Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome back, everyone. I am Chris Farah, and you are
- 0:08Speaker 1: listening to Vanity Fair or watching on my YouTube as
- 0:11Speaker 1: we pick up our discussion of 90 Day Fiancé, of course,
- 0:14Speaker 1: season 12, episode 20. This is the tell-all part two,
- 0:17Speaker 1: my part two, with my best friend and yours, Maddie
- 0:20Speaker 1: Mar of Reality Gaze. Hi.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Chris Farah, I love you so much. I don't know
- 0:25Speaker 2: if it's good or not healthy that every time I
- 0:28Speaker 2: hear your voice, I want a glass of really good wine.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Oh, that means a lot. I had a friend once
- 0:36Speaker 1: tell me that every time they heard my voice, they
- 0:38Speaker 1: had to go to the bathroom.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Okay. I don't know how to take that one.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I was like, so I'm like comforting or a sort
- 0:50Speaker 1: of release for you.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Or you give people the shits.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Fight or flight. You're so scared. Yeah. But I'm
- 1:00Speaker 1: also glad to keep you regular. So....
- 1:05Speaker 2: Whatever it is.
- 1:05Speaker 1: I'm like, listen, it should be like Jamie Lee Curtis
- 1:09Speaker 1: should do commercials, like advertising how great I am in
- 1:13Speaker 1: her life. Like ensure, you know. Yeah. She calls me
- 1:17Speaker 1: every morning.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Every morning.
- 1:21Speaker 1: All right, my loves. Listen, this is where we exactly
- 1:24Speaker 1: where we are at.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:26Speaker 1: They've already done the first day of filming, honey, and
- 1:29Speaker 1: they are getting their jollies ready. Yes. They are knocking
- 1:34Speaker 1: them back, honey, at the hotel bar that TLC has
- 1:37Speaker 1: set them all up at so they can just stumble
- 1:40Speaker 1: down to their very tiny dorm-like, almost like they're on
- 1:44Speaker 1: a cruise-style small-ass.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Rooms, right?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. Where's the porthole?
- 1:51Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Now... As I've mentioned, they have their splintered groups and
- 1:58Speaker 1: they seem to arrive at the hotel like at vastly
- 2:02Speaker 1: different times. So at some points I'm like, are they
- 2:04Speaker 1: staggered even more? Like is someone being like, you guys
- 2:07Speaker 1: can't go up yet. The first round is like getting acclimated.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I don't know. Cause it feels like they really do
- 2:12Speaker 1: arrive like 20 minutes late. And like, did one of
- 2:15Speaker 1: them take a different route in New York? Like was like,
- 2:17Speaker 1: I'll take seventh. We'll see who gets there first. And
- 2:20Speaker 1: one person really fucking lost.
- 2:22Speaker 2: You're like, I took the wrong train. I was up,
- 2:24Speaker 2: you know. I was in Flushing.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Are you with the nanny?
- 2:28Speaker 2: Are you.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Fran Vine? She was working up in Flushing and crushing queens.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, right? I've been watching the US Open, so the tennis,
- 2:39Speaker 2: so I think Flushing's just on the back of my mind.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Oh, okay. I wish that I just didn't have.
- 2:44Speaker 2: That was a less gay reason.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I know. Also, yeah, much... Yeah, very modern.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Certainly not.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Someone who's stuck in the goddamn.
- 2:53Speaker 2: 90s with all their pop culture references. No, I should
- 2:56Speaker 2: be shamed because as a homosexual man that was in
- 3:01Speaker 2: middle school in the 90s, when I hear the word
- 3:04Speaker 2: Flushing Queens, the nanny needs to be the first thought.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Never again. Never again will the U.S. Open take precedence.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Sports is for straight young men.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Yes. Are very strong lesbian women.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Oh, absolutely. Yeah, I don't mean to be– that sounded
- 3:28Speaker 1: so gendered. Well, you know, I'm joking anyway. Okay, so
- 3:32Speaker 1: let me tell you. So God bless. As we know,
- 3:35Speaker 1: Thomas and Paola had had a conversation where Paola was like,
- 3:38Speaker 1: please be fucking normal. Please, please, please. let me just
- 3:40Speaker 1: have these friends, please. I have no friends. You're so
- 3:43Speaker 1: weird sometimes. I just want to like, have a good night.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I want to hang out and have fun. I don't
- 3:46Speaker 1: want to have Mallory, who I like. Be weird to
- 3:48Speaker 1: me because you're being weird to her. Honestly, fucked up
- 3:51Speaker 1: asshole husband. But like, it's just, can you be chill?
- 3:56Speaker 1: And Thomas is like, fine. So while that's happening, Katie
- 4:00Speaker 1: has also entered with Shay, Annabelle, Josh, right? Marissa and Edward. Now,
- 4:06Speaker 1: we all know that she has been put to task
- 4:10Speaker 1: for drinking in a way that feels like people still
- 4:14Speaker 1: are dancing around the idea of asking her if she
- 4:17Speaker 1: thinks she's an alcoholic. That's the question where I'm like,
- 4:20Speaker 1: how come no one's been like, babe, do you think
- 4:22Speaker 1: that you have a problem with alcohol? And do you think,
- 4:25Speaker 1: do you want to change that? But instead they're kind
- 4:28Speaker 1: of like, don't drink or just drink whatever you want.
- 4:30Speaker 1: And it's hard because as a woman, you have to
- 4:33Speaker 1: have like, you know, the space for people, you know,
- 4:37Speaker 1: to treat women like accountable, full functioning adults. But Katie
- 4:42Speaker 1: isn't that kind of person. And at the same time,
- 4:45Speaker 1: people don't want to like overstep, but also she acts
- 4:48Speaker 1: like a child. So it's a very kind of like
- 4:50Speaker 1: weird situation where people don't know how to deal with it.
- 4:53Speaker 1: She gets to the bar and she's like, who wants
- 4:56Speaker 1: shots now?
- 4:57Speaker 2: Shay is like, Hey, someone say my go word.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Do deers have heads for me to take? Yeah, you know,
- 5:08Speaker 1: he's like, yes, I do. So she does a shot,
- 5:13Speaker 1: and then she does the thing that we know that
- 5:15Speaker 1: she is going to probably also want, which is a
- 5:17Speaker 1: drink to actual drink.
- 5:19Speaker 2: She looks so dumb sitting there with that lime just
- 5:22Speaker 2: in her mouth going, just kind of staring at everybody.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Yes. While that's happening, Marissa, you can feel, is in
- 5:32Speaker 1: her mind just like, these fucking... trash people. Like Marissa
- 5:38Speaker 1: has an idea of like, okay, well, why don't we
- 5:41Speaker 1: all go look at the famous New York store, like
- 5:43Speaker 1: New York skyline that you podunk people never see, but
- 5:46Speaker 1: I live and you know.
- 5:48Speaker 2: She's just, yeah. She's thinking, Oh God, my mother's going
- 5:51Speaker 2: to watch this. Uh-huh. And then she's going to berate
- 5:55Speaker 2: me while she, while my mother drinks Sauvignon Blanc. Let's
- 5:59Speaker 2: be honest. Probably. I feel like she likes a white Bordeaux. Yeah.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to think like, I'm not.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Mad at a white Bordeaux. Maybe Chablis. It's probably fancy
- 6:10Speaker 2: wine that's not– I don't know. Maybe she's got a
- 6:12Speaker 2: good wine taste.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Maybe she has a younger, you know, like, wine member
- 6:19Speaker 1: club situation that she's getting Sancerre.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Like, you know, like– I'm not mad at a Sancerre.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Yeah, boutique Sancerre.
- 6:27Speaker 2: But it's always a white, don't you think?
- 6:29Speaker 1: Oh! Yeah, no. I mean, and I mean that in
- 6:32Speaker 1: a bunch of ways.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:38Speaker 1: That's why she's, you know.
- 6:40Speaker 2: The why is the metaphor. Yeah, let's go.
- 6:44Speaker 1: So, obviously, while that's happening, Mallory and Rosh have had,
- 6:52Speaker 1: you know, a sit-down with Thomas and Paola where it
- 6:55Speaker 1: was like Rosh didn't fucking– apologize for his asshole prank
- 7:00Speaker 1: that like made Thomas have to stand up for himself.
- 7:02Speaker 1: And then he overdid that to the community that makes
- 7:06Speaker 1: Thomas look weird, even though it's like a fucked up
- 7:09Speaker 1: situation to just rub your shitty. I mean, to, to
- 7:14Speaker 1: make someone's life intentionally bad is a weird move for
- 7:19Speaker 1: an adult period.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Especially when you, you first meet them. Remember they don't
- 7:25Speaker 2: have in, it's not like they are, Palling around and
- 7:29Speaker 2: they have this relationship. They've been friends for a while. No,
- 7:32Speaker 2: you just met the guy. Yeah. But you already don't
- 7:36Speaker 2: like the guy.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:37Speaker 2: And you already want to like emasculate him and say
- 7:42Speaker 2: things like he's not, you say things like he's not
- 7:44Speaker 2: a real man and all that kind of just toxic
- 7:47Speaker 2: heteronormativity bullshit. And so it's, yeah, I just, you know,
- 7:56Speaker 2: I call it bullying.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Thomas did not call it bullying. He even made a
- 8:00Speaker 2: point to say in the interview, like, you know, you
- 8:02Speaker 2: called it bullying, but so he talks about it, but yeah, I, um, yeah, man,
- 8:08Speaker 2: what we really love this guy, Rosh. I mean, yeah.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I know.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Thomas apologized as you brought up very, he did not
- 8:21Speaker 2: want to apologize, but he just did it for the
- 8:23Speaker 2: good of But the good of the community.
- 8:28Speaker 1: And then Raj was like, I could tell he wasn't sincere.
- 8:30Speaker 1: He just apologized because Paula made him. It's like, well,
- 8:32Speaker 1: you didn't fucking apologize, period, asshole. Yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I think Mallory and Raj are going to have a
- 8:38Speaker 2: tough marriage, actually. We didn't really see it as, again,
- 8:41Speaker 2: I think.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I know.
- 8:42Speaker 2: But now that you see them both, I went, oh,
- 8:44Speaker 2: you both are stubborn as hell. Really stubborn. And we're
- 8:48Speaker 2: going to talk about her and her secrets. Yes.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Which is why, I guess I was like, why this?
- 8:54Speaker 1: Couldn't we have seen some of that? Like that must
- 8:57Speaker 1: have reared its head. Like there's just no way.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Were they performing for the cameras? Were they showing the
- 9:03Speaker 2: good side of themselves on camera? And then in real life,
- 9:06Speaker 2: they're both just like all about, it feels like Raj
- 9:12Speaker 2: and Mallory are people who don't want to get it right.
- 9:14Speaker 2: They want to be right.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Yeah. That's wow. That is, that's really, really mature.
- 9:20Speaker 2: It's really, really deep. Brene Brown said that, not me. Wow.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Never mind.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Well, never mind.
- 9:33Speaker 2: You're nothing.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I'll get Brene. Maybe she can do part three. She'll
- 9:36Speaker 1: talk to me about these people. No, I just love you. Okay.
- 9:39Speaker 1: So at this point, we have a really, really sad
- 9:42Speaker 1: part of this story. Like, this is really fucking sad.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Edward wants babies.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:50Speaker 1: And Marissa is a controlling person. And she certainly doesn't
- 9:55Speaker 1: want to hold them in her body anymore. And she...
- 10:00Speaker 1: wants her money for whatever she wants her money for,
- 10:03Speaker 1: you know, which is– her business, but it's also interesting
- 10:06Speaker 1: because we're supposed to believe that she's also really, really rich.
- 10:09Speaker 1: But sometimes we're also like, are you though? Because like,
- 10:11Speaker 1: why are you literally like, why are you teaching bar? Like,
- 10:15Speaker 1: why are you, why, you know, so many, and then
- 10:18Speaker 1: also why don't you have like any serving where like,
- 10:20Speaker 1: you know, like, how do you, how, like, and so
- 10:28Speaker 1: we obviously know, we talked about the fact that in
- 10:30Speaker 1: part one, Edward is having a bad relationship with Michael,
- 10:34Speaker 1: who is, of course, Marissa's ex, who looks great with
- 10:38Speaker 1: a hat on, horrible without. And he is the baseball
- 10:43Speaker 1: coach of, I'm assuming, I think, I don't know if
- 10:46Speaker 1: it's Cole and Derek. I feel like it's Derek's, maybe,
- 10:48Speaker 1: the older child.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it wasn't clear.
- 10:52Speaker 1: And Edward is a baseball fanatic.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Yes, and he is from a country where baseball is,
- 11:00Speaker 2: it's the way, like, People from the Philippines can sing
- 11:03Speaker 2: when you're from the DR in baseball. It's like it's
- 11:06Speaker 2: ingrained in the culture, and there's so many professional baseball
- 11:09Speaker 2: players that are from the DR.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. So I guess at the same time, there are
- 11:16Speaker 1: certain protocols when it comes to– I'm assuming sports things.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Like having said this, I've never been in a sport,
- 11:23Speaker 1: but right– like– If you're in a play, if you
- 11:26Speaker 1: have a director, you're not supposed to give other actors notes.
- 11:29Speaker 1: That's like a thing. You let the director do it.
- 11:31Speaker 1: It would be overstepping to watch them in a rehearsal
- 11:34Speaker 1: and be like, hey, I think you should move over there.
- 11:36Speaker 1: And you're not the director, right? The director would be like,
- 11:37Speaker 1: excuse me? Get the fuck out of here.
- 11:39Speaker 2: It's very different in sports. Okay.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Is it? Okay.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I can take it from growing up with it. Yeah.
- 11:43Speaker 2: My dad was a baseball coach.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Basically, that is what happened, though. It felt like. And
- 11:48Speaker 1: or maybe just off the sidelines, Edward was giving notes,
- 11:52Speaker 1: maybe came up on the field and said something, and Michael,
- 11:57Speaker 1: as a power play, took it to be really upsetting.
- 12:00Speaker 1: And then where Michael also is a fucking asshole, seemed
- 12:03Speaker 1: to lose his shit in front of the kids, which
- 12:05Speaker 1: is there's no reason to do that.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I mean, yeah.
- 12:08Speaker 1: It's so funny because that happens so much. It feels
- 12:10Speaker 1: like there's so many videos of people doing that. It's like,
- 12:14Speaker 1: what a great Testimony to someone isn't emotionally mature enough
- 12:19Speaker 1: to handle kids or whatnot if you can't handle your
- 12:26Speaker 1: reactions to such things. He should be immediately taken away
- 12:30Speaker 1: from a sports team if he can't just deal with
- 12:34Speaker 1: an adult coming up and giving a note. If that
- 12:37Speaker 1: is so hard for you to deal with, this is
- 12:38Speaker 1: not for you.
- 12:39Speaker 2: It's also a little different, too, in sports because parents...
- 12:46Speaker 2: I'm sure parents work with their kids on stuff at home.
- 12:49Speaker 2: When I would play sports, I'd have a coach. My
- 12:55Speaker 2: dad would never come out on the mound, but he
- 12:59Speaker 2: might say things like, when we're in the dugout, my
- 13:02Speaker 2: dad would come into the dugout and say, Matthew, remember
- 13:05Speaker 2: we talked about doing this and this. When you're out there,
- 13:07Speaker 2: be sure to be whatever baseball shit he told me.
- 13:13Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, daddy! But so like you– there's that.
- 13:17Speaker 2: And so there's– so I just want to say it's
- 13:19Speaker 2: like in– unless you have Mama Rose for a parent.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Like my parents never did anything like at home like
- 13:27Speaker 2: helping me practice theater except for maybe a line or two.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Like I don't think your dad was ever like, Chris,
- 13:34Speaker 2: I really want to work with you on that box
- 13:37Speaker 2: step you were doing. Maybe he did. No, he did not.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Maybe he would. But in sports, I feel like because–
- 13:44Speaker 2: the parents can get more involved in that and work
- 13:47Speaker 2: with their own practice of their kids with stuff like that. So,
- 13:52Speaker 2: and none of that matters because I do think, I
- 13:56Speaker 2: think this Michael guy is a fucking monster. I think
- 14:01Speaker 2: this guy's such an asshole and say what you want
- 14:05Speaker 2: about Marissa. She was horrible this season. And at least
- 14:09Speaker 2: I will say in these tell-alls, We'll see. But then
- 14:13Speaker 2: she says stuff like what she's going to do. But
- 14:14Speaker 2: she does seem to have a little bit of reflection
- 14:16Speaker 2: of like, ugh, that was a bad look for me.
- 14:19Speaker 2: We'll see if that actually changes. But I do feel
- 14:22Speaker 2: for her in the fact that I went, oh, man,
- 14:25Speaker 2: you spent years living with this motherfucker who fucking berate
- 14:30Speaker 2: you probably every single day. And that, to me, helps
- 14:35Speaker 2: me add up. Not as an excuse. Edward doesn't deserve it.
- 14:42Speaker 2: and I don't like how she treats him like an
- 14:44Speaker 2: island boy who's there to do housework. That is there.
- 14:48Speaker 2: But I think it definitely is informed by this immense
- 14:53Speaker 2: anxiety and just constant state of fear this woman lives in.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I wonder, the day that the divorce was finalized from Michael,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I cannot imagine the celebration that Joanne had. Like, I
- 15:11Speaker 1: can't imagine the magic that she drank.
- 15:14Speaker 2: No answer to shit for the first time in two years.
- 15:16Speaker 1: She called me.
- 15:16Speaker 2: That's a callback, everyone. Now that's a callback.
- 15:26Speaker 1: But yeah, like, she must have been so... Like, just
- 15:31Speaker 1: so fucking happy. Like, she must have hated him so much. Obviously,
- 15:34Speaker 1: he told us that they hated him. And they, yeah,
- 15:37Speaker 1: she must have been like, I cannot believe that my daughter...
- 15:40Speaker 1: you know, wanted to rebel so much that she married
- 15:42Speaker 1: this like poor ass working at class ass, like asshole,
- 15:45Speaker 1: you know, whatever. I don't think those people are assholes,
- 15:46Speaker 1: but this is Joanne talking, you know, like, you know,
- 15:51Speaker 1: mechanic hand, you know, whatever she wants to say. And
- 15:57Speaker 1: she probably was so disappointed and the resentment that he
- 16:03Speaker 1: must've felt against that, that probably did nothing for his ego.
- 16:05Speaker 1: That probably built so much toxic darkness. The minute, of course, that,
- 16:11Speaker 1: She was free from him. I mean, Joanne must have,
- 16:13Speaker 1: I feel like, must have run naked around the woods.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know what she did.
- 16:16Speaker 2: She might have had red wine for the first time
- 16:19Speaker 2: just to feel free.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Oh my God, yeah. The blood, the blood, the blood.
- 16:23Speaker 1: She was like... Okay, so God bless. Here we are. Edward, however,
- 16:30Speaker 1: is incredibly stuck in... Okay, Edward is stuck in a
- 16:34Speaker 1: corner because now he has a shitty relationship with Michael.
- 16:38Speaker 1: And so he can't... what he feels like give the
- 16:42Speaker 1: open hearted love and sort of like fatherly parent kind
- 16:45Speaker 1: of relationship that feels okay in his heart to these boys,
- 16:49Speaker 1: because there's this level of the, their actual father hates me.
- 16:53Speaker 1: And they, he got mad at me for giving notes
- 16:57Speaker 1: in a baseball setting. Like what, what are, what is
- 17:00Speaker 1: my ability and capability to like share this parentalness with this,
- 17:07Speaker 1: with these kids?
- 17:08Speaker 2: And it's not said, but we know it's there. And
- 17:12Speaker 2: Michael probably talks shit constantly about Edward to his sons
- 17:17Speaker 2: and pressures his sons to be assholes to him and
- 17:21Speaker 2: to not bond with him. So it is, I do
- 17:24Speaker 2: understand Edward's point where he wants to cut him out 100%.
- 17:29Speaker 2: That's not possible. But I understand why he's saying is
- 17:32Speaker 2: that Edward, I think Edward thought, I'm not going to
- 17:35Speaker 2: have children on my own, but there's these two young boys,
- 17:38Speaker 2: and I'm going to be like a good stepdad for them.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I'm really excited. And he's not able to even have
- 17:45Speaker 2: that chance because Michael's taking it away from him.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Yeah, he's poisoned his sons against him. Derek will just
- 17:51Speaker 1: be like, shut up. And unfortunately, Marissa has, unfortunately, not
- 17:57Speaker 1: the sensitivity– To hold space for that. And so when
- 18:06Speaker 1: she admits that that's what her son does to Edward sometimes,
- 18:10Speaker 1: I wish that someone, and maybe it almost feels like Aisha,
- 18:14Speaker 1: was like, what do you say to your son to
- 18:17Speaker 1: make sure that they don't disrespect him again?
- 18:19Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, what are you saying, Marissa? What
- 18:23Speaker 2: are you saying to your son? What are you saying
- 18:24Speaker 2: to Michael? Right. That.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Because unfortunately, these are your children. These are the men
- 18:33Speaker 1: that you brought in. And you have to help bridge
- 18:38Speaker 1: these moments. And you need to be able to right
- 18:42Speaker 1: a certain ship if you know that your shitty ex-husband
- 18:45Speaker 1: is poisoning your son's minds against Edward. And in your presence,
- 18:48Speaker 1: they seem to not want to respect this man who
- 18:52Speaker 1: you want to share a life with. You have to No,
- 18:55Speaker 1: he can't parent your kids. You have to. He can't
- 18:58Speaker 1: tell them, what do you mean, don't tell me to
- 19:00Speaker 1: shut up, you asshole. You can't be like, go sit
- 19:02Speaker 1: in your fucking room and there's no Roblox for you
- 19:04Speaker 1: or whatever the fuck it is. He can't do that.
- 19:06Speaker 2: You have to. You have to.
- 19:09Speaker 1: So he's crying. She feels really bad for him, although
- 19:12Speaker 1: she also doesn't want to have a child. She definitely
- 19:14Speaker 1: doesn't want to be like, you know what, I'll make
- 19:17Speaker 1: this happen. She's like, let's just talk about this later.
- 19:20Speaker 1: He's like, okay, but you know, I'm going to stay
- 19:22Speaker 1: out here. Meanwhile, Rosh and Mallory have been like somewhat
- 19:26Speaker 1: stuck in this frame and they didn't know how to
- 19:27Speaker 1: handle that conversation. So Rosh is like looking at his phone.
- 19:30Speaker 1: He's like, huh? He's like, can I leave? I'm cold.
- 19:33Speaker 1: They're like, yeah, you can leave. It must be awkward.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Mallory's like, so they do slink off. Katie's continuing to drink.
- 19:40Speaker 1: She now orders an espresso martini, which feels like a,
- 19:43Speaker 1: like she, the thing about Katie is that she'll drink whatever.
- 19:47Speaker 1: She's kind of like me. One time I used to–
- 19:50Speaker 1: I remember when I was really young, I would just
- 19:51Speaker 1: walk around and try and finish people's drinks. I was
- 19:53Speaker 1: really gross, whatever. But she's someone who will do that.
- 19:56Speaker 1: She's like the bucket at a wine tasting. Anyone can
- 20:00Speaker 1: throw it in, and she'll drink it down.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I think she will.
- 20:04Speaker 1: A spit bucket.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Which is probably somebody's kink. Do you like espresso martinis? I, I,
- 20:13Speaker 2: I have them infrequently. I do. Usually I'm having a
- 20:18Speaker 2: drink at night. And so to have an espresso martini
- 20:21Speaker 2: means I'm going to be up.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:24Speaker 2: And so then I'm having a drink and then I'm,
- 20:28Speaker 2: you know, then we'll have to take a trazzy when
- 20:30Speaker 2: I go to bed, a trazodone. And I normally don't
- 20:32Speaker 2: want to take any. I just, I normally have fine sleep.
- 20:34Speaker 2: It's like a whole thing. So now if it's like
- 20:38Speaker 2: maybe a midday morning, Sure. I like them when they're–
- 20:43Speaker 2: I like the ones that are very frothy and have
- 20:45Speaker 2: a little bit of foam on them. That's what they're
- 20:48Speaker 2: supposed to be. Well, but sometimes you get like it's
- 20:51Speaker 2: just like coffee vodka. You know what I mean? They
- 20:54Speaker 2: don't have the froth as much. But I like them.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I think they're good. Do you like them?
- 21:00Speaker 1: I also am the same. Like I can drink my espresso,
- 21:02Speaker 1: you know, pre, I would say– Usually like 11.30, I
- 21:07Speaker 1: try and, you know, keep it before then. And I
- 21:08Speaker 1: like it, you know, with milk. No, I don't do
- 21:11Speaker 1: alcohol mixed with that. But it's funny because Mito orders alcohol,
- 21:16Speaker 1: which I was like, okay. Oh, okay. You will drink alcohol.
- 21:20Speaker 1: It isn't no for sure. You know, if we were
- 21:21Speaker 1: just like following all the letters.
- 21:23Speaker 2: All the things are just the ones we want. Sure.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Because, you know, if he's a virgin, he was following
- 21:27Speaker 1: that one.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Yep.
- 21:29Speaker 1: So.
- 21:30Speaker 2: He's got to live in LA. That's one of the
- 21:32Speaker 2: rules too, right?
- 21:34Speaker 1: Well. Is alcohol a rule in LA?
- 21:37Speaker 2: You can do a lot. Now he's your neighbor.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Let's talk about that. I do want to talk about that.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Are they really moving to LA?
- 21:48Speaker 2: They're moving to West Hollywood.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I know, but really?
- 21:50Speaker 2: I don't know. When they filmed this tell-all, I don't
- 21:55Speaker 2: think that was decided.
- 21:57Speaker 1: She is so New Orleans. She loves New Orleans. I
- 22:03Speaker 1: just cannot imagine her saying yes to that.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I don't think they can afford to live in L.A.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Like she has a good job, but she probably doesn't
- 22:10Speaker 2: make a ton. And he's clearly not going to be working.
- 22:14Speaker 2: But but he probably tells her, look, we're going to
- 22:17Speaker 2: move to L.A. And within a month, I'm going to
- 22:19Speaker 2: be in a movie with Brad Pitt because that's how
- 22:21Speaker 2: it works.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I have someone like me who does have old references.
- 22:27Speaker 1: No one has older references than him.
- 22:29Speaker 2: No one. No one.
- 22:31Speaker 1: At this point, I mean, I think that Mito's probably
- 22:33Speaker 1: star meter is higher than Brad Pitt's. Okay, just kidding.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I'm dead. Okay, so, you know, as we know, she's drinking. Okay,
- 22:45Speaker 1: so Katie is drinking different things. She orders an espresso martini.
- 22:49Speaker 1: As I said, you know, whatnot, that's fine. Aisha clocks
- 22:53Speaker 1: her at this point. And, you know, Katie, I think,
- 22:56Speaker 1: hates that people are clocking her. At the same time, bitch,
- 22:59Speaker 1: you know. you're not invisible to be clocked.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, and also, you know, I brought up to, uh,
- 23:05Speaker 2: Katie is she's too, sorry. So I'm getting my lip
- 23:07Speaker 2: gloss out. Um, Katie, uh, is used to enablers. She's
- 23:14Speaker 2: used to her friends. Her like, Oh, Mike, she's going
- 23:18Speaker 2: to make out with somebody. She's used to that. And
- 23:20Speaker 2: now she's around people were like, like Allison said, like, oh,
- 23:25Speaker 2: I thought that was, I thought that was a thing.
- 23:27Speaker 2: I thought, but this is a thing. I thought she
- 23:30Speaker 2: was faking it. Like they're seeing, oh no, this is
- 23:33Speaker 2: not healthy behavior. And so that's why I think leads
- 23:35Speaker 2: to her breakdown because she's just being called out for
- 23:38Speaker 2: her ridiculous behavior.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Yeah. It's, it is like a narcissist. I mean, she's,
- 23:44Speaker 1: I don't know. God bless her.
- 23:45Speaker 2: I mean, addiction and narcissism or self-involvement go hand in hand.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Not that, And a lot of people that are in
- 23:51Speaker 2: addiction are very self-involved. That's just part of it. So,
- 23:55Speaker 2: I mean, she checks every single box of someone who
- 23:59Speaker 2: is an alcoholic.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Again, just... it's disgusting to have multiple kinds of alcohol.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Like it just is literally disgust. Like it's just a
- 24:13Speaker 1: disgusting thing, you know, like it's just, no, I just,
- 24:16Speaker 1: there's not a lot of people that can just be
- 24:18Speaker 1: like beer, wine, tequila, vodka. Like it's just, it's, that
- 24:23Speaker 1: is what's.
- 24:23Speaker 2: No, even in Palm Springs tonight, like I'm really torn
- 24:26Speaker 2: because I want to sit by that pool and I
- 24:29Speaker 2: want to maybe have like, I want to maybe start
- 24:31Speaker 2: with a couple of vodka spritzes and then I want
- 24:33Speaker 2: to move on, probably do a white wine. Cause we're
- 24:36Speaker 2: out in the sun.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Okay.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Good white. But after dinner tonight, we're going to a
- 24:42Speaker 2: tiki lounge. That's all like rum. And I'm like, what
- 24:49Speaker 2: do I do?
- 24:51Speaker 1: Well, first of all, you're talking over, I think, a
- 24:54Speaker 1: course of like eight hours.
- 24:56Speaker 2: This is true. This is true. This is true.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Yeah. It's just also like, There's no rhyme or reason.
- 25:01Speaker 1: She's ordering different drinks from the same bar, you know? Like,
- 25:05Speaker 1: it's just.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no rhyme.
- 25:06Speaker 1: You're going to different places. Yeah, I don't know. It's
- 25:08Speaker 1: just like, that's just interesting to me. I don't know.
- 25:11Speaker 1: That's weird. So then, of course, Allison comes, like you said,
- 25:13Speaker 1: and we're like, oh, are you going to be a shit-stirrer? But, like,
- 25:16Speaker 1: not really. She, like, comes in a modest mock-neck, you know, like,
- 25:19Speaker 1: turtleneck situation. I want to be like, do you come
- 25:23Speaker 1: to New York a lot? I feel like she wants
- 25:25Speaker 1: to have fun in New York. But she seems almost... Like,
- 25:28Speaker 1: she seems like the most mom... Tone down Allison we've
- 25:31Speaker 1: ever seen.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I'm calling it now. What? I said it on our show. Uh-huh.
- 25:35Speaker 2: And look, y'all. I make good predictions. I said Debbie
- 25:40Speaker 2: was going to be on The Single Life. It happened.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I said they need to make a 90-day Florida fuck-around
- 25:47Speaker 2: show with all the Florida cast members. It happened.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 25:50Speaker 2: I'm telling you now. Allison will be on The Single Life.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
- 25:55Speaker 2: I think she's good TV. And I think they're going
- 25:58Speaker 2: to have Allison and they can intermix it. With Shay
- 26:01Speaker 2: and Annabelle drama.
- 26:03Speaker 1: She lives right there. Same problem. Single life.
- 26:05Speaker 2: And I think she'd be great. I think she's going
- 26:07Speaker 2: to do single life. And then she's going to get
- 26:09Speaker 2: on Fuck for Love. Or Hunt for Love. It's a
- 26:13Speaker 2: whole thing, y'all.
- 26:15Speaker 1: The Fuck Fuck for Love. It's like the lesson I
- 26:21Speaker 1: had to learn is that you can't. Oh, boy. Okay,
- 26:26Speaker 1: so for some, like, the idea of Allison and Katie
- 26:29Speaker 1: together also is LOL because they are so vastly different
- 26:32Speaker 1: in their people. Katie's like, you're hot. And they are
- 26:36Speaker 1: both hot. But, like, Allison's like, oh, yeah, you're cute too.
- 26:40Speaker 2: You're cute too.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Love your hair. And Katie's like, you want to make out? Yeah,
- 26:48Speaker 1: Katie's ready to make out with Paula. She's kind of
- 26:49Speaker 1: ready to make out with Allison, you know, like. I mean,
- 26:54Speaker 1: I like the fact that she's bi. I know we
- 26:56Speaker 1: never talk about the fact that she's bi, though. And
- 26:57Speaker 1: I only want to say that because if her idea was,
- 27:02Speaker 1: I want to be able to make out because I
- 27:05Speaker 1: want to be able to experience different people and you
- 27:07Speaker 1: are just one person, Josh, I kind of wish she
- 27:09Speaker 1: would layer, and you're only a man. Because then it
- 27:12Speaker 1: would give me a little more juice to believe why
- 27:16Speaker 1: she feels like she needs to do this or express
- 27:19Speaker 1: this way, you know? Yeah.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I wish she would. Because did she ever say,
- 27:26Speaker 2: I'm bi?
- 27:28Speaker 1: No.
- 27:30Speaker 2: She never said it.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Or did she?
- 27:31Speaker 2: I don't know. No, I was genuinely asking. I don't know.
- 27:37Speaker 2: But clearly, she's something on the sexuality scale. Because I
- 27:42Speaker 2: also feel like that would, right now, she seems like, hey, Josh,
- 27:45Speaker 2: we just got married. We need to have an open
- 27:47Speaker 2: marriage because I want more dick. Yeah. And Josh is like,
- 27:51Speaker 2: wait a minute, but Katie, I've I can provide you
- 27:53Speaker 2: with dick or whatever, even though he's not, but it's
- 27:56Speaker 2: very different when, if it's, if someone's like, Hey, I'm
- 27:58Speaker 2: going to marry you. You're a man. And I, I
- 28:03Speaker 2: need to go. Like, I need, I need an intimate
- 28:06Speaker 2: relationship with a woman. Like I need tits and guys like,
- 28:11Speaker 2: got it. That's right. Not be that for you. I
- 28:15Speaker 2: think that would change the conversation a little bit. It's like,
- 28:18Speaker 2: so I wonder if they're part of it that way.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I wonder if that at all is it or if
- 28:21Speaker 1: it's not. Because the other side of it is no,
- 28:24Speaker 1: and it really is just like a need for attention.
- 28:28Speaker 1: And the dopamine hit of a flirt slash hunt slash
- 28:35Speaker 1: immediate get out.
- 28:36Speaker 2: She would make out with a gecko if it said
- 28:40Speaker 2: yes to her.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Well, I had to like, I mean, I couldn't, my
- 28:44Speaker 1: favorite part of the tell all, I had a lot
- 28:46Speaker 1: of favorite parts of the tell all part one. But
- 28:47Speaker 1: when she was like this part, I still have the pictures.
- 28:50Speaker 1: She's like, Thomas is gross. He's like old. I would
- 28:58Speaker 1: not make out with him. He's like a man child. Well,
- 29:03Speaker 1: I'd have to be shit faced. She switched. She is like,
- 29:06Speaker 1: I wouldn't. And we're going to see, I guess, in part,
- 29:08Speaker 1: the next part, her comfort Thomas. She was like, he's gross.
- 29:11Speaker 1: I would not do it. I would never make out
- 29:13Speaker 1: with him. I would have to be shit-faced to make
- 29:15Speaker 1: out with him, which we are like, oh, then you
- 29:18Speaker 1: are going to make out with him.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Because that's how you– Then you are because you're shit-faced. Yeah.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Like she wouldn't even make out with Thomas. So like, yeah,
- 29:23Speaker 1: it is that. And she knows it.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Okay. So they have like a little back and forth.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Allison obviously clocks Katie as being not for her, so
- 29:33Speaker 1: she tries to honestly leave her and then talk shit
- 29:35Speaker 1: about Katie to other people. She's like, that girl, like
- 29:36Speaker 1: you said. But her dad– because Shay's kind of there,
- 29:40Speaker 1: Shay has a poignant moment with Edward. Edward, having had
- 29:43Speaker 1: a conversation with Marissa about wanting to have kids and
- 29:46Speaker 1: how that's not really, you know, something that she's either
- 29:50Speaker 1: solving in the moment, nor is she even going to
- 29:53Speaker 1: give him like a respite for his interaction with Michael.
- 29:57Speaker 1: She's like, you're stupid for even bringing up the fact
- 29:59Speaker 1: that I, you know, can't talk to Michael. And it
- 30:01Speaker 1: is a little black and white. Like I said, he
- 30:04Speaker 1: can't truly ask her never to talk to Michael or
- 30:07Speaker 1: cut him out of her life, but whatever, you know, amount.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Of call him an idiot. And you don't have to
- 30:12Speaker 2: say like, that's where she gets. She, that's where she,
- 30:17Speaker 2: she is really, what couples don't understand is she is
- 30:24Speaker 2: really unaware and she's really bad at fighting. I think couples, couples, especially,
- 30:30Speaker 2: I remember most couples come to couples therapy too late,
- 30:33Speaker 2: but I always think like a good question to ask
- 30:36Speaker 2: someone when you're starting to get a little bit more,
- 30:39Speaker 2: not like the first date or anything. Maybe it's like,
- 30:41Speaker 2: you know, when you're like three or four months in
- 30:44Speaker 2: and you've, everything's great to be like, Hey, when you
- 30:48Speaker 2: get angry, in a relationship, how do you fight? Because
- 30:52Speaker 2: couples try, they're like, we want to try not to fight.
- 30:55Speaker 2: And I'm like, fights are going to happen. Disagreements. What
- 30:58Speaker 2: if you learn, how do we fight? Well, how do
- 31:00Speaker 2: we then communicate well in a fight? And he is
- 31:06Speaker 2: trying to do that with her and trying to change
- 31:08Speaker 2: and adapt, but she goes into this wounded child stuff.
- 31:12Speaker 2: If you're an idiot, you're stupid. You're into the name calling.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Cause once you get into name calling, In a disagreement,
- 31:19Speaker 2: you're done. Did her mom do that to her? 100%.
- 31:28Speaker 2: People only speak what they've heard. She has heard idiot
- 31:33Speaker 2: her whole life. No one comes up with that, especially
- 31:38Speaker 2: when you're angry. That's like that reptilian brain fires and
- 31:41Speaker 2: you kind of go back to those things you learned
- 31:44Speaker 2: so long ago. Yeah. So I definitely think that I
- 31:52Speaker 2: get it when I get really pissed off. I either
- 31:56Speaker 2: become my mother who I get very quiet and just
- 31:59Speaker 2: kind of just really quiet and contemplative because I'm thinking
- 32:06Speaker 2: of how do I murder you? Or if I'm just
- 32:10Speaker 2: if I get I'll have a blow up like my
- 32:14Speaker 2: father and just cuss like a mother. I'm much better
- 32:17Speaker 2: at that because I've worked on my shit. And I
- 32:19Speaker 2: don't think Marissa's really probably ever worked on her shit.
- 32:23Speaker 1: No. No. It just, like, sits and fuels a certain, like, energy.
- 32:29Speaker 1: And she just, like, you know, continually, you know, goes
- 32:32Speaker 1: to bar and then does micro-movements, you know, to fatigue
- 32:35Speaker 1: certain muscles. Okay. So, Shay... had brought up on stage,
- 32:44Speaker 1: like you guys can also adopt. And it was like
- 32:47Speaker 1: a kind of passing comment that no one really like,
- 32:50Speaker 1: I guess unpacked. And so later on Edwards at the
- 32:53Speaker 1: bar and Shay's like, Hey buddy, uh, I just wanted
- 32:57Speaker 1: to like talk to you about the, the kid thing.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I have a twin and me and my sister were
- 33:03Speaker 1: both adopted. We're like, Oh, Oh yeah. Okay. I didn't
- 33:06Speaker 1: know that.
- 33:06Speaker 2: You know, that's what I thought. He said, Jake completely
- 33:09Speaker 2: got that wrong in our podcast. He thought his sister was,
- 33:12Speaker 2: His twin sister was adopted. I was like, this doesn't
- 33:14Speaker 2: make sense. But he was on a rant, so I
- 33:16Speaker 2: just let him go. But that makes sense.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Wait, so he thought that two twins were born and.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Like Sophie's choice. It was parent trapped. Yes, Sophie's choice.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I guess they found the twin in like a back swamp.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Camp.
- 33:35Speaker 2: And they're like, whose baby is this? And they didn't know.
- 33:37Speaker 2: There wasn't DNA testing then. So then, uh, you.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Know, but there were, but there were deer heads all
- 33:43Speaker 1: over the swamp land. And so they knew probably. Yes.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Great grandmother, uh, Esther Jean knew this, you know, knew
- 33:55Speaker 2: some woman whose name was, you know, you know, Connie Jean.
- 33:59Speaker 2: And she knew that Connie had had a baby and
- 34:02Speaker 2: Esther knew, and then they called LaDonna Jean and then
- 34:06Speaker 2: suddenly they're reunited and it feels so good.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Yeah. So it can work out for Edward, is what
- 34:15Speaker 1: Shay's like.
- 34:16Speaker 2: This is a sweet moment, actually.
- 34:18Speaker 1: It was lovely. It was lovely. And yeah, like, Shay's
- 34:22Speaker 1: also like, you know, I also feel like as someone
- 34:26Speaker 1: who's been in a relationship, if someone I loved wanted something,
- 34:29Speaker 1: I would think that'd be a really good option. And yeah,
- 34:34Speaker 1: so I thought it was a really beautiful moment. And
- 34:37Speaker 1: I think that I'm happy that Edward had... Like a
- 34:42Speaker 1: man to kind of talk about that with. It felt
- 34:46Speaker 1: small and intimate in what can be and is an
- 34:50Speaker 1: absolute shit show.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 34:55Speaker 1: But let's go from two men having an intimate moment
- 34:59Speaker 1: talking about something vulnerable to a crowd of men having
- 35:02Speaker 1: an intimate moment talking about something even more vulnerable, which
- 35:06Speaker 1: is that Josh doesn't eat Katie's pussy up. And it's
- 35:11Speaker 1: a problem.
- 35:12Speaker 2: And it's a problem.
- 35:14Speaker 1: The men are like, Josh, one thing we can tell
- 35:17Speaker 1: about her is that she's insatiable. The painting of Katie's
- 35:23Speaker 1: sexuality is just a very interesting way.
- 35:26Speaker 2: They've called her a whore.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Yeah, what were you going to say?
- 35:32Speaker 2: No, I was just going to say they've called her
- 35:35Speaker 2: a whore and you said it. So yeah, she's definitely
- 35:38Speaker 2: because you bring up She brought it up, but you
- 35:41Speaker 2: made me think about it more just because she's with Katie.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I'm like, ugh. But the difference between Katie and Shay
- 35:47Speaker 2: is pretty, because when you really think about it, in
- 35:51Speaker 2: a way, it's even more gross that Shay is like
- 35:55Speaker 2: an adult with children, with grandchildren, like with ex-wives. And
- 36:01Speaker 2: for him to still be living this life, it's pretty irresponsible.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Whereas Katie, you're like, Yeah, your life's a shit show,
- 36:08Speaker 2: but you're also 29 years old and you're young and
- 36:11Speaker 2: like you don't have kids. And that's when you can
- 36:14Speaker 2: fuck around a little bit more and it hurts a
- 36:15Speaker 2: lot less people.
- 36:20Speaker 1: It's funny because we all can be like, well, this
- 36:22Speaker 1: person surely shouldn't have kids. But the idea that Josh
- 36:25Speaker 1: finds that this person is like marriage material and like
- 36:28Speaker 1: mom material or whatnot seems to me like another question
- 36:32Speaker 1: for Josh is, do you feel like you are in
- 36:35Speaker 1: love with the idea, Katie? Or do you feel like
- 36:37Speaker 1: you have two feet on God's green earth and have
- 36:39Speaker 1: seen what we've seen and can to our faces say
- 36:42Speaker 1: that this person respects or loves you enough for you
- 36:45Speaker 1: to marry and have a family with?
- 36:49Speaker 2: I don't.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like Josh doesn't get to the root
- 36:55Speaker 1: of what I would love him to ask Katie, and
- 36:56Speaker 1: we don't get those questions. And nor do people really just, like,
- 36:59Speaker 1: press him. Like, and that, I think, is what is
- 37:01Speaker 1: mildly the frustration of watching them as audience members. It
- 37:06Speaker 1: feels like a constant frustration that we don't get to
- 37:11Speaker 1: know what we really want to know and why.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 37:16Speaker 2: That's a good point.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, I do have some pictures. Okay, so as
- 37:21Speaker 1: I said, Josh is like, oh, you know, like, okay, well, yeah,
- 37:24Speaker 1: I have to eat her out more. Okay, you know,
- 37:26Speaker 1: and people are like, yeah, you know, that's what happens.
- 37:28Speaker 1: And this is what, it's like, Edward says, if you don't,
- 37:33Speaker 1: someone else will. And then Shay's like, and nowadays, I mean,
- 37:39Speaker 1: you got to eat out everyone. One night stands, fiancés, girlfriends,
- 37:43Speaker 1: like wives, like everyone expects to be eaten out.
- 37:46Speaker 2: At Barista La Cologne.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Every once in a while. Yeah.
- 37:53Speaker 2: It's nice.
- 37:54Speaker 1: It's nice. These are the stills I took of Thomas
- 37:59Speaker 1: and Mito's face listening. I don't know why we can't
- 38:14Speaker 1: have anyone be like, speaking of Mito, what do you
- 38:18Speaker 1: think on the subject? I would– yeah, Mito gets– Mito
- 38:23Speaker 1: looks down. I need to be like, Mito, does Mito
- 38:25Speaker 1: eat out, Debbie? If we're just going to talk about it,
- 38:27Speaker 1: if we're going to be so– because literally, Edward's like,
- 38:32Speaker 1: Marissa flew to the DR once a month for me
- 38:34Speaker 1: to eat her out and slash have sex. Yeah.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, that– because he– look, he's not wrong.
- 38:43Speaker 2: And that it's not all about that, but a lot
- 38:46Speaker 2: of times in the beginning of relationships, it is that
- 38:48Speaker 2: the sex is really new and great and wonderful.
- 38:51Speaker 1: And I.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Mean, yeah, it is component, but.
- 38:59Speaker 1: The funny thing is to me, Katie isn't hornier than
- 39:02Speaker 1: a Marissa. It's just that Katie wants validation so loudly,
- 39:07Speaker 1: you know, and Marissa gets to have, you know, like
- 39:10Speaker 1: Edward be all over her. But yeah, like. I agree.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Even Rash comments on her, you know, it's everyone is
- 39:18Speaker 1: commenting on Katie. Katie, horny girl. You know, like, and again,
- 39:21Speaker 1: as I said, I was like, oh, I am horny
- 39:24Speaker 1: all the time.
- 39:25Speaker 2: I mean, you know this about me.
- 39:27Speaker 1: I'm just constantly, constantly horny. If I was in a
- 39:34Speaker 1: relationship with someone who didn't make me feel like they
- 39:38Speaker 1: were sexually into me or sexually turned on by me,
- 39:42Speaker 1: if I didn't get to feel a certain sexual chem,
- 39:46Speaker 1: at least once every, if I live with them, Once every, like,
- 39:51Speaker 1: two days, I think because of my own sensitivities would
- 39:58Speaker 1: start to feel I wonder if something's up, you know? Like,
- 40:01Speaker 1: but then I would probably either, like, you know, adjust
- 40:04Speaker 1: or try and see if I could initiate. But if, like,
- 40:07Speaker 1: four or five days go by, then I would have
- 40:09Speaker 1: a conversation. Like, you know, because I would, I feel
- 40:13Speaker 1: like part of a fun romantic relationship is this percolating
- 40:20Speaker 1: sexual energy. And I know that there's dips and waves
- 40:23Speaker 1: and obviously whatnot, but it does something to your psyche
- 40:33Speaker 1: if you feel like someone is disengaged or disconnected from you.
- 40:39Speaker 2: You feel like someone's truly not in love with you
- 40:45Speaker 2: fully if they're not chasing you and adoring you sexually
- 40:51Speaker 2: as well. Even if that person can't fulfill all of
- 40:54Speaker 2: your sexual needs, but there's still something because that really
- 40:59Speaker 2: is the difference of why you're roommates and why you're
- 41:02Speaker 2: in a relationship. You're fucking.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:05Speaker 2: You're not fucking someone and it's been a long time.
- 41:10Speaker 2: You're basically roommates. Yeah. I mean, I do think, yeah.
- 41:17Speaker 1: And I think the other thing is, is that If
- 41:20Speaker 1: then met with the palpable tension that is sexual tension,
- 41:24Speaker 1: like where you are in a space with someone who
- 41:27Speaker 1: you crave their body or you crave their hands on
- 41:31Speaker 1: your body, if that's not happening with your loved one,
- 41:35Speaker 1: at some point it might happen. And then what the
- 41:36Speaker 1: fuck are you going to do? Because there is a
- 41:42Speaker 1: human need to fuck. Yeah. So I don't want to
- 41:47Speaker 1: be like, did you watch that fucking docuseries, Death of
- 41:49Speaker 1: a Pastor's Wife?
- 41:51Speaker 2: No, but I already talked about it.
- 41:52Speaker 1: I know, I know. And basically, he had whole sermons
- 41:55Speaker 1: how he would tell women, you better sexually satisfy every
- 41:58Speaker 1: one of your husband's needs. And he, meanwhile, was like,
- 42:02Speaker 1: I can't even tell you. I won't even tell you
- 42:03Speaker 1: on this podcast. Well, whatever, God bless. He was making
- 42:05Speaker 1: his wife go around and have sexual balances with people
- 42:09Speaker 1: that were experiencing homelessness, because that's how he was just
- 42:11Speaker 1: like that. Okay, God bless. It's a whole goddamn documentary.
- 42:13Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 42:14Speaker 1: So anyway, he's like extreme version of that. And obviously,
- 42:18Speaker 1: that's not what I mean. But the idea that You
- 42:21Speaker 1: don't want to have that feeling with your partner of
- 42:26Speaker 1: just sexual vibes throughout life. At the same time, we've
- 42:33Speaker 1: also desperately, low-key as the audience, want to be like,
- 42:36Speaker 1: what is your thing, Josh? Is your thing, again, that
- 42:38Speaker 1: you like to get pegged? Is your thing that you
- 42:41Speaker 1: are cuckold? And those two things are sexual things. They're
- 42:45Speaker 1: fetish-y kind of sexual things. So then your thought process is,
- 42:48Speaker 1: If you are, God bless, into that, then wouldn't you
- 42:52Speaker 1: be sexually into this person giving you that? And why
- 42:55Speaker 1: aren't you guys then getting off on having found fulfillment?
- 43:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:03Speaker 1: It doesn't make sense. It makes no logical sense.
- 43:06Speaker 2: They're not logic. Yeah. I still say I think he's
- 43:13Speaker 2: in this relationship. It feels like he wants to punish
- 43:15Speaker 2: her or something. That's the kink. Is that she's always
- 43:19Speaker 2: broken down and then he has to like lift her up.
- 43:22Speaker 2: It's a, is it Munchausen syndrome or whatever?
- 43:26Speaker 1: Oh, Munchausen by proxy.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Yes. It just feels like he's always got to do that. Yeah.
- 43:33Speaker 1: He, this starts to descend into the idea that Katie.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Shirley has been drinking too much. So while he's having
- 43:42Speaker 1: this conversation, he also looked over supposedly, and she's there,
- 43:45Speaker 1: you know, on her like fourth different alcohol and her
- 43:47Speaker 1: eyes are sort of glazed over. And she has like
- 43:49Speaker 1: sort of asked different people, like her friend Ryan's there now.
- 43:52Speaker 1: If he wants to make out, God bless, God bless.
- 43:54Speaker 1: So this is weird, shitty editing because there's like voiceovers.
- 43:58Speaker 1: So it makes it seem like this didn't actually happen
- 44:01Speaker 1: or that she had a different experience of this, but
- 44:04Speaker 1: this is what's awkward. She wants another drink, right? She
- 44:07Speaker 1: goes into the same bartender that we've been already seeing
- 44:09Speaker 1: and she's like, can I have another drink? Now he's like,
- 44:11Speaker 1: the bar is closed. But then she's like, no, I'll
- 44:14Speaker 1: pay for it. So she either heard that production wasn't
- 44:19Speaker 1: paying for any more drinks and then she was like, Oh, no,
- 44:23Speaker 1: I'll just pay for my own drink. Or they weren't
- 44:26Speaker 1: clear that the bar had closed and there was a
- 44:29Speaker 1: final call that there just wasn't any more alcohol being served.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Or that she heard that and still was so petulant
- 44:35Speaker 1: that she's like, I want a drink. It's unclear, right?
- 44:40Speaker 2: It's unclear. I mean, I think probably that last one
- 44:44Speaker 2: has a lot of gravity to it. I think this
- 44:47Speaker 2: is not Katie's first time.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Like she turns 10?
- 44:50Speaker 2: Well, I think it's not Katie's first time asking a
- 44:53Speaker 2: bartender to give her a drink after the bar is
- 44:56Speaker 2: after last call.
- 44:59Speaker 1: So he doesn't. And she's like, he's mean. A bartender's mean.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Who's been lovely fucking all night. Who's even like been
- 45:05Speaker 1: had to answer her asinine questions of like, is an
- 45:08Speaker 1: espresso martini strong? And he's like, yeah, bitch, there's a
- 45:11Speaker 1: fucking alcohol vodka. And then she's like, okay, great. Make
- 45:13Speaker 1: it strong. He's like, okay. He's been lovely all night.
- 45:16Speaker 1: So fuck.
- 45:16Speaker 2: So I just need to go over my song. For
- 45:21Speaker 2: the new reboot of the Fantastics that I'm auditioning for tomorrow.
- 45:24Speaker 2: I don't give a fuck about this.
- 45:27Speaker 1: I have to close this bar. I have to be
- 45:29Speaker 1: at Ripley Greer at 830 a.m.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Tomorrow. Give me the fuck out.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Yeah. And so like someone who's worked in the hospitality industry,
- 45:43Speaker 1: for her to be like, he's mean and he's shitty
- 45:46Speaker 1: is fuck you, Katie.
- 45:48Speaker 2: And everyone's mean to her. If you don't agree with her,
- 45:50Speaker 2: you're mean.
- 45:51Speaker 1: Yeah. And also you're messy. So obviously Josh is witnessing
- 45:56Speaker 1: this and is like, let's go to the hotel, Katie.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Let's go to the room. Why are you upset? And
- 46:00Speaker 1: he is having to take care of her. And also
- 46:02Speaker 1: he does get off on what feels like a Captain
- 46:04Speaker 1: Save-A-Ho situation where, you know, like, The idea of feeling
- 46:07Speaker 1: like he needs to take care of someone gives him
- 46:09Speaker 1: a purpose, which is also interesting because I'm like, oh,
- 46:11Speaker 1: is that what happened the first night you guys saw
- 46:13Speaker 1: each other? Did you see her drunk? Surely, obviously she was.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Making out with different people, your friends. And then was
- 46:20Speaker 1: Josh like, I need to take care of this woman.
- 46:23Speaker 1: I'm going to take her home. I'll make sure she
- 46:24Speaker 1: gets- I think I'm part of him. Yeah. And the
- 46:29Speaker 1: minute that he went to go pee and she ran
- 46:31Speaker 1: away from him, he must have gotten so hard being like,
- 46:34Speaker 1: She's a little fairy flying into the night. I'm not
- 46:37Speaker 1: going to take care of her. It was as if
- 46:39Speaker 1: other people would be like, yeah, don't have sex with
- 46:41Speaker 1: him too early on. It's like Katie was like, don't
- 46:43Speaker 1: let him think he can save me too early on.
- 46:45Speaker 1: She gave him a taste of it and then he
- 46:47Speaker 1: was hooked.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's their dynamic.
- 46:52Speaker 1: Okay, my loves. So then he does. He takes her
- 46:55Speaker 1: to the hotel room. We get that mini montage. I've
- 46:56Speaker 1: already brought it up. Everyone in that goddamn small ass
- 46:58Speaker 1: bed were, I mean, Paola and Thomas had the cutest
- 47:00Speaker 1: moment and good. And then the next morning, no one
- 47:03Speaker 1: is more chipper than Katie. I mean, I am like you.
- 47:06Speaker 1: I don't sleep well after I drink. Katie is like,
- 47:08Speaker 1: what the fuck? Did she take an ADHD medication? She
- 47:10Speaker 1: is like, hi, everyone. I mean, she's like, I mean.
- 47:13Speaker 2: She went for a run.
- 47:14Speaker 1: The funny thing was that night, she was like, I
- 47:16Speaker 1: don't know if I should have a drink or go
- 47:18Speaker 1: on a run. I'm like, is this bitch going to
- 47:20Speaker 1: drunkenly run around New York City? Is she going?
- 47:23Speaker 2: Can someone put that chip in my brain? Like that
- 47:26Speaker 2: when I get tipsy, I want to exercise?
- 47:28Speaker 1: I never. I can't imagine it. I can't imagine sweat.
- 47:31Speaker 1: I can't imagine being like, I can sweat right now.
- 47:33Speaker 1: That'd be totally fine.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Like I, I never want to exercise. There's not been
- 47:38Speaker 2: one time in my entire life where I went, like
- 47:41Speaker 2: even Pilates. I love Pilates. Every time I don't want
- 47:45Speaker 2: to go.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Every time.
- 47:47Speaker 2: I want to go to Jones. I want to have
- 47:48Speaker 2: an omelet with coffee. That's what I want to do.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Yeah, so good. I was shocked when Katie, yeah, shocked.
- 48:01Speaker 1: That's how I'm like, well, we are so vastly different.
- 48:04Speaker 1: Like if you, there's just a part of our DNA,
- 48:07Speaker 1: our DNA and our mental energies, everything about us are
- 48:12Speaker 1: night and day, me and Katie, you know? God bless her.
- 48:16Speaker 1: So again, she's great. She's chipper. Everyone's like, you know,
- 48:20Speaker 1: getting in the next day to dress the exact same way,
- 48:23Speaker 1: you know, continuity. I do. For the next day of
- 48:26Speaker 1: the tell-all. And Josh has a come-to-Jesus moment, kind of,
- 48:33Speaker 1: it feels that way a little bit with Katie, where
- 48:34Speaker 1: he's like, I don't want to have to fucking babysit
- 48:35Speaker 1: you all the time. And she's like, you know what, Josh? Maybe,
- 48:39Speaker 1: just maybe, I'll take a month off drinking. And he's like, wow.
- 48:44Speaker 2: And that's all she needed to say. That was it.
- 48:48Speaker 2: And that is their, you know what I said? It's
- 48:51Speaker 2: like that terrible fucking movie with Daniel Day-Lewis, The Phantom Thread.
- 48:55Speaker 2: I hated that movie so badly. The whole thing is like,
- 48:59Speaker 2: he's a fashion designer and I forget. And I think
- 49:02Speaker 2: either he gets sick or his wife gets sick, but
- 49:05Speaker 2: you learn spoiler alert, but it's a terrible movie. Don't
- 49:08Speaker 2: watch it. At the end of the movie, you learn
- 49:10Speaker 2: that I forgot who was getting sick, but they find
- 49:14Speaker 2: out the reason they're getting sick is because they're, I
- 49:17Speaker 2: think like, she, she was getting sick because he was,
- 49:23Speaker 2: had been poisoning her food throughout this entire time. Oh,
- 49:27Speaker 2: and she finds that out. And it's like the last one,
- 49:30Speaker 2: he makes like some porridge or stew or something like that.
- 49:33Speaker 2: And she knows it has poison in it. And she
- 49:35Speaker 2: looks at him lovingly and just eats the stew. And
- 49:38Speaker 2: that's how the movie fucking ends. Oh, God. It was
- 49:42Speaker 2: so fucking stupid. But there does feel like this in that.
- 49:49Speaker 2: What you just described.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Yeah. He's like, we both know this isn't it. Or
- 49:56Speaker 1: we both know what's happening. We both know that I'm
- 49:58Speaker 1: getting the short end of the stick. And I will
- 50:01Speaker 1: swallow it. Look at you in the eye. Yeah. God,
- 50:05Speaker 1: that's deep. So... We obviously start. Sean's back. She's like,
- 50:11Speaker 1: you guys have a good night? It was crazy. And
- 50:15Speaker 1: it really wasn't that crazy because Katie didn't make out
- 50:17Speaker 1: with anyone.
- 50:17Speaker 2: She didn't make out with anyone.
- 50:18Speaker 1: I obviously thought that Katie was going to make out
- 50:20Speaker 1: with someone or at least try to make out with
- 50:22Speaker 1: one of the cast members. And I wonder if production
- 50:25Speaker 1: at the end of the night was like, Matt Sharp's
- 50:28Speaker 1: going to be so mad at us.
- 50:30Speaker 2: Probably.
- 50:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Yeah. Daddy Sharp's going to, we got to pull.
- 50:33Speaker 1: We should have. There just wasn't like, you know, it
- 50:36Speaker 1: was like, it'd be great if it was Thomas just
- 50:37Speaker 1: because of all that, you know, business, but who would
- 50:39Speaker 1: it be, you know? So did Brandy, do you know
- 50:47Speaker 1: how it's interesting how who shows up to the bar?
- 50:49Speaker 1: Like obviously Allison does. Did Brandy ever show up to
- 50:52Speaker 1: the bar?
- 50:52Speaker 2: No, Jake brought that up. We've never really seen that.
- 50:55Speaker 2: We've seen this like maybe at the end, but in the,
- 51:00Speaker 2: during the bar scene, Allison shows up, Randy shows up.
- 51:05Speaker 2: Danica shows up. Yeah. We're, we're, we're Mallory's people. So
- 51:12Speaker 2: it's interesting. They've never done that. Usually it's just the
- 51:15Speaker 2: cast members. Right.
- 51:17Speaker 1: Like Nicole, go see Michael Jackson, the musical after they filmed. Yeah.
- 51:24Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Back on the stage, honey, listen, Josh had an assignment. Right.
- 51:32Speaker 1: From the men. And so we talk about it. We
- 51:35Speaker 1: really do. Poor Shawn Robinson.
- 51:40Speaker 2: She's having to ask if he's gone down on her before.
- 51:43Speaker 1: I know. Think of the prep of Shawn day two
- 51:47Speaker 1: where the producer's like, okay, this is what happened the
- 51:49Speaker 1: night before. The guys took Josh aside and they said
- 51:51Speaker 1: that you have to go down on Katie. So now
- 51:53Speaker 1: that we are going to talk to Josh and Katie,
- 51:55Speaker 1: definitely talk about cunnilingus. Right?
- 51:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 51:59Speaker 1: And she was like, because, you know, Sean knows the
- 52:01Speaker 1: word cunnilingus. So she was like, cunnilingus? Okay.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Cunnilingus? Okay. And then she called her pastor, Morgan, and said,
- 52:09Speaker 2: the blood, the blood, the blood, the blood. Please pray
- 52:11Speaker 2: for me.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Aisha, yeah. Aisha's like, I will. You mean,
- 52:17Speaker 1: I'll pray for you? Yeah, I'm God?
- 52:19Speaker 2: Cool. Yeah, basically.
- 52:21Speaker 1: We find out that Josh hasn't gone down on Katie,
- 52:27Speaker 1: not because of... Anything that Josh would not do, it's
- 52:31Speaker 1: because Katie doesn't really enjoy that.
- 52:33Speaker 2: Yeah. I think this is such a perfect metaphor for
- 52:37Speaker 2: what you've been talking about this whole episode about the
- 52:39Speaker 2: confusion of the dynamics of their relationship.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Right.
- 52:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know if it's too much sensory for her.
- 52:48Speaker 1: I don't know if she just has never had anyone
- 52:50Speaker 1: do it well enough for her. I don't know if
- 52:52Speaker 1: in the act, she's just so alone in that moment
- 52:55Speaker 1: up there where he's down there where her thoughts get
- 52:57Speaker 1: to and she can't quite focus. There's something weird about getting,
- 53:02Speaker 1: you know, the thing for me as a lady is
- 53:06Speaker 1: that when someone's downstairs and I'm suddenly in my own world.
- 53:10Speaker 1: I feel like I can't, I don't really feel this
- 53:12Speaker 1: person's like, wait on me. I don't, it's like, I'm
- 53:14Speaker 1: not making eye contact with this person.
- 53:16Speaker 2: I definitely don't. I don't think you should be, you
- 53:19Speaker 2: should be thinking about your grocery list. You should or shouldn't,
- 53:23Speaker 2: shouldn't be thinking about your grocery list.
- 53:25Speaker 1: It's like, so then what you have to do is
- 53:27Speaker 1: sort of just lay in the moment and really just
- 53:31Speaker 1: allow the feelings to come up with. And it's like, or,
- 53:35Speaker 1: you know, literally the physical feelings of someone downstairs. And
- 53:39Speaker 1: it's kind of hard to clear and focus your mind
- 53:43Speaker 1: on that enough to– it's a weird sensory moment, yeah, sometimes,
- 53:49Speaker 1: I think. And I wonder if she experiences that. And
- 53:52Speaker 1: not that sexual– not like I don't enjoy it. It's
- 53:55Speaker 1: like I have to do mental gymnastics in a way
- 53:57Speaker 1: to enjoy that act more than I do actual penetration,
- 54:03Speaker 1: if that makes sense.
- 54:06Speaker 2: It does, I think. I think so. Great.
- 54:10Speaker 1: So– good. I'm glad. I just like– I don't know.
- 54:14Speaker 2: They never asked me why. You're asking me about going
- 54:16Speaker 2: down on women, and it's a topic I know very
- 54:19Speaker 2: little about. Very little bit, yeah. In fact, nothing.
- 54:24Speaker 1: No one's asked like, oh, Katie, you don't enjoy it? Yeah,
- 54:28Speaker 1: but you just never had a– there's no feminine follow-up
- 54:31Speaker 1: to that. You never just didn't– because.
- 54:33Speaker 2: She is– Because I can't equate– yeah.
- 54:35Speaker 1: No one wants to talk about sex more than Katie.
- 54:38Speaker 1: No one thinks that there are no boundaries. No one's like, oh, okay,
- 54:41Speaker 1: you don't. She has been literally being like, what's your
- 54:44Speaker 1: dick look like? Circumcised the whole time. So I'm just
- 54:46Speaker 1: so interested that like, okay, Katie, you don't want to
- 54:49Speaker 1: talk about you being bad. You don't want to see
- 54:51Speaker 1: footage of that. We know you love sex. So why
- 54:53Speaker 1: not at least dive in deep with the girl that
- 54:55Speaker 1: will open up about everything? Nope. Yeah. Not even fun.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Not even a fun girl talk about it. No. So
- 55:02Speaker 1: then we get Michaela and Brandy, who of course, because
- 55:08Speaker 1: it's Mallory and Rash's turn. Okay. So when Michaela and
- 55:10Speaker 1: Brandy come out, they come out, honey, and it's LOL
- 55:14Speaker 1: because they give me Hailey and Justin Bieber vibes in,
- 55:17Speaker 1: they're not a couple, but if they were going to
- 55:19Speaker 1: two different places on two different planets, she is in
- 55:23Speaker 1: a blue sequin, like eighties fucking, you know, beauty pageant dress.
- 55:28Speaker 1: And he, honey, is like the last cowboy. I mean,
- 55:32Speaker 1: I look at them together. Like, when they saw each other,
- 55:35Speaker 1: were they like, one of us should just tone it down?
- 55:37Speaker 1: One of us should bring it up, you know?
- 55:39Speaker 2: Like, what do we do?
- 55:40Speaker 1: I mean.
- 55:44Speaker 2: Her dress... And I gotta say, I thought Mallory's too.
- 55:48Speaker 2: They went to the same 80s prom store and bought
- 55:51Speaker 2: these dresses. And they're horrible. But it's the.
- 55:57Speaker 2: She really looks like a walking advertisement in 1987 for
- 56:03Speaker 2: women over 50 to get glamour shots.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Yes.
- 56:07Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure my grandma wore that same outfit that
- 56:14Speaker 2: my mom and my aunts took her to glamour shots
- 56:17Speaker 2: to get as her gift for her 70th or whatever.
- 56:20Speaker 1: Yes, yes. It is glamour shots, 100%. And then, God
- 56:25Speaker 1: bless her, she put on the very darkest, purpliest, blackest lipstick,
- 56:31Speaker 1: which was very goth, on top of this, yeah, 80s glam,
- 56:35Speaker 1: cobalt blue dress. I was like, oh, God, Michaela, come on. Listen,
- 56:38Speaker 1: you think that you won wars against Europe back to back,
- 56:43Speaker 1: but you are losing this war, honey.
- 56:46Speaker 2: You're losing this war.
- 56:46Speaker 1: In your closet every day. So... I mean, pick your battles. Okay.
- 56:56Speaker 1: Let's just, I know. Okay. I love you. I'm sorry.
- 56:59Speaker 1: I'm a bitch. Okay. So basically what this conversation is
- 57:04Speaker 1: about is that even though we were led to believe
- 57:09Speaker 1: that Brandy and Rash made up, Rash still has issues
- 57:15Speaker 1: with Brandy because Mallory talks to Brandy. Now Mallory is
- 57:18Speaker 1: like not a lot and it's, Then revealed, because of Michaela,
- 57:26Speaker 1: who doesn't have.
- 57:26Speaker 2: To say any of this.
- 57:27Speaker 1: Yeah, because you're like, so what?
- 57:28Speaker 2: They just want to talk. They're friends. And then?
- 57:31Speaker 1: Michaela's like, well, yeah, just that, let's be honest. He's
- 57:35Speaker 1: been dating some women that haven't been that great. And Mallory,
- 57:38Speaker 1: who shouldn't have an opinion on it because she's supposed
- 57:40Speaker 1: to be happily married, has a lot of opinions. Too
- 57:44Speaker 1: many opinions in my mind. Because why would you have
- 57:46Speaker 1: that many opinions about who he's dating unless? We're like, oh. Unless. Okay.
- 57:53Speaker 2: I want you to say that all again. And can
- 57:54Speaker 2: you do that? And then, cause you did it in pretty. Oh,
- 57:59Speaker 2: can you do it the way a Southern person would
- 58:02Speaker 2: say all that?
- 58:03Speaker 1: Please. Well, here's the thing. Brandy has been, I'm just
- 58:09Speaker 1: calling Brandy now because it's stuck. Brandy has been dating
- 58:12Speaker 1: some women who are just not that great. Like, you know,
- 58:14Speaker 1: not the best and no one has a more voluminous
- 58:18Speaker 1: opinion than Mallory. Now, we would all think, why have
- 58:21Speaker 1: that opinion, Mallory? Because you're dating Rash and you should
- 58:23Speaker 1: be real happy. She loves Rash, right? However, she texts
- 58:26Speaker 1: him all these things about these women and it's like,
- 58:29Speaker 1: you wouldn't be feeling those things unless you still had
- 58:32Speaker 1: feelings for him. You know what I'm saying, Sean and Rash? Now,
- 58:37Speaker 1: Mallory is like- Very good.
- 58:40Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 58:44Speaker 1: Um, no. Um, no. I just, as, no, I, shut up. Like,
- 58:48Speaker 1: you know, Mallory is so upset.
- 58:50Speaker 2: But that's why she's there. She's so upset. She's, yeah. Michaela,
- 58:56Speaker 2: sequins and ruffles don't come to play.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Now, immediately, I'm like, okay, first of all, now, where
- 59:02Speaker 1: are the women that he's dated? I want to see them.
- 59:05Speaker 1: So he's not getting that Katie girl then, right? That
- 59:07Speaker 1: other girl that was around?
- 59:08Speaker 2: We don't know. Because Michaela said, Brandy said, you know,
- 59:12Speaker 2: I'm sitting around talking to five women. I've slept with
- 59:14Speaker 2: them both. I'm in my whole face, Sean.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Oh, no. That's what happens in them small towns. Shay's like, Katie,
- 59:24Speaker 1: first of all, Katie is like, me too. That's literally
- 59:26Speaker 1: what happens with me, everyone.
- 59:27Speaker 2: See? Sean's like, been there.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Like love.
- 59:31Speaker 2: I know.
- 59:33Speaker 1: I mean, it's so interesting. But when that happens, it's
- 59:43Speaker 1: interesting because Rosh doesn't really have the kind of reaction
- 59:48Speaker 1: you'd think for him to have. Who we assume should
- 59:51Speaker 1: be like, what? Is that true, baby? You still like me?
- 59:54Speaker 1: You assume he's going to have that reaction. He doesn't.
- 59:57Speaker 1: He just sort of sits there. And then Brandy... It's like, no,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: we're just friends. Like, I don't think she loves me
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: like that. You know, like, and Mallory is just sort
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: of like seemingly embarrassed the entire time.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Well, she's got those opinions about all the women you date.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: I don't know if she'd have that if she wasn't
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: carrying a torch.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: This is where Aisha's like, bitch, this is where you're
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: being messy. Because, yeah, assumingly. Rosh shouldn't tell you what
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: to do, but you're making it complicated because now people
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: like your best friend can go around being like, they text.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: And then your small ass town full of people that
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: talk are going to be like, why do they text?
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Because she's not into that man. And like, you know what?
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: It's disrespectful to Rosh. And she hears that. So they,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: I guess, sort of influence her to respect the boundaries more.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: And then, you know, then they talk babies, right? And
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: this conversation was hard for me, Chris Farah, because I
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: think that I've been living in this idea of something of, like, whether,
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: you know, I can sort of, you know, seemingly fulfill
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: what I thought was going to happen in a part
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: of my life. And also it's hard because I also had, like,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: a weird relationship with my mom. And so this conversation
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: happens and I'm, like, already kind of on, like, ugh,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: I wish this wasn't happening. But Debbie does say something
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: that is so– mildly painful for me to hear that
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: I'm going to say it because if anyone else had
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: this moment, I'm here for you. So obviously Marissa's like,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: this hurts my heart. He had a rough childhood. And
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Debbie's like, I also have like a shitty mom who
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: had depression issues. And Debbie's like, nothing fixes or healed
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: that more for me than having a child. And I
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: thought about that Because it feels like a lizard brain
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: want to heal that. Like, it feels like it can't
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: possibly actually do that. It feels like what a lizard
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: brain would think is going to heal. But then you
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: put a lot of that pressure on your children to, what,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: heal a part of your past? And what if it
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: doesn't look like how you thought it was going to
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: look like? Like, I... But I haven't had that experience.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: And I guess, you know, Debbie has. And so I
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: guess I was like, can that possibly be true?
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: Or is.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: Is it different for every person? You know what I'm saying?
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: Uh-huh. It was so beautifully said the way she said it.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: And I think, you know, I have personal friends who
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: that has healed. But I also want to bring what
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: you said is that so important is there shouldn't be
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: an expectation of you to have children to heal yourself.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: But I think there might be this visceral primitive cycle.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Like you can't stop it if you've had the want
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: or need to have an experience from your.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: Oh, I get it. Like how would you not– Because
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: I think about with my children how– I definitely think
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: about it if I ever had children. I'm just kidding.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: Don't think back on Timothy. Yes.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: Little Arlene.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: Yeah. Xander and Lander. But I do think about how,
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: if I was a parent, what things I would want
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: to do differently that I didn't get. And I'd want
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: to make sure my child knew that she was getting that.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: So I think they're, or he, they, whatever. So, yeah,
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: I can see the validity in it. Um, and, but
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: I guess that too, I just don't want to say that. Yeah.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: It's yeah. You just don't want to put pressure on
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: your child, but how could it not? I mean, having
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: children is a huge thing. How it's like, how could
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: it not heal infants, but also heal things in yourself
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: with them? Maybe potentially break parts of yourself. You know,
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: it's such a, an intense thing.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: A hundred fucking percent.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Childless gay man talking about parenting here. So, um, I
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: get it.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: No, I guess I'm trying to make sense of it
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: because yes, when she said it, it was beautiful. And
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: then I just was like, yeah, but it's so interesting.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: It's like, I guess in the same way, it's like,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: you can't have a bandage baby for, for a marriage
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: that's not working out. Right. Like, but it's not the
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: same thing. It's just the idea of it is just
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: a interesting.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: That is beautiful.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: If you didn't have this relationship with your mom, it
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: probably would make you feel like, well, I mean, I
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: think for my own father, let me speak to that
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: for my own father, whose father left when he was
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: five years old. And, you know, none of them had
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: a relationship. You know, my grandmama went over and beat
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: up his mistress with a chili can and like they
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: never talked again. It was a whole thing. And so
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: those stories are on that. That's a very much longer story.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: But my father basically didn't see his dad since he
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: was five years old and Carried so much pain about
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: that unresolved pain and to his death. But at the
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: same time, I know it was very healing for him
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: that he was a good dad that now he would
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: tell us on the weekly. Y'all better be grateful because
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: I didn't have a dad to go do this with me.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: And so and we just kind of would laugh about
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: it eventually. But I think he brought that up because
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: every week it was a reminder of like, I can
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: take my sons to go get ice cream after one
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: of them plays a baseball game. I never, ever had
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: that in my life. So I do think that is
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: profoundly healing.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: It's interesting. I have had one reoccurring dream for almost,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: I can't even tell you, maybe my whole life or whatever.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: And the reoccurring stress dream is that I suddenly remember
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: in the dream that I have been given baby kittens
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: or baby puppies or one or two to take care of.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Suddenly I remember, oh no, my friend dropped one off
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: and I have one in my house. Or it's like
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: this idea that I have neglected something and then I
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: have to rush to this thing and just hope and
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: pray that it's healthy. I have to somehow get the
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: things I need to keep this thing alive that I've
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: not done, like food, obviously, or whatever. And so I
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: always find the thing. It's never dead. It's just skinny
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: looking and like on shaky legs. And I've considered this
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: and I've been like, well, at some point I'll get
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: a pet and I'm not going to kill the pet.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Cause I'm, I really think I will not kill the
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: pet and I will heal myself from this fucking dream.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: I'll be like, Oh no, Chris, you can take care
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: of a pet. It'll be fine. You know how to
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: feed a pet. It's chill. You've taken care of yourself.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: It's not that hard. And so I do that. The
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: lizard part of me is like, Oh, I'll get the
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: thing to fix it. And I, So it's just an
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: interesting human desire or human problem-solving thing that also happens
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: on this level. Anyway, so I thought a lot about that.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: I didn't expect to talk about this today, but Chris,
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: the answer is yes. I will have a baby with
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: you if that's what you're asking me.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: You know I get them frozen eggs.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: Yeah, well, that's not going to happen the old way.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: Love you.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: I know, unless we have a lot of what? No,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. Wine.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: Josh and I have more than common.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Listen, if Katie can hook up with Thomas, she gets shit-faced.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, exactly.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. So basically, could you fucking imagine? No.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: And it would definitely be in the– if it ever
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: had to happen, it would be in the fanciest fucking
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: hotel room of our lives. Okay. It wouldn't be at
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: the time. Okay, so basically everyone– is talking about the babies.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: You know, Shay's like, well, Mallory's going to give you
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: a baby ratchet. You know, she loves you. You know,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Edward's like, I want a baby so bad. You know,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: they talk about babies. Marissa cries, like I said. And
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: then we're going to go on to the final. Is
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: there only three parts of this tell-all or are there
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: four parts?
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Yeah, three parts.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: For the final part. So we're done with this tell-all,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: believe it or not. We've been talking so long, though,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: so I'm sure you guys are like.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: Sorry, y'all. We go long. We have fun here. Yeah,
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: we do.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: But it's been... obviously amazing to talk to you and
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I love you so much. And thank you so much
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: for coming on and discussing this.

- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Same, same. You give such incredibly nuanced professional advice because
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: your background being a therapist.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: So you're so mature.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: Did you see, by the way, on Instagram that supposedly
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: talking about couple counselors and you were like, people come
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: to us too late. That Katie and Josh have a
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: couple counselor named Kevin that they go to? No. Yeah.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: And then I was like, can we talk to Kevin?
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: Can we get Kevin's notes?
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Well, sadly, no.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: But I wonder if it helps unless they cast him.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: Maybe it's just Kevin, but it's really Dr. Tyrone. Maybe
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: his name's Kevin. I don't know.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Kevin Tyrone? You better call Tyrone.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Tyrone.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Dr. Kevin Tyrone. Oh, all right, my loves. Listen, Matt

- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Because sometimes it doesn't always work out in the process
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: of just bringing ourselves back. To feeling good in this
