RIPTA is racing ahead with plans for a sleek, modern transit hub in downtown Providence — set to replace the aging Kennedy Plaza depot and unite bus and train services under one roof. Located just beside the Providence Train Station on a four-point-four-acre site, the new center will feature a glass-enclosed bus corridor, ample seating, restrooms, and seamless connections — all built atop safe ground over existing train tunnels.
