- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello, welcome back to Inside the Data on Inside the Birds.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I'm Jeff Mosher, and of course with us is Sam
- 0:15Speaker 1: Fingle bringing us inside the game inside the Eagles lately
- 0:19Speaker 1: with some data and analytics on which I asked him
- 0:23Speaker 1: to do coming out of the first preseason game against
- 0:27Speaker 1: the Ravens. I know it's later in the week, everybody's
- 0:29Speaker 1: already focused on the joint practices going on with the
- 0:32Speaker 1: Patriots and the next preseason game, but we did think
- 0:37Speaker 1: we should go through a couple of guys who did
- 0:40Speaker 1: play in the preseason opener. Obviously, these are key backups
- 0:43Speaker 1: because none of the starters played other than John Campbell,
- 0:47Speaker 1: and we wanted to see if there was anything in
- 0:50Speaker 1: the underlying metrics that could just tell us a story
- 0:54Speaker 1: that we didn't know, and so we weren't going to
- 0:56Speaker 1: go through everybody.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Obviously, Sam picked out a couple different.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Players, and obviously also at this time of the year,
- 1:02Speaker 1: there's not as much analytics and data that the underlying
- 1:06Speaker 1: stuff that is normally available during the regular season, so
- 1:10Speaker 1: this will be a little bit more thorough once we
- 1:12Speaker 1: start doing this during the season. But Sam, when you
- 1:15Speaker 1: were picking out some guys to really focus on is
- 1:18Speaker 1: there any one thing that told you a story that
- 1:20Speaker 1: you thought was more interesting.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean again, it's pretty identical to what you
- 1:27Speaker 3: see what you saw on the screen. The offense struggled
- 1:31Speaker 3: a lot. The defense made a couple of splash plays,
- 1:34Speaker 3: but they also kind of struggled. And it's good that
- 1:37Speaker 3: these are depth players, but if you think about it,
- 1:39Speaker 3: they're also playing depth players, so you kind of don't
- 1:41Speaker 3: want to see that much struggled. So I think that
- 1:46Speaker 3: focusing on that. I think one of the big things
- 1:48Speaker 3: is penalties as a big one third downs, which we
- 1:53Speaker 3: talked about at nauseum last year, and I think you
- 1:57Speaker 3: know how efficiently the Eagles ran the ball, and again
- 2:01Speaker 3: that that data point is specifically skewed because Cole Payton
- 2:05Speaker 3: contributed to a majority of the efficient rushing yards, but
- 2:10Speaker 3: I do think it's interesting that it's one of the
- 2:12Speaker 3: only categories that the Equals won with. Also, you know,
- 2:16Speaker 3: the turnovers not allow that was one of the only
- 2:18Speaker 3: highlights for the offense.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'd say, right, right, fair, I love the point you made,
- 2:23Speaker 1: and we're going to get right into it as I
- 2:25Speaker 1: bring up the chart about the penalties, because I've been
- 2:29Speaker 1: having this discussion I think not only with you, but
- 2:32Speaker 1: also with Adam on inside the birds and sort of
- 2:36Speaker 1: trying to tell everybody that they're going to need to
- 2:39Speaker 1: be patient, that this thing isn't going to happen overnight.
- 2:43Speaker 1: There's going there's more prestat motion than they ever used.
- 2:47Speaker 2: There's a different way of blocking now on wide zone.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Than there is just this in terms of going up
- 2:53Speaker 1: the middle like duo or inside zone. And what I'm
- 2:57Speaker 1: anticipating early on is a lot of maybe illegal shifts,
- 3:02Speaker 1: I legal motions off, no false starts, because everybody's got
- 3:06Speaker 1: to be in the same rhythm and cadence and everybody's
- 3:08Speaker 1: got to be working together. Lane Johnson missed like the
- 3:11Speaker 1: first week, right, And so it's not like there's limited
- 3:16Speaker 1: reps in practices in the old days where Andy Reid
- 3:20Speaker 1: can have a team out in Lee High for three
- 3:22Speaker 1: hours just just for the morning session and then later
- 3:25Speaker 1: bring them back on for another hour and a half
- 3:27Speaker 1: in the afternoon.
- 3:28Speaker 2: So it's not as easy to adjust.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Well, let me ask you this, do you think it's
- 3:33Speaker 3: a mistake that with this new offensive scheme to not
- 3:36Speaker 3: have the starters out there to just like kind of
- 3:38Speaker 3: get a feel for it, because if there's going to
- 3:40Speaker 3: be these growing pains, don't you think this is the
- 3:42Speaker 3: time to get rid of them?
- 3:44Speaker 1: I think it's I think it's there's an argument to
- 3:46Speaker 1: be made for it, Sam, I think that there's It's
- 3:48Speaker 1: always going to come back to is it worth the.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Risk of a major injury?
- 3:52Speaker 1: Is it worth putting these guys out there, especially with
- 3:55Speaker 1: the joint practices coming up a few days later against
- 3:57Speaker 1: the Patriots, which are always very intense no matter who
- 4:00Speaker 1: you're practicing against. I don't like to do this whole
- 4:04Speaker 1: it's it's right or it's wrong thing, because I think
- 4:06Speaker 1: that there's I would say, there's advantages and disadvantages, okay,
- 4:11Speaker 1: And if you're strongly in favor of the advantages, you
- 4:15Speaker 1: think it's right. If you're strongly against what the disadvantages present,
- 4:19Speaker 1: then you think it's wrong.
- 4:20Speaker 2: And who am I to say that somebody's right wrong
- 4:22Speaker 2: about an opinion on that?
- 4:23Speaker 3: I think a better question I should have asked you
- 4:26Speaker 3: is would you expect this penalty, you know, margin to
- 4:29Speaker 3: be consistent through the first few weeks of the season.
- 4:31Speaker 3: I think that's probably a better way to ask When
- 4:34Speaker 3: I was trying to Yeah.
- 4:34Speaker 1: That's what I've been trying to emphasize and shows with
- 4:38Speaker 1: like the patients. I do think there's I think there's
- 4:41Speaker 1: going to be more penalties than usual on the side
- 4:44Speaker 1: of the Eagles offense, pre snap type penalties, you know
- 4:48Speaker 1: again of false starts and and probably some legal shifts
- 4:52Speaker 1: and motions as they really get this thing working. And
- 4:57Speaker 1: injuries that happen in training camp, whether it's lineman or
- 5:00Speaker 1: wide receivers. You know, like Makai Lemon, I think is
- 5:03Speaker 1: gonna be a real movement motion type player.
- 5:06Speaker 2: He hasn't even gotten on the practice field, right, So it's.
- 5:09Speaker 1: It's tough when you don't have everybody. And then when
- 5:12Speaker 1: you start the season, you're really preparing for your opponent.
- 5:15Speaker 1: You're trying to work on that in practice. Every coach
- 5:18Speaker 1: will tell you, but you're also.
- 5:20Speaker 2: It's not training camp.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Once the season starts, it's really game plan specific, so
- 5:24Speaker 1: it becomes a little bit more difficult. I think a
- 5:27Speaker 1: great analytics question that we're gonna be talking about throughout
- 5:31Speaker 1: the year, Sam that probably won't come up in this
- 5:34Speaker 1: path I won't, but I've been thinking of it and
- 5:36Speaker 1: I want to introduce it now because I was thinking
- 5:38Speaker 1: about how Sam Donald had to adjust to the Clint
- 5:41Speaker 1: Kubiak offense last year, which was I don't think. I mean,
- 5:44Speaker 1: he had spent some time right with McVeigh and he
- 5:47Speaker 1: spent some time with I think it was a backup
- 5:50Speaker 1: for a year with Shanahan, so it wasn't completely unfamiliar,
- 5:53Speaker 1: but like when you're running it yourself, it's a little
- 5:56Speaker 1: bit different, right. And the one thing I would say
- 5:58Speaker 1: about Sam Donald last year, or maybe you would agree
- 6:01Speaker 1: or disagree, but he didn't play like an all PROB.
- 6:04Speaker 1: But he played like a pretty good quarterback for the
- 6:06Speaker 1: second year in a row. But he did throw double
- 6:08Speaker 1: digit interceptions. So that's always the knock on Sam is
- 6:12Speaker 1: that he throws interceptions. However, I think that with the
- 6:15Speaker 1: limited weaponry that the Seahawks had, it was important for
- 6:18Speaker 1: him to try to stress defenses as much as possible.
- 6:22Speaker 1: And he's got a willing arm and a willing thrower,
- 6:25Speaker 1: and he obviously he had a great connection with Jackson
- 6:27Speaker 1: Smith and Jigba. So I think the analytical question that
- 6:33Speaker 1: I'm asking myself lately curious undertake.
- 6:36Speaker 2: On it is.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Should Jalen Hurts be okay and the offense be okay
- 6:42Speaker 1: with more interceptions than normal?
- 6:45Speaker 2: Which for him is very low.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Right, he throws almost none because a they don't throw
- 6:49Speaker 1: much and be he's very careful.
- 6:50Speaker 2: He takes a lot of sacks for the trade off of.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Establishing even more of a downfield rhythm with his receivers
- 6:59Speaker 1: and throwing more touchdown passes than before because in the
- 7:04Speaker 1: past it was okay not to do that because they
- 7:07Speaker 1: ran a specific style of conservative offense.
- 7:09Speaker 2: But now you're breaking out of that.
- 7:12Speaker 1: And I think that if he throws a couple of picks,
- 7:14Speaker 1: but it they're well intentioned, If for lack of a
- 7:18Speaker 1: better word, or he's trying to drive the ball and
- 7:20Speaker 1: it leads to more success as they go on, I
- 7:24Speaker 1: think that there should be an okay part of that.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean my gut reaction is absolutely you you know,
- 7:32Speaker 3: you can't be afraid of throwing the ball. And I
- 7:35Speaker 3: think sometimes the way Eagles have conducted them, with the
- 7:38Speaker 3: way Hurtz has conducted himself, being turnover adverse is very good,
- 7:44Speaker 3: you know, being turnover reverse is very good. But to
- 7:46Speaker 3: the same degree you're you're gonna miss other opportunities. You're
- 7:49Speaker 3: gonna lose, like the confidence to make those plays in
- 7:51Speaker 3: the future, and the defense is not gonna it was
- 7:54Speaker 3: a whole thing about throwing over the middle, like that
- 7:55Speaker 3: was a whole narrative. I definitely think I could do
- 7:59Speaker 3: a study on this, and I think it would be
- 8:00Speaker 3: a fun one to do. I just pulled up Darnald's stats.
- 8:04Speaker 3: He had fourteen interceptions last year and twelve the year before,
- 8:07Speaker 3: so both double digit like you said, and I think that,
- 8:13Speaker 3: you know, some of the best quarterbacks to ever play
- 8:15Speaker 3: are not turnover averse. I mean, you think about it,
- 8:18Speaker 3: there were guys that just they could make any throw
- 8:20Speaker 3: in the field, and when you try to make risky
- 8:22Speaker 3: throws sometimes it'll go the other way. Yeah, the real
- 8:25Speaker 3: threshold to me is whether there are more positive plays
- 8:29Speaker 3: or more negative plays. And I think that's honestly, at
- 8:32Speaker 3: the end of the day, how I would do this
- 8:33Speaker 3: analysis is like how many of those like turnover worthy
- 8:37Speaker 3: throws turned into touchdowns or big plays? Right, I think
- 8:41Speaker 3: that's what the study would kind of be central on
- 8:45Speaker 3: for sure.
- 8:46Speaker 2: For sure.
- 8:46Speaker 1: All right, well, we'll definitely pay attention to that and
- 8:48Speaker 1: have that discussion going on as always. You I know,
- 8:52Speaker 1: you always give the basic stacks and stats, and obviously
- 8:55Speaker 1: the Ravens, you know, were ahead of the It wasn't
- 8:59Speaker 1: just that they were ahead, but I buy a lot.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You know, they ran seventy six place, Eagles ran forty
- 9:03Speaker 1: four hundred and forty yards. He goes out one hundred
- 9:05Speaker 1: and sixty, and like you said, even the Eagles yards
- 9:08Speaker 1: per rush is a little inflated by Cole Payton scramming around.
- 9:11Speaker 1: But the biggest thing I took from what really was
- 9:13Speaker 1: the penalties more so than anything, because I don't care
- 9:16Speaker 1: about preseason stats, but penalties ten for ninety six, Ravens
- 9:21Speaker 1: three for twenty five. And again I only care about
- 9:24Speaker 1: it because knowing it's backups, because this is something that
- 9:28Speaker 1: I've been wondering about just in general, even before this game.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Sure, I mean the other takeaway, at least to me,
- 9:34Speaker 3: is that time of possession. I mean, I think that's
- 9:38Speaker 3: indicative of, you know, the team's health on offense, whether
- 9:42Speaker 3: they can hold the ball for a long time or not.
- 9:44Speaker 3: And I guess it doesn't matter for time of possession
- 9:47Speaker 3: if you can score points quickly. But the fact that
- 9:51Speaker 3: they only put up seven points and only had the
- 9:53Speaker 3: ball for less than twenty minutes, it's not a great sign,
- 9:57Speaker 3: you know, even with the backups in like I just
- 9:59Speaker 3: I find that as a health indicator in a very
- 10:02Speaker 3: negative area for.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Sure, sure and a little And that's an easy way
- 10:06Speaker 1: to believe the defense, But it's also an indictment, as
- 10:08Speaker 1: you're saying, of the offense to only put forty plays up.
- 10:12Speaker 2: And basically hand the Ravens the ball quite often.
- 10:15Speaker 1: And I do think that there's one. We'll talk about
- 10:18Speaker 1: it because you have some stats on him later. There
- 10:21Speaker 1: is a concern that I've been having, so is Adam,
- 10:25Speaker 1: and we'll talk about it when we get there. I
- 10:27Speaker 1: would do want to get to the situational stats. Obviously,
- 10:30Speaker 1: the Eagles were zero for nine on third down. Now,
- 10:32Speaker 1: that's like the worst even though it doesn't matter, it's
- 10:35Speaker 1: the worst possible stat you could see for a team
- 10:38Speaker 1: that last year was like epically bad and had the
- 10:42Speaker 1: most three and outs in like NFL history on third
- 10:45Speaker 1: I mean, they were just so terrible you just wanted
- 10:48Speaker 1: to see it improve, even if knowing that it's the backups, right, Yeah.
- 10:52Speaker 3: I mean you would hope with a new scheme, you know,
- 10:54Speaker 3: they would emphasize different ways of getting those third down conversions.
- 10:59Speaker 3: But at the same time, I mean, you're seeing a
- 11:00Speaker 3: very vanilla form of the offense. And there's an adjustment
- 11:04Speaker 3: factor for sure, So I think that that's part of it. Again,
- 11:10Speaker 3: you don't like to see zero for anything, but especially
- 11:13Speaker 3: for nine attempts. Not great for sure.
- 11:16Speaker 2: All right, let's move on to the underlying stuff.
- 11:19Speaker 1: And here we go already as we talk about the offense,
- 11:21Speaker 1: Sam with the first concern that I have because, as
- 11:25Speaker 1: you know, we talk about it on inside the Birds
- 11:27Speaker 1: a lot.
- 11:28Speaker 2: We don't take anything that we see in the preseason
- 11:32Speaker 2: and try to extrapolate it into the regular season. It's
- 11:35Speaker 2: the preseason for a reason.
- 11:38Speaker 1: But you know, with Tanner McKee, that's why I won't overreact,
- 11:41Speaker 1: but I'll say I'm concerned only because I think I
- 11:45Speaker 1: have an idea of how the offense is supposed to look,
- 11:48Speaker 1: just a talking to a lot of different coaches who've
- 11:51Speaker 1: run the Shanahan scheme before and then be just knowing
- 11:54Speaker 1: a lot about it. And there's there's supposed to be
- 11:57Speaker 1: a time and a rhythm, and you know, the outs
- 12:00Speaker 1: are supposed to really be in sync with the drops
- 12:03Speaker 1: and it's supposed to when it works, it looks like
- 12:05Speaker 1: poetry in motion. And even for McKee to complete sixty
- 12:09Speaker 1: percent of the pass passes, it.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Didn't look like poetry in motion. And he has struggled
- 12:14Speaker 2: at times in camp not with it almost looks like
- 12:18Speaker 2: to me like there's like a reluctancy there, or there's
- 12:22Speaker 2: there's something off with the timing between him and receivers
- 12:25Speaker 2: at times. I mean, that hasn't been a disaster.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I'm not trying to paint it that way, but we've
- 12:30Speaker 1: come to see Tanner McKee like look really good in
- 12:33Speaker 1: these environments that are conducive to quarterbacks, and he just
- 12:36Speaker 1: has not done that yet.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Agreed, Totally agreed. I mean, if you just look at
- 12:43Speaker 3: the statistics, I mean, you can get convinced, like you said,
- 12:46Speaker 3: with the six out of ten, you know, that feels
- 12:48Speaker 3: really good. But I also wanted to say that that
- 12:50Speaker 3: three and a half yards per attempt is really low,
- 12:53Speaker 3: and it's just he doesn't seem to be what at
- 12:57Speaker 3: least we thought he would be at this point in
- 13:00Speaker 3: his career, you know, and maybe that sheds light into
- 13:04Speaker 3: why the Eagles, you know, acquired Andy Dalton, why they
- 13:07Speaker 3: took Cole Payton. I mean, there are things that we
- 13:11Speaker 3: expected of McKee at this point, and I just you're
- 13:16Speaker 3: right there, are very concerning components to his game play
- 13:20Speaker 3: for sure, Yeah, especially like good, Oh it was good.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Well, you might have been about to mention it because
- 13:27Speaker 1: normally two point one nine time to throw looks good, like, oh,
- 13:30Speaker 1: you're getting rid of the ball, right.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Yeah. I kind of looked at it at the inverse
- 13:34Speaker 3: this time a little bit because he didn't really have
- 13:38Speaker 3: as much time, so it may it may not be
- 13:41Speaker 3: entirely on him. I mean, getting the ball out fast
- 13:44Speaker 3: is one thing, but being forced to get the ball
- 13:46Speaker 3: out That's why I love and hate the statistic because
- 13:49Speaker 3: you need the context of are you just getting the
- 13:52Speaker 3: ball out fast or are you being forced to get
- 13:54Speaker 3: the ball out fast?
- 13:55Speaker 2: Right? And he had what one pressure on ten dropbacks?
- 13:59Speaker 2: Is that okay, not terrible, right, I mean not as
- 14:02Speaker 2: far as you know, being under duress a.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Lot, But that one pressure was a sack.
- 14:07Speaker 2: So it was a sack.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Is pressure to sack percentage is one hundred percent, which
- 14:11Speaker 3: is never That's obviously again small sample size, but you
- 14:14Speaker 3: never want that.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Correct.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Uh So, if we're to deduce that on nine of
- 14:20Speaker 1: his ten dropbacks, he was not really under a lot
- 14:23Speaker 1: of duress but did not complete a pass past thirteen yards.
- 14:27Speaker 1: You know, I think I think it's just again it's
- 14:30Speaker 1: it's something that's a concern. You probably heightened it a
- 14:33Speaker 1: little bit because he's splitting reps with Andy Dalton. If
- 14:37Speaker 1: Andy Dolt wasn't here, we would just say, well, we
- 14:39Speaker 1: know he's the backup and hopefully he'll figure it out
- 14:42Speaker 1: by the time if he has to play. But now
- 14:45Speaker 1: you're wondering, well, what's the deal here going to be?
- 14:47Speaker 2: Are they really going to keep four?
- 14:48Speaker 1: Because that's always seemed like a strange concept to me
- 14:52Speaker 1: to begin with. And if not, like what's going to
- 14:54Speaker 1: give here?
- 14:55Speaker 3: You know, for sure you got me thinking a little
- 14:57Speaker 3: bit with that two point one nine time three And
- 15:00Speaker 3: I'm gonna I'm gonna have to rewatch some of the
- 15:02Speaker 3: film and maybe pay attention to it this week. But
- 15:04Speaker 3: what's interesting there to me, and I'm sorry I'm derailing
- 15:07Speaker 3: kind of that thought process, but not worth What was
- 15:10Speaker 3: interesting to me is is he getting the ball out
- 15:12Speaker 3: too fast? Like? Is he getting the does he not
- 15:16Speaker 3: taking the time to make the right reads? And I
- 15:18Speaker 3: would have to like look really carefully next week and
- 15:21Speaker 3: maybe I'll rewatch the film this week and trying to
- 15:24Speaker 3: determine that because I think that is also a potential takeaway, and.
- 15:28Speaker 1: That's what I was sort of getting out with just
- 15:29Speaker 1: watching the practice. It's just there's a timing and a rhythm,
- 15:33Speaker 1: and lack of timing doesn't mean you're always holding onto
- 15:35Speaker 1: the ball like you're saying.
- 15:36Speaker 2: It's just are you Are you just like scatters? Are
- 15:39Speaker 2: you just getting rid of the ball? Quick check down, Charlie?
- 15:41Speaker 1: You know, like you wrote three point five yards pretend
- 15:44Speaker 1: extremely low? Is it because you feel like that's what
- 15:48Speaker 1: you have to do instead of.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Letting the game come to you. So there's probably a
- 15:53Speaker 2: lot going on in his head.
- 15:54Speaker 1: It's the first time he's run this offense, so I'm
- 15:56Speaker 1: sure that they understand that as well. But again, the
- 15:59Speaker 1: other and the only reason why this is a conversation
- 16:01Speaker 1: is because he's sharing reps and theoretically competing for this
- 16:06Speaker 1: job as opposed to just learning this offense as the
- 16:09Speaker 1: backup quarterback.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Right, I mean, either way, it's not going to be
- 16:13Speaker 3: tenable for potentially either McKee or or Andy Dalton to
- 16:18Speaker 3: be even on the roster next year, Like that may
- 16:20Speaker 3: not even be a thing. So that that's under consideration
- 16:24Speaker 3: that I think we can gloss over, but Peyton could
- 16:27Speaker 3: be that guy. We'll have to see. We really like
- 16:30Speaker 3: Peayton moved and I thought he did a pretty good
- 16:33Speaker 3: job commanding the offense.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I do.
- 16:35Speaker 1: When I watch him in training camp, I see so
- 16:37Speaker 1: much like energy and athleticism and some good throws too,
- 16:41Speaker 1: but also like you also see the when you see
- 16:44Speaker 1: him in multiple reps over a time. The downside that
- 16:46Speaker 1: the technique's work.
- 16:49Speaker 2: He's a real work in progress.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that, that's for sure, but maybe this
- 16:52Speaker 3: buys some time to develop him, depending on even if
- 16:55Speaker 3: he makes the roster. I mean, we'll see what happens.
- 16:58Speaker 3: It's just a very uncertain key b room. After hers,
- 17:01Speaker 3: there's a very uncertain qv room.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Oh for sure. All right.
- 17:05Speaker 1: So the two guys other also on offense, and you
- 17:08Speaker 1: focused on Darius Cooper Eli Stowers to different receiver, a
- 17:12Speaker 1: tight end second year player, was undrafted and a second
- 17:16Speaker 1: round pick from this year's who's sort of struggling with
- 17:20Speaker 1: the physicality and the adjustment of the game. Go through
- 17:23Speaker 1: some of the underlying metrics here on Cooper and what
- 17:26Speaker 1: might stand out to you.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Yeah, so Cooper had two receptions on five targets for
- 17:30Speaker 3: twenty one yards, which is ten point five yards perception.
- 17:33Speaker 3: He also had that kind of bad drop in the game.
- 17:37Speaker 3: He had three slot snaps, which I think is interesting,
- 17:40Speaker 3: and then fourteen wide snaps, So I just think the
- 17:42Speaker 3: split is kind of interesting about that eighteen to eighty
- 17:45Speaker 3: two percent eighteen percent in the slot, eighty two percent wide.
- 17:50Speaker 3: So I just think employing him was interesting to see
- 17:52Speaker 3: kind of how they did it. Obviously, again this is
- 17:55Speaker 3: not the starter, so if he does get playtime, it'll
- 17:58Speaker 3: be interesting where they put him. But I do think
- 18:01Speaker 3: it's interesting that they have him, you know, moving around
- 18:03Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 18:04Speaker 1: That was what I also found really fascinating the inverse
- 18:07Speaker 1: of it, because last year when he did play, and
- 18:10Speaker 1: he only played in limited.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Doses, he was mostly used in the slot.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Obviously, at AJ Brown, you have Devonte Smith, you had
- 18:17Speaker 1: to figure out a way to get on the field.
- 18:19Speaker 2: He's a big, physical guy, so he's a natural X.
- 18:21Speaker 1: But they would put him in the slot, especially in
- 18:23Speaker 1: short yarded situations, to kind of use him as a
- 18:26Speaker 1: dirty work. I kind of Johnny Wilson wasn't there, so
- 18:29Speaker 1: Darius Cooper, you're the guy now, and he was up.
- 18:32Speaker 2: To the challenge.
- 18:32Speaker 1: He's a big, strong, physical guy. But here we are
- 18:35Speaker 1: now no AJ Brown, you know, need for a backup X.
- 18:40Speaker 1: And he gets fourteen of the seventeen steps.
- 18:42Speaker 3: On the outside, right, And I think that that's something
- 18:46Speaker 3: to watch a little bit. I definitely think, like you said,
- 18:50Speaker 3: it would make more sense to play him on the outside,
- 18:52Speaker 3: but his versatility would lend himself to hopefully more playing
- 18:56Speaker 3: time for him in production. And the last stat on here,
- 18:59Speaker 3: by the way, his yards per route run and that
- 19:02Speaker 3: it was one point twenty four, which just some context,
- 19:06Speaker 3: that was the twenty seventh tied for twenty seventh in
- 19:08Speaker 3: the NFL for wide receivers with five or more targets.
- 19:12Speaker 3: So again I can't really take that. It doesn't really
- 19:15Speaker 3: mean much in preseason with you know, the pleasure of
- 19:18Speaker 3: guys that are coming in and out, and that's why
- 19:20Speaker 3: I tried to create thresholds for it. But I mean
- 19:23Speaker 3: that's kind of where he stands.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Do you do you find it interesting that he played
- 19:28Speaker 1: seventeen snaps and got five targets. I mean, that's a
- 19:31Speaker 1: pretty high target share per snap, assuming that not even
- 19:35Speaker 1: all these were all these snaps passes, or these were
- 19:37Speaker 1: just his total snaps.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Those were just his total snaps.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Yeah, so, I mean you gotta assume there are a
- 19:42Speaker 1: few runs in there where there are no targets. So
- 19:44Speaker 1: five on seventeen is almost you know, thirty three percent, right,
- 19:47Speaker 1: I mean.
- 19:48Speaker 3: It really is. That's that's kind of crazy. Yeah, I
- 19:51Speaker 3: think that. I mean he's been pretty consistent throughout training camp,
- 19:56Speaker 3: and I think the quarterbacks trust him and obviously so,
- 20:00Speaker 3: and will be interesting to see what happens this week.
- 20:04Speaker 1: All right, Eli Stowers three receptions on three targets for
- 20:09Speaker 1: twelve yards.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Hey, that's good. He caught the ball.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Yeah, he caught only four yards per reception though, which
- 20:14Speaker 3: is not great. No, I know, but it is interesting.
- 20:18Speaker 3: They had him basically fifty to fifty for a slot
- 20:21Speaker 3: and in line based on I mean there's four slot snaps,
- 20:25Speaker 3: six in line snaps. I think it makes more sense
- 20:29Speaker 3: to play him in the slot just based on like
- 20:32Speaker 3: the physicality concerns you were saying before. But I mean,
- 20:35Speaker 3: to be a tight end you have to play in
- 20:37Speaker 3: line too. I mean, that's especially the way the Eagles
- 20:40Speaker 3: want to you know, run their offense. But I wouldn't
- 20:44Speaker 3: give up on this guy yet. I know a lot
- 20:47Speaker 3: of people are you know, there are valid concerns, but
- 20:51Speaker 3: give him some time to develop. I mean, there's no
- 20:53Speaker 3: need for him to start right away. I mean, that's
- 20:56Speaker 3: the luxury of re signing Goddard.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Nobody loves grilling more than me. Could be thirty degrees
- 21:01Speaker 1: and I'll be out there grilling burgers and steaks. But
- 21:04Speaker 1: the one thing that I really can't stand is losing
- 21:07Speaker 1: my fish and my veggies because they just can't grill
- 21:11Speaker 1: without falling through. That's why I've been using xclads.

- 24:21Speaker 2: True.
- 24:22Speaker 1: But I would say, and I know that you have
- 24:24Speaker 1: thought about this already, But I think tight end depth
- 24:27Speaker 1: is a concern for this team because God has history
- 24:29Speaker 1: of getting hurt right, and they don't have someone like
- 24:34Speaker 1: God Art. We'll have to see how his blocking. I mean,
- 24:38Speaker 1: we we're obviously not gonna see him the preseason, but
- 24:40Speaker 1: he fell off as a blocker. But let's assume he's
- 24:42Speaker 1: better than he was last year. They really don't have
- 24:45Speaker 1: a two way tight end. You know, they have Mont
- 24:48Speaker 1: who blocks, he's not a catching threat. They have Stours
- 24:50Speaker 1: who's a receiving threat, but he cannot block. Calcata receiving threat,
- 24:54Speaker 1: cannot block. Lot two can do both, but he's sort
- 24:57Speaker 1: of like not great at either. I mean, he's good,
- 25:00Speaker 1: he's a good blocker. I think that there's athleticism upside
- 25:03Speaker 1: in the past game, but it just hasn't yet manifested
- 25:06Speaker 1: in either practice or a game.
- 25:08Speaker 2: So if god or to get hurt, I.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Feel like there's a telegraphic element to who they're using
- 25:14Speaker 1: a tight end and what their offense is going to do.
- 25:16Speaker 3: That is very true, that that is a very fair point.
- 25:19Speaker 3: You'd have to replace, you know, Goddard's production in the
- 25:22Speaker 3: aggregate to some extent. But right as soon as you
- 25:26Speaker 3: have one of those guys on the field, you're like, Okay,
- 25:28Speaker 3: it's Calcatara, assuming he makes a team, we're gonna pass.
- 25:31Speaker 3: If Stowers are gonna pass month, we're gonna run.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Right right.
- 25:34Speaker 1: But even though to they drafted Stours knowing that if
- 25:38Speaker 1: they really need to address this situation, they'll have to
- 25:40Speaker 1: do it like a veteran addition or maybe a trade
- 25:44Speaker 1: or something like that.
- 25:44Speaker 3: And Munt is a guy that I guess you almost
- 25:47Speaker 3: assume is a roster lock at this point based on
- 25:50Speaker 3: not playing in the preseason. I mean, right, is that
- 25:52Speaker 3: that would be kind of I would?
- 25:54Speaker 1: I think, yeah, there are a little parallels at the
- 25:56Speaker 1: position right now, so I think it gives them a
- 25:58Speaker 1: way better chance to make the fifty three. Then try
- 26:01Speaker 1: to do the whole you know, you'll be on our
- 26:03Speaker 1: practice spot for three weeks, will elevate you, and then
- 26:05Speaker 1: we'll sign you.
- 26:06Speaker 2: I mean they're gonna need them.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so too, So we'll see.
- 26:10Speaker 2: But I never put anything past Howard Rosma though, so
- 26:12Speaker 2: we'll say you can't.
- 26:13Speaker 3: I mean, they can make a trade. Who knows, there's
- 26:15Speaker 3: a million that's my point, all right.
- 26:19Speaker 1: So let's the let's let's get the basic SATs on
- 26:21Speaker 1: the Eagles defense here.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean they had three sacks, two takeaways, but
- 26:26Speaker 3: Baltimore still completed thirty for thirty seven eighty one point
- 26:30Speaker 3: one percent. They reached the red zone four times, scored three,
- 26:35Speaker 3: and they had they allowed three or nine Baltimore drives
- 26:38Speaker 3: or at least thirty net yards or more. And again,
- 26:41Speaker 3: like the general takeaways that they have these splash plays,
- 26:44Speaker 3: but they couldn't consistently win and they couldn't get And
- 26:48Speaker 3: there is some blame to the fact that they had
- 26:50Speaker 3: to be on the field for forty minutes. Yeah, that's
- 26:53Speaker 3: a big part of it. But to the same extent,
- 26:56Speaker 3: like they didn't necessarily do the offense any favors either.
- 26:59Speaker 3: I put this way more on the offense than the defense.
- 27:02Speaker 3: But again they weren't doing themselves any favors.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Yeah, and again for perspective, this is this is the
- 27:08Speaker 1: backup defense, but it's actually like sort of the backup
- 27:11Speaker 1: backup defense because in the secondary, I think they've been
- 27:16Speaker 1: with they've been out. Jonathan Jones Mac McWilliams was a
- 27:20Speaker 1: little banged up with a groin. I think he played right.
- 27:22Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah he played, but somebody else didn't. Plouh
- 27:27Speaker 1: who was it in the secondary? Why am I forgetting
- 27:30Speaker 1: there was another corner?
- 27:31Speaker 2: I don't think castro Field's played if I'm mistaken, So
- 27:36Speaker 2: you know they're a little thin. They're thin.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Obviously Marcus Epstein play. So it was Carter, who actually
- 27:41Speaker 1: I thought did all right.
- 27:42Speaker 2: And then they were right onto like the udfa's and
- 27:45Speaker 2: Goo Chicken and and and Andre Sam and uh the
- 27:50Speaker 2: other guy Maximus Pulley.
- 27:51Speaker 1: So like this was it felt more like the third
- 27:53Speaker 1: string D except the fact that you had Trotter out
- 27:57Speaker 1: there and you had Jahat Campbell who actually had some
- 27:59Speaker 1: struggles VIC fans you have talked about that.
- 28:01Speaker 2: So he's just trying to get more work.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, so definitely worth saying.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Right, Oh yeah McWilliams to play you have that stuff. Okay,
- 28:08Speaker 1: So Robinson was a bright spot, you would say, right,
- 28:12Speaker 1: I was.
- 28:12Speaker 2: It's important. This is big, by the way, this is
- 28:14Speaker 2: not a little thing. Go ahead.
- 28:16Speaker 3: I mean, you know, I was a big fan when
- 28:18Speaker 3: they drafted Ty Robinson. I think he was in the
- 28:20Speaker 3: gems category or at least one of the uh, you know,
- 28:25Speaker 3: high potential guys. He might have been in the gems. Yeah,
- 28:28Speaker 3: I don't think he was like a top prospect, but
- 28:30Speaker 3: he was like a hidden gem. But he out of
- 28:34Speaker 3: his thirty three pass rushes, he had three pressures, which
- 28:36Speaker 3: is one pressure per like on the eleven rushes, like
- 28:39Speaker 3: every eleven you could get a pressure, which he had.
- 28:42Speaker 3: He had everyone he had a hit, a hurry, and
- 28:45Speaker 3: a sack. And then his win rate was six point
- 28:48Speaker 3: seven percent, which is actually not great.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Right, although isn't it usually a little lower for interior
- 28:54Speaker 1: alignment and saying, ah.
- 28:56Speaker 3: That's low, he still won it like for like, especially
- 29:01Speaker 3: against backups, you kind of won it around eight to
- 29:03Speaker 3: ten percent typically be like a good interior defensive player,
- 29:08Speaker 3: I would say. But again, six point seven is probably
- 29:11Speaker 3: like replacement level. So it's like it's good if he
- 29:15Speaker 3: did that against starters, that that would be okay, nothing
- 29:19Speaker 3: too crazy though.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I think Vic Fangio summed it up best where he
- 29:22Speaker 1: said he showed signs of life. Okay, he said something
- 29:25Speaker 1: about he was on life support or he showed signs
- 29:27Speaker 1: of life.
- 29:28Speaker 3: So I remember saying that.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Good.
- 29:30Speaker 1: That's good, and it'll probably be a fun little war
- 29:33Speaker 1: in the front uncut down day if he doesn't perform
- 29:35Speaker 1: much better between Howie and Robbins, because there's no way
- 29:38Speaker 1: how he's.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Cutting him, not cutting a year two player. But Vic
- 29:42Speaker 2: will be like, fine, but I'm not playing him right,
- 29:44Speaker 2: and that'll be fun.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Yeah, go ahead, I was gonna say, I hope he
- 29:49Speaker 3: develops a little bit more and gets another chance.
- 29:52Speaker 2: These will be some big games coming up for him
- 29:54Speaker 2: in the preseason to see that. Yeah, Trodder Jr.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean listen when you hear Vict talk about
- 30:00Speaker 1: Campbell trying to make up for lost time and struggling,
- 30:03Speaker 1: and you see what trod Or Junior does literally every
- 30:05Speaker 1: time he's out there.
- 30:06Speaker 2: It's makes you wonder what's going on in Vic's head there.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, look you look at his production. I
- 30:13Speaker 3: think he led the team in defensive stops. He had
- 30:15Speaker 3: three defensive stops and remember what that is. It's when
- 30:19Speaker 3: it's what a PFF calls it, what constitutes an offensive failure.
- 30:22Speaker 3: It's really just any play that results in negative EPA.
- 30:26Speaker 3: So like any play that does not put the offense
- 30:29Speaker 3: in a better position to score, whether that be a
- 30:31Speaker 3: tackle for a loss or a tackle on third down
- 30:35Speaker 3: where they don't get the conversion. That's typically what you
- 30:38Speaker 3: see for a stop. And he led the team with
- 30:40Speaker 3: three defensive stops. He missed zero percent of the tackles.
- 30:44Speaker 3: He only had four tackles, but he played thirty seven
- 30:46Speaker 3: snaps and the snaps were allocated as twelve run defense,
- 30:52Speaker 3: five pass rush, and twenty coverage snaps. And on his
- 30:55Speaker 3: pass rush he had one sack and at twenty percent
- 30:58Speaker 3: win rate. Again, that twenty percent, you can't extrapolate. It's
- 31:02Speaker 3: only five snaps, so I wouldn't extrapolate that at all.
- 31:06Speaker 3: But that would be phenomenal if you could keep that up.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, So what I was going to ask you,
- 31:12Speaker 1: you know me, what I was gonna say, what do
- 31:14Speaker 1: you think to me?
- 31:16Speaker 2: Knowing how I think about things? Would be the most interesting.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Stat most interesting on here from Trotter Junior. Maybe the
- 31:28Speaker 3: mistackle ry no.
- 31:30Speaker 1: It's it's the sack that you were just referring to
- 31:33Speaker 1: the five pass rushes from an off ball linebacker position,
- 31:38Speaker 1: because this was what Nikoby dean, This was what made
- 31:43Speaker 1: him so critical the defense last year. He was the
- 31:46Speaker 1: fourth rusher in a four man sim pressure where a
- 31:50Speaker 1: linebacker blitz is in a D lineman drops right and
- 31:54Speaker 1: Nikobe was so good at it. And you're seeing Trotter.
- 31:57Speaker 1: I've seen it in practice. He's getting opportunities to do that.
- 32:01Speaker 1: And if VIC sees some of that in uh In
- 32:04Speaker 1: Trotter and na Kobe, he might be figuring out ways
- 32:08Speaker 1: that he's gonna get Trotter on the field.
- 32:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:10Speaker 2: I think it's really interesting.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I definitely should have known that it is interesting.
- 32:14Speaker 3: And again that's that's a hard player to replace. I
- 32:18Speaker 3: definitely think so so that that could be interesting. I
- 32:21Speaker 3: didn't really think about it that way, but I like that.
- 32:23Speaker 3: I like that quite a bit.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Yep, mac mcgwaves to play. I think he was dealing
- 32:27Speaker 1: with a groin. I don't know if that like impacted
- 32:29Speaker 1: him much. He's had some pretty good moments on camp,
- 32:32Speaker 1: but does feel like they were they were going after
- 32:34Speaker 1: him a little?
- 32:35Speaker 3: Yeah? They I mean they did. They he had four targets.
- 32:39Speaker 3: All four were receptions for thirty seven yards. You know,
- 32:43Speaker 3: the Official Game book had him at ten tackles, which
- 32:45Speaker 3: is when you see a defensive back at ten tackles,
- 32:50Speaker 3: you don't feel great about that. Typically that's not the
- 32:52Speaker 3: first I mean, unless he's played a lot of run supports.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Like Nickam and Worri in the Seattle Seattle defense coming
- 32:58Speaker 1: up in the line.
- 32:59Speaker 3: Yeah, so, I mean that never feels good. I mean
- 33:02Speaker 3: PFF only had him at six, so I'm not really
- 33:04Speaker 3: sure the discrepancy, but I just think it's worth mentioning both.
- 33:08Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean he was tested. He didn't look awful,
- 33:11Speaker 3: but it wasn't the best performance, I'd say.
- 33:15Speaker 2: All right. And then eight point three coverage snaps per target?
- 33:19Speaker 3: Yes?
- 33:21Speaker 2: Is that that is eight point three? What does that
- 33:24Speaker 2: mean specifically?
- 33:26Speaker 3: Yeah, so it took eight point three covered snaps each
- 33:29Speaker 3: time he was targeted.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Essentially, Oh okay, gotcha.
- 33:31Speaker 3: Like the inverse I think would be easier to understand
- 33:34Speaker 3: it was one target per eight point three, But the
- 33:36Speaker 3: way it was written on the PFF status, I try
- 33:39Speaker 3: to keep it true to it, but that's essentially what
- 33:41Speaker 3: it means.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Got it, and then of course you the fa Maximus Pulley.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Is he the one from Wafford. I think he's from Wawford.
- 33:50Speaker 3: You gotta you gotta throw out some fun names sometimes.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, I think it's interest. So he
- 33:55Speaker 2: played how many how many snaps do you wind up playing?
- 33:59Speaker 2: Do you have that there?
- 33:59Speaker 3: I played thirteen thirteen?
- 34:01Speaker 1: Okay, so thirteen snaps, one reception for eleven yards, one tackle,
- 34:07Speaker 1: one defensive staff man.
- 34:09Speaker 2: So it seems like he's you know, this is vic.
- 34:11Speaker 1: He wants his two deep safeties and he's willing to
- 34:14Speaker 1: have one post and you know, post snap, bring one
- 34:16Speaker 1: in into the box.
- 34:18Speaker 2: But Pully is an interesting guy.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so too. Definitely just worth throwing in here,
- 34:24Speaker 3: and we'll see how he continues to play.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I think this game against the Patriots wi pretty
- 34:29Speaker 2: ptty pretty big for him too.
- 34:30Speaker 1: We'll get into that really quickly too, with some Patriots stuff.
- 34:33Speaker 1: We want anybody think that we're gonna ignore that. So
- 34:36Speaker 1: this is the Patriots first game. They played the Colts
- 34:39Speaker 1: in the preseason opener, and.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Yeah, the funnel tie.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Yeah yeh. Play is pretty pretty.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Consistent, definitely, although they were completely outproduced in yards and
- 34:54Speaker 3: all the you know, relative statistics of yards yards were
- 34:57Speaker 3: pass yards per rush. They really struggle rushing the ball.
- 35:01Speaker 3: I mean, two point six guards per rush is not
- 35:04Speaker 3: not good at all.
- 35:05Speaker 1: No all reports and I don't I know, he didn't
- 35:08Speaker 1: play in the I don't think he played the preseason.
- 35:10Speaker 2: I didn't check.
- 35:11Speaker 1: But Travion Henderson has really been struggling, yeah for them,
- 35:15Speaker 1: and it sounds like vermondre Stevenson is gonna once again
- 35:18Speaker 1: be their lead back. And I mean this guy, this
- 35:20Speaker 1: guy who I really like, romondro Stevenson, but he funnels
- 35:23Speaker 1: the ball.
- 35:24Speaker 2: So much for a guy who's been a lead back,
- 35:27Speaker 2: and yet he still keeps on holding on to it.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Yeah that I mean, who knows how much longer they
- 35:33Speaker 3: have of the ramondre Stevenson experience. That is a shame
- 35:36Speaker 3: to hear about Travion Henderson because I thought he looked
- 35:38Speaker 3: really good coming out of college. Unfortunately we saw him
- 35:41Speaker 3: quite a bit, you know, when he was at Ohio State.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, yeah.
- 35:48Speaker 3: I mean that that is that is something to watch
- 35:50Speaker 3: for sure.
- 35:51Speaker 1: All Right, some Eagles keys to success against the Patriots.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Yeah, So I think the first thing is established conventional
- 35:57Speaker 3: rushing efficiency I mean, they did allow four point nine
- 36:01Speaker 3: yards per rush, and again the Eagles running backs only
- 36:06Speaker 3: had two point eight yards per carry, but if you
- 36:10Speaker 3: looked at the statistics, it was five point four total
- 36:13Speaker 3: because a lot of that came from Cole Payton. But
- 36:17Speaker 3: I think that it should be interesting to see how
- 36:20Speaker 3: that backup offensive line and the Eagles back up running backs,
- 36:23Speaker 3: you know, play in that context. I think running the
- 36:27Speaker 3: ball and you know, getting ahead of the chains is
- 36:30Speaker 3: something that could lead to success. Again, it's weird because
- 36:33Speaker 3: it's preseason and the score doesn't necessarily matter, but there's
- 36:36Speaker 3: certain things you want to see, and I think one
- 36:38Speaker 3: of the things I would really like to see is then,
- 36:40Speaker 3: you know, consistently run the ball for positive gains.
- 36:44Speaker 1: That Shipley especially, I mean, can you know he's the
- 36:48Speaker 1: third back you want, He's the juicy He's got some
- 36:50Speaker 1: juicy pass catching skills, and you would like to see
- 36:52Speaker 1: him combine that with some juicy running skills and just
- 36:56Speaker 1: you know, start to move the change for them.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and to that same you know, convert third downs
- 37:01Speaker 3: and maintain time of position. Yeah, the Pats were really
- 37:05Speaker 3: good on third down defense. They were they allowed one
- 37:09Speaker 3: out of eight and Obviously, as we talked about, the
- 37:11Speaker 3: Eagles were bad at it. So to me, this is
- 37:13Speaker 3: a really good litmus test for just the offense in general,
- 37:15Speaker 3: regardless of who's playing it, just to see, you know,
- 37:18Speaker 3: this is a team that did very well on third
- 37:21Speaker 3: down against the Colts. So I really am interested to
- 37:25Speaker 3: see how the Eagles offense performs, especially with the feedback
- 37:29Speaker 3: that they got last week with the zero for nine.
- 37:31Speaker 3: So that's that's something that maybe the keys to success
- 37:34Speaker 3: is not this is things I want to see, but
- 37:36Speaker 3: if it goes the way that I'm hoping it goes,
- 37:38Speaker 3: it would be a key to success.
- 37:40Speaker 1: This sort of is setting up just based on these
- 37:43Speaker 1: how well the Patriots were on third down and how
- 37:46Speaker 1: bad the Eagles were in the opener to be like
- 37:49Speaker 1: that ugly game between the Browns and the Eagles.
- 37:51Speaker 2: From like four, You remember how bad it was. There's
- 37:53Speaker 2: like a three to nothing game.
- 37:54Speaker 3: I don't know it was, it was bad.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I tried to like completely like delete it from my memory.
- 37:59Speaker 1: But there was Awn's Eagles preseason game a couple of
- 38:02Speaker 1: years ago that might have been the ugliest, most just
- 38:06Speaker 1: like molasses type of you know, flow to the game
- 38:10Speaker 1: that you've ever seen. And hopefully these stats that we're
- 38:13Speaker 1: showing from the opener, don't you know, portend.
- 38:17Speaker 2: That kind of game coming up.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I certainly hope not for sure, but yeah, that's
- 38:24Speaker 3: that's another big thing. And then i'd say protecting the football.
- 38:27Speaker 3: I think both teams, you know, got turnovers, the Patriots
- 38:30Speaker 3: getting four is something that's interesting, especially how we open
- 38:35Speaker 3: this discussion about how what is is it okay for
- 38:38Speaker 3: quarterbacks to throw turn throw interceptions? So I think that
- 38:42Speaker 3: is interesting, and I'd like to see the Eagles not
- 38:45Speaker 3: commit turnovers and or if they do, you know, make
- 38:48Speaker 3: reasonable you know throws and you know, and those interceptions
- 38:53Speaker 3: that bounce off the receiver's hands rather than you know,
- 38:55Speaker 3: an awfully thrown ball. Sure, again, the turnover avoidance was
- 38:59Speaker 3: one of the good things that we saw from the offense.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Awesome. And then last binalist.
- 39:06Speaker 3: Stopped committing penalties.
- 39:07Speaker 1: And I wanted you to say, because people are probably
- 39:11Speaker 1: tired of me saying it. So as I've gotten older,
- 39:13Speaker 1: I've really tried to concentrate on my physical health, my body,
- 39:17Speaker 1: making sure I'm putting the right things in and the
- 39:20Speaker 1: healthiest things in. I've always heard about creatine, but I
- 39:23Speaker 1: wasn't really sure about using creatine supplements until I did
- 39:27Speaker 1: the research to find out what it was really all about.
- 39:30Speaker 1: That's when I found Momentous, which created Signature spec Creatine,

- 41:42Speaker 3: I think that's more palatable than it's like past interference
- 41:46Speaker 3: or other things like that, like make don't give up
- 41:49Speaker 3: yards for penalties, Like the thing is ten penalties for
- 41:52Speaker 3: ninety six yards. You basically gave them a score.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you say one hundred yards is a touchdown, right,
- 41:57Speaker 1: So yeah.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred I agree, I agree.

- 42:16Speaker 1: we'll have a little preview of the third and final
- 42:19Speaker 1: preseason game against the Bengals, and then after that it'll
- 42:22Speaker 1: be cut down Day, Labor Day and all that, and
- 42:24Speaker 1: maybe we'll come back with what we do everything every year,
- 42:27Speaker 1: like we have maybe something about the age of the
- 42:30Speaker 1: roster after cutdown Day, what it looks like, how that
- 42:32Speaker 1: compares to the rest of the league, and all that
- 42:34Speaker 1: other good stuff. So a lots coming up on inside
