I'm just saying that I.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Thought, maybe it's not all part of the entertainment.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Story sports jock, let me say this really quick. You
- 26:04Speaker 3: say it's all part of the entertainment. One of the
- 26:07Speaker 3: biggest criticisms about Bad Bunny doing the halftime show is
- 26:13Speaker 3: he's the world, the whole world's number one selling artists
- 26:17Speaker 3: and people in America really don't know him. So if
- 26:20Speaker 3: the number one selling artist in the world isn't really
- 26:23Speaker 3: known by people. Where do you think Cardi b fits
- 26:27Speaker 3: into that lexicon? It's all I'm asking you.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Said, is known here, she's known to the American artist.
- 26:38Speaker 1: That's all I was saying. I'm not.
- 26:41Speaker 3: That's what She's not as important to the world as
- 26:44Speaker 3: she is to you. And on your timeline, it seems
- 26:48Speaker 3: like that you.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Will be back Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 26:57Speaker 6: Don't show my whole Nioe company are good to Homy
- 27:00Speaker 6: not a Navy Could you ever.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Try to play me to kill a monosa on walk
- 27:04Speaker 3: about the Boot.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Through the Westbrook rack a pave?

- 27:35Speaker 1: When is the last time you reached out for help?

- 28:52Speaker 4: Now slamming when when going to work. It's a.
- 29:01Speaker 18: Land.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Wherever you are, you have power. I hope you're staying warm.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Winter storm crossing the country from Texas all the way
- 29:12Speaker 1: up to New England. It's it's been snow here where
- 29:17Speaker 1: I lived, it was just raining a little bit of ice.
- 29:19Speaker 1: But the world has made it to Monday. Super Bowl
- 29:22Speaker 1: sixty is upon us. The Seahawks will take on the
- 29:27Speaker 1: Patriots in this game. We have two quarterbacks eighth year
- 29:32Speaker 1: in the league, Sam Donald, Drake May on the other
- 29:37Speaker 1: side for the Patriots. I want to say his great
- 29:40Speaker 1: second year as quarterback. There you have Sam Donald who
- 29:46Speaker 1: is eight years He was drafted in twenty eighteen along
- 29:49Speaker 1: with Baker Mayfield, Josh Rose in job You know what,
- 29:54Speaker 1: Josh Rose, I don't even think he's the league. Lamar
- 29:58Speaker 1: Jackson's and Josh Allen. Where is he?
- 30:01Speaker 10: He's in business school?
- 30:03Speaker 1: Oh, business school. So you look at those are the
- 30:06Speaker 1: five quarterbacks in twenty eighteen that was drafted in the
- 30:09Speaker 1: first round. And surprisingly, out of that five, Sam Donald
- 30:15Speaker 1: is the first one to make it to eight Super Bowl.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Sam Donald on his fifteen he was a young, scrapping
- 30:24Speaker 1: young man playing for the JTS. I guess Big Kenny
- 30:33Speaker 1: didn't hear me right there, But Kenny, I don't think
- 30:39Speaker 1: he can hear me. I hear you now. Oh there
- 30:42Speaker 1: you go. The JPS checks checks check. I'm in transition.
- 30:47Speaker 1: I can't really say it. Francis Donald, listening to people's
- 30:56Speaker 1: comments about this young man, was really showing you what
- 31:00Speaker 1: perseverance can do. I know a lot of people are
- 31:04Speaker 1: giving up on him. He probably at one point maybe
- 31:07Speaker 1: giving up on itself a young quarterback, even back when
- 31:11Speaker 1: he first got with the Jets, I thought they were
- 31:14Speaker 1: going to try to sit him for a year, let
- 31:16Speaker 1: him learn. They pushed him out there like they tend
- 31:20Speaker 1: to do with their young quarterbacks, lost his confidence. But
- 31:24Speaker 1: back to back seasons last year with the Vikings, I
- 31:27Speaker 1: think they were fourteen and three, and this year being
- 31:31Speaker 1: able to get his team to the Super Bowl. Cam
- 31:37Speaker 1: Donald the style of game, and I think that's the
- 31:39Speaker 1: key for both the Vikings and the Seahawks. They put
- 31:45Speaker 1: Sam where he can just be a game general and
- 31:50Speaker 1: not in a situation where like Josh Allen and Lamar
- 31:54Speaker 1: Jackson that he has to go out and play hero ball.
- 32:06Speaker 3: And somehow without him being pressured to play hero ball,
- 32:11Speaker 3: he has come up with some heroic antics.
- 32:15Speaker 1: It seems that you say he lost his confidence when
- 32:18Speaker 1: he was with the Jets. The Jets.
- 32:20Speaker 3: That has always been my number one criticism against the
- 32:24Speaker 3: Jets is they are the quarterback confidence killer. They take
- 32:28Speaker 3: the number one draft pick or the highest draft pick
- 32:33Speaker 3: from the highest draft picks that you can get in
- 32:35Speaker 3: a draft and throw them out there, and then they
- 32:39Speaker 3: don't do well and that market and all of that
- 32:43Speaker 3: them up and then they disappear into where where all
- 32:50Speaker 3: of the the number one quarterback that they've had. You
- 32:53Speaker 3: barely even know where they are now. So I'm glad
- 32:57Speaker 3: Sam Darnold found his footing. It wasting to me. I
- 33:00Speaker 3: was looking up some of his stats. I forgot when
- 33:02Speaker 3: he was in San Francisco. I forgot when he was
- 33:05Speaker 3: in North Carolina. I just remember Minnesota and those bleak
- 33:11Speaker 3: seasons with the Jets.
- 33:17Speaker 1: That's been hold on to him long. When you look
- 33:19Speaker 1: at him, you know he's just spent a year, went
- 33:23Speaker 1: to San fran he was back up Carolina. The kind
- 33:26Speaker 1: of gut him, maybe thinking he could be the starter,
- 33:29Speaker 1: and then they gave up on him as well. But
- 33:32Speaker 1: I think over the last two years as he's shown
- 33:36Speaker 1: that he has kind of found his way. As you said,
- 33:39Speaker 1: it's putting command see greg and been able to defense
- 33:43Speaker 1: minded teams, managed the game. Yeah, ma'am, ma'am, Yeah, it
- 33:50Speaker 1: might be.
- 33:53Speaker 10: No go ahead. Gree wasn't saying like, I don't know
- 33:57Speaker 10: if they're look at this situation and it'll be a
- 34:02Speaker 10: It's one of those situations where he was a backup
- 34:06Speaker 10: with the forty nine ers. A lot of people didn't
- 34:08Speaker 10: know he was there, but he was a backup there.
- 34:11Speaker 10: And when as the It's one of those situations where
- 34:15Speaker 10: as a backup, your value goes up because we've seen
- 34:19Speaker 10: you be a starter before and now that we see
- 34:24Speaker 10: the potential that you could be a starter again.
- 34:27Speaker 14: Uh.
- 34:27Speaker 10: I think that's and then he goes to Minnesota and
- 34:30Speaker 10: then and then comes to Seattle where his value is
- 34:32Speaker 10: going up, and it really was. That's kind of what
- 34:37Speaker 10: the role he has settled into is to being that
- 34:39Speaker 10: that game manager, game general kind of player, kind of
- 34:42Speaker 10: quarterback where he doesn't they're gonna lean on running the
- 34:45Speaker 10: They're gonna run the football, and they have this top defense,
- 34:49Speaker 10: so he's not being asked to do a whole lot,
- 34:52Speaker 10: but when he does make those few plays that they need,
- 34:56Speaker 10: it makes him look a lot better. I feel like
- 34:59Speaker 10: it might give him a little too much credit. But
- 35:03Speaker 10: look there in the Super Bowl, so I mean he's
- 35:06Speaker 10: he's done the right things to get there.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Well, you you still't making him. Look he threw the
- 35:12Speaker 1: three touchdowns last night.
- 35:14Speaker 10: I mean, but Staffer, he doesn't have he hasn't had
- 35:19Speaker 10: those games all the time, where like he didn't do
- 35:25Speaker 10: he didn't do a whole lot against the forty nine ers,
- 35:27Speaker 10: but you know, they they made a lot of plays
- 35:30Speaker 10: on special teams and on defense where he didn't have
- 35:32Speaker 10: to do a whole lot. So it's like, you can't
- 35:34Speaker 10: You're not just gonna you can't just look at the
- 35:36Speaker 10: numbers and and and and and see that he's done all.
- 35:43Speaker 10: He's done so much. But I think there there have
- 35:47Speaker 10: been situations where he hasn't had to do a lot.
- 35:50Speaker 10: But because people look at quarterback wins, he's gonna get
- 35:56Speaker 10: more credit than he probably should.
- 35:58Speaker 1: But make you great, Let me what what what krit Dilfer?
- 36:04Speaker 1: If you go back Drid Dilfer Russell Wilson who played
- 36:08Speaker 1: who quarterbacks to Seattle. They did their job and.
- 36:12Speaker 3: That's what he said. That's when you when you have
- 36:15Speaker 3: a defense he's and that's what I'm saying. You said,
- 36:19Speaker 3: you said he hadn't been asked to do a whole lot.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Like he's a quarterback. How much more should he have
- 36:24Speaker 3: to do?
- 36:25Speaker 1: Well, he's he doesn't have to.
- 36:26Speaker 10: It doesn't have to be like a Josh Allen situation
- 36:28Speaker 10: where he has to go and put on the cape
- 36:30Speaker 10: and and and carry this team he didn't have.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Maybe that's why Josh Allen been to the Super Bowl
- 36:36Speaker 1: because he he does he did not just as much
- 36:41Speaker 1: as Troy Aitman did for the Cowboys. Thank you, thank you, Okay, yeah,
- 36:46Speaker 1: I give you that thing. That's I think Big Kenny is.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Big Kenny is saying, like a lot of times, what
- 36:52Speaker 1: has happened? You're looking for a dazzling play, but I'm
- 36:58Speaker 1: just I'm just playing. I'm just trying to get the ball.
- 37:01Speaker 10: To the man and looking for the dazzling play essentially.
- 37:07Speaker 3: And I'm saying that he's seen the Josh Allens and
- 37:10Speaker 3: the boy from what's His c J. Strouds, and the
- 37:16Speaker 3: Caleb Williams that we expect that to be the blueprint
- 37:21Speaker 3: for quarterbacks. And most of them are the Troy Aiman uh,
- 37:27Speaker 3: the Peyton Mannings, the drop back, the get the ball
- 37:32Speaker 3: to the open man to move the ball down the field,
- 37:35Speaker 3: fundamental go to the Hall of Fame type quarterbacks. And
- 37:39Speaker 3: this is Sam Donald is doing what they pay him
- 37:42Speaker 3: to do.
- 37:43Speaker 10: What I'm saying is that we're not giving credit to
- 37:47Speaker 10: really anybody else. It's just like Sam Donald did play
- 37:53Speaker 10: well last night, but they're are the for them to
- 37:57Speaker 10: get to this point, there were it's not just him,
- 38:00Speaker 10: and I think sometimes.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Well I think that's what I'm saying though, from my opinion,
- 38:10Speaker 1: Greg is that we always give too much credit to
- 38:15Speaker 1: one person in a team game. Anyway, if you left
- 38:20Speaker 1: it up to the Bulls fans, Michael Jordan was the
- 38:22Speaker 1: only person playing on the court. Nobody else scored, nobody
- 38:27Speaker 1: else rebounded, none of that kind of thing. So I
- 38:30Speaker 1: don't know where Sam Donald was supposed to do anything
- 38:33Speaker 1: better than last night's. Efficiency is to move, mobility, throwing
- 38:36Speaker 1: the ball away. I think we have we have put
- 38:40Speaker 1: in the imagination of the fan that all you need
- 38:43Speaker 1: is a quarterback. And that's where Lamar and Josh allenen
- 38:49Speaker 1: to Falter, you want me to do repeople's jobs, And
- 38:56Speaker 1: I'm just one man, so if any thing, But sometimes
- 39:01Speaker 1: that's what teams do. They going invest in a quarterback
- 39:04Speaker 1: so much that they can't get the second and third
- 39:07Speaker 1: player to help him out. But Ben Rothsburg won a
- 39:11Speaker 1: Super Bowl. The bab Dus is just in and Russell.
- 39:14Speaker 1: This is how to win a super Bowl. The way
- 39:16Speaker 1: Sam Donald is playing football is really how you actually
- 39:21Speaker 1: win super Bowls. The defense. An efficient quarterback with a
- 39:28Speaker 1: solid defense. Yeah, and that's what everybody giving credit to
- 39:33Speaker 1: Matt Stafford, Like two of the top five receivers in
- 39:37Speaker 1: the league. But they keep saying Matt Stafford. I'm not
- 39:40Speaker 1: taking things away from Matt because he is getting the ball,
- 39:43Speaker 1: but they act like that he doesn't have the best
- 39:46Speaker 1: receiver in the game who makes miraculous catches. That's just
- 39:50Speaker 1: how it goes. So I don't know. I think I'm
- 39:53Speaker 1: not giving more credit to Sam. I'm saying from a
- 39:57Speaker 1: guy that was actually tossed as I to find his
- 40:02Speaker 1: way back onto the field and finally show us, at
- 40:07Speaker 1: least for two seasons. Why the Jets administration. There's a
- 40:13Speaker 1: guy that got fired because Sam didn't produce that is
- 40:16Speaker 1: sitting somewhere. Like I told y'all, I told you, I told.
- 40:21Speaker 3: You he had you.
- 40:22Speaker 1: We just in order to get to it. I knew it, Yes, sir,
- 40:28Speaker 1: and Damn might have got just tied of packing his bags.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Five five teams and eight years. That's a lot of
- 40:38Speaker 1: teams puts out right after.

- 43:36Speaker 1: You see in football or you see in NBA, it's

- 43:45Speaker 1: that are going in like they're under some pressure to
- 43:49Speaker 1: always put in a certain amount of people. With baseball,
- 43:53Speaker 1: we've seen here recently and for a long time that
- 43:56Speaker 1: they if it's just two people, two people, one is one.
- 44:01Speaker 1: But they don't seem to force this idea where they
- 44:04Speaker 1: have to have sixty seven people. Andrew Jones here in Atlanta,
- 44:09Speaker 1: we know Andrew he also played with the Yankees. I'm
- 44:13Speaker 1: quite sure he's filled another team, but the praise drafted
- 44:16Speaker 1: him when he was a young, scrapping eighteen nineteen year old,
- 44:21Speaker 1: one of the best center fielders defensively that has ever
- 44:26Speaker 1: played the game. Kind of getting the recognition. How do
- 44:29Speaker 1: you guys feel about these two players?
- 44:34Speaker 10: Actually, I'm excited that Andrew Jones finally got in, Like
- 44:40Speaker 10: you said, one of the best defensive center fielders ever
- 44:46Speaker 10: y'all can look. People go look at the numbers. They're
- 44:48Speaker 10: going the best ever at his position. I think what
- 44:52Speaker 10: took so long for him to get in? I think
- 44:54Speaker 10: we will get hung up on offensive numbers. You know,
- 44:59Speaker 10: normally the magic number for home runs is five hundred,
- 45:03Speaker 10: but if someone is hitting between four hundred and four
- 45:05Speaker 10: point fifty, some people, some voters, I feel like, use
- 45:09Speaker 10: that as an excuse to to keep them out of
- 45:12Speaker 10: the Hall of Fame and not really, and defensive numbers
- 45:16Speaker 10: really aren't considered like that. It's either you got to
- 45:18Speaker 10: have a lot of hits or a lot of home runs,
- 45:22Speaker 10: and the other awards like the Gold Gloves or even
- 45:25Speaker 10: the Silver Sluggers don't really count for much. But I
- 45:30Speaker 10: think we're in an era now where some of the
- 45:33Speaker 10: players that we did watch that even had an inkling
- 45:37Speaker 10: of steroid talk about them, are not going to get in.
- 45:42Speaker 1: So who's that lead? Now?
- 45:44Speaker 10: We have to look at the other players who don't
- 45:46Speaker 10: have that stain on them, and you have to kind
- 45:52Speaker 10: of alter what is considered a Hall of Fame player
- 45:55Speaker 10: because those numbers, those magic numbers you're looking for, those
- 45:59Speaker 10: guys aren't always gonna have it. So I'm glad that
- 46:03Speaker 10: the voters took a harder look and enough got got
- 46:09Speaker 10: Andrew Jones and Carlos Beltrain in.
- 46:14Speaker 1: So Greg, let me ask you, this, is it fair
- 46:16Speaker 1: to continue to punish the Roger Clemmens, the Bear Bonds
- 46:20Speaker 1: over stuff that especially in bonds case, where show me
- 46:28Speaker 1: this tainted sample you had, don't don't tell me about
- 46:31Speaker 1: the speculation. Show me, yeah, that's that's that's a thing
- 46:36Speaker 1: that it's just you would ask the prosecutor. But if you,
- 46:43Speaker 1: but it wouldn't hold up in court.
- 46:45Speaker 10: And now I wanted to ask, and those writers would say, well,
- 46:50Speaker 10: it doesn't have to this ain't this ain't court. I
- 46:52Speaker 10: can vote however I want. I mean, that's why those
- 46:54Speaker 10: guys still haven't gotten in.
- 46:56Speaker 1: But as a as a DJ yourself, I'm I'm over here,
- 47:05Speaker 1: who's never done anything. I'm over here voting for you. Right.
- 47:08Speaker 1: I don't actually have any evidence that you was using
- 47:13Speaker 1: ai AI, but I keep you from being in the
- 47:21Speaker 1: DJ Hall of Fame because I kind of heard you
- 47:24Speaker 1: was using Is that fair to you? No?
- 47:31Speaker 10: I mean, and it's it's not fair, but but that
- 47:34Speaker 10: but I'm just going to buy it. Like that's how
- 47:35Speaker 10: these writers. That's how these writers work.
- 47:40Speaker 9: Like the directord.
- 47:41Speaker 10: That's how these writers work. Talk talk to the talk
- 47:47Speaker 10: to the people who vote for it, because that's that's
- 47:49Speaker 10: how they go. It could be like you tried that,
- 47:53Speaker 10: you tried to say it's not I know, I know, it's.
- 47:58Speaker 1: I'm telling you, as a player, if I'm sitting here,
- 48:01Speaker 1: regardless of what you think, you're gonna hold me back
- 48:05Speaker 1: from a goal in my life because of what you think.
- 48:12Speaker 10: That's that's how petty these these that's how petty these
- 48:15Speaker 10: voters are. It could be you you didn't give me
- 48:18Speaker 10: that interview that one day during your second year in
- 48:21Speaker 10: the league. I'm not voting for you for the Hall
- 48:23Speaker 10: of Fame. You hit a thousand home runs? Nah nah,
- 48:27Speaker 10: he was mean to me that day.
- 48:30Speaker 3: For him, I'm asking the same people who vote for
- 48:35Speaker 3: the All Star Game for the same people who vote
- 48:38Speaker 3: for the Hall of Fame.
- 48:39Speaker 10: Well, it's it's uh they I mean, they vote. They
- 48:43Speaker 10: may vote for you know, I mean, the media does
- 48:46Speaker 10: vote for the All Star like they do like percentages
- 48:49Speaker 10: or or what have you. But there's a certain set
- 48:52Speaker 10: of writers that vote for the Hall of Fame.
- 48:54Speaker 1: So is that why you don't see classes people?
- 48:58Speaker 3: Because a lot of a non baseball plane guys, baseball
- 49:03Speaker 3: covering guys.
- 49:04Speaker 1: They're not baseball.
- 49:05Speaker 3: Plane guys are gatekeeping entry into the Hall of Fame?
- 49:10Speaker 1: Maybe?
- 49:11Speaker 18: Uh?
- 49:11Speaker 1: In other sports, are there people who played the sports
- 49:16Speaker 1: voting more? I know with the Pro Bowl, the Pro
- 49:20Speaker 1: Bowl is selected by the other players.
- 49:23Speaker 10: Correct, Uh, yeah, well they're that that's part of the
- 49:28Speaker 10: Like the player vote counts for a certain percentage, the
- 49:31Speaker 10: fan vote counts for some percentage. As far as with
- 49:34Speaker 10: Pro Bowls are all star games, it could.
- 49:36Speaker 3: Interview after the game, the writer still holding that against somebody,
- 49:41Speaker 3: but the players, like I was tired, I didn't, you know,
- 49:43Speaker 3: get out my face.
- 49:45Speaker 10: It was a certain set of writers vote for the
- 49:48Speaker 10: Baseball Hall of Fame, and they could, they could choose
- 49:53Speaker 10: to not vote for someone for any reason. I mean,
- 49:55Speaker 10: that's why you got to get seventy five percent of
- 49:57Speaker 10: the vote. And that's why in the higher history we've
- 50:01Speaker 10: only had one unanimous Hall of Famer, and that was
- 50:04Speaker 10: Mariano Rivera. That just happened a few years ago. So
- 50:07Speaker 10: to think that all the other great players, like how
- 50:11Speaker 10: is Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron not unanimous Hall of Famers?
- 50:15Speaker 10: But it could be for the smallest reasons about not
- 50:19Speaker 10: giving the interview, and then that the if I think
- 50:23Speaker 10: or if someone told me you might have used steroids
- 50:27Speaker 10: or you might have gambled, then that's enough to disqualify
- 50:31Speaker 10: because that, you know, it's the integrity of the game
- 50:35Speaker 10: that these writers are trying to upheld.
- 50:37Speaker 1: A integrity that then that's not not integrity.
- 50:46Speaker 10: Yeah, they call.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Me back because you don't agree with something I did,
- 50:57Speaker 1: then that's biased. That's not integrity because that has nothing
- 51:01Speaker 1: to do with I love the league, leading the league
- 51:04Speaker 1: at home, man, be not giving an interview to you
- 51:08Speaker 1: has nothing to do with what you like. You can't
- 51:13Speaker 1: not mention it just because I didn't show your girl friend.
- 51:23Speaker 4: Like that for decades.
- 51:26Speaker 9: It's it's super patty because of the fact that you
- 51:29Speaker 9: can look at Dale Murphy a lot of break just
- 51:32Speaker 9: his whole situation as a.
- 51:34Speaker 1: I mean that, let you know, is super biddy. We'll
- 51:39Speaker 1: be back for more of the Sports Job Show after this,
- 51:43Speaker 1: back to.
- 51:44Speaker 7: The beds out.
- 51:44Speaker 4: When the kids out put you from a new new,
- 51:48Speaker 4: come a.
- 51:48Speaker 1: New new something like it comes the game.
- 51:51Speaker 16: Bro.
- 51:51Speaker 1: When I came in and.
- 51:53Speaker 4: Getting money, you.
- 51:55Speaker 10: Can stop me if you tried.

- 53:04Speaker 22: Addy Center Court on sports news gossip blah blah blah
- 53:14Speaker 22: blah blah.
- 53:25Speaker 16: Choose wisely, my well, signe.
- 53:32Speaker 1: My song, so fel my.
- 53:37Speaker 16: Cross side.
- 53:41Speaker 4: To help count it?
- 53:43Speaker 1: When help count it? Av you don't be like that
- 53:52Speaker 1: because your team didn't make it. Uh that one of
- 53:55Speaker 1: these things when bring a Super Bowl back the Patriots?
- 53:59Speaker 1: UH about to give Robert Craft another super Bowl? Or
- 54:04Speaker 1: will it be the album in the Seahawk being able
- 54:09Speaker 1: to hoist another trophy up there? They're doing it with
- 54:12Speaker 1: Sam Donald and the Seahawks, Drake May doing it with
- 54:18Speaker 1: the Patriots. Mike Rabel his first year. What a great
- 54:21Speaker 1: job he's done. You have to look seriously. And that's
- 54:25Speaker 1: why I say it can possibly be a bunch of
- 54:29Speaker 1: coaches of the years, because a lot of these teams
- 54:33Speaker 1: in one year with new head coaches or new quarterbacks
- 54:37Speaker 1: rose to the top. Even when you look at a
- 54:41Speaker 1: young guy like a Boat Mix and what he done.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Sean Payton, A great job he did there, Mike McDonald
- 54:47Speaker 1: in the Super Bowl with the Seahawks in year two. So,
- 54:51Speaker 1: but Mike Rabel taking a team back to back years,
- 54:53Speaker 1: scouring thirteen Big Kenny has him coming as on.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Yeah, something that I think is this thing. We've got
- 55:02Speaker 3: some comments from our online listeners. This has been one
- 55:05Speaker 3: of the conversations since the Rams Seahawks game last night.
- 55:11Speaker 3: Uncle Charlie, he said he always thought that points win games.
- 55:15Speaker 3: The Rams tried one of Dan Campbell's plays and should
- 55:19Speaker 3: have kicked the field goal and put pressure back on
- 55:22Speaker 3: Seattle down only a point. Some of the people that
- 55:27Speaker 3: I communicated with during the game were very, very anti
- 55:31Speaker 3: wide or very agitated by the fact that they did
- 55:34Speaker 3: not kick the field goal.
- 55:36Speaker 1: I know that in the.
- 55:39Speaker 3: Patriots Denver game, kicking a field goal didn't seem wide
- 55:43Speaker 3: because of the weather conditions, but last night it seemed
- 55:46Speaker 3: like a field goal would have been something that was
- 55:48Speaker 3: very doable for the Los Angeles Rams, but they didn't
- 55:52Speaker 3: take it. And now, the thing that I kept thinking
- 55:54Speaker 3: about was the play to win, not play to not lose,
- 55:57Speaker 3: but to play to win aspect of the game. And
- 56:00Speaker 3: that's all I star last night. But what were your
- 56:02Speaker 3: thoughts about that? We also, UH have our loyal listener
- 56:07Speaker 3: from New York. Uh the Raiders fan says, Uh, you
- 56:11Speaker 3: sound like a Transformer and I was thinking like a
- 56:14Speaker 3: lady Girl Transformer, but it's an actual transformer named sound Wave.
- 56:19Speaker 3: He says that you sound like sound Waves sports jock,
- 56:22Speaker 3: so maybe that's something you can get in on the
- 56:24Speaker 3: Transformers movie.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Sound Okay, okay, I don't know how to control that, but.
- 56:39Speaker 10: And yeah, yeah you sound fine. I can hear everyone
- 56:46Speaker 10: just fine.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Yeah. I have to go back and watch the Transformers.
- 56:53Speaker 1: See what sound waves?
- 56:55Speaker 10: Okay, yeah, I just got the Transformer sound just so
- 57:02Speaker 10: for the most part, I can hear you fine. When
- 57:04Speaker 10: I looked away. Yeah, if you turn your head, it
- 57:08Speaker 10: might do it.
- 57:09Speaker 1: Thank you for yeah, thank you for that input. We
- 57:14Speaker 1: appreciate it. Working on this ten year old phone. So
- 57:18Speaker 1: maybe that has something to do with it. At one
- 57:21Speaker 1: twenty seven, Sean m vay, it was fourth and four.
- 57:25Speaker 1: You think, right there, it's like five minutes to go
- 57:28Speaker 1: in the game, and I think it's always hindsight is
- 57:30Speaker 1: twenty twenty. You can kick the field goal, make it
- 57:34Speaker 1: thirty one thirty. At that point you still got to
- 57:37Speaker 1: play defense, I think, is what Uncle Charlie is saying.
- 57:41Speaker 1: But teum McVay crusts his offense. He feels like they're
- 57:46Speaker 1: based on offense, and you feel like his strategy he
- 57:49Speaker 1: wants to leave. He's the moment. He wants to put
- 57:52Speaker 1: the pressure on Sam Donald to have to make a play.
- 57:55Speaker 10: Now.
- 57:55Speaker 1: If anything, it would have been thirty four thirty one,
- 57:59Speaker 1: the Seahawks would at least have to go down and
- 58:01Speaker 1: kick a field goal. But I would have Errord probably
- 58:06Speaker 1: on taking the field goal myself, because you had five
- 58:08Speaker 1: minutes plus to go and two time outs. But Sean McVay,
- 58:15Speaker 1: you know, you gotta realize I haven't watched every minute
- 58:19Speaker 1: of every Rams game, but that's what kind of minds
- 58:23Speaker 1: that he's been and that's how he's had a success
- 58:27Speaker 1: with his team. Kind of like a Dan Campbell out
- 58:29Speaker 1: of Detroit. Then you can all of a sudden switch
- 58:32Speaker 1: it up at that moment, so you know the storyline
- 58:38Speaker 1: of the team for the full season. I don't know,
- 58:41Speaker 1: but I do know he trusts Cookakua, he trusts Matt
- 58:46Speaker 1: Stafford and those guys in that moment, and felt like
- 58:49Speaker 1: it's worked to gamble and if anything, my defense will
- 58:52Speaker 1: step up. But I definitely can see Uncle Charlie what
- 58:56Speaker 1: you mean by going for the three points and getting
- 58:59Speaker 1: a little closer. But you wouldn't have taken the lead.
- 59:01Speaker 1: It would have been thirty one thirty uh and Syawk
- 59:04Speaker 1: still would have had that one point lead at that point.
- 59:07Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the sports talk show
- 59:10Speaker 1: right After this, he pushed it for a ride around.
- 59:16Speaker 11: I waited and waited and ran out of patience. They
- 59:19Speaker 11: hated and hated left me flowed down, saying brash.
- 59:22Speaker 1: My wife tea back the.
- 59:24Speaker 11: Lip of sweater God. I brought my first block, broke
- 59:26Speaker 11: it down and tow the block of pog.
- 59:28Speaker 1: I pushed it. I pushed survive on that. Hey, wouldn't
- 59:44Speaker 1: it be.
- 59:47Speaker 4: John Boy?
- 59:47Speaker 13: Wayne Born of the Sports John Show with Wayne Dambia
- 59:50Speaker 13: is coming up next.
- 59:52Speaker 23: Hey, wouldn't it be great if life came with a
- 59:54Speaker 23: remote control? You know, you could hit pause when you
- 59:57Speaker 23: needed to, or hit for one, like that time you
- 1:00:01Speaker 23: knock down that wasp's nest or that time you forgot
- 1:00:06Speaker 23: to roll up your windows in the car wash. Fantastic, Yeah,
- 1:00:11Speaker 23: or remote control would have come in handy then, Well,
- 1:00:13Speaker 23: life doesn't always give you time to change the outcome,
- 1:00:16Speaker 23: but pre diabetes does. With early diagnosis and a few

- 1:01:01Speaker 1: we hold the world bransom for excuse me while I
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: wip this house.
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: Broadcasting live in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: This this is the sports shot ship.
- 1:01:13Speaker 10: Were Wayne Dandy.
- 1:01:16Speaker 18: You I'm a door.
- 1:01:31Speaker 17: Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: Tell me dot com. I'm the sports shot Wayne can.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Good morning at see you out there and listening. We
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: have a two week break before the Super Bowl, Super
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Bowl sixty out in California, San Francisco Levy Stadium. The Seahawks,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Sam Donald Michamcdonalds a head coach and that tremendous defense
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: taking on the believers up in New England. We looked
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: at Mike Rabel and what he had brought back, a
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: piece of the team that he all of a sudden
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: brought back to them just to play football. Coaching hiring
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: so far in twenty six John Harvell to the Giants,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: just mentored to the Ravens. Stop last we took the
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans job Jeff Hatley to the Dolphins, and Mike
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: McCartney mcarthy, excuse me to the Stillers, and Kevin's the
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: fancy to the Falcons. In this situation, a lot of
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: people have comments on the fancy higher in our area
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: here in now lot of my Stiller, faithful questioning the
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Mike McCarthy higher, Guys. I wanted to ask you, guys,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: and I asked, but I have to give it to
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: you to let the weigh in on it. Why are
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: people that are just fans think that they know who
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: teams should hire and not hire.
- 1:03:16Speaker 10: I'll answer like I was, I'll answer, I think a
- 1:03:21Speaker 10: lot of fans think they know who can who can
- 1:03:25Speaker 10: get the most out of this particular team, whatever team.
- 1:03:29Speaker 10: It is a lit offense, like they know who the
- 1:03:32Speaker 10: guy is or you know, and it's normally the guy
- 1:03:36Speaker 10: that they they believe they identify with in a certain way,
- 1:03:41Speaker 10: or they they've seen the the success that that this
- 1:03:44Speaker 10: coach had at this other place, so he can do
- 1:03:47Speaker 10: that here and it and and it's I don't I
- 1:03:52Speaker 10: don't think it's always that simple, Like some uh someone
- 1:03:56Speaker 10: told me that the Steelers hiring Mike McCarthy was a downgrade,
- 1:04:01Speaker 10: like who what would have been an upgrade?
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Like who's that?
- 1:04:04Speaker 10: Who's that coach that's available that you would have considered
- 1:04:07Speaker 10: an upgrade? And they didn't have an answer, And I
- 1:04:11Speaker 10: feel like a lot of fans don't have that answer
- 1:04:14Speaker 10: of Okay, who who would have been?
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: In upgrades?
- 1:04:17Speaker 10: Like there's no no fan, the fans aren't going to
- 1:04:22Speaker 10: be excited about a coaching higher no matter who it is,
- 1:04:25Speaker 10: Like if it because if the teams are going with
- 1:04:27Speaker 10: the guy they think is best for the job, that
- 1:04:30Speaker 10: the the fan excitement is, when's that going to be considered?
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: I don't.
- 1:04:35Speaker 10: I don't really think it is. And sometimes it does
- 1:04:38Speaker 10: fit that coach does like Mike McCarthy. I believe he's
- 1:04:41Speaker 10: from Pittsburgh. He was your offensive coordinator there or was
- 1:04:45Speaker 10: that with the Saints or at some point you like,
- 1:04:48Speaker 10: so you're you're he was.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Yeah, he was for two years with New Orleans.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: I honestly don't think that fans. No, everybody just likes
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: the sounding like an expert. It was clear and to
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: make it personal, it was never more clear to me
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: than when Kevin Stefanski was hired here in Atlanta. You
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: mentioned that in the past, was it six seasons he's
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: been a coach of the year and what how.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: No NFL coach of the Year? Correct?
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: Okay, and Atlanta fans said he was terrible. This is
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: a horrible higher? Who could have done this?
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Why would we do this? Now?
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: People who know football would see that as something that
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: the Falcons can build on. This man, Obviously the entire
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: NFL feels like he knows what he's doing, or at
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: least they felt that way twice in the last six seasons.
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: So how would he be a horrible higher for the
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: Atlanta Falcons. All of the people who do this do
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: this because they know it best. And again, Barbershop me,
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: you came up. You coined that phrase. Most people just
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: like to debate. They don't they don't really want to
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: prove a point. They just want to sound smarter than
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: you when they talk. So I think the only way
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: even the people that do it don't really know all
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: the time. Look at Sam Darnold, this is his season
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: is fifteen. People thought he was done and now he's
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: in the super Bowl.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: So the same way fans go, oh, they didn't hire
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: the right guy. They don't know. It's just it's the
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: weather man theory.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: I'm just going, you know, looking looking at the European model,
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: I think this will happen.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Bad.
- 1:06:52Speaker 9: I think the Pittsburgh situation with the prior three coaches
- 1:06:58Speaker 9: that have been hired and was a more or less
- 1:07:00Speaker 9: a new coach, not a refurbished tire or retread. I
- 1:07:06Speaker 9: think that's what the steel Fans are looking at Mike
- 1:07:08Speaker 9: McCarthy like a retread instead of a huged tire.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: He's not.
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: They come in French like coward, then come in French like.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: Mike Tomlin as someone with just this is their.
- 1:07:21Speaker 9: First coach, he coaching job. We're gonna ride with you
- 1:07:24Speaker 9: and we're gonna see what your culture gonna bring. Mike
- 1:07:26Speaker 9: McCarthy already showed you his coach at Green Bay and
- 1:07:29Speaker 9: that Dallas. It's not Uh, it's suspect.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: So I can.
- 1:07:33Speaker 9: If I was a Steeler fan, I would be upset too.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Well. I coached Mike was my coach. He's a football guy.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: He loves Pittsburgh, uh, and his time as a head coach.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: He's one eighty five and won twenty one of the
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: highest winning percentages of coaches. Actually Mike Tomlin was just
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: a little higher. But uh, he's won just as many
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: games as Mike Tomlin. He actually won a super Bowl.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: Mike Tumblin only won one Super Bowl in his stint.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: Mike is eleven and eleven in the playoffs. He had
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: a better playoff record than Mike Tumblin had as a coach.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: So when those fans or those people who have no
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: idea and that just going off emotions, what's your statistic
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: to say that Mike McCarthy is suspect when all he
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: has been doing is an efficient job at two of
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: the biggest teams in football. And any man that go
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: to Dallas and deal with Jerry Jones definitely can go
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: to Pittsburgh where he is from and be able to
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: manage your team. So I don't get the suspect of
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: anything that people like to talk about. And that's why
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: I ask the question, where are people getting all this
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: information that they get to question? Because I just gave
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: you all positives about a man who now gets to
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: man the ship, who has done a very adequate job.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Now you hold that against Tumblin and coward who I
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: played for of guys that I had no resume to
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: go for, like none. They had never been head coaches, never,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: but you gave them a cans and they never done anything.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: But then Mike McCarthy, who comes in with a super
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: Bowl comes in with a winning spirit, the man who
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: matured and taught Aaron Rodgers all the things that led
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: him to his greatness where he was the coach when
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers got there. So everything Aaron Rodgerson know how
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: to do, Mike McCarthy was part of it. A great
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: quarterback coach. When you talk about Kevin Stefancy, Big Kenny,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: still don't get if I told you command you that
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: I've won two m vps in the last six years,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: would you tell me I was a bad player or
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: a good player?
- 1:10:22Speaker 10: Think you're a good player.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: I would.
- 1:10:23Speaker 10: I would think like he's a good one, the best cheerleader.
- 1:10:30Speaker 10: He said heated.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: In the last six years. Would you get m v
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: P twice?
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: Now to put that in context, that means the most
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: valuable player?
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: So you add everybody together and you're the number one guy. Yeah,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: I would. I would think that was the week for you. Okay,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: So you know how except mister fans ky. I don't
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: know how he in two years Wednesdays Award. But then
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: you think that he is a bad because he he
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: was mean to your door, a good coach, and I
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: still don't get I still don't get that. I'm still
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: waiting on someone to explain to me how I was
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: mean to your door because you you didn't. You didn't
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: set him up to succeed because he was black. And
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: if he hadn't been black, you you would have made
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: it possible for him to succeed. But he was black,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: And how was I supposed to set it up for
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: him to see different than the other two guys that
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: I tried.
- 1:11:49Speaker 10: You should have you should have put him out there first.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: No, the GM told me to play flat pho since
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: they brought flat oh in let my young rookies grow.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: So I went with flac old, and then I went
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: with the guy that was drafted before she do work.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: And then it was to do it turn. So when
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: everybody makes these jokes and like to spin it around
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: all that, I don't understand that in business, if I
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: gave you this, how would you handle He was doing
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: his job. And nobody can tell me that we have
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: a game plan. This guy goes first, and then we'll
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: go with the second guy, and if those two don't
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: work out, we'll go with the third guy. How is
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: how am I wrong for implementing what we had decided
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: to do with this? You're not.
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: And that's what makes the fans unable to clearly assess
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: what's going on. And it's coming from a purely emotional place.
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: Even and this is the thing about sports. You have
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: the statistics in front of you. Anybody could coople that
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: he was the head coach of the year twice in
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: the last six seasons. You see that they have been
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: on the ticker below the screen below the actual imagure
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: watching we see, we hear, we know the statistics, and
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: we'll still react off of emotion and say that Atlanta
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: should have never hired Kevin Stefanski.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: And why should they have hired Raheem moorees oo oo man?
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Or why should they have hired Dan Quinn and turn
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: them to the Super Bowl he had no track record?
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Or Mike Smith, who who revived the franchise when he
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: came in, my eyes said coach, why what did those
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: people have done?
- 1:13:35Speaker 15: They did?
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: None of them have been head coaching? Oh I see
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: and these other teams great did get me? I don't understand,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: and I'll be waiting because I want to hear the
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: other side of the coin. I don't want to hear
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: your emotions. I want you to give me the other
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: evidence that tells me that these people were not qualified
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: for their job. And see, that's that's the thing.
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: Then it's valued in courts of the law, courts the
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: public opinion. Evidence only works against you and your argument.
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: And that's all that sports fans, people call themselves fans
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: of sports want to do is debate.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: The well y'all are talking to. I don't know y'all
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: talking to. But we we've we've we've gotten over it
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: that a lot of fans. We we've moved on.
- 1:14:28Speaker 9: He's who's mister blank haired, He's our coach, and we
- 1:14:32Speaker 9: moved on.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: We're gonna go with it. We're gonna ride with it.
- 1:14:35Speaker 9: So I mean, right now, we talked about Pittsburgh and
- 1:14:38Speaker 9: they just made these last few teams made up. You
- 1:14:40Speaker 9: hired a couple of days. I mean, as far as
- 1:14:42Speaker 9: I'm concerned as a Falcon fan and the other Facuony
- 1:14:45Speaker 9: fans I deal with and talk to them. We're gonna
- 1:14:47Speaker 9: accept this. We're gonna ride with it. I mean, we're
- 1:14:50Speaker 9: gonna go with what we Maybe Matt knows.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Something we don't know, so we're gonna keep you moving.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: So I mean, you heard it right here, quite sure
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Matt knows. I'm quite sure that the loot that though
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: I don't hear the band producer at all. More than
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: a Sports Job show right after it, don't go away.

- 1:17:26Speaker 1: there and listening, laying glad to be here with you.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Coman you, Greg Bad, Producer, Big Kenny, Just for you
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Falcon fans. Before we move on to the birthday. Mike
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: Grayful the last two years in Tennessee, which was his
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: last coaching gig, he did not make the playoffs. He
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: was six and eleven and seven and ten. Uh, he
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: took a year off, he came back and now he
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: is in the super Bowl. So when you keep trying
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: to forecast what people will do, uh, they definitely at
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: any moment can surprise you. Birthdays here coming off the
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: weekend into the week Alicia Keys is forty five years old.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Excuse me, you, guys, Yes, yes, I hear you.
- 1:18:16Speaker 10: I can hear you.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: I can hear you. Okay, can you a little okay? Okay?
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: Who else we have here? Ellen Degenerous is sixty eight.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: Wayne Gretzky sixty five. Guys, Why don't Wane Gretzky get
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: more conversation of the Mount Rushmore athletes on Mount Rushmore? Well,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: you know we always kind of make up our four
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: people that would be on Wayne, is it the great
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: one more?
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: Do you think that it's because his accomplishments chained before
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: we assaulting the one athlete to best all time?
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: I mean, Gretzky has he retired when back.
- 1:19:03Speaker 10: In the nineties, like two thousand, Yeah.
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: Because the contents still haven't been surpassed. But I think
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: because of the sport hockey, it's not one of those
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: big marketing sports where you see these images of those
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: athletes everywhere all the time. They don't have the big
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: product endorsement campaigns. But I think that when we're talking
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: again just flat out statistics, why wouldn't Gretzky be up there?
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: Who would have to come down for him to go up?
- 1:19:45Speaker 10: Yeah, because we're talking in terms of I would say
- 1:19:50Speaker 10: if we're talking in terms of like, Okay, Michael Jordan's babe, Ruth,
- 1:20:01Speaker 10: Tom Brady, Serena Williams, Like, I honestly think it's it's
- 1:20:06Speaker 10: because I think a lot of people who do those
- 1:20:08Speaker 10: Mount Rushmore's maybe don't. Hockey doesn't get a lot of
- 1:20:12Speaker 10: coverage in America. It just it doesn't. If we were
- 1:20:16Speaker 10: if this were Canada, then Gretzky's up there. He's probably
- 1:20:20Speaker 10: the first name that comes up. But I think it's
- 1:20:24Speaker 10: I think it's a matter.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Of if you think of him, if you think of
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: hockey in this country, and you that's really the only
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: name people know. That's how big of a name he has.
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: Yeah, he named someone bigger in hockey than Gretzky in
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: the United States.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: No one. He's been retired for twenty five years.
- 1:20:52Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean Alexevetskin has broken is a couple of
- 1:20:57Speaker 10: his records. I know he broke the goals record, but
- 1:21:00Speaker 10: not a lot of people know Alex Alexevechkin correct, all right,
- 1:21:06Speaker 10: you know some people know Sidney Crosby, but it's like
- 1:21:09Speaker 10: those you gotta be like really in the hockey to know,
- 1:21:11Speaker 10: like even the star players since Wayne Gretzky even you know,
- 1:21:17Speaker 10: uh it's even since he retired or you know that
- 1:21:20Speaker 10: were contemporaries of him. It's you got to know those, uh,
- 1:21:25Speaker 10: those those guys. You know, some people know Carter, like
- 1:21:33Speaker 10: even the star players since Wayne Gretzky even you know, uh,
- 1:21:39Speaker 10: even since he retired or.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: Him. A lot of people know.
- 1:21:47Speaker 10: Okay, now you'll hear me say it the third time.
- 1:21:54Speaker 10: That was the producer.
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: Oh we can hear that, okay, Vince Carter. Vince Carter
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: forty nine, Franklin fifty six, man Ty Tao thirty five?
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: Is that still producer?
- 1:22:18Speaker 10: I mute at him, but it's real, it's d hear me.
- 1:22:22Speaker 10: I can still hear you though, I can still hear.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: You, okay. Fred Taylor is fifty, Rosemond Pipe is forty seven,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: Greg Popovich is seventy seven, Dante Colpepper forty nine, Andre
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: Iglo dollar forty two, Alan Alda for you people that
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: are old like Big Kenny used to be in mask,
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: he's ninety years old, Christiosity work is sixty seven, Meliga
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: Andrews thirty one, Jay Cole forty one, Rick Ross the
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: Big five zero, Rock Kim is fifty eight, and Elijah
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: wood Rodo is forty five years old. The work, the work,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: any work on there, McKinney, wasn't that many names for work?
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: With the weather? The lady, you might have to take
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: a day off, say again, with the weather, you might
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: have to take a day off. No, no, no, that's
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: all right. We're working remote today.
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: We got to always get it in Today's clock in
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: before they get over the age and age out.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: Ellen de Genery sixty six, she's two eight years old,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: is pull. I guess you moved from another country though,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: did you move out?
- 1:23:53Speaker 10: I think she did, But that's all right, I did,
- 1:23:57Speaker 10: so get your ass work.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: Well, well we've got for more than sports job. Show
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: right after it.
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: At the Tom and pal to get bleaked cold feet
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: and Ben and like a fellow found some wood and
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: that gold a voice his voice and plus bellow, I.
- 1:24:11Speaker 7: Got it going on.

- 1:27:30Speaker 25: Don't swept the technique. Don't swept the technique?
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: What jock Show? I'm the sports jock Wayne Gandy of
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: Morning to you out there and listening land over the weekend,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: forty year old alix Hanadah and one story building over
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: in Taiwan. Then if you see this on Netflix mhm,
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: I didn't see it.
- 1:28:14Speaker 26: Mh.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: Some one second, somebody has to replay going. Is there
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: any way we can correct that, Gregg, that the.
- 1:28:29Speaker 10: Echo is on the bad producers in that's why. Okay,
- 1:28:33Speaker 10: now it stopped. Now have some kind of echo of
- 1:28:36Speaker 10: the show coming back. Yeah, it's coming back on his end.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: Is there anything he can do?
- 1:28:48Speaker 7: I mean, we don't want to keep doing this and
- 1:28:49Speaker 7: he'll have to cut the shelf punk there, so that
- 1:29:00Speaker 7: that's what.
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: I can't hear nothing.
- 1:29:03Speaker 9: If y'all hear me, I can't hear nothing. I've been
- 1:29:08Speaker 9: texting to say, I can't hear anything. All right, now
- 1:29:14Speaker 9: we can transformer what Jared was talking about.
- 1:29:18Speaker 10: Now we can hear you, but now you can't hear
- 1:29:20Speaker 10: it here.
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: So let's let's removing for the segment, Greg and then
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: try to get him back on. All right? Is that possible?
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: We have to keep in the head and said, thank
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: you sir, there we go, but it's your still I
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: hear myself.
- 1:30:01Speaker 10: Laughing, I have I have him muted. Uh where it's
- 1:30:07Speaker 10: coming from?
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: Bad and you missed your audio. You're just dumping the show.
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: But that's your that's your normal though. Did he mute it? Yeah?
- 1:30:23Speaker 10: I haven't, I have him muted.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: Yes, I can hear you. I can't Greg starting to
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: get the bad producers. Okay, but the next flick special
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: where guy was finding the building.
- 1:30:47Speaker 10: If you watch this, I had not seen it.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: Okay, is it anything you would be interesting in seeing?
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: He did it without a rope?
- 1:30:57Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: Of course? Job. When I saw the adverse, for the first.
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: Thing I thought is I come from the era where
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: I remember even the evil and the Snake River Canyon.
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: I remember Charles will Lendon and those life stunts go
- 1:31:11Speaker 3: too well, and the memories of those moments we carry
- 1:31:16Speaker 3: with us throughout our lives that I just didn't you know,
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: I could hear about this and up to date on
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: it without seeing it in real time.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: Netflix said they had a ten second delay just in
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: case something tragic happened. So whatever you were watching, I
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: had a chance to check it out. There was a
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: ten second delay built in, uh, in case of tragedy,
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: which is kind of cheapens it a little bit in your.
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: Mind right now.
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: I mean you want me to look like but then
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: you're going to lay it so you can clean it up.
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, if I'm paying to see it, or
- 1:31:58Speaker 3: if I'm tuning in, that's part of why I'm tuning in.
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: If something bad happens.
- 1:32:04Speaker 10: Some people want to see it.
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: That was my mindset too. Yeah, so we give me
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: It's not regularly, but that was Yeah, So that was
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: the whole thing outside of him talking about the pay.
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: He didn't get a lot of money. But I don't
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: think that Netflix, as McKinney alluded to, with this kind
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: of thing, they probably felt that they were taking a gamble,
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: right Like, you know, we don't know the market for
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: this right now. You know it used to be a
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: struggle market, but we don't know about the evil conevo
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: kind of David Blaine. I guess it's the closest with
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: that kind of stuff that he does. And even he
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: didn't for the level of.
- 1:32:48Speaker 3: Trauma if something went wrong, like David Blaine, something goes
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: wrong and it's him most of his magic trick, this stunts.
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: I didn't know if he was doing it right or not.
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: But someone falling off of a building is far more
- 1:33:09Speaker 3: graphic and I imagine traumatic. So but but again that's
- 1:33:14Speaker 3: why I tuned in. I didn't really tune in to
- 1:33:16Speaker 3: see him do it without it, without it, without something
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: going wrong.
- 1:33:21Speaker 26: I want.
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: You think they were tuning in hop Yeah, I mean no,
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: no one.
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: No one tries to see you jump from the ground
- 1:33:34Speaker 3: over a speeding car, thinking, man, I hope this guy
- 1:33:37Speaker 3: jumps over the car. They're thinking, if this car hits him,
- 1:33:40Speaker 3: he's gonna flip fifty times. And so that's the part
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: I'm hoping to kind of see but maybe not see.
- 1:33:46Speaker 3: But if it happens, I'm gonna watch it. God agree,
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: It's not something that you're necessarily into.
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: No, I mean that.
- 1:34:00Speaker 10: Uh I didn't. I saw pictures. I didn't know it
- 1:34:03Speaker 10: was the same uh stunt. I didn't even know it was.
- 1:34:06Speaker 10: It was on Netflix. But it People do tune in
- 1:34:10Speaker 10: to see if if something like that happens, and and
- 1:34:16Speaker 10: some well, you know, I think most people are are
- 1:34:19Speaker 10: looking to see if if the guy does it, But
- 1:34:23Speaker 10: just the spectacle of it is is I think that's
- 1:34:25Speaker 10: enough to bring people in. But they're definitely like that
- 1:34:30Speaker 10: that contingent is out there that people want to like, Oh,
- 1:34:33Speaker 10: I think he's going to fall, and then you know
- 1:34:35Speaker 10: they start betting money on it, on Calshi or something.
- 1:34:38Speaker 10: So uh but both ways, I think people tune in
- 1:34:43Speaker 10: for for either one.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: Could you could you bet on him falling?
- 1:34:48Speaker 10: They're there somewhere somewhere you could bet on that. If
- 1:34:52Speaker 10: it's not Calshi, it's a it's an official Caesar sportsbook somewhere.
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: I'm saying, and I just crowned. But if you will
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: watch it, you'll bet on it.
- 1:35:08Speaker 6: Uh.
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: We forgot to give a bit congratulations to the Indiana
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: Huers who the Hoosers won last week the national title
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: college football. It took them seventeen games, but they finished
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: off the season and won a national title. That's a
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: lot of long. That's the long football season undefeated. Though.
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: Down in Miami, people try to speculate about Michael Irving
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: and his drug use because I don't know what might
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: be on or not. That enthusiasm for football has always
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: been there for Michael Irving. I do know that, So
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: don't just jump on any kind of bandwagon trying to,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: you know, slander a man that has always shown in
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: football that he loves it. And to me, as I said,
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: he is the originator of the whole idea of the youth.
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: That's when it started back in his days about what
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: they were gonna do, the showtime kind of idea and spirit.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: Matt Patus can hear us. I guess teaching not congratulations
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: to Indiana came out of nowhere when the national title
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: of this season, which seems like it was two seasons ago,
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: because that's how long the season goes now for college athletes.
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: And the young man Greg that you talked about Alabama
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: who got drafted for the Spurs. They're gonna let him
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: come back?
- 1:37:00Speaker 10: Is that he's already played. He played a game this
- 1:37:05Speaker 10: past Saturday. He had he had been on a G
- 1:37:10Speaker 10: League roster actually the week before. He was playing in
- 1:37:13Speaker 10: the G League I think for the Pistons G League team.
- 1:37:17Speaker 10: So yeah, he would through I think it was through it.
- 1:37:23Speaker 10: Uh Bettiaco all be uh yes, yes, that's the player Alabama.
- 1:37:34Speaker 10: Alabama feels like with adding him they can win the
- 1:37:38Speaker 10: whole thing. So how does that work though he just
- 1:37:41Speaker 10: comes back that give him the money?
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: Is that just how is my dream basically coming true?
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: They're just gonna let guys play.
- 1:37:51Speaker 10: Little little by little, it's coming true. Uh you know
- 1:37:55Speaker 10: if you've been uh, I think there was also a
- 1:37:59Speaker 10: player from the that came back to Tennessee that was
- 1:38:04Speaker 10: in the G League. So and then they're the Tennessee's
- 1:38:08Speaker 10: social media team said they they hit up the Delaware
- 1:38:13Speaker 10: sixty six ers, which is the Philadelphia seventy six ers affiliate,
- 1:38:18Speaker 10: is like, you're next. So they're going to try to
- 1:38:20Speaker 10: get one of their players to come back to come
- 1:38:23Speaker 10: back to college. So and it's coming through because of
- 1:38:27Speaker 10: like a player, they're getting court injunctions. So the so
- 1:38:35Speaker 10: the player can go to the court in the state
- 1:38:38Speaker 10: of where his school is, get an injunction and they
- 1:38:42Speaker 10: can play and the court date will be pushed out
- 1:38:46Speaker 10: till pass the season. So actually, so when the season
- 1:38:51Speaker 10: is over and then they had the court, it won't
- 1:38:54Speaker 10: really matter. So it's not even they have to get
- 1:38:56Speaker 10: the injunction or the restraining order. They just have to
- 1:39:01Speaker 10: get it, get the case on the docket, get the injection,
- 1:39:05Speaker 10: and now they can play and they'll solve it.
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: In the sud it's like the one done basketball player.
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: They don't go to class because by the time you
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: go get around to suspending me I'll be on left.
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: You think about it, I mean rolled, but you won't
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: be able to suspend me the next year, and and
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: and I won't.
- 1:39:33Speaker 3: Obviously they're able to pull it off. But nobody's going
- 1:39:36Speaker 3: to jail for this. Nobody's in trouble in the future
- 1:39:45Speaker 3: where university officials will be on trial for some sort
- 1:39:50Speaker 3: of collusion or uh tampering or something that just doesn't
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: seem like something that we should be.
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: Rushing headlong.
- 1:40:00Speaker 10: True, they're going through the pro they're exploiting. They're like
- 1:40:04Speaker 10: we talked about last week, they're exploiting these the loophole.
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: It's a loophole.
- 1:40:12Speaker 10: And if they're like yeah, and then you could sue
- 1:40:17Speaker 10: to get the eligibility when you really don't have it,
- 1:40:20Speaker 10: but you can sue for it, and then if it
- 1:40:22Speaker 10: gets on the docket, they can go back and play.
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: And we'll be back. We're more of a sports talk show.
- 1:40:31Speaker 21: Right after this, some of my partner was serving up
- 1:40:34Speaker 21: on the corner of the project assembly me.
- 1:40:36Speaker 4: I was starting to imvy want to be on the top.
- 1:40:38Speaker 4: Where's plintcy when a being a start like where every

- 1:42:51Speaker 1: I'm Canadian downhill here. Ryan Wedding was apprehended. Over the
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: last couple of days. We have been talking about Ryan
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: Wedding and him being on the run for a long time.
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: Reports word that he was down in Mexico hiding hunder
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: one of the cartels, Big Kenny.
- 1:43:24Speaker 19: You know.
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: Did the hotels give up Ryn?
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: They said he turned himself in and it was probably
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: one of those Hey man, you're making the block out.
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: These people keep looking for you.
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: They already took forty million dollars worth of motorcycles, they
- 1:43:39Speaker 3: took a fifteen million dollar card.
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: They're not gonna stop and you're making it hard for
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: us to do business.
- 1:43:46Speaker 26: Do your time, That's what I thank you. You hear me, Okay,
- 1:44:03Speaker 26: I can hear I can hear you now, I can
- 1:44:05Speaker 26: hear me.
- 1:44:05Speaker 10: Now, I can hear you. I yeah, I read that
- 1:44:13Speaker 10: he had turned himself in the The Feds have been
- 1:44:18Speaker 10: seizing a lot of his stuff. There were a lot
- 1:44:20Speaker 10: of a lot of bikes there were there was a
- 1:44:23Speaker 10: very rare car in which I think only six of
- 1:44:26Speaker 10: them were in the world. So maybe it seemed like
- 1:44:32Speaker 10: it was things like that that the walls were closing
- 1:44:35Speaker 10: in if they're like, okay, now we're able to get
- 1:44:37Speaker 10: to your stuff, and then you know, eventually he turns
- 1:44:41Speaker 10: himself in.
- 1:44:42Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:44:43Speaker 10: And after being on the run I guess for ten years,
- 1:44:48Speaker 10: like he had been in Mexico this entire.
- 1:44:49Speaker 1: Time, well, facing life imprisonment. They put him up there
- 1:44:59Speaker 1: in the in the elk Papo, which is uh sounds
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: like thirty five years just for.
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: Being Yeah, that was the motorcycles. You you don't do
- 1:45:13Speaker 3: all your time. I'm guessing that years now. I don't
- 1:45:27Speaker 3: think Brad Duster.
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: Is back on with us. Greg Is the replay coming
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: from him? Because that's it.
- 1:45:36Speaker 10: It is somehow it's echoing back on his end, but
- 1:45:39Speaker 10: he's not hearing us at all, and there's no way
- 1:45:48Speaker 10: to paint that out. I don't it's it's some setting that.
- 1:45:55Speaker 1: On his end. Can't change it.
- 1:45:57Speaker 10: You guys hear me, though, Yeah, I can hear you.
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: Hear me? Okay? Uh. Issues up in Minnesota caused a
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: lot of trouble a couple of NBA games, the second
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: shooting by the Ice agents.
- 1:46:17Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: In this situation the basketball world, the NBA canceled the
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: game with the Pacers. Tyrese Halliburton went out in protest,
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: the point guard for the Pacers. A lot of people
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: weigh in on this situation, I mean, based on how
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: much you follow it. Always with these stories, though, I
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: guess my consciousness is always one of those things where
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: why don't we approach all shootings the same? In non country?
- 1:46:53Speaker 10: Why don't we Why don't we approach the shootings the same?
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: Why doesn't any shooting carry the same? Is it just
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: a political thing?
- 1:47:08Speaker 3: I honestly believe that it's unfair and unfortunate that are
- 1:47:16Speaker 3: willing to use for medical leverage and equity. Uh, Like you,
- 1:47:26Speaker 3: I believe that regardless of the circumstances. All deadly shootings
- 1:47:32Speaker 3: end with a loss of life, and when you're searching
- 1:47:37Speaker 3: for your leverage, it's easy to just try and choose
- 1:47:40Speaker 3: your side without thinking about the humanity of the situation.
- 1:47:45Speaker 3: This is a person who came from some people who
- 1:47:50Speaker 3: mint something to these people, and now that person is
- 1:47:54Speaker 3: not with us anymore, and we're.
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: Weighing and leveraging the lefts and rights of it.
- 1:48:03Speaker 3: And I think that it's unfortunate that this person is
- 1:48:07Speaker 3: even in describing who this person is, people pick and
- 1:48:12Speaker 3: choose what they like to share in an effort to
- 1:48:15Speaker 3: further their agenda with the information.
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a tough situation. We've seen this. I mean,
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: it happens every year where we point out one particular
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: situation and everybody likes to sing their teeth in. And
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: I just say, at the beginning, sometimes the loss of life,
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: uh seems like it would out weigh and get everybody
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: to try to find uh, you know, like this moment.
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: After this moment, however, we go with this planning, we
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: will trying to find me and going forward. But it
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: seems to turn out that way. It still becomes my
- 1:48:59Speaker 1: side yourself kind of idea and never is we find
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: a situation that we can avoid these tragic moments, but
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: we never let to me, We never let the weight
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: of what happens outweighed now what we want, right.
- 1:49:23Speaker 3: To the point where now they're asserting that the government
- 1:49:27Speaker 3: officials who are in charge of all of this are
- 1:49:31Speaker 3: flat out the word they use this morning on the
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: news was lying to us about what happened and why
- 1:49:38Speaker 3: it happened. And I'm saying, you're that much into your
- 1:49:42Speaker 3: standards and into your position you're willing to be untruthful
- 1:49:47Speaker 3: about it.
- 1:49:48Speaker 1: And again you would have to make it personal.
- 1:49:55Speaker 3: Someone being taken from you so tragically is traumatic in
- 1:49:59Speaker 3: itself without having injustice heat on it. So I mourned
- 1:50:08Speaker 3: for society as a whole when we have lost sight
- 1:50:13Speaker 3: of the fact that a life is more important than
- 1:50:16Speaker 3: any of this stuff.
- 1:50:18Speaker 1: All right, and we'll be back and more sports job
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: though other.
- 1:50:23Speaker 4: One and then I'll make another one. This down, I'm
- 1:50:25Speaker 4: sit the acts that the brother's done. I did a
- 1:50:28Speaker 4: craving like a thing for nickotine. But I don't need
- 1:50:30Speaker 4: a cigarette, know what I mean?
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: What I mean, don't go away.
- 1:50:42Speaker 13: More of The Sports Josh Show with Wayne Gandia is
- 1:50:45Speaker 13: coming up next.
- 1:50:47Speaker 6: Nobody had to tell your grandparents not to drive all
- 1:50:50Speaker 6: using their typewriters. Why should it be any different for
- 1:50:54Speaker 6: us kids and our cell phones. Distracted driving was the
- 1:50:57Speaker 6: cause of more than three thousand deaths in twenty twenty two.
- 1:51:01Speaker 6: Come on, we're smarter than this. Let's put down the
- 1:51:04Speaker 6: phones and focus on the roads. Drive safe, everybody.
- 1:51:09Speaker 14: Don't drive distracted. A message brought to you by the
- 1:51:11Speaker 14: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Project yellow Light and the
- 1:51:15Speaker 14: AD Council.
- 1:51:18Speaker 15: When I smoke weed, I get lost in the music.
- 1:51:21Speaker 15: I'd like to isolate each instrument, the rhythmic bage, the
- 1:51:25Speaker 15: harmonies on the piano, and sticky melody.
- 1:51:31Speaker 8: Say he careful bad there's someone crossing the street.
- 1:51:35Speaker 15: Sorry, I didn't see them there.
- 1:51:38Speaker 17: If you feel different, you drive different. Don't drive high.
- 1:51:41Speaker 17: It's dangerous and illegal everywhere. A message from NITZA and
- 1:51:45Speaker 17: the AD Council.
- 1:51:48Speaker 4: And now back to the sports John A Wayne Gandy,
- 1:51:54Speaker 4: Now it's.
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: Time for a school board.
- 1:51:57Speaker 22: When we put a spin on Light and spool and
- 1:52:00Speaker 22: how they intermingled on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Dandy.
- 1:52:26Speaker 4: First day's first recipe, Sucker.
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: Phil Walking back to the Boys Doc Show, Wayne Dane
- 1:52:35Speaker 1: Chicago Bull Deck Rose is number one up in to
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: the top of the building retiring his number as a Bull.
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: Are you guys the prize? Uh no?
- 1:52:51Speaker 10: Uh I it kind of. I started thinking like, if
- 1:52:57Speaker 10: Derrick Rose wasn't from Chicago with the bull be doing this,
- 1:53:03Speaker 10: it's possible. But I think because of the him being
- 1:53:07Speaker 10: the hometown kid and being nearly as popular as Jordan's
- 1:53:17Speaker 10: some people think even more so that this was going
- 1:53:20Speaker 10: to happen. So no surprise that they retired his number.
- 1:53:27Speaker 3: Unpleasantly, Yeah, I'm pleasantly surprised that they did it as
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: soon as early as they did.
- 1:53:36Speaker 1: He wasn't some elder statesman.
- 1:53:39Speaker 3: That one of the current Bulls had to help out
- 1:53:43Speaker 3: onto the court in an effort to receive his flowers.
- 1:53:49Speaker 1: I thought that because of the lot of a lot
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: of the.
- 1:53:55Speaker 3: The social agitation surrounding his name, with his ex wife
- 1:53:59Speaker 3: and some of his challenges with being in the public eye,
- 1:54:04Speaker 3: people may try and be petty and hold those things
- 1:54:07Speaker 3: against them, But this seems like this was a Chicago
- 1:54:10Speaker 3: Bulls internal organization decision. And when we talk about again
- 1:54:17Speaker 3: looking at what's in front of you and believing what
- 1:54:20Speaker 3: you are seeing I know, you know, we're taught believe
- 1:54:24Speaker 3: none of what you gear in, only half of what
- 1:54:26Speaker 3: you see. But if what you're seeing is right in
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: front of you and your view is unobstructed, how do
- 1:54:32Speaker 3: you not believe that? Derek Rowse, he is one of
- 1:54:36Speaker 3: the greatest players ever to come through the city, if
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: not through the sport so well deserved kudos to Chicago
- 1:54:45Speaker 3: for doing what Chicago thought was best.
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: They didn't weigh in and vote on it. You know,
- 1:54:51Speaker 1: a bunch of people who had no dog in the fight.
- 1:54:55Speaker 1: They did what was best for the organization and their players.
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: Off to me, like you said, Big Kenny, just for
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: a body of work, not talent. And we see a lot,
- 1:55:10Speaker 1: especially in the NBA, guys like Derrick Rose for three
- 1:55:14Speaker 1: years where you can easily say what's the best player?
- 1:55:18Speaker 1: But how long? May how long do you have to
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: be the best player to achieve this kind of accomplishment
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: in a lot of people's minds, right, right, do you
- 1:55:31Speaker 1: have to be thirty years or yeah, can it be
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: three thirty? Who do have to do it for a
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: long time? And we've seen different guys my boy with
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: the Broncos, the Great Guests, Slayer from way back in
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: the day. Just there's been different guys, but it willcome guys.
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: So you know, you figure, so Trey can be hung
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: up in Atlanta, right, they can retire trades number? Correct? No,
- 1:56:05Speaker 1: why why not? Now?
- 1:56:07Speaker 15: Now?
- 1:56:12Speaker 10: I don't I don't know, I don't know. Uh there there.
- 1:56:18Speaker 10: You would think there would be some guys ahead of
- 1:56:20Speaker 10: him that that they should retire, like would Joe Johnson's
- 1:56:24Speaker 10: number be retired or Ol Horford's.
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: Point don't doesn't dere Rose thing kind of opened that
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: door to where you know, now other people have to
- 1:56:37Speaker 1: be considered.
- 1:56:40Speaker 10: For for the Bulls.
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: J the conversation at least has to be had now, right, Yeah,
- 1:56:49Speaker 1: Because to me, it's always those moments of who you
- 1:56:52Speaker 1: bring in that opens the door for other people.
- 1:56:58Speaker 8: You know.
- 1:56:59Speaker 1: I always like Tombo opened the door for Ben Wallace,
- 1:57:07Speaker 1: so being needed. Now you're putting this guy inn what
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: about me? You know, Terrell Davis to me opened the
- 1:57:15Speaker 1: door for Patrick.
- 1:57:17Speaker 10: Bullha's wellay, I understand what you mean. I think with
- 1:57:25Speaker 10: Jersey retirements, I guess it might be like team by
- 1:57:28Speaker 10: team because I know, like last year we talked about
- 1:57:31Speaker 10: with Miami, the Miami Heat retiring Edannis Hasm's number, even
- 1:57:36Speaker 10: though he made no All Star teams, he had no
- 1:57:42Speaker 10: All defensive teams. I think he's their all time leading rebounder.
- 1:57:47Speaker 10: He was on all three of their championship teams. He
- 1:57:49Speaker 10: meant something to them. So I see that with the
- 1:57:55Speaker 10: with Derek Rose, he means a lot to that city
- 1:57:58Speaker 10: and that organization. And while then it wasn't a lot
- 1:58:02Speaker 10: of accomplishment because of injuries, he still meant a lot
- 1:58:06Speaker 10: to them. I don't know if that opens things up
- 1:58:09Speaker 10: for other players for other teams. I think it's a
- 1:58:11Speaker 10: team by team thing about how much that team appreciates
- 1:58:16Speaker 10: that particular player, because numbers will be the ye you
- 1:58:31Speaker 10: were saying, Kenny, I can I can hear you still?
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry?
- 1:58:39Speaker 10: Oh you were going to say something, Kenny. I thought
- 1:58:41Speaker 10: you were going to say something.
- 1:58:44Speaker 1: Now I was given the floor up to the bad producer.
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: Can you hear him?
- 1:58:50Speaker 10: Not?
- 1:58:50Speaker 28: What I was saying was as what book sports Jack
- 1:58:52Speaker 28: was saying was that you got teams that Derrick Rose
- 1:58:56Speaker 28: may have, that have players that have did more and
- 1:58:59Speaker 28: much more than Derrick Rose with the collegiately and the
- 1:59:03Speaker 28: pro since the Hall of Fame, and it's based on
- 1:59:07Speaker 28: your collegiate and your most of your pro accolades. But
- 1:59:12Speaker 28: I don't think it's I think it really is going
- 1:59:14Speaker 28: to open up the door even more.
- 1:59:16Speaker 19: Uh.
- 1:59:17Speaker 28: I heard sports Jack saying for years Ben ben Wallace
- 1:59:20Speaker 28: needs one person to get in, even though he deserves it,
- 1:59:24Speaker 28: but he needs one suspect person to make everybody else say, hey,
- 1:59:29Speaker 28: well this person.
- 1:59:29Speaker 1: Should get in. So I do think that that that
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: that has opened up a.
- 1:59:33Speaker 29: Lot of doors for situations for other teams to just
- 1:59:38Speaker 29: And it started with even with Miami with half of
- 1:59:41Speaker 29: them for him, for them to put him, retire.
- 1:59:44Speaker 28: His jersey and do that, not saying that he wasn't loyal.
- 1:59:48Speaker 28: They could have gave him a front office job all
- 1:59:50Speaker 28: those years.
- 1:59:51Speaker 3: Well, that's what I'm saying about the courage of Chicago.
- 1:59:54Speaker 3: Derrick Rose meant something to them, and they honored that.
- 1:59:59Speaker 3: They didn't wait for someone to co sign or someone
- 2:00:04Speaker 3: to uh back them up on it. They did what
- 2:00:07Speaker 3: they thought. They didn't wait for the guy who was
- 2:00:10Speaker 3: complaining about what about me?
- 2:00:12Speaker 1: Yet? Sure, maybe you do deserve an accolade, but it
- 2:00:14Speaker 1: won't come.
- 2:00:15Speaker 12: Now.
- 2:00:15Speaker 1: This is Derek's moment and they gave him that, and
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: I think deservedly so right, it's just it's just a
- 2:00:22Speaker 1: question for you know, it's something we'll always talk about.
- 2:00:26Speaker 1: I just think certain guys, and I'll llue you myself
- 2:00:31Speaker 1: for an example, just to be you take Tony Boselli
- 2:00:35Speaker 1: from the Jag the Hall of Fame, right, he only
- 2:00:39Speaker 1: played He only played ninety games. I played two hundred
- 2:00:45Speaker 1: and twenty. So how does that work? Nah? He said
- 2:00:53Speaker 1: to me. There, I've always thought, I give you an example,
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: like where does how do you scale the whole process?
- 2:01:01Speaker 1: And I just think certain. I feel like Thomas Phillips
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: opened the door, or like Joe Johnson, because what are
- 2:01:08Speaker 1: you gonna held Joe?
- 2:01:14Speaker 28: Okay, he's a gray star, He's like Trace.
- 2:01:20Speaker 1: For Grady is like a Derrick Rose. It was the
- 2:01:23Speaker 1: best thing. But how long does it have to be
- 2:01:25Speaker 1: the best thing? That's the big Yes, how long does
- 2:01:33Speaker 1: it have to be the best thing? So Deck rose
- 2:01:38Speaker 1: up in it, and I believe that Chicago did because
- 2:01:40Speaker 1: body at work. I have no no problem with him
- 2:01:43Speaker 1: putting Deck rose up in the But it does open
- 2:01:48Speaker 1: the door for somebody coming. Now you know what you know,
- 2:01:54Speaker 1: if if they're not up there already, Chicago has up there. Okay, guys,
- 2:02:00Speaker 1: to come in and have something to say. So, but
- 2:02:05Speaker 1: Super Bowl sixty is upon us. Can't wait for the game.
- 2:02:10Speaker 1: We get to know a lot of new players. As
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: I said, I know about three players on both teams,
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: just being honest that I you know, outside watching the
- 2:02:20Speaker 1: last night, I don't know a lot of names like
- 2:02:22Speaker 1: that for either team. But it should be interesting two
- 2:02:28Speaker 1: weeks to get to know some of these guys. And
- 2:02:30Speaker 1: congratulations to the Patriots and the Seahawks. All an ocean.
- 2:02:40Speaker 22: The truth is he will throw your in the ocean.
- 2:02:44Speaker 22: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Junk
- 2:02:47Speaker 22: Show with Wayne Candy.
- 2:03:12Speaker 1: To Ben Black and thank you for tuning in to today.
- 2:03:14Speaker 1: Should we'd like to apologize and to interview out there
- 2:03:16Speaker 1: with technical difficulties. Uh, we try something new and I
- 2:03:20Speaker 1: think we were successful. Big Kicky man, you read bad producer.
- 2:03:24Speaker 1: Thank you for your contributions today. Going in the ocean
- 2:03:28Speaker 1: is Bill Hill. I know I've already thrown her in
- 2:03:31Speaker 1: the ocean, but I'm basically throwing her in the ocean
- 2:03:33Speaker 1: again for the same thing. You are very talented. I
- 2:03:37Speaker 1: enjoy listening to your insight, but she becoming so jaded
- 2:03:41Speaker 1: every report you never put out has something to do
- 2:03:44Speaker 1: with racism, learn to do something else. Jameel Hill going
- 2:03:50Speaker 1: on records to claim that the Fanky is not black
- 2:03:56Speaker 1: enough for Anna basically, well, the two the super Bowl,
- 2:04:03Speaker 1: they have white coaches, Dan Reeves, and you know Dan,
- 2:04:09Speaker 1: I don't understand why can't a white coach find success
- 2:04:14Speaker 1: in Atlanta when they already have. But it's more just
- 2:04:17Speaker 1: that I think talented people like a Jamel Hill, you
- 2:04:21Speaker 1: get so jaded that people won't listen because they expect
- 2:04:24Speaker 1: whatever you're gonna say, it's always going to come from
- 2:04:27Speaker 1: that side of the table. And it's just be refreshing
- 2:04:30Speaker 1: before you use all your talents and people be able
- 2:04:34Speaker 1: to absorb what you can do and not instantly see
- 2:04:39Speaker 1: your name and know what kind of article it's going
- 2:04:42Speaker 1: to be. And for that, Jamail Hill.
- 2:04:47Speaker 4: Walk the plank.
- 2:05:00Speaker 3: Hey, isn't that stance We kept black quarterbacks oute of
- 2:05:04Speaker 3: the NFL for.
- 2:05:05Speaker 1: A minute, like you ain't you ain't white enough to
- 2:05:08Speaker 1: be a quarterback? Ain't what she's doing?
- 2:05:11Speaker 30: Hey see, I'm glad you throw it in the ocean
- 2:05:14Speaker 30: because she even did. That's another article she wrote besides
- 2:05:19Speaker 30: this one before that. So I mean, I don't agree
- 2:05:22Speaker 30: with a lot of things she said.
- 2:05:25Speaker 1: Another I agree or now I just want to show
- 2:05:27Speaker 1: another side because she is very talented. I like what
- 2:05:30Speaker 1: she had to say, but it's okay to be something
- 2:05:33Speaker 1: different too. But guys, we did it. We got through.
- 2:05:39Speaker 1: I can't wait to hear from our ready fans about
- 2:05:42Speaker 1: how we didn't do this. Yes, that but a good
- 2:05:45Speaker 1: first time from the Sports Job crew from the Sports
- 2:05:48Speaker 1: Job Show.
- 2:05:49Speaker 26: Uh we have you.
- 2:05:50Speaker 1: Hope you have a warm afternoon, regardless of where you are.
- 2:05:55Speaker 4: Big must be the Girl.
- 2:06:04Speaker 16: A song or song
