- 0:008430 she's telling you like this.
- 0:02It's there are two main ways if we said for a person to become
- 0:08highly motivated to become very dedicated and has a beat and
- 0:11serving Hashem. The one which is simple is
- 0:15stopping and focusing and appreciating what you've given
- 0:19and if you really let it sink in, it becomes emotionally
- 0:23overwhelming appreciation of what you have.
- 0:26We've been saying, but the problem however, is it's hard to
- 0:29see that. We're often inclined to see the
- 0:32gap. That's just the way life is.
- 0:33That's Part 1. But if you do allow yourself to
- 0:35see it, you'll be highly motivated.
- 0:37The second part, I guess is motivated.
- 0:40It are role models. Role model means you're watching
- 0:44another person, you're seeing how they're acting, how they're
- 0:46living, and you want to be like them.
- 0:47When we explained yesterday, I think it's an important point,
- 0:51which is what does it mean? I want to be like role model,
- 0:53jump past him and be like his source, have his motivation.
- 0:56The answer is it is sometimes I don't know what got him to where
- 1:00he is, what triggered him. I don't have that same
- 1:03inspiration like we've been saying.
- 1:05If you look by the old fashioned stories that happened a couple,
- 1:07100 years ago, I wasn't there. I didn't have their drive or
- 1:11their world or their structure. They got into that spot, but I
- 1:15still get inspired by the outcome because I want to be
- 1:18like their story. I may not want to have, I may
- 1:20not have had the same inspiration as they have.
- 1:23I want to have that picture. Similarly, when you go and
- 1:26visit, you think about your parents or grandparents or the
- 1:29old country you want to be or the old way you want to be like
- 1:32them. Even if you don't have the drive
- 1:36that made them them, you have something about them back then
- 1:40that makes you feel good and made sure it seemed like it was
- 1:43right, seemed like it's the right way and you're inspired to
- 1:46follow their outcome, even if you don't have their source and
- 1:49inspiration. That's why it's considered the
- 1:51second source of getting you going, because to one end, you
- 1:55have your motivation, another hand you have just the
- 1:59motivation of being like other people, and that will inspire
- 2:02you to be great. It's a little bit the copy kind
- 2:04of tell. If Fazal doesn't flip about, my
- 2:06opposite is what? Not being like other people?
- 2:08You see you guys and you say I'm going to learn from his mistake.
- 2:12That guy did the wrong thing for years.
- 2:14I'm not going to do. That do we have a source and a
- 2:16concept of learning from someone's negative traits or not
- 2:21to be like what not to be like. Let me think of me.
- 2:26I'm trying to think of an example, make someone to do
- 2:30example of what's wrong. I mean, we know we have what the
- 2:36camera tells us about certain people.
- 2:37That went too far for people that try to delve in Sham's way
- 2:44too much. And three out of the four went
- 2:47off, went crazy. We have that.
- 2:51We have an individual, we call him.
- 2:53Our head was the person that went off right?
- 2:57I don't know. If we kept busy with making
- 2:59negative examples out of people, why not?
- 3:03I don't know what the simple explanation probably would be.
- 3:06The more they're around, the more they're part of our life,
- 3:09the more wary we are for the pull of the Ed Sahara.
- 3:13This is kind of ready with his hair.
- 3:15And you have many examples. That's all bad people.
- 3:18You have kind, you have a sub, you have Ishmael, we go on and
- 3:21on and on. The villains about we have, we
- 3:25have Kolak, we have Haman, we have all these people.
- 3:28The villains and triad are almost as interesting as the
- 3:30heroes. Sure, but I guess it's really
- 3:33the answer to Joe's question, which we do have many of them
- 3:35and etcetera. They are role models and we all
- 3:38direct Billam. We have all these people.
- 3:40We talk about how Billam was as great a prophet, Mashrah, Beno,
- 3:43they went the other way. So that is simple answer.
- 3:45You're right, we do have people to talk about.
- 3:49And Isab, we've been so much time talking about Isab.
- 3:52What was this thing? He was red.
- 3:54He went after his temptation. So I guess it's there.
- 3:56And you're right, he's doing our.
- 3:58Head is a good example right? He was on the right path like us
- 4:01and he went off. You learn from him how not
- 4:03thought. Yeah, I do think that however,
- 4:05there's a is, you know, there's not all over emphasis stories in
- 4:09the camera in a million and a half stories of great people who
- 4:13did great things. We don't have as many stories
- 4:16and they come out more more recent in a sense of bad people
- 4:20do bad things to that. I think because there's a fear
- 4:23of maybe even being a level of bad influence.
- 4:26I would think that's the issue. But overall, we definitely have
- 4:29villains in the total we do. And then we have role models and
- 4:31the idea of role models as we're saying we're trying to copy
- 4:34them, be like them. That's the idea.
- 4:36That's the theme, even if we don't have that source and
- 4:38inspiration we do have. So we have three points. 1, you
- 4:41have your own source of inspiration, your own pole by
- 4:44being connected to Hashem 2 and seeing Hashem's gifts to you. 2
- 4:48You have your source of your role models, people you want to
- 4:52be like. What do you need role models?
- 4:53Why not just cut to the chase and go to the source and have
- 4:56your own inspiration? So we're saying because you want
- 4:59to be like their life, even though you may not have had
- 5:01their makeup, their Gotham there.
- 5:03And then we're throwing in Joe's point, which is definitely a
- 5:05fairpoint. We do have villains.
- 5:06We do have people that we learn or not to be like, you know, to
- 5:10that we have it very much. I don't know if we have it as
- 5:12much in the game or not. We do have a head and others,
- 5:15but maybe that's because of a fear.
- 5:19We have many of them, and those are all the humash and the
- 5:24people I mean. That people did the wrong thing
- 5:29and we learned from. That no, we don't have many
- 5:31people like us who did the wrong thing with our friends and we
- 5:34induct. I think that's because that's
- 5:37probably not so helpful, Valley development to see people like
- 5:41me who did the wrong thing. That's going to bring me all we
- 5:43have yet. Done.
- 5:44Did the wrong thing and it took the.
- 5:46So is there a responsibility? We do have all those examples in
- 5:49Torah Naveen Kituvi, in the original books.
- 5:51And by the way, all those people were people who were great,
- 5:53sorry, some of them, many of them great people, many of them
- 5:56villains. We have but learn from there,
- 5:58But we do not have many in. Like.
- 6:01Oh, early, yes, sure. Right?
- 6:05Can or early then he mentioned the problem.
- 6:15However, with this mindset of development and with this
- 6:19capability being inspired, whether it be from your own
- 6:23inspiration or from following great people, is the fact that
- 6:28our minds are very worried. And that means very often we're
- 6:33not present and we're not present.
- 6:35That means because if I me having something on my mind,
- 6:38whatever it may be, I'm not here in the moment and I'm not able
- 6:42to actually stop and stare and contemplate and appreciate.
- 6:46I can't build my inspiration if I don't have a clear mind.
- 6:52She's really out. If you break it down is that
- 6:55inspiration starts with the mind, hits the heart, becomes an
- 6:58emotion. You need to be fully here to be
- 7:01able to get an emotion from your thoughts.
- 7:04If I am thinking something, even if I am making sure to say thank
- 7:08you, I've shot a million times and there I BH end of every
- 7:11text, I'm making sure to be very, you know, in a certain
- 7:14sense appreciated what God gave me.
- 7:16And I am I'm not sketching, I really am.
- 7:18But if I'm not here because there are worries, so my mind
- 7:24can think that, but my mind itself is not even really
- 7:27present and there's no shot that those thoughts and appreciation
- 7:31are going to be absorbed by me to the point that they're going
- 7:35to become an emotion, that they're going to become a drive
- 7:37and an inspiration to do more. I'm not going to get there
- 7:40because yes, I believe and I know that Hashem be great for
- 7:43me. I can recognize.
- 7:45And if you asked me to show you an example, I can find an
- 7:47example for you. But I can't really think it any
- 7:51if I can get it into my mind. I can't get it all the way into
- 7:54my heart because of the fact that I am so much worried,
- 7:59contemplating other things, busy on to the next, thinking about
- 8:03so much going on in the world and in my life.
- 8:05And it doesn't allow my mind to absorb what it's thinking and
- 8:08definitely does not allow the emotion to set in.
- 8:11So what do you do? Oh, Nam mashuhalish moret Adam,
- 8:20what can allow a person to protect from the things stopping
- 8:24him from being inspired? Which basically means really the
- 8:27inspiration is technically there waiting to be had.
- 8:31Instead, our issue is we have things holding us back.
- 8:33How do we knock away, get rid of those things holding us back
- 8:37from inspiration? Hua be tajon.
- 8:41That's an additional aspect a trust in Hashem allows.
- 8:45If you have proper reliance and trust in Hashem, you get rid of
- 8:49those worries, as we'll see, enough to allow your mind to be
- 8:53present and your heart to fuel your mind as a say.
- 8:58You'll throw your worries on to God if you get used to this
- 9:08idea. Now this is difficult because we
- 9:12know we trust in Hashem, we believe in Hashem.
- 9:14If they get used to the idea that there's nothing, then I can
- 9:17be lacking. If God doesn't allow whatever
- 9:20God wants for my outcome to exist, that's exactly what my
- 9:24outcome will be. Even though I do my work and I
- 9:27do my Asia lute and I know all the effort I have to put in.
- 9:29I know that. But the worry part, the part
- 9:32that absorbs my mind and the my heart because I'm nervous.
- 9:36What's going to be? What do I have to do?
- 9:37What's going to happen if I can truly believe and I could live
- 9:41that parallel existence, which is I have to do my work, but at
- 9:45the same time there is nothing lacking here and Hashem is
- 9:49giving me 100%, necessary for me 100%.
- 9:52And that is how we believe. We believe that because of Ashka
- 9:54apathy. We believe that because of all
- 9:56the ideas that we say it happened for a reason.
- 9:59All that proves that Hashem is fully, fully delivering what I
- 10:03need. That's true.
- 10:05Then although I need to work very hard, there's no worry.
- 10:08There's no worry, there's no concern.
- 10:11There's no thought on to what's going to be.
- 10:13If that's the case, I am able to be here and be present.
- 10:18That's the structure. If I want to appreciate what I'm
- 10:21given, I need to be able to recognize it.
- 10:23But I only the reason why I cannot, because I'm not present.
- 10:26Why am I not present? Because of the worries.
- 10:29The worries I will eat up our mind.
- 10:31So what's what's DNA? Shabbat.
- 10:32You're worried about that? What's God's will?
- 10:34I mean, maybe, yeah, I deserve it.
- 10:36Maybe it's like so you should be worried.
- 10:38Good. That type of worry won't have
- 10:40this effect though. A very good point.
- 10:42The worry that a person has based on Hashem's world, which
- 10:46is if I'm worried, I'm not nervous.
- 10:48If I learnt enough, prayed enough, I'm not learning.
- 10:52We're not happy. I'm not sure if Hashem's happy
- 10:53with me. Those types of worries are not,
- 10:58you know, concerns of my gaps in life that exists or that may
- 11:02exist. Those worries that you're
- 11:04referring to are religious worries and they go in the same
- 11:07stream as beat the horn, Yiraj Shamayim, Ahavach Shamayim and
- 11:12beat the horn all go ahead. And then so the guy is always
- 11:16comes. I'm not sure if Hashem is happy
- 11:17with me. That person will not be taken
- 11:21out of this world or he will not be taken out of the excuse me,
- 11:24the present moment because of those kinds of nerves.
- 11:28Those nerves might motivate him. Those nerves might make him
- 11:32nervous in a sense, but it will not remove his ability from
- 11:36recognizing Hashem. You're not going to be afraid of
- 11:38Hashem and therefore not see Hashem.
- 11:40That's what you're asking. It's not going to happen.
- 11:42Instead, what's going to happen for that person is he's in the
- 11:45right frame of mind, maybe a little too nervous, I
- 11:48understand. But he's in the right frame of
- 11:50mind, has still have the capability of seeing Hashem and
- 11:53the same time as he has fears and nerves from Hashem about
- 11:57appreciation and love just the same.
- 12:00It's in the same track. The issue that we're referring
- 12:03to is a person who has worries because of his fears outside, so
- 12:09to speak, of Hashem. I don't know what I'm going to
- 12:11make today. I don't know what's going to
- 12:12happen with this child. I don't know what's going to
- 12:14happen with me getting that house I need to get.
- 12:16I don't know what's going to happen with me getting there
- 12:18without traffic. The worries that a person has
- 12:21and his mind are unrelated to God, those he lives with, and
- 12:27when you live with those, you don't exist here.
- 12:29If you're not present here, you have no shot.
- 12:32Appreciate in God's way. Maybe just say that.
- 12:37Yeah, that, but it was just so true.
- 12:39There's a shot of mercy as I shall love.
- 12:41But even if there's something called you're not the one you
- 12:43know that's true, it's still will not take away for this
- 12:45appreciation Kashaya da Ki vada. If it's impossible for you to
- 12:53lock with, for you to not have what I want you to have, as our
- 13:01rabbis tell us, all your income is established for you in the
- 13:09beginning of the year. And no person, nobody can touch
- 13:20what is coming to you even here is breath absorb that concept
- 13:24over and over and over again. It is not possible for you to be
- 13:29lacking anything and definitely not possible if you'd be lacking
- 13:34anything because of other people.
- 13:35Number one, you're not liking anything God wants to give you.
- 13:37And on top of that, there's no one who can create a void and
- 13:42lacking by you. You have 1000% what is destined
- 13:46to you. If that's the case.
- 13:49That's what I have now. That's what I'm going to have
- 13:50tomorrow and next week. Where's the room for worry?
- 13:54There's room for nerves. There's no for busy.
- 13:57There's room for work, Sure, But where's the room for worry?
- 14:00Nowhere. Don't worry.
- 14:02I'm present. I'm present.
- 14:05Nothing to be concerned about. That's what he's telling you.
- 14:11A person. Technically, I'm the eyes of
- 14:14God. Again, Technically only a person
- 14:16who could sit there and not work by gazera Itami Kaemit and God's
- 14:21will and God's gift would become flowing in.
- 14:24It's not that way to day. It's not that way in reality.
- 14:26It needs to work, but your work does not fill the gap.
- 14:30It doesn't bring in the void. Which means from the start,
- 14:34Hashem is a plan. There's a missile, there's a
- 14:37mission, there's a delivery. It's coming for us in a good
- 14:40way. It's travelling toward us from
- 14:42God. We don't need to play into that
- 14:46delivery from Hashem. Not an iota.
- 14:49It is coming our way. You absorb this.
- 14:51If I absorb this, if we live this way, then our worries would
- 14:54not exist. Now you see it yourself.
- 14:56But a lot of my development came from worries.
- 14:59The truth is, if we believe in Hashem and we believe in this
- 15:02track which we're saying, and Hashem would have got you
- 15:05development as well without those worries as well.
- 15:07Yes, you utilize your worries and your nerves as a mean to
- 15:11expand, but Hashem could have utilized just your broad mind or
- 15:16your broad capability has also no means to expand.
- 15:18There is no place in the world for worry.
- 15:21There's no place. If that's the case, if that's a
- 15:24reality, then I'm here. I'm present because my emotions
- 15:29here. How so?
- 15:30I think about my mind. I know I have a some.
- 15:34I don't have anything pulling me away from my present moment.
- 15:37Temptation is a thing, luxuries a thing.
- 15:39Those pull also. I'll deal with those.
- 15:41But at first my largest, biggest, all in yoke on my mind
- 15:46is my worries. All my worries, my money
- 15:48worries, my family worries, my future worries, health worries,
- 15:52whatever may be. Safety.
- 15:53Does it interfere with his tablets?
- 15:55Like sometimes you're going to say God will protect then you
- 15:57just don't do the right thing. Good.
- 15:59Now, the natural pole for a person to work are his worries.
- 16:05But a real believer who moves on to the track of him and God,
- 16:09he'll do it because it's God's will.
- 16:11He'll work because it's God's will.
- 16:13He'll move out of working because he's nervous about
- 16:16things that have to get rid of that.
- 16:17I need to make that money. I'm scared I need to be able to
- 16:19pay that bill. And he'll instead do it because
- 16:22he knows it's God's will. Is it a higher level?
- 16:24Sure. Is there a level we can all
- 16:26attain? I believe it definitely is if we
- 16:29trust what we do, if we see our sham in our lives, which we do,
- 16:33and we adapt This last part, the problem is that worry, it deals
- 16:38with an area that isn't yet taken care of.
- 16:41So I'm expecting, and we're expecting ourselves to not be
- 16:47nervous about something that isn't yet handled, to not be
- 16:51concerned about something that involves tomorrow.
- 16:54How can I not be concerned about my safety, my children, my
- 16:57money, my home? How can I be concerned?
- 16:59I don't know what's going to be. And the answer is, you're right,
- 17:01you can be concerned, but not from a place of a fear of what
- 17:06would otherwise be, but rather from a face because you know you
- 17:09have to take care of them. That's your job.
- 17:11If that's your mindset, then you'll be fully present, have
- 17:15the same level of work and effort with a completely
- 17:19different existence because your existence will be here, your
- 17:22existence will be focused, and it'll be on track with God.
- 17:25So it's all card for the same God.
- 17:26I have to work for him, I have to trust in him, I have to love
- 17:29him, I have to fear him, and I also, I'm here.
- 17:32There's nothing away that pulled me away.
- 17:35Worries are a place where there's no Hashem.
- 17:38It says that every person is worried.
- 17:40There's no Shakina. Shakina doesn't arrest.
- 17:42If he's sad that Shakina doesn't arrest, if he's worried that
- 17:45Shakina doesn't arrest in him, why not?
- 17:47Because while you're thinking about that area, you're not with
- 17:51Hashem. The essence of being nervous
- 17:54about something else is thinking about a non Hashem in our mind
- 17:59place. That's the case.
- 18:01How can I do that and also expect to be motivated to serve
- 18:05God? I'm in two different tracks to
- 18:06the world. I need to be in the God world.
- 18:09The God world is. I am not nervous about what
- 18:12otherwise would be. I know I'm set, not lazy, I'm
- 18:17not sitting and you know, laying down and doing nothing.
- 18:19I'm doing my work, but I know I'm set.
- 18:21If that's the case, that's from Hashem.
- 18:23If it's from Hashem, I am now able to actually see what's in
- 18:27front of me with my track, my life, and I can live in the
- 18:31moment. Besides, the fact that He's
- 18:33telling you this gives you great inspiration to serve Hashem,
- 18:37which seems a little bit distant.
- 18:39How does it make me serve God? We don't know it so much because
- 18:43we all worry so much. Have you stopped during a
- 18:46moment? Let's say you find that time
- 18:48during the year where it's the perfect time of year where you
- 18:51have enough money in your mind for the next few months, Nothing
- 18:54to think about. The kids are all in a good spot.
- 18:58The relationships are all on the right flow.
- 19:01Everyone's healthy during that time, time a year or time of
- 19:05life, whatever that was or is, and you take a walk to that
- 19:08time. You're like, oh, this is awesome
- 19:10during that time. Trust me, if you bring a shaman
- 19:13to the picture which you do, your service of Hashem and your
- 19:17appreciation to Hashem will be overflowing, will love literally
- 19:20overflowing and you'll be trying to figure out how do I do more?
- 19:23How do I become more, How do I serve more?
- 19:26How do I have more direct talk which is coming on in my prayer?
- 19:30How do I learn more, how I develop as a person close to God
- 19:34more? All those things will come
- 19:36flowing in literally the moment you have that moment, that walk
- 19:41on the beach, that walk wherever it is with sunny and it's
- 19:45comfortable and there's nothing in your mind.
- 19:47There's no ice, there's no fears, nothing.
- 19:50That moment, whenever it comes, whenever is there beauty.
- 19:53Problem is, it's hard to have the moment because you have a
- 19:56million that have gaps and issues and things that are not
- 20:00complete. What if we tell ourselves
- 20:03they're complete? They're just pending, They're
- 20:06complete, they're in process. Because you know what I know
- 20:09after the fact? After a story happens, every
- 20:13story of our life was all over, shed by God.
- 20:18We can see retroactively, so we can see after the fact.
- 20:21Then all we need to get to the point is seeing it during the
- 20:23fact, while it's happening, and we can see while it's happening.
- 20:27We lose the capability and the need to worry.
- 20:31Imagine a world without worrying.
- 20:32It's the most awesome world of life.
- 20:35You know, you think to yourself, well, the guy who has a billion
- 20:37dollars, the guy doesn't worry. He worries too.
- 20:39Look at these guys. They're all crazy, right?
- 20:41More possessions and more Larry. 'S might have been on the Khazim
- 20:44mabed. I got exactly honey was all
- 20:46right. So it's not a situation, it's a
- 20:49state of mind. And a state of mind is something
- 20:52that we're all blessed enough to be capable.
- 20:55It's true. Hazid, the guy whose life is it
- 20:57is very difficult. It's hard for him to get out of
- 21:01the world of worrying. But thank God we're not that
- 21:02way. And we're blessed because we're
- 21:04blessed. Yes, we have gaps.
- 21:06Everyone's got gaps, you know, but still you have much more
- 21:10overriding the good then the gaps.
- 21:12And your job is to see those gaps as pending development in
- 21:17process. If it's in process, you're
- 21:20great. Life and process we're all
- 21:22comfortable with. If we can see everything that
- 21:24we're missing as part of a developing picture, we're
- 21:27perfectly fine. We're set, we're set, we're
- 21:30here. We're here.
- 21:31We're living in the moment. Besides making my life a much
- 21:34happier life living in the moment and also makes my life a
- 21:37much more legitimate religious connected share mine.
- 21:41Stop with this right?
