Latest / The Richard Sherman Podcast / Patriots-Seahawks REACTION: Seattle survives Darnold injury, DEFENSE dominates Drake Maye | Sherman
Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Richard Sherman Podcast. And what a
- 0:08Speaker 1: night for the Seattle Seahawks. Concerning early on, you lose
- 0:12Speaker 1: Sam Darnold, the first drive of the game. I know,
- 0:16Speaker 1: I know, everybody was like, oh my God, the season's
- 0:19Speaker 1: lost already. But this incredible Mike McDonald coached defense in
- 0:24Speaker 1: Seattle Seahawks team today. It's resilient. It's resilient because champions
- 0:29Speaker 1: never die. On the same day they raised the banner
- 0:33Speaker 1: and I raised the flag in Seattle, in Lumen Field,
- 0:37Speaker 1: the boys are back in town and they're showing out.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Every DB, almost every DB on the field got a
- 0:44Speaker 1: book today.
- 0:45Speaker 2: I mean.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Drake May looked really solid at times. I'm not going
- 0:49Speaker 1: to say he looked great. I'm not going to say
- 0:51Speaker 1: he looked great because the last interception of Josh Jobe was,
- 0:55Speaker 1: I mean, it's going to be indefensible. And as we
- 0:57Speaker 1: watched the tape, Josh Jobe was right where he's supposed
- 0:59Speaker 1: to be, spectacular catch by him, give him all the
- 1:02Speaker 1: credit in the world, but a bad decision by Drake May.
- 1:05Speaker 1: And to start the season off with three interceptions, I mean,
- 1:09Speaker 1: just like this, it looked very similar, eerily similar to
- 1:12Speaker 1: the Super.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Bowl where he just struggled mightily.
- 1:14Speaker 1: And you thought, Hey, without Kobe Bryant, without Ty Akata,
- 1:18Speaker 1: who was out with the hamstring, Rodney Thomas came in.
- 1:22Speaker 1: They brought him up off the practice squad, a guy
- 1:24Speaker 1: who showed flashes during training camp, tackled well in open space.
- 1:28Speaker 1: That's one thing that we love to watch from this
- 1:30Speaker 1: Mike McDonald coach defense is how they tackle in space.
- 1:35Speaker 1: And they did that. They did that consistently. And they
- 1:39Speaker 1: just kept chopping wood. I mean, there were times they
- 1:43Speaker 1: that they were put in very tough situations and they
- 1:45Speaker 1: kept chopping wood. The first touchdown, was that PI legitimate?
- 1:50Speaker 1: I thought Josh Jobe looked back on that play. I
- 1:52Speaker 1: thought Josh Jobe got his head around. You know, an
- 1:55Speaker 1: underthrown ball is the bane of my existence. I really
- 1:59Speaker 1: hate a PI call on an underthrown ball when the
- 2:01Speaker 1: receiver's just jumping, just trying to show effort like he's
- 2:04Speaker 1: going for the ball. The DB doesn't know where the
- 2:07Speaker 1: ball is. He's just running to recover. Josh Jobe did
- 2:09Speaker 1: a phenomenal job getting his head around. I thought looking
- 2:12Speaker 1: as the ball got there, his head got around. I mean,
- 2:14Speaker 1: that's not a call. I thought that might have been
- 2:16Speaker 1: a call. The league could have got involved and kind
- 2:19Speaker 1: of waved that one off. But it leads to New
- 2:22Speaker 1: England's first and only touchdown of the game. So I
- 2:24Speaker 1: think you got to give Mike McDonald's defense a ton
- 2:27Speaker 1: of credit. They played great all game long. I mean,
- 2:32Speaker 1: even with those plays, they made it hard for them
- 2:34Speaker 1: to get an end zone. They gave up a field
- 2:37Speaker 1: goal at the end, and when they needed to step up,
- 2:39Speaker 1: when they needed to make plays in the end, they
- 2:42Speaker 1: made huge plays in.
- 2:43Speaker 2: The second half.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Julian Love's interception was an incredible play. I can't wait
- 2:47Speaker 1: to watch that on film and break that one down.
- 2:49Speaker 1: That was an incredible play. The tip drill between Thomas
- 2:52Speaker 1: and Pritchett was an incredible play. I thought this game
- 2:58Speaker 1: was a defensive game. Then you obviously get the pressures
- 3:02Speaker 1: from the defensive line. They did a phenomenal job. The
- 3:04Speaker 1: big catch. Got him one. Derek Hall, the guy who
- 3:07Speaker 1: got a payday this offseason, he got him one. They
- 3:10Speaker 1: were getting there all day. And I thought they put
- 3:12Speaker 1: a lot of pressure on Drake May. Drake May has
- 3:14Speaker 1: a good athlete and got away with his legs and
- 3:16Speaker 1: made some critical fourth down plays that I'm sure Mike
- 3:19Speaker 1: McDonald will use as coachable moments for this team. But offensively,
- 3:23Speaker 1: give Drew Locke a lot of credit. He came into
- 3:25Speaker 1: a very tough circumstance against a defense who's played really well,
- 3:28Speaker 1: who was getting around. Milton Williams looked like a force
- 3:32Speaker 1: out there. Again, Christian Gonzalez. is one of the best
- 3:34Speaker 1: corners of the National Football League. He was going to
- 3:36Speaker 1: factor in, but Jackson Smith and Jigba, the reigning offensive
- 3:41Speaker 1: player of the year, showed you why he's the reigning
- 3:43Speaker 1: offensive player of the year and probably should be player
- 3:46Speaker 1: of the week this week, unless somebody else has a
- 3:48Speaker 1: crazy game. He didn't have any like big over-the-top catches.
- 3:52Speaker 1: He took Little gains and turned him into big gains.
- 3:54Speaker 1: He took a hitch on, I want to say it
- 3:57Speaker 1: might have been a fourth down, and took it 45 yards,
- 4:00Speaker 1: just outran the defense. Looked incredible. That's how you take
- 4:03Speaker 1: over a game. He didn't care who's that quarterback, anybody,
- 4:06Speaker 1: as long as you get him the ball in space.
- 4:08Speaker 1: And that's what they did, got him the ball in space.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Drew Locke did a good job of just managing the game.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Don't do too much. Don't lose the game. He had
- 4:16Speaker 1: some throws there that were great throws, accurate throws. Cooper
- 4:19Speaker 1: Cupp had a big catch, 24-yard game. gain late in
- 4:23Speaker 1: that game that helped move the ball down the field,
- 4:25Speaker 1: but give Drew Locke a lot of credit. In a
- 4:27Speaker 1: tough situation where he had to come in in a
- 4:30Speaker 1: charged-up environment with his team down 10 points, he led them,
- 4:35Speaker 1: and he led them to a touchdown drive, which should
- 4:39Speaker 1: have been the first field goal drive, looked like a
- 4:42Speaker 1: touchdown drive. Some of the calls from these refs, some
- 4:44Speaker 1: of the calls from these refs, my God.
- 4:47Speaker 2: I know it's early.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It's the first game of the season, but Oh, that
- 4:51Speaker 1: was tough to watch. Some of these calls were tough
- 4:52Speaker 1: to watch. But it gave the Seahawks that adversity. It
- 4:56Speaker 1: gave them something to overcome. And I called it being
- 4:58Speaker 1: a three-point game. Now, did I think it would be 13-10,
- 5:02Speaker 1: three-point game?
- 5:02Speaker 2: No, I didn't.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And I'm sure even those 10 points, Mike McDonald was
- 5:06Speaker 1: going to find something to coach. They didn't have to
- 5:09Speaker 1: give up 10. Really, that PI call was questionable. That's debatable.
- 5:13Speaker 1: The corner gets his head around as the ball gets
- 5:15Speaker 1: there on a super underthrown ball. Like, come on, at
- 5:18Speaker 1: some point you got to, you know, give him some credit.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You got to find a way to call that differently.
- 5:23Speaker 1: And again, on a fourth down, tush push, A.J. Barnyard
- 5:27Speaker 1: looked like he got it. They call a false start
- 5:29Speaker 1: that nobody can see in a stadium.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Again, I don't want to be that guy, but it
- 5:32Speaker 2: looked strange.
- 5:33Speaker 1: But football is back, folks, and you need to change
- 5:37Speaker 1: the way you invest in the NFL this season. It's
- 5:40Speaker 1: time to finally ditch your old sportsbook apps. because Polymarket
- 5:45Speaker 1: is here.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Polymarket is a legal prediction market now available in all
- 5:49Speaker 3: 50 states. And those old sports books, they're a relic
- 5:53Speaker 3: of the past. On Polymarket, you can trade on all
- 5:57Speaker 3: things NFL. From the Sunday Slate, to who wins rookie
- 6:00Speaker 3: of the year, to who performs the halftime show.
- 6:03Speaker 1: We hear from listeners all the time about the sportsbooks
- 6:06Speaker 1: driving them crazy, trying to cash out live. They can
- 6:10Speaker 1: block you as often as they want, holding your money hostage.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Holly Market gives you the freedom to cash out instantly.
- 6:18Speaker 3: If the momentum swings, you sell off of it in
- 6:20Speaker 3: real time. You are in control. No one can lock
- 6:24Speaker 3: you out, and you can also buy in any time.
- 6:27Speaker 3: So when the market dips, like if a team starts
- 6:30Speaker 3: slow and drops to, say, 40%, that's not a loss.
- 6:34Speaker 3: That's when you buy in. At Polymarket, you can buy
- 6:38Speaker 3: cheap and ride the momentum back up.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Polymarket is so confident that you won't go back to
- 6:43Speaker 1: your old ways that they're issuing a challenge.
- 6:46Speaker 2: They're giving you a.
- 6:47Speaker 1: $ 50 bonus when you deposit just $ 10. Sign up right
- 6:51Speaker 1: now with the promo code Sherman.
- 6:53Speaker 3: That's polymarket.us and use promo code Sherman to get a
- 6:58Speaker 3: $ 50 bonus when you deposit just $ 10.
- 7:02Speaker 1: This defense looks like they're picking up right where they
- 7:06Speaker 1: left off. A lot of great plays to be made.
- 7:09Speaker 1: I'm sure there's some things in the run game, their
- 7:11Speaker 1: run defense that they want to get cleaned up. It
- 7:13Speaker 1: was a little leaky at times, but I mean, it
- 7:16Speaker 1: was 100 yards, and it was a tough situation. They
- 7:18Speaker 1: were put in very difficult situations, and they kept standing up.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Give them a ton of credit. Obviously, nobody had the
- 7:26Speaker 1: game they wanted to have, but it's the first game
- 7:28Speaker 1: of the season. The defense gets three turnovers. I mean,
- 7:32Speaker 1: Julian Love, you could expect he played fantastic. He was
- 7:34Speaker 1: great in the run game, great in the pass game.
- 7:36Speaker 1: It looks like he might have an all-pro campaign starting
- 7:39Speaker 1: off first game of the season, but they were chasing
- 7:43Speaker 1: the blitzes. They were chasing, uh, uh, Drake may around.
- 7:46Speaker 1: It seemed like they were trying to get him flustered
- 7:48Speaker 1: like he was in a super bowl. And at times
- 7:50Speaker 1: he found, he found the answers. That was clearly a
- 7:53Speaker 1: point of focus this off season is to find answers
- 7:56Speaker 1: to these blitzes that Mike McDonald sins, but he couldn't
- 7:59Speaker 1: find answers to all of them.
- 8:00Speaker 2: And he couldn't find answers.
- 8:01Speaker 1: To the coverage adjustments that they made, especially the late
- 8:04Speaker 1: rotations or, you know, the, the plays, the ranges, these
- 8:07Speaker 1: safeties have, um, I think he tried to attack what
- 8:11Speaker 1: he perceived was weakness. It wasn't so. It wasn't so.
- 8:16Speaker 1: A great, great win for the Seattle Seahawks. And in
- 8:20Speaker 1: a game, you lose your starting quarterback in the first drive.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Jadarian Price only had 10 carries. They didn't run him
- 8:27Speaker 1: into the ground. But in those 10 carries, he had
- 8:29Speaker 1: 51 yards. That's a good game. That's a good game
- 8:32Speaker 1: for the Rooks. I don't think they got to use him.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I don't think they got to use every play in
- 8:35Speaker 1: their playbook that they had coming into this game. Again,
- 8:38Speaker 1: this is Brian Flory's first game, calling it for this team.
- 8:41Speaker 1: So there's going to be some learning, especially when you
- 8:44Speaker 1: have a different quarterback come in. That's going to adjust
- 8:46Speaker 1: your game plan. That's going to adjust the way you're
- 8:48Speaker 1: thinking about it. But nobody panicked. That's the big thing.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Nobody panicked this entire game, either side of the ball.
- 8:56Speaker 1: That's the point of having veteran players on both sides
- 9:00Speaker 1: of the ball. You've got a veteran offensive player of
- 9:03Speaker 1: the year, receiver, and Jackson Smith and Jigba. You got
- 9:07Speaker 1: a former Triple Crown winner in Cooper Cup who made
- 9:11Speaker 1: big plays down the stretch. You got a veteran quarterback
- 9:15Speaker 1: in Drew Locke who knows, hey, I don't have to
- 9:17Speaker 1: win this game. I just have to get the ball
- 9:18Speaker 1: to my playmakers in space and allow them to do
- 9:21Speaker 1: what they did. And against a really tough defensive line,
- 9:24Speaker 1: this offensive line stood up as best they could. They
- 9:27Speaker 1: didn't give up a ton of sacks. They tried to keep.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Milton Williams is a good player. He's going to be there.
- 9:33Speaker 1: He's going to cause some disruptions. It's the first game.
- 9:35Speaker 1: You're going to go through your growing pains, but it
- 9:38Speaker 1: seems like there's positive news. Mike McDonald thinks it's not
- 9:42Speaker 1: too serious with Sam Darnold. They're hopeful for a positive deal.
- 9:47Speaker 1: His first tests have been promising. They think they're going to,
- 9:53Speaker 1: you know, they think they dodged a bullet, but we'll see.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I don't think you'll know until it happens. They got
- 10:00Speaker 1: great news back on.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Let me read it.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Let me read it because Adam Schefter just tweeted out,
- 10:05Speaker 1: Seahawks Mike McDonald said the team got great news back
- 10:08Speaker 1: on Sam Donald and the doctors do not believe his
- 10:11Speaker 1: quarterback's hip is fractured. An MRI Thursday is expected to
- 10:14Speaker 1: tell the team more. That's as good as you can
- 10:16Speaker 1: get in this situation. Until you get an MRI, an
- 10:19Speaker 1: MRI might reveal some, you know, it can get tricky,
- 10:23Speaker 1: but they can test for a lot of those things.
- 10:25Speaker 1: If he's not feeling a pinch and impingement and things
- 10:27Speaker 1: like that, I think, you know, if the team feels
- 10:29Speaker 1: good about it, I feel good about it. They're playing
- 10:31Speaker 1: Arizona Cardinals. There's no easy games in this league. There's
- 10:35Speaker 1: no gimmies or, you know, games you can overlook, but
- 10:40Speaker 1: they got a long week to heal, a long week
- 10:42Speaker 1: to figure things out, and they got a chance to
- 10:45Speaker 1: continue to attack. This defense has to be feeling really
- 10:49Speaker 1: good about what they did, being able to create those turnovers,
- 10:52Speaker 1: being able to swarm in the way they did, and
- 10:55Speaker 1: being able to just stand up and keep giving their
- 10:58Speaker 1: offense a chance. Keep giving your offense a chance. That's
- 11:00Speaker 1: what great defenses do. They keep giving their offense the
- 11:03Speaker 1: ball and keep giving them a chance. And if you
- 11:04Speaker 1: look at this game compared to the Super Bowl, the
- 11:08Speaker 1: Seahawks allowed 13 points in the Super Bowl. They allowed
- 11:11Speaker 1: 10 today. They allowed 4.9 yards per play in the
- 11:15Speaker 1: Super Bowl. They allowed 4.1 in this game. They had
- 11:18Speaker 1: three takeaways in the Super Bowl. They had three takeaways
- 11:20Speaker 1: in this game. Look, seems like Mike McDonald might have
- 11:25Speaker 1: this offense figured out. He might have Drake May figured out.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Drake May, again, needs to go back to the drawing board.
- 11:32Speaker 1: He's a long way away from the all-pro quarterback that
- 11:34Speaker 1: we watched last year that came second in the MVP race.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I think, obviously, what happened to A.J. Brown is going
- 11:41Speaker 1: to be a big deal. Obviously, he left with an injury.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I'm not sure if it's a high-angle sprain. There's been
- 11:46Speaker 1: Some rumors about an Achilles. I don't think it was
- 11:48Speaker 1: an Achilles because they're saying he walked out of the
- 11:50Speaker 1: building in a boot. I don't know many people walking
- 11:54Speaker 1: out of a building with a boot and no crutches
- 11:57Speaker 1: coming off a ruptured Achilles, but Matt Collins stepped up
- 12:02Speaker 1: late in that game for the New England Patriots, but again,
- 12:05Speaker 1: once they lost A.J.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Brown, it was a different offense.
- 12:08Speaker 1: It was a less threatening offense, and I still know
- 12:11Speaker 1: everybody was looking for Douglas, and he made some plays
- 12:13Speaker 1: as much as he could, but Romeo Dobbs didn't flash
- 12:16Speaker 1: in a way that we kind of would expect him to,
- 12:20Speaker 1: especially once A.J. Brown went out, and I think that's
- 12:23Speaker 1: going to be a concern.
- 12:24Speaker 2: If A.J.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Brown's out for an extended amount of time for the
- 12:27Speaker 1: New England Patriots, what are they going to look like offensively?
- 12:29Speaker 1: If they can't depend on Douglas, if they can't truly
- 12:32Speaker 1: depend on Romeo Dobbs, I mean, what are they going
- 12:35Speaker 1: to do? And that's a question I can't answer. Ramondre
- 12:40Speaker 1: Stevenson looked solid. I mean, he had some– Kerry's where
- 12:43Speaker 1: he looked like he broke a few tackles and got
- 12:46Speaker 1: more than what was there, but it was nothing special.
- 12:49Speaker 1: And again, if Drake May struggles in the way he
- 12:52Speaker 1: did today, I just don't see it going really well.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Football is back. And if you're getting ready for the season,
- 13:02Speaker 1: pull up to your local Lids. The exclusive 47 NFL
- 13:06Speaker 1: collection is available only today. In store at Lids. And
- 13:10Speaker 1: this gear is the gear you're going to need if
- 13:12Speaker 1: you're going all in all season.
- 13:15Speaker 3: No doubt about it. We're talking NFL graphic tees. The
- 13:18Speaker 3: iconic 47 hitch headwear silhouette. Richard, you like this, man?
- 13:24Speaker 3: I love this. The Detroit Lions 47 hitch headwear I
- 13:28Speaker 3: got on. And fan gear that looks good on game day.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Monday morning and every day in between.
- 13:35Speaker 2: And listen.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I know a little something about being all in. The
- 13:38Speaker 1: Legion of Boom energy, it was not casual. We didn't
- 13:42Speaker 1: walk on the field hoping people noticed us. We set
- 13:45Speaker 1: the tone. We brought the energy. We made sure everybody
- 13:49Speaker 1: knew exactly who they were dealing with.
- 13:51Speaker 3: That's how you should rep your team, Richard.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Confidence.
- 13:54Speaker 2: No apologies.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Whether you're hosting the crew, watching the family, tailgating before
- 13:59Speaker 3: the game, or sitting across from somebody wearing the wrong colors,
- 14:04Speaker 3: get to your local Lid's. and rep your squad the
- 14:07Speaker 3: right way.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Football isn't just a Sunday thing. It's a rivalry. It's tradition.
- 14:12Speaker 2: It's pride.
- 14:13Speaker 1: It's who you are all week long. So don't wait
- 14:17Speaker 1: until kickoff to get ready. Pull up to Lids and
- 14:20Speaker 1: go all in, all season, only in store at Lids. Sorry,
- 14:27Speaker 1: I mean, you're looking at some of these fan reactions
- 14:30Speaker 1: because last year they're comparing this interception play that Josh
- 14:34Speaker 1: Joe made to the non-interception that Tariq Woolen was involved
- 14:38Speaker 1: in where the 49ers tied in, was able to step
- 14:42Speaker 1: in front of him and save the game for the
- 14:43Speaker 1: 49ers and win that one. And this year, Josh Jobe
- 14:46Speaker 1: makes a spectacular acrobatic catch, keeps two feet in. And again,
- 14:51Speaker 1: you've got to give the Seattle Seahawks and John Snyder
- 14:53Speaker 1: a ton of credit for retaining Josh Jobe, for prioritizing
- 14:57Speaker 1: Josh Jobe and what he would do this offseason. Obviously,
- 15:00Speaker 1: the other corner is going to be a point of contention.
- 15:03Speaker 1: They were without They're without Nick Emanwuri, who's a huge, huge,
- 15:08Speaker 1: huge part of what this defense does and disguising along
- 15:13Speaker 1: with Devin Witherspoon. But once they get these guys back,
- 15:17Speaker 1: once they get Ty Akata, once they get Nick Emanwuri back,
- 15:20Speaker 1: I mean, the sky's the limit. These guys are big-time playmakers.
- 15:24Speaker 1: They're big-time factors in this offense. And then on the
- 15:27Speaker 1: offensive side, once you get Sam Darnold back, they were
- 15:29Speaker 1: able to beat the Super Bowl runner-ups with Drew Locke
- 15:33Speaker 1: just getting the ball, figuring it out as he go,
- 15:35Speaker 1: making sure he got the ball into his playmaker's hands.
- 15:37Speaker 1: And I thought this was a solid game for Jadarian Price.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Special teams-wise, it was a solid game. I think this
- 15:43Speaker 1: is as good as you can expect from the Seahawks
- 15:46Speaker 1: under the circumstances. I think everybody should be happy, incredibly
- 15:50Speaker 1: excited for this season because these guys– made it happen.
- 15:55Speaker 1: They overcame the adversity. Like, everything, not everything that went wrong,
- 15:59Speaker 1: but a lot of things that could go wrong.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Went wrong in this game, and they overcame it. And
- 16:04Speaker 2: they kept battling.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Again, championship spirit, championship metal, those things were shown in
- 16:09Speaker 1: this game. And I think, again, this is going to
- 16:12Speaker 1: be a tough out for any team in this National
- 16:14Speaker 1: Football League, regardless. If you come into Seattle, don't expect
- 16:18Speaker 1: to leave here with a win. If you do, you
- 16:21Speaker 1: might limp out of there with a win. But, This
- 16:24Speaker 1: is going to be a tough team, and I expect
- 16:25Speaker 1: them to be competing for a Super Bowl this year.
- 16:27Speaker 1: This game did nothing to put that fire out. Great
- 16:31Speaker 1: win for the Seattle Seahawks. This leaves Patriots fans with
- 16:37Speaker 1: more questions than answers. Is Drake May regressing? I don't
- 16:40Speaker 1: think so. I think Mike McDonald's defense is a tough
- 16:43Speaker 1: matchup for everybody. The looks that they get, the confusion
- 16:47Speaker 1: that they cause, the late rotations and the work that
- 16:51Speaker 1: the safeties do. It puts a lot of pressure on
- 16:53Speaker 1: the quarterback, especially throughout the game, and I think it
- 16:56Speaker 1: just came down to Drake making a few mistakes. Now,
- 16:59Speaker 1: can he recover from a game like this, or is
- 17:01Speaker 1: he putting things on film that other teams can kind
- 17:04Speaker 1: of piggyback off of and cause the same issues for him?
- 17:07Speaker 1: We shall see, but again, this is why I had
- 17:09Speaker 1: Buffalo winning that AFC East. I know you guys didn't
- 17:13Speaker 1: like to hear it, Patriots fans.
- 17:16Speaker 2: This is why.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Because you just never know. Life is like a box
- 17:19Speaker 1: of chocolate, Forrest Gump said. You never know what you're
- 17:21Speaker 1: going to get. But that's all I got for you
- 17:23Speaker 1: guys tonight. I appreciate you guys, as always, joining me tonight.
- 17:28Speaker 1: This is the first summary of the season, and it
- 17:31Speaker 1: had to be the Seahawks Super Bowl champions pull out
- 17:34Speaker 1: a win at home the night I raised the flag.
- 17:38Speaker 2: It just feels good.
- 17:39Speaker 1: It feels like I was a part of it. It
- 17:40Speaker 1: feels like I helped give the energy, defense the energy.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Defense wins championships. And it's proven again. Appreciate you guys
- 17:49Speaker 1: joining me. You could be anywhere in the world, but
- 17:50Speaker 1: you're here with me. Seahawks fans, sleep well tonight. Everybody else, beware.
- 17:57Speaker 2: All love.
