- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:02Epstein Chronicles. There were a lot of people on the
- 0:06Epstein stage, and it's hard to keep track of everybody,
- 0:09and for people who are just getting involved in the story,
- 0:12who have just started to follow along with what's going on,
- 0:15there's a lot of new faces and a lot of
- 0:17new names that you have to get familiar with. So
- 0:20what we're going to start doing here on the podcast
- 0:23is having a introduction type of series to people that
- 0:27were critical to what Jeffrey Epstein had going on. And
- 0:31in this episode, we're going to talk about the Dubins.
- 0:34Glenn Dubin didn't just brush up against Jeffrey Epstein in
- 0:38some random hedge fun handshake years before Epstein's crimes were
- 0:41republic He stood by him long after the world knew
- 0:45exactly what he was. In two thousand and nine, after
- 0:49Epstein had been convicted of soliciting sex from a minor,
- 0:52the Dubin still invited them into their home for Thanksgiving dinner.
- 0:56And that was an explicit, knowing choice to bring us
- 0:59set offender into the family holiday for dinner with your
- 1:03children present. The defense from the Dubin camp that they
- 1:06were one hundred percent comfortable having Epstein around their kids
- 1:09reads like something torn from a bad satire about Manhattan
- 1:13high society, where status trump's safety, but the reality is
- 1:17far darker. It's telling the world that a convicted predator's
- 1:21friendship mattered more than the untold damage that he did
- 1:25to the women and the girls that he abused. Financially,
- 1:28Dubin's ties to Epstein went deeper than cocktails in charity gallas.
- 1:32They invested together, They move money in and out of
- 1:35the same ventures. Epstein even used a foundation structure to
- 1:39funnel donations into Eva Anderson Dubin's breast cancer charity without
- 1:43attaching his name, a sleight of hand that led Epstein
- 1:47by social capital without the stink of his reputation sticking
- 1:50to it. Dubin didn't slam the door on that arrangement.
- 1:54He held it wide open even after Epstein's release. Dubin
- 1:58continued association gave Epstein something that he couldn't buy outright legitimacy.
- 2:04When a billionaire hedge fund manager still treats you like
- 2:07a valued friend, others take that as permission to do
- 2:10the same. Dubin's acceptance wasn't just personal loyalty. It was
- 2:14a reputational life rap for Epstein in the circles where money, influence,
- 2:19and silence are the currency. And when Virginia Roberts name
- 2:24Glenn Dubin among the men Epstein trafficked or two, Dubin
- 2:27issued the standard denial, but the allegations didn't vanish. It
- 2:31reappeared in court filings, unsealed testimony, and in alternative media
- 2:35again and again. Even if Dubin never faces a criminal charge,
- 2:40the persistence of his name and sworn statements is its
- 2:43own indictment, not legal, but certainly moral. Then there's the
- 2:48footnote about Epstein wanting to marry Dubin's own daughter, Selena,
- 2:52a claim back by reports that Epstein named her a
- 2:54beneficiary of his trust. Whether Epstein's intent was real or
- 2:58a manipulative power play, the fact that he felt comfortable
- 3:02enough to float such an idea speaks volumes about how
- 3:05entangled he was with the Dubin family. By the time
- 3:08the US virgin Islands a poena Duben for Epstein related documents,
- 3:12the picture was clear. This wasn't a casual pre scandal acquaintance.
- 3:17The Dubins were part of Epstein's in her network well
- 3:19after his first arrest. When law enforcement shows up at
- 3:23your door in a trafficking probe, it's not because you
- 3:26were in the wrong place once. It's because your proximity
- 3:29was sustained visible and suspicious. In the rarefied air of
- 3:34Wall Street, where power protects power, Dubin's downfall was never
- 3:38going to be a purp walk. Instead, it was a
- 3:41quiet exit from his fund in twenty twenty. The slow
- 3:44retreat from the public boards, the air brushing of connections
- 3:48in official bios, and what he'd want you to think
- 3:51is accountability is nothing more than a page from the
- 3:54damage control playbook for the ultral wealthy, where the scandal ismanaged,
- 3:58not resolved. The Dubin Epstein relationship is a case study
- 4:03and how predators survive. They don't do it alone. They
- 4:06do it because people with money and influence keep lending
- 4:09them credibility. Glen Dubin could have been a cautionary example
- 4:13in two thousand and eight, the guy who cut all
- 4:15ties and warned others. Instead, he became one more example
- 4:19of how elite loyalty to fellow insiders outweighs any duty
- 4:23to the vulnerable. All the denials all the carefully awarded statements,
- 4:27all the quiet charity board resignations, can erase the simple truth.
- 4:32When Epstein needed legitimacy after prison, Glen Dubin gave it
- 4:35to him. The few defenders that Dubin has like to
- 4:38fall back on the tired refrain that no charges wherever filed,
- 4:42as though the absence of prosecution is proof of innocence.
- 4:45In the rarefied world that Glen Dubin moves in the
- 4:48absence of prosecution often just means legal laws are too high,
- 4:52the rolodex too powerful, and the financial resources too deep
- 4:56for a case to ever see the inside of a
- 4:58court room. The twenty twenty four unsealing of more Epstein
- 5:02related core documents shredded whatever scraps of plausible deniability remained.
- 5:07Once again, Dubin's name surfaced alongside allegations, meetings, and interactions
- 5:12that no one with the shred of common sense would
- 5:15ever defend. We're not talking about random mentions. They're part
- 5:19of the long pattern in sworn statements, which is why
- 5:22as PR machine has been an overdrive for years trying
- 5:25to blur, minimize, or dismiss the record. Epstein didn't keep
- 5:29people like Lan Dubin in his orbit because they were disposable.
- 5:33He kept them because they were useful, useful for introductions,
- 5:37for access, for a shared veneer of elite respectability that
- 5:41allowed them to move in the same rooms as politicians, billionaires,
- 5:45and royalty. Even after becoming a convicted sex offender. Dubin
- 5:50played his part in that ecosystem, and pretending otherwise is
- 5:54revisionist history. Even the optics of the Dubin household Thanksgiving
- 5:59with Epstein in two thousand and nine are damning. We're
- 6:03not talking about some public charity event where one could
- 6:06plausibly claim ignorance of who might attend. That was their home,
- 6:09their table, their children. Every single person at the table
- 6:14knew exactly who Epstein was. By then inviting them wasn't
- 6:18a social courtesy, It was a deliberate, knowing embrace. The
- 6:21trust issue literally and figuratively runs deep. Epstein naming Selina
- 6:26Dubin as a beneficiary is either one of the sickest
- 6:30manipulations in his arsenal, or a reflection of a level
- 6:33of closeness that defies any excuse. Either way, it underscores
- 6:38how grotesquely entangled the predator was with the family, and
- 6:42how utterly blind, reckless, or wilfully indifferent they were to
- 6:46the risk. Dubin's Wall Street profile meant his ongoing acceptance
- 6:50of Epstein was noticed. It wasn't just a family matter.
- 6:54It was a signal to other high flyers that Epstein
- 6:56was still safe to do business with, a social class
- 7:00where the wrong association can sinc reputations overnight. Dubin's continued
- 7:04warmth towards Epstein wasn't just enabling, it was advertising. And
- 7:10look when law enforcement in the US Virgin Islands began
- 7:13issuing subpoenas for Epstein's associates, Dubin wasn't on the list
- 7:17by accident. The investigators saw the same pattern. Anyone paying
- 7:21attention could see a high powered couple whose continued relationship
- 7:25with Epstein extended years past the point of moral or
- 7:29reputational cover. The hedge fund world is filled with men
- 7:32who treat ethics as an optional accessory, but even by
- 7:35those standards, the Duben Epstein link is calling. This wasn't
- 7:39a misjudged deal or a one time meeting. It was
- 7:42a years long post conviction relationship that kept giving Epstein
- 7:46the social oxygen he needed to operate. When the fallout
- 7:50finally forced the Dubins to retreat from public life and
- 7:53step away from the fund, it wasn't some act of conscience.
- 7:57It was a tactical withdrawal, one meant to preserve as
- 8:00much of his wealth, standing, and insulation as possible while
- 8:04waiting for the public's outrage to move on to another scandal.
- 8:08The facts are brutally simple. After Epstein's crimes were known,
- 8:12Glen Dubin could have chosen distance, condemnation, and accountability. Instead,
- 8:17he chose proximity, acceptance, and silence. That choice didn't just
- 8:22protect Epstein, it helped keep the machinery of his abuse
- 8:25running long after any decent person would have slammed the
- 8:29door shut. But the most damning thing for Glenn Dubin
- 8:32are the allegations made against some by Virginia Roberts. And
- 8:36Virginia never mince words when it comes to naming the
- 8:38powerful men. She says Jeffrey Epstein trafficked or two and
- 8:42Glenn Dubin's name is among them. In sworn testimony in
- 8:46public statements, Roberts has alleged that she was directed to
- 8:49have sex with Duben while still a teenager in Epstein's orbit.
- 8:54These aren't off hand mentions. There are direct, specific accusations
- 8:57made under oath, woven into a consistent narrative that she
- 9:01repeated for years. According to Roberts, Epstein and Maxwell arranged
- 9:06for her to be with Dubin as part of the
- 9:08wider network of sexual exploitation that targeted young women and girls.
- 9:14She described a pattern in which Epstein loaned out victims
- 9:17to his wealthy, well connected friends as both the means
- 9:20of rewarding allies and binding them into silence. In that framework,
- 9:25Dubin is alleged to have been one of the recipients
- 9:28of these coursed encounters. And what makes the Dubin allegations
- 9:32especially explosive is the timing. Robert's claim placed her abuse
- 9:36by the Dubins during the very period when Epstein's trafficking
- 9:39machine was operating at full tilt, with Maxwell allegedly orchestrating
- 9:44much of the logistics. This wasn't some hazy recollection decades
- 9:48after the fact. These are anchored to specific periods in
- 9:51her life that have been corroborated by other pieces of
- 9:55Epstein's timeline. Dubin has issued flat denials, branding Robert its
- 10:00allegations is false and defamatory, but the denial alone doesn't
- 10:04erase the fact that his name surfaces repeatedly in connection
- 10:08with Epstein's sex trafficking operation. It's not a cameo, it's
- 10:12a recurring presence in depositions, core filings, media summaries of
- 10:17unsealed documents, and survivors and investigators don't keep mentioning the
- 10:21same people by accident. While Glenn Dubin has not been
- 10:25charged with any crime, Robert's accusations carry enough weight to
- 10:29have been included in unsealed testimony that was scrutinized by attorneys, journalists,
- 10:34and law enforcement alike. In cases like this, absence of
- 10:38indictment is not proof of innocence. It's often a sign
- 10:41of how formidable the legal and political walls are around
- 10:45the accused. Robert's account also fits into a broader pattern
- 10:50that she laid out regarding Epstein's in her circle, a
- 10:53pattern in which Maxwell and Epstein targeted powerful men specifically
- 10:58because they could provide protection, access, and influence. In this
- 11:02alleged model, the abuse itself wasn't just predation. It was transactional,
- 11:07a currency of control. Naming Dubin places them in the
- 11:11alleged transaction chain. Adding to the discomfort is the fact
- 11:15that the Dubin family's relationship with Epstein didn't end after
- 11:19these alleged events. If anything, they grew closer in the
- 11:22years after, maintaining the kind of visible friendship that undermines
- 11:26every I had no idea defense. If the allegations are false,
- 11:31their choice to stand by Epstein post conviction is baffling.
- 11:35If they are true, it's an outright indictment of moral bankruptcy.
- 11:40The persistence of Dubin's name and survivor testimony also carries
- 11:43weight in the court of public opinion. Robert's credibility has
- 11:47been tested in multiple legal venues, and while defense attorneys
- 11:51have worked hard to pick a parterer story, much of
- 11:54what she's alleged about Epstein's network has been corroborated by documents, photographs,
- 11:59and the accounts of other victims. That gives her identification
- 12:02of Dubin a seriousness that cannot be brushed aside as
- 12:06a mere rumor. Even in the absence of charges. The
- 12:10stain of these allegations is permanent. You don't get your
- 12:13name pulled out of a sworn victim testimony in a
- 12:15case as infamous as Epstein's without leaving a permanent mark.
- 12:20At its core, the Roberts' allegations against Glenn Dubin aren't
- 12:24just about one incident. It's about whether a man at
- 12:27the very top of finance uses position in Epstein's inner
- 12:31circle to exploit a traffic girl, and whether the machinery
- 12:34of wealth and influence has ensured that such claims will
- 12:38never see the inside of a criminal courtroom. That's why
- 12:41the allegation continues to loom, unresolved but unforgotten in the
- 12:45ongoing reckoning with Epstein's legacy. All Right, we're going to
- 12:49wrap up part one here, and in the next episode
- 12:51we're gonna pick up where we left off. All of
- 12:54the information that goes with this episode can be found
- 12:57in the description box. What's up, everyone, and welcome to
- 13:00another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're
- 13:04picking up where we left off talking about Glenn Dubin.
- 13:08What makes the Dubin Epstein relationship even more revolting is
- 13:12how public it was within their social circles. These weren't
- 13:16just shadowy backroom meetings. This was dinner party normalcy. Yacht
- 13:21outings and holiday gatherings in the rarefied Manhattan set. People
- 13:25saw it, talked about it, and yet no one with
- 13:28any real influence challenged it. Instead, the Dubin's acceptance acted
- 13:33like a green light for everyone else who wanted to
- 13:36keep Epstein in their orbit without getting their own hands dirty.
- 13:40And Dubin's role wasn't passive either. His financial dealings with
- 13:43Epstein weren't just old investments left with her. They were
- 13:46maintained after Epstein's release from jail. That means someone somewhere
- 13:51had to actively sign off on continuing to intermingle assets
- 13:55with a convicted sex offender. In the world of high finance,
- 13:59nothing like that happens without explicit intent. Even Epstein's philanthropy
- 14:04laundering scheme using intermediaries to make donations without his name attached,
- 14:09fit neatly into the Dubin connection. Eva Anderson Dubin's charity
- 14:14became one such outlet, enabling Epstein to maintain a veneer
- 14:17of generosity while sidestepping the reputational consequences. In essence, the
- 14:23Duben household wasn't just a friend's home to Epstein. It
- 14:26was part of his broader pr strategy. When the Virginia
- 14:30Roberts allegations emerged, Glenn Dubin's denials followed the predictable billionaire template,
- 14:36a brief, categorical and dismissive with no substantative engagements with
- 14:40the facts. But for survivors in the public, the more
- 14:44glaring issue was how deeply his name kept surfacing in
- 14:47legal filings, as if permanently welded to the infrastructure of
- 14:51Epstein's world. This wasn't a one off cameo. It was repeated,
- 14:55embedded presence and look the rod here is an only
- 14:59Duben his own choices, but the ecosystem that enabled them.
- 15:03Other hedge fund titans, art world patrons and political donors
- 15:07salms down by Epstein and chose to look the other way.
- 15:11In elite circles, moral failure doesn't trigger exile. It becomes
- 15:14a shared secret and unspoken agreement that no one will
- 15:18push too hard because everyone's rolodex has skeletons. Dubin's ongoing
- 15:23hospitality towards Epstein post conviction also undercuts every defense about
- 15:28not knowing the full scope of his crimes. By two
- 15:31thousand and nine, there was no mystery Epstein had served
- 15:34time registered as a sex offender and had been the
- 15:38subject of extensive media coverage. Continuing the friendship wasn't about ignorance.
- 15:43It was about deciding that the crimes didn't outweigh his
- 15:46usefulness or companionship. The reported plan Epstein had to marry
- 15:51Selena Dubin wasn't some random joke either. It was exactly
- 15:55the kind of power play that he used to assert
- 15:57dominance over people in his orbit, a way to tether
- 16:00himself to the wealthy, influential families. And that this claim
- 16:05didn't trigger a total scorched earth severing of ties tells
- 16:09you everything you need to know about the mindset in
- 16:11the Duben household at the time. Subpoenas from the US
- 16:15Virgin Islands in twenty twenty put the Dubin squarely in
- 16:18the investigative's crosshairs. The Virgin Islands government wasn't wasting resources
- 16:23chasing irrelevant figures. They were targeting people and entities that
- 16:28formed key parts of Epstein's post two thousand and eight ecosystem.
- 16:33Glenn Dubin's inclusion on that list should have been a
- 16:36scandal in itself, yet it barely registered outside of investigative reporting.
- 16:42The quiet exit from high Bridge Capital and other public
- 16:45roles after Epstein's twenty nineteen arrest wasn't a moral decision.
- 16:49It was optics management. By stepping back without making public statements,
- 16:55Dubin could avoid the kind of on the record reckoning
- 16:58that might generate follow up questions or bind them to
- 17:01a position in the playbook of elite damage control. Silence
- 17:05is an awkward it's a strategy, and that strategy has worked,
- 17:10at least in part. Glenn Dubin has avoided the criminal
- 17:13charges that have caught others in Epstein's orbit, and the
- 17:16public outrage has been diluted by the sheer volume of
- 17:20names involved. But in the court of public opinion, especially
- 17:23for those who have read the filings and traced the timelines,
- 17:27Dubin's years of post conviction friendship with Epstein remained one
- 17:30of the most blatant examples of power enabling predation. Now
- 17:36we have to talk about Eva Anderson Dubin and her
- 17:38connection to Jeffrey Epstein as well. And now it wasn't
- 17:41a fleeting social acquaintance either. It was an entanglement that
- 17:45stretched decades, long before she married Glen Dubin and long
- 17:49after Epstein's first arrest. She had dated Epstein in the
- 17:52early eighties, and they remained close afterward, a loyalty that
- 17:56persisted throughout his conviction for sex crimes. That's not an
- 18:00ordinary amicable ex relationship. That's wilful proximity to a man
- 18:05who was later proven to be a predator. Even after
- 18:08marrying Glenn Dubin, Eva kept Epstein in the fold, and
- 18:12not in the arm's length obligatory way that some exes
- 18:15remained cordial. She corresponded with them, saw them socially, and
- 18:20most shockingly, continued to bring them into her family's private spaces.
- 18:25It was Eva, after all, who reassured Epstein's probation officer
- 18:28in two thousand and nine that her family was one
- 18:31hundred percent comfortable having them over for Thanksgiving with their children.
- 18:35The optics of a former girlfriend turned family friend hosting
- 18:39a convicted sex offender at her own table with her
- 18:41children present are appalling enough, but when you factor in
- 18:45Eva's stature in New York's elite philanthropic scene, it becomes
- 18:49even more grotesque. She wasn't someone owned figure who could
- 18:52slip under the radar. She was a public presence, a
- 18:55patron of the arts and medical causes, consciously lending her
- 18:59credibility you to someone whose reputation was already in tatters.
- 19:04Her breast cancer foundation also became a convenient channel for
- 19:07Epstein's philanthropy laundering. Instead of attaching his name to donations,
- 19:12which would have triggered outrage and negative press, Epstein gave
- 19:16anonymously or through structures designed to hide the source. Eva
- 19:21didn't have to accept the money, but she did, and
- 19:23in doing so, she allowed him to keep buying his
- 19:25way back into polite society now. Eva's defenders sometimes framed
- 19:30her relationship with Epstein as a product of long standing friendship,
- 19:34as though history is a moral shield that logic collapses
- 19:38instantly when applied to a sex offender with a known
- 19:41history of targeting miners. We've known him for a long
- 19:44time is not a defense. It's an admission that the
- 19:47ties were so strong that even his conviction couldn't sever them.
- 19:51And what's worse is the message this sent to her
- 19:54own children and to the elite circle she moved in.
- 19:57By normalizing Epstein's presence in their life lives post conviction,
- 20:01Eva modeled the idea that wealth, power and personal loyalty
- 20:05are more important than the moral aligned drawn at child's
- 20:08sexual abuse. And we're not just talking about bad judgment.
- 20:13We're talking about a corrosive pretense of ethical leadership in
- 20:17the philanthropic world that she inhabited. Her long, strange loyalty
- 20:23to Epstein also gave him something he desperately needed, the
- 20:27ability to appoint to a respectable woman who vouched for
- 20:29him in the wake of his conviction. When others avoided
- 20:33him publicly. Eva continued acceptance acted like a character reference
- 20:37in the court of public opinion. For a predator trying
- 20:40to rebuild his network. That kind of validation was priceless.
- 20:44Even after Epstein's twenty nineteen arrest, when the scale of
- 20:48his crimes became impossible to dismiss, report surfaced about the
- 20:52depth of his relationship with the Duban family. Eva's passed
- 20:56as his girlfriend and her post conviction friendship were suddenly
- 20:59on avoid headlines. Yet she, like her husband, opted for
- 21:03minimal public engagement. No extended explanation, no full throated condemnation,
- 21:09just damage control. It's also telling that Epstein reportedly considered
- 21:14marrying Selena Dubin, Eva's daughter, while some dismiss this as
- 21:18another of Epstein's manipulative fantasies. The fact that it was
- 21:23plausible enough to report underscores just how intimately entwined he
- 21:27remained with the family, and how Eva's own comfort with
- 21:31him helped maintain that entanglement At its core. Eva Anderson
- 21:36Dubin's long, weird relationship with Jeffrey Epstein isn't just about
- 21:40bad optics. It's about how deep personal loyalty can curdle
- 21:45into moral blindness. She had every reason to shut the
- 21:48door on him permanently after two thousand and eight. Instead,
- 21:51she kept it wide open, and in doing so, she
- 21:54helped give a convicted predator the social oxygen he needed
- 21:57to keep moving in the highest circles. By the time
- 22:01Epstein was arrested again in twenty nineteen, the Dubins had
- 22:05already spent a decade providing them with the kind of
- 22:07high society cover he couldn't buy anywhere else. And it
- 22:12wasn't an act of charity. It was an act of complicity,
- 22:15the deliberate choice to keep a convicted sex offender in
- 22:18their lives, their home, and their public image. Their loyalty
- 22:22to Epstein gave them what no PR firm or crisis
- 22:26manager could the endorsement of an influential, respectable couple who
- 22:30refused to treat him like a pariah he should have
- 22:33been even after twenty nineteen. Their strategy wasn't to denounce
- 22:37them or express regret. It was to retreat quietly, to
- 22:40avoid on camera reckonings, to let lawyers and spokespeople drip
- 22:44feed sanitize denials. Glenn stepped away from public face of
- 22:49his hedge fund. Eva slipped deeper into the background of
- 22:52her philanthropy, but neither offered the kind of candid, soul
- 22:56searching public accounting that would have shown even a shred
- 22:59of her responsibility for the role they played in Epstein's
- 23:03rehabilitation tour. In many ways, their silence has been as
- 23:07damning as any direct statement could be. The Dubans never
- 23:11use their platform to condemn Epstein's crimes, to side publicly
- 23:14with the survivors. They never explain why their family dinners
- 23:17and holiday gatherings include a registered sex offender. They never
- 23:22walk the public through their thinking because doing so would
- 23:24require them to admit just how indefensible their actions were.
- 23:29This is the blueprint for elite crisis management, weighted out
- 23:33bank on short memory of the new cycle, and trust
- 23:36that the public outrage will eventually be drowned out by
- 23:39the next scandal. It often works, but that doesn't erase
- 23:42the history or the fact that their choices directly contributed
- 23:46to Epstein's ability to remain in circulation, meet new people,
- 23:50and sustain the illusion of legitimacy. It's also a reminder
- 23:54of how predators like Epstein thrive not because their masterminds
- 23:58operating alone, but because they're propped up by people who
- 24:02should know better. Without enablers like the Dubin's, Epstein's reach
- 24:06would have been drastically reduced after two thousand and eight.
- 24:10They didn't just fail to close the door on them,
- 24:12they opened it wider, and for years, the Dubin household,
- 24:15with its wealth status and deep rollodex, was the perfect
- 24:19showroom for Epstein's rehabilitation. A man who should have been
- 24:24a social outcast was instead enjoying Thanksgiving in one of
- 24:27Manhattan's most rarefied homes, breaking bread with a family that
- 24:30carried both Wall Street and philanthropic cloud. That single fact
- 24:35tells you everything you need to know about the skewed
- 24:38moral compass at play and look. It's hard to overstate
- 24:41the damage this kind of elite endorsement does the public perception.
- 24:45For every potential ally who might have thought twice about
- 24:48associating with Epstein after his conviction, seeing him embraced by
- 24:53people like Lenn and Eva Dubin sent the opposite message
- 24:57that money, status, and personal loyalty can do neutralize even
- 25:01the ugliest of crimes. When Epstein finally died in federal custody,
- 25:06the Dubans lost the one person whose presence in their
- 25:09lives will forever stand their names. But death didn't erase
- 25:13the paper trail, the subpoenas, the testimonies, the allegations, or
- 25:17the photographs that placed them firmly in his orbit. Their
- 25:21chapter in Epstein's saga is permanent, no matter how much
- 25:24they or their lawyers wish it could be scrubbed. Survivors
- 25:28of Epstein's abuse have every right to look at the
- 25:30Dubans and see not just friends of the predator, but
- 25:34facilitators of his post conviction survival. Their year's long relationship
- 25:39with them after two thousand and eight wasn't just a
- 25:41lapse in judgment. It was a signal to the world
- 25:44that his crimes could be forgiven or ignored in the
- 25:47right company. And look, the Dubans weren't bystanders swept up
- 25:51and someone else's scandal. There were active participants in the
- 25:55social rehabilitation and accused, at least Glenn Dubin of partaking
- 25:59in the abuse itself of one of the most notorious
- 26:02predators of our time. They chose to protect them, to
- 26:06stand beside them, to keep them welcomed in their home,
- 26:09and by doing so, they crossed the line. They can
- 26:12never uncross. The damage that they enabled cap be undone,
- 26:15and their names will forever be a footnote in the
- 26:18story of how Jeffrey Epstein kept his world intact long
- 26:21after the rest of us knew exactly what he was.
