Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Hawk Talk with former Seahawks wide receiver
- 0:05Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus at the ten yard line. Second and eight
- 0:08Speaker 1: free wide receivers. Now in motion is Bumpas left to right,
- 0:11Speaker 1: Julius Jones the single setback Matt pump fakes looking at
- 0:14Speaker 1: the goal line. He throws it into the end zone.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Touchdown Seahawks. It's Michael Bumpus with a diving catch in
- 0:21Speaker 1: the end zone. Our ten yard touchdown reception for puppas,
- 0:25Speaker 1: and the kid out of Washington State has found himself
- 0:28Speaker 1: a place on this team. Powered by Seahawks dot Com.
- 0:33Speaker 1: If you understand a Obamanus goes in motion right to left,
- 0:36Speaker 1: turning the hand to Lynch left side, finds a little
- 0:38Speaker 1: bit of a whole teacher's legs movie. He's caught the
- 0:40Speaker 1: forty midfield forty five. He is on the run. Lynch
- 0:43Speaker 1: forty washes him at thirty five. Look at him go,
- 0:46Speaker 1: he's down to twenty fifteen. He could go, it's gonna
- 0:50Speaker 1: go touchdown Seahawks. Oh my word, a sixty seven yard
- 0:58Speaker 1: run Marshawn Lynch. Unbelievable. He must have knocked five guys
- 1:07Speaker 1: down on the way to the end zone. The beast
- 1:09Speaker 1: is aligning. Well. Oh my god, I've seen a lot
- 1:15Speaker 1: of great runs by this football team. I've seen Sean
- 1:17Speaker 1: Alexander makes some unbelievable runs. I've seen Kurt Warner makes
- 1:22Speaker 1: some unbelievable runs that run right there in the situation.
- 1:26Speaker 1: And how many minute he took out by himself. Unbelievable
- 1:30Speaker 1: by Marshawn Lynch. What some folks, you heard it? That
- 1:34Speaker 1: is the return of beast Modo. That was Beastmos one
- 1:37Speaker 1: of his greatest runs. He's back in the Northwest. This
- 1:39Speaker 1: is Hawk Tark Preview edition, Week seventeen. The Hawks take
- 1:43Speaker 1: on the Niners. But the story of the week mister
- 1:46Speaker 1: twenty four beast Mo. He's back back in town. What
- 1:50Speaker 1: is he gonna do for this team? Oh? I mean, honestly,
- 1:52Speaker 1: just just from I mean, I never thought in my
- 1:54Speaker 1: wildest dreams we would ever see twenty four wearing Marshall
- 1:58Speaker 1: Lynch wearing that twenty four jersey again, coming out of
- 2:00Speaker 1: a tonne of the century in field for a big
- 2:02Speaker 1: game against the forty nine ers. Felt like you wake
- 2:04Speaker 1: up out of a dream from twenty thirteen or something
- 2:06Speaker 1: like that. At the very least, I don't know what
- 2:08Speaker 1: he's gonna do on in the field, but he's gonna
- 2:10Speaker 1: He's given this city, this town, this team an emotional
- 2:14Speaker 1: lift because I'm not gonna lie to you. It was
- 2:15Speaker 1: it felt like doomsday. After Sunday, we lost a bunch
- 2:18Speaker 1: of guys. We didn't play well. Now we're worried. Now
- 2:20Speaker 1: we got the Niners coming in town. And by signing
- 2:23Speaker 1: Marshawn Lynch, at the very least, he gave this whole
- 2:25Speaker 1: city emotional boost. Hey, give him hope. That's a culture move.
- 2:28Speaker 1: This is a Hey, we lose a Rashad Penny, we
- 2:31Speaker 1: lose pro Site, we lose Carson, who's an expect thing,
- 2:34Speaker 1: who is gonna come in here and ignite a fighting
- 2:36Speaker 1: for this organization Number twenty four. It is, so what
- 2:40Speaker 1: can we expect out of this guy? I was I
- 2:42Speaker 1: was talking to a buddy the other day and I say, look,
- 2:45Speaker 1: five carries forty yards and anything above that is great.
- 2:49Speaker 1: It's either he's gonna come out and look like he
- 2:52Speaker 1: needs a game to get going, or he's gonna come
- 2:54Speaker 1: out in the legend of Marshawn Lynch is just gonna
- 2:56Speaker 1: grow because he'll go out and rush for a hundred
- 2:58Speaker 1: yards What are your expectations for this guy? Honestly, anything
- 3:01Speaker 1: anything he gets. I think what you said, five carries
- 3:03Speaker 1: forty yards is a great thing. I mean, it's not
- 3:05Speaker 1: like he's gonna come in and all of a sudden
- 3:07Speaker 1: get twenty five carries and expect to see Marshall run
- 3:10Speaker 1: for one hundred and fifty yards and x amount of touchdowns.
- 3:12Speaker 1: What I personally want to see, I want to see
- 3:13Speaker 1: a big third down run. Yeah, I want to see him.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I wanted to be a third in goal situation and
- 3:19Speaker 1: Marshawn Lynz watching you because we know who he is.
- 3:22Speaker 1: And I don't care what kind of shape you think
- 3:24Speaker 1: or whatever he's been in, because I know he's been training.
- 3:26Speaker 1: But you're in a short yard situation. I have all
- 3:29Speaker 1: the face turning and handed number twenty four because we've
- 3:31Speaker 1: seen that for years. So I'm just I just want
- 3:32Speaker 1: to big. I want a short yards game. I want
- 3:34Speaker 1: I want one run where he runs over a couple
- 3:36Speaker 1: of guys and just gets the place going, you know,
- 3:38Speaker 1: get down on the goal line, hand it off to
- 3:39Speaker 1: twenty four, and let the twelves take care of the rest.
- 3:42Speaker 1: But the Hawks also signed Turban, another familiar face. What
- 3:45Speaker 1: do you think he has left in the team. Well,
- 3:47Speaker 1: Turbo Man. First of all, Turbo he always had those
- 3:49Speaker 1: big arms, you know what I'm saying. Every time you
- 3:50Speaker 1: looked at him, Turbo looked amazing coming off the bus
- 3:53Speaker 1: set and he was great for us. He was a
- 3:54Speaker 1: great change up for the Marshawn Lynz during the glory
- 3:56Speaker 1: days of the initial run with the Seahawks. He played
- 4:00Speaker 1: in Indianapolis the last couple of years in a backup
- 4:02Speaker 1: type of role. But hey, he's been staying in shape
- 4:05Speaker 1: and it's the same deal. The great thing about both
- 4:07Speaker 1: these guys is a culture thing. Turbo's one of Russell
- 4:09Speaker 1: Wilson's really good friends. There are roommates through his time here.
- 4:14Speaker 1: So you love to see it because these guys get
- 4:16Speaker 1: it instead of getting someone else who doesn't understand this culture.
- 4:18Speaker 1: They played with Bobby and kJ and Pete and Russ
- 4:21Speaker 1: and Luke. You get the culture. The systems different, but
- 4:25Speaker 1: it's similar enough, you know what I'm saying. So honestly,
- 4:28Speaker 1: anything they got I just think. I just think the
- 4:30Speaker 1: fact that what they can bring from a culture standpoint,
- 4:32Speaker 1: and anything they give us on Sunday is gonna be great.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Anything they can give us and don't forget he's still
- 4:36Speaker 1: got the youngster Travis Homer back there. Who I feel
- 4:38Speaker 1: like we'll get more carries this game. What it lets do.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Last year in six games he had ninety carries for
- 4:42Speaker 1: three hundred seventy six yards and three touchdowns. Against the
- 4:45Speaker 1: Hawks in London, he had thirteen carries for forty five yards.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Now turb him just played in two games last week.
- 4:51Speaker 1: For the last year. For the Cults, the most important
- 4:54Speaker 1: thing these guys are healthy and they understand what this
- 4:56Speaker 1: team wants to do. So let's get the rollos. So
- 4:58Speaker 1: now we're gonna get into the injury up I'm anassed
- 5:00Speaker 1: over to the NASS. Yeah, so, coach, it's injury updates
- 5:03Speaker 1: a little more positive than it has then I thought
- 5:06Speaker 1: it would be coming in. Obviously, we know we lost
- 5:07Speaker 1: Carson for the year. We know we lost Protis for
- 5:10Speaker 1: the year. We know Dwayne Brown had surgery on Monday,
- 5:12Speaker 1: no setbacks, no surprises, he got to necessary cleanup in
- 5:15Speaker 1: his knee. Everything went as they thought it would go.
- 5:18Speaker 1: So hopefully, if the Seahawks are fortunate keep playing, Dwayne
- 5:20Speaker 1: Brown can come back in the playoffs. Now, the guys
- 5:23Speaker 1: that we were really concerned about Jadeveon Clown and he's
- 5:26Speaker 1: still recovering from that core injury. He has not played
- 5:29Speaker 1: since the Rams game on December eighth. Coach he did
- 5:32Speaker 1: practice on Tuesday, and Coach was very optimistic when he talked.
- 5:36Speaker 1: He said, Hey, he's gonna do everything he can to play,
- 5:38Speaker 1: So it's the most optimistic he's talked about Clowning the
- 5:41Speaker 1: last couple weeks, which is a a good signed. Chakill Griffin
- 5:43Speaker 1: is in the same boat. He practiced on Tuesday. He's
- 5:46Speaker 1: another guy that was close. These guys were close last week,
- 5:49Speaker 1: and if we can get those guys back, it's gonna
- 5:51Speaker 1: be great for us. Obviously defensively knowing the team coming
- 5:53Speaker 1: in and then Mike you Potty had that little stinger
- 5:56Speaker 1: against the Cardinals, but he was back practicing on Tuesday,
- 5:59Speaker 1: So those are good things. But those are good notes
- 6:01Speaker 1: for the Seahawks. So I feel kind of good about
- 6:02Speaker 1: the injury situation. Quadriy Diggs. He might be more of
- 6:04Speaker 1: a long shot. They're gonna take that up the game time,
- 6:06Speaker 1: so we'll have to wait and see. There. The most
- 6:08Speaker 1: important thing, we got a couple of guys who are
- 6:10Speaker 1: getting healthy and hopefully that works out for is you
- 6:12Speaker 1: know you need Clowney. The last time you kindly played
- 6:14Speaker 1: against the forty nine ers, probably wasn't his best game.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Maybe in his career, yeah, correct, maybe his carid And
- 6:19Speaker 1: then Shaquille Griffin, he's just been holding it down. Nothing
- 6:22Speaker 1: too flashy, that's too grade, doesn't have a lot of picks,
- 6:24Speaker 1: but he's been holding down one side of the field.
- 6:27Speaker 1: You always need a vetom like Dwayne Brown. If you
- 6:29Speaker 1: can get him, then Mikey Potty glad it was just
- 6:31Speaker 1: a stinger. Let's get him back in the lineup. So
- 6:33Speaker 1: now we're gonna talk about the playoff Pitcher Division leaders
- 6:36Speaker 1: right now, and then NFC you got the Niners, Packers, Saints,
- 6:39Speaker 1: and then the Eagles who still have a chance to
- 6:42Speaker 1: lose that thing if they lose the game in Dallas wins.
- 6:44Speaker 1: But to get a further look into it, going back
- 6:46Speaker 1: to the Guru himself, mister Nash Cholby, what's his playoff
- 6:49Speaker 1: pitcherre looking like? Yeah, So I'll get to the Seahawks
- 6:51Speaker 1: in him second. But the main things for the nfcees
- 6:55Speaker 1: Dallas is gonna needs to win. Like you said, I
- 6:57Speaker 1: need Philadelphia to lose to clinch the division. The Packers
- 7:01Speaker 1: already clinch the division. They can clinch a first round
- 7:03Speaker 1: by with a win the Saints and Clarence a first
- 7:06Speaker 1: round by with a win and a green Bay loss.
- 7:09Speaker 1: But here's the thing. All that is what it is.
- 7:11Speaker 1: There's a lot of other teams and I'll get to that.
- 7:12Speaker 1: But what does it mean for the Seahawks. Okay, it's
- 7:15Speaker 1: really simple. Seahawks eleven and four facing the forty nine
- 7:18Speaker 1: ers in primetime this week. Here's the deal. You win
- 7:20Speaker 1: the division. All you gotta do is beat the Niners.
- 7:23Speaker 1: You beat the Niners this week, you win the division,
- 7:25Speaker 1: and at the very least you're at least a three seed. Okay,
- 7:28Speaker 1: if you're getting greedy for the Seahawks clinton first round by,
- 7:31Speaker 1: they need to win and green Bay needs to lose
- 7:33Speaker 1: to Detroit. Not likely, but weird things have happened. That's
- 7:36Speaker 1: why they play the games. And then one seed, unbelievably
- 7:39Speaker 1: is still on the table. Seahawks clinch home field avantaged
- 7:42Speaker 1: throughout the NFC playoffs with a win, a green Bay
- 7:44Speaker 1: loss and a New Orleans Also realistically, right now, the Seahawks,
- 7:47Speaker 1: no matter what, they have to take care of business
- 7:48Speaker 1: they take care of basiness, will be the three seed
- 7:50Speaker 1: and they will play wild card weekend against the Minnesota Vikings,
- 7:53Speaker 1: who are locked into the sixth seed. Anything else is
- 7:56Speaker 1: a bonus. I'm not even gonna speak into existence what
- 7:59Speaker 1: happens if the Sea are not victorious, but that would
- 8:01Speaker 1: require a trip to Dallas or Philadelphia. But like I said,
- 8:05Speaker 1: and win, baby, just win, just whin, take care of
- 8:07Speaker 1: your business, and you know what, they'll pretty much know
- 8:10Speaker 1: what's gonna happen by the end of that day. They're
- 8:12Speaker 1: the Suday Night Football by the time it kicks off,
- 8:14Speaker 1: where you know exactly where, what happens with the win,
- 8:16Speaker 1: what happens with the loss, exactly Alright, Seahawks, you heard it.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Just win, baby, win. Let's go over to the key matchups.
- 8:22Speaker 1: The first matchup, you gotta go look at the San
- 8:24Speaker 1: Francisco quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo versus Everybody twenty eighteen. He threw
- 8:30Speaker 1: three hundred and eleven times three hundred excuse me, three
- 8:33Speaker 1: thousand and six hundred yards, twenty seven touchdowns and thirteen picks.
- 8:36Speaker 1: In the first game against Seattle. He was twenty four
- 8:38Speaker 1: to forty six two forty eight one touchdown one, intercession
- 8:42Speaker 1: sacked five times, key stat sacked five times. You have
- 8:46Speaker 1: to get pressure on this guy. Now. The more we
- 8:48Speaker 1: get into the season, the more I respect Jimmy Garoppolo.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I still don't think he's a pro bowler. I don't
- 8:53Speaker 1: think he's a superstar, but I think that he's okay
- 8:57Speaker 1: with who he is. He's okay with his role in
- 8:59Speaker 1: this offense right now. He's okay with Dincon and Duggan,
- 9:02Speaker 1: especially when you got weapons around him who were getting
- 9:04Speaker 1: a bunch of yards. After the Cats, well, he showed it.
- 9:07Speaker 1: So he's had a couple of shaking games, but in
- 9:09Speaker 1: a big game against the Saints in New Orleans, he
- 9:11Speaker 1: showed he went for over four hundred four touchdowns. So
- 9:14Speaker 1: he was balling out there the other thing and looking
- 9:17Speaker 1: at some of the next gen stats, he Russell Wilson
- 9:19Speaker 1: and Jimmy g are very different. So Garoppolo throws deep
- 9:22Speaker 1: only six point four percent of the time, that's the
- 9:24Speaker 1: lowest in the NFL, with three yards of separation from receivers,
- 9:27Speaker 1: the most in the NFL. Wilson, on the other hand,
- 9:29Speaker 1: he's sixteen percent Almo with seventy percent of his attempts
- 9:32Speaker 1: are deep balls highest in the NFL, so they're very different.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I think the key to Jimmy is you need the
- 9:38Speaker 1: impressure on him and you need, as Palmy always says,
- 9:40Speaker 1: you need to try to get him to throw outside
- 9:42Speaker 1: the numbers, outside the numbers. And then now I'm interested
- 9:44Speaker 1: to see if Shaquill Griffin is not able to play,
- 9:46Speaker 1: do they take the same approach they did last time
- 9:48Speaker 1: with them. They were pressing them, they were taking away
- 9:50Speaker 1: the inside. Ranted, they have good receivers too. They didn't
- 9:53Speaker 1: make some plays, but they made it a little tougher
- 9:55Speaker 1: on him. So if Shaquill Griffins is not able to go,
- 9:58Speaker 1: I wonder what Kid Norton, Pete Carroll are gonna do
- 10:00Speaker 1: with those corners. Well, yeah, before we can get that,
- 10:03Speaker 1: I mean the Kam King has played well, but yeah,
- 10:04Speaker 1: it's gonna be. That was the first game I people
- 10:05Speaker 1: remember where they were kind of aggressive defensively, especially in
- 10:08Speaker 1: the secondary. They weren't letting on a bunch of passes
- 10:09Speaker 1: complete underneath. But I sat, I love look at twenty
- 10:12Speaker 1: four or forty six. You want him to have to
- 10:14Speaker 1: throw forty six times? Yes, So if you're making him
- 10:17Speaker 1: throw forty six times, I just increase your number in
- 10:18Speaker 1: five sacks. You're room the ball game sacking that guy
- 10:21Speaker 1: five times, yes, sir. The next matchup, George Kildle versus
- 10:24Speaker 1: the Seahawks secondary. This is the best tight end in
- 10:27Speaker 1: the game. Guys. He did not play against Seattle in
- 10:29Speaker 1: the first matchup, so that leaves me a little skeptical
- 10:31Speaker 1: at the forty nine Ers receivers. He has seventy eight
- 10:34Speaker 1: receptions for nine hundred and six to seven yards and
- 10:36Speaker 1: five touchdowns. I saw a next gen stat that scared
- 10:39Speaker 1: the heck oudemy. The Seahawks are the worst football team
- 10:42Speaker 1: in the league against the tight end. Yeah, and it
- 10:44Speaker 1: doesn't kick the Cardinals, but yeah, the tight ends have
- 10:47Speaker 1: gotten loosen and Titans have gotten loose. So I want
- 10:49Speaker 1: to see the adjustment that they make. Last time the
- 10:51Speaker 1: Hawks played the forty nine Ers, Kittle wasn't available. So
- 10:54Speaker 1: what do you do do? Put macdougual over him, whom
- 10:56Speaker 1: in twenty eighteen was the best player against the tight
- 10:59Speaker 1: end in that tight they match up. So maybe the
- 11:02Speaker 1: veteran pulls out some magic for one game and locks
- 11:05Speaker 1: this guy up. Yeah, man, George Kittle is a beast,
- 11:08Speaker 1: and if you don't remember if you need to reintroduction,
- 11:11Speaker 1: if you don't believe me, miss is this man. Fourth down,
- 11:15Speaker 1: They've got to get to the thirty five yard line.
- 11:17Speaker 1: They're on their thirty three garopodo gun two by two
- 11:21Speaker 1: born Emmanuel Sanders left, Kittle backs up. Kittle's coming in motion.
- 11:25Speaker 1: The rookie Garter Johnson following three left, Richie James Junior right,
- 11:30Speaker 1: garopoo back. He throws out left, caught George Kittle down
- 11:33Speaker 1: the sideline. Forty brunch by a man stiff arms a
- 11:36Speaker 1: man still pushing it out. Flag three flags come in.
- 11:40Speaker 1: They may get George for a personal file on the
- 11:43Speaker 1: stiff arm. Let's see where it all ends. Right now,
- 11:46Speaker 1: the forty nine ers are about the same thirty yard line.
- 11:48Speaker 1: George Kittle went crazy on the play, caught it, ran
- 11:52Speaker 1: down the sideline. Did he stiff arm or did they
- 11:55Speaker 1: stiff arm back? Marcus william grab his face mask base
- 11:59Speaker 1: that's gonna be a pen. I mean that run rule.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I was watching that game because I believe that was
- 12:05Speaker 1: the day before we play the Rams earlier in that day,
- 12:08Speaker 1: and he literally fourth into game on the line, he's
- 12:11Speaker 1: running down the sideline. There's I believe every member of
- 12:14Speaker 1: the Saints secondary on his back, grabbing his face. Man,
- 12:16Speaker 1: he's throwing guys all around kittles a beef. We know,
- 12:19Speaker 1: we know who we're getting. He is Jimmy Garoppolo's favorite target.
- 12:23Speaker 1: He's a safety blanket. So I mean, other than stopping
- 12:27Speaker 1: getting pressure on Jimmy g and make him through outside
- 12:30Speaker 1: the numbers, you gotta stop this guy. You gotta stop
- 12:31Speaker 1: him and you have to tackle this man. Yeah, his
- 12:34Speaker 1: run after the catchers was really impressive. He has hands,
- 12:36Speaker 1: he can catch the football, he can block. But it's
- 12:39Speaker 1: fun to watch, at least not this weekend won't be.
- 12:41Speaker 1: But it's fun to watch a big man that tied
- 12:43Speaker 1: in with the ball in his hand and make it
- 12:45Speaker 1: moves away that he does. So, yeah, you're right, gotta
- 12:48Speaker 1: put hands on this guy and make it difficult for him.
- 12:49Speaker 1: How do you make a difficult for him? You walk
- 12:51Speaker 1: up on the line of scrimmage and you make him
- 12:53Speaker 1: play small ball. Small ball means that now he has
- 12:55Speaker 1: to get and make a move off the line. You're
- 12:56Speaker 1: not gonna give him a free release and let him
- 12:58Speaker 1: get loose. Gotta watch out for mister George Kidler. The
- 13:01Speaker 1: next match of forty Niners offense versus Seahawks run defense
- 13:06Speaker 1: forty nards coming to the game with the league's number
- 13:08Speaker 1: two rushing offense rushing for one hundred forty five yards
- 13:12Speaker 1: per game. And they don't just do it with one guy.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I swear I've seen about four or five guys touched
- 13:16Speaker 1: the ball in that back. So they got a group
- 13:18Speaker 1: of guys who can get it done. They've only been
- 13:19Speaker 1: held to under a hundred yards rushing four times this season,
- 13:22Speaker 1: and guess what the Hawks held them to under one
- 13:25Speaker 1: hundred yards week ten with eighty seven yards. It really
- 13:28Speaker 1: sounds like we got to duplicate a lot of the
- 13:29Speaker 1: stuff that we did the last time we played, absolutely
- 13:32Speaker 1: and like you said, you mentioned we held in eighty
- 13:33Speaker 1: seven yards. That's actually the second lowest they had all seasons.
- 13:37Speaker 1: So that was that was one of the biggest things
- 13:39Speaker 1: in the first matchup was not only we get pressure
- 13:40Speaker 1: on Droppo, we compounded that by by stopping the run
- 13:44Speaker 1: and making him throw forty six times. So, I mean,
- 13:46Speaker 1: you have Mozart as seven hundred fifteen yards six touchdowns,
- 13:49Speaker 1: Breida has six hundred and seven yards four touchdowns. They're nice,
- 13:52Speaker 1: and then they have the fullback Hoothstack, who kind of
- 13:55Speaker 1: is the heart and soul of that run game. He's
- 13:56Speaker 1: they'll put him a line him up at tight end
- 13:58Speaker 1: and'll have him in the backfield going everywhere. So you
- 14:00Speaker 1: need to be physical, and you need to do your job,
- 14:02Speaker 1: especially with the linebackers, and most importantly, you need to
- 14:05Speaker 1: tackle better. Tackle last week, Yeah, we did not tackle
- 14:08Speaker 1: well last week. Next matchup, we're gonna flip it. Seahawks
- 14:11Speaker 1: run game versus forty nine Ers defense. Now, we talked
- 14:14Speaker 1: about the forty nine Ers having the second best run game. Guests,
- 14:17Speaker 1: who has the third The Seattle Seahawks. They average one
- 14:19Speaker 1: hundred and thirty seven yards per game. And I think
- 14:22Speaker 1: this week, with the loss of Chris Carson, the loss
- 14:24Speaker 1: of pro Size, the loss of Penny, it's on this
- 14:27Speaker 1: old line. This old line has to give these running
- 14:30Speaker 1: backs just a couple lanes early to get them going
- 14:32Speaker 1: and get them believing, especially if you start the younger
- 14:34Speaker 1: and Travis Homer, we know that he's fast, he will
- 14:37Speaker 1: hit the whole He's got to slow it down a
- 14:39Speaker 1: little bit, find the gaps and go. And then you
- 14:41Speaker 1: mix in a little marshawn, a little turban, and you
- 14:43Speaker 1: see what happens there. Yeah, they don't need crazy numbers.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I mean between Homer, Lynch, Turban, whoever gets the ball.
- 14:48Speaker 1: They just need to be effective. I don't need one
- 14:50Speaker 1: hundred and fifty I don't need two hundred and fifty yards.
- 14:52Speaker 1: They especially early on in the game, because we can't.
- 14:55Speaker 1: You can't get to a point where now you're throwing
- 14:57Speaker 1: the ball every time and you're letting the forty nine
- 14:59Speaker 1: ers offend the line, you know, just get ready and
- 15:01Speaker 1: rush the passer. So they need we need everything from
- 15:04Speaker 1: those guys, So we need we need this effectiveness early
- 15:07Speaker 1: on so we can go to those play action passes
- 15:09Speaker 1: and do what Russell Wilson does best. And that kind
- 15:10Speaker 1: of feeds into the next matchup. Like you said, the
- 15:12Speaker 1: old line forty nine front seven up. Old line versus
- 15:15Speaker 1: the forty nine is front seven to Seahous online, call
- 15:17Speaker 1: him coming off a tough performance versus Cardinals, Russell Wilson
- 15:21Speaker 1: was sacked five times. Russell has been sacked forty seven
- 15:24Speaker 1: times this year. That can't happen this week. That's what
- 15:27Speaker 1: Nick Bolsa wants to do. That's what Armstead wants to do.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Um d Ford is out. That's the whole mo of
- 15:34Speaker 1: this defense is to get after the quarterback in a hurry,
- 15:37Speaker 1: and they've done a great job of doing that. So
- 15:39Speaker 1: will the Seahawks make some adjustments on the line. We'll
- 15:42Speaker 1: wait and see, or do they stick with their guys
- 15:44Speaker 1: and say, you know what, it's gold time. We're gonna
- 15:47Speaker 1: rely on the guys who've gotten this here, and we're
- 15:48Speaker 1: just gonna try to get a push early in the
- 15:50Speaker 1: game and just give these guys a chance. He got
- 15:52Speaker 1: three running backs who can get it done him. If
- 15:54Speaker 1: if we can get forty yards from this guy, thirty
- 15:56Speaker 1: yards from that guy, fourty yards from that guy, I
- 15:58Speaker 1: think that's a great day. He's gotta spread the love. Man.
- 16:00Speaker 1: And like you mentioned the forty nine ers, so we've
- 16:03Speaker 1: the Seahawks will allowed forty seven sacks. Forty nine ers
- 16:05Speaker 1: have gotten forty seven sacks, so they and they're one
- 16:07Speaker 1: of the tops in the league, so you know they
- 16:09Speaker 1: can bring pressure we need to give. We need to
- 16:11Speaker 1: get Russell a chance. We need to give Russell a chance.
- 16:14Speaker 1: And when he snaps the ball, his eyes aren't coming down.
- 16:16Speaker 1: He can continue to stay downfield, and we gotta get
- 16:18Speaker 1: a running backs to chance. So it's If we're gonna
- 16:20Speaker 1: win this game, it's gonna be a big performance from
- 16:22Speaker 1: everybody up front, whoever's lined up playing. But I have
- 16:26Speaker 1: faith in our coaching staff, Mike Slari Shottenheimer, Pete Carroll.
- 16:29Speaker 1: They're gonna have a game plan, just like the first time.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Everyone's doubting the Seahawkster and like they're not stopping anyone.
- 16:34Speaker 1: How are they gonna beat the forty nine ers. They're
- 16:36Speaker 1: gonna have a game plan. They're gonna have something to
- 16:37Speaker 1: get ready for this game most definitely, and I'm gonna
- 16:39Speaker 1: call it. Russell is gonna have two players that just
- 16:41Speaker 1: make you say wow. Two plays Little Russell Magic out
- 16:44Speaker 1: there right the path to victory. You must pressure Jimmy
- 16:47Speaker 1: g sacked him five times the first matchup. Let's just
- 16:50Speaker 1: do that again, easy said right, easy money, Get out
- 16:54Speaker 1: for the guy, Get after the guy, established the run.
- 16:56Speaker 1: You got Homer back there, you got Lanche, got Turban.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Let all all of them eat, Give all of them touches.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Do you give them all equal touches? Or would you
- 17:04Speaker 1: go with the rookie since he's been here a little longer,
- 17:06Speaker 1: you feel it out. I wouldn't. I would assume that
- 17:09Speaker 1: that homework gets a lot of the carries early on,
- 17:11Speaker 1: and then they kind of use Lynch and Turbanne in
- 17:13Speaker 1: those third down situations because the other thing is those
- 17:15Speaker 1: other turban and Lynch are great in path bro, Yeah,
- 17:18Speaker 1: they're bigger bodies, are gonna come after guys. So I
- 17:20Speaker 1: think people are gonna spread the love. But then also,
- 17:22Speaker 1: you know how you're a coach, you know it goes
- 17:23Speaker 1: then once the game gets going and you start feeling
- 17:25Speaker 1: guys out, and you know the plan might only be
- 17:27Speaker 1: give Marshawn Fork carries, but hey, let me imagine what
- 17:31Speaker 1: if he's eating. Yeah, maybe that turns into twelve fifteen.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Who knows? Who knows? That's that's why you play the games.
- 17:36Speaker 1: I'm inciting. Must protect Russell Wilson. We talked about it earlier.
- 17:40Speaker 1: He's been sacked forty seven times. Nyers have had forty
- 17:42Speaker 1: seven sacks. Let's just flip those numbers, man, Let's be
- 17:45Speaker 1: super successful. Let's have the best game the Hawks and
- 17:48Speaker 1: fad this year. Protecting Russell Wilson and let's get something
- 17:51Speaker 1: that Russell Wilson magic. I'm eliminate the big plays and tackles.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Sehawson is way too many tackles. They're about three or
- 17:57Speaker 1: four games where I can remember them missing a lot
- 17:58Speaker 1: of tackles and they lost those games. So you must
- 18:01Speaker 1: wrap up, especially against these guys with a debo with
- 18:03Speaker 1: Emmanuel Sanders, with Kiddle, with all these weapons, and we
- 18:07Speaker 1: know what Jimmy likes to do. He's wont to throw
- 18:09Speaker 1: five six starts down the field and let them run.
- 18:11Speaker 1: With that being said, you must wrap these guys. Got
- 18:13Speaker 1: the tackle, you can't. That was the That was the
- 18:15Speaker 1: disappointing melasty Is Drake. It felt like every time he
- 18:18Speaker 1: was hit he got three or four yards. After that,
- 18:20Speaker 1: No react this week, guys get hit. They gotta stay
- 18:22Speaker 1: here and go down the next and final key to victory, Twelves,
- 18:27Speaker 1: We need you to show up. We need you loud.
- 18:30Speaker 1: It's a five o'clock game. Get there at twelve, Get
- 18:33Speaker 1: there early, your pre game going early. Let these forty
- 18:37Speaker 1: nine ers roll up to the statement, No, you're in
- 18:39Speaker 1: for a dog five and they got and we have
- 18:41Speaker 1: the twelfth Man. With that being said, I'm looking forward
- 18:44Speaker 1: to this. It's been real. Your host, Michael Bumpus, along
- 18:46Speaker 1: with my guy, the producer, Nasa Choby. We'll see you
- 18:49Speaker 1: next time. It is lament
