- 0:27All right, everybody, welcome to this installment of Opposition Territory here at the
- 0:30Philadelphia Sports Table podcast show, the longest running weekly Philly sports podcast show in
- 0:35the world, over ten years strong. We got a great discussion coming your
- 0:39way here on Opposition Territory. There is one team I think that is going
- 0:43to be fascinating to watching the NFL this coming season, and that is the
- 0:46Green Bay Packers. There are a lot of storylines about this team, of
- 0:50course, yes, the quarterback position, what's gonna be happening with that?
- 0:54That gentleman mister Love, what is going to be happening with him? We're
- 0:59certainly going to be getting into to it on this particular Opposition Territory podcast.
- 1:03So let's get to our discussion about the Green Bay Packers right now. It
- 1:07is great to have back on the podcast to get into this Green Bay Packers
- 1:11team coming to us from Acne Packing Company sp Nation site that specifically follows and
- 1:19reports on the Green Bay Packers. We absolutely love having them on. Last
- 1:22time was before our pregame podcast show last year Eagles Packers, and we're certainly
- 1:30going to get into that a little bit. We've got Evan text Western how
- 1:33are you doing texts? Hey, dude, I'm great. It's it's that
- 1:36dead period the middle of the summer. Yeah, fighting my time waiting for
- 1:38training camp gets get starting a couple of weeks, so ready to get going.
- 1:42Absolutely, it's that time too where I follow various Eagles writers, of
- 1:48course, being that we're a Philly sports podcast, and it's just the God
- 1:52bless you guys with regard to the content that you're trying to put out to
- 1:56the masses. Having a grass at straws here and there. I give you
- 1:59all the credit of the world. My man, Well, I appreciate it.
- 2:02And yeah, this time of year is a little always a little slow,
- 2:07but yeah, we're about to dive into kind of doing We always do
- 2:08a pre training camp fifty three man roster predictions, so that's going to start
- 2:14coming out next week and then and m guys like to say, in this
- 2:16kind of quiet period, look back at last season and pick out our ten
- 2:20favorite plays of the previous season. Nice. So we're gonna be starting that
- 2:23countdown next week as well. So I got to find a little way to,
- 2:27you know, to kill those last two weeks before the Packers shareholder meeting
- 2:30starts on me. That's on Monday to twenty fourth and two days later a
- 2:34practice. Alright, very good, Yeah, very good again, folks.
- 2:37ACME Packing Company dot Com at texts Western is where you can find Evan on
- 2:42Twitter here, and like, let's get let's get into the discussion some offseason
- 2:46storylines here, because I remember the last time we spoke, as I mentioned,
- 2:50you know, we were heading into Week twelve of last year's NFL season,
- 2:53right before the Packers were slated to play the Eagles at the link.
- 2:55We had a great conversation then, But a lot has changed for the Packers
- 3:00since that week and that particular game. Of course, Evan, we all
- 3:07know that losing Aaron Rodgers, of course, and what the quarterback situation looks
- 3:09like moving forward is probably the biggest storyline for the Packers and the fan base
- 3:14heading into this coming season, of course. But aside from that, what's
- 3:17another top storyline that US football fans, us, you know, uber football
- 3:22fans should really be keeping our eyes on with regard to the Green Bay Packers.
- 3:25And why yeah, I think the other big thing relates to the youth
- 3:29movement at receiver, all of the receiving weapons that Jordan Love is going to
- 3:32have to throw to basically everybody is a first or second year pro for the
- 3:38most part. Yeah, I think one tight end and Josia Deguara, who's
- 3:40the fourth year guy, and then literally you look down the whole rest of
- 3:45the depth started receiver and tight end. It's rookies, rookies, second second
- 3:50year players all across their roster. So the development of those guys quickly is
- 3:55going to have to be a real big factor for this offense if they're gonna
- 3:59have some success passing the football. And we saw Christian Watson start to go
- 4:04supernova a little bit during that time frame right before the Eagles Packers game last
- 4:09year. He was right in the middle of that that breakout, and you
- 4:13know, he caught that long touchdown from Jordan Love in that game, which
- 4:16kind of continued that that trajectory. And certainly the Packers are expecting huge things
- 4:21from him going into the year two. Expect a lot from Romeo Dobbs as
- 4:25well in his second season. And then they drafted again. You know,
- 4:28they went back to the well receiver in Day two of the draft, taking
- 4:31Jamee Reid from Michigan State, taking dn Tavian Wicks from Virginia in the fifth
- 4:35round. So there's all of these young receivers, and then you look at
- 4:40the tight end position where marcities Lewis is moving on, doesn't look like he's
- 4:43coming back. Robert Tunyan moved on to the Bears, and now they bring
- 4:47in two more Day two picks in Luke Musgrave Tucker Craft, and you've completely
- 4:51redone the tight end room as well. So just following all of those offensive
- 4:58weapons, all those receiving weapons, and how those guys developed throughout the course
- 5:00of the season is gonna, you know, really determine pretty significantly how this
- 5:05offense looks and where this team ends up at the end of the season.
- 5:09It's such a young team and that's why I think it's going to be fascinating
- 5:12to see how they develop over the course of the season. You know,
- 5:15how they come out of the gate as well, and then how they inevitably
- 5:17finished the season. Two. The growth that is going to be taking place,
- 5:21I mean, for an outsider outside Packers Nation, that's what I'm really
- 5:26going to be excited to watch in terms of this particular football team. But
- 5:30going back again last year or two when the Packers did play the Eagles,
- 5:33just I wanted to reflect on that game a little bit with you. You
- 5:38know, Jalen Hurts. He only threw for one hundred and thirty seven yards
- 5:40that game. He did throw for two touchdowns, but man, the Eagles
- 5:44rushing game was absolutely dominant. If folks out there do remember, I mean,
- 5:47they put up a three hundred and sixty three yards on the ground against
- 5:50the Packers. They averaged seven point four yards per attempt, three rushing touchdowns.
- 5:55And I remember when we spoke before that game last year text we discuss
- 6:00the ups and downs that the Packers defensive line was having during the twenty twenty
- 6:03two season, and quite frankly, it's been mostly down I think since twenty
- 6:08twenty one. If we're gonna be honest from from what I know, they
- 6:13didn't hold up too too well in Philly obviously. So I'm wondering that the
- 6:17Packers front office they drafted two defensive linemen, and I'm wondering how this defensive
- 6:23front is going to hold up this coming season when there are specific parts of
- 6:27the division that are really going to be looking to take advantage of a defensive
- 6:30line that maybe still be trying to get its feet under them. In a
- 6:34sense. One are your thoughts with regard to the defensive line and how they
- 6:38may be growing or maybe not growing this coming season. Yeah, it's definitely
- 6:43one of the more interesting positional groups on this team. And you mentioned that
- 6:46they did draft to linemen this season, but both of them were Day three
- 6:50picks, so that Kobe would not Haven in the fourth round and then Carl
- 6:56Brooks out of Bowling Green in the sixth. Those guys aren't Both of them
- 7:01are sort of is they would fit almost a little bit better as like a
- 7:05four three end than they would in the Packers three four system, at least
- 7:08physically they seem like they'd be a little bit more more of a four three
- 7:12scheme fit. So they were both a little bit surprising picks for the Packers.
- 7:15So they're you know, they're counting on those guys to bulk up a
- 7:16little bit, but I don't. I just don't know that you can count
- 7:20on any significant production from those two rookies drafted in Day three rap. So
- 7:27yeah, so you really need to look back to all right, who's coming
- 7:30back from last year's team. You've got a core group built around Kenny Clark,
- 7:34Pro Bowl defensive tackle He's dealt with a little bit of injury stuff here
- 7:40and there, but if he's fully healthy, he's one of the better interior
- 7:43defensive tackles in the league. Now he is fundamentally probably at his best as
- 7:48an interior pressure guy. He's not necessarily a big two gap run stuffing type
- 7:55of guy, and the Packers don't have really any of those guys. The
- 7:58only guy that you might go into that that type of a category would be
- 8:01TJ. Slayton. He's a third year guy out of Florida. I think
- 8:05you're going to see a three man line normally consisting of Kenny Clark, TJ.
- 8:09Slayton, and then last year's first round picked DeVante Wyatt, who we
- 8:13could not understand why Wyatt was not getting snaps all last season? Why was
- 8:18that? Do you have any idea? Why? No, No, we
- 8:22still don't. We still don't have any clear answers. But when Dean Lowry
- 8:24got hurt with about four weeks ago in the season, all of a sudden,
- 8:28wyatt snap count started growing and he was playing well, like we all
- 8:33kind of saw in the little glimpses and flashes that he got of playing time
- 8:37throughout the season. So he's a pretty good athlete. By the way,
- 8:39he's a pretty good athlete. He is absolutely yeah, he was. I
- 8:43mean he was a nine plus rass guy. He's got a great get off
- 8:46off the snap. He's another one of those kind of three tech interior pass
- 8:50rusher guys that the Packers have had over the years. So he's a good
- 8:54compliment with with Kenny Clark, who I think you're going to see him playing
- 8:56a little more end rather than a nose, because nose is where TJ.
- 9:01Slayton is going to be the best. He's that he is more of that
- 9:03big, two gapping, run stuffing nose tackle type. So if you put
- 9:07him on the nose, that might free of Clark a little bit to slide
- 9:11outside, do a little bit more pressure off their garden the tackle. But
- 9:15ultimately, you know that's that's three guys who only one of them is really
- 9:20unknown quantity on this defensive line. You're still projecting a little bit with Whyatt,
- 9:24you're projecting with Slayton, you're certainly projecting with the rookies, and then
- 9:26they got a couple of undrafted guys around the fringes of the rosters, so
- 9:30it was very surprising to me, and I think to a lot of Packers
- 9:33fans that they didn't invest in the defensive line on Day two of the draft.
- 9:37There seemed like there were some some really quality players there, you know,
- 9:41maybe towards the end of the second round, early third round, that
- 9:43that could have given the team some extra depths, some juice on that d
- 9:46line. Now they went with all three of those Day two picks, they
- 9:50went with offensive weapons instead. They can't mentioned a receiver in two tight ends,
- 9:54so there was certainly a focus there, but it's it's that that would
- 10:00definitely overall. Defensive line is one of my biggest concern areas on this team,
- 10:05because, as we saw in that Eagles game, if a team can
- 10:09really commit to the run, they can probably beat this Packers team that way.
- 10:15It's happened with San Francisco and years past, it happened in that Philly
- 10:18game. And you know, the conventional wisdom these days is, you know,
- 10:24you win by passing the football, but that predicates it on the defense
- 10:28being able to at least stop the run occasionally exam that was not the case
- 10:33in that game last year. Yeah. Absolutely, But I take a look
- 10:35at the Packers defense as well, on the back end of things. You
- 10:39know, we take a look at the Packers cornerback depth in particular, I
- 10:41think it's as good as any in the league. I mean, it's such
- 10:45a strength for them, as weak as the d line potentially is going to
- 10:48be perhaps this season, I just think the cornerback depth is really pretty incredible
- 10:54for the Green Bay Packers. And yes, they did lose Adrian Amos in
- 10:58free agency. See, you know, one of the top safeties in the
- 11:01league. And I'm wondering, how concerned are you about the Packers secondary given
- 11:05where the safety position is currently at this point. Then again, you've got
- 11:11some really strong cornerbacks as well. What are your thoughts here? Yeah,
- 11:13the corner position is not a concern in my mind at all. Like you
- 11:18said, JayR Alexander is as good as they come. Russell Douglas has been
- 11:22great these last couple of years for Green Bay. Keishaw Nixon good slot guy,
- 11:26amazing kick return came out at the end of the season. And then
- 11:28if Eric Stokes can come back and you know, maybe my mid season after
- 11:33his big injury last season. You know that gives you a solid four deep
- 11:35plus a couple of interesting young guys you know down the depth start. So
- 11:41not not worried about that unit at all. But safety is a completely different
- 11:45different animal because the Packers, like you said, they lost Amos, who's
- 11:48been that veteran presence on the back end for the last four years. Now
- 11:52you're looking at Darnell Savage as one of your starters. Well, Savage was
- 11:56benched in the middle of last season for poor play for a couple of games.
- 12:01Um, you've got Rudy Ford to various more and Jonathan Owens as your
- 12:05probable candidates for the other starting safety job. Three guys who have basically bounced
- 12:11around the league. Um, No one of them I think has more than
- 12:13one full season as a starter as an NFL safety. So you're counting on
- 12:18competition in training camp elevating one of those guys above the others to clearly take
- 12:22a step and clearly determine that that he's going to be the starter on this
- 12:26team opposite Savage. That's not a great position to go into camp. It's
- 12:31not comforting, especially a position exactly, Yeah, and and so, and
- 12:37then you look down there down the roster again, there's a you know,
- 12:39there's a seventh round rookie out of Iowa State. They're drafted Anthony Johnson,
- 12:43who looks like, you know, there's there's some potential there, but again
- 12:45Day three picks, those are lottery picks, especially that late in the draft,
- 12:48so you certainly can't count on him for anything. So that the there's
- 12:52depth there, there's guys who probably can play, but at you know they
- 12:58can pitch in. I would be fine with any of those guys is a
- 13:00third safety for safety, but having to rely on one of those guys to
- 13:05take a step up and be a full time starter, that's giving me a
- 13:09little bit of heartburn at this point in the off season. Absolutely. All
- 13:11right, Well let's move over to the offensive side of the ball here,
- 13:16Evan, And of course we need to talk about the quarterback position, the
- 13:20expectations for Jordan Love this coming season. And I think another aspect of this
- 13:24is is how prepared is Jordan Love to really take the reins of the offense
- 13:31at this point. It's not like he's a rookie quarterback coming into the Green
- 13:35Bay Packers organization and necessarily to this offense. So what are your thoughts on
- 13:41of course, the biggest storyline and Packers Nation heading into this season. How
- 13:46prepared is Jordan Love? Yeah, I think certainly he's as prepared as you
- 13:50could ever hope a first time started to be. You look back at last
- 13:54season and Rogers didnt show up for OTA's last year Green Bay. Yep.
- 13:58So Love all of the all the reps with the first team, you know,
- 14:01during the whole spring program last year. Um, basically got every snap
- 14:05in the preseason last season also and and now you know, full blown offseason,
- 14:11working with his receivers, working working into the starting role. Um.
- 14:16He also got some significant playing time last year, especially again in that Philly
- 14:20game, saw coming in for for Rogers when he was banged up a little
- 14:24bit in Um, you know, at the end of the the end of
- 14:26that game and looked pretty darn good. Um, I know Philly's coverage was
- 14:31was probably a little vidella towards the end of the game with he made trying
- 14:33to come back. Yeah, a little bit, but but he made I
- 14:37mean, he made good decisions, He made good accurate throws, and and
- 14:39he let his receivers do the work for him. And you know Watson with
- 14:43that big one. So um, I actually broke this down a little bit.
- 14:46The other day. Love has actually had more pass attempts and um he
- 14:52had He's played in more games than Rogers did in his first three years when
- 14:54he was sitting behind bred Farm. All right, So it's not a huge
- 14:58it's not a huge amount. I think it something like eighty three pass attempts
- 15:01to fifty nine or something like that. That's not like we've got a huge
- 15:05sample size that it is. Yeah, that's exactly right. Yep, yep.
- 15:09So's he's played large stretches of a handful of games. I think Packers
- 15:13fans after that Philly game, we're ready to give up on any hope of
- 15:18the postseason. When they were sitting at four and eight one week to go
- 15:22before the buy, I think I was certainly in the position that, you
- 15:26know, at a four and eight record with five games to go, this
- 15:30is the time to hand over the reins to Jordan's Love, especially knowing that
- 15:35Rogers had that thumb injury that he was dealing with for so much last season,
- 15:37and then when he went out of that that Philly game looked like that
- 15:41was going to be more serious than it ended up being as well. So
- 15:43there was a lot of talk amongst us saying this is This is as good
- 15:48a time as you're going to get to put Jordan Love in the starting lineup,
- 15:50give him a couple of games down the stretch, see what you really
- 15:54have in this guy, and give him a chance to make some mistakes and
- 15:56work him out now in games that probably aren't really going to matter. And
- 16:00I think if the Packers had lost any of those next four games and gotten
- 16:04knocked down to nine losses, they probably would have gone ahead and pulled the
- 16:07trigger. But because there was that glimmer of hope at the postseason and everything
- 16:11started breaking just right right the Green Bay down the line to end up having
- 16:15a win in your end game in Week eighteen, they wanted to keep that
- 16:18hope alive. They wanted to give Rogers all the playing time down the stretch
- 16:22and two until they were completely mathematically eliminated. So I think in a sense
- 16:27we were. We were robbed a little bit of the chance to see a
- 16:30little more Jordan Love playing time down the end of last season because Packers actually
- 16:34won some games and stayed in the hunt. But but it sounds like it
- 16:38sounds like he's prepared to money and get it done. From an offensive perspective,
- 16:42with the young receivers here and developed with them as well. Absolutely,
- 16:48I think that's that's part of the reason why I think they they focused so
- 16:52heavily on offensive weapons in this draft and even last year. Um that's three
- 16:56two drafts in a row that they've drafted three wide receivers last year this season,
- 17:00So I do think that that is a focus, is letting these guys
- 17:03grow and develop together, you know, work on building some chemistry among among
- 17:08this passing game, and you know, we'll we'll see where that takes us
- 17:12come Week one. I'm just hoping that they do give him at least some
- 17:15decent playing time in the preseason as well to get some live looks again and
- 17:21you know, just make sure he's you know, his feeling the speed of
- 17:23the game a little bit again before Week one begins. Well, not everybody
- 17:27in the offense is quote young. There's certainly some veterans on the offense and
- 17:32one that I specifically, you know, want to get into and that's Aaron
- 17:36Jones. And I wonder what Aaron Jones's workload is going to look like this
- 17:41season, especially if Jordan Love does struggle out of the gate for whatever reason.
- 17:45I mean at this point, Jones has the sixth most rushing yards in
- 17:48the league, the ninth most rushing touchdowns, and the second highest yards per
- 17:53carry in the NFL. That's what you're getting from Aaron Jones at this point
- 17:59in his career. How do you envision Aaron Jones's role this season given the
- 18:03new quarterback situation as well, and just basically rushing the ball on the ground
- 18:08in general, again, brand new quarterbacks starting under center. How do you
- 18:12see his role developing this season? Staying the same, changing a little bit.
- 18:17What are your thoughts? Yeah, I think part of it has to
- 18:21do with how the offense as a whole is going to change a little bit.
- 18:23I do think that Lafleur's offense the last four years was somewhat tailored to
- 18:29Aaron Rodgers and the fact that Rogers like certain things done a certain way.
- 18:33He wasn't crazy about a lot of presnap motion, certain certain things like that
- 18:37that he always wanted the ability to audible, and he seemed like he would
- 18:41do a lot of pre snap decision making on things like zone reads and that
- 18:47sort of thing. I think, with love, you're going to see the
- 18:49true version of the Matt Lafleur offense as he envisions it, and it's probably
- 18:53going to look a little more similar to the Shanahan offense out in San Francisco
- 18:57in obviously those guys coached together. Yeah, and I think you're going to
- 19:02see more You're going to see a lot more motion. I think that's part
- 19:04of it, And I think Jones is going to be a big part of
- 19:06that. Um. He's a guy who can do some of the jet motion
- 19:08stuff that you see like Bebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey do. Um. He
- 19:14is a player who has a lot of versatility, and that's something that I
- 19:18think Lafleur is really going to try to emphasize and to highlight in this this
- 19:22offensive scheme. You can do stuff with him, you can do stuff with
- 19:25Christian Watson, and then you can you know, you can line them up
- 19:27kind of in different places and then have aj Dillon as your power back in
- 19:30the backfield, um, knowing that if you give it to him on a
- 19:33dive, he's he's going to basically pick up four yards every time. Right.
- 19:37So there's a lot of different ways you can use Jones and and certainly
- 19:41one of his best traits is just fundamentally his vision behind the line, his
- 19:45ability to jump cut and to to run the the zone running game and see
- 19:52those holes open up in front of him. So certainly you want to give
- 19:53him, you know, you want to get him that two hundred carries plus
- 19:56out of the backfield. But I do think you're going to see them in
- 20:00a little bit more creative ways than maybe Lafleur was comfortable giving it to him
- 20:06before, just because this is going to the Lafleur's offense and you're going to
- 20:11have all those different little wrinkles that maybe he didn't get to implement as much
- 20:15as he would have liked with a certain veteran quarterback under center. All right,
- 20:19very good. Well, we've got one more segment that we want to
- 20:22get into with the attacks before we let you go here, and it's actually
- 20:26the debut of our standout and stepped on segment. So if you don't mind,
- 20:32I'd like for you to give me two players you think will be a
- 20:34standout this coming season on the Green Bay Packers. Who are those two players
- 20:41that you've been thinking about who's really going to stand out for this team?
- 20:45Yeah, I think by the end of the season, everybody in the NFL
- 20:47is going to know Elton Jenkins's name. I think he is going to be
- 20:51an All Pro at left guard. Last season he came off at tourney ACL
- 20:55They bump bud him around the line a whole bunch. He's a really versatile
- 20:57guy. He can play everywhere. But now once he got settled back in
- 21:00at left guard at mid season, he was playing at an all Pro level
- 21:04the second half of the year. I think he's fully healthy. I think
- 21:07he's going to get back to that and he is going to be first team
- 21:11second team All Pro left guard coming up this season. Tackers I think have
- 21:15the best best tandem of offensive lineman on the left side with him and David
- 21:21Baktri in the NFL as far as I'm concerned, and I think we're going
- 21:23to be talking about him for a long time to come. And going to
- 21:29the other side. I mentioned Devanta Wyatt earlier, the defensive lineman. I
- 21:33think that that he does break out this season with some starters, raps,
- 21:38starters snaps significant additional playing time. I think you're going to see him be
- 21:45a very disruptive interior defensive lineman, getting a quarterback's faces, collapsing the pocket.
- 21:52I think he could be the best kind of pass rushing d lineman the
- 21:55Packers have had since like Mike Daniels five or six years ago. All Right,
- 21:59he'll be a guy to be, to be on your radars, I'd
- 22:02say, you know, I'm gonna I'll stake my claim. I'll say he's
- 22:04in the seven eight sack range, which you know a three to four tackle
- 22:08is is pretty dark. That's pretty good. That is very good. Yeah,
- 22:11I'd like to give me those two guys. I love it. I
- 22:15love your standouts for sure. You know, the trenches are I think just
- 22:21so underrated. Still as we know, this is a passing league. Quarterback,
- 22:25wide receivers, tight ends, they get so much love, and rightfully
- 22:27so. But I love I love the talent that we see in the trenches,
- 22:30and especially you know what's going to be happened on that left side of
- 22:33the offensive line for the Packers, like you mentioned tech. So let's now
- 22:37get into stepped on. Give me two players you think will get just stepped
- 22:41on throughout the coming season. They may have a little concern about who are
- 22:45those players? Yeah, I think you look right next to Jenkins on the
- 22:49offensive Lion Josh Myers, who was the starting center for the team the last
- 22:53two years, second round pick in twenty twenty one, head into his third
- 22:57year, but he just says now taken the step that step forward that the
- 23:00Packers were looking for from him. Um, he did play every snap last
- 23:04year, but he did not play at a high level. And I think
- 23:08Packers fans are also a little salty because Green Bay took him one pick before
- 23:12Creed Humphrey, the chief center who pro ball player you know has been you
- 23:18know, has become one of the best centers in the NFL. And so
- 23:22Um, Myers has not developed and I think there's a chance that he might
- 23:26not be in the starting lineup by mid season. Wow, you got a
- 23:29guy in Zach Zack tom who they they picked in the fourth round last year,
- 23:33who has played center tackle, um, and and he might be a
- 23:36candidate to step in there if Myers struggles. And so that's that's one guy
- 23:40to keep an eye out for. And the other one, Um, It's
- 23:45it's kind of crazy to say because he was an All Pro two years ago,
- 23:48but Devondrac Campbell, the line um, he seemed like he really took
- 23:51a step back last year and he wasn't. He wasn't as fast as he
- 23:55was two years ago in that all pro season. Um, it seemed like
- 23:59he was a little nicked up throughout a good portion of the year. But
- 24:02even when he seemed healthy, the instincts and the close to the football just
- 24:07wasn't quite there. And I do wonder is he's starting to lose a step
- 24:11a little bit. Are there some nanging injuries that's that are starting to catch
- 24:15up to him. Um, But certainly after that that incredible high two years
- 24:18ago when he came in and and just had an absolutely incredible season for Green
- 24:22Bay, basically getting signed off the street in June, Ye got that big
- 24:26contract before last year and his play really sort of tailed off, And so
- 24:30I'm I'm concerned that that that's a sign of a trend of a guy who's
- 24:34approaching thirty years old, and you know, at that position where you're dealing
- 24:40a lot of punishment, but as an inside linebacker, you're you're taking a
- 24:44lot of a lot of it too, pulling guards and all that. So,
- 24:47um, he'll be want to keep an eye on. And I at
- 24:49least have some level of concern about two interesting candidates for stepped on for sure,
- 24:53and thanks for doing that. Was the first time we did that bit
- 24:57here, first time we did that segment. Fantastic job, my friend.
- 25:00So so yeah, that's gonna do it for us here on opposition territory and
- 25:07text. It was great having you on. Very much appreciate you taking the
- 25:11time with your Green Bay Packers. Well, unless they face the Eagles in
- 25:15the NFC Championship game or in the playoffs at all, but it's gonna be
- 25:18fascinating to watch this team come back, join us, join us down the
- 25:22road. I'd love to talk to you as a season's getting started, as
- 25:26we're getting into it, talk more Green Bay Packers with you, my friend,
- 25:29my pleasure. It's always a good time. And yeah, look forward
- 25:30to coming back on at some point. A fantastic discussion with Evan there.
- 25:36Man. I got to tell you, I think I think that Green Bay
- 25:38Packers could potentially surprise some folks this season because, yes, Jordan Love again,
- 25:45he's not a rookie quarterback. You know, he has been getting that
- 25:49tutelage under Aaron Rodgers. And you know, you think about Aaron Rodgers and
- 25:55you feel about him however you want to feel about him. But the fact
- 25:56of the matter is he's one of the best quarterback that has ever played in
- 26:00this league. And the fact that this incoming quarterback in Jordan Love, who
- 26:04has some experience, as text was just talking about, you know, it
- 26:07has been able to learn from him. There's something to that, and it's
- 26:11going to be interesting to see how he continues to develop over this season and
- 26:15again especially with these young receivers. So I'm gonna be fascinated to see what
- 26:21happens in Green Bay this year, for sure. Great great storylines there,
- 26:23great storylines throughout the NFL, and we're gonna continue talking about them here on
