- 1:40Speaker 5: over rouses, especially that breakfast bar tomorrow. Hello, you get
- 1:47Speaker 5: your hands slapped again? You go over there? When I
- 1:52Speaker 5: wear this, when I wear this, uh sick ass shirt
- 1:56Speaker 5: I got on right now. You look at a guy
- 1:59Speaker 5: like me walking down the road, You're like, I guy's
- 2:01Speaker 5: got a lighter on him somewhere.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Then it might be in the shape of like a gun.
- 2:08Speaker 4: If you don't have If you don't have a lighter
- 2:10Speaker 4: with that outfit, you're doing it wrong. B Now, you
- 2:14Speaker 4: don't have any sleeves to roll up your cowboy killers
- 2:17Speaker 4: in you You put those puppies in your front.
- 2:19Speaker 5: Pocket from pocket, if that's what the front left ones for,
- 2:22Speaker 5: if you just ran out of already smoked a back.
- 2:26Speaker 2: If you enjoy Matthew shirt that is from Pancho that.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Is that was a limited edition right to bare arms, Jesus.
- 2:39Speaker 2: What you don't want to no? Nothing? Hey, how do
- 2:45Speaker 2: you think it's real? Though? I do you think President
- 2:47Speaker 2: Trump's gonna do picking that coach? Uh?
- 2:51Speaker 4: Probably you know, probably not gonna be dialed in finger
- 2:54Speaker 4: on the pulse.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Do what's going on here? M hmm? Man? That was something?
- 3:00Speaker 5: Yes, that was that was something that was a choice
- 3:02Speaker 5: for sure. That was something yesterday.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Everybody on the Ponderosa heard that saw that as well.
- 3:09Speaker 4: It just I don't know if they were real impressed.
- 3:12Speaker 4: I don't know they're too happy about it. Like I
- 3:17Speaker 4: just said it. I guess I like, okay, so full disclosure.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Like we had heard just like everybody that you know,
- 3:25Speaker 4: maybe Scott wasn't going to be involved in the next
- 3:28Speaker 4: head coaching hire, like those are some things you heard.
- 3:31Speaker 4: But I I never thought that the governor would come
- 3:36Speaker 4: out and speak so strongly against Scott Woodward in the
- 3:41Speaker 4: in the athletic director. Like it makes you wonder, like
- 3:43Speaker 4: what is the future of Scott as the athletic director. Yeah,
- 3:48Speaker 4: and I know, I know football is king, but Scott's
- 3:51Speaker 4: also had a lot of successful hires and other sports.
- 3:55Speaker 5: It was a weird situation. I think, I think it
- 3:57Speaker 5: was weird for everybody. I mean, it was kind of
- 3:59Speaker 5: a little bit. It's a weird time to try to
- 4:02Speaker 5: go like bodybag somebody. You know, there's kind of there's
- 4:05Speaker 5: like some there's got to be some sort of personal
- 4:07Speaker 5: beef there just kind of a weird situation and you
- 4:12Speaker 5: turned kind of turned like the talk of everybody saying, well,
- 4:16Speaker 5: this l is used clearly the number one job out there,
- 4:18Speaker 5: like clearly, and then out after that it's kind of
- 4:20Speaker 5: a mess, A little bit of a mess. Yeah, I mean,
- 4:24Speaker 5: what coach is going to say, well, if you got
- 4:25Speaker 5: that going on, like, why do I want to go
- 4:27Speaker 5: where I got to answer to politicians?
- 4:30Speaker 4: Yep, I don't. I just don't. Like I had a
- 4:36Speaker 4: I had a coach. I had a coach that everybody
- 4:39Speaker 4: would know his name. Send me the clip of that,
- 4:44Speaker 4: and the message was what do y'all have going.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Down on the bayou right now? Seriously? Yep. I was
- 4:54Speaker 2: just you.
- 4:54Speaker 5: Know, just keep the football to the football. Keep the
- 5:03Speaker 5: football to the football, peeps, That's what I would do.
- 5:07Speaker 5: Uh So now you kind of you're gonna have to
- 5:09Speaker 5: like in the court of public opinion around the country,
- 5:11Speaker 5: like it was everywhere, everywhere, everywhere, and it wasn't in
- 5:15Speaker 5: a good way because before that it was everywhere in
- 5:18Speaker 5: a then else.
- 5:19Speaker 2: She was the top job.
- 5:20Speaker 5: Yeah, top job, and it still is the top job,
- 5:22Speaker 5: don't get me wrong, but like that, let's just not like,
- 5:25Speaker 5: let's just not make a mess of things.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Wasn't a great look.
- 5:31Speaker 5: And I was shocked I was like when I felt, okay,
- 5:33Speaker 5: this is legitimately, I texted the.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Group this yesterday when I first saw it. Yeah, because someone.
- 5:38Speaker 5: Showed me the video and like you could, the video
- 5:42Speaker 5: wasn't like the actual official video.
- 5:44Speaker 2: It was like somebody's iPhone ye talking And I was.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Like, is like legitimately, thought in my brain, I was like, ha, satirical,
- 5:52Speaker 5: this is ai.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I was like, no, whoa, I was real. I don't
- 5:59Speaker 2: know it was.
- 6:01Speaker 5: It was so wild that I thought it was artificial
- 6:05Speaker 5: intelligent video that is a hand in the air, God's
- 6:09Speaker 5: honest truth. I thought that, but it wasn't.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Juisanna's in the news.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Yeah, And dude, the portion of like the governor and
- 6:23Speaker 4: the board right now, like where they're at without having
- 6:25Speaker 4: a president, Like I understand all that part of it,
- 6:27Speaker 4: and I've tried to explain that to a bunch of people.
- 6:29Speaker 4: And you're gonna have a president here in a couple
- 6:31Speaker 4: of weeks, and uh, you know, it's it's you got
- 6:34Speaker 4: to get some stability. And Landro's making a great point
- 6:37Speaker 4: during the last break, it's like, right now you don't
- 6:40Speaker 4: have that because you don't have a president. You have
- 6:44Speaker 4: an athletic director but do you really after what the
- 6:47Speaker 4: governor said, you don't have a full time head coach,
- 6:50Speaker 4: and obviously like you shouldn't, you couldn't because you wouldn't
- 6:53Speaker 4: have one this quick.
- 6:54Speaker 2: But you don't.
- 6:55Speaker 4: So you don't have a coach, you're not really sure
- 6:57Speaker 4: where the AD sits, and you don't have school president.
- 7:02Speaker 4: What do we always hear coaches at successful programs talk
- 7:06Speaker 4: about the alignment, the alignment between head coach ad president.
- 7:13Speaker 4: You talked to Kirby Smart, it's the first thing he's
- 7:16Speaker 4: gonna mention. President went to Georgia. Josh Brooks ad undergrad
- 7:24Speaker 4: at LSU, but also has a degree from Georgia. Kurbs
- 7:28Speaker 4: Smart has a degree from Georgia. I'm not saying you
- 7:29Speaker 4: have to trust me. I'm not saying go go hire
- 7:33Speaker 4: an LSU guy.
- 7:34Speaker 2: It's the only guy. I'm not saying that.
- 7:35Speaker 4: I'm saying they have like the truest alignment, and they
- 7:38Speaker 4: always they always talk about it.
- 7:41Speaker 2: You have to have that.
- 7:42Speaker 4: So if you don't, then like you want something the
- 7:44Speaker 4: AD don'ts The president wants something from the AD and
- 7:47Speaker 4: he doesn't want to do it, and it's just a mess.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Like you have to have that alignment.
- 7:51Speaker 4: And so not only does LSU not have alignment, they
- 7:54Speaker 4: don't have a president, and they have an ad that
- 7:58Speaker 4: doesn't know his future, don't have a head coach.
- 8:01Speaker 2: It's like a triple whammy right now.
- 8:05Speaker 5: Yeah, and and hopefully that it all gets Hopefully it
- 8:10Speaker 5: gets you know, it's it's it's fresh news. Yesterday, it
- 8:13Speaker 5: was something nobody expected, nobody would ever predict.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Or expect happen.
- 8:17Speaker 5: That isn't I don't know if that's ever happened in
- 8:20Speaker 5: college sports. Uh, high ranking political speaking out on state's
- 8:30Speaker 5: football program, like to that extent, right, Yeah, I'm sure
- 8:34Speaker 5: there's you know, governors out there there like you know,
- 8:37Speaker 5: go Longhorns or you know, go Badgers or whatever it is.
- 8:40Speaker 5: But like speaking out to that extent, they almost sound
- 8:43Speaker 5: like it's going to be in control. There's gonna have
- 8:44Speaker 5: to be some sort of like you know, and maybe
- 8:47Speaker 5: there already has. I have no idea public like statements
- 8:51Speaker 5: something like that to backtrack, to walk this back, because
- 8:55Speaker 5: because there is too many people that are pissed about it,
- 9:00Speaker 5: I don't know that there will be though or confused
- 9:03Speaker 5: about it.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Maybe that's a better word. I don't know.
- 9:05Speaker 5: Yeah, but from a football standpoint, It doesn't make the
- 9:09Speaker 5: job search any better, right, absolutely not, especially if you
- 9:15Speaker 5: want to go after one of these top tier, top
- 9:17Speaker 5: tier coaches. They're not gonna They're not gonna have somebody
- 9:20Speaker 5: over their shoulder. Yeah, you know that's that's not a
- 9:23Speaker 5: you know, a football person. It's it's not gonna happen.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:26Speaker 4: And like we talked about too, a lot of the
- 9:28Speaker 4: coaches that you would want to come here have such
- 9:31Speaker 4: strong ties to where they're currently at because that's where
- 9:34Speaker 4: they either played or went to school. Like it was
- 9:36Speaker 4: going to take a little bit more. It was not
- 9:38Speaker 4: just going to be about money. It was going to
- 9:40Speaker 4: be about the alignment that we're talking about and having
- 9:43Speaker 4: the things that you need to be a successful program.
- 9:46Speaker 4: And they're going to look at that and be like, man,
- 9:48Speaker 4: is that that something I can deal with knowing I
- 9:51Speaker 4: have to worry so much about the other portion of
- 9:54Speaker 4: it already.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Let me let me ask you this.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Do you think the Governor of Mississippi called Linkiff and
- 9:59Speaker 5: the yestery afternoon and say, hey, Bud, don't worry about
- 10:02Speaker 5: me not going to do that to you think that
- 10:05Speaker 5: governor of Georgia might have picked up the phone to
- 10:07Speaker 5: break key yesterday and be like, hey, dude.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Hey we got back whatever you need.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Yeah, maybe maybe not like to speculate though, it's fun.
- 10:21Speaker 2: It's not gonna be dull. It's going to be exciting.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Already going to be a dull dull moment here, and
- 10:26Speaker 4: like we talked about yesterday, the timing of it's going
- 10:29Speaker 4: to be tricky. It's going to be tricky. You hired
- 10:32Speaker 4: coach Oh at the end of November. You hired Brian
- 10:34Speaker 4: Kelly at the end of November. I was during a
- 10:36Speaker 4: four team playoff and Notre Dame still had an outside
- 10:41Speaker 4: shot to get in when Brian Kelly came here. But
- 10:44Speaker 4: almost every coach that we assume again we're assuming that
- 10:48Speaker 4: you're going to talk to Georgia tag Tulame, Louisville, h Vanderbilt,
- 10:58Speaker 4: Ore again, Old Miss all the playoff right now still,
- 11:03Speaker 4: so that's going to be interesting too. You've got a
- 11:06Speaker 4: high school signing or class, a signing class that you're
- 11:09Speaker 4: going to have to get signed and committed, and there's
- 11:14Speaker 4: a chance you don't have a coach now. You might
- 11:17Speaker 4: have a handshake back door or remember like those blow
- 11:21Speaker 4: up all the time. So you're gonna have to convince
- 11:24Speaker 4: players to come to LSU, not come play for coach A,
- 11:27Speaker 4: B or C.
- 11:30Speaker 2: And else. She's not the only one in that.
- 11:31Speaker 5: But it's such a tricky that's like this day and age,
- 11:34Speaker 5: Like we were talking to when early signing day is
- 11:36Speaker 5: December third, Then there's the portal windows and all that stuff.
- 11:39Speaker 5: And we had Chris Lowe on yesterday who said, if
- 11:42Speaker 5: you have the right guy, you wait, no matter how
- 11:44Speaker 5: long it is, like you've pinpointed a guy, you wait,
- 11:47Speaker 5: no matter what the repercussions are, because you know in
- 11:49Speaker 5: the long run it's going to pay off.
- 11:51Speaker 2: But like the problem is, there's such an inherent.
- 11:53Speaker 5: Risk with that because if you wait and he leaves
- 11:58Speaker 5: you at the altar, please you with your hand out
- 12:01Speaker 5: and be like, okay, now what now we have to
- 12:03Speaker 5: go to what our fifteenth choice or twentieth choice or
- 12:07Speaker 5: whatever choice that is, still he would do anything to
- 12:10Speaker 5: be here, Yeah, which is what you want. But that's
- 12:14Speaker 5: the risky run. But that's you know, I guess that's
- 12:17Speaker 5: what makes it kind of exciting. But uh, you just
- 12:20Speaker 5: have to be whoever that decision maker is going to be.
- 12:23Speaker 5: Oh man, what do you say you wanted? To be
- 12:26Speaker 5: on that committee.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Actually, ready, is there going to be a committee? Is
- 12:30Speaker 2: there just gonna be one guy? I don't know. I
- 12:32Speaker 2: don't vote for this thing.
- 12:34Speaker 4: That is something they said yesterday said the Board of
- 12:36Speaker 4: Supervisors was going to put together a committee to be
- 12:41Speaker 4: able to select the next head football coach. I want
- 12:45Speaker 4: to and also like can we vet? Can we vet
- 12:49Speaker 4: the committee to.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I?
- 12:53Speaker 4: I mean it with my whole heart. You gotta have
- 12:57Speaker 4: some ball knowers on this committee, Like you have to
- 13:03Speaker 4: have people that understand when that coach is talking about
- 13:06Speaker 4: their process, is it bull stuff or is it not
- 13:12Speaker 4: what they're selling? Is it what you know? Is it
- 13:16Speaker 4: what the buttoned up person wants to say to you know,
- 13:20Speaker 4: he's got the PowerPoint and he's ready to go. Or
- 13:22Speaker 4: is it what you have to have to make this
- 13:24Speaker 4: program successful?
- 13:25Speaker 2: Yep?
- 13:26Speaker 4: Like what are your plans? Who are your coordinators? Who
- 13:28Speaker 4: are your position coaches? Who are you retaining? Like you
- 13:32Speaker 4: got to have somebody on there that understands what that
- 13:35Speaker 4: coach is saying, and if that coach is telling the
- 13:38Speaker 4: truth or not, or if he's telling you what you
- 13:40Speaker 4: want to hear.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it's.
- 13:44Speaker 5: Authentic is the word when you hear somebody's talk and
- 13:48Speaker 5: you're like, God, yeah that's it.
- 13:52Speaker 2: That's right there.
- 13:53Speaker 5: Or you hear somebody else talking, it's like, m you
- 13:55Speaker 5: kind of sound like a politician, right, Your words are
- 13:57Speaker 5: really good?
- 13:58Speaker 2: Yeah, like yeah, those words are great. Put him on paper.
- 14:01Speaker 5: It reads really well, right, But like I'm looking at
- 14:04Speaker 5: your face, I'm looking at your words, I'm looking at
- 14:06Speaker 5: your delivery, and it's it's a little too polished.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Right.
- 14:09Speaker 5: I always said, like with a football coach, be careful
- 14:11Speaker 5: of polished speakers. Yeah, that doesn't mean good speakers, right,
- 14:16Speaker 5: I mean polished, Yeah, polished. Every single conversation is a
- 14:20Speaker 5: polished conversation is rehearsed.
- 14:23Speaker 2: You see it.
- 14:24Speaker 5: We kind of just saw it, right, Yeah, And I've
- 14:27Speaker 5: seen it with coaches in the NFL. Yes, none of
- 14:30Speaker 5: them were good.
- 14:31Speaker 4: When you listen to Jim Harball at the stand, does
- 14:34Speaker 4: he ever make a lick of sense? Sometimes to a
- 14:37Speaker 4: lot of people, it's clunky, right, it's not polished.
- 14:41Speaker 2: But he's speaking to his team. Yep.
- 14:43Speaker 4: His team understands what he's saying, you know, Like that's
- 14:46Speaker 4: that's like an example what we're talking about, Like, that's
- 14:48Speaker 4: who that man is. That's authentic. If you have a
- 14:52Speaker 4: conversation with Jim Harball off air. That's what you get.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Yep.
- 14:57Speaker 5: That I think that was kind of the disconnect between
- 15:01Speaker 5: Brian Kelly and LSU and the fan base aleast from
- 15:04Speaker 5: the court of public opinion throughout Louisiana was like I
- 15:08Speaker 5: got asked a billion times like, what do you think Kelly?
- 15:10Speaker 5: In the last four years? So what do you think
- 15:12Speaker 5: Brian Kelly? And then I would ask people, Hey, what
- 15:14Speaker 5: do you think Brian Kelly? And I would say ninety
- 15:16Speaker 5: nine percent of the time that my answer or the
- 15:19Speaker 5: other person's answer that I was around, was like, I
- 15:22Speaker 5: don't know, I think pretty good. Yeah, got the gout
- 15:25Speaker 5: the record. I really liked what he said the other day. Yeah,
- 15:28Speaker 5: I don't know if I liked how he said it.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:30Speaker 5: But the answer for four years was I don't know,
- 15:34Speaker 5: I think pretty good. I think that was the answer
- 15:36Speaker 5: for most people. Now, when he won, it's like, oh, yeah,
- 15:39Speaker 5: he's doing a good job. It's pretty good, pretty good,
- 15:41Speaker 5: pretty good. We'll see, we'll see what he's got, right,
- 15:44Speaker 5: let's keep him receipts. But when you go and get embarrassed,
- 15:49Speaker 5: it's like, nah, dude, this ain't it.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Yeah. Even the even the like post game.
- 16:03Speaker 4: Excuses right, like they were polished and they were like
- 16:09Speaker 4: they didn't tell you who it was and what the
- 16:12Speaker 4: identity was. There was no authenticity to those either, to
- 16:15Speaker 4: your point, Like my man, y'all heard me say before,
- 16:20Speaker 4: But like my dad's like full of quotes. He always was,
- 16:24Speaker 4: and his my favorite one that he ever said was
- 16:27Speaker 4: do you know why football pants don't have pockets? It
- 16:30Speaker 4: was there's no place to put all those excuses. Excuses
- 16:34Speaker 4: in football get you beat. And it always felt like
- 16:39Speaker 4: there was deep pockets in some of those post game pres.
- 16:42Speaker 5: Conference oh god, and like it's okay for a while
- 16:46Speaker 5: because it's like, well, I know people, I've heard of
- 16:48Speaker 5: it from.
- 16:49Speaker 2: You know, I've seen it on the socials Alaziers.
- 16:51Speaker 5: Why didn't these guys say things like, well it's happened, Well,
- 16:53Speaker 5: like it's our coach, it doesn't it's a coach.
- 16:58Speaker 4: It's like who the place that we love as much
- 17:01Speaker 4: as we do and we want the best.
- 17:02Speaker 2: For Yeah, we don't want we won't want nothing but
- 17:05Speaker 2: the best.
- 17:06Speaker 5: We we wanted nothing but Brian Kelly to be successful,
- 17:09Speaker 5: right right, he wasn't we wanted it. We heard the
- 17:12Speaker 5: words that's why the answer of like, what do you
- 17:14Speaker 5: think about Brian Kelly, I don't know. I think things
- 17:17Speaker 5: all right, Yeah, I don't know what's like. It was
- 17:20Speaker 5: always a wait and see, wait and see, wait and
- 17:22Speaker 5: see because the words were great, but your actions speak
- 17:28Speaker 5: so loud. I can't hear what you're saying.
- 17:33Speaker 2: At all.
- 17:34Speaker 4: All right, go to Supreme Rice dot com. Supreme Rice.
- 17:37Speaker 4: We love the jasmine long gray, medium grain brown rice.
- 17:39Speaker 4: You got so many different options. You can pick it
- 17:41Speaker 4: up at Rouse's all your local ag food stores, or
- 17:44Speaker 4: you can pick it up right there online at Supremerice

- 21:38Speaker 7: What about you, sir, No complaints, man, It's been been
- 21:42Speaker 7: a good day thus far, and I expect just to know.
- 21:45Speaker 7: Continue on, chef.
- 21:48Speaker 4: Are we passing out full sized candy bars there? And
- 21:51Speaker 4: Halloween or what?
- 21:54Speaker 7: I'm actually going to a Halloween party, So I'm gonna
- 21:57Speaker 7: I'm not going to be home for Halloween. For the kid,
- 22:00Speaker 7: he's gonna have to go to the neighbor's house.
- 22:02Speaker 2: You're gonna leave the b leave a bucket, right, oh man.
- 22:05Speaker 7: Taking the kids and the kids in my neighborhood or
- 22:07Speaker 7: he gonna.
- 22:10Speaker 2: But you gotta put the sign up that just says
- 22:12Speaker 2: take one praise.
- 22:13Speaker 7: Yeah, exactly. Just take one.
- 22:16Speaker 2: What, chef, what are you dressing up as? Halloween party?
- 22:19Speaker 7: Uh? I'm going as so my my fiance and I
- 22:23Speaker 7: are going as Johnny and June Carter Cash.
- 22:27Speaker 2: I mean, chef, can can can you play the guitar?
- 22:31Speaker 2: Can you sing us a Diddy?
- 22:33Speaker 7: Well? I mean I can't play the guitar, but I
- 22:35Speaker 7: can act like Johnny Cash Yellow.
- 22:40Speaker 4: There we go, There we go, There we go, there
- 22:43Speaker 4: we go. All right, I mean what, like, what's what's
- 22:46Speaker 4: the spread at this party? Like, are you going to
- 22:48Speaker 4: be making sure that everybody's taking care of We're talking
- 22:50Speaker 4: finger foods, what we talk gumbos?
- 22:54Speaker 7: Their party and it's actually so uh so the lady
- 22:58Speaker 7: who's throwing the party is got Mexican heritage and so
- 23:02Speaker 7: it's also a mix between Halloween and uh the Delos
- 23:06Speaker 7: Marthas and so ever, it's a it's a dead party everybody,
- 23:10Speaker 7: So you're dressing up as somebody who is not alive anymore.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, good idea, chef.
- 23:17Speaker 5: Like, so, I've had parties and we've hosted parties and
- 23:20Speaker 5: things like that, and I always get a little bit
- 23:22Speaker 5: nervous of like what we're making if there's somebody that
- 23:26Speaker 5: I've never I don't think I've ever had like a
- 23:28Speaker 5: like a trained professional chef come to my party. But
- 23:30Speaker 5: I've always had like people that are really good at cooking.
- 23:32Speaker 5: I'm always little bit nervous. I'm like, man, they probably
- 23:34Speaker 5: think this sucks, like you trying to into it.
- 23:38Speaker 7: People always get nervous when I come over to eat.
- 23:40Speaker 7: And the thing is that, you know, like I'm not
- 23:43Speaker 7: I'm not really a high maintenance guy, you know, like
- 23:45Speaker 7: the meal I don't have to cook. The meal lines
- 23:47Speaker 7: with most you know, like I appreciate when people cook
- 23:51Speaker 7: as a whole, and very rarely have I had a
- 23:54Speaker 7: meal that I was disappointed in, you know that somebody
- 23:56Speaker 7: else was preparing. You know. I'm I don't think so
- 24:00Speaker 7: highly of myself, you know what I mean, And so
- 24:03Speaker 7: I rather enjoy just you know, and having a meal
- 24:07Speaker 7: with somebody else. And I imagine there's gonna be some
- 24:10Speaker 7: alcohol there too, which kind of eases the woes and
- 24:12Speaker 7: anxieties of cooking.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Right, hashtag munchies.
- 24:17Speaker 4: I've got a mess of dove in the freezer from
- 24:19Speaker 4: this past weekend.
- 24:20Speaker 2: What's your favorite way to prepare dove?
- 24:23Speaker 7: Dove? Yep, you know, I like this stuff. And we
- 24:27Speaker 7: we used to do this mushroom duct cell with shallots, garnic,
- 24:32Speaker 7: all kinds of mushrooms chopped up into it. He sautee
- 24:35Speaker 7: it in butter and then deglaze it with with like
- 24:38Speaker 7: brandy or cognac, and you let the liquid escape out
- 24:42Speaker 7: of it enough or evaporate out of it enough that
- 24:44Speaker 7: kind of comes this thicker liquid are like sticker. You know,
- 24:49Speaker 7: it's not it's it's it's a compound almost, you know,
- 24:52Speaker 7: like it's it's a stuffing, but it's a little bit
- 24:54Speaker 7: looser than a stuff inside of the doves. And to
- 24:58Speaker 7: make this white chocolates butter sauce, that's a fur blanc
- 25:08Speaker 7: just you know, like you make your bloc and then
- 25:10Speaker 7: you take white chocolate and mount it into the into
- 25:13Speaker 7: the sauce really delicately in it. It doesn't taste like
- 25:16Speaker 7: white chocolate. It just tastes like really rich butter. Yeah.
- 25:20Speaker 7: And uh, you put that over the top of the
- 25:22Speaker 7: baked you baked, you bake your dove in the in
- 25:26Speaker 7: the oven, nice and brown. Man, that's a it's a
- 25:31Speaker 7: beautiful dish, brother, for sure.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, can you bring one studio?
- 25:38Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 25:39Speaker 5: Come on, God, you have any like tips for anybody
- 25:41Speaker 5: like hunters out there that are bringing the home bring
- 25:44Speaker 5: ducts on this year and how to get Is there
- 25:45Speaker 5: like a good like soak that you can do that
- 25:48Speaker 5: helps get the bebes out of it?
- 25:53Speaker 7: In a magnet I think, you know, like is.
- 25:56Speaker 2: That a real thing? Using a magnet in the kitchen?
- 25:58Speaker 7: I mean, I would think you could, but you know,
- 26:00Speaker 7: I would probably want a coded magnet that one has
- 26:02Speaker 7: like something on the outside of it that is it
- 26:06Speaker 7: just metal like the mixed silicom magnets. But I would
- 26:10Speaker 7: think that it would help find.
- 26:13Speaker 2: I look, Chef.
- 26:14Speaker 5: They are some people that are like, can you please
- 26:16Speaker 5: get Chef's recipe for these does because it sounds amazing.
- 26:20Speaker 7: Yeah, I can write something down.
- 26:23Speaker 5: We should have like a chef recipe that we should
- 26:25Speaker 5: have like a recipe of the week.
- 26:27Speaker 4: And that's actually that's actually a good idea. One more
- 26:29Speaker 4: thing on Chef's played. He doesn't have enough no fun.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Intended to spend a couple of hours. That's fine, it's fine,
- 26:35Speaker 2: all right.
- 26:35Speaker 4: We do have a super chat. So somebody paid Chef
- 26:37Speaker 4: five dollars to ask this question. I need Chef to
- 26:41Speaker 4: give the team the Ocho Cinco food playing fried chicken
- 26:45Speaker 4: McDonald's and lots of frosted Big Goods. I don't know
- 26:51Speaker 4: if you've ever seen it, but Chad Johnson Ocho Cinco,
- 26:53Speaker 4: like he is a notorious for like eating McDonald's before games.
- 26:57Speaker 7: Oh God, that hurt my stomach thinking about it. Then
- 27:03Speaker 7: it would take a lot more than five dollars for
- 27:05Speaker 7: me to get that done. I think.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Jeff I was thinking about this the other day. So
- 27:11Speaker 2: we never know.
- 27:12Speaker 5: We like to we always try to figure out what
- 27:13Speaker 5: we're going to do with our oil after we've cooked it,
- 27:15Speaker 5: like you, yeah, because we I think we have a
- 27:17Speaker 5: we have a sept to tank at our house, and
- 27:18Speaker 5: it's like all right, we don't we don't want to
- 27:20Speaker 5: put it down that we put it in the trash.
- 27:21Speaker 5: So what's the couple questions here? What's is there a
- 27:24Speaker 5: proper way to like get rid of post cooking oil?
- 27:28Speaker 5: And then also is there a way like I've seen
- 27:30Speaker 5: restaurants that have that claim that they have like the
- 27:32Speaker 5: same oil for years and years. Is there a way
- 27:34Speaker 5: to preserve oil or is there a point of no
- 27:37Speaker 5: return after you cook?
- 27:39Speaker 7: So there's a there's a way to prolong oil, but
- 27:43Speaker 7: most oils will go ramped after an amount of time
- 27:45Speaker 7: and you know six six months to years? Is that
- 27:49Speaker 7: time under normal circumstance? And is it it depends on
- 27:53Speaker 7: what kind of oil as well, certain oils old well,
- 27:56Speaker 7: I don't think you know, you want to keep more
- 27:58Speaker 7: than six months and I don't know old oil just
- 28:03Speaker 7: doesn't ring off the tongue like that something I want,
- 28:06Speaker 7: you know, like fresh oil is it always tastes better.
- 28:09Speaker 7: So what a lot of what makes oil go bad
- 28:12Speaker 7: is when you're frying and it hits high high temperatures,
- 28:15Speaker 7: it becomes unstable. And if it's super high, you know
- 28:18Speaker 7: as the natures and and that that breaks it down.
- 28:21Speaker 7: And you know that's what makes build it. Also as
- 28:24Speaker 7: you're frying, there's small particulars of carbon.
- 28:27Speaker 5: West of the oil.
- 28:28Speaker 7: It also you know, makes it a mixture of something
- 28:31Speaker 7: that's impure. And even though carbon you know has it
- 28:36Speaker 7: is super hard and whatever. But it also it will
- 28:39Speaker 7: continue to burn in this taste, uh, the flavor of
- 28:42Speaker 7: the oil until it reaches its you know, carbon state
- 28:45Speaker 7: as long as there's organic matter in there. And so
- 28:48Speaker 7: you know, having old oil, the you know, like the
- 28:51Speaker 7: way that you prolong it is you have a filtration machine.
- 28:55Speaker 7: We employ a company that has a one micron or
- 28:58Speaker 7: three micron uh filter that that removes all that carbon
- 29:02Speaker 7: out of it and prolongs the life of it. So
- 29:04Speaker 7: you know, where a restaurant might have to filter their
- 29:06Speaker 7: their fry every night, we have to come in and
- 29:09Speaker 7: it lasts another day, and so we will we will
- 29:12Speaker 7: will have two to three times the life of the oil.
- 29:15Speaker 7: But I don't pride myself on, you know, like extending
- 29:19Speaker 7: the life of oil. But it is safer for the
- 29:22Speaker 7: environment in that way, and it does you know, oil's expences. Man,
- 29:26Speaker 7: Back in the day, you could buy a thirty five
- 29:27Speaker 7: gallon drum of oil for seventeen seventeen to twenty five
- 29:31Speaker 7: dollars and at some point, man, it got up, you know,
- 29:33Speaker 7: depending on what kind of oil it was, into the
- 29:36Speaker 7: hundreds of dollars, you know, over one hundred bucks for
- 29:39Speaker 7: thirty five gallons or seventy five dollars where you know,
- 29:41Speaker 7: and that's crazy, and you get your oil is important too,
- 29:46Speaker 7: But prolonging it is not something that I pride myself
- 29:49Speaker 7: in or do just you know, where you get rid
- 29:52Speaker 7: of it at We have a company that comes and
- 29:55Speaker 7: takes our oil and they have a. You know, like
- 29:57Speaker 7: there are facilities you could take it to uh as A.
- 30:02Speaker 7: As a homeowner, I keep mine and throw it in
- 30:06Speaker 7: the trash with you because we don't have that really
- 30:09Speaker 7: doesn't have a great place. But some in some bigger cities,
- 30:12Speaker 7: you know, like you can take it to recycling places
- 30:15Speaker 7: that will recycle it. I mean there's there's places in
- 30:17Speaker 7: the United States that turn you know, used cooking oil
- 30:22Speaker 7: into into fuel. You know, that's that's the beatles run on.
- 30:27Speaker 7: So there there are capabilities of using it in smart ways,
- 30:30Speaker 7: but the South has not bought into those things just yet.
- 30:34Speaker 7: And so you know, I capped mine up into a
- 30:38Speaker 7: into a jar and put it into the trash and
- 30:40Speaker 7: send it to the dump instead of putting it down
- 30:42Speaker 7: my trains and praying that it doesn't clog them.
- 30:44Speaker 4: Shut All right there he is Chef Michael Johnson, executive
- 30:49Speaker 4: chef for l s U Athletics, good enough to join
- 30:51Speaker 4: us every single week to answer your munchie question. Chef,
- 30:54Speaker 4: We appreciate it.

- 31:33Speaker 4: we can get chef maybe like write write that down
- 31:37Speaker 4: and then we can just like make a graphic for
- 31:39Speaker 4: it and put it out there on OTB socials every week.
- 31:42Speaker 5: Yeah, like a little Munchies recipe of the week, like,
- 31:46Speaker 5: or we can just kind of take what he says
- 31:49Speaker 5: on the show. Yeah, I mean, I know, he gets
- 31:51Speaker 5: like such great detail.
- 31:52Speaker 2: I'm like, oh wait, hope what hope?
- 31:54Speaker 7: What?
- 31:54Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 31:55Speaker 5: Usually it's the throwaway questions that we think are just
- 31:57Speaker 5: kind of like yeah, someone asks us that he goes
- 32:00Speaker 5: into depth and it's like, okay, now.
- 32:01Speaker 4: I didn't think he'd find his way to white chocolate
- 32:03Speaker 4: on a Dove recipe, but.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Here we are.
- 32:04Speaker 5: I didn't think we'd get into like the three Macron
- 32:06Speaker 5: filtered filtration oil filtration talk either but here we are,
- 32:10Speaker 5: like you said, it's fantastic, so true.
- 32:13Speaker 2: I guess that's the thing I always in the kitchen,
- 32:15Speaker 2: like would I do this oil? I know?
- 32:17Speaker 5: I just I put like a paper towel, a lot
- 32:19Speaker 5: of paper towels in the trash, and it's poured on
- 32:21Speaker 5: the paper towel at it soak up.
- 32:22Speaker 2: It's kind of my go to. Now what I did?
- 32:27Speaker 2: What else?
- 32:27Speaker 4: Yeah, they do they would do buy like an outer
- 32:30Speaker 4: that you can like put into it and then it
- 32:32Speaker 4: hardens it.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I don't. I don't buy that. I'll send you the link.
- 32:37Speaker 2: I mean, I don't want it.
- 32:38Speaker 4: We got a deep friar at the house. We got
- 32:39Speaker 4: a lot of oil we go through.

- 35:13Speaker 4: what college football plics like this week and we're on
- 35:16Speaker 4: Thursday show.
- 35:18Speaker 2: It's just that's what to mars for right football Friday?
- 35:22Speaker 4: Yeah, Like, think about this, Think about Penn State and
- 35:26Speaker 4: Ohio State are playing this weekend, pretty big game. Did
- 35:31Speaker 4: you even know that?
- 35:32Speaker 3: Now?
- 35:34Speaker 4: Only a lot of people knew that High State's a
- 35:36Speaker 4: three touchdown favorite?
- 35:37Speaker 2: Whoa are you serious? Yeah? Twenty one points.
- 35:43Speaker 4: Think if I'd have told you that in August that
- 35:47Speaker 4: Ohio State and Penn State are gonna play, you might
- 35:50Speaker 4: not even know when it's happening. The Buckeye is gonna
- 35:53Speaker 4: be a three touchdown favorite.
- 36:00Speaker 8: Its sh and four in the Big Ten in the
- 36:05Speaker 8: Big Town that includes the classic big ten powerhouse u
- 36:10Speaker 8: C l A.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Is that in l A is also there's two of them.
- 36:17Speaker 5: Actually, if you think about it, also in l A's
- 36:20Speaker 5: another LA school.
- 36:21Speaker 2: There is another LA school Southern Uh, Southern California.
- 36:25Speaker 9: Ye would that be USC.
- 36:27Speaker 2: I think it's s c U. Okay, Southern California University,
- 36:31Speaker 2: Yes like that. Yeah, that's what somebody looks like.
- 36:33Speaker 5: You would say, I've never been in California.
- 36:38Speaker 2: I think my country.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Uh.
- 36:43Speaker 4: You also have number nine Vanderbilt traveling the number twenty
- 36:46Speaker 4: Texas Texas to and a half point favorite.
- 36:49Speaker 9: Oh wow, Oh really because it's that Texas Texas. Yeah,
- 36:54Speaker 9: put money on Bandy that we.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Do we know about our chip. I don't think he's playing.
- 37:00Speaker 2: I think he's doubtful. Can cuss right, they're play Vanderbilt. Yeah.
- 37:05Speaker 2: The fact that there's still two and a half without arches.
- 37:11Speaker 4: Bandy money line summer saying alternate line that that has
- 37:18Speaker 4: five Vanderbilt money line has a launder written.
- 37:20Speaker 2: All over it.
- 37:21Speaker 5: It does at least the hold on Texas is playing
- 37:24Speaker 5: Vanderbilt with their backup quarterback and they're two and a
- 37:28Speaker 5: half point favorites.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:33Speaker 5: I don't know that he does something we like we've
- 37:36Speaker 5: said it a bunch of times, like do we are
- 37:38Speaker 5: we missing something here? Like but this is a that's
- 37:40Speaker 5: a that's a hard one. Yeah, it's a tough one
- 37:42Speaker 5: to get behind. So, I mean, Texas, I guess it's
- 37:45Speaker 5: gonna win.
- 37:47Speaker 4: I should like Vandy Well, yeah, miss, I mean there's
- 37:54Speaker 4: some Cincinnati who's number seventeen in the country is a
- 38:00Speaker 4: nine point dog on the road against Utah.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's wild, Like Cincinnati seven and one, right, Yeah,
- 38:07Speaker 2: college game day going to be at that one. Brinton
- 38:11Speaker 2: Soarsby has been awesome for Cincinnati this.
- 38:14Speaker 4: Year, ever since he came on off campus, saying, ever
- 38:18Speaker 4: since that moment, he's got twenty tuds and one pick.
- 38:21Speaker 2: It's pretty good.
- 38:22Speaker 4: Yeah, that's pretty good, pretty good efficiency.
- 38:24Speaker 9: As of twelve hours ago, arch Manning is still in
- 38:27Speaker 9: concussion protocol and did not practice.
- 38:29Speaker 2: I can't imagine, but.
- 38:31Speaker 9: Matthew Caldwell came in at the end of the game
- 38:33Speaker 9: and he played pretty good.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Like it wasn't that's why they are Yeah, maybe that
- 38:38Speaker 4: is why If Art gets healthy gets out of protocol,
- 38:41Speaker 4: they're gonna be like ten point favorites or are they going.
- 38:43Speaker 2: To be undertown? Yeah, that would be interesting to see.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Where does the line go after the announce Ark is healthy? Oh,
- 38:51Speaker 2: that'd be fun.
- 38:52Speaker 9: Well, there's safety, there's like best safety, Michael taff he's
- 38:55Speaker 9: always he's also questionable, I.
- 38:56Speaker 4: Think, oh, isy, which is wild that there's still a
- 38:59Speaker 4: favorite like yeah, geez, I mean Michael Taft's player.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Pavia heard or something? Are? Is there something we're missing? No? No,
- 39:09Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 39:11Speaker 9: Well, also nothing matters because they're all new and kind
- 39:15Speaker 9: of not great anyway. But a couple of their starting
- 39:17Speaker 9: offensive linemen are also out for Texas. One offensive lineman
- 39:21Speaker 9: Cole Hudson and then freshman ed rusher Lance Jackson are
- 39:24Speaker 9: both out too, so that already weak offensive line and
- 39:28Speaker 9: the protection you have up front is down as Also.
- 39:31Speaker 2: We'll take all the money.
- 39:33Speaker 5: Yeah, win all the money on that one.
- 39:36Speaker 2: I'm heavy on that one.
- 39:38Speaker 5: Miami is eleven and a half road favorite of s MU,
- 39:42Speaker 5: which I think is wild.
- 39:44Speaker 9: The only thing I can think is with uh Livingstone
- 39:47Speaker 9: Parker Livingstone one of the receivers, like he makes plays.
- 39:51Speaker 2: But yeah, oh no, I don't know. Sometimes you just
- 39:54Speaker 2: don't overthink things.
- 39:55Speaker 4: Yeah true, mm hmmm.
- 40:01Speaker 2: Got Georgia Florida this weekend.
- 40:02Speaker 4: Another game that the tailgate or whatever, the largest cocktail
- 40:07Speaker 4: outdoor cocktail party.
- 40:11Speaker 2: That typically like that game's overrated.
- 40:13Speaker 4: As I said, it's typically a game that we certainly
- 40:16Speaker 4: would dive a little bit more into. Florida though, three
- 40:19Speaker 4: and four on the year, Georgia six and one, Georgia seven.
- 40:22Speaker 2: And a half point favorite in that one. Yeah, that game.
- 40:31Speaker 2: I've never really cared for that game. Why, I don't know,
- 40:34Speaker 2: goes Florida, goes Florida, I mean in jackson Is it
- 40:37Speaker 2: in Jacksonville? Still? Yeah? Blame flame City.
- 40:44Speaker 4: So let me let me ask Jacksonville take his shots
- 40:48Speaker 4: out here, all right, Let me let me ask our

- 41:11Speaker 2: Like again, you know Lane Giffin?
- 41:13Speaker 4: What about number eight Georgia Tech and Brent Key going
- 41:15Speaker 4: on the Road to Carter Finley Stadium to take on the.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Wolfpack n C State.
- 41:19Speaker 4: Are you gonna watch that game maybe with a different
- 41:22Speaker 4: viewpoint this week?
- 41:25Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 41:26Speaker 5: I think I'll tune into Louisville a little bit more
- 41:30Speaker 5: to see, like what their offense is all about.
- 41:32Speaker 2: I kind of know.
- 41:33Speaker 5: Me, I've watched so much Brent Key and Georgia Tech,
- 41:35Speaker 5: Like I get that. I'm gonna keep watching him because
- 41:38Speaker 5: I'm a fan of that football team, the Hainesa Master
- 41:40Speaker 5: of the Texas Hainsaw Massacre.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 41:45Speaker 4: Yeah, but like during this point, like I'm sure there's
- 41:48Speaker 4: gonna be a lot of LSU fans that pay attention
