- 0:08Speaker 3: He's like, do not compare.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Me to him?
- 0:11Speaker 2: Everywhere we are together, I can barely focus because I
- 0:14Speaker 2: want you so bad, and this room is too small
- 0:16Speaker 2: to bed you, to bed you properly, because I can't
- 0:18Speaker 2: even you up against the wall.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Ye, sad.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Bro It stunts winnowing, slicing throats left right and center.

- 0:31Speaker 2: when we were putting on that show.
- 0:33Speaker 1: But what I wanted the most was this.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Takes his fingers out of him and puts him in
- 0:37Speaker 2: his mouth and starts tasting over.

- 1:20Speaker 4: best two chapters in the whole.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Series, in the whole of existence of worlds now. Second
- 1:25Speaker 2: thing Spotify YouTube. We don't know if this is going

- 2:05Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys, if you just listened to. If you
- 2:07Speaker 1: listen to our last episode, you know where we're up to.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Mmmm.
- 2:10Speaker 1: But this is gonna be fun.
- 2:12Speaker 4: We got further du let's just enjoy chapters fifty four
- 2:16Speaker 4: and fifty five together.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Stirred at Race. He stirred at me. His cheeks were
- 2:21Speaker 5: tinged pink with cold, his dark hair ruffled, and he
- 2:24Speaker 5: honestly looked freezing as he stood there, wings tucked and tight.
- 2:28Speaker 5: And I knew that one word from me and he'd
- 2:30Speaker 5: go flying off into the crisp night. That if I
- 2:33Speaker 5: shut the door, he'd go and not push it. His
- 2:36Speaker 5: asss flared, scenting the paint behind me, but he didn't
- 2:39Speaker 5: break a stair Waiting, mate, mine, mate, this beautiful, strong,
- 2:48Speaker 5: selfless male who had sacrificed and wrecked himself for his family,
- 2:52Speaker 5: his people, and didn't feel it was enough. That he
- 2:55Speaker 5: wasn't enough for anyone as real thought, he didn't deserve
- 2:58Speaker 5: someone like more. And I wondered if Reese, if he
- 3:02Speaker 5: somehow felt the same about me. I stepped aside, holding
- 3:05Speaker 5: the door open for him. I could have sworn. I
- 3:08Speaker 5: felt a pulse of knee wobbling relief through the bond.
- 3:11Speaker 5: But Reese took in the painting I'd done, gobbling down
- 3:14Speaker 5: the bright colors that now made the cottage come alive.
- 3:17Speaker 5: You painted us, I hope you don't mind. He studied
- 3:20Speaker 5: the threshold to the Petroum.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Hallway as reel Moore, Amerin and Cassian. You do know
- 3:27Speaker 3: that one of them is going to paint a mustache
- 3:29Speaker 3: under the eyes of Forverd pisses them off.
- 3:31Speaker 5: That day, I clamped my lips to keep the smile in.
- 3:34Speaker 5: Oh more already promised to do that.
- 3:37Speaker 3: And what about my eyes?
- 3:39Speaker 5: All right then? Now dancing around it. My heart was
- 3:43Speaker 5: pounding so wildly I knew he could hear it. I
- 3:46Speaker 5: was afraid to paint them, Reese faced me fully, Why
- 3:51Speaker 5: no more games, no more banter? At first, because I
- 3:55Speaker 5: was so mad at you for not telling me, Then
- 3:57Speaker 5: because I was worried I'd like them too much and
- 3:59Speaker 5: find that you didn't feel the same. Then because I
- 4:03Speaker 5: was scared that if I painted them, I'd start wishing
- 4:05Speaker 5: you were here so much that I'd just stare at
- 4:06Speaker 5: them all day. And it seemed like a pathetic way
- 4:09Speaker 5: to spend my time. A twitch of his lips. Indeed,
- 4:13Speaker 5: I glanced at the shut door. You flew here.
- 4:16Speaker 3: He nodded. Moore wouldn't tell me where you'd gone, And
- 4:19Speaker 3: there are only so many places that are as secure
- 4:21Speaker 3: as this one. Since I didn't want our highburn friends
- 4:24Speaker 3: tracking me to you, I had to do it the
- 4:26Speaker 3: old fashioned way. It took a while. You're better healed
- 4:31Speaker 3: completely quickly considering the bloodbain. Thanks to you, I avoided
- 4:36Speaker 3: his stare, turning for the kitchen.
- 4:38Speaker 5: You must be hungry. I'll heat something up. Race straightened.
- 4:42Speaker 3: You make me food.
- 4:44Speaker 5: Heat I can't cook. It didn't seem to make a difference,
- 4:48Speaker 5: but whatever it was the act of offering him food.
- 4:51Speaker 5: I dumped some cold soup into a pan and lit
- 4:53Speaker 5: the burner. I don't know the rules. I kept my
- 4:56Speaker 5: back to him, so you need to explain them to me.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Finger in the center of the cabin, watching my every move.
- 5:03Speaker 3: It's an important moment. When a female offers her food.
- 5:08Speaker 3: It goes back to whatever beast we were a long
- 5:10Speaker 3: long time ago. But it still matters. The first time matters.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Some mated pairs will make an occasion of it during
- 5:17Speaker 3: a party, just so the female can formally offer her
- 5:19Speaker 3: made food. That's usually done amongst the wealthy, but it
- 5:24Speaker 3: means that the female accepts the bond.
- 5:27Speaker 5: I stared into the soup. Tell me the story, Tell
- 5:30Speaker 5: me everything. He understood my offer. Tell me while I cooked,
- 5:34Speaker 5: and I decided at the end whether or not to
- 5:36Speaker 5: offer him that food. A chair sprayed against the wood floor.
- 5:39Speaker 5: As he sat at the table. For a moment, there
- 5:42Speaker 5: was only silence, interrupted by the clack of my spoon
- 5:45Speaker 5: against the pot.
- 5:46Speaker 3: I was captured during the war by Amarantha's army.
- 5:50Speaker 5: I paused my stirring, my cut twisting.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Cassian and Asriel were in different legions, so they had
- 5:56Speaker 3: no idea that my forces and I had been taken prisoner,
- 6:00Speaker 3: and that Amarantha's captains held us for weeks, torturing and
- 6:03Speaker 3: slaughtering my warriors. They put ash bolts through my wings,
- 6:08Speaker 3: and they had those same chains from the other night
- 6:10Speaker 3: to keep me down. Those chains are one of Hyburne's
- 6:13Speaker 3: greatest assets. Stone Delve from deep in their land, capable
- 6:17Speaker 3: of nullifying a high face powers even mine. So they
- 6:21Speaker 3: chained me up between two trees, beating me when they
- 6:24Speaker 3: felt like it, trying to get me to tell them
- 6:27Speaker 3: where the night Court forces were, using my warriors their
- 6:31Speaker 3: deaths and pain to break me. Only I didn't break,
- 6:37Speaker 3: and they were too dumb to know that I was
- 6:39Speaker 3: an Illyrian and all they had to do to get
- 6:42Speaker 3: me to yield would have been to try to cut
- 6:44Speaker 3: off my wings, and maybe it was luck, but they
- 6:47Speaker 3: never did. And Amarantha, she didn't care that I was there.
- 6:51Speaker 3: I was yet another high lord's son, and Jurian had
- 6:54Speaker 3: just slaughtered her sister. All she cared about was getting
- 6:58Speaker 3: to him, killing him. She had no idea that every second,
- 7:03Speaker 3: every breath, I plotted her death. I was willing to
- 7:07Speaker 3: make it my last stand, to kill her at any cost,
- 7:11Speaker 3: even if it meant shredding my wings to break free.
- 7:14Speaker 3: I'd watch the guards and learn her schedule, so I
- 7:17Speaker 3: knew where she'd be. I said a day and a time,
- 7:21Speaker 3: and I was ready. I was so damn ready to
- 7:24Speaker 3: make an end of it and wait for Cassian and
- 7:26Speaker 3: Asrael and Moore on the other side. There was nothing
- 7:29Speaker 3: but my rage and my relief that my friends weren't there.
- 7:33Speaker 3: But the day before I was to kill Amarantha, to
- 7:36Speaker 3: make my final stand and meet my end, she and
- 7:39Speaker 3: Juriane faced each other on the battlefield. I was chained
- 7:44Speaker 3: in the mud, forced to watch as they battled, to
- 7:47Speaker 3: watch as Julian took my killing blow, only she slaughtered him.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I watched her rip out his eye, then rip off
- 7:56Speaker 3: his finger, and when he was prone, I watched her
- 7:59Speaker 3: dragon came back to the camp. Then I listened to
- 8:02Speaker 3: her slowly, over days and days, tear him apart. Screaming
- 8:08Speaker 3: was endless. She was so focused on torturing him that
- 8:12Speaker 3: she didn't detect my father's arrival. In the panic, she
- 8:15Speaker 3: killed Jurian rather than see him liberated and fled. So
- 8:20Speaker 3: my father rescued me and told his men told Asrael
- 8:24Speaker 3: to leave the ash spikes in my wings as punishment
- 8:28Speaker 3: for getting caught. I was so injured that the healers
- 8:32Speaker 3: informed me if I tried to fight before my wings healed,
- 8:35Speaker 3: i'd never fly again. So I was forced to return
- 8:38Speaker 3: home to recover. While the final battles were waged. They
- 8:42Speaker 3: made the treaty and the wall was built. We'd long
- 8:45Speaker 3: ago freed our slaves in the night Court. We didn't
- 8:48Speaker 3: trust the humans to keep our secrets, not when they
- 8:50Speaker 3: bred so quickly and frequently that my forefathers couldn't hold
- 8:53Speaker 3: all their minds at once. But our world was changed. Nonetheless,
- 8:58Speaker 3: we were all changed by the war. Cassian and Asriel
- 9:01Speaker 3: came back different. I came back different. We came here
- 9:05Speaker 3: to this cabin I was still so injured that they
- 9:08Speaker 3: carried me here between them. We were here when the
- 9:11Speaker 3: messages arrived about the final terms of the treaty. They
- 9:15Speaker 3: stayed with me. When I roared at the stars that Amarantha,
- 9:19Speaker 3: for all she had done, for every crime committed, would
- 9:22Speaker 3: go unpunished, that the King of Highburne would go unpunished.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Too much killing occurred on either side for everyone to
- 9:29Speaker 3: be brought to justice, they said. Even my father gave
- 9:33Speaker 3: me an order to let it go, to build toward
- 9:35Speaker 3: a future of coexistence. But I never forgave what Amorantha
- 9:39Speaker 3: had done to my warriors, and I never forgot it either.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Tamlin's father, he was her friend, and when my father
- 9:48Speaker 3: slaughtered him, I was so damn smug that perhaps she'd
- 9:51Speaker 3: feel an inkling of what I'd felt when she murdered
- 9:54Speaker 3: my soldiers.
- 9:56Speaker 5: My hands were shaking as I started the soup. I'd
- 9:58Speaker 5: never known, I ever thought.
- 10:01Speaker 3: When Amarantha returned to these shore centuries later, I still
- 10:04Speaker 3: wanted to kill her. The worst part was she didn't
- 10:08Speaker 3: even know who I was, didn't even remember that I
- 10:11Speaker 3: was the high Lord's son that she'd held captive to her.
- 10:15Speaker 3: I was merely the son of the man who had
- 10:17Speaker 3: killed her friend. I was just the high Lord of
- 10:19Speaker 3: the night Court. The other high lords were convinced she
- 10:23Speaker 3: wanted peace and trade. Only Tamlin mistrusted her. I hated him,
- 10:29Speaker 3: but he'd known Amarantha personally, and if he didn't trust her,
- 10:33Speaker 3: I knew she hadn't changed, So I planned to kill her.
- 10:37Speaker 3: I told no one, not even Amorin. I let Amarantha
- 10:40Speaker 3: think I was interested in trade an alliance. I decided
- 10:44Speaker 3: I'd go to the party thrown under the mountain for
- 10:47Speaker 3: all the courts to celebrate our trade agreement with Highburn,
- 10:51Speaker 3: and when she was drunk, I'd slip into her mind,
- 10:54Speaker 3: make her reveal every lie and crime she'd committed, and
- 10:58Speaker 3: then I'd turn her brain liquid before anyone could react.
- 11:03Speaker 3: I was prepared to go to war for it.
- 11:06Speaker 5: I turned leaning against the counter. Reese was looking at
- 11:09Speaker 5: his hands as if the story were a book he
- 11:11Speaker 5: could read between them.
- 11:13Speaker 3: But she thought faster, acted faster. She had been drained
- 11:17Speaker 3: against my particular skill set and had extensive mental shields.
- 11:21Speaker 3: I was so busy working to tunnel through them that
- 11:24Speaker 3: I didn't think about the drink in my hand. I
- 11:27Speaker 3: hadn't wanted Cassian or Asriel or anyone else there that
- 11:30Speaker 3: night to witness what I was to do, so no
- 11:32Speaker 3: one bothered to sniff my drink. And as I felt
- 11:35Speaker 3: my powers being ripped away by that spell she put
- 11:37Speaker 3: on it at the toast, I flung them out one
- 11:40Speaker 3: last time, wiping Vlarus, the wars, all that was good
- 11:43Speaker 3: from the minds of the Court of Nightmares, the only
- 11:45Speaker 3: ones I'd allowed to come with me. I threw a
- 11:48Speaker 3: shield around Valars, binding it to my friends so that
- 11:51Speaker 3: they had to remain or risk that protection collapsing, and
- 11:55Speaker 3: use the last dregs to tell them mine to mind
- 11:57Speaker 3: what was happening and to stay away. Within a few seconds,
- 12:01Speaker 3: my power belonged wholly to Amarantha.
- 12:03Speaker 5: His eyes lifted to mine, haunted blak.
- 12:07Speaker 3: She slaughtered half the Court of Nightmares right then and there,
- 12:11Speaker 3: to prove to me that she could as vengeance for
- 12:14Speaker 3: Tamlin's father, and I knew. I knew in that moment
- 12:18Speaker 3: that there was nothing I wouldn't do to keep her
- 12:21Speaker 3: from looking at my court again from looking too long
- 12:24Speaker 3: at who I was and what I loved. So I
- 12:28Speaker 3: told myself that it was a new war, a different
- 12:30Speaker 3: sort of battle. And that night, when she kept turning
- 12:34Speaker 3: her attention to me, I knew what she wanted. I
- 12:37Speaker 3: knew it wasn't about fucking me so much as it
- 12:39Speaker 3: was about getting revenge at my father's ghost. But if
- 12:43Speaker 3: that was what she wanted, then that was what she
- 12:46Speaker 3: would get. I made her bag and scream and use
- 12:50Speaker 3: my lingering powers to make it so good for her
- 12:53Speaker 3: that she wanted more, craved more.
- 12:56Speaker 5: I gripped the counter to keep from sliding to the ground.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Then she cursed Hamlin, and my other great enemy became
- 13:02Speaker 3: the one loophole that might free us. All every night
- 13:05Speaker 3: that I spent with Amarantha, I knew that she was
- 13:08Speaker 3: half wondering if I'd tried to kill her. I couldn't
- 13:11Speaker 3: use my powers to harm her, and she had shielded
- 13:13Speaker 3: herself against physical attacks. But for fifty years, whenever I
- 13:19Speaker 3: was inside her, I think about killing her. She had
- 13:23Speaker 3: no idea, none, because I was so good at my
- 13:27Speaker 3: job as she thought, I enjoyed it too, so she
- 13:30Speaker 3: began to trust me more than the others. Especially when
- 13:34Speaker 3: I proved what I could do to her enemies.
- 13:37Speaker 4: He was so good at fucking that mad ETHA. Trust him.
- 13:45Speaker 2: What that is, just how good he is and fucking
- 13:49Speaker 2: and that's someone that he doesn't want to fuck that line.
- 13:52Speaker 4: When I was inside her, all I could think about
- 13:54Speaker 4: was killing her.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Dude, this shit's fucking ins.
- 14:00Speaker 3: I was glad to do it. I hated myself, but
- 14:03Speaker 3: I was glad to do it. After a decade, I
- 14:07Speaker 3: stopped expecting to see my friends or my people again.
- 14:10Speaker 3: I forgot what their faces looked like and stopped hoping.
- 14:15Speaker 5: Silver cleaned in his eyes and he blinked it away.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Three years ago, I began to have these dreams. At first,
- 14:25Speaker 3: they were glimpses, as if I was staring through someone
- 14:27Speaker 3: else's eyes, a crackling hearth in a dark home, a
- 14:33Speaker 3: bale of hay in a porn, a worn of rabbits.
- 14:36Speaker 3: The images were foggy, like looking through cloudy glass. They
- 14:40Speaker 3: were brief, a flash here and there every few months.
- 14:45Speaker 3: I thought nothing of them until one of the images
- 14:49Speaker 3: was of a hand, this beautiful human hand holding a
- 14:55Speaker 3: brush painting flowers on a table. Stopped beating it, and
- 15:01Speaker 3: that time I pushed the thought back of the night sky,
- 15:05Speaker 3: of the image that brought me joy when I needed
- 15:07Speaker 3: it most.
- 15:09Speaker 1: That's when she pictured the night sloud.
- 15:12Speaker 2: That's why she painted the night sky, because that was
- 15:14Speaker 2: the year that they had a little bit extra money.
- 15:18Speaker 2: She got the paints. She painted the night sky. She
- 15:20Speaker 2: said she doesn't know why. She doesn't even like it,
- 15:22Speaker 2: and it was because recent sent it to her.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Unpros.
- 15:27Speaker 2: These motherfuckers have been bonded since before she was even
- 15:31Speaker 2: in prithy Hell though.
- 15:34Speaker 1: How strong their bond is, sex is going to be
- 15:38Speaker 1: that strong.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Open night sky, stars and the moon. I didn't know
- 15:46Speaker 3: if it was received, but I tried anyway.
- 15:49Speaker 5: I wasn't sure.
- 15:49Speaker 3: I was breathing those streams, the flashes of that person,
- 15:53Speaker 3: that woman. I treasured them. They were a reminder that
- 15:57Speaker 3: there was some peace out there in the world, world,
- 16:00Speaker 3: some light, that there was a place and a person
- 16:04Speaker 3: who had enough safety to paint flowers on a table.
- 16:08Speaker 3: They went on for years until a year ago. I
- 16:13Speaker 3: was sleeping next to Amarantha and I jolted awake from
- 16:16Speaker 3: this stream, this dream that was clearer and brighter, like
- 16:20Speaker 3: that fog had been wiped away. She you were dreaming.
- 16:26Speaker 3: I was in your dream watching as you had a
- 16:29Speaker 3: nightmare about some woman slitting your throat while you were
- 16:32Speaker 3: chased by the bog. I couldn't reach you, speak to you,
- 16:35Speaker 3: but you were seeing our kind, and I realized that
- 16:39Speaker 3: the fog had probably been the wall, and that you
- 16:43Speaker 3: you were now in Priythian. I saw you through your dreams,
- 16:46Speaker 3: and I hoarded the images, sorting through them over and
- 16:49Speaker 3: over again, trying to place where you were, who you were.
- 16:53Speaker 3: But you had such horrible nightmares, and the creatures belonged
- 16:57Speaker 3: to all courts. I'd wake up with your scent in
- 17:00Speaker 3: my nose and it wouldn't haunt me all day, every step.
- 17:05Speaker 3: But then one night you dreamt of standing among screen hills,
- 17:09Speaker 3: seeing unlit bonfires for callum May.
- 17:11Speaker 5: There was such silence in my head.
- 17:14Speaker 3: I knew there was only one celebration that large. I
- 17:18Speaker 3: knew those hills, and I knew you'd probably be there.
- 17:22Speaker 3: So I told Amarantha. I told her that I wanted
- 17:27Speaker 3: to go to the Spring Court for the celebration, to
- 17:30Speaker 3: spy on Tamlin and see if anyone showed up wishing
- 17:32Speaker 3: to conspire with him. We were so close to the
- 17:35Speaker 3: deadline for the curse that she was paranoid, restless. She
- 17:39Speaker 3: told me to bring back traders. I promised her I would.
- 17:43Speaker 5: His eyes lifted to mine again.
- 17:45Speaker 3: I got there and I could smell you, so I
- 17:48Speaker 3: tracked that scent, and there you were, utterly human and
- 17:54Speaker 3: being dragged away by those piece of shit picks who
- 17:57Speaker 3: wanted to He shook his head, slaughtering them then and there.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Then they shoved you, and I just moved. I started speaking,
- 18:07Speaker 3: without knowing what I was saying, only that you were
- 18:09Speaker 3: there and I was touching you, and there you are.
- 18:14Speaker 3: I've been looking for you.
- 18:16Speaker 5: His first words to me, not a lie at all,
- 18:19Speaker 5: not a threat to keep those ferries away.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Thank you for finding her for me.
- 18:23Speaker 5: I had the vague feeling of the world slipping out
- 18:26Speaker 5: from under my feet, like sand washing away from the shore.
- 18:29Speaker 3: You looked at me, and I knew you had no
- 18:32Speaker 3: idea who I was. That I might have seen your dreams,
- 18:36Speaker 3: but you hadn't seen mine. And you were just human.
- 18:41Speaker 3: You were so young and breakable and had no interest
- 18:44Speaker 3: in me whatsoever. And I knew that if I stayed
- 18:47Speaker 3: too long, someone would see and report back and she'd
- 18:51Speaker 3: find you. So I started walking away, thinking you'd be
- 18:55Speaker 3: glad to get rid of me. But then you called
- 18:58Speaker 3: after me, like you couldn't let go of me just yet,
- 19:01Speaker 3: whether you knew it or not, and I knew, I
- 19:05Speaker 3: knew we were on dangerous grounds. Somehow, I knew that
- 19:08Speaker 3: I could never speak to you, or see you or
- 19:11Speaker 3: think of you again. I didn't want to know why
- 19:13Speaker 3: you were in Printhion. I didn't even want to know
- 19:16Speaker 3: your name, because seeing me in my dreams had been
- 19:18Speaker 3: one thing, but in person, right then, deep down, I
- 19:23Speaker 3: think I knew what you were, and I didn't let
- 19:26Speaker 3: myself admit it, because if there was the slightest chance
- 19:30Speaker 3: that you were my mate, they would have done such
- 19:33Speaker 3: unspeakable things to you, Pharaoh. So I let you walk away.
- 19:38Speaker 3: I told myself after you were gone that maybe maybe
- 19:41Speaker 3: the Cauldron had been kind and not cruel, for letting
- 19:44Speaker 3: me see you just once, a gift for what I
- 19:48Speaker 3: was enduring. And when you were gone, I found those
- 19:52Speaker 3: three picks. I broke into their minds, reshaping their lives,
- 19:57Speaker 3: their histories, and drag them before Amarantha. I made them
- 20:01Speaker 3: confess to conspiring to find other rebels. That night, I
- 20:05Speaker 3: made them lie and claimed that they hated her. I
- 20:08Speaker 3: watched her carve them up while they were still alive,
- 20:12Speaker 3: protesting their innocence. I enjoyed it because I knew what
- 20:16Speaker 3: they had wanted to do to you. I knew that
- 20:19Speaker 3: it would have paled in comparison to what Amarantha would
- 20:21Speaker 3: have done if she found you.
- 20:23Speaker 5: I wrapped a hander on my throat.
- 20:25Speaker 3: I had my reasons to be out. Then, Do not think, Farah,
- 20:29Speaker 3: that it did not cost me. I didn't know that
- 20:33Speaker 3: you were with Tamlin, that you were staying at the
- 20:35Speaker 3: spring Court. Amarantha sent me that day after the summer solstice.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Because I'd been so successful on camlon May, I was
- 20:43Speaker 3: prepared to mock him, maybe pick a fight. But then
- 20:46Speaker 3: I got into that room, and the scent was familiar,
- 20:50Speaker 3: but hidden. And then I saw the plate and felt
- 20:54Speaker 3: the glamor, and there you were, living in my second
- 21:00Speaker 3: most enemies house, dining with him, reeking of his scent,
- 21:05Speaker 3: looking at him like like you loved him.
- 21:10Speaker 5: The whites of his knuckles showed.
- 21:12Speaker 3: And I decided that I had to scare Tamlin. I
- 21:15Speaker 3: had to scare you and Lucian, but mostly Tamlin, because
- 21:19Speaker 3: I saw how he looked at you too, So what
- 21:21Speaker 3: I did that.
- 21:22Speaker 5: Day, his lips were pale tight.
- 21:25Speaker 3: I broke into your mind and held it enough that
- 21:28Speaker 3: you felt it, that it terrified you, hurt you. I
- 21:32Speaker 3: made Tamlin beg as Amarantha had made me beg, to
- 21:36Speaker 3: show him how powerless he was to save you. And
- 21:39Speaker 3: I prayed my performance was enough to get him to
- 21:42Speaker 3: send you away back to the human realm, away from Amarantha,
- 21:46Speaker 3: because she was going to find you if you broke
- 21:49Speaker 3: that curse. She was going to find you and kill you.
- 21:52Speaker 3: And I was so selfish, I was so stupidly selfish
- 21:56Speaker 3: that I couldn't walk away without knowing your name. And
- 21:58Speaker 3: you were looking at me like I was a monster.
- 22:01Speaker 3: So I told myself it didn't matter anyway. But you
- 22:04Speaker 3: lied when I asked. I knew you did. I had
- 22:06Speaker 3: your mind in my hands, and you had the defiance
- 22:09Speaker 3: and force it to lie to my face. So I
- 22:11Speaker 3: walked away from you again. I vomited my guts up.
- 22:14Speaker 3: As soon as I left.
- 22:16Speaker 5: My lips wobbled, and I pressed them together.
- 22:20Speaker 3: I checked back once to ensure you were gone. I
- 22:23Speaker 3: went with them the day they sacked the manner to
- 22:26Speaker 3: make my performance complete I told Amarantha the name of
- 22:30Speaker 3: that girl, thinking you had invented it. I had no idea.
- 22:34Speaker 3: I had no idea she'd send her cronies to retrieve Claire.
- 22:38Speaker 3: But if I admitted my lie, I broke into Claire's
- 22:43Speaker 3: head when they brought her under the mountain. I took
- 22:45Speaker 3: away her pain and told her to scream when expected to.
- 22:49Speaker 3: So they they did those things to her, and I
- 22:53Speaker 3: tried to make it right. But after a week I
- 22:56Speaker 3: couldn't let them do it hurt her like that anymore.
- 23:00Speaker 3: While they tortured her, I slipped into her mind again
- 23:02Speaker 3: and ended it. She didn't feel any pain, She felt
- 23:06Speaker 3: none of what they did to her, even at the end.
- 23:09Speaker 3: But I still see her and my men and the
- 23:13Speaker 3: others that I killed for Amorantha.
- 23:16Speaker 5: Two tears slipped down his cheeks, swift and cold. He
- 23:20Speaker 5: didn't wipe them away.
- 23:21Speaker 3: I thought it was done after that of Claire's death.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Amarantha believed you were dead, so you were safe and
- 23:27Speaker 3: far away, and my people were safe, and Tamlin had lost,
- 23:31Speaker 3: so it was done. We were done. But then I
- 23:37Speaker 3: was in the back of the throne the day the
- 23:39Speaker 3: adder brought you in, and I have never known such
- 23:42Speaker 3: horror fra as I did when I watched you make
- 23:45Speaker 3: that bargain, irrational, stupid terror. I didn't know you, I
- 23:50Speaker 3: didn't even know your name, but I thought of those painters' hands,
- 23:55Speaker 3: the flowers i'd seen you create, and how she'd delight
- 23:58Speaker 3: in breaking your fingers. Upon part, I had to stand
- 24:01Speaker 3: and watch as the Adder and its cronies beat you.
- 24:05Speaker 3: I had to watch to discuss and hatred on your
- 24:08Speaker 3: face as you looked at me, watched me threaten to
- 24:12Speaker 3: shatter Lucian's mind. And then then I learned your name.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Hearing you say it, it was like an answer to
- 24:20Speaker 3: a question I've been asking for five hundred years. I
- 24:23Speaker 3: decided then and there that I was going to fight,
- 24:26Speaker 3: and I would fight dirty and kill, and torture and manipulate,
- 24:30Speaker 3: but I was going to fight. If there was a
- 24:33Speaker 3: friend us from Amarantha, you were it, I thought. I
- 24:38Speaker 3: thought the Cauldron had been sending me these dreams to
- 24:40Speaker 3: tell me that you would be the one to save us,
- 24:44Speaker 3: save my people. So I watched your first trial, pretending,
- 24:49Speaker 3: always pretending to be that person you hated when you
- 24:53Speaker 3: were hurt so badly against the Worm, I found my
- 24:55Speaker 3: way in with you, a way to defy Amarantha, to
- 24:59Speaker 3: spread the seeds of home to those who knew how
- 25:01Speaker 3: to read the message, in a way to keep you
- 25:03Speaker 3: alive without seeming too suspicious, And a way to get
- 25:07Speaker 3: back at Tamlin, to use him against Amarantha. Yes, but
- 25:12Speaker 3: to get back at him from my mother and sister,
- 25:15Speaker 3: and for having you when we made that bargain. You
- 25:22Speaker 3: are so hateful that I knew I'd done my job well,
- 25:25Speaker 3: so we endured it. I made you dress like that
- 25:28Speaker 3: so Amarantha wouldn't suspect it, made you drink the wine
- 25:31Speaker 3: so you would not remember the nightly horrors in that mountain,
- 25:35Speaker 3: And that last night when I found you two in
- 25:37Speaker 3: the hall, I was jealous. I was jealous of him,
- 25:42Speaker 3: and pissed off that he'd used that one shot of
- 25:45Speaker 3: being unnoticed not to get you out, but to be
- 25:48Speaker 3: with you. And Amarantha saw that jealousy. She saw me
- 25:53Speaker 3: kissing you to hide the evidence. But she saw why
- 25:56Speaker 3: for the first time. She saw why. So that night,
- 26:01Speaker 3: after I left you, I had to service her. She
- 26:06Speaker 3: kept me there longer than usual, trying to squeeze the
- 26:09Speaker 3: answers out of me. But I gave her what she
- 26:12Speaker 3: wanted to hear, that you were nothing, that you were
- 26:15Speaker 3: human garbage, that I use and discard you. Afterward, I
- 26:21Speaker 3: wanted to see you one last time alone. I thought
- 26:25Speaker 3: about telling you everything, but who had become who you
- 26:30Speaker 3: thought I was. I didn't dare shatter that deception. But
- 26:34Speaker 3: your final trial came, and when she started torturing you,
- 26:38Speaker 3: something snapped in a way I couldn't explain. Only that scene,
- 26:41Speaker 3: you bleeding and screaming, undid me. It broke me at last,
- 26:45Speaker 3: and I knew as I picked up the knife to
- 26:47Speaker 3: kill her. I knew right then what you were. I
- 26:51Speaker 3: knew that you were my mate, and you were in
- 26:54Speaker 3: love with another male and had destroyed yourself to save him,
- 26:59Speaker 3: and that that I didn't care if you were going
- 27:02Speaker 3: to die. I was going to die with you. I
- 27:05Speaker 3: couldn't stop thinking it over and over as you screamed
- 27:09Speaker 3: as I tried to kill her. You were my mate,
- 27:11Speaker 3: my mate, my mate. But then she snapped your neck.
- 27:17Speaker 5: Tears rolled down his face, and I felt you die.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Tears were sliding down my own cheeks.
- 27:23Speaker 3: And this beautiful, wonderful thing that had come into my life,
- 27:27Speaker 3: this gift from the cauldron. It was gone, and my
- 27:31Speaker 3: desperation I clung to that bond, not the bargain. The
- 27:36Speaker 3: bargain was nothing. The bargain was like a copweb. But
- 27:39Speaker 3: I grabbed that bond between us and I tucked. I
- 27:43Speaker 3: willed you to hold on, to stay with me, because
- 27:47Speaker 3: if we could get free, if we could get free,
- 27:50Speaker 3: then all seven of us were there. We could bring
- 27:53Speaker 3: you back. And I didn't care if I had to
- 27:55Speaker 3: slice into all of their minds to do it, I'd
- 27:58Speaker 3: make them save you.
- 28:00Speaker 5: His hands were shaking.
- 28:01Speaker 3: You'd freed us with your last breath and my power.
- 28:05Speaker 3: I wrapped my power around the bond, the mating bond.
- 28:09Speaker 3: I can feel you flickering there, holding on home Home
- 28:14Speaker 3: had It's.
- 28:15Speaker 2: A mating bond.
- 28:17Speaker 1: It's not just some bond.
- 28:19Speaker 4: It's a mating bond she.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Which we know is so rare.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Oh dude, this laid up man.
- 28:31Speaker 1: I said it before. This is crazy. I think you're
- 28:35Speaker 1: going to be wrong with the bond.
- 28:36Speaker 5: I told the Bone carver, not Talon, not the spring Court,
- 28:41Speaker 5: but hand.
- 28:42Speaker 3: So I'm Moranta died and I spoke to the high
- 28:45Speaker 3: Lord's mind to mind, convincing them to come forward to
- 28:49Speaker 3: offer that spark of power. None of them disagreed. I
- 28:52Speaker 3: think they were too stunned to think of saying no.
- 28:55Speaker 3: And I again had to watch as Tamlin held you,
- 29:00Speaker 3: kissed you. I wanted to go home to Volars, but
- 29:03Speaker 3: I had to stay to make sure things were set
- 29:06Speaker 3: in motion, that you were all right. So I waited
- 29:09Speaker 3: as long as I could. Then I sent a tug
- 29:12Speaker 3: through the bond. Then you came to find me. I
- 29:16Speaker 3: almost told you then, but you were so sad and tired,
- 29:21Speaker 3: and from once you looked at me like like I
- 29:25Speaker 3: was worth something. So I promised myself that the next
- 29:28Speaker 3: time I saw you, i'd free you of the bargain,
- 29:31Speaker 3: because I was selfish and I knew that if I
- 29:34Speaker 3: let you go right then he'd lock you up and
- 29:36Speaker 3: I'd never get to see you again. When I went
- 29:39Speaker 3: to leave you, I think transforming you into fame made
- 29:42Speaker 3: the bond lock into place permanently. I'd known it existed,
- 29:47Speaker 3: but it hit me then, hit me so strong that
- 29:50Speaker 3: I panicked. I knew if I stayed a second longer,
- 29:53Speaker 3: I'd damn the consequences and take you with me, and
- 29:57Speaker 3: you'd hate me forever. I landed at the night Court
- 30:00Speaker 3: right as Moore was waiting for me, and I was
- 30:02Speaker 3: so frantic, so unhinged, that I told her everything. I
- 30:06Speaker 3: hadn't seen her in fifty years, and my first words
- 30:09Speaker 3: to her were, She's my mate. And for three months,
- 30:13Speaker 3: for three months, I tried to convince myself that you
- 30:16Speaker 3: were better off without me. I tried to convince myself
- 30:20Speaker 3: that everything I'd done had made you hate me. But
- 30:24Speaker 3: I felt you through the bond, through your open mental shields.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I felt your pain and sadness and loneliness. I felt
- 30:33Speaker 3: you struggling to escape the darkness of Amarantha the same
- 30:35Speaker 3: way I was. I heard you were going to marry him,
- 30:39Speaker 3: and I told myself you were happy. I should let
- 30:42Speaker 3: you be happy, even if it killed me, even if
- 30:45Speaker 3: you were my mate, you'd earn that happiness. The day
- 30:48Speaker 3: of your wedding, I planned to get ripprooring drunk with Cassian,
- 30:51Speaker 3: who had no idea why. But then I felt you again.
- 30:57Speaker 3: I felt your panic and Despair'd you pick someone, anyone, yeah,
- 31:02Speaker 3: to save you? I lost it. I went out to
- 31:05Speaker 3: the wedding and barely remembered who I was supposed to be,
- 31:09Speaker 3: the part I was supposed to play. All I could see,
- 31:12Speaker 3: was you in your stupid wedding dress, so thin, so
- 31:17Speaker 3: so thin and pale, And I wanted to kill him
- 31:20Speaker 3: for it, but I had to get you out, had
- 31:23Speaker 3: to call in that bargain just once, to get you away,
- 31:27Speaker 3: to see if you were all right.
- 31:28Speaker 5: Reese looked up at me, eyes desolate.
- 31:31Speaker 3: It killed me, Pharaoh, to send you back, to see
- 31:34Speaker 3: you waste away month by month. It killed me to
- 31:37Speaker 3: know he was sharing your bed, not just because you
- 31:41Speaker 3: were my mate, but because I.
- 31:43Speaker 5: He glanced down, then up at me again.
- 31:45Speaker 3: I knew, I knew I was in love with you
- 31:48Speaker 3: that moment I picked up the knife to kill Amarantha.
- 31:52Speaker 3: When you finally came here, I decided I wouldn't tell
- 31:55Speaker 3: you any of it. I wouldn't let you out of
- 31:57Speaker 3: the bargain, because your hatred was better than facing the
- 32:00Speaker 3: two alternatives that you felt nothing for me, or that
- 32:04Speaker 3: you might feel something similar. And if I let myself
- 32:08Speaker 3: love you, you would be taken from me the way
- 32:11Speaker 3: my family was, the way my friends were. So I
- 32:15Speaker 3: didn't tell you. I watched as you faded away until
- 32:19Speaker 3: that day, that day he locked you up. I would
- 32:23Speaker 3: have killed him if he had been there, but I
- 32:26Speaker 3: broke some very very fundamental rules in taking you away.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Amron said that if I got you to admit that
- 32:32Speaker 3: we were mates, it would keep any trouble from our door.
- 32:35Speaker 3: But I couldn't force the bond on you. I couldn't
- 32:39Speaker 3: try to seduce you into accepting the bond either, even
- 32:43Speaker 3: if it gave Tamlin license to wage war on me.
- 32:46Speaker 3: You had been through so much already. I didn't want
- 32:49Speaker 3: you to think that everything I did was to win you,
- 32:52Speaker 3: just to keep my land safe. But I couldn't. I
- 32:56Speaker 3: couldn't stop being around you and loving you and wanting you.
- 33:01Speaker 3: I still can't stay away.
- 33:06Speaker 5: Finally healing that.
- 33:10Speaker 4: Okay, Okay, I think that was the other chapter, chapter
- 33:13Speaker 4: fifty four.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Okay, chapter fifty four, being fat juicy lead up. Whoa,
- 33:19Speaker 2: I but you feel real fucking stupid right about now?
- 33:22Speaker 4: Yeah? Bro, I want to say, how does Sarah j
- 33:26Speaker 4: Mask think of that? How does she possibly plan that?
- 33:30Speaker 1: I can't how does anyone think about it? I couldn't
- 33:33Speaker 1: be genuinely could mind blown.
- 33:36Speaker 4: It's better than I thought. Yeah, I knew something good
- 33:39Speaker 4: was happening, but that story.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Wow, No better than I thought?
- 33:44Speaker 5: Wow?
- 33:44Speaker 1: Bro?
- 33:45Speaker 2: Well no, yeah, I'm not gonna I it. It felt
- 33:48Speaker 2: really good. Just hearing him talk for a whole for
- 33:50Speaker 2: a whole chapter, felt really good. I love to be fair.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I do we talk. We talked about it, but I
- 33:56Speaker 2: do love him. I'm gonna be honest, dude. But that
- 33:59Speaker 2: felt good.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Wow. I'm so excited.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Wow.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Okay, guys, so how do we prepare? I don't know,
- 34:07Speaker 1: but I guess I guess we just get into it.
- 34:15Speaker 1: What do you think sauld happened?
- 34:16Speaker 4: I think she's gonna be like, oh my god, I
- 34:18Speaker 4: didn't realize, as she always does. Yeah, I didn't know
- 34:20Speaker 4: you did all that.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, well, to be fair, he didn't tell us.
- 34:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 34:24Speaker 4: But still, and then I reckon, how can she assume?
- 34:26Speaker 4: I reckon, you're right, and he's gonna go, yes, Fairwell,
- 34:29Speaker 4: I love you.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Yeah, so there's no argument because I said predictions last
- 34:33Speaker 2: episode that there's going to be an argument, and he's going.
- 34:35Speaker 4: To say because I fucking love you very well.
- 34:38Speaker 2: But he said it very gently just then, so it's
- 34:41Speaker 2: going to be more of a loving thing.
- 34:42Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, that's fine to whur.
- 34:47Speaker 5: The soup was now boiling, and lightdled it into a ball.
- 34:50Speaker 5: He watched every step I took to the table, the
- 34:52Speaker 5: steaming ball in my hands. I stopped before him, staring down.
- 34:57Speaker 5: You love me, receded, and I wondered if love was
- 35:02Speaker 5: too weak a word for what he felt, what he'd
- 35:04Speaker 5: done for me, for what I felt for him. I
- 35:07Speaker 5: set the bowl down before him, then eat. I watched
- 35:11Speaker 5: him consume every spoonful, his eyes starting between where I
- 35:15Speaker 5: stood in the soup, and when he was done, he
- 35:17Speaker 5: sat down his spoon.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Aren't you going to say anything?
- 35:20Speaker 5: I was going to tell you what I decided the
- 35:22Speaker 5: moment I saw you on the threshold. Raes twisted in
- 35:25Speaker 5: his seat toward me, and now aware of every breath,
- 35:29Speaker 5: every movement, I sat in his lap. His hands gently
- 35:33Speaker 5: braised my hips as I studied his face. And now
- 35:36Speaker 5: I want you to know, reesand that I love you.
- 35:39Speaker 5: I want you to know. His lips trembled, and I
- 35:42Speaker 5: brushed away the tears that escaped down his cheek. I
- 35:45Speaker 5: want you to know that I am broken and healing,
- 35:49Speaker 5: but every piece of my heart belongs to you, and
- 35:52Speaker 5: I am honored, honored to be your mate. His arms
- 35:55Speaker 5: wrapped around me, and he pressed his forehead to my shoulder,
- 35:59Speaker 5: his shaking I stroked a hand through his silken hair.
- 36:03Speaker 5: I love you. I hadn't dared see the words in
- 36:07Speaker 5: my head, and I'd endure every second of it over
- 36:09Speaker 5: again so I could find you. And if war comes,
- 36:12Speaker 5: we'll face it together. I won't let them take me
- 36:15Speaker 5: from you, and I won't let them take you from
- 36:18Speaker 5: me either. Race looked up, his face gleaming with tears.
- 36:23Speaker 5: He went still as I leaned in, kissing away one tear,
- 36:26Speaker 5: then the other, as he had once kissed away mine,
- 36:30Speaker 5: and my lips were wet and salty with them. I
- 36:33Speaker 5: pulled back far enough to see his eyes. You're mine.
- 36:37Speaker 5: His body shuddered with what might have been a sob,
- 36:40Speaker 5: but his lips found my own. It was gentle, soft,
- 36:45Speaker 5: the kiss he might have given me if we'd been
- 36:47Speaker 5: granted time and peace to meet across our two separate
- 36:50Speaker 5: worlds to court each other. I slid my arms around
- 36:53Speaker 5: his shoulders, opening my mouth to him, and his tongue
- 36:57Speaker 5: slipped in, caressing my own mate, my mate. He hardened
- 37:04Speaker 5: against me, and I crowned into his mouth. The sound
- 37:08Speaker 5: snapped whatever leash she'd had on himself, and r Sam
- 37:11Speaker 5: scooped me up in a smooth movement before laying me
- 37:13Speaker 5: on the table amongst and on top of all the paints.
- 37:18Speaker 5: He deep into the kiss, and I wrapped my legs
- 37:21Speaker 5: around his back, hooking him closer. He tore his lips
- 37:24Speaker 5: from my mouth to my neck, where he dragged his
- 37:26Speaker 5: teeth and tongue down my skin. As his hand slid
- 37:29Speaker 5: under my sweater and went up up to cut my breasts.
- 37:33Speaker 5: I arched into the touch and lifted my arms as
- 37:36Speaker 5: he peeled away my sweater in one easy motion, Ese
- 37:39Speaker 5: pulled back to survey me. My body naked from the
- 37:43Speaker 5: waist up. Paint soaked into my hair, my arms, but
- 37:47Speaker 5: all I could think of was his mouth as it
- 37:49Speaker 5: lowered to my breast and sucked, his tongue flicking against
- 37:52Speaker 5: my nipple. I plunged my fingers into his hair, and
- 37:56Speaker 5: he breezed a hand beside my head, smack atop a
- 37:59Speaker 5: pellette of paint. I watched breathless as he took that
- 38:05Speaker 5: hand and traced a circle around my breast, the lower
- 38:08Speaker 5: until he painted a downward arrow beneath my belly button.
- 38:11Speaker 3: Unless you forget where this is going to end.
- 38:14Speaker 5: O his mouth on my heather breast, he ground his
- 38:18Speaker 5: hips against me, teasing, oh, teasing me so horribly that
- 38:22Speaker 5: I had to touch him, had to just feel more
- 38:25Speaker 5: of him. There was paint all over my hands, my arms,
- 38:29Speaker 5: but I didn't care. As I grabbed at his clothes,
- 38:31Speaker 5: he shifted enough to let me remove them, weapons and weather,
- 38:34Speaker 5: thudding to the ground, revealing that beautiful tattooed body, the
- 38:39Speaker 5: powerful muscles and wings now peeking above them. My mate,
- 38:44Speaker 5: My mate. His mouth crashed into mine, his bearskin so
- 38:48Speaker 5: warm against my own, and I gripped his face, smearing
- 38:52Speaker 5: paint there too, smearing it in his hair until great
- 38:55Speaker 5: streaks of blue and red and green ran through it.
- 38:58Speaker 5: His hands fell my waist, and I bucked my hips
- 39:01Speaker 5: off the table to help him remove my socks, my leggings.
- 39:04Speaker 5: Raese pulled back again, and I let out a park
- 39:07Speaker 5: of protest that choked off into a gasp as he
- 39:10Speaker 5: gripped my thighs and yanked into the edge of the table,
- 39:13Speaker 5: threw paints and brushes and cups of water, cooked my
- 39:16Speaker 5: legs over his shoulders to rest on either side of
- 39:19Speaker 5: those beautiful wings, and knelt before me, knelt on those
- 39:22Speaker 5: stars and mountains inked on his knees. He would bow
- 39:26Speaker 5: for no one and nothing but his mate, his equal.
- 39:30Speaker 6: Oh.
- 39:31Speaker 5: The first lick of Riisan's tongue set me on fire.
- 39:33Speaker 3: I want you split out on a table like my
- 39:36Speaker 3: own personal feast.
- 39:38Speaker 5: He growled his approval at my moan, my taste, and
- 39:41Speaker 5: unleashed himself on me entirely, a hand pinning my hips
- 39:45Speaker 5: to the table. He worked me in great sweeping strokes,
- 39:48Speaker 5: and when his tongue slit inside me, I reached up
- 39:51Speaker 5: to grip the edge of the table, to grip the
- 39:53Speaker 5: edge of the world that I was very near to
- 39:55Speaker 5: falling off. He licked and kissed his way to the
- 39:58Speaker 5: apex of my thighs, just as his fingers replaced where
- 40:01Speaker 5: his mouth had been pumping inside me. As he sucked
- 40:04Speaker 5: his teeth, scraping ever so slightly, I flowed off the
- 40:07Speaker 5: table as my climax shuttered through me, splintering my consciousness
- 40:12Speaker 5: into a million pieces. He kept licking me, fingers still
- 40:16Speaker 5: moving grace Now. I wanted him now, but he remained kneeling,
- 40:22Speaker 5: feasting on me, that hand pinning me to the table.
- 40:26Speaker 5: I went over the edge again, and only when I
- 40:29Speaker 5: was trembling, half sobbing limp with pleasure, greased rise from
- 40:33Speaker 5: the floor. He looked me over naked, covered in paint,
- 40:38Speaker 5: his own face and body smeared with it, and gave
- 40:41Speaker 5: me a slow, satisfied male smile.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Your mind all.
- 40:46Speaker 5: He hefted me up into his arms. I wanted the wall.
- 40:50Speaker 5: I wanted him to just take me against the wall,
- 40:52Speaker 5: but he carried me into the room I'd been using
- 40:54Speaker 5: and set me down on the bed with heart breaking gentleness.
- 40:57Speaker 5: Holy naked, I watched his un buttoned his pants and
- 41:01Speaker 5: the considerable length of him sprang free, and mouth went
- 41:05Speaker 5: dry at the side of him. I wanted him, wanted
- 41:09Speaker 5: every glorious inch of him, and me wanted to clawed
- 41:12Speaker 5: him until our souls were forged together. He didn't say
- 41:15Speaker 5: anything as he came over me, wings tucked in tight.
- 41:18Speaker 5: He'd never gone to bed with the female while his
- 41:20Speaker 5: wings were out, but I was his mate. He would
- 41:23Speaker 5: yield only for me, and I wanted to touch him.
- 41:28Speaker 5: I leaned up, reaching over his shoulder to caress the
- 41:30Speaker 5: powerful curve of his wing. I watched his cock twitch later, indeed,
- 41:39Speaker 5: his mouth fell mine, the kiss open and deep, the
- 41:42Speaker 5: clash of tongues and teeth. He laid me down on
- 41:45Speaker 5: the pillows, and I locked my legs around his back,
- 41:48Speaker 5: careful of the wings, though I stopped caring as he
- 41:51Speaker 5: nudged at my entrance and paused play. Later, his laps
- 41:57Speaker 5: scattered along my bones, and in and in and in.
- 42:03Speaker 5: I could hardly breathe hardly think beyond where our bodies
- 42:07Speaker 5: were joined. He stilled inside me, letting me adjust, and
- 42:11Speaker 5: I opened my eyes to find him staring.
- 42:13Speaker 3: Down at me. Say it again, dear Mine.
- 42:17Speaker 5: Reese pulled out slightly and thrust back in slow, so
- 42:21Speaker 5: tortuously slow, dear Mine Again. He pulled out, then thrust
- 42:27Speaker 5: in dear Mine again, faster, deeper this time. I felt it. Then,
- 42:34Speaker 5: the bond between us like an unbreakable chain, like an
- 42:38Speaker 5: undimmable ray of light. With each pounding stroke, the bond
- 42:42Speaker 5: glowed clearer and brighter and stronger. Hear Mine. I tracked
- 42:47Speaker 5: my hands through his hair, down his back, across his wings.
- 42:52Speaker 5: My friend through many dangers, my lover who had healed
- 42:55Speaker 5: my broken and weary soul, My mate who had waited
- 42:59Speaker 5: for me again all hope, despite all odds. I moved
- 43:03Speaker 5: my hips in time with his. He kissed me over
- 43:06Speaker 5: and over, and both of our faces turned damp. Every
- 43:10Speaker 5: inch of me burned and tightened. I love you, oh,
- 43:15Speaker 5: at least tore fu my body. And he pounded into me,
- 43:18Speaker 5: hard and fast, drawing out my pleasure until I felt
- 43:21Speaker 5: and saw and smelled that bond between us, until our
- 43:25Speaker 5: sense merged, and I was his and he was mine,
- 43:29Speaker 5: and we were the beginning and middle and end. We
- 43:33Speaker 5: were a song that had been sung from the very
- 43:35Speaker 5: first ember of light in the world. Prace came slamming
- 43:40Speaker 5: into the hilt outside. The mountains trembled the remaining snow
- 43:45Speaker 5: rushing from them in a cascade of glittering white, only
- 43:48Speaker 5: to be swallowed up by the waiting night below.
- 43:51Speaker 1: That's kind of sure, silence fell.
- 43:56Speaker 5: I took his paint smeared face between my own colorful
- 43:58Speaker 5: hands and made him look at me. His eyes were
- 44:02Speaker 5: radiant like the stars I'd painted once long ago, and
- 44:05Speaker 5: I smiled at Reese's I let that meeting bud shine
- 44:09Speaker 5: clear and luminous between us.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Dude, I think that's the end of the chapter.
- 44:19Speaker 5: I think so true.
- 44:20Speaker 4: Wow, I'm so happy.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Oh wow, that was so wholesome I am. I am
- 44:27Speaker 1: it too unstoppable.
- 44:30Speaker 4: Oh, I think they just made a baby.
- 44:37Speaker 1: I think you're right, that was your prediction.
- 44:41Speaker 4: Yeah, she didn't even question it.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Dude, I could cry. I could cry from happiness.
- 44:49Speaker 4: Oh the lead up, Oh it was so I'm glad
- 44:53Speaker 4: we were wrong about like a fire and then some
- 44:55Speaker 4: angry sexy we did say, but I love making.
- 44:58Speaker 1: But it was so beautiful and pure.
- 45:00Speaker 4: You're right.
- 45:01Speaker 1: It was very long.
- 45:04Speaker 4: Long.
- 45:05Speaker 1: I was that sounded like it was missionary the whole time.
- 45:07Speaker 2: It was, Yeah, I'm a mission man.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Broese's or talk. He's like, I want to pin you
- 45:14Speaker 1: up against the wall. Yeah, I'll be able to.
- 45:16Speaker 2: He's like, the first time I beg you, I want
- 45:18Speaker 2: to be fucking you against the wall. Okay, bro you
- 45:21Speaker 2: ate her out then sucked up for two minutes.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Holy relatable.
- 45:29Speaker 2: See that's what I love about recent all Right, he
- 45:32Speaker 2: is the most powerful high lord Printhian has ever had.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Yet still relatable. He's a high lord of the people.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Two minutes, let's go, baby, two minutes all you need?
- 45:41Speaker 4: Let's I love you?
- 45:45Speaker 3: Shit.
- 45:46Speaker 4: Okay, Well that was something a little bit different for everyone.
- 45:51Speaker 1: That was something a little different.
- 45:52Speaker 4: So next week we're going to be finishing the book.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Next week you will be done. How many chapters are
- 45:59Speaker 1: that's sixty two, so I believe it's sixty.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Nine, sixty nine, so fifty six up to So look,
- 46:06Speaker 2: I had my chapter on fifty four, so I don't
- 46:09Speaker 2: need to read these now, Damn, bro, I kind of
- 46:12Speaker 2: want to read them.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Still.
- 46:13Speaker 3: That was good.
- 46:14Speaker 1: That was so good.
- 46:15Speaker 2: So around fifty six and the chapters go all the
- 46:19Speaker 2: way up, so there's not much left.
- 46:20Speaker 4: There's way more than the last six short ones all
- 46:23Speaker 4: what all the like things at the end. Here we
- 46:25Speaker 4: go acknowledgments, acknowledgments sixty nine, okay, sixty nine, but they
- 46:30Speaker 4: look like they get kind of short, and then like, yeah,
- 46:33Speaker 4: so we're finishing the book and we also have to
- 46:36Speaker 4: give predictions before we leave.
- 46:39Speaker 3: You, dude, I can't.
- 46:40Speaker 1: I don't know. I reckon. All they're going to get
- 46:43Speaker 1: up to.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Is the they will get the Book of Breathings from
- 46:48Speaker 2: the queens, and.
- 46:52Speaker 3: I think, like, not much.
- 46:55Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 46:56Speaker 4: I think there's going to be some animosity we Tamlin
- 46:59Speaker 4: within these chapters.
- 47:00Speaker 3: I like that a lot.
- 47:01Speaker 1: I think so.
- 47:02Speaker 4: I like that because he was mentioning if Farah admitted
- 47:07Speaker 4: their mate ship, he had nothing to play on.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Do you think, Tamlin, that that would set into place,
- 47:13Speaker 2: and Tamlin would now not do something.
- 47:14Speaker 4: Any maybe maybe because she's now admitted it. I think
- 47:18Speaker 4: there's so yes, the mortal queens give the there'll be
- 47:22Speaker 4: some something boring about that, and they'll get the other
- 47:24Speaker 4: half of the book and Admiral will try and read
- 47:27Speaker 4: it all. And then I reckon, Tamlin's something with Tamlin's
- 47:30Speaker 4: gonna happen with high burn and high burns all the
- 47:32Speaker 4: next book, but something within that, I reckon.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Well, the other one's called a Court of Wings and Ruin,
- 47:36Speaker 2: which really the acronym is akka war so war man.
- 47:41Speaker 3: I can't believe.
- 47:42Speaker 4: How does she think of that?
- 47:44Speaker 3: Unbelievable, unbelievable, unbelievable, believable.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Basically, yeah, So I think that all they're going to
- 47:51Speaker 2: do is get the Book of Breathings.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Amron's going to do her thing.
- 47:53Speaker 4: What do you reckon the group's gonna like do after
- 47:56Speaker 4: they find out they're fucked.
- 47:59Speaker 2: You can like as like my boy, I reckon Asrael
- 48:03Speaker 2: will not say anything Cassian because if you ever heard
- 48:09Speaker 2: about it's a thing, right, dudes don't get it, but
- 48:13Speaker 2: it's a thing about girls know when one of their
- 48:17Speaker 2: friends often a coworker, right, they know when a coworker
- 48:21Speaker 2: got lucky, then it's a thing. Right, Ah, so Moore's
- 48:25Speaker 2: going to know. But I think it's going to be
- 48:27Speaker 2: So it was such a fucking good love making session
- 48:30Speaker 2: that I think Cassian's also going to see it on
- 48:31Speaker 2: fair Well.
- 48:32Speaker 4: They probably heard it from the mountains.
- 48:34Speaker 3: When he came maybe.
- 48:36Speaker 4: Yeah, wow, dude, it's fucking interesting.
- 48:41Speaker 1: That was so much more wholesome than that. I thought, like,
- 48:45Speaker 1: I thought there was going to be like a lot
- 48:47Speaker 1: of like I loved.
- 48:47Speaker 4: It, still very different to what I had and pitch it.
- 48:50Speaker 4: In my mind, I thought it was gonna be a
- 48:51Speaker 4: lot of throwing against the wall, a lot of like
- 48:53Speaker 4: he's got me bent over and he's doing it from
- 48:55Speaker 4: my own type of stuff. Yeah, the paint played a part,
- 48:59Speaker 4: and that that bomb drop when she started paying the
- 49:02Speaker 4: night sky and she recently made her do it through
- 49:04Speaker 4: the bond.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Crazy. That's crazy, my dropped type moment. Fucking crazy. Guys.
- 49:09Speaker 1: We love ya, We got mate. We are pumping through
- 49:11Speaker 1: these books.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Yeah ye, we'll order the next book as well. So
- 49:15Speaker 2: yeah we're looking good.
- 49:17Speaker 1: Yeah, we love you. Stay bad
