- 0:00Speaker 1: When a six point seven light FM. Good morning, it's
- 0:02Speaker 1: Kebby Christine, producer Kristen and yeah, Kebby, this story is
- 0:06Speaker 1: interesting to me. There is an apartment in La and
- 0:09Speaker 1: you know, it's as expensive to live in La as
- 0:11Speaker 1: it is here. It's an ideal apartment. It's supposedly beautiful
- 0:15Speaker 1: in a great neighborhood. Twenty four hundred dollars a month.
- 0:19Speaker 1: You get hardwood flooring, shared laundry, a good sized kitchen
- 0:24Speaker 1: with art deco tiles, a full fridge. But there is
- 0:27Speaker 1: one thing you are not allowed to have if you
- 0:30Speaker 1: rent this apartment a stove.
- 0:33Speaker 2: You're kidding. No, do they give a reason? They just
- 0:36Speaker 2: say no.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Stone landlord does not want it. He is protecting his
- 0:41Speaker 1: art deco tile. I don't know what's going on there.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Is he afraid of a fire or something because they
- 0:45Speaker 2: know how HOA has a thing with no grills on
- 0:47Speaker 2: your balcony and all that.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I know, I live that, and you live that. I know. Yeah,
- 0:50Speaker 1: but you know there's people are debating because it's not
- 0:54Speaker 1: like he said no dishwasher or you know, no laundry
- 0:57Speaker 1: in the apartment, Like, okay, those are workarounds.
- 0:59Speaker 2: This is kind of an essential, but no stove. See
- 1:02Speaker 2: I back in my single day as Christine, I probably
- 1:05Speaker 2: could have survived without a stove or an oven. Absolutely,
- 1:09Speaker 2: I think I could because I when I was a
- 1:10Speaker 2: bachelor man, I ate out all the time.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I worked on a different side of the radio business
- 1:17Speaker 2: where I was taken out a lot. If I was
- 1:21Speaker 2: in a pinch, I knew I could, you know, pick
- 1:23Speaker 2: up the phone and order it. Okay, okay, I really
- 1:27Speaker 2: think I could survive with that I stove.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I guess he's looking for somebody like you, because I
- 1:32Speaker 1: don't see how I could do I just honestly don't
- 1:35Speaker 1: see how I could do it.
- 1:37Speaker 2: In fact, I have a friend of mine that came
- 1:39Speaker 2: to visit me. I lived in Hoboken for a while
- 1:41Speaker 2: and that's when I really pretty much ate out all
- 1:43Speaker 2: the time.
- 1:43Speaker 1: And that was your full on bachelor day, full on
- 1:45Speaker 1: bachelor yeah.
- 1:46Speaker 2: And I would walk to places and eat, you know,
- 1:48Speaker 2: it was like living in the city and Hoboken. And
- 1:50Speaker 2: I had a friend of mine that liked to cook,
- 1:51Speaker 2: and he wanted to check out my oven and he
- 1:53Speaker 2: opened up the oven and he went what And I
- 1:57Speaker 2: had the price tag still in the oven from when
- 2:00Speaker 2: I bought it like the sale oh like PC Richard
- 2:04Speaker 2: inside and the price inside hanging bangling inside, and he was.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Going to cook a meal for it. Like I was like,
- 2:12Speaker 1: we're not now, I never got it. You know, are
- 2:16Speaker 1: all out our former boss. We love him Chris. His
- 2:19Speaker 1: bachelor days, he didn't have any food in his apartment.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Zero food. There was common a bottle of water in
- 2:27Speaker 1: his fridge. And we know about this because we you know,
- 2:30Speaker 1: we hung out together with our friends and there was
- 2:33Speaker 1: just there was no food. And I said, well, what
- 2:35Speaker 1: do you do like for breakfast while I go out?
- 2:37Speaker 1: I'm in the city, so I that was.
- 2:39Speaker 2: My same thinking.
- 2:40Speaker 1: But you got like, I'm like, you don't even have
- 2:42Speaker 1: like coffee and half and half, Like you don't wake
- 2:44Speaker 1: up in the morning and at least want to make
- 2:46Speaker 1: coffee and some toast or something like a model apartment
- 2:49Speaker 1: like the Yes, oh oh it was spotless because he
- 2:53Speaker 1: had that and he had a cleaning person, right, and
- 2:55Speaker 1: there was nothing to clean.
- 2:57Speaker 2: But yeah, it's a great question though, would you take
- 3:00Speaker 2: that apartment in La No stove, but they have laundry
- 3:03Speaker 2: and everything else.
- 3:04Speaker 1: They have shared laundry. It's supposedly a beautiful apartment, beautiful place,
- 3:08Speaker 1: you've got everything. You are not allowed to have a stove.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You can't cook for yourself in your apartment.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Could you live without a stove? Give us a text
- 3:15Speaker 2: at four four three six three. I couldn't. I couldn't
- 3:17Speaker 2: imagine having a family without a stove. Obviously. Yeah my
- 3:21Speaker 2: thinking has changed since my home broken days, but yeah,
- 3:24Speaker 2: I think I could if I was, you know, a
- 3:26Speaker 2: long time ago.
